Oh are all witches associated to the moon in some way?

Well, personally, they do have some times with the moon or more generally nighttime in general but that's mostly my take on the Rayman witches, there could be witches that are not associated with moon or nighttime at all.

Begoniax's whole thing is mostly about her wanting to become beautiful and the moon is commonly linked to goddesses of love and beauty. And given that the Bog of Murk is mostly during nighttime, it works. Still, I really don't like Begoniax all that much but here's me trying to come up with an example. For Clara's case, her name could do well enough, I think.

In the original scrapped Rayman 3 plot, Begoniax was going to be helpful a bit cause her main motivation was to find or make a beauty potion so she leads you to Razoff. When you beat him he cries and his tears are the beauty potion so she uses them and finally becomes beautiful. Razoff falls in love with her and the couple helps Rayman out. I much preferred the scrapped storyline as well like you.

I headcanon that she’s a woman who prefers to keep to herself. She doesn’t mind being alone most of the times but gets lonely. Her main income comes from selling her botched potions at the local farmers market. She is an avid reader of romance novels has a whole shelf full of them. She hates intruders and turns them into toads and frogs and released them into the swamp. (She has unknowingly restored the ecosystem of the swamp because of that). She does actually have friends, Mama Híte visits regularly doing gossip and exchanging ingredients.

Her and Razoff have a mutual crush but neither would act on it out of pride or poor self-esteem. I do love the joke that the true beauty potion doesn’t change her all that much it just gave her blond hair, some lipstick and a pink dress all of which you would not need a potion to do. She just does things the more complicated way instead of the easy ways.

If I remember Rayman 3 was going to have a plot line similar in tone and structure to Rayman 2 in fact Rayman’s character model was just a higher definition of his design in 2.

For example Murfy was going to stay with you for a longer period of time before he has to leave and let a new guide fairy named Ludivine take over his role in helping you. Clark the giant was going to appear as an ally along with Ly in fact there’s a character model of Ly for Rayman 3 already made.

Begoniax was going to be an ally that would only help you if you help her in completing her potion that would make her beautiful which is what she was making on that big pot in the final game.

Reflux absorbed Leptys making him all powerful and you had to free the deity from Reflux.

Eventually it was retooled into a more comedic self aware story with a bit of an edge to it which was the style at the time.

Begoniax, Mama Hite, and Voodoo Mama are great friends. They love to visit each other’s home and gossip about everything.

I like your headcanon, it sounds very funny and fun, I think they would get along very well and understand each other very well^^

if the rayman 3 remaster is real, surely theyll put a disclaimer like in bge20 about "this game was made in 2003 sorry about gonzo and maybe begoniax if you're actually paying attention" but i wonder if they're gonna censor it like the HD version (they upped the E rating to E10 and changed nothing afaik except censored the ludiv that said "oh my god")

Razoff is this reptilian hunter who comes from a long family line of hunters who try to catch the most “dangerous and exotic” prey. Razoff chooses Rayman as his prey and attempts to hunt him down. It’s more like Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny so Rayman outsmarts and defeats him.

He is last seen struggling in the tight hugging grip from a swamp witch named Begoniax who’s madly in love with him and she runs off with him leaving his fate unknown.

Begoniax and Annetta took a moment to quietly discuss the fate of the admiral. When they come to an agreement, the sea witch pointed towards the water, and the Admiral was flung into the waters below. Begoniax then sank back beneath the waves to claim her prize.

Gorm crossed back over to his ship to rejoin the others with Rayman. The limbless stays beside his wife and Barbara would stand back with Pearl. Rayman helps Naida to her feet, allowing her to lean against him for support if she needs to. The limbless held a smile as he heard those words. Gorm takes the covered tail and holds onto it as the father of Naida jumped into the water to retrieve the gifts for the family. Rayman holds his hand out to accept the music box.

"I'll keep this safe. Once we reach land I'll give it to Naida. Gorm, is it alright if we stay in your kingdom for a while? I know we were already planning on this so Pearl would be able to spend time amongst other humans..."

"You know I'll never turn down a chance for you to visit, lad! Your welcome to join us as well, your majesty. My castle has plenty of room to house all of ya. It'll be a big change from Rayman's kingdom, but if you're fine with that, I'd love to have ya."

Naida went to the other ship, a hand taking Pearl's as she goes to Gorm's ship with careful, to just stay there as the fight went on. The kiss that Rayman gave her was returned and Pearl gave her father a hug.

The Queen knows that Rayman will be okay her father, aunt and his aunt were there after all!! And not only them, but Gorm too, Gorm and his army, she knew that everything was gonna be okay as she tried to relax and sat down with Pearl that laid her head on her mother's stomach, not wanting to see nothing.

The King of the seas just raised his weapon at the robot pirate. But he was interrupted once the other King approached, his cold stare softened with sadnessas he takes the remains of his wife, her beautiful pearl white tail, that her scales when she was alive were as beautiful as the rainbow after a rain... glistening under the light as she was some kind of deity, when she was just a precious mermaid with such a beautiful voice.

He takes the tail and just hugs it with sadness and love. He didn't even dared to see the tail, he knew it was that as the texture of the scales were the same one...

"begoniax.... Sister, Anetta... He is all yours, do all you want with him. I have to talk with Naida and Rayman for a moment..."

Says the king of the seas as he elevates himself with his water magic to the other ship, sitting over his tail.

"Rayman, Naida. I need to talk with you both... Pearl. Stay with one of the princesses. I need to talk with your parents..."

Says him, as Naida struggles sightly to get up and return to her feet. Getting up in a slow manner as she places a hand over her belly.

“ 𝙳𝚊𝚍 ﹖𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚖 ﹖”

"I want to stay with you for a bit... I might need a little vacation. but for now... It's better if King Gorm allows me of course. Stay in his lands for a bit until something is done... I will explain later..."

“ 𝙸 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚏𝚊𝚌𝚎... 𝚍𝚊𝚍... 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚍 ﹖”

"Not now, Naida, later. I promise.... Now you need to rest, I know you are pregnant. I am so glad, sweetie... You are going to make me a granfather again!!. You and Rayman... And after that and give the tail to Gorm again to jump off the ship and bring two things... an enchanted necklace for Pearl and the music box of Naida.

"This is for Pearl... I will give it later to her and this is for you... for your babies..."

Razorwife would be in a book club with Uglette.

Betilla is also there. She often hosts it at her house complete with refreshments.

Begoniax has been invited but doesn't join because she doesn't want to share her massive collection of saucy romance novels.

Space mama is in the club. Voodoo mama isn't because she's really lazy about reading the assigned books XD

Clark is in the book club. He is the only one who takes it 100% seriously and forms thoughtful discussions about the plotlines and themes regardless of how smutty the material is.

Murfy was kicked out of the book club because he reads books too quickly and wouldn't stop spoiling them before anyone else can finish them. He is very salty about this.

Elysia wants to be in the book club but is worried about her sister Barbara finding out and calling her a bookworm. Uglette makes sure she has a copy of each book to keep her included.

Haha yeah Clara is very obscure pretty much appearing in one edutainment Rayman game and then never again.

The game was never localized in English as well. Love your redesign of her especially the hair and playing up her witchy aspects more. Gives a friendly vibe like Sabrina The Teenage Witch and her aunts.

Yep. I felt like her og design didn't scream "witch" enough as her clothes were casual and all. Had to swoop her hair down for her witch hat too.

I also thought she would make a nice opposite to Begoniax since she's also a witch. Compared to her, Clara is the better witch.
