I finally finished this tonight. This is a piece at least 15 years in the making! 👀 my wonderfully talented mommy had plans to make this for me when I was in high school, but was never able to get around to it. I was helping her go through her stashes of fabric a while back and we found this, still all together with the pattern, closures, and material! She unfortunately can’t see or sew too much anymore, and she asked me if I’d like to give it a shot. Not a drawing this time, but a boatload of fabric face masks that I’ve been working on this weekend. I’ve never sewn before (a small patchwork once, about a year ago) and now with the whole crisis I’ve finally taken my sewing machine out of it’s box and started. My back hurts like hell and I can only see loose threads now, but I am happy with them! What will I do with all these masks? That’s for me to know and for (some of) you to find out...

Also I found the pattern on www.tianascloset.com, which was a lot easier than I thought it would be!!
