incidentally this is also the order for the doing-each-other's-hair train because while yoo mia WILL allow other people to do her hair, no one wants to because she always compares their skills unfavorably to her brother's. and she's really articulate about it. just utterly scathing. one time her criticism was so devastatingly, accurately incisive that she made lee hyunsung cry. yoo joonghyuk spooned him that night to cheer him up and yoo mia was so mad about it that lee hyunsung had to leave the country for a couple weeks. the household learned a valuable lesson that day. it's best not to disturb the delicate spooning/hair-train balance.

WELL. i'm in contact with the person who took those pictures. the VHS belongs to a friend of theirs who was actually in the production. it's been many years and the friend has moved across the country since those photos were taken, so he isn't sure where the tape is now. but i was told that if it's found, they'll let me know. it's the kind of situation where we just have to wait and see. the lines of communication are still open, but i don't want to bug them for updates. we've just gotta be patient.

to be completely honest, i'm not even sure i want it to be found at this point. i've already received a lot of shit for other things i've uncovered and it makes me hesitant to want to open myself up to more of that.

The last time I tried to use a Weighted blanket was right after the spider bite and I couldn't do it. Instead of relieving stress like it did before, it felt like I was unable to breathe and made everything so much worse. I tried several times over the next few months, but it didn't help anymore. I kept it in my closet and moved it to Chicago with me as a cover for my TV, but when we were unfolding it to pack a brown recluse climbed out of it and even though I knew there was no danger once it was gone, the association was permanent and I never ended up trying to use it until finally I ditched it in June.

I went today to get a new pillow and like, I did but I also walked out with a new weighted blanket and a weighted dragon plushie and oh my god. My bed just went from "that place where I sleep" to "my oasis, my port in a storm, the place I will now daydream of returning to." it almost feels wrong to be this comfy. three years of stress are being pressed out of me like milk from a barrel of almonds. Like when your dish sponge is black with burnt residue and you get it nice and wet and squeeze until it turns yellow again. Weirdly I feel like I'm almost levitating instead of being weighed down. The dragon is the perfect shape to sit on my shoulder/upper chest, and I can rest my head on it without it losing its shape or slipping off. I'm going to wind up with temporary nerve damage in my heel where it's pressed into the mattress a little. I'm never moving again.
