suddenly I have realized my bad habit of procrastinating has become a nearly debilitating fear
#Like#for ex I had an exam due today#I meant to study for it over the week#But every time I sat down to do so I just got really scared and stressed and felt like I wasn’t going to be able to study enough???#And so I couldn’t concentrate and did literally anything else instead and it ruined my entire week bc I was so worried#And anyways I ended up actually studying for the exam for only around 3 hours. TODAY. And took it and sent it in just before midnight.#Which is a very bad habit that I have#I’m pretty sure I did well tho#bc despite the fact I was so worried I wasn’t ready for it that I didn’t GET ready for it#I do actually know the material pretty well#And now I’m sitting here with the knowledge that if I’d sat and just studied even ONE other time this week#I could easily have gotten a 100#And now I’m realizing that I may have anxiety#Which I knew before but like. Now I KNOW#And also a really bad case of I Need To Be Perfect Or The World Will End And Everyone Will Hate Me#also the adhd isn’t helping#So yeah#That’s something that happened#I tend to put things off bc “im not ready” for them in general now that I think abt it. Huh.#evie rambles#Evie rants#It has become a habit of mine to vent in the tumblr tags#Sorry folks#XD

rude. 。°✩ e. kirishima

pov ; your dad won’t give ur boyfriend of 8 years his blessing
pairing: eijiro kirishima x fem!reader
warnings: fluff, marriage, swearing, yearning lovesick kirishima!!!
word count: ~1.9k. song; rude by magic!
kirishima had fallen in love with you at first sight.
the minute he saw you in the entrance exams, he prayed you’d both get in together. he came up to you and wished you a very manly , loud, “good luck!!” with a hand on his hip and his other in a thumbs up.
you’d found it weird at first, and returned his enthusiasm with an awkward “thank you..?” and walked away.
now, 11 years later, looking back, you find it endearing, and can’t believe how long it took you to end up where you are now.
the minute he heard you woke up after the war, kirishima ran to your room and hugged you. not even 2 seconds before you could process him, he asked you to be his girlfriend and explained how he felt about you all along.
“[name], i’m so inlove with you. i have been since the entrance exams. i’ve been keeping that from you for three years.. so sorry. that wasn’t cool of me. i really, really hope you feeling the same way ‘cause if you don’t, i’ll bet i look pretty stupid right now.. you’re just so.. beautiful and captivating .. and strong. so strong.. and really cool just.. all around. what i’m trying to say is.. will you be my girlfriend? please? oh! dang, and i’m so so glad you’re okay! i should’ve started with that.. dang it.“
he said everything so rushed, you just sat there in your hospital bed blinking at him.
“i.. what?”
“its okay if you don’t feel the sa-“
you finally processed it all.
“no, no! i do! im sorry, it took me a minute to process.”
he rubbed the back of his head, looking at the floor. the tips of his ears were turning the same color as his hair now.
it was adorable.
“so…?”
“yes! yes, i’ll be your girlfriend!”
now, 8 years later, you’re still together and more in love than ever. you’ve succeeded at acquiring your dream job, and your boyfriend has been climbing up the hero rankings, sitting at #12! what could be better than this? there’s one problem though.. what’s been taking him so long to make you his forever?
it was approximately 8AM, you woke up to a message from your boyfriend saying he left early for work.
you sighed, reading through the text.
goodmorning, babe! if you’re reading this it’s cause you’re awake, which means you should have (hopefully) noticed your amazing, radical, the manliest of them all boyfriend is infact not laying down next to you! (that’s me btw) i had to go to work early babes, i’ll be home later! i love you baba girl😘😍😍!
you chuckled, texted back a heart and an okay , be safe before you went to check the calendar.
it was saturday.
eijiro almost never, ever worked on saturdays unless there was an emergency. he wouldn’t even check in at the agency.
so of course, the first thing you did was check the news.
nothing really, just small criminals and no big villains. what could he possibly be doing?
so the next thing you did was check his location. not because you’re crazy, but you were genuinely worried. you never ever checked his location, you didn’t need to. but he insisted to give you it just in case, so you never had to doubt.
currently, he was on super close to Osaka, and it said he’d been driving there for about two hours now.
Osaka? What the hell is in Osa…
your parents. your parents lived in Osaka, nobody else you guys knew lived there. when you saw exactly where he was, you saw he was literally pulling up on your parent’s street.
what the hell?
eijiro pulled up in the driveway to your parents house, his palms clammy on the steering wheel.
he’d been thinking about doing this for a while now, but he knew just how your dad felt about him.
your dad was a very old-fashioned man, didn’t exactly love the idea of you dating, much less marrying, a hero.
he didn’t want there to be an accident, only to end up with a depressed, grieving, hurt daughter.
and he made sure you knew it.
“he’s gonna do something stupid one day, [name], and then you’ll regret it.“
you’d always ignored him, and eijiro was forever grateful.
he tried as hard as he could to change your dad’s views on heroes, explaining how passionate he was, and why he decided on it in the first place.
he never really budged though.
now, kirishima was standing at your parents’ doorstep at 8am on a saturday morning, in his best suit, tailored just for this moment, and a big bouquet for your mom.
he brushed his hands on his dress pants and pushed the doorbell button.
he stood there for a minute looking at his shoes, until he heard the lock turn.
when he looked up, he was met with your dad’s resting bitch face. except now it was ten times worse, seeing as it was 8 in the morning.
“ah.. goodmorning, mr. [surname].”
“eijiro? it’s 8am.” your dad crossed his arms, spreading his feet.
“i know.” he lifted his hand, handing the flowers over to your father. “those are for mrs. [surname].”
“thank you? why are you here, young man?” he scowled.
“i came because i wanted to ask you.. for your blessing.” he rubbed the back of his neck, “to marry [name].”
“i love your daughter more than anything, and i’ve kept her waiting for 8 years now. i’ve been inlove with her for 11 years now, and i want to spend the rest of my life with her.”
your dad scoffed to that, “which i’m sure won’t be long, eijiro. your job is gonna end up with my daughter heartbroken.”
“sir, please, i’m safe! i love your daughter, plea—”
“over my dead body. no. until i die, you aren’t marrying my daughter.” he slammed the door in front of eijiro.
“fuck..” he sighed, running a hand through his hair before walking back to his car.
“I just don’t get why he’s so rude to me.” kirishima groaned, placing his beer on the table infront of him.
“he’s just an asshole dude, ignore him.” bakugo responded, rolling his eyes.
“hey! that’s my future father in law you’re talking about.” he whined, taking a swig of beer.
“he won’t be if you keep paying attention to the bullshit he’s spouting.” the blonde picked up his own beer, drinking it.
“dude, i’m gonna marry her anyways.. i just need to convince him.” kirishima insisted, his hands balling into fists.
the week after that, kirishima did the same thing as he did that last saturday morning, he bought a brand new suit and showed up with an bigger bouquet.
the door creaked open, and he made sure to get the first word in
“can i have your daughter for the rest of my life? please. i love her, i can provide for her as i always have, and i’ll give my life to make her happy.”
he prayed your father would say yes, chanting it in his head.
“no.” he slammed the door, again.
“hey babe, why does your dad hate me so much?”
it was now two weeks after the first visit, and you hadn’t asked him about why he went to go see your parents yet.
“he doesn’t hate you…” you curled on the couched next to him, stroking his hair, “he’s just looking out for me, babe.”
“why does he have to hate me in order to look out for you?” he pouted.
“he doesn’t hate you babe!”
the following week, he repeated his attempts.
another new suit, and a bigger bouquet. he stood at the door, determined to walk away with your fathers blessing this time.
one thing changed though, this time your father didnt open the door, your mom did.
“Oh. goodmorning, mrs. [surname]. how are you?” he asked, lifting the bouquet to her.
“goodmorning, eijiro. i’m well, thank you for asking, and for the flowers dear.” she smiled.
“is mr. [surname] home?” he asked, rubbing his sweaty palms on his pants again.
“yes, he is. let me get him for you.”
she stepped away from the door, and soon, your dad appeared. his expression was unreadable this time.
“you again?” he grunted.
“yes, sir. i know you’ve said no—three times now—but i love your daughter. i’m going to marry her. with or without your blessing… but i’d rather it be with.”
your father stayed silent.
“i’ve never loved anyone the way i love her. she’s the first and only person i’ve ever truly wanted to build a future with. i want to wake up next to her every morning. i want to take care of her, support her, grow old with her. and i promise you, with everything i have, i’ll protect her.”
your dad sighed, long and heavy.
“…you’re a persistent little bastard, huh?”
kirishima swallowed, “only for her, sir.”
your father stared at him for a long moment before stepping aside.
“come in.”
kirishima blinked, stunned. “w-what?”
“you heard me. come in.”
he followed him inside, nervous and stiff as a board.
they talked for over an hour. about life, about you, about the future. your father asked hard questions, challenged him, and at one point even asked if he was truly willing to give up being a hero someday if it came down to choosing between his life or yours.
without hesitation, kirishima answered, “i’d choose her. every time.”
eventually, your dad nodded slowly and let out another sigh.
“…fine. you have my blessing.”
kirishima nearly collapsed from relief.
“but you better not make her cry. not once. or i swear—”
“never, sir. never.”
a few days later, you came home to find a trail of glowing red petals leading to your backyard. confused, you followed them.
and there he was.
in a perfectly fitted black suit, holding a small, red velvet box in his hand, his other hand tucked nervously into his pocket.
the yard was lit up with fairy lights, and small candles floated in a heart-shaped pond he’d made with some help.
“[name],” he said, voice cracking just a little, “i’ve loved you since the day i met you. you’re everything to me. my best friend, my strength, my peace. i want to spend every second of my life making you feel as loved as you make me feel.”
he got down on one knee.
“will you marry me?”
you cried. of course you did.
dang it, he already messed up the first rule.
but you said yes so fast, he didn’t even finish opening the box before you tackled him with a hug.
later that night, you sat together under the stars, your head on his shoulder, your hand in his—now with a sparkling ring on it.
“so,” you whispered, “what changed my dad’s mind?”
he smiled and kissed your forehead. “i just told him the truth. and refused to leave until he believed it.”
you giggled. “you’re so stubborn.”
“only for you, babe.”

You had spent your Saturday recovering, not without frustration. It was a waste of time, you thought. You could have taken advantage of a day without any classes or work like that to study and make more progress, but Selene had come to visit you, worried.
She officially met Sky, who had always admired her since her first lessons with her. Selene had come to your bedside, placing a gentle hand on your forehead for a moment, then letting it slide down to your warm cheek. She sighed, familiar with your overworking habits.
She asked Sky about your night, about the prescribed treatment, and Selene couldn't help but exchange a knowing glance with you when Viktor was mentioned, especially for such chivalrous deeds. She smiled a playful ‘see, I told you so’ which made you pull your cover over your head in annoyance.
When she left, Sky came back to you, bringing you a chicken broth to restore your health, which she hoped you'd consume to the last drop.
"I'm sorry it had to come to this and calling them, calling him. But..." She sighed, watching you finally eat something with relief. "You were working yourself to death, and with such a pace, you probably wouldn't have been able to pass the exams at all if you'd kept going."
You swallowed your mouthful with difficulty, a small knot of shame and regret tightening it. You'd been so obsessed, so fixated on outdoing yourself and winning back your number one spot from Viktor that you'd become nothing more than an information-gobbling machine.
You didn't even need it, you'd just decided to get ahead on the next year's syllabus in the hope of impressing in the papers and showing your dedication. How could you be so stupid?
"Your state was deteriorating visibly..." Sky reflected, looking down at her hands before only meeting your gaze for a moment. "You really scared me, you know."
Your heart split in two. You placed your lunch tray on your bedside table, taking Sky's hands in yours and seeking her gaze despite her bowed head.
"Hey," you murmured in your tired voice as you smiled softly at her when she looked back at you. "You did the right thing, Sky. Without you..." you sighed, thinking back on your stupidity, "I don't know where I'd be right now. This was going to eat me alive until there would be nothing left of me but a white chalk outline on my desk."
She smiled softly, squeezing your hands. Her eyes glistened, her chin trembling slightly as she took off her glasses.
"Oh, Sky..." You pulled her into your arms, holding her close. "I'm sorry."
You couldn't imagine how tired she must have been, seeing you wasting away like that, not listening to her, not hearing her. She had her own revisions, her own things to do, and you had made your problem hers.
You could feel her forehead wrinkling, her hands trembling slightly around you as she twitched.
Since when did you become such an important part of someone's life that they cared that much about you?
What would have happened if, for one more year, you'd never had a flatmate? And if that flatmate hadn't been Sky, would she have had even an ounce of patience like your friend?
You'd fucked up and nearly gone off the deep end, and Sky had done everything she could to avoid it.
"I promise you to never do that again," you vowed, pulling away from her to run your thumb over her cheek and wipe away the tears. "Please, don't cry on me. Cry on... I don't know, Heimerdinger's hairstylist."
Don't cry for me, I'm not worth a waste of tears, not yours.
She laughed nervously, her eyes going to the ceiling. "I don't know why I'm crying, really, this is..." she sniffed, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, "this is stupid."
"No, it's not," you smiled, "It's good to cry."
She raised her eyebrows, wiggling her nose and shrugging. "Well, you never do."
"That's because I sold my lacrimal glands," you chuckled, trying to lighten the mood by joking.
And it worked - she laughed, the sadness slowly evaporating from her face. "So you have no tears, but you still have your heart, right ?"
You closed your fist, banging it against your chest. "It's a dusty engine, but it does its work."
"Well," she stood up, "I hope it can still feel something."
You observed her for a moment, picking up a saucepan and filling it with water. No doubt to make coffee, or at least tea to ward off your addiction and prevent your mechanical heart from overheating under the caffeine. No amount of Piltovian gold could offer you anything like Sky's sweetness.
"My heart's full of room for the very few friends I have." You picked up your bowl of broth again, its warmth cupped against your fingers. "Its aorta is named after you."
She turned to you, smiling, her eyes filling again with tears as she breathed in.
"You can't just say things like that and not expect me to ruin a box of these," she described movements in the air with her hands in ridiculous, exagerated swirls, "silk-soft tissues they have here."
"Their toilet paper is so thick and soft it feels like we're using pillows," you sneered before blowing on the bouillon.
"Right?!" Sky exclaimed, "It's only been like, a month and a half since I've been here and it all feels so fancy. Everything is so... clean."
"I know!" You laughed, "It's infuriating. The streets barely have a scratch, the buildings have colours straight out of a kid's colouring book, and they have trees."
She sighed, visualising the vegetation the city had before her eyes fell back on yours. "You never get used to it, right?"
You swallowed your mouthful of broth, pressing your lips into a thin line. "Never."
She leaned back against the worktop, watching you for a moment. "Seriously though." She tilted her head to one side. "Don't ever do that again."
You smiled, bringing your forefinger and thumb to your ear and pressing on the lobe.
It was a custom in Zaun to pledge your word. In the Undercity, you pressed your lobe as if you were piercing it, to imaginatively seal in the skin a ring other than the one on your finger. However, everyone knows that if you pull too hard on a piercing, you can tear the flesh, and find it difficult to retie the skin so that it can be pierced again. So the promise was made with a symbolic ring, anchored in the skin, that the promise would be kept.
"May my flesh tear apart if, by misfortune, I betrayed," you recited.
During the rest of the last week of classes before the exams, you resumed a much more normal revision routine than the original, much to Sky's delight. You'd revise with her in the afternoons outside class, asking each other questions about the subjects you shared while you were trying not to die laughing from the stupid ways you looked with your facemasks during skincare time.
When Friday came around, you decided to go to the library again. Unconsciously, it had become a ritual. With Viktor or without, you intended to surround yourself with knowledge as immense as possible.
You went and sat down at a table, alone, while many students who had come for the same reason were already crowding most of the available ones. You took out your things, rereading your index cards for the umpteenth time until you were almost ready to recite them by heart if the need arose.
You couldn't help but lose concentration when you heard your name spoken in the distance, coming from voices that weren’t familiar to you, further behind your back.
"And to say Viktor got put with her on Heimerdinger's subject," one said, chuckling.
"I wonder which of them pulls their hair out more in each other's company."
You tried not to think about it, but since, for once, the conversation wasn't all about the walking street lamp, you couldn't help but let your ears hang close to their mouths.
"Did you see her the other day? A vision of the apocalypse. Hollow cheeks and dead eyes like she hadn't eaten in a month."
"Gotta have hollow cheeks to suck the teachers better," her classmate sneered.
Your jaw tightened, trying to ignore their remarks. This wasn't your first time hearing such things - the previous two years hadn't been as gentle as this one, even if Viktor had caused a few problems with his arrival.
"Can you believe what she did to Tyler?"
"She's an animal." They both laughed, causing you to sink back into your chair.
"How do you think Viktor handles her?"
"He doesn't, she's just a handicap to him and he seems to have an embarrassing enough one as it is."
You inhaled. Someone will probably tell them to be quiet so as not to disturb the peace of the library. You hoped.
"Who's a handicap?"
Your eyes widened as you suddenly turned around. Viktor was standing there, facing them, both students suddenly looking very confused and ashamed.
"Viktor," one of them laughed nervously, "this was just a joke, she..."
But the student didn't have time to come up with an excuse. Viktor raised an eyebrow before speaking.
"She's an incredible person who no one can defeat," he informed them, the latter two lowering their eyes on their notes suddenly invested in their revisions. "Except me."
He punctuated his sentence, turning away from them and meeting your gaze. He seemed surprised, not expecting to find you there, at least not doing nothing when such needlessly cruel nonsense was uttered in your name.
Inevitably, of course, he moved towards you.
Except me. The phrase made you roll your eyes for a moment before you tried to read information from your notes that hadn't needed reading for a long time.
He sat down opposite you, keeping his hand on the pommel of his cane. "Your name seems to be on everyone's lips, Miss."
"What can I say," you sighed, "the obsession they have for me is an undying addiction."
However, Viktor didn't seem amused at all.
"Why do you let them say such things about you without lifting a finger?"
You bit the inside of your lip, feeling the pressure of his gaze on you as your eyes scanned uselessly over your revision sheets.
"It's not the first time I've heard that kind of comment about me," you confirmed without much interest, "I'll survive it."
"So you spend most of your time worrying about the injustices other people experience but you push your own under a doormat?" Viktor summed up, not seeming genuinely thrilled at the idea.
"If I could push the injustice that Tyler is by his very existence off the face of this world, I'd be stepping on some rich blonde aristocrat every time I left and returned from home."
But Viktor still wasn't laughing, far from it. When your eyes finally met his, they were dark.
He sighed. "Are you trying to punish yourself for something by neglecting yourself so much?"
I'd like to forget more than anything else in the world. The thought was taking over your soul, eating away at you like a gangrene with an insatiable hunger.
"Of course," you chuckled, exaggerating a falsely happy tone.
"Stop this." His tone was firm.
"Stop what?" you questioned.
"Trying to make something funny out of this."
You frowned, raising an eyebrow. "What? You're not feeling in the mood for our ritual chit chats?"
"Do I look like I'm joking around right now?"
His eyes had the same gleam, carried the same weight as when he'd held you in place in your bed just a week ago. You almost gulped, speechless. Why was he reacting like that? Why was he worried about you?
You lowered your eyes, licking your lips as you returned to your notes.
"Fine," you admitted, dropping your sarcastic tone. "I guess I owe you for saving my life, anyway."
It didn't sound like it, but it was probably the closest you'd come to a ‘thank you’ for him so far. He seemed surprised that you were finally cooperating in the conversation, that you were at last sending him a very subliminal magic word.
His shoulders slumped, as if the idea of being angry with you was stupid.
"How are you feeling?" He finally asked.
"I'm no longer sick, if that's the question you meant to ask."
"It was, but also," he brought his cane up between his legs, clasping both hands on the pommel as he came to rest his chin on it, "I just wanted to know how you are doing."
Why are you doing this? You were thinking back over the last few weeks. His questions during the power cut, the attention he'd paid to you, staying awake all night by your side to make sure you were taking your medication properly, and now...
"Well," you swallowed, these thoughts unsettling you for a moment and sending a foreign warmth into your belly, "the exams are approaching and I think you've had quite the close look on their effect on me so... yeah."
He considered you, tilting his head to the side until his cheek was the one pressed against the back of his hands. He scanned you, his gaze sending a warm wind up your spine.
"You're still on the treatment, right?"
The horrible powder you had to mix in a glass at least twice a day wasn't the moment you were looking forward to most in your daily routine, but you did it anyway, under Sky's sharp eyes.
You remained silent, just to see how Viktor would react and whether, as he had dictated, he would make sure you stayed in bed no matter what.
Faced with your silence, he raised an eyebrow as he straightened up, finally wrinkling his forehead as he frowned.
"Right?" he repeated, almost menacingly.
"Relax." A nervous chuckle escaped you. "Yes, I'm taking it."
He sighed in relief at the news, while you shook your head in confusion.
"You're putting all this effort... for me? Why"
The phrase sounded alien in your mouth, as if you weren't worth the time or energy of such dedication. He gazed at you for a moment, his eyes roving over your index cards.
"You know why."
"Because you can't have your best rival go against you while she's sick?" you recited.
"Because I don't want to be your rival."
You found this answer profoundly absurd.
"What do you mean-" But he cut you off, annoyed.
"What do you want, hmm? To become Heimerdinger's assistant?"
Of course, you thought, but the way Viktor had said it sounded... easy, too easy. Or at least, too easy for you.
"I don't intend to be his assistant, and I'm going to tell you why."
He stood up, walking around the table until he was beside you and leaning in slightly.
"Because I've already been his assistant, and I stopped."
The words echoed inside you, like the cracking of something you thought was indestructible. Your lips parted in shock, watching him with huge eyes as he straightened up.
"In any case. I wanted to make sure that you'd be back in good shape." He began to walk towards the library exit, turning one last time to give you a playful look. "And now that I'm sure you'll be in full shape, I know I don't need to hold back, hm, rival?"
He turned away, heading for the big door, leaving you with a short-circuited brain. What did he mean by "already been"? What did he mean he had stopped? How had Viktor ever been Heimerdinger's assistant?
When the sentence finally reached your mind after a long travel from your ears, you gathered your things in a flash as the questions began to fly and you almost ran to catch up with him. You caught up with him in the corridors, under the astonished gazes of all the students.
"What?" you asked, out of breath from the sudden exertion and the gust of wind the news had knocked from your chest.
He turned to you, slightly surprised that you'd practically chased after him. He'd probably expected you to sit at your table, mulling things over until the questions got too much for you and you decided to come and see him after a day or two of mental torment.
"You've been Heimerdinger's assistant?" you repeated, adjusting the strap of your satchel on your shoulder.
He shrugged, turning away from you. "Yes."
Was he really just going to leave like that? Leaving you in agony for answers you wanted more than anything? No, it wasn't going to be like that.
You grabbed his wrist, much to his surprise, and pulled him with you into an empty adjoining corridor. Once you were out of sight, checking from one end of the corridor to the other to see if anyone was there, you finally regained his gaze.
There was something in his eyes, like a hint of something that kept his lips parted until they closed and his eyes lowered to your hand still gripping his wrist.
You let go, the heat of shame spreading across your neck and cheeks for a moment as you took a step away, crossing your arms over your chest.
"When were you his assistant?"
He leaned against the wall, sighing as he stared at you.
"You do remember Jayce's trial, don't you?"
How could you forget? You hadn't been present at the trial. Selene had invited you to come as it concerned your friend, but you were too afraid of the aristocratic eyes and the pressure they would put on you.
The story remained vague. Due to special circumstances that remained under the security and secrecy of the administration as to the extent of Jayce's activities, he had been allowed to stay at the academy.
"Yes."
"By then, I had already been Heimerdinger’s assistant for a month.."
You now were certain you'd never seen him before. It was just one month into your summer holidays, and you had gone to Zaun to find Eris. Your chances of running into him were almost nil, no doubt about it.
"How did you get to become his assistant?" you quizzed.
He shrugged, and that simple movement made you want to scream. "I suppose he must have liked my assiduity enough to take me on. That and the fact that, with his little legs, I was bound to walk at his pace," he joked.
You held your breath in your lungs for a moment, before releasing it. He didn't seem to be lying, at least about the only serious part of his sentence. He was undoubtedly the best choice for Heimerdinger in any case.
However, it seemed to you that it wasn't so much exasperation that you were feeling - you were trying to understand what the feeling was... a relief, but not really about the fact that the assistant's place was free, no, a relief about Viktor that you couldn't really place at the moment.
"Why did you stop?" There was no longer any frustration in your voice, just a new-found curiosity.
Viktor seemed taken aback by your new intonation, straightening slightly against the wall. "It didn't interest me anymore."
What could he have found that was better? The thought, at last, that Viktor's aim was not to be an assistant for the rest of his life, crept into your mind. Viktor seemed to pick up on it.
"See? I told you we didn't have the same goal."
You finally realised what that feeling of relief was: you didn't have to hate him any more. You no longer had a reason to try to outdo him, no longer had a valid justification for becoming number one again. But why was it such a relief? There was rarely anything more gratuitous than hatred in what you knew, and it should have been the same for Viktor, so why was it such a relief not to have to hate him any more?
Hating him served no purpose, no motivation. It was useless, and what do you do with useless things?
You took half a step towards him.
"The truce you suggested, have you come up with any clauses?"
His eyebrows rose, his eyes widened. He lifted himself off the wall.
"Um no-" he began, but you cut him off.
"Find some, and I'll consider them."
And with that, you took off, leaving Viktor speechless.
You moved quickly, trying to get home as fast as possible. You were afraid that the street air, so pure and fresh, would wash away your conclusions and fuel a hatred that no longer had any reason to exist.
But you didn't go home straight away, making a diversion to Emeline's shop. As soon as you entered her shop, she didn't hesitate to jump on your neck and give you a hug.
"My little lamb," she enthused as she squeezed you until your ribs broke before cupping your face as if to examine you, "are you feeling better? You gave me quite a fright, you know! When your friend came to visit me and told me you were ill I nearly closed up shop to come and see you myself."
"Everything's fine," you laughed, squeezing her arms, "I've almost completely recovered!"
You'd decided that, after your chat with Viktor and all the effort you'd put into your revision, you deserved a little something to comfort you.
After a little chat with Emeline, she packed two pastries, one for you and one for Sky. Of course, she didn't forget to fill you up with an extra small packet of sweets that would have gone unsold during the day.
When you returned home, you greeted Sky with a smile and raised the two bags of treats to your head. She smiled in surprise.
"To what do we owe this feast?" she asked.
You shrugged. "Let's just say I've made resolutions for the better."
You'd been laughing all evening, stuffing your faces with these delicacies as you both took a well-deserved break from studying.
Your eyes turned to your tarot deck, you'd forgotten to draw any cards lately due to your revisions, so after wiping your hands full of sugar, you took the pack in hand.
“I see you pulling one almost every morning,” Sky remarked, lying on her stomach on your bed while you were cross-legged. “Why do you do that?”
You pulled out your cards in your hands. “To have a leitmotif to follow during the day. Although to be quite honest I don't follow their advice every time.”
She laughed softly, knowing by now your stubbornness like no other. “That doesn't surprise me at all.”
“Yeah well,” you smiled in turn as you shuffled the cards, ”some of them are not the best cards to wake up on to in the morning.”
So you cut your deck as usual, and looked at its underside. You raised your eyebrows.
“Just like this one.”
You showed Sky the card: Death.
She winced, her eyebrows furrowing as her mouth formed as if she were pronouncing the letter x.
“Okay, I get it,” she said, shaking her head. “Is it literal? I hope not, right?”
“Nah it's pretty safe.” You laughed. “The description of its meaning is in the little booklet.” You pointed to it with your chin, and Sky grabbed it, flipping through until she found the Death page.
“Transition. Underworld. Flux. Occultism. Letting go. Evolution requiring liberation. Metaphorical death.” She read. “Off to a great start apparently.”
You chuckled, observing the card as she continued reading. “Death moves across a field with a slow, steady march. A king lies dead. He represents the old systems of order cast aside. A bishop begs for mercy, a young girl turns away in fear and only a curious little girl looks up to greet death. She has not been taught to fear it.”
Your thumb passed over the little girl's drawing, your heart clenching.
“A ship sails away, heedless of death's march. A sun rises between two towers to reflect resurrection and new beginnings. All endings give way to new possibilities. Transformation leads to renewal and growth.” She raised her eyebrows. “Ain't as bad as I thought it would be.”
“Yeah,” you considered, thinking back on your day and the fact that the cards were pointing you in the right direction, ”indeed.”
Exam week was over. You'd had absolutely no trouble at all with any of the exercises. All the subjects were in the bag and you were finishing virtually ahead of schedule in every exam room.
Today was the day of results. The teachers had spent the weekend correcting everything, and the results boards had finally been displayed.
You woke up feeling lighter than you thought you would. Since realizing that there was no longer any point in chasing Viktor to victory, you'd relaxed.
You went down the hall with Sky, passing the student mailboxes for a moment so you could check if either of you had received anything.
You opened the metal door to a single letter, sealed with a metallic black wax seal you knew all too well: Eris.
You took the key to your apartment, using its teeth to open the envelope and take out the letter, which you brought to your nose.
Her letters always smelled of the essential oils and herbs that constantly appeased you. Without further ado, you unfolded the paper and read its contents.
My sweet friend,
I thought you were a lost cause in friendship, but I guess this year the wheel is really turning on your side. I'm delighted, and I imagine the same goes for Selene. I'd love to meet her, that Sky, she sounds absolutely charming. I'm guessing, though, that the day with your Five of Wands must have been no picnic, especially if - from what I understand - Emperor Viktor is to blame. But I'm sure that the Immeasurable Grandeur of the Prestigious Piltover Academy will crown your success.
You giggled to yourself as your eyes passed over the elegant, forced curves that Eris had taken care to add in response to your own inky bows.
I miss you so much. You know how the days are here in Zaun; I open, sell and consult, and close in the evening before any trouble starts. I'm paid with golden trinkets, new flowers to dry and other plants from other regions. I have managed to get some new customers, though, and not the least important ones. Renata Glasc herself has been to my shop.
You'd already heard of Renata Glasc, an ambitious woman who was growing in influence on the streets of Zaun. She wasn't a Chem Baroness, but at the rate she was going, it looked like she was well on her way to becoming one.
In fact, it's through her that I'm hearing about worrying things here. Common for Zaun, you may say, but I can't help thinking the worst. I'll tell you about it myself when we meet. I'm planning to come here around December 23, so let's meet at the usual bridge at three o'clock. I'll be staying with you for a few days. I can't tell you more. But I've lit a candle for you, wishing you success and good health.
I look forward to seeing you again, my dearest trouble,
Eris.
What could she possibly be worried about? The situation was invariably complicated in Zaun, but what could it be that she was worried about?
You carefully tucked the letter into your bag, heading out to the shuttle stop.
“Not too stressed?” Sky asked.
You huffed, a cloud of warmth rising into the air. The cold had been gaining in intensity for over a week, and all the students at the academy had donned their scarves.
“No.” you replied, confident. “You?”
“A bit,” she admitted, her breath trembling slightly.
“Hey,” you pressed your shoulder against hers as she turned to face you, ”you've got this. I know you do.”
She nodded, smiling at you as the shuttle arrived. The journey was swift, some students over-excited at the prospect of their results, others apprehensive about what was to come.
As you arrived at the golden gates of the academy, you noticed that neither Viktor nor Jayce were in sight. Perhaps they had decided to go to the academy later?
The group of students walked up to the scoreboards, an army of others already huddled in front of them.
Sky went in search of her name, while you breathed in, waiting for other students to pass before you.
You didn't know what awaited you at the top of the board, which name would be at the head. Did it still matter? Yes, it probably did, or it didn't. Did you want it to matter? Probably not. But did your mind keep wandering? Endlessly.
What if Viktor was still number one - would you be disappointed? What if you were number one - would you be satisfied? And if neither he nor you were number one, would you be revolted?
“Look who it is!”
That voice alone was enough to make you frown, raise your eyebrows and lower your eyelids in boredom.
Tyler.
You turned to him for a moment, him seeming pleased that you responded to his voice as you rolled your eyes and sighed.
“What do you want, blondie? Searching for a new name on the boards to torment?”
He chuckled, stepping toward you. “You don't change a winning team, darling. Have you found your place at the very bottom of the ranking?”
It was your turn to chuckle, turning to face him. He had no idea about your academic results, it seemed.
“Tyler you have as many neurons as you have eyes, and they're both fighting for any kind of connection.” You turned to the bulletin board, stepping forward slightly. “Do them mercy and close your eyelids for all eternity before we have to deal with a rain of fire and the horsemen and...”
But you didn't even finish your sentence, the words dying on your lips as your eyes came to rest on your name.
First place.
You were back in first place. Eyes and mouth wide open, you kept blinking to make sure your vision wasn't failing you. And the name underneath...
Viktor.
Your scores were almost equal, yours barely beating him.
“Told you I wasn't going to hold back.”
You turned towards the voice, the tinkle you now knew too well of his cane echoing on the floor. He stood there, serene, a small smile on his face before his lips pressed into an inverted grin and his eyebrows raised.
“You fight well, Miss.”
You couldn't help it - you cracked a smile at him. And Viktor seemed astonished, as if he'd never seen such a thing happen. No stupid remark, no pettiness behind your drawn lips, just sincere amusement and joy.
“What the...” Tyler's voice died in his throat as he took in the bulletin boards, turning to you. “How did you...”
You turned to him, his sole presence now not even enough to ruin your happiness and relief. “As if you could reach me,” you replied with a triumphant smile, walking out of the crowd to join Viktor.
Once you got away from all this tumult, he nodded. “You got first,” he remarked, “congratulations.”
You observed him for a second, his posture reflecting a sort of disappointment. Was it from losing? Or was it from the fact you seemed so happy in your rivalry with him? You sighed, rolling your eyes.
“Quit it,” you pronounced with a smile, shaking your head slightly. “We share this crown, and you perfectly know that.”
He said nothing, just gazing at you for a moment. There was this gleam, the tickling of a smile ready to be born on his lips as the satisfaction that, maybe, these ink duels you were both fencing would wash away and let something different be born from them.
He was apprehensive about saying something, but Jayce came towards you both.
“Ah, Jayce, exams went well?” You asked, knowing without a doubt that he didn't have to worry about his results.
“Oh yeah, perfect.” He nodded, pressing his lips into a thin line, his eyes darting from yours to Viktor's, surprised that you weren't quarrelling. “Say, hum... can I talk to you guys for a minute?”
Viktor and you exchanged a confused look, before ultimately following him.
“A masquerade?” you repeated, as if the word had never grazed your lips before.
Jayce had brought you to a room in the Academy where you could all talk without hearing the multiple cries of students as to their result. And considering what he had to discuss with you, he'd done the right thing.
“It's this thing Mel is invited to,” he explained nervously. “All the people of high aristocracy will be there, counselors, lords and ladies... Please, can you both accompany me to it?”
“As your dance partners?” joked Viktor, frowning.
“No, Mel's already my partner. But, she said that there would be no opposition for you both to come as well. You're the,” he seemed to search for words for a moment, ”croom dé la cram?”
“Crême de la crême?” you suggested.
He pointed at you, glad you understood. “Yeah, that. La crême de la crême of the Academy. Such prestigious students as the both of you sharing the top of the board deserve to be in such an event.”
“So you want us,” you pointed repeatedly between Viktor and yourself, ”to come to this event because you're too nervous to go there by yourself?”
The interested party scratched the back of his neck, sniffling before looking at you both with puppy-dog eyes. “Yeah?”
“Aren't you supposed to have a partner to come to a masquerade?” Interrogated Viktor.
“I thought you two could... go together?”
You chuckled, your mouth hanging open. You exchanged a bewildered look with Viktor, who didn't seem to be too upset by the concept.
“You're joking, right?” you asked.
“Please just-” he didn't finish his sentence, “put your bickering aside for one evening. You don't even have to show up together if it suits you better.”
“I don't see any problems with it,” Viktor shrugged, indifferent. “When is it?”
"Tomorrow night."
“Tomorrow night?” You exclaimed. “Jayce, if it's a society gala, I've got nothing to wear.”
He reached into his own wallet, pulled out some bills and handed them to you.
“Here, I'm sure you'll find something convenient with this.”
“Jayce,” you remarked, looking at the fresh bills, “what the hell.”
“This is not much for you to get a decent gown for the gala. Keep the rest, if there is any, to get some fancy accessories.” He grabbed your hand, placing the cash in it. “Truly, this is the least I can do.”
You knew Jayce's patrons were the Kiramman’s, but to have money to give away like this? Since when was that the case?
“Vik, I think it's time for us to go.” Jayce finally remarked before leaving the room, leaving the two of you.
You both stayed in silence for a moment, both digesting the information that had just been given to you.
“What a way to celebrate your victory,” Viktor finally sighed.
“I've seen worse celebrations than a masquerade,” you remarked, observing the tickets for a moment before folding them up, “but I think I've had better experiences than being in a room with nobility sipping glasses of champagne with petty innuendo in every exchange.”
He huffed in turn. “I suppose the next area in which we must excel in no time is the art of conversation in high society. Although, considering our usual conversation,” he leaned his head to the side with a smirk, "we'll fit right in."
“How exciting,” you raised your eyebrows sarcastically, letting silence take its rule back on the room before you finally decided to break it. ”Guess I better go and find myself something to wear. See you tomorrow, Viktor.”
“Wait,” he called to you, seeming hesitant about what he was going to suggest, ”would you like us to get together first and go? Or...”
“Let's meet directly at the party,” you assured him.
He nodded, his lips pressing in a thin line as you turned away. “Oh and...” you turned back to him at his words, his eyes piercing. “Don't forget the mask.”
You nodded, leaving the room.
You had today and tomorrow to find an outfit, and get used to the fact that Viktor was no longer a threat to be eliminated. Easier said than done.
But still… What a way to celebrate a rebirth.

fall in love again

summary uconn!paige x fem!reader you saw paige, your ex, at the bar. masterlist.
warnings drinking, angst, sexual tension
celestial notes thought about that one pazzi clip and a twice song at the same time... anyways send me some ideas if you guys have any. also im really trying my best to write longer, please bare with me! im trying my best!
“we are at a dead end, oh no, here we go again
tonight the stars out, lights flash thinking i was gonna dance. but rewind, playback now you got me in a trance
tonight we fall in love again.” - fila (fall in love again) - twice
paige bueckers, a name you’ve known since forever. she was the next best thing in the name of basketball, her name always headlining articles, newspapers, magazines, or even social media.
you dated paige during your sophomore year of college. you were in love with her, or at least you thought you were.
paige did show love and affection to you. she would sleep with you, go out on dates and even cook in the beginning of your relationship. it felt like everything you ever wanted in a relationship, what you dreamed of. however, things got rocky when she got an ankle injury. she was sidelined from the rest of her season, feeling the an outsider. her emotions immediately became taken out in you. she became mad instantly. constant arguments filled the apartment, arguing over stupid shit like what you were making for dinner. she would snap at you and blame you, saying everything was your fault. you were on thin ice when her behavior kept happening, as it started to question your commitment towards her.
one evening, you returned to your apartment from studying in the library most of the night. you had a final exam later in the week that was worth 50% of your grade. you put your keys on the counter, took of your shoes, and placed your bag on the couch. “paige, i’m home.” you spoke. however, you didn’t see her in the shared bedroom you had together. you checked the bathroom and living room, but nothing. no sight or scent of paige. a random instinct told you to check the guest bedroom, which was closed. it was always open.
you opened the door. your eyes immediately saw paige sleeping with another girl. you tried to gaslight yourself thinking studying was starting to fry your brain. but nope, this was real after you rubbed your eyes. her black wavy hair on paige's shoulder, as you noticed paige’s hands under her pants. you were pissed, anger flowing throughout your veins. “get the fuck out of my apartment. both of you.” you screamed, very sternly. paige woke up, seeing you. she got scared. she got out of bed to face you. “baby its not what it looks like.”
“bull fucking shit paige. i’m fucking breaking up with you. get the fuck out of my house, now. take your little side bitch too.” you wanted to kill her right then and there. "not only are you sleeping with her, but you're fucking her? are you fucking serious?" paige immediately woke up the girl. she woke up looking confused at what the yelling was about until her eyes darted to you, then paige, signaling that they had to leave. when paige left, a weight was lifted off your chest. you were done with paige, and it felt relieving that you broke that connection. it felt one-sided, like you were the only one who was trying to keep the relationship alive before it all went downhill.
10 months later, you were at your happiest, hanging out with your friends, partying, drinking, and having the time of your life. your best friend was turning 22, and you and your best friend decided to go to a bar near storrs. partying and drinking was a rare occasion for you. you decided to go to celebrate your best friend, not wanting to bring her down or ruin her day.
you entered the bar. black leather tube top with a denim mini skirt and black boots, whole outfit complimenting your body as you held a blue gift bag. you did your makeup natural, with just a hint of glitter eyeshadow that reflected off of the colorful lights in the bar. you saw your friends already taking shots. you walked up to them and greeted them, then seeing your best friend. “happy birthday pretty girl! this is for you.” you greeted her with a hug and a smile, handing her the present. “thank you so much! so happy you could come. ready to get a little tipsy?”
you looked at her with excitement. “you’re lucky its friday and i have no exams next week. lets get this party started!”
about an hour goes by, you had a shit tone of drinks. champagne, wine, tequilla, margaritas, mojitos, you name it. shots were being passed around your friends like they were candy. you were dancing with your friends, having the time of your life. until you saw someone a little familiar in the corner of your eye. straight blonde hair, blue eyes, tall, abs showing underneath of her white compression shirt. you decided to ignore it, thinking the alcohol was effecting you. you decided to order another drink, specifically a mimosa. when you got your drink from the bar tender, you turned around and saw her. fuck, you though. it was paige. she examined you up and down. by the way her eyes looked up close and she was unable to control her balance, you knew she was drunk.
she started speaking, her words slurring. “hey pretty girl, i’ve missed you.” she tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
the alcohol was controlling you at this point from how many drinks you’ve had. you gave her a slight smile as awkwardness and tension were mixing together. “hey paige, how’ve you been?” she started placing her hands on your core, then fingers tingling down to your hips, feeling ticklish from her fingerprints. you became drunk in her touch. “i’ve been good, can’t stop thinking about you lately.”
you started laughing out of no where. you placed her hands on her shoulders, pretending this was a slow dance. the alcohol was 100% in control by now. you both laughed after what you just did, thinking it was the dumbest shit ever. "how's basketball?"
"man.." she said, backing up. "my ankle's healed but it's never the same." you saw her holding a red solo cup, wondering what she was drinking. "can't wait for this season to be over, so i can be with you." paige decided to play with fire this evening, she started flirting with you less than 5 minutes of you both talking. "i know you can't stop thinking about me, it's written all over your face." she placed her hands on your back. you saw what she was doing, it was now time to beat her at her own game.
"for someone who's missed me so much you don't come to me anymore." you said as you took a sip from your mimosa. your voice sounded so confident, like you were sure she would say something back to you.
she smiled. "you'd distract me in the season, i would be so focused on you."
"since when is that a bad thing, bueckers?" you gave her a seductive look, eyes seeming innocent. she was on the edge, now you were waiting for her fall.
"never said it was, nerd." she smirked. she knew how good you were at school. how you were always studying, always organized and your gpa higher than she was most of the time.
her eyes started to linger down your body. your body temperature rising. her body started to get closer to you, immediately feeling her abs from her shirt. her ocean eyes immediately staring at your lips. she rested one hand on your waist and one hand on your back. paige was just a few inches taller than you, but the height difference spoke loudly in that moment. you grabbed her neck and immediately pulled her in, lips darted to her like something was hypnotizing you or something possessed you in that moment.
the kiss was deep, you tasted cherry from her mouth by the amount of dirty shirely's she had this evening. your lipgloss transferred over to her lips by how deep the kiss was. now feeling tongues as moans filled the air. your moans felt like music to her ears, it was the best thing she could even listen to. her body throbbed hearing your affection. you felt like you could go to heaven just from her kissing you while she was drunk. heads immediately turned to face both of you in the middle on an intimate moment. but you and paige didn't care who was watching. you both were receiving something you haven't gotten in a long time, touch. you hands went to the back of her dirty-blonde straight hair. her hands went up to your moisturized arms that had some shine to them, feeling your softness. it was so, seductive. she released from you. "you don't know how much i fucking missed this." she grabbed your waist and pulled you in for another kiss, this time much longer. you eventually parted her lips from yours to take a sip from your drink. paige grabbed your wrist and took you outside, immediately to her car. cold air lingered on your body as you had no jacket, but that feeling immediately went away when she opened the door and pushed you in the backseat, getting on top of you.
a small inner voice entered you head as you listened to it "oh, no. here we go again."
you ignored it. you stared at her above. "knew i had you wrapped around my finger, bueckers."

L0AD1NG . .
loud music, flashing lights and the voices of drunk people are what surrounded you at the moment, in principle, such an environment has long been commonplace for you, and perhaps someone feels uncomfortable being in such companies, but not you, because your brain already subconsciously felt as if you were really where you should be.
so, having dragged yourself to another party for the sake of free booze, you entered the mansion that you had already known for a long time, you met the owner of this house a long time ago, but it was only recently that you led such a riotous lifestyle by going to such events, after all, you are an ordinary student who spends hours studying and prays every day to think about something other than papers, textbooks and exams.
after another hard day at school, your legs instinctively carried you along the corridor, in search of the door from where this loud music was flowing, and finally the cherished gates opened, and dozens of drunken people appeared before your eyes, and grinning, you were anticipating how you yourself would soon find yourself in a similar state of nirvana, so finding an 'impromptu' bar which consisted of an ordinary table and a dozen bottles standing on it.
you approached the guy standing at the table, he smiled when he saw you, because it was clearly not the first time he had seen you, and you didn’t even have to say anything before his hands independently took the plastic red cup in his hands, pouring colored alcoholic liquid into it, holding it out with such a smile, "so, because of the booze here again?” he asked, picking up his cup and taking a few small sips, "you know, it's better to go to parties for the sake of drinking, and not in the hope that someone will fuck with you."
he playfully rolled his eyes, realizing that the hint was about him, "come on, I won't get anything tonight anyway, so let's just have a drink," you clink cups, and you drank all the contents in one gulp, causing him a pleasant surprise, "what are you, a professional alcoholic? I've never seen a girl who downs half a glass of liquor in one go." you playfully pushed him on the shoulder before grabbing the first bottle you came across, pouring the contents into your cup as you walked away from the table deeper into the dance floor.
still, drinking alcohol in one gulp is clearly not the best idea for you, because a few minutes after you left the bar, you felt your head pleasantly spinning, and as a result, you didn’t notice how you accidentally bumped into an unfamiliar pink-haired girl standing with her back to you.
you immediately began to apologize, saying that it happened by accident, but before you could finish half the sentence, you saw how she turns to face you, and behind her you can see another girl who puts her elbow on her shoulder, "baby, is everything okay?" asked the pink-haired girl, in whose voice there was absolutely no hint of anger, rather, on the contrary, her voice was so calm that it literally intoxicated, "hey, why don't we take care of such a beautiful girl? we see that you are alone here, so why not fix it?"
your evening sucked so much that hearing these words, you only enthusiastically said “yes, please", and upon hearing permission, you felt both girls’ arms wrap around your waist, helping you move away from the dance floor and up to the second floor of the house. the three of you walked along a corridor with a bunch of doors, while the dark-haired girl randomly opened all the doors that came to hand, someone was sleeping, someone was fucking, and she was quietly swearing under her breath, because they urgently needed this fucking spare room, which is finally there, and they both push you needily into it, closing the door from the inside.
in an instant, you found yourself sitting on uchinaga’s lap, while yu’s predatory hands explored your body, pressing her lips to your collarbone, you felt how she ran her fangs along the milky and tender skin, knocking out the first quiet moan from you, obviously not the last for this evening.
you feel the warmth of aeri's breath settling on your rosy face. your fidgets in place and shyly fiddles with the bottom of your black dress in your damp fingers, her gaze penetrates you to your core, making you involuntarily tense and bring trembling hips together. it starts to pulsate between your legs.
jimin finally exhales loudly. the heat mercilessly makes its way to your aching groin and she grabs your dress with her fingertips, exposing a strip of skin on your stomach, "look at her, so fuckin' pretty..." uchinaga only grunted in response, looking at you with interest, greedily licking her lips when her gaze fell on the bare skin of your stomach.
your arms suddenly weaken, as if a huge weight is falling on you, but jimin continues to lift your dress until you are left in just your underwear. your dress flies somewhere into the corner of the room, because now you definitely don’t need it, you feels with your skin how their eyes is crawling scrutinizingly and greedily over your trembling body, and it’s suddenly so exciting, so nervous, and you could swear that no one in your life looked at you like that, and you never felt so wanted in your life.
aeri's palms immediately find themselves on your hot cheeks, in whose eyes adoration and reverence are unmistakably discernible, "you are incredible, princess, so needy, good girl..."
jimin's palms slide over the delicate skin around the ribs and freeze under the seductive small roundness. you sucks in your stomach and sighs heavily, while your skin is covered with goosebumps from the feeling of the hot hands of both girls on your body.
uchinaga's eyes sparkle with anticipation when she inquisitively looks into your ruddy face, at the same instant, her palms carefully grasp your breasts, completely covering them, and with her thumbs she circle the wrinkled nipples, lips, at the same moment cover her sensitive nipple, pulling it deep into the mouth and rolling it between the teeth.
a long-awaited moan escaped your lips again, pressing your breasts into aeri’s face, at the same moment you felt how the lips of jimin, who was behind, left a trail of wet kisses and bites along your spine, while her hands were on your waist, holding you in her pink haired lap.
aeri impulsively squeezes the delicate skin with her fingers, and more demandingly closes her lips on the tense lump of flesh, you choke on a groan and nod desperately, squinting your eyelids and grabbing the girl’s shoulders with shaking palms, she naturally grins and impatiently places her hands on your ass, squeezing it slightly.
trembling all over and whimpering softly from sensitivity and painful sharp outbreaks from unexpected tingling sensations, you spread your legs wider and slowly lower yourself onto her exposed knee, pressing your wet crotch tightly against it and bending your lower back pliantly, "come on, sweetheart, move a little, like that... good girl."
you strains the internal muscles of your cunt, which rapidly contract, pushing out the lubricant more actively, from the girl’s approving tone and presses your groin harder into your in the hope of a long-awaited relief, you moan loudly and again sits heavily on top of the girl, responsively pushing towards her hot and demanding mouth.
aeri's breath is pounding heavily, a dull rhythm beating in her ears as she tries in vain to pull herself together, but you can only more persistently suck on your breasts and press your seductively swaying hips to yourself as tightly as possible.
you throw your head back and part your dry lips to let a quiet moan escape them, finally feeling the long-awaited climax, while yu's hands continued to hold your trembling body, helping you stay in one position, whispering in your ear in a quiet and hoarse voice about how well you did and how good you were.
her strong hands helped you get up from your knees, her strong hands helped you get up from aeri’s lap, carefully laying you on the bed, while uchinaga's hand reached into the pocket of her pants, taking out her phone from there, opening the camera app, placing it on the bedside table so that the three of you could be seen, "well, princess, let's make this night a little more fun?"
a shiver of anticipation runs down your back, and a hot wave settles between your thighs again, you whine pitifully and spread your legs further, allowing jimin's hand to slide under your underwear, she carefully pulls off her already soaked black panties from your rounded hips, she kisses the sunken belly, inhaling the faint aroma of your desire, as uchinaga positioned herself behind you, allowing you to rest your back on her, her hands slid to your breasts, squeezing them lightly, enjoying your languid sighs and needy whines.
you whine pitifully and pleadingly again, and jimin makes her way to the wet flesh, impatiently penetrating inside the delicate folds, teasing your clit with her tongue, squeezing your thighs in her hands, leaving red prints of her palms on them. your back arches when her skillful tongue touches you there, and mixed with the aeri's touches, who continued to play with your breasts, burning the tender skin of your collarbone with my breath. finally, yu’s tongue slid inside you, pushing so deeply that you couldn’t even imagine that someone could touch you there.
it only took you a few damn minutes before your back arched to the point of a crunch, and a loud moan escaped your lips, repeating the name of both girls like a mantra, pulling away from you, the black-haired girl greedily licks her lips, licking the remnants of your taste from them, which made you blush even more, "you're so delicious, it seems to me that I could eat you all the time and never get tired of it," these words made uchinaga giggle, moving his lips to your earlobe, "hey, jimin-nie, don't make our girl even more embarrassed."
just as you were about to relax, you felt the pink haired hand slide down your stomach, a slight shiver runs through her body, and she rubs the slippery spot harder with the pad of her thumb, you cry out quietly as she slowly slides into her, pushing deeper, all the way to the knuckles, you squeeze her finger with your muscles. aeri freezes with her whole body, feeling resistance, "shh, princess, relax, okay? you're doing so well..." she kisses your rosy cheek and circles her sensitive clit with her thumb.
you clearly wants to say something, but chokes on another moan and a sharp slurping thrust. now two long fingers confidently slide in you, jimin's hands held your thighs, not allowing you to close them, despite your desperate attempts to do so, "baby, everything is fine, yeah, just relax..."
after her shameless statement, you sob subtly, gently squeezing her fingers, and carefully kiss aeri on the lips, in response to which yu's lips gently kissed the back of your neck, "good girl... should we continue, huh?"
after these words you realized that the night is still damn long, and a wonderful company of two damn sexy girls and several hours of damn porn on aeri's phone awaits you...

☆ ┆ SHE'S A LADY AND I'M JUST A LINE WITHOUT A HOOK. ellie williams — ❝ you can hold my hand if no one's home. ❞
CHAPTER 1 : you're a pond & i'm an ocean. trying to excuse yourself from dating rumors you end up saying ellie's name when someone asks you who you like.
quick navigation .ᐟ series masterlist ⋆ next chapter
featuring. college!ellie x afab!reader content warning ! loser!ellie x popular!student, reader referred to as she, reader gets paired with a man but shows no interest towards him, ellie being reallyyy a loser, she's also awkward, onesided interest, maybe fluff if you squint and mention of ellie wearing glasses.
❀ omg?? im finally releasing the first chapter for she's a lady frfr? took me long enough but here it is, this first chapter it's pretty simple maybe blank but we're in for a ride. IT'S ALSO PRETTY SHORT BUT I WANTED IT TO BE KIND OF AN INTRODUCTION
It's Monday, the morning is crisp, the sky sharp blue against the red brick buildings of Jackson College, students move in waves, chatting, sipping overpriced coffees to go through the morning, scrolling through their phones. The air hums with conversations about upcoming exams, weekend parties and the latest and juiciest campus gossip. It's the same routine every day— familiar, predictable. Everything has a rhythm.
You move through it effortlessly with iced coffee in your right hand, people greet you left and right, some call your name, other offer just quick nods of acknowledgement if like acknowledging your presence is a necessity, you return them with small gestures, a nod, a polite smile, nothing too personal. Your reputation proceeds you, the one with the grades, the friends, the effortless charm. You're used to being watched but never closely enough for it to matter.
You see your friends waiting near the main hall, where the weekly academic rankings have just been posted and you don't even need to see it to know that your name it's at the top, as always, not that it's a surprise.
Hana, who's been your best friend since freshman year, says, “let's see,” scanning the list closely, “and yep— there she is, of course. God, you're a machine.”
“Or a vampire,” Daniel adds, squinting at you with an inquisitive look, “i swear you don't sleep.”
You roll your eyes, “i sleep.”
“When?”
You don't answer, instead you look at the list again, your gaze flickering over some names below yours, the same handful of students hover in the top five, the rest of the names blurry to you, you don't recognize almost anyone but one further down, really further down catches your attention.
Ellie Williams.
You don't recognize it. A name that stands out but not the right reasons, her ranking is unimpressive, hovering dangerously close to the failing threshold, maybe that's why it sticks out for you, it's uncommon to see names that low when you're used to scanning only the top.
Either way, the thought is fleeting. You move on quickly.
────────────────────────
You think the morning will go by just as it usually does, boring and monotone but it doesn't. You don't even make it to lunch before people are talking, casual whispers between classes, side glances as you walk past. At first you ignore it, you're used to people speculating about your life, attaching stories to you that don't exist.
“She'd be perfect with him.”
“They match, at least academically.”
“She's doesn't date though.”
“But maybe now—”
The looks and curious humming in the background makes you grip your tray harder, trying your best to stay calm and chill. But then you run into him, Aaron Carter. You barely know him beyond the fact that he's one of the few people who can somewhat compete with you academically. He's tall, well dressed, in a dozen clubs and with an air of effortless confidence that makes people gravitate towards him. So obviously people expect you to be interested in someone like him.
You don't dislike him necessarily, but you're also not interested.
“Hey,” Aaron says as he falls into step beside you, trying to match your walk.
You glance at him, “hey.”
He smiles, his perfect white teeth showing, “sooo, interesting rumor going around.”
You contain yourself from rolling your eyes, sighing internally, “let me guess.”
He chuckles, “yeah, apparently we're dating now.”
You scoff, “we're not.”
“I figured,” he tucks his hands into his pockets, “but you know… it wouldn't be the worst thing,” he shrugs.
You stop walking, freezing, “excuse me?”
Aaron smirks like he knows exactly what he's doing, “relax. I'm just saying, people seem to think we'd make a good match. And honestly? they might have a point,” he shrugs.
You furrow your brows, “are you trying to flirt with me?”
“Maybe.”
You sigh, rolling your eyes for real this time, “unbelievable.”
“Hey, can't blame a guy for trying,” he says, amused, “but if you ever change your mind…”
“I won't.”
He grins, “noted.”
With that he walks off, leaving you more annoyed than before. By the time you reach your usual lunch spot your irritation must be obvious because Hana immediately raises an eyebrow.
“What happened?” she asks, leaning against the table with obvious interest.
“Aaron,” you say flatly.
Hana groans, “oh, God, don't tell me he believes the rumors.”
You stab at your salad, frustrated, “he suggested they might be a good idea.”
Daniel bursts out laughing, holding his stomach, “holy shit.”
Hana smirks, “did you crush his hopes and dreams?”
“As quickly as possible.”
Mia tilts her head, examining your expression, “he's smart, popular, good-looking. It makes sense, to be honest,” she nudges your arm, “not gonna lie, you'd be kind of a power couple.”
Daniel snickers, “you two probably have matching grade point averages. Academic royalty, a match made in GPA heaven.”
You groan, rubbing your temple as if you were trying to keep your cool, “i don't like him.”
“Then who do you like?” Mia asks, raising a brow.
The problem is you don't like anyone. Not in the way they expect, romance has never been a priority and you've never felt the pull that seems to drive everyone else. These comments are meant to be casual, just part of the teasing, of the typical campus gossip. But you know them, you know how this works, if you don't shut this down now, the rumor will only get worse, and by next week, half the campus will be convinced you and Aaron are planning a future together with two babies.
So you do what any rational person would do, you blurt out the first name that comes to mind.
“Ellie Williams.”
Silence.
You can feel them staring. Hana blinks. Daniel looks confused. Even Mia, for all her nosiness, seems momentarily thrown.
“... Who?”
Fuck.
You clear your throat, “Ellie Williams,” you repeat, like that somehow makes it better, “she's in our year.”
Mia stares at you like you've just announced you're dropping out of college to become a circus performer, “Ellie Williams,” she repeats slowly, as if testing the words on her tongue. You keep your expression neutral, but inside, you're already regretting your life choices.
Hana leans in closer, intrigued, “wait, how come you never mentioned her before?”
“Because it's none of your business,” you answer smoothly, picking at your salad like this conversation is beneath you.
Daniel, still looking baffled, scrolls through his phone, “i'm literally searching her up right now, i don't even know what she looks like,” panic flares in your chest, if he looks up her grades— he suddenly snaps his fingers, “oh! i think i know her. Quiet, kind of awkward? sits at the back in most lectures?”
Hana hums in thought, “the one with messy notes and the guitar case sometimes?” she stays quiet for a moment, “wait, is she the girl who nearly set the chem lab on fire last semester?”
You nearly choke on your drink. Great.
Mia nods, clearly enjoying this, “yeah, i remember that. Apparently she mixed up two compounds because she forgot her glasses.”
Daniel squints at you, “no offense, but… since when is that your type?”
You resist the urge to bury your face in your hands, “i don't have a type.”
Mia grins like a shark sensing blood, “oh, you do now.”
“Wait. That's actually kinda cute,” your best friend smirks, “i never thought you liked shy girls.”
You sigh, “can we please change the subject?”
Mia nudges your arm, “tell us more. Have you guys talked before? how'd you meet?”
You glance at the time on your phone, “would you look at that? class is in ten minutes. Gotta go,” you stand up, without even finishing your salad, grabbing your bag.
Daniel rolls his eyes, “that was the weakest escape attempt ever.”
You don't care. You just hope that Ellie Williams never hears about this.
But she does.
Ellie has had a crush on your months, not that she'd ever planned on doing anything about it. You exist in a world she doesn't belong to— too put-together, too untouchable, always surrounded by people who seem effortlessly in sync with you. Ellie, in contrast, struggles to remember her assignments, barely scrapes by on tests since she just draws stars in her notes, she owns exactly one backpack that she never closes properly and has exactly one friend (Jesse, who is much better at life than she is).
She likes watching you though, not in a creepy way. Just in the way someone watches a shooting star— distant, beautiful, something she'd never reach.
But today. Today you say her name.
Ellie is passing through the dining hall to go outside, too tired to deal with packed tables and loud conversations, when she hears it. Her name. In your voice. She stops. At first she thinks she's misheard. But then she sees your table— the reactions, the wide eyes, the disbelief. And it clicks, you just told everyone you like her. Her. Her eyes widen like a deer caught in headlights.
Ellie nearly drops her tray. She's not sure how she's gonna make it through the day without spontaneously combusting. When she reaches her usual table outside the cafeteria she can still hear your voice. She must be hallucinating. Maybe she fell asleep in class and this is just some fever dream but no. Jesse is sitting across from her, watching her with mild concern as she continues to stare blankly at her ham and cheese sandwich.
“Dude,” he finally says, “you look like you just saw a ghost.”
Ellie slowly turns to him, her brain still short circuiting, “i think she likes me.”
Jesse raises an eyebrow, “who?”
Ellie swallows, “her.”
He frowns, “you're gonna have to be a little more specific, man.”
The freckled girl runs a hand through her hair, exhaling, “Her. You know. Smart. Popular. Untouchable.”
It takes Jesse approximately three second to put it together. His eyes widen, “no way," Ellie nods and Jesse leans back, looking thoroughly amused, “okay, explain.”
So Ellie does. She tells him about overhearing your confession, about how your friends reacted, how it didn't seem like a joke— at least, not from what she could tell. The guy listens, nodding along. When she finishes, he lets out a low whistle, “damn. Didn't see that coming.”
“Yeah,” Ellie mutters, rubbing her temple.
Jesse watches her for a moment before grinning, “so… what's the problem? this is, like, your dream scenario.”
“No, it's not…” she groans, “i was fine just admiring her from a distance. What the hell am i supposed to do now?”
He shrugs, “go talk to her.”
Ellie stares at him, “what?"
"You like her, right?"
She hesitates, "yeah."
"And she just said she likes you?"
"Yeah, but—"
"So go talk to her."
Ellie crosses her arms and furrows her brows, "that’s the worst advice I’ve ever heard."
He snorts, "what, you want me to tell you to ignore it and hope it goes away?"
Ellie groans again, slumping in her seat, "i don’t know, man. She’s, like... way out of my league. I barely pass my classes. She’s literally the smartest person on campus."
Jesse rolls his eyes, “okay, first of all? shut up. Second, you wont know if she’s actually into you unless you ask. What’s the worst that could happen?"
Ellie considers, "public humiliation?"
Jesse waves a hand casually, "happens to the best of us. You’ll survive."
She glares, "you’re the worst."
A grin, "nah. I’m the best. Now, go talk to your girlfriend."
Ellie groans one more time for good measure, and, against all better judgment, she heads off to find you after the classes end.
────────────────────────
You try not to think about it after lunch, hoping this whole situation would just be a day or maybe two, so you go about your day hoping to find some peace but when you're leaving the library, in the afternoon someone calls your name quietly when you're passing by the entrance.
Ellie is standing there, clearly waiting for you. You recognize her instantly— not only because of the photo on the board but because there's something about her that makes her stand out in a quiet way. A few freckles dusting her nose, auburn hair tied back messily, hands stuffed into the pockets of her hoodie, the way she won't quite meet your gaze. She looks… different, like something you're not used to, like she doesn't belong in the whirlwind of polished, high achieving students you surrounded yourself with Her posture is tense, shoulders slightly hunched, like she's half expecting you to tell her to get lost and yet, here she is.
“... Hi,” Ellie says. Her voice is lower than you expected, a little rough, a little nervous.
You raise an eyebrow, “hi.”
Ellie exhales sharply, like she's bracing herself, “uh, so—” she clears her throat, shifts on her feet, “i heard what you said at lunch.”
Your stomach tightens. Of course she did, you should've expected that. Still, hearing her say it out loud makes it feel… real. You tilt your head slightly, keeping your expression neutral, “oh.
The girl in front of you nods, she looks like she's about to pass out, “yeah and, uhm, i just—” she exhales, then forces the words out in one breath, “i like you too.”
Silence. For a second all you can do is stare at her. Something in her expression makes your stomach twist into knots, there's sincerity there but also uncertainty, like she doesn't quite believe the words coming out of her own mouth. She looks like she really means she likes you. Ellie looks alone, not in the obvious way, but in the way people look when they're used to being overlooked. And that makes you feel worse, the idea of rejecting her outright feels… wrong.
You tilt your head as you cross your arms and sigh, “look, Ellie…” she tenses like she's preparing for the worst, you choose your words carefully, “i'm not really into dating right now.”
Ellie blinks, “oh," it's quiet for a moment, you expect her to shrink back, maybe make some awkward excuse and leave, instead she just shifts her weight, scratching the back of her neck, “... that makes sense.”
Your eyes widen a bit, you watch her, “it does?”
“Yeah,” she mutters, “i mean— you're busy, and uh, probably have better options.”
Your brows furrow slightly once again, “that's not what i said.”
Ellie shrugs, but it's too casual, too practiced, “i know, just saying.”
You study her for a moment. She's defensive, not because she's mad, more like she expected rejection from the start and is just trying to act like it doesn't bother her and for someone reason that bothers you.
You sigh, “i wasn't lying, you know," Ellie finally meets your eyes directly, you hold her gaze, firm but not unkind, “i really don't wanna date anyone right now, i have a lot going on, it's not about you,” she nods but she looks she doesn't totally believe you. And that's it supposedly, you should walk away, that would be the smart thing to do but instead you pause and then add, “but… we could still talk.”
Ellie blinks, confused, surprised, “talk?”
You shrug, glancing away, “if you want. You don't seem like you have a lot of people to talk to.”
Ellie snorts, “wow. Thanks.”
A smirk tugging at the corner of your lips, “am i wrong?”
She hesitates, “... no.”
You nod satisfied, “then it's settled," Ellie frowns slightly, like she doesn't quite understand how she got here but she doesn't argue and you take that as a win, “See you around, Williams,” you say before turning to leave and she watches you go, and despite everything, smiles to herself.
For some reason Ellie intrigues you, she's different. Not in the obvious i'm trying too hard be unique way but in the doesn't seem to care about fitting in way. She seems real, and maybe that's refreshing.

candy grams. g.w. x reader pt 2

my masterlist
music choice; dandelions by ruth b
word count: 2.4 k
pt 1
synopsis;
you've been in love with george for almost as long as you've known him.
that makes 6 years. and for the last 5, you've been in love with him.
valentines' day is around the corner. and you think it's a great idea to send him a candy gram anonymously.
a/n gang im so sorry this took so long i have so many IAs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
‘fuck, fuck, fuck’ you’re whispering as you run up the stairs, back to the common room. you barge into hermione’s room, glad to see that she’s already lying on her bed.
she rises to see who it is, and immediately drops her book as you stumble towards her.
“what- what’s wrong?” she asks you, worry etched into her face.
it’s only then you’re vaguely aware of the tears on your face, and you can taste the salt on your lips.
you flop down face first on her bed, and scream into it.
you aren’t too sure what you’re going to do now, especially after this moment.
once you’re able to control yourself, and after hermione manages to roll you over so that you’re staring up at the ceiling, do you sigh and begin to tell her everything.
hermione sits there and listens, giving you the support that you weren’t aware that you needed so badly. she listens attentively, nodding every so often as to let you know that she’s still listening, despite her silence.
once you’ve finished recounting, you hang your head, hodling your hands to your face.
“why didn’t you just tell him?” you hear her ask you, and when you look at her, she’s staring back at you intensely, and you can’t tell why you feel slightly embarrassed.
“i can’t. I can’t face that rejection. I’ve been friends with him so long, i don’t know how i would deal with that.” you respond, voice hoarse.
she hums.
“you don’t know his answer.” she finally says, after a moment of silence, before she scoots closer to you, your shoulders touching, before you lay your head on her shoulder.
“i do. if it was going to work out in my favour he wouldn’t have waited so long to bring it up to me. or do everything that he did.” you try to explain lamely.
“you don’t know that. George isn’t a very confrontational person by nature. the only times he ever gets back at someone for something they did is when they’ve done it to other people, not him. he’s a prankster by nature, but he’s not all that outgoing.” she points out.
you don’t really notice that you’ve shaken your head until you hear her sigh.
“look, y/n.” she begins, and you know you’re not going to enjoy this, “i think you should have told him. i’ve said this from the beginning. your feelings are probably reciprocated. you haven’t seen the way he looks at you like everyone else has.”
you don’t realise you even huffed when she cuts you off before you even speak; adding on that, “no seriously, remember when harry was needing your help during their end of year exams? and how he kept sticking to your side? George was in a huff for the entire exam period, constantly glaring daggers at harry.”
you sigh, shaking your head again. “he was probably just annoyed of seeing harry all the time, and plus, wasn’t that when harry and ron were arguing again?” you try to explain.
you let out a little laugh, before saying; “i mean, i’d love to think that he cared for me the same way i care for him, but realistically, i don’t think that’s possible. plus, isn’t he super into angelina bell?”
“what’s the worst that would happen if he found out that you liked him?” she tries.
“uhhh, he hates me and never talks to mee again because he feels disgusted??” you respond, trying to seem lighthearted, but the mere thought of it is painful.
hermione stares at you, a frown on her face before she shakes her head. (there’s a lot of head shaking going on.) she realises that she won’t win against your self delusion and negativity, so she just tries to make you feel better instead.
the next few days are hard to get through.
you try your darned best to avoid the crap out of george, and it’s effective enough that even oblivious little harry is able to tell.
it starts off with you darting into a different hall, or empty classroom you see george in the halls.
you switched seats, so you were sitting with katie instead, as soon as classes that you had with george ended, you ducked out, running to your next one, often forgetting your friends behind as well.
avoiding him in the dining hall was a bit harder. you had to wake up a bit earlier in the mornings so you could get food, and everytime you saw him coming in, you’d have to shove what was left on your plate into your mouth, and then get running.
finally, on a sunday morning, fred corners you in the common room, when you’ve just come up from breakfast. luckily, (or unluckily, as you still feel a pang of sadness when you realise you haven’t seen george in forever) george isn’t with him, so you have a peace of mind. (YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF YOU LOOK LIKE A SAD LITTLE PUPPY)
“what’s wrong with you.” fred merely states, rather than asking you a question.
“i don’t know what you mean.” you respond, monotonous, and avoiding eye contact, as he looks so much like george you still hurt inside, but he and fred are still so different.
“you’ve been moping like a kicked puppy, and you’ve been avoiding george, so you’re both just moping, and he looks like he wants to end himself.” fred responds, eyes narrowing.
you sigh, before simply stating, “i can’t deal with my feelings, and he confronted me and i can’t deal with it.”
freds eyes somehow manage to narrow further, looking at you suspiciously. “everyone knows you’re in love with each other.”
“we aren’t. at least i am and he isn’t.” you respond simply, sighing as you close your eyes and rub them with your hand.
fred pulls your hand away from your face, and peers into your eyes, not letting go of your hand, he takes it and uses it to lightly slap yourself.
“are. you . dumb.?” he enunciates with each slap. it’s not painful, but its enough for you to fight back against him.
“what, fred.” you manage to snap out.
“he wants you so bad.” fred tells you.
“no he doesn’t”
“yes he does.”
“no he doesn’t”
“yes he does”
“no-”
“oh my gosh i am not doing this with you. he wants you, he’s in love with you, and he’s totally going to kill me for telling you this but i cannot stand this anymore.”
“what?” you ask, a little worried, which is kind of an understatement, as your heart is literally pounding in your chest.
“he is sooooo down bad for you.” fred says, shaking you by your shoulders.
“no.” you respond simply. you want to believe it, you do, but it doesn’t really make any sense.
“what-? …yes he is. i would not be telling you this if i was not the one who had listened to him complain for the entire two months every summer about how much he missed your ass.” fred asserts, continuing to shake you. you’re getting dizzy, so you have to step out of his grip.
“he what?” is your oh so genius response, as you struggle to maintain your composure, dizzy from being shaken and this revelation.
“he wants to kiss you and date you and profess his stupid undying love for his best friend who likes him back but you are dumb and keep trying to run away from him?” fred’s peering at you intensely, before he sighs. “i think it’s better if you hear this from him, so would you please do all of us a favour and just stop running? he’ll probably be on the quidditch pitch now so please please please go talk to him. he’s been working to the bone on the pitch because of you.”
you can’t even give fred a response, your brain is running a mile a minute.
you don’t process that your feet are even moving until you’re out of the castle until the cold hits you. you keep going anyway, until you see a little red blob in the distance, above the quidditch pitch.
as you make your way to the quidditch pitch you’re able to see that the little blob that was just a speck of red in the distance is slowly descending, until you realise its just george.
you break into a run, and as you’re getting close you can see the confusion on his face just before you collide into him, hugging him tight.
“what’s wrong?” he asks, the worried is etched onto his face. he processes that you’re not wearing a jumper, and you’re just in a thin top and jeans. “aren’t you cold? why aren’t you wearing a jumper?” he demands of you as he tries to warm you up, his warm hands rubbing up and down your arms.
“i’m sorry,” comes tumbling out your mouth, as you pull back from the hug. there’s a loss of warmth, and only then you shiver.
the lines of worry on his face smooth out, and he lets out a little sigh. “it’s alright, but please please don’t do that again, it was really horrible.”
you shake your head, your apology seems insignificant. it doesn’t seem like enough.
“i’m really sorry.” you repeat.
“it’s okay.” he asserts, and he picks his broom off the floor as he pulls you close.
“let’s go back in. you must be freezing.” he just says, and the walk back to the castle is mainly quiet. but it’s a good quiet, because you’re happy enough just to spend time with him. you realise you should probably bring up the candy gram incident, but you just don’t know what to do.
it’s as he leaves your side for a moment to set his broom back in the broom cupboard, when you finally muster up the courage. you’re watching him as he sets his broom down gently before you blurt it out.
“about the candy gram-” you start, before he interrupts.
“it’s okay. it was a joke i get it.” he says, as you watch him from the door frame of the cupboard. he’s deliberately avoiding making eye contact, but you need to get over this now or else you never will and fred will also probably commit murder if he was being honest.
“it wasn’t.” you manage to squeak out.
he spins around, and he’s completely silent, as if he wants you to keep on talking, or to explain yourself, or to burst out laughing that you’re just joking again.
“it wasn’t a joke.” there. you said it.
“it was never a joke. I couldn’t say it outright, so i was looking for a way that was less obvious, and when professor Mcgonagall came up with the idea, it seemed like a good idea to get my feelings out and finally get a break. i just didn’t think you’d realise who it was.” you finish, before you finally look up from where you were staring at the ground.
you didn’t hear him come closer to you as you were too stressed out, but now he’s standing close, too close. close enough that if you just leaned forward by a bit, you could touch him.
you look up at him, and the way he’s looking at you has you breathless.
“of course i realised it was you. I know what your handwriting looks like. i’ve sat next to you for years, and we’ve traded so many notes that i’ve saved over the years that i could copy your handwriting without even looking at it. i notice everything you do, even the things you don’t notice you do. you mean the world to me, far beyond what a best friend would be. i want to be more, and it’s something i’ve craved for so long.”
if you thought you were breathless before, you are definitely breathless now. you look at him, searching, searching his face for something that could just show how much he actually means it, or something that’d give it away that he’s not being serious. but you can’t find anything because he’s so earnest.
you know you need to say something, but you’re just searching for something perfect to say in response to the absolute poetry that he’s just sprouted, but the only thing that falls from your parted lips is a squeaked “really?”. it’s embarrassing, so you flush.
he laughs at that, and pulls you in by the loops of your jeans, so that you’re pressed up against him. he leans in close to you, his lips a fraction from yours. you can feel his hot breath fan over your cheek and you shiver, because its a stark contrast to the cold dreich weather outside.
he’s emanating warmth, and everything you’ve ever wanted. he finally leans in and… kisses your forehead, before he’s stepping away.
you’re left standing there confused and annoyed, before he sees the disappointment on your face before he laughs, pulling you in again, and giving you what he knows you both want.
it’s a kiss that’s hard and soft, and he lulls you into some sort of rhythm that’s just addicting, and you sigh happily into his mouth, and you can feel the way he smiles against you.
“you’re not funny.” you mutter, when he finally pulls away.
“i’m hilarious.” he laughs and you can’t stop fight against the smile that’s breaking out across your face, before he kisses it again.
“you wish.” you manage to get out, when he’s done.
“you love me.” he teases, and you don’t respond to it, which makes him smile even harder. you’re walking off without him, trying so hard to not start laughing out of giddiness. he stands there with a smile so big that he knows you can’t see, before he runs up to catch up with you.
he pulls you in close as he walks you back to the castle together, his hands clasped with yours naturally, and you think to yourself that you have a lot of lost time to catch up on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
later on, you’re tucked into george’s side in the common room as you warm up near the fire. his arm’s around your shoulder, and when fred comes in through the portrait, and his eyes land on the two of you together, you’re able to hear a sigh of relief coming from him.
“it’s about time. i was going to go insane from all the negative tension. why did it take so long?” fred complains, falling into the couch across from you. you both look at each other, and without a response, you both look at him with a smile.
he shudders, “oh god you’re already gross.”

Barty Crouch Jr x Hufflepuff!reader
Summary: After the birthday of your dear friend, Pandora Rosier, Barty doesn´t seem as bad as he did before
Note: I took one of the request of reader "tutoring" barty not knowing he doesn´t need it by @treefairy-28 thank youuuu. And english is not my first language so it probably has some mistakes! And i will do a part 2 to where things get really interesting
Words: 3,2K
You’d always hated Barty Crouch Junior. Everything about him grated on your nerves—the way he spoke too loudly in class, yet still managed to top every exam; the infuriating pet names he used for you; his smug belief that being a Slytherin somehow made him superior, especially to Hufflepuffs like you. His walk, his talk—everything about him seemed designed to annoy you. Luckily, you’d always managed to ignore him. Until now.
You’d recently been paired with Pandora Rosier for a Potions project, and to your surprise, you’d quickly grown close. How had you not been friends before? She was sweet, caring, and easy to talk to—similar to you in so many ways. When her birthday rolled around, she invited you to a small celebration at the Three Broomsticks with her twin, Evan, and a few of his friends. Including him. You’d thought long and hard about it, knowing you’d have to deal with Barty, but in the end, you decided to go. After all, it was for Pandora, and you could always try to ignore him.
The Three Broomsticks was packed, busier than you’d expected. It seemed half of Hogwarts was out celebrating. Just as you were scanning the room, you heard Pandora’s cheerful voice calling your name.
“Happy Birthday!” you said warmly, pulling her into a hug and handing her a small box containing a silver necklace.
Pandora’s eyes lit up as she opened it. “Oh, I love this! Thank you so much,” she beamed, hugging you again. “Come on, we’re over here.”
She led you through the crowded room toward a cozy corner table. And, of course, as you approached, you saw Evan Rosier, Regulus Black and Barty leaning back in his chair, already watching you with that familiar smirk.
“Hi” you mumbled a bit shyly to the slytherin as you sat next to Pandora, and to your luck, Barty was seated right in front of you. Regulus and Evan gave you a slight nod of acknowledgment and continue their conversation.
“Look who decided to join us” Barty teased raising his eyebrows “Dindt think you would show up, Treasure”
“Barty” Pandora said with a warning tone to his friend, trying to shut him up. But he only raised his hands in self innocence and exuse himself with a poor “just trying to start a conversation”
“I wouldn’t miss Dora´s birthday just because I have to deal with you, Junior” you said with a fake sweet smile to him.
“Deal with me? You wound me Badger” he said and you rolled your eyes at the nickname.
“If its any consolation, im actually impressed that your ego managed to fit through the door” is the last thing you say before turning to talk to Pandora and ignore him.
You and your blonde friend talk for some time, she telling you about how her birthday has been and all the presents she got. At some point you start to get thirsty.
“Im gonna ask for something to drink, ill be right back” you say kindly as you stand up from the chair.
“I’ll go with you” you hear Barty says as he stands up as well.
“Great” you whisper under your breath as you start to make your way to the bar, him following behind you.
You ordered a butterbeer, and Barty, naturally, ordered the same, positioning himself so close that his shoulder brushed against yours. The warm, subtle contact sent an unexpected flutter through you, though you tried to ignore it.
“I must admit,” he began, leaning down just enough to speak directly into your ear, “when Evan told us Dora would invite you, my expectations for tonight went up higher.”
“Good for you,” you muttered, turning to face him with an eye roll, only to find his face so close that you could feel his breath on your cheek. You quickly turned your gaze forward again, pretending to study the bottles lined up behind the bar. He chuckled, catching the slight blush that had crept up your cheeks “When Dora mentioned you were coming, I almost declined her invitation” you continued, doing your best to sound unfazed
“If you say so. But, can I just say, you show up here looking like this, put me in my place with that sweet, sassy voice of yours… you’re killing me here.”
Despite yourself, you feel warmth creeping up your cheeks. Thankfully, the bartender hands you both your drinks before you have to answer. You turn to make your way back to the table, but Barty steps in front of you, forcing you to stop short as he smirks down at you, close enough that you catch the faintest spark in his gaze.
“You know, I think you secretly like driving me a little mad,” he murmurs, amusement flickering in his eyes. “It’s cute, really—seeing you pretend to be so above it all.”
“Pretend?” you scoff, raising an eyebrow as you try to sidestep him. “Trust me, Junior, I’m not pretending anything.”
“Oh, really?” he asks, following you smoothly, keeping pace as you try to dodge around him. “Then explain why you look so flustered.”
“I’m not—” You stop, realizing he’s caught you, the faint blush on your cheeks betraying you. You try to shrug it off, holding your head high. “In your dreams, Junior”
He grins, leaning in close enough that his voice is a murmur just for you. “Oh, Treasure. In my dreams we are doing more than talking. Belive me”
You huffed, finally brushing past him and making your way back to the table. “Idiot,” you muttered, though you couldn’t ignore the faint thrill left in the air.
Sliding back into your seat next to Pandora, you tried to steady yourself as she happily dove back into conversation, thankfully distracting you from the lingering heat in your cheeks and Barty’s lingering gaze across the table.
As the night wore on, you and the slytherins stepped out of the warm, bustling atmosphere of the Three Broomsticks into the chilly night air. The sharp bite of winter nipped at your skin, making you shiver as you wrapped your arms around yourself in a futile attempt to keep warm. You hadn’t brought a jacket and now you were regretting it.
Pandora was chatting animatedly with Evan and Regulus, blissfully unaware of your growing discomfort. Barty walked alongside you, his familiar smirk already playing on his lips. You knew he was about to make a comment, and you braced yourself.
Without warning, Barty slipped off his leather jacket and draped it over your shoulders, pulling it tightly around you before you had the chance to protest. “Here, wear this,” he said, his voice low and smooth, ignoring your startled expression. “You look like you’re about to freeze to death.”
You blinked at him, flustered. “You don´t have to-” you start but he cuts you off.
“Please, like I’d let you suffer while I stand here all warm and toasty.” He chuckled. “You show up looking all stunning, and I won’t let you ruin it by turning into an icicle.”
Your cheeks flushed at the unexpected gesture, the warmth of his jacket enveloping you like a shield. You tried to regain your composure, shivering slightly as you adjusted the jacket to fit more snugly. “Thanks, but I don’t need your charity, Junior.” You weren´t willing to give up that easily.
“Oh, is that what you’re calling it? Charity?” he teased, falling into step beside you again, his grin infuriatingly charming. “I thought it was more of a gentlemanly move, if you will.”
“Gentlemanly? You?” You scoffed, shaking your head in disbelief. “You must be joking.”
“Why so skeptical? I can be quite the gentleman when the mood strikes me,” he said, leaning in closer again, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Besides, I can’t have my favorite Hufflepuff catching a cold now, can I?”
You felt a rush of warmth flood your cheeks at his words, and you tried to deflect, “You’re just doing this to annoy me, aren’t you?”
“Maybe,” he replied, a cheeky glint in his eyes. “But I also happen to enjoy the view when you’re flustered. You should see your face right now. It’s adorable.”
“Adorable?” You repeated incredulously, fighting the urge to smile. “You really think you’re charming, don’t you?”
He leaned back slightly, feigning deep thought. “Well, I wouldn’t say charming. More like irresistible.”
You shook your head, biting back a smile as you shot him a glare. “Keep dreaming, Junior.”
“Trust me, I will,” he shot back with that devil-may-care grin.
Pandora turned to you both, her eyes sparkling with delight. “Oh my gosh, you two are so cute! You’re practically flirting!” she gushed, completely unaware of your desire to bury your face in your hands.
“Flirting?” you exclaimed, turning to Barty in disbelief. “This isn’t flirting; it’s sheer torture!”
Barty chuckled, his gaze locked on yours, mischief dancing in his eyes. “Torture? Maybe I’ll have to keep it up then. Can’t have you getting too comfortable, can we?”
As you walked back to Hogwarts, you could feel the weight of his jacket around your shoulders, and though you’d never admit it, the warmth was more than just physical. Despite the banter and the bickering, you couldn’t shake the flutter in your stomach. Barty Crouch Junior might drive you mad, but maybe—just maybe—there was something nice about having him around after all.
You arrive to Hogwarts and everyone makes their way to their common room, the boys to Slytherin´s, Pandora to Ravenclaw´s and you to Hufflepuff´s. You get into your dorm quietly, because even if it was a Friday night, your roomates were sleeping.
As you began to undress, you suddenly realized you still had Barty’s jacket draped over your shoulders. Great, you thought with an eye roll. Now I have to see him again. You sighed, folding it neatly and placing it in your wardrobe alongside your other clothes.
After a quick trip to the bathroom to wash off your makeup and change into your pajamas, you settled into bed. The comfort of your blankets enveloped you, but no matter how hard you tried to shake it off, the memory of Barty's teasing grin lingered in your mind.
You hated that the last thought before sleep was that goddamn smirk of his—so infuriating yet somehow captivating. With a frustrated huff, you turned over, determined to banish thoughts of him, but the image of his charming arrogance persisted, a playful reminder of the night’s events.
You woke up the next day, the soft sunlight filtering through the windows of your dormitory. The quiet of the weekend morning was a welcome contrast to the usual hustle and bustle of school life. You moved through your routine slowly, knowing you had no classes to rush to today. After freshing up, you dressed casually and made your way to the Great Hall for breakfast. You decided to take Barty´s jacket with you, so you could return it as soon as possible.
And thanks to Merlin, when you enter the Great Hall you immediately spotted him at the Slytherin table with his friends. You wave at your own friends and make them a signal to wait for you as you approached the green table, your friends staring at you like you had gone crazy.
“Junior” you call out softly from behind him.
Barty´s head whipped around, his grin widening when he saw you “Treasure!” his voice was full of amusement as he looked you up and down “Miss me alredy?”
You rolled your eyes and extended his jacket over him “Im here to return this, and to say thank you again” even if he was insufferable, you were always polite.
He raised an eyebrow, clearly pleased by your words, as he took the jacket from you “You know, I was hoping you would keep it for longer. You did look amazing in it. Not that I didn’t like you in your top, of course”
You felt the heat increasing in your cheeks at his words but try to hide it with a scoff, your hands instinctively moving to fold your arms across your chest. “Whatever” you muttered, stepping back and already starting to turn away “Goodbye”
Some days later you were sitting with your friends in the courtyard, laughing as you discussed the latest mishap in Potions class, when you noticed a familiar figure making his way toward you. Barty Crouch Jr, in all his swagger, had that unmistakable smirk as he approached your small circle, his eyes already fixed on you.
"Treasure," he greeted smoothly, nodding to your friends before focusing entirely on you. "Got a minute?"
You raised an eyebrow, a bit taken aback that he’d be seeking you out in broad daylight, in front of witnesses no less. “Depends. What do you want, Junior?”
He chuckled, unfazed by your tone. "Pandora said you’re somewhat of an expert in Magical Creatures. Thought maybe you could help a struggling Slytherin with a few... basics.”
Your friends exchanged glances, one of them biting back a smile as they elbowed each other. You tried to ignore it, focusing on Barty. “Struggling?” you echoed, skeptical. “You’re one of the top students. Why do you need my help?”
He shrugged, managing to look both innocent and mischievous. “Call it an off week. I could use some extra guidance.”
One of your friends couldn’t resist chiming in, “Are you sure you don’t just want to copy her notes, Barty?”
“Oh, I’d love to copy,” he said, giving you a pointed look, “but I think I’d learn more if we… studied together. Say, this afternoon?”
“Fine,” you said, ignoring the snickers from your friends. “The library at six?”
“Or my room?” he suggested, not missing a beat. “Much quieter. Comfier too.”
You rolled your eyes, even as your friends burst into laughter. “Nice try. The library will do just fine.”
He placed a hand over his heart, feigning disappointment. “Heartbreaking, really. I was hoping for a more… private lesson.”
“Guess you’ll just have to settle for learning in public,” you replied, a smile tugging at the corner of your mouth. “See you at six, Junior.”
“Wouldn’t miss it,” he said, his smirk widening.
With that, he turned and sauntered off, leaving your friends barely containing their laughter.
“Oh, Merlin,” one of them said as soon as he was out of earshot, “did Barty Crouch Jr. just ask you for a tutoring session?”
You sighed, trying not to show the flutter of nerves in your stomach. “Apparently. And he’d better actually need help with Magical Creatures.”
But even as you turned back to your conversation, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this “study session” was going to be anything but ordinary.
That evening, you made your way to the library with a stack of notes on magical creatures and a determination to focus—no matter how distracting your “student” might try to be. When you arrived, you saw Barty lounging at a back table, idly flipping through a book that looked suspiciously unrelated to magical creatures.
“Good, you’re here,” he said with a grin as you sat down. “I was starting to think you’d stand me up.”
You rolled your eyes as you sat in front of him “Almost did” you mumble under your breath as you opened your book and notes. The library was quiet as you huddled over a hefty tome on magical creatures, quills and parchment spread across the table between you. It seemed like he was genuinely focused—or at least, he pretended to be.
“Alright, Junior” you said, pointing to a section in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, “why don’t you tell me everything you know about hippogriffs?”
He gave you a thoughtful look, scratching his chin as if deep in concentration. “Hmm… majestic creatures, proud, can be very dangerous if approached incorrectly… does that sound right?”
You tilted your head, eyeing him suspiciously. “So you do know about them, after all. That’s a decent start.”
“Well, I have the basics,” he said with a little grin, “but I wouldn’t call myself an expert. That’s where you come in, Treasure.”
You rolled your eyes but smiled anyway, nudging the book closer to him. “Alright, fine. Hippogriffs are proud, but there’s more to them than that. They’re highly sensitive and require respect—bowing to them before approaching is essential.”
He nodded, trying to keep a straight face, though you could tell he was amused. “Bowing. Got it. Sort of like dealing with you, isn’t it? Respect, admiration…”
You huffed, fighting the warmth creeping into your cheeks. “Keep it up, and I’ll leave you to fend for yourself next time we have a test.”
“Anything but that,” he said, raising his hands in mock surrender, though his grin didn’t fade. “You’re far too charming when you’re lecturing me on magical creatures.”
You ignored him and went over a few more creatures, each time finding him surprisingly attentive. He asked questions—good ones, actually—and seemed engaged in a way you hadn’t expected. You started to think maybe he genuinely did want to learn more about the subject.
As the library began to empty, you glanced at the time. “We should probably get some dinner before the house-elves clear the tables,” you said, gathering your notes.
You started to walk to the Great Hall, still in conversation about the finer points of bowtruckles, when something slipped out from under his arm and fluttered to the ground. You instinctively bent down to pick it up, and your eyes widened as you caught sight of the parchment. It was an essay titled “The Lifecycle of Thestrals” with “A” scrawled at the top in red ink. The neat handwriting and the perfectly structured points left no doubt: Barty had known exactly what he was doing in Care of Magical Creatures all along.
You blinked, looking from the essay to Barty, who wore a guilty-but-unbothered grin.
“What’s this?” you asked, eyebrows raised. “You didn’t need my help at all, did you?”
“Guilty as charged,” he replied, his smirk widening.
You scoffed, folding your arms. “Unbelievable. So you wasted my time?”
He leaned in, voice dropping to a low murmur. “Come on, can you really blame me?” His eyes held that familiar glint. “When Pandora mentioned you were the go-to expert on magical creatures, I knew I couldn’t miss the chance. I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend a few hours with someone as pretty as you, Treasure?”
Heat crept up your cheeks, and you looked away, trying not to let him see how flustered you felt. “You are unbelievable,” you muttered, but your voice came out softer than you intended.
“Unbelievably charming? I’ll take it,” he said, grinning as you approached the Great Hall. “I had a great time, by the way. Maybe next time, we can have a... more private study session.”
He threw you a wink before sauntering off toward the Slytherin table, leaving you standing there, cheeks flushed, speechless, and—if you were being honest with yourself—a bit confused. Because somehow, despite his insufferable arrogance, the idea of spending more time with him didn’t sound half as annoying as you’d expected.

The smell of weed was the first thing that reached Ellie's nose when she walked into the house.
Mid term exams has had her stressed and she's barley been out. Whoever said college would be easy, lied because she's never been this stressed.
She needed to blow off some steam and what better way is there than to get blackout out drunk and to fuck a random girl she'll never talk to again.
It was too early in the night to make a move. She need to wait for the straight girls to get drunk, and for the overly emotional girls to come her way.
She sat on a couch scanning the room. So many victims, so many options.
Who will be the lucky girl tonight?
"You know its gross to eye fuck innocent people?" she heard a voice talk next to her.
A small frown appeared on Ellie's face when she turned to you.
Holy shit, who are you?
Her eyes scanned your body.... fuck
Maybe you'd be the lucky one
You noticed her staring and you rolled your eyes before saying: "Take your pervert eyes off me"
Oh you were feisty.
Ellie never had a problem with women. Most of them threw themselves at her, all she needed to do was say a few words and give them a small smile and they'd be moaning her name minutes later.
She was confident that she'll get you too. She just needed to pull out all the stops when it came to you.
Ellie chuckled at your comment "I'm not a pervert, I'm just checking to make sure you don't have a weapon on you?" she joked.
"What weapon? My strap on?" You snorted.
oh.
Ellie wasn't expecting that.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" you teased at her sudden silence.
Ellie shook her head quickly gaining her composure.
"Has anyone ever told you that you were pretty?" She quickly tried changing the subject.
You hummed "quite a few... has anyone ever told you that you suck at flirting?"
Now this made her jaw drop.
You didn't giggle like she expected, you didn't give her a shy smile.
What the fuck is happening?
"You're boring" you state, you got up and left.
You left the Ellie Williams speechless.
The longer the night went on the more her mind drifted to you. Her mission of finding someone to fuck ended as soon as you came into the picture.
She wanted you. She was on a mission to find you. But between all the people grinding up against each other she thought that would be impossible.
"Hey there loser" she heard your voice she immediately turned to you.
"h-hey" did she just fucking stutter?
"Did you find someone to fuck yet?" you asked she shook her head.
"Maybe we can..." Ellie went silent, too shy to finish her sentence.
She made two scissors with her hands and she made a scissoring motion "you k-know.... me and you"
You laugh at her. You fucking laugh at her.
"Don't be pathetic, use your words"
Ellie felt humiliated. Why were you telling her what to do? Normally she was the one giving orders. Ellie decided that its time to switch roles. She wanted to be in charge.
"Well lets go to the bathroom and ill show you what i can do"
"so you're saying im some kind of cheap fuck?"
"N-no i mean... i meant like-"
"see fucking pathetic"
Ellie was sweating, her cheeks were tinted in a dark shade of pink.
What were you doing to her?
You gently took her hand "show me where your dorm is" was all you said.
The rest was a blur to her.
Lips passionately touching each other, clothes flying off, your fingers in her. A tiny rose tattoo on your left shoulder. She's never cum so hard in her life.
After tonight she knew you fucked her over.
No one had made her this nervous, no one has ever made her finish this hard, no one had ever made her this submissive.
Who are you?
Ellie groaned when she heard her alarm go off. She rolled over to the side of the bed you were laying on, but you weren't there.
She opened her eyes to a cold empty bed.
"Fuck" she sighed.
She never got your name, she doesn't have your number, she doesn't know anything about you.
The memory of you on top of her, you moaning was all she could think about.
Fuck, how she just forget that? How could she forget you?
The only thing she remembered was the rose tattoo on your left shoulder.
"Fuck rose who are you?"

TAKE A BREAK - LN
y/n was always going to be the most beautiful woman that lando had ever seen, even now, as she sat slumped over her laptop, pen tucked into her bun and dark circles under her eyes, highlighted by the dull orange of her desk lamp in an otherwise dark room.
this was not a new situation for lando to find his girlfriend in - he’d seen her at her worst when she had been revising for her final exams years ago, whilst he was busy with his driving career. but this past week, he’d barely spent time with her, besides seeing her setting up her desk before he left in the morning, and eating a rushed dinner before she went straight back to studying. y/n was bound to crash soon, her body and mind overworked and over tired, but her resistance was strong. lando missed his girlfriend. yes, she was physically in the same apartment as him, but mentally she was so far away, completely unreachable to the outside world.
“hey,” he announced, leaning against the door frame. she mumbled a quick hello in response, not even looking away from the glowing screen in front of her.
“y/n?” he tried to get her attention again, still with a mumbled response. he pushed his body from where he was leaning, walking slowly over to rest on the back of her desk chair, his head lowering to press a kiss to the top of her head, “come to bed, angel.”
“i will in a minute,” she said, finally breaking her stare at her computer, leaning back to look at him. he finally got a good look at her face. she was still beautiful, but she was tired. she was pale, her eyes red from the strain and constant fight against exhaustion.
“no baby, you said that last night and crawled into bed 3 hours later.”
“i said i was sorry for waking you up,” she said sadly, her shoulders tensing, the shift to her posture causing her muscles to move for the first time in hours.
“i don’t care about you waking me up, i care about you clearly struggling. you need to take a break, angel,” he said, his tone harsh even when he tried to be as nice as possible.
“im fine, lan, i promise. ill come to bed in 10 minutes.”
“y/n,” he warned, no longer caring about his tone, “when was the last time you showered?” he added, out of genuine concern, however she did not take it in that way.
“what? why? do i smell?” she asked, raising her arm to sniff herself, lando physically restrained himself from laughing. she didn’t smell, but her hair was slightly greasy, purely from the amount of times she ran her hands through her hair out of frustration, or kept her head propped up, using her arm as support.
“y/n,” he says, using her full name, “you are going to shut your computer down, have a shower, and then go to bed. you can keep studying tomorrow but tonight, i want to spend time with my girlfriend before i have to leave the country again.”
she was reluctant to oblige, but she knew she’d been neglecting him in favour of studying. she did this every time she had an important essay due, or upcoming exams - her brain became laser focused to the extent of forgetting to look after herself and those around her, the deadline approaching only adding to the pressure. she closed her laptop, and stood, stretching her legs out in the process, not realising they had gone numb from sitting down for hours.
lando took to standing behind her, hands on her waist as he guided her into their bathroom. as he switched on the light, her eyes squeezed shut and a groan fell from her lips at the shock of the brightness.
“has that light always been so fucking bright?” she groaned, as lando laughed quietly, moving around her to set the shower up.
“that’s what happens when you sit in a dark hole for hours angel. when was the last time you left that room,” he asked, his hand under the water testing the temperature.
“erm, when we had dinner?”
“babe that was 6 hours ago,” he replied with a sigh, checking the time on his watch, “the showers warm enough now. get in. i’ll be in the other room.”
“you’re not showering with me?” she asked sadly. his eyes perked up at the thought of spending intimate time with her.
5 minutes later, they were both stood under the water, his hands massaging shampoo on her scalp. the warm water has loosened her muscles, and the feeling of lando’s hands on her bringing her back to a full sense of reality. she turned to face him, looking in his eyes as the water cleared the shampoo from her hair.
“im sorry,” she told him.
“you don’t need to be, angel. i just wish you’d take better care of yourself. i hate seeing you like this.”
“i know i just..” she said, before taking a deep breath, “i just need to pass this exam and then i’ll be back to normal, i promise.”
“y/n, you are the most intelligent person i know. there is no way you need to destroy yourself for the sake of an exam,” he replied, his hands moving to cup her jaw. she hoped the shower would mask the tears welling in her eyes. she couldn’t tell if the tears were from the kind hearted words or from the sheer stress she’d been bottling up. either way, lando could read her like a book.
he lowered his head, pulling her face closer to his, before pressing a kiss to her forehead and each cheek, and then moving to press a short but sweet his to her lips.
“i just don’t want to mess this up,” she said through tears, “ive worked so hard to get to where i am right now, i can’t afford a set back. i can’t mess this up, and i can’t think about correlation coefficients any longer without wanting to rip my hair out.”
“and you won’t mess it up,” he replies, choosing to ignore the words he doesn’t understand, marvelling at her ignorance to her own intelligence, “taking a break every now and again, looking after yourself, is not going to set you back or destroy your progress. you can’t keep going like this - the stress and the way you overwork yourself is going to set you back further than taking the evening off will, angel.”
“i just need to pas-”
“no, you need to take a step back. give yourself a break.”
“i know, i jus-”
“stop arguing with me or i’ll throw that damn laptop out of the window,” he said, interrupting her and crossing his arms over his chest.
“please don’t, i can’t afford a new one,” she joked, and lando smiled at hearing her laughing for the first time in weeks.
“i’ll buy you a new one,” he replied, pressing another kiss to her lips, “right, turn around i need to do the conditioner now.”
lando didn’t let y/n move another finger all night. he had wrapped her in a towel and sat her down on the toilet lid whilst he brought her in a cup of tea. he helped her climb into her pyjamas, and then sat her down between his legs as he dried her hair. they had crawled into bed afterwards, his arms reaching out to pull her to lay on his chest.
“thank you,” she mumbled against his neck, her eyes already closed out of exhaustion.
“don’t thank me,” he replied, tilting his head to kiss her forehead, “just promise me you’ll start taking care of yourself.”
“i promise,” she said, raising her pinky finger to interlock with his.
“tomorrow, you start taking an hour break for every two hours of work you do. and please, go outside, get some fresh air,” he said, pleading with her.
“half an hour,” she debated with him.
“an hour. end of,” he said, his decision final, “or, that laptop really is going.”
“you would never,” she replied, jokingly gasping at him.
“you wanna bet?”

nfl reiner braun tears his alc and requests the best surgeon to work on it. he gets, youuuu, sweet smelling pink doctor coat wearing you and he can’t even take you serious when you’re going over his chart or requesting to feel the muscle with those pink gloves on. you even look younger than him and he’s telling you: “darlin’, listen… im a big deal around here and i need someone to help fix me not give me a boner.” or something like that and you almost don’t have the heart to tell him that you’re the best that there’s ever been at this hospital.
RECOVERY, reiner braun !
୨୧ — pairing: footballer!reiner braun x fem!reader
୨୧ — synopsis: this doctor’s got a hardheaded patient! it’ll take some effort to convince him of your effectiveness . . .
୨୧ — contains: ( 1.4k words of . . . ) modern au, slight nsfw (more like suggestive!), footballer!reiner, surgeon!reader, fem!reader (black coded), reiner has an ACL tear, reiner’s touch-deprived/sexually frustrated, rei’s kindaaa conceited (just a little bit!), palming, minors shoo!
୨୧ — mira’s note: ramona, my love! i adore all your reiner concepts, they’re always sooo perfect 🎀 thank youuu for sharing your rei-rei thoughts with me :) now here’s a lil drabble for my gorgeous man! (not really proofread thoroughly, i apologize for any typos or mistakes!)
isopropyl.
it’s all that reiner can smell. he’s a healthy man, he hardly belongs here— in this chilled surgeon office with the most pale, unflattering lighting. the parchment-like exam table paper rustles beneath him with every stretch and maneuver he makes, and his weight is enough to pry a creak out of the treatment table every now and again.
a recurring clack of footsteps and the whine of the door lets reiner know that you, the ‘sexy doctor lady from earlier’ has returned from reading his screenings. he wasn’t able to catch your name amidst the splitting pain from his acl tear, so that’ll make do in the meantime.
you set down your clipboard and turn to face him. your dear patient appears a bit mussed from the big game that took place earlier— his golden hair’s all fluffy and wild, that red football uniform of his is streaked with the green of the field, and his left cheekbone got a little scratch somehow. you’ll make sure to dab that with rubbing alcohol later.
“your vitals are well above average.” you commend. his reply’s a mere grunt. he can’t bring himself to take you seriously. just fucking look at you; pink latex gloves pulled over manicured hands, welcoming eyes all doe and shiny, with a sweet glossed smile that he won’t forget for days to come. he hates having to meet such a beauty under these grim circumstances– after all, you’re the kind of woman he’d take out on a date.
“lucky for you, mister braun, your injury isn’t a complete tear . . . so your recovery time shouldn’t be too long. it’ll last about six months, give or take.”
he isn’t listening.
reiner isn’t even sure of when he began to space out; your lips are just so plush, so alluring. his surname sounds sweeter than it should when falling from your mouth. before long, you clear your throat. it’s enough to snap him out of it. “i’d appreciate your undivided attention, sir. we’re currently going over your healing plan— ”
“lemme ask you, sugar,” he interjects with a low rasp. reiner braun’s well known around these parts, and you can only assume that being such a big deal has gotten to his head. what he says next throws you off, “when’s the real doctor comin’ in, hm?” it’s hard to remain professional, but you do. no furrowed brows, no scrunched up face— nothing but a tight, forced smile.
you suck in a breath through your nose, maintaining composure. “what makes you think it isn’t me, mister braun?” he can hear the tinge of vexation in your voice. clearly, this footballer has struck a chord or two.
“you’ve got pink gloves on, barbie.” he snarks out a laugh, just a bit mean. he’s much too handsome for such a condescending tone.
you bring a gloved hand flat to his chest, pushing reiner back into the examination table. his breath catches in his throat when you knead your fingers into his thigh, right where the tear resides beneath firm muscle. you’re assertive, and goddamn, does he love it.
“i’m your doctor.” you assure, voice firm. he groans out at the calculated pressure; it feels good. makes the throb of pain fade, just a bit.
“you’ll have to put some faith in me, hm?” your tone is warm, words soft and patient in a way he doesn’t deserve. reiner can’t lie, it was crass of him to have undermined you that way.
“my apologies, doc.” he addresses you in the rightest way he can. it’s his tiny little way of making amends.
“so, how long— fuck, how long did ‘ya study for?” reiner tries for small talk, voice low and shaken. you’d like to believe that whatever left his lips just now wasn’t a moan. no, it was more like . . . a groan of pain, perhaps?
“about six years. graduated early,” no wonder you look just about his age, if not younger. all his previous doctors were just as old as his parents.
“smart and pretty, huh?” he graces you with a feeble grin, a white gleam of teeth surrounded by neatly trimmed stubble. it’s safe to say that he’s your hottest patient up to date.
you continue on with prodding into the thick meat of his left thigh, and those throaty whines of his make you feel a way you simply shouldn’t.
it’s been a while since reiner’s been touched this way. he knows it’s just a regular inspection for his stupid injury, but he can’t recall the last time a woman’s splayed their hands on his body. he’s always busy with football this, training that. there’s never any time remaining for hook-ups, talkless of a relationship. that being said, it isn’t long before he begins to grow excited.
“m— mister braun,” you call out, voice airy, “you seem a little, um . . . worked up.”
“huh?” his eyes flit up to meet yours. you lock onto his honey-brown pools of desperation.
nothing else is uttered. you wordlessly direct your gaze towards his crotch, and give him a knowing look. reiner finally catches on— he fucking knew he felt his bottoms getting tight. hesitantly, the blonde lifts his head to peer down at his pants. surely enough, a boner’s prodding at the centering cloth of his football shorts.
“goddamn,” he drops his head back onto the examination table, bashfully throwing his forearm over his eyes. humiliation eats at the proud man, reducing him to a jumble of hormones.
you can hardly bring yourself to contain your chuckle, which makes his reddened cheeks burn further. it seems that his bodily reaction to your skilled hands has given him a sense of humility at best, and embarrassment at worst.
“i’ve never been appointed to a lady before . . .” is his hushed excuse. he’s still got his eyes shielded with his arm— he can’t even fucking bear to look at you. it’ll only spur him on further.
‘i turn you on?’ is what you’re just longing to question him. you know that you do— he’s been looking at your lips with bated breath since he got here. not to mention the peeks he’d taken at your ass whenever you turned around to read his chart or grab a cotton ball.
it’s quite bold of you— more like dangerous— to bring your ministrations upwards, closer to the ache under his pants. you’d tell yourself to stay on task, but professionalism has long been thrown out the window.
your gloved hands trail mischievously, placed directly atop reiner’s hard-on. warmth radiates from your palm, and you squeeze. his eyes blink shut, hips gently bucking upwards. his tear burns from beneath his skin, but he doesn’t fucking care. he bets he could cum from your hands alone.
reiner eventually manages to pull his arm away from blocking his viewpoint, chest heaving with every passing second. if you were to use your stethoscope on him, his heartbeat would be nothing short of erratic.
“trust me, mister braun,” is your reassuring whisper, “you’re in good hands.”

kim seokjin ! december 4, 1992
seokjin was a lonely, lonely guy.
he never had any friends growing up. for some strange reason, the world just rejected the poor boy, and anybody that didn't totally oust him never stuck around for long.
he could never understand why. he was caring, he was polite, and handsome. so why did everybody hate him?
because of his unfair reality, it wasn't uncommon for seokjin to form a sort of...attachment...to those who showed him the slightest shred of humanity. you were no exception.
one day, a day that would, unbeknownst to you, shape the lives of two people.
seokjin was in your civics class. you never heard much from him, even though you sat right next to him. he was just there, floating in the background, until one day, he was shoved into your view.
it was exam day, and the snap of seokjin's pencil was amplified by the silent room. the young man scoffed in annoyance as the lead rolled away, onto the rough, brown carpet.
at first you almost laughed. not at his misfortune, really, but his reaction. it was like something from a sitcom, but of course you didn't laugh. laughing would be rude, and you were not rude.
taking a thin, pink, glittery pencil from your open pencil case, you wordlessly slid it across the smooth table, the wood making a long scratch sound on the wood. seokjin looked over at the sound, and when he met your kind eyes, and saw your sweet smile, that was it.
reaching out his slender hand to take the pencil, he gave you a smile of his own, a small one, but it was the most genuine one he had worn in months. his heart thumped rapidly in his chest as he picked up from where he left off in his writing. only now, he could barely remember anything, the information now blurred and fuzzy.
from then on, you didn't just sink into the background to him. you didn't blend in with the other mess of college students he saw everyday. you were vibrant, and interesting, and full-of-life.
every time you spoke, he listened as if it were the most intriguing thing he had ever heard. every time you walked, he watched you like a movie. whenever you wrote, he read it like it was a sacred text.
that's all it was, though. just an interested boy studying an interesting girl. he knew he was on thin ice, but never really grasped the thought of what would happen if it ever cracked.
until one day, when he decided then and there to dedicate his life to the subject.
"seokjin, did you get question twenty right? i got marked down for it, but i don't know what i did wrong."
your voice was soft, and curious, and delicately met met his eardrums like hands met fine china.
"i, uh" he stuttered, looking down at the exam paper. unfortunately, he hadn't done well at all on the exam. sometimes he got the feeling the professor had some sort of hatred for him. however, he did get question twenty right.
"yeah, i did. you can look at it, if you want to." he offered, outstretching the paper in his shaky hand.
you accepted, standing next to him and taking the corner of the paper in your hand as you read his answer.
seokjin's heart pounded in his chest. he had never been this close to someone before, the sweet aroma of your perfume and gentle touch on his arm making his mind go hazy.
you nodded. "i get what i did wrong. thanks, seokjin!" you smiled, patting his shoulder as you bounced away from him. he hoped you didn't see the pink blush on his face as you left.
it was over for him, his life as kim seokjin. from now on, he was yours, all yours, for you to love and ruin and coddle and ignore as you pleased.
from the moment your electric touch met him, is when the ice shattered and he took the plunge into the harsh, choppy waters of...love? or obsession?
he didn't know. the line between the two was thin, almost nonexistent, and the ink was smudged by the thunderous waves that crashed around it. but instead of drowning in the icy ocean that surrounded him, he tread the water and swam like a shark.
by far, his favorite thing to do was follow you around. everywhere, everyday, no matter what.
what was the harm? it was fun for him, gave him a look into the life of the one he loved, and he could keep you safe--even from afar.
although it did have its downsides. and of course, the pain was given to him by the hands of other people.
he wasn't a fan of the other people in your life, your piano instructor, your coworker, even the professor in one of your classes. they were too close to you for his liking.
but his perception was botched. he didn't like anyone within six feet of you, so naturally he was biased against everyone.
there were letters, a lot of letters. detailing his love, his devotion, his disdain for the people around you. left in your mailbox, your seat, even in your bag.
some were sweet, just toeing the borderline between cute and weird. but others were just plain graphic, claiming to be motivated by love.
one of them, he even adorned with his own crimson signature. he drew the blood from his left ring finger. after all, it was the wedding ring finger, and the only finger that connected straight to the heart. how fitting!
he also sent gifts -- if he ever saw you linger in front of a shop window, gazing wistfully at an expensive bag, or watched you poke through the selection of plushies in a bin, he would make sure it wound up on your doorstep.
you were confused at first, but as time marched on, your confusion slipped into something closer to fear and concern. but somehow, it still just felt rude to throw out the...loving...gifts that fell into your lap.
and you were not rude.
min yoongi ! march 9, 1993
poor, poor yoongi.
no matter how hard he tried, all get got from his family were demands.
to do more, to do better, to be better.
it was like nothing he could do would ever please them. whenever his fingertips brushed the standard set for him, the bar was raised, just out of his reach.
for a long time, yoongi tried to convince himself that he wanted what his family wanted, that he wanted to become a respected lawyer and take over his family's law firm.
it felt wrong to want anything else, after all, this role was shoved into his lap before he was even born.
but it was when he got to college that he came to terms with the fact that he was not, and would never be, what his family wanted him to be.
all his life, yoongi had been drawn to the sweet tunes of the ivy keys and soft hums of the guitar strings, rather than the scales of justice. it only started as one more activity for him to do, sanctioned by his parents, but it turned into a true passion for him. it turned into an escape.
though it was a very real dream, it was just one more thing that was out of reach for him. all that separated the two was a thin piece of unbreakable glass, the reality so close he could almost reach out and grasp it.
so he tried to move on, he really did, for the sake of himself, and his parents.
but when he was gifted with an opportunity to teach piano to other college students, how could he refuse?!
most of his pupils weren't serious about it. some felt obliged to be there, thanks to feelings put forth by other demanding parents. others just needed an extra graduation credit.
but you just stood out to him.
not because of your musical abilities (though your ability to pick things up so quickly did impress him greatly!)
but because of the way he could let his guard down around you.
you were a chatty thing, unlike most of his other pupils, and you didn't waste any time in asking him about himself.
it took him by surprise, as most of the people he tutored didn't bother to say much to him.
so he told you he wanted to be a musician, but that he was studying prelaw instead. your eyebrows knitted together, your eyes narrowing in confusion.
"but you're so talented. and you want to be a musician. why not just go for it?" you wondered, voice soft and genuine.
your question caught him by surprise. if he were to say something half as radical as that around anybody in his family, he would earn a lecture and a smack on the head. so it wasn't surprising that he had to take a second to formulate an answer that wasn't a defense.
"thanks, [name]," he sputtered, "i wish it were that easy." he sighed, busying himself with the music sheets in front of him. you giggled, the underlying poke in his words flying over your head.
and from then on, his guard was down. for the first time ever. and he just loved it.
maybe, just maybe, if he had gotten that encouraging word ten years earlier, things would be different. maybe he wouldn't have grown to crave it the way he did.
it started small. just a little flame in his heart whenever he saw your name on his schedule.
the flame only grew with each passing week. it wasn't enough, seeing you once a week, it wasn't enough to extinguish the blaze in his heart. he needed to see you every hour of every day.
but the fire within him turned from adoration to anger one night, when he spotted you laughing with a group of people he didn't know.
they were using you, he thought. for your looks, your kindness, your intelligence. he was the only one who really cared for you, he knew it.
so of course, with your well-being in mind, he did his own research on these people. it was just harmless -- he only collected their addresses, their phone numbers, their family members. just in case.
but with every session that went by, of just the two of you playing piano, he found himself falling further and further into this unfamiliar void.
and he decided that he was bringing you with him. there wasn't anybody else who would keep him safe from the demands of his family.
so what if you were afraid of the dark? he would bring you a flashlight. it would be good for you, he absolutely knew it.
he knew it wasn't enough to see you for an hour every week. it wasn't enough to give you the music he'd written for you, with its soft melodies and sweet tunes.
it wasn't enough for him to drape his arms over your shoulders as you played, "adjusting your hands" as your fingers brushed over the ivory.
it was never enough.
and when he saw a some boy think he could put his arm around your shoulder one afternoon, the fire burned so hot there was only one thing left for him to do.
the very next day, the boy walked around campus, his hands sore and fingers in splints.
that same day, you skipped into the music room, and as you were chattering about your week, mentioned your dear friend and his accident and his poor broken fingers.
"that's awful," yoongi muttered, seemingly shocked at the incident, "if i got into an accident like that, i don't know how i'd go on."
the boy wasn't dead yet, but at least he couldn't play you piano.
jung hoseok ! february 18, 1994
apollo himself.
that's what you thought the first time you saw hoseok. with his bright red hair, his pretty face and radiant smile, he was the brightest looking person you had ever seen.
he had been the first to welcome you to your new job, at a small convenience store down the street from your school. he had also been the one to train you, and soon became your closet friend at work.
he was happy, for sure. he was eager, and helpful, and oh-so sweet to you. being around him was like a boost of energy and a jolt of excitement.
"thanks, [name].." he said shyly, after you had told him all of this. "i think you're all of that and so much more." he admitted with a smile, before you were interrupted by the door opening.
he watched dreamily as you rushed over to help the customer, your words sticking in his mind like honey.
he meant what he told you. he wanted to tell you so much more.
that you were unlike anyone he's ever met. that you were the best friend he's ever had. that you were the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and that he loved you, so so much.
hoseok had always been the floater friend. kind and caring to the point he was the backup plan.
he helped his friends while they were down, caught them when they fell, listened to them cry and complain and rant.
all the while, they rebounded from their troubles, and were back in the game, leaving hoseok there. just waiting in the back.
he thought he didn't mind, he thought he was okay with it. but he couldn't keep ignoring the toll it took on him.
but you were a breath of fresh air. truly unlike anyone he's ever met.
you mirrored him. you took the time out of your life to talk to him, and for the first time in a long time, he found himself answering the same questions he asked the people in his life.
and quickly the memories of late nights spent by himself, long walks down the street debating if this was really worth it, and empty bridges that seemed to beg the same question, were gone and out of sight.
he found himself craving it, your care, your questions, your answers, your love, your hate, your attention, in any way he could get it. he wanted your eyes on him.
and the more time that passed, the more intense his cravings became. so he did whatever he had to do to keep your attention on him.
it started as small things: swiping various snacks and drinks from the shelves for your break, killing the bugs that found their way into the store (he knew you were petrified of them), putting away the heavy boxes and stepping onto the ladders for you -- anything he could do to make you so enamored that you would forget about the world outside of him.
he knew his little addiction was getting serious when he found himself at the store under the cover of darkness, long after you had gone home, shoving bills from the register into his pockets and leaving just as swiftly as he had arrived.
he had to fund his...hobbies...somehow, didn't he?
after all, axes were expensive. so were tarps, and gloves, and garbage bags, not to mention the gasoline and matches.
as much as he wanted to, as badly as he wanted to take a blade to every single other person you had ever talked to, he had to be careful.
after all, if you found out your sweet, sunshiney coworker had done that to the man that had scolded you at the register that day, you would never want to see him again.
the mere thought was too much for him to bear, so he didn't bother thinking about it too hard -- he just did what he had to.
kim namjoon ! september 12, 1994
being a professor was no easy job.
sure, it put food on the table and allowed him to socialize, but sometimes the students were almost too much to deal with.
but there was one thing -- one person, actually, that made it all worth it.
it started on his first day, in a medium-sized civics class, full of students he assumed wouldn't take him seriously and would give him nothing but trouble and a headache.
you hadn't caught his attention right away -- sure, you were gorgeous, but he hadn't thought much of it, there were a lot of pretty girls here.
the thing that had first drawn him was rather trivial -- a small act of kindness towards another classmate, by giving him a bright pink pencil after his had snapped. sure, it was kind, and the first such act he had seen on campus before, but not earth-shattering.
but what really got him was that smile. it stopped him in his tracks, froze him in place, and wrecked him in ways he had never experienced before.
over the course of the weeks, it became evident that you stood apart from everybody else -- for one, you were smart. and namjoon was a professor, so of course he loved smart.
aside from that, you were a sweetheart. and you were polite, and helpful, and funny, and you actually participated -- so many things that everybody else he had in his classes wasn't, that it made him wonder.
what were you doing here? why were you hanging around with a bunch of nobodies when you were obviously so much more? it was clear that you were special, and that he was the only person around that could give you what you needed.
so the only logical solution to this is that he would take you under his wing. he would keep your focus on him and off of the halfwits, so they couldn't corrupt you too. he was going to keep you safe, like any good teacher should.
and soon enough, namjoon found himself in love.
it didn't take long for him to weasel his way into your life -- for someone so smart, you sure were trusting. that didn't bother him, though -- it only made things easier for him.
it started after a particularly long and boring class, when he pulled you aside and asked about your interest in impressionist paintings, eagerly telling you how he had overheard the conversation between you and a friend the day before.
you didn't even get a chance to agree before he pulled six papers from his rather messy and cluttered desk. what were they? three printouts of his favorite impressionist paintings, and three printouts of italian macchiaoli paintings that he thought you'd like.
it continued from there -- nearly every single class, he pulled you aside to show you something he'd thought you would like, or ask your opinion on an era of literature. sometimes he would even give you something to keep, like a book or pamphlet.
it wasn't long after he started chatting to you about romance languages and ancient poetry did his friendliness become favoritism, at least in his eyes.
it was just subtle things, really, like boosting your grades just enough to avoid suspicion, looking the other way if you were late, and making sure to call on you first in class discussions.
he knew there was a line, though, and he made a point to never cross it.
except for the tracker he had put into your phone, one day after he had collected it for an exam. he knew it was excessive, borderline stalkerish, but to him, it was necessary.
he couldn't have anything happening to his little genius, could he?
and obviously he knew exactly why the boy who you had given the pencil to, and who could now not stop ogling at you, had suffered a major academic crisis in his civics class.
but that didn't count. he couldn't help it if the line kept moving forward.
poor namjoon. the more time that passed, the more frustrated he got.
you were smart. how could you not see it? did you ever see him treating any other student the way he treated you? when was the last time he gave anybody else a book of victorian-era artwork, or a collection of unfinished poetry?
and what irked him the most was watching the same people he wanted to keep you away from be all friendly and close to you, while all he could do was pat your shoulder, smile politely, and stand on the sidelines.
namjoon was smart. he knew he wouldn't be able to settle for this much longer. sooner or later, he was going to have to act, for your good and his own sanity. it was wrong, and it was strange, but he couldn't help it. he needed more.
park jimin ! october 13, 1995
jimin was nothing short of a sweetheart.
your closest and dearest childhood friend, your story began at the park, when you saw him sitting on a swing, kicking the mulch around and looking alone.
being the little social butterfly you were, you skipped over, sat on the swing next to him, and started talking, and that was that.
you stuck together all throughout childhood, high school, right up until you both left for college.
"promise me you'll call? and text? and visit me?" he pleaded, his hands resting on your shoulders.
you nodded and smiled fondly. "all the time, mimi. just watch, you'll be sick of me in a week. i'll call you every day." you promised, leaning up to link your arms around his neck and hug him for the last time in what seemed to be forever.
you had kept your promise to him, he knew you would, but he couldn't help but feel empty. like there was a broken, gaping hole in his heart, causing the life to spill from his body.
he knew there was something brewing, feelings that were went beyond friendly, even beyond romantic. feelings that, if he expressed him, would make him seem so messed up that you would never speak to him again.
he had felt them for years, and deep down, he knew what they meant. but he ignored them. he looked away, shoved them out.
and that's what he would keep doing until there was absolutely nothing left for him to do anymore.
it wasn't easy for him, and hadn't been easy for a lot of years.
he was ever the romantic, but of course you didn't know that. his pure love and adoration appeared to you as nothing more than him being a good friend. but in reality, the only thing he was doing was getting as close as he could.
bringing you your favorite snacks when you hung out was as close as he could get to bringing you a bouquet of flowers and a love note everyday.
retelling childhood memories and embarrassing stories to make you laugh when you were sad was the closest he could get to holding you in his lap and rubbing your back until you felt better.
letting you test out makeup and skincare products on him in the store was as close as he could get to your face without pulling you towards him and kissing you until you couldn't think straight.
as innocent as he came across, he knew something more sinister lurked underneath it all. and he felt it stir, whenever you mentioned your professor and your shared love of the humanities, or your coworker who embodied the sun, or the barista at your local coffee shop who had mastered your favorite coffee.
it was like something else washed over him, something that ignited a blaze in his heart so hot that even he was scared of getting burned.
what was weirder is that jimin was usually so pure. for god's sake, he still put both your names into those cheesy internet love tests. he still gave you a family together in the sims. he still wrote your initials together, surrounded by a heart bubble and a sweet message on the corner of every paper he could find.
but the thing that took over his senses was the polar opposite. it gave him awful, twisted, murderous thoughts. it tormented him, day and night, knowing that something like that existed within him. it scared him.
and it only got worse when you broke the news that a mystery someone had taken a liking to you, and was showering you with gifts and notes and everything else a sweet girl like you could ever want.
that was when it took over completely. that was when something inside of him snapped, shattered, was torn to shreds.
he knew that he couldn't hold up anymore. this was his call to action. he had to do something, he had to act, and if he didn't, you would be gone forever.
he wasn't going to stand by. he couldn't stand by. not anymore.
kim taehyung ! december 30, 1995
taehyung was mystery. at least, to you he was.
he moved in to your neighborhood during your freshman year of high school, and not once in the last four years you lived there before college did you ever hear a word from him.
you didn't even know his name, let alone his age or school. from your guess, he was about your age, and based off the school uniform you had seen him in a few times, he went to some hoity-toity private school on the other side of town.
the only thing that you knew for sure were that his parents were strict. like, really really strict. they hardly let him out of his sight, and a few times you had walked past the house and heard them loudly lecturing him on the importance of studying and how he could have fun when he was established.
what you obviously didn't know was that taehyung was fascinated by you.
he had seen you within the first week he had lived next door, and something about you had him hooked.
you were fun, and loud, and had a lot of friends, and were the opposite of everyone else he had ever gotten to know. and of course, his parents lectured him about you, telling him to "stay away" and that you were "careless and a bad influence".
but he couldn't peel his eyes away from you, even if he wanted to. he just couldn't look away.
pure curiosity was the reason he started peering through your window when you were in there -- never while you were changing though, that would make him feel like a bad person. but as you laid on your bed, scrolled on your phone, hung out with friends, or listened to music, his gazed always traveled to you.
the reason he started was curiosity. but the reason he stayed was pure fondness. he came to love watching you, observing your habits and behaviors, almost like he was living his teenage dreams through you.
it was also the reason he started to become a bit more...active in your life.
nothing crazy, after all, he lived under a hawk's eye, and there wasn't a whole lot he really could do without being chastised for it.
he wanted you to know, though, he wanted you to know how much he really adored you. he would send you flowers, whatever was in season, and various goodies from cute online shops, sometimes even sweets from a fancy bakery, and putting it all under the name of an aunt he didn't even know if you really had.
although he couldn't be sure all the time, he was fairly certain his fake aunt persona was working -- judging from how you would go upstairs and happily open the package, taking out whatever was in there and excitedly showing it to your friends on video chat, he assumed you were none the wiser to the reality.
as time went on, though, he found himself increasingly unsatisfied with just watching you. like a viewer who wanted to live in their favorite tv show, he wanted to be in your life. and the fact that he couldn't do that pained him worse than anything he had ever experienced. so, he coped.
one night, clad in a black hoodie and mask, he silently slipped out of the backdoor without rousing his parents from their sleep. it was surprisingly easy, making him wonder why he hadn't done this in the past.
he crept over to your first-story bedroom window, peering through the glass. he couldn't make out much since it was so dark -- but he could faintly see your sleeping form, wrapped up in blankets and surrounded by plushies.
it was almost too easy, how he slid open the window and hopped in. his heart was pounding at this point, the thought of waking you almost scaring him into going home.
but he didn't. he stayed, tiptoed around your room, looked at your desk, which was cluttered with pictures of you and another guy, whom he recognized as a close friend of yours, and read through your school notes.
your handwriting was beautiful, he noticed, the swoops and curves of the letters looked more like ancient artwork rather than history notes. he felt a surge of excitement as he saw your white leather desk chair, the same one he had fondly watched you spin around in for what felt like hours on end.
he felt like a kid in a candy store, as he rifled through your other belongings, flipping through books and poking through your jewelry as he fought the urge to steal anything for himself.
just as he was just making himself at home in your room, you stirred noisily in your sleep, causing him to practically leap out of your chair and clamber back out the window -- but not before blowing you a kiss.
it wasn't the last time he would do that, in fact, nearly every night he found himself back in the warm embrace of your cozy room. it gave him a taste of not just your life, but the life of a normal teenager. the life his parents had robbed him of.
and he wanted more.
you left for college a week before he did. and the first night you were gone, he found himself at the now-locked bedroom window. an awful sense of dread bubbled up in his heart as he realized the reality: you were gone. he had lost you.
he vowed to himself that things were going to be different next time. that he was going to change. and that by the time next fall rolled around, neither of you would be going back to college.
jeon jungkook ! september 1, 1997
jungkook was young.
well, the youngest person that worked at the coffee shop. which was surprising, seeing as it was located right by a college campus.
his job was fairly robotic -- greet the customer, take their order, and make the occasional drink.
however, there was one really, really good part of his job, and it was the fact that he got to see and talk to you almost every single day.
the way your hair fell over your shoulders, the way you smiled and greeted him, your cool nails, your decorated wallet, everything about you intrigued him, made him want to see you more.
in reality, the only thing he knew was your name. other than that, you were a total stranger. so how could a total stranger captivate him in such a way?
he didn't know. he was just young and in love. and shy, which is why he refused to make the first move. he would never recover from a rejection like this.
but that didn't stop him from acting like he was your one and only. nothing could stop him from doing that.
and he fell hard -- so hard, in fact, it wasn't uncommon for him to wake up from a dream in which you had been the main character, or for him to think of you when he saw a cool bag or drank your favorite coffee.
but no matter how intensely he loved you, he had to accept the fact that to you, he was and would always just be the cashier from the coffee shop.
it didn't get to his morale, though. in fact, it motivated him. he was determined to stand out to you, to stay in your mind as much as you were in his, to the point where you couldn't take it anymore and would finally ask him out.
so he worked.
some of the things he did were innocent, like watching hours of youtube videos on how to craft your drink perfectly, slipping in a free pastry here and there, and even looking up love potion recipes online. of course he knew they weren't real, but that didn't stop the fantasy from playing out in his head.
and some were...a bit sly.
sometimes, he'd get to work a bit early, just so he could hide the ingredients to your favorite drink, which meant that when you came in and his coworkers were inevitably scrambling to find the ingredients for your order, he would get more time to hear your pretty voice.
he even started collecting the little things you left behind -- receipts with your signature, straw wrappers, even pocketing some of the coins you gave him to pay for your drink. these little artifacts lived in their own museum in his locker, which his coworkers just thought was messy.
but one day, something happened that made him realize he had to step up his game, or be miserable forever.
one day, you came in, except you weren't alone. there, in a place beside you which should have been his, there was a boy. his hair was a vibrant red, he wore colorful streetwear and had a smile that could only be compared to sunshine.
but he didn't care about that. who was this guy, and why was he with his girl?
tongue-in-cheek, and with a fake smile plastered on his face, he suffered through taking your order as normally as he could. but of course, he wasn't going to let this freak get away with something like this.
so as he prepared the drinks, he made yours perfectly, just as he had seen online. but for your little friend, he quietly slipped in a clump of salt, stirring it with the straw and handing them both to you with a smile.
he couldn't help the feeling of satisfaction that swelled in his chest as he watched the happy boy's expression contort into one of confusion and disgust with just one sip of the drink.
but later, on his break, he brooded over the incident. who was he? why was he with you? was he going to take you away? what if you never came in again?
as the thoughts swirled around in his head, it became obvious that something had to be done. he needed you all to himself, and it was going to happen by any means necessary.

Did I catch your attention? | Kei Tsukishima x fem! reader
summary: You're always alone in the library when you're feeling stressed and you need a quiet place, but now there is a blonde guy and his noise music.
warnings: none!
a/n: thanks to my friend who forced asked me to watch haikyuu and now im obsessed with all of them.
and please let me know for any mistakes, thank youu
You have been in a bad mood since the morning. First, you were late for school because you didn't hear your alarm. You ran to your first class but the teacher wasn't happy you interrupted him, so he didn't let you in, and you missed your class.
Second, you didn't have a chance to check the weather before going out and now you were suffering the consequences, it was cold as fuck and your school jacket wasn't enough.
So yeah, you were in a really bad mood but you thought going to your favorite place to relieve some stress was the solution. Oh, how wrong you were.
As soon as you opened the library's door you saw it was crowded. The exams were coming so it wasn't a surprise to see half school there. Sighing you looked for a place to sit, but every table was occupied.
But then you saw him, a blonde guy with headphones sitting alone, perfect.
You thought of asking him if you could sit there, but it was an empty table and a public space so why would you need to ask? You sat down in front of him, taking out your books to put them on the table.
He lifted his eyes from the book he was reading to see who was there and why suddenly the table had a bunch of books, notebooks and a bottle of water, all in different places. He glared at you, his stuff were all organized while you were messy.
Feeling his gaze on you, you look up from the book you tried to read but it was impossible with the loud music blasting from his headphones. You weren't happy with his company either.
Neither of you took your eyes off each other.
You pointed at his headphones, “I can hear your music” You said forcing a smile. Tsukishima of course paused his music to hear you but the annoyed look on your face was funny and he was tired from studying so why not take a break? “I have good taste, don't you think?” He said, looking back at the book on his hands and not even trying to hide the smirk on his face. And if it wasn't enough he was playing his music louder if that was even possible.
But he picked the wrong day and the wrong girl to mess with.
Be nice, be nice, be nice
You stood up from your seat with both hands on the table “Turn down your music, we're in the library not a club” He only lifted an eyebrow, you waited for him to say anything like an apology or something but nothing came out of his mouth.
And without a warning, you almost threw yourself at him if it weren't for the table between you. You tried to take his phone, but he was faster, moving his phone away from you as if he was waiting for you to do that. And instead of taking his phone your hands got tangled in the wires of his headphones pulling his glasses off by accident.
Crack.
You both looked down at the floor where his broken glasses were. Everyone in the library turned their heads to see what whats going on. You cleared your throat, “Sorry” it wasn't clear if you meant it for disturbing the others or for breaking his glasses but you moved quickly, untangling your hands from his wires and walking to get his broken glasses.
Finally, your eyes were on him and before you could say anything, he took the glasses from you.
“Look you gotta admit it was your fault, you weren't supposed to move and—” Tsukishima scoffed, “Is that supposed to be an apology?” You looked at him as if he had grown a second head, “What should I apologize for? I wasn't the one with the loud music” “And I wasn't the one who threw himself at you” “I mean half of the girls throw themselves at you, you must be used to it by now, no?” A cynical smile was now on your face, “So you know who I am, no wonder why you did that, trying to catch my attention then? Original but not interested” He left you with your mouth open like a fish.
“...Asshole” You murmured walking to your chair after a few seconds of silence. It was the first time you had been left without a clever comeback and he just knew it by the smug look on his face.
You decided to ignore his presence by reading your book, again. But you noticed he was having problems to read his book.
Of course, i broke his glasses.
You closed your book with more force than necessary causing the people, including Tsukishima, to turn to look at you.
In a second you were sitting by his side. You snatched the book from his hands and this time you did take him by surprise. “It wasn't enough for you to annoy me with your loud music now i know who had been taking the book i needed since yesterday” Tsukishima looked at you confused and was about to reply but you cut him off.
“Shut up, I'm gonna read for you so don't talk” You were so close to him, so you wouldn't need to raise your voice in case the students wanted to complain about you two.
And just like that, you started reading, in a peaceful voice, unlike his music. He closed his eyes still listening to you, yeah you were way better than music but he wouldn't tell you.
Your knees were touching but none of you dared to move. It was... strangely comfortable. Maybe too comfortable. Well, after all, you did catch his attention.

hii 💗
so im currently obsessed with best friend!felix and wanted to request that perhaps their relationship evolves to a point where they’re practically dating but they’re both unaware of it
thank youu
a/n omg you understand them so well
----
There are certain expectations attached to Felix's name, weaved into each syllable like delicate stitches in a tapestry that depicts a family crest. You're not unaware of what the world associates with him, not oblivious enough to lack a general idea of what most assume when they think of being close to someone like him.
People would never guess that the best part of being best friends with Felix are the little things, the small gestures that show how careful he can be when he cares.
The girls you usually sit with in your last class changed so drastically when they saw him on the bench outside of your lecture hall. They whispered and giggled and twirled silky hair around their fingers. It made something in your stomach turn to stone... and you still can't figure out why. You'd be hypocritical to fault them for gossip.
They eventually started chatting about the type of girls someone like him must like. That only made things more awkward when Felix finally spotted you and waved you over. They gaped at you, and with Felix waiting, you weren't given the space needed to stumble through an explanation. The only thing you could manage was a shy 'it's not like that' and a sentence you barely remember that used the word 'friend' way too many times to be structurally sound. It didn't stop them from begging you for details next class before you finally walked away.
Now, in Felix's room, his hand on your shoulder, firm enough to be anchoring, you can't help but compare reality with what they must be imagining. The only details you can offer them are mundane. A fact that only makes you more protective of these moments. They wouldn't get it.
You're convinced no one can, so why take their comments to heart? Even Farleigh, who actually does know Felix tries to twist your friendship into something salacious, something worth gossiping about.
"You're tense." His voice comes out so low you're not sure if you're meant to respond. Felix's thumb traces circles against the top of your shoulder. "You said you had a good day today."
Felix reads your mood with a talent that'd make you uneasy if he was anyone else. "I did." The words feel flat, tired, even though your day was objectively good. You had time to stop for a coffee before class, a TA handed back graded exams and you did better than expected, and you finally finished your essay. "Just Tuesday and Thursday classes."
He nods once empathetically, thumb pressing into your skin. "Tired?"
"Yeah."
The two of you are quiet for a moment. Lulls in conversation have a tendency to make you feel the need to compensate. With Felix, the silence never asks to be rushed through. "Want to rest your eyes for a little?"
This wouldn't be the first time you took a nap in Felix's room. It's not exactly a habit--yet--but it's circling that territory. Sometimes he'll go to sleep with you, other times he'll stay up reading to you.
The offer is irritatingly perfect. You want to say yes, but you--ugh. This is what you get for talking to Farleigh. This is ridiculous. There isn't anything unusual or potentially romantic about your friendship with Felix. You're close, and when it comes to Felix, close is all consuming.
You briefly let your eyes shut. "Sounds nice, but I--I have a lot of homework."
In one movement, he lets his hand slip down your arm and his head fall against your shoulder. "C'mon," his breath is warm against your neck, "I'm tired, too."
The weakness in your resolve makes you like yourself a little less. You swallow, mentally preparing yourself to fight against your fondness. "Out late partying?"
He sighs against you, the sound more amused than it wants to be. "Oh, yeah, Oliver and I were out until the ungodly hour of 11:30." You move your arm, nails brushing a few strands of his hair back into place. "I sleep better when you're here."
Felix is always so warm, it's nearly impossible to not get caught up in it. You almost told him that he could have come over. That the movie you went to see with your roommate had ended around 10:30 and that the only reason you were dismissive when he called is because of what Farleigh had said in the library.
Instead, you settle for running your fingers through his hair. "I told you, Nadia and I went to the movies."
He sighs again, the sound a little sharper this time, almost a huff. A smile tugs at your lips. Felix looks up, half-glaring-half-pouting. "You think it's funny?"
"No," you try, extending the syllable in an attempt to prove your innocence.
Something shifts, you feel it before Felix moves. He straightens, taking his weight off you, likely in an attempt to lull you into a false sense of insecurity. You lean back, resting your weight on one hand. The bit of space you're quick enough to create isn't enough to save you.
Felix leans forward, hand finding the shoulder farthest from him. It's instinct to lean back further in an attempt to duck out from beneath his arm. The move paired with a laugh that makes you lose balance proves to be a mistake. Felix is too tall, too inescapable. His other hand finds your side and you have no choice but to let your back hit the mattress.
He's not pinning you down, but he is hovering in a way that makes you think twice about moving. "Felix." It's meant to come off as threatening, but you're still giggling and it only makes him grin.
"What?" You bravely lift an arm, placing your palm flat on his chest. You will yourself to push him away. He pulls a hand back, giving up trapping you in favor of covering the back of your palm with the front of his. "You started it."
"Doesn't sound like me."
His smile widens. "No?"
He pulls your hand away from him, and for a second, you think he might be ready to release you, but then he presses a kiss to the side of your hand. The warmth of the gesture would normally make you dizzy, but with Farleigh's words ringing in your ears...it's impossible to fully relax.
His eyebrows pinch together, "You okay?"
"Yeah," you hum, "Just tired. Like you said."
He gently sets your hand down. "Y'sure you don't want a nap?"
"No." You're only human. "A nap sounds nice. Just need to use the bathroom first."
Felix squeezes your hand once before shifting onto his back. His absence leaches all the heat from your body. Suddenly, it does feel like a damp autumn day.
You sit up, sock clad feet instinctually slipping into Felix's discarded slippers. They're too large, and you always have to remember to watch your step when you steal them, but they're so plush it's worth the caution.
There's a familiar bundle of fabric thrown over the back of the desk chair. You unzip your jacket. The cold air bites at you as you slip off the thin fabric. You grab Felix's jumper, instinctually pulling it over your head. The material engulfs you in his essence.
You shut the door behind you as you step into his bathroom. Why is something so small getting to you so much? And something that Farleigh, of all people, planted in your head. He likes to twist things until they resemble something entertaining or beneficial. We're just friends. Are you sure?
What kind of a question even is that? Obviously, you'd know if you were dating someone. Obviously, you'd know if you were dating Felix. So of course your answer was a little forced and awkward. Farleigh should have teased you about it. Instead, he looked at you oddly, eyebrows pulled together almost sympathetically, and told you he couldn't remember the last time he'd seen anyone be that close with their friends. Not even Felix.
Okay--don't think about it. What does Farleigh know about genuine, platonic friendships?
You turn on the sink. Splashing some water on your face will he--a bottle of moisturizer and face wash. Spares that you had picked up for Felix to try, go to's for you during impromptu sleepovers.
You force yourself to look up. Your reflection stares back at you, Felix's jumper sliding off your shoulder, exposing the sleeve of your shirt.
You dab water against your face before shutting off the sink. Maybe some sleep will help. You'll take your nap, and then you and Felix will wake up, and you'll see that everything's the same.
Felix is already beneath the sheets when you step out of the bathroom. You walk to the edge of the bed, sliding off his slippers before climbing into bed.
"Darling?" You hum in response before craning your neck to look at him. Felix's gaze is fixed on the ceiling. "Are y--Did something happen?" You freeze. Has Farleigh been telling other people what he told you? Did all of it circle back to Felix in some embarrassing way? "With us, I mean?"
The clarification is too small, too uncertain to fit him. You lift your head. "What?" His attention is still on what's above. "No." With a sigh, you lean forward until your chin's resting on his stomach. "Of course we're fine." He tilts his head slightly, eyes finally landing on yours. Felix is quiet for a moment, taking in your expression. Treating him differently isn't fair. "Do you think we're too close?"
His expression falters, the slight concern behind his eyes morphing into something more closed off. "You--you think we're too close?"
"No." You don't even have to think about it. Maybe that's what bothered you about what Farleigh said. You don't want to think about what should be different because you know you don't want to feel less close to him.
He doesn't ease, and you can't blame him. You place a hand on his side, smoothing your thumb up and down the fabric of his shirt. "I--just--the other day, Farleigh ran into me in the library, and we started talking and he made some comments...." Felix groans. "About how close we were, and at first, it just felt like Farleigh, and then he said a lot of people assume things and--I--"
"Who cares what other people think?" Felix shifts, his fingers tracing patterns against your back. "We're happy with how we are."
You smile, "Yeah." It's probably easy to dismiss opinions and rumors when you're someone like Felix. You decide that it's okay to borrow his worldview. "I am happy."
Felix grins, available hand moving to grab yours. He kisses your palm before placing your hand back on his side. He squeezes your hand against the space between his ribs and hip. "I'm happy, too."
You grin, angling your head downwards to press a kiss against his chest before laying down fully. Felix's knuckles run up and down your back. It's soothing, making everything else disappear long enough to let you fall asleep.
