Baby plus Comments meets Horny Boyfriend
Tumblr media
Pairing: Luke Dunphy x Girlfriend!reader
Characters: Luke Dunphy, Girlfriend!reader, Manny Delgado, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jay Pritchett, Claire Dunphy, Phil Dunphy, Haley Dunphy, Alex Dunphy, Mitchell Pritchett, Cameron Tucker, Joe Pritchett
Warnings: Fluff, boys being boys, Manny and Luke being idiots, reader being a sweetheart, characters being potentially ooc, Luke gets jealous easily, Luke is a horny little shit, Phil is still the same nonchalant dad and we love him, mentions of Phil trying to do his magic
Word Count: 404
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alex exits the room, and their comments are idiotic per usual. You glance back at the two. "You're both idiots."
Manny nearly gasps, drawing his inner Gloria energy. "I'm offended you would put me in the same category as your boyfriend."
You nearly roll your eyes. "Did either of you notice Joe was in the car with us or outside the door messing with one of your plants?"
Manny and Luke turn to one another, the latter shrugs.
"No, right? That's why Alex was saying those things, not because she's sending mixed signals, it's because your little brother slash young uncle is adorable." You smile, holding your hand out for him. "Come on, baby Joe."
You turn back towards the two once you get the youngin in your arms. "Now, if you'll excuse me, someone needs to clean himself up before his mama comes up here and sees the dirt."
Your boyfriend pouts. "Why does he get your attention?"
You glance back at Luke, "get a baby and maybe you'll be cute."
He smirks, taking a step towards you. "Oh my- Luke no. I'm not going to have a baby with you."
You two turn and see everyone's attention on your conversation. "Oh, great."
"It's not like I made everyone look at us."
You narrow your eyes at him.
"Ay, what happened to Joe?" Gloria asks, seeing how dirty her son is.
"He decided to take a deep dive into one of the plants upstairs. So, I was going to see what I could clean up before determining if he needs a bath yet or not."
"That's so nice of you, thank you."
"Mr. Dunphy?"
"How many times have I told you to call me, Phil?"
"When I'm not mad at your son, we'll talk."
"But your never not mad at him."
You thin your lips, raise your brows, and tilt your head as if to say I told you so.
He sighs, looking up at his son. "Luke?"
The teen avoids making eye contact with anyone.
"He needs to go out and do something with himself."
"Ah, I got it. He needs to practice his magic."
An evil smirk dances across your lips. "Exactly. See you, baby."
"Wait- no." His shoulders slump as your figure disappears into the bathroom.
"Really, Luke? Here of all places?" Claire shakes her head.
He shrugs, "what can I say? She's hot."
Haley and Alex roll their eyes.

Totally not writing about Tuesday on a Thursday
Masterpost wc: 674 cw: attempted mugging
“Look, dude, I have seven dollars and fourteen cents in my wallet. I know that because I had to buy lunch on campus today and I have no idea how I’m going to make seven dollars and fourteen cents last the rest of the week,” a voice said from the alley that Jason was approaching.
A voice that was becoming very familiar over meals and passing each other on the stairs.
“What’s in the fucking bag?” a different voice croaked. “Hand it over.”
“My notes from class and binders of engineering diagrams. It’s worth even less than seven fourteen. I don’t even have a working pen in there, dude, the last one exploded in my hands this afternoon. Do you see how blue my hands are? That is not natural. I hope you know that that is not natural.”
Was Danny really being mugged and talking back to the mugger? This guy was a disaster. Jason moved quietly as he approached where the alley started.
“You’re a fucking liar, hand it over!”
“Okay,” Danny said with forced calm. “Just taking the bag off…”
There was was a heavy ‘fwack’ followed by an ‘omph’ of pain and the distinctive sound of a body hitting the ground. Jason gave up being stealthy and sprinted around the corner. Hopefully the mugger hadn’t gone for anything vital. His place was stocked with first aid, they were close by, he could—
Danny’s head shot up from where he was standing, bag dangling from his hand, over the prone body of the mugger. He smiled sheepishly. “Jason, hi!”
“Don’t ‘hi’ me, Tuesday! Are you okay?” Jason asked. He nudged the mugger hard with his foot. He only got a groan in response.
“Oh, yeah. I mean I’m still broke and tired, but what else is a college student?” Danny said breezily a he shouldered his bag again. He ran a hand through his long bangs, pushing them back. “But I’m fine— he didn’t even nick me with his knife!”
“You still shouldn’t argue with a mugger like that, it’s a good way to get stabbed,” Jason said, taking Danny’s hands and checking that he hadn’t actually been slashed. Jason wouldn’t put it past Danny to hide injuries, “and you don’t want to be stabbed.”
“Yeah, it really sucks. It took me weeks to heal last time I was, I kept ripping my stitches open,” Danny said breezily.
Jason had to close his eyes and take a breath. How was this guy alive? He grabbed the knife the mugger was using, folding it up and tucking it away, before he rooted through the man’s pocket.
“Um, Jay? What are you doing?”
“Looking for his— there!” Jason pulled out the rubber banded roll of cash and tossed it at Danny who almost most fumbled the catch. It was sorta precious how he looked down at it, eyes all wide in shock.
“Call it emotional distress compensation. No way you’ll find who else he robbed and he sure doesn’t deserve it.”
Danny cocked his head, several emotions running across his face before he shrugged and shoved the cash into his bag. “Guess I get to still eat this week!”
“Tuesday,” Jason said. He reached out and tilted Danny’s head up by the chin so that their eyes met. “If you ever don’t have enough to eat, you come to me, alright?”
“I don’t want to—”
“Tuesday,” Jason said more firmly. “I like cooking. I always make extras for left overs. I won’t have anyone in the building starving— I know what that’s like. If you don’t have enough to eat or the energy to cook or anything else, you come to me. There’s always food at my place. Now be a good boy and say you understand.”
Danny blushed and nodded, his head rocking in Jason’s large hand. “I understand."
“Good boy,” Jason said with a smirk. He let his thumb brush over Danny’s cheek before he dropped his hand. “Now come on, I don’t trust you get back home in one piece.”
-----
AN: Jason continues to despair over Danny's self preservation. Danny continues to blue screen over Jason. It's been so fun to get to explore the Jason/Danny dynamic as opposed to the Red Hood/Danny! It's turning out nothing like I expected LOL For how willing Hood is to be put on his knees by a feral Danny, Jason sure enjoys taking control of this soft nerd. Idk, I'm just going with it!
Due to being shadow banned (still, ugh), I'm no longer tagging people! To be notified please go to this post and subscribe!

Two Years, Five Months, and Three Days
I have arrived with the next part of the bruise childhood friends au, only *checks notes* two months late. This is the last part before the grand finale where Jay and Cole will get together. It’s set just after the ending of 'Cause daddy doesn't love me, mommy is a god'. Warning for swearing, cross posted on ao3.
~
“This is the Monastery?” Jay asked. He shifted his duffel bag to the other shoulder and looked over at Wu, who nodded.
“It is the Monastery of Spinjitsu. This is where you will train,” he said.
“It’s so… big,” Jay said. How could such a large building be hiding up in the mountains, unnoticed by anyone? It seemed impossible, despite the evidence standing right in front of him.
“It was designed to house multiple generations of people at a time. There were nearly twenty living together at one point.”
“And now?”
Wu hummed. “Three, including you and me.”
“Sensei, there’s only two of us.”
“Three. I have another student. He’s about your age, actually,” Wu said.
“Another student? You didn’t mention that.”
“I didn’t? Well, no time like the present to meet him, then.” Wu pushed the doors open and entered, Jay following closely.
The Monastery was beautiful, Jay thought. Everything about it was bright and shiny. It didn’t seem very much like a home, though. While intricate and very complex, it was cold and impersonal as well. For something meant to house multiple families, it didn’t look lived in.
“So, where’s this other student?” Jay asked.
“Ah, he’s around here somewhere. Probably in his room. You’ll come across him eventually.”
“Okay.”
Wu looked at Jay critically. “You must be tired from your journey,” he said. “Take any one of the empty rooms and rest. You can start training some other day.”
Jay was too tired to argue. Any excitement at being able to be a real life superhero had drained out hours ago, replaced with a bone-deep exhaustion. He took the first room on the left, thankful when it wasn’t occupied, and threw his bags on the floor. He’d unpack tomorrow, probably. And if not then, then definitely by the end of the week.
The room was rather plain. Off-white painted walls, a wooden door and window frame, simple furniture and bed. It gave the impression of a model room in some house showing.
Jay lay down on the bed, arms folded over his stomach. He should explore this place, figure out the layout. He’d need to know where the bathroom was, at the very least. But he also didn’t want to get up, not when he’d just gotten comfortable. Ugh. Sighing, Jay peeled himself off the floor and went down the hall, opening and closing doors as he passed.
On the fifth door he opened, he found what must have been the other student’s room. The walls were an eggshell white, much like Jay’s, but it was decorated. He could see a calendar, among other things, lining the walls. The bed was neatly made with a black comforter and pillows.
Jay closed the door. It wasn’t polite to be snooping in some stranger’s room, especially if said stranger was going to be his roommate-slash-vigilante-partner. First impressions had to be good, after all. He continued down the hall to find that it split into two. This entire building was practically a maze. And it seemed to be bigger on the inside. How did that even work?
“Ehhh, screw it,” Jay sighed. He picked the hall on the right, because ‘the right is always right,’ or something like that, and promptly got lost.
“This place is a freaking maze,” he groaned. “I’m gonna get lost and die from dehydration and hunger.”
“It’s not nearly that bad,” a voice said quietly. Jay spun around, nearly knocking the newcomer in the stomach, and locked eyes with a ghost.
Well, not a literal ghost, but close enough, for Cole Hence-Brookstone himself was standing in front of him. The same Cole who’d mysteriously disappeared two years ago. The same Cole who Jay had presumed dead.
Jay choked. “Cole?” His voice had an unfortunate resemblance to a cat coughing up a hairball.
Cole looked just as shocked as Jay felt. “Jay? What are you doing here? How are you here?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” Jay growled. He hadn’t seen Cole in years — not since they were eleven, back when Cole got sent to boarding school. They hadn’t kept contact, for whatever reason, and the last Jay had heard from him was a short letter. It had come out of nowhere, after nearly a year of radio silence, in which Cole’d said he was ‘leaving’ and didn’t know if he’d be back.
“Sensei Wu is training me,” Cole lifted his chin. “I’m guessing you’re his new student.”
“Got it in one,” Jay said. He glared at Cole a little more, as if doing that would make him explain the past few years.
“Look, Jay, I know that our last conversation was awkward, but—“
“Just shut up. I don’t want to hear it,” Jay shook his head. “You left, Cole. Just a shitty letter and nothing else. What is there to talk about?”
Cole looked down at the floor and picked at his nails. Vaguely, Jay could remember Cole having that habit even when they were kids.
“I didn’t want to hurt you,” Cole said quietly.
“Mission failed, then. A big fat zero-out-of-ten.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Whatever,” Jay said.
Cole nodded. He took a step past Jay. “See you during training then, or something.”
“Uh huh.”
“Okay,” Cole left, leaving Jay standing alone in the blank hallway.
~
Cole had fucked up. He’d fucked up so badly that he could never recover. How could Jay of all people be in the Monastery, with him, training to fight the forces of darkness? The universe was playing a cosmic joke on him.
Cole had missed Jay, of course he had. Jay was his first and only friend. He’d thought he was doing the right thing when he sent that letter to Jay, saying sorry for everything. He had never been a good friend to Jay, and he’d thought that Jay would be better off without him.
He probably had been, really.
But now they had no choice but to work together. Sensei Wu had explained that himself, said that he couldn’t just choose just anyone to be trained; it had to be specific people with the potential. And Jay must have the potential, since he was here in this building, his room only three doors down from Cole’s.
Cole hit the punching bag a little harder, nearly snapping the chain off. In any other case, he’d be sulking in his room, but Wu had drilled into his head that training was too important to miss. So he was standing in the training room, hoping to the First Master that Jay didn’t come in.
That was unlikely, though, Cole mused. They’d both avoided each other like the plague for the past two weeks. Wu hadn’t picked up on the awkwardness between them, at least not yet, but it was only a matter of time. Then he’d force them to work out their problems and be civil. The only times Cole even saw Jay was at dinner, during which they never talked.
He wished they would talk, though. It was suffocating to have his former best friend right there and not be getting along. Cole deserved it, he supposed, but he missed when they were kids. When they’d just talk and play games together, not a care in the world.
Cole hit the punching bag again. His knuckles were starting to hurt, sore and bleeding. Little droplets of red ran down his fingers. He must have been punching harder than he’d thought.
Wu would kill him if he didn’t take care of his injuries. Cole made his way to the sink, running his hands under the water until it ran clear. Then he put ointment on the wounds.
His hands were still visibly hurt. He could hear his mom chiding him, a voice in his head telling him to take better care of himself. “You need to be careful, Pumpkin,” she used to say. “I won’t always be around to help you.”
And she hadn’t, because Mom had died when Cole was just barely eleven. It still hurt to think of. Cole blinked back the tears — he refused to cry. Crying was something that got you beaten up and made fun of.
A cough and the sound of someone clearing their throat, and then a freckled face with reddish hair was in his vision, patting Cole on the shoulder.
“You okay, Cole?” Jay asked awkwardly. He was taller, now, Cole thought. Probably a good few inches taller than Cole.
“I— yeah,” Cole said.
“Um, okay, then,” Jay mumbled. He looked down at his feet. “See you at dinner.”
“Yeah,” Cole nodded. He watched Jay exit, then turned back to the mirror. His eyes weren’t too red and puffy, thankfully. Small mercies.
Why had Jay even bothered talking to Cole? He’d made it pretty clear that they weren’t friends. Did it mean he didn’t hate Cole? Was he trying to say that he didn’t quite forgive Cole, but was willing to be civil? Or maybe it was just because anyone would have done that, made sure another person was okay.
Why did people have to be so complicated? Stupid emotions and relationships. It must be the last option, Cole decided. They weren’t friends, no, but maybe they were acquaintances. He could work with that. Just two people who happened to be coworkers. That was more than acceptable.
~
Jay buried his face in his pillow and wondered if the world would make sense after banging his head on the headboard a few more times. It didn’t.
Jason Edward Gordon, you are the most socially awkward person on this side of Ninjago, he told himself. “You okay?” He’d asked Cole. Who even said that? It was very clear Cole had not been okay.
Jay groaned and tried to organise his thoughts. First thought, he was terrible at comforting people. He’d just left without even giving Cole a tissue. Second thought, he apparently did not hate Cole, no matter how much he wanted to. Third thought, his life was a mess and he was officially an idiot.
Hmmm. Not very organised at all. Jay hated emotions.
Should he go talk to Cole? He probably should. But the awkwardness alone would kill him. Jay resisted the urge to scream and just never come out of his room again.
Jay buried his face in the pillows again.
~
Dinner was… awkward, to say the least. Jay and Cole sat on opposite sides of the table and avoided talking. Wu served rice and some kind of fish, miraculously oblivious to the tension in the air.
“You two should start sparring tomorrow,” Wu said cheerfully. “I’m sure that Cole can teach you, Jay.”
“I— yeah,” Cole muttered. “Sure.”
“Sounds great,” Jay mumbled.
“I have to go collect the next member of your team soon, so you’re going to be alone for the next week or so. Dark forces are rising and we need as much help as we can get,” Wu continued.
“But Jay’s barely even started proper training,” Cole said.
“You can teach him, as I said earlier. You’re more than capable.”
“Mhm.”
“Are you sure I can’t learn from you, Sensei?” Jay laughed, perhaps a bit maniacally. He must have sounded like a crazy person.
“You will. Once I return with your teammate.”
“Ah.”
“There’s food in the freezer. Only Jay is allowed to reheat it.”
Cole made a face. “Why can’t I?”
“Because you set water on fire and I don’t want the Monastery burning down.”
Cole went back to his food, muttering about how he was perfectly able to cook. Jay doubted that, memories of burnt cookies and undercooked chicken in his mind.
“I’ll be going by tomorrow morning. Don’t leave the Monastery under any conditions,” Wu stood. “I have to rest for the night. You boys finish dinner on your own.”
“Yes, Sensei.”
Cole got up immediately after Wu left, collecting his plates and heading for the sink. He didn’t look at Jay, just washed the dishes and left. So Jay ended up sitting alone while he finished his dinner, poking at the vegetables and wondering why Sensei didn’t believe in seasoning. And also wondering how he was going to get through the next week, all alone with Cole.
There was no way he was going to survive the week.
~
Cole got up at exactly six in the morning, brushed his teeth, and made himself cereal for breakfast. Then he went to the training grounds and went through the obstacle course again.
Jay didn’t pull himself out of bed until nine — Sensei would have killed him for that. Cole chose not to say anything, though, just watched him go through the forms Wu had taught.
Your arms are too stiff,” Cole said quietly. He gestured to Jay’s position. “You need to relax a bit more.”
“Oh, yeah. Okay,” Jay flushed.
“That’s better,” Cole nodded. “You’re, um, doing good.”
“Thanks.”
Cole stood near Jay fur a few more minutes, making sure that he was doing the exercises properly, until Jay coughed and cleared his throat. “You can go do your own thing. I’m doing fine on my own.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay,” Cole mumbled. Was he blushing? He was probably blushing.
“Thanks, though.”
Cole went back to the obstacle course. He’d talk to Jay later, hopefully.
~
Lunch was a silent affair, both Cole and Jay picking at last night’s leftovers. They didn’t bother talking — Jay went to the microwave and heated the food up, then they ate. Cole was just thankful that Jay wasn’t glaring at him anymore. Awkward silence was much better than anger.
“Wonder when Sensei will be back?” Cole asked, in an attempt to lighten the mood.
“Soon, hopefully. I don’t think we could survive without him.”
“Yeah, probably not. I mean, I still can’t cook. He won’t even let me in the kitchen!”
Jay actually laughed at that. “I can’t either! The housekeeper wouldn’t let me!”
“Not even to make like, microwave soup or something?”
“Bold of you to assume we had microwave meals. Dad — Cliff is still the crunchy all-natural granola mom he’s always been.”
“Can’t be worse than cafeteria food,” Cole joked. He didn’t mention Jay calling his father by his first name. They’d always had a complicated relationship.
“I don’t know, I’d rather have chicken nuggets than quinoa and plain lettuce.”
“Yeah, quinoa is pretty gross.”
“No mention on the plain lettuce?”
“Salads exist, Jay.”
“But— but those have like, dressing and croutons and stuff!”
“You’ve seen what they serve at certain restaurants,” Cole said.
Jay shuddered at the memory. “We agreed to never speak of that.”
“We did, didn’t we.”
The mood returned to the stifling awkwardness and discomfort that it had earlier. Cole stared down at his food and sighed. Jay shuffled and picked at his rice. Neither of them looked at each other.
“I’m sorry for ignoring you, before? I don’t really know why I did that,” Jay mumbled.
“I should be saying sorry, Jay,” Cole said. “I left you. Just sent a letter and pretended like you didn’t exist.”
“Yeah, but I should have talked to you. Reached out myself, instead of waiting.”
“I did want to, you know. Keep being friends. I just figured you’d be better off with someone else,” Cole admitted. “That’s not much of an excuse, though.”
“You were my first and only friend. I wouldn’t have wanted someone else.”
“I ignored you, and after that I thought there was no way of making up. So I left and hoped that that would solve my problems.”
“You just needed to ask to talk again,” Jay said. “I was never angry in the first place.”
“You weren’t?”
“No. I told you that last time we saw each other, before the whole ninja gig.”
“Maybe I just don’t listen well.”
“You idiot,” Jay smacked Cole on the hand.
“First Master, when did we end up being so awkward around each other? We used to be so close,” Cole laughed bitterly.
“Probably when your dad shipped you off to the other side of the continent,” Jay said dryly.
Cole scoffed. “Pretty sure it was earlier than that.”
“Well, somewhere around that time.”
“You’re not mad, anymore?”
“Nah. If I was mad, I’d be screaming and flipping the table.”
“Its solid wood. Doubtful that it could even be shifted, much less flipped.”
“I still think I could,” Jay joked. “Just one swift kick and it goes toppling over.”
Cole laughed. “Other way around, Jay.”
“The table’s going to kick me?”
“You know what I meant.”
“I want to spar,” Jay declared. He hopped off the chair and dragged Cole towards the door. “You’re going to teach me all the cool ninja moves you’ve been learning.”
“I could beat you within ten seconds.”
“Then prove it, rocks-for-brains,” Jay taunted. “Loser has to wash the dishes.”
“You’re going to smell like dish soap for days.”
“Perhaps.”
“Then come on!” They walked out the doors to the training yard, hand in hand.
~
“Wu totally left early so that we’d make up, didn’t he.”
“Oh, yeah. Absolutely.”

— 🎻 : what is a fun scenario you have scripted and you excited for? (be detailed:))
yayayay ty for the ask,, sryy i took so long to respond lololol i actually dont script a lot of scenarios but i do write down the vivid dreams i have as scenarios,,, which i guess count,,, okay im putting this under a cut i forgot how much of a yapper i am
most of my scenerios are PURELY for the bit..... because my dreams are stupid... except for the ones thet arent bits that i will not be sharing becuase when its not slash jay its slash ess are ess
theres this scenario,, it needs a bit of background,,, im an international transfer student hosting with lila bc shes also a transfer student yk..... we pretend to be siblings for the bit. everything is for the bit. IT WAS NEVER THAT SERIOUS... like sometimes shes like "do you wanna lie and say this together" ill just be like "YES OMG YESSS" if it isnt something too crazy,, like if im not in relationship drama ill be a problem everywhere else.. LOLOL JK YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN (also i feel like its important to say that NO ONE in this dr is a crazy irredeemable BITCH bc i thought it was weird that all the crazy irredeemable BITCHES were high school girls... and then gabriel)
in this dream dream marinete had called us out for not being related and it was like a huge thing and i was DEEPLY UPSET about the joke not being funny anymore because of her (which tbh real) and this was like,, right before the style queen episode where like,, the fashion show happens right??
okay i scripted im a model because OF COURSE I DID!!! I MEAN JEEZ MAN IM NOT JUST GONNA BE SOME RANDOM BLOKE IN PARIS WHOS ONLY DEFINING FEATURE IS A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES,,, so i would have to attend the fashion show,, but like i didnt wanna go,, for several reasons ,,,
so then me n her (mostly her) came up with like the stupidest idea,,,
she came to school super excited and was talking about how her brother was visiting from germany (?? i cant remember) (this happened months ago sue me) for the fashion show,,, and convinced everyone WE were faking being siblings but her "REAL" brother was coming soon but she "never talks about him because hes old" and i instantly start doubling down on this like "OH YEAH HIM??? HE HATES ME!! HES THE WORST UGH HES A BIG GROUCH BLAH BLAH BLAH I HATE LILAS totally real OLDER BROTHER" and over the week lila is styling one of her old wigs for me and meanwhile im ordering like a bunch of clothes ive never worn before and custom shoes to make me look taller and everything and were brainstorming fake names and backstory details and everything fashion show rolls around, i call in last minute to tell gabe i broke my fingers or got sick or something and wasnt fit for the runway blah blah blah,, i get dressed, get like,, makeup to change my ENTIRE FACE even that wax you put on your nose to change its shape..... i have contacts in and our hair (wigs cough cough) are similar colours and im like 6 foot something i look like a WHOLE NEW PERSON.
and then we just go there and mess around lololol... OBVIOUSLY SOMEONEEEE NOT GONNA NAME NAMES marinetteCOUGH COUGH had to sus me out and start prodding but we like DOUBLED DOWN SO HARD. acting like i didnt know anybody the whole time...
I lied about being a child movie star before going into academics, i whipped out some german (because who DOSENT script they know 4 languages MINIMUM) i was SHIT TALKING myself in the third person like any time anyone was like "omg where is chimera theyre not on the runway and not responding to texts omg" i would just be like "OHHHHH MI GAWDDDD BE HAPPY THEYRE NOT HERE!!! SO ANOYING,,, SUCH A SAD LOSER UGGGGGHHH"
i even went as far as to change how my miraculosu looks when disguised so i could keep it around lololol,, LIKE I WENT FULL EVIL BITCH MODE HERE JUST LYINGGG LIKE I EVEN BOUGHT A NEW PHONE SO NO ONE WOULD SEE MY UGLY FLIP PHONE IN MY BAG
all this just to do a little trolling
idk why my dream cooked this up but it was lowkey really fun so i scripted it in as a scenario SORRY FOR THE YAPPING I KNOW THIS DOESNT MAKE MUCH SENSE maybe ill post a cleaned up version some time once i get to it,,, or a story time if i ever actually experience this first hand in the near future,,,,

if  i  removed  the  disney  filter  then  d2  and  d3  would  look  like
random  d2  divergences / hcs :
harry  knocked  ben  out,  gil  carried  ben  back  to  the  lost  revenge  while  harry  delivered  the  message  to  c3  for  mal  to  meet  uma  at  the  chip  shop
he  spent  the  rest  of  uma’s  night  shift  on  the  lost  revenge  tormenting  guarding  ben
the  whole  swords  and  shields  team  went  to  the  isle  to  save  ben
why?  because  the  c4  needed  the  numbers,  and  you  can’t  tell  me  that  the  s&s  team  weren’t  incredibly  close  to  ben,  and  because  the  s&s  team  were  as  desperate  as  lonnie  to  prove  their  worth  in  a  real  fight
also  lonnie  fighting  alongside  the  whole  team  in  a  real  fight  would  have  had  the  whole  team  back  her  as  captain  and  respect  her  the  same  way  that  mulan  did  with  yao,  ling,  and  chien  po,  which  is  a  cool  parallel  to  make
in  the  fight  during  it’s  going  down,  there  are  deaths  on  both  sides,  the  c4  and  the  sea3  do  not  escape  the  fight  unscathed
lonnie  and  uma  have  the  highest  body  counts  by  the  end  of  the  fight  with  2 - 2,  i  can  see  harry  skewering  one  of  the  s&s  members  before  the  auradon  side  escapes  the  docks  and  one  s&s  member  and  two  pirates  later  succumbs  to  their  wounds  after  the  fight
( which  means  the  3  doa  s&s  members  are  left  behind  on  the  isle,  their  bodies  are  not  recovered  and  the  wounded  s&s  member  dies  in  the  limo  before  they  go  through  the  barrier )
( whereas  the  2  wounded  pirates  die  during  the  cotillion  riots  or  to  infection  and  lack  of  medical  supplies )
main  reason  for  the  s&s  team  losing  more  members  than  the  pirates  in  the  initial  battle  is  that  the  pirates  have  been  fighting  real  life  or  death  battles  their  whole  lives,  they’re  going  to  be  more  brutal,  more  merciless,  and  there  will  be  no  hesitation  when  it  comes  to  making  a  killing  blow
personally,  i  like  the  concept  of  jay  and  carlos  being  responsible  for  the  2  dead  pirates  but  it  could  easily  have  been  mal  or  one  of  the  other  s&s  members.  i  can’t  see  evie  being  a  killer  so  while  she  won  her  fight  with  jonas,  i  don’t  think  she  would  have  killed him  or  anyone  else,  the  same  goes  for  ben.  he  wants  to  build  bridges,  compromise,  he  wants  there  to  be  a  future  between  uma  and  her  pirates,  and  auradon  and  i  think  he  would  believe  that  it  wouldn’t  be  impossible  if  he  killed  one  of  uma’s  pirates
uma  used  her  own  magic  to  spell  ben,  not  mal’s  book
random  d3  divergences / hc :
harry  and  the  lost  revenge  timed  how  long  the  barrier  remained  open  after  someone  used  the  auradon  remote
stealing  the  c4′s  bikes  was  planned  so  that  the  c4  would  be  forced  to  walk,  therefore  leaving  the  barrier  open  long  enough  for  harry  and  gil  to  get  through
the  initial  plan  was  to  escape  the  isle,  find  uma,  find  a  way  to  bring  the  barrier  down  but  obviously,  uma  found  them  first
harry  and  jay  actually  fought  each  other  in  the  gardens.  it  was  very  violent.
the  knight  armor  battle  was  extremely  brutal.  harry  lost  his  left  hand  during  the  fight  and  i  would  think  that  the  others  were  also  grievously  wounded  before  mal  and  uma  are  able  to  utilize  their  combined  magic  to  crush  the  armored  knights
uma  and  mal  then  heal  their  respective  friends / team  using  their  magic,  so  harry  doesn’t  lose  his  hand  permanently,  it’s  just  for  the  parallels,  the  vibes,  the  throw  away  reference  to  his  dad
harry  and  gil  agree  to  help  find  ben  only  because  uma  asks  them  to.  harry  hopes  to  have  ben  owe  him  a  favor  for  it.
harry  gets  very  annoyed  and  jealous  when  gil  and  jay  appear  to  bond / become  friendly  with  one  another
when  they  encounter  beast!ben,  jay  get’s  badly  slashed  when  he  saves  harry.  gil,  harry,  and  carlos  come  together  to  protect  jay,  who  is  too  wounded  to  move,  from  a  cursed  ben
carlos  is  the  only  one  who  manages  to  get  through  to  ben  long  enough  for  jane  to  appear  with  the  enchanted  lake  water,  weakening  the  curse  enough  for  ben  to  retain  his  mind  and  awareness  but  it  isn’t  enough  to  turn  him  back  into  a  human
with  jane’s  help  they’re  able  to  slightly  heal  jay’s  wounds  but  not  enough  for  him  to  move  on  his  own.  harry  and  gil  build  a  stretcher,  ben  carries  it,  and  they  make  their  way  back  to  evie’s  start  up  castle.  harry  thanks  jay  for  saving  him.
when  they  reach  the  castle,  mal  and  uma  are  able  to  heal  jay  completely.  they  all  go  to  flora,  fauna,  and  merryweather’s  cottage  to  find  audrey.  instead  they  find  chad.
mal  is  forced  to  come  clean  about  closing  the  barrier  forever  when  uma  brings  up  her  promise  to  free  all  the  vks
celia  still  takes  the  ember  and  tarnishes  it  with  water.  uma  and  harry  leave  for  the  isle,  intent  at  finding  a  way  to  lower  it  and  help  the  pirates  and  vks  escape
when  mal  finds  them  to  get  help,  they  reject  her  but  celia’s  capture  forces  uma  to  help  mal  while  harry  climbs  the  tower  to  get  celia  out  of  danger
once  the  scepter  is  destroyed  and  audrey  is  cursed  to  sleep,  uma,  harry,  and  celia  return  to  audrey’s  dorm  with  the  others
uma,  harry,  gil,  and  celia  return  to  the  isle.  harry  orders  the  twins  to  stay  in  auradon  with  dizzy  ( and  to  prank  the  c4  as  often  as  they  can )
2  months  go  past  before  mal  and  ben  bring  the  barrier  down,  in  that  time,  uma  was  voted  in  as  captain  once  again  and  her  and  the  lost  revenge  crew  conquered  the  entire  east  coast  of  the  isle  and  uma  has  been  hailed  the  pirate  king
in  general,  the  isle  is  split  into  districts  or  territories  which  are  led  and  governed  by  faction  and  gang  leaders.  these  leaders  come  together  to  establish  a  general  law  and  order  and  uma  becomes  the  reigning  leader  over  them  all
on  the  isle,  uma  is  recognized  as  king  ( non gendered specific ),  in  auradon  she’s  recognized  as  the  isle’s  ambassador and  senior  advisor
mal  is  not  the  queen  of  the  isle  come  on  now

So I was being a basic bitch the other day and listening to my true crime podcasts when it occurred to me just how suspicious Nile’s “death” would look to everyone not in the Guard, leading me to a train of thought that, 2200 words later, absolutely got away from me but I can’t let go so I’m inflicting it on all of you!
To set the stage, we know the movie takes place over approximately a week. Here’s what happens to Nile from the military’s point of view:
She dies is very seriously injured
She heals without a scratch
Just before she’s supposed to be shipped out to Germany, she vanishes, leaving two men concussed (and presumably reporting being knocked out by a woman with short hair wearing civilian clothes)
She goes AWOL for several days
They get word from the CIA that she is to be reported killed in action (details unclear)
So, at the beginning of this very weird week, the USMC has to tell Nile’s family of her death critical injury. What her family was told depends on how long she was dead – a Google search tells me that family will be notified in person within 8 hours of a soldier’s death, but we don’t know how long her first death lasted. For an injury, however, they’d get a phone call to notify them and the unit would arrange for them to visit as soon as the soldier is transferred out of a combat zone. Like I remember when I was in high school, a guy from my church who was a Marine was really seriously injured in a helicopter crash in Iraq and from what I could tell, his parents were told immediately and were flown out to Germany to see him, so it stands to reason that Nile’s family would have been informed relatively quickly after her throat was slashed, one way or another.
And then, she goes AWOL. Her family would be notified while the USMC tried to figure out where she went, not least because the military would want to know if she’s contacted them. (And it’s possible that her family may have been on the way to Germany to see her since we know that’s where she was supposed to go!) So for several days:
Nile’s mom and brother have no idea where she is
They know she was seriously injured and most certainly should not have been moving around on her own
They can’t get a hold of her
The military can’t tell them anything
And the next thing they know for sure is that she was “killed in action.” After being injured and vanishing into thin air. And they presumably cannot produce her body or any concrete evidence of her death. In any case, something sketchy is going on, so they’re like. SMELLS LIKE A MILITARY COVERUP.
In a surprise to probably no one, there is a well-documented legacy of mysterious US military deaths, particularly of women of color (TW for sexual assault in these links). The cases of LaVena Johnson and Vanessa Guillenin particular have made national news because of their families’ persistence in seeking justice. Likewise, Nile is a Black woman, and her mom and brother are most certainly hypercognizant of (a) state violence against Black people and (b) these high-profile cases of suspicious military deaths. So her family are seriously side-eyeing the situation, knowing that (a) the military has a serious incentive (and a documented history) of covering up things that make them look bad and (b) nothing about Nile’s disappearance and supposed death are adding up.
And Andy’s right. Nile does come from warriors. And you know who else does? Her brother.
Don’t get me wrong. Nile’s mom would absolutely not back down. She’d know something was up and want to get to the bottom of it. But based on what I know about Gen X parents (mine), they’re not the most technologically savvy. Like they can use the internet, but they didn’t grow up with it the way we young millennials and Gen Z did. So Nile’s brother takes the lead. And what do zillennials do best?
Social media.
Nile’s brother starts going hard on any site he can, trying to get the word out to see if anyone knows what happened to his sister. He starts a Reddit thread. He starts a Facebook group. He reaches out to the media and true crime bloggers and podcasters à la Sarah Turney, getting loud and being a general nuisance in hopes of getting some answers. He gets his friends and Nile’s friends involved. Maybe eventually Dizzy, Jay, and others from Nile’s unit hear about it and reach out, telling him what they saw and how weird it all was. He’s drumming up interest, and soon “Nile Freeman” becomes a household name (at least among the true crime fans).
Copley is, of course, trying his best, but at this point there is just so much that it’s impossible for him to scrub everything. Sure, he can erase new footage of Nile and the Guard, but what can he do about Reddit threads and podcast episodes that are speculating something weird has happened? Maybe he could hack the sites and shut those things down, but honestly, that’s the last thing he’d want to do, because that only adds weight to the theory that Nile’s disappearance is a military coverup. So eventually he has to tell Andy what’s going on.
Andy, obviously, does not take the news well. However, she is also completely computer illiterate, because that’s Booker’s job and he’s the only one who ever bothered to learn what the internet is in any meaningful way. (She probably calls Booker for advice, and for the record, I think Booker would have no qualms about shutting down conspiracy threads, tinhats be damned, but Copley is too concerned about the consequences. He’s ex-CIA for crying out loud, he knows how it’ll look if they scrub every mention of Nile’s name from the internet.) Maybe she confers with Joe and Nicky but, let’s be honest, they’d be equally unhelpful. So at this point, she knows they have to bring in Nile.
But the thing about Nile is that she, too, knows how to use the internet (duh). Aside from her being a young millennial/digital native, we know from the cave scene where she’s giving Booker suggestions on how to track Copley that she clearly is even more computer savvy than the average person. And for that reason she almost definitely took over the day-to-day tech stuff after Booker’s exile. So I think it would be foolish to expect her to be unaware of what’s happening. She’s not contacting her family or posting on the message boards or anything, but she knows what’s up. So Copley and the team probably sit her down to “break the news,” but we know the girl does not have a poker face (see: literally shooting herself in the foot and not being able to play it cool whatsoever) and cracks immediately, telling them she’s seen everything about her case – she’s not interacting with any of it, she certainly didn’t instigate anything, but she knows. (And she is so goddamn proud of her brother.)
At this point, I’d like to pause and consider Nile’s role in the overall narrative of this movie. She’s set up as a foil to Andy, obviously, but she’s also a foil to Booker. Booker, who, like Andy, is a serious pessimist, but who, unlike Andy, still has very fresh memories and trauma associated with being the new kid, which have destroyed him. In his mind (and Andy’s), if Nile communicates with her family, she’ll become just like him in a century or two – bitter, alone, and stuck with her grief and memories of watching her family die and knowing they died resenting her. It’s a small sample size, but this is the only experience they have to go off of.
But it doesn’t have to be like that.
There’s been a lot of discussion of TOG being a fundamentally queer movie – a group of people brought together because of something inherent about themselves that is different, that must be hidden, that causes others to hate, fear, and reject them. Booker’s backstory is the archetypal traumatic “coming out” story – his family learns who he is, hate him for it, and attempt to cast him out of their lives. He’s stuck with his trauma, his pain, his loss, and it consumes him.
But what if Nile’s family would be the opposite? What if her “coming out” to them as immortal is met with acceptance, love, celebration? What if her family is just overjoyed to have her back, and they don’t care what the circumstances are? I'm reminded of this incredible post from @shitty-old-guard-deaths a while back, where Nile’s mother hits Booker with a frying pan because “my baby let me believe she was dead for FIVE YEARS based on your bad advice???” (which may or may not have inspired this whole tangent). Nile takes the advice of someone who did the same thing she wants to do because she doesn’t want to risk her family’s rejection. She wants the good memories with her family and is afraid that showing them her true self will bring her unbearable pain, forever replacing those memories. But, with high risk comes high reward.
Anyway. Nile and the team are trying to come up with a plan for how to handle this whole thing, but she’s not really participating because she’s too afraid to hope. Until finally, quickly, so she doesn’t lose her nerve, she suggests she reach out to them, knowing that, realistically, that’s the only solution before things snowball even further out of control. The team is shocked, but realize that she has a point. They decide that Copley should actually be the first point of contact, posing as a US government official to talk with them and test the waters.
So Copley goes to Nile’s family’s house to talk with her mom and brother. They’re probably distrustful and apprehensive, but nonetheless secretly ecstatic that their work has paid off. They talk and review all of the information that they’ve collected, including testimonials from the people on Nile’s base and recent sightings (along with photos) of Nile (with the same three people) over the last few years that people have sent them but they haven’t posted publicly. At this point, Copley’s like, yeah this is about to blow up, we gotta put our cards on the table. He convinces them to come with him to some safe house/black site/whatever he can get that is technologically impenetrable (I’m picturing them in like, an interrogation room at a police station kind of deal), takes their phones, locks the doors, and brings in Nile.
What follows is the most delightful reunion scene of all time, bringing Joe, Nicky, and even Andy to tears as they watch and listen from outside the room. With Copley’s help, Nile tells her mom and brother about her immortality and what’s been going on since she died (within reason, of course), and they are thrilled. They don’t understand why (because no one does) but they don’t question it and they see it as a gift from God – she’s been resurrected, she will live, and she has a purpose. Her mother and brother are so happy to see her again and are willing to agree with pretty much anything to stay in her life as long as they can.
So. They set up some complicated agreement (they bring in the other three for support/intimidation as needed) setting the terms of their relationship. They swear Nile’s family to secrecy, maybe bringing up the lab to show how high the stakes are, and they readily agree. They come up with some cover story for Nile’s brother to share on the message boards (maybe that the government has opened an investigation but because it’s an open case he has to shut it all down? Tells people to direct their tips somewhere else? Something to that effect). There’s still speculation, of course, but without Nile’s brother at the helm providing the energy, the hype dies down as news stories are wont to do without any movement. And Nile’s family goes to work for the team. The experience has taught them that Copley can’t possibly do everything himself, especially when it comes to social media, so Nile’s brother takes the lead on the day-to-day tracking/social media while Copley and her mom focus on finding jobs and scrubbing their traces afterward.
So there you have it: Nile gets to integrate her biological family into her found family and spend the rest of their lives with them as it should be, Copley gets some badly needed help managing the reality of social media, the team finally has a positive narrative surrounding outsiders Knowing About Them AND about interacting with people from their previous life, and the audience gets the happy ending to this very lovely and very queer story to counteract the pain associated with Booker’s family.
Plus, you know, I’m a sucker for both a good government conspiracy theory and for Nile getting every good thing she deserves.

Chapter 8: The Return Of Dog Days
“Oh. Come on. I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours,” you said in a sickly sweet tone that weakened him. “Pleaseee.”
Javier sighed, deep enough for you to hear on the other line. A front to save face - to at least appear like he put up a fight.
“Fine,” he grumbled with feigned annoyance. Of course you hummed with pride. “Mine’s that I’m stranded on an island.”
His hesitation to share probably led you astray; you probably expected some crazy fantasy or one where he showed up to work naked. Instead you got him fully clothed, washed up on the shore - the same dream he experienced at least once a year since he was 9.
“Okay…and?”
“And…what?”
“Give me some details. Tell me how you get there? What’s the island look like? Are there animals? I need a lot more than, I’m stranded, if I’m telling you mine.”
Even though the last thing he needed or really even wanted was to dive in for a deeper meaning - your dream peaked his curiosity.
He decided to play along. “There’s no backstory - it’s a dream.”
“Then, tell me what the island looks like?”
“Bare. Just sand. Some grass”
You hummed like you were Sigmund Freud.
“So, it’s always the same?” You’re stalling; there’s no way you’re invested in this.
“Yes-”
“What do you do on the island?”
“Walk around,” He paused. Holding onto some odd hope that would satisfy you - of course it didn’t. He rolled his eyes. “I try to find a way off, but can’t. Now, it’s your turn,” he said before you can ask another question. That was enough for him tonight.
“First. You gotta promise not to laugh,” you said. The serious tone made him sit up a little straighter.
“Yeah. I promise.”
For a minute, the only noise that came from the other end was the echoing of the commercial - the Taco Bell one with the chihuahua you love so much. Javier decided during the moment of silence to thank Jay Leno for his headline segment that brought this topic about.
“Oh man,” you nervously giggled. “I can’t believe I’m telling you this. I’ve never told anyone about this.”
“Well, you don’t have to, if you-”
“No. No. I’m just being dramatic,” you exhaled. “Okay. So. I wake up in this pure white bedroom, on this canopy bed with sheer curtains. Very It’s All Coming Back to Me Now esque. At the foot of the bed, is this guy.”
Despite there being two ways that this dream could go, Javier’s mind ran rampant in one direction. The dark corner he tried to ignore when it came to you was enveloping his occipital lobe with lewd images. All the various scenarios chipped away at his rock-solid restraint - faster than it had months ago during his last encounter with Victoria.
“Well, I guess he’s not really a guy - well, he’s not human. At least not completely. He’s tall, like really tall. And has these paw-hands.”
All the blood in his brain was flowing down to his cock. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to will himself to calm down - but you just kept going about the wolf fucker.
“- He lunges. Crawls on top-”
His breath stuck to the walls of his throat. Knuckles turning white as he twisted the tenting duvet.
“-he brings his claws up, and-“ That heavenly giggle you let out made his cock twitch.
“-he slashes my clothes off.” Suddenly, the muscles in his neck gave out. His head slammed against the headboard with a loud thump.
“What was that?” you asked, voice shifting from a playful tease to full on concern. He bit his lip to keep the pain-horny hybrid groan at bay. “Javi? Are you alright?”
“Yeah,” his voice was sinfully deep - tainted with lust. “The - the remote fell. Go on.” Any discomfort from the budding goose egg was temporarily numbed by the ache in his groin.
“Oh…well,” you said - unconvinced. “Umm…That’s it. I wake up.”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. This was a new low. It wasn’t like he was some virgin. He was Javier Peña - a man that could go for hours. How did he just get blue-balled by a monster fucking dream? No, he wouldn’t let the wolf-man win. He needed to fight through this - he could do it.
Just then, his cock twitched with a counter argument. Rubbing perfectly along the seam of his boxers. His eyes rolled back. He knew if he didn’t relieve the friction, he was going to be borderline edging himself the rest of the call.
He gulped when he pulled back the covers. Light blue cotton bulging with a sticky dark circle. Ever so carefully, he hooked his thumb along the elastic and tilted up. Pre-cum leaked from the angry tip - practically begging for him to touch.
“Is that weird?” His cock pulsed at the sound of your voice. His hand retreated. The elastic snapped back, causing him to choke on his breath.
“No,” he said, “No. It’s not weird.”
“Are you sure you’re alright? Your voice sounds funny.”
No. He was not fucking alright. His cock was furious, his boxers sticking to him. And his voice sounded like he just ran a marathon with laryngitis. If he wanted to keep his pride intact, he needed this call to end.
“I’m fine, just tired. Been a long day.”
“You sure?”
He knew his wandering mind was to blame for the insecurity tainting your voice. The last thing he wanted was you losing sleep over this. For you to worry that he was weirded out. He grappled his last remaining bit of strength, his hand glided along his belly to soothe his cock with a promise of soon.
“Took a melatonin, think it’s startin’ to hit me,” he forced a yawn, making his voice sound sleepy, “But, we’re still on for tomorrow, right?” He reckoned his best bet in assuring you was resolidyfing the plans for that damn mall trip - he really needed to learn how to say no to you.
“Yeah,” you chipped back - he sighed in relief, “Noon work, okay?”
He glided past his belly button, his body curled inward at the proximity.
“Uh-huh, I’ll pick you up. Okay?”
“Okay. Night Javi.”
“Night.”
The phone crashed against the night stand. He shoved his boxers down to his knees without a second of hesitation to think about the guilt that would follow.
He loosely gripped at his cock and set a gloriously agonizing pace. A mere mimic to the way he imagined your dainty hands would explore him. The way your palms would map the veins and ridges of his length.
His thumb grazed his tip. The jolt of pleasure that surged within him unleashed the beast from your dreams inside him. His mind went feral with animalistic lust.
Images flashed behind his eyelids. A fantasy Of you waiting naked on his bed. Body propped up by the throw pillows you picked out. A carnal look - eyes blown wide. Your bottom lip tucked between teeth. As you put on a little show. Of spreading your legs - feet dragging along the comforter - in a slow reveal of your shiny slit.
His jaw clenched.
As you skimmed along bare skin - breasts down and down. A trail he intends to make later with his tongue. His grip tightened as he imagined your fingers, pulling open your folds. Putting you on full display. Pussy glistening wet and all for him.
All he can think about now is crawling over you - caging your body under his. Wrist twisting up and down, he wondered what you would sound like. Tiny whimpers. His tip dragging along your slippery slit. Teasing you until you beg. He’ll give it to you then. Snapping his hips, fucking himself deep inside you as you gasp his na-
“Oh! Fuck!” He growled. A sharp pleasure crested along his spine; hips surging upwards. He hit a trembling peak; a whisper of your name on his lips.
His body slumped, hand going limp at his side. It was the most intense climax he experienced in years. But he was too blissed out to dwell on the fact it came from his own hand.
With a half-lidded dopey gaze, he looked down. His fingertips dripped with release; the TV screen illuminated the shiny splatter on his belly.
Jay Leno and the live audience erupted in laughter.
---
It was a rainy Saturday - a rarity in the summer - which meant Baron Creek was crawling with people. There wasn’t much of a choice in whether or not you wanted to endure the crowd. Your co-worker was getting married in a few weeks, and you weren’t about to be stuck with the bottom barrel overpriced items on the registry.
“People actually want this shit?” Javier grimaced at the rooster shaped gravy boat in his hands. He lifted it above his head, checking the sticker at the bottom. His brows shot up in shock; you stifled a giggle. He carefully placed the item back on the shelf. His hands glued to his hips, like he was a child told not to touch anything.
As you watched Javier wander the Dillard’s home section, his brows drawn in the middle, scooting past couples as they scanned various items: a phallic shaped umbrella holder, sewing-machine bookends, and a dachshund lamp, you thought about his own brush with marriage.
Your mind refused to let you forget about the time you learned about the almost Mrs. Peña. It was while the credits of The Graduate were rolling, The Sound of Silence merely a background noise to your tireless rambling about how no one in real life gets left at the altar. By the time the screen faded to black, you found out just how wrong you were.
If the idea of Javier being only a gear shift away from being a husband wasn’t shocking enough. The intricate story he told you about their relationship was the icing on the cake. It was the most you ever heard him speak, and if the look in his eyes wasn’t enough, that alone showed his remorse.
“Hey,” your attention snapped to Javier who was holding up the paper copy to an item. “Here’s something.” He said, nose scrunched like he smelled rotten eggs.
Both of your heads quirked to one side as you examined the ceramic trivet - which was more like a mural of cartoon cats painted in pea green, rusty orange and teal.
“Maybe we should go to Macy’s.” You said. Javier couldn’t agree fast enough.
As the two of you made your way out of the home section, you pointed to the useless junk that people claimed they needed but never used. That was until you passed the bedding section. All your chuckling ceased at the ornate floral comforter that diverted you off course. Javier shook his head, remaining in the middle of the walkway. You oohed and awwed as you made a show of grazing the plush material.
A shout of your name from the luggage section made your body whip in that direction. The sound, the cadence, the familiarity was like hearing a song you almost forgot existed.
Your stomach twisted.
A year later, and there he was; effortlessly pieced together in one of those stupid striped Ralph Lauren t-shirts he always wore tucked into his jeans. His quaffed blonde hair bouncing along with each step closer.
“Ken,” your lips twitched into a semi-smile as you moved around the bed frame. Muscle memory took over; you smoothed out the non-existent wrinkles on the casual summer dress.
Javier’s step sounded at your side - meeting you where the tile collided with the beige carpet. The warm look in his eyes made the knots in your stomach loosen to a bearable squeeze. A foreign feeling in Ken’s presence.
It was right then that you realized just how over him you were.
The timid smile Ken offered felt out of place on his face. His demeanor seemed off - jittery. An oddity to his put-together persona. A part of you loved seeing him this nervous.
“Long time, no see,” Ken said with an awkward chuckle and a quick glance behind his shoulder.
You nodded at him. Javier’s brows raised at the obvious statement.
“Ken, this is Javier Peña,” you swayed slightly between the two men, “Javier. Ken.”
Javier flashed the most charming grin causing Ken’s to falter on the sides. They exchanged a firm handshake. Both of them lied through their teeth about it being nice to meet the other as they pulled back.
Ken dug his hands into his pockets and rocked on his heels. “So,” he broke the awkward silence, “How’ve you been?”
“Good. Good. You?”
“Good,” he rushed out, “Look I’ve been meaning to call-“
“Ken-“
“No,” he said urgently, “There’s something I need to -“ A set of french-tipped nails creeped along Ken’s shoulder. His words turned to silence as the fake tanned hand dragged along his forearm.
The petite woman slotted next to him like a cat in heat. Her platinum blonde Rachel hair-do felt mismatched along the navy blue and yellow stripes of Ken’s shirt. Her mouth was seemingly stuck in a permanent purse.
“Hey, honey.” Her condescending voice had his eyes blowing wide with panic. A voice in the back of your mind told you to run.
Javier’s hand found yours like a reflex. His fingers slid easily between yours like they were meant to be molded together. You turned to him, his eyes reassuring you that he was there.
As Ken introduced the two of you, his new girl’s vicious green eyes seemed transfixed on Javi - more specifically on the way his teal safari shirt hugged his biceps. There was no competition, Javier was better looking than Ken.
Ken nervously motioned to the overly smug woman. She posed like a pageant girl - probably because she was one. “-and this, is Kimberly. My -“
“His fiancé,” the words dropped like they were an anchor tied to your feet. Sending you down into the pits of the ocean - right where Ken left you.
The single center stone glinted even in the translucent grid lights. You barely felt the way Javier squeezed your hand or the soothing circles of his thumb. All your focus latched onto was her wicked flipper grin and the fresh manicure wiggling at you.
A part of you wanted to reach out and touch the marquise cut diamond just to see if it was real. If so, maybe the hard edges could prick you like a spinning wheel - put you into a deep sleep to escape this moment.
“You’re getting married?” Each word fluctuated between confusion, sadness and anger - a mixture that signaled utter betrayal.
“Well-“ Ken rubbed the back of his neck.
“Yep. Next week,” Kimberly cut in. She twisted the gold band and boasted a sigh. “At his parent’s estate.”
A sour taste - nope full on vomit - was rising in your throat. Threatening to escape all over her kitten heel strappy sandals.
It was the exact location his mom always imagined Ken would be married. A white gazebo that in the summer was surrounded by endless emerald acres and spotted by pastel pink vervains and Texas bluebonnets. A place - not long ago - you imagined yourself in.
“Oh, look honey, there’s Martha and Ron, I’m gonna go say hi,” she patted his chest, tucking a loose strand of her bangs behind her ear. “Nice meeting you two. Yoo-hoo Martha!”
Just like that, she was gone. A tornado that strutted away.
Javier’s burning hot skin was the only thing keeping you from freezing into place. His jaw was jutted, shifting from side to side. Clearly holding himself back.
Ken leaned forward. His tacky cologne made you want to gage. Grimacing, you turned away to try and focus on Javier. But it was impossible. Not with his hot breath on your cheek. Not when he used the same tone he always did when he justified his actions - a voice barely above a whisper.
“I didn’t want you to find out this way. I was gonna call.”
The lie made you scoff, head jerking back. That same voice from earlier was now a piercing scream as it told you to leave. That there was nothing he could say that would make this any better.
“I know it looks bad, but it just happened-“ He grabbed your shoulder, the brush of his fingertips set you ablaze.
“Don’t touch me,” You hissed, tearing yourself away. Javier stepped closer, his shoulder brushing yours as he flashed Ken a deadly glare. Ken pressed his tongue to his cheek, backing up with an almost offended look.
Your lip quivered into a scowl. “Congratulations,” you said - words laced with venom. “I hope she makes you very happy.”
You shouldered past him, dragging Javier along with you. Hot tears pricked at your eyes. No longer containable.
“Don’t be like this, let me explain -“ Ken said. His cowboy boots clumping on the tile after you. He called your name again and again - his voice salt in the wound.
“Don’t.” Javier warned, with a look that had Ken cowering away.
---
A chorus of squeaky windshield wipers, the pop of the leather steering wheel and a sniffle here and there filled the car. Javier’s body was rigid - residual anger coursed through him, turning his knuckles white.
There was so much he wanted to say, but his anger jumbled the words and everything that came to mind sounded flat. But as he glanced over at you; your shoulders shaking, tears streaming down your cheeks like the raindrops on the windows. He yelled at himself to fucking say something. Say anything. Say Ken’s a fucking idiot for letting you go. That he didn’t see what he had. That you’re better off without him. That he’s so proud of how you handled that ambush.
But all that came out was the softest sound of your name.
Your head dropped back on the headrest, “I’m sorry.” The plastic wrapper of your kleenex travel pack rustled as you grabbed a fresh one.
“Don't apologize,” he said, brows downturned as he shifted between you and the road.
“It’s just. All this time, I told myself he didn’t want to be married,” your words quivered along with your bottom lip. “But, really he just didn’t wanna marry me. What’s so wrong with me?”
“Nothing. Nothing is wrong with you.”
“That’s a lie,” you blew your nose, adding the dirty tissue to the wad in your fist. “We both know. I’m a controlling know-it-all.”
“In a good way,” He said genuinely with a tilt of his head.
You chuckled, head rolling to the side to look at him. The look in your blood red eyes tore him to pieces.
“I just can’t believe it. The man who wouldn’t even get a fish, is getting married next weekend.” You sobbed harder.
He wished he was better at these situations, but shockingly no one ever called upon him for comfort. This was new territory - all he wanted was to make you stop crying.
His thumb traced his bottom lip, trying to figure out a way to cheer you up. Or at least get your mind off of it. The idea that came to his mind shocked even him. As he rolled to a stop at the light, he felt assured in his decision.
He rested his hand on the edge of the headrest - you choked on a whimper as you turned your attention to him.
“Why don’t you come to Laredo with me next weekend?”
Your glossy eyes widened. “Really?” You hiccuped.
He shrugged.
“My tía is throwing a surprise party for Pops. You could come. Get your mind off of it.”
“If you’re sure,” your puffy lips pulled into a tight smile. He nodded. “Okay. I’ll come.”
“Yeah?” His eyes darted across your swollen face, his fingers inched closer, until he reached the tips of your hairline.
HONK.
Javier jolted, his fingers inches away from poking your eye out. You giggled, the abruptness forced out a shot of snot onto the cloth seat.
“Ew,” you looked at the mess like a toddler that just spilled. You pulled out a fresh tissue, scrubbing the snot off. “I’m disgusting.”
“No, you’re not” he said, adding with a quieter tone that he wasn’t sure if you could hear or not, “Not to me.”
A/N: Sally is a canon monster fucker (faceless man dream) so, I had to add it.

Jay's Makeup Giggles
I actually like his fic a lot for the most part. I haven't felt so gd bout righting a fic in a while lol- though it's weird at the start, I promise it does actually get better.
Prompt: by @secretly-tword-obsessed - Lee Jay
Words: 2222
Warning: language, teasing, fluff.
-Big Mouth!
--------------------------------------------------
It was a casual day. Only it wasn't. I lied. Jay was now hiding somewhere in Nicks house, giggling nervously, awaiting for one of his friends to find him.
It had started off a normal day, Andrew and Jessi were going to come over to Nicks and Jay just stayed the night. Nicks parents loved him so they never really minded.
"So, Nick, Jay? What time are Andrew and Jessi coming round?" Nicks mum asked, everyone sitting around the breakfast tabled eating.
"Any time, but knowing them probably 11 or 12" Nick answered.
Both of Nicks parents looked at each other with lust, his father slightly whispered something rather a little too loud making all but the two lovers uncomfortable. Well and Jay- but that's just Jay for ya.
"Please don't say that when they're here-"
"Nicky, I perfectly normal -and healthy! To make love in the morning. Your mother and I would do it all hours of the day if you kids weren't around and we had no jobs-"
"That's enough dad!" Nick sighed, putting down his cutlery and feeling incredibly embarrassed.
Later Nick and Jay were getting ready when the door rang, alerting them that Andrew and Jessi were here. Nick ran down, Jay following after and let the two in the house.
"Hey Andrew! Hey Jessi!" Jay happily yelled, giving the two a hug.
"Hey Jay" Jessi chuckled, patting jays back.
"Okay, alright! Let's go upstairs and play some video games!" Nick said, the four ran upstairs and played video games.
Yeah, all rather casual for the most part. They played videogames, had lunch, played more video games- them jessi decided to scroll on her phone for a bit.
"Come on Jessi girl, let's do something fun!" Connie begged, watching ad the girl scrolled through Instagram posts of mini make up tutorials and clothing outfits.
"Connie I'm bored too, but the boys just wanna play videogames and I just wanna scroll through my phone" Jessi didn't once take her eyes off her phone.
"Come on!!!- oh I have an idea!!! We could convince them to let us do their make up!?" Connie's eyes shone brightly, as thiugh she'd just had the best idea.
Jessi thought for a moment, about to agree because that could actually be pretty fun, but she soon remembered she hadn't brought the little make up she had.
"We can't, I didn't bring any make up" she sighed, looking back at her phone.
Connie's expression changed from excitement, to disappointment ment, to yet more excitement in a matter of seconds.
"Check your bag!"
"What?"
"You packed some from the time you went on that horrific date-" An uncomfortable shiver went down Connie's spine, the same for Jessi's.
"Yeah- it was pretty shit..."
"Yeah... anyway go check if you still have it!"
Jessi jumped off the bed and went to grab her bag, Nick looked over to check if she was alright but soon realised she was fine.
Annoyingly that made him loose the game. "ha! Another win for the Jay Hammer! Thats what my pillow calls me" Jay winked but the other two grimisted at the thought of Jay fucking a pillow-
"Hey guys?" Jessie asked, picking something up and nor letting any of them see.
"Yeah Jessi?"
"Wanna do something fun?"
"She wants to fuck! She definitely wants you to pounds her" Maury chanted, excitement radiations off him. Andrew tried to ignore him.
"Uh.. sure Jessi, what?" Andrew asked, confused but wanting to see if Maury was right. Obviously he wasn't. But still, hope. 🤞
Jessi pulled out her make up and smiled evil-y as the lights flickered and the boys all screamed.
Very over dramatic indeed.
"What the hell jusy happened to the lights?" Andrew asked, looking up.
"Probably a fuise"
"Did anyone else hear that demonic laughter?" Nick asked.
"Me again, haha- MAHAHAHA" The lights flickered again as Jay laughed manicly, everyone else screaming. The next minute it was like nothing happened.
"Okay- anyway- Jessi you can't be serious? That's... make ups for girls" Andrew said, threatened by ruining his masculinity.
"Yes I'm serious! Plus, make ups for everyone. All it does is make your features show more"
"Jessi- I just don't think... make ups for me? Ya know?"
"Oh whatever Andrew, Nick? Jay? You two aren't afraid of make up right?" She asked, not wanting to convince Andrew.
"Uh... Jessi I just don't know-"
"I will!" Jay jumped up and off the bed, jumping up and down with his hand in the air like a child.
"Yes Jay!"
Jay and Jessi were both excited to do the make up, Nick and Andrew both shrugged as they continued playing their video game. Though it was better cause Jay would always win.
"Okay Jay, sit up here" Jessi said, patting the edge of the bed as she put her stuff down and grabbed a rather large make up brush.
Jay sat down and swung his legs like a five year old, he was more than happy to do this- for whatever reason. He sat patiently as he waited for Jessi to get ready.
Jessi had put some sort of powder on the brush and asked Jay to look at her, she gently held his chin in her hand and dusted the brush on his face, asking Connie if she was doing it right.
Suddenly though, Jay jumped upwards with a little squeak, everyone stopped and looked over at him.
"You okay Jay?" Nick asked, Jay went a little red and nodded, suddenly quiet. Andrew and Nick looked at one another, asking what the hell just happened, Jessi just asked for Jay to sit down again so she could keep going.
Reluctantly, Jay sat back down and waited. He tried to hold it in but he couldn't help as the brush dusted his cheek once more. Suddenly, light, bubbly, childish giggles splattered out of his mouth, giggling away as the brush tickled his skin.
He tried to twitch away but also tried to stay still, trying to mask was something he did rarely, if ever, but was trying so hard to at this moment.
"Jay? Everything okay?" Jessi asked, stopping the brush and taking it away. Jay's giggles didn't stop though, so he tried to rub them away which just messed with the powder slightly.
"Is- is he okay?" Andrew asked, yet again pausing the game.
"I dont know-"
Nick tapped Jay's shoulder, making him jump. For some, stupid, random reason whenever Jay was lightly tickled he'd become incredibly sensitive, not that he wasn't already, no. Jay was probably one of the most ticklish people in the world but would usually run and hide so his friends never found out.
"Woah- hey, Jay?" Jay stopped rubbing as the sensation went away, his face was going red as he realised most, if not all of his closest friends were in the same room, without him being able to run, as he was lightly tickled.
"Oh my god the boys ticklish-" Maury and Connie both exclaimed, now visible to all the children rather than just their kid.
"Aw, that's so cute!" Connie exclaimed, grabbing him and ticking under his chin, starting up a whole new bundle of giggles as he turned away.
"No! No-" Jay denied, still giggling like the five year old he was.
"Wait seriously?" Andrew exclaimed, jumping off the bed. Out of all of them Andrew was one of the most ticklish, but it wadnt a surprise, let alone new news. Jay on the other hand jumped at the slightest touch.
"How did we never realise?" Nick asked, rather surprised yet somehow not at all.
"Let's tickle him till he cries!" Maury yelled, wiggling his fingers at the boy who just giggled before he was even touched.
He shook his head, "g-guys! I-iheim not even ticklish!"
Jessi couldn't help but smile, Jay trying to ignore the fact of how ticklish he was was adorable to say the least. Especially as he was already giggling at the slight thoughts of being tickled.
"Aren't you a cutie!" Connie said again, tickling his chin, ears and neck making him squeal and step back into the bed. He tried to run away the sensations but couldn't stop the giggles or smirks growing on all his friends faces.
"N-no- really guys- ihihim n-neheot ticklish!"
"How about we test that theory?" Andrew said.
As soon as Jay heard that his eyes went wide and he ran. Probably faster than Usain Bolt.
So that's where we are, Jay hiding from his friends as the image of their wiggling hands corrupted his mindz reluctantly giggling. Jay slammed his hand over his mouth and shut his eyes tight, pretending he wasn't there.
Jay didn't hate tickling, he actually enjoyed it. His brothers would tickle him to tears and although they thought they were annoying him, Jay treasured the moments. His parents would do the same when he was much smaller, tickle him slightly and hear his childish giggles.
The thought of his friends tickling him? It was terrifying buy also exciting. He couldn't bring himself to let them though, so he hid away.
It had been 10 minutes, his giggles would stop and go all over again and he was surprised he wasn't found yet.
Only then did he hear people walking down the hall, calling out his name.
"Jayyyy? Where are you~" Andrew called out, the teasing didn't help. He flushed red and hid deeper in his hands, curling up.
"Jay, we're gonna find you" He heard Nick call.
"Come out~" Jessi couldn't help but laugh, imagining her friend in the exact position he was in.
The footsteps passed the cupboard but stopped soon after, Jay had accidentally let out a rather loud giggle after holding his breath. Once more his breathing stopped and so did everything else.
In a slash of a second, the door opened and Jay was thrown over some hairy monsters shoulder, squealing and yelling. Pounding his back.
"This kid is strong" Maury said, but soon gave Jay a poke on his side and he once more turned to a puddle of giggles. Jay was thrown on Nicks bed and the door was locked.
Jay curled into a ball and squeezed his eyes tight, giggling hysterically already.
"Oh my god he's worse than Andrew!" Jessi called out.
"Hey!"
"We haven't even touched him yet" Nick laughed, then going to poke Jay's side as he squealed.
"Jay~ are you sure you're not ticklish?" Nick teased, poking his side over and over abd Jay frantically tossed and turned, laughing now.
"NAHAHAGAHANOOOOO" He shook his head and squealed as the pokes became faster as faster.
Andrew them fluttered some fingers around his neck, giggles splattered out along with reluctant laughter.
"NAHAHA!! PLEASEEEEEE" Jay battered their hands away, begging as the sensations became stronger.
"Oh my fuck, you got him begging already?!" Maury cheered the kids on. Nick looked at Andrew and Jessi and the three decided to climb on the bed.
Nick said just below Jay's hips but not on his thighs, Jessi sat on his angles and Andrew used all his strength to lift up the boys arms exposing his armpits and sat on his wrists as he clashed around.
"All spread out just for us" Andrew teased, dragging his hands lightly down Jay's arms as he tossed and turned, giggling eyes squeezed shut after feeling the horror of being so exposed.
"Nahahaha!! A-andreewwww" Jay begged but soon he felt hands on his calves, Jessi's fingers slightly being dragged upwards. Jay couldn't help but bash his feet.
"Now, Jay? Are you ticklish?" Jay didnt care, he somehow thought that they'd believe him if he stood ground. Even if he was a giggling puddle.
"NooAh!?" He jumped as he felt Jessie flutter under his knees.
"Weak spot guys" she called out, then moved her hands and squeezed his kneecaps.
Jay shook and squealed then, bashing all he could to get out. His knees were definitely a weak spot, he couldn't handle the torture. And it had only just begun.
His friends all laughed at his situation and actions, then everyone dived in. Andrew scratched at his hollows, Nick squeezed his sides and hips, making him buck. Occasionally spidering his ribs which made his giggles bubble up again. And Jessi kept changing from squeezing his knees to his thighs.
Jay couldn't handle it all, not at one anyway. He shook and squeaked, a bright red happy face but begged abd begged.
"STAPPPPPPOP PLEASE STAPPPPHAHMMM" He spluttered out, his face was so red and he couldn't help the tears that formed through laughter over a party few minutes.
Everyone let up abd laughed with him as he crawled into a happy giggly little ball. Maury poked his side one last time for good measure with made him yell but they all just laughed.
"Aw, Jay's a ticklish like boy" Jessi teased. Jay hugged himself, drowning and his own laughter for a few minutes.
"Ya know we would have stopped if you asked?" Nick teased, jumping back on the bed witb Andrew to play again.
Jay went red again. They were right, he'd never actually asked them to stop, and he loved it so much. Everyone went back to doing their own thing and Jay just giggled. Fuck.

003 Chad
Hi luv!
About this ask:
003 | Give me a character & I will tell you
How I feel about this character: I don't like Chad canon and what they did to him in his arc. I don't like that this character is Ella's child. But... I like what the fandom has done with Chad. I like the analysis and development that he can have. I like the potential that Chad has. Especially when it comes to learning to recognize the authoritarianism of the government and his privileged position. I like that Chad is actually smart, he has the rules memorized in his head. I like that Chad is charismatic and manipulative. I like that Chad knows that he is attractive and uses it to his advantage. I like that Chad is a romantic and strives to make the people he loves happy. Now, take all of that and make a good character. A kind and brave character. Take all that and make a son worthy of Ella. Sounds interesting right? Well, if you are interested in this I invite you to read RebelPaisley. Say that Nocturna sent you (?). But it's thanks to this author that I saw Chad's potential and started adding him to my stories. I like Chad. This Chad.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Audrey, Ben, Jay, Gil, Evie, Lonnie, Jane.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:Ben, Jane, Doug, Jay, Carlos, Uma
My unpopular opinion about this character: They didn’t know what to do with Chad. They didn't know what to do with Chad after he served for Evie's arc.
One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon:  They owe me the friendship between Ben and Chad. They made Chad the joke of everyone. And they took away any redemption arc from him. Does anyone remember how in the middle D1 Chad and Jay seemed to reach a friendship? And how does Ben mess up Chad's hair in the end? What happened with that? Eh? And secondly, how do they happen to have Ella's son and the Fairy Godmother's daughter and not have them as best friends (or something more, IDK)? Chad must have been Jane’s prince. And Jane must have been Chad's fairy. Platonic or not. Can you imagine how cool it would have been if they referred to each other as "mine"? "Yeah, Chad is obsessed with being the perfect prince and sometimes he looks like a fool. But he's my fool for as long as I can remember. So don’t be rude with MY fool." or "Ben, we need to talk, I know Jane is helping you with being king but you are exhausting her. And before she is your pretty assistant she's my pretty Jane. So I booked a day at the SPA for us. I'm not asking you, I am informing you. " Can you imagine? No, enough, I'm going to get frustrated by myself.
my het ship: Audrey x Chad, Evie x Chad, Chad x Jane, Chad x Lonnie
my slash ship: Ben x Chad, Gil x Chad, Jay x Chad
my OTP: Audrey x Chad
my polyship: Sea Three + Audrey + Chad
my kink: Accidental stimulation, bitting (receiving), begging, bondage (rope bunny), breath play, chastity (cock cage), collaring, corsetry, cuckolding, cupping, degradation (degradee), discipline (receiving), dirty talking (receiving), electric play (violet wand), exhibitionism, flogging (receiving), frotting, hair pulling (receiving), impact play (receiving), little one, masochism, nipple playing, nylon fetish, orgasm denial, pet play (pet), sensation play, sensory deprivation (blindfold and gag), spanking (receiving), role play, submissive (little one, servant), tentacle fetish, tickling, underwear fetish, uniform fetish, voyeurism, wax play.
a hc fact: Chad relies too much on symbols of authority. It was very difficult for him to accept that Auradon wasn’t the perfect place that he was taught it to be. Chad is afraid of breaking the rules and being sent to the island and ending up in the situation that his mother lived through. He is afraid of small spaces.
my gender bend: mmmm good question... Maybe like this:
Tumblr media
Big eyes, curly hair, and apparent innocence. Because she knows she's adorable and cute, so she uses it to her advantage.

one word prompt: Inferno
I think you’re the only person so far who understands what ‘one word’ means sgjagsjgs
Here you go! Have some plasma angst, with a side of platonic oppo. (:
Tw: burns, major character injury
“Kai!” Cole calls. “On your eight!”
With a start, Kai realizes that he didn’t notice the guy sneaking up on him. He quickly spins counter-clockwise and throws a punch, easily sending the gang member to the ground.
“Thanks!” He shouts back, flashing the other a quick smile before returning his focus to the fight.
Around a half hour ago, the team had received a call about a gang fight. Obviously, they tried to stop them, but it had somehow turned into fighting anyway.
Glancing around, he mutters a quiet curse. Looks like he managed to get himself separated from the team… and it’s probably going to be hell trying to get back without getting shot.
And he can say this from experience: Bullet wounds are a nightmare, both in pain and in time it takes to heal.
Oh, whatever. He’s been through worse.
Narrowing his eyes, he quickly jumps into spinjitzu to avoid a particularly nasty slash of a knife. Looks like at least some of them use melee weapons.
With an eye roll, he grabs the nearest goon and throws him into a group of them, not even trying to muffle his snicker when they all topple over. These guys clearly don’t have a ton of experience.
He scans the area again, trying to figure out where the others are. Did he-
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” he grumbles, tightening his grip on his katana. He’s basically on the other side of the battlefield- it’s going to take forever to get back.
“Kai! Hang on, I’m coming!” A voice shouts over the commotion, and he whips his head around to look at the source.
It’s Jay- because of course it is. His boyfriend always seems to be trying to look out for him, even when he’s made it clear he doesn’t need the help.
“I’m good! Stay with the others!” He calls, hoping- but not expecting- for the other to listen.
Even with the distance separating them, he can clearly see the look that Jay gives him. “Yeah, sure, ‘Mr. I-never-need-anyone’s-help’ is totally good when he’s completely surronDE-“
He’s cut off. A bullet to the shoulder sends him falling to the ground with an unholy scream of pain.
Kai freezes in place, watching in horror.
The split second it takes for him to collapse is more than enough time for his emotions to build and snap, sending sheer uncontrollable rage flooding through him.
And everything goes red.
With a shout of his own, he can feel the fire wreathed around him, can feel the heat in his veins, can feel the way everything around him crumbles and falls under the intensity of the flames.
He can’t think. There’s no real thoughts in his head, everything is blank- there’s no room for anything other than the inferno in his mind.
Faintly, he can hear shouting, screaming, but he doesn’t know what’s being said- or even if there are any words at all.
There’s blood. He’s not sure who’s or where it came from, but the ground is slick with it, the crimson liquid almost instantly drying from the heat radiating off of him.
Abruptly, he’s thrown to the ground, hands pinned against the scorched concrete.
“Kai!”
With a sharp breath, he recognizes Zane holding him down, his ice powers and metal skin preventing him from being burnt alive.
And it’s the realization of what the fire is doing that makes him get a grasp on it, to force himself to push the flames back down, to suffocate them with his own willpower.
Panting, he can feel the adrenaline racing through his veins, and after a moment, he tries to push the nindroid off. “Where’s Jay?!”
Much to his dismay, Zane doesn’t release him. “Take a deep breath,” he instructs, voice tense with several unreadable emotions.
Out of the corner of his eye, he can see the bright blue of his boyfriend’s gi, and he can feel the fire starting to build up again. “I need to see him! Please, Zane, I- I need to help him! I-“
“You’ve done enough, Kai!” Cole snarls from somewhere nearby. Head whipping around, he sees the earth ninja a little to his right, jaw and fists clenched tightly.
“Cole!” Zane snaps. “Calm down!”
“I’m sorry, did you not see what he just did?!” The noirette seems to be barely keeping himself in check as he looks over in the direction Kai last saw Jay. “He-“
“He was trying to help!” The nindroid relaxes his grip some, and Kai takes the opportunity to shove him off and run, run towards Jay, to see what happened to him, to see if he’s okay, to-
He stops in his tracks.
Lloyd and Nya are starting to try and pick him up and put him on a stretcher that connects to the Bounty, to lift him up to where he’ll be able to get medical attention.
The gunshot wound is barely even noticeable now. He has something much, much worse.
Horror floods through him as he recognizes the result of his own powers, what the fire that he had so willingly embraced had done.
Jay is covered in burns, his scorched skin twisted and charred, his blue gi covered in black patches from the way the flames had burned it with his skin, his-
He flinches when he feels a cold hand grab his shoulder. Shakily, he looks over to see Zane again, the nindroid holding him with a tight grip. “Take a deep breath,” he repeats, voice firmer this time.
This time, Kai forces himself to follow the advice, breathing slowly as he tries to ignore the turmoil of emotions under his skin.
Shaking, he can feel the last of the heat in his veins flicker out, the fire finally fading under the shock of what he did.
He looks back at Zane again, unable to get out what he wants to ask, but desperately hoping that the ice ninja will understand.
“He’ll be alright,” the nindroid assures softly, the calm steadiness in his tone letting Kai begin to get control of the pain in his chest.
Unable to speak, he grabs the other, burying his face in his chest, letting the cold assure him that the flames are gone, that he’s not going to do anything else.
Even though he seems startled at first, Zane quickly wraps his arms around him, muttering quiet reassurances.
In that moment, Kai finally has a full, coherent thought.
He hurt Jay.
He almost killed him because of his rage.
He always hurts the people closest to him, doesn’t he?
Grip tightening, he struggles to get a hold of his breathing, to get the aching in his chest to a level where he can accept that.
They both pretend not to notice the tears that form.

Nightmare - Upstead Fic
This is my first Upstead fic, so I really hope you like it as I am so proud of it 😊 It’s starts towards the end of 7x09 and is an alternative, more tense ending to the actual episode/storyline, in my opinion. Enjoy!

“Angela.” It was almost a whisper, that’s how dry his throat was and how weak he had grown over the last twenty-four hours of almost constant beatdowns. Not only did Jay have to deal with the physical torture, but the mental one too. Every moment that led up to where he was right now was being replayed in his head, seeing as he has nothing more to do. Being the type of guy who always tries to find a way to improve himself in every way possible, he’s picking apart each second, imagining the hundreds of different ways things could have gone differently if he had just let the call go to voicemail, told his partner where he was going, gone in with backup, heard the guy’s footsteps behind him, fought him off. Hell, he was even going back as far as to question his quick decision of Marcus West being the one responsible for the murder of two young boys. He sees now though that he was getting too involved, being too emotional, trying his absolute best not to slip into the cold, heartless shell of a man that returned from Afghanistan all those years ago to the point where he went too far and got an innocent man killed.
“Angela.” He tried again, prying the eye open that wasn’t glued shut with dried blood from the gash on his forehead. “Kick one of those pipes over to me.”
The woman that sat slumped against the pipes across from him raised her head. But she didn’t meet his eyes. How could she after what he had just revealed to her? The man before her had murdered her husband, in her mind. And even though her only chance at survival was to work with him, she had absolutely no desire in her heart to do so. He deserved to die, and if that meant that she would too, then so be it. But every time her thoughts ventured there, she reminded herself of her son. He already lost his father, so he needed his mother more than ever.
“C’mon, Angela.” He had managed to free his left hand by now, the ropes that once bound him hanging loose from his wrist as he gestured towards the objects in question. “We gotta work together if we’re gonna get outta here, so you have to kick one over, c’mon, please. It’s the only way.”
It was then she lifted her eyes to his. The dark chestnut pools had lost all life and purpose and were emotionally empty, barring the harsh disgust that was boring holes straight through to Jay’s soul, so deep he could sense it bubbling inside him, the feeling so undeniably familiar, being that he felt it towards himself the night he discovered his mistake, unable to correct it as it was too late.
***
Unbeknownst to Jay, his beloved unit was rallying outside the very building he was being held prisoner in, ready to take down an army if it meant they’d save him.
Voight was dishing out orders to each of them, but Hailey wasn’t listening, not really. She knew she’d do anything to get to Jay, even if it meant going against the boss’ orders or putting her own life in danger. Thoughts of how she could be so stupid to let him go without backup or to get her hopes up that he’d be in the van for the exchange kept swirling around in her brain. But she had to be totally focused on the now. The next few minutes could land anywhere on the spectrum between the most ideal scenario of finding him perfectly okay and finding him in a lifeless heap on the floor. She had to be alert and ready for anything.
That’s why she didn’t hesitate when Kevin hoisted her up to crawl through the vent in the wall.
***
It was now or never. The weaker of their two captors had come down the stairs a few seconds ago, armed with a water bottle and a fresh dressing for Angela’s wound. Now he was knelt down beside her, applying it whilst trying to keep down whatever he had for lunch. It was pretty much useless. She needed a miracle after the amount of blood she had already lost, and still it kept gushing out, even though Jay was pretty sure she didn’t have a much left.
“There you go.” The man announced, getting to his feet but staying crouched.
“Can I have some water?” Jay piped up, adrenaline starting to seep into his blood at the mere thought of the feat he was going to have to pull off.
The man simply looked over his shoulder at the battered and bruised body behind him, showing no objection nor acceptance.
“Please, man.” Jay begged now, his voice breathier to play the part.
The man’s gaze returned and stayed on Angela as he grabbed the water bottle, stepping backwards towards Jay when the harsh ringing of the metal pipe echoed throughout the murky basement as it collided with his head.
After he dropped to the floor, Jay checked he was out cold before sliding the rope, tied to his right wrist, off the pipe. He attempted to get to his feet, but he felt the room spin and decided on crawling until his blood pressure went back up. He once again checked the man was unconscious along with casting a glance over to the stairs to make sure the other guy wasn’t on his was to beat the crap out of him. Satisfied with the answer to both, he searched his victim’s pockets for a weapon of any kind. He found a switchblade, and although he would have preferred a gun, it would have to do. He then grabbed the pipe before crossing the short distance to Angela, kneeling down beside her.
“You did good.” He said, a little out of breath, as he used to knife to cut through the ropes that tethered her to the pipes like he was. The only acknowledgement he got was a helpless whimper and a sad little nod.
“Okay, stay here,” he gave the pipe to Angela, then laid a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “I’m going after the other one.”
And he was up. As stealthily as he could, he climbed the stairs, attempting to stay flat to the wall and out of sight. He could hear the words flowing from the other guy’s mouth, anger lacing each one, along with heavy footsteps reverberating across the floor above him. Then after a deep breath, he emerged, sprinting towards the guy who had his back turned. That was until Jay was about three feet away, when he promptly turned and fought back, blocking the slashes of Jay’s hand with his forearm and landing a punch to Jay’s gut with his other hand. It didn’t stop Jay though, he swung and he swung, and he knew, he knew that he’d have this guy by now if he wasn’t so goddamn weak and in pain.
The guy managed to forcefully shove Jay away from him, long enough to raise his revolver and fire a shot off. A lucky shot. One that ripped through the flesh of Jay’s shoulder like it was paper.
And he screamed.
A guttural scream that resonated from somewhere deep inside of him as the pain ripped through him. He staggered backwards, clutching at his wound whilst the agony set in.
And he was so goddamn close to getting out of there.
“Jay!”
He heard it. And though it was fairly far away, he couldn’t mistake that voice for anyone else’s.
Hailey.
Oh, how he cursed himself for not telling her how he felt before. He knew how unreliable tomorrow is, he’d experienced it first-hand with too many people, yet still he had assumed it was going to come around. Now all he had left to ease the pain of his stupidity was to convince himself that she would be better off without him. She deserves so much better than him. He was a murderer, essentially. And we’re not talking the bad guys, here. Marcus West had been on his conscious since the day he died, and despite the numerous assurances from multiple people that it wasn’t his fault that he died, he knew in his heart that at least some part of it was. He reverted his mind back to Hailey as he waited for the second and fatal shot to come his way. After all, if he was going to go out, he knew it would be a lot more peaceful if his thoughts were filled with bright blonde hair, bright blue eyes that remined him of the sky on the most perfect of sunny days and the infectious smile that could make him feel whole when he caused it.
***
She heard the gunshot. She’d heard hundreds before, but this one, the one that was most likely the difference between life and death for her partner, was the loudest. So loud it made her heart stop and legs go weak at the same time. It felt as if the walls were suffocating her, coaxing her into an unconscious state where nothing was real. Not like a dream, but less of a nightmare than the one she was living in now.
But she clutched onto reality, staying awake and hauling herself back into the moment.
“Jay!” She screamed as powerful as she could, her legs finding the strength to sprint in the direction of the gunshot. It was her only way of telling him that she was there and begging him to hold on, for her.
She needs him alive. She needs him to have her back, in every aspect of life. She needs him to make her smile when everything else seems dreary.
She needs him.
***
“C’mon, pretty boy.”
Jay was only partially conscious as he was half dragged, half stumbling up the steps to the roof. He had no idea what this guy was doing. Why didn’t he just finish him off when he had the chance?
They practically burst through the door and onto the roof, the guy shoving Jay so that he fell to his knees in from of him. He groaned, but still managed to get to his feet, albeit achingly slowly. Turning to face his captor, he was met with the barrel of a gun.
“Who are you?” The man seethed. “You told us your name was Jim, but that girl shouted Jay.”
Jay didn’t say a word. He just maintained eye contact with his one good eye.
“And the way you fought me...I have to give it to you; you were pretty damn good.” The man chuckled sadistically before stopping abruptly. “Which makes it very likely that you’re a cop.”
Jay’s eyes must have flickered, because the man soon cocked the revolver, taking a step forward and urging Jay to take a step back.
“Fuck.” The man grimaced. “I knew it.”
“You’re done, man.” Jay said, seeing his chance to negotiate. “It’s over, you can’t win. So either shoot me and get charged with the murder of a police officer, or let me go. You can escape, if you’re quick, and no one will even know you were here. I’ll tell them your buddy was the only guy and he was the one who shot me.”
He genuinely seemed to consider it, only for a second, before a rage burned in his eyes stronger than Jay had ever witnessed before.
“Why can’t I have both things that I want? You, dead, and escape.” He inched further forward, the barbaric smile returning, and Jay stepped further back. “As far as I know, you fell off the roof trying to let your cop buddies know you were up here.”
That’s when Jay realised how close to the edge he was, and a lump grew in his throat.
***
“Where the hell is he?” Hailey shouted, slamming her hands down on the table beside her. The rest of the unit, which had recently regrouped after sweeping the warehouse, flinched at the loud bang but understood her frustration as they felt it themselves. Hailey found the spot where the gunshot had happened; the blood splatter on the wall tipped her off. The first place she looked was down the stairs, but she had only found Angela, slouched against the wall, and one of the captors, laid out unconscious. But no gun, and no Jay.
“There’s only two exits, and Kim and Rojas have them covered. Let’s do another sweep of the warehouse, they can’t have just disappeared.” Voight ordered, and they all dispersed, except Hailey, who still had both hands firmly planted on the table as she breathed deeply, grasping onto the little composure she had left.
That’s when she realised there were more than two exits. There was one leading onto the roof.
She sprinted off towards the stairs that she’d memorised from the blueprints and climbed them faster than she thought humanly possible. When she reached the roof, she couldn’t help but to throw open the door, her gun raised ready to fire. And as she stepped out onto the roof, she took a split second to thank her past self for taking an extra few minutes to look over the blueprints one last time.
***
Both men heard the door open, only Jay had the advantage of being the one facing it. Which is why he had a few second lead of seeing the flurry of blonde hair rushing out. And also why he had the chance, whilst his captor turned to see what the noise was, to grab the gun and attempt to pry it from his hands. But the attempt was unsuccessful, mainly down to the fact only one of his arms was currently operational, so it resulted in a struggle of tangled limbs and grunts as each man tried to claim the gun as their own. That also meant that Hailey didn’t have a clear shot in fear of shooting her partner.
But suddenly she wished she had taken the chance and trusted her skills when both bodies tumbled off the roof.
She couldn’t move. She was fixed in place in fear of seeing her partner, her best friend, falling to his death. That’s when she heard the crack, the one from the bodies hitting the sidewalk, and it was then that every fibre of her being wanted to shatter. She wanted to fall to her hands and knees and wail and howl until she was hoarse and her tears had formed puddles below her.
But she didn’t. She ran to the edge of the building where she braced herself before looking over, ready to confirm her worst nightmare. And down on the pavement were mangled limbs and spattered blood surrounding them.
And Jay grasping onto a protruding metal pole with his right hand, his body dangling precariously as he grits his teeth to endure the pain.
Hailey couldn’t believe it. She wasn’t religious, but she thanked whoever was looking down right now for the miracle that just occurred.
“Jay!” She shouted, and you could tell she was on the threshold of breaking down from the way even the single syllable she spoke wobbled with unshed tears. She reached down her hand to grab his wrist, but she knew she wasn’t going to be able to pull him up on her own, even if she had all the adrenaline in the world pumping through her veins. “Help! On the roof!”
She screamed it once. Twice. Three times. All the while, keeping her grip on Jay’s wrist as he hung helplessly. But she could tell he was getting tired, and he was already weak to begin with. The next time she spoke she couldn’t stop the tears from falling.
“Just hold on, Jay, please. Please hold on.” It came out almost in sobs, but she was so desperate for him to stay strong that she didn’t care.
“Oh my god, Hailey!” Kevin shouted from the top of the stairs behind her. She heard his footsteps racing across the gravel before he dropped to his stomach beside her and looked over the edge. He didn’t hesitate to grab Jay’s arm, both him and Hailey heaving the man up and onto the roof.
And that’s where he gave up, falling to his back as the agony washed over him in full force, the adrenaline wearing off in its entirety.
“Jay, stay with me. Stay with me.” Hailey cried out, her bright blonde hair and fresh blue eyes as crystalline as the lake on a summer’s day being the last thing he remembers before slipping into unconsciousness.
***
The next thing he knows, the repetitive beep of the monitor and the chemical smell that lingers in the air is what he’s waking up to, along with the warm hand that is interlocked with his own and keeping him close. He flickers open his eyes, letting them adjust to the harsh white light before opening them fully and looking around. His brother is leant against the doorframe, watching him as he stirs before catching his eyes and smiling gratefully. To his right is a mess of blonde hair splayed out over the covers as Hailey rests her head and her eyes. He can tell she’s asleep from her slow breathing, but she looks anything but peaceful. He turns his attention back to Will, who is now walking gently towards him.
“Hey little bro,” he whispers. “You gave us quite a scare.”
“Can’t get rid of me that easily.” Jay quipped, his voice hoarse, managing a small smile.
Will merely smirked before explaining what happened when they got to the hospital, speaking quietly at Jay’s request so he didn’t wake Hailey. Once he was done, he left with a nod and a remark about letting the two lovebirds have some time together.
Jay inhaled and exhaled deeply before gathering the courage to wake Hailey. He ran his fingers through her hair then caressed her cheek with his thumb until she stirred. She sat up, a little disoriented at first but she soon came back to earth. That’s when she realised what woke her, and any remnants of sleep were quickly shaken away.
“You’re awake.” She breathed out, a little disbelieving despite the surgeon saying he was due to make a full recovery.
“So are you.” He smirked.
Silence hung in the air once more, but it was neither comfortable nor awkward. Both of them could tell there were words that needed to be said, but they couldn’t find the right ones. Somewhat luckily, that’s when Voight decided to grace them with his presence.
***
It was a little later now, and Hailey had just returned from work to sit with Jay again. He wasn’t being discharged for a least another few days, much to his dismay, but he was glad that she was there to make the wait more enjoyable. Whilst she was gone, he figured out what he wanted to say to her, the exact words, only when she stepped into the room a few minutes ago, they seemed to escape him. But it was now or never, so he threw caution to the wind and went with what his heart was telling him.
“Hailey?” It was a little louder than a whisper that he managed at first, but she heard and was up on her feet in no time.
“What is it? Are you in pain? Should I get a nurse? Or are you thirsty? I can get you some water…” She was a little on edge. She wasn’t used to seeing her partner, the war vet, the first person through the door, so incapacitated and…weak.
“No, no, I’m good.” He chuckled, and she relaxed, exhaling deeply and sitting down on the edge of the bed before meeting his eyes. He smiled softly, as did she. “You saved me.”
“Well, Kevin was the one to- “
“No, Hailey, you saved me. When that guy shot me, I was so close to giving up. I was so sure that that was it, that I was going to die on the cold, stone floor of a warehouse. But then I heard your voice. It gave me hope, it reminded me I had something, someone, worth fighting for, so close to me that I could hear you. And I was devastated when he dragged me up to that roof, but I knew that you’d find me if I just kept him talking, and you did, and you saved me again. And then when we fell, I grabbed onto that pipe, but I was so tired, Hailey, I didn’t think I was going to keep hold of it much longer. But then you told me to hold on, and I knew that I had to because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be able to hear your voice again, I wouldn’t see your smile light up a room again or hear your laugh and have it make my day. And I realised, Hailey, that I couldn’t let go, because that would mean giving up on a chance of having the most amazing life with you, and I could never pass that up in a million years. So, yes, Hailey, you saved me.”
That’s when he realised that she had silent tears streaming down her face, but a small smile graced her features.
“Jay…I…” She started, but she too was unable to put her feelings into words, as none seemed to convey the immensity of them. So she leaned down and captured his lips with her own, cupping the back of his head with her hand, kissing him so sweetly and passionately that she poured a thousand words worth of her feelings into that one kiss. It was like everything around them vanished, as if nothing else existed but them. He returned it immediately, holding her cheek in his palm, and they bared their souls, showing how much love they have for one another, and suddenly they both felt utterly complete.

Stan plushies! I have no idea, then again I am 5'3 soo. I would squeak and run away. Being chased is scary.
I would smile softly at his flushed face, I would cup his face, "You look so pretty with blush on your face~" I thought that too!!! I would hum, "I would prefer to be your husband actually,” I would raise my eyebrows right back at him, “What would you like to do on our honeymoon baby?~” I would tease and wrap my arms around Hyunjin’s waist to pull him closer. “Don’t worry baby, you’re in strong hands. I can’t let my pretty pup fall.” I would carry him to his room and gently place him on his bed, then cuddle up to him.
“Honey it’s okay, I know you didn’t mean it,” I will gladly accept his cuddles. I would laugh in between the kisses. “It’s okay baby,” I would peck Hyunjin’s cheek, then cradle his face in my hands, “Can I see you smile angel? I love it so much when you smile!” I would tighten my arms and raise my head to leave a kiss on his lips then loosen my arms a bit so I could stare at him in the eyes. I would hum and lean into the headpats “Come here then.”
I am not, who says I’m paying with my money, we’re taking JAY WHY PEES money and buying all the groups ice cream. I would squeal and stim my hands again, my nose would probably scrunch up. My stimming would calm down when he caresses my cheek and I would lean into his palm. I would laugh happily and hug back warmly and smile back just as bright. After the hug I would probably stim again with more jumping up and down with stimming but with giggles leaving my mouth.
Anyone who takes away his smile :D is dead to me. I would look at him with such endearment and I would caress his face and pull him closer to seal the kiss. “Hmm okay,” I would just agree to stare at him with full love and admiration.-•^•
sorry i dont answer two of your asks at the same time 🤧🤧.
Yes, plushies for senate 😩. I— im 5'11 and from my perspective that plushie big af. Jeongin would probably the first one to catch you and steal you from the others. 💀 Like he would hide both of you in a room and lock it 💀.
He would giggle, “oh really baby boy?” he would try his best not to blush again cuz he prefers you to be the blushy one 💀. I just like imagine kkami in a like a small priest robe- “Okay, my tiny husband, I shall carry you as you are my prince~ slash the love of my life.” Hyunjin would say as poetic as possible 😭. He would smirk at you, “Oh nothing, just some cuddling and light make out sessions~” he would try to wiggle his eyebrows to be as a tease as much as possible. Hyunjin would nod and just get closer to you anyway, wanting the most contact. Channie would hum and cuddle up to you, “If I’m your pup then who am I to you?~” he would ask, giving you a fake suspicious look.
Hyunjin would still pout and cuddle into you. From now on, he’ll lessen the teasing cuz he doesn't wanna see you angry again.. Hyunjin would engulf you in his hug immediately — almost squishing you. Hyunjin would still be pouty, so he'll give more kisses. He would smile very brightly and look at you before asking for me kisses cuz he’s Hyunjin- He would die from your eye stare, “Pretty boy~” he would randomly say after a long af staring contest. Hyunjin would launch himself into you before kissing you passionately and long 👀.
I— I AGREE- TAKE ALL OF IT LEAVE NOTHING BEHIND- Jeongin would literally melt at your stimming,“You are too precious, must protect~” He said cooing, scratching your chin as if you were a cat (dont ask why 💀) He would just caress your cheeks lovingly, and then he remembered something “Minho-hyung said that you haven't paid attention to him in a while, oh he also made some weird cat noises.” Jeongin would love your hyper energy and jump with you.
Same. 🔪🔪🔪 we must protecc. Like he deserves the world :<< Felix would giggle before Minho comes stalking in the room, giving Felix an icy glare before lookint at you with a smile “Why have you forgotten me— I’m hurt~” he said fake gasping 💀.

Attacked in their Sleep
Tumblr media
@badthingshappenbingo
hey look a bingo! :D
Prompt: attacked in their sleep
Fandom: Ninjago
Character: Kai
Trigger Warnings: blood
Cold gaps dig holes in his memory and he does not know why.
Cole has never been a particularly forgetful person, but recently, he just… can’t remember. Little things, like why he entered a room or when he fell asleep or when he got out of bed. But they’re gaining frequency, and he’s beginning to get worried.
And the headaches. They’re not the worst he’s ever had, nowhere near a migraine, but like his forgetfulness, it’s more how often it’s been happening recently that’s bothering him.
Other times, when he’s alone, he gets this feeling that someone is there with him. That someone is… watching him, even, but every time he looks, there’s no one there.
He tries to tell himself it’s paranoia.
He doesn’t tell the others, though. It’s probably just a result of dehydration and a lack of sleep, and he’s always hated to cause a fuss. He just needs to take better care of himself, that’s all.
He wakes up in the middle of sleepwalking on far too many nights. He’s never been a restless sleeper (has he?), but this is almost enough to cause concern.
He’s sure it’s nothing, though. Sleepwalking is plenty-common (hell, even Kai is an occasional sleepwalker!), and it’s not like he’s going to find his way outside and get hit by a car. He hopes.
But until it’s actually something worth mentioning, he’s not going to whine about it. Everything is fine.
- - -
Kai is sure that he isn’t the only one who’s noticed that Cole is acting off. Nothing huge, nothing to the point that they should be intervening, but enough to cause some concern.
Cole is… absent. His attention is always just under where it should be, he’s forgetting simple things, like what day it is or who’s turn it is to cook or even what his favorite video game is called. And Kai knows bad dreams when he hears them. He did practically raise Nya, after all.
Cole hasn’t been sleeping well at all. He’s always tossing and turning, sometimes even making noise (usually minor sleep talking. Stuff that doesn’t make sense, like “I won’t” or “don’t make me”). Kai assumes that it’s based on something that happened in his past.
Besides Cole, everything has been pretty normal. Well… as normal as things can be when you’re a group of ninja fighting off evil snakes and a power hungry lord of darkness. Zane has been adjusting well to finding out that he’s a nindroid (Jay has been using that term so much that it’s kind of just stuck), the kid is staying with them and is finally figuring out that endless pranks will result in some very pissed off ninja, and Nya is — well, a samurai, but Kai can’t tell anyone and it’s going to drive him nuts pretty soon. But still, he’s proud of her, and she’s more than proven she can take care of herself.
Kai is laying in bed, and he can’t tell what woke him up. A glance at the clock reveals it to be just past three in the morning. The room is pitch black, and everyone else is asleep.
He yawns, adjusts a little, and is just barely asleep when he hears a noise. The quietest creaking of a floorboard, nothing too weird. But something twists in his gut and he’s just about to sit up to investigate when something stabs into his chest.
Kai’s eyes shoot open, and he grabs the arm of whoever is attacking him, and he tries his best to keep the blade from going any deeper. He tries to scream, but finds that he can’t make a sound.
Whoever is attacking him is strong, and they’re putting up more of a fight than Kai expected. He’s struggling, and they’re gaining ground, inch by inch. If he doesn’t do something, it’s going to hit something vital to his survival.
He kicks his legs out, taking the chance to roll out of bed and run. The blade rips out of his skin, tearing the wound open even further, but the trailing blood is the last thing on his mind.
He barely makes it outside to the training course before he’s all but tackled, and they both fall to the ground. They’re rolling around, kicking and hitting and all things in between before his assailant, their dagger glinting in the moonlight, poses to strike. Only now does Kai get a look at who it is.
Cole.
With vacant red eyes and a blade raised high and aiming to kill.
Kai barely has time to shake himself out of his stupor before he manages to get up, grabbing a katana from the weapons cabinet.
“Cole,” he says, finding his voice, even if there’s not much of it. “Dude, think about what you’re doing!”
Cole just lunges at him, and Kai is finding it horribly difficult to fight him without hurting him. Red eyes, why does he have red eyes—
“It’s the Hypnobrai, Cole! Come on, snap out of it! You know you don’t want to do this, I’m the cool one!”
Metal grinds against metal as their blades meet, then come apart again. Kai and Cole are usually pretty evenly matched in training. But with a ruthless monster controlling him…
Suddenly, all of Cole’s recent mannerisms are beginning to make sense.
Kai is backed against a wall, and Cole raises his knife… then freezes. His hand begins to tremble. Then his arm, then his whole body.
“Please don’t make me,” Cole whispers, and Kai takes this as his chance to dodge and put more space between the two of them. He needs to figure this out, and quick.
“Come on, snap out of it before one of us gets hurt,” Kai practically begs, crying out as Cole’s blade slashes his arm. In retaliation, he swipes his sword. He doesn’t realize just how much harm he’s done until he feels the tip slice through something more than just fabric.
Cole gasps, stumbling back and dropping his weapon. Kai can’t react before the doors to the monastery burst open and the magic flute is playing and Cole is blinking harshly, confused.
Kai throws his sword, running to Cole and dropping to his knees beside him. Cole is on the ground, looking much like a small child who’s lost their mother in a grocery store.
“Dude, Cole, are you with me?” He asks, ripping his own pajama shirt and holding it over Cole’s wound. It makes a squelching sound, and he can’t suppress a shudder.
“I think so…” he says, though it’s clear enough that he’s still processing. “You’re bleeding!”
It’s now that the pain of almost being stabbed (almost) right through the heart catches up with him. Huh, that adrenaline didn’t last very long.
“Have you seen yourself recently?” He asks instead, if only to distract himself from the burning pain. If he’s in pain, he can’t even imagine how bad it is for Cole.
Someone is beside him, pulling him away from Cole. He fights back, cries out, tries his hardest to stay with him, but they persist. The world blurs around him, and he closes his eyes to avoid getting dizzy. It doesn’t work.
There’s voices, a lot of them. Kai feels like he’s underwater, drifting farther and farther away from anything he should be hearing. Gradually, the world fizzles out.
- - -
He wakes up to whiteness. For a moment, he thinks he’s dead. But then his mind catches up with him, and he realizes that he isn’t dead, just in a hospital. He groans, doing his best to sit up. Nya is beside the bed, slumped over in a chair. He wonders how long she’s been there.
Kai doesn’t want to wake her, but there are questions he needs to ask.
He calls her name in a hushed tone, doing his best not to startle her. She stirs, blinking a few times, then startles and sits up fully.
“You’re awake!” she cries, nearly tripping in her haste to get to him. She hugs him, and he can tell how much she’s restraining herself when it’s awkward and gentle. Normally, she would practically crush him.
“You had me worried sick,” she says, dragging a chair over to the side of the bed. “How are you feeling?”
All in all, he’s had worse. The worst part about this is how groggy he feels. He relays this to his sister, who looks more than relieved.
“Where’s Cole?” he asks. Nya looks uncomfortable, averting her eyes.
“He’s down the hall.” she says after a moment, shifting in her chair. “We weren’t… sure if you’d want to see him.”
Kai stares at her, trying to convey how wrong that is. Of course he wants to see Cole! The idiot is probably miserable, blaming himself for something that he didn’t even do!
“It was the serpentine!” he blurts out, “they did it, not him!”
“No, no, we know! We just weren’t sure if you did.”
“It’s kind of hard to miss red eyes!” In his excitement, he moves too rapidly, and wow that hurts.
Nya helps to situate him, propping up some pillows so he can sit up easier.
“I want to see him,” Kai says.
“I’ll see what I can do. But, the others are gonna wanna see you first.” Nya says, getting up and heading for the door.
Kai sighs, but agrees. He’d much rather see Cole first and make sure he’s okay, but seeing the others isn’t the worst thing he can think of. As long as he actually gets to talk to him.
- - -
“Stupid meddling ninja!” Skales yells, flicking the end of his tail against a rock and launching it against the wall.
He’d been so close, so close, to getting rid of at least one of them, those pesky little brats, and then the others just had to ruin his plans!
He’s still not sure how the white one (whatever his name is) had managed to play the magic flute without actually holding it, but however he’d done it, he forgot to take one thing into consideration.
A recording of the flute, while still somewhat effective, just won’t work as well as the real deal.
While his control over the black ninja may have faded, it’s not completely gone. He can most definitely use this to his advantage.

Thoughts on Descendants 3 as I watch it for the 8th time and pause to look at everybody all the time
- When Ben and Mal are walking out before the proposal, Audrey is slow clapping and it’s hilarious
-Chad seems genuinely happy to see them together but Audrey rains on his parade
-Please look at Chad’s face to the side after Ben gets on his knee his overdramatic gaping mouth is SENDING ME
-Why do they make Belle and the Beast kiss beside each other’s cheeks like a french greeting? For real though they’re Belle and the Beast...they should be kissing in celebration .-.
-Right after the Carlos/Beast chest bump there’s an extra in the background of Bal just having a blast popping bubbles
-Speaking of the bubbles I have no clue where they’re coming from
- Dude in the background when Audrey says ”What is wrong with you people?” bein shady AF to her
-That one girl in the wheelchair that has been in every single movie needs a name cause we all just refer to her as that one girl in the wheelchair lol
-Mal has her own purple fucking limo and she’s not even royalty yet
-Their money is so vibrantly coloured
-Those cards Celia fan out are definitely, well, a fan. They’re all attached- she’s not even holding onto some of them lol
-Mal resting her chin on Ben’s shoulder to watch him and Celia in the limo. soft
-The scenes in the limo make Ben look really big and awkward because they’re all shoved into a small space and he’s in the middle where the smallest person usually goes...but he’s the biggest person XD
-The barrier takes forever to close and there are a ton of people right there, why has no one attempted to just jump through it yet lol
-What if Hades put his hand through the barrier and it just like...cut it off LMFAO now THAT would have been entertaining
-Hades literally makes himself roll one more time as he’s pushed back. Like there’s no more momentum and you can see he should stop but he makes himself do another somersault and it’s so obvious lol
-I know it’s been said before but the lack of security in the museum is just lazy AF writing. They didn’t even try to make it realistic it’s way too easy to just waltz in and take anything. Apparently the wand is the only thing worthy of an alarm
-Also why is there not even glass around the scepter to even attempt to discourage people from taking it? Even when the museum is OPEN someone could yank it out and start spelling shit up.
-Ben’s phone rings and he hangs it up less than a second after he picked it up- it doesn’t even show him barely looking at it. How on earth did he have time to see a message about the stolen items- let alone the fact it was a phone call ring...not a text ping
- OK WAIT IF UMA IS ON THE LOOSE AND HE TALKED ABOUT BETTER SECURITY SERIOUSLY WHY ON EARTH IS THE MUSEUM SECURITY SO NON EXISTENT??? IN BOTH THE FIRST MOVIE AND THIS ONE THEIR LACK OF SECURITY IS SUCH A GLARINGLY OBVIOUS THING WHY IS IT NON EXISTENT IT MAKES NO SENSE
-Why are the former King and Queen of Auradon and the current reigning King turning to the not yet Queen for all the advice about evil like it’s her responsibility. They don’t even attempt to brainstorm the vast amount of other ideas. And why on earth can’t she just suggest uh...literal guards by the barrier when it opens for them? Like if they paid people on the isle to guard the barrier so other isle people didn’t try to get out it would help a ton. There are so many other solutions other than closing the barrier completely (and then getting rid of it completely??)
-Does anyone else notice that like...50% of Ben’s screen time is him staring in shock/disbelief at things with literally no other expression for entire scenes? Cause I noticed it the first time around
-My favourite outfit in this whole movie for Mal is this light purple dress she has on when talking about closing the barrier for the first time with Ben’s parents and Evie. She is SO GORGEOUS in it. I’m actually not a fan of the leather suit she wears for the rest of the movie cause I don’t feel it fits with her hairstyle- mainly once it starts to go blue
-I just realized Mal’s hair literally goes from pretty much just purple to lots of blue mixed in. I guess it’s cool cause it’s like she gets power from the ember but I honestly prefer her brighter purple hair. My favourite hairstyle was her bangs she looked like an actual goddess in the 2nd movie
-I think everyone was thinking Dude got into Jane’s cake (despite the very neatly cut corner)
-I honestly love Mal’s face when Audrey shows up with the crown and scepter and her whole new gettup like “What on earth is this chick doing”
-I reiterate “what on earth is this chick doing” as Audrey goes to...sniff? the scepter?
-I wAnT tO bE dAnGeRoUS
-Audrey through a cupcake on the ground. So evil
-Honestly I’m sorry but Audrey talking all angsty to the people at Jane’s party is really cringey. Her lines are just...hhhhhhhhh (you mindless little drones in particular just seems weird the way she says it)
-How on earth does Audrey not see Jane get in the lake...she’s literally right there in full view
-OK so not ALL magic doesn’t work on the Isle, according to Celia only evil magic doesn’t work- so yes Maleficent is still a lizard cause Mal’s spell wasn’t an evil one
-Even with her massive platform shoes Mal is so much shorter than Hades she is yelling at him but having to look way up she’s adorable
- Hades “LET’S DANCE” - proceeds to shake a tambourine, slap his butt with it and stick his tongue out. ok then
-Why did I never notice Mal shake the tambourine at him angrily and then throw it lmao
-WHERE IS THE WIND COMING FROM IN THIS SONG (I will touch back on random wind that shouldn’t be there later on too)
-Mal should say thank you for the ember...imo
-”If it gets wet it’s game over” thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat’s what she said
-Mal’s walking away from Haes up those stairs? That booty thicc (only thing I really like about that outfit)
-Girl has a zipper down her butt. She can unzip her ass cheeks
-I’m glad the jewelry in this movie is no longer plastic like Ben’s ring and his burger king crown
-“You’ll what? Marry them?” OK I am not a big fan of the plot or Audrey’s temper tantrum but  if that isn’t the best fucking burn in this whole franchise then idk what is
-gUYS CELIA IS NOT THE ACTRESS SHE IS SUPPOSE TO BE IN AN ENTIRE MAIN SHOT??? WTF? HOW HAS NO ONE POINTED THIS OUT?? SHE’S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON WHEN THEY’RE WALKING OUT OF THE GATE TOWARDS THE BARRIER ON THE ISLE AND THEN THE NEXT SHOT IT’S BACK TO THE PROPER ACTRESS. BUT IT’S VERY OBVIOUS
-I AM GAY AS SHIT FOR UMA OK SHE IS ABSOLUTE PEAK AESTHETIC AND I WOULD LET HER CHOKE ME WITH HER BRAIDS
-I deserve some compensation for my muscles...what does that even mean???
-Are we suppose to know who Hannah is?
-”Says you and that’s suppose to mean someth’n to me?” Ok maybe I’m just a flaming bisexual for Uma but why was that line delivery so smooth
-Audrey is abusing Chad. She threw a glass bowl at him and is literally shoving him around and yelling at him while accusing him of knowing things and not telling her. And it’s played for laughs. Descendants you have a lot of good things that are socially woke but this ain’t it man. Chad may have been a douche but he doesn’t deserve abuse. (rhyme oof)
- Why is Dude advertising that he gives great cuddles? Who is that directed at? Why is that line in there? Alright then
-How is Uma the only one that noticed the massive scratches on the wall and the literal painting slashed in half
-Mkay we get it Audrey you’re evil thanks for the random laugh
-The knight in front of them literally clanged as it moved and it’s RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM how did nobody but Harry see it move. This entire movie is me asking why something happened because honestly so much of it just doesn’t make sense but I still love the movie lmao
-Out numbered 1 to 50? How did this girl graduate lol
-I still say What The Fuck Is Happening every time Mal makes the Knights dance. It’s just the most random, out of the blue thing to do
-Mal literally licks her lip and gives Evie the most sultry look as Evie dips down and is singing the end of Night Falls. I’m not a Mevie shipper but it’s the most bedroom eyes I’ve ever seen
-Evie is an absolute ray of sunshine and deserves all the things
-Harry is genuinely flattered at Evie’s compliment about his accent he starts to smile. Dude acts like a complete player and then gets happy when someone gives him a genuine compliment lol
-Jay and Gil are adorable
-Gil is just adorable on his own
-Doug is in way too comfortable of a position to not have already been on the ground sleeping/resting. Which begs the question of why he was just on the ground sleeping like that
-Doug’s long hair and ponytail and complete lack of style are some of my biggest pet peeves in this movie. He doesn’t just look out of place next to Evie, but next to literally everyone else. He looked pretty good in the last two, why such a drastic change that literally nobody asked for or wanted lol
-I seriously can’t take Evie and Doug seriously in this movie just because of his hair. It’s just so unattractive I’m sorry not sorry
- I do enjoy the sense of urgency and time that the movie has as Mal tries to keep moving. Uma and her being like “just kiss him already” is fun
-They could have shot Audrey looking at them through the scepter in a different way...the way it’s just the same close up shot every time she’s looking at it with her hair blowing in the non-existent wind just adds to how cheesy her whole performance is (not her fault, director and writers fault)
-Mal should have kissed Ben when they reunited. 0 reason not to. She was super worried about him and finally reunited with him and she also LOOKED like she wanted to kiss him. Girl was super into that beard.
-Leave some room for Jesus lmao
-I’m just bitter cause the only kiss we get this whole movie is from kinda far away and is short. We’ve also never seen them share a sweet kiss in private- they’re always on display....maybe it’s a kink lol
-Ben and Mal holding hands while trying to sneak around <3
-Sophia’s acting when Evie is upset is on point. This whole scene is one of the only really good ones where everyone is rightfully upset with Mal.
-Mal has had to sing about her feelings in every movie lmao
-Why...does the dragon look like it has a low frame rate? It looks choppy
-Audrey just, once again, doesn’t look menacing. She’s just like...waving a stick around and making mean faces
-”I owe you an apology” says everyone but...no one actually says “I’m sorry” lol
- Ben is just “aw yiss speak human rights to me baby” at Mal during the engagement party
- Beast: “We can’t do that.” I AGREE
-Taking the barrier down with no screening for the villains is a bad bad bad bad idea but it’s a happy disney universe so everything is fine - ugh
-UNSAFE BRIDGE!!1!!1 I’m waiting for someone to fall off- just once, please
-Mal and Uma jumping up and down when they kmeetis the cutest fucking thing on earth
-Ben needs a different thing to dance in, his suit is so stiff
-Harry and Audrey? Hmmmm I’m not opposed but I’m also not feelin it
-Were those people just...waiting there with an already built dragon?
-Ben likes to hip thrust in every movie, no lie

Monster and Mana Defenders of Aurita  Session two
In the rec room
Coran, Allura, Pidge , Lance, Keith , Shiro, Matt , Adam and Jay were sitting around the Holo table looking over character sheet waiting forcoran to set up as well as waiting for  Hunk to get there with the snacks
“ So dose anyone remember where we last left of “ Jay asked as he rubbed sleep from his eyes he had just walking up from a nap
“ W were about to fight some big demon or devil “ Allura said
“ok  “ Jay said
“ Do we know which one though are we fighting a devil of a demon because it’s a big different between those two “Adam said
“ I Think it’s a bone devil “ Shiro replied
“But what if it’s a bone demon” Keith said
“ I’m willing to give up my left foot” Pidge said as she waved her prostatic foot
“ And my left hand” Jay said
“ And my right arm “ Shiro added
The group laughed at the joke for a bit then before matt spoke
“So before we start I have to ask just to be sure Demons, Devil and fiends take half damage from non-magical attacks and fire damage. An Silvered weapons, enchanted weapons and magic do normal and Holy magic dose double right?” Matt asked with a small note book in hand
“ Yeah right “ Jay said As they did Hunk entered the room with a tray of cookies, drinks and other snacks
“  Sorry I'm later but I took a wrong turn and found myself in the training room”  Hunk said as he placed the tray down on an empty seat before sitting next to pidge
“  It’s fine now lets get ready “Coran said as they clapped their hands together .The group all moved around the table.” Last time We met Meklaver the dwarven fighter, Block the eleven Sorcerer, Quill the kenku monk, Jiro the Human Paladin, Allister the Yantai Warlock , Thunder storm Darkness the Dragon born Ranger , Kraig the Cleric , Valayun The High elf Ranger , and Pike the Tabaxi rouge.
We start off with Meklaver, Block and quill on their way back to the tavern the call a temporary home and finding out that magical amulet they found was made by the dark Mage Dakin and learned that two other people were heading to Dakin’s hide out. After talking to about their next move the decided to find more people to help in their quest just in case the two going after Dakin weren’t going to let them join them. That is where they meet Jiro , Allister And Thunder storm Darkness. Else where Valayun And Kraig were making there way to fort Caleb and ran into a Mother and daughter being chased by a group of Spine devils. After a quick fight with help from an unseen ally. They learned that fort cabel  was under attack  sent off the mother and daughter back to the town they had come from. Then Kraig moved towards the tree line and Found their hided friend and found it to be a Tabaxi named Pike. An with some  coaxing from Valayun and the threat of physical violates from Kraig Pike joined them .
Back with Meklaver and the other . They discussed how each group met and why they became adventures . After running into the same Mother and daughter that Kraig and Valayun rescued. They learned that Fort Caleb was under attack and made their way there and after dealing with a band of bandits. The two group final met and after a short talk the party was finally together. An moved towards fort Caleb as they did they heard a battle raging on. They then watched as two figures flow off one towards the Country of Gale Ford while the other one looked around then spotted the party and landed right in front of them. Now let the battle begin
The Bone devil roared Then spoke in common “  So your the one that I could smell “the looked at  Valayun and a creepy smile can on his face.” I always wonder what one of their blood line would tasted like “
Valayun Step back. Then Kraig  stepped in front of her weapon raised “ You will have to get past me before you can even get to my lady now Goddess guild my strike .”  Kraig said as pointed his weapon at the devil and a divine bolt of energy flow out of his War pick and slammed into the beasts face. The bone devil recoiled then looked back at Kraig then notice that it’s body was glowing
After Kraig’s Attack Block was Next. They ran up to Jiro chanted a spell then pleased his hand on his shoulder ‘ Time to see how this one works” then with a glow of arcane light Jiro started to double in size along with his armor and equipment ‘ Do your best ‘ Block said as he moved back a bit
Next was Meklaver turn She booked it straight toward the devil and swung her Ax . The first strike couldn’t cut the devils think skin Then the second one did the same or it would have if the didn’t have a sudden Surge of holy power followed through her body allowing her to cut deep into the Bone devils skin. Her axe the cut the top lay of skin leaving a small cut that started to bleed “ Ok this guy is really tough “ She yelled
Then came Valayun stepped passed Kraig casted the spell hunter’s mark twist cause a small lion’s head appeared on the bone devils body  then she unleashed two arrows .Both arrow flow across the sky. The first Arrow slammed into the devil's body followed by a strong chemical smell as acid started to burn the devils skin causing it to yell in pain as it scratched at the burn area. Then came the second arrow hit it’s mark and burst into a cloud of green smoke that no effect
the Bone devil to cough up for a bit before it launched it’s tail forwards Aiming for Valayun but  Kraig was in the way. Kraig raised his shield to block the Tails strike but was to slow as the tail stabbed into his chest plate then into  his breast bone. Kraig gritted his teeth as he pushed passed the pain but then his body started to fell like it was set a blaze as poison started to enter his body. He fell to one knee as the Devil pulled it’s tail out . Then it swung both clawed hands At Meklaver The Swing missed do to her jumping to the Side But the second one slashed across into her Armor leaving a  blood gash across her chest.
After watching his two new found teammate being attack Jiro charge forward raised his blade over his head  he the brought the blade down as he did it started to  glowed with holy fire. The Blade cut deep into the Bone devils back causing it to scream in pain as the holy flame burned it worse then the Swords cut did. Jiro the Took another swing only for the bone devil to slap the blade way from them.
“ Hey you big imp take this “Pike said as they throw a bright red dagger. It spun as it flow in the air and caught nicked the devils neck leaving burn mark where the blade had cut but the flame didn’t seem to  “ And this “ Pick throw a dart and it completely missed it’s mark. The bone devil then turn to look at him . “ Oh that’s not good” Pike said as he quickly throw down a smoke bomb and disappeared into woods.
“ SSSorry about this if this hits you Jiro or you Meklaver. My  Mastersssss Hungerss and you will feed him well SSScum “ Allister said as he pointed his blade at the Devil in front of him and tares in reality opened up and dozens bladed serpent heads shoot  out and bit down on the devil and started to rip chunks out of it.
“ I will gut all of you mortals for this “ The bone devil yelled
“ Oh just shut up “ Quill Said as he moved forwards an landed a flurry of blows that don’t do much but the last strike allow him to gain some insight on their foe” The thing is call a bone devil it resistances to cold and physical attacks and is a is immune to fire and poison” Quill yelled to the rest of the group
“ Ok then lets try this then “ Stormy said as he reached into their bag of holding and pulled out a Lighting javelin and throw it the javelin slammed into the Bone devil’s shoulder and sent a lighting bolt worth of energy through the it’s body. It screamed in pain as it fell to the Ground Barely holding on
Kraig tried to push through the pain and poison but failed to dose and caught up bleed but was still standing “Oh that hurt so much happy I bought this “ They said to themself and pulled out a Cure poison potion and chugged it then pointed his War pick again “ Burn in holy hell fire “ But the holy flame had no effect on devil “ Ok i’m done now” Kraig then fell to the ground and just rested
“ Kraig are you alright “ Valayun said as she Lowered herself to check on here teammate.”
“I’m good “ Kraig said weakly “ Just let me rest for a bit’ as he said that Block ran over to him and slammed his back and stayed
“ Feel better buddy”  Block said as he casted cure wounds level three
‘ Thank you “Kraig said as the started to get back on their feet
“Your welcome “
Meklaver took another two swung but both missed as the Devil started to take to the sky “ Somebody stop it from getting away “ She yelled as Valayun fire off two arrows only for on to miss and the other one split apart into a hail of thorns which hurt the Devil but it was still flying and launched it  tail this time at Jiro onlt to hit his shield then it tried to claw at him and again the shield took the blows
Then Jiro dropped his shild dual gripped his blade and yelled “ GO back to what ever hell you belong to!!!” Jiro Swung his blade one last time and cleaved the devils head of it’s shoulder. The devil body high the ground and then erupted in flames and descended back to the hell it came from leaving the lighting javelin and the arrows the were in it before it died “Ok who needed healing ”Jiro asked as he started to return to his normal size
“ I Do” Meklaver said as they leaned on their axe as  Valayun walked over to her a healed her. The Wound on her chest closed up  “ Thank you guys”
“ Your welcome I didn’t  we were properly introduced I’m Lady Valayun of Danafor “
“Meklaver “
“ Introductions later we have something more pressing matters at hand “ Kraig said as they moved towards the fort Caleb
‘ He’s not wrong “ Jiro said as he picked up his shield then the lighting Javelin and tossed it back to stormy
‘ Wait just a second I need to find my Knife “Pike said as he checked te area where he last saw his flame tongue  dagger “ I wish I knew that it was fire proof before I throw it”
“Sorry everyone started moving before I could learn what it was”  Quill yelled.
“ It’s fine because I found it. But next time we fight something can we learn what it is first so we don’t lose the cool stuff we’ve bought, Earned, or found “
“ Or stolen” Stormy said to the Rogue
“ Hey the guy was a dick and lost the right to wield this beautiful weapon” pike said as he sheathed the dagger
“ Can’t argue with that ‘ Block said
“If were all done talking lets get  move on” Jiro said as they started to move towards Fort Caleb
‘ Alright lets go then ‘ Valayun said as she and the other followed Jiro towards the fort .
“Ssso Any ideas what were going to be face when we get there Jiro?” Allister asked the they ran along side Jiro
“Don’t know but if it was as easy as the last one then we have nothing to fear then again it was nine on one so lets be ready for anything just to be safe “ Jiro said as the Fort Caleb got closer
“ Stay close to me Lady Valayun” Kraig said as he tightened his grip on his war pick
“I Will and stay safe yourself” Valayun said
“ I’ll try” Kraig replied
“ You two ready for what ever comes next?” Quill asked
“ Always am” Meklaver said
“ Ready as I'll ever be” Block said
“ Why the hell did I agree to help this people were running straight towards a war Zone” PIke said as he started to contemplate his life chooses
“  Then why are  you still here?”  Stormy asked
“ The big guy scares me and The Girl was very conniving when she asked me for help “ Pike replied
“ And  that’s why your here” Stormy replied with a smile on his face
As the group got closer towards Fort Caleb the sound of battle could no longer be heard. They all slowed down and creeped toward the town nearest to the Fortress. They saw smoke coming from the buildings and could see people moving through out the town they couldn’t tell if they were Civileans,  border Gaurds or invaders. So they all moved out of the middle of the road and into the tree line
“ Pike your up ‘ Valayun said
“On it ‘Pike said as he moved forward towards the town
’“ Stormy go with” Jiro orded
“ Got it “ Stormy replied as they followed Behind PIke
The Two creeped through the Forest line an sneaked into the town. The two found them in an ally way and slowly moved towards the entres to the ally. But as they moved toward the Entres. Stormy bumped in To Pike who had suddenly stopped pushing him into an empty barrel causing it to fall over and making a thuding sound
“  What was that “ A Voice said
“ Some one check that ally it might be a strageller “ Another voice yelled
“Shit “Pike said as he looked around the area for a hiding spot then he looked up “ To the roofs “ They said as they jumped on to the stormdrain of the building they were next to and climb onto the roof then put their hand out to help Stormy get up. Stormy jumped and grabbed onto pikes hand and quickly was pulled up onto the roof just as someone turned the corner. Both men looked down and saw a man in armor
“   Did you find anything “ Another voice said
The man looked around then and moved to the edge where the wood meet the town and checked for around area “ All clear ‘ The Guard said as they walked out of the Ally
Both Pike and Stormy looked over the Edge and watched as the person walked out. Both were looking at the Armor trying to see what symbols were on the Armor. Pike couldn’t see the symbol on the armor .But Stormy So it the Symbol Of a Rising sun told him that this were town guard.
“ Ok this place is safe lets get back to the others“ Stormy said as he started climbing down
“ Wait I have a way to tell them with out leaving this spot” Pike said as he pulled out a small spool of copper wire and casted the only spell he knew Sending and sent a message to Valayun “Town is safe Meet you there you can reply to this message”
Back with the others
Valayun heard pikes voice in the back of her mind { Town is safe meet you there you can reply to this message } At first she was confused but this and replied with out think” Ok see you there” She said out loud which caused everyone to look at her with a confused look on their faces expect for Kraig because he was still on watch.” Oh um Pike just sent me a message telling us the town is safe and they will meet us there” Valayun sad as they rubbed the back of her head.
‘ Alright then lets get a move on then “ Meklaver said
The party moved out of their cover and moved towards the town again and as they did this they notice a small platoon of Gaurds were moving towards them
“  Halt” The captain of the Platoon order the party “State your business “
“ I am Lady Valayun and this is my Party and we wish to cross over to Galeford “Valayun said
“ After that attack both we will not be allowing entre into Galeford until All demonic  attacker have been dealt with ‘ The Captain of the guard noticed the gash in Meklaver armor and the puncture in Kraig's armor “ My I ask what happened to your friends “ The captain asked
“ We ran it to some trouble getting here” Kraig said
“ What kind of trouble ?”
“Bandit “ Allister said
“ And a few Devils on the way here” Kraig added they leaned on Jiro to keep his balance
“ Wait what kind of devils sir” The platoon leader asked
“ Don’t know didn’t ask I just fought.  Ask the kenku his knows more then me Also there was a mother and daughter that were being attacked as they tried to flee Me and Lady Valayun told them to go to the nearest town and wait for guards to come get them. Know if none of you mind I will go find lodging for us if you allow my lady ?” Kraig asked as he straightened up and started walking
“ Yes you may “Valayun replied
‘ Thank you “ Kraig said as they walked into town
“ I’ll go with him” Block said as he followed Behind Kraig
The two walked into town. They saw  bodies of peoples ogres, orcs humans Goblins , scorch marks were an infernal being was slain. They   watched as people were putting out fires others were working on rebuilding  destroyed building, other were comforting  friends or family member as they stood in front of a white blanket that covered a dead body of lost loved ones
“ This is bad if only we could have gotten here sooner “  Block said as looked at the destruction around them
“  I Fell the same but there is no dwelling on the past we most focus on the future now I wonder what is happening . ‘ Kraig asked as they pointed towards   a tavern that had a crowd of people at the front door
“Don't know But I'm curious about it but should we be looking for a place to rest. “
“Were going to a tavern their might have some spear rooms there for us to rest in also we do need to find Pike and Stormy .Also I didn’t catch your name before that Bone devil showed up “ Kraig said as they started walking towards the Tavern
“ I’m Block Green wind “
“ Kraig Crock Pot” Kraig said as the two Made it to the back of the crowd. As they did the people notice how Big and intimidating Kraig was and started to part ways to let him and Block in
“ Crockpot that's a strange name “
“ I know but that was what my fathers clan was called so I wear with pride”
As the two entered the Tavern they saw Pike standing on the Table with a crowd of people while Stormy talking to the bar tender
“ And then the snake man Slammed his Blade into the Ground and ripped hole in reality ann” As he was talking he noticed Kraig and the Elf he just meet.”  AH Kraig and the other guy You got my message Come Sit down and help me tell this people about are daring fight with the bone devil. “ Pike said as the crowd around him looked at the odd duo that just walked in.
“ No “ Kraig said as he walked over to the Bar
“ I will also my name is Block “ Block said as he walked to the Table that Pike was standing on
Kraig walked up to the Bar and next to Thunder storm darkness
“ So that is three rooms four nine people that will be fifteen gold.”   The bar tender said
Stormy reached into his coin bag and counted out fifteen gold pieces and placed it on the table “ Thank you for your time “ Stormy said as turned to face Kraig” Hello Kraig “
“ Hello Stormy Was it  “ Kraig said as he sat down in one of the seats “Bar keep your strongest drink please “ Kraig said and as the bar keep went to get his drink Valayun and the others walked in
“ And There is the rest of my party “ Pike yelled as he pointed a finger towards the others.
“ Hi guys “Block said
“ Ah Lady Valayun we have succeeded in getting lodging for the night “ Kraig said
“ So have you too found anything else about what happened here?” Jiro asked as he walked over to the bar
“ No I haven’t “ Kraig said as he picked up the mug of dragon whisky
“ I have. Sorry lady and gentle men it’s time of the heroes to take  “Pike said as the crowd dispersed to let Pike and Block set up a table for the party to talk at. What there next move was  and to actually get to know each other
“ So have I “ Stormy said as he moved towards the table
“ we are going to need a waiter or waitress” Kraig said to the barkeep  then followed stormy with his mug in hand
“Can do lad”  The bar keep said
The party filled in the table
“So before the we start can we finally at least know each other and the reasons were here “   Pike said
“ Yes that is true we had just met and most of use don’t know each others names so I will start I am Jiro Stillwell Paladin of Avan and I am here to bring justice to those who do wrong and to look for the man who killed my master and twin brother Shiro and Nero ”
“ I’m Meklaver Jitan  and I'm looking for my family's Jewel that was stolen by a dragon cult”
“ My name isss Allister farewell and my quest is to find the missing parts of my patron and in return I will be turn back in to a human”
“ Quill swift wing like all kenku we wish to fly again . I’m looking for my father after he was taken by the same cult as Meklaver family Jewel”
Thunderstorm Darkness and I'm trying to find my clan after I was separated after we were attacked by a Red and Blue Dragon. ‘
“ Pike Flint fingers legendry treasure hunter in the making .” Pike said as he winked at Meklaver then to Valayun.
“ I’m Kraig Crock pot the unmovable Cleric of the clock work Goddess Oreyara  son of Fjord Crockpot the unkillable and Willow stone jaw.”   Kraig removed his helmet to reveal a Gray skinned Hob Goblin with gears tattooed along his face “And my job is to protect Lady Valayun”
“ I’m Lady Valayun Amara of Draco-Rite daughter of the High Priestess and I’m traveling the world “
“ And I’m Block Greenwind and I've spent the last decade look for Dakin after he cursed my entire Village after he drain all of the magic for the forest I called home “
Everyone went quite for a moment
“ Well there is defiantly no chance now for Dakin getting out of this alive”  pike said
“Like there was any other choose but to die once we sssshowed up” Allister said
“ Ok before we start saying were going to Kill A powerful Dark Mage. We first fine where Dakin is currently” Jiro said as he pulled out a map of Galeford he had gotten from one of the border guards he ran into earlier and laid it out on the tab “Now pike Stormy what have you found out”
Stormy spoke first “ Well I've learned that the border has been constantly attacked for the past six month by an huge bandit clan that recently were being helped by Dakin. So todays attack was “
“ And the reason the bandits are attacking this town is because besides it being next to a border it also a mining town  for a rare stone that is only found in the moutains here in Dayruin. The stone is used to make those cute little magical animal statue that have weird effects depending on what animal you get at a magic shop “
“ Wait so this bandit clan was trying to steal these stones for a while then out for some or another. I’m guessing for gold or make magic weapons. Then out of no where Dakin showed up and gave them devils to invade “  Kraig said
“ No the devil were already working under the bandits before Dakin showed up. “Then Pike reached into his pocket and pulled out a familiar looked green stone then throw it on the table  “ This is what Dakin gave to them as well as the Bone devil seeing as that one was new from what the people here told me “
“ Oh that’s not good “ Meklaver said as she then Kraig pulled out a the green stones as well
“ I’m going to say that the magical stones that Dayruin is mining is used to make this” Valayun asked
“ No Those are made out Jade ‘Pike said as he pulled out a small book “In my travels I've seen many of this kinds charms they are easy to make  normally they just boost the wears strength stamina and durability. Both this they just double the strength of the wear and sends them into a blind rage or that's the ones that the bandits had   “
“Ok now that we know what Dakin gave the bandit and why they attacked but why did he help them if he had been watching bandits throw themselves at the fort Caleb for months then for some reason he then helped them. It makes no sense unless he wanted something from them and what could he possible want from then in return”
“ Test subjects for his enchantment equipment. But then why would he need devils if he had an army of bandits . Unless he was using the bandits as a distraction while he did something else “Block said
The party spent the next  few hour throwing out ideas of what Dakin would have wanted  for the bandit. As they did food and drink was brought to them.As they ate the conversion switched from What Dakin was planning to talking about each others lives
“ So Kraig your a half Hob-Goblin and goliath. How did your parents meet and  what did you do before being sent out   to protect lady Valayun “ Jiro asked
“ First my  mother was a golith who won my father’s heart after killing a bear with only her hands. Second I was a smith and made the  weapons and armor for the High priestess’s and lady Valayun’s personal guard. Also I build the Armor I'm wearing right now made to be as scary as possible. Now Allister what were you before meeting your patrons “ Kraig said with a hint of personality to his voice that wasn’t there before”
“ I wassss a SsSailor for the Blue Dragon shipping company . It wasss a good job paid well going from conation to conation. Beautiful Beach towering cities  good life I misss it at timesss. But then again if I didn’t take my last job for the company I wouldn’t be able to do this”  Allister pointed his blade at the roof an then fired off an eldritch blast “ Ok Pike your turn.”
“ Alrighty then I worked in my family's magic shop that’s why I have this “ Pike tapped on the book for a second before grabbing  his wrist again and rubbing it like he was always did Stormy Quill and Allister noticed it”  I decide to leave home become a treasure hunter and found my self here. Now if you don’t know “Yawn “ I’m going to hit the hay which room is mine again stormy” Pike asked
“ Your in room two With Me Allister and Block”  Stormy said as he got up “ I’m going to bed as well.”
“ Same here  room three right “Jiro said as he packed up the map
“ Yes you Quill and Kraig” Stormy said as he tossed Jiro a key
“ Don’t lock me out I'm going to drink a little bit more before going to bed” Kraig said as everyone else besides Valayun after a few minutes of watching the others leave the table .Kraig and Valayun were left alone.
“ So Lady Valayun do you think they will be helpful in are quest “
“If what my mothers and my visions are true then we will need as much help as we can. To stop the oncoming storm” Valayun said unaware that something was watching her and kraig
