#beetlelands shippers this is not about you

Im not asking for edgy, dark, problematic Beetlelands but I'd like more variety in the ship and not just:

"Beetlejuice is a wittle manlet who has to be educated and babied about everything by his partners the Maitlands that basically act as his replacement mommy and daddy therapist and dumping all his emotional baggage on them and its not really the other way around unless its about kids" I like a lot of the content don't get me wrong, its great but its getting to the point where its stale or the same(can be really unhealthy)

also honestly kinda ooc, and ooc can be fine sometimes were having fun and this stuff shouldn't have stick to canon all the time but its gets to the point where they flanderized Beetlelands where their personalities are almost switched, atleast lets have some ooc content the other way.

One of the weirdest parts is I feel like the same people who do this don't do it outside of Beetlelands all the time or its not as prevalent but as soon as you put Beej and the Maitlands together Beetlejuice becomes baby-man mcgee and the Maitlands are his emotional support. Beetlejuice including the musicalverese is a nasty bastard who does dr*gs, is h*rny, homicidal, and despite being redeemed is still pretty chaotic neutral. He still can be sensitive and sweet, emotional,ect. but many shippers have taken this and make it the main focus of the ship.

Its not inherently unhealthy or sexist to deviate from dynamic and let beetlejuice support the Maitlands and wear the metaphorical pants in the relationship instead of the other way around (including babs)
