A #TBT FOR SAM APPRECIATION DAY 🌟 Show me an open air club cooler than this one. Haha. Imagine being funemployed for a summer month in Berlin...🤔budgeting a Euro or two a day for curry wurst and putting the rest of your bones to go clubbing, lol. Yeah, what a summer that was!!!! I reached new levels of power⚡️ last night. Not only did I wear my faux silk pajamas as a suit to the club last night, hahaha 🥰 but I also decided to light a j on the dance floor and smoke it 🤷🏻‍♀️. #TBT to the job I always want, RETIRED IN SAN DIEGO. This “retired” joke is something I always say around my parents who make fun of my love for Hawaiian shirts (or just stealing my dad’s) and my favorite aunt who teases me about enjoying her geriatric age group church community, haha. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You really haven’t lived unless you hear the same story from your elders over and over again. Drilling into your head how much harder you have to work to live up to all the sacrifices they made for the family and for you to even remotely enjoy a sense of freedom and flexibility you’ve been allotted as a result. THIS is essentially what I refer to as being able to CHILL. I’m chillin right now. I live in 2 places, I work for whoever I want, I wake up early, I stay up late, I’m just redefining chillin all day and I earn that shit every time. I am the CHILL. As a woman, my freedom to speak my mind, share my body without judgment, make the money I deserve comes more as an uphill climb than an act of free speech or will. At the end of the day, I take that challenge and embrace it with all my might because I'm able to practice little wins and acts of freedom that give me strength to move forward. Just like treating myself to a bath, nothing is more meditative and freeing to my mind.
