Tumblr media
summary— After discovering that you, a girl he had a one night stand with entered the deadly games, the Front man disguised as a player 001, infiltrates the games under the guise of monitoring Gi-hun but his focus becomes protecting you at all costs. based on this request.
warnings— none! fluff undertones, slight angst, season 2 spoilers, usual squid game chaos, in-ho being protective and possessive(he has a heart) <3
Tumblr media
In-ho sat in his private quarters, the screens in front of him displaying the death and desperation of the games. His attention drifted from one player to the next until his eyes fell on you. A bolt of recognition shot through him. It was you, his one night stand from years ago, someone who had left a mark on him in ways he hadn’t expected.
He remembered every detail about you, your wit, your boldness, and the way you made him feel alive, even if just for one night. It infuriated him to see other players whispering in your ear or lingering too long in your space. His possessiveness surprised even him. You had been the best fuck he ever had, and seeing you here now stirred something he couldn’t ignore.
That’s when he made a decision.
By the time you met “Young-il,” the newest player in the games, you couldn’t place why he seemed familiar. His face was shadowed by the chaos of your surroundings, and you had no time to dwell on it.
“You,” he said, approaching you during a moment of uneasy rest.
Your eyes narrowed. “Do I know you?”
“You could say that,” have a sly smile, “Call me Young-il.”
You tilted your head, trying to recall where you might have met him. There was something about him, his confidence, his presence, that struck something. Still, you shrugged it off. “Okay, Young-il. Hope you know what you’re doing here.”
“I’m sure I’ll manage.”
You didn’t realize he was watching your every move.
During one of the more grueling games, you faltered. The sound of gunfire rang out as players dropped like flies, and your heart pounded. You’d made a critical mistake, one that should have cost you your life.
You braced yourself for the inevitable, but nothing happened. The guards moved past you, their guns silent. You stood frozen, confused, but grateful.
In-ho, hidden behind the mask of a player, allowed himself the briefest sigh of relief. His influence was subtle but effective, you were still alive, and he’d made sure of it.
Later, as the remaining players rested, he approached you again.
“You were lucky out there,” he said, sitting down next to you.
“Mhmm. Don’t know how I pulled that off,” you said as you glanced at him, still shaken from the day’s events.
“You’ve got more lives than a cat.”
“Or someone’s watching over me,” you joked.
He smiled faintly, hiding how true your words were.
As the games continued, his protectiveness grew. When another player made a sly comment about your appearance, he was quick to cut in.
“Keep your eyes on the prize,” he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
The player backed off, muttering under his breath, while you arched an eyebrow.
“You don’t need to fight my battles,” you said sassily.
“I wasn’t fighting,” he said as he leaned closer.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t hide the faint smile tugging at your lips.
In-ho found himself conflicted. He hadn’t planned to step into the games, let alone risk his identity. But seeing you here, vulnerable yet determined, pulled at something deep within him. And when you finally cornered him one night, your wary gaze demanding answers, he knew he couldn’t stay in the shadows forever.
“You’re not just another player, are you?” you asked, your voice steady but your eyes searching his.
He hesitated, then smiled. “What do you think?”
“I think you’ve got secrets. But shit, me too. Let’s survive this first.”
“Deal,” he said.
He couldn’t stop himself from watching you, protecting you, and falling deeper into the very thing he tried to avoid. The very thing he said he wasn’t there for. Wasn’t he there to target Gi-hun?
Young-il seamlessly integrated himself into the group with Gi-hun and the rest, his calm demeanor and quick thinking making him reliable. Despite his apparent calmness, his sharp gaze constantly flicked to you. He positioned himself strategically, always close enough to step in if anything went wrong.
Gi-hun often exchanged glances with Jung-bae, silently questioning why Young-il seemed more concerned about you than the games themselves. But they never voiced their suspicions, after all, his protectiveness benefited the group.
Young-il wasn’t subtle about his priorities. When Thanos, one of the annoying and aggressive players, approached you with a smirk and a comment about how “a pretty thing like you shouldn’t be here,” Young-il’s jaw tightened.
“Walk away,” he said, his voice cold.
“Relax, man. Just talking—” Thanos chuckled nervously.
“I said, walk away.”
Before Thanos could respond, Young-il took a step forward, fists clenched, his eyes dark. Thanos scrambled back, muttering curses under his breath.
You crossed your arms and shot him a look. “I didn’t need you to step in. I could’ve handled that.”
“I wasn’t going to let him near you.”
When the lights went out, the dormitory turned into chaos. You barely managed to sleep, anxiety gnawing at you. But Young-il stayed awake, his body perched against the wall near your makeshift bed. His eyes, though heavy with exhaustion, remained trained on the room, scanning for any sign of danger.
At one point, you stirred, catching his silhouette in the dim light. “You’re not sleeping?”
“Not tired,” he lied, his voice soft.
“You should rest. I’m fine.”
“I’ll rest when this is over. Someone has to make sure you’re safe,” he said as he shook his head.
His words lingered in the air, and you turned away, confused by his constant concern.
When food rations arrived, Young-il always ensured you had enough, sometimes splitting his share without you noticing. If you hesitated to eat, he nudged the portion toward you.
“Eat,” he insisted once, placing his biscuit in your hand.
“I’m not a damsel in distress,” you said. “I don’t need you to babysit me.”
“I’m not babysitting,” he replied. “I’m keeping you alive.”
In the third game, players had to quickly form groups based on the number the organizers called, and with each failed attempt, the penalty was being shot to death. Fear ran high, and each moment felt like it could be your last.
You were with Young-il, trying to keep calm as the guards shouted the numbers. The merry go round platform spun as everyone scrambled to form groups and find a room, but it quickly turned chaotic. Someone tried to push past you, their eyes wild with desperation, and before you could react, Young-il was already stepping in.
His face was hard, his eyes cold as he grabbed the man by the collar, dragging him to the back of the room. The man’s protests were cut short as Young-il raised his hands and broke his neck, ending his life. The room fell silent for a moment before the countdown ended.
You froze, shock creeping into your body as you realized what had just happened. You hadn’t expected him to kill so easily, even after all the brutality you’d witnessed in the games. His gaze softened when he turned to you, seeing the fear in your eyes. He stepped closer, his hand resting on your shoulder.
“I know this is hard,” he whispered, his voice gentle compared to the violence he had just shown. “But you need to understand, this place doesn’t have mercy.” He looked down at you, his hand reaching up to cup your face, brushing away the few tears that had fallen. “It’s gonna be okay, I’m here.”
You nodded, feeling the weight of his words as he pulled you into his chest. The harsh reality of the games had taken root in you, but with him, you knew, even if just for a minute, you wouldn’t have to do it alone. His feelings for you were clear, he wanted you to survive, to make it out of this, and he was determined to ensure that you would.
During the dark night when the O Team launched their attack, chaos erupted. Players were dragged from their beds, screams echoing through the dormitory. When someone lunged toward you with a fork, Young-il stopped them in an instant, knocking them to the ground with a brutality that left you stunned.
He positioned himself between you and the attackers, his stance firm. “Stay behind me,” he barked, his tone leaving no room for argument.
“I can fight!” you shouted back, trying to step forward.
“Not tonight,” he said, shoving you back gently but firmly. “You’re staying behind me. That’s final.”
Despite your protests, he shielded you with everything he had, fighting off anyone who dared come near.
When the group decided to attack the guards and confront the ‘Front Man’, Young-il hesitated. His gaze flickered between you and Gi-hun, his usual resolve wavering.
“You’ll be okay,” he said finally, pressing a gun into your hand.
“I don’t even know how to use this,” you said, eyes widened.
“You don’t need to. Just point and shoot if you have to,” he said. “I’ll be back before you know it.”
You stared at him, your chest tightening. “Why are you doing all this?”
“Because you’re mine,” he said quietly, his words slipping out before he could stop them.
Your breath hitched, but before you could respond, he turned to follow Gi-hun. Over his shoulder, he added, “You’ll be okay. I’ll make sure of it.”
And with that, he was gone, leaving you with more questions than answers and a determination to survive—not just for yourself, but for the man who had somehow made you his priority in this death game.

Heeseung has just stepped out of his red-hot car, his eyes are tired but full of determination and while he takes off his helmet he sees his companions or "friends" on the podium while they spray rivers of Champagne and take a thousand photos for various social content with their trophies. He is trying to hide his frustration after another disappointing race by coming in P4, while reporters surround him when he enters the post-race space of the reporters. You were always flawless in your role as PR, and you make your way through the crowd with a firm step, a smile that hides a veil of sarcasm. As soon as Heeseung sees you, he smiles and looks up at you with his hair ruffled by sweat and helmet, trying to keep his "womanizer" attitude under control.
«Here’s my favorite PR, you’re always by my side, Y/n. I was wondering if this time you would cheer for me, or if I would see you clapping your hands for your little friend Jake or whatever for Jay» He said, leaning towards you as you were going to get in line to answer the questions of an Italian journalist.
"You don’t look like someone who needs my support, if you want I’ll show you how many girls cheer you up on ig sending you pictures at the osè. Rather, it seems you need a miracle both for how you drive and for your appearance. But don’t worry, I’m good at fixing things...at least those that aren’t about your ego." Heeseung smiled maliciously leaned on a slab leaned his head and looked at you with a defiant expression
«Ah, my ego. I didn’t think you liked it so much. Or maybe it’s just that you’re afraid I’ll win, so you should stay up like 24 hours a day to check every social or your mailbox if you find some pictures of me with not only my prize but also with girls and I do some shit?»
You took a step closer and looked him straight in the eye
"I don’t care to be in the middle of the action, Heeseung. I’m interested in you winning, finally, and bring a little joy to this team that works its ass every weekend. But the miracle you’re referring to is becoming more difficult. You are tired, aren’t you?"
«I’m not tired, Y/n. Just frustrated. I want to win for Ferrari, you know. But... it’s not easy.» closed his eyes for a moment because he was tired and could not wait to lie down on the plane.
«It’s not easy... when things don’t go as they should.»
You sighed and looked at him, he looked like a helpless puppy put in a cage of lions who would eat him and did not help the thick dark circles under his eyes.
"I know. But the pressure won’t help you run faster. Neither will your ego. Maybe you should just take a break... and maybe sleep a little since you haven’t slept more than 8 hours?"
Hee looked up at the sky and with an ironic smile said to you
«Yes, because sleep is the solution to all my problems, right? It’s not like I’ve been trying to sleep for the last couple of months... I tried natural herbal pills, medicines, anti-stress pillows, hypnosis, sleeping with Jungwon, sleeping in the motorhome, and other shit»
sighs and shakes his head
«But, of course, you keep giving me advice and making fun of me. I’m sure that another 'everything is fine, surely this evening you will be able to sleep' on your part will do me miracles.»
"I never made fun of you Heeseung and you know better than me that I’m worried about you. But since you’re so stubborn, maybe you should stop being a superhero and accept that even champions need a shoulder to lean on. You’re human too, Heeseung and sooner or later you’ll find a solution to your insomnia problem and you need to sleep at least a couple of hours even on the shoulder of a random person."
«So, are you suggesting that I fall asleep on your shoulder, Y/n? Weren’t you the one who didn’t want to be touched by anyone, would you grant me such an honor?» he looked at you amused as you raised your eyes.
"You’re a lost cause, Heeseung was a way of saying what I told you to sleep on someone’s shoulder. But don’t worry, if you want to fall asleep on my shoulder later in the plane, go ahead"
Heeseung looked at you amused and raised his hands in surrender
«Okay, okay, I give up. Let’s do it then. But if I can finally sleep, I’ll buy you a ticket for a concert of those Korean bands that you listen to.»
You opened your mouth slightly surprised by how much she knew about you and smiled but in a genuine way.
"Let’s give it all Heeseung, there is nothing to lose!"
The plane is almost empty, with a few team members sitting in the back of the cabin, some chatting, others resting. You were sitting by the window, immersed in reading a romance book that they were all talking about on #Booktok. The soft light of the plane illuminated the pages and your face was focused, as if you were living every word of history. Heeseung was sitting across the row and bored himself to death. He needed a distraction, so he got up and stood by you and took a sneak peek at the book.
«So, Y/n.. another of your love novels? I hope Prince Charming comes soon to save you because otherwise, you will find yourself at 50 years old still fantasizing in your house in the countryside full of cats»
"Are you always so sarcastic, Heeseung? Better to stay in a house full of super cute and cuddly cats than having a person like you in the house! You better not have your ego ever come up to the level of one of these books' protagonists, or you will never find your white horse or sword fighting to save your princess." You said without lifting your eyes from the book but with a funny smile
Heeseung made a gesture of stabbing his heart and looked at you with a grin.
«But come on, Y/n! Let’s be clear. Do you think that the Prince Charming of these books is really what happens in a relationship? With broken hearts and promises of eternal love? Please, what you read is practically unreal in this society»
You finally raised your eyes, raising an eyebrow and looking at him badly.
"I guess you’re more realistic. Instead of waiting for the prince charming, maybe you should accept that you are not invincible. And a Ferrari is not enough to change who you are, I know that inside you hide a boy with a thousand fears and that it could be the "prince charming" for at least one girl out there if you open your eyes and behave like a normal guy and not a womanizer." You said, touching slightly the part of his heart covered by a wide sweatshirt
Heeseung laughed, shaking his head and staring at you
«I wouldn’t say that I’m a 'prince charming' type, but at least I’m a driver. And with my talent when I have the high-performance car I’ll be the king of the track and maybe of history. There is no white horse, only racing tires and a roaring engine.»
You were slightly amused by his answer and returned with your eyes on your book.
"Ah, well, everyone has their way of feeling like a hero, but this year there is another hero on the track and that’s not you but Sunghoon with his Red Bull. But you can still think it’s all that easy if it makes you feel better."
Heeseung slightly leans to see the title of the book and looks for it on the internet and starts laughing reading that is a sport-romance about a hockey player and a kind of singer and the trope is "Enemis to lovers and Tutoring". While he was reading he felt his eyes getting tired and he hands his face and is jealous to see you so alert and focused even after countless hours of work.
«I will pretend not to have read the plot Y/ n, meanwhile I comment that it will be another book where the boy is perfect and has 0 weak points and represents perfection»
"If you think I’m looking for perfection, then you don’t know me at all, Heeseung."
With a fun air, moves a little closer to you, trying to peek better at the pages and have the opportunity to observe you.
«So what are you doing with these books, Y/n? It seems that you are waiting for your 'knight' but you know better than me that he does not exist in real life»
You looked at him for a moment, amused but also a little annoyed by his insistence. He moved even closer and kept on making jokes until you closed the book and looked at it with defiance.
"You’re unbearable, Heeseung. I read these books to escape from reality and find some peace and to have some laughs for what happens in these super romantic books but someone named Lee Heeseung does not leave me alone"
Heeseung raises his hands in surrender, but he can’t help laughing. After another minute of silence, he realizes that you had put on headphones and you were leaning with your eyes closed at the window and his expression softens, although it still does a little cynical fake.
«Okay, okay, enough with the jokes. Just... you’re right. I’m tired, and maybe I’m talking in vain. But seriously... a little rest would not hurt me.»
You felt his sincerity hidden under his facade, you can not help but shake your head.
"It was just a joke, Heeseung. I know you don’t like the idea of admitting that you need a break. But if you want to sleep, maybe you should get comfortable, instead of being condescending with me. Try to close your eyes and relax a little we have almost 3 hours more flight"
Heeseung, who has never liked to admit that he is vulnerable, tries to appear uninterested. But, after a few more minutes of tension, without thinking too much, it lets go and leans on your shoulder inspiring your sweet scent but at the same time floral.
Heeseung sighed, almost whispering.
«All right, all right... I give up. I don’t expect miracles... but maybe a little sleep.»
You were not completely surprised by that gesture but you looked at it for a moment and you said nothing. It’s more of a spontaneous gesture from Heeseung, who finally seems to admit he needs some peace.
After 10 minutes you were listening to Taylor Swift and chanting it in your head until you felt a slight breath next to your neck and opened your eyes and watched Heeseung sleeping, who breathed with a relaxed breath and even his face seemed relaxed rather looked completely abandoned to his sleep. You looked at him incredulously and a small smile formed on your face, and at that point, Jungwon, his teammate who had seen the whole scene from the other side of the plane, came up with a look of pure surprise.
<< Can’t believe it... really. This is a miracle, maybe we found the right cure or person for Heeseung. We were all completely stupid or unaware you were always here with us>
You looked slightly at Jungwon and I did no with my head
"I didn’t do anything he's just tired, Jungwon"
Jungwon shakes his head, watching Heeseung sleep peacefully for the first time in weeks, and looks at you with a grin.
Heeseung wakes up slowly after 3 hours, stretching with a slight groaning. He slept like he hadn’t done in weeks, but as he moved he felt a discomfort around his neck. He sits better in the seat and looks down...only to realize that his arm is wrapped around your waist. Even worse, her head is practically resting on your breast.
It freezes and the eyes open. His mind runs fast, trying to figure out how to make up for it and how he got to sleep leaning on you for hours. The image of him, sleeping in that position, seems compromising: He, the "great flirt", now transformed into a puppy that clings to you as if you were his pillow.
«Oh, my...sorry! I don’t know how... I didn’t mean to... I mean, it wasn’t intentional!» pulling out the arm with an unnatural speed
you had been motionless not to wake him up and you looked at him with a mixture of irritation and disbelief.
"It’s not like you can use people as a human pillow, Heeseung. I hope you slept well at least because I... don’t."
Hee looks at you with fawning eyes, a little embarrassed but sincerely sorry.
«I swear, I didn’t notice! It’s... well, you were comfortable and I hadn’t slept like this for an eternity...»
Before he can say anything else, the sound of a giggle interrupts him. Jungwon, sitting a short distance away, turned with a funny expression and a smartphone in his hand. It’s not hard to guess that he was watching the scene for a while.
<< Well, good to know. The solution to your sleep problems was not complicated Hee: you only need Y/n next to yourself as a human pillow!>> With a mischievous smirk looked at you and Heeseung
You gave Jungwon a look that could burn up a Ferrari engine, but he doesn’t seem to be the least bit intimidated. On the contrary, he turns completely towards you by placing his chin on a seat, ready to continue teasing.
"Don’t put yourself in it. It’s enough to put up with him, let alone you."
He raised his hands in surrender but with a glaring
<< Hey, come on Y/n, it was just a joke. But seriously, look how he’s been born again! I haven’t seen him this calm in months. Maybe your problem is already gone, Y/n is a kind of sleep talisman."
Heeseung, still red in the face, tries to answer but he gets stuck, clearly in trouble. He doesn’t know how to react: on the one hand, he would like to continue to be a bad boy, on the other hand, he feels like a child who has been caught in the act.
«Stop it Jungwon. It’s not like that! It’s not my fault I fell asleep and Y/n was just... there.»
<< Ah, sure. 'Just there.' So much 'just there' that you were wrapped like a koala around her. >> he said with a clever smirk
You were unaware of the situation and got up from your seat with a strong gesture, the book under your arm. She’s tired of both and ready to leave that embarrassing scene behind.
"Fantastic. You are a dream team I understand why everyone says that you are made for each other as a duo in Ferrari. Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to prepare myself mentally for a new race weekend, who knows what dramas will come out." You said looking at Heeseung in particular
Jungwon turned to Heeseung and spoke
<< You know, I think Y/n could really be your medicine. Or at least, your antidote against insomnia. >
«But stop... It’s not like that. It was comfortable. And then maybe you’re right. I don’t know how, but I slept well."
Jungwon takes another photo with his phone, this time of Heeseung who seems thoughtful, and shakes his head laughing.
<< I don’t know, Hyung. I think Y/n is your good luck pillow. Maybe we should patent it as part of the team>>
«Come on, Jungwon. Let’s get off and stop taking pictures before Y/n finds you and destroys you.»
As they head for the exit, Heeseung is surprisingly in a good mood, despite the embarrassment. He would never admit it openly, but for the first time in a long time, he feels rested and even a little happier.
Montreal GP (Canada)
The afternoon light is perfect. The clear sky reflects on the calm water of the river, creating a dreamy backdrop for the Prada photo shoot. Heeseung and Jungwon, dressed in elegant suits and luxury shoes, pose with a surprising naturalness for two F1 drivers.
You were there as always on the go: setting up contracts, managing fans huddled behind the barriers, and overseeing every detail to ensure everything went smoothly. But as you turn, you notice Heeseung with an absent-minded look, sitting on a chair between one shot and another. The fatigue is on his face as the makeup artist approaches him with a flirtatious smile. Gently, he fixes his hair, then bends slightly to attract his attention.
'Looking forward to seeing you on the track, Heeseung. You’ll be great as always. Maybe you could bring me a special pass?'
Heeseung looks up, but can’t even pretend to smile. He puts his hand on his face, sighing.
«Yes, sure... thank you. But first I have to sleep at least five hours in a row without waking up if I want to be great on the circuit.»
The makeup artist, surprised, laughs nervously, thinking she is joking.
Well, then stop going out and about! That’s why you’re so tired, right?'
At those words, Heeseung slightly straightened up on the chair and looked at her with a serious expression, almost exasperated and a little annoyed because he wanted to be remembered as a Ferrari champion not as an obsessive from the parties.
«I haven’t been to a party in weeks. The last time I saw a club, they were still playing songs from last year. My problem is not dancing too much... it’s that even when I’m still, I can’t turn off my brain.»
The makeup artist seems to not know how to respond, and she quickly moves away, a little embarrassed.
On the other side of the set, Jungwon, who witnessed the scene, burst into a low-pitched laugh. You were engaged with a contract, lift your eyes in time to see Heeseung lean tired on the chair.
<< Hyung, I can’t believe it. You were so rough on her! You’d usually be the first to flirt with me, but I know your charm is slowly disappearing. >>
«Ah, yes? Flirting? Not even the way that word is written, Jungwon. I’m too tired to even think about it.» He said, standing with his hair and slapping himself on the face to wake up,
Jungwon keeps laughing but the joking tone fades when he sees how exhausted his teammate is. You approach him by observing.
"Heeseung, maybe you should take a day off after this shoot. It wouldn’t help anyone to see you collapse on the track Sunday, I’ll cut you off at a small event in Montreal"
«Thank you, Y/n. But every time I try to rest, it seems to me to waste time. As if I was wasting an opportunity to improve, I could train or I know how to watch the telemetry of the machine but the problem is that I am exhausted.»
You crossed your arms, looking at him with an expression that is halfway between reproach and understanding.
"You’re not wasting anything if you take care of yourself. And for the record, you look more dead than alive. Even the products and make-up artists of Prada cannot cover certain dark circles."
Jungwon laughs again, trying to lighten the atmosphere.
<< Y/n is right. Maybe you should seriously ask for a set of Prada pillows made extra-sized for you, maybe those help you sleep better. >
Heeseung giggles slightly, shaking his head. Despite the fatigue, he is grateful for the presence of the two. He would never admit it openly, but Jungwon’s irony and Y/n’s concern help him to keep his feet on the ground.
Heeseung stands up and stretches and looks at you.
«Don’t worry, I’ll sleep. Sooner or later and when I’m well rested before I beat all the competition on the track and then I’ll go to celebrate, Y/ n is for a while that there are no dramas about me or gossip!»
The free practice had gone surprisingly well. Heeseung had found a good pace, the team was satisfied, and even the journalists seemed less insistent. However, as he walked in the paddock towards the Ferrari camper, he looked like a rag. The dark circles were deeper than ever, and his movements showed how tired he was.
In the living room of the camper, Jay and Sunghoon were waiting for him and both had noticed that something was wrong, but they also knew that Heeseung hated to admit his weaknesses.
'Hey, Hyung. I got to show you something. Maybe I’ll give you some advice on how to be Pole tomorrow.' said Jay smiling with a grin
"I hope it’s a new race strategy because everything else is a blur."
Jay hands him the phone, showing a photo taken by Jungwon. In the image, Heeseung sleeps soundly with his head resting on your shoulder, his arm around your waist, while you look completely stiff and visibly uncomfortable.
'Look at this. The real winning strategy: it’s the human cushion. Maybe we should add it to the race plan for Sunday.'
Sunghoon, sitting a short distance away, bends forward to look at the picture better, bursting with laughter.
<< Oh my God, Hyung, you’re like a baby who can’t sleep without his favorite blanket! >>
"It’s not what it looks like! It was just... boh, a coincidence. I was tired and she was there."
'Sure? Because you don’t look so random in this picture. You look rather... comfortable.'
Sunghoon with a clever smile
<< Maybe you should do a scientific experiment. You know, to see if it’s your antidote. But to do it right, you should sleep with it. And I mean really sleep, not do the usual things you do with girls>>
Heeseung looks at him with an expression between amused and disoriented.
"You two are impossible. And no, it won’t happen. It’s Y/n, okay? She hates me enough without me asking her that."
But later that night, as he looked at the clock at 10:30 p.m., something stuck in his head. He really needed to sleep, and against all logic, he couldn’t get out of his mind the possibility that you could help him in some absurd way.
With a sigh and against his "values", he stood up and headed for the door of your room. Knocked twice, then leaned on the doorframe with his usual flirtatious grin, trying to look casual despite the heart beating hard and opened the door, crossing his arms and looking at him suspiciously
"What do you want, Heeseung? It’s late. Shouldn’t you be sleeping already?"
Hee bowed his head, a Playboy smile.
«I was thinking... maybe you want to keep me company. You know, let’s talk, read one of those romance books or something.»
You stared at him, raising an eyebrow. You know that tone and smile, and you usually can’t stand it but there’s something different in his eyes: there’s no usual security, and under that mask, he looks really tired and vulnerable.
"Heeseung, spit the toad. Why are you really here? I don’t think to talk about books."
«Okay, okay. You’re right. I just... can’t sleep, and the last time, on the plane, I slept so well. And I thought maybe...» he looked down, scratching his neck.
"...that sleeping next to me might help you again. I understand?"
«More or less. But don’t get me wrong! Nothing else, only of course if you also do not want to try something as beautiful as me. But this evening I just want to sleep. I swear.»
You would want to kick him out because you can’t stand him but at the same time he seems hurt if he came to you, one of the few people who stood up to him and that you didn’t fall into his flirtations. You sighed and opened the door to let him in.
"God, what am I doing wrong to deserve to see it 24 hours a day? If I agree, promise not to snore and not invade my side of the bed. If I catch you touching me"
Heeseung raised his hands in surrender and smiled at you
«Promised. I’ll be more discreet than a cat»
"If I regret this decision, I swear you will never see a contract signed by me again."
Heeseung smiles as he enters the room, but this time it’s a genuine smile, lifted. Maybe for once, she will let herself be helped.
You were standing in front of the bathroom mirror, with a seemingly endless collection of bottles and creams arranged neatly on the shelf. The Weeknd resonates in the background from your phone, filling the environment with the sensual notes of "Earned It".
On the other side of the room, Heeseung was leaning against the bathroom door, watching you with a funny curiosity. He’s not sure what he’s looking at: the complex skincare routine or you with only a slightly wide shirt and short shorts that made him go crazy.
«Are you sure you want the ticket for that Korean band of K-pop? Can I give you all this, god how much money are you spending on skincare, are you sure that everything you’re putting on your face is not... excessive?»
You raised an eyebrow while gently smearing a cream on your face
"Heeseung, if you could understand something more than soap and shampoo, maybe you wouldn’t have the skin of a 12-year-old under stress. These steps are necessary."
«Don’t overdo it. My skin is perfect as it is. But, tell me, is this all for me? Are you trying to impress me or is it for your future prince charming?»
You puff silently but can’t help but giggle as you grab another bottle.
"For you? Don’t make me laugh. I do it for myself and when I’m old I won’t need to get my face punctured. Although maybe you could learn something instead of standing there humming The Weeknd like a teenager in love."
Heeseung pretends to be offended, taking a hand to his heart.
«First of all, The Weeknd is also one of my favorite artists. Second, I’m not humming... I’m singing with passion.»
With a mischievous smile, he begins to hum the refrain of "Earned It", emphasizing the words with an overly intense look towards you:
«Cause, girl, you’re perfect... You’re always worth it... » Isn’t this a perfect song for both of us? You know, with your obsession for perfection and my natural charm?"
You stopped for a moment, staring at him with an expression that was somewhere in between fun and disbelief.
"Maybe you mean it’s a song about how hard it is to win someone’s favor? Yeah, maybe he’s in. But trust me, you’re not exactly the romantic protagonist he describes."
Heeseung laughs and leans over the sink next to you, staring at you as you put on eye cream with extreme precision.
«You know, if I were your romantic protagonist, I would be much more convincing than those perfect guys that you read in your books, I could make you feel the same things they make their "loved ones" feel but in a real way. And you wouldn’t need all these creams, I would make you shine naturally!»
You stared at him with an exasperated expression, but you could not help blushing slightly.
"Can you stop flirting for five minutes? Amazingly, you can find the energy to say this nonsense even when you seem on the verge of collapse."
Heeseung chuckles, raising his hands in surrender.
«All right, all right. But I know that underneath you like this whole Y/n thing, and you’d be super bored working with people like Jay or Sunghoon, right?»
You didn’t answer, just turning off the bathroom light and heading for bed. And he still follows you smiling.
As you lie down, with Heeseung visibly calmer but also a little stiff, you observe him from the underside.
"Why do you seem so uncomfortable? Has anyone ever asked you to just sleep with someone or do you always chase them away before trying to sleep?"
Heeseung moves slightly, staring at the ceiling. It’s hard for him to admit things, but you don’t let him out.
«It’s not exactly... what I’m used to.»
You can’t help laughing, covering your mouth with a hand so as not to wake up any neighbors.
"Relax, Heeseung. I won’t jump on you. You can relax for once in your life."
He turns to look at you, with an expression between the amused and the mortified.
«Thank you for the reassurance. Not that I was afraid! , you would rather sleep with a wolf than with me knowing you, Y/n»
"No, of course. You’re not afraid of anything. Except maybe to admit that sometimes you need someone."
That phrase leaves him speechless for a moment. But as he closes his eyes and finally lets go, he realizes that Y/n may be right.
The morning light was filtering through the window, illuminating the hotel room. You had been awake for a few minutes, but it hadn’t moved yet. You were held back by a strange feeling. Perhaps it was the weight of Heeseung’s arm that, while sleeping blessed beside you had moved too close to your breast.
You sighed, trying not to think too much. You simply had to move it without waking him, that’s all, and gently took his wrist, but at that moment Heeseung moved.
Instead of walking away, he murmured something incomprehensible and pulled you even closer to him, as if you were his personal stuffed animal. His hand, meanwhile, slipped under your shirt caressing the skin of your side in a distracted way, until its fingers reached your back, gently touching your spine.
You felt a shiver all over your body. It was a completely unexpected feeling and not to happen especially with Lee Heeseung.
"I can’t believe it. This is a nightmare. "
He, meanwhile, was sleeping soundly, with a puppy-like expression completely unaware that his head was resting close to your neck, the messy hair touching your skin and tickling you. You tried to move a little bit more but the grip tightened slightly and you held your breath. Heeseung moved slightly, his face sinking a little deeper into his neck.
«Where do you think you’re going?» He murmured in a husky voice, still soaked with sleep.
You felt a shiver running down your back. "I didn’t want to wake you," you whispered in a neutral tone.
He chuckled softly, a low laugh that vibrated against your skin. «Don’t worry... I wouldn’t wake up for anything in the world if it wasn’t for you.»
You looked up because even in the early morning he was flirting and there was always that usual pinch of mischief in his voice. Before you could answer, you felt his hand slip under your shirt, so slowly that it seemed studied.
"What are you doing?" you asked, trying to keep his cool.
He caressed your side uncovered, the touch light but enough to make you feel the skin burning. «I’m thanking my miracle cure» he replied. «I haven’t slept so well in months... and you made it all possible.»
You stiffened, but you did nothing to stop him. You felt Heeseung’s hand move gently as if he were trying to memorize every line of your body. The warmth of his fingers was almost hypnotic, and for a moment you let go, closing your eyes.
«You know, you should relax more often» he continued, his voice soft and sweet. «You are not like the others... And I like this.»
"Don’t be stupid, Heeseung, they’re not like those perfect models you hang out with. And anyway, I don’t like physical contact, so..."
Before you could finish the sentence you felt his slightly calloused fingers touch a cape and unintentionally you raised your back and he lifted his head, his dark eyes staring at you with an unexpected seriousness. «Don’t say nonsense», he slowly lifted your old pajama shirt and began to kiss you from the navel with light kisses until they reached your breast with one hand he squeezed it slightly and then laid his lips and started to tease you; he would lick it, slightly nibble it and hold it for you «You are beautiful, Y/n. More than you can imagine. And I don’t want you to get paranoid about these things, do we understand?» you nodded your head and Heeseung kept leaving little kisses all over your body and with his big hands he held one side of you and the other always a tit
You looked down, trying to hide the blush that was coloring your cheeks. "Heeseung..."
«Shhh» interrupted you, placing a finger on your lips. «I’m not flirting. Not this time, god this breast is made for my big hands and I want to make you feel like my dick is already hard just because of you, Y/n.»
You look uncertain, But there was something in his expression that made him soften and he laid slightly above you with a quick movement he rubbed his length into your pussy still covered by some short shorts and succinus misery was hard, and for those few seconds. You heard it could have been imagined that it was also great. "Look, if you want to thank me, do it by winning on Sunday, okay?"
He laughed softly, a laugh that seemed to dispel all tension. «All right, boss, but if I win I want something in return» You saw how he looked at your whole body and after a while stood up and winked at you before leaving.
Heeseung, who has just left his P2 qualification, heads to the interview area with contagious energy, ready to do his usual show. He’s smiling, charming, and was terribly annoying to you.
You were a few steps away from him, with your phone in hand, recording every word to avoid misunderstandings or fractions that could turn into tabloid headlines. But as Heeseung was getting in front of the cameras you knew he wanted to make a show.
The first journalist hands him the microphone, smiling.
Journalist 1 :
"Heeseung, you missed the pole by a few tenths. Do you think the race step will be enough to turn things around tomorrow?"
Heeseung :
'Sure, tomorrow I’ll give it all. But if you want to know my strategy in detail... I promise that I’ll explain it to you, as long as it brings me luck.'
The emphasis on the word "luck" is accompanied by a wink that makes half of the room laugh. You snort loudly, attracting the attention of one of the press officers who looks at her confused.
With the second journalist, however, Heeseung is at his best.
Journalist 2 :
"Tomorrow will be a tough race. Sunghoon seems to have an advantage, but do you think it will be a duel between the two of you?"
Heeseung :
(with a mischievous smile)
'My duel is always with Sunghoon, but you know what? If I had you by my side at the wall box, I would win without problems.'
You put down the phone with an incredulous expression, mumbling.
"Eight hours of sleep and he’s already turned into the usual serial flirter. I should have kept him awake."
When Heeseung comes back to you, visibly satisfied with himself you stare at him.
"Congratulations on the qualification, Casanova. But if you don’t win tomorrow, I swear I’ll take that microphone and make you eat it."
«Calm Y/n, you should be as refreshed as you were this morning with me! It was just to keep the atmosphere light, in this place they are all so boring and obsessive with the coldness of Sunghoon."
You slapped him lightly and pursed his keys.
"Relax, of course. Too bad I have to answer your fans in delirium on Twitter.»
You were a bundle of nerves sitting in the Ferrari box watching the race of Heeseung. From the start, Sunghoon had taken the lead, taking full advantage of the straight speed of his Red Bull but Heeseung, however, kept calm, studying every corner of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, known for its technical braking and the famous "esse" of the Casino.
The decisive moment came in the last ten laps, when a small collision caused two cars to come out and the Virtual Safety Car came out that allowed Heeseung to switch to softer and fresher tires. Upon returning to the track Hee flew with his red fire car and showed all his power and agility, bend after bend began to gnaw the advantage of Sunghoon.
With three laps to go, the overtaking reached the final chicane just before the Champions Wall. With a breakaway at the limit, Heeseung joined Sunghoon and, despite fierce resistance, took the lead in the race with an impeccable trajectory.
Crossing the finish line in first position, you had tears in your eyes because it was 6 months since you did not win and the whole team hugged you and you ran under the podium.
On the podium, his smile was brighter than the sun reflecting on the gold trophy. He sprayed champagne with a contagious energy, wetting Sunghoon, who laughed defeated, and Jungwon, who occupied the third step. You watched from the edge of the track, crossing your arms but with a smug smile.
"He’s finally back to win, at least now he’ll stop tormenting me for how much he missed winning." You muttered in a low voice
When the celebrations on the podium ended, the group headed towards the river near the circuit, a special tradition to celebrate Canadian Grand Prix victories. The crowd of fans had already gathered along the banks, shouting and cheering as the drivers and team approached the water.
Heeseung was euphoric, almost in a trance. With a sure gesture, he unlaced the top of the pilot’s suit, letting it fall on his hips and with a fluid movement, he also took off his shirt, revealing his sculpted chest and toned muscles under the sunlight.
The crowd exploded in shouts and applause, as dozens of phones took photos and recorded videos.
You stopped suddenly when Hee took off her shirt and your eyes were fixed on the slightly tanned skin but especially in his toning muscles that covered all of his toned body.
"Oh. My God. Really? Did he have to take off his shirt? Wasn’t the Playboy smile and the Greek statue body enough? This is ridiculous, tomorrow there will be all the social media invaded by him." you said in a low voice not making you heard from anyone.
You tried to look away, but your eyes inevitably returned to follow every movement of Heeseung. The sun was shining on his skin, and the champagne drops from the podium were still visible. He ran his hand through his hair, wet and messy, before approaching the edge of the river.
Heeseung turned to you with a provocative smile, having noticed your eyes following him before he jumped into the river and yelled at you.
«Y/n! What are you doing there all serious? You’re not judging me, are you? Come on, admit it, this physique is not bad, right?»
"I’m not judging you. I’m just trying to figure out if you have a social media contract, since every move you make ends on the net!"
Heeseung gets up, diving into the water with a spectacular dive. When he emerged, he passed his hands over his face and hair, casting another amused look, and winked at you.
When he got back to the small wooden pier he came close to you who had a light towel and looked at you with a smile that would have made thousands of his fans crazy but it was only for you at that moment and with a little laugh she undid her head and small drops of water mixed with champagne they flooded your body and a slight redness took possession of your cheeks and you thought:
"This guy will drive me crazy. And not in the professional sense of the term."
«So? Have you seen something that you like?»
"Yes. Your suit, which for some reason you’re not wearing. Do you want a tip? Get back to putting it on, before someone makes an awkward photo montage."
Heeseung laughed
«You’re too stiff, Y/n. Should you relax a little bit by maybe taking a bath... with me?»
You pointed your finger at his still-wet chest.
"Keep it up, Heeseung, and you’ll see that the next bathroom is with the whole PR team, but to save yourself from trouble."
«All right, all right! Only because today you were my medicine even off the track.»
When you returned to the hotel, you promised yourself to ignore him for the rest of the day. But as he walked before you, you could not help but take one last look at his carved back.
"There is no hope. This guy is a continuous temptation the red devil."
It was Saturday night and you were finally enjoying some relaxation at home, away from the chaos of paddocks, interviews, and especially Heeseung. You had dinner with your friends and after weeks of going through the circuits, you felt like a normal person for a moment. But, of course, your phone decided to remind you who you really were: the PR of the most problematic (and irresistible) driver of the moment.
While your friends were laughing at another joke you saw the phone screen light up with the name you feared most: "Heeseung".
With a heavy sigh, you already know that you would never spend a quiet evening.
"What do you want, Hee?"
On the other end of the line, Heeseung seemed agitated, almost desperate and there was music in the background.
'Y/n! Thank goodness you answered. Look, I went out with Jake and Jay at the Twiga, just to relax a bit, nothing like that... but a paparazzo caught me with a glass of wine while talking to a fan.'
You closed your eyes, holding back an exasperated groaning
So? Where’s the problem, Heeseung? It’s not the first time you've ended up in these situations, by now people know that you have lived off the track and that you go to have fun and I doubt it will be the last.'
'Y/n, it’s not like it seems, and don’t get mad! I was just having a chat, I swear. The fan came over, asked me for a picture, and then he said something to my ear. But I promise you, nothing strange! Just that, you know how paparazzi are, It seemed... well she was kissing me"
You feel a mixture of frustration and resignation grow inside you.
"Heeseung, I don’t need to know the details. Really. You can do what you want with girls, it’s not my business but I’m just tired of this situation..."
On the other side, there was a moment of silence. Then, Heeseung spoke in an unusually serious tone.
'Y/n... Nothing happened. Really. You know I don’t want to ruin everything with this nonsense especially now that I’m adjusting the rhythm on the track." You got up from the restaurant table, away from your friends to find a quiet corner.
"So, if there was nothing, why are you calling me? You know I’ll do what I always do: I’ll fix the situation, I’ll make the photos disappear, and keep your image intact. But, honestly, I’m starting to think you enjoy making me feel bad, every time I’m not with you you always do one."
On the other side of the line, Heeseung looked almost wounded.
'This not so. I know I give you a lot of work, but I didn’t want this thing to come to you. I just... I trust you. And I don’t want you to think bad of me.'
"I don’t think badly of you, Heeseung. It’s my job. Only... sometimes it would be nice to spend a Saturday without having to make up for something."
Sorry. I do. I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again."
"All right. Send me everything: photos, videos, anything that can help me solve it. And, Heeseung... Maybe next time you won’t get too close to anyone, even just to talk. You know that it takes one click to blow up the internet."
Heeseung laughed slightly but in a sincere tone
"Promise. Thank you, y/n. You’re the best, you know?"
"I know. And now leave me alone, I want to finish the evening without any more surprises."
All right, all right. Good evening...and don’t think too much, see you in Belgium.'
You hung up and snorted, god could not stand it when it was like that and the words of Jay resonated in your head << You know that Mercedes is looking for a PR for next season, if Heeseung makes you work even when you shouldn’t think about it because I don’t cause trouble and my other teammate too>
Spa Gp (Belgium)
The Friday and Saturday passed quickly, between technical briefings and free practice. Spa was a track that gave many riders the creeps, but Heeseung loved it. The fast curves, the slopes, the iconic Eau Rouge: it was everything he loved about racing and gave him that adrenaline that made him vibrate with its light.
When the time came for qualifying, Heeseung looked like a man on a mission. The atmosphere in the paddock was tense, dark clouds over the circuit threatened rain, but he was as concentrated as ever. He got into the car, ready to give his all and take another pole position because he was a magician in the dry ride.
In the first fast lap, he had already shown that he was fit. He was clean, precise, and almost surgical in his trajectories and his radio engineer was enthusiastic.
Engineer :
"P1 for now, Hee! Great job, but Jay is behind by a tenth."
His second lap was even more impressive. He passed the Eau Rouge with the gas completely open, the car seemed to dance under him. In the final part of the track, under a sky now black as ink, he managed to gain more fundamental milliseconds.
When he crossed the finish line, the clock was clear: he was in pole position.
Engineer :
"P1 ! Pole position! Heeseung! You’re a monster!"
Heeseung banged his hands on the steering wheel for happiness and when he turned on the radio he shouted 'P1 baby! The car is a lightning bolt I can’t wait for tomorrow to fight for victory.
At the finish line, Heeseung raised his fist as he stepped out of the car in victory, while everyone in the Ferrari pit was exploding with cries of joy.
After qualifying you were back in the Ferrari motorhome, watching the replay of Heeseung’s lap. It was amazing, as always. But you couldn’t share the team’s enthusiasm.
When he came back, still euphoric, he approached you with that smile that usually could melt anyone.
«So, my favorite PR what does she think about the ride? Impressive, right?»
He passed you to go up in his motorhome with crossed arms.
"Yes, it was a good lap. But we’ll see tomorrow in the race. Pole doesn’t count if you don’t take the result home."
Heeseung froze, slightly surprised by the coldness in your voice.
«Wow, you are the queen of the tifo, eh? Come on, Y/n a little enthusiasm! I gave everything today and it’s not everyone to pole at Spa!» You raised an eyebrow, keeping your icy gaze.
"Heeseung, you know that what you do on the track is great, and don’t need me to tell you, you’re fated and if it’s not this year next year you’ll be fighting for the world championship."
He stopped, surprised by your voice. He had noticed the hardness of your words and never had seen you so distant.
«Come on, don’t do that. What’s wrong?»
You were unable to hold back, opened the door of his motorhome room, and entered both.
"You’re treating me like a puppet, Heeseung! Every weekend it’s the same! You get what you want, flirting with everyone, and you always get in trouble, the executives of Ferrari call me to solve your problems even during weekends off. I’m tired of being your PR!"
Heeseung tried to approach, but you stopped him with a cold look.
"I want to look around. Maybe it’s time I had a chat with someone like Jay or Sunghoon, see if in Mercedes or Red Bull they treat me as a person and not as a slave of your ego."
Your words struck Heeseung like a stab. His heart stopped for a moment, and an unexpected wave of jealousy swept over him without warning. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. The idea that you could look around, away from him, drove him crazy.
Hee this time approached you and with a low, furious voice said to you
«Don’t make me say what I think. Don’t test me.»
He had an expression of anger on his face and you did not back down, rather challenged him with your gaze with the same intensity. The tension between you was palpable, the air seemed to overheat. Then, in a sudden and determined movement, Heeseung grabbed you by the wrists and pushed you against the wall.
«If you think that someone else looks at you like this or that you deserve in their life you are wrong, now I’ll show you what it means to be with me, Y/n.»
His warm breath touched your skin, and you were paralyzed for a moment. But there was no fear in his eyes. Only anger and frustration.
"What do you want from me, Heeseung? Why can’t you treat me like a person?" And I pushed him slightly to run away from him
His body was contracting, but at that moment something in Heeseung snapped. He wanted you, only you, and felt the anger grow inside him like a fire. He came even closer, so much so that his breath felt caress your skin. Then, without warning, he kissed you with force.
The kiss was intense, almost violent as if trying to communicate everything we could not say. Heeseung’s mouth moves against yours with a rush that surprised you but however much you wanted to resist, you couldn’t ignore the attraction between you two, that tension that had bound you from the beginning.
He gently pulls your hair with one hand and holds your jaw with the other, deepening the kiss, practically sticking his tongue in your mouth and establishing dominance from the beginning, Your hands fall on his muscular shoulders and you draw him closer to you and your hips come desperately close to his to quench your thirst. It is a huge boost to his ego of Heeseung when he hears you moan something indestructible and with his big brawn lifts you slightly and puts you in the small raised bed where before the race they did the massages, you slightly spread your legs with one hand and stands between you two. You had the perfect hair, the cherry lip dye that you used to use in your face, the chest that lifts and lowers, and the icing on the cake for Heeseung was to see you wearing a bra as sexy and red as his car as well as his favorite color.
« Fuck, did you do it on purpose to wear this bra? Who would have thought that my PR wore sexy braces so short that she didn’t look like a good girl anymore.»
Heeseung had begun to attack your neck, his lips clinging to every inch of your skin and leaving beautiful red marks. You would tell him to be careful not to make them too evident but you were in a state of trance and pleasure when you felt a hand of Hee come down where your little skirt was to slightly pinch your thighs full, Until he made little circles inside your already slightly wet panties and starts rubbing against his hand, not caring how Hee couldn’t help but smile as he moved his lips towards your full bosom.
He wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you as close to him as possible before catching one of your nipples in his mouth and slowly pulling him into the tufts that he had long for his mullet haircut.
"I am not your property, Heeseung. You do not own me. I will never be." You heard a light laugh coming from the boy who was sucking your nipples in his closet and this time he pinched the flesh of your thigh and screamed from pain but also from excitement. " Heeseung"
Hee laughed and his hands found the edge of your red Ferrari skirt that you had to use as a uniform during the summer gp and thanked the stylist for giving him this opportunity to touch you thanks to that skirt.
«Mmm, if you weren’t mine you wouldn’t be here moaning my name Sweetie! See your panties wear my favorite PR» Heeseung saw that you had a red lace outfit even underneath your panties and formed a grin bowed slightly and took one of your legs if he put it over his shoulder and with his fingers slightly calloused you he moved his panties and smiled when he saw you were already totally soaked for him.
You leaned against the cold wall while Hee put two fingers in. At first, he was slow and careful. He wanted to give you the chance to back off if you didn’t feel comfortable enough to do all this with him but when he realized that you really wanted it, he allowed himself to relax and start his work. His steady rhythm did not last long: every second that passed, he pushed only faster, wishing to hear you groan again and again. He kept looking up from your chest, watching your expressions and smiling to himself as he alternated sucking your breasts, especially your full and hard buds, and left marks everywhere in your body. You began to move your hips towards his hand, desperately chasing even more pleasure.
His fingers went deeper and from your mouth came sounds that Heeseung was ecstatic and thought every time he touched himself when he thought of you.
«Tell me,» said Heeseung. You heard it but did not answer. «What it’s like to get fingered by a guy you can’t stand but at the same time that makes you feel all these feelings and we’re doing it where everyone could hear or see us, Y/N!» you have silenced Hee by quickly pulling his hair, your free hand clings to his shoulders, your nails are embedded in the skin exposed by his toned and muscular physique for the many hours of training.
"Hee...it’s so beautiful" you replied moaning and the boy next to you was overwhelmed with adrenaline and groans for praise. You were soaked and with the thumb tickled even more your clitoris and did not stop giving pleasure just as you were about to reach orgasm Heeseung believed that he came too while he felt liquid wet boxer shorts and had slightly hard balls. It hides its face in the hollow of your neck, now stimulating your clitoris with its thumb and making you go into a frenzy.
«Come for me», mumbles right against your ear. A shiver runs through your back before you succumb and the knot in your stomach melts. Heeseung kept you while you were coming, trying with all his might not to go with you because not only would it be embarrassing but also because you would surely have made fun of him.
Heeseung pulled out his fingers once you calmed down. You smiled because you still did not have the energy to talk and say what you thought about everything that happened in that closet...nor did you have the energy to do anything else. Heeseung smiled at you with a grin as he was busy wiping his fingers using his mouth, naturally and winked at you and his look became darker, more intense, and without saying a word, he slowly released it. He pulled down your skirt and went to get the shirt that he had taken off and put it back on you as if you were his favorite doll and put in your ear gently a fluttering tuft that you had in your hair and slightly lowered to your ear and said «It doesn’t end here, Y/n. You are mine and you will be forever»
In Belgium Heeseung won the race and in Hungary, things went well for Hee came p3 but Y/n did not want to sleep with him or stay next to him for that 2 gp pretended that nothing happened between them two and stayed as much as possible with Jungwon. In Holland, Hee felt very tired and wanted to sleep with Y/n but both he and she were embarrassed and they were mostly stubborn, which was a disaster for the Ferrari in general Hee went crashed and when he came back in his boxer pissed and looked coldly Y/n, He absolutely wanted to talk with you but before there were the briefing and interviews to do and when he arrived in the room was exhausted and slept and no 4 hours, on Sunday they arrived in the points area miraculously both him and Jungwon. He just wanted to relax and find a way to talk to you and perhaps knowing all your habits knew where you were at that time and a small smile took possession of his face.
He knew you were probably in the pool, as you often did after a hard day, trying to relax. When he arrived he saw you swimming smoothly, your arms drawing elegant lines in the water, fully concentrated as if you were trying to clear your mind. Heeseung watched your body move, as usual, but this time it wasn’t just admiration. There was desire, anger, and a strange feeling of possessiveness that he could not suppress.
He approached slowly, his heart beating fast and when you noticed him you stopped looking at him with that mix of confusion and challenge that he liked so much but now it seemed more difficult to face. Without thinking too much, he took off his shirt, despite the back pain, and immersed himself in the water with determination. Every fiber of his body cried against his physical state, but he wanted you close.
«Don’t run away, Y/n. I’m tired of playing these games»
You tried to get away but Heeseung reached out, took you by the wrist, and held you firmly. His warm breath touched your skin and you felt a shiver run down your back. You were trapped, but not in the way he thought. It wasn’t fear, you were confused by all the feelings you had for him.
«Why don’t you look at me? I won’t let you go and you know it. I want to see you give in.» You stared at it, and the beating of your heart increased while your body struggled between the desire to escape and the attraction that felt growing. Then, without warning, Heeseung came even closer, his hands touching you gently, but with an intensity that left no doubt. It slid down your skin, from arms to hips, and you couldn’t help but feel that sensation.
«You are mine, Y/n. You always have been, only you don’t want to admit it.»
His words were a sweet poison, a game you no longer knew how to play. You felt Heeseung’s hands touching you in a possessive way, as if he wanted to mark you as if he wanted to remind you that despite your attempts to get away from him you had never been truly free of him.
You tried to push him away but Heeseung wouldn’t let go. With a quick movement, he kissed you. It wasn’t a sweet kiss, but a violent one. His lips pressed against yours with urgency, while Heeseung’s hands went into your legs and carried them around her waist. You pushed him slightly, but he, with a cry choked by desire and frustration, pulled you even closer and you tied your arms around his floor.
«Don’t pretend that it doesn’t drive you crazy. I know what you want. I can see it in your eyes.»
You looked up and started to pull his hair slightly while he sucked your neck and bit it slightly and between the breathless breaths you said:
"You can’t... you can’t... not with me, I don’t want to be another one of your stupid awards. I’m more than this Heeseung."
Heeseung kissed you again, but with a fierce rage as if he was trying to take possession not only of your body but also of your soul.
«I need you Y/n, not as my prize but as my girlfriend. God, from the first day I saw you, you drive me crazy, you’re the only one who can hold my head, the only one who hates my flirting, and the only one who can understand me and see not only the F1 driver but also my most vulnerable part» You felt your heart beat like crazy and you did yes with your head and while accompanying you in his room he never took off his hands from your body and when you reached his room immediately pushed you into his large bathroom where from the large window of saw all the panorama of the city and the sunset in the darkness.
You could feel the heat radiating from his body, feel his gaze crossing your face. His eyes stopped on your lips and smiled again, With the air of fun and when he put you under the jet of water shivered a little until you felt the big hands of Heeseung soapy gently all over your body and made you a small soap bubble by pressing lightly a jar of soap to relieve the tension between you two and when he saw you laugh slightly he hugged you and washed your hair gently. «God, how good it is to feel the bath foam I use on you Y/n, I can not wait to fuck you and to smell your scent against mine» he leaned forward, catching your lips in another kiss and you moaned needy in his mouth, pressing your hips against his and he unlaced the little triangle costume you had and when your breast came out with one hand he held you still and with the other started to bite your sensitive bud both because of the excitement but also of the hot water coming down and It gave you slight chills After a while he moved to release the piece under your bra and bent slightly. You groaned as his teeth sank into your thigh, giving a strong sucking so as to leave its mark. " I guess I won’t wear skirts and shorts so soon I’ll have to put on the autumn uniform even with 30 degrees..." You didn’t mean it because God, wanted everyone to see the signs that he left for you.
«I guess not, every time I saw you in that red-hot skirt I always felt my cock getting hard because of you» he growled as he left you some more lollipops along the inside of your thighs, enjoying how you were writhing under him and groaning his name.
His tongue slid along the outer part of your pussy, flattening against the length, then sliding his tongue up and down the crack, plunging just past the entrance to your core. The little jolts and tremors that flowed through your body, together with your choking moans and high-pitched whimpers were absolute perfection for his ears, and Hee turned off the hot water and buried her face as deep as possible. It was intoxicating, the taste of your pussy, sweet and slimy with your excitement, and practically drooling on it was seriously fucked by your body, how you moaned his name, how you teased him every day, and how only you could understand it and have it all for yourself.
«I thought you couldn’t stand me or to be honest that you hated me at the beginning of the F1 season but now look at you are here moaning my name» You pulled Heeseung’s hair slightly and said, "I never hated you, but sometimes you’re so damn annoying that it’s hard to be your PR or stand by you."
"God, please," you complained, the voice that grew faint in a slight groan at the end as Hee ate your soggy pussy as if there was no tomorrow. Until then you had forgotten what pleasure was. His long callused fingers surrounded your wet pussy hole, pushing past your folds to massage against the tensed muscle with every dive of her mouth.
"Hee is even more beautiful than last time, please!" Your back bowed against the cold shower tiles, eyes closed and a low moan in your throat, your body quickly reached the point of no return. «Come for me, Sweetie, only for me»
You pushed your hips forward, rubbing you but you were ripped from that moment of pure bliss when he stuck a long finger inside you and shoved it back and forth quickly pumping it.
His name slipped from your lips in a whisper, his fingers stopped half-thrust. Your pussy was shaking around his finger and kept moving his hand through the bedtime shocks, letting the moment of bliss last as long as possible, watching you keep on wailing and wailing as you came.
«You are so beautiful, Y/n», he whispered as he slowly kissed your lips, his eyes kept wandering up and down the length of your naked figure and he turned on the water and trembled at the contact next to him. " I need you, Hee, please" You started to pump slightly its length and smiled at you «Mm, my favorite PR that asks me to be his, who would ever have thought that my impure dreams become real?» He smiled and leaned forward again, kissing you with small kisses on the neck. His free hand wandered on the lower part of your back caressing your bottom.
«Do you trust me?» you made a sign of yes and slowly took you in his arms and slammed you against the cold shower tiles and slowly with a dry push slid its full length inside you in one single strong and decisive blow and you yelled slightly for the cold contact of the wall and its length within you.
"Hee" you mumbled his name, your legs were wrapped around his hips, and his cock kept diving into you, encountering your desperate whimpers as your hands clenched around his strong biceps that held you tight. Heeseung cursed and dropped his face in your neck and drops of boiling water fell between your bodies and moved a lock of hair from Heeseung and groan pressed against your neck when he took another push.
«Holy shit, why we have not done it before, this body, this pussy is made only for and for no other man» You writhed in place as his hand was clinging to your thigh and around the curve of your back. "Heeseung".
«Fuck Y/n, say my name again, like that. You’re so fucking beautiful with my dick inside of you.» His forehead leaned against yours, nibbling your lower lip, and told you something you would never think of hearing in your life «I love you so much, you make me crazy from morning to night, only you can» He pushed his hips into your tighter hole stronger.
"I love you too, I don’t know...how it happened or when" his lips kissed you avidly, passionately, moving as sharply as her thrusts, Water slippery and you felt his thumb tickling your clitoris, and small moans of pleasure came out of your lips when with a sharp push hit your G-spot.
«Let go, Sweetie, come everywhere on my dick like a good girl you are!» It takes a couple of long, powerful thrusts before you find yourself yelling his name, coming hard on his dick. Your hips are contracting as his cock is sticking deep inside you, The sperm splashes into you and you feel so good after so long after a while Heeseung comes out of you and holds you against his chest, and leaves you some slight caresses that start from the bottom of your back to reach your hips.
«Are you all right? Or was it too much for you, sweetie?» Look up slightly and see him for the first time with a sincere smile, his hair all ruffled and attached to the forehead and with red cheeks because of the heat.
"it was perfect but don’t get your head in the sand, already your ego is big enough, and maybe something else too" You looked slightly down embarrassed, and after a little bit felt Heeseung’s hands take your face and kiss you with lips. «I have to tell you a secret but also you, don’t get too excited» You looked curious and felt his breath next to your ear and said «You’re better than a race won on the last lap»

Summary: Basically what the ask says
A/N: hey! I hope this is what you imagined, sorry if some of these are ooc😞🙏
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanos / Player 230
જ⁀➴ Before he really knew, he'd constantly make your life a living hell, basically making fun of your shyness. He'd make certain comments to which he knew you wouldn't react to or would try to persuade you to vote in favor of the game containing.
જ⁀➴ You'd constantly tell him off and to leave you alone. It didn't really help, though. Thanos would just sit down next to you and talk your ear off about what he wanted to do with that prize money.
જ⁀➴ When you stood up to leave, rollung your eyes at him, he grabbed you by your wrist.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?" Thanos blurted out, giving you an offended glare. "You know, it's really rude to just leave a conversation like that." When you tried to get out of his grip, your sleeves rode up your arm, revealing scars you weren't proud of or wanted him to see. When you realized it, he did too, immediately letting go of you.
જ⁀➴ Since Thanos knew what it meant to struggle with mental health he did actually leave you alone for now. But, after the next game, he approached you again and sat down next to you. "I'm sorry about yesterday." he said, patting you on the back.
જ⁀➴ He related to you in a way, but didn't want to ask you about what went on in your private life. Now you just appreciated that he seemingly didn't overstep any boundaries anymore and even checked up from you every now and then.
Se-mi / Player 380
જ⁀➴ You and her had been a duo ever since she came up to you and complimented your looks. Even if you denied it or not, she'd repeat it multiple times, winning you over with her charm quickly.
જ⁀➴ You two had the same mindset on a lot of things, originally voting 'O', thinking you were able to survive one more lousy game. That game was a death scare. Nothing about it was funny anymore. You appreciated your life too much these days to die like this.
જ⁀➴ When the second favor didn't go your way, both Se-mi and you now voting 'X', you felt helpless. One night, the two of you were sitting on her bed, just talking about your past and how you got to this point in the first place. While Se-mi was more secluded, only telling you that 'there are so much worse things she had to face when she got out' you trusted her enough to tell her about a sensitive time in your life.
"I'm not really secretive about this anymore," you pushed your sleeves up, revealing faded scars along your forearm, "but yeah. It was all pretty fucked up. The whole debt thing didn't make it any better." Se-mi looked at you with raised eyebrows, her fingers tracing the lines on your wrists. "I knew you were strong. Don't worry, we'll get out of here."
જ⁀➴ She put in double the work to protect you — She just wanted you to start a better life with that money and be happy, free from debt and all of it.
Cho Hyun-ju / Player 120
જ⁀➴ Hyun-ju noticed from the start that you were more secluded, more prone to cry, panicked easily. It was clear to her that you were struggling with this situation, perhaps even more than that. She made it her task to help you as much as she could, comfort you and keep you close to her and her group.
જ⁀➴ You'd often rant to her and tell her what bothered you after she reassured her she'd take care of anything possible. Hyun-ju was the anker you needed in this shithole and you just appreciated her very much. Everything she did seemed to be out of genuine interest and not just to gain your trust and abuse it.
જ⁀➴ Accidentally, Hyun-ju did catch a glimpse of the scars you were so desperate to hide. She didn't mention it, feeling like it wasn't her place to comment on it. Her heart did break for you, though.
જ⁀➴ From then on, she made sure to speak softer to you and distract you from all the horror around you.
Hyun-ju hugged you tightly against her chest, her arms engulfing your figure. "Tonight things could get a bit scary," she mumbled into your hair while she rested her face against your head, "I just want you to know now rather than find out later. I'll keep you safe, you know that." You just nodded, reciprocating the hug after a few moments.
Nam-gyu / Player 124
જ⁀➴ When he found out, as you didn't make the effort to hide them or anything, he did refrain from provoking you in any way. Nam-gyu related, as he considered his drug use not to be the best thing he could do to his body.
જ⁀➴ Both of you hung around in the same group, since Thanos really wanted you on his team, constantly giving you compliments and flirting with you. It annoyed him to a degree, scoffing everytime Thanos tried to talk to him about how pretty you were, how much he wanted you, give you the world. In Nam-gyu's opinion, he didn't get you.. didn't get what you went through, at all.
જ⁀➴ One evening before lights out, the two of you were teasing each other about something and laughed together — something that rarely occured amongst the other players.
"Want me to show you something?" Nam-gyu asked you, leaning a bit closer. Chuckling, you replied with a 'mhm' and watched him pull up the sleeve of his jacket, revealing skin tracks along the inside of his elbow. You raised an eyebrow: "Oh?" You took his arm to get a closer look, tracing his skin with your fingertips. "Well, we all have our stories, huh?" The man nodded at your wrists, making you look at them too, like you didn't already know what he meant.
જ⁀➴ The both of you grew close to each other, much to his amuse. He was a junkie, you were depressed.. it's like a disaster in the making. But, you didn't care. He was sweet and weirdly kind to you — Not in the way Thanos was. You made sure to hug Nam-gyu a few times more after that, in case it could be the last timd you'd get to do that.
Kang Dae-ho / Player 388
જ⁀➴ You were glad to be on Gi-hun's team from the start, since Dae-ho and you got along really well. As a former Marine, which he was super proud of obviously, he declared he'd protect you immediately after you met, making you laugh.
જ⁀➴ He was kind, strong and funny, but maybe a bit oblivious at times.
During the six-legged pentathlon, you two sat next to each other, cheering the current active team on. Yelling and screaming filled the area as they crossed the finish lind just in time, making everyone erupt in cheers. Dae-ho immediately hugged you with joy, excited to see the five live another day, at least. After pulling back witha laugh, you gave him a small high five with your sleeve rolled back. When noticing scars along your wrist and forearm, the former marine gasped pretty loudly. "What?" you asked with genuine concerning, fearing something was wrong with you. "Oh, I'm so sorry," Dae-ho pulled your sleeve back over your arm. "Dude," he looked at you with wide eyes "it's fine." You needed to hold back a laugh.
જ⁀➴ Dae-ho felt so bad to havs accidentally seen something you've been struggling with, that he couldn't help but apologize profusely. You repeated to him that it wasn't a big deal for you and that you were working on this problem, but he didn't stop nonetheless.
જ⁀➴ You thought it was cute how much he seemed to care for you and how often he came up to you just to tell you that he appreciated you. And Dae-ho did, he didn't just say that to make you feel better.
Park Min-su / Player 125
જ⁀➴ Min-su is just shy over all. When he noticed it, he wouldn't say a thing. He'd be dead silent, maybe even a bit scared to talk to you. He was just scared he'd make it awkward, somehow hinting that he knew about your scars. Min-su was just someone who overthought a lot and even you noticed it.
જ⁀➴ After a bit, it annoyed you — The sudden lack of his presence next to you, the fact that he wouldn't properly talk to you anymore, it was all just weird and confusing. So, you decided to ask him directly.
"Did I do something wrong?" your voice wasn't stern, but Min-su could tell that you were kind of upset. "Ah, no-" he quickly replied back, shaking his head, "it's really not you!" He looked at you with his typical innocent face, making it hard for you to keep pressing him about this matter. "Then what is it, seriously?"
જ⁀➴ He explained what he saw and said that he just felt so sorry. Well, at least he didn't speak to you because he didn't want to hurt or upset you, which was really thoughtful.
જ⁀➴ You'd expect that he would now be the one to comfort you or something, but no it was the complete opposite. Min-su seemed to worried about you and kept asking you how you were feeling or if anything bothered you. You had to keep reassuring him that those times were in the past and that he didn't have to be so worried.
જ⁀➴ It was really cute though, so you let it slide.
Kim Jun-hee / Player 222 (implied fem!reader)
જ⁀➴ Since Jun-hee and you were pretty close in age, you two had found each other right away. You kept telling her that she needed more protection, or at least an ally like you, on her side sincs she was pregnant. You weren't really serious about that, just chuckling when bringing it up, but ut definitely made Jun-hee trust you a lot more. It was a critical situation she was in and she was glad to have you by her side.
જ⁀➴ You even banged on the door in the middle of the night to make the guards take her to the bathroom when she was to shy to do it herself.
As ths pink guard brought you to the womens bathroom, Jun-hee held onto you, clearly being in pain. A few minutes later, you were washing your hands and tried to fix yourself up, looking a bit disgusted in the mirror. "What is it?" Jun-hee emerged from one of the stalls, chuckling. "Man, I look like a damn zombie. Look what this place has done to us." Instead of getting a reply, you noticed that she was staring at your arms, at your scars. You had taken your jacket off for convenience and kind of forgot about them. "Oh, I'm sor-" Jun-hee interrupted you, "No! No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have stared like that!"
જ⁀➴ Obviously everyone had their struggles, but now her own kind of seemed insignificant next to yours. You were doing so much for her and she didn't even know that you were struggling. She should've thought of that.
જ⁀➴ When voicing that thought to you, you felt bad that you made her feel like that. With a hug, it was all sorted out. Jun-hee cared deeply for you and she could tell that you cared for her like that, too. It was nice to know that someone had your back in a place like this.

♡.ᐟ sanrio rings!
Tumblr media
how proplayer!rin accidentally reveals his relationship with you to the public
warnings: none // wc: 929
notes: my first post ever, hi LOL. ooc rin perhaps? female reader (reffered to as rin's gf)
Tumblr media
rin forgets he even has the plastic ring on. so when he gets interviewed post-match and the cameraman zooms in on his right hand, which currently grips the microphone, he's a little confused.
"mr. itoshi!" the reporter exclaims, "what an odd choice of jewelry! and on the ring finger too, are you perhaps engaged?"
what? engaged? rin plasters a frown on his face, ready to go off at the woman.
"i have no idea what y-" rin begins, but cuts himself off. oh shit, he thinks. of course, on his ring finger sat the stupid little kuromi ring he had gotten with you in shibuya last week. his mind races back to the memory, and he groans internally.
"rin, please! let's get matching ones!" you squealed as you dragged him towards the staggering rows of gachapons deep inside the city's neon lit streets. the whole shop was filled to the brim with machine after machine, and one in particular had caught your eye. it was one containing comically large rings of sanrio character faces, ranging from cinamoroll to my melody to kuromi. "fine, if that's really what you want to spend 400 yen on," he had sighed. he knew you would somehow rope him into wearing the diabolical little accesory. "i really hope we get my melody and kuromi! y'know it's basically canon that they like each other, right?" you told him, laughing. "i hope you know i'm not familiar with any of the sanrio lore," rin began. "but- if it's with you, it's not so bad…i guess." the last part was barely audible. you pushed him toward the white machine, with a little "you first!"
to his fortune (or now his misfortune, he figured) he did indeed manage to obtain the black kuromi ring you had wanted him to wear. his attention then shifted to you. you were crouched down over the machine, and, wait…why were you performing a summoning ritual? you had pulled up my melody pictures on your phone and waved it around like a mystic. "you're silly," rin deadpanned. "but it'll work, watch this!" you shot back. the tips of your finger grasped the small wheel of the gacha machine and you turned it slowly. an opaque pink ball dropped out of the prize slot. "i did it! see?" you said smugly, giving rin a pointed look. "now you have to put yours on, so we match!" rin sighed, but he slipped the ring onto his finger, choosing the exact same placement you had done for youself. the right ring finger? "hey- you do know what this means right?" he asked you, a faint rose tinting his cheeks. you giggled. "it's a promise! we're now engaged under the laws of sanrio!"
"so? what's the news?" the reporter inquires again. rin snaps back to the present, having temporarily forgotten he was in a post-match interview and on nationwide live television. oh, you must be watching too, he realizes. itoshi rin could only come up with one explanation now: the truth.
"i got it with my girlfriend the other day, she wanted to match," he says with all air of nonchalance that he can muster. "girlfriend? mr. itoshi, you're in a relationship?" the reporter almost drops her microphone out of shock. rin feels his cheeks heat up, and he wants to smack himself for blushing on live television at the mention of you. "yes. i have been in one for quite a while now," rin starts. "and she's the sweetest, most stunning girl in the entire universe. now if you're done asking me about my private life, do you have anything for the real game? or are we done here?" "o-oh, yes…" the reporter babbles on about something he had done in the match and rin wraps up the interview at light speed, wanting to leave and to see you immediately.
when rin finally knocks on the door to your third floor apartment (and notices the glittery sanrio stickers plastered onto it) you open it almost instantly, with a finger pointing at his face. "i saw your interview," you say, dragging him into your living room where he promptly sprawls out on the sofa, hiding his face in his hands. "i can't believe you forgot to take it off, it's been three days!" you laugh. "but…it was cute. really, thank you. i know how hard it must have been to tell the whole world about us," "it was worth it, for you," rin says softly. he's a bit embarrased now. yet he's running his fingers through your silky hair now, twisting and turning it, his lilting touch teasing your exposed shoulder and making you giggle as if being tickled. you notice the kuromi ring, still sitting on his ring finger as if it was the most rightful place for it to belong. he grabs your own right hand, lining your fingers side by side with his, grinning a little at the pink my melody on yours. "hmmm, i love you too, rin" you reply to the boy. he pulls you closer and inhales deeply, breathing in your nectarine-like sweet perfume. "you should come to my game next week in my jersey," he mentions suddenly. "i mean there's no point in going through the agony of having lukewarm people online trying to guess who my girl is, i want everyone to know its you." you can't help but smile up at rin. his azure eyes shine with something fragile and genuine, love. you give him a soft, small kiss, and he sighs contentedly. "i'd love to," you promise.

a/n: if you've made it this far i luv u, this is inspired by the sanrio rings i got with my friend haha

Side bit of AEIWAM Lore for funsies: Akon and Shuuhei were roommates for a long time and still close friends.
What happened was Akon got a work release from prison as a kid so that Urahara could use him in the 12th*, but when Mayuri tried to promote Akon to seated officer some years later, Yamamoto put his foot down and demanded Akon actually receive some formal training as a shinigami before he would be allowed to command other shinigami. So An adolescent Akon had to enroll in Genryusai Academy the same year that Shuuhei FINALLY passed his entrance exams, and the two were assigned roommates.
The introverted and socially unskilled Akon latched onto outgoing pretty boy who makes friends with everyone Shuuhei like a remora latching onto a speedboat. He frequently asked (and STILL asks) Shuuhei the most are-you-a-space-alien social questions and took notes re: the answers. Shuuhei never noticed anything odd about Akon because he's operating on golden retriever "well they're not kicking me so I guess we're BEST FRIENDS FOREVER" rules.
The undiagnosed dyslexic/ADHD/OCD and six other major aniety disorders in a bucket Shuuhei latched onto "called out and corrected the teacher on day one and then assumed control of chemistry class" nerd Akon like a remora latching onto a speedboat. Akon never did Shuuhei 's homework for him, but he did basically personally tutor Shuuhei by tism ranting 24/7, and proofreading his work. Akon never noticed anything odd about this, because ofc you share knowledge and correct people mid-conversation, what the fuck do you think science is FOR?
Both were promoted to Seated Officers immediately after graduation but they still lived together in a shared off-division apartment for several years until Shuuhei made lieutenant and Akon became president of R&D and they both had to move into thier divisions full time, but they're both Members of the Shinigami Men's Association, and co-presidents (and only members) of the Seireitei Rat Fancy association. Shuuhei has had pet rats ever since he was a poor kid in the Rukongai, and Akon since he was a little kid in prison, and it was one of the things they really bonded over when they were in the dorms together, much to thier RA's horror.
Shuuhei wants to breed the softest, cuddliest rats with the longest lifespans possible. His prize animal now is "Florence", a doe with a positively satin-smoot coat approaching her twelth birthday with no real signs of aging so far. Akon is trying to breed rats large enough for him to ride into battle and his prize animals are a pair of Bucks called Gilbert and Sullivan who are approaching 40lbs apiece. They both spoil thier rats rotten.
Another thing they have in common is a love of Mahjong. Shuuhei learned to play (and make money on it) from his grandmother. Akon was taught the same by the other inmates at the maggot's nest, and in each other, finally found worthy opponents. Of course, Mahjong is best played with four people, so each of them has been trying to train others to play with mixed success. Akon has had made good players out of Nemu and 9th seat Niko Kuna (Mashiro's younger sister) but both of them are just as likely to want to play "Operation, but with a real body" and are not reliable partners. Shuuhei taught Tousen how to play and he's an exceptionally canny player and reliable partner, but often struggles to remember what tiles have actually been laid down, since his glasses tend to jumble the characters when trying to read the tiles to him.
Upon her return to Soul Society, Mashiro Kuna suggests they combine their interests and breed rats capable of playing Majong and both of them think about it for just a little bit longer than is reasonable.
---
*AEIWAM Akon actually hates Urahara's guts: While it was Urahara's signature on the work release, it was *Mayuri* that pettitioned that the child Akon be released from the maggot's nest. Mayuri really only wanted Akon for his expertise in biomechanics, but also did do the badgering of Urahara to get him out. Akon hates Urahara because when Urahara was in the 2nd division, he arrested Akon and threw him into the maggot's nest as a small child, just because he was born part Yokai.
Akon once described the debt he feels to Mayuri as "Imagine if a raccoon saved your life. Now imagine if the raccoon was a meth kingpin that could kill you with telepathy. You'd owe it forever but also. It's a little complicated, you know?"
This comes to something of a head after the winter war when there is a question about who is actually going to run the 12th as Mayuri is Goop, Nemu is emotionally compromised about him being Goop, Hiyori is only sort of qualified, Akon is even less qualified, Hikifune is in the royal realm, the 12th has completely locked down and gone on strike rather than let Urahara put one toe in the door, and there aren't that many captain-class people who also know... anything about scientific research or provisioning.
Yamamoto is forced to approach Tousen, who was forced to do all of Aizen's lab work is still in his mandated year of recovery and had been granted an actual, legal retirement by Yamamoto, to beg him to take over the 12th before they run out of food and/or the 12th actually explodes.

Heyyy could you maybe write some nam-gyu(player 124) fluff like hes only nice to you and otherwise cold so he doesn’t seem week in front of the other players, there’s barely any nam-gyu fics😭😭
Thank youu💗💗
~Only For You~
★🎸🎧⋆。 °⋆ Nam-gyu x reader headcannons
Tumblr media
requested 💌
a/n i LOVED this idea so much i thought i would do headcannons instead so i can write more little scenarios and get more into it:3
<3 throughout his past promoting clubs he would try and act cool/nonchalant sometimes in a rude way with his customers and/or employees, and he learned acting that way left people wanting to learn more about what he was promoting/respect him more and so it ended up becoming like his work attitude in order to make his club events more successful. he explains all of this to you in the beginning of your relationship, reassuring you its just for the money and he doesn't actually stand by anything he says or does and wouldn't ever. when you join him at his promoting nights he would refuse to act that way to you even if it was in front of someone super important:3
<3 going off of the first one, i think nam-gyu would prefer that you don't come with him to any clubs. first mostly because he doesn't believe that that type of environment is super safe for you and he doesn't want to risk you doing any substances/getting addicted to anything; and because he doesn't want you to see how he acts in front of the people he's trying to get business from. he thinks that you're better than the type of people he hangs around those nights as well as he just doesn't think you to deserve to have to see that side of him!
<3 he is super soft and kind to you in private, ever since he met you he started to prefer that side of him and dislike the feeling of having a fake, boisterous personality in order to gain the respect of people he's trying to sell club tickets to. he's a lot more introverted and kind when the two of you are in private and he really starts to prefer staying in with you over going out all night.
<3 one of his favorite things is coming home to you after working and being able to completely abandon his day and everything that came with it and just be himself and relax with you. he absolutely melts into you and loves the energy you give off. lets you know how much it means to him everyday!
<3 he uses substances a lot to uphold his extroverted, cool guy persona because he eventually gets exhausted of all of the late nights pretending to be someone he isn't and finds that using is really helpful even though he knows its not a good thing. this is also something he begins to want to stop doing when he meets you:)
<3 he really wants to stop his club promoting life for a more simple life with you where he can just be himself and not do so much overextending, but worries that he wont be able to find a job that pays as much as promoting does for him. he wants to be able to spoil you and doesn't think it would be right for him not be able to do that financially. he doesn't want you to have to work at all unless you want to, let alone be anywhere near the breadwinner of the household.
<3 he ends up going to the games after hearing the prize amount because he sees it as like a forced detox in a way; like he'll be away from any substances and he wont have to deal with any promoting stuff, and then hed have the opportunity to make a ton of money for you.
<3 you also get the card and want to join the games in order to pay off both of your debts and have a decent start at a new life together. you agree to do it together and use the winnings to pay everything off and buy a nice house and even start like a little coffee shop together or something:)
<3 during the games his persona becomes a lot more amplified because instead of doing it for his promoting he's doing it for a ton of money as well as for the both of your survivals. he also starts going through withdrawal from the stress of the games as well as if he had been using before he went there. this adds to his motivation to fit in at all costs when he sees what thanos has in his cross necklace. he doesn't like that you have to witness any of this but he likes that it ensures your safety being part of thanos's group. he makes it clear to thanos that you're with him for the games and nothing can change that.
<3 he reassures you that his behavior with thanos is nothing more than his need to win the games for the two of you, as well as ensuring your safety within a group. he lowkey makes fun of him with you in secret to make you feel better!!
<3 he compartmentalizes the other players as just people in his way of providing you the life you deserve; that them losing is just the two of you getting closer to winning and safely going home. the pills help him a lot with this; he knows that humanity and kindness might ruin his chance of winning for you, and showing mercy for the other players would result in thanos loosing respect for him. he knows that sticking with him will be of great assistance in winning, and he'll do anything to preserve that unless its something to you.
<3 if thanos starts to say something gross or mean to you or about you, nam-gyu shuts that shit DOWNNN! but in a very calculated way to not make him question their allyship. he'll say something like "lets respect the ladies." trying to sound joke-y but still meaning it.
<3 during mingle that man does not let go of you for a single second. even if it means not going with thanos he lets his demeanor fall a bit if it ensures you stay with him and make it through the game.
<3 when the fighting breaks out he does whatever it takes to protect you. especially after getting them pillz from thanos he purposely loses all sense of feeling bad for his actions because it just insures your safety even further. before he does it he reassures you its for your safety and because he wants to give you the life you deserve, and he means it when he says he'll do anything to give you that. "please just trust me baby, this all for you. for us." he says to you as he leads you to safety before lights out. "if you need me call for me and ill be here. i love you."
<3 when you get scared during the games and in moments like that he allows his demeanor to soften even if people are watching him. he wouldn't want the last thing you remember him doing to be him not being himself and being sweet to you. se-mi notices but thinks its sweet, especially because shes doing the same thing as him; faking it to thanos to be in his group.
<3 inside and outside of the games all he wants to do is protect and provide for you and he would do whatever it takes<3

Beds are a funny thing.
They are a revered sanctuary, a haven from the day’s troubles. Plush pillows and warm sheets embrace your body with a comforting touch, smelling familiarly of home. Sinking into it is nothing short of comfort. In a bed, you can shed all worries and aches away like another skin, all pretenses and masks slip away just for the night in the privacy of underneath the covers. If there is any refuge more dependable than a bed, well, you have yet found it. It is the ease that they bring is what makes a bed irreplaceable, yet it is this statement that makes a bed worth beyond its price: beds are a carrier of memories.
That fact used to comfort you. When you think of your bed, you think of waking up and the first thing that greets your eyes is snow white hair. You think of the strongest pair of arms cradling your body, shielding you away from the world with a tenderness like no other. In your bed is where whispered confessions and professed desires linger, where the most sacred and intimate gestures occur. In your bed is when those gleaming, most brilliant crossed pupils shine the most, the ones you love staring into. Golden rays would stream through the window and present your lover in the most ethereal glow while she slept with you, and during the night chill is when her warmth is the most tangible, ever present.
Beds are a funny thing.
Because today you wake up and it is the chilly air that first approaches you on a frosty morning. It is not the morning sun’s gaze that peers through the glass, rather, outside is just the dull gray of winter. You rise from bed and turn to the side, expecting the presence of her besides you. Yet all you find is nothing. It has been like this for many mornings and yet that gnawing, creeping feeling never fails to arise like clockwork.
It is a weekend. You glance at the clock. By this time, you would be making lunch with her. Yet you feel boneless, paralyzed and unable to move.
You shiver, goosebumps trailing up your skin. There is no one willing to warm you up, no one to coddle you in their arms, no one to arise to. The fading indent in the pillow tells you so.
The absence of her leaves you wondering if you had been with a ghost for all this time. And yet her fragrance wafts your nose and your mind tries lying to you that she is here. You think you see her, but when your vision blurs and you blink away the tears she is gone in one instant. All she leaves behind is heartache. What replaces where she should be is a lone stuffed animal, a black and white hare. Stitched into plush's eyes are red crosses, done by you so that it can resemble her.
It sits lifelessly on the covers, so innocently and assertively as if it belongs there. You want to squeeze your hand around its neck, exhaust its life out and replace it with the one who should be there instead. It is a fake that could never hope to imitate her.
Your implied staring contest with the stuffed hare continues even when you finally unclench your fists. It was a carnival prize. She won this for you. It was on one of your first ever dates with her. She had always joked about being jealous of it for always being in your bed and getting to cuddle you every night.
You want to ask her if she is jealous now. Or maybe she was not. You do not know which answer would hurt more.
You grab the plush and chuck it in some direction of the room with all your strength, telling yourself internally to remember throwing it away. (You know you never will).
A soft notification ping enters your ears. Your hand reaches for the night drawer, scouring the surface of it with your fingers before realizing you have not charged it overnight. A pained groan leaves your lips and you go to fumble through your covers to find it. When you finally do, you thumb for your notifications, pupils dilating when the message notification pops up. As your heart skips a beat, you click on it without hesitation, too fast to be able to catch the text sender.
Disappointment slams into your chest and leaves you winded, unable to grasp the wispy hope that disappears just as quickly as it came. Just your stupid boss. A groan would have left your lips if there was anything more but the numbness that creeps along your chest. Instead you close your phone, burying your face and prickling tears into the privacy of your pillow. Wishing you could have known better, you chide yourself for ever foolishly believing she would look for you once more.
Her perfume enters your nostrils again, and you curl around the pillow. The pillow is a poor substitute for her body. It lacks the neck that you love to snuggle in, the hair strands that tickle your nose, the arms that would wrap around your form, and the legs that would tangle with yours. Missing is the smooth skin, its scars and marks you love to trace, and its warmth, which usually shields you from the winter chill. Gone is the steady rhythm of the heart you loved listening to, or the gentle carding of your hair, or the chaste kisses that she would dot on your head.
You think you can not feel even your own heart beating. Maybe when she left, she had taken that too. She leaves, and what is left of you? Nothing. You sleep and lay like a dead person. You want nothing more than to cherish what is left of her, the small fragments of a torn relationship still yet picked up around your home. You close your eyes, the scent of her comforting you, the memories of the two of you swirl around in your head. If you were to never wake up, you would pass just the slightest more content.
At some point you must have drifted to sleep again, because when you find your phone again, it is already late in the afternoon. Distantly, you feel your stomach growl, but even hunger does very little to the emptiness that overwhelms you. With great effort, you will your boneless body to move, successfully rolling off your bed. Miraculously, you do not trip or fall on your way to the kitchen.
You glance at the stove and decide you do not even have the strength to lift the pan. Cereal for lunch(? Dinner?) it is. Again.
You reach for a bowl in your dishrack and find that there are no dishes in there–all of your dishes are in the sink. Right, you have not washed them in days.
Peruere was always one to wash them immediately after use. When the two of you first started dating, she would shoot you a glare everytime you did not do it. She argued that it saved much more time doing them then than doing a large pile later. She was always logical like that. You can still hear her voice, but this time, her voice is so much more distant than before.
The pit in your stomach grows, and you turn away from the sink.
You reach for your pile of foam bowls and sit down. You rise from your chair again upon the realization you do not have a spoon and resort to digging around in your random takeout crap drawer. Plastic utensils from Peruere’s favorite Chinese place litter there, along with napkins, wooden chopsticks. With them are different sauce packets. Who needs twenty packets of ketchup? Apparently the two of you.
Just eat your stupid cereal, you reprimand yourself, and you do.
How you came to this is a mystery. You were in a daze, and it is only when you drop your phone into your abandoned milk when you snap out of it. Expletives fly out of your mouth and you rush for the paper towels to recover your phone. As you are wiping the liquid away, you pause at the image of your phone.
You were scrolling through your Gallery again. This photo is of you and her, in front of a beautiful Sumeru beach. A vacation. You were beaming brightly and she, of course, dons that damning half-smirk. That same smile she had when she was thinking of something devious, and given her gaze–not at the camera, but at you–you were sure she was. She is breathtaking, beautiful and handsome in all rights, as she had always been, but in the sunlight and in front of golden sand, she is divine.
She loved that beach.
You did too.
Maybe you could love it again if sand could fill the hole in your heart.
The bowl and spoon is swiftly thrown into the garbage and you slog back to your bedroom, collapsing into the bed again. Whatever adult responsibilities you have, surely they can wait for another day.
Something comes over you the moment your body is embraced into the covers. Maybe it is in your one true space of safety you are possessed, emboldened as you open the Messages app. She is still the first contact, even though the last message was sent weeks ago.
Just 8 letters.
I love you.
I miss you.

A Fair Contest
So a little bit ago I drafted an idea for an AU where, instead of the golden apple saying 'to the fairest' it says 'to the most amorous king'
And instead of the ladies fighting over the apple, it's Zeus & Poseidon. In order to determine who exactly is the superior lover (and king + who gets bragging rights), the two brothers select one (un)fortunate mortal that both of them shall take to bed...
and the judge they select for their little contest is none other than Odysseus.
(Takes place pre-Trojan War. In fact there's basically no Trojan War to begin with. Also Odysseus is betrothed but not yet married to Penelope)
Consider this chapter 1 of this fic. I really hope I can finish it because I stayed up to almost 4 am writing this, which is amazing because I've been dealing with a major cold and writers block for a while now
Word Count: approx. 4400
There's no smut yet but I do confess to giving Ody a bubble butt. Also in a world where Ruthlessness never happened/is yet to happen... Poseidon has a thing for strong thighs & is absolutely smitten with Odysseus
Also in my head, I'm imagining Neal's character designs but I think I've kept it vague enough for now that you can imagine whatever designs you like

The wedding had been a most splendid sight, with revelry among both men and gods. The small mortal king, Peleus, was of course honored to host such a wide variety of the gods and have them witness his union with the divine Thetis. Zeus gave the couple his own blessing and permitted Dionysus to pour out his strongest wine for the occasion.
Well into the night, the attendees danced to a tireless band and feasted upon the finest foods available. Gods mingled with mortals, some sneaking off with a young maiden or cupbearer for some more illicit fun.
All was going well until the first beam of daylight shone upon a pedestal that no guest noticed before, where a golden apple awaited.
Curious onlookers clustered around it, wondering where it could have come from. The mortals believed the apple to be made of real gold, thinking it was a lavish wedding gift. The gods were equally mystified, knowing that something so perfect and beautiful could only be given by one of their own. Hera pursed her lips at the sight of it.
The king of the gods made his way to the center of the crowd, the other guests parting for him with their eyes averted in deference. He regarded the apple with mild curiosity, having a treasury greater than all of Greece’s wealth upon Olympus. A ribbon was tied neatly to the apple’s stem with a message embroidered upon it.
“To the most amorous king.”
Zeus chuckled at the oddity of this little present and moved to take the apple.
Only for another hand to grab it at the very same moment.
The two gods stared at each other.
“What do you think you’re doing, dear brother?” Zeus asked, the smile falling from his face.
Poseidon rolled his eyes and scoffed, “Taking my prize.”
“You?” Zeus said, his voice dripping with outrage, “You dare defy your king like this?”
Poseidon’s voice turned sharp and cold. “I am lord of the seas! The gift doesn’t say ‘to the king of the skies’, now does it? No, you read it yourself.”
The mortal guests, including King Peleus, began to make their quick exit from the venue. Some of the lesser gods were also making their sneaky escape, fearing the worst was about to come.
Hera approached her husband and wrapped her arms around his own, “Darling, it’s just an apple. If you want one, I’ve got a whole orchard full.”
It was true that Gaea, the very earth itself, gave Hera a grove of enchanted apple trees as her wedding gift. The trees were immune to all illnesses and sprouted fruit of pure gold all year round. In all likelihood, this very apple was stolen from the Queen’s orchard.
The god-king’s most favorite child appeared at his other side in an attempt to soothe his growing rage, “Father, listen to Queen Hera. This is a trick meant to sew discord, nothing more.”
Zeus ignored his daughter Athena as if she weren’t there.
“Let it go, my love.” Hera said, “After all, why have one apple when you could have hundreds?”
Zeus gave her a sharp look, his golden eyes burning with a harsh, radiant glow. The queen of the gods was so taken aback that she shrunk away under the weight of his glare. Zeus said, “I am the god of judgement! No matter how trivial of a token it is, I will not let my brother take what does not rightfully belong to him!”
Poseidon threw his head back and laughed, not one to be daunted, “Oh, is that so? And how will you prove that it doesn’t belong to me, hm?”
He tossed the golden apple into the air, catching it in his other hand. Zeus bared his teeth and snatched Poseidon’s wrist, unwilling to let elder brother even hold the thing.
It was now apparent to all the remaining gods what this was really about.
Neither king would secede when their pride and egos were in jeopardy. For either of them, letting the other take the apple now, after they’ve already started bickering, would mean admitting they were the more feeble lord, a less competent lover. And such a slight against their reputations would never stand.
“Ahem,” a voice said.
A lovely woman with flawless bare skin for all the world to admire, a translucent shawl draped around her arms and roses in her pale tresses, stepped forward.
Zeus barely spared her a glance. “What is it, Aphrodite?”
She smiled, though not without a hint of mischief in her eyes, “I think I have the solution to this little conflict of ours, one that will minimize any substantial damage to our family… or the known world.”
Zeus inclined his head in interest. Poseidon gave the goddess his ear, as well. Zeus let go of his brother and the sea god set the apple down.
Athena bit her lower lip, knowing that Aphrodite’s schemes were almost never more than just that: schemes. Games to amuse herself with. She had something else in mind.
Aphrodite snapped her fingers. A large, circular mirror gilded in silver and gold appeared in the air behind her. The surface rippled the same way a pond did when met with rainfall.
A beautiful young maiden with a long braid of black hair tended to her garden. The image rippled and was replaced with what was clearly a princess being dressed for the day by her servants. Again, the image shifted and showed a handsome young man in a short chiton as he shepherded his flock of sheep.
Aphrodite said, “Now, I’m sure you two could spend eternity bickering back and forth, boasting of your skills and past conquests, but as the goddess of love myself… why not have more of a practical examination?”
The two brothers exchanged a look, coming to the same conclusion.
“You want us to share a lover?” Poseidon asked.
Zeus added, “And have them decide?”
Aphrodite winked and gave them a cheerful smile. “Well, what do you say? There’s no shortage of pretty boys or girls across the land. Come, take your pick!”
Zeus stroked his beard, a few sparks crackling across his fingertips. Poseidon crossed his arms in contemplation.
“Father, Uncle!” Athena said, trying to catch their attention, “This is madness, can you not see?”
But neither god answered her. Athena was in disbelief.
All this over a golden apple that neither needed or really wanted. This was all about their reputations as accomplished lovers, which they shouldn’t even have considering they were both married men.
And Aphrodite, it was clear she was only doing this to make a story out of it, the way she and her son Eros loved to couple mortals together, only to break them apart. No doubt some terrible fate will befall the chosen victim, no matter who they named the superior lover.
In Athena’s mind, she could only imagine the loser of this game casting some bitter curse upon the poor mortal as revenge. But that was the fun of it for some gods, to see the doomed fate of some poor soul after getting mixed up with the divine.
Behind Zeus’ back, Hera threw her hands into the air before storming off, summoning her chariot pulled by winged horses to return her to Olympus.
Athena threw a disappointed look at Aphrodite before leaving as well, deciding to go where her counsel would be appreciated.

By mid-morning, Odysseus’ back and brow were already covered in sweat as he endeavored to finish the roof over his wedding bed before an unfortunate rain could sully his hard work below.
The house he was raised in was perfectly fine, but with all the servants and guards on top of his family, it was not the largest of castles. It was also an old thing in constant need of repairs. Odysseus always envisioned a proper palace atop Ithaca’s mountains, one where his own family could grow large and have plenty of space to themselves.
So, before the eve of his wedding, he endeavored to complete the house of his dreams for his new wife to enjoy. He started with their olive tree, a living symbol of his devotion to his betrothed. Odysseus labored day and night to carve part of it into one of the four posts for his wedding bed, taking extreme caution to not cut away so much that the tree would die.
The largest bough of the olive tree would overlook one of their windows, with a perfect view of the vast ocean beyond it. Odysseus already carved the other three bed posts and constructed the frame, but there was always more work to do. As the common larborers constructed the foundation and walls for the other rooms in the palace, Odysseus went to work constructing the roof for his bedroom.
With a sizable living tree in such close proximity to his quarters, he trusted no one but himself to complete the project without damaging it.
Taking up hammer and nails, hauling wood and stone, and fitting everything into place almost entirely on his own was unusual for a king. Odysseus knew this, but the labor brought him joy like no other. He couldn’t help but smile to himself, imagining opening the door for the very first time as a married man. He would carry Penelope to their wedding bed, built entirely by his hand, and spend the rest of his life with her.
Focus, he told himself.
For now, Penelope still dwelled in her natal homeland of Sparta. As soon as her new home was completed, she would set sail for Ithaca.
Odysseus wiped the sweat from his brow as the sun beat its rays upon his back. Maybe it was foolish to fear the coming rainfall, but he could see the grayish clouds on the horizon.
By midday, he was hopeful he could have the roof finished by nightfall. As Odysseus dropped from one of the wooden rafters into his nearly-complete bedroom, his tunic must have caught on a nail or perhaps a large splinter. He heard the sharp tearing of fabric and grumbled at the gash across his front. One of the room’s alcoves had some of his clothes, since he didn’t have time yet to build the chests or wardrobe.
Thinking better of a tunic, Odysseus merely replaced it with a rectangular length of cloth fastened at the waist. It was something his mother wove, a lovely shade of blue to match the sea, embroidered with red and white thread.
From somewhere nearby, he heard the familiar clicking of an owl’s beak coming to greet him. He smiled and turned around, draping his tunic over his arm as his mentor approached him in the form of a brown and white speckled owl. She sank her talons into his arm and flapped her wings as if in outrage.
He let her perch on the alcove’s lip as he fasted a leather pauldron to his left shoulder. She hopped back on and Odysseus could feel her talons clench and unclench even through the tough leather.
“What troubles you, Athena?” Odysseus asked.
He set out through the bedroom’s heavy oak doors, finding himself in a long hallway that was finished, but not yet furnished or cleaned.
She spoke into his mind, Sometimes, I wish I could belong to any other family but my own.
Odysseus chuckled. “I’m sorry to hear.”
While he loved his parents and sister dearly, he knew that Athena often butted heads with her siblings and uncle.
Odysseus counted the windows that still needed shutters and curtains, along with the patches in the roof that had yet to be filled in. Farther along, the great hall where they would entertain guests was still only a skeleton. Only half of the supporting beams and columns were installed and the whole place reeked of sweating men.
Athena paid the laborers no mind as the citizens of Ithaca bowed for their king as he walked by.
You know I’m not one for gossip, but I fear something terrible is about to strike the land.
“Is that so?” Odysseus asked, his smile dropping.
Yes, a terrible tragedy yet to come in the form of my Uncle Poseidon and my father.
A servant approached Odysseus with a serving platter. He took a cup of water and drank deeply, and snatched a small bowl of olives before going on his way.
“They’re angry with us?” Odysseus asked, fearing what this might mean for his people.
No, Athena said, accepting an olive and biting into the tender flesh with her sharp beak, Not quite, but their egos are yet again showing themselves. If you find unusual weather patterns in the next few days, pay them no mind.
“Ah, I see.”
In truth, he didn’t understand Athena at all. But she seemed in the mood to vent about her personal feelings and seeing as she didn’t do so often, Odysseus was careful to listen.
Athena clacked her beak in irritation. Odysseus bit into his own olive as he felt a sharp nibble on his ear before she started combing through his damp hair. She must’ve found something in his hair, a bit of dust or a wood chip, because he could feel her tugging at him.
How goes construction on the new palace?
“Every day, I can see the way it’s growing.”
Odysseus passed by a group of men sitting in a loose circle, taking swigs from a water skin as they fanned themselves. One caught sight of Odysseus and they all scrambled to their feet.
Odysseus held out a hand to put them at ease, “Catch your breath if you must. A tired man is more prone to making mistakes, and I will not have any in my new house.”
The men all sighed in relief and went back to their break, waving goodbye as he continued onward. Athena cooed to show her approval in his decision. He thought her mood was improving, but not a moment later, she said, I just can’t believe them sometimes.
“Oh?”
Odysseus thought Athena said her piece already. She clicked his beak right in his ear.
You would think that the god of law and order would have some sense in his head. But no! Apparently my mother Metis still possesses it. If only Father would listen to her, if not me.
Odysseus said nothing, having never heard Athena speak like this before, especially about her father. He thought it best to remain silent; perhaps Athena could complain about Zeus without punishment, but he knew far better.
Athena clicked her beak with a different sense of urgency and Odysseus gave her another olive. She held it in one foot while balancing on the other, dropping the pit when she was finished devouring the flesh.
“You seem awfully worked up,” Odysseus said, “Anything I can do to lift your burdens?”
Athena shook her head. No, I’m afraid this is something that no one man can solve, as frustrating as it might sound.
He crossed the central courtyard and approached the war room, one of the few nearly-complete parts of the palace, where his chief architects and advisors were waiting to update him on their progress.
Though Odysseus was primarily trained in the art of war, he was also well-versed in song and poetry, history, oratory, and arithmetic, all courtesy of Athena. He wasn’t an expert in architecture yet, but he had his own hand in designing the layout of the palace.
“Good day, my friends.” Odysseus said, parting the curtains that served as a makeshift door until the palace was fitted with proper ones.
One of his elder advisors squinted at Athena upon his shoulder. “My liege?”
Before they could go over any potential issues in the construction or their budgetary concerns, Odysseus wandered over to the window and let Athena take off. She disappeared through the trees, though he knew he’d see her again soon.

Despite the fact the sun was about to set and the two godly kings had been bickering all day long, Aphrodite hadn’t lost her patience yet. In fact, she was even reveling in her task at hand.
They moved their business to her abode on Olympus, where her many mirrors were put to good use. Zeus and Poseidon scoured the lands for a suitable judge to measure their sexual prowess, each of them interested in different aspects of what made up a potential lover.
Zeus was pleased with just about any pretty face that breathed, but Poseidon was a bit pickier with appearances. He didn’t want his maidens or young men to be too skinny, and he seemed to have a preference for those with strong legs. Aphrodite could certainly work within those bounds.
At the same time, Poseidon was more open to sharing a lover with some previous sexual experience, thinking it’d make the whole process easier. Zeus wrinkled his nose at the idea and insisted he wanted someone “new”, not wanting to muck about after some vastly lesser mortal man had his way with their chosen judge.
Aphrodite agreed that was a good point, so instead of letting the two kings squabble, she put her talents as a matchmaker to good use. After a brief consultation, she put together a list of minimum requirements that satisfied both gods.
One, their shared lover had to be attractive, preferably with appealing legs.
Two, they had to be virginal.
Three, they all agreed that the mortal should come from high standards, so some form of royalty. They could be a princess or a prince, or even someone lesser than that, but anyone of a noble bloodline would be preferable to a random maiden. Of course, both kings had their fair share of peasant-girl chasing, but for such an important competition, Aphrodite understood their concerns well.
And lastly, the judge should be someone intelligent. Someone who wouldn’t buckle under the pressure of their assigned task and would be able to use not just their body, but logic to determine the true and indisputable winner.
No doubt each god had their plans to bribe the judge, but who wouldn’t?
If it was Aphrodite competing for the apple, she wouldn’t hesitate to pull out a few tricks of her own. An idiot might be easy to bribe, but that also meant they’d be easy for the competition to bribe as well. To each of the male gods, an intelligent lover would certainly be able to recognize a superior bribe.
“Sadly, your stipulations exclude Helen of Sparta,” Aphrodite said, waving away the image of Helen in her largest mirror, “She’s had children by now, though she’s still quite lovely.”
Poseidon made a noncommittal sound, as if he might reconsider, but Zeus urged Aphrodite to move onto the next candidate with a flick of his wrist. The two of them sat before her best mirror, looking almost comical in her rose-colored, dove-ingrained armchairs.
They went through a few more potential candidates, including Penelope of Sparta and Ctimene of Ithaca. Neither god was very impressed by her choices, but just as Aphrodite was about to move onto the next candidate, Poseidon held out a hand.
“Wait a moment,” he said, his eyes narrowing, “Who is that in the back?”
“Oh?” Aphrodite asked. She returned to the image of Ctimene. She was bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun, her veil fluttering in her wake as her handmaidens walked with her. They seemed to be exiting some great ruin, but on closer inspection, the gods could see men at work. They were building a great palace, it seemed.
Well, great by the standards of mortals.
Behind Ctimene, a bare-chested young man held out a hand and seemed to be directing a group of others. Aphrodite’s mirror rippled and showed them the young man in greater detail, leaving young Ctimene out entirely.
“Oh,” Zeus said.
Aphrodite concealed her eager smile, more thrilled than ever at this sudden twist. She examined the young man’s features, including the sharp angles of his nose, his dense locks of dark brown hair, and his high cheekbones. He bore a striking resemblance to Ctimene. As the goddess of love, there were a few other details Aphrodite could parse out just by looking at him, but she would conceal her thoughts for now.
She said, “Why, that would be none other than King Odysseus of Ithaca!”
Though the young ruler was about the same height as his sister, he was no slight-of-frame weakling. His broad shoulders complimented his strong chest and arms, certainly the build of a warrior. His stomach was a flat plain and below his garments, well muscled thighs teased them almost playfully.
A pale scar ran along the inside of one of his thighs, but it only added to his character. Though Poseidon maintained his interest, Zeus scoffed.
“King, you say?” Zeus nudged his brother, “You know what that means.”
Poseidon was still appraising Odysseus’ thighs, “Plenty of whores in and out of his bed?”
“Actually!” Aphrodite said, clapping her hands, “You’ll be beyond pleased to know that young Odysseus here… is virginal.”
Now that had both gods’ attention. The King of the Gods seemed incredulous.
“How old is he?” Zeus asked.
“Twenty years, my dearest king.”
“And he’s still a virgin?” Poseidon asked, his eyebrows flying up in surprise. “Why? Is he stupid?”
Aphrodite giggled behind her hand, “He’s determined to save himself for marriage, like a maiden! But it can’t be helped. I do believe he’s Athena’s pupil, after all. And I’m sure she holds him to what she perceives as a high standard.”
Aphrodite rolled her eyes, “Whatever the case may be, he’s remained celibate thus far. Perfectly ripe and ready to be plucked, if you would.”
The gods of the sea and sky shared a look.
Zeus said, “Show us more.”
Aphrodite was more than happy to do exactly that. She waved her hand and the stationary image of Odysseus began to move. There was no sound to accompany the vision, but all three of them remained silent as they watched Odysseus work.
He carried multiple rucksacks full of supplies up the spiral staircases of his house while other laborers stopped to eat their dinner. He seemed more than intent to get somewhere, not stopping until he came across a large bedroom with the roof still letting in sunlight in a few patches. Interestingly, while the bed was large and well made, it lacked a mattress or rug thrown over the rungs. Perhaps that would come later.
Odysseus hopped out the window, seemingly ignorant to the fact there was a steep drop right below him, as he grabbed hold of a tree bough and climbed into the roof. It looked like he was intent on using every last bit of sunlight to his advantage as he finished laying out the clay shingles.
The sweat across his body glistened like stardust as the sky above him glowed with the most beautiful shades of red and gold. He put his strong body to use by covering the few bare patches of his rooftop, stopping only to retrieve a shallow clay bowl from his pack, filling it with oil and floating a wick on top before igniting his lamp to give him a bit more light.
Zeus snapped his fingers. In an instant, Hermes was fluttering at his side.
“Yes, Father?”
Without taking his eyes off of Odysseus, Zeus said, “Contact Helios. Tell him to wait a while longer before dusk arrives.”
Hermes spared Odysseus a brief glance before nodding and flying off. Though the mortal didn’t seem to notice, the sun did indeed stop setting.
Odysseus set down his hammer to dab his sweat-soaked face with a rag. He was tiring now, but intent on finishing his job if the determined look in his eyes was any indication.
Poseidon held up one hand and curled a finger toward himself.
The hammer that Odysseus just set down began sliding toward the edge of the roof.
“Brother…” Zeus warned.
Poseidon said, “Trust me.”
Odysseus snatched the hammer before it could fall, but found himself quite close to the edge now.
Poseidon cupped his hands around his mouth and blew softly. A wind coming off Ithaca’s coast kicked up, carrying the salty scent of the ocean with it. As Odysseus stood with his hammer, he raised his other hand to shield his eyes from the sudden gust of wind that ruffled his hair and clothing.
Aphrodite’s eyes widened, instantly recognizing the game Poseidon was playing. She added her own flare as well, using just the slightest twirl of her finger to undo the belt holding young Odysseus’ garments in place.
The poor young king seemed baffled by his sudden misfortune, moving swiftly to capture his garment before the wind could steal it away. Aphrodite froze the image without being told to do so, but she was quite proud of her timing.
Odysseus stood in all his mortal splendor, revealing his tan skin scarred by past adventures. He was healthy, with the body of an athlete and his arm outstretched to better display the toned muscles under his skin.
“What a surprise!” Aphrodite said with mirth, tracing her finger along the surface of the mirror, “Look at his little dimples!”
Indeed, a twin set of dimples rested over his lower back, no longer concealed by his clothing. But that was not all. Some men were cursed to be rather flat in their rear, leaving them looking awkward or incomplete at times, but Aphrodite was equally pleased that Odysseus had something worth looking at below his dimples. In addition to the well-defined muscles in his shoulders and back, he sported the most grabbable bottom.
If Odysseus was not doomed to be the plaything between kings, Aphrodite might have been tempted to take him for herself.
She held out her hands as if Odysseus was nothing more than an exotic animal on display. Poseidon was leaning forward in his chair, his head tilted with interest. Zeus, too, seemed sold at last. His golden eyes sparkled more brightly than usual as he traced over the little king’s backside. He ran his tongue over his teeth.
Aphrodite smiled, “So, my dears… what do you say? Is Odysseus of Ithaca to be your judge?”

CHAPTER 1: mr. panties stealer - enhypen! heesung
PAIRING: broke! rookie panty stealer! heesung x reader, senior panty stealer! jake x reader
SYNOPSIS: When Heesung discovers his roommate Beomgyu's bizarre side hustle-stealing panties for cash in a campus-wide competition-he's appalled. But after hearing about the insane prize money, his moral compass wavers.
Overwhelmed by deadlines and broke from juggling classes and a café job, Heesung finally snaps. Armed with Beomgyu's tips and a growing desperation, Heesung sets out to grab the bag-and maybe a shred of dignity along the way.
warning on this chapter: profanities, explicit content (smut), unprotected sex
chapter two
The soft humming of Beomgyu pulled Heesung's focus from his laptop screen. His fingers paused mid-typing, and his brow furrowed as he glanced toward his roommate.
Beomgyu stood at the tiny dorm kitchenette, flipping something on the pan with way too much hip movement for someone cooking.
Heesung's eyes narrowed. Was that... a designer hoodie he was wearing?
He yanked out his AirPods and leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, silently observing. Beomgyu was smiling—smiling—like he'd just won the lottery.
Heesung's suspicions deepened when Beomgyu strolled over and dramatically placed a perfectly grilled steak in front of him, complete with garnish. A garnish!
"Eat up, bro! How's your business plan going?" Beomgyu asked as he dropped into the chair across from Heesung. He even wiggled his eyebrows, looking far too pleased with himself.
Heesung stared at the steak, then back at Beomgyu. "What's this? Poison? Did you get a sugar daddy or something?"
Beomgyu snorted. "Relax. Just eat. You need the protein. You're looking kinda scrawny lately."
"Excuse me, I'm the one carrying this dorm on my back while you're out here buying steaks and flexing designer hoodies," Heesung shot back, shoving the plate away.
"Where is this money coming from? Did you get a promotion?" He asked.
Beomgyu hesitated, scratching the back of his neck. "Not exactly..."
Heesung's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean 'not exactly'? Are you doing something illegal? Selling stolen phones? Counterfeiting IDs?"
Beomgyu let out a nervous laugh, his hand twitching toward the steak knife. "Dude, no! Calm down."
Heesung wasn't buying it. He leaned closer, voice lowering. "Are you... selling drugs?"
"What? No!" Beomgyu hissed, slapping Heesung's hand away. "Why does your brain always go straight to crime? Do you think of me in that way?!"
"Because we've been broke for months and suddenly you're over there playing MasterChef with premium cuts of meat!" Heesung jabbed a finger at the steak. "My diet's been so good, I've gained four kilograms, Beomgyu. Four kilograms! Something's fishy."
Beomgyu groaned, dropping his head onto the table. "I swear, it's nothing bad."
"Then just tell me!" Heesung demanded. "Are you a cam boy? You've been extra cheerful. Did you get a bunch of rich ladies paying for shirtless livestreams?"
Beomgyu sat up, face red. "Hell no! Shut up, dumbass!" He flipped Heesung off before muttering, "But... fine. I'll tell you."
"Well?"
Beomgyu sighed deeply, like he was about to confess to a murder. "I've been making money... by stealing panties."
The room went dead silent.
"...Panties?" Heesung repeated, blinking in disbelief.
"Yes, panties. Underwear. Lingerie. Whatever you want to call it." Beomgyu leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling like a man questioning his life choices.
"There's this monthly competition. The 00 Sigma Liners run it. Whoever steals the most panties wins a huge cash prize."
Heesung's jaw dropped. "There's a competition for that?!"
Beomgyu shrugged. "And it pays well."
"Bro, you're committing theft! And for panties! What if you get caught? What if someone recognizes you?"
Beomgyu waved him off. "It's not a big deal. I'm fast, and no one ever suspects me. Plus, I've got a system."
Heesung stared, completely dumbfounded. "...A system?"
"Yeah." Beomgyu grinned smugly. "Turns out, laundry rooms on campus are prime territory. Easy access, no security cameras, and people forget about their stuff all the time."
"Used panties?" Heesung repeated, his voice laced with disbelief.
He grimaced, an image of Beomgyu stuffing a bunch of underwear into a duffel bag popping into his head. He physically shuddered. "That's... so gross, dude."
Beomgyu just shrugged, completely unbothered. "Money doesn't smell, bro."
Heesung gagged a little. "It probably does in this case." He squinted at his roommate. "Okay, fine. How much do you even make doing this... career path?"
Beomgyu smirked, leaning back in his chair like he was about to deliver the punchline to a joke. "Why? Thinking about joining the club?"
Heesung stiffened, turning back to his laptop in mock indignation. "Pfft, no. I'm just curious. Totally normal curiosity."
"Uh-huh," Beomgyu said, clearly unconvinced but letting it slide. "Anyway, it depends on how many you grab. Last time, I made 600 bucks."
Heesung's head snapped back toward him. "Six hundred dollars?! For panties?"
"Yup. But get this," Beomgyu continued, raising a finger, "Jake—you know Jake? The hot Australian dude?—he snagged 40 panties from the girls' dorm and made four thousand dollars. Four grand. Straight up." He let that sink in.
"And, bro, the competition's sponsored now. The 02 Alpha Liners are putting money behind it."
Heesung's jaw dropped. "Wait. There are sponsors for stealing underwear? What is this, the Panty Olympics?"
"Pretty much," Beomgyu said with a shrug. "But now it's trickier. Most of the girls are onto us, so it's getting harder. Locks on laundry room doors, hidden cameras, fake panties as traps... It's like Mission Impossible, but for underwear."
Heesung stared at his laptop, his business plan completely forgotten. A little voice in the back of his head whispered about all the things he could buy with $600. He pictured himself walking into the campus store and loading up on snacks, new clothes, maybe even upgrading his ancient laptop. Hell, 4,000 dollars? That was tuition and a trip to Jeju Island.
He glanced at Beomgyu, who was casually biting the steak like this whole thing was perfectly normal. "Four thousand, huh..."
Beomgyu smirked. "Told you. Don't knock it till you try it."
Heesung closed his laptop, deep in thought. "What's the... uh, strategy?"
"You are interested!" Beomgyu cackled, slapping the table.
"Fuck you! I want to earn 600 bucks too!" Heesung snapped, glaring. "How dare you keep this from me? If I'd known, I wouldn't have busted my ass at the café for chump change!"
Beomgyu raised his hands defensively. "Okay, okay! My bad! I'm just a rookie, alright? Three months in the game. But I'll teach you, bro. Don't worry."
"Damn right, you will." Heesung popped a piece of steak into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully.
The steak giving him just enough energy to imagine himself prowling the laundry rooms like a panty ninja. He could almost taste the $600 already. Maybe if he bagged 20, he could treat himself to a fancy massage at that spa he always passed by. Hell, if he hit Jake's 40-panty mark, he could upgrade his whole lifestyle.
He is definitely joining and gonna grab that bag.
- - - -
“Damn these fuckers,” you mutter, glaring at your laundry basket. Half your panties are missing—again.
“It’s the fucking competition!” Chaewon screams, slamming her fist onto the counter of the dorm laundry shop. “I thought you said your security was better than this! Do you know how much I spend on panties every month?”
The shop owner sighs, clearly tired of this conversation.
“Miss, we’ve done everything we can. The competition is out of our control. The university refuses to get involved, and the police don’t take it seriously. They think it’s just some harmless club activity.”
“Harmless?!” Wonyoung shrieks, waving her empty laundry bag like a flag of war. “How is stealing panties harmless? Get better locks! Or guards! Or something!”
“We tried new locks,” the owner says, rubbing his temples. “The participants broke them. We can’t afford to keep replacing them.”
“Then install CCTVs!” Karina yells, pointing accusingly at the ceiling. “Track those bastards and turn them in! If we can’t report them for theft, go for property damage! Think smarter!”
You smack your palm against your forehead, sighing. Everyone’s yelling, tensions are high, and yet here you are, missing half your underwear. Again.
“The 28th is coming,” Giselle whines, dabbing at her eyes with fake tears. “God knows how many of them will show up this time. My favorite VS lingerie is gone forever! The one my boyfriend loves so much…”
“Here we go,” you mutter, rolling your eyes.
“…and now I can’t even get the hard fucking I deserve when I wear them!” Giselle cries dramatically, slamming her fists on the counter.
“God, TMI!” you snap, covering your ears.
“Hey, it’s not TMI!” Giselle protests. “This is important! I have a life, you know!”
“I just want my panties back,” Wonyoung groans, clutching her bag. “What kind of psycho steals this much underwear?”
The owner sighs louder, rubbing his face. “Miss, it’s a competition. There’s prize money. People will do anything for cash.”
“Prize money?!” Wonyoung shrieks. “You’re telling me some perverts are getting paid to steal my stuff?! Where’s the justice in this world?”
“Forget justice,” Karina mutters, cracking her knuckles. “We need revenge.”
“I thought leaving our laundry in the dorm was safe!” Chaewon shouts, throwing her hands up. “But last time, there were three guys lurking around, probably hoping the laundry room would be empty!”
“Three guys in our dorm?” Wonyoung gasps, biting her nails. “What if they come back? God knows what else they’ll try to do!”
Karina slams her hands on the counter. “That’s it. We need to set a trap.”
Everyone freezes. Then slowly, heads begin to nod in agreement.
“A trap…” Giselle whispers. “To catch the perverts in the act. Expose them to the whole university!”
You stare at them, dumbfounded. “You do realize they’re already getting smarter, right? They know we’re aware of their stupid competition. If they catch even a whiff of a trap, they’ll just get sneakier.”
Karina turns to you, narrowing her eyes. “What’s your point, genius?”
“My point is, you’re dealing with people who’ve probably been planning this for weeks. You think a bunch of laundry-room heists happen without some kind of strategy?”
“They’re stealing panties,” Chaewon says flatly. “I don’t think they’re masterminds.”
“Yeah, but we don’t even know who’s participating,” Wonyoung chimes in, pacing nervously. “It could be anyone. Anyone! How are we supposed to catch them if we don’t know who they are?”
“It’s only boys, though, right?” Giselle asks, crossing her arms. “I heard someone say it’s all guys.”
“That’s the rumor,” Chaewon agrees. “But they’re good at hiding it. No one knows who’s actually in it.”
“So they’re sneaky and shameless,” Karina says with a scowl. “Great. That’s just what we need.”
“And let’s not forget,” Giselle cuts in, her voice dramatic, “the 28th is coming. The stakes are always higher at the end of the month.”
“Why does this sound like some Hunger Games bullshit?” you mutter, massaging your temples.
“Because it is,” Chaewon snaps. “But with underwear. Our underwear! And if we don’t do something, we’ll keep losing our stuff.”
Karina nods decisively. “We’ll need bait. A decoy pair of panties. Something irresistible.”
“Are you kidding me?” you ask, glaring at her.
“What?” she says defensively. “It’s a good plan!”
“It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” you shoot back.
“No, it’s genius,” Giselle says, jumping in. “We lure them in, catch them red-handed, and BAM! Public humiliation!”
“Sure, if we don’t end up looking like idiots first,” you mutter, but no one’s listening anymore.
“Alright,” Karina declares. “Let’s get to work. We’re going to take those bastards down.”
You sigh, staring at the ceiling. This is going to end so badly.
“I’m going to get some fuck. This is stressing me out,” you say, throwing your hands up as you back away. Grabbing your laundry basket, you turn to leave.
Karina scoffs loudly, crossing her arms. “Are you even a girl’s girl? We’re literally planning a strategy to protect our panties, and you’re bailing on us?”
You shrug, pausing just long enough to glance back at her.
“I’m going to fuck and spy. I have a gut feeling about this,” you say, smirking as you turn away.
“You better get that dick and some information, girl!” Giselle shouts, raising her fist in support.
You throw her a mock salute before fully turning on your heel and walking out.
“Fuck, baby, yes!” Jake’s hips stutter, his grip on your hair tightening as you feel the familiar spurt of liquid hit your tongue.
You wipe your mouth with the back of your hand, a sly grin forming as you push him back onto the bed. Sliding onto his lap, you straddle him, feeling his body tense beneath you.
“Jake, miss me?” you whisper, grinding yourself against his oversensitive cock, teasing him further.
“Yes, baby, miss you so much—ohhh, fuck, I’m sensitive!” he whines, his hands gripping your hips hard enough to leave marks.
You chuckle, your lips brushing against the corner of his mouth.
“Did you see my panties? The green ones I wore last time we fucked?” you ask, your voice low and teasing as you slide him inside, a soft moan escaping both of you.
“Hmm, I don’t think so, baby,” he says, gripping your waist tightly as you start moving, slow and deliberate, feeling his breath hitch beneath you.
“What about the pink ones? The lacey pair you said you liked? A bunch of my panties are missing lately.”
His hands tighten on your waist, but his face remains neutral. “Missing? Nah, baby, I don’t know anything about that.”
You lean in, your lips grazing his jawline as you trail soft kisses along his neck. “You sure? You don’t know anything?”
His laughter comes out nervous, almost forced. “Why would I?”
“Are you stealing my panties, baby?” you ask dumbly, your pace quickening as you move on top of him.
“Ah! Fuck, no, baby! Why would I steal your panties?” he groans, gripping your hips as his thrusts meet yours.
“I don’t know,” you murmur, your tone teasing. “Maybe it’s a kink or something.”
He angles his thrusts perfectly, pulling a loud moan from you. “A kink?” he chuckles breathlessly, his hand sliding to your neck. “What do you think I am? A panty thief?”
“Maybe,” you tease, biting your lip as you ride him faster, his hands guiding your hips firmly. “You’ve heard about that dumb competition, haven’t you?”
His movements falter slightly, just enough to catch your attention.
“What competition, baby?” he asks, his voice low as his mouth moves to your chest, sucking and nibbling your nipples making you gasp.
"Hmm," you moaned, threading your fingers through his hair. "You sure you don't know? Some boys' competition... stealing panties for money?"
He groans, his teeth grazing your skin before pulling back. “Why would I need to steal, baby? You’d give me yours if I asked, wouldn’t you?”
“Depends,” you murmur, your hips grinding harder. “What if you were doing it for the prize?”
He laughs shakily, his hands gripping your waist tighter. “Prize, huh? Sounds like something desperate guys would do.”
You catch the flicker of something in his eyes before he kisses you, thrusting harder, scattering your thoughts.
“You’re dodging,” you whisper against his lips, your voice unsteady as he moves with relentless rhythm.
“Not dodging. Just focusing on more important things,” he says, flipping you onto your back, his cock driving into you faster, pulling loud cries from your throat.
Pleasure ripples through you, your body arching beneath him as his hand finds your clit, circling it perfectly. The tension snaps, and you cry out, thighs trembling around him as you lose yourself.
“Fuck, baby, so tight. G-gonna cum!" Jake groans, his pace faltering as he reaches his release, his grip firm as he gasps, spilling inside you.
When the heat subsides, you collapse back against the bed, Jake pulling you close. His lips brush your shoulder as his fingers trace lazy patterns along your side.
“You know,” he murmurs, his tone teasing, “I’ll just buy you new panties if you’re so worked up about the missing ones.”
You freeze for a moment before forcing a lazy laugh. “Missing? I just said they were like misplaced.”
Jake smirks, that maddeningly cocky grin tugging at his lips. “Same difference, right? They’re gone, baby. Doesn’t matter why.”
His hand drifts to your thigh, squeezing lightly. You trace his chest with your fingers, your mind racing.
“Do you know your favorite red ones? They’re gone too,” you say, sighing with feigned frustration as you lean back.
Jake raises an eyebrow. “Why would they do that?”
You let out an exaggerated groan. “I don’t know! Maybe it’s some dumb power move or a competition. Either way, it’s disgusting.”
“My red ones were my favorite. The ones with the bow? Gone,” you add, watching his expression.
Jake chuckles nervously, his fingers twitching slightly on your waist. “Your favorite red ones, huh? That’s... really too bad.”
“Yeah,” you hum. “Apparently, it’s all for some competition. Karina swears it’s a thing. Points, cash, whatever.”
Jake stiffens briefly before forcing a grin. “Competition? That sounds made-up. Who’d waste their time on something like that?”
“That’s what I said,” you murmur, dragging your fingers slowly across his chest.
Jake laughs again, but it’s tight. “People are crazy. What would they even do with them?”
You shrugged, keeping your tone light. "I have no idea. Probably keep them as trophies, or sell them, or..." you paused, pretending to think. "...burn them in some weird ritual."
Jake snorted, shaking his head. "They don't sell them. Burn them? Nah, that'd be stupid."
You stilled, hand pausing on his chest. "Oh? Then what do they do with them?"
Jake blinked, realizing what he'd said, but his grin quickly returned. "I don't know! I'm just saying, if they went through all that trouble, burning them would be a waste, right?"
"Hmm." you hummed thoughtfully, shifting closer. "So you do know something about it?"
Jake's smirk faltered for the briefest second before he let out a laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "No, babe. Come on, I'm just making guesses here. Like I said, people are crazy."
"Right." you rolled onto your back with a sigh, pretending to let it go. "Still, it's creepy. And no one's getting their stuff back. You'd think, if they weren't total cowards, they'd just admit it—or at least return the panties."
Jake chuckled nervously, shifting beside me. "Or, you know... maybe they're waiting for the right time to give them back. Like after the 28th or something."
You froze. Realizing that you never said anything to him about the 28th.
"The 28th?" you repeated slowly, sitting up slightly to look at him.
His eyes widened, but he quickly covered it with a sheepish grin, pulling you back down beside him. "I'm just talking, babe. Forget it. You're thinking way too hard about this."
Your heart raced, suspicious with his statement, though you kept your face neutral, your voice soft. "Oh, I don't know. You sound like you know a lot about it for someone who doesn't care."
Jake kissed you, his lips warm and insistent as his hands roamed over your body, trying to shift the mood. "Babe, I care about one thing right now, and it's you."
His hands slid upward, squeezing your chest as his lips traveled down to your neck.
You got him.

I expanded on this a bit on Twitter but I kinda wanted to talk about it here where people actually read my meta lol
I want to clarify that I think (Arcane) Jayce would eventually rise to the occasion. He always does.
I just think that Jayce has the most uniquely vulnerable situation if he theoretically went to Noxus, even when compared to every single other Arcane character. Yes, I'm including Heimerdinger and Cait. And here's why:
We've already seen Jayce get manipulated by not one but two Noxians, Mel and Ambessa. And Mel was nice about it! Jayce does eventually figure out Mel's manipulation of him but that's only after months of soul searching with literally nothing else to do (and then he APOLOGIZES to her, after eventually realizing too that Mel wasn't entirely to blame, just to be clear, but he ended the relationship over it IMO).
But Jayce is a unique example of the one character we've seen fall for Noxian manipulation more than once, with different Noxians. And, I would argue, there's nothing else in his arc to indicate he's gotten smarter about it, even at the end, other than figuring out Mel and only in relation to Hextech.
I don't think he's necessarily any better armed against Noxian manipulation after his arc, or manipulation in general. Another Noxian using slightly different tactics to get what they want from him would probably still work.
Jayce also has a unique combination of:
1) A relatively privileged background that makes him more trusting of others (unlike the Zaunite characters) and just being a nice guy in general, which lends to this.
2) An amount of self-confidence that he doesn't necessarily see manipulation coming because he generally tends to see himself as the primary mover of events in his own life which makes him a prime target for a master manipulator (like Ambessa when she masterfully pushed him into a sense of helplessness and rage that ended in his raid on the Shimmer factory). Not saying Jayce never feels helpless, he just has a background and personality that tends to see himself as able to regain control if he loses it and to see himself as a primary mover of his own destiny even when he's being puppetted
3) but most important: he has something Noxians would want and have wanted and would continue to want since we saw Swain's raven go for the gem in his hammer: Hextech. If Jayce went to Noxus, he'd be a target of EVERYONE THERE because of Hextech, either for weapons or for Hexgates. Or, if not Hextech, then the mind that created Hextech is still a worthy prize for anyone trying to get ahead there.
And funny enough, I think every other character in Arcane has more defenses than Jayce, even Cait, even Heimerdinger.
Heimerdinger may be naive but he's also 300+ years old and he's been around the block. I think Heimer's first response to being a target of manipulation in Noxus would be to get the fuck out of Noxus, I mean I can't imagine a country less suited to his whole deal, but he'd know to get out of there and he'd know to be on guard.
Cait post-S2 would be well equipped to recognize Ambessa's tactics in others, but even pre-S2, she's a detective used to reading people. Her instincts are stunted by the grief over her mother's death but she's clearly putting together that she can't trust Ambessa from the start. Cait despite also having a privileged upbringing like Jayce from the start has more tools at her disposal when it comes to understanding and analyzing people to have at least some prayer in Noxus, unlike Jayce the Engineer.
Then when you get to literally any Zaunite character, I think you get a healthy dose of suspicion towards outsiders to make them better able to defend themselves against Noxian manipulation or use.
Not saying it still couldn't happen, but a Viktor or a Vi would definitely be skeptical from the outset towards anyone trying flattery on them and would be immediately resistant to anyone using them for weapons or as fighters.
Jinx is too chaotic and slippery to be used, I'd argue, but she also in general just doesn't work well with others outside of long, long term relationships of trust (and even then). Really, anyone on the list of Zaunite character (Silco, Sevika, Ekko, etc.) just has that healthy dose of skepticism that I think at least puts them in a good position to be aware that everyone in Noxus is potentially looking for a way to use them.
But not Jayce. Oh, I don't think he's stupid, I definitely do not think he's stupid. But I think he could fall for, say, a two-man con, good cop/bad cop, once more obvious manipulator and a second person pretending to protect him from that person thus winning his trust, even in S2.
Now, I do want to add that one caveat to this, as I said, I think Jayce would rise to the occasion. He'd eventually figure out that he's being used and if it's for Hextech weapons, or weapons of any kind, he'd probably catch on sooner.
I think Jayce would probably, in an action story, turn around and drop-kick anyone trying to use him by countering them with his own flashy weapons and skills before long (say hello to this neat trebuchet he just built out of garbage and say goodnight, motherfucker).
I also think that his general demeanor would lull a manipulator into a false sense of security, until he boldly outplays them with him classic "Moving in very direct straight lines and fuck anyone who gets in the way" manner of dealing with intractable problems.
I actually think a "Jayce in Noxus" arc would be delicious, since we've already seen him played on his home turf, I'd like to see his incremental progress forward in figuring out how to be a more savvy player in the belly of the beast.
Alas, I can't imagine we'll be seeing him in an actual Noxus show but if you also are dying for "Jayce in Noxus" now, I'd highly recommend the "Break, repair" series by Lapsi, where the second installment involves just that.
My first impression of Noxus in Fortiche's style:
Oh, this country would have eaten Jayce Talis alive, huh?

On Board
Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Reader
Warnings: mostly fluff!!!
This was written on my phone don’t judge me 🤣
Tumblr media
It was a hot summer day in Virginia. The group had decided to scavenge today for supplies for Alexandria. Life was better since you all had made it to Alexandria. There had been some hard times, but you all persevered and made it through.
Rick was now in charge after Deanna got bitten, succumbing to her injuries when the walkers attacked your safe haven. It took awhile to clean up the mess that was made but it was your all’s home. Life was finally feeling a little normal.
Some of your all’s group lived together. Rick, Michonne, Carl, Judith, Daryl, and you. In the other house was Abraham, Rosita, Eugene, Tara, and Sasha. Carol didn’t sleep much these days, her attitude changing from meek and quiet to strong and outspoken. Of course the lovebirds Maggie and Glenn stayed together.
Daryl, Rick, and Abraham were loading a vehicle, getting ready to go on a run. Michonne was joining them. You and Rosita would take turns going. You weren’t weak, but Rick had handed you Judith in the mean time to get your mind off things, trying to bring a little joy to your day.
Judith loved you. You watched her in your free time when there wasn’t scavenging or other work to be done. Rick insisted that you needed to watch her because she was very fond of you. It was a good feeling that your fearless leader trusted you with one of his most prized possessions, one of the people he was closest to.
“Hi Judith.”, you baby talked her, causing her to smile. “Whatcha doin’ sweet girl?”
You kissed the top of her head, holding her close. She rested her head on you, pacifier in her mouth. Michonne smiled at the sight, coming up beside you before she brushed her hand through Judith’s soft hair.
“Think you could get used to that?”
“This?”
Michonne nodded.
“Maybe.”
Daryl eyed you as he was loading up a vehicle. Truth be told, watching you with Judith was one of his many weaknesses. Hardly anything got to Daryl Dixon but this was one of those things. It almost made him want to have a child of his own with you. But he worried he wouldn’t be a good dad. His dad was shitty growing up. And his mom wasn’t much better. Merle and Daryl had a very hard upbringing.
“We just need to convince Daryl to get on board.”, Michonne smiled at Judith as you continued to hold her, shielding her from the sun.
“I don’t even know if I’m on board.”, you joked. “Even though Judith here does make it pretty convincing.”
Judith giggled lightly as you tickled her. It was beautiful to have a child around. She brought light back into your all’s lives. Even on the darkest days.
“Look Judith, it’s Uncle Daryl.”, you smirked at him as he came over to the both of you.
“Aw, what’s my pretty girl up t’?”, Daryl eyed her. “Want Uncle Daryl to hold ya?”
Judith reached out her small arms causing you to scoff playfully. “Really Daryl?”
“Sorry sweetheart. She’s made her choice.”
Daryl smirked. You rolled your eyes as Daryl took her out of your arms. Michonne watched for your reaction as Daryl interacted with Judith, causing her to smile and laugh. You couldn’t help but do the same, watching the man you love.
Daryl was hard and cold at first, but as you got to know him, that changed. He opened up to you and showed you the soft side of him you never knew was there under his hard exterior. Things changed, you lost people, and you all became closer.
So close that you all had began a relationship. This world was cold but he made it better. He was the first thing you woke up to and the last thing you kissed goodnight. As long as he was with you, the world would be tolerable. Things would be okay.
Michonne and Rick had began a romantic relationship, much to everyone’s surprise. Almost as surprising as when the group found out about you and Daryl. You watched Daryl bounce Judith, he was practically a natural. Rick and Michonne kissed, signaling their departure was near.
“Ready Daryl?”, Rick asked as Michonne climbed into the vehicle.
Daryl looked at Rick, this question bringing him out of his daze. “Yeah.”
Daryl came over to you, leaning over to kiss you with Judith still in his arms. The kiss was slow. You knew why Daryl did this but you didn’t want to admit it to yourself. He was afraid he wouldn’t come home. This could very well be your last kiss.
“I love ya, Y/N.”
“I love you, Daryl. Be safe, please.”
Daryl nodded. “D’ my best sweetheart.”
“Wrap it up Romeo.”, Abraham joked, laughing as Daryl glared back at him.
Daryl flipped him off, causing him to laugh even louder.
“Daryl,”, you scolded him softly. “Not in front of Judith.”
Daryl sighed, apologizing to Judith before kissing her on the head. She just smiled up at him.
“Alright pretty girl, time t’ go back to Aunt Y/N.”, Daryl moved closer, handing her off to you.
You all shared one more kiss and he told you he’d be home soon. Rick came over and kissed Judith goodbye, telling her the same thing. You helped her wave goodbye to her daddy and the rest of the group as Daryl took one last look at you before getting in the car. You watched the car pull out, stopping at the gates before someone unlocked it, a trail of dust following them.
Looking at Judith, you shifted your focus to her. “Just me and you Judith. Let’s go inside and take a nap.”
Carl stayed back to help keep Alexandria safe. He was in the house, grabbing some water. He greeted you with a hug and you told him you were going to try and put Judith down for a nap. You told him you’d make dinner in a few hours.
Being a typical teenage boy, he acknowledged you silently and left the house with his gun.
Hours passed and dusk began to set in as you tried to focus on anything other than Daryl and the group. A knock came to the door, throwing you off. Judith was playing in the floor with her toys. You quickly ran to open the door, finding Carol.
“Need some help with dinner?”
“That’d actually be great.”
Carol came in and began helping you make a casserole. She had became quite the cook since being at Alexandria. Once it was finished, you placed Judith in her high chair and called Carl to come eat. He had taken a huge interest in Enid, a teenage girl at Alexandria. Maybe love was in the air.
Once dinner was over, Carol helped you clean up. It was easy to get Judith to sleep after her bottle. She was out like a light.
“Well, I guess I’m going to be on my way. Need anything else Y/N?”
“I’m good Carol. Thank you.”
She waved it off, saying it was no problem. You sat in peaceful silence, feeling even better now that Carl was home. This was in stark contrast to being out on the road for so long. Tiredness was sitting in and before you had known it, you were fast asleep with Judith in your arms on the couch.
How many hours had passed? You weren’t sure.
“Sweetheart.”
You jumped easily, startling yourself out of your sleep and quickly opening your eyes to see Daryl standing above you.
“S’ alright, sweetheart. Just me.”
Judith barely stirred as you immediately relaxed your muscles.
“You scared me.”
“I know. ‘M sorry sweetheart.”
Daryl took in the sight of you sleepy and holding a sleeping Judith before he sat down beside you.
“Is everyone okay?”, you asked softly.
Daryl nodded. “All safe’n sound.”
“Thank God.”
“Want me to take Judith and put her to bed so we can lay down?”
“If you have to.”
Daryl chuckled softly. “You’re exhausted. What’d y’all do today?”
Gently, you let Daryl take Judith out of your arms. She barely moved, snuggling into Daryl’s chest.
“Napped, played, and made dinner.”
“Busy day.”
“What about you?”
“Killed some walkers, found lots of supplies. Just another day in paradise.” Daryl smirked, joking.
You nodded before he leaned in, kissing you.
“Can I ask ya somethin’?”
Your heart dropped into your stomach.
“Sure, what’s up?”
You were awake now, sitting up.
Daryl sighed, trying to muster up the courage to ask you. He was afraid of the answer but he needed to know. His perspective on life had changed lately. Maybe he could have a good life after all.
“I was wonderin’ “, he began, looking down at Judith before looking back up at you.
Your look begged him to continue.
“Would you ever want one of these?”, he motioned to Judith.
“A….baby?”, you question and he felt like he had fucked up.
“It’s silly, ain’t it? Nevermind.”, Daryl sighed, looking away.
You grabbed his chin softly, bringing his face to look up at you. “That’s not silly, Daryl.”
Daryl’s face relaxed. You ran your thumb over his stubble.
“Yes.”
“Yes?”, Daryl repeated, making sure he had heard you correctly.
“Yes.”, you confirmed.
“Sure, y’wanna a little Dixon runnin’ around?”
“I’d love nothing more.”, you whispered lightly before you and Daryl shared a kiss before Rick and Michonne walked in.
“Are we interrupting something?”, Rick laughed.
“Maybe we’re both on board.”
You knew Rick wouldn’t have any idea of what that meant but all Michonne could do was smile.

Killer Queen | Part Two
Killer Queen masterlist
Simon "Ghost" Riley x 141!reader Word Count: 2.0k Chapter warnings: 18+, Minors DNI, 141, retired (not for long) soldier reader, reader's callsign is Tiger, enemies to lovers (but currently just enemies), split POV in this one, referenced past trauma, graphic injury detail/description, mentions of gore, death, capture, and torture, swearing, this series will be significantly darker than my other works
Tumblr media
In the immediate aftermath of the meeting, the base was a frenzy. An entire wing of the barracks was sectioned off within the space of an hour - designated solely to the newly reformed Taskforce 141.
You'd stormed off as soon as you were dismissed, retreating to the private sanctuary that was your car. You'd all received the same parting orders; all been told to go home, pack up what you needed, and return to base.
It didn't take long for you to get your affairs in order. Half an hour to sort out the meagre belongings in your rental unit, boxing up what you wanted to take with you, and setting the others aside to drop at a charity shop on the way. Not that you had much to begin with; your lifestyle was nomadic - had been since you retired. Before that, even.
You dropped your keys off with your landlord on the way back to the car, notifying them of your immediate departure. The old lady was understanding - kind, even - having already gathered the vague sense that you were military and just passing through.
Driving back through the English countryside, you kept your prized possession in the cup holder in the centre console. It was only little; a small, gold St Christopher pendant about the size of a penny on a long, thin chain. Back in simpler times, you used to wear it, the engraved disc laying over your heart. Back when you could bear the feeling of a chain around your neck. Back in the days before "Tiger" was your sole name.
God, you hated that name, though it was preferable.
It had been years since someone called you by your actual, birth name. Letting someone know that meant letting them in, and that was something that you refused to do.
Never again.
Tumblr media
Soap and Gaz were the first two to make it back to the base. Together, they claimed the battered old leather sectional in the rec room attached to their barracks, drinking cups of tea and nattering like two old ladies in a retirement home.
"So, what do you think the odds are that she's 'the Tiger', as you put it," Gaz asks, leaning back. Despite the roguish smile on his face, the rigid set of his jaw gives away his concern.
Like Soap - hell, like most British soldiers - he's heard the stories.
Stories about men being killed in their beds in the dead of night, militias toppled within a matter of days, and enemy soldiers going missing from their posts only to be found days later in the middle of nowhere. And that's just the light-hearted stuff. That woman's ledger is soaked in red - probably rivalled only by Ghost, which is a troubling thought to say the least.
The worst story Gaz could recall was one he'd been told years ago, back when he'd enlisted. Allegedly, it detailed the incident in which Tiger had earned her nickname. It was probably an exaggeration in parts - he kept telling himself as much, trying to settle his unease at the idea of being stuck in a confined space with her for the foreseeable future.
As legend goes, her and her team were sent out on an infiltration mission, and she returned a month later as the sole survivor. For three weeks after their capture, her teammates were tortured, beaten, starved - herself included - until, one by one, they were executed. But, before they could get to her, she slipped free from her restraints and disappeared into the enemy base. For days, the militia searched for her as she bided her time, stealing food and weapons as she essentially lived within their walls. And then, when she was finally ready, she unleashed herself upon them.
Forty-three men and women died that day.
Some - the ones to whom she'd bestowed some degree of mercy - had had their throats slit; their heads caved in; their necks broken. But the others...
A small minority had done something to incur her wrath. Instead of blades, she'd taken to them with her own sharpened nails. In some instances, her teeth.
She'd butchered them like a wild animal.
Gaz had taken some time to read the report after he'd been promoted to sergeant, although most of it was redacted and required a much higher level of clearance than his own to access. The basics he'd gleaned along with a handful of photos from the militia base had told him enough: the stories were true, and Tiger was someone to be feared to the highest degree.
And - somehow - she and Ghost seemed to know one another. Well enough to have an opinion, at that.
Soap makes a noise, something between a wince and a huff, pulling him back to the rec room. Back to beige, plasterboard untouched by blood and gore. "'ah don't know, Gaz. But, based on form, ah'd say yes."
Gaz grimaces.
"An' if they've had to call her 'ere, ah'd say we're all fucked."
Ain't that the truth.
"Think she's as bad as they say?" he asks, voice giving an involuntary shudder that he hopes Soap won't catch. Last thing he wants is to look scared, especially with her lurking the halls.
Instead of answering the question, Soap shrugs and offers, "Perhaps we should ask Lt? He seems to know 'er."
Gaz nods non-committally. That'll be a fun conversation.
And then a familiar gravel-laden voice rings out across the room, sudden and harsh like a crack of thunder. "Ask me what?"
Both men twist around so fast that Gaz is surprised they don't end up with whiplash. Ghost is standing in the doorway, balaclava and hard-shell mask on, dressed in all black with a duffel slung over one shoulder. Even after years of working together, he's still a spooky bastard - creeping around soundlessly despite his sheer size.
"Tiger," Soap says in that fearless way of his, blue eyes unhindered by any trace of doubt. It's something that Gaz has always admired and been amazed by; the bold, unabashed bravery with which the Scotsman handles their Lt, refusing to coddle or humour him like other soldiers do.
The light in Ghost's already-dim eyes gutters. "What about her?"
His growl sets Gaz on edge. Makes him wonder if it's not too late to back-track on their line of questioning. If it might be safer to wait for the morning and ask Price or Kate instead.
Regardless, Soap ploughs on. "How d'ya know 'er? Seemed like a pretty explosive reunion back there."
Ghost takes a few more steps into the room, slinging the bulky duffel onto a vacant armchair. He folds his brawny arms across his broad chest, puffing it up. "There's nothing to know. I knew her once and now I don't. That's all there is to it."
Soap guffaws, folding his own arms with a grin. "'ah, come on, Lt. Tha's just begging for questions to be asked."
"All I'm going to say is that you need to watch her. I don't trust her; don't let your guard drop around her; don't ever make the mistake of thinking that you know her. Treat her like you would a hostile. That way, we might just all come out of this on the other side."
And - with that - Ghost stalks back to the doorway, grabbing his duffel on the way. His stark warning hangs in the air long after he's gone.
Both of the men listen to the sound of his retreating footsteps as he pads down the linoleum-tiled hallway, no doubt claiming a room as his own to brood in until Price arrives.
"Note to self," Gaz says aloud after a few minutes of silence have dragged by, "never bring up Tiger around the Lt."
Tumblr media
You sit at your desk, listening to the sounds of the taskforce's laughter just doors away. They'd ordered pizza to the barracks tonight, and you'd stayed in your room to prove a point - away from Ghost's hollow, accusing eyes.
It's been a week since you relocated, and Kate has yet to provide any actionable information on Makarov and the plot to stop him. Meaning it's been a week of isolation, eating and training in solitude, avoiding the men at all costs. You'd caught the whispered conversations and furtive glances when they thought you weren't looking - exactly the sort of thing you'd hoped to avoid - and it made you hate Ghost all the more.
From day one, he'd done nothing but poison them against you.
Your eyes slip to the black plush box at the side of your laptop; the St Christopher pendant nestled within its protective lining.
More than anything, you wish you could travel back in time to last week and not pick up Kate's call. That way, you'd still be in your rental unit, curled up in front of the TV or jogging around the neighbourhood. You'd still be alone, but at least you wouldn't be judged like this.
It was a little known fact that your reputation was what had pushed you to retire.
Surprising, you knew, but that's just how it was at the time. It wasn't the trauma of the 'incident' but the aftermath of your return that made you consider an exit from the army. How people who had once considered you a friend looked at you with nothing but fear and disgust in their eyes, like they could still see the blood staining your fingertips and dripping from your maw. Like you were a rabid dog in need of putting down.
You'd still stayed for a couple of years before you put in your papers, aided by Laswell, who advocated from an early retirement instead of a discharge. By then, you were sick of being shunted from base to base, pushed between assignments as an increasingly shrinking number of captains agreed to work with you.
To some, you were an asset; to others, a liability; to most, an unknown.
But, it was towards the start of it that you met Ghost. In fact, it was only something like three months after the incident, fresh from therapy and evals that you first crossed paths.
You exhale a long, shaky breath, freeing yourself from the tangled web that those memories weave within your mind. It's always risky to look back on that time - too clouded with emotion and fear for you to view objectively. It's safer to ignore it.
You lose track of how much time passes before there's a knock at the door of your suite, faint and hesitant.
It's purposeful, the exaggerated amount of time you take to open it. Giving whoever was sent to poke the beast ample time to escape before the door opens.
To your surprise, it's MacTavish - the cheerful, blue-eyed Scotsman from the meeting - standing in the hallway with a wide, encouraging grin. Wasting no time, he dives straight in with, "Coming out any time soon, lassie? We were starting to think ye'd starved to death in there." He nods to the room behind you, the only sources of light being the hallway and the small lamp on your otherwise barren nightstand. "Want to join us for a bit?"
The invitation lingers in the air between you. It takes another moment for it to register in your brain as a genuine offer. One of kindness, not malice.
It puzzles you.
"Why?" The simple question leaves your lips as a snarl; half-feral and significantly more impolite than initially intended. "Why do you want me there?"
Something glimmers in MacTavish's eyes. For a second, you think it might be pity, and it heats a fire in the pit of your stomach. "Because 'ah know the Lt does'nae seem to like ye, and I think ye could use some friends around 'ere."
There's a beat of silence. Then another. By the third, MacTavish is shifting his weight between his feet, that handsome grin faltering just slightly.
"Listen," you say primly, taking a step out into the hall. He retreats the same distance, eyes focused on your face as you smile coldly. "I want to be on my own. I like it that way. Beats people gossiping about me; telling all sorts of stories about my past. About how I earned my callsign." The colour drains from his face. "So, no - I don't want friends. Not here; not anywhere. I do, however, want to be left alone. I want my wishes to be respected; my personal space too. Got it?"
Balking, MacTavish nods.
You ease back into your room as he starts to walk away, heading back up the hallway towards the rec room, where the laughter seems to have dissipated. But, just before he slips back inside through the ajar door, he twists back to face you, offering a kind, "We'll be in here until late if ye change yer mind."
Instead of dignifying him with a response, you retreat back into your suite, closing the door with a firm shove. You lean against the thick wooden slab, exhaling a trapped breath from your tight chest.
Back sliding down until you meet the floor, you can't help but regret agreeing to come here. It's all starting to feel like such a huge, massive mistake.

Sephiroth loses memory and it's up to his friends to re-introduce him to his reality
"And this is where you keep your annoyingly organized collection of space-themed postcards," Genesis drawled, opening the desk to demonstrate. "You tend to reserve those for special occasions. The big golden one is for when that old fuck Hojo finally drops off." The silver-haired warrior loomed curiously over Genesis' shoulder, eyes wide, head slightly cocked in puzzled assessment. "And...and this is my office?" "It's where you work when you're not on missions," Angeal affirmed, still slightly awkward as he squirmed in place. "Outside of the battlefield, I mean." "Battlefield?" Sephiroth's quavering voice sounded distant, slightly higher than its usual stoic baritone. He looked between the two men, lost and confused, playing with his hands. "You...you mean there's a war, right? And I'm involved?" "Involved is a bit of an understatement," Genesis sighed. "You're their secret weapon. Their biggest hero. The Wutai War would have fallen to shit without you, much as I hate to admit it. That's what you're best at, fighting. The ads are rather distasteful, though. I don't think you'd get much out of them." "Ads?" Angeal tugged at his collar, swallowing harshly. "Ah...propaganda, really." "You're Shinra's favorite posterboy. It's been that way since 'Geal and I were kids." "They're still all over the place. Those ads, I mean. It's why we get so many incoming recruits every year. All of Midgar's walls are lined with them. Your face is pretty much around every corner." Sephiroth's expression was hard to read, staring down at the floor, his brow knit in tight concentration. He seemed to be thinking, chewing analytically on the tip of his thumb, catlike pupils rippling. He glanced up at the men again, a childish pout ever so slightly creasing against his face, snorting indignantly as he nodded. "Do I receive compensation for this breach in privacy?" "We literally just told you that you're the figurehead in a major ongoing war and THAT'S what you're concerned about?" Sephiroth only huffed, still scowling. "If I am going to be molded into a prized product for public consumption, I would appreciate a fair cut. Does SOLDIER even offer benefits? What about stock options?" Genesis groaned, rubbing between his eyes. "You must have hit your head harder than I thought."

All Seeing, All Knowing, All Loving Part 7
Rating: Overdrinking and drunk emotions
Warnings: Ghost is in his feelings
Summary: You get rejected by a mysterious stranger and then Ghost turns up at your house drunk!
Notes: extra long because the last one was so short (also mc is not alcoholic she’s just British)
Word Count: 2,435
ao3 link
Considering that you’d sworn off alcohol after your New Year’s hangover, it hadn’t taken you and the girls long to get back into the clubs.
Granted, you were only having one drink tonight, and it was a nice cocktail rather than a shot, more of a sophisticated sex and the city girls' night out rather than a full booze-up.
In keeping with this theme, you were checking out the local talent in the bar. Helen had already disappeared from your little group to chat up a beautiful dark-haired woman at the bar, which left you, Katie, and Marge sat, trying to play the game of ‘queer woman or overly friendly straight’. So far, you and Katie were leaning towards a straight woman who was blissfully unaware of Helen trying to hit on her, whereas Marge still held hope.
“See, she’s leaning in! She’s so gay.”
“That was a laugh lean in; that doesn’t count.”
“She’s looking at her lips!”
“Because she’s listening to her talking!”
“Homophobe you are!”
You snorted at the pair of them bickering, sipping your cocktail as you watched the two women at the bar. You would have liked to have believed that Helen would pull, but inexplicably, she had a habit of only ever managing to find the straightest women out there.
Marge gave up trying to convince Katie and turned to you instead: “So, are we gonna talk about the guy that’s been staring at you since he came in?”
“What? Who’s staring at us?”
“Don’t look now, you div! Tall, blond, beefier than a prize-winning bull.”
“Is he fit?”
“Well, he’s about twenty-odd years too young for me, but I think you’d like him.”
“You sure he’s staring at me and not Katie?”
“I’m not senile yet! I can tell who he’s looking at!”
Marge was sat across the table from you, so whomever she was looking at was annoyingly out of your range of sight.
“Katie, have a look, what’s he like?”
Katie looked over very unsubtly, leaning back so she could get a better angle,
“Oh, he’s gorgeous. Bet he could bench press you, no problem. Tall, too. Surrounded by lads though.”
“Like, lads lads?”
“Oh aye. Tattooed and the like, jägerbombs and all. Willing to bet you’d be choked by Lynx the second you get near them.”
“Ew. Is he a lad, d’you reckon?”
Katie hummed, frowning.
“Yeah, probably. He is gorgeous, though.”
“Does he have a jägers?”
“Uhhh,” she squinted, “Could be a whiskey or summat?”
“Okay, okay, stop- stop looking, Kate, Jesus Christ. Subtle as an elephant, you are.”
“Aha! See? That woman’s sliding their number over to Helen! Told youse she was gay.”
You looked back to the bar, seeing Helen looking pleased as punch, though you still weren’t convinced that the other woman wasn’t just being friendly.
“Alright, Marge, I’ll buy you a drink then.”
“Weren’t we supposed to be doing just the one drink tonight?”
“It’s not like we’re gonna get proper hammered or anything. Just another drink.”
You should have known, really. If you stayed with the one drink, you might have been fine, but the moment you moved on to that second drink, it was all over. Two drinks turned into three, four, and then shots until you were almost as rowdy as the bunch of lads across the bar.
“I just think you should talk to him!”
Katie was insistent, with Marge in support.
“I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?”
“Really? You’re gonna ask us like I can’t give you hundreds of worst-case scenarios?”
“But like, realistically?”
“He could laugh at me, he could reject me, he could pour a drink on my head.”
“Oh, come off it.”
Katie pushed her empty glass over to you,
“It’s your turn to go get the drinks, anyways.”
“He’s at the bar, isn’t he?”
“Oh, would you look at that? Coincidence. Get a move on.”
Helen tapped her fingers on the table, having returned newly emboldened from the bar, “I will buy all your drinks for the rest of the night if you at least say hello to him.”
“All my drinks for the next month.”
“All your drinks for the next month!”
You really didn’t want to, but you could spend your money on so much more pointless shit if you didn’t have to spend it on drinks. After all, you had seen a fancy litter tray for Soap, something you wouldn’t splurge on normally, but if you didn’t have to buy drinks for a month?
“Fine.”
You were regretting making your deal the second you’d gotten up. What the hell were you going to say? You weren’t dressed for the occasion; you’d planned on a chill night out with the girls, so you hadn’t worn anything too alluring; the dress was shoulderless, sure, but it was also made of a nice thick knit to keep you warm, and it reached just below your mid-thigh. Your shoes weren’t all that exciting either, a pair of dark leather boots so you wouldn’t slip over on the icy pavements. You looked nice, but you didn’t feel sexy. Not ideal to try and go on the pull.
When you finally turned around to go to the bar, you could see him. As described, he was, in fact, tall and built like a brick shithouse, though you’d describe him as more a dirty blond. Above all else, though, he was gorgeous. Strong jawline, pale green eyes, and a large nose with a slight bump in it. He was wearing relaxed blue jeans, and a thick black jumper, with a basic pair of trainers. He turned over to look at you, and he watched you for a moment, his expression subtle but curious.
You were the one to break the eye contact, looking away so you could pick your way through the crowd to the bar, steadily making your way toward him, trying not to drop the glasses and make a tit of yourself before you’d so much as opened your mouth.
Once you’d reached the bar, standing beside him as you placed the empty glasses down, your mind seemed to have completely gone blank. What were you going to say? ‘Hello’ didn’t seem cool, ‘hi’ seemed too awkward, and ‘hey’ made you feel like you were trying too hard. You turned to look at him, hoping that you could think of something to say in the spur of the moment. He’d turned to look down at you, his head slightly tilted to the side, the corner of his lips picked up in a slight smile.
“Hi.”
Fuck.
“Can I help you?”
Even his voice was attractive, smooth and self-assured, with a certain level of warmth. Damn alcohol had made your brain all fuzzy.
“Hi. No. I mean, yes.” You pressed your fingers to your temple. How could you have fucked up so quickly?
“Take your time, love.”
In for a penny, in for a pound.
“Can I have your number?”
He actually looked surprised. Of course he did. You were acting like an absolute fool.
“Really?”
“Uh, yup.”
“I, uh, I don’t think-“
Oh God. Oh fucking Christ, he was turning you down. You could feel the embarrassment eating away at you like a virus in your gut.
“Never mind!”
You abandoned the drinks, fleeing back to your table of girls, knowing that your cheeks were flaming red. Fucking Katie.
Expectedly, you’d called it an early night after that.
It didn’t matter how much your girls told you that you were sexy and beautiful and that the man at the bar was an idiot; all you could feel was the sting of rejection, which the alcohol did little to dampen. They’d tried to convince you to stay, to ignore that group of pricks, but all you wanted was to go back to bed and curl up under the cover with Soap. At least that man would never let you down. He quite literally didn’t have the balls to.
You hadn’t expected to be disturbed after that; the girly group chat had been pinging with their remarks, mostly about the guy at the bar getting embarrassingly drunk and having to be carried out, clearly to do with the shame of missing out on a woman like you. You weren’t convinced. You’d just ignored your phone after that, knowing that the pings were lovey-dovey mush in the group chat, as per usual after a night out, and settled in for a quiet night with Soap, who’d taken his position of privilege, lying across your chest as you watched tv on your laptop.
Would it have been rude to mute the girly chat? It was still going off, not the usual rapid-fire messages, but slower, enough that it would catch your attention every time it lit up. Reluctantly, you tapped the space bar to pause your documentary, gently holding Soap as you leant across to grab your phone where it had been sat on charge.
It wasn’t the group chat.
It was Ghost.
‘Where are you?’
‘Tell me where you are.’
‘Talk to me.’
‘Talk to me or I’m breaking in again.’
‘Please.’
What the fuck.
He’d never text you like this before. He’d never really text. Shit, you better text him back, he actually might break in if you didn’t.
‘??? I’m literally at home chill out’
God, you were nervous now.
‘Simon don’t actually break in? Okay??’
Ah, there it was. The knock at the door. Well, it was less of a knock and more of a thump, one and then another, as though he’d leant his entire body weight against the door and used his head to knock. You would have liked to have used your camera to see what it was, but you hadn’t bothered replacing it since he’d ripped it off. Like there was a chance it could be anyone else banging on your door this late. You sighed, and picked up Soap, hugging him to your chest as you got out of bed and walked to the door,
“Time to see your father.”
You didn’t bother with the chain on the door, deciding you had little to fear from Ghost.
Without the chain holding the door back as you opened it, Ghost practically fell in through the doorframe, catching himself at the last second. He stood unsteadily, swaying, his hand firmly gripping the doorframe like it was the only thing keeping him upright. You blinked at him, taking a step back,
“Jesus, you been drinking?”
“‘M sorry love.”
You could practically smell the alcohol on his breath, it was that strong, and you wrinkled your nose,
“Fucking hell, how much did you drink?”
He reached out for you, his hand grabbing onto your arm like a vice, pulling you close to him, giving you little chance to freak out about the complete personality shift that seemed to be going through him right now. Both you and Soap were crushed against his chest, your face smothered in the black fabric of his jumper, able to smell his cologne and the unmistakable scent of cigarettes, the common shame of a drunkard. Soap squirmed uncomfortably, and you gently pushed away from Ghost,
“Simon, Simon, there’s a kitty here.”
Ghost pulled back, and you looked up at his face, his eyes a little bloodshot, but the pain in them was so tangible it tugged at your heartstrings. He reached out again, gentler this time, his fingers brushing against Soap’s head, “Johnny, ‘m sorry. I didn’t mean to. I shoulda been there.”
There were tears in the man’s eyes.
You’d just have to pretend Ghost was a drunk girlfriend.
You reached out to touch his arm,
“Hey, hey, come on. It’s okay, you’re okay. Come in and sit down, yeah?”
Ghost nodded softly, and you gently guided him toward the sofa,
“Take your trainers off and get comfy, yeah? I’ll put the kettle on. Here, have Soap.”
You dumped Soap on his lap, still not entirely sure why he seemed so emotional about the cat. There was something more there. But, it wasn’t your place to pry.
The situation was familiar; once you’d been drunk on that sofa while Ghost made tea, and now the situation was reversed. You chewed your lip as you waited for the kettle to boil. You could hear him calling your cat Johnny again, apologising to him over and over. You didn’t want to interrupt; clearly, the man had some serious demons, but you didn’t want to abandon him either. Instead, you busied yourself with the tea, rummaging in the cupboards louder than usual to drown out his conversation, unwilling to eavesdrop.
With tea and a pint of water in hand, you returned to the living room to find Ghost with his forehead pressed against Soap’s, his shoulders shaking in silence. Fuck.
You set the tea and glass down on the coffee table, eschewing the mandatory coaster in favour of speed as you sat on the sofa next to him, reaching out to place your hand on his back, rubbing it reassuringly,
“Hey, hey, it’s okay, you’re okay.”
His voice was soft, broken, his forehead still pressed against Soap’s.
“S’fucking stupid. Shouldn’t be here.”
“No, no, it’s okay, don’t worry.”
“I didn’t- I couldn’t-“
“Simon, seriously, it’s okay.”
He was quiet then, the only sound being his breathing, the sniffs that accompanied every inhale. You leaned in, resting your head against his shoulder as you did your best to wrap your arm around his broad back, giving him a reassuring squeeze.
Ghost shifted away from your touch after a minute, gently nudging Soap off his lap. He turned away from your touch, his back to you as he pulled off his mask, throwing it at the wall with some force.
“Ghost’s a fucking prick.”
You weren’t sure what to say to that. In fact, you weren’t sure what to do at all, you’d been winging it and it didn’t seem to be helping him. He’d wrapped his arms around his head and buried his face in the corner of the sofa, only the dark blonde hair on the back of his head visible. Strange, you’d always thought of him with black hair. You didn’t know whether to leave or stay, awkwardly perched on the edge of the sofa, unsure whether to touch him or not. A blanket was always a good idea, and you pulled the fluffy throw off the back of your sofa, gently draping it over him.
“Sleep it off, Simon.”
He didn’t respond, and you didn’t press him.
“Goodnight. Please don’t throw up on the carpet.”

Taken - Zutara - Part 82
First / Previous / Next / Masterpost
Leaving the Fire Nation in his uncle's hands was easy. Preparing to leave the Fire Nation so soon after becoming Fire Lord was hell.
He had a hundred things to finalize, his bags still needed to be packed, and Uncle was handing out more and more tea.
"Remember your blood pressure, Nephew," Uncle said, as he passed Zuko what must have been his sixth cup of oolong. "Everything will be fine."
His eye twitched as he quickly chugged the drink. If he sat with it to long, he would start thinking about... And he couldn't get distracted.
While sorting through various Fire Nation tomes, Zuko had stumbled upon various hidden chambers. One had been in his fathers room, where he found a collection of war prizes from the other nations. Air Nomad robes, old Earth Kingdom armor, even a few Water Tribe pelts. He had wrapped up each one, and had put in a pile where his own bags were supposed to go.
The scribes were still replicating almost three dozen texts from the private library. A bit of everything. Some Fire Sage scrolls, a children's story, Love Amongst the Dragons, and some scrolls on Fire Nation history. The last one had to be corrected in some places, of course.
When it was finally time to leave, Zuko had realized he still hadn't gotten his things together. He'd thrown everything he could think of into a bag, and had to hope he had everything he needed.
"And you'll check on Azula?" Zuko was saying, as Suki was physically pulling him to the airship. "And for the love of Agni, Uncle, please no tea holidays. There's too much already going on, I can't come back to extra paperwork, please."
"Nephew," Uncle said, far too easily for Zuko's taste. He pat Zuko's shoulder, helping Suki steer him away. "I will take good care of our country. Please, go. Have fun. Say hello to Chief Hakoda for me."
Finally, he was pushed into the new airship. It had the main structure as the war ships, but was simplified and meant more for transport than offense. It had been one of the side projects he had organized, to give soldiers coming back from the war front jobs until they were able to find work elsewhere. The 'Soldier Career Relocation Project', as his ministers were calling it, was going outstandingly well. Farms were doing great, schools were reporting a massive decrease in firebending injuries, and with the number of jobs offered to reverse damages done by his father, their unemployment was at an all time low.
The airship was definitely still slower than Appa, though, and they were already behind schedule when Zuko called for them to change course to fly over the Si Wong Desert.
"Are you sure?" Suki asked, as the captain quickly directed the airship over the scorching desert. "We're already going to be late."
"There's something I have to do," Zuko explained. He was using a telescope to search for a lone tower rising from the sand. "And it's better to get this done sooner rather than later."
Suki, seeming to sense his displeasure at his coming task, decided not to ask further. She stood to one side, using her fan to keep herself cool.
When Zuko spotted the tower, he urgently ordered the airship over. He asked everyone to stay put, a platform with all the Fire Nation scrolls and texts lowered with him. Zuko and Suki went down, the Kyoshi Warrior staying on the platform, where she barely had room to stand.
Zuko repelled down into the library on his own. He didn't bother to wait for the spirit to show itself before attaching the rope to one of the pillars. There was a rustling of feathers already coming closer.
"You have returned," Wan Shi Tong said, sounding almost annoyed. "Was what you found not to your satisfaction?" A pause. "What are you doing?"
"Keeping my word," Zuko said. Once he was sure the rope was taut, he cupped his hands around his mouth, and called up to the window. "Suki! Start sending them down!"
There was a moment of silence, before a package was sailing down the line on a double ended hook. Zuko caught it before it could hit the pillar. He didn't bother opening it, instead lifting it off the improvised zip line, and setting it aside so he could catch the next. And then the next, and the next, and even more after that.
All the while, Wan Shi Tong watched on.
"What is this?" the spirit asked, once there were twenty or so packages set on the floor.
"I told you the last time I was here," Zuko said, bowing to the bird, "that I would bring back Fire Nation texts if we survived. Well, the comet is tomorrow, and the world is working towards peace."
"And what do ask for in return?" Even as the spirit sounded annoyed, he was using one claw to gently prod a package open to reveal a mix of scrolls and books.
"I ask for nothing," Zuko said, untying the rope. "It was only thanks to your library that we were able to make it as far as we have. It's a gift."
"If there are as many in each, this collection must be around two hundred texts. A pitiful collection, to be sure, but greater than we had. You would give this without asking anything in return?"
Doing his best to keep his voice calm, Zuko nodded. "Yes. Now, I'm leaving."
With a bow, Zuko started to scale the wall, leaving Wan Shi Tong with his new collection. When he reached the top, Suki helped him steady himself on the platform. It was already dark.
"This is where we learned about the eclipse," Zuko explained, as he and Suki were pulled up into the airship again. "I promised a favor as we were leaving."
She didn't press for more, instead settling back into her spot as his right hand. Ty Lee had stayed behind to help Uncle keep an eye on Azula.
When they finally reached Ba Sing Se, it was just after dawn on the day of the opening ceremony, nearly a full day after Zuko said he would arrive. There was a bit of a hold up, where Zuko had to go down and talk to General How at the first wall, before they were directed to take the airship to the edge of the farm ring. From there, Zuko, his luggage, and his staff would all take a trolley to the palace ring.
Everyone was still tired from the early morning arrival, and Zuko was yawning as he stepped off the trolley almost an hour later. He was hoping he could sneak a nap in at some point.
That is, until there was a shout.
"Zuko!"
He snapped up, wide awake, as he turned to find a girl in red and blue jogging down the palace steps towards him.
Katara.

Note
his annoyance were clear -- it was beyond annoyance , really , he's moreso mad . despite that she can't tell tones very well but how he talks and how he acts to her has very much been clear of his angry intentions . she can felt the glare and the anger in his eyes even with her eyes shut close , it's almost like he wants her dead .. but he couldn't do it , not if he want her to be his wife so much . and if he thinks of her to be such prize to be won , then what ?
she was still fearful of him -- that's just normal to her . she was forced to be here , as he tried to force her to be an obedient pet -- to him , his wife must be perfect . something from all angles that are suppose like a beauty sent by god , and she was hand picked by him . he wanted a perfect wife -- who isn't even a wife , he wanted a maid . someone who follows his order with every nod and none of them is to ever try to against him . but she was no maid -- none of his wives were , they were just forced to be one with the luxury put on the table .. yet , not like he was going to give it to them as the moment they became these porcelain dolls all his goods will go back to him . there was nowhere they could go , and nowhere can she go .
home is not near , friends is far gone . all she can try to do now is hope , hope to survive -- hope that something could change this outcome -
the chance .. is there .. is very darkened light , and she might be living in a fairytale but this is her only hope -- her only thought in mind that she need to kept alive in order to keep herself alive . she can't just throw the chance of this all away , she can't . she have people she love to get back to , she have stuffed animals she needs to get back to . she may not have family but she have friends , friends that cares and loves her unlike Regulus .
the silence between them grew loud as she stood there , silent , after her sentence of speaking back to him . her eyes were at the floor , glancing at the throne he wanted to associate with her so badly -- wanting to make her a what ? a queen ? what a laugh , all he wants of her is her vulnerable parts and areas and to use her like a maid . how odd of a word he was using just to get her to follow him -- not even seems like he was convincing her , he was just purely threatening her to get her to listen - but she won't . because why would she ?
there was not a reason she should listen to him --
except death . but that's a better fate than being here . she'll accept the warm embrace of death more than the cold embrace of this man .
as she was about to spoke , lifting her head up but that's when she got immediately slap , her body sways almost to a fall -- that hit was heavy . her eyes widen as it narrows due to the sharp pain she got from a single slap , that maybe one of the hardest slap she have received -- her bully's hand slap wasn't this harsh but she can feel her face swells up and the blood in her mouth slightly .
how horrible .
her face were then gripped , almost making that sharp pain of a slap more worse than it already is . it swells , it hurts , it feels sour and painful . her cheek felt red and sore .
she is not going to listen . she will refuse to obey . there is something she can do . and that is to not listen to a complaint from a man like him .
as her hand came up to grab onto his wrist , her face mixed in with anger , fear , but now with a mix of pain due to the swollen cheek she have been given by the slap . his slap were too harsh .
" if you want someone to follow your commands so much -- then why don't you hire a maid ? "

He stopped for the moment, his grip on her wrist tightened as his eyes narrowed in confusion and slight annoyance. He was not used to someone speaking back to him, especially not in this tone of voice.
He had expected fear, obedience, perhaps even pleading, but not this. This was new, a fresh taste of something that was not quite as sweet as the usual cowering and submission he was accustomed to from those around him. It was as if she had slapped him with a wet fish, leaving him momentarily stunned.
“What did you say to me, who do you think you are, what gives you the right to speak back to me?”
The room, which was once filled with the silent whispers of the soulless dolls, now echoed with her words, bouncing off the walls like a rebellious echo that refused to die down. His eyes searched hers, looking for any sign of weakness, any crack in her resolve that he could exploit, but all he found was a stubborn determination that seemed to be carved into her very soul.
It was almost infectious, and for a brief moment, he felt something akin to admiration for this girl who dared to stand up to him. But that was quickly squashed by the cold reality that he had a plan, and she was a piece that needed to be played.
The silence grew heavier, thickening the air between them until it was almost tangible, a barrier that neither of them seemed willing to break. His grip on her wrist didn't lessen, but his expression did change, his eyes flickering with something unreadable. Was it a spark of interest? Or was it the mere curiosity of a cat playing with a trapped mouse? He was the master of this twisted game, and she was the newest pawn who hadn't realized the rules yet.
But she had something that none of the others had - she had a voice, and she had the courage to use it.
“You will learn your place here, one way or another, you will learn, even if I have to break you.”
With a swift motion, his brought his other hand up and slapped her across the face. The sound echoed through the room, as sharp as a gunshot in the stillness. The dolls' eyes remained unblinking, their perfect faces as unreadable as ever. The sting was immediate, and she could feel her cheek burning, a stark reminder of the power dynamics that she had so unwillingly entered into. But she didn't flinch, didn't look away. She just stood there, her eyes locked with his, filled with a mix of anger and defiance that seemed to surprise him. As he chuckled.
Her head snapped to the side with the force of the slap, and she felt the coppery taste of blood bloom in her mouth. But she didn't dare to touch her face, not in front of him, not now. As he stands there for the moment and just looks at her, as his hand would reach out and grip her face lightly for the moment. “You will do as you are commanded.” There was nothing else for her to say, nothing else for her to do, nothing else to be done, this was the way things are meant to be, she would listen and obey, and that would be the end of it.
