Silent treatment?!
✦the reader getting upset over something and giving them the cold shoulder. happy ending so don't worry
✦characters: Idia Shroud, Leona Kingscholar
✦gn!reader
Tumblr media
Leona Kingscholar – “Tch. You’re so dramatic.”
He dismissed your opinion in front of others. It was small—a strategy for Magift practice—but he’d waved you off with that lazy smirk.
“Yeah, yeah, herbivore. Leave the thinking to the smart ones.”
You didn’t respond.
Didn’t touch him later when he stretched out on the lounge sofa. Didn’t banter with him like usual. Didn’t even smirk back.
And Leona hated it.
He found you under the shade of a tree in the Botanical Gardens later, hands folded and lips sealed.
He dropped beside you with a sigh. “I didn’t mean to make you feel small.” “I just get all barky around the others, I was just tired of those dumbasses. But I shouldn’t have snapped at you.”
You still didn’t speak.
He glanced away, ears flicking with discomfort.
“Look… you make me sharper. You challenge me. I like that. Hell, I need that. So next time I talk down to you…” He gently tugged your wrist. “…hit me. Or kiss me. Your choice.”
You rolled your eyes, but the corner of your mouth twitched.
“I’ll slug you first. Kiss you later.”
“That’s fair,” he said, lips curving in relief.
Tumblr media
Idia Shroud – “I’m being ghosted IRL, AND digitally???”
He forgot a promise. You’d asked him to go to the newly opened cat cafe with you, and he said yes. But when the time came… he got sucked into a boss raid and didn’t show.
You waited.
Then walked home alone.
And the next morning? You didn’t message him. Didn’t heart react to his memes. Didn’t even log into your shared game!
Idia panicked.
“They’re ignoring me… they’re GONE… I’ve been digitally divorced… my social link is broken!!!”
After several hours of existential crisis, he appeared at your door.
With a tablet.
On it? An 8-bit pixel art animation of you and him in matching outfits, with a big banner flashing:
“I’m sorry I stood you up. Will you give this loser another chance?”
You opened the door slowly, arms crossed.
He held up a peace offering: your favorite snack.
“I’m terrible with IRL time management,” he mumbled. “But I never stop thinking about you. Even in dungeons. Especially in dungeons.”
Your heart cracked.
You reached out and pulled him in by the sleeve.
“You’re lucky you’re cute in pixels and real life.” You leaned closer and pressed a soft kiss on his cheek
“Wait—was that a forgiveness kiss bonus combo?!”

I have a lot of unreleased work soooo.... be ready

Any other manifesters and shifters manifesting art skills, styles and knowledge out here like me?
Tumblr media
I am an artist, a creative writer, a musician, an amateur animator and a sucker for cinematography, and i just crave having the skills, knowledge and fundementals of art and animating in my bones already. Because I strive to understand and research for myself, to make up for my lack of experience. To explore and to know where to look to find the thing that will scratch that itch in my brain so i can develop my skills even more.
It's always been my dream since the womb days, to draw everything that came to mind... without the struggle. Like any other artist. I crave to envision something and put it on paper. To envision something and to put it on the screen. To envision something and to put it on a track. To be able to bring my art to life and to share my art with everyone, to impress everyone, to inspire others too and to help them find themselves with the knowledge and research I found a long the way. To speak through art when I can't find the words. To express my feelings when I don't know how to show them
Which is why, I am always an artist in every reality. Without fail, I script in my stacks of sketchpads and notebooks, my 2006 camera and my laptop on its last life like they are part of me. I script that I know everything i need to know to go crazy in the creative fields of art, music and cinematography. Which is also why I have an mha college au reality where I am taking a games and animation course, studying filmography as an indie animator and song artist just like I am here, so I can share my world and how I see the world through ink, pixels, music, lyricism and several different camera filters in another world that practically raised my childhood here.
I want to give back what "they" gave to me ‐ every single on of them ‐ through art, music and film. I don't just want to draw them, i want to capture them through my own eyes and present it to them as a thank you gift. Like i just blinked and told them "oh its nothing. thats just the way i experienced you". Without the stress. Just the flow. And I already know what i want to make. Please, I already have ideas on ideas of projects and pieces stored in this limitless mind of mine that im going to create for my audience, my close ones and myself. Which is why I'm done dreaming.
I'm embodying her. I'm embodying that version of me who already knows everything she needs to just go crazy on a project and be able to sit back after working on it for weeks on months, proud of the way it came out. Confident enough to submit her project, knowing she's got those five distinctions in the bag, like always. Confident enough to show it off to her audience, knowing they'll be amazed and inspired. Confident enough to present it to "them", ALL of them, and know they will be so so proud of me and flattered I made that for them.
Ofc, they don't know the full extent to why I put in all the effort for them. They don't need to. They just need to know how much they mean to me. And they mean months of restless nights, to make animation projects inspired by them that they never knew about, songs subliminally written about them which they also aren't aware of, stupid ideas I had of what they would be like inserted into my favourite media and a worlds worth of knowledge to get everything perfect, just right.
Did that even make sense??

Pixel by Pixel
Word count: 1k
Summary: Damian never had a childhood. Raised by the League of Assassins, trained in every deadly art imaginable—but nothing in his life prepared him for… Minecraft.
a/n: in other words i thought to hard about this
Tumblr media
Tim had only mentioned Minecraft in passing, scrolling through his phone as they waited for Bruce to finish a mission with Superman. Damian, perched stiffly on the edge of the Batcomputer chair like it was a throne, had blinked.
“Minecraft?” Damian echoed, his brow furrowing. Damian says the word like it’s a foreign language—which, to him, it practically is. “What is that?”
Tim looked up slowly, unsure if he’d heard right. “You’ve… never heard of Minecraft?”
Damian crossed his arms, scowling. “Should I have?”
Tim stared for a second, then shrugged with a small grin. “Only the best-selling video game in the world. It’s, like, digital Lego. Wait do you know what Legos are? Never mind, we will deal with that later. You build stuff, mine stuff, fight monsters-you know what“ Tim stands up, practically bouncing with excitement. “We are playing Minecraft.”
Tumblr media
And that’s how, an hour later, Damian Wayne finds himself sitting cross-legged on the floor of the Batcave’s gaming nook-which is really just the batcomputer Tom hacked to be a giant Minecraft game, a controller in hand, brow furrowed in concentration.
“So what is the objective?” Damian asks, already judging the pixelated graphics. “It looks… simplistic.”
“The beauty is in the simplicity, demon spawn,” Tim says, booting up a co-op world. “You survive, mine resources, build stuff. There’s no set goal unless you go after the Ender Dragon.”
Damian’s eyes narrow. “A dragon?”
Tim grins. “A blocky one. Trust me, it’s cooler than it sounds.”
Tumblr media
Damian refused to play on peaceful mode—of course—and insisted on using the hardest difficulty. He also refused to build a basic house his first night and opted instead to dig a long, deep trench and call it a “defensible position”, getting ready to build his fortress.
“You don’t even have a bed,” Tim said, watching from behind as Damian’s Steve character wielded his fists with unsettling precision. “You’re gonna get spawn-killed if you die.”
“I do not intend to die,” Damian replied coolly, just before a creeper dropped into his trench from above and exploded.
Tim choked on his soda laughing.
Tumblr media
Damian Wayne had killed a man with a pencil before he was ten. He could recite the name of every pressure point in the human body. He could disappear into the shadows without a sound, disassemble and reassemble a Glock 17 blindfolded, and win a chess match in under five minutes.
What he couldn’t do, apparently, was understand what the hell a “creeper” was.
“Why is this green abomination exploding?”
“That’s a creeper, Damian.”
“You didn’t tell me it could self-destruct! What kind of grotesque biology is that?!”
“You need a sword.”
“Well how on earth to I get that Drake?”
“You punch trees to get wood.”
“You what.”
Damian breaks the first tree with disgust, then pride.
“I’m building a fortress.”
“Dude, it’s your first night. Just make a dirt hut.”
“I have standards, Drake.”
Tumblr media
“You know,” Tim said one night, after they’d been playing co-op for two hours, “you’re actually kinda good at this.”
“Obviously,” Damian muttered, focused on lining his hidden vault with obsidian. “It is all strategy. Resource management. Tactical positioning. And brute force.”
Tim smiled faintly. “Didn’t think you’d like it this much.”
Damian hesitated, his hands pausing on the controller. “I never had time for… this. Games. When I was young.”
Tim glanced over at him. “You’re still young, Damian.”
A beat. Damian didn’t respond.
“I will kill that creeper next time. Mark my words.”
Tim chuckled and respawned next to him. “Let’s do it together.”
And in that strange little blocky world of mobs and mined diamonds, under a pixelated moon, Damian Wayne learned—just a little—how to be a kid. And how to be a little brother.
Tumblr media
The next hour was full of:
• “Why does punching stone not give me stone?”
• “Why does the spider make that noise—stop hissing at me, coward!”
• “Tt. I refuse to use Jungle. It is visually offensive.”
• “What do you mean the Endermen teleport and I can not?! That’s cheating!”
Tumblr media
By day three, Damian has:
• Built a fortified stone castle on a mountain, with a trench.
• Tamed and adopted thirteen wolves.
• Declared war on the local villagers for “poor architectural choices.”
• Accidentally fell into lava while monologuing about justice.
Tim has never laughed harder in his life.
Tumblr media
Something changes between them.
They start playing together more often. Tim helps him explore caves; Damian saves Tim from a skeleton ambush. They bicker, sure, but there’s laughter. Real laughter.
Damian never got to build something just because he wanted to. He never got to play.
Until now.
Tumblr media
On one rainy Gotham afternoon, Bruce walks in to check on them. He stops when he hears:
“Good shot, Drake. You actually have decent aim.”
“And you didn’t threaten to disembowel me. Progress!”
Laughter. Two voices. No tension.
Bruce smiles softly and leaves them be.
Tumblr media
Bonus: Damian’s Journal Entry
“Today I encountered an enemy known as a ‘creeper.’ I hate it. I also built a secret redstone trap beneath Drake’s bed. I hope it launches him into a ravine. Minecraft is… tolerable.”

I love your artstyle!! Do you have any tips for drawing?
thank you so much! i'm really happy you like it!!💗 as for tips, what i would say would change drastically depending on what kind you're looking for, but some very general ones:
draw what you love and want to see most, regardless of whether anyone else wants to see it. if you don't enjoy what you're drawing it'll never come out as good or genuine as something your whole heart and soul is in. i mean you'd think this would be a no-brainer but sometimes i've had to sit back and ask myself 'if no one was ever going to see this except me, would i actually spend time drawing this?' and i was surprised by the answer
that said, it is also completely valid if your motivation for drawing is to draw for other people! there have been plenty of times where i was too artblocked to draw my own ideas but was still able to draw commissions or gifts and enjoyed it simply because making other people happy with my art makes me happy.
don't get too caught up in having a consistent art style. in my experience this 1000% hinders you
having your sense of anatomy degrade over time without you noticing because you keep drawing the same types of characters is a very real thing! if this is a concern to you be sure to draw a variety
follow a billion artists that you like the art of and you will have endless inspiration injected directly into your brain every time you open social media
my favourite practical tip for those who draw at a desk: keep a small mirror next to you at all times. absolute game changer for quickly referencing hands
if you're drawing digitally, make the canvas huge! in my experience this lets you draw messier/faster and you can't tell at all when you zoom out. if you tend to get stuck spending unnecessary amounts of time micromanaging pixels (me💀) keep it zoomed out while drawing
related to the above point, messy drawings can have far more expressiveness in them than neat and polished drawings. nowadays i never do lineart and go straight from 'barebones stickman pose' to 'varying-levels-of-coherent sketch' and use that as my lineart. sweet freedom from the sketch-looks-better-than-the-lineart phenomenon
if your goal is to improve, then you really do have to scrutinize your art, figure out what you're not satisfied with, and commit the time to focusing on it. 'practice makes perfect' kinda rubs me the wrong way because of how much i've seen it interpreted as 'just draw everyday and you'll magically improve' but genuinely it won't get you very far if you don't actively think hard about what you're trying to improve and take the steps to do it. is this a hot take idk. also hand in hand with this, not every artist is trying to improve and you shouldn't feel bad for this! maybe you just wanna make a little headshot doodle of your fave blorbo and that's your only drawing goal ever. awesome. maybe you know your art has flaws but it's passable enough to convey what you want and you're perfectly satisfied with that. (this is the stage i'm usually at). also awesome!
don't hesitate to draw something because you think it's out of your skill level. the worst that can happen if you draw it is that it comes out terribly but you learned something and can always redraw it better in the future. the worst that WILL happen if you don't draw it is that you'll never draw it. and then it will sit in the back of your brain haunting you for years. it's not like i'm speaking from experience or anything aha
look up 'hand stretches for artists' and do them if you draw a lot unless you wish to summon the wrath of the carpal tunnel demons
of course, these may not necessarily work for you, and most importantly(!) these are coming from the perspective of someone who is primarily a hobbyist. some of this won't be practical for people who need to build an audience, maintain a consistent style for work, etc. these are just things that have personally helped me over many years of drawing :)

Some Outer Wilds themed Sprites - About four months old for the hatchling and fish, the Undertale one is just under two months old.
There's also a landscape pixel scene at the end of the keep reading.
I lost my will to connect with art until I discovered the joy of making sprites. I think there was something about having something tangible very quickly that was super appealing. I think as an artist that is just starting out it can be very discouraging when you're measuring up against people who have been doing what they have been for such a long time. You don't see the years of experience that happened behind the scenes of whatever is in front of you.
But sprites, most importantly you can get something pretty decent with enough dedication, issues that are too expansive to understand all at once become much more accessible.
You don't have to have perfect anatomy to have a workable sprite.
You don't have to understand colour theory nor composition to lay out something fun to look at.
When I was learning how to make games they would always tell me pixel art was like art for non artists.
Sprites are wonderful, especially now when we're not constrained by hardware, you can do some wild stuff.
Art is so fascinating, I think different ways of working make you think about different aspects that can flow into other areas.
I use these to push my characterisation now, you have such a small canvas (I work at 96x96 and expand to 288x288) you really need to think about a hierarchy of importance. It's all about distilling the essence of what you're trying to convey.
That being said this isn't how I started, my first sprites took days, endlessly worrying about every single pixel. Learning how to sprite took a few months of really dedicated creation. I learned by creating for Pokemon fangame Infinite Fusion (Most of them can be seen here: https://www.fusiondex.org/artists/assassiowl/), there's a dedicated community of artists, with a huge list of base sprites that you can paint over.
When you're not confident in what you're doing, having access to resources like that is a wonderful thing to be grateful for. You can forget about things like anatomy and colours (to an extent) while you pick it up along the way. Even better when you meet encouraging people who teach you things you might have missed along the way.
The problem as a beginner I always had was, nothing I made looked even ok, it was beyond frustrating not being able to make anything look even passable. It's super disheartening that when you put so many hours into something and you have nothing to show for it.
It put me off art for such a long time. But the wonderful thing when you're editing something that already exists, is you can still get it too look pretty good. I mashed two pokemon together, someone else has already worried about what their key features and personalities are, all I have to do is find a way to bring out both halves.
But really, I think the most important thing for creating in general is to find what you actually enjoy doing, yeah that's vague and it sucks while you're looking, but there needs to be something that makes you want to keep showing up on the days where you don't feel like it.
I play games a lot, so this was just putting into practice everything I've been passively absorbing for such a long time.
I still make sprites and pixel art, but not nearly as regularly as I used to. I made this landscape using the familiar tools of pixel art, but I really wanted to start exploring some more complicated ideas, which aren't really possible with just a small character canvas.
Asking a friend about why they stepped away from sprites, they said something similar, that they wanted to create backgrounds for their characters, I suppose I get that sentiment now.

I've been holding this idea in the back of the head ever since my tablet stopped working this past week. I didn't commit to it until today and it took me many hours to understand how to do the animation properly and drawing Spam with pixels with the mouse and nervous clicks, and then doing the case... I was hyperfixated on this all day and it's almost 5 AM now sdkjhadfkhfgd
It's a charm of good luck, to attract love and kromer 😁 Use it wherever you want and might it bring you riches and affection 💌
I'll head to sleep... feeling so wasted but I guess this practice was worth it. Who knows, maybe I can make one for Swatch some day, but first I need to recover from this work hyperfixation 😴
(I saw a new attack on my Art Fight -- I'll get back at you when I get some rest)

Musing out loud
This post may not be what you think. I just noticed a single negative comment in my feed for the first time in months. I can probably count on my hands the few times my 2,000+ posts have been criticized. Outside of our gay AI-generative bubble, there is a lot of noise around this still relatively new form of expression...the debate whether it's art or not or is the AI learning process actually learning or stealing from legit artists. The hetero creators seem to get more flack over their impossibly volumed busty creations. In my other life, I push pixels professionally with little use for generative AI (though machine learning tools in Adobe have been a lifesaver). My work hasn't been threatened yet. I chose to learn and embrace this technology so that when the time does come in my day job, I can adapt, rather than be left behind.
But here in our world of gay generative creations, we're having a lot of fun discovering what we can do. This is a new revolution that in many ways to can be compared to the tools Adobe and MetaCreations gave us years and decades ago with morph, warp, and liquify tools visualize our desires to share with others.
And there is room for this new form of expression without shoving out the works leading up to this point. HS Muscleboy's sketches are legendary and can still excite me! Silverjow will never be out-AI'ed (is that a thing) from their artwork that practically bulges off the screen without the need for 3d specs. And many, many others that I hope continue to create.
Back into the generative AI segment...I do hope that general consumers do understand that there are different levels of effort in this from casual or carefully worded prompts into MidJourney or Bing, to the works of those that train their own models and Loras, pushing and directing their creations via dozens of tweaks via ComfyUI, Automatic1111, and other emerging tools.
Myself? I fall somewhere in between. I'm not so good at training models which takes some patience and dozens if not hundreds of source images and coaxing. I do what I can and try to come in from the analog side of things and sketch the final touches of what the AI gives me.
Hey if you followed my musing this far...what do you think? I suppose I'm looking for some feedback. I wonder if this stuff is worth my time beyond just collecting likes. (I love the likes though and I like all of you back!)

TW for the entire blog: horror, frequent animal death, body horror, blood. THE ENTIRE BLOG IS ABOUT THE WOODS NEEDING BLOOD SACRIFICES. I will tag things as best as I can, but viewer discretion is advised!
Welcome to ForestClan! My online name is either Smashy or Gal, whichever you prefer. Pronouns are she/her. This is a Clangen blog that is inspired by a modified run of Clangen, using "The Woods" mod. It's also based on Gemini Home Entertainment, an analog horror series by Remy Abode. Other Clangen blogs, like @rippleclan and @mourningsbane, and some of @bonefall's Better Bones AU, also served as inspiration. Go check them out if you haven't; they make fantastic work! Here are some general rules I follow for this blog: 1. This will be a mixture of drawn artwork, pixel art using in-game sprites, expanded interaction details, and short writing pieces. Think of it like you found a visual novel game on an old TV set! 2. Asks are open! You can ask a question to any character. It may reveal some of their motivations, or reveal ForestClan's past. 3. "The Woods" is a mod that was based off of a "Clangen challenge", where set rules and titles had to be followed, like the leader was called the Keeper of Secrets, and could not be sent to feed the woods unless there was no other option. For the sake of narrative intrigue, ForestClan has just undergone a revolution of sorts, and these titles and rules are being challenged by the new leader and deputy. So "challenge rules" are not going to be followed to the letter! Here are the rules I WILL be following:
Every 5 moons, the woods are hungry. A cat must go on a solo border patrol to attempt to feed the woods. Other conditions may be met - such as certain border events resulting in deaths, OR, if a war event/disaster event is triggered and results in a death, I manually reset the wood's hunger counter to 0. This is done for narrative intrigue, since there are no other clans surrounding ForestClan, and the wood's main danger will be Woodcrawlers!
If by the 7th moon, the woods haven't been fed, the woods take a random cat. In the original challenge, the limit is 10 moons, and so is the timer in the mod - but for the sake of narrative tension, I'll manually keep track of the moons passed!
Kits are vulnerable to the woods! When a kit is born, the game rolls an internal die to see if they're taken by the woods. 1-3 they live, 4-6 they die. This applies to adopted litters as well - but I'll need to manually roll for them instead.
Apprentices can go on solo patrols to see if the woods accept them for training. While Redstar has banned the practice of them, that doesn't mean the apprentices won't go off on their own...in other words, I'll send a cat on an apprentice trial if I can come up with a narrative reason a cat would willingly go on one!
4. I have no set schedule for these; I'm an adult who's practicing doing art for fun. Hope you enjoy the ride!

You just need to exercise moRE. Your physical strength has declined after doing nothing but sitting in chairs all dAY, you knOW.
Tsumugi: I’m not sure if it’s a case of not getting enough exercise, though… I’d still train as an idol, after all.
Well, I do admit I’ve been sitting in a chair more than anything else, however. I’ve started taking walks in my free time as of late, you know?
I’ve been enjoying having generous amounts of free time since I quit being vice president, too. Like getting to feed the birds in the hanging garden. ♪

Natsume: SiGH… WeLL, I suppose it is a good thing that Senpai’s no longer pushing himself too haRD.
AnywaYS, enough idle chattER. Let’s start our development meeting for our game for our Fan ThanX Festival.
Let’s start with thIS. Here’s what I’ve got so far for the primary map screen for the gaME.
You look tOO, Senpai. If anything feels off to yOU, let me knOW.
Tsumugi: Whoa, this is amazing! The map you built for the fantasy game was too, but you’ve actually got a shrine incorporated into this one!
I had no idea you could make such beautiful maps with pixel art~. It really shows how much technology has progressed.
Natsume: Pixel art has been utilized in games for a long time nOW, thouGH. This here’s the result of photographing plenty of background reference material at the locatiON.
As of right nOW, the game is set at a shriNE. The next step is to create the content for the game itseLF.
I’ve taken account of the feedback we’ve received from Yuuki-kun and Kanna-kun, who tested its precursOR. I think I’ll refrain going down the RPG rouTE, for the time beiNG.
Sora: Huh, it’s not gonna be an RPG anymore?
Natsume: I’ll prepare a miniature story for iT, so I won’t refrain from it completeLY.
A requirement for this game is that for it to be released at the Fan ThanX Festival, it should be easy to enjOY. Another is that it should express our gratitude to those who support Switch.
And sO, I’m thinking of taking a bolder approach by changing it to a format of a game with multiple individual mini gamES.
Tsumugi: Mini games? Games that are like rock-paper-scissors?
Natsume: In essenCE, yES. But a game like rock-paper-scissors would be too simpLE, I’d like the games I prepare to be on the more elaborate siDE.
I’d like you guys to help me in coming up with ideas for the mini gamES.
Tsumugi: So we’re here to brainstorm, huh… Compared to you two, I don’t know all that much about games, though.
So I understand that the game is set at a shrine, but what role will be playing in the game?
Natsume: In the new setting I’ve thought uP, the game world is a magical space formed by Switch as a means to express their gratitude to their faNS.
As we are the creators of this worLD, we are the chief priests of the shriNE. Or perhaPS, it might even be more characteristic for us to be the deities enshrined theRE.
Tsumugi: Oh, is it something that can still be changed if needed?
Natsume: I was thinking about discussing the specifics of the world’s setting with you guYS.
Tsumugi: I see~. I think the setting you’ve come up with is perfectly fine!
Well, I guess I’m a little shy to call myself something like a god, though.
Sora: HiHi~! Without a doubt, the gods that have created this world are Sora, Senpai, and Shisho~!
As gods, let’s make this world a wonderful place as a way to say thank you to all the fans!
Tsumugi: That’s right. And to achieve that, we need to come up with mini games that everyone can enjoy.
So, Natsume-kun, what kind of mini games do you have in mind?
Natsume: As of right nOW, I have a mini game in mind that involves drawing up a number of magic circles in miND.
I definitely want to add the “magician” concept that Switch has in at least somewheRE.
Tsumugi: That sounds good. And the wider variety of magic circles there are, the less likely the fans will get bored.
What about you, Sora-kun? Do you have any ideas for mini games?
Sora: Sora definitely wants to try making something like an action game!
Natsume: An action gaME… Perhaps something simple enough to be created with pixel aRT, like a side-scroller of sorTS.
Tumblr media
Sora: HuHu~! Sora will aim to dethrone Mario!
Tsumugi: That’s quite a lofty goal there~. His name is so big in the gaming industry even I know of it.
Sora: Everyone always says that it’s best to dream big! Sora reaches for the very top, whether it’s as an idol or as a game dev~…♪
Natsume: FuFU, you’re amazing as alwaYS, Sora. We all could learn a thing or two from such foolhardy ambitiON.
So, have you come up with any ideas yET, Senpai? The longer you take in making a proposAL, the less feasible it becomES.
Tsumugi: Right… Given the setting is a shrine and all, I’d like to make a mini game that involves charms one way or another.
One where the more charms you collect, the happier you’ll become, or something…
Natsume: HmM. This is just a suggestiON, but perhaps a treasure hunt game that uses charms as treasurES?
Tsumugi: Oh, I like that! And the more treasures you find, the happier you’ll become!
But, these ideas are being come up with at the spot. Are they really alright? Will any of these run into technical difficulties?
Natsume: WeLL, mayBE. I’ll see if they’re possible or not once I actually try creating the gaME.
We don’t have much time left until the Fan ThanX Festival, so I’ll be relying on you two quite a lOT, alrigHT?
Tsumugi: That’s fine, of course! And leave the arrangements and such for the live to us.
Sora: HeHe~! Let’s all create a live and a game so amazing that the fans won’t be able to think about anything else…☆

dr extreme ramble posting with spoilers
spent way too long looking up shit i missed and stuff on the website and feeling like a conspiracy theorist and i know other people probably already pointed stuff out but
the code being 1225, noelle's blog name holidaygirl1225, the "gumball"/prize pod machine in one of the wardrobes and the fact in game you access it by putting in 1225 points in the b rank prizepod machine I'M BIG BRAINING IT'S ALL ALREADY BEEN THERE the "lacquer triangle" def a guitar pic and /dess is the guitar that in game has the code written and we know starts with 122
ALSO all of the alludes to the chapter four egg /windows being where you go to the egg room that leads to the book and the prophecy panel that says "roots" which is the tab title for /lostwheretheforestwouldgrow and also the npc in that room saying things mixed up and bringing up each word "lost where the forest would grow" and ends the dialogue with "the poor children!" /thepoorchildren is tab titled therapy and in game when you get to the actual egg area you end up in a doctors office where the secretary says the patients are waiting for kris, you then go into the dark room where people are drawing trees and then kris themself draw, drawing the lines over and over again until it was perfect then smudged and then a tree was painted on top and then kris gets the egg which is exactly what you do on /thepoorchildren where you draw with pixels until a tree forms over top that clicking on leads to /egg talking to the secretary after getting the egg in game "how did the session go? they say art is therapeutic... which one of you was the patient, anyway?"
also going in reverse, /rarecats having the "mike" fight cats where clicking on the angel one leads you to /windows in the first place, it taking place in the church
and getting to /rarecats from /rain where in noelle's blog post she talks about how her mom made them cancel school for heavy rain in game toriel cancels choir practice because of the rain, but susie and kris go to the church and therefore the darkworld
going back to ch.3 stuff in /ramb going to /romb if you dont click the invisible link it brings up the dialogue "if only you had the [blank], your luck might have gone another way. No [blank], no Crystal." which hints at needing the shadow mantle to even fight the roaring knight to get the shadow crystal not clear on what the tab title might be referencing exactly "no one will shed a tear for him"
/d_a_m_n_y_o_u_t_e_n_n_a leads to /icepalace_glaceir where noelle blog posts about a cross shaped maze in dragon blazers that no matter what brings you back to the same room and "Normally one of the characters is supposed to guide you through the maze" but as a kid she found out where to go by going in every possible direction, only to end up at a locked door that she never found the key for but to even get to /icepalace_glaceir you have to click the tv on /d_a_m_n_y_o_u_t_e_n_n_a and scroll down, clicking the object that has no link, turning the screen blue and the ocean sound plays from the game boards of chapter 3, scrolling up shows a crude representation of the glacier path and door you find in the 2nd swordroute game, which has the segment where you follow the white mage through the maze that leads you to a locked door

Sibling Time! (A Wally Darling x GN Reader Short Story)
You are trying to babysit your little sibling, but it seems like an odd puppet keeps showing up in their favorite show, Sesame Street.
TW: Obsessive Behavior, TV Hijacking
Your parents are out, once again, so you are now forced to take care of your five year old step-sister, Mary. It's always been a bit difficult to connect with her, considering that you are an adult and she's a toddler, but you both have one thing in common: you both like puppets.
As such, you don't mind watching her favorite show, Sesame Street, with her. Even though you are more interested in the puppetry than the characters, like she is, it is still enough to keep you engaged. Even better, it gives you some time to go on your phone, and look up your most recent interest.
You found a weird website about some lost media. It's a show called Welcome Home, which people are trying to recover. They've gotten a lot of stuff recovered, too! Old advertisements, interviews, art... though, there have been strange happenings around the website. Odd links, hidden pages, even secret messages. It's intriguing.
"Lala lala lala lala Elmo's World!" "Look, (N/N)! Elmo!" Mary points at the screen, grinning widely. She bounces up and down with joy in her seat on the couch. You chuckle, nodding and shuffling in your seat next to her "Yes, it is! I wonder what he's got in store for today?" You look back to your phone, looking at the Welcome Home website. The picture of Wally Darling on the homepage seems a bit off. It is almost like his smile isn't as wide as before. You pay no mind, however, thinking that it might just be a glitch or update.
Suddenly, Mary taps your shoulder. You look down at her, raising an eyebrow at her frowning face. "Is something wrong?" She nods, pointing to the screen "A ghost is haunting Elmo's home!" "What?" "A ghost with big hair! Look!"
You look at the screen, shocked to see that it's... glitching? There is an array of brightly colored pixels covering the corners of the screen. The show seems to be playing, mostly, as normal with Elmo chatting away. You can tell what Mary thinks is a ghost, though, as you see it move.
It looks like a show, or more specifically, a character is bleeding through the broadcast. You can't see the colors, but you can see the outline as is distorts the picture on screen as it moves. Everything within its silhouette is pixelated. Usually, you would chalk it up to a broadcasting error, like the show accidentally playing two episodes at once. You've never seen this character in the show, though...
Is this a television hijacking?
You don't know, it you don't want Mary to wait and find out. Most TV hijackings are a bit unnerving, weird, or overall just not appropriate for young children to see. You pick up Mary, carrying her to her room and saying "I'll figure it out. For now, how about you go draw a picture for Elmo?" She nods, smiling nervously. "Okay! I'll draw the ghostie, too! Maybe the ghosties just needs a friend?" "Sure! You can draw the ghostie. Be sure to leave the ghostie a nice message, too!" You drop her off in her room, hand her some snacks, juice, paper and crayons. Then, you go back to the living room to investigate.
Your eyes widen at how distorted the screen has become. It's practically just static, now, with the faintest silhouette of a character. As you step a bit closer to the screen, you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket. You quickly take a peek at the website, seeing that the homepage has now definitely changed. Wally Darling is now completely gone. There isn't even a black silhouette or cut out of him. It's like he was never sitting on the rock in that picture. Same with the cast all sitting at the bottom. Wally just... disappeared. Even the little pixelated Wally is gone!
You look back to the TV as you hear music. Your brain begins to put two and two together. As insane as it sounds, the only explanation you can think of is that the disappearance of Wally on the website has to do with the TV's glitching. Why?
Wally Darling has now appeared, clear as day, on your television screen.
You quickly call your friend, holding the cellphone to your ear as he picks up. "Ed, I have no time for hello. Turn on your TV to Sesame Street!" "What? Why?" "I need to check something. Turn it on!" "Okay...?"
You stare at the screen as the yellow puppet waves at you. You hear the sounds of Sesame Street from the other end of the line. "(Y/N)... It's just Sesame Street. Why did you want me to do this?" You grow quiet, realizing that it must just be your TV that is being affected. "I'm sorry... I just uh... I just wanted to see if an error I'm having is just me. Thanks for helping, though! Goodbye!" You quickly hang up.
"Hello, neighbor! Where's Mary?" Wally looks around, standing in a void of silent static. His voice is a bit muffled, almost like he is talking through water. When he speaks, you can also hear the faintest sound of the Sesame Street episode continuing in the background. In the static, you can see a few, vaguely silhouetted hills and houses fading into sight. You can just barely make them out, however.
You cross your arms, immediately growing defensive and concerned at the mention of Mary's name. Yes, it could possibly be a different Mary... but as far as you know, this broadcast is only being shown to you. You can only assume that, whoever is showing you this, is talking about your sister. You take a step back, getting ready to go get your sister and leave the house. The person showing you this most likely can't see you at the moment, so you still have time to leave and call the police from a safer place-
"Neighbor, where are you going? Don't leave me! I'm spending so much energy trying to make this work!" He lurches forward, placing his hands against the screen. You even hear a sound similar to someone hitting glass as his hands hit the screen, like some sort of window. You flinch away, shocked. "I need this! I know I can trust you to bring me- us back!"
You tense up. This is strange. Now that you know he can see you, tell that you didn't say anything... you don't know what to do. You swallow thickly, saying "You... who are you?" His grin seems to, somehow, grow wider. "Don't you know who I am, neighbor? I'm Wally Darling!"
He leans against the screen, his pupils widening as he stares at you. "You really should know who I am... You look at me all the time! You read about me all the time, too!" In the background, the familiar buildings of the neighborhood fade in. Home, Barnaby's house, Frank's house... they're all there.
Wally spins happily, before saying "I want you to be the first viewer of our reboot, neighbor! I trust you to have a good eye for content... You take care of Mary so well, so you must be good at knowing what is right for children, these days." "Why me? Why not someone else?" "It MUST be you! It can't be anyone else! I have been carefully looking through each person to see who would be perfect for this!" "Okay... But I'm not getting Mary to watch it." "That's alright, neighbor."
He steps back, clearing his throat. Then, he puts on a winning smile as he says the opening line "Hello, neighbor! Welcome Home!"

I’m so impressed with how many styles you have and that you use them regularly (realistic, semi realistic, 2d, and 2d, 3d & pixel animation)! How did you learn to balance this many and get so good in all of them?
THANK YOUUUU this compliment means so much to me because so often i feel so worried I will stagnate since I basically like to draw the same subject matter over and over again 😳 but I do like to periodically try new things that I'll become invested in for chunks of time.
i guess advice more than just 'practice' is to be willing to try out new things that you have an interest in, even if it doesn't work out at first and is frustrating. you gotta be persistent to learn something new BUT if you get bored then just move on! if it sucks hit da bricks.... I really like this bjork quote abt creativity
Tumblr media
idk throughout my life in art i just try to learn about stuff i'm interested in and practice what i wanna practice. like i wanted to get good at pixeling when i was like 14 so i kept practicing and trying new ways to go about it until i started to figure it out. same with digital painting when i was 15 and i just kept trying again and again until it clicked, even though i was frustrated a lot, i never actually lost the interest when i saw people's pretty paintings and that feeling of 'man i wish i could do that!'.... so i literally couldn't stop myself from trying over and over at painting. it goes beyond just drawing too. planet earth is fun because ANYTHING u are interested in you can try........ i make fursuit heads and other crafts to see if i can! this year i started making my own songs and also learned leather-working because i saw a cool craft and wanted to try :3
part of it is letting yourself age too because as you get older you will grow interested in new things. i am 27!! i've been drawing since i could hold a pencil. that's a long time to encounter a lot of stuff to get obsessed about and wanna try out for myself. SUCCESS TIP!: i typically pursue things that are adjacent to other skills i already have invested in, like drawing to 3d sculpture to digital modeling, or start blending them like sculpture + coding skills = 3d animation rigging. The reason is because a lot of these skills are transferable and make it easier to pick up. like a skill tree in a video game... and you'll end up in weird places like sculpture to sewing to leathercraft. It's nice to have creative hobbies you can be sorta be mediocre at without attaching your self worth to it, but other people still often find it impressive anyways because it's stuff they've never tried to do. It's really healing and easier to like what you create And yourself by extension when you're just having fun and learning without having to worry about the end product being "good". Anything you try is not a waste because you are learning new skills and more often than not, something you've learned is transferable to some other area of your life!!!!!!!!! nothing is ever a waste of time.
this is also the secret cure to art block btw well actually there are two secret cures. a) is you have to embrace the art block and go get obsessed with some other creative thing for a bit. either that or b) go absorb other people's creativity to a bit and watch some shows and read books or talk to people. c) is a mix of both. eventually you'll return to art again feeling fresh and motivated if you're willing to give it a few months. I think art block really just means you're bored and need a change of scenery one way or another 🤔 that's just my onion though
TL;DR have fun pursuing things just because you like them. as you keep doing it you'll just get better at it through practice whether you really intend to or not.
