Edmond Mbiaka . 2017 has been more about me protecting my peace, reclaiming my time, focusing on rebuilding myself; confidence and all, and walking away from anything including people that have threatened my peace in anyway shape or form. 2017 has been about complete #focus. Focus on healing, focus on mending and focus on building. Thanks to this, I am gradually coming back into my own. Slowly recognising the woman that was lost, rebuilding, molding and shaping her back into her God ordained purpose and destiny. God is at the helm and in the driving seat and it's good and absolutely fantastic to know him on my own without religious fanatics putting me down. 2017 has been a blessing and am not looking back or taking no prisoners. Dressing for the interview and sticking with it.That's a phrase which in a perfect world should not even have to be emphasized. It's onlylogical, right? The job interview is normally seen as the first impression shining moment ofone's career. Acing those first few minutes, can usually determine whether or not you get thatjob. Or it's back to square one.Certain aspects go into preparing for the big day, dress the part which is usually the standardconservative business casual. Alternatively, there's the more polished sophisticated office attiredepending where and with whom the interview will take place. Other steps of preparation arejotting out how to get to the interview, so as not to be late and arriving within the standard ten-minute window.Following these steps bump the chances of landing the job up to a few notches. However, oncethe offer letter has been sent out all the papers are signed Ts get crossed, and I's dotted. Thegloves tend to come off per say revealing an overly casual look and bad habit of sliding throughthe door one minute before or after the required start time.Are these tendencies considered normal or could leave the employers feeling as if they justgot the old bait and switch?To think that the preparation which goes into the job interview, would still be taken day in andday out of the workday is simply unrealistic. Once the hurdle of the interview is taken downpeople start to relax it's only natural that preparation which goes into a normal day at the officeisn't so meticulous.

However, this should not translate into preparation becoming too lax. Common sense shouldtake a front seat, especially at the office. The last thing anyone wants to happen is the bosswondering if little green men abducted their employee n the middle of the night and sent in aclone replacement. Suddenly the phrase who are you and what have you done with the personI hired becomes less cliché and more of a serious statement.When does casual cross the line into sloppy?Deciding on a more relaxed look at work, should go hand in hand what exactly is appropriatefor the current environment. There's always a time a place is not just a lesson we learn aschildren. For instance, the footwear. The term they won't be looking at your feet only workedwhen getting a new pair of shoes is just not financially possible. Thus, the end result issomething not as bright and shiny as we would like them to be. What should be avoided at allcosts are inappropriate footwear.Dressing for the job is not something that should be taken lightly. In a professionaladministrative environment, comfortable footwear doesn't translate into flip-flops and sandals.You may want to be at the Copacabana, but you're not. So, stick to a comfy pair of ballet flatsinstead. At only around the price range of just $20-40 they are comfortable and won't break thebank.Fresh as a spring garden not a perfume bath...One of the biggest pet peeves a lot of people have is a sensitivity to fragrances. It's a rule ofthumb that for job interviews to generally lay of putting any perfume or body splash on is amust. This could lead to landing the job or making a horrible first impression before you evenget a chance to say anything. The reason behind this is that some people tend to be allergic toor very sensitive to fragrances.

If theoutfit you've chosen for the day wouldn't be good enough to wear around an important houseguest for the first time, then you probably want to lay of wearing it in the office.The outfit makes the man or in this case the woman rings loud and clear. One fashion trendthat has become quintessential to our age is Leggings and Yoga Pants No longer are theystrictly considered gym wear, but have expanded to become the next fashion statement.However, just because it's cute doesn't necessarily mean showing them off at work is goodjudgement. At only $20-30 a pair it's not a surprise, they have become a craze.For those who just can't resist wearing them to the office, pairing them with a stylish blouse ortop that reaches to mid-thigh level is a must. Their prices can range from $15-40, but if wearingthem to work is irresistible, then making an investment in a few of these is a top priority. Theirfitted nature can turn them into an inappropriate look for the workplace. However, wearingthem together with these tops could turn into the accessory to a cute outfit which is stillconservative enough not to leave the boss in a whirl wind.The office is not the place to show of what causes you support or logos you considerinspirational or catchy.Another fashion mishap that a lot of people tend to commit even though common sense tellsthem it's simply not appropriate, is the trusty T-shirt or top that contains phrases or logos. Thisis especially true if the company promotes a certain product. Committing this offense couldresult in a conflict of interest. Which might actually lead to cause for termination. Certain linesshouldn't be crossed, and that's one of them.Dress codes are there for a reason.It's not just the quality of work that will equal promotions in the workplace. Appearance's countfor a lot too. They can either make or break a career. Dressing as you would for a job interviewis unnecessary, but putting some effort into one's appearance show they care enough a careerto get ready for it. Sloppiness translates into two things effortless and uncaring. This could verywell translate into not giving a blank, whether you still have it the next day.

Yesterday I took a physics test and yes I did study 4 it but ofc once I was actually taking it I was hit by random stuff that didn't necessarily go along with the way id learned the stuff n thangs so I was like 78.9% sure I wasn't gon make it but here I am with a result of 91.67% to be very exact and I actually feel good about this so idk just wanted to say this lol it'll be aight guys beelev in yoself
