you’re so real for being a bench trio shipper. I’ve been a tubbo/tommy shipper for the past three years and I enjoy beeduo and bench duo stuff from a distance. People who like it as a work are so talented and creative with it but it’s also nice to throw some shippy stuff in there and DSMP fics are much more geared to the former. Keep following your truth

Honestly I can't claim to be a super hardcore benchtrio shipper, it was less of a "i wanna see them kiss" decision and more of a "I'm so hungry for benchtrio I could eat dirt" moment that turned into "if i skim over specific parts that bore or squick me out I can still enjoy this" but yeah it's been fun slowly letting myself read more shippy fics and not limit myself solely to the qpr or platonic tags. I definitely don't mind ppl who ship them anymore, it's just two years of reading fics in a majority platonic fandom have made me realize that what I prefer from ship fics is more funny/cute kid fics or dramatic plots with interesting dialogue rather than 3k words of overly descriptive make out sessions or cuddling or slow burn pining. It's been a process man but I'm having fun figuring it out

I will get a c!benchtrio happy ending. I will get closure for my comfort relationship. I will receive a fitting conclusion to the one story I’ve followed more than all the rest, and I will get a formal apology or at least some manner of acknowledgment from cc!beeduo in regards to how terrible their characters have been to c!tommy since the prison.

cc!Tommy will give his character a happy ending.

cc!Tommy will drag cc!Beeduo onto the server long enough to set things straight.

cc!Tubbo will fix his oc and make him the little boy I loved before the saving Michael stream again. cc!Ranboo will bring his oc back and stop fucking around with his viewers’ engament towards him.

cc!Tommy understands the importance of c!benchtrio as a relationship in his characters like just as much as he does with c!crimeboys. He will give me peace and closure and content, I will be happy, I will be at peace and will not cry myself sick whenever I think about my three little boys at night when I try to go to sleep.

The Dream SMP is my favorite piece of media and has impacted me so very strongly. That’s why I get upset when I see it treated poorly. That’s why I get angry when I see these characters be treated poorly.

I will be at peace when this is finally at its end. I will be happy. I will be happy, and I will get my c!benchtrio happy ending, even if it takes ages and my soul tries to murder me while I wait for that sweet sweet release.

Okay I've been seeing a lot of posts about tommy's recent semi-lore stream, and about bench trio and everything, and like i agree that the people claiming ranboo is replacing tommy in Tubbo's life are wrong, because the dynamics are completely different and neither of them could replace the other, not to mention tubbo can have more than one important person in his life. He can have multiple friends.

However, that being said, while i don't believe Ranboo is replacing Tommy, i do believe that tommy and tubbo have been growing apart, and I also believe that Tommy is still as ride or die for Tubbo as he's always been. And that's why it hurts, because Tubbo isn't anymore. Ranboo hasn't replaced tommy in the sense that he's taking Tommy's place, but he's started taking priority in Tubbo's life, which leaves Tubbo with less to give Tommy.

Currently, to Tubbo, Beeduo takes priority over both Benchtrio and Clingyduo, but Tommy prioritizes Tubbo and Ranboo over everything. I genuinely believe that Tommy feels stronger for Tubbo and Ranboo than they do for him- throwback to that period of time when Tubbo's relation to Tommy on the wiki was just "positive" but Tommy's relation to Tubbo was "very positive", huh?

But i think the reason for this is tommy's total lack of stability in his life, and it's not ranboo or Tubbo's responsibility to provide it for him. Like they said, they have their own things going on- but Tommy even offered to "go see their endeavors", and Ranboo turned him down. Tommy would drop anything to help them, even building his railway to appease wilbur.

So Tubbo isn't replacing tommy with ranboo at all, but that doesn't mean they're not growing apart. That doesn't mean that Tubbo doesn't care about other things more, now.

That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt to see Tommy scramble to please Wilbur (the only person who's ever unconditionally cared about tommy, even when it was in a possessive and harmful way) and expecting his friends to help him only for both of them to turn away. It hurt to hear Tubbo hesitate and then say "....he has his own thing going on, but we can still be friends", as if they haven't always been friends? Especially in contrast to the way Tommy immediately said, "Tubbo and Ranboo? They're my friends." It hurt to see Ranboo immediately drop all association to Tommy once Quackity joined vc- it's understandable, for sure, but it still hurt because I know without a shadow of a doubt that Tommy would've thrown hands for Ranboo had the situation been reversed. It really hurt to hear Ranboo leap to Tubbo's defense against Quackity but stay completely silent when Quackity turned the subject to Tommy.

Ranboo isn't replacing Tommy, but that doesn't mean Tubbo and Tommy are doing well, and it certainly doesn't mean that the imbalance in all of their views of each other doesn't hurt like hell dude

It's not tubbo or ranboo's fault- it's understandable to want to stay out of Tommy's conflicts. But literally the only reason he's causing problems right now is for Wilbur and he straight up told Beeduo that and neither of them thought it was objectionable?? Literally ALL I WANT is for somebody to be there for Tommy even when he starts doing stupid shit. And so far, not a single person has actually stuck by his side (at least, not in a healthy way- I'm looking at you, wilbur soot). It makes me so sad

do you like time travel fics? well this is peak dsmp travel fic which follows both tubbo and tommy's journey from a messed up future they had. it's both clingyduo centric while not being clingyduo centric at the same time. It's really nicely written AND has badass tubbo appreciation in it which I absolutely love.

What quest are they on? Also, did beeduo pull any matrimonial schemes during them or smth?

Of course! I’d love to talk about it! (I got a little carried away with this)

-The quest would be somewhere between The Lightning Thief, Sea of Monsters, exile, and the Disc Finale (I’ll explain)

-c!Dream is similar to Luke in PJO (minus romance subplots), as he is a jaded unclaimed demigod who secretly is working to bring back Kronos

-Tommy sees Dream as a mentor figure

-Tommy is loud, brash, and confrontational as ever, and he openly dislikes Zeus for being a shitty dad. This terrifies all the other campers, because when Zeus isn’t ignoring Tommy, he’s sending lightning bolts down to almost hit him

-When Zeus’s master bolt goes missing, all the evidence points to Tommy (Dream frames him)

-Ranboo suddenly appears back at camp with no memories as soon after the news of the missing bolt

-A prophecy is issued that calls for a son of Zeus, a child of Hades, and a satyr to retrieve the master bolt

-The three of them go to the Sea of Monsters under the assumption that Poseidon stole the bolt and is keeping it somewhere there

-So rather than underworld Lightning Thief shenanigans, we get sailing Sea of Monsters shenanigans. This gives more time for c!Ranboo to reform his relationships with Tommy and Tubbo, AND it gives us a fake marriage excuse. Stay with me

-SO at one point all three of them get captured by a cyclops that plans to eat them and Tommy’s powers aren’t working because his dad is angry with him and Ranboo doesn’t know how to use his powers properly and Tubbo is too worried for both of their safety to take on the cyclops himself (though he definitely could if he was on his own)

-The three of them put their net zero brain cells together and come up with a plan: Ranboo will marry the cyclops (he lost the Rock Paper Scissors tournament), and this is like the similar plot line in Sea of Monsters

-Tommy is kept around to officiate the wedding and Tubbo is kept around to make Ranboo’s dress and veil

-They keep trying to devise a plan to escape, but they’re all kept in separate cages and they aren’t able to talk to each other. Tubbo tries to delay the progress of the dress, but the cyclops starts threatening to eat him, so he ends up having to finish it

-They get all the way to the wedding ceremony, and Tommy is officiating. When he asks if anyone objects, Tubbo comes up with a plan

-Snippet below because it’s too clear in my mind to describe without just writing out the dialogue:

“I object!” Tubbo yells.

All eyes turn to him.

“YOU WHAT?!” The cyclops roars, making Ranboo flinch beside him.

“What are you doing?” Tommy mouths.

“I object to this marriage.” Tubbo says.

“WHY?!” The cyclops asks.

“Yes, Tubbo, why?” Tommy says.

Tubbo goes with the first excuse he can think of, “Because… Because Ranboo and I are already married!”

If sheep could gasp, Tubbo thinks that one of them would.

In the stunned silence that follows, Ranboo is the one to speak up first, “That’s… That’s right!” He says. “Tubbo and I are married. To each other.”

The cyclops immediately rounds on him, “Why did you agree to marry me if you were already married?!” He bellows.

“Well, because… because our marriage… is a… a secret.” Ranboo says. “Yeah! It’s, uh, it’s a secret marriage.”

“Why is it a secret?” The cyclops asks. His tone has quickly turned from rage to genuine curiosity.

“Well, be-because… because… uh…”Ranboo sputters, “Because…”

“Because we couldn’t tell Tommy!” Tubbo interjects.

The cyclops turns towards him again, “What? Why not?”

Tubbo shuts his eyes, “He doesn’t believe that two men can marry.” He says with a sniff. “He would never approve our love.”

Ranboo nods solemnly, “It’s true.”

“What?!” Tommy says. “I’m not- I’m not fuckin’ homophobic!”

“The boy is in denial.” Tubbo explains. “But we knew- we knew that if we ever told Tommy… he wouldn’t want to be friends with us anymore. So, we had to keep it a secret!”

“You know what, Tubbo? I think I actually will not be friends with you two anymore. I think that’s a great idea.” Tommy says in the background.

“See?” Tubbo says.

-From there, in proper comedic fashion, I think the cyclops would proceed to tell Ranboo and Tubbo that their love is beautiful and valid, and that any friend who won’t accept you for who you are is not a real friend, anyways. Then I think the cyclops would try and eat Tommy, but he would get the ability to send down a lightning strike just in time, and the three of them would escape

-Towards the end of their quest, the trio would find that the lightning bolt was not in the possession of Poseidon, but was actually in the possession of Dream

-Dream would reveal that Ranboo was the one who actually stole the master bolt for Dream (reason pending), and that he had his memories wiped in the River Styx afterwards in order to get rid of the evidence

-Tubbo and Tommy would obviously be pissed at Ranboo, and Ranboo would feel awful about himself, but they wouldn’t allow Dream to turn them against each other

-During their fight, Dream would at some point manage to hold Tubbo hostage, and he’d force Ranboo and Tommy to drop their weapons, using their respective emotional attachments to Tubbo as a reason for why attachment makes people weak, and how Kronos understands that, etc etc

-While Dream is monologuing, Ranboo would finally figure out his powers (which he had struggled with for the whole quest) in order to summon a skeleton to rip Dream’s weapon out of his hand and allow Tubbo to get away

Story with an unlikely friendship between a ghost and a medium but it's a trope reversal

So it's not the medium being the only one able to see the ghost and shit

Nah

It's the fucking world of the dead and a medium managed to kinda slip in the in-between of the world of the living and the world of the dead. Which just means they glitch between them. And when in the world of the dead, the ghosts or jus. Generally inhabitants can't perceive them. Until they stumble upon some random ass Ghost that can.

And it's pretty much just a story about the medium, who's life is very disrupted by the glitching, bothering the ghost until they agree to help. During those efforts they grow closer and eventually a big point of angst is that, yknow, when the mediums whole glitching thing gets fixed, they're not gonna be visiting the world of the dead anymore. Which means no seeing each other.

The solution for that is the ghost passing over to the world of the dead where they haunt the medium as a poltergeist

I thought of this in context of a strangers to friends to brothers au for Wilbur and Tommy where we have Wilbur as the medium. Benchtrio as a trio in the world of the undead (Tommy is a ghost, or rather a soul of a deceased human. Tubbo is either the same or a reaper. Haven't decided yet. And ranboo is some demon kinda thing.) With Beeduo going from having Tommy thirdwheel their sickeningly sweet platonic relationship to thirdwheeling Tommy's and wilburs sickeningly wholesome siblingfication. It's very awkward for them because it's really hard to communicate with Wilbur for them because they can't perceive him.

And the rest of SBI in the world of the living being a seemingly normal but quirky family. Technos getting worried about his twin brothers health when he starts just. Yknow. Kinda going... Catatonic? Is that the word? (Because when Wilbur glitches between worlds he leaves his body behind in the world of the living so. He just kinda faints for everyone else) every now and then for up to several hours. And then he starts talking about shit like ghosts. And a ghostworld. And techno just. He doesn't know how to deal with this. Phil is just very busy getting all the medical stuff for will in order and being fucking weird.

Why is he fucking weird? Because he kinda knows what's going on.

Because even in this au he fucking fucked death. That'd wilburs (and technos) mom. Wilbur just got a tiny bit too much mom in him so that'd why the shit is happening. Neither Wilbur nor techno have any powers or anything from that. It's literally just Wilbur glitching. And he doesn't even glitch well. And that's also just because the fucker fucked around with a ouija board while drunk at some stupid get together with friends. And the fucker forgot to do that closing thing with the board. The solution to the glitching is that he does the stupid closing thing. That's it.

I was immediately thinking of Crime Boys when I stared reading this (but, then again, it's either that or prime boys with me, my brain really only has 2 settings) and yeah. Love that!

Also Tommy as a poltergeist for the ending is so SO perfect! I always imagine any ghost!Tommy o be along those lines because it just fits his gremlin energy. But also I was thinking, in the ghost world things may be very different, right? So imagine Wilbur trying to figure everything out and it's like: every road is an ace-race map kinda thing. Wilbur wants to burn the ghost world to the ground within the first day because of it. To open every door is a find the buton race, the button works only once and then i changes. Just the weirdest least practical sh*t because they're all dead and kinda have to find ways to keep themselves entertained for eternity, you know?

i miss benchtrio. i miss beeduo, specifically. theyre very present but not really, theyre not really that present in each others lives anymore, at least in front of the camera. if not for misfits we wont even be able to see ranboo & tubbo together in an event, even though they dont interact. sometimes mcc as well, but they will never be in the same team anymore.

im in so much PAIN. i dont know what theyre going through, its none of my business as well, but i love them so much as a whole. i hope that im just overthinking, n theyre actually very close to each other still behind the scenes, theyre doing this just for reasons related to public opinion or something. dont tell me the truth, i dont need to know. :(

I’m at the diner countertop. It is dark and the night is dreadfully damp. The buses are all closed and my car is out of gas, and as I wait for the day to dawn and grant me the light to find my way back home, I sit here, alone and helpless, pleading ever gracefully with cc!Beeduo to give me something. Something. Something, anything at all to hold me over until sunrise. 

They’re not even sure if they work here anymore. cc!Tubbo has hung up his apron and is fucking around on his phone. cc!Ranboo puts the apron on, but it feels like it’s just a joke where my investment is a punchline. 

I just want a fucking waffle. Why would they promise me waffles if they ain’t gonna give me the damn waffles?! Why? What did I do!!
