#bee and puppycat artstyle

Tried to replicate bee and puppy cats art style but not that much,, got lazy a bit !

I was today years old when I found out Bee and Puppycat was also inspired by Revolutionary Girl Utena!

The Space Outlaw flashback shown in the pilot (released in 2013) uses the same artstyle used in a Utena box set released in 2011.

There's also a similar sequence in the anime from 97'

The flashback we see in Lazy in Space still has a similar artstyle, but it's more stylized

I had the idea the other day for a Bee and Puppycat AU and I did some screenshot re-draws for funsies!

Originals and more about the AU under the cut :)

I honestly haven’t put a lot of thought into this yet, but so far I have:

- Jesse as Bee, obviously (any Jesse, I just drew green suspenders because he was on my mind)

- Reuben as Puppycat (again, for obvious reasons)

- Lukas as Deckard (they have similar vibes to me)

- Petra as Toast, maybe? (she’s very competitive)

- Olivia as Cas (because redstone and computers)

I don’t have a lot for this yet, but I have a feeling that it’s going to keep bouncing in my head for a while, haha

I might re-draw more screenshots, those were super fun to do!

I have just watched episodes 1-10 of bee and puppycat for the first time cause I thought the artstyle looked neat when I first heard of the show a while ago and I sadly can't watch season 2 cause that is on Netflix and I can't access Netflix anymore cause they banned password sharing also I have no money as I am a child so I guess that's enough watching for today :D

The prompt was to draw a little cartoon fella and I decided to draw myself and puppycat, as well as one of my favourite musicians personas.

Bee and puppycat is the cutest, and most beautiful cartoons I have ever seen. The adorable artstyle tells dumb little stories and it's just always been a favourite of mine since the first episode came out on YouTube of the original series. I'm so happy that it was made in a show with a better company and budget.

For Gravity Falls it was a show I grew up watching as well, so I have a soft spot for it. Before Bee and Puppycat it was my top appropriate show, because it made me laugh til the end. The fact that Alex Hirsh voices Stan makes it easy for me to recognise his voice everywhere. He puts on that voice for other animated characters like a cirtain guard for the owl house. I remember watching the pilot on YouTube it's pretty neat.

The Midnight Gospel talks about all sorts of things with religion and death and meditation. The whole premice of it being a podcast that has this storyline to follow makes it entertaining. I've watched the whole season much like I have watched all the seasons of Bee and Puppycat and Gravity Falls most of the time at the end there is a song which is like comforting. And often what they talk about gets implemented into the cartoon with imagry. Which I sick and it's a nice unique way to do that kind of thing. I also really like how the main character Clancy looks. He's kinda selfish and dumb but he's cool character wise and very human.
