Bedivere is quite shy so he prefers to wait until you're both in a more intimate place (or at least he would wait until there's no one around) before he can kiss you or hug you.

He gets flustered easily, so sometimes he has to remind you to control yourself a little when you are in public, because you take every chance you get to hug him or hold his hand.

Still, he understands that your love language is physical touch and will indulge you from time to time.

If he has the opportunity to do so, he will likely take your hand to give you a kiss.

If you manage to steal a kiss from him in front of one of his fellow knights he will die from embarrassment; you know that they will tease him later.

When you are alone Bedivere lets you cuddle with him as much as you want. Your hugs are warm and comforting; each time your arms are around his waist, all his worries fade away. If you are smaller than him, he will let his chin rest on top of your head or shoulder.

His weak spot it’s his neck, so kisses on that area are 100% effective. 

He enjoys your caresses, but sometimes he prefers that you play with his hair instead. Just like with hugs, it soothes him whenever he feels your fingers gently touching his hair.

💚 Favorite Quest/Story Arc

Hmmm I feel like those are two different things? Favourite story arc would be The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnell 100%. I always describe it as a Shrek like take on Beauty and the Beast where the lady is cursed to look like a "beast/ogre" or whatever ugly names she was called in the story but is accepted and loved for who she is by the person she marries AND gets to pick what she wants to look like herself.

Favourite Quest... i have read a couple quests for sure. I do really appreciate Yvain's story (Knight with the Lion by Chrétien de Troyes) where he has to better himself to win back his wife after abandoning her while questing. But I adore the middle dutch story of Morien whose mother, a princess of the Moorish lands, was left by Anglovale, Percival's brother, before they could get married. This abandonment had consequences for Morien and his mother, getting disinherited from their lands. Thus he knights himself(!!) and goes on a quest to find his father and he meets Lancelot and Walewein (Gawain) as they're looking for Perceval. A medieval story about a black knight who gets to kick ass and deal w daddy issues, my kinda story 🫶

Headcanon that I want to share about my Fate Fiction!

Knight of the Round Table Edition!

Because it's good that my shit stays permanently on the internet for people to cringe at!

Bedivere and Elizabeth (OC) do reading exchanges. For this reason, Bedivere is now a fan of dystopian fiction.

Gawain actually knows how to cook! Still, he refuses to make mashed potatoes without using vinegar. Also, he is a vegetarian. (There is still a debate about this on the internet, read many doujin where they say that, so I'm unsure.)

Lancelot is a fond lover of good chocolate. The man likes to drink hot cocoa, better if made with a dark blend and cinnamon sticks.

Tristan has the highest alcohol resistance among his peers.

Percival, Gawain, and Lancelot are accidentally always in competition with each other.

Every 2nd Friday of the month, the Knights of the Round Table have a “Movie Night.” The ones who don't participate are Gareth and Agravain.

As a joke, they watched the trilogy of “50 Shades.” Mordred always made loud noises in some way whenever there was an erotic scene; Tristan found out he has a sensory kink; Bedivere is the only one who refused to watch it, but he did it alone in his room.

The Knights of the Round Table have chore rotations. They are really organized.

Mordred and Gawain are the messier.

Achilles and Gawain, despite having nothing in common, are good friends and enjoy each other's company.

Agravain does pottery late at night when he is undisturbed. (yes, I have room for him too)

When drunk, Bedivere becomes easily irritable and emotional.

Gawain doesn't like to hand his mantle around as much as he does.

The Knights of the Round Table are planning to spend a Summer on the snow.

When the mood is down, Gareth always tries to cheer everyone up. (I think this is more of a General Canon, but I will put it here anyway.)

No one is prepared for Roland when her magic is realized. Only Merlin, Gaius, and Lucan know and while Gaius and Lucan fear for what's to come, Merlin has this mix of pride and "what have i done" feelings.

Lucan and Dagonet are frenemies not like how Dagonet and Nathan are frenemies. Pulling pranks on Dagonet is the only way Lucan and Nathan get along despite both coming from noble families. Anyway, Lucan and Dagonet are rivals in being Bedivere's mentor/dad friend. It is a clash of parenting practises, and Bedivere basks in it.

Feirefiz is the only one to understand Bedivere's true gremlin self and is understandably impressed.

🧸 A headcanon about their childhood this one can kinda be considered as both a kay and an arthur headcanon, but i have a headcanon that arthur was always a really small kid and got picked on a lot. except he didn't really, because kay was a BIG strong kid and would chase any potential bullies off. but then immediately turns around and calls arthur short. no one can bully arthur except kay!!!!

💝 A headcanon about their love language i think kay's love language would definitely be quality time!!! kay is very much a parallel play person, he's happier doing chores and tasks in the presence of someone he cares about than he would be doing it on his own. also idk what the opposite of words of affirmation would be (words of discouragement? aksjdg) but that's him. if he makes fun of you it's because he cares about you. if he doesn't care he just won't say anything at all/ignore you

💔 An angsty headcanon i feel like kay probably saw the fall of the round table from a mile away. like.. i think he has a pretty keen eye for what's going on around him and he knows everything is going to shit but he can't say anything because his brother, who he's watching fall apart in front of him, would say it's rude to bring up. he's trying so hard to warn his brother that hey, maybe letting all these new knights to the table and just saying yes to everything is a bad thing. he didn't even get to tell arthur "i told you so".

🫂 A friendship headcanon i think kay has a very skewed view of what a friend is because of how he feels about most of the round table, and that is "someone whose presence i would be able to tolerate for a somewhat extended period of time". so like... he considers gareth a friend most definitely. i think he would consider aglovale a friend because he's very quiet and sensible, and he'd have a vitriolic friendship with dinadan. as much as he wants to fucking hate gawain he does actually enjoy his crazy adoptive nephew's company, for some reason. (bedivere doesn't count, that's his husband askjdgds)

Ritsuka becoming pals with the Revenge Realm Servants is really funny. Our Chaldean Master can just be at home telling stories about the madness that is Chaldea's roster of Servants.

And the fact that even these complete stranger Servants are confounded at what Ritsuka is telling them.

But of course. Brain rot kicks in with this dialogue -

So the headcanon no one will be able to pry from my cold dead hands is, Ritsuka is re-telling the events of Camelot and it goes like this:

"And so, our little band up against Gawain, invincible under the sun. But then, out of nowhere, another Servant clashes swords with him! It was Lucius!"

"Wait, the one-armed guy?"

"But that wasn't the name Sir Gawain said. He recognized the knight before him as Sir Bedivere - a Knight of the Round Table! And he saved us!"

And all the Revenge Realm Servants cheer like it's the most hype thing they have ever heard, and Ritsuka is so proud of their knight husband.

I'm pretty sure Ritsuka would get carried away describing all of Bedivere's heroic deeds. I can be delusional about this :^)

🫂Headcanon about friendship:

Kay is his best friend. No contest. Ride or die. From a headcanon perspective, I like to believe they've been friends since childhood, teens at the latest. Which brings me to the next one...

💔Angsty headcanon:

Bedwyr lost his hand as a child. He's always been good with numbers and as a slave was put to work handling the money for his master. One day, after the sale of a prized stallion, their tally sticks didn't align. Somehow they had come up short. Young Bedwyr counted correctly, multiple times, but alas. He couldn't prove his innocence of course. And his master wouldn't be embarrassed in front of all these people. So, off came the hand. Kay happened to see this, and after cauterizing Bedwyr's injury with his own flaming hand, "negotiated" Bedwyr's freedom. They've been inseparable ever since. Arthur has no memory of a time "before" Bedwyr. Now Bedwyr manages the royal treasury from his seat at the Round Table.

📓Headcanon about hobbies:

Bedwyr does like a good wager. Should he be doing that whilst also marshalling the jousts? Probably not. But who's gonna stop him?

😶Random!:

It's his right hand that he lost, so he has to write and fight left-handed. Bors isn't keen on that despite knowing the man has literally no other choice. Bedwyr refuses any magical or prosthetic aid for his lack of hand. It is what it is.

😇 Religious headcanon- I was actually thinking about this recently for reasons. Bedivere and his family do not strike me in any way as Catholic, or even Christian. I'm going to go ahead and say they're of a more druidic or a traditional pre-Christian Anglo-Saxon persuasion.

As an aside finding information regarding pre-Christian religious practices from that area that aren't biased as hell is like pulling teeth and if anyone has any reading/documentary recommendations please send them my way.

🫂 Friendship headcanon- Arthur is his bestie. You don't get to be butler like that if you're not. I was actually going to do some more comics with these two expanding on that relationship. Also: lifelong bromance ends with one hugging the other to death. That's good shit.

👽 Weird Quirk headcanon- Okay, so, I think it'd be cool if Griflet had some fairy weirdness about him. Not sure exactly what, maybe just a stronger connection to the wind or nature in general, maybe out-and-out magic, but I think it'd be fun! It also makes a pretty fun dynamic where the painfully responsible and (by comparison) normal Bedivere and Lucan have this deeply weird and esoteric cousin that they treat as completely ordinary. Don't even react when something magic happens. That's just cousin Griflet who receives grim portents from the other side on the breeze sometimes, no big deal.

After fixing a minor singularity, Mash, your servant and you had to wait before Rayshifting back to Chaldea. Apparently there had been some interferences that made difficult going back.

You’d been waiting for at least half an hour with no updates on the situation, so you decided to stretch your legs and go for a walk.

Mash was worried at first; it would be dangerous for you to go alone in case a monster attacked you, but you reassured her it would be fine. You wouldn’t wander too far after all.

After a couple of minutes walking, you found a small clearing in the dense forest. There were some beautiful flowers growing in the ground and you felt like taking a closer look at them. You didn’t recognize the type of flowers they were, still you thought they were really pretty. There was something about them that made the flowers look special, so you decided to pick up one. Perhaps they would be a nice detail for the servant who accompanied you in this mission.

Diarmuid

- He was a bit worried about you. You weren’t away for a long time, but in these woods you wouldn’t know when a ferocious boar monster would appear.

- He was relieved when he saw you picking up some flowers. You seemed happy surrounded by nature, the rays of the sun gently caressing your skin.

- “Hey, Diarmuid, look.” When you noticed his presence you hurried to meet him “This flower is really pretty. It somehow reminds me of you.”

- He tried to speak but found himself unable to. He just stood there as you gently tried to put the flower on his hair.

-“See? It looks really nice on you.” You were oblivious at how tense he felt by having you so close.

- Despite his nervousness he chuckled and advised you to go back were Mash was in case Chaldea solved the communication issue.

- That day when he returned to his room, Diarmuid left the flower you gave him in a small vase (and Fionn teased him a lot for it).

Bedivere

- Mash asked him to go look for you, just in case something happened; connection was reestablished and it was time to go back home.

- He found you sitting in the grass, mesmerized with something on your hands. When he called your name you made him a sign so he would come closer.

- ”Look Bedi! I found this cute little blue flowers so I decided to make this” You showed him the flower crown that you’ve been making. He thought it was adorable.

- “I was planning on giving you just one of the flowers because they reminded me of you. In the end I thought it would be better to make you something with them instead.” You admitted laughing.

- He didn’t know what to say. He wanted to thank you when you interrupted him to put the flower crown on his head. It turned out to be smaller than you expected.

- You teased him a little, saying he looked really cute with it. Then you winked at him and that was what turned him into a blushing mess.

- Luckily for him you didn’t notice because if you did he would probably die from embarrassment.

Arjuna

- He was already following you after you announced you were leaving. It was not that he didn’t trust you, he knew you wouldn’t get into trouble, but he wanted to make sure no monsters were nearby.

- After making sure there weren’t any enemies, he approached you. You seemed to be occupied inspecting some wild flowers. Did they catch your attention because of something special?

- Sometimes he found your behavior peculiar, he couldn’t understand what was going through your mind.

- Especially he didn’t understand why you liked him to accompany you so often in your missions. He thought it was nice that you cared about him, even if he couldn’t express it out loud.

- “Master, perhaps we should get going.” Before leaving you took one of the flowers, one you were looking at with a particular interest.

- Once you went back to Chaldea you gave the flower to Arjuna, claiming it was a small token of affection. You didn’t want to give it to him earlier because you didn’t have one for Mash.

- Arjuna took the flower gently on his hands with a faint smile on his lips. He would make sure to treasure your gift.

Arthurian Headcanon- I always saw Kay as Autistic, like especially the fire powers he has in Culhwch and Olwen, his father has a cold heart but Kay is just brimming with emotion constantly, to the point where his hands are almost constantly on fire and like him saying the "wrong" things all the time and getting so angry he literally wont talk to anyone again... he's actually quite similar to Lancelot in that regard hahaha Oh I have a bonus thought

I always drew Kay with little gloves so no one can see his current "emotion", unless he's around Bedivere. He's basically the only one who he holds hands with and knows he can trust that the fire he holds wont hurt him. And Bedivere gets to know exactly how he feeling.

Choose a Pellinore spawn- Percival. Formed a grudge with Mordred cause a clown convinced him he talked smack about him. For context um Percival hasn't even met Mordred until he slapped him down from his horse in a tournament along with Gareth whose trying to fight with Mordred. Love that lil guy.

Lancer Arthur is a fun AU for me because he has such a vastly different and later start than other Arthurs. He didn't draw Caliburn from the stone until he was an adult and even then only to prove to Merlin that he was wrong about his identity (arthur never lived that down later). And for him King Lot is still alive and both Lot and Morgan are two of his closest allies since things are going absolutely right to shit thanks to Uther living longer and Vortigern doing his Vortigerny thing.

Plus there's the whole mess of Lancer Arthur finding Rhongomyniad before Excalibur, so while he loves Excalibur dearly his primary weapon is Rhongomyniad. It's rare that he would draw Excalibur from its sheathe in battle and he always carried Rhongo around with him too. And that did have an affect on his physical state with Excalibur halting his aging as normal but Rhongomyniad's divinity leeched into Arthur, making his eyes change and increasing his physical strength and stamina.

I've had this headcanon for a while that Yu Meiren and Bedivere might have met during that window of time when bedi was immortal. So that's my prompt! It could be them meeting, them befriending each other, them recognizeing each other in chaldea, anything you want! I just want some of my crack ship

Bedivere headcanons (self-indulgent)

   -Bedivere was never in a relationship during the lifespan of Camelot because his dedication was to Artoria before everybody else.  But in the 1,500 years after that he’s been married 4 or 5 times, and had plenty of other intimate relationships.  Every time he loses someone to time he tells himself he’ll never get into a relationship again, but it’s just his nature to fall in love again if he stays too long in one place.  He’s the father of quite a few children from those relationships as well.

     -The first woman Bedivere married was a fraternal twin, and he loved both her and her brother.  It was still in Britain, so it’s possible their descendants are still out there, but he left Britain the last time such a long time ago he wouldn’t know where to look now.

    -He’s actually a lot fonder of Merlin than the rest of the round table.  They never interacted much during Camelot, but after Bedivere became immortal they gained a sort of mutual understanding that would be impossible for any other member of the Round Table.  Merlin checks in on him every few decades during his journey.

    -In the couple hundred years before Camelot 2, Bedivere actually spends them in the middle east rather than staying in Europe.  The Islamic Golden Age is going on and it’s a lot more pleasant there.  On his own abilities, he can read Arabic much better than Old English, and he would struggle to read modern English at all.

   -He’s passionate about cooking, though it’s not always easy for the uninitiated to eat what he makes because he’s very omnivorous.  He’ll try anything once, and he’s learned to like all sorts of weird foods.  Gazer eye is just the tip of the iceberg.

   -During his time looking for Artoria and Rhongomyniad, he’s been pretty much everywhere in Eurasia, though he’s spent more time in some places than others.

    -He does most things left-handed because Airgetlam does fine motor functions badly, though he was right-handed at birth.  After 1,500 it’s pretty much impossible for anyone besides the original Round Table to tell he’s not naturally left-handed.

   -The Round Table in Chaldea find him off-putting.  The Bedivere they know was mild, mediocre at fighting, and insecure, the Bedivere that exists now is none of that.  He’ll go along with them, but he doesn’t need their approval anymore.  They can sense he’s seen all sorts of things he’s not telling about, and there’s just something so unfathomably old about him.  He wears the role of “Bedivere” they expect from him like an ill-fitting suit.  Naturally, he gets along better with prototype Arthur in some ways, who’s a similar outsider.

This is a really specific headcanon, but since Bedivere lived for so long I like to think that they were buds and Billy was the one to teach Bedi how to use firearms. It was super long ago so Bedi forgot about it but when he first get to Chaldea Billy goes YOU!! WHY ARE YOU IN FULL ARMOR????? YOu'RE A KNIGHT???

Thank you Halloween event for more Mordred and Bedivere buddy moments. I honestly squeed seeing them, my two most favorite Knights of the Round Table! (Gareth as well, but she's not here in the event sadly)

I just find it cute that Bedivere and Mordred seem to get along pretty well even though their personalities are the complete opposite. They also chat like this in Tristan's Interlude!...and just like in Tristan's Interlude, they dunk on the poor guy, lol. The "tired Butler Bedivere" expression is gold though.

Also, Bedi, you don't get to comment on how Mordred doesn't like to sleep, I headcanon you're an overworker yourself who wouldn't sleep unless necessary.
