An attempt to explore Bill's approach to life and Jim's split loyalties between the countr(ies) he loves and the man he's in love with. Heavily coloured by conversations with my fiancé, who spent his childhood in Communist Czechoslovakia, and his visceral reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. In spite of the heavy background themes quite romantic and even slightly funny imo)

1 can't believe i'm done with the toughest of my exams. only one left and i do not worry about it at all

2 it's been a while since i gave myself some time to read calmly and really immerse myself in a book and it feels good to finally get to do so

3 cocoa goes very well with becherovka

Mix 2-3 scoops (I use a 1/2 tbsp measure usually) hot chocolate mix (the tim Hortons one is actually really fucking good somehow, considering everything else they make is just a step up from garbage), one scoop of espresso powder, mix together with about 1/3 mug of milk/cream of your choice (use a whisk or fork to blend it together, and break up any clumps), fill rest of mug with boiling water and stir.

If you have it, a glug of Becherovka (spice-forward liqueur) is very nice, but a bit of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice mixed in is also good if you don't like booze

Chai tea bag + lil but of brown sugar + apple cider packet + 16 oz. mug of hot but not quite boiling water

it will not Fix You but like. maybe. maybe.
