When you look at him, he's not the same Mammon that he used to be; is he kinda cursed? -His eyes are narrowed and his face is serious. When he speaks, he's too much Daddy!! Hi, at first I want to thank you! I absolutely adore this series and can’t get enough of it, constantly checking if there’s smth new ❤️🥺

So here’s my a bit angst headcanon about Logan having one of his self doubt episodes. We all know that he’s pretty much confident, sometimes even a bit cocky but I always have in mind that he has some times (probably late at night when he is all alone with his head) that everything bad catches to him. Like he remembers all the bad stuff he did, that in fact he’s just a weapon made for hurting people and how he should be alone because of it all (poor baby 🥺). It doesn’t help that he’s in XIX and has this mindset that he must be strong all the time, without any problems or doubts (of course he’s only hard on himself, he’s definitely not thinking the same stuff about Theo, Sunshine or any other students. she just has a lot of unresolved trauma and he was taught not to be a burden; that he has to deal with it on his own).

So one night he has another episode of those thoughts, doubting if he deserves the domestic and peaceful life with Sunshine, if he should be in Theo’s life and all of that crap.

The thing is that it’s a middle of the night, he’s laying in his room, Sunshine next to him (they had a free weekend cuz Theo is on some kind of school trip with Scott and Ororo), when he was caught still awake by her:

S: Logan…. What’s wrong?

She would be so confused and worried why he’s not sleeping.

L: Nothing princess. Go to sleep.

He would try to brush her off, not letting himself open up to her, because obviously he doesn’t deserve it and should simply get himself together (this dumb adorable man… 🙄😅)

But then Sunshine would reach him, make him look at her and talk him through it all, in the end making him confess about everything. He would even let a single tear fall down while thinking about all the good things in his life that he “doesn’t deserve” and apologized for it immediately, but her only reaction would be hugging him and telling him how silly he’s now for apologizing for being a human and having emotions. She talks with him about his feelings and emotions (probably Sunshine would be a first person that ever have this convo with him, such a kind and loving person she is) and how he shouldn’t be afraid of not being always strong and full macho mode with her. How she simply adores and feels even closer in those moments.

In the end she makes him promise that he will be open more about himself and talks to her about his insecurities when they bother him. He cuddles into her and in that moment he falls even harder for her, just because he finally feels comfortable and has a peace of mind that he hadn’t felt in years.

Ps: I know it’s all sappy but I feel like a lot of people overlook Logan’s self hatred and that in the end he’s just a human as everyone else. Soft and vulnerable Logan who low his guards and feels safe with admitting that he’s not in fact okay has a special place in my heart 🥹

James

What did James think / does James think of John?

I think James thought of John as an inspiration. It was like, James could easily relate to John, and he thought that he was a very brave person. There is a weird part here, because it talks about a deception…it was like, something made James think that probably that wasn’t very true. It was a long process, but he “accepted” this new insight on John, and even felt very satisfied of having that new information. It was like he “gained” some power accepting it and knowing it. But that was on the surface. He really would’ve like to think differently, but it was what it was, he had to let go that. So, after having this new information, he kept going and tried to have a positive opinion, and would tell you positive things about him, but deep down he knew it wasn’t entirely like that.

Heather

What did Heather think/ does think of John?

I think from the beginning Heather didn’t know what to think about John. It was like…it was very difficult to know him, who was really him. She realised later that he was a very important person, the one that settled the tone in the environment. She liked to be around him, but it was like she wasn’t very sure if he felt the same about her. She tried to do her best to be noticed by John, but suddenly that had to stop. They weren’t more opportunities for this to happen, and that was very hard for Heather. I think she even blamed Paul for this, but she later understood that even when she would like to talk to John again, it would be difficult for it to happen. And here I don’t have more cards 🥲.

Stella

What did Stella think/ does think about John?

I think at the beginning Stella tried to analyse all the elements that she knew about John and concluded that he was a very enthusiastic, passionate, positive person, but terrible with business. If it wasn’t for that, she would have a 100% good opinion of him.

But it was like to her was presented another opinion/idea of John, so it was like the image that she had of John tear into pieces, and she was like “why do I know this?, what can I do with this?”

The thing is, she really didn’t like this new piece of information. She like…resisted it. But also she knew there was nothing to do about it, so she tried to look at it with impartial lenses. I think when she had her head cleared, she had more empathy for John and thought about how brave he was, even when this new information would make her feel bad from time to time. I don’t have more cards here 😔.

Mary

What did Mary think/ does think about John?

I think Mary thought that actually John was a very bad person. Like really, really bad. She also thought he was cold. Serious. And she really wouldn’t like to have him around. It was like everytime Paul would be with him, it would be horrible, John would not be an honest person in Mary’s eyes. She also thought that all the promises that John would do were fake and it was like it wasn’t worth it.

The cards are also showing me a gap of time, it seems to me that this could be about the JP 1980 reunion, because it is showed one person making an offer to other person. The thing is, Mary thought John was acting like a cunt and couldn’t see the great chance that was before his eyes. I think Mary in one side wanted for this to have a good conclusion but she didn’t trust very much in John’s reaction. And…I don’t have more cards 🫥.

B (as I don’t know their correct pronouns or name, I will call them “B”).

What did B think/ does think about John?

I think in the beginning B didn’t think very much of the significance that John had to Paul. It was like, ok, John Lennon is this very much important person. A person that was at times painfully honest, a realist, and for better or worse, a person that will always be relevant to us. I think in some point B perceived that John wasn’t a very good friend to Paul. It was like Paul did “more” for John than John for Paul. And that wasn’t very good to feel, wasn’t very fair. But it wasn’t like it was that deep for B. B knows that John made Paul happy.

What did James think/ does think of the relationship between John and Paul?

I think James thought that this relationship was almost a threat to his parent’s relationship. But also, it was a very difficult relationship, that needed a lot to be work on. The thing is, James thought that they would talk a lot about things but would never do anything about it. James thought that probably they just needed to relax and enjoy the moments they would have, that was the only way for this to work, but it was like, for him, they always regretted of this. It was like there were many rules, many ways of doing something, but they didn’t! So it was like for him they were even lazy. It was all talk and ideas but never something tangible.

Ps. Not very “romantic” clues here. But it brought my attention the way he thought this relationship could damage his parent’s relationship 🙃.

Heather

What did Heather think/ does think about John and Paul’s relationship?

I think for Heather was very sudden the end of this relationship. It was like one day one of the parts decided to act like a cunt and would be very inflexible. It was like all the dreams, the loyalty, the truth were put into the trash and now there was this new way on seeing this relationship. It seems to me that Linda told Heather that this was a very delicate subject, so you had to be “careful” if you ever ask about it. It was like a “chosen” truth was decided and they had to keep going with that. Heather knew that probably there were more things to know, but decided to not talk more about it since it was a sensible topic.

Stella

What did Stella think/ does think of the relationship between John and Paul?

I think at the beginning she thought that this was a very good relationship when it comes to creativity, confidence and enthusiasm, but it ended because of their shady surroundings. It seems that for Stella this was a painful ending for her dad.

The thing is, Stella knew that the affection still remained, because she would, for example, see how happy Paul would be when he had a phone call. So that triggered for her a want to know more about this relationship. And she would start asking about John. The thing is, it was like a “forbidden” topic. When she asked about John, the answer that she would get would be…like “twisted”? Like you know exactly that they don’t want to answer you at all, but they are answering you because they love you. So she made this correlation between “the topic” and her family. It was like it would be “dangerous” to ask this again because it would damage the family.

Because of this weird reaction to her question, Stella started to wonder what was about John that it would trigger this kind of answer. What really happened between her dad and John. She really wanted to know, but it was like if she ever tried to ask Paul about this, Paul would not give an honest answer. And I don’t have more cards.

Mary

What did Mary think/ does think of the relationship between John and Paul?

I think to Mary at the beginning it was presented an idea of this relationship. Like probably this was a very lovely and nurturing relationship.

The thing is, she wasn’t very sure about it. It was like, during this time, for her, John was a very dishonest person. She even thought that John was very superficial.

She didn’t understand how her father would still have John in a higher place if he was like that. For her, this relationship couldn’t be deep.

I think after some time she tried to change her opinion about this relationship. But it was very hard to do so. It was like for her, what she thought were FACTS. But she could see (even if it didn’t “fit” with her previous thoughts) that they would actually could be very affectionate with each other. So she kept that also in her narrative. And I don’t have more cards 🫠.

B

What did B think/ does think about the relationship between John and Paul?

I think B is/was tired of hearing this story 🤣. It was like they had heard many times about this friend that Paul had and it’s like…NOT AGAIN 😭. But they had been very patient actually, and had heard every single word of this story. This story has been presented as very happy. Almost too perfect for B’s taste. Even when they would doubt about it, I don’t think it is something that they have thought much of. For they, in general, it seems that it was a good relationship. But if they ever have asked about this, the answer would be like…very dry and to the point.

Julian

What did Julian think/ does think about Paul?

I think for Julian at the beginning it was difficult to have an image of Paul. It was like Paul would be this being that appeared and disappeared. It was like it was one person, and then, another very different. So he didn’t know what to say about him. I think it had to pass a long time until he asked/talk about him. This was triggered by John leaving his side. That wasn’t obviously a good moment for Julian, but that was when Paul seem more present in this reading. It is like Paul became this very nurturing figure, a person that seem very honest in his approach, trying to make the most for his family. I think since that moment Paul became this sort of authority figure for Julian. It was like Paul would definitely be honest and give him some sort of stability. So, for Julian, Paul was a very positive influence to have around. The thing is, for Julian having these thoughts wasn’t very correct. It was like there was a fight between the good that he felt for Paul’s actions, versus the guilt that he would felt about that. It was like almost Paul could be his father…but he isn’t.

Julian also would realise that this wasn’t a thing that John would enjoy, so Julian tried to have some distance with Paul - or tried to be very respectful of him (not “crossing” the line).

I think Julian really really respect Paul. Like if somebody would talk trash about Paul, Julian would immediately correct them. And I don’t have more cards 🫠🥂.

Sean

What did Sean think/ does think about Paul?

I think at the beginning Sean thought that Paul was this very easygoing, nurturing and colourful personality. Kind of silly sometimes. It was like Sean was fascinated, wanted to study him (🤣).

In some part of the timeline, it is showed that Paul made an offer to Sean, an offer that he could not (and didn’t want to!) decline. It was perfect! But the thing is, Sean didn’t know that this offer had a double intention.

Sean didn’t like to see that the relationship between Paul and his mother wasn’t very good. So Sean thought that actually his job was to soothe this relationship.

I think if we have ever seen interactions between Paul and Yoko, it had been all thanks to Sean. Sean had planned very well how to make this work, trying the best, knowing the past it’s still very present for them.

I think he would like to know more clearly what had happened, and even probably had asked about this, but it seems to me that Paul never had answered in the way that Sean would’ve liked.

For that reason, for Sean, it is like Paul doesn’t trust him. It is like this relationship isn’t balanced at all.

Paul could be nice and all, but he is still like that uncle that thinks you are useless because you are just a couple of years younger. He really doesn’t like to feel that Paul doesn’t trust him. He really would like to do more and Paul doesn’t let him.

Julian

What did Julian think/ does think about the relationship between John and Paul?

I think for Julian in the beginning this relationship was for convenience. Work-related relationship, nothing out of the ordinary. It had to pass a long time before he changed his attitude towards this relationship. But it was because it started to bother him. It was…how they were (I know we’ve read a lot about these cunts finishing each other sentences and stuff like that 🤣 like the insane stuff). It was like weird, you know? Why are they like that? It seems to me that Julian or saw something - heard something or just straight up believe that something between them happened…or the relationship was very very strong, like a marriage. But I can see him having this very firm opinion about it. And obviously that wasn’t very nice to think. It was like very evident and tangible. It was there.

He tried to think of this as a pure thing, and tried to understand that together, they were happy. It obviously wasn’t very easy, probably sometimes he would be rude to them or one of them, just because this could be uncomfortable at times. He also was sad because he could see his mother being a third person in this dynamic, and vice-versa, Paul could be a third presence lingering between his parents. And here, I don’t have more cards.

Sean

What did Sean think/ does think about the relationship between John and Paul?

I think Sean has always been fascinated by this relationship. He always has been analysing it. At the beginning, he thought that this relationship was very dynamic and efficient, but it seems that their egos were the problem, so they decided to ended it because it wouldn’t lend them anywhere. Sean thinks that this was the best move they could do.

I think Sean thinks that this relationship could work if they communicated better, if they made the actual effort to talk, this relationship would’ve been better. It seems to me that later on the timeline Sean realised that there were people spreading rumours and doing shady shit around them, so that made everything more difficult. Also, Sean later realised how much pain they felt when this happened. And when he understood that, he started to ask questions. He wanted to know more. I think the people that he reached out to, didn’t answer honestly or didn’t want to answer at all, it was like he could perceive that he would not get anything from them. So he tried to move on and just have a “normal” view about this. But the thing is, Sean still wonders what was the “actual” problem. And every source that he reaches, reacts in the same way. And…I don’t have more cards 🤣😭.

Now I can understand why it seems that Sean and James have a good relationship 🤣. They both think their parents were lazy hahaha 😭😭😭.

first off I loved how you explained the whisperer and how it needed a emotional connection point so that the messengers can trust the machine and in turn be under curtains control,,,I’m not sure if I somehow completely missed that in the show but either way reading your explanation finally made it click in my brain it was just really well done!

oh holy fuck finally i'm out of fucking purgatory. needed an emoji's touch I guess. anyway I hit that fucking button so many fucking times but it started glitching out a bunch then suddenly said I hit the limit but didn't even COUNT them so I started doing it again but it did the SAME THING and I didn't manage to catch a screenshot other than here, where it wasn't even nearly as big as the total

but uhhhh even though I can't provide proof I'm uhhh the winner and please believe me because it glitched out so bad that for a while I legitimately couldn't type out anything or comment on any posts 🫥 I got WELL over 5000, i'd say. possibly even up to 7000 or more but I wouldnt' know because it kept glitching the fuck out. this is a really great activity for someone who is prone to carpal tunnel 100% haha.
