To Malleus Draconia, you are as beautiful as a gargoyle in his eyes.
To anyone who knew him, that was one of the highest praises he could give.
You were protective of your domain. Ever faithful and always watching over those you cared about.
Some might mistake you as demure in the beginning, but when the time came, you would not stand to the side.
What could a magic-less student do? Some would say.
But what have you not done? You have done more than even those with magic could accomplish.
Saving lives and the world.
Though some would never believe this to be true.
It was you who was his first friend and then something more.
With time, as stones do, you too will change.
Like cracks worn through weather and waned, you would age.
Wrinkles and laugh lines formed. Body changed. Never again as you would be in your prime.
Yet you would always look beautiful in his eyes.
Time would take you. Crumbling away as gravel from stone. Bit by bit.
But he will always remember.
His love for you eternal.

A few things we learn about Malleus in Platinum Jacket:
He has had many, many tutors over the years who were brought from all over so he would receive only the finest education. He's a genius however, and whatever they taught him he could do better. He would get angry because he thought they were teaching him basics because they were looking down on him and would throw tantrums so terrible he would accidentally raze his grandma's garden with forest fires. Each and every one of his tutors end up packing their bags and resigning in fear of him. 😭 He'd get severely scolded by Lilia because of this.
Deuce comments that while Hades looks terrifying, his minions look goofy in comparison. Malleus tells him to never judge people based on appearances, as they'd never have been painted if they weren't competent. He also likens these minions to his bodyguards and shares how proud he'd be if they were to be lauded by the world and the succeeding generations in the future. (PROUD BIG BRO MOMENT)
He confirms that Briar Kingdom royalty choose their retainers at a certain age, which we can alreaddy conclude by the way he employed his goofy teenage knights and his mom chose the most radical/problematic generals back then.
He doesn't appreciate the servants in his castle waiting on him hand and foot. It's protocol so he can hardly do anything about it, but he was relieved when he enrolled at Night Raven and had to do everything himself.
Lilia instilled in him from a very young age that a person is nothing if they can't properly take care of themselves. He couldn't do this in the castle though, so he instead reads plenty of books on how to do household chores and whatnot. He's delighted to be able to put this knowledge to practical use at NRC.
He does mundane things like shopping and laundry by himself, until Sebek enrolled and tries to steal all his tasks lol. Although he's visibly disappointed, he lets Sebek do what he wants.
He actually knows how to use the washing machine and dryer but only after so many tries and difficulties.
He once washed his clothes in the kitchen sink and got caught doing it. His dormmates offered to do it instead (because he's their god lmao) but he refused because as he said, he likes to exert his own effort for things.
He is a good art critique and appreciates all kinds of art, though his favorite are sculptures. He likes to see the wears and tears of things over the years. He likes to see proof that things lived their lives (even inanimate things!), and that changes and ageing are beautiful.
He once again repeats that he loves gargoyles.
Though he adores the thought of being happy amongst others, he hates it when people are visibly happy and he isn't.

Rsa vs Nrc
Riddle vs Alex ( twst Alice Leddle )
Crewel daughter and Riddle are together in town and talking about something they both can relate, as in art and history and Crewel stay closed to Riddle
Malleus + Disomia vs Price Phillips ( twst of that price from sleeping beauty)
Crewel daughter invited Malleus and his friends/bodyguards as she needs help as she have a client of a foreign land to asked to restore agroot ( decorative gargoyle) and needed his help on stone materials that are uncommonly used and she feels very uncomfortable around the human prince for obvious reasons
Idia vs Heracles ( twst of Heracles)
Crewel daughter and Idia are getting some new video games to play together ( legs say Crewle daughter is a secretly a gamer and otaku because y not? ) And she is off putting with Idia cousin and prefer to hangout with the recluse as he's more interesting to be around
Tumblr media
RSA vs NRC w/ Crewel Daughter | Yandere Twisted Wonderland
Tumblr media
Riddle Rosehearts vs Alix Lidwelle
“As the rules state: on the designated day we shall be in attendance of the latest additions of Art in all of Twisted Wonderland.”
“And as the rules state: on the designated day we will devote are time to one another and our enjoyment to Art!”
This is the closest Riddle equates to being a fan of anything
Its one thing to have a textbook based knowledge on images
Than to be with (Y/n) Crewel as she tilts her head at world renowned paintings
“Based.”
“Based? Why?”
“I don’t like the vibe I’m getting.”
There was nothing he loved more than looking at art with you
So much so that he even made it a rule that you two travel to different art museums together
If anything this was his day
That is until he sealed the deal…but until then this a thing
Our thing
Now its almost ruined when the blonde comes skipping in you two’s direction
“What’ya guys doing?”
He can explain or rather you can since the student isn’t even looking at him to answer
“We are carrying out a tradition that we have done for years.”
“Tradition? That sounds..kindof boring? But you can join me for some tea if you want a break at least.”
“Tea but it isn’t even ti-”
“Come on (Y/n)!! Besides why would you want to follow the rules on a lovely day like this?”
HOW DARE HE!?
If his respect for the arts and your non reaction he would have lit the blonde on fire
Better yet behead that arrogant, stupid, idiotic–
“No. I enjoy traditions and its a shame you don’t seem to respect that.”
“W-what?!”
“Come on Riddle we have seven hours left on our ticket. Let’s not waste anymore time.”
“I agree.”
Riddle delights in the red that over takes Alix’s cheeks
And the stomping feet as he prepares to throw a tantrum
The prefect sticks a tongue out from behind your back
Smirking as he offers his arm
“Shall we commence on our adventure on the designated day?”
“As the rules state it, we shall.”
Tumblr media
Malleus Draconia vs Prince Paul w/ Restoration Crewel Daughter Reader
You are quieter soul
Opting to work in the silence as you restore and refurbish antiques
That’s probably why you get nervous about accepting a job at the Royal Sword Academy
So you bring support
And who better than the one fae who enjoys gargoyles and you+
So you’ll invite him with you and he’s glowing with happiness
An invitation!
From his beloved no less
You selfishly are quite grateful that he’s a people deterrent
Able to work on your work in peace
That is until Paul comes
“The sound of such lovely sounds!”
“W-what?”
“Ah, and a beauty is the maker! You’ve entranced me with your sounds–”
“Sir, I don’t really–”
“But alas I have yet to introduce myself! Woe is me! The me being Paul Phillip, it has been to long since I–”
“Oh and your just going to keep talking, great.”
But leave it to your resident guard dragon to swoop in and save you
“Ah the Prince of Briar Valley what a surprise to see you here!”
“My mate…friend is uncomfortable with your presence.”
“But she hasn’t-”
“Go now.”
Be sure to convince him not to go full dragon on him
Smile and thank him
And he’s happy
Gargoyles, (Y/n), crushing his rivals, and courting (Y/n)
Its all the great and good times
Now you know you can trust him to protect you
Lilia says that will be enough to proves you
Aww and he was looking forward to deliver a blooody head
Tumblr media
Idia Shroud vs Huckman
You’re no gamer
But your naturally skilled at everything you touch
A perfect accessory to Idia’s high-level for multikills
“You have three hours to beat the level, Idia don’t waste it shuddering in the corner.”
“Y-Y-YES MISTRESS!”
Once he gets in his groove your plowing through
And since your actually lasor focused on the game
You don’t notice the way he focuses on your features
Just inches away the lips he’d dreamed of being graced with touch at the very least was so close
If he could just pretend to–
SLAM
“Whoops sorry cousin about your door.”
“Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!”
“Quiet! I’m nearly there!”
He’ll play possum as his cousin insistently shakes him
“Hey i know your not actually dead. Idia? Idia?”
Its you that intervenes making his heart go: Doki doki!
“Retriever boy leave for now I’ll deal with you later. I need him in peak condition for the next hour I’ve granted him.”
He snaps to your side immediately
Keeping his eyes glued to the screen as his cousin let’s himself out
"T-thanks!"
Now which tech-terror will he send to make sure ‘later’ never happens

First Meet
malleus draconia x reader
reader is not yuu and is placed in pomefiore
summary: you’re a new student at NRC who caught the attention of malleus draconia, and he makes it his mission to recruit you for his club and get to know you.
p.s this is a repost of an older fic I wrote and then deleted, in case it seems familiar to anyone. The structuring may be different, though.
—————————————
The hustle and bustle in and around the hallways of NRC was something you’d have to grow used to, being a new student here was exciting, and also the cause of a little nervousness. It was reminiscent of your first day at school. It was of little surprise to you when you were initially placed in pomefiore, despite it seeming that many of the students there were carbon copies of each other and that you didn’t perfectly fit the mould, you appreciated beauty and perfection.
No longer feeling like a deer in headlights, now that your first couple of days had past, you felt it necessary to go for a wander, and explore the school you were destined to spend the next four years in. It was a spectacle to behold, the school was made in resemblance of the finest castles and littered with intricacies despite its large size. At certain points and corners of the school, you could even observe many different gargoyles and grotesques and even though you may not have not known a lot about them or the differences, they caught the interest of your artistic eye.
After nightfall, you headed out with a canvas in tow. Partly (mostly) because you didn’t want to appear strange by painting a picture behind the school, during the middle of the day, but there was also a nice serenity that accompanied the quiet of the night and the dark, enthralling sky, lit with stars.
Malleus was out on one his daily, late-night escapades, and this time saw an unfamiliar person en route. Usually, this would be something to ignore, but this time it was a little different. They were quite studiously examining a gargoyle, and eloquently relaying it’s features onto a canvas.
Perhaps clouded in a moment of hope, the fae forewent any thoughts that the person may not have any personal interest in gargoyles, but rather just the art that they were to produce, instead, he set his sights on recruiting them as a member of his club.
After roughly an hour and a half had passed since you’d initially went out, you decided it was time to pack up and go back to pomefiore. You opened the door to your room quietly, careful not to wake any of your other roommates up, and went to sleep - completely unaware of who you’ve recently intrigued.
Morning arrived, and the sunlight seeped through the windows, letting you know it was time to wake. After letting your eyes adjust to the light, you got up and readied yourself for the day. There was of course still a hint of mysticism that accompanied attending NRC, but there was also a newly found comfort in the normalcy you’d just attained.
Having finished a fair share of your classes for the day without any major difficulty, your next stop was to the cafeteria for lunch. There were always a surprising amount of options available, and you were in the middle of deciding which one to pick, when something - or rather someone would happen to snap your newfound normalcy right in half.
Wait, what was happening right now? THE Malleus Draconia had waltzed up to you and started talking out of nowhere? Well, this was unexpected. You looked around to make sure he was definitely talking to you, but with how he was staring right at you and how everyone else was occupied with their own business, he was definitely talking to you.
“And I do believe that you would make a good member of the Gargoyle Study Club, if you would like to join.”
Oh, oops. You hadn’t really listened to most of what he’d said, but why was he wanting you to join a study club for gargoyles? Was that even a thing? You looked up at him, only to notice the seriousness on his face. It seemed that this was something he truly cares about, and honestly despite the randomness of it all, you couldn’t help but find it a little cute. Not wanting the situation to turn awkward and not knowing what else to say, you plastered a dorky smile on your face and said “Sure, I can do that!”
His eyes started to sparkle like a child on Christmas at your response, before he nodded and walked away again. This was actually a pretty good thing, in all honesty! With how exclusive and secluded this school is, you didn’t have any previous connections or friendships with anyone around, and joining a club would be a great way to solve the issue.
There was one small problem though, you couldn’t recall Malleus giving any details about when or where the club was. You’d just have to find out on your own, after you’ve eaten your lunch, that was.
The day had ended and ultimately you’d obtained no new information about said club, it seemed like most people didn’t even know that there was a gargoyle study club. Could this have just been an annoying prank?
Maybe, but he did seem quite serious… it was a good thing you’d made a mental note of the green band around his arm when he’d originally started talking to you. He was a diasomnia student, and tomorrow was a Saturday. That was your mind made up, you’d just have to ask Malleus for details about the club yourself.
Once again, daytime struck and you got ready, this time heading for diasomnia, instead of the main building of NRC. When you arrived, you noticed that their dormitory was also quite fantastical, it was however quite different from the interior of pomefiore.
Now that you were here, you felt like a fish out of water, and you also couldn’t be sure if malleus would even be here or where he would be, but it’s not like you’d be here for long anyways. Your eyes landed on a tall boy, that stood out due to his light green hair that was slicked back. Might as well ask him, right?
Hesitantly you walked up to him and greeted him to catch his attention. As if he could immediately tell you weren’t a student of his dorm, he gazed at you with a look of scrutiny. …aha, that was off-putting but you’d already started talking to him, might as well finish it, right? “Hi, do you know where I can find malleus, or if he’s even here?” Seemingly upon hearing the fae’s name, the green-haired boy went off on a tangent. Switching between droning on about how perfect malleus is and how a ‘mere human’ shouldn’t even think of interacting with him. It was as if he was having an argument with himself, and if his boisterous shouting wasn’t directed towards you, would’ve been quite funny.
Upon hearing the commotion, another boy you hadn’t seen before decided to make an appearance. He asked you why you were looking for their dorm leader, but not before scolding the other boy for making a commotion before even hearing you out. You explained that you were looking for him to ask for details about the club he’d invited to you, much to the surprise of the two infront of you.
The second boy simply let out a chuckle, “I think our Malleus is finally making friends! You’ll be able to find him in the library.” You nodded and thanked the boy before leaving, diasomnia having certainly left a unique impression on you. After arriving at the library, it didn’t take long to find the man you’d been looking for. He was sitting in the library, focused on reading a cook-book. He looked quite elegant and paired with his focus and not wanting to disrupt his reading, you were slightly apprehensive about approaching him.
Luckily or unluckily, you didn’t have to, because he picked up on your absentminded staring, and approached you himself. “Did you need something, Y/N?”
“Oh, yeah! It’s about that club you mentioned, I wasn’t too sure about when or where it was, or even if I needed to officially sign up, I was wondering if you could tell me about it?”
Malleus looked contemplative for a second before speaking, “Yes, it seems that I’ve neglected to properly inform you.” Malleus continued, giving you the details on the club, and to your surprise it seemed that the club was in fact, a real thing. Solving the mystery of the gargoyle club let you enjoy the rest of your weekend, all the way up until Monday.
Once again, it was lunch, and this time you were going to spend it with malleus whilst studying gargoyles. You walked out to the front of the school, spotted malleus, and said hello. You were however, wondering where everyone else was. When you asked, malleus kept up a neutral facade, but felt slightly defeated in having to say, “regrettably we are the only two current members”
Oh, well I guess that explains why barely anyone knew about the club. It seemed kind of sad though, being the only one fascinated enough with gargoyles and running a club all by himself, wasn’t he lonely?
No matter, the two of you would just have to make the most of it! Malleus showed you many different gargoyles around the school, it was nice for you, getting to discover a little more of NRC, though Malleus was also a little surprised by how inquisitive you were - his assumption that you were also a gargoyle enthusiast seems to have been incorrect.
Regardless, he enjoyed it, your lack of knowledge surrounding the subject allowed him to discuss and explain his passion to another person who was willing to listen. To you, it was quite endearing how someone regarded as a person to be scared of was also at heart just another normal person, getting incredibly excited and focused about an unusual topic.
These meetings, as a club activity were weekly, but it didn’t take very long for you and malleus to genuinely become friends, every now and then you’d wave to each other in the halls - and your weekly meet-ups were no longer strictly about gargoyles. The two of you would take the time to talk about your day or anything new catching either of your interests.
A couple of months into your friendship, you’d realised you hadn’t even exchanged numbers with malleus, so you asked him about it. Instead of getting his phone number though, you found that he was truly quite… hopeless with technology. This was unexpected for someone like malleus, considering how knowledgeable and apt he was with just about everything. One thing it wasn’t though, was an issue.
It was your turn to take the dragon man by surprise when you’d sent a carrier pigeon to his window, with a letter clutched between its claws. Not having many friends here aside from his dorm-mates, who could freely speak to him in person, had him questioning who the letter was from, could it have been someone from Briar Valley? No, it was just you, his first friend.
The letter was penned in purple ink, and with no specific subject matter, simply talking about random things and asking questions about his well-being. Malleus smiled, holding the letter in his hands, it felt nice having someone care for him instead of being scared of him. But recently he may have started thinking that it’s also nice to care about another person.
He tucked the letter away into a drawer, but it would take him a little longer to tuck it away in his thoughts, as he started penning back his response. And again, just like your Monday meetings, penning letters back and forth quickly became the normal between the two of you.
Despite the familiarity he now associated with you, there was a strange unfamiliarity to the whole situation. Never in malleus’s life did he thing he’d be snuggling into the crook of a human’s neck, whilst listening to them read, studying with someone else, being friends and being vulnerable with someone else. It felt like he’d experienced a lot of firsts with you, and that was something he wanted to continue doing.
Yes, that was right. He’d have to come to terms with it. He cherished you, the way you could make him feel special, how you’d accepted his quirks with open arms and befriended him regardless of your weird, first meet, the way you took an interest in him - exactly how he’d taken an interest in you. That’s why he had to come to terms with it when he cupped your hand in his and said ever-so-gently that he loved you.

Silver and Malleus 3
Summary: Halloween is coming around and Silver’s little pet Malleus was more than a little excited to decorate your house as he saw fit. You didn’t stop him.
(??? Weeks without writing and suddenly I can do two a day?? I'm honestly very confused why this is happening, but I'm not going to question it.)
Tumblr media
Never have you seen Malleus’s wings vibrate so rapidly like that. Practically looked like hummingbird wings, like he stole them right off as the little dragon zipped around your roof like a bug exposed to light.
“He’s uh,” you tilted your head towards Silver, who also can’t pull his eyes away from the sight, “he’s a little excited to be here today, huh?”
Malleus’s head suddenly shot up to the skies, sharp green eyes glinting for just a moment before thorns bloomed from his shadow. They reached up high before the vines braided themselves in a complex pattern that made sense to him, but seemed like knots to you.
Silver gently laughed with a smile, shrugging in defeat, “I know you’re letting him decorate your house however he pleases, but I still feel like I have to say sorry. He’s usually happy but never this excited for Halloween.”
“I’ll say. It feels like he’ll burn himself out, but I’m pretty sure he’s got loads of energy to spare,” you patted Silver’s shoulder, “though, where are the rest of your pets? You’d think they’d be helping Malleus out.”
“Right there,” Silver pointed to the tree right around the entrance to your house, “I think Malleus wanted to take charge, so they’re relaxing over there.”
“’Relaxing,’ huh?” Sebek was obviously consumed by Malleus’s own excitement and was shaking with the strength of his cheers and roars, but it was pretty clear to you that he also wanted nothing more than to zip right on over and help him out, but can’t.
The only one truly relaxing was Lilia, almost looked asleep, hanging upside down from the branch like that, but he periodically opened his eyes just to check his surroundings. Every time you caught his eye, he would flap his leathery bat wings before snuggling back into them.
“I’ll help you clean up once it’s all over,” Silver nudged his head against yours to grab your attention.
“That be great,” you rubbed his back in appreciation, because the grotesque that Malleus was making out of his thorns looks way too big to tackle by yourself. The plant nymphs can’t exactly help. They’d be too scared to touch them.
When he was satisfied with his work, Malleus ran on his stumpy little legs to the ledge of your roof. He spread his arms and wings wide, as though saying “Look! Witness the beauty of my creation!” with the confidence a little kid would have with their first clay art.
“He can’t make gargoyles yet,” Silver whispered just as you gave Malleus a thumbs up and a smile.
“I’m sure he’ll get it one day,” you whispered back.

Spolia
Parings: Malleus/(Light Fae) MC // Slight Rook/Vil // MC (Parental)
Summary: You wondered why you ever got accepted into NRC but never bothered to look back when the infamous black carriage whisked you away from a place you could never call home. Having been handed an opportunity of freedom, of solitude, of hope- how come you're paralyzed with fear rather than excitement? Your sunny plein air sessions and nightly walks contemplating this has attracted a certain dragon fae with an affinity for your nimble gargoyle sketches and magnificent paintings.
Notes: Character's lore heavily based on "changelings"- they are fae children who are swapped out with human children because fae believe humans strengthen their bloodline, can be used as servants, etc. They usually develop faster, are an "unearthly" beauty, and are quite intelligent, but appear/behave odd and unnerving. Their existence stems from religious beliefs that odd/sickly children are possessed by the devil/succubus/incubi or a hybrid of the latter and human. TW for religious trauma and child abuse overall but I'm adding comfort since I would literally explode without it. Am I projecting as an art history major with a noggin full of trauma? Shut up. Notes at the end explaining some of the terms. My autistic brain isn’t satisfied without one
I’m cross posting from ao3 to here, so I will be posting there first, before tumblr.

Masterlist
————————————————————
You glanced quickly around the classroom from your seat at the far left corner, your heart thumping at the mere thought of having to raise your hand AND your voice. After a quick confirmation that everyone seemed to be as half asleep as they usually were, you slowly raised your hand.
"Yes?" Trein gestured towards your direction.
"I, uh, had a question about the development of the architectural structures after the fae and human war." You struggled to look at your Professor's eyes while talking as it had been ingrained into you, however you settled for a spot slightly below his face at the beautiful emerald brooch.
"...after the war, was each race more specialized in their own architectural styles? Or did they care for a spolia* situation with certain buildings or areas each of them conquered?"
Despite all the complaints of drowsiness and the workload of the class, Trein's history lessons were your favorite. Your family background never allowed for any lessons outside of family and national history, so you were happy that Trein would indulge in your inquiries of the art and architecture surrounding the history of magic. Unlike people, buildings and paintings were easier to read- and often they were much more rich with beauty within the layers of history they called with them. Unlike humans.
"That's a good question Mx. D’aramitz. Now I cannot say I have the exact answer as of now..."
Your shoulders slouched a bit in disappointment.
"...however I do have some suggestions on readings if you are interested after class. Any other questions from any other students besides Mx. D’aramitz?" Treins eyes bore into the collective glazed look of the other students. After a beat of deafening silence he swiftly turned to the chalkboard, writing the homework for the weekend.
"That is your work for the weekend. You're all dismissed."
Students began to filter out the door, eager to get to their lunch. You anxiously made your way to Trein, carefully collecting your books, as well as a leather bag containing your art supplies.
"Ah Mx. D’aramitz. Glad to see that you've stayed. Wait here I'll write out the list for you- I take it you've already finished my last recommendations?"
"Ah- yes! It was very interesting, the intertwining between magical royalty and stained glass has some interesting symbolism and political history I never considered...thank you for the suggestions!" You felt your lips unintentionally pull into a grin, as you attempted not to gush about the nuance and beauty of Gothic architecture. Trein listened intently to your review regarding his reading recommendations. His usually tight expression softened into a small smile.
"I'm glad you enjoyed those books. I actually have some other suggestions if you're curious- I'll write them along with the others I promised you." He neatly listed a couple of titles onto a piece of parchment before he handed it to you. "It's always a pleasant surprise to see students like you Mx. D’aramitz. However I don't want to keep you from your lunch. I'll see you in class."
You see some students already filtering into the classroom for their next period, you quickly bow your head. "Th-thank you! Have a good weekend!"
Swiveling around to scurry out of the classroom, your face was met with a large body instead. You instinctively flinched backwards, quickly snapping your anxious gaze to Malleus Draconia, with a calm expression resting on his slender face.
He looked down onto your scrawny figure, virescent eyes staring into your own.
You internally screamed.
"S-sorry! Excuse me..."
Pulling the hem of your hood down, you weaved around the incoming students, making a beeline to your usual place for lunch. Unlike the bustling bodies and loud chaos of the school’s hallways, you were relieved to find the library mostly empty, and tranquil as usual. Despite the silence, you pulled your noise canceling headphones over your pointed ears tucked under your hood, and hit shuffle on your music library. Neatly placing you books on the table, you excitedly trotted over to book shelves, Trein’s list in hand. After some vigilant searching, you found two of the books on your list. However, Power of Artistic Appropriation: Postwar Victory of Gothic Fae Architecture was nowhere to be found.
Ah I guess I can just look at a later time…
Scurrying back to your usual corner, you laid out your lunchbox on the table. You were much more interested in devouring the contents of your book, than eating the homemade meal you had made this morning. Excitement rumbled through your chest, to the tips of your hands and feet, as you absorbed the information on the page. You enjoyed peaceful times like this, untethered to the thoughts that normally weighed you down. The honey gold warmth that shone from the large arched windows reminded you that you needed to buy more yellow pigment from Sam’s shop after your plain air session after classes. You swatted that thought away as you continued to leaf through the last few pages of the chapter Trein recommended.
Ah what peace…
“I said, hey, human .”
You jumped at the sudden presence.
What is with all of the Diasmonia students today??
Stern green eyes looked down in seeming disgust as narrowed in annoyance. You took this que to take off your headphones, careful not to let your hood down. Sebek held out his hand expectantly, shoving it in front of your face. You flinched on instinct but maintained a trained look of composure despite the rush of tingling anxiety creeping to the tips of your hands. You dug your fingernails into the palms of your hands to ground yourself.
“I believe you have a book that my young master is in need of. Hand it over and we can be done here, human .”
…hah?
“S-Sorry?”
To your horror his face twisted in anger. “Are you deaf, human ?! I said hand it over.” Sebek seethed through his teeth.
He seems more trouble than he’s worth… and this feeling, and the Diasmonia uniform…half fae perhaps? It can’t possibly end well…
“Ah s-sorry! My notes are still in it but‒“ The student snatched the book from your hands, before marching away from you with a pile of books in hand. Maybe the book you were looking for earlier is also in that pile. Ah, at least you finished most of the chapter, better than being hurt or in a difficult situation. You collected your things before brushing off your pomefiore uniform, heading to your next class.
How troublesome…
You couldn’t wait until you were away from the noise of people.
Letting out a relieved sigh, you trotted out of the school, towards the gothic structure of the Diasmonia dorm. To be frank, you had half a mind to avoid the dorm with the run-ins you’ve had with the students today, however you were almost finished with the painting , aside from the painful drying process and varnish. Eager to begin another piece featuring the gargoyles you read of in the book that was rudely snatched from you today, you decided to risk it. You were already creating a color palette you could use for the painting, perhaps you would check with Sam if any interesting or rare pigments arrived.
Swiveling your head to check for any students, you were thankful to see no one. After all, this was an unpopular part of the campus, off to the side of the Diasmonia dorm where you could get a good look at the dynamic structures supported by the towering buttresses. Airy walls suspended from the heavens, while the hefty stone ground it into the Earth creeping up the structure with its mossy appendages.
Finally able to relax, you let down your hood, putting your music on speaker to give your pointed ears a break from the noise canceling headphones not made for fae ear structure. Shrugging off your uniform jacket, you let your translucent wings free from the restricting fabri. Stretching your achy wings, you basked in the light wind, and warm sunlight‒ soaking it deeply into your wings. As a light fae (you were pretty sure anyway, your family deflected any questions of your origins), the sunlight felt especially good on the delicate appendages on your back, too bad this itchy wing prevented you from feeling it in your light hair. However, that would leave you completely vulnerable to people finding out your identity‒ and no good sunbath would be good enough to make up for the verbal abuse you would suffer if that were to happen. You tried not to think about that place; the cold, dark closet; the venomous words‒ ah, no, time to get to work.
It’s almost the culture festival, and I want a couple more pieces to what I have planned already. It’s my duty as Art Club president to act as model for the underclass men…
Opening your leather bag, you pulled out a sealed palette, some bristle brushes, palette knife, and some linseed oil you extracted yourself. As a member of the Pomefiore dorm, you took quiet pride in your collection of homemade oils, tinctures, and pigments you made specially to improve the longevity, quality, and opaqueness of your works. Though you had been originally sorted due to your family’s involvement in dealing expensive health and beauty potions, you thanked the great seven you were placed into a dorm that appealed to the prestigious image you had to maintain, and your parents constant pushing for modeling, while also fitting within your interests of artistic pursuits of painting and experimenting with paint formulas. However, you weren’t too fond of the rococo* design the Pomefiore dorm favored, and gravitated more to the gothic styles of the Diasmonia dorm. Despite your fondness for the dorm, you did not excel especially in magic like other fae, and in fact strictly forbidden in your home to practice magic.
Do not bring such demonic workings into our house! Your existence is a manifestation of the devil’s doings as it is. Pathetic child.
The center of your chest sunk to your stomach reminded of those words by your “mother”. You quietly tugged your uniform back on, pulling your hood over your head once more. Rolling your sleeves up, you began to layer thick globs of paint onto the impasto below.
———————————————————————————————
“Young Master! I’ve returned with some reading I thought you would be interested in!”
Malleus set down his borrowed copy of Power of Artistic Appropriation: Postwar Victory of Gothic Fae Architecture , slightly taken back from the tall stack of books that was dropped onto the table.
“You didn’t have to do that Sebek…Though I do thank you, these readings seem intriguing and would serve well to the Gargoyle Appreciation Club during the cultural festival coming soon.”
“My pleasure young master!” Sebek boomed, bowing. As Malleus leafed through some of the books that appealed to his interest, his eyes paused at the sight of a wad of purple sticky notes lining almost every page of a chapter, decorated in neat cursive written in red ink. He softly traced the curly lettering, feeling goosebumps on his skin as his fingertips felt the raised paper from the ink soaking into the thin paper. He was entranced by the intricate notes, full of excitement and terms he had never heard before, steeping to every inch of his mind as he devoured the chapter. To his absolute pleasure, he also found a few pieces of nimbly scrawled sketches of the types of gargoyles the chapter introduced. Though they were rough, he could sense a sort of liveliness and breath to them. He hadn’t even seen Sebek excuse himself to club activities, engrossed in the internal dialogue of mystery person who had left their pretty cursive and sketches in every crevice of this particular chapter.
Mn? Pretty? When had he decided that?
However, such a melody he could imagine from this person’s internal dialogue and vibrant imagery could only be described as pretty .
Not even bothering to finish the book in its entirety, he leafed through the pages once more. It was imperative that he find this mystery person immediately, of course to ask for their help in for his club during the cultural festival. Could it be a fourth year? That would definitely be a challenge finding them. He quickly checked the library card‒ ah, no luck, just a stamp from today, presumably from Sebek and two more from more than 60 years ago. Could this mystery person made the notes in the library without checking it out? Dozens of scenarios spun in his head. Maybe he could ask the librarian? Or he could ask the art-related students on campus?
He felt and airy warmth bubble from his chest grazing his hands across the sketches, and annotations once more. The sun had began to set, slowly sinking his dormitory in a blazing orange. Perhaps he could think of a solution on his nightly walk.
———————————————————————————————
After stopping by Sam’s shop to peruse through his collection of pigments and oils, you were struggling to balance the precious vials of rare Lapis Lazuli* and Tyrian Purple* powders for your next painting. It had been an expensive decision, surely your funds were going to run out soon, which meant you would be having to complete a modeling job sooner or later.
You really should have taken up the offer for a bag damn it. Your bad habit of declining the smallest bit of help had gotten the best of you once more.
The sky was beginning to darken, a deep mauve hue starting staining the vermillion sunset.
Between the day you’ve had today, your scrunched up wings folded uncomfortably under your uniform, the itchy wig that was digging into your temples, and the mere idea of having to interact with your parents to acquire merely a percentage’s worth of the work you do for them‒ this was too much. You slumped to the ground, setting all of your items down while holding back the tears that were burning the back of your eyes. However, after a beat, you swallowed that feeling like a rock, plunging it deep down in your chest, cradling it within the slow, heavy breaths as if to lull it back to sleep.
Go down go down go down go down
“Are you alright?”
You slowly pulled your gaze to a towering figure, one with the same sharp green eyes that bored into you in Trein’s classroom. For a minute you questioned what planets could have aligned for such encounters to happen today.
“Y-Yes! Sorry, excuse me!” Malleus’ steel gaze watched you immediately scramble for your things, cupping it within your clumsy arms, but not without your canvas slipping from your hand and thumping onto the ground.
“I can help you carry that for you. You’re a Pomefiore student?”
I am absolutely going to scream
“Oh…um, sorry, thank you! And y-yes, third year Pomefiore student. It’s this way…”
Ah yes as if a third year like him doesn’t know where things are
The man hummed in acknowledgement, before following behind with your canvas in hand.
“What were you doing out all alone here? It’s almost completely black out, and a child of man like you cannot see in the dark. It’s dangerous.”
“I’m sorry! I-I was just painting after school to prepare for the cultural festival for the Arts club, and I took too much time at the store choosing pigments for my next painting and I’m so stupid, I didn’t bring a bag to fit all my supplies and the paint still isn’t dry yet because I didn’t add enough fast drying medium this time and‒“
“You’re part of the Arts Club?”
For a second you were taken off guard from his geninely interested expression. Rarely you would see such an expression when you explained the activities of the Art Club. Usually you were met with passive stares or a polite nod before they moved on.
“Yes, I’m the president actually! If you’d like, please visit us during the cultural fair!” You wanted to gush about the events you held, and your specific special interests within the field, but you held back.
No one would want to hear that.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea, child of man.”
“Ahaha…child of man?”
“What your species is called. ‘Humans’, correct?” You felt his eyes turn towards yours, your cheeks slightly rosy with the intense eye contact. You prayed to the great seven that he had not sensed anything from you, especially with the bitter potions that you choked down everyday to appease your family’s relentless reminder for you to be anything other than what you were.
“…yeah…haha I-I guess. Oh! You should join the Art Club if you’re that interested. We’re always short on members so I’m usually the only one organizing and participating in events…”
“Ah, as much as I would like to…I’m already in my own club, the Gargoyle Appreciation Club. I appreciate the offer however.”
“Oh…that’s a shame ah! Not that your club isn’t interesting‒ in fact‒“ you caught yourself mid sentence, preventing yourself from dumping the loads of information that was threatening to bubble up from your throat. You were pretty sure you had used up a life time’s worth of luck with today’s events when the Pomefiore’s dormitory came into view to save the day.
“W-We’re here. I think I can carry the short distance to my room. Thank you for helping me!”
“No need for thanks, child of man. I look forward to seeing your presentation at the cultural festival.”
“I’ll keep an eye out for your booth as well!” After seeing him off, you scurried into the dormitory, eager to get a head start on preparing your paint mixtures before your plain air tomorrow.
“Ah L’artiste en folie! Marvelous timing.”
“Indeed!”
“(name), good timing. We were just talking about you”
I am absolutely at my limit‒
You leaned your canvas against the staircase ( for quick escape ), turning to the voice.
“Yes, vice dorm leader, dorm leader? Oh, and headmage Crowley, a pleasure.” You answered with a curt bow. Just like you were taught.
“We were wondering if L’artiste en folie would be willing to draft up some posters for the cultural festival!”
“I had a connection with someone in the professional art industry but they bailed last minute. Rook suggested we ask you instead, based on the art galleries you’ve been holding every now and then.”
Weird that they know about that. You make sure never to sign your works in case of any slim chance your family would hear about your activities at Night Raven College, and to mix it with the submissions by the other Art Club Members. However you haven’t seen many other members or artists wandering around the campus with canvases as big as yours, or struggling to balance vials of previous pigment to your dorm ah, you definitely weren’t as sneaky as you thought. Still you glanced over at Rook, he is a hunter after all, you figured, he’s likely trained in careful observation. You’ve also seen him sneaking around spying on people, so, there’s that.
“I said it was a brilliant idea Mx. D’aramitz! You must! I’ll even offer compensation for the job!”
Your ears definitely perked up at the sound of that.
Hm. Money and some practice for my calligraphy. Temping offer…
“…Ok. I do have one condition though since the posters will be in public.”
“Phenomenal!” Crowley shot up, already ready to take his leave upon sealing the deal. You flinched in surprise at the sudden movement. “Your condition is?”
“Please leave out any evidence of my name or involvement in this project. That is all.”
The three paused, slight surprise adorned on their faces. Crowley was the first to relax, letting out a hearty laugh.
“Haha! That’s it? That can be arranged Mx. D’aramitz, rest assured. Ah this is wonderful news…” Crowley began to mumble something about not having to spend so much money on professional artists, which you quirked your eyebrow at. Oh well, you weren’t really in the position to be lecturing people about money right now, taking note of how painfully light your wallet was in your pocket after your visit at Sam’s.
“L’artiste en folie! Truly magnifique that you’re pouring your artists soul for us to save us from the absolute peril!”
He’s a little confused but he’s got the spirit.
“We appreciate this (name). Here is the information we need on the posters. We’ll leave creative liberty for the design aspects. I trust your taste after seeing your work on display.” Vil handed you a piece of paper with the date, time, groups, and main highlights of the cultural festival. You had a feeling it was going to be a busy few weeks before the festival.

Notes:
Adding bits and pieces of my knowledge of medieval/gothic architecture is hard when you’ve only taken 1 course on it lol. Though I consider my art history knowledge to be pretty well rounded, my academic concentration isn’t in the Middle Ages (it's contemporary/modern and non European) so please correct me if you see anything wrong, because my autistic brain likes information yum.
Spolia: Basically when you defeat someone, break apart pieces of an Artwork of their country and incorporate it into a symbol of victory. Not only does this save time during the building process, but it's also a political/social/religious/symbolic fuck you to your opponent. Also can show that you're building upon the foundations of the old to rebuild the new.
The Arch of Constantine is a very good example of this. A lot of examples I've personally seen are triumph arches. Lots in France because they're always fighting
Rococo: From what I can largely gather, while the exterior of the castle is largely based off of German castles post medieval era, the interior of the Pomefiore’s dormitory is heavily inspired by Rococo design. Similar to Rococo art, the style is very frivolous, decadent, and overall excessive. I imagine due to the reader’s family connections which I will establish further on, their home is in a similar style, perhaps with more religious elements.
If you look up the Palace of Versailles (A heightened example of Rococo culture right at the prissy center of the movement) and compare it side by side to the hallway of the Pomefiore's dorm its literally the same. I took one glance at the wiki page and was like wait I've seen that before. Low and behold the French have come to haunt me everywhere
Gothic: people have a lot of misconceptions about this word including and especially the people at Disney lmao their architecture is a mess. But "gothic" as we art historians use it refers more to a list of characteristics than a specific time period (Though usually around the 12th to 16th century). You've seen the stained glass windows with the thin frames and the dynamic, pointy architecture from sites like Notre Dame de Paris (the one that caught on fire also the one Victor Hugo based the Hunchback for Notre Dame off of‒ praying for cool architecture in the new dorm based off of the Disney movie so I can analyze the fuck out of it.) or the Notre Dame de Reims‒ these are actually late gothic when the technology to build higher, more airy structures was available. But there's actually a lot more to gothic architecture, like I mentioned buttresses which allow gothic architecture to be as tall as it is, or gothic arches, ribbed vaulting, arcade (essentially an added strip of decorated wall), and a long long nave that leads to a central apse. Oh and of course Malleus' favorite, gargoyles. They actually served a very functional purpose in the beginning, aiding in water flow off the building to prevent erosion. It is also told that the head of a Gargoyle helps in repelling evil spirits which cathedrals would obviously want to do. I imagine this to be some sort of symbol of technology and innovation on the Fae's part, and perhaps used as a symbol of victory over humans during the war?? Idk I'm making shit up and I think too much but I think the idea is interesting
Not going to go too far into explaining because it gets long but Diasmonia's high windows, separation of each section of the wall (ie the arcade and clerestory) and gothic arches (the ones that are pointed slightly at the top) and ribbed vaulting makes be believe the artists were going for early gothic or at least was what they were referencing when designing the interior of the dorm (Look up Sens Cathedral if you want an example). Really wish they leaned more heavily into the gothic thing and designed it to be more late gothic with "goth" touches, but maybe the new dorm based on the movie based on the book based on the late gothic Cathedral has me having hope we will get our beautiful stained windows and voluptuous flying buttresses
Lapis Lazuli is the mineral that makes Ultramarine, but it's super fucking expensive and it's been heralded as a symbol of royalty since the Bronze age by some of the oldest civilizations in the world (Bull Headed Lyre of Ur is one famous example of how it was used to honor royalty, even in death since it was a funerary object). The color is also featured in Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring. Mans was rich
Tyrian purple is the pigment made out of crushing a certain sea snail, also expensive because it's very labor intensive, and has a specific locality in availability. I'd like to think Vil's robes are dyed in this color just because he's extra like that. I also imagine Sam making a deal with Azul to acquire the snails/pigment which is why reader is so very broke after purchasing it lol

Name: Rosa (Rosita) Reyes (she/they)
Dorm: Ramshackle
Grade/Class: 1-A (teacher aid)
Birthday: Oct. 30th (scorpio)
Age: 18
Height: 162 cm
Dominant hand: ambidextrous
Homeland: ???
Club: Art and Gargoyles Study
Hobby: gardening, writing
Pet Peeves: fruit stickers
Favorite Food: Sopita de Conchas
Least Favorite Food: Jalapenos Rellenos
Talent: First Aid/Guns
☆☆☆
Although wary and awkard around everyone and everything at first, Rosita is quick to come out of her shell with a welcoming smile. Lacking in any magical abilites, she's makes up with it with her big heart and resourcefulness. With determination and a bit of dumb luck, Rosa quickly adapts to her new life in Twisted Wonderland.
☆☆☆
Background Information
+ Rosita is from a big family, though she tends not to speak much about them because she gets sad quickly. She has often mentioned her abuelita and abuelito. And her childhood friend/crush, Isabela.
+ She's not the smartest, actually she's quite dense when it come to anything academic, which often lead to her planning study groups with anyone that wants to join. (she ends up getting distracted or falling asleep way to quickly)
+ Rosa was actually in the process of applying to various colleges before she got transported. So to say she was angry about having to start over is an understatement.
+ She ranges from being a student to a teacher aid. She's often helping Crewel and Trein with grading papers and around the classroom. Every Thurday and Tuesday afternoon, she can be found in Crowley's office helping out with his work. She sucks at physical activity, so she doesn't really help Vargas.
+ Sam gave Rosita a part-time job at his shop! She works pretty often, but her schedule is inconsistant.
+ On her first day at Ramshackle, she became quick friends with the ghosts! They're besties.
+ She and Rook are actually good friends. Rosa finds him amusing and finds herself having a ton of fun with him. She and Rook often go on long rants about beauty or their current hyper-fixations. She feels heard when she's with him.
+ She's also super confortable with Malleus. Their first encounter was extremely embarrassing on her part, she cringes everytime. But they grow really close. They often get lost in converstions and can be seen reading together.
+ The first years adore her and she adores them! They remind her of her little siblings, so she often goes big sister mode, especially during overblots.
☆☆☆
a/n: here's my twst oc! i love her so much and lowkey I'm extremely nervous about posting this lol. she's a little bit of a self insert, but I tried to make her into her own person. Apparently it's much harder then it looks like. Anyways, if you ahve any questions about her, feel free to ask!

I saw this post and I was wondering if you write Malleus' too, is okay for you to make that?
How to win a heart of Malleus Draconia?
Tumblr media
a/n: I started posting my writings here because I want to improve my English — so I technically wouldn't make this request. But! Someone on Wattpad (where I take requests) asked for the same thing, so I rolled up my sleeves and wrote this guide today in both languages. Enjoy~
1. Don't be afraid of him.
It is said that the first impression is the most important.
So when you first saw this guy walking through the corridor of Diasomnia, it was hard for you to get rid of that view from your head.
Illuminated both by the green magic flames set in the lobby, as well as by the moon, which eventually managed to break through the dark clouds and with a bright glow appear in the windows of the dormitory, he seemed... lonely and beautiful.
You shuddered as you took a step down the hallway and the dark-haired man turned to you. He measured you with his emerald eyes. And then you recognized him; all the conversations about the mysterious and fearsome Malleus Draconia flew through your head.
Everything told you to rush towards the hallway and run as far as possible, but a piece of you found it inappropriate. Or rather, no one would want to chase everyone away from themself... right?
When you realized you were looking at him for a while, you took a deep breath and nod slightly.
"Good evening, Draconia-san," you said quickly. After a while you added, "The moon is beautiful today, don't you think?”
 2. Smile a lot.
Today was a really wonderful day: the test was postponed, your favorite dish was given in the canteen, and for some reason, the last two lessons were canceled – your class had to make just a quick note about a topic and it took less than fifteen minutes.
"Something happened?" Malleus asked, seeing how almost in the jumps you walk past him. When you looked at him, he added, "You smile a lot.”
"I can stop smiling if you want," you made a sad face, but after a while, the corners of your mouth began to tremble uncontrollably and twisted up again. "Oops, I can’t. Today... it was such a good day... that I think I'm slowly using my life's happiness.”
"I didn't say that smiling is bad," he said. "You look so much better when you smile.”
"Oh," you sighed with apparent surprise. "Is it a compliment?"
"It’s rather a fact..?"
 3. From time to time visit him during club activities.
"Is this a class of the ‘Gargoyle research society club’?” with a deaf knock you opened the door. Malleus turned to you, making a break from browsing through the materials gathered in the library about the history of each of the gargoyles on the school grounds. And there were a lot of them.
"Yes," he replied briefly, getting up. "Do you need something, [Name]?"
"Not at all, my club don’t have a meeting today," you said, closing the door behind you.
You looked around: the room was as clean as ever, except for one desk, where were laid several huge volumes about statues in NRC.
“Are you here alone?” You said before you thought. You lowered your eyes to see Malleus nodding unconcerned slightly. You blinked several times trying to think of what else you could say. "This room... could be a secret base," that was the first thing that came to your mind. Malleus turned his head to one side, uncertain of your response.
“A secret base..? Why?”
"I have no idea," you admitted quickly. "But the very existence of a mysterious point is interesting, isn't it? Doing normal things, such as watching movies or just talking, seems more interesting in places like this,” After a moment of silence, you sighed. "You know what, this idea with the base is stupid”
"We can try," he replied with serious tone. You raised your eyes to see how he looked around the room. "But you'll just have to explain this idea to me in more detail. We can also tell Lilia, Silver and Sebek about it...” he smiled as if seeing your five together in his thoughts was a pleasure. "It will be surely... fun.”
 4. Get yourself a Tamagotchi.
"Look!" you spin a new key chain on your finger. You finally stopped and showed it to Malleus. "Now they are matching!”
A small electronic toy, in a dark green screen that, when it flashed, showed a virtual, pixelated animal. You were impressed with how good quality it was made, especially since you only gave the Shroud brothers a sketch of a toy that Malleus owned.
Your keychain was exactly the same, just a different color and with another pet.
Malleus pulled out his own device and put it on the table. He pressed one of the buttons and a small pet appeared on the keychain – a dragon.
"They can now be friends," you brought your toy closer to so-called Gao-Gao Dragon-kun.
"Do you think so?" He asked in a very surprised tone, but it sounded as if in a moment he were about to burst out with an inexplicably joyful and surprised laugh.
"Of course. Everyone needs a decent friend, no?”
 5. Gain the trust of Lilia, Silver and Sebek.
Lilia, one of Malleus' closest people. It is much more likely that you will meet him before Malleus. He will be very proud when he learns that Malleus has found a friend. If you become a taster of Lilia, in terms of his pastries, he will 100% like you, and at 20% you will leave the kitchen alive and well.
Silver, who has mastered the art of sleeping in any conditions. It's easy to get him into your plans, although with the craziest ones he will hesitate. Rather well-disposed towards everyone, he can cover for you when you are not in class— but he usually inadvertently falls asleep and both of you often have penal assignments after school.
Sebek, faithful to Malleus, if he doesn't like you, you won't have too many opportunities to stay by Malleus's side without a thunderous glances at you. He will recognize you if you will listen carefully to his monologues about his master and as a sign of your friendship, he will teach you by heart of all the titles and achievements of Malleus so far.
With this trio by your side, you can get a lot further than you might have imagined...
 6. Be a master in hide and seek.
You’d give your right arm that your breath was too loud.
You pressed your hands to your mouth as you crouched in the corner of the room.
From whose voices you already heard, you knew that Lilia had already found Sebek. This meant that you or Silver would still be helping cook dinner since Malleus didn’t come at the start of the game.
This may seem silly, but the ability to play classic games was one of the elements of the art of survival in Diasomnia.
It was thanks to games like ‘stone-paper-scissors’, hide and seek or tag that household chores fell on the shoulders of the losers. Lilia loved the idea, and there was always a proud smile on his lips when he saw his beloved children play together.
You heard the steps behind you and shivered.
Very slowly you turned around and looked up to see Malleus standing over you and wondering what you were doing, crouching in the darkest corner of the room.
Puns were also included in the survival pack.
Fearing that Lilia would hear your whisper, you put your finger on your mouth, asking him not to say a word. You put a begging eye into it – all but not cooking with Lilia. Not again.
Malleus nodded, recognizing the gravity of the situation, although he smiled.
Really, no one would want Malleus to be an enemy.
Or at least in such a situation.
 7. Do not hesitate to ask him for help with learning.
"In theory, you should focus on the space around you," Malleus pulled a wand in front of him. It flashed, and almost at the same time, a thin but incredibly strong protective barrier was created around him. “Weaker spells can be reflected. In turn, the stronger ones are better to block”
You nodded understandingly.
Defensive magic was not something easy to understand. Most depended on the person against whom the counter spell was being prepared. And there are countless people who walk on this Earth and want to start fights.
"Unique spells block or avoid physically," he continued. You nodded at every subsequent sentence, slowly feeling like all the lessons are eventually gaining transparency. “Using unique magic against unique magic, the stronger will win, both will lead to explosions or completely reduce.
He looked at you when you wrote down the last sentence in your notebook.
"I sincerely hope that you will only need this information in class," he said with a sigh. "If you need help, call me. I will come. I promise.”
 8. Sometimes be persuaded to wear extravagant clothes.
"Do you really think it suits me?" you turned around, looking at yourself from every possible angle in the mirror.
You were going to the theater in a few classes to see some era-related play that you've been discussing now in history lessons. Everyone, respecting the reputation, actions and achievements of theatre, dressed in their best clothes.
Malleus stood next to you.
He was already wearing a black and white outfit with green accessories. They all worked so well together and fitted him like a glove that you were sure that the whole outfit was made especially for him.
"Yes," he replied. "Everything you put on today suited you very well.”
Once again, with critical eyesight, you looked at the outfit, face and hair, before you quickly turned off the lights in the room and closed the door behind you.
Then you smiled at Malleus.
"We can go now," you said. You made your way through the portal to the main NRC building. "And... thank you for your help.
"My pleasure," he said. Under no circumstances was it just a polite formula. He really loved looking at you.
 9. Invite him to your birthday/party.
"Another break from school soon, huh?" — you muttered, leaning against the railing.
You took a deep breath and let the fresh, pleasant air refresh you.
"Are you going to home, [Name]?" Malleus asked. Green lights were still flying around him, so you guessed he’d just appeared here.
"I haven't decided yet," you sighed. "It would be nice to go home, but the break won't be very long... Ah, that's right!” you straightened up and turned to him. "How about spending another break together? As soon as I can, I will contact my family... although I cannot promise anything.”
Though he did not show it, Malleus' heart beat a little faster.
Spend free time? With someone? With someone he likes?
"Of course," he sounded less calm than he thought. He wasn’t often invited anywhere, even for the things he should have been on, so there was a lot of excitement growing in his body. "I don't see anything against it.”
 10. From "The Great Malleus Draconia-sama" to "Love".
"Ah, The Great Malleus-sama!" you sighed theatrically, taking from him a box of chocolates with a joyful smile. You could promise that because of this dark-haired boy here, you slowly become pampered. "Thank you for your generosity!”
Malleus frowned.
"The Great Malleus-sama"..?” he pondered, putting his fingers to his chin. "Did Sebek told you again to call me with this title?"
"No," you laughed softly at his reaction. "I did it out of curiosity. Maybe I could call you some cute nickname, hmm?" you smiled mischievously.
"For example?"
"By adding ‘-chan’ to your name?” you turned on your phone and typed something related to the nicknames. You started reading suggestions and struggled to hold back from laughing. ” ’Sunshine’, ‘star’, ‘flower’, ‘sweetheart’, ‘love’...
"I like the last one," he said, and the invisible force stung you to the ground.
"Would you like me to call you like that? Out of curiosity or out of love?" You laughed, but your cheeks were all red with blushes.
He smiled sincerely at your reaction.
"Hmm, I wonder..?"

Jjba x Twisted wonderland
La squadra is a ragtag group of friends that have come together through their common trait of being held back one or more times. Each has been feared, respected, or disliked strongly thus amounting to their very limited number of friends.
Though talented in their own sense, they are well known for causing trouble with rumors of them being merciless and cruel.
Melone
Unique Magic: Baby Face
Best subject: Astrology
Club: Science Club
Notorious for being one of the creepiest students in all of NRC. He seems to have every secret every student is trying to hide with excessive knowledge of everyone’s internet history. Everyone strays clear of Melone, for talking to him encourages him to bring up one’s more vulnerable secrets partnered with very personal questions. However, he seems to get along with Rook fairly well, the two coming hand-in-hand with their...hobbies.
Idia fears him the most with Melone knowing about everything Idia has looked up along with what kind of animes/mangas and games he keeps up with. Leona dislikes him the most due to his association with Rook.
Crowley has held him back due to his breach of privacy but fears him too much to stop him for the same reason. Melone is considered a menace to all women due to his unique magic and is only allowed in all boys academies. However, he still finds ways to contact women for his magic experiments.
Risotto Nero
Unique Magic: Metallica
Best subject: Summoning
Club: Gargoyle Research Society
Having probably killed a man, Risotto is wildly feared and respected, almost as much as Malleus. His innate, powerful magic and keen mind make him a man to be appreciated, but his scary appearance and large frame scare off many who have tried to approach him. He has very little friends past the members of la squadra, but he seems to get along with Malleus fairly well. They are in no means friends, being that they are never seen together or talk together when they are seen, but he has confirmed that there is a sense of...comradory between them due to their similar situations. However, due to Risotto’s very open taste in music, they do not progress past that.
He likes Kalim, one of the few that have been kind to him, but he strongly dislikes Jamil for his two-faced nature. Since the two are often seen together, Risotto does not interact with them often.
He has been held back many times, but Crowley refuses to answer why.
Prosciutto
Unique Magic: Grateful Dead
Best subject: Magical Pharmaceuticals
Club: none
Hidden beneath his younger brother’s shadow, Prosciutto had been known to be a little off from Vil. Beautiful, but not quite as beautiful as Vil. Smart, but not quite as smart as Vil. Reliable, but not quite as reliable as Vil. Graceful, feared, loved, and respected...but not as much as Vil, Prosciutto had found himself falling short to his younger brother. This had built envy in the man Prosciutto began to adopt a more hostile and cold personality when he had lost his position of Dorm Head to him.
He despises Rook for his blinding praise of Vil and his backhanded compliments to Prosciutto. He has come to take a liking for Epel, even bringing him under his wing along with Pesci when Vil is not there to steal him away from him. He seems to get along well with the Leech twins and Azul due to his excessive knowledge of bars and well-assorted drinks (he had insisted on adding alcoholic beverages once or twice before).
Prosciutto had been held back due to the assault of another student. However, the details on that have been vague, dwindling to only rumors.
Pesci
Unique Magic: Beach Boy
Best subject: Arts
Club: Boardgame club
Shy and withdrawn, it is a miracle and shocking to find that he had been held back just like his other friends. He tends to keep to himself, stumbling around as a helpless waiter but a fairly talented chef when dealing with seafood. Pesci can be seen being bullied by many students, mainly Savaclaw for his cowardice, and Pomefiore for his distasteful appearance. He has even been scammed by his own Dorm Head, Azul. Though shy, he is skilled with his unique magic being something greatly feared when used right.
This potential is not lost to Prosciutto who had often used his free time to train and teach Pesci. Due to this result, Pesci gets along well with Epel who finds themselves together more often than not, and when he is picked on by other Savanaclaw students, Jack Howl had come in, defending him and urging him to fight back. The two become fast friends. On the side, Sebek also tries to train him through vigorous yelling and loud encouragement. However, he is often pushed away by Prosciutto. He also seems to get along well with Jamil and Trey as they share notes on various recipes.
He had been held back due to accidental property damages. He is to work at Octavinelle’s cafe until he can pay back the repairs. He has taken extra classes due to Prosciutto’s encouragement to strengthen himself.
Formaggio
Unique Magic: Little Feet
Best subject: Practical Magic
Club: Magical Shift club
Formaggio is one of the rougher and tougher members of the Squadra group. With his unique magic, he takes pride in conquering others with his larger size, but his often misuse his magic gets him into a lot of trouble with other students and even professors. He is constantly trying to prove how he is stronger than another and that his magic is useful. He has a harsh mouth and a silver tongue which pushes a lot of people away with his taunting. Despite his passion for Magic Shift, he is lazy and was not accepted onto the team.
Surprisingly, he gets along with Ace and Deuce, the three getting into a lot of trouble and then Formaggio subsequently shrinking them out of trouble in turn. He also gets along with Ruggie, the two often pickpocketing unsuspecting students and seeing what they could get out of it. He also often gets on Sebeks’ nervous with his continuous disrespect and taunting and is on bad terms with the Leech twins due to many conflicts.
He had been held back due to his many cases of aggression against other students and failing classes.
Illuso
Unique Magic: Man in the Mirror
Best subject: Magic History
Club: movie-study club
One of the students that NRC has never seen just seems to know everything about everyone regardless. Illuso is withdrawn, prideful, and cold with many first and second years never having seen him before. This is due to the fact that he often resides in the mirror world due to his unique magic. He dislikes dealing with people and dislikes professors even more. He has many absences and failing grades due to this.
Though, surprisingly, he gets along with Cater. Despite how much Illuso complains about how self-absorbed and loud Cater is, he enjoys the pictures and momentary attention from social media posts and hashtags. Though, he doesn’t like Cater enough to consider him a friend despite the fact that Cater considers him such anyways. He also seems to know a lot about Vil, the two gettings along shockingly well. Rumors have it that this is because Illuso’s constant in staying in the mirrors world and Vil’s insistence on looking at himself in mirrors. He often shares information with Melone, but he refuses to talk to Rook at all.
Illuso had been held back obviously due to his many abscesses.
Ghiaccio
Unique Magic: White Album
Best subject: Defensive Magic
Club: Basketball club
The short-tempered, hot-headed Ghiaccio is one Heartslabyul student to steer clear of. He gets frustrated about many things, often seen arguing with Riddle who argues just as much back until both of their faces get red. It is a miracle that the dorm had not been set on fire just yet. Ghiaccio is quick to find something to be frustrated about, and he will cling to it. This obviously pushes many people away, but he doesn’t seem to care all too much. He often gets in fights with students in Savanaclaw, and he really...really hates Jack’s last name.
It is no surprise that he and Riddle often get into arguments, but Trey is usually there to dissolve some conflicts with his keen baking skills, but this usually only diffuses the argument temporarily. While Riddle is a stickler for many of the Queen’s rules, Ghiaccio is adamant to call them ridiculous. This causes Riddle to temporarily disperse Ghiaccio’s magic, but Ghiaccio don’t need no magic to punch a twink in the face.
He seems to only be quiet when Silver is around, for he enjoys the animals Silver brings to him, and Ghiaccio seems to be gentle only when he is around. He rambles and Silver listens silently often, but it hard to tell if he is just a good listener or if he’s asleep.
Ghiaccio had been held back due to his aggression towards professors and students.

I'm always a sucker for Leona and Malleus being at each other's throats. It's hilarious and one of my favorite dynamics in twst.
How did they come across each other in the superhero au/was there an inciting incident that caused them to hate each other?
Well, the conflict first started when Malleus had the gall to be taller than Leona, even without heels.
They met when Malleus first showed up at Crowley’s evil corporate buffet dinner. He was introduced as a new, up and coming supervillain, who had already managed to pull off several daring schemes that left the city’s heroes in shambles.
Crowley had extended an invitation to him, and Malleus was so excited he’d turned up three hours early and been waiting eagerly to make some new friends. Unfortunately, him wearing his finest “supervillain” cape and costume to the event and looming in a corner with a trio well-armed, professional-looking minions around him just made Malleus look unapproachable.
And even if Leona showed up late, he’s rather disgruntled at not being the scariest (or the tallest) guy in the room. So Leona did what any lion would do when faced with a potential challenger to his authority.
He went and picked a fight.
Malleus was initially hopeful that the beastman coming over wouldn’t be as scared of him as all the others who had tried to chat to him this evening had been. Only the actor had been able to hold even basic small talk, and he had excused himself quickly once Malleus brought up gargoyles.
He wasn’t best pleased then, when Leona began insinuating that Malleus wasn’t even villain enough to deserve the “super”, and that the “pampered lizard” wouldn’t be able to last more than a fortnight before he got kicked out of the league.
So Malleus asked the rude beastman exactly how many successful schemes he’d pulled of recently. There was no way Leona was going to take it well when Lilia began snickering as Malleus complimented him on his strategy of going after multiple small targets “that no one would think had any value to go missing” and committing only “petty crimes” that he wouldn’t receive as much punishment for.
It was at this moment that Crowley decided to pop in and give the two of them some kind encouragement, as he is so gracious, and as Leona was about to upend the buffet table and try to hit Malleus with it. He gave the two the healthy challenge of seeing who could steal a famous diamond from the city’s museum of art first.
The diamond ended up destroyed in the resulting competition.
Leona claims Malleus melted the rock with his desperate fire breathing just as he was about to win. Malleus claims Leona turned the bauble to sand in a fit of rage at his impending loss. No one knows the truth, because the damage was so bad the museum itself was closed for weeks for repairs.
And from there blossomed a beautiful enmity that would rival even the hatred both parties held for the heroes of the RSA.

Hi, just saw your mbti headcanon. Can you explain why? I'm kinda curious with the reasons. What do you think Leona's type is?
Hello! Leona hmm. I’m afraid I haven’t read much of Leona to really make a near-accurate explanation. But he seems like an unhealthy entj. This shows in chapter 2 when he would go as far as hurting other teams to win. He’s known to have potential, but is “lazy”.
I’d love to be able to talk about twst and mbti, so feel free to discuss. :)
Vil: isfp (FiSe)- he is deeply involved in the process of his craft (makes his cosmetics, etc). Self expression, lives in the moment, chasing fashion trends and keeping himself beautiful. Also, despite being seen as somewhat narcissistic sometimes, Vil also admires self-development, and helps people in that respect (like fixing jack’s clothes, etc.)
BUT we haven’t seen more of Vil yet, so this could change, because initially, I saw him as an enfj. I hope chapter 5 can give clarity to his actions.
Rook: enfp (NeFi) I’m still not sure about Rook yet, but he could actually be a Se dom.- so much enthusiasm when he’s interested in something/someone, asks unconventional conversation questions. Has a penchant for arts and the flair for the dramatic.
Azul: entj (TeNi)- business-minded, gets things he plans to do done well, probably wants to take over the world. likes fancy stuff!! appreciates people’s good work and skills (and knows how to use them to his advantage).
Floyd: esfp (SeFi)-hyperactive, dives in head first, friendly, unpredictable
Jade: entp (NeTi)- i mean, he says he hates “pre-established harmony.” Likes to stir things up for fun, likes to watch people’s reactions.
Idia: istp (TiSe)- likes machines and picks them apart, can get competitive, avoids people on purpose because he doesn’t know how to act around others.
Kalim: estp (SeTi)- impulsive (keeps inviting people to join him out of the blue, and very persuasive at that), friendly, grand schemes (like parades and etc), very generous and tolerant.
Jamil: intj (NiTe)- just tired of everything but continues to work anyway, good at everything, very organized, seems like he’s plotting something in the shadows.
Riddle: istj (SiTe)-he has a rule book, nuff said.
Malleus: intp (TiNe)-obscure preferences, likes to get facts straight (again, it’s a gargoyle, not a grotesque), sentimental geek, “i don’t understand emotions”, but also wants to be invited to parties.
