snowfall
pairing: lando norris x best friend!reader
summary: when plans with your family fall through at the last minute, lando invites you to come home with him for the holidays. (3.8k)
a/n: the big finale!!! lando is so best friends to lovers coded, i couldnât resist. does it snow in the uk in december, probably not but itâs for the plot so bear with me pls <3 happy holidays everyone!!
âYeah, of course. Yes, mum, I understand. No, Iâll be fine, I promise. Okay. Okay, I love you too. Cheers, see you when you get back.âÂ
You end the call with a heavy sigh, tossing your phone away from you on the sofa.
That was your mum on the phone, telling you that her and your father wouldnât be home for Christmas this year. Youâd planned on going home to celebrate with them like you always do, but for the first time ever in your life, it looked like you were going to be spending Christmas alone.Â
It was bound to happen sometime in your life, really. Youâre an adult now, still trying to find your place and your people in this world.Â
Speaking of your people, Lando has just made his way into McLaren hospitality, head on a swivel until his eyes land on you. He takes notice of your downtrodden demeanor immediately, marches his way over to where you are with gusto and plops down next to you, bumping his shoulder against yours.Â
âWhatâs wrong?â He asks bluntly, dark brows furrowed in concern.Â
You inhale a deep breath, forcing a smile onto your face to respond. âNothing. How was testing?âÂ
âFine. Seriously, whatâs going on? Why do you look so sad?â He demands, but not unkindly or rudely. Just simply how Lando is with you, direct and to the point. Itâs one of many ways he is around those he cares for.Â
âI was planning on going home to spend Christmas with my family, but my parents arenât going to make it home in time,â You confess. Your finger picks at the loose thread of your sweater sleeve, a welcome distraction from the lump threatening to form in your throat.Â
Lando frowns. âOh. Mâsorry to hear that. That sucks.âÂ
âYeah. Looks like Iâll be spending the holidays on my own this year.â
âWhat? No, you canât spend Christmas alone. That sounds so sad.âÂ
âIâll be fine, Lando,â You chuckle, patting his knee. It does indeed sound sad, but you wonât have Lando all worried about you when he should be celebrating with his loved ones. Heâs got a lot to celebrate this year, and you donât want your situation to take away from any of it. âDonât worry about it.âÂ
âCome spend Christmas with me.âÂ
For a moment, youâre at a loss for words. Lando is one of your best friends, sure, but joining him for something like this seems too imposing of you. Despite being close with his family, you canât do this to them so last minute. After a long year, this is their time with Lando.Â
You shake your head immediately, wrinkling your nose. âNo way. I wouldnât want to barge in on your family time.â
âCâmon, you wouldnât be! My family loves you.â He shrugs. âI mean, youâre basically an honorary Norris already at this point, and I think my sisters might love you more than they love me.âÂ
That makes you laugh. âShut up, no they donât!âÂ
âUh, yeah they do.âÂ
âOkay, maybe they do. Iâm just that easy to love.âÂ
âYeah, you are,â He says, smiling softly. Your head cocks to the side at the pure warmth in his tone, and it seems to make him snap out of whatever trance heâs in, because he gives his head a subtle shake. âSeriously, come home with me. Itâll be fun. Way more fun than just sitting around at home watching those boring home improvement shows you seem to like so much.âÂ
âHey! Those shows are fun!â You huff, swatting him on the thigh.Â
âSure they are,â He says, still unbelieving. âSo what do you say? Christmas with the Norrises, how âbout it?âÂ
You let out a breathy chuckle, nodding. âOkay. Yeah, that sounds lovely.âÂ
âMint! Iâll go let my mum know.â He beams, bouncing to his feet. âBetter let Flo and Cisca know too, theyâd kill me if I brought you round and didn't tell them ahead of time.âÂ
âLando?â You call after him. He whirls around with an arched brow, phone already in hand. âThank you.âÂ
âOf course. Iâd never let you spend the holidays alone.â Â
Looks like this Christmas might not be so bad after all.Â
-------
The first thing you hear when you climb out of the car at Landoâs familyâs house is a shout of your name.Â
Before you can even register who might be calling you, a little body crashes into your legs, arms wrapping around your knees tightly. Now you know who it is, and you grin.Â
âWhy hello, miss Mila!â You chirp, kneeling down to be at her level. She giggles loudly at the finger you boop against her nose, throwing her arms around your neck as best she can, and you lift her up onto your hip. âAre you excited for Christmas?âÂ
âChristmas!â She cheers. Lando wanders over to the two of you from the boot of the car at that moment, and the second Mila spots him, she grins even wider than youâd thought was possible. âLala!!!â She squeals, reaching out for him.Â
Lando takes her into his arms, swings her around a little bit, beaming brightly at the peals of laughter that escape her with every swing. âMy goodness, youâve grown! You might be almost as big as me now!âÂ
Landoâs brother, Oliver, emerges from around the house now with his other daughter nestled in his arms, raising his free hand in greeting as he makes his way over.Â
âGuess my brother finally gathered the nerve,â He says cheerfully, clapping Lando on the back. Lando not-so-subtly steps on Oliverâs foot, garnering a hiss of pain from the older Norris. âToâŠmake it home when itâs still bright out! Yeah, he usually doesnât come around til the girls have gone off to bed.âÂ
âItâs nice to see you too, Oliver,â You chuckle, pushing aside your confusion as you give a small wave to the toddler in her fatherâs arms. She waves back shyly. âThanks for letting me join you guys this year.âÂ
âPlease, youâre welcome here anytime,â Oliver replies, sounding more than sincere. âCâmon, letâs head inside. Mum and everyoneâll be stoked to see you.âÂ
Mila wriggles out of Landoâs arms to come hold your hand, dragging you towards the house excitedly. You don't notice Lando and Oliver dropping back, nor the hushed conversation they have that is definitely about you.Â
Much like both boys have said, the rest of their family welcomes you with open arms.
His parents tell you how good it is to see you again, and that theyâre happy youâd decided to come home with Lando, Flo and Cisca glue themselves to your side immediately to catch up with you, even little Athena starts to warm up to you the longer she watches her older sister play with you.Â
You feel right at home with all of them like you always do, and it makes you start to forget about spending your first Christmas without your own family. Though, in a way, Landoâs family is starting to feel like yours too.Â
-------
Itâs Christmas Eve and you canât sleep. Youâve been at Landoâs house a few days now and everythingâs been greatâthe food, the company. Lando.Â
Youâre used to him being a little forward with his affections towards others, because thatâs just the way he is. So when he pulls your legs over his lap while youâre watching a holiday film with the whole family, or rests his head on your shoulder during Monopoly, you donât think anything of it at first. He likes cozying up to friends and being close to them. But as the days go on, it starts to feel different this time.Â
At first you just assume itâs because he doesnât want you to feel awkward, but then you catch him staring at you a few times in a way you can only describe as pure fondness. While you're on the sofa cuddled up with Mila and Athena watching one of their shows. As you're helping Cisca figure out what to wear for her next date with her boyfriend, or helping his mum in the kitchen.Â
It could be platonic, but it feels a little too intimate to be so.Â
You donât want to think too much into it, though. It wouldnât do you any good to get your hopes up about the possibility of something more with Lando when it could just be all in your head.Â
Sitting up in bed, you scrub your hands over your face. Too many thoughts run their way through your brain for you to fall back asleep, no matter how tired you may be. You glance out the window beside you, and suddenly your attention is captured at the scene outside.Â
Itâs snowing.Â
Sure, itâs an ungodly late hour, but seeing snow makes you want to go outside. Doing your absolute best not to wake anyone up as you swing yourself out of bed and creep down the hallway, you make your way down the corridor to Landoâs bedroom.Â
You knock on his door quietly, listening for anything that could give away whether or not Lando was up. For a few seconds, there isnât a sound. Then you hear the clacking of a keyboard and the faint sound of him talking, and you know heâs awake. He probably didnât hear you knock.Â
Pushing open the door slowly, you pad into the room to see him slouched over in his gaming chair with his back towards you.
âYeah, mate, Iâm gonna tell herâno, Iâm not! Fuck off,â He says. Thereâs a lengthy pauseâwhoever heâs on call with is talking, you assume. âIâm justâIâm waiting for the right time. Like, Iâll know when it comes, wonât I?âÂ
Your heart gives an involuntary pang in your chest and you sigh, having already had enough eavesdropping on this conversation.Â
You pad towards Lando, going for a gentle tap on the shoulder. Your hand just barely touches his arm, but he jumps about a foot in the air, flinching so hard you think the poor boy mightâve given himself whiplash.
âJesus! What theâdonât sneak up on me like that!â He yelps, pushing one side of his headphones above his ear. On the screen, you can see heâs playing Tarkov again. Alway playing Tarkov instead of sleeping, that boy.Â
This time, it works out for you. Now you can drag out into the snow with you. Not that you werenât going to do it anyways even if he was asleep.
âYou couldnât hear me! What was I supposed to do?â You huff. Squinting at the other username on screen, you smile, pushing into Landoâs space to reach his microphone. âIs that Max? Hi, Max!âÂ
Landoâs voice sounds a bit strangled when he relays Maxâs response a few moments later. âHe says hi.âÂ
âWhat else did he say?âÂ
âWhat? Nothing,â He replies quickly, swallowing hard. âWhy?âÂ
âThat was such a long pause, thereâs no way he just said hi.âÂ
âWell, he did, soâŠitâs whatever. Whatâs, uh, whatâs up? Everything okay?âÂ
Now you remember what you came here for. Grinning, you bounce on the balls of your feet. âThereâs snow outside!âÂ
âNo way!â He says earnestly, cocking his head to the side. He abandons his game in favor of shuffling over to the window and peering outside, letting out a pleased little noise when he sees that it is indeed snowing out in the garden. âThatâs wicked.â Â
âWill you come outside with me?âÂ
He exhales sharply, giving an amused chuckle. âYeah, right. Iâm not going outside.âÂ
âItâll be fun!âÂ
âDonât see whatâs so fun about freezing my ass off in the cold,â He grumbles, but you can tell he just needs a little more convincing. You jut out your lower lip, giving him the pout of yours that he can never seem to withstand, and his resolve starts to crumble. âNo, donât do that. Stop that right now. Iâm not going outside with you at this time of night.âÂ
âPlease, Lan?â You plead, taking his face into your palms so he canât look away. For a split second, his gaze seems to flicker down to your lips, but before you can process the tiny movement, heâs squeezing his eyes shut.Â
âOh my god, fine,â He groans, shoulders sagging. You beam, wrapping your arms around him in a quick hug. âLet me go tell Max Iâm being held against my will and then we can go.â He crosses back over to his desk and mutters something into the microphone that you canât quite make out.Â
As youâre pulling on layers to guard yourselves from the cold, he pauses, turning to you with one shoe on. âYou didnât, erm, happen to hear anything when you came in to get me, did you?âÂ
âNo, why?âÂ
Youâre not sure why you choose to lie about what youâd overheard, something about Lando telling some girl something at the right time. He hadnât told you anything about having a crush on anyone, but then again, these past few weeks have been hectic.Â
âOh, nothing. Just wondering.â He pulls the front door open right then, suddenly seeming so eager to get outside despite his previous grievances. Something in his tone hints that it might not be as nothing as he says it is, but you wonât push.Â
You traipse out into the garden after him, making careful sure to close the door behind you so the cold doesnât seep in. Fresh powder crunches underfoot as you make your way further out.Â
The falling snow has already begun to coat everything out here in layers, and you drag your finger through it, smiling to yourself at the clean cut line it makes.
It feels like another world out here. In a life that is so often always hustle and bustle all the time, the quiet of this time of night in the countryside seems deafening, but in the best way. Peaceful can only begin to describe how you feel right now.Â
âWhy is it so fucking cold out here?â Lando grumbles, burrowing deeper into his three scarves. Along with the two jumpers and thick coat heâd shoved himself into before even stepping foot outside, he looks well freezing.
âDonât be such a grinch, Lan. Itâs snowing!âÂ
He scowls. âItâs freezing.âÂ
âCâmon, at least try to have some fun! Youâre killing my vibe, mate,â You huff, bending down to scoop up a loose handful of snow to chuck in his direction. It scatters into the air before it even makes it to him, but hey, at least heâs laughing now. You turn to say something else, but youâre immediately stopped in your tracks.Â
A snowball explodes against your forehead before you can say a thing, spraying bits of icy snow everywhere.Â
âOh fuck, Iâm sorry!â Lando yelps, nearly tripping on his own feet in his scramble towards you. Youâre too stunned by the snow dripping its way down your face to even register his words. âI wasnât aiming for your face, I swear! Are you okay?âÂ
You blink owlishly at him, at the concern and horror mixing in his expression as he takes you by the shoulders to check you out. He uses his teeth to pull off one glove, tossing it off to the side as he reaches to brush the snow from anywhere he can reach.
âFor a professional athlete, you really do have shit aim,â You huff, playful annoyance in your tone.Â
Landoâs teeth dig into his bottom lip, eyes crinkling happily at the corners as he giggles quietly. âI know. Sâterrible, innit? Good thing my job doesnât require me to do any throwing.âÂ
âGood thing,â You echo.Â
His palms cup the expanse of your cheeks, the pads of his thumbs brushing across your cold skin delicately, and heâs looking at you in that way again, the way that makes you feel like youâre the only other one in the world. Blue-green eyes like sea glass flit around your face, thick brows furrowing ever so slightly as he inches forward. Slowly, like heâs giving you a way out if what heâs about to do isnât what you want.Â
Youâre holding your breath as he gets closer, closer, closer, untilâ
Fireworks.Â
As if kissing your best friend isnât cliche enough, all you can describe of the feeling of his lips against yours is fireworks, bursting in your chest like little explosions.Â
âWaitââ You breathe, splaying a hand across Landoâs chest to push him back a bit before the kiss can go on any longer. Despite how much you want it to continue. He makes some sort of displeased noise out the back of his throat, pink lips turning down into a pout. âWhat about the other girl?âÂ
That gets him to pull back a little more, head cocking and nose scrunching in genuine confusion. âWhat other girl?âÂ
âI lied. I did hear you talking when I came into your room, you said something about waiting for the right time to tell her something. You canât be kissing me if you like someone else, Lando!â You exclaim incredulously.Â
He regards you blankly for a few seconds. Then he starts to laugh. Youâre trying to save his ass and heâs laughing at you. You scowl at him. âWhy the fuck are you laughing?âÂ
âOh! Oh, that was so good! That was gold, really,â He splutters, tears in his eyes. You swat indignantly at him and he holds up his hands in surrender, doing his best to catch his breath. âThere is no other girl, you muppet! I was talking about you.âÂ
âOh.âÂ
âYeah, oh. Guess this is the right time then, huh?â He says, chuckling nervously as he rubs at his reddened nose. âSo, here goes it. I think Iâm in love with you.âÂ
âWhy?â You ask, disbelieving. Itâs a blunt response, youâre fully aware, but you want to know.Â
âWhat dâyou mean, why? Have you met you?â He scoffs, like heâs astonished you even have the nerve to question him. âYouâre amazing. Youâre kind and funny and so smart, and you make people happyâyou make me happy, even when Iâve had the absolute shittiest day, I know everythingâll be fine as soon as you find me. You know what I need, even when I donât know what I need.âÂ
Youâre at a loss for words hearing all this now. How has Lando been in love with you all this time, with you none the wiser?Â
âWhyâve you never said anything?â You ask softly.
Lando smiles almost sadly, letting his hands drop back down to his sides. âYouâre one of my best friends. Iâd rather keep my mouth shut if telling you meant losing you. Losing what we have because you didnât feel the same way.âÂ
That, you understand. The fear of ruining your friendship with Lando is one of the reasons why youâd kept your feelings for him secret as well. So to both of you, it was better to ignore your feelings and stay this close than to let the other know and possibly lose one of the best things in your lives.Â
âWeâre idiots,â You sigh, closing your eyes.Â
âYouâre not an idiot,â He says immediately. Then he frowns. âWait, why would you be an idiot? I know I am, but why you?âÂ
You grab Lando by the collar of his puffy jacket, pulling him into a firm kiss. If heâs surprised, it only shows for a split second before heâs kissing you back fervently, drawing you flush against him by the hips. His nose against your cheek is much colder than before, but the warmth that spreads from your chest down to your toes is more than enough to remedy it.Â
âPlease tell me that means you do feel the same way,â He pants, looking entirely dazed when you pull away.Â
You raise an amused brow at him. âNo, I just kissed the living daylights out of you because I donât feel the same wayâwhat do you think?âÂ
âBest Christmas gift ever, is what I think.â He smiles warmly. Then he shivers, blowing out a sharp breath. âNow can we please go back inside? I canât feel my face anymore.âÂ
Once youâre inside and have shed your coats and shoes and anything else wet with snow, Lando nudges you towards the kitchen. âIâll make us some hot cocoa.â He murmurs, quiet so as to not wake anyone in the house. You pause, causing him to look back at you. âWhat?âÂ
âThe package kind or the real kind?âÂ
âWhat sort of question is that? The real kind, of course,â He snorts. âWith milk and everything.âÂ
âOh, you do love me!â You say gleefully.
Lando rolls his eyes playfully, giving your hand a firmer tug that has you sliding right in under his arm on your socked feet.
Despite all his moaning and groaning about being cold, heâs pleasantly warm, and you sigh, nuzzling in closer. He welcomes your closeness, dropping a kiss to the side of your head as he shuffles his way towards the pots and pans cupboard with you latched onto him, not even trying to wriggle out of your grasp.
It feels natural because youâve always been close. Though now, things have changed. Now, you can kiss him if you want to, instead of wondering what Lando would do if you did it. Youâre not just friends to each other anymore.Â
You press your lips against his quickly as heâs piling marshmallows on top of two mugs of hot cocoa, pulling back right after just to see his reaction to the impromptu kiss.
As expected, his mouth curves into a grin, dimples on full display. He flicks a marshmallow at you, and you reciprocate, tilting your chin up at him in challenge.
Soon enough, now youâre both chucking the tiny white sweets at each other, trying and failing to catch them into your mouths. The first of you to catch one of them is you, and you cheer, flinging your hands in the air.Â
âOh my god, shush, you! People are sleeping!â He breathes, lunging forward to press a hand over your mouth as youâre mid-shout.
Your eyes widen in comical realization and it makes him laugh, which makes you laugh. His hand falls from your face as you both fall apart in quiet giggles.Â
Youâre laughing because heâs laughing, heâs laughing because youâre laughing, and neither of you can stop until your sides hurt.Â
âCâmere,â He murmurs, stepping in close and sliding a hand around the back of your neck. His gaze flits all around your face, taking in the sight of you with eyes that twinkle with happiness even in the darkness of the kitchen. "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Lan." You smile.
He kisses you then, long and sweet and with such gentleness that it makes your stomach do somersaults.Â
In the morning, youâll need to figure out how youâll play things with Landoâs family, and then everything after. But not now.
For now, youâll watch the snow fall outside while you snuggle up on the sofa with the boy you love and a mug of not so hot cocoa.Â
So maybe this Christmas hadnât gone exactly as youâd planned, but really, you arenât too sad about it anymore. You wouldnât have it any other way.Â

Happy holidays!
Summary: How the TWST boys spend the holidays with you
Characters: All NRC students
A/N: I'm finally back and with seasonal post. (May or may not have rushed the end) Anyways, enjoy!
Riddle Rosehearts:
Riddle doesnât invite you over for the holidays. He does NOT want you to meet his mom. So instead, he spends the holidays with you before he has to go home. Heâll buy you a present, make food (With Treyâs help) and then set up the decorations. Heâll celebrate the holidays with you before he has to go home. And heâll make sure that you have the best time ever.
Trey Clover:
Trey will invite you over. Not only will it allow you to meet his family, but youâll also be able to celebrate together. Heâll take you home to meet his family, go shopping for presents, set up decorations, and bake some desserts. His family bakery closes when the holidays arrive. They celebrate like most families do during the holidays (With a little more desserts). And Trey makes sure that you have the best holiday celebration ever.
Cater Diamond:
He is going to give you the best celebration ever. He doesnât want to invite you over because he doesnât really want his family to meet you yet, but if you insist that he does, he will. He just has a complicated relationship with his sisters. No matter when or where you celebrate, heâll still set up the best celebration ever. And heâll give you the best present you could imagine. Heâs going to do whatever he can to see you smile and laugh and just be happy. You matter to him, after all.
Ace Trappola:
Doesnât really invite you over, he just tells you that youâre coming over. âYouâre coming to my place for the holidays,â and then just leaves. Thanks for the heads up, Ace. He will make sure that you want to go. Heâs not gonna force you. Youâll get to meet his family and celebrate with them. His brother takes you two presents shopping, youâll all make food together, and just have a good time. (Aceâs brother gives you baby pictures of Ace and tells you to keep it a secret.)
Deuce Spade:
Of course, heâs inviting you over. You already met his mom and she would be delighted to have you over. Dylla tells him to invite you over, and he does. Sheâs going to have the house all decorated. She hangs up lights all over the house and everything. Sheâll give both of you money to buy gifts (it doesnât matter if you have your own money.) Sheâll make food and everything. This is gonna be your best holiday if she has a say in it. (This isnât a holiday with Deuce, it's a holiday with Dylla.)
Leona Kingscholar:
Youâre not coming over, because heâs not going home. Not even Neji can drag him home. You two are gonna spend the holidays at Savanaclaw. Heâs just gonna stay in bed the entire holiday until he needs to get you a present. Heâll order food and you guys can eat, exchange presents, and go to sleep. Heâs a simple guy.
Ruggie Bucchi:
He invites you over, and uses your extra hands to carry more food. Heâs getting as much from the school as he can to take it home and youâre just extra hands. But he also does want you to come with him. Youâll get to meet his grandma and the kids in his neighborhood. They all love you. Heâs feeding everybody and you. The food is his gift.
Jack Howl:
He invites you to his place for the holidays. Heâs excited to spend the holidays with you and introduce you to his family. His siblings and parents love you. His siblings are always attached to you and asking all about you. His family makes a great meal and tells you all the stories they have about Jack. He ends dinner early when they get to the embarrassing stories.
Azul Ashengrotto:
He canât go home. And you would get hypothermia if you went to his home during Winter. He invites you to the Mostro lounge and itâs all decorated. He and Floyd make an amazing meal and set up a whole feast in the Mostro lounge. They have to push a bunch of tables together to lay it all out. You eat, exchange presents, and just enjoy each other's presence. And at the end of the night, Azul will offer to let you stay over and sleep in his room. And if you agree, the tweels crash it and you spend the rest of the night binge watching so-bad-theyâre-good movies and playing board games.
Jade Leech:
He canât go home #2. Beware this one. Heâll show up at your dorm in hiking gear. Holiday hiking, what could be more romantic? No matter how against it you are, youâll somehow end up hiking up a snowy mountain. Donât worry, if you get cold, heâll warm you right up. And then youâll hike back down and drop into the Mostro lounge where Azul and Floyd already have all the food laid out. Youâll feast and then heâll offer to walk you back to your dorm. And by the end of the night, he leaves you with a small present. And inside is a terrarium made specifically for you.
Floyd Leech:
He canât go home #3. The moment you wake up, Floyd bursts into your dorm, oozing with holiday cheer. He drags you around the entire campus, doing everything he finds fun. Heâll start a snowball fight with you, steal your jacket and tease you for shivering, and whatever other fun activities he can think of. And then he convinces you to make and gather as many snowballs as you can for a small little prank. And then youâre bursting into the Mostro Lounge and pelting Azul and Jade with all the snowballs you both gathered. And at the end of the night, he falls asleep with you in his arms.
Kalim Al-Asim:
He is inviting you over as soon as he can. He canât wait to introduce you to his siblings and parents and cousins and aunts and uncles and-. He especially canât wait to spend the holidays with you. Heâll make this the best holiday youâve ever had. Heâll buy you the best gift you ever got. He makes sure you have the best meal youâve ever eaten. He is going to make sure that when you think of the holiday you spent with him, you smile.
Jamil Viper:
He originally did not consider bringing you home. Even if he did, heâd be busy setting up and babysitting Kalim. But Kalim takes it upon himself to invite you, and Jamilâs not going to complain. Heâs happy to have you with him, but heâs so swamped with work that you barely see him. But every chance he gets, heâll spend his time with you, talking, laughing, hugging. It might not be much, but at the end of the night, you and him get alone time in his room where you exchange presents and fall asleep together.
Vil Schoenheit:
Of course heâs inviting you home for the holidays. His dad would love to meet you, and he would hate to leave you alone for the holidays. He makes sure you have an amazing time with him and his dad. He gets you an amazing present, cooks you a great meal, decorates the house as best as he can. He wants to make sure that next year, youâll agree to come back. And his dad gives you baby photos and Vil graciously accepts all your âcute babyâ comments.
Rook Hunt:
He invites you home for the holidays. Which home? He wonât tell. He introduces you to his siblings and parents who all love you (And seem surprisingly normal??). He takes you shopping which ends up turning into people watching with him. He tells you that he and his family can do all the prep if you donât want to. And the whole time itâs strangely domestic. Rook is acting normally for once. Not hunting anybody or even talking about hunting. Him and his family are joking around and sharing laughs. And that night, Rook makes sure that you fall asleep in his arms, safe and sound.
Epel Felmier:
Of course heâs going to invite you home for the holidays. If he didnât, his meemaw would scold him. And he wants you there with him anyways, so it works out. He has a whole winter outfit made for you too. He shows you around, takes you shopping, tells his neighbors about his amazing partner. Heâs going to make sure that you have a good time. Thereâs a meal, gift giving and of course he gives you a kiss on the cheek as he hands you the present he got you. And that night, he falls asleep with you smiling like the cat that caught the canary.
Idia Shroud:
Heâs very apprehensive about inviting you home. He doesnât think itâs because you wonât like it, he just isnât sure about his parents meeting you. But Ortho convinces him, so he texts you (itâs easier) about coming to his place for the holidays. Naturally, his parents love you. His dad is a little sceptical on why youâre dating Idia, but loves you all the same. His mom and Ortho decide to make this holiday extra special for you. They have extra decorations, extra food, extra presents, extra family bonding! And by the end of it, Idiaâs social battery is drained but at least he can recharge in your arms that night.
Malleus Draconia:
He would never leave you alone for the holidays. Not to mention, heâs clingy. So he invites you home and introduces you to his grandma. Sheâs a little wary about you being human, but comes around after seeing how happy Malleus is. And then he takes you to Liliaâs house to actually celebrate. Silver and Sebek cook the food while Baur (who was apprehensive when he met you)Â and Malleus keeps Lilia out of the kitchen. Itâs a small space but not cramped. Everyone eats, talks, laughs. And at the end of the day, everyone goes their separate ways. And Malleus gets to fall asleep with you. He couldnât think of a better way to celebrate.
Lilia Vanrouge:
Heâs inviting you over to his and Silverâs little cottage in the woods. Itâs small, sure, but itâs very cozy. Lilia gives you a tour (that only takes 3 seconds). And then Sebek, his grandfather, and Malleus come over to celebrate with you. You and Baur work together to keep Lilia out of the kitchen while Silver and Sebek cook. You all eat, exchange presents and talk. And near the end of the night, you found Lilia outside alone. He smiles at you and thanks you for becoming part of his family.
Silver Vanrouge:
Lilia insists that he invites you over so he does (and falls asleep after you say yes). He shows you around the cottage he grew up in and even shows you some things he still has from his childhood. He and Sebek cook food while everyone talks and laughs together. Itâs a good night. Just happy and domestic. And Silver wouldnât have it any other way. He loves his family, and that includes you.
Sebek Zigvolt:
Yells his invite. Everyone knows that he invited you over. He introduces you to his siblings, parents, and grandfather. Most of them love you, but you can never be sure about Baur. Heâll do nice things but brush it off as you not being able to do it because youâre a human. His father and mother love you. And his father feels especially connected to you for being the only other full human there. You have a small celebration at Liliaâs house and then go back to Sebekâs to celebrate with his family. And it couldnât be more perfect to him.

The secret is out (Aaron Hotchner x fem!BAU!reader)
summary: You and Hotch have been dating for half a year in secret. When the team decides it's time to help Spencer ask you out during the Christmas dinner you host for them, Hotch realizes that it might be time to tell the truth.
note: Takes place after Hotch's divorce, but before Haley's death.
The whole Christmas dinner is the result of a chain reaction. You invited Penelope, who invited Derek, who invited Spencer, who invited JJ, who invited Emily, who invited Dave, and finally, Dave invited Hotch. And to make things worse, this time there is a planâthe plan to help Spencer make the first move and finally ask you out.Â
When Dave tells Hotch about it in the car on the way to the dinner, he smiles and acts like itâs adorable. Normally, it would be exactly that. They all love Spencer, they all want him to be happy, but considering Hotch only left your apartment this morning, he isnât the right person to ask for help with this. This only makes him wonder if you should make your relationship official, if you should tell the team that the two of you have been seeing each other for over half a year now.Â
âThe early birds,â you say with a warm smile when you open the door and let them inside.
Dave glances down at his watch for a brief moment, then, as he walks past you, he speaks up. âI guess it means weâre the first ones.â When you hum in agreement, he stops and turns to look at the other man. âI told you weâre gonna be way too early.â
It takes every ounce of willpower not to tell him it wasnât his idea to come together. Heâs here exactly when he wanted to arrive, itâs not his fault that Dave decided to tag along. With a forced smile, he shrugs and shows you the two bottles of wine he brought as a gift. âIs there a wine cooler somewhere?â he asks casually.
You close the closet where you put their coats, then turn back to nod. âMy parents love wine, so of course they have one,â you reply with a short laugh. âNot like they were alcoholics, they just⊠you know.â Hotch has to fight hard to keep his emotions in check, but you notice. You always notice. âOh, sure, Iâll lead the way,â you say, signaling him to follow you.Â
Since you made sure Dave was occupied with the photos in the living room, you quickly take the bottles from Hotch to put them in the cooler, then return to him with a seductive smile. âI missed you.â He leans closer, his lips almost touching yours as he speaks, knowing perfectly well this most probably makes your heart rate jump. âIâm sorry, Dave insisted on coming with me.â
âItâs okay,â you assure him with a loving smile.
These are one of those rare occasions when Hotch can loosen up, getting lost in the moment, so he doesnât hesitate to close the gap and kiss you gently, letting his arm sneak around your waist as he pulls you closer. He knows he has to warn you, and he knows you should know how he feels about that plan, but itâs so good to have you like this again. Youâre like a drug, and he loves the high you give him, and each time he tastes your lips, he just knows you should make your relationship official.
As stupid as it is, he wants to let everyone know that youâre his, he wants to mark his territory, and if he has to face the wrath of his team for hiding something like this, so be it. Because whenever he sees you interact with his son, he knows this is what he wants, and not just with Jack, but with a child thatâs yours entirely. This is whatâs been on his mind lately, and the thought is driving him crazy.
âThereâs something I want to discuss with you,â he speaks up as he pushes a strand of hair behind your ear.
But before he could go on, you hear Dave clear his throat in the door, and when you both turn to look at him, heâs watching you with a knowing smile. âI wanted to tell Hotch we left the gifts in the car, but I guess Iâll bring them in myself since heâs busy at the moment,â he announces teasingly.Â
Hotch lets you go and takes a step closer to his colleague. âDave, I can explain,â he says, knowing he should give an explanation. After all, heâs your boss, youâre a lot younger, and he just agreed to help Spencer ask you out a good half an hour ago. It probably doesnât look good from the outside.Â
Smiling, Dave shoves his hands into his pockets. âNo need to explain, Iâve seen enough. The best you can do now is laying your cards on the table when weâre all together. Spencer really likes her, and tonight everyone will be doing their best to get them together. Just be honest,â he tells the two of you, then turns around to leave the house.
You wrap your arms around his body and bury your face into his chest, and he lets out a sigh before placing a kiss on the top of your head. âHeâs right, we need to tell them,â he says softly, leaning back just enough to look you in the eye.Â
âOkay,â you agree weakly.Â
For a few moments you watch him with those big, doe eyes, which brings back his earlier thoughts. âThereâs something I want to tell you before Dave returns,â he begins, his voice carrying the kind of uncertainty and vulnerability that he only allows to have around you. When you hum to make him continue, he exhales slowly to prepare himself. âI would like to have another child. With you.â
At first, you donât react at all, as if the statement completely froze your brain. But then you slowly blink at him, your lips slightly parting as you take a breath. âA baby?â you ask quietly, earning a nod in response.Â
âI know we havenât been together for that long, but I know that I love you. Sure, we donât have to start the baby project right away, I understand if youâre not ready,â he assures you.
A sweet smile slowly appears on your lips as you stand on your toes to place a soft kiss on his cheek. âI love you too, Aaron. And maybe having a little kid together isnât such a bad idea,â you say kindly. But then the sweet smile shifts into a wicked one. âCan you stay the night? I hate to be alone in this stupidly big house, and I think Iâll be too lazy to drive home after dinner.âÂ
Thereâs something else, something youâre not telling him, and it takes him a moment to realize what it is. âOh, wait, you meanâŠ? Tonight?â he asks, unable to hide the confusion that slowly mixes with excitement.Â
With an adorable giggle, you take his hand and lace your fingers. âWhy not? Unless you have better plans,â you add, looking up at him through your lashes.Â
âIf youâre serious about this, I wonât have better plans until we have a positive test,â he states before kissing you again.
âI think theyâre looking for glasses in the kitchen.â
Hotch is quick to step away from you, grateful that Dave gave you a chance to find an excuse for being there alone. So, without much hesitation, you point at a cabinet and then move to another where your parents keep the coffee mugs. He takes out enough glasses for everyone, then heads to the dining room with them. He can see JJ and Dave discussing something, and she flashes a smile at him when their eyes meet.
âSheâs in the kitchen?â JJ asks him, to which he replies with a nod. âIâll see if she needs more help then.â
When she disappears, Hotch stands in front of Dave with an uncertain look on his face. âThanks for the warning. We discussed this whole thing, and weâll tell the team once everyoneâs here. This is for the best,â he says.Â
The other man lets out a short breath with an amused smile, but he doesnât say a wordânot yet. But then, at the moment they hear a car stopping, followed by the sound of a cheerful conversation, he finally opens his mouth to speak. âYouâll have to talk to HR about this.â Hotch nods. Heâs painfully aware of that conversation. âBut you both look happy, and if youâre both happy, Iâm happy too.â
A sigh of relief escapes his lips upon hearing this. Itâs good. You have at least one person in your corner.Â
Within a matter of seconds the remaining guests appear, smiling happily as they balance the wrapped gifts in their hands. Once the newcomers settle down, Hotch shepherds everyone into the living room, deciding that this is the perfect time to make the announcement, before the little schemers set their plan into motion. You look a little uncertain, but he doesnât want to let you feel like that. He stands next to you, but he avoids physical contact for now.Â
âThereâs something I wanted to tell you all before we sit down to eat up all the food our generous host prepared,â he begins, and out of the corner of his eye he can see you roll your eyes. âYou know me, you know I usually respect the regulations, but a few months ago I crossed a line I shouldnât have. Donât get me wrong, I donât regret it, and I donât want to stop after this conversation weâre having now. I just wanted you to all know that we started to date a few months ago,â Hotch says as he wraps an arm around your waist to pull you closer.Â
Surprise, surprise, a little more surprise, and then thereâs the look of betrayal on Spencerâs face. He avoids your gaze, and he doesnât look at his boss either, but thatâs okay, he didnât expect him to start cheering. This might be tough for him, but heâll get over it for sure. But the others soon turn supportive; they start to tease them, they come up with jokes, and some even begin to dig deeper to get some more details out of you two. You quickly loosen up enough to answer them, but Hotch doesnât let you do the talking alone, heâs staying by your side the whole time to support you.Â
Youâre a little team of two now. Hopefully, youâll be the mother of his youngest child in the future. Itâs his duty to always protect you.

Always in your corner
âYou know that Chan would truly always be in your corner and you hope he knows youâll always be in his. Neither of you asked to be born to parents who had no care in the world but at least the two of you had each other.â

WARNINGS: Parents who donât care(?)
PAIRING: Older Brother Chan x Younger Sibling Reader
WORD COUNT: 2.1K+
EXTRA INFO: Angst(?)/comfort, Christmas, Cringy Frozen reference, Life Advice from Older Brother, âBabyâ used as a term on endearment in a âomg youâre literally a babyâ way. SAFE FOR WORK ONLY!!!
A/N: Happy Christmas to those who celebrate and in general Happy Holidays to all!! As always, sorry for any mistakes, my english writing skills are NOT the best, I try to look over it and make sure everything makes sense to an outsider perspective of someone who ISNâT in my head but yk how it can beđ©· hehe i hope u like it!!! (can u tell what kind of issues I may haveâŠ)
Every Christmas since Chan started college whenever heâd come back, youâd be there, ready to greet him with a hug and some sort of small âwelcome homeâ gift. Christmas was probably the only time in the year year you got to see each other with how busy you both were; you being in high school and Chan attending college, working his ass off to get his degree. You and your brother couldnât even see each other during the summer holidays-your parents sent you off on exchanges to other countries, so far, youâve been to Spain, France and Italy (twice), and your other breaks from school just never lined up. Safe to say Christmas was like a blessing. An opportunity for two siblings to reunite.
So, this year when Chan got out of your dadâs car after a very awkward three hour long ride from the airport and walked into the house and wasnât met with you he was surprised, disappointed even.
âWhere is she?â, he asked as your mother came out of the living room. She rolled her eyes as if the mere question was a bother and replied simply
âProbably moping around in her bedroom againâ. Chan frowned. You? Moping around? That didnât sound like you. âWhat do you mean?â, he questioned.
âYour sister is just going through an emotional phaseâbut honestly she needs to get over it, at her age she should be able to just get up and move through it.â, your father spoke up and Chan watched in mild disgust as your mother nodded along.
Your parents made it abundantly clear before that they never wanted kids and yet somehow ended up with the two of you because of societal pressure but at least years ago they would at least pretend to be concerned parents. Now that Chan was a young adult and moved out and you were a teenager they probably didnât see the need to.
âIâm going to go up thenâ, he announces. Your parents shrug, mumbling a quick âdo whateverâ before retreating back into the living room.
Meanwhile, Chan hauled his suitcase and bag up the stairs, dropped them off into his room (that definitely needs to be dusted down) and went to your room at the end of the hall, on the right. He smiled seeing the pink, bedazzled wooden sign on the door to your room with your name on itâhe remembers watching you make it all those years ago and likes to see you havenât taken it down yet.
In Chanâs head, youâre not just a regular set of siblings, although he only is almost seven years older than you, he always felt an almost paternal instinct with you.
He had a huge part in raising you and as much as he hates to admit it for purposes of being too sappy and cringeâhe hates that you are growing up so quick. He sometimes wishes you were a kid again and often finds himself reminiscing all the tea-parties he was forced to attend, all the times heâs sat over you helping you with simple maths sums while he had an essay to do, all the extravagant games you two used to make up as something to do while your parents were working.
God he misses it. And he would pay so much money to get to relive it, because even without the regular caring parents who are involved in their child's life-watching you grow up all over again would be worth so much more.
Chan snaps out of his thoughts and regains his composure before knocking on the door gently.
âY/N, itâs meâcan I come in?â. Heâs about to open the door and enter when it opens in his face, and there you are, wearing a comfy set of clothes.
Chan takes your appearance in and notices immediately that you lookâŠnot like you. The light that normally shines in your eyes is dimmed, there are bags under your eyes and your normally well kept hair is disheveled.
âY/NâŠâ, he starts but you cut him off with a hug.
âChannieâ, you murmur in a soft voice. âIâm sorry I wasnât ready this year.â
Oh the way you sound so defeated breaks his heart. âY/N babyâitâs okay, donât worry about it.â
âI swear I knew when dad was picking you up and I had everything planned and stuff and then I got distracted and everything I planned just went out the window-â
âY/N. Itâs fine.â, Chan reassured, pulling back from the hug but keeping a firm hold on your shoulders. âLetâs talk?â
You nod at him and let him into your room, closing the door behind him. He flops down onto your bed and pats the spot beside him. âCome on overâ.
You donât hesitate and take your spot next to your brother. Words canât describe how grateful you are that youâre not the only child in this fucked up family and that Chan is here. Every christmas is a blessing in your eyes because heâs here, a family member who cares.
His arm wraps around your shoulder and he pulls you in closer to him, pushing your head down to rest on his chest. âThere, just like when you were a babyâ.
âYou mean a kid?â
âFine, just like when you were a kidâ, he states again, although in his head you will always be a âbabyâ.
âOh please, when I was a kid you were just a teenagerâ, you scoff but donât make the effort to move.
âYeah but you still clung to me like a koala, so my point still stands.â
âOkay fine..â
âYouâre still clingyâ, he teases, when you donât give your usual sarcastic response he clears his throat and starts speaking in a softer, more serious tone. âMom said youâre âmoping aroundâ..wanna tell me about that?â
âThings have just beenâŠutter shitâ, you respond simply.
âUtter shit?â, he questions, prompting you to further explain as he starts to run his fingers through your, messy, hair.
âI justâŠI feel like Iâm stuck in time. Everyone else around me is moving on and Iâm stuck in this spot. All my friends are starting to go to all sorts of house parties and get drunk off their heads, in school they keep shoving down future career paths down our throats and in general thereâs just more and more work to be done ever single day...even mom and dad are talking about having me move out soon since technically itâs legal for me to move out after I turn sixteenâbut Iâm just, I donât want to do any of that. I want to just be a kid for a little longer. In my head Iâm still like eleven or like twelveâIâm not ready for all of this, I donât want to be ready for all of this!â, you start rambling, your words flowing out quickly, as if youâve been waiting to say all of this to someone.
âI seeâ, Chan responds. âI thinkâŠand hear me out, I think youâre just craving a normal childhood-one where you werenât basically left to fend for yourself.â
You nod and he feels itâs safe to continue.
âYou donât want to grow up because you already feel like you have been at a higher maturity level since you were learning your ABCâs..â.
âHow do you know exactly how to put this into simple words?â
âBecause I know exactly how you feel. You know, I suppose when you were born I not only had to fend for myself, but also for youâand I do not hold it against you Y/N, you are the best thing that couldâve happened to me. I think if I was an only child in this family I wouldâve gone insane.â You both giggle at his words but you both know heâs right. You know especially now in his absence that living in this house by yourself is not a nurturing and caring environment.
Chan continues speaking, âSo you could say that from a young age I was acting like I was in my 30âs, taking care of myself, you, teaching you life lessons while learning them myself..and when it came to actually being a grown up..I didnât want to do it because I felt like I already have been doing it. I wanted to just be able to I donât knowâŠplay around with fucking legos or just go to the beach and build as many sandcastles as I desire, I wanted to reverse time and somehow get our parents to care for us and give the both of us the childhood we deserve. I still want that. I still wish that there was a switch I could flip and suddenly theyâll be asking more than the ârequiredâ mundane questionsâŠbutâŠâ, he trails off with a sigh.
ââŠThat canât happenâ, you say. âMhm, it canât. So, trust me when I say that I understand how you feel.â
âHow did you get over it?â, you ask.
âWell..it does turn out that adult life is a bit more complicated so I had to figure that out..but to heal my inner child..I did exactly what I wanted to, I realised that because I was an adult, no one could actually stop me from building sandcastles at the beach, or spending my first entire real pay check on all the lego sets I wanted and building them allâ.
âDid it help?â
âHonestly, yeah. I gave myself what our parents couldnât..or well wouldnât and I felt much better about myself.â He pokes your arm, laughing a bit âJust donât spend your first entire pay check on lego. Iâll teach you how to be smarter with money.â
âI feel bad you have to teach me these things.â
âDonât. I want to.â, Chan replies. âThe only reason I didnât completely cut contact with mom and dad after I moved out was so I could see you like this, so I could continue to parent you because..you have so much potential Y/N..and our parents donât provide you with an environment to encourage that kind of growth, they just want you to grow up and move out so they can be at peace, but I want you to thrive. I want you to be prepared and ready for whatever life throws at you. I want to encourage you in everything. I just want to help you. Make sure you have it better than anyone else..â. Chanâs words make you feel a pang in your chest, you close your eyes and slow your breathing, feeling his heartbeat as his fingers comb through your hair.
âObviously, since you seem to be so nervous, Iâll tune my coaching down to a slower place, we can take this one small step at a timeâ.
âThank you Channie. Really.â, you reply. âMom and dad are no help at allâŠlike no help. They just want me out of here.â
âI knowâŠbut itâs okay, youâll figure yourself out, youâll figure out what you want to do with your life, in your own time and Iâll be here in your corner supporting you every step of the way and teaching you things and wellâŠeverything I already saidâ, Chan reassures, patting your arm.
âNowâŠwhat ifâŠwe go and build a snowman or something?â, he suggests.
âA snowman?â, you laugh and sit up, meeting his eyes.
âWhat? Itâll be fun! I promise!â, Chan exclaims, âCome on donât be a loser! Just come build a snowman with me!!â
âWhat you need me to sing it for you??â, he clears his throat. âDo you want to build a snowman? Come on letâs go and play-â
Itâs only when you start laughing he does too. God when Frozen came out you both went through a terrible phase where you were obsessed with the movie..and when the second one came out god it all came back again.
âOkay Annaâletâs go build a snowmanâ.
Thatâs how your day ends. The two of you building multiple snowmen in the green in your estate (while your parents sat inside, oblivious to what their kids are doing). And honestly, you wouldnât have traded it for the world.
You know that Chan would truly always be in your corner and you hope he knows youâll always be in his. Neither of you asked to be born to parents who had no care in the world but at least the two of you had each other.
a/n: hope you liked this! i had to rush the ending a bit because I wanted it to be done by at least Christmas day so apologies!!!
p.s: if you have any reqs, feel free to ask!! just keep it sfw!!!

I love the way Dorian and Ashton both talk to the Arch Heart.
Because Ashton is hell bent on dragging them down to their level. Ashton wants every bastard with a superiority complex to feel a boot on the neck for just a moment. It doesn't matter if that person has more money, more magic, or infinite power. They would be no where without the people they're standing on. The workers they exploit, the libraries they study, the worship they receive. All that power comes from the collective, the little guy. And Ashton wants all of them to come down to earth and fucking see who they've been using for the first time.
While Dorian is still stuck on the narrative that mortals are their children. You don't give birth to things that are not of you, or are completely different than you. Dorian keeps hearing "we're like you". He keeps hearing about the fear of mortality and the bonds of family. He knows that the gods and mortals are the same. And he's hell bent on reminding them that they are equals. If they weren't the same species: how could they come so close to godhood? How could a mortal become a god? Dorian speaks to the gods with no reverence, no policing of his tone. Because as they sit at the Arch Heart's table, with fake food and fake wood and fake bounty, they are equals. They are both in the same position. Dorian Storm does not think himself a god. He just knows the Gods are the same as them. Him and the Arch Heart both create and revel in beauty. Of course one gave to the other. But everyone must have a teacher. And there will always come a time where the teacher and the student can play a duet in such harmony no one can decipher who once taught who.
#silver sending stones#cr spoilers#cr 3 e 107#dorian storm#ashton greymoore#i wanted yo say more about dorian thinking they equals but my prose will always be purple#but i really do thing dorian thinks theyre equals#he speaks to them like he think thwyre equals#and again i dont think dorian thinks hes a god.#he saw a fucked up family trying to save themselves and he related#because the gods. if we are to look at it from their perspective. were defending themselves.#would we blame other people for trying to protect themselves?#the answer is yes we would blame them#but also nauce cant be that dead#ANYWAYS. the point of that all is that i think dorian thinks theyre all on the same level#like a teacher and a student#a parent and a child#because there will always come a time where you are forced to see your parents as just a man or just a woman.#and i think dorian is there#dorian is seeing his celestial parents as just people.#powerful people sure#but just. people.

BAKUGOU KATSUKI â° 5:48
Bakugouâs in his third year of high school when he finally invites you over to his house. The reason? To finish a calculus project.
Youâd think that after surviving through the hardships of being a hero-in-training together for three years, saving each otherâs lives (more often you were the one being saved than doing the saving, really), and whatnot, he wouldâve invited you sooner to his home (one could dream).
But this was Bakugou, after all.
And he knew that something was off the moment he left you to share a conversation with his mom while he went to get his books from his roomâthe greatest mistake he could have ever done because by the time heâs making his way back, Bakugou could hear you snickering to yourself.
Not a good sign.
âIâm not going to lie; you looked hideous when you were a baby,â you say, reading through Bakugouâs baby album.
Bakugou froze. He had absolutely no idea why his mother would cave in and give you the godforsaken album from when he was young, but of course she wouldâve agreed with your request to see it if you did so much as mention it.
He dropped the books heâd grabbed from on top of his desk on top of the living room table before whipping his attention towards you, an indignant scoff escaping through his nose before he took a few slow, but heavy stomps over to youâpractically snatching the album from your grasp when heâs within reach.
âStop looking through those stupid pictures.â
âHey! I wasnât finished,â you reply with a frown. âYouâre lucky my phoneâs battery just died, or else I wouldâve taken a billion photos.â
Bakugouâs jaw clenched slightly as he grumbled curses under his breath, trying to flip through the album in his hands to make sure you hadnât managed to sneak a photo outâa small sigh of relief rolling off of his tongue to find that, luckily, it was still how his parents had done it.
He shot a glare over towards you, stuffing the album back into its original spot on one of the bookshelves, his nose crinkling as he shoved his hands into his pockets.
âDonât care; tell anyone what you saw, and youâll drop dead,â he tells you.
âOh, but how could I not? That photo albumâs like hitting the jackpotâso many super ultra rare photocards of you,â you gushed, blatantly disregarding his usual threat. âCome on, I wanna see the rest!â
âAbsolutely not.âÂ
Bakugou knew the damn photos were in the back of the album. There were probably a handful of the ones where he was in the bathtub, butt-nakedâa common photo in most photo albums heâs seen, at least. Other photos include when he was three years old and wore an All Might onesie for his birthday, pictures of him during his school recital where he was the prince, him with a bald haircut, and so much more blackmail material.Â
It was humiliating, for goodness sake! And he knew youâd just tease him mercilessly if you saw it.
Youâll never let him live it down, so itâs best to deprive you of it.
âDonât come at me for saying this, but I was the cutest baby in our village back then,â you told him proudly. âHad the roundest cheeks and brightest smile, trust.â
Bakugou rolled his eyes, a huff of air forcing itself past his lips. That was one thing about you that he couldnât stand; you were so full of yourself most of the timeâyouâd always been like that, and he absolutely loathed it. It could be that it reminds him of himself, so the competitive meter on his head just flares whenever heâs around you.
âI doubt you were even 1% of how adorable I was as a baby.â
âHave you seen me?â you gestured to your face with your hands to emphasize your facial features.Â
âIâm still as cute even now. And no offense, Bakugou,â you giggled, âyou looked like a wrinkly raisin on your first few days on this Earth.â
Bakugouâs smirk dropped. Heâd almost forgotten that you had seen the stupid pictures already.
âShut the hell up. It wasnât that bad.â He muttered quietly, his hands balling into frustrated fists. His parents always assured him that he was a cute kid when he was smallâbut to hear that YOU of all people, are in disagreement with that is just aggravating.
âFine, fine. Quits it is,â you hum. âLetâs do that calculus project so I can get home before sunset.â
Bakugou grumbled something inaudible under his breath, reluctantly nodding his head in agreement. There was no point in arguing about something so idioticâafter all, both of you were there to get a project done, not to sit around and bicker about his past.
He took a few steps over to the living room table before plopping down on the polished floor ungracefully, yanking out his notes before he gestured his hand over towards the free space next to him.
âSit down. Letâs just get this thing done and over with already.â
Bakugou had already started working silently by the time you sat down; his hand was writing almost furiously as he copied equations onto his paper. He kept his attention focused on his notes, trying to stay quiet as he focused completely on completing the project.
He eventually stopped writing for a moment, turning his gaze over to glance at what you were doing before clicking his tongue at the sight. Bakugou could already see a few mistakes youâd made with your work.
âYouâre doing it wrong,â he says.
âWait, Iâve barely turned on the calculator, jeez.â You shook your head, solving the equation through your calculator.
âAnd thatâs how I know youâre doing it wrong.â Bakugou huffed, shaking his own head in disappointment.Â
âFormula first before adding 1.3.â
He pulled out a pen and began scribbling down on his own paper, glancing at yours every once in a while to compare the work. He knew from his experience that you were decent at math (heâd rather die than tell you that), but this was just pitiful even by your standards.
âHave you been dozing off during Ectoplasmâs class?â
âOuch. Do you have a personal grudge against keeping the not-so-nice stuff from leaving your mouth?â you sigh. âYouâre hurting my feelingsâ Iâm devastated.â
He had a feeling youâd say something like that, and he was prepared to ignore your attempts at gaining sympathy from him.
âUnfortunately, youâll fucking live,â Bakugou says, scribbling down the last of his work before turning it towards you. âAnd learn how to solve equations too, while youâre at it.â
âI know how to do it; calm down.â You huff, rewriting your solutions.
Bakugou raised a skeptical eyebrow, his head tilting with a hint of disbelief. Even if he knew you were capable of doing math, you had a bad habit of missing even the smallest details, like the operation to be used in your work, leading to the wrong answers.
His eyes scanned over the work youâd written on your paper before letting out a small huff. âLooks right. Are you done with your half?â
âYep, yep. Are you going to write it down on our answer sheet, or should I do it?â you offered.
Bakugou glanced down at the answer sheet set to the side before picking it up and nodding. He was already holding a pen while you were still using a pencil, so it would make more sense for him to be the one to write it all down.
He began copying down the answers slowly and carefully, each number being written out with ease as his eyes flicked back and forth from the worksheet to the sheet of answers.
With him busy jotting down the answers, you occupied yourself with taking in the interior of his living room. It was beautiful, neat, and just screamed richânot really what you expected (you really didnât know what to expect, honestly). âYâknow,â you mention, glancing around. âYou have a nice house.â
Bakugou hummed in acknowledgment, his eyes remaining focused on his task. It kind of took him by surprise to hear you say something out of the blueâabout his house, no less. Heâd fully expected you to talk about something else, like school or that new show youâve been begging him to watch.
It went against what Bakugou had originally thought, which led him to look over at you from the corner of his eye, silently raising an eyebrow in a silent question.
âYeah, I guess itâs a nice house,â he said casually, his pen continuing to move over the paper. His penmanship was neat, and Bakugou hears you in awe.Â
Bakugou continued to finish writing down the last of the answers, his eyes narrowing slightly as he noticed you looking around his house. It was obvious what was happening, but he decided to ignore it in favor of just getting the godforsaken project done.
He finished soon enough, his pen rolling back with a click before he leaned back a little and let out a small huff. âWeâre done. Finally.â
âNice, nice.â Glancing at your watch, you concluded, âI should get home.â
Bakugou was silent, rolling his shoulders and neck before glancing out of the nearby window. The sun had already begun to set over the sky, the day quickly slipping away into the night.
âYeah, whatever. You need me to walk you home or something?â He asks gruffly.
âNah, Iâm good. I need to say goodbye to your parents, too.â
Bakugou watched as you packed up all of your belongings, a scoff rolling off of his tongue. It felt almost weird to be civil with each other, neither of you having taken jabs or making snarky remarks to taunt one another.Â
âAlright, fine,â he finally said, standing up from his seat and stuffing his hands into his pockets. âLetâs go find my parents then.â
He led you down the hall and into the kitchen area, his ears vaguely picking up the sounds of his mother and father talking amongst themselves about⊠something. He couldnât tell what exactly, and frankly, he barely even cared.
âMom, Dad.â He spoke up, capturing the attention of his parents.Â
Mitsuki looked over at him, a smile spreading across her face. Masaru looked in the same direction, a warm smile forming on his face as well.
âThank you for having me, Mr. and Mrs. Bakugou,â you said in gratitude. âIâll be going home now before it gets too late.â
His parents shared a hum in acknowledgment, with his mother being the one to speak up first. She had a knowing grin on her face as she clasped her hands together, her eyes flickering over to her son.
âYouâre welcome. You should come over more often,â Mitsuki said enthusiastically, her voice taking on a slightly smug tone.
Masaru laughed as he nodded in agreement. He gave a knowing look to his wife before he looked back over at you. âYou should join us for dinner; we already made enough for you to join us.â
âIâd love to, sir, but my folks are waiting for me at home,â you answered sheepishly.
Bakugou noticed the glance his parents exchanged and immediately knew what they were thinking. He almost grumbled in frustration, already knowing that theyâd ask him about you later after you left.
His mother spoke up once again, her smug grin growing wider. âYouâre always welcome here,â she repeated, her eyes flickering over to her son as her voice came out teasing. âAfter all, Katsukiâs always in a âbetterâ mood when youâre around.â
âI wouldnât doubt it, ma'am. Iâm a joy to be around, after all,â you lightly joked, though you still maintained a respectful tone.
His parents were easier to get along with than you thought.
Bakugouâs eye twitched in annoyance at your words, almost making him want to quip back at your cocky behavior. However, it was the sound of his motherâs sudden laughter that stopped him from doing so.
Mitsuki mother put her hand up to her mouth briefly, her eyes crinkling at the corners as she continued to chuckle. The expression on her face was elated, and it was pissing him off even more, knowing whatâs to come.Â
âI like this one,â she said, grinning from ear to ear.
Masaru added, âAnd clearly, so does Kaââ
âAll right! They need to get going to catch the shitty train.â
By the time Bakugou accompanied you to the door, he had this obvious scowl on his face. âYouâre never cominâ back here again, dipshit.â
âWhaâ no fair! Why am I getting banned from the Bakugou residence when this is my first time here?â you replied.
âShut up,â he grunts. âI could do whatever the hell I want because itâs my house, too.â
âToo bad I have your Momâs numberââ
âDelete that.â
âHeyâ waiâ no way!â
It was not the last time you were ever invited to the Bakugou residence.

Some Tips for writing internal conflict
Wanting Two Things at Once Imagine your character really wants to chase after something big, like a dream school, a major opportunity, or maybe even moving to a new city. But at the same time, theyâre terrified of leaving behind everything theyâve ever known. Or maybe theyâre in a relationship thatâs holding them back, but they canât bring themselves to let go. Show them getting pulled in two directions, torn between their ambition and their fear of losing the people or places that ground them.
Right vs. Wrong Sometimes, your character will know deep down what the right choice is, but itâs the most difficult one to make. Like, maybe they see someone getting bullied and know they should stand up, but doing so could make them a target. Or maybe they have to decide between helping a friend and doing something that could ruin their own future. These moral dilemmas create intense internal conflict because it forces them to question who they are and what they stand for.
Doubting Themselves We all have moments where we wonder if weâre enough, smart enough, strong enough, brave enough. Let your character wrestle with that same doubt. Maybe theyâre the kid who has always been told theyâre special, but now theyâre in a place where everyone is just as good, and they start to wonder if they even belong. Or maybe theyâve been through something tough, and theyâre not sure if they can bounce back. These moments of insecurity make your character feel human, like theyâre trying to figure it all out, just like everyone else.
Dreams vs. Fears Show your character dreaming big but getting frozen by their own fears. Itâs like wanting to ask someone out but being terrified of rejection, or wanting to move away for college but being scared to leave home. Let them imagine all the things that could go wrong , that moment when fear makes them doubt if they should even try. But also show their desire burning just as strong, making it impossible to ignore. Thatâs the heart of internal conflict: theyâre stuck between wanting something so bad and being afraid of what itâll cost to go after it.
Beliefs Being Challenged As your character grows, the world will start challenging their beliefs. Maybe they grew up in a family that drilled certain values into them, and now theyâre meeting people who see things differently. Or maybe theyâre experiencing something new, and itâs changing their perspective. Itâs like when you think you have everything figured out, and then life throws something at you that makes you go, "Wait, maybe Iâve been wrong this whole time." This kind of internal conflict is powerful because it forces the character to question who theyâve always been.
Keeping Secrets If your character is hiding something, like a mistake they made, feelings theyâre afraid to admit, or a truth they donât want to face, that secret becomes a huge part of their internal conflict. The fear of being found out or of dealing with the consequences can create a constant pressure in their mind. Maybe theyâre scared theyâll lose their friends if the truth comes out, or maybe theyâre dealing with guilt they canât shake. The tension comes from their battle to keep it hidden while knowing they canât keep it locked away forever.
Pressure from Everyone Your character might feel like theyâre trapped between what they want for themselves and what everyone else wants from them. It could be pressure from parents, who have their whole future planned out, or pressure from friends to fit in or follow the crowd. Maybe your character wants to be true to themselves, but theyâre scared of disappointing people or standing out too much. This kind of internal conflict is super relatable because, at some point, everyone feels like theyâre stuck between living for themselves and living for others.
Fear of Failing Sometimes the biggest obstacle isnât the external challenge but the internal fear of failure. Your character might have big dreams, but theyâre paralyzed by the thought of messing up. Whether itâs competing in a sport, performing on stage, or just trying something new, the fear of not being good enough can be overwhelming. Maybe theyâre afraid that if they fail, everyone will see them differently, or worse, that theyâll see themselves differently. The internal conflict comes from their desire to succeed battling against their crippling fear of failure.

farmer!könig à female!reader
warnings: +18, smut, arranged marriage, breeding kink!
könig never thought that the love of his life would take so long to arrive, much less in such a small town where he lived and where everyone knew everyone. but yes, he just turned 30 he found himself totally alone, without a wife, girlfriend or even someone to fuck with without commitments.
being an only child, his parents rushed to find the right woman for him. they had to ensure that their legacy would continue and their lands would be passed down to their future grandchildren.
that's where you come in, also the only daughter of a couple of lumberjacks and with a long list of suitors. although you could choose any boy in the town, your parents quickly paired you with könig, who was the son of the wealthiest family in the place.
you didn't know könig personally but you had seen him from time to time on the streets driving his truck carrying fruits and vegetables to supply the businesses. you knew that he was older than you, not only in age but also in body. he always had a serious face and a look that forced you to lower your head because of how intimidating he was.
your families introduced you one day where they had lunch and talked about how beneficial it would be for both of you to get married. könig didn't contribute much, as he spent all that time looking at your breasts through your dress and biting his lip every time you dared to look into his eyes. neither you nor he spoke to each other.
after that, they organized a small wedding in the garden of könig's family and formalized the union between the two of you. you were now his wife and lived with him in a small house built by könig on his family land. however, the most important thing was missing, an heir.
you both knew that your families would not be calm until they saw you carrying his baby in your womb. that's why you and könig had to get closer to each other, both emotionally and physically. every time he came back from a long day of work, you would wait for him with a jug of fresh orange juice or even a beer. then you would prepare the shower for him, where könig would end up dragging you with him and you would shower together. he caressed your skin with excitement and you did the same but with a certain shyness. however, it never went any further, until now.
one afternoon you were harvesting vegetables from the garden until the presence of könig behind you caught your attention.
"it's time... for us to have a son."
könig was wearing his work shirt with a few buttons open and his blue jeans. he looked agitated, as if he needed you at that moment.
"könig... i, i don't know. i've never done it and i'm a little scared..."
you couldn't finish because könig knelt in front of you and grabbed your hips with his hands.
"please, please, let me fuck you. i can't wait any longer, my love, i need you.."
he begged with some pain in his voice, resting his head on your stomach and almost sobbing. his cock was throbbing inside his jeans and dripping with precum. your heart sank at seeing him so needy, so you accepted.
without wasting time, könig fucked you right there in his garden and on the ground, in a primitive way. your pussy took a while to get used to its size but soon the pain turned into pleasure. könig was on top of you, with your legs over his shoulders and his balls hitting your delicate skin.
"i knew this pussy was worth the wait... fuck, you're so tight."
könig kissed your legs, leaving a trace of his saliva and even lightly biting your skin, lost in pleasure. his grunts accompanied your moans and pleas for him to finish inside you as soon as possible, you were afraid that you would be discovered.
"these juicy tits, they're going to look even better when they're big and dripping with milk... are you going to carry my babies, huh? are you going to be a good mom?"
you nodded your head because your mouth couldn't let out anything but moans. könig increased his thrusts, fucking deep inside you until he filled you with his thick semen.
he gently lay down on top of you, careful not to crush you until his orgasm passed. he carefully pulled out of you, caressing your legs and putting the cum that came out back in with his fingers.
"i have to make sure it catch, mommy."

the girl whoâs always dreamt of cheesy encounters with her soulmate, grand love declarations, and a cute little beach wedding to boot. the kind of girl who thought her high school jock boyfriend would make good on his promise of keeping contact until college. that girl who thought the guy she met at 19 at some sleazy frat party wanted more than just sex. the girl who thought that her boyfriend at 21 would finally be The One after he introduced her to his parents on New Yearâs Eve. youâre the kind of girl who thought that it was smart to get a boyfriend in her first year of med school and get proposed to in fourth year.

READ FULL FIC HERE â
âHey, swing me.â
You tell Jungkook, situating yourself more comfortably on the wooden platform attached to the chains.
âA dollar per minute.â He says, standing up from his own seat and placing himself behind you.
âI thought you hate capitalism? What is this?â
âThis is forced labor.â Jungkook says with a groan that you think is a feigned exasperation, since you begin to feel movement right after it.
âYou broke my hairdryer the other day. Consider this your compensation.â You look up at him to give him a smarmy smile.
Fom where youâre seated, you realize just how⊠big his presence is. Itâs not the looming, ominous type, though â itâs quite the opposite. When Jungkook surrounds you, you find a bit of comfort in it. A huge one if you want to be honest to yourself.
âAnd I already bought you a new one. Weâre even.â Jungkook squints his eyes at you.
You laugh.
âYouâre gonna borrow and break it again.â
He visibly winces. âTouchĂ©.â
Jungkook swings you while you talk about your day, just like usual. He asks you about your laparoscopy that kept you from having lunch with the rest of your friends at the hospital earlier that day, about your new scrub cap, and you gossip a little about the new lab tech having a crush on the scrub nurse you both know.
For all his complaints earlier, Jungkook seemingly doesnât seem to mind having swung you for the past ten minutes now. Heâs relaxed and gentle with his movements, and his voice is quaint and soft as he talks to you.
But then you start to feel bad for him so you tell him to stop, standing up from the swing.
âOkay, your turn.â
Jungkook gives you a big grin.
âNice.â
You chuckle at his enthusiasm when he sits on the swing chair this time around. But when you attempt a push, he barely moves, prompting him to laugh.
âWhat weak ass push was that?â He says incredulously, looking at you.
You jut your bottom lip out. âYouâre heavy and Iâm drunk.â
The second time you push him is more forceful but then Jungkook voices out a complaint after the third, fourth, and every single time you do it. You roll your eyes at his tantrums, but then suddenly, you think of a much better idea.
You push him off the swing with all your remaining strength even though your body feels like jelly from all the alcohol you consumed an hour ago.
âWhat the fuck, __?â
You burst out in boisterous laughter at Jungkookâs state, his hands and knees planted on the ground. He then sits on it, clapping his palms together to get rid of some dust that gathered on his skin.
Without thinking too much about it, you make quick steps over to his direction and situate yourself beside him.
Jungkook looks at you, confused, but you only give him a grin.
âLetâs lie on the ground.â
âWhat? No!â Jungkook immediately opposes it. As you expected.
You scrunch your face. âOh! Look at me! Iâm Jeon Jungkook and Iâm a germaphobe and Iâm afraid of dirt!â You say, intentionally making your voice a pitch higher.
Jungkook deadpans. âPathogens can kill your cellsâ metabolic machinery, so, yeah? Iâm afraid of dirt.â
You roll your eyes at him and while he goes off about how they can also cause a toxic massive immune reaction, you push his chest forcefully which catches him off guard, prompting him to lay on the ground. Before he can say anything, you take his arm out to spread beside you and you use it to rest your head on.
Jungkook stops his rambling after that.
âSee, shut up.â You say, backhanding him slightly on the chest. You fix your gaze at the skies. âThe sky is beautiful tonight. Worry about your pathogens next time.â
Jungkook chuckles, and you feel the vibration of his body as he does so, being so close to him. As you peer up to look at him, you see him folding his other arm to lie his head on it.
You smile, going back to looking at the sky.
âThis is like in The Notebook.â Jungkook says after a beat of silence.
âRight?â You grin. âAnd with the pathogens, too.â You tease.
Jungkook laughs, pinching your arm in his reach. âGod, shut up about your pathogens.â
You chuckle at the irony.
âThatâs me,â you point upwards, referring to a big twinkling light in the sky. Then, you move your finger towards the star beside it. âAnd then thatâs you, âcause Iâm a bigger star than you.â
You feel Jungkook look at you from his position. âYou are so drunk.â
That causes you to giggle, clutching your stomach because you canât stop laughing at pretty much everything tonight.
âI feel like I'm not anymore. My head just feels like itâs floating but no, definitely not drunk.â
âWhatever you say.â Jungkook says, chest vibrating from laughing at you.
âHm. Race you to sleep, Jungkook.â You snuggle on his armpit. As you do, you smell a waft of your water lily springs body wash from Bath and Body Works. âCan you stop using my body wash?â
âWhat?â You can hear Jungkook say, but as he calls your name and more, his voice starts fading. â__? Hey, donât sleep on me.â
You hum, eyes still closed.
â__, hey!â Jungkook grazes your arms. You can feel your head moving as Jungkook starts to sit, guiding your back to sit upright. He calls you again, gently tapping your cheek to wake you up.
The truth is, youâre really sleepy, but not so much that you canât hear him anymore or move on your own.
Jungkook gives up trying to wake you up, though, convinced by your acting. Soon, he goes over in front of you, reaching for your arms and placing them around his neck.
âJust put your legs around me, yeah?â He whispers against your hair once youâre glued against his back.
You hum, intending it to sound like a mumble so Jungkook thinks you donât actually understand.
Jungkook fixes your legs around him, standing up, bouncing a little to get you nice and snug in his back. You smile at the prospect of a piggyback ride.
âI know youâre awake, silly,â He says suddenly, his voice painted with amusement.
You stifle your laughter against his neck, breaking your supposed to be convincing act.
âRace you to the car, Kook.â you whisper into his ear.
Jungkook scoffs, but he doesnât say anything more until you reach his car. He wears your seatbelt for you, though, and tells you to drink more water from his tumbler.
You fall asleep easily mid-drive.
In the morning, you wake up with a banging headache, your eyes catching the sight of a post-it note on your desk with one tab of Advil.
morning/afternoon stinky i made porridge before i left for my shift just heat it up again when you wake up
ps: your medical bill from my personal care will be discussed later when i get back home. no friends discount allowed
â your angelic friend, kookie
You chuckle at the (annoyingly elaborate) sketch of an angry bunny on the side.

jealous zhongli my beloved
nestled right in the heart of qiaoying village sits a cozy little apothecary run by you and zhongli.Â
your little shop is popular for locals and tourists alike, perfect for people looking for natural remedies or just a new tea brew. today is a little bit slower, with everyone in liyue harbor celebrating lantern rite. so zhongli sits in the back with a half drained cup of tea, reviewing the shopâs finances and balancing the books while you work up front, greeting and assisting the last few customers of the afternoon.Â
every so often he lets his focus drift to where youâre working, passing out unlit sparklers to a trio of young children. you shake your head when their parents try to pay, smiling softly when the young ones thank you excitedly and rush out, dragging the adults behind them.Â
zhongliâs mind begins to wander to the future, as it often does on days such as this. perhaps next year, youâd be handing sparklers to children of your own.
âare you almost ready to go?â you ask, appearing in the doorway, just as heâs brainstorming baby names in the margins of his work. âiâm waiting on one last gentleman, then we can close for the day.â
zhongli leans back, watching you with a measured expression as he considers your words. âi see. may i ask who this gentleman is? he must be important, if weâre waiting for his business.âÂ
amusement dances across your expression. âhe came by yesterday while you were in the city, inquiring about teas. i think youâd enjoy his company, he reminded me of you. incredibly knowledgeable, wise beyond his years, not to mention very handsomeâŠâ
now he was really aching to leave, but not to the harbor to witness the festivities. he was aching to take you home, grab his spear, then return and wait for this gentleman.
you look over your shoulder when the bell at the front door tinkles. âoh! there he is!âÂ
âi should greet him,â zhongli suggests (though it doesn't really sound like a suggestion). âi'm sure we have much to discuss.â
âalright, my love. lead the way,â you tease, letting him position himself in front of you.Â
zhongli forces a somewhat pleasant smile and tone as he greets the customer clad in the fineries ofâŠfontaine.Â
it takes all of three seconds for him to realize that this is no customer.Â
but he can't do anything, not in front of you, and heâs sure the hydro dragon wouldn't be so foolish to threaten the safety of oneâs mate.Â
âmonsieur neuvillette!â you greet cheerily, peeking around zhongliâs defensive stance. âi have the tea blends you ordered stored in the back. iâll go grab them.âÂ
so begins a true gentlemanâs argument.Â
âwelcome. is there anything i can assist you with in the meantime?â (why have you come?)
the chief justice smiles, though it looks practiced and every bit as forced as zhongliâs. âiâve just come because i admire fair prices.â (i've come for justice)
zhongli has always known this confrontation would come. though the authority of the original elemental dragons has disappeared from the world, a new generation has come to reclaim what was lost.Â
âi see.â (i see)
âi've heard much about this place from the locals.â neuvillette says, fearlessly holding eye contact with the archon. âyouâve created quite the human life for yourself, morax. an artifact appraiser, funeral consultant, and now you run a successful apothecary with your lovely mate.â
something old, draconic, possessive rumbles through veins.Â
neuvillette merely chuckles as the earth beneath the shop trembles lightly.Â
though you return just in time to quell the impending earthquake, zhongliâs possessiveness flares through no fault of his own. dragons mate for life, and though he has the utmost trust in you, he does not trust the dragon from fontaine smiling so politely at you.Â
with his gaze narrowed so dangerously, he misses the amused look you cast up at him when his hand grasps your waist, securing you at his side.Â
âthank you for your patronage, monsieur, but we are now closed. safe travels back to fontaine.â
he doesn't bother waiting for a reply, dragging you away from the counter and into the back room as you try to look over your shoulder.
âthank you for coming, monsieurââ
zhongli presses his lips to yours before you can say his name, the hand not gripping your waist cupping the back of your neck as he crowds you against the wall.Â
thereâs only one, foolproof way to mark you as his.
good thing he already has names picked out.

âââ ââ
ââ
â ââ
âWhere you going?â
You ask, as Drew stands up. The warmth of his hands caressing your thighs is gone, now running through his hair. âBathroom,â he mumbles, barely meeting your eyes. He walks off, without another glance back at the table.Â
His sour mood is evident, by not only you, but all of your friends.Â
To be fair, he didnât even want to come tonight. He pleaded desperately for you to stay in with him, offering things to you that was ridiculous. Such as, doing your laundry for a month (he doesnât even do his own).Â
But you havenât hung out with all your friends in a long time, and you missed them. So, tonight was non-negotiable with Drew.Â
And he gave up with trying to reason with you, hence, why he decided to join you here, at the nice restaurant. He didnât even make an effort to engage nicely with them, chuckling under his breath at random times and answering questions with short answers. Whenever you were talking, he would purposely distract you by touching you under the table, making it awkward for you and your friends.Â
Drew knows your friends donât like him; thatâs why heâs sour. Thatâs also why he shows up to these hangouts, just to rub it in their faces.Â
âWhy did you invite him?â Lucy groans, after Drew was out of eye sight. Your five other friends of this group nod too, all letting out groans of frustration. âHello, earth to y/n, we. Donât. Like. Him.â
âHe insisted on joining,â you shrug, forcing a smile.Â
âUm, you couldâve insisted on him not joining,â Janet, another friend adds on.Â
Your friend group was filled with weird people with different opinions, but one thing theyâve collectively agreed on was: they hate Drew. âHateâ is a strong word, but that was the only way to describe their feelings towards Drew.Â
Theyâve expressed it a lot of times, so itâs become numb to you.Â
âAre you guys finally together though?â Gary asks, sitting beside you.Â
Oh. Every time they see you, they ask this question.Â
âOf course not,â Lucy answers for you, sending you a cocky grin. One you always disliked, because it made you feel small. âClassmates, huh?â
âA really bad label,â Stacy adds on. Yeah, as if you didnât already know.Â
Great. Now itâs just your whole friend group judging you for being with Drew. Again. The last thing you needed from them.
âI visited his parents,â you aggressively say, stabbing into your food. Hopefully that will convince them Drew is a better person that what they think, right?
Wrong. They all âtskâ in a disappointed manner, shaking their heads. âAndâŠstill classmates?â
âWell, he said I was his best friend,â you stuff the food in your mouth, âTo his family.â
âHe probably had to,â Josh speaks up this time, âand wow, is that the first time he called you his friend?âÂ
You donât miss the sarcasm in his voice, and you send him a glare. He raises his hands in defense, the table laughs.Â
You donât find the humor in this situation. Why were they so judgmental towards the relationship with Drew? Itâs not like heâs the biggest jackass ever. Youâve seen every side there is to Drew, they just donât know him like you do. âCan you guys cut it off?â You say, not trying to hide the annoyance in your voice.Â
âWeâre just joking,â Janet laughs, glancing around, âbesides, weâre worried for you.â
You chew and swallow the food in your mouth, sending her an unappreciative smile, ââworriedâ for me?â
âYes, heâs obviously not⊠well, in love with you,â Janet continues, âwe donât want you with someone who clearly doesnât care for you.â
âHe cares for me,â you defend, furrowing your eyebrows at them. You look around the table, seeing your friends glance down at their food, afraid to meet your eyes. âHe cares for me.â
âSure he does,â Stacy bitterly agrees with you. That tone pisses you off. âMaybe privately, he does, but what about in public? Starting off with the most basic, labels.â
You hate how right your friends are. As rude and mean theyâre being, deep down, you know theyâre right. The âno attachmentsâ thing is bullshit, especially when nothing about the two of you is casual.Â
Five, no close to six months, nothing about that is causal.Â
âThatâŠdoesnât matter,â you murmur. Wrong; it mattered a lot, to everyone and to you. You just hated to admit you werenât as chill or casual as Drew was, how he made everything romantic seem friendly with you.Â
When you look around, everyone is now staring at you pitifully.Â
You didnât like that. That pity stare. Thereâs nothing to be pity of. Bunch of people around the world right now might be having situation-ships too. Nothing to pity. Nothing to be ashamed of.Â
Yeah. Thatâs what you keep brainwashing yourself to believe.Â
âThe girl that he bangs on his couchâ. Yeah. Nothing to be ashamed of.Â
Your phone on the table lights up, and it reads bathroom. now.Â
Drew. âUm, excuse me,â you stand up, excusing yourself to the bathroom.Â
As you slowly get up and walk away, your friends werenât very careful with the volume of their voice. You hear one of them calling you a loser, still hanging around just for a good dick to suck.Â
That must be Janet. Her lonely ass must be jealous.Â
But part of you knew she wasnât wrong. You were a loser. The biggest loser to exist. The loser of losers, if that even is a thing.Â
Casual. Your friends succeeded once again, in making you doubt everything with Drew.Â
ââ
âReally boring, right?â
Drew pulls you in by the waist, a lazy smile on his lips as he stares down at you. He leans against the sink, making you stand between his legs.Â
This restaurant had two bathrooms, each with their own sink inside. So, Drew took full advantage of that.Â
âHmm,â you hum carelessly. You didnât want agree with him; you tried to make this evening nice, but his attitude towards your friends just werenât helping. You keep your gaze around the collar of his jacket, not wanting to meet his eyes.Â
âSomething wrong?â He asks, playfulness still hinted in his words. His hand rub circles around your waist, as he tries to make eye contact with you, bending his head down to your level.Â
You advert your gaze even more, now focusing on the bracelet around his wrist. Now that you think about it, he always has this on, since the day you got it for him.Â
Was that casual to do? To keep the bracelet on at all times.Â
âLook at me, would you?â Drewâs tone turns serious, and he pinches the side of your waist harshly.
You flinch, finally looking up at him. You meet his blue eyes, a mix of concern and something else that you canât read. His raised eyebrows tell you that he wants you to talk, to tell him whatâs on your mind.Â
Should you? But, where do you even start? With his attitude tonight, or with your friendâs comments? Or with this whole casual thing, which is basically the beginning to it all.
Your lips pout on its own, resting your hands around his wrist. âThat was uncalled for,â you murmur, looking down at his bracelet again.Â
âWhat was?â Drewâs pinch one your waist is more soft this time, wanting to get the words out of you.Â
âDoing that,â you say, playing with his chained bracelet. Shit. Youâre gonna say it. Youâre gonna call him out for his behavior. âBeing rude to my friends.â
A scoff escapes Drew. He then brings his hand up to your face, forcing you to look up at him. Like second nature, you lean your face into the palm of his hand, waiting for him to explain himself. âBabe, your friends were the rude ones.â
The feeling inside your stomach is indescribable. The nickname sends you butterflies, but the words that follow don't.Â
âHow?â You ask, crossing your arms. Â
He licks his lips, squinting his eyes at you. âIt was so fucking obvious.â
âWas it?âÂ
âYes- yes, it was,â Drew straightens his posture, taking his hands off you. The warmth of him is gone, now with the presence of a man trying to explain his reasonable case of being bratty. âThey asked loaded questions to me this whole night.â
You furrow your eyebrows, thinking hard to the stuff they asked Drew. Shit. They were. Your friends didnât even trying to hide their discontent with him tonight.Â
âThey hate me,â he adds on, âCâmon, I leave the table for like, a few minutes, and they talked shit, right?â
The way he looks at you; he challenges you to disagree with him. But you couldnât; he was right. Your friends hate him, making you constantly doubt whatever this was with Drew.Â
âWasnât all shit,â you lie, sending him the smallest smile ever.Â
Drew makes the âtskâ sound, shaking his head as he gives you a tired smile. âWhat they say then?â He asks, leaning back against the sink again.Â
His eyes look at you in anticipation, biting down on his lips.Â
You do not want to tell him what they said. It was rude, and although it was about Drew, it affected you more than it should have. The seeds of doubt are always planted by your friends, they never put you at ease with this relationship.Â
You give him a lazy smile, snaking your arms around his neck. You lean in close to him, a seductive look in your eyes. âDoes it matter? They talk shit, all they ever do.â
Drewâs lips slightly part, and he glances quickly down at your lips. A smile appears, âI see what youâre doing. Youâre distracting me.â
You shrug lightly, before planting a small kiss on his jaw. âIs it working?â
You hear a chuckle escape from him, and his hand wraps around the back of your head. His eyes keep bouncing between your lips and eyes, smiling from ear-to-ear, âannoyingly so, you minx.â
Without another comment, Drew kisses you, soft and slow.Â
You return the kiss, escalating into a whole make-out session.Â
You hate how your body reacts to him; feeling a pool of wetness form between your legs. Fuck.Â
Something pokes against your lower stomach, and you pull away from Drew. You glance down; heâs erected. âShit,â you curse, as his hands slide down your body. He squeezes your ass, burying his face into your neck as he breathes the skin there.Â
âIâŠI canât go back to the table like this,â he murmurs, referring to his erection.Â
You watch as his back rises and falls, through the sink mirror. Even with this thick white jacket he has on, you can tell his breathing has sped up. Your lips form a straight line, running your hands through his short hair.Â
In the bathroom? Right in the middle of dinner? It was highly inappropriate.Â
Wrapping your hands around his face, you pull him up to meet his eyes. He looks at you pleadingly, lips parted with drool on the corner of his lips.Â
Fuck. How is one suppose to say no to that look? He looked as if he physically needed you; needed you to calm the⊠âgrowingâ in his pants.Â
âTen minutes,â you tell him, which immediately lights the spark in his eyes. He looks like a puppy! You smile at that thought, as he straightens himself, switching your positions.Â
âTen minutes? Enough for two rounds,â he teases, lifting you to sit on the sink.Â
âNo! One round,â you say, which gets cut off by Drew kissing you again. As much fun as two rounds sound, the longer you linger in here, the more obvious it is that the two of you are fucking.Â
He groans into your mouth, spreading your legs to stand between them. His hands move fast into your dress, slipping your underwear off. The cold surface of the sink hits your thighs and pussy, adding to the heat growing within you.Â
Drew trails his kisses down your neck, as your hands work on undoing his belt.Â
You moan when he sucks on the sweet-spot around your neck, the belt dropping onto the floor with a hard thud. âDrewâŠâ you moan out, messy hands tugging his hair as he continues to form hickeys around your neck.Â
You want to run your hands around his stomach, chest, abs. But the jacket he has on prevents that, being zipped up the whole way. This jacket looked great on him, but would look better on the floor.Â
Your hands fidget with the zipper, tugging with no luck of it moving.Â
Drew pulls away from your neck, a chuckle escaping, âbabe, gently.â
His hands overlaps yours, guiding you to pull the jacket zipper down. It reveals that he isnât wearing anything inside; a feast to your eyes. âIs that why you refused to take this off?â You ask, referring to before the dinner started.
âI was invited last minute,â he shrugs the jacket off, as if it wasnât his fault for the improvised outfit.Â
âRight, but you werenât invited,â you remind him, when he insisted on joining you when you were leaving, throwing on a random outfit nearby. You were busy putting your heels on, so you couldnât see the moment when he got dressed. You didnât even know he owned a jacket like this.Â
âMmhm,â his mind was elsewhere, attaching his lips to yours again. Sloppy and more lustful this time, as your hands wander around his body. Itâs hot under your touch; his abs flexing as you run your hands over them.Â
His hand grips onto your thigh, before moving closer to your heat.Â
When the warmth of his fingers hit your pussy, you moan loudly into his mouth.Â
âShit,â he chuckles, âweâre in public, babe.â
The tip of your ears heat up too, from the embarrassment and realization that youâre in public, most likely having people hear you from the other side of the door. âSorry,â you murmur, burying your face into his neck.Â
Drew sticks two fingers into your hole, and starts thrusting at a faster speed than usual. Your breathing becomes uneven, as you try to tone down your moans.Â
Drew wasnât having it easy either, as you hear low grunts escaping him. âFuck,â he curses, adding another digit, âyouâre tight tonight.â
âJust fuck me already,â you manage to say, hands gripping on his biceps. Surely, this was enough foreplay, right?Â
He chuckles again, this time at your impatience. He pulls his fingers out of you, his hands going to the back pocket of his jeans.Â
The familiar gold packaging comes out, and his hands skillfully rip them open.Â
ââŠcouldnât put on a shirt but bought a condom with you?â Laughter escapes you, as you watch him unzip his pants.Â
He glances up at you, and when he sees you smiling ear-to-ear, he canât help but match you, âwasnât gonna show up totally unprepared, right?â
You laugh again; what an unbelievable guy. âShirtâs optional but condom a must. Got it.â
Drew lets his pants and boxers hang around his knees, his cock standing proud. The sight immediately wipes the smile off your lips, gulping as you imagine it stuffed inside you.Â
âThe chances of fucking you wherever and whenever is high,â Drew says, wrapping the condom around his dick.Â
He looks up at you, seeing your gaze fixed on his hard cock. A smirk helps themselves to his lips, as his hands tug on your waist. An idea flashes in his mind as he looks over your shoulder, at the big sink mirror.Â
âGet off,â his voice brings you back, looking at him with confused eyes now. âCâmon, trust me.â
You let him bring you back onto the ground, before flipping you over. You see both your reflections in the mirror, your back hitting his chest, his dick poking your upper ass.Â
When you meet his eyes through the mirror, you understand where this was going.Â
âWatch yourself while I destroy your fucking pussy, hmm?â
Oh. Oh. Was it possible to be turned on by words?Â
Drew lifts up your dress, revealing your wet core. You hold onto the sink for support, grip getting tighter when you feel Drewâs tip against your entrance.Â
Then, he slips in, going deep until itâs completely nestled inside you.Â
âFuck,â you moan, glancing up at Drew. He sends you a smirk, enjoying this too. His hand goes to your stomach, and he lifts you backward, resting against his chest again.Â
âGrip my hair, and keep your eyes open, alright?â His voice drops low, one hand moving to knead your breasts.Â
You nod, bringing your hands behind you; one tugging gently around his hair, another around his arm thatâs supporting you.Â
He starts to thrust into you, rather roughly and fast. âShit,â you moan, the sensation sending you to outer space. With his thick cock slamming into you, his hands roaming your body, your hands running through his short hair, it feels euphoric.Â
Your eyes can barely stay open, as you look at the reflection in the mirror. Drew leaves a trail of sloppy kisses along your shoulder, which sends goosebumps to your skin.Â
You watch as one of his hand slips between your thighs, starting to massage your pussy. âFuck,â you moan, louder than you should be. You couldnât help it, the pleasure was extraordinary.Â
He kisses your earlobe, âiâknow baby, but keep it down, alright?â
âY-yeah,â it barely comes out, as the thrusts and massages to your core intensifies. The familiar knot in your stomach forms, informing you that youâre close. âDrewâŠâ
His pace doesnât stop, and when you lean your head back on his shoulder, he goes harder, âclose?â
You nod with any energy left, and Drew uses his free hand to lift your face up again. He kisses your cheek, âuse your words.â
You flutter your eyes open, looking at the two of you in the mirror. It was extremely hot, to see Drew filling you up, his hands all around you. The mirror starts to fog up a little, with all the grunting and pressure filling in here.Â
âIâm coming,â you force out, and meet Drewâs gaze in the mirror. His blue eyes meet yours, seething with lust.Â
You clench around him, your hand going around Drewâs, which is massaging your pussy. He stops massaging, and he intertwines your hands together. The stickiness doesnât bother you; why should it?
âFuck,â he groans, his thrusts to your g-spot growing sloppy.Â
You tilt your head sideways, and you give him a quick kiss, which sends you over the edge. Your orgasm explodes inside of you, cum dripping out and over Drewâs cock.Â
Body giving up, you lean completely against Drew, as he helps himself to his. His cock twitches, and you feel the familiar hot liquid filling up.Â
Both of you are breathing heavily, euphoria radiating off your bodies. Fuck. This might just be one of the best fucks youâve had with Drew. But in a public restroom? Who wouldâve thought.Â
âYouâre so hot,â he compliments, before planting a small kiss on the side of your face.Â
You giggle at that stupid comment, looking at him through the mirror; Heâs got a playful smile on his lips, looking at you with smitten eyes. âYouâre great with your words.â
He chuckles, his hands tapping against the side of your waist, signaling you to move. You use the energy left inside of you, helping him slip out. Leaning against the sink, you watch as Drew grabs tissues to wipe your core, then throwing his condom away.Â
After that, he grabs your underwear on the floor. You get yourself dressed, him doing the same thing.Â
âLook, onlyâŠonly seven minutes passed,â Drew comments with a sly smile on his lips, showing you his watch.Â
You roll your eyes, your lips betraying you by forming a smile. âCocky much?âÂ
He puts his jacket back on, the last piece of clothing. âWell, you've definitely enjoyed the taste of it.â
You hit his chest playfully, his remark sending butterflies to your stomach. He laughs, zipping his jacket only halfway. Your eyebrows furrow at his exposed chest that pierces through the top; and you reach for the zipper.Â
Drew stays in place, and you feel his gaze on the top of your head, his hot breath hitting you. You ignore the tension that pulls; when youâre done, you pat his chest, âall done, buddy.â
ââBuddyâ?â Thereâs a hint of amusement in his tone, eyes squinting down at you.Â
You send him a soft smile, seeing him glance down at your lips. âWhat?â
âCall me buddy one more time,â his hands wrap around your waist, and he leans closer to you, âand youâll get it.â
His dirty and challenging tone sends shivers down your spine, something you find yourself liking a bit too much. The pit of your stomach yells at you at how hypocritical Drew was being right now, but you ignore it.Â
And just because itâs fun, you lean into his ear, and whisper, âbest buddy ever.â
Tickles are sent to the side of your body, making you jump and melt into his arms. You laugh uncontrollably; Drew knew you were ticklish, using it to his full advantage.Â
âStop! Stop!â You yell between laughter, your legs ready to give up.Â
âDonât call me that then,â he stops tickling you, grip on you tight to make sure you donât fall. He kisses the tears of laughter from the corner of your eyes, âI donât like it.â
âNoted,â you murmur, wrapping your arms around his neck. You glance down at his lips, and he does the same to yours.Â
Drew gives you the look; he wants to kiss you.Â
And you let him, closing your eyes and feeling his lips against yours.Â
Is it still casual if you kissed me like itâs the last time you ever will? You hate how this thought appears in your mind again, haunting you.Â
You pull away, the pressure of it getting overwhelming. âLetâs head back, yeah?â
âWe have to?â His eyes stay glued to your lips. âYou know, We couldâŠwe could just leave.â
You furrow your eyebrows at him, âno!â
âSay you got plans tomorrow morning,â he shrugs, âIâll say it for you, if you canât-â
You cross your arms, looking up at him. âWhy would I leave early?â
Drew parts his lips, and he brings his hand up to your elbow. He rubs the area there in soft circles, a playful look in his eyes, ââŠgrab some froyo?â
You drop your arms, looking at him disappointedly. When he saw that, he hurriedly adds, âand I got errands to run. Really.â
You contemplate in your mind about this; ditching this dinner to hang out privately with Drew? Yeah, that sounded like something fun. It must be better than staying awkwardly, having your friends judge Drew.Â
Casual. Casual, casual, casual. Some casual froyo with Drew, and maybe ending up with sex in his dorm room.Â
Yeah. Seemed like things people whose âcasualâ would do.Â
âFine. Youâre treating me though,â you unlock the door, walking out the bathroom.Â
âI always treat you,â you hear him murmur behind you, following closely behind as you two walk back to the table.Â
You interrupt the conversation theyâre having, grabbing your purse from your seat. They look at your questionably, before their gaze lands sourly on Drew behind you. âiâve got something, tomorrow morning, so weâre heading off,â you try sounding apologetic, âsorry to leave this early.â
âOh, um, okay,â Lucy glances between the two of you, âtext us when you get home.â
âYeah, sorry,â you apologize again, before your friends wave goodbye to you. You donât miss the hateful looks they leave on Drew, as they tell you to take care until the next time you guys meet.Â
After that, you and Drew leave the restaurant, letting the doorman do his job of getting a taxi.Â
A warmth around your hand catches you by surprise; Drew holds your hand, pulling you closer to him. You look down at the holding of hands; then back up at him. Heâs staring down at his phone, scrolling through his insta feed.Â
Holding hands. Something very casual to do, apparently.Â
âWhat are you watching?â You ask, leaning on his shoulder.Â
He laughs, showing you the screen. Itâs a video of a monkey pointing towards the glass, which has different play-doughs lined along it.Â
You donât get the humor in it, but you smile, because it makes Drew smile.Â
The two of you stand there, watching different posts on his phone until the taxi arrives.Â
Your mind finds it strange how âcasualâ you two are.Â
Because, in the bottom of your heart, you werenât so sure if this was casual anymore. Along the way, the lines of âno attachmentâ seemed to have blurred. Blurred to the point of no return.Â

A Date (Benny Cross x Shy!Reader Pt 3)
Thank you so much for all your kind words, likes and reblogs on my last two posts! You guys are keeping me so entertained with the comments!
Ugh I rewrote this like 3 times :( I just couldn't get it right and I'm still not sure how I feel about it OH WELL
Benny x Bunny Masterlist
Word Count- 2.2K
Summary- You were sure you'd never see Benny Cross again. . . you were wrong.
******
âBennyâs been asking for ya.â
Your heart skipped a beat and you nearly dropped the receiver into the bowl of cake batter. Kathyâs statement came out of left field, the two of you having been discussing the latest news on the block â what kind of lipstick Sheryl Dickie uses that somehow always lasts an entire night of bar hopping. âWhat?â
âYeah, says heâs real desperate to ask you somethinâ,â Kathyâs tone was flippant, but youâve known her long enough to hear the excitement sheâs hiding in her voice.
âWhat could he possibly have to talk to me about?â You asked as you set the whisk down and moved around the kitchen counter to peak down the hallway towards the living room where you knew your father sat in his large recliner, watching a rerun of Bonanza.Â
âI dunno, maybe you should come to another meetinâ so you can find out.â
âNo, Iâm not going to anymore of those.â you declared firmly, yanking the cord so that the phone was up to your other ear. âI donât know how you can stand being around those guys.â
Kathy laughed, the static spiking. âCâmon, theyâre fun, and you know it. Did you tell your parents how you got to ride on the back of a Vandalâs bike, and not just any Vandal!â
âNo!â you squeaked. âAnd theyâre never going to know. It was a one-time thing.â
âIt doesnât have to be. Theyâre having another meetinâ tonight. Iâm sure Benny could pick you upââ
âWell, I canât tonight,â you cut her off. âI have plans.â
âWhat plans?â
âMy date.â
âDate?â Kathy asked, voice lowering dubiously. âWith who?â
âPete,â you said quietly.Â
âWho?â she asked again.
You sighed. âPete? The guy from Mamaâs church?âÂ
Pete was introduced to you last week by your mother who was introduced to him by his mother. It was a train of people who wanted to matchmake, to see young love blossom before their eyes, even if it was forced. Pete was nice enough and he had kind eyes that sat behind wide-rimmed glasses. Youâd been on one other date with him. He was an engineering student in his first year and he talked a lot about his school. He liked school. And he liked to golf nearly every weekend (his family belonged to the country club on the upper side of town). And mostly â he talked a lot about himself. He seemed to really like himself too.
âOh, okay.â Kathy sounded unimpressed.
âMy family really likes him. My dad likes him.â
âYeah?âÂ
At her unenthusiastic response, you added quickly, âAnd Iâm excited!â
âIs that why youâre stress-baking?â Kathy inquired as if she could sense it.
You glance down at the bowl of cake batter. No, it wasnât, actually. You werenât nervous to go on your second date with Pete; he didnât make her nervous, didnât fill your belly with those pesky butterflies. Pete was . . . just Pete. No, you were stress-baking because of a certain blonde Bikerider whose ocean blue eyes wouldnât leave your thoughts all night. You were up, tossing and turning, replaying every moment with him like a broken record. It was one ride, the logical side of your mind had to say, and youâll never see him again. You allowed yourself the rest of the night to think about him, and then you wouldnât set aside any more time.Â
In theory, it was a nice strategy. But when you woke up today, your thoughts were absolutely clouded with him and his incredibly direct eye-contact and his deeply rich voice and his hand touching your thigh and his lips encasing the cigaretteâ
You were doing it again! It had been one ride! One ride and a few hours. One ride where your arms wrapped so tightly to his solid form. One ride where he showed you places youâd never seen before, from a point of view youâd never been before. One ride where you felt as though you were seeing the world in a whole new light. One ride that you couldnât get out of your head.
âYes, because of Pete,â you replied evenly. âAnd Iâm going to have a good time with him tonight.â
Thereâs a smile in her voice when she says, âOkay, sure. Say, what restaurant did ya say he was takinâ you?â
********
Thanking the driver, you stepped out of the cab, your heels connecting softly with the concrete of the sidewalk. Taking a moment to smooth any wrinkles on your pink dress, your gaze fluttered across the street to the restaurant Pete told you to meet him at.Â
Ricardoâs was one of the most expensive restaurants in town, somewhere you never found yourself frequenting, but Pete absolutely gushed about their food. Coming from old money, Pete had no hesitation picking here for your second date. Peteâs family was well off, thatâs what your mother liked to point out. He was a good boy with good money. He would provide for you, buy you a nice house with a picket fence in the front yard. A safe bet for the same routine life that nearly all the women of your family had spanning back several generations.
You made your way across the street, eyes taking in the lineup of expensive cars parked out front: Mercedes, Rolls Royce, Cadillac . . . Harley-Davidson motorcycle. You did a double-take at the shiny metal glinting underneath the streetlamp, eyes traveling upwards to the figure leaning casually against it. He was looking at the restaurant, head turned to give a generous view of his profile, and he hadnât noticed you yet. For a split second, you considered taking advantage of that and booking it into the front door before he had a chance to stop you. But some deeply intrinsic part of you yearned to memorize every detail of him and you simply couldnât look away. As a moth drawn to flame, you were drawn to him, to the golden streaks of his hair, down to the strong slope of his nose, the curve where his top lip sat so perfectly against the bottom â even with the cigarette tucked between. He wore long sleeves under his club jacket and the same distressed jeans from your last encounter. Half shrouded in the darkness of night, with the orange glow of the streetlight nearest to him, he looked like a beacon of mystery. Abandoning your previous course, you turned and approached him.
âWhat are you doing here?â You asked once you were close enough for him to hear you.Â
Benny turned and a smile broke out over his features, eyes sweeping down your figure. âDo you dress like that all the time or only when youâre gonna see me?â He asked, nodding to your dress and heels.Â
You stopped about 6 feet away from him (a reasonable distance), hopping up onto the sidewalk. âI didnât expect to see you here.âÂ
âWhat a chance encounter,â he proclaimed with a secretive wink that sent your stomach on a roller coaster ride.Â
âChance encounter, or Kathyâs loose lips?â you quipped and he rubbed a hand over his mouth to keep from smiling, fingers grazing through the blonde, recently-trimmed facial hair. Â
âWhy are you here?â You asked again, this time a touch quieter. Â
âWell, I have a coupon,â he replied simply.
You couldnât stop the smile from tugging at your lips, your brows raising incredulously. âA coupon? To Ricardoâs?â
âMm-hm,â he nodded, straight-faced.
You rolled your eyes at his antics. He had a coupon, your ass. A well-dressed elderly couple walked past you both on the sidewalk, each shooting a look of disapproval toward the dirty young man leaning against his death machine. Benny seemed not to notice them, his gaze still on you.Â
âWhy are you here?â he questioned.
âIâI have a date,â you replied and desperately tried to ignore the heat rising to your face at the admission. âBut something tells me you already know that.â
âHmm,â he hummed, looking down to the ground for all of five seconds before his gaze flashed back up to you. âWanna go for a ride, Little Bunny?â
âWhat? No.â You narrowed your eyes at him.
âWhy not?â
âWell, I just told you I'm here for a date,â you replied with a tilt of your head.Â
Benny shrugged. âSo?â
You shook your head but he continued, âWhy are you wastinâ your time with dates when weâre gonna be married anyway?â
Your mouth fell open in surprise. The nerve on this guy! Part of you was surprised that he still had it in his head of marrying you. You thought maybe he had a few too many beers last night or was just smooth-talking you so that youâd let him sleep with you. But here he was, showing up on the sidewalk, giving you those puppy eyes. Youâd already denied him once. Could he not take a hint?
âI donât recall you ever asking.â you pointed out, feeling emboldened by his casual attitude.Â
He perked up at that, tossing the remainder of his cigarette to the ground. âYou want me to ask?â
You fought to remain neutral-faced at his playfulness. âNo, thank you. Now, if youâll excuse me . . . I have a date.â One that you were excited about before you caught sight of Benny and your train of thoughts completely derailed.
Benny held his hands up in a conciliatory way and you turned on your heel, leaving him out on the streets as you made your way inside.
******
The clock on the far wall seemed to be mocking you, minutes ticking by mercilessly. You resisted looking at it, instead planting your chin in the palm of your hand as you watched the door, waiting for Peteâs familiar face to appear. It had been over an hour. He was over an hour late for your date.Â
Each time the waitress returned to fill your glass of water, you told yourself a new lie. He was just stuck at work, heâll be here soon. He was running behind getting ready, heâll be here soon. There must have been an emergency, heâll be here soon. He wouldnât stand you up, heâll be here soon.Â
But as the seconds passed, you sunk further and further into your seat, humiliation forming a ball in your stomach. Surely, he had gotten his days mixed up? He really seemed to enjoy your first date, so why was he nowhere to be seen. Every time someone walked through the front door, the little bell chiming above, you glanced up, certain it would be him. But it never was. At first, you were angry. How could he have the audacity to leave you hanging without so much as calling you before he left if he knew he wouldnât be able to make it. Then a bitter thought came to mind: what if he stood you up because he didnât want to go out with you again. What if you weren't good enough for him. You had spent your whole life on the never ending hamster wheel of trying to be good enough for everyone else. Was your hard work even noticed?
Recognizing the sting of unshed tears, you looked down at the napkin folded neatly in your lap, blinking rapidly in an attempt to get control of yourself. The bell chimed over the front door, but you couldnât bring yourself to look over at it, not wanting to feel the crushing disappointment of another wealthy customer walking inside and not your date.Â
Then a flash of dark clothing popped across from you and you looked up just as Benny Cross slid into the empty seat. You opened your mouth, but no words came out. He leaned forward, elbows of his leather jacket propped over the tablecloth.
âPete not show?â he asked, expression solemn.Â
Your ears burned and you shook your head. Too preoccupied by your embarrassment, it didnât even occur to you that you had never told him Peteâs name.Â
He frowned and he genuinely appeared upset. Unable to maintain his direct gaze, you glanced away and caught the eyes of everyone else in the restaurant staring wide-eyed at the two of you. You realized that it was Benny who they were gawking at. And you didnât seem to notice until now that he looked totally out of place with his worn clothes and dirty hands. As if sensing their not-so-subtle staring, Benny turned and looked about the room.
âWhatâs with all the stiff shirts in here?â he asked, sending you a conspiratorial glance. âI think they might be intimidated by you.â
âMe?â You furrowed your brow. It definitely wasnât you they were looking at. In fact, the only person who was staring at you was Benny.Â
âYeah, I bet theyâve never seen anyone as pretty as you. Most people havenât and they don't know how to act when they do.â He grinned and you had to look down at your lap as heat rose to your face. Â
âI guess Pete wouldnât agree,â you muttered quietly, feeling the anger in your heart fizzle out to meer disappointment.Â
âFuck Pete,â Benny said passionately, causing an elderly woman behind you to gasp and you giggled, shocked at his language. Benny was bad, he was trouble . . . but he was also fun, and you couldnât hide your eagerness as he leaned his arms across the table, moving closer to address you privately.Â
âYou wanna get out of here, Bunny?â His question sent a gust of anticipation through your veins.Â
âYeah,â you admitted, smiling shyly.Â
He stood quickly and you followed in suit. Then he did something that caused a wave of butterflies to roll through your stomach; he reached out and clasped his hand with you, interlocking fingers tightly. You grinned, excitement making you feel light and airy as he pulled you through the restaurant, past all the staring faces and harsh whispers and out the door into the night which felt alive with a whole new feeling of possibilities.Â

Have you ever seen that corny ass skit where itâs the girl talking to her husband asking him to fix things and he says âIâm not a plumberâ âIâm not a carpenterâ bla bla bla and then one day he comes home and the girlâs like âoh yeah I had the neighbor come over to fix the things you wouldnâtâ and the neighbor says she can either bake him a cake or sleep with him as payment so the husband asks âso what kind of cake did you bake him?â And the girl says âIâm not a baker?â
Very much Neighbor!Price x stay-at-home-mom!reader coded :)
Mdni. Nsfw below cut.
Neighbor!Price whoâs found a quiet little cul-de-sac to settle in when heâs got some time off. Itâs a little neighborhood, mostly older people whoâre thrilled to have a man like him around to help bring out bins and offer to mow their lawns or rake their leaves or shovel their drives when heâs around.
But somehow heâs found the only other younger family in the area living directly next to him. Parents are a few years his junior, and theyâve got two young kids. He assumes the boy, the older one, is early elementary age- sees you herding him into the car in the morning with a pack lunch and a backpack thatâs nearly the same size as he is to and from the house in the morning and afternoon. And the girl, the younger, must be in pre-k, because sheâs only out for half the day and doesnât get the same pack lunch her brother gets.
Heâs gotten to know you pretty well. When heâs around, the two of you will chat while youâre tending your garden and heâs working in his garage carrying out some odd project or another. He thinks youâre sweet. Likes the way you wear overalls with a little top when youâre planting flowers in the beds out front. How when you bend over or stand at the right angle he can imagine youâre not wearing a top at all.
He hates your husband. Heâs crass and rude and never waves hello to any of the neighbors- odd for such a friendly little community. Leaves for work early and comes home late and leaves you to fend for yourself all day. Doesnât know how to interact with you or your kids. And Price is almost certain he doesnât fuck you the way you deserve to be fucked because his bedroom window looks over your living room and heâs caught you on the couch with your hand down your pants more times than could have been coincidence.
Heâs known to be the neighborhood handyman. Got a little workshop set up in his garage and a general knowledge about nearly everything, so itâs not uncommon that he gets a knock on the door a few times a week. Usually itâs some of the older neighbors popping over to see if he can fix their TVs or help their grandkids connect to the Wi-Fi, but itâs a pleasant surprise when you turn up on his porch mid-morning.
Youâre scrunching the ends of your soaking wet hair in a towel. Apologizing as soon as you hear him turn the deadbolt. Feverishly going on about how you must have blown a circuit in the bathroom trying to dry your hair and youâd usually be able to manage but your husband shoved a bookshelf in front of the breaker and you canât get through to it.
Heâs sweet about it. Always is, but especially for you. Follows you over to your place and promises you no less than ten times that itâs really no trouble. Heâs happy to help. Itâs a quick fix, but he drags it out as long as he can. Insists on following you up and down the stairs from the basement to the top floor twice to make sure everythingâs working properly.
He notices that the bathroom door sticks and that the fire alarm in the hallway is chirping from a low battery. You apologize for the toys in the living room and the clean laundry pile on the couch and the state of your house. Say that your husband is racking up a hefty to-do list with a small laugh thatâs just a bit too forced.
Heâs thrilled to tell you that heâs got some free time later in the week and says heâll come over if only to help out your husband. Makes some backhanded remark about how your husband is clearly a busy lad. You refuse- of course- sweet thing that you are, but he turns up the next day after youâve taken your kids to school anyway.
He tails you up the drive so thereâs no way you can shut him out. Shushes you when you try to apologize for one reason or another and takes off to fix not only the sticky bathroom door and the fire alarm batteries, but also the dripping kitchen faucet and the garbage disposal thatâs been broken for months.
You try to stay clear of whatever room heâs working in, chirping short responses to whatever nonsense question he asked in an attempt to lure you over. It was only when he was about to head out and he saw you leaning on the dryer to keep it shut that he saw his golden opportunity.
You were clearly trying to hide it, but even with a small load of clothes in, it sounded like youâd thrown a pair of boots into a tin garbage pail and shook it hard as you could. You tried to shoo him off, but he wasnât having any of it.
Thereâs enough skirting around the subject to give you chance to turn down his advances, but when he realizes youâre not outright telling him to go fuck himself, heâs essentially taking it as a challenge to see if he canât push you to that point.
Hoists you up on the still clanging machine and pushes between your legs on the weak pretense of needing you there to keep the door shut while he works. The machine shook the straps of your top down off your shoulders and made him acutely aware of the fact that you hadnât had the time to put on a bra yet. It made his pants near painfully tight on the crotch.
Heâd try and make idle chat. Your kids and plans for the day, but itâs entirely too hard for him to focus on anything other than the way your thighs are pressing together as the dry cycle started to bang the machine around more. He makes a light comment about how heâs not sure how you get anything done around the house with the dryer in this state. Your laugh is breathy.
And when he leans over you to reach to the back of the machine, he can feel the way your soft panting breaths fan his neck. Confirms his suspicions.
âAlright?â
Youâre chewing the inside of your lip while you nod. Clearly starved for stimulation if all it takes is a dry cycle to get you off. Poor thing.
Itâs stuffy in the laundry room. Adds to the appeal. Makes your shorts ride up and stick to your legs. Your thighs are dewy and glide together when you shift under his gaze.
âYou sure, doll?â
The two of you are almost nose-to-nose. Youâre leaned back, caged in by his big arms that look even bigger in his almost obscenely tight shirt. Heâs smiling. Letting his eyes wander to your collarbones. The way your throat bobbed when you swallowed.
Before you could choke out your answer, the dryer stopped. Chimed the alert and slowly stilled. You took a shaky breath and nodded once more, looking like you couldnât decide whether to be disappointed or relieved. He backed off, stretched out his hand to help you down.
You lead him to the kitchen. Ask if you can get him anything. Tea or food. He declines. You say something about stopping to get cash when youâre out picking up your daughter in a couple hours. He declines again.
âJohn, really, I appreciate your help. You have to let me get you back.â
Youâre filling the kettle with water anyway, leaned just slightly over the sink. He knows itâs impolite to stare, but heâs never had very good manners when it came to things like that.
âBake me a cake or somethinâ, then. Sleep with me. Wonât take your money, though.â
You whirl around and end up sloshing some water down your front. Doesnât seem to phase you. Your eyebrows are damn near at your hairline.
âI donât know if thatâs appropriate, consideringâŠâ
He snorts a soft laugh. Itâs kind- not at all suggestive. Like heâs playing off a clever joke.
âWhat? Baking me a cake?â
You purse your lips and set the kettle on the stove.
âNever been a very good baker.â
He about hurdles the kitchen island like heâs running track.
âThat right?â
You make a thoughtful sound before clicking on the burner. He can see you biting back a smile. You finally turn to face him. Leaned back on your hands with your head cocked slightly to the side.
âI just donât know that it would be appropriate given our- my- situation.â
Itâs his turn to hum and nod. Take a few steps forward, slow and slinky like a predator stalking toward its prey.
âSure.â
You chew your bottom lip. Try to find some resolve in fussing with your wedding ring. Itâs horrible. Small. He canât help but think about how heâd be able to get you a much better one. He takes a few more steps forward.
âItâs complicated, John.â
Your voice is mousy now.
âI know.â
A few more steps forward and heâs back nose-to-nose with you. Pinning you against the counter.
âI just-â
âThen tell me to go home.â
The button of his jeans grazes your groin and sends sparks up your spine. You recoil slightly, but heâs got his massive hands on your wrists to keep you in place.
âMy husb-â
âDonât. Sânot what I said. Tell me to go home. Tell me to go home, and Iâll leave. Sâeasy as that.â
The coarse hair of his beard brushes along your jaw. Visible goosebumps rise all the way up your neck and down your arms.
âJohn, he-â
A throaty growl from him.
âHeâs not getting a lick of you.â
And then somehow heâs got you on your back on the couch. Shoved off the pile of laundry and pushed you down. His eyes are near pitch black and hungry. Ravenous. He tears off your shorts. Doesnât wait for you to hoist your hips, just yanks so hard that youâre a little worried youâll get thrown off the couch with them.
He is wretched. Planting wet kisses from the inside of your knee all the way up to your sex frustratingly slow. Big hands splayed over your hips to keep you from bucking up into his mouth. Heâs got this maddeningly smug smile on his face like heâs waiting for the perfect moment to say I told you so. Like he knew this was going to happen from the start, you were just too stupid to see.
Your underwear is embarrassingly wet from your little go on the dryer. Your pussy puffy and sensitive underneath. You whine when he kisses over the damp spot. Laves his tongue over your folds without pulling them to the side. He makes some comment about the state of you that borders on snarky, but you choose to ignore it.
When he finally does rid you of your panties, thereâs a moment of clarity where you realize what youâre doing. You push up on your elbows and try to roll out from under him, but he gives your clit a mean slap that forces you back onto the couch and ends your protest. Sends you to that liminal, clouded headspace where all you can focus on is how desperately you need to come.
Itâs clear heâs savoring the moment. Running the point of his tongue through your folds. Teasing at your hole. Artfully swirling around your clit, but never close enough to give you the friction youâre so desperately craving. Planting hot, wet kisses on your inner thighs. Leaves a few love bites in his wake like heâs boasting; so certain your husband wouldnât get close enough to notice that he had no problem decorating you as he pleased.
Youâre a mess. Being taken apart stitch by stitch. Panting and whining and begging for more. Your orgasm is coiling tight under your belly without him having to do much. Any other time youâd have felt a little pathetic, but you were too preoccupied to care now.
He finally brings his hands up and you think heâs about to stuff you full, but he only lets his fingers drag slowly along your sensitive sex. Collects some of your arousal and pulls it up toward your naval. Watches the goosebumps form under his touch.
He rucks your shirt up with his free hand and immediately wraps his lips around your pebbled nipples. Tongues at them. Lets his teeth graze teasingly over them. And whatever one heâs not got currently in his mouth, heâs working his fingers over. Pinching and flicking until youâre teary eyed and squirming under him.
And then finally, fucking finally, he ducks back down and fixes his mouth on your clit. Sucks gently on the swollen bud for just a moment and then companies his mouth with two fingers bullying their way inside you.
The stretch is almost uncomfortable in its suddenness, but you quickly get used to it. The pleasure is blinding. Forces you to throw your head back against the cushion and screw your eyes tightly shut. A string of high, needy moans float through your gaped lips.
Heâs sweet, Jesus, is he. Hums and groans with his mouth still on your bundle of nerves. Pulls away just enough to tell you how pretty your pussy is taking him before going back to work on your sensitive clit. You want to scream. You think you may actually come entirely undone on this couch if he doesnât stop.
And then your orgasm coils so tightly within you that it explodes outward. Tears through you and leaves every square inch of your skin sizzling. He doesnât let up. Pins you down by the stomach with his forearm and continues down his warpath. The sounds his fingers make when they sink into you are so pornographic that it makes your face hot.
You eventually find it in you to warble out something that sounded like please, too much. And he pulled off, still with that smug grin pulling his lips now surrounded by glistening slick caught in the hair of his beard.
He gives you one last kiss. Lewd and wet and so searing hot youâre worried it will actually blister the sensitive flesh of your cunt. Heâll sit back on his haunches and fuss with the button and zipper of his jeans before saying something horrible and cheeky like
âCâmon, doll. Thought you were set on payinâ me back.â

Ain't no sunshine
A/N: neglected reader x yandere batfam part one if y'all like this I'll continue it feedback always welcome đ€ part 2
Your mother always spoke so fondly of your father, this certain warmth fell over her whenever you asked about him, as if he was the great love of her life, but even at your young age, you could also sense the heavy air of sadness around her whenever you brought him up.
As a child, your curiosity about the man seemed to be never-ending, it didn't help that your mom talked about him, about how you'd meet him someday. She inadvertently set you up, instilling you with this unfortunate expectation of him being just as excited to meet you as you were him.
Having the city's most famous bachelor as a father felt like some weird dirty secret. Seeing him on TV with his adopted kids- how happy they looked filled you with such a profound sense of longing, a feeling you were far too young to understand. TV was the only reason you could even put a face to a name, he was constantly in the news. Your childlike curiosity and fondness for the man soured with each view of him wrapped around some model or cutting some stupid ribbon where the crowd around him applauds every time he so much as shifts.
Your mother never badmouthed him despite the way he so clearly abandoned her, she had this fantasy where he'd come walking in the door declaring his undying love, over the years you learned to simply smile and nod, you knew it was a delusion.
She never allowed herself to move on, it was something you'd forever hold against the man. He'd ruined your mom in a way she was incapable of recovering from and that alone had Bruce on your bad side long before the unfortunate day you were dropped in his life.
The woman loved and raised you as best she could but a single mother forced to support herself through her pregnancy, could only do so much. In truth, you'd been forced to grow up long before you were dumped at Wayne's doorstep. Your sweet mother had been caught in the criminal underbelly of Gotham, something that seemed to happen to many good people in this town, she turned to unsavory means to provide for you and it caught up with her quickly.
She worked double shifts so most days you had to walk home alone, thankfully the local scumbags of your neighborhood had a soft spot for the woman and in turn, you. Despite how dangerous and crime-riddled your neighborhood was, you never felt afraid walking home, not until the day the firetrucks went screaming past you, something about them had your stomach sinking, your little feet pumping faster towards your home, you smelled the smoke before you saw it, and you'll never forget the sight, how dark it made the already grey Gotham skies, how horribly loud the sirens were, the way your neighbor picked you up, shielding your eyes as he pushes you into his chest. You can still remember the heat from the flames as they consumed your small home. You stood unmoving, unblinking as the roaring fire destroyed everything you'd ever known.
To make matters worse, Jim Gordon, the chief of police happened to be the cop on call, and because of that he inevitably noticed something in your eyes, something in your face so strikingly familiar, that despite this being your first meeting, he could feel in his gut he knew you. It bothers him so much that he follows his hunch and does a blood test the second they get you to the station, his theory is confirmed when your DNA comes back matching the Playboy of Gotham City
Jim tries to comfort you but he knows you'll never be the same after losing your mother. He takes you straight to Bruce's door hoping your Father could help soothe the unimaginable hurt you were going through.
Bruce had no idea how to deal with you. In his defense, you happened to come into his life broken, needing guidance and parental love, at the worst possible time, the same day you're plopped at his feet is the same there's a massive breakout at Arkham, the casualties are already in the fifties, not to mention how high that number would jump the longer he left his more worrisome foes out.
In this mess of emotional turmoil, the last thing Bruce needed was a kid plopped in his lap, but it's what he gets. He was seconds from suiting up when Jim dropped you off.
With some half-assed excuse, you don't even really register, Bruce ushers you inside by the wrist only to drop you off with Alfred, he bolts to the batmobile in an effort to not waste any more of his time, knowing he could be saving lives.
He swore to himself once he fixed this problem, he'd give you his full attention, after all, he knew exactly what you were feeling right now, all the confusion and guilt, the anger and despair, he knew he was the one to comfort you, who'd be able to give you the support you needed.
The thing is, problems in Gotham are never truly quite fixed, are they?
Alfred doesn't know anything about your situation other than that you were Bruce's daughter, he can tell you're traumatized by the glossy look in your big eyes, how you limply held his hand as he showed you to the kitchen, he treats you kindly, speaking softly and getting you settled in your too big room in your too big bed, it felt so bare, so empty, it made that hollow feeling in your chest deeper.
This is the first of many nights you cry yourself to sleep.
The next day Bruce officially introduces himself, sitting across from you at a large table, the distance feeling three miles long. You numbly eat, taking small bites, not truly hungry, but you didn't want to hurt the nice Butler's feelings after hearing he made every elegant dish before you. You're still quiet and don't look happy to be here but you respond when Bruce asks you questions, wanting to be cooperative, because, despite the hellish situation, you need a parent right now.
He can only offer you this brief moment of connection before he's called away, Batman's job was never truly over after all. He gives you a stiff pat on your shoulder before leaving, it's the most he's touched you since you've come here.
At that moment, swallowing how uncomfortable you were in your new situation, you stop him with a gentle tug to his arm, eyes teary and wet, your young mind needed the comfort of a trusted adult, needed someone to look at you with a warm smile and tell you it was all going to be okay, but you can't ask for it... The words dry and shrivel on your tongue, so instead you simply stare at him, eyes full of a mix of emotions, silently pleading for him to stay, to hold you, anything, other than walk away.
But he doesn't, what he does is give you that perfect T.V. smile, the one you grew up seeing him give at charity galas and somehow it felt warmer through the screen, he removes your hand gently, "I'm sorry (Y/n), I really have to go, if you need anything at all Alfred can help you out okay? I'll be home soon." The smile he sends you doesn't reach his eyes as he rushes to exit, this is the first time your father breaks your heart.
The second time he breaks it is when he introduces you to some of the rest of his family. Dick Grayson needed no introduction as his adoption into the Wayne family had been heavily televised, his face was the one you were most familiar with, despite this, it was still odd to meet someone you'd grown up watching on your old little television with envy in your (e/c) eyes, the feeling of otherness was only amplified as you walked into the manor's dining room on what looked like a sweet familial lunch, the dark-haired man opens his mouth to greet you but is cut off by Bruce's stern voice, "(Y/n),
The third time Bruce breaks your heart is when Damian arrives, he shows up a good year after you, by now your were closest to Alfred, you'd made a habit of texting Dick and Barbara updates on Bruce and the homes state, considering they didn't live at the manner like Tim, and only ever rarely received texts back from Barbara.
The moment you meet your younger brother you can sense the difference between the two of you instantly. He looks like Bruce, standing tall despite being shorter than you, he turned his nose up at you as Bruce introduces him. Dick is there too, which makes things worse because of the visible effort he's putting into Damian.
You do your best to try to befriend him at first, offering to show him around the large manner to which he scoffs. Like you've offended him with your question.
"As if I need a nobody like you to show me around my home." He never hid his feelings of disdain, often and frequently letting you know just how inferior to him he thought you were, granted at this point Damian thinks this about most people, but it still felt like a knife twisted in your gut each time he ruthlessly rejects you.
It doesn't help that Bruce seems so eager to spend time with him, how they're always together when you had to fight him to spare you five minutes, they bonded so fast, it made your insecurities bubble over each time they scurry off together in a rush, you once grew brave enough to ask them if you can join but the second the request leaves your lips, Bruce is shutting it down.
"I'm sorry, I have business at the office I need Damian for, next time." Bruce says as they leave, his smile just as empty as his promise, the smug look Damian gives you feels like gravel and dirt being smeared into your carved open flesh.
You try to talk to Dick whenever he comes around, one afternoon, the rain is so heavy in Gotham you decide to stay home, a small voice inside you cruelly reminds you it was also a cheap ploy for some kind of attention from Bruce, by the afternoon you figure the school has alerted him of your absence, deciding to face whatever consequences awaited you, you go downstairs, subconsciously keeping your footfall light, a nervous habit you picked up after Damian said you shook the whole house when you walked.
You overhear him talking with Dick in the kitchen when you tiptoe down the stairs, you were quiet, so quiet they don't hear you, "How's the case going?" There was always this audible warmth in Bruce's tone whenever he spoke to Dick, "Fine, I got a lead I'm pretty confident with, gonna-" He stops talking as you step on a creaky floorboard. "My department is pretty confident that is." You round the steps with a small smile, but only Dick returns it.
"Hello, how've you been?" you'd ask earnestly, "Good thanks!" he'd say, but that would be it, the friendly man was never mean to you per se, he just had this terrible habit of forgetting you. You kept to yourself a lot, seeing you so rarely it felt hard not to forget when he had so much going on, not only in Bludhaven but Bruce had been calling him to Gotham more and more to help deal with Damian, he had his hands full, not to mention the sudden rise of crime in Gotham.
Barbara likes you, she really does, but being Oracle took up every moment of her free time, she was a focused woman and people in this town always needed her help. She had a room in the manner dedicated to her vigilante work, the villains were getting bolder and more frequent in their attacks and Bruce needed her help constantly. And it wasn't just him calling on her skills, everyone was constantly asking her for things because they knew she could get them, that's just how she was, everyone but you.
Whenever she was in the manner working, you were always the one to tell her dinner was done or remind her to drink water, and bring her coffee when she hadn't left her office all day, you were reaching out in a way that didn't overwhelm her, like you could see she was stressed, but she was like a horse with blinders on.
Tim meets you while he's still neck deep in his search for revenge against captain boomerang, which unfortunately means he's short-tempered and stuck in a permanent work mode, he's cross with his close family, so it's no surprise he's even quicker to anger with you, you're intentions are as pure as can be, you see him awake late into the night, his bedroom door open, and say genuinely, "It's so late Tim, maybe you should try to get some sleep-"
"Maybe you shouldn't stick your nose where it doesn't belong?" He snaps back without so much as looking away from his screen, he was already on edge, defensive as Bruce had been nagging him all day not to overwork himself, he says this with pure venom, so much irritation and malice it makes your bottom lip wobble, he doesn't see the way you flinch at his anger, the way you sink into yourself.
It seemed like each time you tried to reach out to them, to bridge the obvious gap between you, it just made things worse. His comment hit you like a bus, only furthering the nasty idea that had been gnawing at you since you'd arrived, you didn't belong here.
You didn't belong with them.
When you meet Jason, it's about a year and a half into your stay, you were in the same uncomfy position in terms of your closeness with the Family, or rather lack thereof, and the day you meet, things are bright for the first time since you've moved in. You're in the kitchen making yourself lunch when he stealthily climbs in through the window, this scares the shit out of you, having never met him before, you brandish your peanut butter-covered butter knife towards him, "Woah! Easy there, I used to live here I swear." Jason says clearly amused by your fierce stance, he smiles at you with a warmth you'd grown unfamiliar with, "Shit- sorry I thought you were a burglar or something." You say laughing off your nervousness, dropping the knife in the sink as he leans against the counter.
"And if I was..you planned on buttering me to death?" He teases, you feel yourself snort before you can stop it, "Maybe, consider yourself lucky we never have to find out." This makes Jason chuckle under his breath, it still felt extremely weird for him to be back here, just recently becoming cordial with Bruce, but he enjoyed your company. nonetheless.
"You're (Y/n) right? Bruce's newest kid?" He notices the way your smile falls, how you turn to finish making your lunch, the mere mention of his name seems to deflate your once bright aura. "That's me." You seem to say this with a heaviness that doesn't belong on someone so young, "Who are you?" He scoffs lightly at your question, before leaning over, swiping half of your sandwich with a playful grin, "Wow, they didn't tell you about me? Figures, whatever, I'm Jason." He shakes your hand, and for the first time in years you feel good like you weren't on the edge of fucking something up, but then Jason's watch beeps and he leaves. He gently ruffles your hair, "Good to meet you kid, see you around yeah?"
Jason was like the sunshine breaking through the clouds of your new life, but eventually, his own life gets busier and busier, his monthly visits turn into a short call every once, and not long after, even that stops, he's busy ripping Gotham criminals to pieces, consumed by his rage. He just assumes you're fine, that everything is okay, after all, you never complained about it.
You know something is going on with them, their hushed conversations and seemingly never-ending parade of bruises and mysterious cuts start to add up, the way they disappeared at night, but it's only on your fifteenth birthday that you finally figure out what they'd been hiding. Bruce and Damian suddenly rushed away from your birthday dinner, you turn on the news as Alfred boxes up the mostly untouched food, watching you blow out your candles with a sad smile., Bruce and Damian's portions go cold and untouched.
Batman and Robin arrive on the scene just a few minutes after your father and your younger brother dash away. it's only then do you really notice how similar the dynamic duo looks to your two family members.
This is the final straw, when you realize what they've been hiding under your nose this whole time is.. infuriating to say the least, all of a sudden the isolation and otherness makes sense, of course they excluded you, you weren't a member of their little club. This night is the last you spend yearning for them, the bitter, festering anger that had been building over the years only intensifies as you stew in your rage.

:3c hiii, if it's not a bother, could you write more headcanon's for the cod men as parents? I think I might have died from cuteness overload while reading that one.
ahh ofc!! i've been wanting to write more so this is perfect, thank you <333
đ©âĄđȘ Headcanon: Them As Parents #3
ÊÄÉ Price, Ghost, Soap, Gaz, Roach, Alejandro, Rudy, Phillip Graves, Makarov, Keegan, König, Horangi, Nikto
Price
He adjusted to being a father a lot easier than he thought he would, somehow his kids are a lot easier to keep in line than the tf141
He's constantly announcing every little thing or accomplishment the kid has done, and he forces everyone to listen and they kinda have to because what else are they going to do? Say no? Wouldn't even think or dare to do that
He's just so happy to carry his chunky babies around, and loves it especially when you're feeding them, he smiles endearingly and you're like "what're you smiling for?" "I love seeing my babies growing"
Omg and imagine your babies having that same heartwarming smile he has, awwwww-
Ghost
He knew taking care of kids would be... something
But he sees how hard you work, how late you stay up trying to get the whiny baby to sleep, but he just won't stop fussing and moving and you don't want to wake Simon because he's supposed to be resting from just having come back
But he hears your tired sighs and pleading to the baby to please sleep, so he comes up behind you and gently takes the baby while telling you to go rest, that you need it
And hearing his low, smoky voice gives you such relief you almost cry because you've been sleep deprived
Soap
He taught the boys to show respect and love to you all the time, it's almost overwhelming!
Once a neighbor encountered this scene where Johnny had just gotten back from picking up the kids from school and he ran out the car yelling "Whoever gets to mom first gets to kiss and hug her!"
All three of them practically bolted inside the house and tackled you
And even if they play roughly, getting muddy and dirty they make sure to rinse off with the hose and wait before entering to dry off, they wouldn't want to ruin the effort you do to keep the house spotless, and guests who come over are always surprised at how you manage to keep the place so clean when there's two- well technically three boys with Johnny who hasn't lost his playfulness
Gaz
Can't help but imagine how Kyle would be like with his teen daughter
He loves her to death and would do anything for her, he's interested in whatever she's into and loves going along with her to go out and stuff
Especially if she's a little more on the loner side and doesn't have many friends :(, he'll throw in all his free time to make sure she gets out and has fun
And he's especially protective when someone is interested in dating her, he doesn't take kindly to them especially if he senses some underlying intentions
Closes up, clams up and his kindness and hospitality is gone, only the stone cold faced sergeant
Roach
He's never been a father before, what's he even supposed to do? The most he's taken care of is a hamster and the bug collection that's on display
Probably doesn't really hit him until you really start to show, like he's excited but constantly jumpy at any sign of pain you show, you wince? Should he get the car started? Feel a kick? The baby must be coming, right?
You've had to calm him down, tell him you appreciate his enthusiasm but that he needs to be the one to calm down, probably getting more sentimental than you are right now
Omg and the moment he saw you give birth and hold the baby he was shaking and crying, he couldn't believe he witnessed that, he's staring down at his baby girl and he's thanking you by pressing kisses to your forehead
She's definitely a daddy's girl, always sticking close to him and developing an interest for his same hobbies
Alejandro
I can see this man turning into mother the minute the child is born, like you've already given birth to his kids you've done enough now let him take over
He can cook pretty well actually and loves sneaking up out of bed to prepare the kids breakfast and surprise you by the time you wake up with breakfast in bed
Also, he has to stop his habit of swearing around the kids, most of the time it's in Spanish but your kids will still pick up on it and try using it sentences when it's certainly not appropriate
He's also telling the kids stories of when he was their age that are blown out of proportion, very common for him to exaggerate and add details just to make them gasp and believe it, thinks it's funny because they're so gullible and you're just standing there listening to his nonsense shaking your head
Rudy
He practically melted when you told him you wanted to try for a baby
He's over the moon daydreaming about it, having a mini you and him
The type to be wanting to set up for the nursery as soon as he finds out you're expecting, also he just loves doing things around the house like the malewife he is that you almost suggested he carry to term instead
He'd a daughter and would be the one singing lullabies, cradling her little body gently in his arms as he practically twirls around the room
Just watching that angelic little face that smiles when she wakes up and sees his loving face, he's the happiest man there could ever be
Practically living life through rose-colored glasses taking care of his princesita
Phillip Graves
He was made to father children
Those great genes of him make beautiful, cute babies that get fawned over everywhere you go
Showing off his offspring like if they were his greatest life achievement
He's so proud to have you too, he's bragging how you managed to give him kids and how well you do caring for them and him <3
He loves loves buying them toys of which you constantly scold him for, they've got so many!
Also, refuses to pay for a nanny or babysitter, even for dates you to go off on he'd rather a close family friend if it's ABSOLUTELY necessary, but he's trained and educated his kids so well you two could go to a fancy dinner and they would keep still
Makarov
He's probably always thinking about having more and more kids
Like he can't ever get tired of them, once his first child was nearing teen years and his second and third were already well past their toddler stage he just wouldn't stop bringing the conversation up
Until it's past midnight and kid one will come in saying they don't feel well and ask for medicine, then kid two comes crying because they've just had a nightmare and kid three threw up and kid four made a mess and won't go to sleep-
He's constantly buying them toys when you tell him they had more fun playing with a box and bubble wrap than the expensive playset he bought them, still he doesn't mind letting his money fly when it comes to you or his kids, for that he has no limit
Just shrugs and hands the kid money when they ask for it (wouldn't that be useful?)
Keegan
He wanted one kid only and that's because according to him "kids are too much work", but he pisses you off probably more than the kid
He also gives terrible life advice, telling the kid how to get away with stuff when he thinks you're not listening but suddenly you come around the corner giving him a glare and reminding him if he keeps this up he'll be the one dealing with it because it's his fault
You're surprised your kid doesn't come back seriously injured when they're out with Keegan, not that he's reckless but he tends to show the kid to do things that they aren't exactly ready for... like those huge, sharp pliers you saw barely being held by small, tender hands, you were clutching your chest the entire time scared while Keegan told you he'd be fine, only doing some yard work
König
König as a father is such a common thought in my head, like he becomes 10x more daddy material
Just seeing him come home tired but still clean up and throw on some sweatpants to play with his toddlers who have a ton of energy
And also carry the baby who's less than a year old while sitting on the living room couch watching the others play has you going feral
Just seeing him like that makes you want to birth more babies for him, you're literally begging him to put more babies in you while he softly goes "no"
It's not that he doesn't want more but he sees how hard you work taking care of them and he doesn't want to stress you out :(
Horangi
Poor Horangi finds himself in the absolute weirdest predicaments, one of the girls lost her favorite stuffed toy, last she remembers she had been playing with it outside in the rain
Now he has to spend over an hour outside looking for it in the dark with a flashlight in hand as he searches for the damn thing because otherwise she won't go to sleep, you're inside holding her while she sobs about her plushie
After who knows how long he finds the old thing, it's covered in mud, the fur matted and not to say... foul smelling, definitely needs a good wash, so there he is inside scrubbing it and using a hair dryer because the drying machine would take too long
Until finally, he can hand it over and watch her turn in bed happily snuggling with the stuffed animal
God is it hard to be a parents but it's rewarding and so worth every moment
Nikto
This man gets drunk off the thought of having children with you despite he's always put off whenever you brought the possibility up
Still, he likes to think about it, the chubby hands reaching out for him, a soft voice calling for him, oh and how you'd look... all caring and nurturing towards the little thing
Yeah screw it he wants one or two or-
He just wants it to be his turn, his one chance at a haven
Oh and he's turned into the softest most gentlest creature that there could ever be, he'll silently observe as you feed her, just admiring this beautiful scenery like a painting
One night, Nikto insists on putting the baby to sleep, you let him while you go get ready for bed and when you come back to check on him he's singing in soft tones while placing the already sleeping baby in the crib, you lean on the doorframe careful not to make noise and just enjoy the moment

Heeseung couldnât bring himself to wake you up, knowing you were so exhausted from all the things you had to do.
Not only did you manage to prepare everything for Jiaâs kindergarten, take her there and get to work in time but you also cleaned and cooked in your spare time, leaving little to just sit down and rest, which was why every time you sat down on the sofa, you ended up falling in a deep slumber.
He smiled fondly, covering your curled figure with a blanket and turned around with his hands on his hips âTin Soldier.â
He called with a forced low voice, making Jiaâs attention turn from the toy in her hand to her father, she placed her stocky hand on her forehead, standing at attention âCaptain Hamster.â
Heeseung chuckled at her high pitched voice and scooped her up from the floor, taking her in his arms âMission sweet tooth,â He booped her nose âTime for teeth brushing.â
Jia let out a whine of disappointment âBut I want to play more.â She pouted, and if Heeseung didnât know how much youâd get upset if Jia missed her bedtime, heâd let his daughter play to her heart's content.
âI know,â He pinched her cheek softly, earning a giggle âBut I heard the tooth fairy doesnât come to those who donât brush their teeth before bedâŠâ He trailed off, Jiaâs eyes widened and she quickly climbed down Heeseungâs arms, hurrying upstairs. He could hear her small steps darting to the bathroom, making him smile writhing himself.
He glanced back at you, feeling such an euphoric feeling he thought his heart would explode.
Heeseung walked close to you and placed a featherlight kiss on your forehead, but your momma instinctive feelings made your eyes open up, alerted to your surroundings as you tried to get the sight of your daughter.
âShh..â He soothed, caressing your cheek âIâll prepare Jia for bed, mh?â He kissed the corner of your lips, your eyes already closed under his relaxing touch âYou stay here, I'll take you to bed later.â You just let out a sleepy hum, your eyes too heavy to stay open more.
Heeseung went upstairs, following his daughterâs route and getting to the bathroom where she was already brushing her teeth, probably with a little too much toothbrush but it didnât matter. He was glad she was trying.
Jia rinsed her mouth and opened it to let her father see how much of a good job she did, Heeseung smiled proudly âGreat job, Tin Soldier. It's jammy mission now.â Jia giggled as she hurried off the stool that helped her reach the faucet and took Heeseung's sleeve, dragging him (more like, he let himself be dragged) to her bedroom.
The baby took her pyjama from the chair and placed it on the bed, âDaddy, can you help me?â She asked, clumsily removing her clothes.
Heeseung nodded, smiling as he saw her attempts at changing, despite still not majoring in it. In no time, she was clean and ready to bed, Heeseung tugged her under the blankets and sat by the edge of the bed, only the thin reflection of the pink night light illuminating the room.
They stared at each other for a few moments until Jia spoke âNo bedtime story?â She tilted her head in confusion âYou want me to tell you a bedtime story?â
âMommy always does,â He explained, hugging her purple bear tightly âAnd what kind of stories does mommy tell you?â Heeseung asked, curious
âShe usually recounts Tangled because she like a Flynn Rider.â Jia informed, making Heeseung raise a brow âShe does?â Was it possible to feel jealous of a cartoon character? Probably not but Heeseung was crazy about you, so heâd make it a normal thing.
âYes, but itâs always the same story.â Jia sighed, shaking her head âI want a more interesting one.â
Heeseung stayed silent, his lips forming a thin line as he tried to think âWhat do you want to hear about?â
It didnât take much for Jia to reply âI want the greatest love story of all.â She answered happily, at her age, everything was about fantasies and unicorns.
So, Heeseung tried to think about the many love stories he knew, the famous tales heâd known growing up. There was Cinderella, The Little Mermaid andâŠ. a candle lit in his mind.
âIâll tell you the greatest love story of all,â He started with a cocky smirk âThe best fairytale ever told.â
His words fuelled Jiaâs curiosity as she snuggled better under the blankets, eyes sparkling âThe wonderful love story of Lee Heeseung and L/N Y/N.â
Jiaâs face was puzzled âBut thatâs you and mommy.â She stated and Heeseung nodded, smiling âMommy isnât a princess.â
Heeseung shook his head, but his smile never disappeared from his lips. âNo, sheâs my queen.â He ruffled Jiaâs hair âSo, do you want to hear it?â
âMhmh!â Jia hummed in response âIf mommy is a queen then I am the princess.â Heeseung let out a low chuckle, nodding âYes, you are our dear princess.â
Jia smiled widely, one of those smiles that made your days uncontrollably better and sweeter âTell me, tell me.â She incited her father
âIt all started on..â
âȘ©âȘš
A rainy Thursday afternoon. It was the perfect time for a cinema hang out with friends. You stood in front of the long line, it seemed like everyone had your same idea since both elderly couples and families with children were buying tickets and popcorn. You waved your hand to a young boy who was staring at you while holding a sachet of popcorn bigger than him, he waved back, making you smile.
You turned your head to see that most of the queue was gone, so you surpassed some of those people who never moved and just stared at the menu. You already knew your order, so why would you wait for them to choose?
The cashier who looked like he could really do a vacation asked in a monotone voice âWhat do you want to order?â
âA packet of Twizzlers.â You said but your voice did not seem quite like yours. You turned your head to the side just to meet a pair of big eyes staring at you in disbelief.
You two narrowed your eyes at each other, a staring battle that would declare the winner. Why were you acting that way? Because the packet of Twizzlers was the last one, and if that pretty boy thought he could steal it from you, he thought wrongly.
The cashier cleared his throat. âItâs the last one.â He stated, holding the dear packet of candies in front of you two
âI was there first.â The boy tried to defend himself, making you scoff âHe was talking to me.â You raised a challenging brow.
âI clearly saw you cutting the line.â He blamed âFalse accusation, do you have any proof?â
âYou were at the end of the queue just two seconds ago!â He exclaimed, making you smirk âYou were staring at me?â Pink flashed instantly on the guyâs cheeks âNo.â He tried to mask it, but you could clearly see some frustration in his features
The cashier cleared his throat once again, snatching your attention. âJust decide already, or I will.â
âNo!â You both screamed, side eyeing each other once again âTheyâre mine.â The boy said, making you roll your eyes, âYour name ainât written on them.â
âNeither is yours.â He raised his chin, an attempt to make you see he wasnât backing down.
There was a moment where you two stared at each other, silence filling the place except for the vociferate inside the cinema halls, waiting for the movie to begin.
âRock, paper, scissors!â You both exclaimed at the same time again, showing your hands. He cursed under his breath, seeing your petite hand that represented paper wrap around his closed fist which was rock.
âI won.â You said mockingly, throwing a few coins on the counter and taking the packet of twizzlers in your hand.
You were walking away when the cashier called you âMiss, excuse me?â You turned around and raised a questioning brow
He waved the coins you used to pay for the candies âYouâre missing ten cents.â
You widened your eyes, checking your jeans pockets. You were sure you took the right amount of money, had you miscounted them?
An hopeful grin spread across the guyâs lips, taking the pennies from the cashierâs fingers and walking toward you âGuess this should be mine.â He tried to take the packet of Twizzlers but you moved your arm
He sighed, shaking his head âListen, darlingââ âDonât call me darlingâ You snapped at him, a frown on your face
He placed two surrounding hands between you two âAlright, my bad.â He then pointed at you and the dear packet of candies âYou donât have enough money, but I do, so just give it up and go watch your movie.â
Your mouth fell agape, staring at him in disbelief. However, you had nothing to counterattack anymore and had to stay still when he took the packet, replacing your hand with your not enough coins and paying for it to the overtired cashier.
The boy winked at you before disappearing down the corridor that led to the halls.
A movie just wasnât the same without Twizzlers, but instead of doing twenty cents charity outside the cinema to buy at least a coke, you hurried inside the hall that projected âThe Notebookâ and tried to find your seat, despite the room being dark already. Fortunately, there was at least ten minutes of advertising, so you had enough time to let yourself fall on the seat with a loud thud, earning a few âshhhâs from other people.
âGirl, whatâs wrong with you?â Your best friend, Sunoo asked âWhat took you so long to come back? I thought you got lost or something.â
You shook your head, a defeated expression painted on your face âSomeone stole my Twizzlers.â You fake-dried a tear
âAw, poor you.â Sunoo patted your shoulder, knowing your tradition of eating candies and drinking coke while watching a movie âItâs ok, Iâll share my coke with you.â He took the giant cup and placed it on the armrest between the two of you. You smiled at him and focused your attention on the movie that started.
You felt a familiar scent filling your nostrils, you slowly turned your head and raised a brow when you noticed that not only had that boy stolen your candies, he was also eating them on the seat beside yours. You had not noticed it when you first sat down, but now you could clearly see his silhouette enjoying the snack that shouldâve been yours.
As if feeling someoneâs stare on him, he turned his head and met your angry gaze, his eyes widened a little before they turned into two half-moons, a smug grin on his lips. You exchanged no words but the way he was acting was so mocking it made your blood burn.
You gave your attention back to the film, not wanting to fuel his ego by acting affected by his childish behaviour. Yes, it was childish, but you were more petty so it did anger you. Who did he think he was to act that way?
The movie continued, even if you were painfully aware of the parasite beside you, you were able to follow the whole plot line until the ending scene was replaced with the closing credits. Murmurs filled the cinema room, the lights went on and you heard.
Sunoo was crying rivers beside you which made you chuckle, he had already finished his third tissue when he said âIâll run to the bathroom.â To probably cry some more and try to fix his swelling eyes later. You were about to follow him when you heard a sniffle from your other side, you turned around and your eyes lit up when you noticed the stealer crying.
He raised his head and hid it behind his hands when he noticed you were staring. A heartfelt laugh escaped your lips âDonât laugh at me.â He mumbled with a clear runny nose âYou bet I am.â You sat down again, waiting for all the people to flow out and leave the exits freer âThatâs what you get for stealing my snacks.â
He peaked at you from behind his fingers. âItâs not my fault youâre broke.â You tsked at his false-not-so-false statement âItâs not my fault youâre a crybaby.â
He side-eyed you and you side-eyed him back, just like Sunoo had taught you. The boy tried to dry his tears and runny nose, which was both unhygienic and impossible with one palm of his hand.
You felt a little pitiful for him and sighed, taking a tissue from the small tissue box and handing it to the boy.
He eyed it warily, not sure if he shouldâve accepted it or not. âItâs not poisonous, unlike your germs.â You waved it in front of his face and he accepted it with a groan, blowing his nose and drying his tears.
He crumpled it and put it in his jeans pocket, staring at you while gulping down in a nervous way. You chuckled teasingly âWhat? Is the venom acting up?â
He rolled his eyes and took something from inside his hoodieâs pocket, âI saved this for you.â
You stared at the red candy stick he was holding out for you with a frown âWhat?â You asked, puzzled. Heeseung just sighed, acting unbiased. âI was full, donât think I did it out of kindness.â
âWhatâs your name?â You asked suddenly, making him widen his eyes âCareful, you sound interested.â
You pursued your lips âJust answer, yeah?â The boy placed the candy on your palm, standing up.
You hadnât noticed it, but he towered you by a lot just with you sitting, you didnât imagine how you would have to pull your neck to look into his eyes by standing in front of him.
He stretched, lazily placing his hands in his pocket âHeeseung,â He beckoned to you âY/N.â You replied
âThank you for the tissue, Y/N.â He said and the way your name rolled from his tongue made your stomach turn. Whether it was disgust or attraction, you didnât dare to label.
âUnthank you for the Twizzlers.â You smirked and turned on your heels, walking away before he even had the chance to talk to you more.
âȘ©âȘš
âYou cried over a movie?â Jia asked in an accusatory tone âIâm a sensitive person.â Heeseung huffed, blinking faintly
âI think youâre just a cry baby.â Jia raised her chin proudly âI didnât even cry when I went to the dentist.â
Heeseung sniggered softly, booping his daughter's nose. He couldnât help but always show some sort of affection towards her. The feeling of protection and longing was so strong whenever they spent time together. âOf course, youâre stronger than me.â
âDid you see her again later?â Heeseung nodded âYes, but it was a lot of time later, like one month or so.â Jia widened her eyes âThat much?â He hummed, running a hand in his hair âI was always awestruck when I saw her, it happened at the cinema and againâŠâ
âȘ©âȘš
âA 40, please.â Heeseung forced out a smile and handed the skates to the young girl who just asked. He was supposed to be relaxing at home but his brother decided to have a small trip with his girlfriend and obviously, it was Heeseungâs turn to cover up for him.
He had been handing skates that smelled like sweat and rotten cheese to people for four hours, and the thoughts of doing that for another one and half made him feel sick.
âA 38, please.â Heeseungâs eyes widened at the familiar voice, he raised his head and stared at your face through his bangs.
âYou!â You both shouted at the same time, making the gesture of the Spiderman meme âWhat are you doing here?â He asked, eyeing you up and down.
Perhaps, it was the reddish lightning of the room, or the fact that your hair had grown a little, seeming like the perfect length for you; or the soft make up accentuating your face. Or maybe just the toxic fumes from the overused skates played tricks on his head.
âWhatâs taking so long?â One arm sneaked around your shoulders, making Heeseung raise a brow.
Oh, that was why you were there.
âMy size is hard to find.â You lied, beckoning to Heeseung to do his job. Complying, he turned around and found your skates. passing them to you âRemember to take the safety precautions.â He said the same phrase heâd been repeating so many times and watched as you walked away with that guyâs arm still around your shoulder.
It shouldnât have pissed him off, but it did. The way you smiled with him, helping him skating despite him was a lost case. Seriously, that guy sucked at skating, he had fallen so many times in just one hour.
Trying to distract himself, when he saw you approaching the counter bar, he started polishing the skates, but the urge to just talk to you was strong, so he approached you, sneakingly.
âWhereâs your date?â Heeseung asked, cleaning the table with a sponge near where you were sat âBathroom.â You replied nonchalantly
A soft frown curved his forehead âYouâve been sitting here for fifteen minutes, you sure heâs still in there?â At his words you smirked âYou were staring at me?â Those same two words you told him when you first met.
You added âI saw him sneaking away five minutes ago, I just like to think he had a massive diarrhoea and didnât actually dump me.â
Fucker. If he didnât want to go out with you anymore he couldâve at least told you face to face.
The notes of âShe Will Be Lovedâ by Maroon 5 started playing as background music. Heeseung stared at you, you looked so gorgeous with your makeup, messy hair from the skating and the same bored expression you always wore, like nothing truly entertained you enough.
âWhat a loser.â He joked instead, earning a scoff from you âWhy donât you put yourself to good use and make me a smoothie?â You asked, sliding three coins on the counter.
Heeseung raised a brow, âI donât know how to do it.â You raised it back âDonât you work here?â
He shook his head âIâm just filling in for my brother.â You rolled your eyes âHow useless.â
You were about to take those coins back when Heeseung stopped you, his hands brushing against yours âIâll do it.â You smirked âA vanilla one, thank you.â
It was already late afternoon and the skating room wasnât as packed as it was during the early hours, so Heeseung could put aside the skates sizes to make you a smoothie. Obviously, only to prove to you he was better than you thought, not because he wanted to cheer you up. Not at all.
Fiddling a little bit with the smoothies machine, he managed to make one, a little too liquid, but still drinkable.
He placed victoriously the glass in front of you, adding a straw inside âHere ya go.â You eyed it up and down, warily âDid you spit in it?â
Heeseung put a hand on his chest, acting wounded âYou think so low of me.â You sighed while shaking your hand and took a small sip of the âvanilla smoothieâ
âHow is it?â He asked, hopeful. You just shrugged âNot bad for a newbie.â
Heeseung smirked, leaning against the counter, you could feel his body heat near you âWhereâs my tip?â
You rolled your eyes, pushing him away âNowhere.â
Your phone rang at that moment, you made a gesture for him to keep quiet and answered âYes, mom⊠Yes, I knowâ at the, donât shout, at the skating rinkââ A heavy sigh âOkay, Iâll be home.â
You hung up and hopped off the stool âWhere are you going?â Heeseung frowned, âYou havenât even finished your smoothie.â
âCurfew.â You replied, waving your phone to him. He raised a brow âDonât ask.â
Heeseung nodded, exiting from behind the counter, still in his brotherâs uniform. Now you raised a brow âWhere are you going?â
âIâll walk you home.â You scowled, your face showing surprise âYouâre working.â You stated
Heeseung pointed at the clock on the wall that ticked 06:03 PM. âTechnically, my shift ended three minutes ago.â
âAnd why would you walk me home?â You asked âIf something happened to you on the way, Iâm sure your ghost would haunt me.â
You tsked, âI wouldnât give you the honour to visit you when Iâm dead.â Heeseung just smiled and nudged your shoulder with his âLead the way, Twizzlers lover.â
You just rolled your eyes and walked out as he held the door for you âLetâs go, Twizzlers stealer.â
âȘ©âȘš
âWhy did that boy leave mommy?â Jia asked, her lips shifting to a cute pout âBecause he didnât realise what a treasure your mother is.â Heeseung answered, now sitting beside Jia with her small body curled under his arm.
âAnd you walked her home?â He nodded, laughing at the memories âYour grandfather went crazy when he saw me walk her home, I got a slipper thrown at my head.â
Jia chuckled as well, her soft giggles echoing through the whole room âWhatâs so funny? I got hurt.â
Jia chuckled loudly, hiding her face in her fatherâs chest âGrandpa still throws slippers at you.â She stated, making Heeseung laugh again âThatâs right.â
âWhat happened then?â She asked, wanting to know more about her parents' love story. This was better than any prince and princesses tales her mother used to tell her.
âLater, I was forced to have dinner with them.â Heeseung started narrating, âAfter that awkward meal, me and Y/N grew closer. We kept bickering and fighting, but with her, no conversation was forced.â
Jia frowned âWhat does it mean?â She naively asked, of course she wouldnât know this yet, so Heeseung explained âSometimes, we feel forced to talk to others, however with your mother I didnât even have to think about what to say, words just came to my mind.â
âMommy seemed like she hated you.â The baby stated, glancing up to her father âShe didnât.â
Jia tilted her head âHow do you know?â Heeseung smiled fondly, âI just knew.â
âȘ©âȘš
âThis oneâs for you!â Heeseung exclaimed, throwing the ball to the basket just to painfully miss it. You laughed loudly at his fail âI hope thatâs not how you flirt with girls or that explains why youâre single.â You snickered
Heeseung reached the ball and dribbled it around the court, his sleeves rolled up and his bangs sticking to the sweat on his forehead âOnly with you.â He winked, making you act as if you were about to gag.
âDo you think Iâll be able to enter the collegeâs basketball team?â He asked, his voice sounding a little too serious for his usual playful character.
âWe still have two months to think about college,â You frowned. âLet me live my summer without any thoughts.â Heeseung chuckled and threw the ball at you, which you caught before it landed on your face.
âI know,â He caught the ball you threw back at him âBut I truly want to get a scholarship and maybe become a basketball player.â His tone may have been indifferent but his eyes were full of insecurities that could not could not be ignored.
You had been enemy (friend) with Heeseung long enough to know he had two things he deeply cared for: His family and basketball.
He was the High School team captain but hadnât managed to receive a scholarship to enter the Sports faculty, which meant he had to rely on his own skills and money.
That wasnât a problem, you know his family would always support his dreams, but there was something that Heeseung did not tell you about. You had a feeling, however you didnât want to assume things. Heâd tell you when he felt like it.
Your expression softened, you jumped off the railing and moved closer to him, stealing the ball from his hands, that he let you do, and taking a shot.
The ball entered the basket, making you smile proudly âYouâre the best player I know, Heeseung.â You said honestly, nudging his shoulder with yours. The ball bounced back to you and you scooped it from the floor, placing a hand that signalled to Heeseung to wait there.
You rushed to your bags and took something he couldnât see. He waited patiently, following all your movements.
You turned around and showed him what you didâ holding out his basketball ball with a smiley face drawn on it âYou just have to believe it too.â The smile on your lips matched with the ballâs one, but yours shone brighter. Heeseung felt a warm feeling spread all over his chest, something tickling his heart.
âNot as good as me.â You smirked playfully, taking another shot that missed the basket âCause at least I fail gracefully.â
Heeseung shook his head, his lips curling into a small grin âYou free tomorrow evening?â He suddenly asked and you quickly replied âNot at all.â
Heeseung knitted his brows âWhy?â You sat back on the railing âThe new season of âOne Tree Hillâ is airing, I wouldnât miss it for anything.â
He reached for you, taking the new-styled ball in his hands and rolling it âNot even if I said Iâll buy you Twizzlers?â You pondered a little but then shook your head âNah ah.â
âDamn.â Heeseung sighed, âIâll watch it with you, then.â
You blinked faintly âYou called my series trash yesterday.â Heeseung nodded âWell, they are.â He hopped on the railing beside you âBut when I become the best basketball player in the world, I wonât be able to spend much time with you.â
You smiled, noting how he said âwhenâ and not âifâ âFinally some time away from you.â Heeseung faked being offended âIâll say on national TV that you were about to sabotage my career.â You laughed âIâll be making prayers for your downfall.â
You both laughed at whatever, teasing each other but knowing when to stop not to upset the other.
âEight PM, tomorrow?â Heeseung questioned, âI donât want you in my house.â You answered, laughing âIâll climb the window.â You immediately shook your head, knowing he could manage to do it, because he had tried once âFine, loser. Roast beef for dinner, take it or leave it.â
Heeseung smirked, biting his bottom lip âNot you as a meal?â You widened your eyes, pushing him off the railing âWhat the hell.â
âOuchââ He fell flat on the floor, âThat hurt.â You wiggled your brows âServes you right.â
âOh yeah?â He said, tone flirty as he took the ball and hit you hard with it, making you fall âHow dare you!â You started chasing after him while he ran away.
If anyone saw you from afar, theyâd think you were two people madly in love with each other⊠and you were.
You just hadnât realised it yet.

âYou wanted to become a basketball player?â Jia asked, her voice filled with sleepiness, but she wanted to know how the story continued, so she fought her eyes open.
âYes dear,â Heeseung placed a featherlight kiss on Jiaâs hair. âI played basketball and was the best player in the worldâ or so Y/N thought.â
âBut you donât play anymore.â She stated and Heeseung shook his head in response âNo, I donât.â Jia yawned softly âWhy?â
He sighed sadly, gulping down âBefore I went to college, my mother passed away.â Heeseung held Jia a little tighter âShe had leukaemia, which is a very bad thing,â He explained easily so that his daughter could understand âAnd I needed stability, I needed something that basketball couldnât bring me.â
Jia looked up at him âAnd what could?â
âYour mother.â

You couldnât believe you learned about it two days later. That day was the date of the funeral and you werenât by Heeseungâs side. Truth to be told, you tried to reach for him a lot in the past few days, but his brother either shrugged you off or didnât even answer the door.
You thought you did something wrong, but it turned out his mother died due to the illness that had been haunting her for over a year.
You shouldâve realised it, you should be by his side, giving him the strength he needed to get through it. Which was why you were running despite the pouring rain, trying to reach the location of the funeral.
You didnât care if you were going to be sick the next day, your fixed thought was Heeseung and just him.
Heeseung, on the other hand, had been painfully quiet and shut down. He hasnât comprehended yet that he was going to live the rest of his life without his dear mother, facing the troubles and sufferings of adulthood alone.
The whole room was packed with relatives he had never known about, all giving him pity glances and condolences he didnât need. He just wanted his mother back.
Sighing, he went outside to have some time alone. As soon as he stepped outside, the cold breeze hugged his body, making him shiver. The rain made his suit wet but he didnât really careâ maybe it would take the pain away with its drain.
He stared at the night sky, the moon and the stars watching him back, probably feeling pity for him too.
His heart was heavy and black, full of grief and sorrow. He just wished you were there to make it better. You always did.
Your smile, your playfulness, your sharp tongue. He liked everything about you, even your ugliest flaw.
As he was trying to fill his dull mind with the thought of you, he saw something rushing in the streets, towards his directions.
The figure kept coming closer and closer until a familiar face was lightened from the lightbulb.
There he saw you, standing under the pouring rain, looking ever so dreamlike. There was a moment where you both just studied each otherâs faces, as if you hadnât seen each other in foreverâ which felt like it.
Just a couple of days without you made him realise how important you are, how much he needed you. No words were exchanged, there was no necessity, you hurried your steps toward him and hugged him, your embrace so warm in contrast with the cold weather.
Heeseung let out a sob and then another until he was crying ugly on your chest, all the tears he wasnât able to shed until that day. You rubbed soothing circles on his chest, gripping him tightly, afraid that he would shatter right there.
âW-Why..â He weeped, his voice breaking from the trembling of his lips, due to both the cold and his crying âItâ It was too early.. Why her?â
You let him rumble nonsense, knowing how heartbroken and sad he was, you just held him through the pain, hoping to at least relieve some âI know, but I am here now, I wonât leave you.â
Heeseung looked up at you, his eyes glossy, his whole body soaked and nose reddened. Perfect regardless. You stared at him, afraid that if you blinked he would disappear, and he seemed to be thinking the same thought.
You placed your hands on both his cheeks, your thumb rubbing them. Heeseung gulped down, his long lashes and bambi eyes enchanting you, so mesmerising.
You didnât know what you were doing until you felt his hot breath hit your skin, like one of Jupiter's satellites orbiting around him, getting closer and closer to him.
And then, like a crashing wave, your lips found each other into a gentle and soft kiss, his hands raising to brush against the nape of your neck.
You let out a sigh in his mouth, his hand grasping the back of your head, tilting it to deepen the kiss. It was an anchor that he needed, something not to give up for. You wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing his body flush to yours, both of you warming the other, protecting from the darkness of the world.
He was the first to pull away, his lips swollen as he stared at you âYou donât know how much I waited for this.â He whispered, shaking his head to emphasise his words. Your whole body trembled under his touch, his expression filling with worry âAre you cold? We shouldââ
You shushed him by reattaching your lips together, only one kiss not enough to calm down the desire, âNo,â you murmured on his lips âYou just make me feel so much itâs overwhelming.â He let out a small sigh, nodding as if to say he felt the same. His heart was beating so fast he could feel it in his throat, every best spelling your name.
âThank you for coming,â He whispered and you smiled at him âYou know I wouldnât leave you alone even if I were a ghostâ Sorry!â You exclaimed, realising it was not the best time to bring up the conversation you had at the skating rink.
To your surprise, Heeseung laughed out loud and pressed his lips on your brow, ever so caring âPlease, donât ever lose it.â
Puzzled, you asked âLose what?â Heeseung smiled, âThe spark that makes you, you.â
Your breath caught in your throat, his gaze intense as he studied those same features he knew by heart. You grinned back âIf I had a packet of Twizzlers, Iâd give you the last one.â
Heeseung bit his bottom lip, not able to hide the way his lips curled upwards everytime he was with you. âIf I had a packet of Rolos, Iâd give you the last one.â
âȘ©âȘš
âYou kissed mommy?â Jiaâs voice grew softer every passing minute âYesâ but you canât let a person kiss you until youâre eighteen, understood?â
âWhy?â She asked, playing with the arms of her purple teddy bear âBecause I say so.â
âIs the story finished?â Jia questioned with another yawn, as much as she wanted to hear more, her eyelids were becoming heavier
âIâll make it quick,â Heeseung started, massaging Jiaâs arm. âMommy and I started dating after that kiss, it wasnât official because none of us was truly ready, but we both knew what we had was magical.â He smiled within himself.
âThen, we graduated from college and I proposed to her,â Jiaâs heart-lips opened to resemble an âoâ âWith a ring?â Heeseung dipped âYes, with a ring as beautiful as her.â
âIt was an engagement ring, we made a promise to marry after university, and as soon as we got our degrees, we prepared for the big celebrationâ Your mother looked so perfect by the altar.â
Jia smiled sleepily, imagining how beautiful her mother mustâve looked with the wedding dress on, all candid and white âLike a queen?â Heeseung placed a kiss on her hair âLike a queen.â
âAnd a couple of years later, we had you.â He smiled happily. Heeseung was so satisfied with his life, and even if he had to give basketball up, he felt like he gained more. He had a beautiful wife, always by his side and a perfect daughter heâd protect with all his might (and probably throw slippers at her boyfriendâs too). His heart never felt so full of love and affection, he was accomplished.
âBut the endingâŠâ He turned around to finish his sentence just to see Jia had fallen asleep, her breaths shallow and calm. He tugged her better under the covers, standing up from the small bed, feeling a little sore but joyful ââŠStill has to be written.â
He placed another featherlight kiss on her daughterâs forehead, whispering a gentle âGood night.â Before exiting the room.
He closed the door behind her back, hurrying downstairs with light steps. Heeseung saw you were still fast asleep on the couch. He removed the blanket from your figure and hooked his arms behind your neck and knees, scooping you from it.
You blinked your eyes open, your arms instinctively wrapping around his neck âHee?â You murmured, your voice laced with sleep.
âHey, love.â He nudged his nose with your cheek âTime to get to bed.â You hummed, snuggling closer, hiding your face in the crook of his neck.
Heeseung opened the door to your bedroom with his foot and slowly placed you down on the mattress. You opened your eyes again, staring at him through your half-lids âJia?â Heeseung smiled reassuringly. âSheâs sleeping, just finished telling her a story.â
He laid down beside you, wrapping the cover over your two figures, he shifted closer to you, holding you close âWhat story?â You asked, your voice hoarse âJust the best story ever.â He placed a sweet kiss on the corner of your lips
âBy the way, Iâm a better storyteller than you.â He bragged and you scoffed âLiar.â
âMaybe,â He chuckled, wrapping both his arms around your body âBut do you know one thing I never lie about?â
You shook your head âIâd give you my last Rolo.â You smiled, he could feel it on his chest âIâd give you my last Twizzler too.â
