Doing this post to explain what lots of people missed on the Cait x Maddie thing and are just angry and freaking out about the character and not understanding WHY and also show that they already broke up and will not be danger on act 3 (srly I really believe on this and feel like we all missed because is a small scene).
So here is a explanation on WHY, because I'm going crazy that you'll missed lots of things.
Some of the explanation that I'll put here we got from Amanda Overton itself (you know, one of the writers of the show) on the epi4 watchalong party (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgpWJl1NuTE) the rest is showed on the episode 4 itself so here we go (Also SPOILERS FOR ACT2 here):
First, Amanda told us that the time skip from Act 1 to Act 2 is between 3 and 6 months, is not bigger than that like some you are saying. What is very helpful to know that Cait x Maddie affair also isn't happening for so long and we get this information from Ambessa herself when meeting them on Cait's office:
Caitlyn didn't rebound imediatly after the breakup, her thing with Maddie is recent, a few weeks at maximum or one or two night stands. Yes guys, you can stop being mad thinking that she fucking Maddie for months.
Also a important piece of information that again, Amanda shared, is Caitlyn's mentality about this relationship:
She is not after Maddie because she felt for another person, Caitlyn is struggling to live up to the ghost of Cassandra, she is trying to be the daughter she never was and this affect's even who she dates.
Amanda literally told that in Cait's mind she is thinking: "What if I dated someone my mom would approve of?"
Lot's of people think that Cassandra approved Vi because of the council scene but in Caitlyn's mind that's not the truth. Maddie is someone who would be approved, she is from piltover, probably has some family name and has a good job.
With all that, why a sex scene ? Well is very clear that Caitlyn is not able to be vulnerable anymore, the only one she let's under her wall's after her mom's death is Vi and it was already hinted that for Caitlyn's flirting with woman casually was a natural thing.
The only way for her to "date" someone without being able to be vulnerable, is by the thing she knows she can separate her feelings and don't need to be vulnerable to do it: sex. And we can in this case considerate that sex is also a way for her to cope with all like Vi does with alcohol.
Also even after having sex with Maddie, Cait clearly don't want the girl touching her and this is show not only by her expressions:
But also on the way both are dressed, Caitlyn's is untouched and clothed while Maddie is basically naked under her shirt and messy, giving a subtext of Cait being a top on this encounter so she can evade Maddie's touch.
And right after the scene we can see that Maddie herself KNOWS that Cait is evading her and not wanting to be touched, she KNOWS something is wrong and that Cait seems to not listen to her.
Other information that is given by Amanda, is that Ambessa is supposed to be the devil on Caitlyn's shoulder while Maddie is to make the position of a angel. The character exists to show that Caitlyn wasn't alone against Ambessa manipulation and make clear that she has some foot herself to be able to see what is right and wrong and later realize her wrong doings and fix that.
And now comes the part I feel like most people missed and are worried about in act3.
Maddie and Cait already ended their relationship, how I know? the statue scene:
Here we can see again Maddie looking up for Cait but Cait not acknowledging the girl existence until last minute when seems like Maddie told something.
Caitlyn's expression again is cold and then we can see Maddie's:
She is thinking and ready to cry and also show some hurt. She probably is ending things with Cait because the next time we see Cait. Is from Maddies eyes, something that fortiche does a lot and did on that very famous CaitVi bed scene. And this time is done again but we are looking at Caitlyn from Maddie's eyes:
The upper and low corner's are blurry, as if Maddie is almost crying. Also we can see Cait looking the ground and thinking on the next frames, as if reacting to something said to her.
And here is their breakup.
Yes is not a spoken scene, but considering how small her relationship is to Caitlyn, makes sense for things to end and Cait not really give much thought about it.
After that we NEVER see Maddie anymore, she is not on the side of Caitlyn for the rest of the act, and also Cait is always using her Commander cape after this scene, what makes clear: She is totally on the side of Ambessa, the devil won and the angel left.
And this cape is another thing that is used to reflect Caitlyn's mental state and choices, because we only see her back to her uniform without the cape, when she decided to ally with Vi by the end of the Act 2
I understand people who got annoyed by having "another one" in the middle of CaitVi ship and yes I know everybody worry about this making messy their reunion, but I feel like most people forgot that in Arcane, and on this season mainly, lots of things are being show by the art and animation and not by text, like the statue one.
Srly guys CaitVi will be alright, Maddie is not a horrible characters and this was not a bad choice to show Caitlyn mental state and character development. I understand being bitter with the angst but also let ourselves enjoy it a little.

Ahhhh yes I'm so excited that you're writing spencer! Could I request something with a reader who's also considered "weird" by people (aka neurodivergent) and it gets them down but spencer doesn't think they're weird obviously and maybe they bond over that? I hope this makes sense 🩷 love ur fics!!
hope this is okay :) spencer reid x gn!reader. rude cop alert, reader feels down about not picking up on invisible social expectations/cues, Spencer comforts them. ty for requesting!
****
New crime scenes make you lock in and hone your attention. You've always done that. Ever since you started at the BAU, that's meant that you break some invisible rule more often than not.
You approach the cop who called in the case from behind. "When did you find the—
He flinches, dropping his clipboard. Immediately, he rounds on you, annoyance palpable.
"Jesus, knock much?" he asks, brow low with frustration. "Sneaking up on people in this line of work is a bad habit."
"I'm sorry," you say, not quite sure what you're apologizing for. "When did you—"
"And who are you, exactly?" he interrupts, looking you over. "Selling cookies?" He laughs at his joke.
You push through, showing your badge and saying your name. The cop snorts.
"FBI, huh? Wouldn't have guessed. You don't act like it. You know you're supposed to sign in, right?"
"Yes, I know. I've been here for ten minutes," you say. You can't pinpoint exactly what you sense, but you recognize the tone someone gets when they're making fun of you.
"Ten minutes?" The cop looks past you. "I didn't see you."
"I signed in at 8:14."
You've learned that being precise is very important because it makes people more likely to believe you. Sometimes your precision puts people off, but you have to show them that you pay attention, lest they have any doubts.
"Uh-huh. Look, is your supervisor here? Someone in charge? I need to give this report to someone."
"You can give it to me. I was assigned to this case," you say.
He snorts. "Right. First time sniffing around a murder case, rookie?"
You blink, confused. "No. This is my thirty-third case."
He's about to respond when Derek interrupts. He flashes his badge, says his name, and the cop clearly respects him, straightening up.
"What have we got here?" Derek asks, and the cop launches into the explanation you've been wanting since you started the conversation.
You get that prickling sensation on your neck, that feeling of humiliation when you've missed some cue. Your first thought is that maybe the cop doesn't respect younger agents, but it's more than that. It's always more.
It's always something you've done.
You slink away, and Derek doesn't even glance at you, which is fine. He's busy. You won't take it personally.
You drift over to Hotch and Spencer instead. Hotch is talking to a witness who heard the gunshots. Spencer is supplementing his questions with information about how bullets splinter different types of wood. He looks at you as you approach and that instantly makes you feel better. Spencer never ignores you.
"Thank you very much," Hotch finally says, touching the witness on her arm briefly. "We'll call you if we have more questions. Someone will drive you home. If you'll follow me out."
She follows Hotch and then it's you and Spencer.
"What do you think?" you ask.
He shrugs. "Too early to tell. The witness said she heard sounds after the shots that she didn't recognize. What did the officer say?"
You shrug. "I don't know. Derek's taking his statement."
"I thought you were," Spencer says in confusion.
"I tried to, but he wouldn't talk to me. He said I don't act like an FBI agent. Called me a rookie."
It's part of the job, these kinds of interactions. Not every government worker is the nicest.
"I don't understand what's wrong with me," you say before Spencer can say anything. It's too honest for a crime scene. Anyone else would be annoyed by your whining.
Spencer shakes his head. "Nothing's wrong with you."
"I feel like there is," you say quietly.
Spencer's the only one who understands. He's been called every name under the sun. He's so smart, and you're always in awe at how smart he is, but, according to Hotch, some people get intimidated rather than awed and say mean things as a result.
You're not a genius like Spencer, though. You're just an agent. You're fine at your job, but sometimes you don't even get the chance to demonstrate that. You have no idea what makes you fumble simple interactions like taking a statement.
"So he made it seem like you're inexperienced," Spencer says.
You nod. "I don't know why. I went to him, about to ask a question, but I guess I startled him. He snapped at me to not sneak up on people. Then I apologized. People like when you apologize, right?"
Spencer shrugs thoughtfully. "Sometimes. Apparently, it's a very fine line between when you should and when you shouldn't. Did you introduce yourself and ask his name?"
You frown. "Later, I did."
He hums. "Apparently, people don't respect our authority unless we're flashing it obnoxiously. That's what Penelope told me. Take a page out of Derek's book."
You both look at Derek, who's got his hands on his hips, posturing like he's in a procedural drama. Spencer shares in your laughter. It's like drinking the sweetest, richest cup of hot chocolate when Spencer looks at you like that.
"Do you do that?" you ask, smiling.
"Ah, apparently, I haven't quite nailed it. I'm the least approachable agent on the team, according to a DEA agent."
Your face falls. "I think you're approachable."
Spencer lifts his hands as if to say, what can you do? Maybe you should be the same. It's just so hard.
"I can't do anything right," you blurt, sobering up. "There's so many rules, Spencer. I just want to solve cases. Isn't that why we're here? That's why I went to the cop in the first place."
You feel babyish for complaining. You know what someone else would say: suck it up. But this job sometimes feels like you're on the field playing baseball, and everybody else is playing chess. No one else seems to struggle with the invisible rules of being an agent. No one except...
"Yeah, but to that officer, it's also an assertion of power," Spencer says. "He's the kind of person who only responds to perceived authority. He didn't perceive authority from you, even though you have it, because you wouldn't be here if you didn't. So, he thinks you should've cowed to him and flattered him with inane niceties to get the information that you deserve to know to begin with."
You blink. "Really? All that?"
Spencer nods. "I've known lots of people like him. Classic law enforcement personality. For the record, I think it's stupid. You're smart, and you're good at your job. You shouldn't have to make yourself smaller to get people to do what's expected of them."
"I wish I could do something quiet," you say morosely. "Do autopsies or something. Stay out of the way."
Being quiet is easier. You work in a place where some talking is necessary, but it's also not strange to think quietly for periods of time. And people can't get mad at you when you're quiet.
But then, you really love the BAU. You'd hate to be transferred. You'd hate to be away from Spencer Reid.
"I don't want you to be quiet. You're good at what you do here," he says. "Don't let an insecure person make you doubt yourself. Also, you're not inexperienced: you've solved thirty-three cases."
"Tell me more about bullets and different wood types," you say.
You grin. There's nothing quite like being seen.
Spencer's face lights up, and you suddenly feel more sure that this is exactly where you're meant to be.

All this and I would invite everyone to consider the ways in which our ideas of how a "good" story must be paced and concluded, etc and the fact that any piece of art that gets known well enough for many people to experience it in this day and age does so because it can be marketed within capitalism plays directly into this trend.
Earlier this year, I read a book called Notes from the Burning Age by Claire North. It was fantastic. Imagine an antifascist solarpunk spy thriller with the spiritual/philosophical underpinnings of a Miyazaki work like Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa.
But the thing is, a HUGE central theme is the importance of placing the narrative of the collective over hero narratives and great man theories of history. There's also a lot about how some knowledge (like technology to kill massive amounts of people at once) is not good and should be carefully safeguarded, and yes there are questions about who you let so the safeguarding but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. And how does the novel resolve its primary conflict? (Spoilers)
The main character hatches a heroic plan all on his own to use forbidden dangerous knowledge to blow up an army, including the mastermind behind the spread of fascism, and thus ends the war.
There's also something very much to be said about the way that the novel builds up the dynamic between the main character and the main antagonist such that the BEST POSSIBLE NARRATIVE EXPLANATION for the main antagonist's behavior at times is, "Well he's obviously in love with the MC." And I promise that I am not just reading that into the situation. Go read it and you'll see. It's a phenomenal book, in spite of the points I'm making about it here, and that's kind of the point.
Claire North wrote a book about the dangers of having soll heroes in which the main character saves the day by being a solo hero. She also wrote a book where the main antagonist is definitely in love with the main character, and there was room to say some VERY poignant things about masculinity and sexuality and fascism there, but instead she shoved a female character in the middle in a way that really feels like she just hadn't considered that A.) her antagonist could be evil and horrifying and also so deeply in love with her main character that he might even be willing to sacrifice goals and ambitions for this guy, or simply B) either one of these characters could be gay or bisexual.
It's difficult to say, but either way it seems related to a lack of ability to think outside of conventional narrative structures. In the same way, conventional storytelling wisdom says that a thriller like this needs a big climax, and in general that the main character must be a hero. So, the story ends in a big explosion with the main character becoming the exact kind of solo hero he was so opposed to the idea of throughout the entire book. The narrative contradicts the themes.
That doesn't mean that it wasn't an amazing book that invites readers to consider a very different perspective on the world. It just means that you need to bring your critical thinking cap when you read it. Which you should always be doing to some extent anyway.
The cultural ideas of what a story is supposed to look like can heavily impact what a story manages to say, either because the author doesn't consider alternatives or because editors and other gatekeepers to publishing that story say it won't sell if it isn't shaped a certain way. So keep that in mind while consuming works of art, and ask yourself, "What might this have looked like if the author had realized that other shapes were possible?*
i wish people could understand that it's fine to love a story for its insane or fun character/relationship dynamics and tight plot and themes that resonate with you (or gameplay/visuals/prose/whatever specificity its medium has) without trying to pass it off as anti imperialist or anti capitalist when its politics are vapid at best or use radical language as cover for its very liberal view of the world. and no im not simply talking about brotherhood or arcane here but a lot of shows/games that talk a big game about Empire and its horrors only to flop terribly on it, but still be appealing for other reasons

Hiii! I was wondering if you can make the members give niki “the talk”
The Talk - Nishimura Riki
Riki walked into the living room of his dorm to see literally all of the other members gathered up there. It wouldn't be so weird that they were all there if it weren't for the way they were all eyeing him.
He'd just gotten back from spending time with you and they all knew he was out with you so he didn't get what all of those looks were for. It wasn't like he'd just gone out with no explanation and left for hours.
"What?" Riki asked, immediately sensing something was up.
"Come sit down, dude." Jake said.
Riki walked into the living room and plopped down on the couch, "What's going on?" He asked.
"We just wanted to talk to you about something." Jungwon told him.
"Is it something with work?" Riki asked.
"No, it's nothing like that." Jungwon answered.
"We just want to come to you as your friends and also your hyungs." Heeseung spoke up.
"About what?" Riki sighed, wanting them to just cut to the chase already.
"So, you know Y/n, right? And how she's your girlfriend?" Sunghoon started. Riki just shrugged, giving him a "No shit" look. "And like, how boyfriends and girlfriends like, have sex..." Sunghoon continued.
Riki groaned out, immediately knowing where this was going.
"We just wanted to make sure the two of you were being safe." Jay spoke up. "Have you guys...?" Jay trailed off but everyone knew what he was referring to.
"I don't see why you guys need to know that." Riki said. Your relationship was private to him, especially your sexual ventures. He wasn't the type to talk about that stuff with the other members because he felt it was unnecessary, especially when in a committed relationship. That was just him, though.
"Fine. But, like, hypothetically, if you two were, you'd have to be careful and wear a condom." Jake spoke up.
Riki looked away from all of them, he couldn't believe they were having this conversation right now. "Dude, obviously."
"Plus, you're still young, hell, we all are, so don't be doing anything stupid and end up getting her pregnant right now." Heeseung added.
"She's not going to get pregnant." Riki defensively said, just wanting this conversation to be over with.
"Is she taking birth control pills?" Sunoo asked.
"It's none of your guys' business." Riki tells them all.
"You're right, you're right." Jungwon agrees. "We just want you to be mindful, that's all." He adds.
"I am. We are." Riki tells them. "Is that all?" He then asked.
The other members all looked at one another before nodding, "Yeah." Heeseung responded for them.
"I'm going then." Riki started to leave the room.
"Please don't be having sex when we're here. No one wants to hear you guys doing that." Sunghoon calls out making Riki groan as he goes into the room and shuts the door before texting you all about the members "talk" with him.

Sorry I'm actually obsessed with the Daiyu-Baoyu theory and I'm rotating it in my head forever. I'm not sure if I'm actually onto anything here but when thinking about it I recalled this CG from the TGS trailer
and I remember thinking about how odd this picture seems because it's so Un-Hong Lu-like. Because from what we've seen, Hong Lu has never even gotten close to being this angry. And yet, they showed us this picture in a trailer before the game even released. It's obviously something they wanted us to see and keep in mind. But so far, there doesn't seem to be anything we can think of that can draw this kind of reaction out of Hong Lu, who seems to just redirect or avoid upsetting topics altogether.
When reading your theory, I remembered this CG and noticed that he's facing the right, meaning we can't see his jade eye. This isn't the first time they've obscured something important from us in the trailer (e.g., Don Quixote's eyes), so it's not a stretch to say they're intentionally hiding his eye. This suggests that something might be up with it in this scene that we aren't supposed to know yet, like, for example, being removed.
If we assume that Baoyu's memories are in his eye, which has been put in Daiyu's body, as well as Kurokumo Hong Lu's attitude being the most Daiyu-like, then it would explain this CG a lot better, because it's not really Hong Lu or Baoyu. It's Daiyu.
Sorry for the very long ask, I got excited. Again, I'm really just rambling and speculating. What I do know is that I'm really enjoying this theory, and thinking about writing a fanfic with the premise because it is so fascinating to me!
Funny you bring up that CG in particular, since the subject of it has come up on this blog before! That being said, I unfortunately can't find the exact post where I talked about it, so I might as well do so again - especially since we now also have more insight on Hong Lu as a characer.
The full CG that cut-in comes from can be seen in the Story Demo video for the Alpha Version of Limbus, as a preview CG for the 1-5 node on the very early version of Canto 1's Story Node map.
Notably, this CG does not appear in any Cutscene/Story Demo videos post the TGS Teaser, meaning the CG must have been scrapped at some point between that Alpha Version demo and the post TGS Teaser demo. Whether it was scrapped after it was used for the Teaser, meaning it was still part of the story at the time, or whether it was scrapped before but PJM decided something about that particular image of Hong Lu was important enough to the Teaser to include it anyway, is something I don't think we'll ever know.
Unfortunately, with how early the CG seems to have originally been placed in the story, I doubt it has anything to do with Daiyu specifically. However, I do now have my own theory of what that cutscene might have entailed, as well as why that would contribute to it being scrapped.
Judging by the leftmost panel, it's easy to deduce this was where Yuri's backstory was originally meant to be explained, as in the whole site burial and survivor's guilt thing would be brought up. The fact that the explanation would later be moved to be inside the Dungeon rather outside would on its own be a good reason to scrap the CG, but there's something else about it that I realized only recently.
In the game proper, Yuri reveals her trauma almost exclusively to Gregor (and initially Ishmael), as all the other Sinners have already passed out due to the gas grenade. However, in the hypothetical scrapped scenario where the reveal came outside the Dungeon, every Sinner would have a chance to hear it and react to it.
So, what kind of reaction would fit the other two panels on the CG? The middle panel of Rodya comforting an uncomfortable looking Yuri while Hong Lu looks innocently confused, followed by a panel with the angriest looking Gregor we've ever seen clashing with the angriest looking Hong Lu we've ever seen?
Here's what I think could have originally happened in that scene (and this is Entirely Speculation, we have no proof of this actually being the case):
I believe, after sharing her story, especially the point about trying to escape the site burial, Mr. Hong 'I am always ready to accept my own death' Lu would act confused and ask something along the lines of "Why didn't you just stay?" or a variant of such. Why didn't you just accept it, why didn't you just let it happen, why did you try to fight it, etc. Essentially asking why, if Yuri was going to feel such guilt for surviving the ordeal, would she ever bother trying to survive in the first place.
This would, understandably, piss Gregor the fuck off, as he himself holds a good deal of guilt for the fact he participated in the War and survived through it. There's a high chance of him trying to verbally rip into Hong Lu, to tell him that he has No Idea what it's like to have to live day by day trying to survive just long enough to see tomorrow, what it's like to have one's life turned into hell without them having any choice on the matter, what it's like to feel the need to run away despite knowing that it will leave them with the guilt of not being able to save anyone else. He's some sheltered rich kid after all, how could he know what it's like to actually suffer?
And I think something like that would be enough for Hong Lu's facade to crack. Because no, Gregor is wrong. Hong Lu knows exactly what it's like, more than anyone should know he does. He might not even be responding with much in this cutscene, even just a hostile "You know nothing about me and my life." would be enough to set the tone. That whatever is going on behind that smile of his is so much worse than what it seems.
...And that's why I think it was scrapped. Because a peek behind Hong Lu's mask in Canto 1 would be too early.
Hong Lu's slow unraveling of his lies is just that - slow. It took us until Just This Recent Canto to get a somewhat clear confirmation that no, the info he gives about his Family is not to be trusted. It took until Canto 3 to see him be the only Sinner actively willing to lie and until Canto 4 to show us he's a good actor. Revealing that Hong Lu has a very different side to him underneath the curious cheerful persona as early as Canto 1 would completely alter the pacing and trajectory of his arc. You'd have a reason to suspect him from the beginning, rather than have a chance to be just as fooled by him as Dante and the other Sinners are.
So no, I don't think that CG is meant to show Daiyu. But I do think that CG was meant to be our first hint to the fact that Hong Lu isn't being honest with the others, at least until it was decided it was too soon for such a reveal.

Hate annons? Really hon? [Aka my opinion with new evidence] (y'all might need a snack for this)
okay, mod speaking. So. I know I said I didn't want any drama on this blog.
BUT THE MOMENT I FOUND OUT MY FRIEND WAS STILL GETTING HATE ANNONS , IM GOING FULL ON DETECTIVE MODE!
This post is about @/unhinged-waterlilly, and oooh boy am I going to be getting so much hate for this. But. I am fine with hate asks. Just don't be a coward and don't put annon on. I am a minor, and if you decide to harass me about helping a friend, here we go.
My points against her:
1 she sent, and still sends hate annons (which hurts his mental health)
2 she accused jacks bf (freddy) as being fake
So. I saw a post a while back where "lily" said things about the jack situation, and I thought it was fair. UNTIL I REACHED THE PART WHERE SHE SAID THAT JACK DIDN'T DESERVE ANYTHING HE HAS look, I know that he hurt you with the AU , it hurt me too, but going so far to say that he doesn't deserve anything he has??? That's petty and mean.
Not to mention that he was in a shit mental state at the time he made the AU. Which obviously does not excuse anything, but it atleast explains it.
also, onto evidence number 1:
HATE ANNONS;
Now, this is just one of 3 hate annons Jack got this week. Yes, Jack is aware that he has hurt people, yes he is actively striving to better, so sending these hate annons won't help Jack not being , and I quote : "a depressed little attention seeking bitch" he has owned up to his mistakes, and I've advised him to put the explanation on his blog. And since he is try I ng to be better, he is focusing on himself, his mental health, and moving on.
BECAUSE MOVING ON IS HEALTHY
Me and jacks others moots are aware that no one forgot what he did , that he hurt people. But all that you can achieve by hurting him is a short adrenaline rush, that won't be worth it coke a few days. He is actively trying to become a better person
ALSO I am aware that since this is an annon, it's hard to prove this was actually lilly. But if you were to compare this to her other posts about Jack, you'd see it is very close.
Numero 2
ACUSSING FREDDY OF BEING FAKE:
There were multiple posts accusing Freddy, jacks bf, of not being a real person. Now. All of jacks moots know he is real, due to Jack making posts about him, and him telling us about him and what happened. And honestly? It's plausible that Freddy knew how to use tumblr , because it only took me a day to figure it out
Okay, and now this:
okay, let me get this straight. What jack did was wrong. We all agree on that , including Jack. But he was in a shit mental state while doing it, and he wasn't thinking clearly. Jack is trying to improve, Jack is trying to better himself, Jack is moving on and like a few posts say we all should.
But we can't truly move on 'till Jack stops getting hate, till we apologise and understand and hear out, not necessarily forgive his actions
ALSO
From: @eligha-child-of-hades
A while ago when I recently started this account I got an ask with a link. The link led to @/unhinged-waterlily account and their intro post which had something about the MISTAKE that Jack made.
But with the ask, I didn't click it so I answered with a; ?
Bc I don't trust random links.
They sent another ask with the same link saying this exact thing; 'I suggest you read it. Better to know who you interact with.'
She says this, but she fails to inform others that she's hate bombing and hurting Jack.
Woukd you rather rp with someone whose trying to change? Or someone whi is causing someone more harm?
I'll be getting hate for this. I know I will be harassed and sent hate annons. But it will be worth it. If he can move on, but you can't, if you hold on to anger, and he doesn't.
Then aren't you also doing bad things?
@sillypuppetmeister @braydons-world @penelope-is-waiting @bast-the-best26 @reyna4ever @gaygirldoodles

I'm currently working on my third rewatch of A New Wish on Netflix (as one does) and I have a theory about Wanda and Cosmo's apartment.
When Hazel first sees it in episode one they explain that they have a spell on the door that allows them to chose what world they go out to but the house stays in Fairy World. This way they can try living as humans without giving up their home.
I think Cosmo and Wanda's 'apartment' is their castle from the original show.
In case you didn't watch the OG show here's the context. When they were with Timmy, Wanda and Cosmo spent a good chunk of their time disguised as goldfish and living in a fish bowl in Timmy's room. But in one episode it was reveled that they have a giant castle in there in the form of one of those plastic castles you can get at the pet store.
Basically, I think that they did something similar in the OG that they did in ANW. I think that while they were with Timmy that had the spell on the door so that it lead to the fish castle that was in the bowl
"But Wanda and Cosmo's apartment doesn't look like their castle!" You might be saying, and don't worry. I got an explanation for that too.
We only ever see one room of their 'apartment' and everything in it is human sized, this is likely because Cosmo and Wanda are living as humans. So it would make sense that the front room is human friendly.
Plus, it looks like their home is way bigger than we ever get to see. Down below is a screenshot from the first episode when Hazel first sees their apartment. This is also the only time we get to see the entire thing.
If you look over by the front door (where the characters are) you'll see a staircase. I think this is what leads to the rest of their castle and everything up those stairs is, probably, fairy sized.
Honestly, this makes so much sense to me and I don't know why anyone else is talking about it! Why would Wanda and Cosmo live in a boring human apartment when they got a whole freaking castle??
(Spoilers for the second half of season 1 ahead)
Not only that but after Peri and Dev 'break up' it's implied that Peri went back to live with his parents for a little bit. I feel like he would only do this if they had the room. And with him being their son he would, of course, have a whole bedroom that he could easily stay in again.
And let's be honest, Peri could totally just move back in without asking anyone and Wanda and Cosmo would be thrilled!

I think Dazai's backstory is really cool in how, despite having more information about it than most other characters, majority of his life is just one giant noodle incident.
Yep, that's the line I'm going with as an introduction to this analysis. Just bear with me.
To start off, for those who don't know, the term "noodle incident" originates from the (amazing) comic Calvin and Hobbes. In it, the whole idea is that Calvin did this unspecified thing in school that involved noodles, but it's never confirmed what exactly happened. It's only referenced in passing, and it is clear that it was not good. Applied to general fiction, the term Noodle Incident refers to an event that is often referenced, but never clearly explained, and what is important is the characters' reactions and feelings towards it. The principle idea behind it is that imagining what said incident could be is way more significant and impactful than anything it would actually be if it was said. It's not the event that's important, but the effects and responses to it are. *for more info, I recommend Overly Sarcastic Productions trope talk video about it*
Now, how this plays into Dazai's life is that, while it is extremely evident that he likely has a horrible, tragic backstory, we never really get to see much of it. The earliest we are introduced to him, he is already suicidal, and he has lost most in hope in existence. These feelings are tempered a bit when he first joins the Port Mafia, but they come back all too quickly. And while you could argue that him being in the Mafia is a large contributor to his depression, the main reasons why he seeks escape clearly transpired before he ever met Mori.
Dazai was already trying to commit suicide at fourteen, which is how he met Mori. Something happened earlier in his life, but we don't know what. Asagiri himself says that he left Dazai's core, the reason he wants to die, vague on purpose. We aren't given many details, and honestly, we aren't given much backstory to it either. The two biggest hints that we get is when he is speaking to Odasaku. First in The Day I Picked Up Dazai, and the second from Dazai and the Dark Era.
We have no idea who or what Dazai is referring to. From all that we have seen, all the backstories and light novels we are given, the only people that we know of whom Dazai actually lost were Ango and Odasaku-for Ango, it was that special friendship, and Odasaku, it was his life. And even so, it isn't much of an explanation, because he was obviously suicidal before he met them, as evident from how he speaks to Odasaku, and losing them wasn't a catalyst for Dazai's depression. (As a matter of fact, it was actually the first step towards improvement, but that's a different analysis).
Yet for how much we don't know about Dazai's life, I think it's done in such a way that it doesn't really matter. It's a noodle incident, in that sense. Because it's not about the events that actually transpired, it's about how that affects Dazai and the way we see him. Don't get me wrong, I would love a full, confirmed backstory, but Asagiri doesn't seem to intend to write it, and that makes Dazai's character so beautiful. It's also one of the reasons why the dark era, especially the light novel, is so tragic. Because yes, you can argue that as far as tragic backstories go, losing two friends isn't near the most awful, especially not in this universe (I'm not trying to play the "which character has more trauma" game, but compared to, for example, growing up in an abusive orphanage, it's relatively not as inherently tragic. That doesn't make it any less horrible though). But the point of the backstory isn't just to explain the reasoning why things ended up the way they did, why Dazai left the Mafia, boo hoo his friend died, but Odasaku and Ango represent everything in Dazai's life, everyone from his past we never got to meet and I'm not sure if we're ever going to. They symbolize all the things in his life that mattered to him, everything he never wanted to lose but did. The last scene in the bar, where the three of them meet up for the last time, Ango leaves, the picture with the three of them laughing and smiling, the whole thing is meant to serve as a microcosm for Dazai's life as a whole. That he feels he's always going to lose everything, and that's why he wants to die. We don't get details, we don't know the specific events, but we're left with the emotions that gives us an important glimpse into this character's mind, more than his life, and that's what makes him such an interesting character that's left open to interpretation and analysis. We aren't privy to the tragedy, but the aftereffects of it. And, almost as if to prove the point, Odasaku dies the next day. Right after Dazai says he always loses everyone, further cementing the idea that there's almost a curse surrounding him, a void of loneliness that may never be fulfilled, which is as much as Odasaku tells him when he dies.
Whatever happened in Dazai's life before fourteen was probably something horrible and tragic. Maybe he had a family. Maybe he had other good friends. Perhaps he even believed in the goodness of life and humanity. But what's really cool about the way he's written is that the exact events are not important nor necessary to understanding his character. His life is one big noodle incident, yet because of that, we're able to glean an almost deeper understanding about him, by leaving the details in the dark and exposing only the raw, humane emotions left behind. The most important part about any backstory in fiction isn't about what actually happened, it's about how does this affect the character now? What lasting impact did it leave on them, and how is it evident in the way they interact with the story in the present? This is something that Asagiri nails on the head when it comes to his backstories. And I think the lack of clear information about Dazai's backstory, yet all the information we do end up getting about him, is one of the reasons why Dazai is such an interesting and intriguing character in the series.
Thank you all for you time. You may now return to your procrastination.
#Yeah I've got tons of work to do today#so I naturally wasted time writing an analysis instead#that logic checks out#anyways#I really like Dazai#I think he's a really cool character#misunderstood as he is#we have so many light novels about him and he's still so mysterious#this was just something that occured to me reading the day I picked up dazai#bungou stray dogs#bungo stray dogs#bsd#bsd dazai#bsd analysis#bsd dazai analysis#the day I picked up dazai#dark era dazai#dark era bsd

I love LOVE the idea of Duke being the one to notice
And yeah I feel like it makes sense that feeling of "i just saw a horrible flash of information but I'm probably missing something that will make it make sense", and Duke isn't shy about mentioning Jason's past trauma but when he asks about that one strangely Jason just locks down and it's impossible to get a straight answer out of him. Duke has a very very bad feeling about it and goes to Cass, Cass asks Jason and he skirts around the answer but she can read in his body language all his shame and yes, yes batman killed him, but Jason won't elaborate. And I can see Cass desperately looking for an answer that will change her evaluation of the situation because she can't believe it but she has no other choice, she and Duke are in this situation where they don't have the luxury of not seeing what they see. And I can see Duke being on a bit of all the ends of the spectrum like "I like Jason he shouldn't have to feel unsafe/Batman is very insistent on his rule of no killing he definitely shouldn't kill/ you shouldn't kill your children wth is up with that" so it would be a kinda spread horror amongst the different axes of that spiderweb diagram, like not the reality shattering thing it is for Cass on one axis but more of a general "all of this is so wrong" way. And of course, Duke and Cass friendship ftw.
As for Roy, I'm gonna be honest, I'm a big Jayroy fan who really hates Lobdell. So I would be very down for an alternative to RHATO where Jason and Roy grow and become close during the evil horrible team-up of doom. So Roy could be a great candidate for "you shouldn't kill your children wth is up with that" esp if (idk how we can tweak the timeline because timelines are hard) this happens before he manages to get Lian back. This is a man who would give everything for one more minute with his little girl and, stumbling upon the investigation, he finds out Batman might have gotten that incredible blessing and wasted it?!!! This Roy barely even remembers Jason but by god this investigation better end up with a good explanation because there's no way he's letting a man who did that lead the JL (and he also has many concerns regarding Dick.)
As for the final member, the one who is used to fathers hurting their children, who doesn't bat an eye at killing, but who really won't let someone killing Jason slide, and who would be really fun to see interact with Cass again, I suggest Rose Wilson.
Which would lead us to the ultimate fucked up mission team where nobody wants to find the answer but they need an impossible answer that would make everything alright, and nobody is listening to the one person who knows for sure how doomed the mission is. And eventually the characters truth comes out and everyone is miserable.
Also with a sentiment of hey maybe it happened but it wasn't Bruce and Jason didn't notice, latching onto that: "please please please be a shapeshifter" - "it's not a shapeshifter" - "wdym it's not, it has to be a shapeshifter"
And I love, i a tragic way, that Jason isn't the main character. This is a Cass story. And because he is a side character in someone else's story, his agency is ignored, he has no choice, the truth will come out whether he wants it to or not because what is his shame in the name of ideals of heroism and truth and justice, everything he attempts to stop it is doomed. In a way he really is the antagonist of the story, the villain stopping the heroes from attaining their goals and it's doomed because the heroes always win.
And Jay is like "you don't understand, I gave him an impossible choice, I made him do it he didn't do it on purpose he didn't have a choice" (easier if it's his fault, if he was in control, if Bruce didn't choose) and on the next panel you see an image of little Cass with the pigtails and blood-soaked hands and she's not even looking at Jason she's telling the little girl "no, there was a choice, and he (you) chose wrong." A very bitter form of self-hatred and desperation where like she truly believed she could be more than the murderer she became and now she doesn't believe in the man who believes in her.
(idk how to include her relationship with Barbara in this, probably something positive, a bittersweet ending.)
If Bruce killed Jason at the ending of UtH, as it is implied, and if Jason knows that he died, he' the one who keeps Bruce's biggest secret, the breaking of the no-kill rule.
And something something secrets make people grow closer, at the same time that an unwanted secret is also like an unwanted invasion of your space. So Jason is caught in this limbo where he's as closest as possible to Bruce for keeping that secret, but no actual closeness is actually there.

November 12 - Moving Staircase & November 16 - Hospital Wing | word count: 893 | @wolfstarmicrofic
There is something inherently wrong with the scene before him. There is no reasonable explanation for it. Which means, he is imagining all of it. Because why else, would Sirius Black—who can out-magic almost everybody at this school—be lying in the hospital wing, looking like he… like he…
This should never be something Remus has to witness. He is supposed to be the one lying broken in a bed of the hospital wing. He isn’t supposed to see one of his friends with their arms twisted at awkward angles and their faces black-and-blue. So why, is he standing over the bed, looking down at Sirius who looks as though he got into a fight with a centaur and lost?
Madam Pomfrey left almost two hours ago now, with promises Sirius would wake soon, and yet there are no signs of him so much as stirring. He is certain the crescent moons on his palms will be there permanently from how long he has been clenching his fist.
Then suddenly, Sirius’ eyes flutter open and the rest of the world falls away. Remus never found himself focused on Sirius eyes—there are so many other wonderful parts of him—but right now, he clings to them like a lifeline. They are open, and though he can see a tinge of pain the crinkles around them, they are open. Sirius is awake, and everything is going to be okay.
“Moony?” He croaks, trying to shift in bed, before wincing and giving up the effort.
“Who did this to you?” He finds himself demanding without any preamble.
“Huh?”
“Who did this to you? Who hurt you, because I’m going to make sure they get what they deserve.”
“And what is that exactly?” Sirius asks, eyes hungry, almost predatory.
“They are going to get what they gave to you. Now, who did it?”
He hates this. He hates being violent, and he hates that seeing Sirius like this brings out the violence in him. But he doesn’t try to tamp it down. Not now, not when rage is flowing through him and needs some kind of outlet. Not when Sirius has his full attention on him, and doesn’t appear to be looking away any time soon.
“Well, I fear that would be counterintuitive. Bit Romeo and Juliet, yeah?”
“I—what?” Remus asks, heart stumbling at the comparison between them and lovers.
“You want to hurt the person who did this to me, so you shove me down the stairs. Then, you would be the one to hurt me so you would have to fling yourself down the stairs.”
“Sirius, what are you going on about?”
Suddenly sheepish, Sirius ducks his head, clearly trying to hide the bright red flare along his neck and cheeks.
“Sirius…”
“Ifelldownthestairs.”
“You—”
The door to the infirmary bursts open, swinging back closed from the force with which I hits the wall. Without looking, Remus knows exactly who it is. And the guilt and dread pools even heavier in his gut. Merlin, how could he have forgotten about James and Peter? Especially James. He was being too selfish and wrapped in his own head to think about the others. How can they forgive him now? He knew about their best friend being in the hospital wing unconscious, and didn’t mention it at all? What a twisted way to lose friends than betrayal?
“What happened?” James exclaims, hitting the side of Sirius’ bed so hard it skids a bit.
His voice catches in his throat. He wants to shrink. He wants to disappear. He doesn’t deserve to be here, getting between two best friends, two soulmates. He is an intruder in this friendship, and it needs to be him who takes leave.
“Fell down the stairs” Sirius says with a smirk, the embarrassment completely gone from his face. Of course, he wouldn’t be embarrassed telling his ‘other half’ what happened. How can you be embarrassed in front of the person who would do anything for you? Remus on the other hand? Remus is the embarrassment.
He stands, managing to take a few steps before Sirius’ voice lures him back. “Moony? What are you going?”
He swallows passed the lump in his throat. “Just going to get Madam Pomfrey. She needs to do some tests now that you are awake.”
Before he can make a bigger embarrassment out of himself, he keeps walking. He walks out of the infirmary, down the corridor, down several flights of stairs. He walks away. As far away as he can get. As he is walking, he catches a glimpse of something out the corner of his eye. A notebook. It’s peeking out the corner of a hidden alcove, but Remus can spot the S.O.B on the corner.
Scooping up the book, he flips through. Inside, there are hundreds of small sketches. Views of the rolling grounds, animals, some tattoo ideas, even some random nonsense shapes. But overwhelmingly, the sketchbook is filled with… him. His far too knobby hands, his crooked nose with a deep scar, his eyes, his face buried in his sweater. And on the last page, the drawing Sirius must have been working on when he fell…
A close up of his face, each detail worked on in intense detail.
Remus drops to his knees, ignoring the harsh crack against the ground, and sobs.

Ep 34 loose thoughts
Here we go, the finale!!!
....... This drama really does not fuck around when it comes to grief. ZYC's reaction to seeing Bai Jiu absolutely gutted me (it's usually the pain of those left behind that gets me the most and boy, was ZYC's pain palpable. Like the unbearable weight crushing your chest). The way he immediately looked away first, like he just *couldn't* face this. He's faced so much already, and so, so bravely, but this, this was *too* much.
And then their song came on, he noticed the bells in Bai Jiu's hand, and I lost it. (I could literally write paragraphs about everything going on in this one scene, and I probably will, but I *really* need to calm down first.)
The whiplash I got when the scene switched to WX still being slammed against hard surfaces... this would be a good moment for ZYZ to appear!
😭 omg I can't believe her tears brought him back. I mean, I *can,* this is not the first time this drama demonstrates that brute strength is not always the answer and vulnerability and our bonds with others can overcome obstacles, it's just, I didn't quite expect it to work so well!
Ahhhh okay, it was her tears powered up by her divine power. My previous thought still stands though lol
.................
Oh no. When Fan daren looked at ZYZ and told WX that someone else will look after her now I was not only bawling but also going, *will* he though? Or will she lose ZYZ too, right after losing her dad? 😭
(The analytical part of my brain can't help but tick off the scenes from MV as they click into place... just a few left to go, and I'm really scared now)
Oh no are we having a zombie demon apocalypse now? (Oh no, don't tell me that the only way to deal with this is to use Baize token, as she just unconsciously did with her dad? So either ZYZ or ZYC have to sacrifice themselves to heal WX so she can do her thing? Is this how we're going to lose one if not both of them????)
Oh fucking hell I was right. Only WX is ready to sacrifice herself - "this is the final sacrificial spell..." Why are all of them like thisssss (don't answer that, I'm just having a lot of feelings about everyone in the squad and how they're always ready to do everything in their power, including dying, to make sure the others get to live. I can't remember being this feral about a group of characters in a *long* time.)
IS ANYONE SURPRISED THAT ZYZ WENT, ABSOLUTELY THE FUCK NOT, NOT ON *MY* WATCH??? (I hate being right.)
Omg are you really talking about the pendant, or something else, ZYZ?! Fuck me do I even continue watching at this point when I'm pretty sure I know where this is going???
Yup, I continue. See the world clearly and all that.
😭😭😭
But how is him dying to kickstart her powers gonna help with the poison though???
Aw ZYZ, that must've hurt, having to do that. (Also, if they both somehow survive, she's gonna kill him for pulling this stunt.) Oh her cries for him are killing me. And him, too. I feel like yelling some more about HMH's acting because his *face,* that self slap, the *pain* - just, perfect in every way.
And speaking of pain, there's still more. ZYC is like a perfect mirror of WX at this moment, having just lost someone so dear, and you can see how it's killing ZYZ inside that there's no time, that he needs to ask ZYC to fulfill his oath *now*...
(I do appreciate the explanation why the "wing" spell worked. The karma is indeed tangled in the most unpredictable twists.)
Like I understand what he's saying, but why the fuck do they have to pay the highest price, and repeatedly. (Oh yeah, because of one schmuck's hubris, that's why.) The Greek tragedy of it all. 😭😭😭
Looking at ZYC now, still remembering him in ep 1, oof, the difference. How he's grown and changed, while the "fate" (ugh but I hate the word and all its implications) remained the same. The way he asks, is there really no other way? 😭😭😭 I'm asking you too, drama!!! Is there really no other way???
I agree, this is fucking absurd.
Oh nooooo are we really going to get an exact repeat of Ying Long and Bingyi, including the "let me do it myself"?!
Oh. My heart pretty much stopped. ZYZ's tiniest gasp 😭😭😭
ZYC REALLY SAID, I DECIDED THAT YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE FOR ME! THIS IS MY DECISION! I AM WILLING TO BEAR THE GUILT OF KILLING MY DEAREST FRIEND FOR ALL THE LIFETIMES TO COME! YOU DON'T NEED TO BEAR IT FOR ME!!!
If this isn't the purest motherfucking love, I don't know what is. (ZYC, the man that you are. The *strength* in this guy!)
Oh for fuck's sake don't do this to me, drama! (I mean, after what they've already done there's no point hoping they won't just continue twisting the knife but my poor heart can't take much more...) She was *crawling* to get to where she saw him go, and then that moment her binds disappear and she realizes... 😭😭😭
That little stumble as she sees them, and ZYC looks up and drops his sword. Somehow the aftermath hurts even more. (Ngl I'm somewhat annoyed that - maybe to fend off censorship - we don't get to see ZYC support ZYZ for one last time, we don't get to see him even try to make a move to catch ZYZ's fall or at least ease it somehow, but only this way could WX get him in her lap so I guess, fair. Also, replying to myself here, narrative explanation might as well be that ZYC is so shell-shocked from the enormity of what just happened that he's simply not able to move at all at this point. No matter how strong he is, I can't fucking even begin to imagine what might be going on through his head right now.)
Leave it to ZYZ to take care of everything while he was at it, including WX's poisoned state. He might be a vessel of malicious energy, but the amount of love in this guy is simply uncomparable...
Yes, stupid demon, you are indeed amazing 😭
He turned to look at ZYC as he started fading for good???
My throuple!!!
This... gives a whole new meaning to "crying in the rain," I swear.
😭😭😭
Sorry, I have no words.
For one of the shorter episodes in the series, it sure didn't waste even a second to absolutely crush me.
On... to the extra? Once I can breathe properly again, holy shit.

Luz’s reaction to seeing King for the first time in months with the Collector says so much about the difference between her and Belos, because sure they’re both venturing into the Demon Realm to save a brother from an otherworldly being.
But despite actual reason to believe the Collector contributed to the Titans’ genocide, despite having personally experienced the Collector rip an unwilling King from her hands. Despite having no knowledge/experience on any other beings like the Collector, despite knowing for a fact that the Collector is capable of literally controlling people, Luz doesn’t assume, nor insist, the worst when she sees King and the Collector being friends together.
She’s rational enough to recognize that King is NOT under the same spell as everyone else, esp with Terra emphasizing this with her own free will and having to be turned into a puppet in response. Like Terra, King is speaking contrary to the Collector, to the Collector’s frustrations. Luz decides to learn more about the situation rather than jump to conclusions, and even when she confirms there is an element of coercion to King and the Collector’s friendship, even when they ARE hostile, she’s still compassionate and understanding and reaches out, because Luz just wants everyone to be safe and happy.
It really goes to show Luz is looking for the truth here and is actually coming from a place of good faith, as King’s mom points out. And it makes sense that she’s open-minded because at her core, Luz is a weird kid who’s always loved and embraced things that are different, esp when she herself is. She’s someone who’s always wanted to learn just for the sake of it, to appreciate and explore new things that challenge her!
It makes me think of the original storyboards and how Luz’s reaction to Terra dressed as Eda was originally meant to be her reacting to King and the Collector being friends… But I see how the crew’s change/her final response makes more sense. The other explanations for such a reaction is either jealousy at being replaced (Luz has never been possessive about her friends and especially not lately with her attempts to push them away because they’re “better off without her”), or more likely, finding it creepy that someone’s copying her. But not only is the reaction kinda comedic and thus a better fit for a comedic reveal, but Luz is already used to this thing when she met her sister Vee; So they had had Luz focus more on the brother she worried about for months being fine.
And for Luz, her priority is King and her friends, and I find the implicit, quiet, confused question of “So… there’s nothing to worry about, things are fine?” and its underlying relief to be fitting given she’s here to confirm if her friends are safe. After beating herself up for months over the apparently-genocidal monster she unleashed on the isles, suddenly Luz realizes that what they were doing was just games (relatively speaking), and that’s something she can work with, when she worked with it for King and herself. This is in fact the solution to the Collector, showing those parallels and how to take them further with her own memories! Plus there’s this shot;
This ties back to her reaction in FtF, which better sets up Luz, at this point in her arc, having more of a curiosity than aversion towards the Collector, who IS her in a lot of ways; All of which leads to Luz being the first to vouch for the Collector in the finale. Because on King’s end, he’s admittedly had to deal with them and walk on eggshells for months, so he’s allowed to be openly frustrated and not as attentive for once. He already vouched for the Collector earlier just to have his species’ genocide rubbed in his face, but even then supports Luz. Must’ve felt nice to not have to be the one to talk down the Collector for once…

#can't stop thinking about this #i hate to say it but in general i'm leaning towards the luthor point of view here? i'm all for eyes being wide open #that said i feel neither pov is wrong #the kents have their reasons to believe the way they do and so do the luthors #it's just interesting when the differences between the families are brought into the spotlight #i feel that's when the show was at its strongest #it lost a lot when it became all about love triangles instead of this (via @raelis1)
100% agree and also this is why I claim 'eyes open' by taylor swift as a lex song:
#smallville#lex luthor#clark kent#sv meta#the fact that the luthors live in 'a cruel world where everybody stands and keeps score' is literally why lionel tells lex to open his eyes#'you'll never get anywhere with your eyes closed'#now lionel's perspective is mostly about wanting to gain power in their corporate dog-eat-dog world#but for lex keeping his eyes open is actually a necessity for his survival#because despite the luthors' wealth lex's life is actually incredibly unsafe#around every corner there's someone just waiting to betray and kill him—including his own fucking father#('everybody's waiting for you to break down / everybody's watching to see the fallout')#so he can't just 'accept miracles' the way the kents do#the way the kents HAD TO—when a baby fell out of the sky with no explanation ever given to them and they still accepted him as theirs#unlike the kents lex can't just blindly put his faith and trust in things working out for the best—because for him they never do#('every lesson forms a new scar / they never thought you'd make it this far')#that's why he can't let the car crash go—there has to be some kind of trick to it because good things don't just *happen* to him. ever.#and until clark came along there was nobody out there protecting him ('and nobody comes to save you now') so he had to keep himself safe#speaking of clark... his abilities obviously come with their own issues but let's face it—he has godlike powers that no one else does#he can 'see anything' effortlessly#something that lex will never be able to do no matter how hard he tries ('two steps ahead and staying on guard')#this is why it's necessary for clark to 'learn to close his eyes'—he doesn't want to be a god. he wants to be human and normal#so closing his eyes is his way of leveling the playing field so he can stay humble and grounded and feel like he belongs on earth#in conclusion: lex and clark keeping their eyes open and closed respectively are necessary adaptations#which have allowed both of them to survive in their day-to-day lives thus far#but at the same time character growth would involve both of them learning to be more flexible with these coping mechanisms#lex looking over his shoulder less and accepting that some things might just be unknowable so he can keep good people (clark) in his life#and clark embracing his powers and heritage instead of wishing for normalcy so he can eventually become the superman he's meant to be#...anyway I wasn't planning to write a goddamn TED talk but thanks for coming to it I guess 😩

COBRA KAI S6 P2 SPOILERS
Gonna talk about my boys Miguel and Robby, but I kinda want to give attention to Kwon too. Kiaz fans have said pretty much everything I wanna say but Imma yap nonetheless 🗣🔥
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that in the end Miguel became such a big motivation for Robby after all the punches the tournament and his personal life were sending his way. It even echoed in his mind bro, please 😭
I feel that Miguel did feel a little entitled to becoming captain. Even after he woke up from the coma and lost all sense of what karate was for him and struggled to define what it was up till season 5, he continued to be hyped up by pretty much everyone in his life about how he was the best of the best. I don't think he didn't want Robby to be captain, but he did feel like he deserved that position until Johnny (thankfully so) reminded him of Robby's position. Miguel wanted the best for him since the very beginning, he wanted him to see him succeed and even his harsh words from before he left to LA had that kind of intention too I think.
Also him standing up for Robby multiple times and even calling out Johnny in the plane 😭🙏
Trust, now that Hawk and Eli are in good terms again, they'll switch up beds or something and Robby and Miguel will either share a room or a bed TRUST (Well if the tournament continues at all after what happened 😰)
I'll make a whole separate post about the whole ordeal with Zara and Robby because I am pissed with how they handle that shit, and I know damn well the writers will continue to handle it that way unless they give an explanation of what actually happened.
Kwon's death was... A thing. Honestly as cool and well choreographied the all-out brawl was, the writing is 😭😭 But anyways, it could be a great way to show both adults and students to question why exactly are they pushing this so far? It's really tragic, but I would have liked that they to have done more with Kwon to push that point. His obsession to win and the adults that encouraged him to get to that point were the things that ended up killing him, and it could have been so good if they had put so much more depth into how obsession can become so dangerous. Would have been cool if he had been a bit of a parallel with Miguel as his obsession with karate was part of what nearly landed him in that same position.
Okay that's it lol

"like, 8x04 ESPECIALLY seemed like such an obvious set-up for not only eddie to reach out to chris, but also for him to realize he needs to go to texas rather than letting his parents get their way." no EXACTLY. I remember watching and thinking this was gonna be the moment where he's like 'fuck this shit, I'm going to texas to get my kid, my parents be damned' and then. nothing. now obviously idk if was bc of actor availability, network interference bc of the halloween ep insert, or tim changing his mind about the story, or all three or something else. but something must've changed bc to have such an obvious and perfect setup for that, only to completely drop it is insane?????
8x04 is wild in retrospect because now that we're at the mid-season finale with absolutely nothing to show for...all that, it really looks like eddie put more effort into reuniting a family he didn't know than he is into reuniting his own. i'm sorry but this is not eddie. what happened to fighting for his family, to refusing to let his parents have their way, to promising to never leave chris again? why is eddie kinda just sitting back and letting all this happen? i can buy the explanation of him being too much in shock to do anything if the show actually portrayed it in that way. but aside from the moments here and there where the writers seem to remember that Oh, Eddie Is Missing His Kid And He Needs To Look Sad; absolutely nothing has changed in the way eddie has been doing things or living his life! i don't want to see eddie Suffer and Wallow in grief either, believe me, but that at least would be an indication that he's about to actually wake up and do something about this situation. instead, he just seems to be content to let things go on the way they are, no matter the consequences on his relationship with chris. this is not eddie. the eddie who fought back when his parents tried to take chris from him the first time—even though he doubted his abilities as a father then—and fled to an entirely different state to get out from underneath their thumb would never do this.

Hihi, can I request a Ror with Budda, Shiva, Kojiro, Poseidon, and Apollo, where the reader breaks off their relationship because their insecurity was too much. Maybe over nymphs, or saw how many women surround him or their small chest (reference, haha, get it? No? Ok :')) and no matter how much they try, the reader keeps rejecting them or runs away. TY! Keep up the great work!!!!
-He couldn’t believe it, hearing what you had just said, breaking up with him as you ran away, not willing to give him a chance to process what you had just said.
-It had been too hard for you, always seeing him surrounded by women who were all more well-endowed compared to you who were impressed with his strength, abilities, and looks. You felt so inadequate compared to them.
-You had brought this up to (Love) a few times, feeling nervous that one of these beautiful buxom ladies was going to take him away because they were so much prettier than you, but he never took your words seriously, telling you to not worry about them, and that he would never leave you.
-You left him first, your anxiety unable to take it, not wanting to face the heartbreak of him cheating and you finding out, you weren’t going to allow your heart to be broken like that! If it was going to be broken it would be broken on your own terms!
-(Love), after thinking about giving you some space for a day or two, decided against it and ran after you, wanting an explanation of why you were trying to leave him.
-Past conversations filled his mind, seeing you looking nervous, telling him how you had been feeling uncomfortable with the beautiful women he surrounded himself with, feeling like you weren’t pretty like them and that you were scared he was going to leave.
-Anger began to swell, remembering his own responses, brushing off your fear like it was no big deal- you were genuinely scared, and he treated it like it was a joke! No wonder you ran!
-You surprised him with your agility when he finally caught up to you, dodging his hands with ease, not willing to listen to him, “Come here and let’s talk Y/N!” while you dodged another swipe, “NO! Go back to your other, pretty lovers!”
-His eyelid twitched in anger, trying to grab you again, “Y/N stop being difficult!” but you tried to jump over the railing of a bridge into a shallow river when he managed to grab you by your hips, pulling you back into his chest.
-You struggled in vain, due to his strength as you tried to get free, feeling frustrated that he wasn’t letting you go, “Will you just listen to me Y/N?” you bit back with your own anger, “Oh now you want to listen to me?!” Yeah… he deserved that, knowing that you were right as he sighed softly, wrapping his arms more securely around you, hugging you close, “You’re right, and I’m sorry- I wasn’t taking you seriously about this. I’m sorry Y/N.” Hearing his apology your struggles died as tears welled in your eyes, and when he heard you sniffle, he instantly froze, realizing that you were crying as he set you down and you turned. He was upset, seeing you in such a way, you came to him with a legit fear, but he didn’t treat it like it was, he wasn’t taking you seriously. (Love) was apologetic for how he treated you, telling you how he ignored your fears, showing you that he had been listening to you, but he did nothing to help you, but now he was willing to do something because he didn’t want to lose you, begging you not to leave him. You were hesitant, which broke his heart, seeing that you were unsure if you could trust him or not about this, but when you nodded, he hugged you tightly, swearing he was going to make things right. And he did- he didn’t allow any other women who weren’t you to cuddle up to him, refusing them, showing both you and them that he was serious about being loyal to you, which made your heart heal and made you trust him again.
-Apollo, Buddha, and Poseidon
-He sank to his knees, clutching you tightly, bringing you with him as you wiggled, trying to get free, “Let me go!” He shook his head in the back of your neck, not going to, “I’m never going to let you go Y/N! I love you too much to let you leave!” you stiffened in his grasp, a soft gasp leaving you as he lifted his head, “I know I was an idiot- I ignore your concerns, laughing them off like they weren’t serious- they were serious to you, and I treated you like that. I’m sorry Y/N- but you’re the only one that I love and if it will make you happy and make you stay- I will make them all leave so you can see how serious I am! You’re beautiful Y/N- you’re the most beautiful person in Valhalla- none of them will ever be able to compare to your beauty because you have beauty on the outside and the inside!” You were silent, not answering him, worrying him until you sniffled softly which made him freeze that you were crying as he quickly released you so you could turn, seeing you in tears and he panicked, not sure what he should do until he hugged you close, squeezing you tightly, “I promise Y/N- no other woman will get close to me ever again!” you sniffled softly but nodded, wrapping your arms around his waist and he relaxed, sighing deeply in relief that you gave him another chance.
-Kojiro
-You wiggled but it was hard to get out of his four arms, “Let go! You don’t need me! You have your three pretty wives!” he glared hard, squeezing you tighter, “And I want you as my fourth you idiot!!” you froze, hearing him calling you an idiot before you heard Parvati and the others calling out your name in worry as well, as they had seen what you tried to do, trying to break up with Shiva. They all knew the anxiety you were going through, as you had confided in them when you started pulling away, telling them how you felt inferior to them, as they were all so pretty. After burying you in hugs, they told you that you belonged with them and that you were special in your own way, however unlike Shiva who just laughed it off, they took your concerns seriously, trying to help you. The three wives were quick to join the embrace, worried about you, showing concern which made Shiva pause as you shied away from them, feeling almost scared. Shiva pulled away as you were snatched into their arms and he watched them fuss over you, trying to reassure you as you were quickly in tears, apologizing to them for running off before their eyes snapped to him, making him freeze. Kali held you close to her chest as Durga and Parvati lit into Shiva, scolding him for not taking your worries seriously and because of it you almost ran off!! He knew he messed up, looking very regretful as he apologized to you, then all four of you, bowing lowly, promising to do better before he begged you not to leave, not wanting to lose you. You were hesitant, which they all saw, but you were willing to give Shiva a chance, but there was something in your gut telling you that he would be true to his word.
-Shiva
