"Keep It Cute, Keep It Quiet"

pairing: george clarkey x fem!reader
warnings: none!
summary: When George's lack of transparency about your relantionship and frustration by online rumors about him and Cinna finally pushes you over the edge, deciding you're done being his secret.
word count: 700
âË âżď¸ľâżď¸ľâżď¸ľËâ
You and George had been together for seven months.
Private, not secret. Thatâs what he always said.
He didnât want to deal with âpeople being weird,â didnât want to give the internet too much. You understood. You didnât love it, but you got it. You were patient. Supportive. Chill.
Until Inside happened.
It started with harmless clips.
Cinna joining the group. George greeting her with that goofy smile. Them vibing, bouncing off each otherâs jokes, becoming lowkey inseparable.
You didnât say anything. You knew George. You trusted him.
But then came the TikToks. The fan edits. The comment sections that became unhinged.
âtheyâd be so cute together đâ âgeorge & cinna have serious main character energy nglâ âhe never looks at anyone like that iâm sorry đđâ âthey BETTER be together off camâ
You told yourself it didnât mean anything. They were just shippers. Parasocials. But it kept getting worse.
Because even after the show, George and Cinna started streaming together. Frequently.
Usually with the groupâJason, Millie, and the other contestants. But sometimes? Just them two.
Youâd pop into the stream chat, lurking silently, watching them mess around in different games. Sheâd say something flirtyâprobably as a jokeâand George would laugh.
Too loud. Too fond.
âgeorge and cinna streaming alone again??? they are not hiding it anymore omfgâ âif they start matching profile pics iâm throwing myself into the seaâ
You asked him about it once.
He just blinked at you. âWhat, me and Cinna? Babe⌠sheâs just a mate. You know that.â
And yeah, you did. But that didnât stop it from stinging every time she popped up on your FYP. Every time you saw a new fancam titled âcinna making george blush for 2 minutes straightâ.
And the whole time⌠You were just in the background. A ghost.
Until that night.
You were lying in bed, scrolling, and came across another viral tweet.
âiâd bet money george and cinna are a thing, theyâre too comfy around each otherâ
Something in you snapped.
You opened your camera roll. Found a photo from two nights agoâtaken after a long dinner date. Youâd been straddling George on the sofa, jacket half off one shoulder, messy hair, his hands all over your waist. You were kissing him. His jaw, slightly tilted up, eyes closed.
It was hot. Obvious. Intimate.
You hesitated. Just for a second.
Then added the caption: ânot just comfy xâ Posted it straight to your Instagram story. No tags. No explanations.
You locked your phone and tossed it aside.
It took about 45 seconds for your phone to explode.
Twitter? In shambles. TikTok? Full of scream edits and breakdown videos. Instagram? DMs blowing up. People were analyzing your bracelets, zooming in on Georgeâs hands, comparing hoodie strings to old footage.
âWHO IS SHE AND HOW DO I BECOME HER??â âCINNA STANS WE LOST đâ âshe ATE. she WON. no crumbs left.â
You didnât even hear from George until ten minutes later.
George: ??? George: babe what did you just DO George: you know everyoneâs going mad right???
You finally replied.
You: well now they know George: you mad at me? You: you think?
Typing⌠typing⌠George: i didnât mean to make you feel hidden You: you didnât mean to. but you did. George: come over. please.
You showed up at his flat an hour later.
He was waiting at the door, hoodie on, hair messy, expression wrecked.
âYou posted that âcause of Cinna?â he asked quietly.
You stared at him. âYou think I wanted to watch people ship you with someone else every day while I stayed invisible?â
He stepped closer, hands sliding around your waist.
âI shouldâve posted about you months ago.â
You didnât reply. Just stared.
Then he kissed you. Soft, slow, apologetic.
âCan I post something now?â he whispered against your lips.
You smirked. âYou better.â
An hour later, George uploaded a blurry polaroid to his grid.
You, in his lap. Laughing. Kissing his cheek. His arm curled around your waist. Caption: âsheâs not just comfy xâ
âREAL RECOGNISES REALâ âi forgive him for hiding her bc she is CLEARLY the oneâ ângl i respect the reveal game. they held onto that like champs.â âcinna shippers i am so sorry đ the girlfriend had RECEIPTSâ

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There were very few things Azzi enjoyed more than sleeping in on a Friday morning, especially when she didnât have class. No alarms. No deadlines. Just her, her pillow, and a peaceful, dreamless sleep.
That is until her door nearly exploded.
BANG BANG BANG
âAZZIIIIIIII. OPEN UP. I KNOW YOUâRE IN THERE.â
Azzi groaned, yanking her comforter over her head. âGoddamn, CarolineâŚâ
BANG BANG
âI SWEAR TO GOD IâLL PICK THE LOCK. YOU KNOW I KNOW HOWââ
Azzi flung the blanket off, shuffled out of bed with all the grace of a sleep-deprived zombie, and opened the door with a slow, dramatic pull.
Caroline stood there, too bright-eyed for someone who had clearly been awake for hours, wearing leggings, an oversized UConn hoodie, and a knowing-ass smirk. Phone in one hand. Coffee in the other.
âGood morning, my beautiful sunshine,â she sang, stepping inside without waiting for an invite.
Azzi scowled and shut the door behind her. âYouâre psychotic.â
Caroline beamed, completely unbothered. âAubrey texted me.â
Azzi froze mid-turn. ââŚAbout what?â
Caroline dropped herself onto Azziâs desk chair and spun in a half-circle. âAbout you. And Paige. And about theâwhat was it? 3 hours? Yea I think 3 hour tutoring session you had last night. And the pizza. And the Uno.â
Azzi sighed, dragging her hand down her face. âIt was not 3 hoursââ
âAzzi. It was 3 hours,â Caroline deadpanned.
Azzi flopped back onto her bed, pressing a pillow over her face. âWhy is everyone making this such a big deal?â
âBecause,â Caroline said, crossing her legs, âyou never hang out with anyone that long. You barely even tolerate me for 3 hours.â
âTrue.â
Caroline glared. âRude.â
Azzi cracked a smile under the pillow.
âSo?â Caroline said, kicking Azziâs foot. âHow was it? What happened?â
Azzi lifted the pillow just enough to breathe. âWe ate. Talked. Played Uno. Studied.â
âAnd?â
âAnd⌠thatâs it,â Azzi shrugged.
Caroline gave her a look. âYouâre being vague on purpose.â
âIâm not.â
âYou are,â Caroline said. âBecause I know you. You never just talk to people. You donât really talk to anyone unless youâre comfortable. And youâre not exactly the âletâs play Uno and bond over pizzaâ type unless somethingâs different.â
Azzi stared at the ceiling.
Caroline smirked. âIs it still awkward?â
Azzi hesitated. âLess.â
âOh ?â Caroline leaned forward dramatically.
Azzi sat up, running a hand through her messy morning hair. âIt was awkward at first, but⌠not in a bad way. I donât know. Sheâs actually different in person.â
Caroline raised her brows. âDifferent how?â
Azzi didnât answer right away. She thought back to Paige last night, curled up with her hood down and glasses on, talking about her siblings, quietly listening when Azzi talked about her family and basketball. The way sheâd smiled when Azzi joked about beating her in 1v1. The way she laughed when she lost in uno and threatened to throw the whole deck.
âSheâs just⌠more real than I thought,â Azzi said quietly.
Caroline tilted her head. âReal likeâŚ?â
Azzi rolled her eyes and got up, walking over to her dresser. âWhy are you analyzing everything I say like Iâm on a therapy couch?â
âBecause Iâm your best friend and this is so much more interesting than scrolling on insta.â
Azzi huffed a small laugh.
Caroline grinned. âSo? What do you think of her?â
Azzi glanced over her shoulder.
Carolineâs grin widened. âYou like her, donât you?â
Azzi turned back around quickly. âWeâre just getting to know each other.â
âThatâs not a no,â Caroline sang, giddy.
Azzi didnât respond. Her heart felt annoyingly warm and fluttery and she hated that Caroline could see through her like a glass door.
Caroline leaned back in the chair. âItâs just funny how every time I ask you to come to a game, youâre suddenly busy or you have âhomeworkâ or youâre too tired. But Paige asks? Boom. Youâre in.â
Azzi crossed her arms. âI was gonna say no.â
âBut you didnât.â
Azzi rolled her eyes again, cheeks faintly pink.
Caroline sipped her coffee with a smug look. âYou know, itâs kind of hilarious. Youâre usually the most unbothered person I know. But now? Look at you. Blushing and awkward.â
âIâm notââ
âYou are. Fully.â
Azzi sighed dramatically and sat down on the bed again. âWhatever.â
Caroline softened a little. âSo youâre really coming?â
Azzi nodded. âYeah. I said I would.â
Caroline smiled, this time less teasing, more genuine. âGood. Itâll mean a lot to her.â
Azzi blinked. âYou think?â
âI mean even though Aubrey and I asked her to tell you, do you really think Paige just invites anyone to her game?â Caroline said
Azzi didnât have an answer to that. Instead, she grabbed the pillow again and hugged it to her chest.
Caroline stood and headed for the door. âIâm telling Aubrey youâre officially down bad.â
Azzi groaned. âDonât you dare.â
âToo late.â
âCAROLINEââ
The door slammed shut with Carolineâs cackling echoing down the hallway.
Azzi sighed again, falling back on the bed.
â---------------------------------
The second the doors to Gampel opened and that familiar blast of cold air hit her face, Paige felt her brain officially switch to game mode.
It was 2 pm. 3 hours to tip.
She walked in with Caroline and Aubrey, all of them still in sweats and slides, bags slung over their shoulders. They didnât say much, didnât need to. The place just had a vibe on game days. Everything buzzed.
The second they pushed open the locker room door, the noise hit.
Ice and KK were playing some weird game of reflex catch with a rolled-up pair of socks. Sarah had both legs up on the wall doing stretches while scrolling on her phone like she wasnât upside down. The others are doing their stretches.
Caroline took one look and muttered, âCircus.â
âNo place like home,â Aubrey said, grinning as she kicked her slides off.
âYo, Jana,â Paige called, already unzipping her bag.
Jana looked up. âYou ready?â
âYep.â
Jana grabbed her comb and stood behind her, already parting Paigeâs hair.
Paige sat still, phone in her lap, as Janaâs hands moved. She always liked getting this part out of the way early. Hair done. Locked in. No distractions.
Ayanna walked past and clapped Paige on the shoulder. âYou better show out tonight. Genoâs already in his pacing era.â
âHeâs pacing at 2?â Caroline said.
âFull-on hallway laps,â Ayanna replied. âHe yelled at Ice for chewing too loud.â
KK snorted from across the room. âIt was one cheeto bro.â
âYall are cursed,â Jana muttered, finishing the last braid and tying it off. âOkay. Youâre good.â
âBless you,â Paige said, standing and stretching her neck. âIâm gonna go sort out that ticket thing real quick.â
Caroline raised an eyebrow. âFor Azzi?â
Paige froze mid-step. ââŚyeah.â
Aubrey immediately perked up. âWeâre coming.â
âNo youâre not.â
âYes we are,â Caroline said, already pulling her sweatshirt back on. âWe wanna witness.â
Paige groaned. âItâs literally just a ticket.â
âYouâre personally escorting her to the bench,â Aubrey said dramatically.
âIâm making sure she doesnât get stuck in the student line.â
âMhm,â Caroline said. âSo romantic.â
âCanât believe weâre third-wheeling to the box office,â Aubrey muttered as they walked out.
âYâall need help,â Paige said, but she didnât stop them from coming.
They crossed the main hallway and turned into the little hallway where the ticket box was set up for player comps. It was quiet, just one event staff guy at the desk.
He looked up and smiled. âHey, Paige.â
âHey,â she said, stepping up. âI just wanted to make sure a name got added. Azzi Fudd.â
He scrolled through his list. âYep. Sheâs on here. One comp ticket. You want her behind the bench?â
âYes, please.â
âShe need a pass for tunnel entry?â
âYea.â
âGot it. Iâll leave it at security.â
âThanks,â Paige said.
Behind her, Caroline stage-whispered, âWow. Behind the bench and a tunnel pass.â
âSheâs so special,â Aubrey whispered back.
âOk, shut up,â Paige muttered, cheeks warm.
As they walked back toward the locker room, Paige pulled her phone out and typed fast.
Paige: ur all setâcome thru the player entrance & tell them ur name. theyll give u a pass n walk u down. u will be behind the bench
The reply came quick.
Azzi: ok cool ! thanks i cant wait âşď¸
Paige stared at her screen for a second too long, smiling like an idiot.
âDid she text back?â Caroline asked, peeking.
âMind your business.â
âShe did,â Aubrey said. âLook at her face.â
âSheâs blushing.â
âIâm not.â
âAzziâs got you in a chokehold,â Aubrey said, grinning.
âShe does notâ
âShe does,â Caroline said. âAnd honestly, itâs kinda adorable.â
Paige shook her head and pushed open the locker room door again.
âYâall are worse than Geno.â
âGeno doesnât call you out when you get all heart-eyes,â Aubrey said. âWe do. Youâre welcome.â
âI hate both of you,â Paige said, dropping back onto the bench.
She didnât. Not even a little.
â---------------------------------
Azzi backed away from the mirror and stepped into her baggy jeans, loose and frayed a little at the knees, then slipped on her fresh white AF1s. Classic. Reliable. A little creased but still got the job done. She looked down, gave her outfit a quick once-over in the full-length mirror on her door. Oversized hoodie, chill jeans, clean kicks. Comfortable but not sloppy. Casual but⌠ok, maybe a little cute.
But whatever. It wasnât for anyone. She was just going to a game. A basketball game. Just to watch. Thatâs it⌠Well, maybe there is a reason.
She grabbed her small crossbody bag, double-checked that her student ID and phone were in there, then slipped in her lip balm and airpods for good measure..
A small little jittery feeling crawled under her ribs as she walked out the door.
â---------------------------------
The closer she got to Gampel, the louder everything becameâstudents yelling across the sidewalk, music from somebodyâs speaker, the steady hum of gameday energy. It was barely 4, and the lines outside the arena were already long, stretching past the fencing with people buzzing about seats and rankings and starting lineups. She could see the security checkpoint from the road. The air was cool but not cold, and people were already filing in through the main entrances.
Azzi bypassed the crowd, headed toward the smaller side doorâthe one Paige told her to go to.
She had to show her ID twice, and the security guard looked skeptical until she said her name.
âOh,â the woman said, flipping through a clipboard. âFudd, right? Got you here. Youâre with player comps. Youâre good.â
She handed Azzi a pass on a lanyard and pointed toward the tunnel.
âJust walk straight down. Someone will meet you at the end to bring you to your seat in the section behind the bench.â
âThanks,â Azzi said, slipping the lanyard over her hoodie.
She followed the path inside, the noise of the crowd behind the walls growing louder with every step. She passed volunteers setting up last-minute signage and workers wheeling coolers and towels toward the team hall. Everything looked busy. Real. Like a behind-the-scenes of a movie, except everyone had a job and no one was pretending.
As she reached the mouth of the tunnel, she slowed down.
The court was right there. Empty for nowâno players, no layup lines, just a few staff in polos walking around, checking things off clipboards. The arena lights were already blazing, bleachers half-filled and still moving. Students were trickling in. Families and season ticket holders were already chatting and pointing. One little kid in a No. 5 jersey ran past, trailed by a tired-looking dad with a soft drink in each hand.
Azzi stood off to the side, unsure if she should keep walking or wait. A staff member spotted her and walked over.
âYou Azzi?â
âYeah.â
âRight this way. Youâll be just behind the bench. Youâre early, but thatâs good. It gets crazy in here fast.â
Azzi followed, heart thumping way harder than she expected. It wasnât nerves, she wasnât nervous. Not really. Just⌠out of place.
The staff guy pointed her to a seat directly behind the team bench.
Azzi sat slowly, eyes scanning the whole space. Gampel looked different from down here. Bigger. Brighter. Louder, even though it wasnât full yet. She rested her hands in her lap, curling her fingers around the fabric of her hoodie sleeves, and tried not to smile too much.
Behind the bench. Just like Paige said.
She let her eyes wander the court again, then up toward the tunnel on the far side.
Still no players out.
But soon.
â---------------------------------
5 minutes later, the lights dimmed just slightly and the music shifted to something deeper, bass-heavy. The student section roared.
South Carolina jogged out first, shoes squeaking loud as they fanned out into layup lines. The cheers were mixedâloud, but not for them. More like respectful hype. Some boos too, mostly from the students already fired up.
Azzi leaned back in her seat, watching. They looked sharp, no doubt. Big. Fast. Focused.
And then exactly five minutes after the place exploded.
Cue the hype music. Cue the lights shifting again. Cue the announcerâs voice booming over the speakers.
âHERE COME YOUR UCONN HUSKIESSSSS!â
The tunnel across the court erupted, and the team ran out in a waveâPaige leading the team, followed by Ice, KK, Caroline, Aubrey, and the rest. The noise was unreal. Azzi flinched at how loud it was down here.
She stood halfway, not sure if she was supposed to. Paige hadnât even looked her way yetânone of them had. They were all in that pregame zone, clapping, calling plays, running straight into warm-up drills. It made her grin. They moved like they belonged. Like they owned the place.
A few minutes passed then Caroline glanced over mid-drill and did a double take. Her whole face lit up.
She jogged over first, grinning and breathless. âOk, youâre officially the most committed tutor Iâve ever seen.â
Azzi laughed. âGotta keep my clients in check.â
Aubrey appeared a second later, pulling up beside her with a grin. âYou look good! Not, likeâyou look goodâlike you look good here. This is so cool.â
Azzi raised an eyebrow. âUh huh. You almost stuck that landing.â
âShut up,â Aubrey said, bumping her shoulder. âSheâs coming. Brace yourself.â
Azzi didnât have to ask who.
Paige had peeled off from the group, jogging over with a slight smirk, ball tucked under her arm
âHey,â she said, voice a little breathy from drills.
âHey,â Azzi said back, smiling.
They hesitated for half a second then Paige leaned in, and Azzi hugged her. It was quick but warm, familiar. Paige held on a beat longer than necessary.
Behind them, Caroline immediately made a sound like a dying seagull. âAwwwwwwwwwâ
âTragic,â Aubrey added. âSheâs down bad.â
âI am not,â Paige said, pulling back but very much still standing way too close.
KK appeared like sheâd been summoned by the drama, spinning a ball on one finger. âOoooo we really doing hugs now? Thatâs cute.â
Ice showed up behind her, sipping from a Gatorade like it was tea. âWhatâs next? Matching jewellery?â
Paige groaned and stepped away, dramatically throwing her hands up. âYâall need to worry about your own business.â
âWe are, thatâs why weâre invested,â Ice said.
Azzi laughed.
âOkay, okay,â Caroline said, backing up. âWeâll leave you alone now. Just donât make out in front of the children.â
KK saluted Azzi as they trotted back toward drills. âGood luck, scholar. Youâre doing the Lordâs work.â
And then it was just Paige and Azzi.
Paige rubbed the back of her neck. âSorry. Theyâre⌠always like that.â
âI kinda love it,â Azzi said. âFeels like a sitcom. A slightly chaotic one.â
Paige chuckled. âYeah. Welcome to the show.â
Azzi tilted her head. âSo. You remember what I said last night?â
Paige blinked. âUh⌠which part?â
She crossed her arms, mock serious. âIf you play shit, Iâm not tutoring you anymore.â
Paige put a hand to her heart. âWow. Cold.â
âButâŚâ Azziâs eyes sparkled a little. âPut on a masterclassâŚâ
Paigeâs grin turned smug. âAnd we hang out after the game.â
âExactly.â
âDefine your version of masterclass.â
âScore a bunch. Flashy passes. Maybe make someone fall. I want drama.â
Paige nodded solemnly. âSay less.â
Azzi lifted her brows. âNo pressure or anything.â
âOh, Iâm pressure-proof,â Paige said, backing away toward the court. âJust wait.â
Azzi watched her jog back into the drill line and shook her head, still smiling.
â---------------------------------
The pregame announcements came and went in a blur of thunderous applause, blinding lights, and player-by-player videos flashing across the screens. UConnâs starting five had been calledâKaitlyn, Paige, Ashlynn, Sarah, and Janaâeach jogging out to their own roar, each moment louder than the last.
Now, the energy in Gampel had hit that strange, electric stillness that always came right before tip-off. Like a held breath.
The court was polished to a shine, the reflections of the overhead lights rippling off the hardwood in slow motion as the players took their positions. South Carolina huddled near their bench, focused and bouncing on the balls of their feet. UConn mirrored them.
Azzi sat forward in her seat, elbows on her knees, eyes locked on the court. Or more accurately⌠on Paige.
She was in her element nowâshoulders rolled back, stance low and ready, head slightly tilted like she was listening to something only she could hear. Her jersey fit perfectly. Obviously. But something about the way the lights above caught her arms, casting shadows under each line of muscle, made Azziâs thoughts derail for a second. Maybe even longer than a second.
She wasnât trying to be dramatic. Really. But the lighting in this arena? Insane. She could practically sketch out the definition in Paigeâs arms just from the way the overheads hit them. Her arms were flexed, loose but brimming with potential energy, the way athletes looked when they were seconds from exploding off the ground. Even the veins on her forearms were visible, subtle but right there, and Azzi had to drag her eyes away before her brain gave up entirely.
Unfortunately, she didnât drag them fast enough.
Caroline, perched at the end of the bench just a few feet away, half-turned and caught the look on Azziâs face.
âOh my God,â she said under her breath but not quietly enough.
Aubrey leaned over behind her. âWhat?â she whispered back, eyes scanning and then landing right on Azziâs very, very red face.
âOh my GOD,â Aubrey repeated, laughing this time.
Azziâs head snapped around, lips already parting in protest. âDonât.â
âNo, no, itâs cute,â Caroline whispered, clearly not about to stop. âThat was a full-on thirst face. Like, textbook.â
âI was notââ Azziâs voice squeaked, which didnât help her case.
âShe was admiring the⌠âlightingââ Aubrey said, using air quotes and everything.
âItâs excellent lighting,â Azzi muttered, tugging her hoodie sleeves over her hands like they might hide her mortification.
âItâs ok,â Caroline said, barely holding in a grin. âI stare at her arms in practice all the time. Itâs healthy. Builds character.â
âYea sameâ Aubrey added.
Azzi buried her face in her sleeve.
âGod, yall are terrible,â came in Ice, from two seats down, who mustâve caught enough of the exchange to weigh in. âLet her blush in peace.â
âSheâs got front-row view of the gun show, what do you expect?â KK added from beside her, sipping from her Gatorade again.
Azzi didnât answer. She couldnât. She was too busy trying not to pass out from secondhand embarrassment.
And then the ref blew the whistle for tip-off.
A ripple of noise surged through the crowd, a wave of cheers rolling up from the student section like thunder. Kaitlyn stepped to center court for the jump, crouched, poised. Paige was already bouncing on the balls of her feet, smirking at her matchup like she was born for this.
Azzi peeked up through her fingers.
Paige glanced toward the bench and for a split second, their eyes met.
Azzi wasnât sure if Paige could see her blushing from there, but the little smirk that tugged at her mouth?
It said yes.
The ball was tipped, and the game began with a burst of adrenaline that pulsed through the entire arena. Jana got her fingers to it first, tapping the ball back to Paige, who immediately corralled it and pushed up the court to a roar from the crowd.
Azzi sat on the edge of her seat, practically vibrating.
From the jump, South Carolina came out locked in. Their defense was tight, switching everything, bodies quick to rotate, hands always in passing lanes. UConnâs offense opened a little jitteryâhesitations, missed timing on cuts, a rushed shot or two. And Paige⌠Paige looked like she was pressing.
Azzi noticed it instantly.
She still looked good, poised, focused, but there was something off in the rhythm of her game. A half-second delay in decisions. A loose dribble here. A contested pull-up that bricked long. Not bad, just⌠not her usual smooth.
By the third possession, Paige had missed 2 jumpers, both slightly off-balance. She passed up a look from 3, choosing instead to drive and kick to Aslynn in the corner who missed.
South Carolina was capitalising early, too. A fast break off a turnover turned into a clean and-one finish, and UConn trailed 9â3 before they could get settled.
Geno stood with arms crossed, deadpan. âLetâs settle, huh? Find a flow. Let the game come to you.â
Paige nodded, but Azzi could tellâshe was in her head.
She kept glancing toward the sideline. Not overtly. Just little looks. Between free throws. After a whistle. That barely-there flick of her eyes toward the bench and just past it.
Toward Azzi.
Azzi flushed every time it happened, like sheâd been caught eavesdropping on a secret.
Caroline, now seated two down from Coach, leaned back during a break in play and whispered to Aubrey, âSheâs tight. You see that?â
âYeah,â Aubrey said. âSheâll settle. Sheâs just trying to act normal with her here.â She tilted her chin toward Azzi without looking.
Azzi caught it. She pretended not to.
Midway through the first quarter, UConn had made some changes. Still, the Huskies couldnât get their rhythm right. The passes were clean, the movement was there, but it didnât click yet.
By the end of the first quarter, the score was 16â12, South Carolina up. Paige had just 2 points on 1 of 5 shooting.
Second quarter, it started to shift.
Not all at once but in moments.Â
Paige called a high screen and crossed over into a hesitation step-back, nailing a mid-range jumper over the outstretched arms of the defender. She didnât celebrate but she looked straight to the side of the court again.
Right at Azzi.
Azzi raised her brows. Smiled. Gave her a small nod.
Paige cracked the tiniest smirk before turning and jogging back on defense.
It built from there.
A backdoor cut caught South Carolina off guard, and Paige hit Kaitlyn on a dime with a no-look bounce pass for an easy two. The crowd roared.
On the next possession, Paige pushed in transition, split two defenders with a lightning-quick change of pace, absorbed contact, and threw up a scoop off the glassâ
Whistle. Bucket.
âAND FUCKEN ONE!â
The scream cut through the arena like a blade. Paige banged her fist into her chest once, fire in her eyes. The student section lost it.
Azzi blinked, caught between shock andâyep. That was hot.
Caroline turned halfway around, caught the expression again, and just snorted.
âPray for her,â she murmured to Aubrey. âSheâs a goner.â
UConn closed the quarter strong. Ashlynn hit a corner three off a skip pass. Paige pulled off a slick behind the back dribble that had her defender stumbling. The bench exploded. Even Coach Geno surprisingly cracked a small smile as the lead trimmed to two before the half.
Halftime score: 34â32, South Carolina still ahead.
But momentum? Shifting.
The third quarter opened like a different game.
Paige didnât hesitate now.
She wasnât thinking anymore, just hooping.
She blew past her defender early in the quarter with a hard right drive, finishing with a reverse that spun off the glass and went in perfectly. The next trip down, she sized up a slower defender in isolation and drilled a stepback 3 with a hand in her face. Bang.
The crowd went absolutely wild.
Paige smirked, holding up 3 fingers as she backpedaled.
Azzi jumped to her feet without even realizing it.
By now, the bench was up on every play. Morgan and Aubrey waving towels, Caroline yelling, KK throwing up 3 fingers after every 3 point shot Paige hit.
Which kept coming.
A fast break? Paige picked the pocket clean, weaved through 2 defenders, euro-stepped around a third, and finished with finesse.
Then, late in the quarter, a hesi-crossover-spin move that left her defender frozen. Paige went up strong through contact, landed awkwardly but the shot dropped.
Whistle.
She didnât say a wordâjust smirked, rolling her shoulder forward in a slow, deliberate flex. Then she pounded her chest twice, her eyes saying everything her mouth didnât.
Azzi just about melted into her chair.
Caroline didnât even try to be subtle. She turned full-body and said, âBe honest. Youâre making out with her later, right?â
Azzi covered her face. âCaroline!â
âJust checking.â
Paige ended the third with 24 points and counting.
4th quarter?
A clinic.
She was everywhere. Her footwork was surgical, her vision insane. She skipped a pass through 3 defenders for a layup, then came down and hit a transition 3 in rhythm off a kick-out from Sarah. The team was cooking.
Geno didnât sub her once. He didnât need to.
Final minute, Paige hit a deep 3 from the top of the key to seal it.
32 points.
Gampel was shaking.
The buzzer sounded, and the final score lit up: UConn 74, South Carolina 65.
Paige stood near mid court, hands on her hips, chest heaving, the crowd roaring around her. Her teammates mobbed herâchest bumps, shoulder slaps, screams.
But once the initial chaos died down, she pulled away gently. Walked toward the sideline.
Toward Azzi.
She looked nervous now, like the adrenaline had dropped just enough to let the rest of her rush in. Her hair was damp, sweat still clinging to her neck, but she had that grin. That stupid, crooked, overly confident one that almost hid how unsure she really was.
She stopped in front of Azzi, still catching her breath.
âSoâŚâ she said, voice light but a little unsure. âAbout that hangout. Or⌠what do you think?â
Azzi smiled, heart thudding in her chest. âI think you earned it.â
Paigeâs grin went bright.
Before she could say anything else, Caroline popped up between them like sheâd been waiting. âOkay lovers,â she gestured toward Aubrey and Ice, who were now approaching too, âweâre all hitting Tedâs after. So she,â she pointed to Azzi, âis walking with us to the locker room, and you,â she turned to Paige, âare gonna meet us outside.â
âWait, me?â Azzi blinked.
âYeah, weâre just grabbing our stuff. Be quick,â Aubrey added. âYou can wait by the tunnel. VIP access.â
Azzi hesitated, then nodded. âOk, yea. Cool.â
âCool,â Paige said, clearly trying not to look too pleased. âSee you soon.â
Caroline pulled Azzi along with them toward the tunnel, throwing a wink back at Paige as they walked.
Paige stood there, wiping her wrist across her forehead, still riding the high of the game, the crowd, the win.
But her eyes?
They were only on Azzi.
â---------------------------------
The locker room buzzed with chatter and laughter as the team's victory sunk in. The players were all talking, half-showered, still catching their breath from the frenetic pace of the game. Paige, however, was in her own little world, the high of the game still pulsing through her veins. Her teammates had already started to scatter, some heading straight for their things, others lingering in the hallway.
She quickly finished wiping down with a towel, the heat from the shower clinging to her skin, but her mind was elsewhere on Azzi. The idea of spending time with her after the game had her stomach doing backflips. She couldnât explain why she was suddenly so nervous, considering she had just put up 32 points in a game that felt like a war. It was almost funny how her brain switched gears so fastâone moment, she was locked in the zone, the next, she was just a girl hoping Azzi would say yes.
As she walked to the locker room exit, she found Caroline talking to Azzi near the tunnel, laughing and chatting. Caroline gave her a knowing look, a smirk pulling at her lips. âYou two better make it quick,â she said, as if she had orchestrated this entire thing.
âDonât worry, I got this,â Paige said, trying to sound cool, but there was no hiding the excitement under her voice.
Azzi smiled as she approached, still in her game-day hoodie, her hoodie strings pulled tight against the slight chill of the hallway. âYou did great out there,â Azzi said, her voice calm but sincere.
âThanks,â Paige said, her grin spreading. âI had a slow start, though. Just needed to get into a rhythm.â She shrugged, hands on her hips as they made their way outside the arena, the cool night air hitting them.
Azzi raised an eyebrow. âSlow start? Thatâs one way to put it. But you definitely found your groove. I was impressed.â
âHey, Iâm not perfect,â Paige said, rolling her eyes. âBut you know how it is. Nerves. Playing in front of everyone with⌠you know, you in the crowd.â She didnât really know how to say it without sounding like a total mess, but Azzi just nodded like she understood, no big deal.
They made their way down the street, with Azzi walking just a little bit ahead of Paige. Azzi was quiet, observing the world around her with the calculated calm she always carried with her. Even now, after watching Paige play, she was still analyzing, assessing.
âSo, yeah,â Paige started, trying to fill the silence, âwhat did you think of my shooting tonight? I felt like I missed a bunch early, but I found it eventually.â
Azzi glanced over at her, her lips curling into the smallest smile. âI mean, you were taking shots from everywhere. Some of them were a little rushed early on, but you adjusted. Your footwork on that step-back three was solid. You just need to stay patient and trust the shot.â
Paige felt a little relieved, hearing Azziâs constructive take on it. She didnât want to come off like she was fishing for compliments, but it felt good to hear that the tweaks sheâd made in her head were obvious to Azzi.
âYeah, I was thinking too much,â Paige admitted, rubbing the back of her neck. âOnce I stopped caring so much about⌠I donât know. I could just play. Itâs like something clicked. Then, I couldnât miss.â
Azzi nodded. âThatâs how it goes. Sometimes youâve got to let go of all that extra stuff and just play.â
They arrived at Tedâs, the place where their team frequently hung out after big games, and Paige immediately ordered hot chips for the table. It wasnât even a questionâshe just knew Azzi liked them. She didnât need to ask. They slid into the booth, a comfortable space, away from the chaos of their teammates who were already deep into drinks and dancing.
Azzi slipped her hoodie off, revealing the black cropped tank beneath. Her arms were toned, and the cool air inside the restaurant made her look effortlessly chic. She adjusted her seat, her gaze falling on the other girls as they shouted and laughed at the bar.
Paige grabbed a shot, but as she took it, Azzi raised a hand. âIâm not drinking,â she said lightly, and Paige immediately set it down, her expression flickering with surprise.
âAlright, no drinks for me either,â Paige said with a shrug, pushing the shot glass away. âGuess weâre just here for the chips then,â Paige added, giving her a wink.
Azzi snorted, looking over at the table as the drinks continued to flow. âYou sure about that? Because it looks like half the team is planning on taking shots âtil they pass out.â
Paige laughed, leaning back in the booth and trying to get comfortable, even as her teammates got more rowdy. âI donât need to be that wild. Maybe Iâll just have a few more chips instead.â
âRight,â Azzi said, sipping her water. âBecause chips are so much better than shots.â
The server came over, bringing the massive bowl of hot chips to their booth, and Paige eagerly grabbed a handful. They ate in quiet contentment, the conversation ebbing and flowing, sometimes about the game, sometimes about nothing at all.
The teamâs energy was infectious, but Azzi and Paige were perfectly content in their little bubble. Paigeâs arm found its way over Azziâs shoulders, a natural motion, something unspoken, as they both relaxed into the quiet moment, watching their teammates in the distance.
Azzi leaned in a little, her cheek resting against Paigeâs shoulder, the gesture so simple, but it felt like they had been doing it forever. Paigeâs heart fluttered at the gesture, but she didnât overthink it. She simply put her arm around Azzi like it was the most natural thing in the world.
â---------------------------------
As Paige and Azzi continued to settle into their little corner of the restaurant, the noise from the team started to blur into a distant hum. It felt like they were in a bubble, just the two of them, a quiet, contented space that Paige had no intention of leaving anytime soon. Paigeâs arm was still casually draped over Azziâs shoulder, and the contact felt so natural, like it had always been this way. Azzi had leaned into the touch, her head resting lightly against Paigeâs shoulder, the faintest hint of a smile on her lips.
The clinking of glasses and laughter from the rest of the team rang out across the room, but it felt like they were in a world of their own. Paigeâs heart raced a little faster every time Azzi shifted slightly closer, and she had to stop herself from overthinking it.
Just as Paige was about to say something, Carolineâs voice cut through the cozy atmosphere, full of energy and more than a little tipsy.
âHey, you 2!â Carolineâs words were a little louder than intended, and her presence swayed across the booth like a gust of wind. She was grinning, clearly enjoying the drinks sheâd had so far. She leaned in toward the 2 of them, practically collapsing onto the table with a half-laugh, half-giggle. âWhatâs going on over here, huh? You 2 lovebirds look way too cozy.â
Paige immediately felt her face heat up. She was trying so hard not to overthink it with Azzi, but now Carolineâs teasing was making it ten times worse. âWhat are you even talking about?â Paigeâs voice was a little higher than usual as she glanced at Azzi, who remained leaned against her shoulder.
âI mean, look at you two,â Caroline teased, waving a hand around dramatically, her eyes sparkling from the alcohol. âYouâre, like, totally in sync right now. This is a new level of cute. Someone get the cameras, Iâm shipping it.â
Azzi, though her face was flushed from the warmth of the moment, just rolled her eyes with a tiny smile. âYouâre drunk, Caroline.â
âAm not!â Caroline retorted immediately, before bursting into a fit of giggles. âOkay, maybe I am. But seriously, you 2? This is precious. Itâs like youâre both the same person but in different outfits, you know?â She looked between them, giving them a knowing wink.
Paige couldnât help but laugh. âYouâre insane, Caroline,â she muttered, but the smile on her face betrayed her.
Caroline leaned forward, elbows on the table, her eyes twinkling mischievously. âNo, Iâm right, Paige. I know exactly whatâs going on here. Iâve seen this movie. Youâre, like, one step away from making it official. Iâm here for it.â She raised an eyebrow, clearly proud of herself for her âwisdom.â
Azzi, still tucked into Paigeâs side, let out a soft laugh. âWell, youâre wrong, but thanks for the insight.â
Caroline tilted her head dramatically, as if considering this. âOk, ok, I get it. No labels. Yet.â She sat back, pouting slightly before giving Paige an exaggerated wink. âBut you gotta admit, itâs pretty cute.â
Before Paige could respond, Aubrey came swaggering over, clearly on a mission. She was holding a tray full of shot glasses in one hand, her other arm draped over a teammate who was stumbling behind her. âShots, anyone?!â Aubrey announced loudly, her voice booming across the table.
She slid into the booth beside Caroline, her grin mischievous. âPaige, I know you usually donât pass up a drink after a game, whatâs up with you tonight?â She eyed the untouched beer in front of Paige with a raised eyebrow. âYouâre not telling me youâve gone soft on me now, are you?â
Paigeâs lips parted, unsure how to answer, but Azziâs voice cut in before she could. âSheâs just here with me,â Azzi said with a shrug, a soft smile playing at her lips. âNo need for the shots.â
Aubrey raised an eyebrow, glancing between the 2 of them, clearly sensing something more than. âOhh, I get it now,â she said with a teasing tone, but she was far too drunk to make it anything more than a playful remark. âYou 2 are real cute. Alright, no shots for you then.â
Caroline laughed and stood up, wobbling a bit. âImma go join the others,â she said, clearly not paying attention to the fact that she was still holding onto a shot glass. She waved, drunkenly tipping over to another table. âEnjoy,â she called out, giving them both a cheesy wink before stumbling away.
Aubrey lingered for a moment longer before turning to Paige with a raised glass. âDonât forget, youâre still my partner in crime, alright?â She smiled and then wandered back into the mix of the team, disappearing into the crowd.
As soon as the noise of the bar filled the space again, Azzi finally leaned back into Paigeâs side, her cheek resting lightly on Paigeâs shoulder once more. Paige smiled down at her, her heart still racing from the attention, but also grateful for the quiet.
âSo,â Azzi said, her voice soft but clear. âWhat do you think? Ice cream?â
Paige blinked, momentarily caught off guard. âIce cream?â she asked with a smile, still processing the energy of the last few minutes.
Azzi nodded eagerly, her excitement apparent. âYeah, Iâm craving some. I donât know why, but I canât stop thinking about it.â
Paige grinned, feeling a spark of energy at the idea. âWell, if youâre craving it, Iâm definitely down.â She gave a quick look to her teammates still sitting at the tableâSarah, Allie, and Morganâwho werenât drinking and were busy having a quieter conversation. Paige stood up, grabbing Azziâs hand with a soft tug. âLetâs go tell them, make sure theyâre cool, and then we can head out.â
Azzi looked up at her, her eyes lighting up at the idea of leaving the craziness behind for a little while. âIâm so down.â
Paige waved to the table of freshmen, who were all sitting together, and walked over to them with Azzi at her side. She leaned in and whispered, âWeâre heading out for ice cream, you guys good here? Make sure everyone else is fine, alright?â She glanced back at the table full of noise and chaos.
Sarah, Allie, and Morgan looked up, nodding with understanding. âYea, we got it,â Sarah said with a grin, her eyes glancing over at the wild energy of their teammates. âGo get that ice cream, weâll make sure the rest of them donât do anything stupid.â
Paige smiled and gave a quick nod before turning to Azzi, her heart racing with excitement. âAlright, letâs go.â
Azzi gave her a smile that made everything feel even better. âLetâs get ice cream.â
The night air hit them as soon as they stepped outside, crisp and cool against their flushed cheeks. The sky was a deep navy, scattered with stars barely visible against the glow of the campus lights. Paige immediately reached for the zipper of her jacket, tugging it up just a bit, but next to her, Azzi shivered slightly.
Without a word, Azzi pulled the same hoodie sheâd worn earlier and slipped it back on. Her fingers worked quickly, tugging it over her head before she stuffed her hands into the front pocket with a little sigh. The hoodie was a bit oversized, the sleeves just brushing her knuckles, and it made her look even cozier. Paige glanced over, smiling quietly to herself.
âCold?â Paige asked, even though it was obvious.
Azzi nodded, blowing out a puff of air that hung briefly in front of them like fog. âI thought it was gonna be warmer tonight. Rookie mistake.â
âYou were inside a packed restaurant full of drunk 20-somethings,â Paige said, nudging her lightly with her elbow. âIt probably felt like summer in there.â
Azzi gave a soft laugh, bumping her back gently. âYea, well⌠my body regrets that confidence.â
They started down the path toward the main strip near campus, their steps naturally in sync without either of them trying. It was one of those peaceful silences, the kind that didnât need to be filled. Paige kept glancing sideways at Azzi every now and then, not even meaning toâjust checking in, like her brain hadnât caught up to the fact that theyâd actually left together. Just the 2 of them.
âYou ever notice how food cravings hit way harder after games? How I felt back in my basketball days.â Azzi asked suddenly, her voice casual.
Paige grinned. âLiterally every time. Iâll finish a game, chug half a Gatorade, and 10 minutes later Iâm like, âYou know what sounds good? 17 pancakes.ââ
Azzi snorted. âYou would eat 17 pancakes.â
âIf the stakes were high enough? Hell yea.â
âWhat stakes would require 17 pancakes?â
âWorld peace. Or, like⌠if someone dared me.â
Azzi laughed, the kind of laugh that crinkled her eyes and made Paigeâs chest feel a little too tight for a second.
They turned the corner toward the strip of late-night food spots, the ice cream place glowing warm and welcoming. It was mostly empty inside, just a couple people scattered in booths. Paige held the door open, letting Azzi step in first, and they both headed straight to the counter.
âIâm going mint chocolate chip,â Paige said confidently. âI need that refreshing hit. Cleans the soul.â
Azzi gave her a look. âIt tastes like toothpaste.â
âThatâs slander. Youâre just uncultured.â
Azzi raised her eyebrows. âUncultured? Iâll have you know Iâm a chocolate traditionalist.â
âBoring,â Paige muttered, grinning.
Azzi stuck out her tongue. âDelicious.â
Paige paid for both of them and got their cones and walked back out into the night. The cold air was a little sharper now, but it was quiet, peaceful. They strolled aimlessly, just enjoying the calmness.
About halfway through her cone, Paige paused. They were walking near the rec center, and just beyond the sidewalk, the outdoor court sat under the dim glow of overhead lights. It was deserted at this hour, just the faint echo of music from someoneâs speaker in the distance. And right there, abandoned like it had fallen from the sky, was a basketball.
Paigeâs eyes lit up.
âOhhhhh,â she said, already veering off the path. âLook at that. Fate.â
Azzi followed her gaze. âWhat, the ball?â
âYep.â Paige scooped it up with one hand, spinning it in her palm. âYou know what this means.â
Azzi raised an eyebrow, licking her ice cream. âThat some rec bro forgot his ball?â
Paige pointed the ball at her dramatically. âThat we have been chosen by the basketball Gods to honour this sacred space.â
Azzi gave her a look that was about 90% amusement and 10% fake disbelief. âYouâre such a dork.â
Paige smirked. âA dork who can cross you up in one try.â
Azzi took another bite of her ice cream and said with the straightest face possible, âLet me finish this chocolate masterpiece, and then you can embarrass yourself.â
Paige laughed and bumped her gently with her hip, careful not to knock her cone. âYouâre lucky Iâm letting you warm up first.â
They wandered toward the edge of the court but didnât step on it just yet, choosing instead to sit on the bench nearby and enjoy their cones. Paige took a dramatic bite of her mint chocolate chip, shivering exaggeratedly like sheâd just ascended to flavor heaven.
âTell me thatâs not the most refreshing thing ever.â
Azzi stared at her. âItâs literally minty milk.â
âItâs rejuvenating,â Paige insisted, licking the drip that slid down the side.
Azzi grinned, taking a bite of her chocolate. âYou know whatâs rejuvenating? Something that doesnât taste like mouthwash.â
âYouâre so wrong it physically hurts me.â
They both laughed, their knees lightly touching where they sat side by side. Neither moved away.
Paige leaned back slightly, balancing the basketball on her knee. âYou know, this night didnât suck.â
Azzi gave a quiet hum of agreement. âYeah. It really didnât.â
Paige looked over at her. There was a peace about her right now, something soft and grounded. Paige looked away before she could linger too long.
âYou still good for balling after this?â she asked, trying to sound casual.
Azzi licked the edge of her cone, then gave her a sideways glance. âI was born ready. I just didnât know Iâd be playing in a hoodie and jeans.â
âI mean, Iâm in Jordans and vibes. Weâll survive.â
Azzi snorted. âJordans and vibes? That should be your next Instagram caption.â
âPlease, like Iâd waste that level of genius on a random post.â
They sat in companionable silence for another minute, each of them working through the last of their cones. Paigeâs fingers were a little sticky, her mouth tingling from the cold. Azzi was licking the last bit of chocolate from the tip of her cone with a soft hum of satisfaction.
âAlright,â Paige said, standing up and tossing her napkin into a nearby trash can. She spun the ball once in her hands and looked down at Azzi, a playful glint in her eyes. âGame on?â
Azzi stood slowly, brushing the crumbs from her hands, hoodie sleeves flopping slightly over her fingers. âGame on.â
And with that, they stepped onto the court, just two silhouettes under the glow of the campus lights, still riding the warmth of laughter and sugar. The night wasnât over just yet.
The basketball echoed softly against the court as Paige bounced the ball a couple of times, her eyes narrowing playfully at Azzi. Theyâd gone from laughing and joking to this, a one-on-one game. Azzi was looking at her like she was about to put up a fight, and that⌠that was exactly what Paige needed.
âYou sure youâre ready for this?â Paige grinned, dribbling the ball between her legs, flashing a quick, confident look at Azzi. âI warned you, Iâm in elite form tonight.â
Azzi crossed her arms, leaning back against the courtâs outer boundary, watching Paige with a mix of amusement and skepticism. âElite, huh? Weâll see how âeliteâ you are when you canât keep up with me.â
âOh, itâs on,â Paige said, eyes locking onto Azziâs with playful intensity.
The first point was quick. Paige faked right, then spun left, finishing with a smooth layup. âBoom. 1-0, me.â
Azzi didnât miss a beat, bouncing the ball with a practiced hand. âYeah, youâre real smooth. Letâs see if you can keep that up.â
The game quickly turned into an all-out battle. Paige was fast and agile, but Azzi wasnât letting her off the hook. With every move, Azzi made Paige work harder. At one point, Paige tried to fake a jumper but Azzi was right in her face, her hand up, challenging her to make the shot.
âOh shit, youâre not gonna let me get anything easy, are you?â Paige grunted, trying to slip around Azziâs defense but failing as Azziâs hand swatted the ball away.
âNot a chance,â Azzi grinned, stealing the ball and dribbling it down the court with fluid ease, taking her own shot for 1-1.
They kept exchanging points like that. Paige, despite all the cocky smirks and back-and-forth banter, couldnât deny Azzi was holding her own.Â
The score was tied at 8-8, and Paige was starting to feel the burn.
âFuck,â she muttered under her breath, wiping a bead of sweat from her forehead. âIâm sore as hell. My legs are still feeling that game earlier.â
Azzi, not buying the excuse, shot her a sly look. âSore, huh? You seem fine to me.â
âIâm telling you,â Paige huffed, bending slightly at the waist. âIf Iâm not careful, Iâll pull something. Might even tear my hamstring.â
Azzi rolled her eyes. âUh huhhhh. Sure.â
âOk, look,â Paige said, stepping back to reset, âMaybe a little hamstring tear will help with your defense.â
Azzi smirked, taking a deep breath before getting back into position. âThat so? Bring it.â
It wasnât long before they were back at it, and Paige, feeling the heat of the competition, decided to pull out some tricks. On the next possession, she faked a shot and instead went for a quick spin to the right, aiming for an easy drive to the basket.
But Azzi, as usual, was right there, her hand shooting up to contest the shot. They collided, their bodies pressing together in defense, and Paige let out a surprised laugh, nearly losing her balance. âDamn, Azzi, no need to get so handsy.â
Azzi shot her a knowing grin. âWhat can I say? I play d like a pro.â
They were up to 12-12 now, and Paige was starting to feel the pressure. Azzi wasnât giving her an inch, and Paigeâs energy was starting to flag.
She came up with an ideaâtickling. As Azzi came at her with her signature defense stance, arms wide, Paige couldnât help but smirk.
As Azzi lunged to block, Paige slipped a hand under her ribs, giving a quick poke. Azzi jumped, her posture faltering for just a second, which was all Paige needed. âGotcha!â Paige yelled, driving for the basket and scoring easily. âThatâs 13-12, baby!â
Azzi shot her a playful glare, shaking her head as she bounced the ball. âYou are so lucky that was a game move.â
Paige laughed, throwing her hands up in mock victory. âIâm just that good.â
Azzi came back with a vengeance, charging at Paige like a freight train. âOh, you think youâre good?â she teased, getting in Paigeâs face, her arms up in perfect defensive form. Paige stepped back, trying to pull off another quick move, but Azzi stayed glued to her like a shadow.
Paige could feel her exhaustion creeping in, her muscles sore from the earlier game, the endless dribbling, and now the added pressure of Azziâs perfect defense. âShit,â Paige grunted, trying to push past her. âNo way. Iâm not losing this.â
Azzi grinned. âWeâll see. Itâs 16-15 now, so you better pull something out of your bag of tricks.â
Paige wiped her forehead again, eyeing the ball. She was getting cocky, maybe a little too cocky. âWatch and learn,â she muttered, then launched herself into a spin move, faking a pass to her left and then driving right.
Azzi wasnât fooled. She blocked the shot cleanly, sending the ball flying off toward the side. âNot so fast, superstar,â she taunted, scooping the ball and taking it to the hoop. She finished the layup, making it 17-15.
Paigeâs jaw dropped. âWhat the hell? That was supposed to be my shot!â
Azzi shrugged, clearly pleased with herself. âGuess youâre not as elite as you thought.â
Now Paige was scrambling. âOh, itâs on, Azzi. Iâm about to turn this around.â
But it was too late. Azzi, cool and composed, didnât let up. With every move, Paige felt herself getting slower, her excuses sounding weaker. Finally, after a contested shot, Azzi knocked it down to make the score 19-15. The game was almost over.
âYou good?â Azzi teased, eyes sparkling with playful victory. âYou sure you donât want to just give up now?â
âNo fucking way,â Paige snapped, trying to dig deep, but it was clear the fight was out of her.
Azzi crossed her arms, leaning against the hoop with a smug grin. â1 point left. You ready to admit defeat?â
Paige put her hands on her knees, out of breath and just a little defeated, but still smiling. âAlright, alright. Youâre gonna make me do the walk of shame, huh?â
Azzi raised an eyebrow. âYup. And when you do, you can call me âthe one who took you down.ââ
Paige scoffed, trying one last desperate shot, but Azzi was right there. She grabbed the ball and bounced it once before driving to the basket and finishing with a smooth layup.
The game was over.
â20-15,â Azzi said, grinning. âYou didnât even come close in the end.â
Paige sank to her knees dramatically, holding a hand to her chest like sheâd just played the game of her life. âAlright, you win. But next time? Iâm going all out. No excuses.â
Azzi laughed, offering a hand to Paige to help her up. âIâll believe it when I see it.â
Paige grinned and grabbed her hand, pulling herself up. âYouâve been warned. Iâm gonna get you back for this.â
Azzi raised her eyebrow, chuckling. âIâm looking forward to it.â
The sound of their heavy breathing slowly filled the quiet space between them as they both collapsed onto the bench, feeling the cool night air wrap around them like a soft blanket. The basketball court lay empty now, the only sound being the occasional squeak of their shoes shifting as they stretched their legs, their bodies sore from the intense game.
Paige wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, breathing in deeply, trying to catch her breath. She couldnât help but chuckle at how worked up they both had gotten. The whole game had been a battle, but somehow, the competition had felt like nothing more than a way to spend time with Azzi. They were both sweaty and exhausted, but there was something calming about the stillness now that the game was over.
Azzi, sitting beside her, leaned back, staring up at the stars. The light from the nearby lampposts bathed their surroundings in a soft, golden glow, making everything seem peaceful. Azziâs gaze drifted to the sky, her face a little more relaxed now that the adrenaline was fading.
âYou know,â Paige said, breaking the silence, âI donât think Iâve ever had a game quite like that. You actually made me work for every point.â
Azzi tilted her head slightly, a smile tugging at her lips. âI told you, you werenât gonna get anything easy tonight.â
Paige grinned, leaning back on the bench, her eyes following the stars as well. âYeah, you sure werenât kidding. Iâve got to give it to you, Azzi. Youâve got some serious game.â
Azzi shrugged, her eyes still locked on the stars. âItâs nothing, really. Just the usual. Iâve played for a long time.â She paused, and for a second, her voice softened. âBut you⌠youâve got a real competitive streak. I canât say I didnât enjoy it.â
Paigeâs heart skipped a beat at the sincerity in Azziâs voice. She wanted to say something more, to ask her what she meant, but instead, she just nodded, taking in the peacefulness of the moment. They sat in a comfortable silence for a while, just staring up at the vastness above them, listening to the occasional rustling of the trees in the distance.
A few moments passed, and Paige couldnât help but feel a pull to Azzi. She looked over at her, noticing the soft curve of her neck and the way the moonlight seemed to highlight her profile. Without really thinking, Paige shifted a little closer, her leg brushing against Azziâs, the faintest of touches.
Azzi didnât pull away. Instead, she subtly leaned into Paigeâs side, her shoulder gently bumping against hers. Paigeâs pulse quickened slightly, but she didnât move away. She wanted to stay right there, close to Azzi.
After a beat, Azzi shifted even closer, her head resting gently on Paigeâs shoulder. Paigeâs breath caught in her throat, and she could feel the warmth of Azziâs presence seeping into her. It felt natural, easy, like theyâd been sitting this way for years.
Paigeâs arm moved instinctively, draping over Azziâs shoulder. Her fingers brushed lightly against the soft fabric of Azziâs hoodie, then lightly caressed her, almost as if to reassure herself that this was real. It was a small gesture, but it felt significant, as if it were something more than just a casual touch.
Azzi let out a soft sigh, her eyes fluttering closed as she settled deeper into Paigeâs side. âIâm a little tired,â she admitted, her voice quieter than usual. âBut⌠I donât really want to leave yet. This is nice.â
Paigeâs heart fluttered, a small smile curling at the corners of her lips. She couldnât explain why, but hearing Azzi say that, in that tone of voice, made her feel⌠warm. Safe. She felt her own exhaustion creeping up on her, but she wanted to savor this moment just a little longer.
âI get it,â Paige murmured, her voice low and soft. She tilted her head slightly, resting her cheek gently on the top of Azziâs head. Her hair was soft against Paigeâs skin, and the feeling of Azzi so close made Paigeâs chest tighten in a way that was almost unexplainable.
Azzi shifted slightly, her breath even and calm, and Paigeâs heart fluttered again at the closeness between them. She couldnât remember the last time sheâd felt so⌠connected to someone like this. There was something about Azzi that made her want to protect her, to keep her close, and it wasnât just the competitive edge that had drawn her in during the game. No, this felt different. Something deeper.
The two of them just sat there in the quiet, the only sound was their breathing and the faint hum of the world around them. Paige didnât want to break the silence, not yet. It felt perfect. Just being with Azzi like this, in this moment, was all she needed.
â---------------------------------
The night had grown even quieter, the sounds of the world fading into the background as the two of them sat there, still and content. Azziâs breathing had become slower, more even, and before Paige even realized it, Azziâs head had tilted slightly, resting more comfortably against her shoulder. Paige noticed the softness of Azziâs breath against her skin, the way her body had relaxed completely, sinking into the warmth of their shared space. Azzi was falling asleep.
Paigeâs heart fluttered again, but this time, it was with an overwhelming sense of protectiveness. She watched her for a few moments, unable to tear her eyes away from the peaceful look on Azziâs face. She almost didnât want to disturb her, not when things felt this good, this right. But as time passed, Paige felt her own exhaustion creeping back in, and she knew it was time to head back to their dorms.
She carefully shifted, adjusting her arm around Azziâs shoulder, and gently nudged her. âHey⌠Azzi,â she murmured softly, a little hesitant, not wanting to disrupt the calm atmosphere theyâd settled into. âYou should get some real sleep. You canât just crash here.â
Azzi stirred, blinking sleepily. She rubbed her eyes, groaning softly as she adjusted herself, her face still nestled against Paigeâs shoulder. âMmm⌠itâs fine,â she mumbled, her voice thick with the remnants of sleep. âIâm good.â
Paige smiled softly, amused by how stubborn Azzi could be. âI know youâre good, but Iâm walking you back to your dorm,â she said, a gentle firmness in her voice. âCome on, letâs go. Itâs just a 10 minute walk.â
Azzi gave a half-hearted sigh but didnât argue. âYou really donât have toââ she started, but Paige was already standing, pulling Azzi to her feet with a gentle hand on her back.
âI know, but I want to,â Paige said, grinning. âItâs just a short walk. Plus, I get to spend a little more time with you, so Iâm good.â
Azzi chuckled softly, adjusting the sleeve of her hoodie, but let Paige guide her toward the path that led to her dorm. The walk was quiet but comfortable, the night air still warm enough for them to walk side by side without shivering. Paige kept glancing at Azzi, noticing how tired she looked but also how content. It made something inside Paige stir, something she couldnât quite place but knew she didnât want to let go of.
â---------------------------------
When they finally reached Azziâs dorm, Paige stopped at the entrance, her hand resting on the doorframe. Azzi turned to face her, eyes still a little heavy from sleep, but a soft smile tugged at her lips.
âThanks for walking me back,â Azzi said quietly, her voice low but sincere. âAnd for the game tonight. It was⌠fun. I really needed it.â
Paige smiled, her heart doing a little flip at Azziâs words. âNo problem,â she said, voice soft. âThanks for coming out, Azzi. It was⌠honestly one of the best parts of my day.â
Azzi looked at her for a moment, her gaze lingering, and then, without saying anything more, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Paige in a slow, steady hug. Paige froze for just a second, her arms instinctively going around Azziâs back. The warmth between them felt different this time. Deeper. Something unspoken passed between them, something soft and vulnerable.
Azzi held the hug a little longer than usual, her cheek resting gently against Paigeâs, and Paige couldnât help but feel a rush of emotions swirl in her chest. When they finally pulled away, Azzi gave a small, almost shy smile. âYou wanna come over tomorrow?â she asked, her voice casual, but Paige could hear the quiet invitation behind her words. âJust to hang out. Not for tutoring or anything. Iâll make you coffee, or whatever.â
Paige blinked for a moment, surprised by the offer, but the thought of spending more time with Azzi made her pulse quicken. âYeah,â she said, her voice soft but certain. âIâd like that.â
Azzi smiled again, a little more brightly this time. âCool. Iâll text you when I wake up.â
Paige felt a warmth spread through her chest, and for a brief moment, she didnât know what to say. She just stood there, looking at Azzi with a soft smile, her heart pounding in her chest.
Azzi, still blinking a little, smiled back, a quiet but genuine expression on her face. There was something in the way they stood there, something that made Paige feel like this moment was more than just a goodbye. It was the kind of silence that said everything and nothing all at once.
âWell,â Paige started, clearing her throat, âI guess Iâll see you tomorrow.â
Azzi nodded, her smile still lingering. âYea, tomorrow. Goodnight, Paige.â
âGoodnight, Azzi,â Paige replied softly, giving her one last lingering glance before Azzi walked back into her dorm.
As she made her way down the path, she could feel the warmth of their moments still radiating through her chest. It wasnât much, but it was enough. A spark of something she couldnât quite name, but one she was more than willing to explore.
And as she walked, Paige couldnât help but thinkâtomorrow was something she was already looking forward to. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

reader buying some chocolate with aphrodisiacs to use with her gf kazuha, she hide them in the refrigerator to surprise her later, little did she knew zuha found them and started to eat bc she was craving something sweet, so when she comes back home and sees a bar half eaten + hears moans and whines she rushes to the room a bit guilty for not telling her only to see her humping her pillow, while she plays with her tits and some toy with her juices beside her, god knows how many times she cum bc she canât deal with the heat so reader has to help her
cw: aphrodisiacs, nipple play, pillow riding, scissoring.

buying aphrodisiac chocolates to surprise kazuha one of these nights but she ends up ruining things because she accidentally eats the candy during a weekday afternoon where she was craving something sweet and longing for something she liked to magically appear in the fridge đ kazuha regrets having rummaged through the fridge out of laziness instead of going to the store as she had planned in the first place but she discarded the idea when she wanted to remove the doubt of whether there was something delicious in the fridge
and kazuha realizes what she ate when she was chewing the chocolate bar and felt a particular taste that made her frown when swallowing, so while she was chewing the remains of the candy in her mouth, she decided to read the chocolate packaging, and well, what a surprise she got
kazuhaâs eyes almost pop out of their sockets to be exact đ she is quick to spit out into a napkin what little was left in her mouth, which is completely absurd because she had just taken a bite of chocolate... she already knew that sooner or later, the effects would appear
and so it was! kazuha doesnât remember exactly her journey to the room, she only knows that moments after realizing she had taken a bite of an aphrodisiac sweet, she magically appeared naked in bed, riding one of the pillows while one hand pinched her nipples and the other was busy holding a wand vibrator against her clit⌠even though she is using three things at the same time to please herself, nothing seems to give effective results because she feels hotter and hotter as the minutes go by, the heat between her thighs was a total nuisance as it became hotter and wetter to the point of being unbearable
and you come to the rescue just in time! kazuha, after eating what she shouldnât have, sent you a message saying, âi think i messed up.â but being an empty and easily distorted sentence, it made you so confused and worried that you returned from work as quickly as possible; on any given day you would expect a bus to arrive at the stop half empty because work was exhausting you too much and sitting on the bus is a moment where you can take a breath and stretch your legs for a moment, but upon reading kazuhaâs message you don't give a shit about your usual routine and you took the first bus that arrived at the stop
awwww the look kazuha gives you when she sees you enter the room 𼺠eyes full of tears of pleasure and pain, her movements against the pillow seem to be more desperate and disordered the moment you cross through that door and appear before her sight
and you would have liked to help her and take your time to take care of her if it werenât for the fact that when you approached kazuha she grabbed you by the forearm and threw you onto the bed, being quick to climb on top of you and practically rip the clothes off your body
ending up grinding your pussy against kazuha's, being cornered against the mattress because she is on top of you and holding your wrists above your head, moving her hips against yours and barely giving you time to breathe because of how intense the rhythm of her thrusts was đľâđŤ kazuha blaming you for all of this, saying âthis is your fucking fault.â and pushing her pussy against yours in a way that makes the bed creak beneath both of your bodies
and not even after you cum and make a mess on the sheets does she consider stopping or at least taking a break because the effect of aphrodisiacs will take power of her body for a long time, so you have to prepare to endure her level of heat for a couple more hours đ

morning shift (derogatory)
â° caitlyn x f!reader
wc: 4.8k
notes: iâve been trying to post this for AGES, the app kept crashing and my computer wasnât turning on đđđ how have you guys been?
Getting the morning shift and having to wake up at five in the morning was far from ideal. In fact, it was the last thing you ever wanted to do. Dragging yourself out of bed, forcing yourself into the shower, and getting dressed while barely conscious was pure torture. You didnât just feel like a zombieâyou looked like one too.
But all of that became worth it the moment she walked into the coffee shop.
A goddess in tiny training shorts, a jacket so tight it perfectly accentuated her waist, and legs that seemed to go on forever. Every morning, like clockwork, sheâd rush in, order her stupid green juice and iced americano, and somehow make suffering through the early shift feel like a blessing.
You would take this shift for the rest of your life if it meant getting to see her.
And today, just like every other morning, Caitlyn Kiramman strolled in, hair slightly messy from her run, cheeks flushed from the cold. But what really sent a jolt through your sleep-deprived body was the way her lips curled into a teasing smile as she approached the counter.
âGood morning,â she said, leaning against the counter ever so slightly. âThe usual, please. And maybe⌠a smile from my favorite barista?â
You nearly choked on your own breath.
A smile? From her favorite barista?
You scrambled to plaster the biggest, most natural-looking smile on your face (which, given the ungodly hour, wasn't easy). âOf course,â you said smoothly, ignoring how your heart was now hammering in your chest. âThatâll cost you extra, though.â
Caitlyn chuckled, handing over her money, her fingers brushing against yours for a second too long to be an accident. âWorth it.â
She took a seat at her usual table, and as she walked away, you shamelessly let your eyes trail after her, taking in the way those tiny shorts hugged her ass perfectly.
âYou should just give her your number, you know?â your coworker commented, picking up a cup beside you. âShe comes in every day, flirts with you, and you just stand there grinning like an idiot. Write your number on her cup. Do something.Itâs getting a little pathetic.â
You scoffed, shaking your head as you started preparing her drink. âCaitlyn Kiramman is way out of my league. Iâm nothing but a mere mortal in her goddess realm.â
Your coworker snorted. âOkay, poet, but have you considered that maybeâjust maybeâshe likes her coffee a little more than usual because of the person making it?â
That made you pause for a split second before you shook it off. No way. There was no chance in hell that Caitlyn Kirammanâbeautiful, confident, rich Caitlyn Kirammanâwould ever look twice at you.
So, as always, you just wrote one of your cheesy pickup lines on her cup, adding a little smiley face next to it, and went on with your day like it didnât mean anything.
You went to class, dozed off between lectures, ate lunch half-aware of your surroundings, and then finally made your way home, exhausted. But even as you lay in bed, you couldnât stop yourself from replaying your morning interaction with Caitlyn. The way her fingers had brushed against yours, the way she smiled when she read your noteâwas it just your sleep-deprived brain making things up, or was there something there?
The next morning, there you were again. Five a.m., standing under the shower, letting the warm water run over you as you took the slowest shower of your life. Your mind was occupied with one thing and one thing onlyâwhat line you were going to scribble on Caitlynâs cup today. And, if you were being completely honest, a tiny part of you was also daydreaming about what outfit sheâd be wearing.
Would it be the black shorts today? Or maybe the navy blue ones that hugged her just right? Would she zip up her jacket, or would you get a glimpse of the tight sports bra underneath?
You shook your head, forcing yourself back to reality and going to work. You need help.
For some unknown reason, you felt extra antsy today. Your stomach was fluttering in a way that had nothing to do with hunger, and the anticipation was getting to you. So when the clock hit 6:45, you automatically started making Caitlynâs drinks, your hands moving on autopilot. You blended her green juice, strained it, and set up the coffee to brew, wondering if today she would actually stick to her usual order or throw you off by asking for something different.
âWhat are you doing?â your coworker asked, staring at you like you had lost your mind. The coffee shop was empty, the lights still dim, and not a single customer had walked in yet.
âMaking Caitlynâs drinksâ you replied simply.
They frowned. âUh⌠thereâs no one in line.â
âShe comes in at seven sharp every morning,â you explained casually, still focused on your task. âIt takes me 10 minutes to blend and strain her juice and for the coffee to finish brewing. That leaves me with five minutes to think of something to write and cup her drinks so theyâre still fresh.â
You said it like it was nothing. Like it was a perfectly logical, totally normal thing to be this dedicated to one customerâs order.
Your coworker just stared at you for a long moment before sighing, shaking their head. âYouâre crazy, you know that, right?â
You shrugged, pouring the freshly brewed coffee into a cup. âIf this is crazy, I donât want to be sane.â
They snorted, rolling their eyes. âAlright, Romeo, at this point, you might as well just ask her out.â
You scoffed, shaking your head. âYeah, right.â
But then, at exactly 7 a.m., there she was.
Earbuds in, navy blue jacket, black shorts, high ponytailâlooking like she had just stepped out of a magazine. She had that effortless kind of beauty, the kind that made the world slow down for a second, the kind that made you forget how exhausted you were.
You barely had time to compose yourself before she was standing in front of the register, and you forced your brain to function.
âGood morning, the usual?â you asked, maybe a little too eagerly, but could anyone blame you?
Caitlyn pulled out her earbuds, flashing you that smile that had you questioning every life decision you had ever made. âCertainly a good morning now that I saw you.â
Your brain short-circuited.
Did sheâdid she just sayâ?
âAnd yes, please, the usual,â she added casually, as if she hadnât just dropped that line like it was nothing.
You scrambled to punch in her order, hoping she didnât notice the heat creeping up your neck. âRightâyeah, coming right up.â
As you handed her the cups, her fingers brushed against yours again, and this time, you swore she did it on purpose. She glanced at the side of the cup, reading the little note you had scribbled there:
Are you French? Because Eiffel for you.
A soft chuckle left her lips, and she shook her head, amused. âThis one was bad.â
You grinned. âBut did it work?â
She looked up at you, something playful in her gaze. âMaybe.â
And with that, she took her drinks and walked to her usual table, leaving you standing there, gripping the register like it was the only thing keeping you upright.
Your coworker, who had been watching the entire interaction with barely concealed amusement, leaned in. âSo, uh⌠still think sheâs out of your league?â
You swallowed hard, eyes still on Caitlyn as she sipped her coffee, her lips curled into a smirk.
Yeah. You were so screwed.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
On a random Thursday night, just as you were winding down and nearly ready for bed, your phone pinged with a notification.
@CKiramman followed you.
You stared at your screen like it had just grown a second head.
For a moment, you thought you were seeing things. Maybe your sleep-deprived brain was playing tricks on you. But noâthe notification was real. You picked up your phone, unlocked it, and there it was. Caitlyn Kiramman had actually followed you on Instagram.
Your heart was hammering in your chest as you clicked on her profile. Her account wasnât private, which meant you could see everythingâpictures from her morning runs, candid shots of her with friends, a few elegant photos from what looked like fancy Galas (because, of course, she was that kind of rich), and even a couple of casual selfies. You scrolled down absently, then snapped yourself out of it.
Focus.
Had she searched for you? Did she somehow already know your name? Orâyour stomach flippedâhad she actually been interested enough to ask someone?
Before you could spiral too much, another notification popped up.
@CKiramman liked your photo.
And not just any photo.
One from three months ago.
Your eyes widened. Oh, she scrolled.
Your mind raced. Should you message her? Follow her back? Ignore it and pretend you werenât currently gripping your phone like your life depended on it?
Before you could decide, another message appeared.
Caitlyn Kiramman: So, are you ever going to give me your number, or do I have to keep deciphering bad pickup lines on my coffee cups?
Your mouth fell open.
Holy. Shit.
You stared at the message, your brain short-circuiting.
Caitlyn Kiramman had followed you, stalked your profile, liked an old photo, and now she was flirting with you in your messages.
What alternate universe had you fallen into?
Your fingers hovered over the keyboard, but every possible response sounded either too eager or too indifferent. You needed something cool, something casualâsomething that didnât scream Iâve been lowkey in love with you since the first time you walked into my coffee shop in tiny shorts.
After what felt like an eternity (but was actually 37 seconds, not that you were counting), you finally typed back:
You: You decipher them? I thought you just rolled your eyes and ignored my genius.
The little âtypingâ bubble appeared almost instantly.
Caitlyn Kiramman: Oh, donât get me wrong. Some of them are truly awful. But theyâre entertaining.
You grinned.
You: That bad, huh? Should I start charging extra for the comedy?
Caitlyn Kiramman: I think youâve already overcharged me. Every morning I walk in expecting just coffee, and instead, I leave with a new terrible joke and a distraction for the rest of the day.
Your heart did an actual flip.
You stared at her message, rereading it at least five times before you processed what she was saying. A distraction for the rest of the day? Was she serious? Was she just teasing? Was Caitlyn Kiramman really implying that she thought about youafter she left?
Before you could think too hard about it, another message popped up.
Caitlyn Kiramman: So? Are you going to give me your number, or do I have to find another way to keep myself entertained?
You exhaled sharply, fingers shaking slightly as you typed back:
You: Wouldnât want you to suffer without my daily wisdom. (xxx-xxx-xxxx) Use it wisely.
Within seconds, another notification popped up.
Unknown Number: Now I can finally place my coffee orders in advance.
Unknown Number: Also, I might use it for other things.
You swallowed hard, rereading her message.
Other things.
Yeah. You were so screwed. And maybe just a little bit in love.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
To say you spent the whole night texting Caitlyn would be an understatement. The conversation flowed effortlessly, jumping from topic to topic until you realized it was waaaay past your bed time. She told you about her upcoming track competition, and somewhere in the middle of it, she casually invited you to come cheer her on. (Which, obviously, you accepted before she even finished asking.)
By the time morning rolled around, you were running on fumesâmore tired than usual, but weirdly, it didnât matter. Because today, you werenât just going to see Caitlyn from behind the coffee counter. You were actually going to talk to her and that alone had your energy levels shooting up to a hundred.
So, naturally, you got extra ready.
You actually took your time in the mirror, making sure you looked good. Not that Caitlyn had ever seen you at your best before (you were always half-dead on your morning shifts), but today was different. Today, you wanted to impress her.
And apparently, it showed.
âOkay, whereâs the event?â your coworker asked the second you clocked in, giving you a once-over. âAnd why do you look nice today?â
âOh, nothingâŚâ you said, trying to sound casual as you adjusted your apron. âJust, you know⌠Caitlyn Kiramman not only followed me, stalked my profile, liked a picture from three months ago, but also slid into my DMs⌠and I gave her my number.â
Your coworker froze.
Then, in the most dramatic way possible, they grabbed your shoulders and shook you. âWHAT?â
You laughed, swatting them away. âIâm serious.â
They gawked at you. âYou mean Caitlyn Kirammanâthe woman youâve been hopelessly crushing on for monthsâthe actual goddess who walks in here every morningâis now texting you?â
âYep.â
âAnd flirting with you?â
âSeems like it.â
They stared at you for another second before groaning. âOh my God. I take back everything I said. Youâre not pathetic. Youâre a legend.â
You smirked, grabbing a cup as you started prepping Caitlynâs usual drinks. âGlad you finally see it.â
Your coworker sighed dramatically. âYou better not mess this up.â
âI have no plans to, thank you very much.â
But then⌠7 a.m. hit. And Caitlyn didnât show up.
7:10. Nothing.
7:30. Still nothing.
Your excitement started to deflate just a little. You glanced at the door between customers, waiting for that familiar navy blue high ponytail to appear, but the minutes kept ticking by, and your carefully prepared drinks were sitting there untouched.
By 7:40, the juice had turned an unsettling shade of green, and the ice in the Americano had completely melted. With a sigh, you had no choice but to dump them out.
Just as you were starting to wonder if maybe last night had been some weird dream, at exactly 7:46, she rushed in.
Cheeks flushed, hair slightly messy, breathing a little heavierâCaitlyn Kiramman looked⌠flustered.
And God, if that wasnât the cutest thing youâd ever seen.
The line was longâthe morning rush just startingâso she had to wait her turn, and when she finally reached the front, she immediately leaned in, looking at you with something close to guilt.
âIâm so sorry,â she blurted out, shaking her head at herself. âI overslept for the first time in my life. Which, by the way, is very unusual for me.â
You raised an eyebrow, suppressing a grin. âYou? Oversleeping? That is unusual.â
She groaned, covering her face for a second before peeking at you through her fingers. âI know. And I feel terrible. 7 a.m. is our unofficial meeting time, and Iââ She stopped mid-sentence, realizing what she just said. Her eyes widened slightly, and she bit her lip.
Your smirk grew. âOh? Our unofficial meeting time?â
Caitlyn blinked. Then, instead of backtracking, she straightened her posture, tilting her head slightly. âYes,â she said, completely serious. âOur meeting time. And I broke it. Which means I need to make it up to you somehow.â
You leaned on the counter, amused. âOh yeah? And how do you plan on doing that?â
She hummed, pretending to think about it before giving you a small smirk. âWell, for starters⌠Iâll let you pick my drink today.â
You blinked. âWait, what?â
âI donât think I want the usual,â she said casually, resting her elbows on the counter. âWhat do you recommend? I want to try something new.â
You stared at her for a second. Caitlyn had been ordering the same thing every morning since the day you met her. Now she was just⌠trusting you to pick something for her?
âOh wow,â you said, placing a hand on your chest mockingly. âThis is a big responsibility. What if I mess it up?â
She grinned. âThen I guess Iâll just have to punish you.â
You choked on your own saliva.
Caitlyn laughed, absolutely delighted by your reaction. âRelax,â she teased, her voice dropping just a little lower. âI just meant Iâd make you remake it if itâs terrible.â
You swallowed hard, regaining whatever composure you had left. âRight. Of course. Thatâs what you meant.â
She winked. âObviously.â
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
After that, your routine changed.
At exactly 7 a.m., Caitlyn would walk in, looking effortlessly gorgeous, and instead of ordering her usual, sheâd lean on the counter and ask, âWhatâs on the menu today?â
And every morning, youâd surprise her with something new. A different coffee, a new kind of tea, a random experimental drink that sometimes turned out great and sometimes⌠not so much. (She still drank them, thoughâgrinning at you over the rim of her cup like she secretly enjoyed watching you squirm.)
You spent as much time talking as the morning rush allowed, stealing moments between customers, exchanging teasing glances, and sharing stories that made the mundane mornings feel electric.
And then there were the texts.
At first, they were casualâupdates on her day, comments on whatever drink youâd made for her, the occasional complaint about a professor or a late-night craving for coffee. But soon, they became⌠constant.
Messages during lunch. During her breaks. Late at night when you were both too stubborn to sleep.
You talked about everything.
Her childhood. Your family. Her ridiculous rich-person hobbies (which, yes, included knowing how to shoot, for some bizarre reason). The names of her childhood dogs. The fact that she still slept with a ridiculous amount of pillows.
There were no awkward pauses, no forced conversations. Just endless back-and-forth banter, teasing, and something elselingering between the words that neither of you addressed.
Until one night, when your phone buzzed with a notification:
Cait đ: So, when are you going to ask me out on a proper date? Or do I have to do everything in this relationship?
You blinked.
Stared.
Read it again.
You: Relationship?
The little typing bubble appeared instantly.
Cait đ: Oh, my bad. Did you think all this was just friendly customer service?
You gawked at your screen.
Was she serious? Was she just teasing? Was this a test?
You: I mean⌠technically, I do give excellent customer service.
Cait đ: Uh-huh. And do you text all your customers at midnight?
You: Only the pretty ones.
You hesitated for half a second before hitting send.
And then, before you could panic about that message, she replied:
Cait đ: So just me, then.
You: Yeah. Just you.
The typing bubble appeared again.
Then it stopped.
Then it started again.
Your heart was practically in your throat.
Cait đ: Friday. 8 p.m. Iâm picking you up. Wear something cute.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
You could not wait for Friday.
And, apparently, the universe had something against you, because the week felt twice as long as usual.
Every hour dragged. Every class felt like a never-ending lecture. Every shift at work felt excruciatingly slow, even with Caitlyn still dropping by at 7 a.m. sharp, flashing you that smug little smirk like she knew you were impatiently counting down the days.
By Friday afternoon, you had done everything you could possibly do to make time pass faster.
Assignments? Finished.
Room? Spotless.
Laundry? Folded.
At one point, you even considered reorganizing your entire closet just to keep yourself busy. But no matter what you did, 8 p.m. refused to get any closer.
You were convinced that if given a few more hours, you could probably find the cure for cancer before the time for your date actually arrived.
You sat up, swinging your legs over the side of the bed. Maybe you needed to redo your hair. Or change outfits. You thought you looked good, but what if the lighting in your room had deceived you?
You rushed to the mirror, checking yourself for the tenth time. You turned to the side, then to the other, scrutinizing every detail.
Your outfit was good. Really good. You had picked something that made you feel confident, something that you knew Caitlyn would like. (Not that you had memorized her favorite colors or anything. That would be insane. Definitely not something you had done.)
Your hair? Also fine. Your face? Fine.
So why the hell did you feel like a mess?
You groaned, flopping onto your back dramatically. âIâm gonna die before 8 p.m.,â you mumbled to no one in particular.
Your phone buzzed.
You launched yourself up, grabbing it instantly.
Cait đ: Excited?
You bit your lip, debating how to answer. Be cool. Be casual. Donât let her know youâve been losing your mind all day.
You: Meh. Itâs just a date. Not like Iâve been counting down the minutes or anything.
Cait đ: Youâre terrible at lying.
You scoffed, shaking your head.
You: Am not.
Cait đ: Mhm. Keep telling yourself that.
You rolled your eyes, smiling despite yourself.
Cait đ: Iâll be there in 30. Be ready, sweetheart.
Suddenly, your heart was pounding.
Oh. Oh, shit.
This was real.
You were going on a date with Caitlyn tonight.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
Caitlyn picked you up in a sleek, undeniably fancy car. You had no idea what kind it wasâcars werenât exactly your thingâbut it looked expensive and smelled like it had never known a day of spilled coffee or fast food wrappers.
But the car was the last thing on your mind.
Because Caitlyn? Caitlyn looked gorgeous.
Her usual high ponytail was gone, replaced with loose waves that framed her face perfectly. She wore a crisp white button-down shirt, sleeves rolled up just enough to show off her forearms, paired with tailored black slacks and shiny loafers that somehow made her legs look even longer. She was all elegance and confidenceâand yet, when she smiled at you, there was still that warmth, that sparkle that made your chest flutter.
âYou look⌠wow,â you said as you slid into the passenger seat, your voice almost caught in your throat.
Caitlyn glanced at you, lips tugging into a knowing smile. âYou donât look so bad yourself.â
You laughed softly, your nerves settling a little as the car pulled smoothly out of your driveway. âIs this where you tell me weâre going somewhere casual and Iâm overdressed?â
She grinned. âNope. I figured we could both use a night out somewhere a little extra.â
âWell, mission accomplished,â you said, glancing over at her again. âYouâre dangerously close to making me forget how to form coherent sentences.â
She smirked, eyes still on the road. âThatâs the goal.â
You turned to the window, smiling like an idiot, cheeks burning just a little. How was this your life right now?
âHow was your day?â Caitlyn asked after a moment, her voice softer now, more intimateâlike the initial flirty spark had melted into something quieter and warmer.
You told her about your shift, your overly nosy coworker, and the old lady who insisted that oat milk was a government conspiracy meant to destroy traditional dairy farming. Caitlyn laughed, the sound bubbling out of her so naturally, like she was genuinely enjoying every second with you. And maybe she was.
The conversation flowed effortlessly on the drive to the restaurantâCaitlyn had finally caved and told you where you were going after a little playful proddingâand when you arrived, your jaw nearly hit the floor.
The place was fancy. Not just candlelight-and-linen-napkins fancy, but the kind of fancy where the valet wore white gloves, and the front of the menu didnât even have prices.
You stepped out of the car slowly, glancing up at the glowing sign and the perfectly manicured entryway. Suddenly, the outfit you had spent hours choosing didnât feel like quite enough. You smoothed your hands over your clothes and swallowed hard, a flicker of anxiety settling in your chest.
You knew Caitlyn had money. That was never a mysteryâeverything about her practically whispered old money and prestige. But standing outside this restaurant, with her looking like sheâd walked out of a fashion editorial and you feeling like you didnât quite belong, you couldnât help the quiet question that crept into your mind:
What does she even see in me?
Caitlyn stepped beside you, noticing the way you hesitated. She gently touched your hand, her fingers brushing yours. âHey,â she said, catching your eye. âYou okay?â
You nodded a little too quickly. âYeah, just⌠wasnât expecting a place like this.â
She tilted her head, her expression softening. âI wanted to take you somewhere special. Not to impress youâjust⌠because I think you deserve something special.â
You blinked at her, your heart doing something traitorous in your chest.
âAnd for the record,â she added, leaning in just slightly, like she was reading your mind, âyou belong exactly here. With me.â
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
After that first moment of insecurity, everything fell into place. It didnât matter that you werenât used to places like this. It didnât matter that you felt underdressed or that you had to quietly Google a few words on the menu under the table. None of it mattered, because Caitlyn made you feel welcomeâseen. Like you belonged not just at her table, but with her.
She didnât look at you like you were out of place. She looked at you like you were the only thing in the room worth paying attention to. Every smile, every glance, every gentle brush of her hand across yours grounded you. And with her, this fancy restaurant didnât feel so intimidating anymoreâit felt like a memory youâd want to replay a hundred times.
âSo,â Caitlyn said, casually sipping her wine, âI have a track competition coming upâI think I told you about it?â
You nodded, already smiling. âYeah, you mentioned it.â
âWell, Iâd really like you to come,â she said, her voice a little more tentative, like the invitation mattered more than she wanted to admit.
âOh, Iâll definitely be there,â you grinned. âFront row. With a giant glittery sign that says â#1 Caitlyn Fan.â Maybe Iâll even wear a matching tracksuit.â
She laughed, leaning back in her seat. âPlease do. I want pictures.â
âCareful what you wish for,â you teased. âIâm not above going full cheerleader mode.â
She raised an eyebrow, a playful spark in her eyes. âNow thatâs something I need to see.â
You leaned in slightly, resting your elbow on the table and tilting your head. âOh yeah? You fantasize about me in a crop top and pom-poms, Kiramman?â
Caitlyn didnât miss a beat. âOnly every night.â
You nearly choked on your drink, laughter spilling from your lips as she smirked. âYouâre dangerous.â
âIâve been told,â she replied, her voice dropping just enough to make your heart skip. âBut you seem brave.â
You stared at her, all trace of joking fading for a beat. Warmth settled in your chest, creeping up your neck. She was looking at you in that way againâthe kind that made everything else disappear.
âGod, youâre beautiful,â you whispered before your brain could stop your mouth.
Caitlynâs smile softened. âSo are you,â she said, her voice low and honest.
The air between the two of you shifted instantly, thick with something unspoken. Your heart thudded in your chest as warmth crept up your neck, your cheeks flushedâyou didnât know if it was the wine or just the effect of being near Caitlyn.
Then you felt itâher foot slowly sliding up your leg under the table, smooth and deliberate, and your breath caught in your throat. You practically melted in your seat, your fingers tightening slightly around the edge of the table for composure.
Caitlyn was still watching you, eyes darker now, pupils slightly dilated. There was something unreadable in her gaze, something electric.
âDo you want to get out of here?â she asked, her voice no louder than a whisper, but heavy with suggestion.
You swallowed hard, pulse pounding, every nerve ending alive. âYes,â you breathed. âGod, yes.â
She didnât smile this timeânot in the usual teasing wayâbut there was a curve to her lips that told you sheâd been waiting for that answer.
The ride back to her place was quiet but charged, your fingers brushing on the gearshift, the tension between you stretching tighter with every passing second. The moment her door closed behind the two of you, it snapped.
She stepped forward, cupped your face with both hands, and kissed you like sheâd been holding back all night. There was nothing hesitant nowâjust heat and hands and the thrum of something real blooming between you.
When you finally broke apart, both of you breathless, her forehead rested against yours again.
âStill think you donât belong in my world?â she whispered, her thumb brushing across your lips.
You shook your head, smiling against her touch. âI think I might be exactly where Iâm supposed to be.â

jungkook has been looking over revisions for the past three hours. the promotion was more exciting when he worked for it... now, he feels way too overworked and honestly? for what?
the truth is, he only chased after the promotion because he knew it would be something you'd be proud of him for doing. you've always been the type to chase after things greater than yourself and wished for jungkook to do the same. well, this is it. this is jungkook doing just that for you. he hopes you can see it. he hopes you know it.
currently, he feels like his eyeballs might roll out of his head. he's bored and might lose his mind if he goes through one more slide (he has at least 200 slides left). irritated, he pushes away from his desk and stands up.
he stretches, trying to wake himself up a little more. then, he stares at the view from his office window.
the city is beautiful but he would much rather be looking at you.
suddenly, as if the angels heard him, his phone rings.
it's you.
he picks up immediately.
"hello?"
he doesn't know why, but he feels nervous. you never call. you always text or facetime... a call? what the fuck could be going on?
"hi... are you busy?" you ask, a little quiet. you sound tired.
he raises an eyebrow. "uhh... what's up? everything okay?"
a small laugh escapes your lips. "yeah. why? do i soundâ"
"a little sad," he cuts you off, concerned. "___, what's wrong?"
you stay silent for a moment.
"nothing.â
he doesnât believe you until he hears you sigh in relief.
continuing, you vent; "i just... i think i'm just stressed. i don't know. i wanted a break and suddenly i picked up my phone and called you. s-sorry. i... you're probably busy with the new promotion andâ"
"i'm not that busyâ"
like perfect timing, jungkook's office line interrupts. "mr. jeon, your 2pm meeting is being pushed back so you have time for lunch today."
jungkook clears his throat and thanks his assistant.
"new assistant?" you ask, letting curiosity get the best of you. "she pretty?"
"she's fired if you want."
"shut up!" you laugh. "i could care lessâ"
"oh, you care..." jungkook smirks. "hey, i'm glad you called. you can always call. i'm here for you when you need.. i don't want you to think anything else."
"okay.." is all you say.
jungkook takes a deep breath in. "did you eat today?"
"i ate. did you?"
"been busyâ"
"you said you weren't busy!"
"hey, i'm not the lawyer!"
"still... i... listen, i'll let you go. i should probably get back to work or somethingâ"
jungkook panics. "i'm cancelling my 2pm."
"what?"
"y-yeah... i'm looking at their revisions and i haven't even gotten through half of it. it's also shit so i'm just gonna tell them to redo everything. will i be the most hated boss? we'll find out."
on the other end of the line, you snicker.
"you can't blow off work."
"i can."
".... c-can i confess something?"
jungkook gulps, feeling sick to his stomach.
"what?"
you fidget with your fingers, unsure if you should continue.
"honey, what is it?" jungkook asks softly. "whatever it is... i'm here for you. you know that."
"i... uhm... i called because i was stressed..."
"... yeah?"
"jungkook," you pause, biting your bottom lip. is it too much to say this? at the same time... it's not like he has ever denied you anything. you might as well... "i need to relieve some stress. like, i need to focus on something that isn't work or our son. you know what i mean? everything is fine, honest! i just... i want to be focused on something and be present. i feel like i've been mindless for a hot minute... i just... look, if you're going home... is it okay if i come over? can i suck your dick or something?"
jungkook rushes home.
he changes his bedsheets and runs a quick shower. it's not like he needed to put in this much effort (it's literally the bare minimum) but it's the first time in a long time where you needed him. having sex and initiating was more so 50/50; but this was different. you need him.
he's your relief.
and also... it's a little funny, is it not? it's only 2pm on a random wednesday and you need him.
when you arrive, jungkook takes a few deep breaths before opening the door. his studio apartment is definitely smaller than your place (aka the place you two shared for 4 years), but it's okay. it's only temporary. he knows in his heart that he'll be back home with you in no time. this afternoon proves exactly that...
if today you need him for his body and tomorrow you need his heart; he'd give it.
"wow... i hate this already." you take a minute to laugh at yourself. you feel so beyond stupid and embarrassed... it's practically indescribable. though you and jungkook fool around and have always had an active sex life... right now felt different. right now felt... weird? but if it was ever going to feel weird; at least it's with him.
before you even step foot inside his place, you're turning your heel. "you know what? i should... uhm, this was stupid. sorryâ"
jungkook grabs your arm and pulls you inside.
you stay still as he leans towards you face. he pokes your cheek and chuckles. "come on, honey. i said i'd be here for you. let me be here for you."
squinting at him, you move his finger off your face. "you just want your dick sucked."
"you offered," he snorts. "so pull through."
in hindsight, jungkook should've been more prepared than this.
but he isn't.
he fights to urge to spill himself all over your pretty hands every time you pump his cock. it's toe-curling the way you drag your wrist up and down. he throws his head back so much, it's beginning to get sore. leaving him with no option but to fucking watch you give him the most life changing blowjob of his life.
"are you okay?" you ask, batting your eyelashes at him. "you look stressed."
"i am stressed."
"what? whyâ"
"no! f-fuck, don't stop." he growls, not liking the way you suddenly stop. you purse your lips, catching on that he just feels edged out.
already?
... okay.
you continue to pump him, gripping on the base of his cock and moving your way up. his skin is so soft yet he's so hard. like... so fucking hard you know for a fact you don't want to fuck him right now. it'd hurt too much.
"you're so hard already," you utter under your breath. "and i swear to god, it's like your dick gets bigger every time i see it."
"i love you more every time i see you that's why."
"damn," you hiss. "can you... just let me do this? i wanna focus on... wanna focus onâ"
"shut up."
you laugh, reaching up to place a kiss on his lips. he leans forward, gladly meeting your lips. when you pull away, you plop yourself in a more exact position in front of him. jungkook feels his balls get heavy as you kneel, part his legs, and begin to tie your hair up.
he helps you.
gathering your hair, you give him your hair tie. he quickly ties your hair before leaning back and trying to catch one last good breath.
he fails.
his breath hitches as you kiss his tip.
"w-waitâ"
you don't.
you lick his length, dragging your tongue down to his base. there, you suck his balls and use your hands to pump. jungkook gulps, watching you do this. he doesn't know what to do. usually, he's really into it but there's something different about right now.
right now, he's in a trance.
he's mesmorized at how much your touch changes all the chemistry in his body. saying you send electricity throughout his body is an understatement. butterflies don't mean a damn thing either. it's captivating and everything but sweet.
it feels twisted in his stomach. it feels like he's on the edge on a cliff and the only way he can ease his fear is by jumping off.
he has to give in and let his body react to you.
he has to let you have this and from the looks of it (and feel of it); you've giving him everything you've got.
just then, you snap jungkook out of his thoughts as you attempt to take him inside your mouth. you make an effort to look up, eyes teary from holding in your gag. he's so big. there's no other way to explain it and there's no way you're going to stop thinking it.
he's so fucking big.
like what other choice do you have but to slobber all over it? you just have to. not to mention, he always tastes good. his cum, yes, but just his dick in general... is that weird? who cares.
jungkook's dick barely fits in your mouth. but you try to make it work. you want himâall of him. as you bob your head, easing your way to his full length, jungkook lets out a loud moan.
you look up and see his chest rising and falling. his abdomen twitches and so does his dick. you like the way he looks right now. as you suck, his breathing intensifies. soon, he's panting and you're near gagging.
you take a moment to catch your breath.
pulling away, your hands continue the show. jungkook brings his attention back to your hands and watches as the tip of his cock turns angry. god, it's getting bigger?
you practically drool.
jungkook leans over and wipes the access saliva around your lips. then, he shoves his thumb into your mouth. happily, you suck on it. bobbing your head, shutting your eyes, and letting out little moans; jungkook feels like he's losing his mind.
you look so fucking pretty.
when he takes his thumb out, you dive back to his dick. this time, he holds you by the back of your neck and guides you through it. jungkook pushes your head slowly but surely. then, he stops moving it. he keeps it in place as he lifts his hips and rolls them.
before you know it, he's fucking your mouth.
rolling your eyes back, jungkook moans at the sight. of course you're taking it like a slut. of course you're enjoying it too.
"you like this, huh? you like having your face fucked?" jungkook hisses in between breathy pants.
you gag in response.
jungkook pulls his dick out and slaps your mouth with it. his veiny member feels so good against your lips. you want it back in your mouth.
"answer me."
"mhmm," you whimper. "i like it so much. put it back inâmmhphâ"
"fuck yes," he shoves his cock back into your mouth. "so pretty, honey. the absolute prettiest."
suddenly, he lets you go. it's then that you take the liberty to give it everything you've got.
you twirl your tongue around his tip, suck his length in every way possible. your hands pump to compliment your oral skills and jungkook can't help but think he's the luckiest man on earth.
then, it happens.
you feel his dick twitch. he instantly thrusts himself more aggressively to chase the climax. you behave and take it. then, squirts of his cum escape his tip. he cries, pulls out of your mouth, and aims at your face.
you shut your eyes, feeling his cum hit your cheeks and lips.
he lets out a moan of relief.
after a moment passes, you get up from your position and sit on his lap. wrapping your legs around him, he offers you a tired smile. then, he lifts his hands to wipe his cum off your face. opening your mouth, he gives it to you like icing.
you swallow and he feels like he might need a fucking minute.
then, you let out a little giggle when you notice how sweaty he is. you push his hair back and begin to laugh.
"w-what?" he worries. "why are you laughing at me?"
"you're sweating? as if you did any workâ"
"i was literally fucking your face!"
"yeah but you're not the one that's gonna have sore cheeks for like three days or bruised knees!"
he shuts up.
you roll your eyes at him and continue to play with his hair. you feel his dick calm down under you. thank god. that fucking beast is scary when you're not in the mood...
"what time is it?" you ask, breaking the silence and breathing in the smell of sin.
jungkook shrugs. "dunno. also don't wanna move. stay like this with me."
you huff. "should i take my panties off or something?"
"why?"
"wanna cockwarm me?"
seriously...
he just might be the luckiest man on earth.
jungkook clears his throat as you straighten up your posture. "wait, i'll just put my panties to the side like thisâahh, mmhmm... y-yeah. like this.... feels good."
by now, jungkook's soft cock is inside you.
you like the feeling and so does he.
suddenly, you rest your head of his shoulder. he wraps his arms around you and holds you. kissing the side of your head, he asks; "you feeling better? relieved?"
"mhmm."
"good." jungkook tightens his lips, as he brings his hands to your hair. he runs them through and you take a deep breath in. you like the way he feels right now... so intimate.
"hey... did we talk a lot during sex?" he asks.
"don't remember."
"oh, okay..." jungkook looks around his studio apartment and suddenly feels embarrassed at how messy it is. "can i come with you to pick zion up today?"
"sure."
jungkook tightens his hold on you. you laugh and tell him it's too tight. he stops squeezing you and asks for a kiss. you give it to him. against your lips, he mummbles; "am i talking too much? i think i'm nervous or somethingâ"
"then shut up."
"heyâ"
you pull away and cup his cheeks.
"i feel your dick rising inside me. i don't have the energy for round two. either make the boner go away or i'll get off."
jungkook gulps. then, he shuts his eyes and thinks of every possible un-sexy thing ever... and it works. his dick softens again and you thank him with a kiss. jungkook takes his chance and intertwines your fingers together. you let him do so and his heart soars. something about him being inside you makes you feel so whole. thereâs no denying that⌠and you love it, really. you love him, truly.
for a few more moments, you two stay like this.
you two are together.

CRUSH CRAZY | PAIGE BUECKERS

Ëâ⧠summary: the new physio of the Uconn Wbb has caught the eye of their golden player, but it seems Paige has become a little... crush crazy.
â
Ëâ⧠warnings: hoping none

"AND BEFORE YOU TAKE THE PILLS MAKE SURE YOU ATE SOME FOOD" I said to Azzi. It's been about 2 weeks since I started working with her, the Uconn medical staff have been nothing but welcoming.
At first, I didn't know what I was getting myself into, where I come from basketball isn't a big enough thing the way football is ( soccer ). I also didn't spend that much tie on social media, but as soon as I opened tiktok, tons of edits filled my page, most about Uconn and other teams. There were especially edits of Uconn's number five.
Paige Bueckers.
The girl was attractive. And she had the confidence to prove it. Me and Paige had very little contact together , but even if it was for a second, for some odd reason, my stomach was filled with butterflies.
"Thank you again" Azzi's sweet voice said. I turned around to look at the girl, after she underwent surgery for tearing her ACL during practice last November, there was still a little pain in the leg, but nothing that should stop her from rejoining the team in January. Of course, left out from not being in the action.
"No problem and please be careful ,i dont wanna se you anymore, you're boring' I jokingly said to her, she let out a laugh. I heard a chuckle behind me, when I turned, there in all her glory, number five.
"Hi Paige" I muttered, suddenly becoming shy.
"Hey" She said grinning. "Soooooo..."
"Paige" I said sternly, hiding my smile. "What are you doing here?"
"I-I was just checking up on Azzi" She told me, cracking a small smile at Azzi. I hoped the disappointed wasn't showing in my face, the delusional part in me was hoping she just came to see me.
"Well she's all yours"
â°
"Coach" Nika yelled, suddenly at Geno. "I don't feel so good"
"What happened?" Geno questioned her, making her sit down. She was fine 10 minutes ago.
"I feel like I'm gonna throw up" She said, staring at the ground. Coach felt Paige come beside him. "You okay?" Paige asked, Nika shook her head.
"Maybe we should call Y/N" Paige said, Nika nodded. Geno looked at the both of them, did they hit their head?
"Y/N's a physio, she doesn't deal with stomach problems" He explained, then he heard a cackle come from behind them. KK.
Now he got it, just before Nika came up to him, she was talking with Paige and KK, the three of them whispering amongst one another. Knowing Paige and her little crush, he could figure out that she put Nika up to this.
"Try telling me that again after suicides, maybe i'll believe it then" He said, trying to hide his smile, both Nika and Paige groaned. KK struggled to hide her laugh, scratch that, she didn't even hide it.
"Girl Boo, maybe next time" She said to Paige, laughing.
â°
Practice was over, and everybody was tired. Most of them half a sleep, including Paige. While they were used to their morning practices, Paige had a late night.
"Nah I'm going pick up something from Y/N real quick" She hard Aubrey say. Hearing Y/N name, Paige was awake real quick.
" I'll come with you" She offered, the locker suddenly filled with laughs. Her teammate agreed but not before teasing her with the rest. After getting ready, both of the Uconn basketball players made their way to the medical wing, Paige was nervous, she was always nervous to see Y/N. Suddenly feeling insecure, Paige smelled herself, stressing because she's sweaty. She heard her teammate laugh. "Bro relax" Aubrey reassured her.
When they finally stood in front of Y/N's office door, when Aubrey saw that Paige was still in a bit of a daze, she took the honor of knocking on the office door. When they both heard a sweet voice yelling come in, they followed her orders.
"Oh Hi" I said surprised to see both of them here. Aubrey replied greeting me back, but Paige, just stood there staring at her, grinning like a maniac. "Hi P" I said to her.
"Hey" she replied. Before i could ask what she was doing here, Aubrey caught my attention, asking about her meds and if she could take lighter ones. I replied to all her questions, asking if she was feeling okay or if she needed a checkup. While i talked to Aubrey, i could feel Paige's eyes on me at the side of my head.
As Aubrey left, i expected for Paige to follow her, but the blonde didn't move. "P, do you need something?" i asked her.
"there's this party tonight , you should stop by"
Was Paige inviting you as a date? no.
"Okay, text me the details and i'll think about it" i kinda accepted her invite. Tonight i already made plans with my roommate, i don't think its a good idea to cancel those just because i want to see my crush. I also didn't want my hopes to be up.
While Y/N thought about that, Paige was beaming with excitement on the inside, if Y/N did show up tonight. this was going to be the night where she made her move.
â°
She didn't show, she. didn't. show.
In Y/N's head, she didn't think not being at that party was a big deal. she assumed Paige was just being nice inviting her and she definitely didn't know that P was disappointed.
Today they had normal hard practices, and today was actually the final time Paige tried to get Y/N's attention. no like actually the last time.
As she dribbled the ball, suddenly she dropped the ball, and dramatically fell to the ground. Ice let out a laugh, but while she knew what Paige's plan was, Geno and Y/N didn't.
I gasped, seeing Paige suddenly on the ground, she was fine literally 10seconds ago. Quickly running over, followed by the rest of the coaching staff.
âCan u get up by yourself?â
âI can tryâ
okay good sign, good sign. itâs not broken.
âTo my officeâ I instructed both Nika and Paige. While holding on to Paige, giving her a bit of support.
When we arrived, I made Paige lay down. And started testing her knee. It seemed fine, actually perfect.
âMaybe we should get another opinion, I donât think my brains working properlyâ
I canât seem to find out whats wrong, she says her knee hurts, but the tests i did make her look perfect.
âUmmm Alrightâ i heard her hesitate. Her voice slightly nervous.
âPaigeâ
âYeahâ
âAre you⌠not injured?â
âKindaâ She answered.
I furrowed my eyebrows, making me think back. Maybe she didnât want the pressure or she just wanted an excuse out of practice.
âPaige if you are using this to get out of practice well youâve got another thing comi-â
âIm using this as an excuse to see youâ She cut you off.
âWhatâ
âIâve literally been giving you hints all year and youâre telling me you didnt know i liked you?â
âWell noâ I answered honestly. When i finally met her eyes, a small smile took over my face. Her sad face turned hopeful.
âI like you too Pâ i said âYou couldve just asked me out and this wouldnât have had to happenâ
âDonât even try to turn this on me maâ she started ranting, you just laughed and stood there watching. Okay so you werenât delusional.

The sweet, lovable voice filled up your kitchen as your little one counted everything you put on her plate. She had just started learning numbers, so everything that she could count, she wouldnât miss a chance.
"5!"
"No, honey. Itâs 4, then 5. There you go. Can you carry it?" You leaned down to slowly place the plate on her little hands. She was always excited for her snack time because you would put all different things together, so she had more choices for her food. This time, you had prepared frozen banana yoghurt bites, small slices of apples, a few small peanut butter bites, and some goldfish crackers.
"No! I carry."
"Okay, careful!" You were going to help her bring the plate to her small table in the living room, but she wanted to do everything on her own now.
"Need dadaâs help?" Charles heard the little steps tapping against the floor first before he saw his little girl with a plate full of her snacks. The plate was bigger than her face, and it was a bit of a struggle to carry it but she kept on denying every offer of help.
"No!" She placed it on her table, looked at her dad with the biggest smile and started clapping her hands. "Yay!"
"Yay! What have you got there?"
"This.." She pointed at the frozen banana yoghurt bites and took one in her hand. "Banana!"
"That one?" Charles pointed at the goldfish cracker.
"That is fish!" She took one and munched on it, her cheeks puffing out from trying to chew them thoroughly.
"Can dada get some?â
"Let me think!" She puckered her lips and scanned through her plate to decide which one she was going to give to Charles. "Dada want this?" She took a few goldfish crackers, leaving her with two left. "There. I need more fish! Dada wait!"
"Oh? You want me to wait here? Okay, baby. Can dada eat this?" He showed her the handful of crackers in his hand that she just gave.
"Yes!" She stood up wobbly and ran to the kitchen again, this time with a half-empty plate. There were only two crackers left and one banana bites. "Mommy, more?"
"Did you actually eat all of them? That was quick." Your brows furrowed as you took the pink-coloured plate from her.
"Dada ate too!" She giggled and extended her arms to get her plate back.
"What?" You peeked at your husband laying on the couch with a fistful of crackers, treating it as some sort of popcorn, while his eyes locked on the television. "Charles! Are you being serious? Stop taking her snacks!"
Your voice made him jumped, but he continued chomping on the crackers again. "Honey, she was the one who gave it to me."
âWell, then stop taking it!" You put a few more crackers into a small bowl this time before giving it to her. "Donât share with daddy. This will be the last one, okay? No more."
"Thank you, mommy!" The sound of her footsteps clomping again as she ran back to her dad "Uh oh, mommy angry." She pulled a face and pointed her little finger at her dad, making him laugh.
"You cheeky girl! Mommyâs angry at me because of you." He pinched her chubby cheek as she munched on the crackers again. "Is it good?â
"Yes! Dada want?" She took one off her plate and handed it to Charles.
"Itâs okay, baby. Dadaâs full."
The little one frowned and looked down on her plate with her bottom lips jutting out, feeling rejected. The cracker she had in her small palm kept being twiddled in it.
Charles pressed his lips together to control his expression. His little girl had already learned how to give attitude if none of her requests were being obeyed. He would always get in trouble because you would scold him for being too fulfilling with her requests, but how could he say no to that squishy little face?
"Okay, okay. Give me one." She the handed him the one she had fiddling in her palm and squealed when Charles ate it.
"Dada more?" She offered another one and he shook his head again.
"No, thank you, baby."
"Please dada.." She pulled a pleading look with her big, round eyes, making him lose this round as well. She giggled and put the cracker in his mouth when he leaned closer.
You then walked into the living room with your hands crossed, glaring at your husband, who was still chewing on something. "Can you stop taking your daughterâs snack?"
"Iâm not, honey! I swear! Right, baby?"
"Dada wants more!" She squealed, making Charlesâs mouth wide open.
"Honey, donât listen to her!"
"Well, she obviously doesnât know how to lie! Right, baby? Is dada taking your snack?" Your brows were still furrowed as you looked at your husband, who was speechless in his seat.
"She was the one who offered me the crackers!" Charles argued.
âDada said more!â She shrieked and handed another one of the fish crackers to Charles, making you chew on your lips.
âYou know, if you really want it, I can give the whole packet to you. Stop taking it from her.â
âIâm not, honey!â

I wish you would write a fic where they remedy the 'he fell asleep during sexi-time' situation
(so. reading this back iâve realized something possessed me and this is probably not what you were hoping for anon đ but once the idea got in my head i just ran with it. sorry!!)
âSo, how are we doing today?â
It feels like a reprise of their first session. Itâs raining, today, and the gentle tap tap tap of it against the windows feels like a comforting embrace. Not just for the serenity, but because things have been good, recently. The pit of hope that they can make it through anything has only bloomed inside him since they first saw Dr. Spencer, and it keeps him afloat as he leans to the side so he can keep holding Carlosâ hand.
The first few questions are geared toward Carlos, as Dr. SpencerâHelen, she keeps reminding themâasks him about his work; about any changes he might have made recently after previous revelations about grief and finding answers at the bottom of a case file. It still takes a few moments for Carlos to put his thoughts together, to be vulnerable, but he reflects on all thatâs changed in the past two weeks as TK gets lost in staring at his husband.
He crosses one leg over the other and feels at peace, as he reminisces on this morningâs brunch at a new place uptown, where they ate on a colourful patio and shared chilaquiles while sipping on iced lattes. TK absentmindedly plays with his wedding ring, twisting it around his finger with his thumb, as he takes in the way Carlos looks younger, now that heâs here in this office out of uniform.
He still grapples with a weight too big to name, visible in the slight hunch of his shoulders and his need, today, for his glasses, but he looks beautiful just the sameâcurls not tamed by any gel, his arms bursting in his maroon t-shirt.
âYou look like you agree, TK,â Helen says, snapping him from his reverie. Carlos had been talking about how thereâs still work to do, but theyâre good, again. More like how they used to be.
âI do,â TK nods, squeezing back when Carlos grips his fingers tight. âIt started on the night of our anniversary, actually.â
âTell me about it,â Helen encourages, pen poised above her notepad but her warm gaze focused on them both.
âWe justâŚconnected, again,â TK starts, gazing over at his husband to find Carlos already looking at him.
That night is something rich in vivid colour to him, a treasured keepsake that he cradles in the space between his ribs and his heart. He remembers his pulse jackrabbiting when Carlos looked imploringly at him; when Carlos spoke the words TKâs always believed to be true, that every moment they share is a gift.
TK also remembers the kiss. The moan he fed into his husbandâs mouth when Carlosâ hand gripped the back of his neck and pivoted them so TK was pressed against the dining table; the shivers that traveled up his spine when Carlosâ knee pushed between his legs.
âYou had a long day,â TK gasps, as Carlos bites down on the hinge of his jaw. âYouâre sure youâreââ
âBaby, Iâm sure,â Carlos tells him, lips ghosting over the shell of his ear. He steps away, then, and walks toward their bedroom. With a crook of his finger, Carlosâ voice sounds wrecked as he half-pleads, half-commands, âCome here.â
TK can still feel the weight of his husband: on his body, against his thighs, on his tongue. TK looks at Carlos again, and feels a dimple carve into his cheek as he shrugs one shoulder and tells Helen: âHe didnât fall asleep on me this time.â
Carlos rolls his eyes playfully, but strokes his thumb over TKâs knuckles. âNever living that one down, huh, babe.â
TK grins, and wants to sit in the familiarity of their teasing longer, but something more prods at his brain.
âWe arenâtâI donât think we can be what we once were, exactly,â TK admits, looking now at the patterned carpet under their feet. âBut we arenât the same people we were before my mom died. We arenât the same people we were before we lost our first place together. And I think this path weâre onâŚI think itâll take time, but, weâll be better. We always make it through.â
Carlos gives him a watery smile, and presses a kiss to the back of TKâs hand. âAlways.â
(i wish you would write a fic whereâŚgame!)

"How could I? I didn't have my phone?" the girl asked slightly panicked,.
"That's because you had mine," Lando spoke up, tapping on his phone, "You logged into your account from mine," he said showing it to the girl.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP ME?" She yelled.
"BECAUSE YOU GUYS KEPT RUNNING ONTO THE FUCKING ROAD AND LOGAN AND ARTHUR COSPLAYED SPIDER-MAN" He yelled back.
"Okay, okay," Max put his hands up to calm the two down, sometimes they were so similar he'd want to ask if Lando had a twin separated at birth, "Lando, what did she post?"
"oh oooh, this going to be fun," the boy said, switching to the girl's profile.

"Well, that wasn't as bad," y/n shrugged.
"That's cause you didn't have your camera roll," Logan snapped back, finally feeling a little more human, the hangover easing down.
"Look who's talking," the Aussie came to y/n's defence, "You're lucky you didn't have YOUR phone," Oscar called out, making the American's face turn red.
"Damnnn Oscar!" The girl praised, colour returning to his face, all were slowly returning to normal, even Arthur had found his way back to the table. Seeing this, the two older men Max and Charles ordered for the table, while Lando, went through more of Y/n's Instagram with the group.
"Honestly, the response isn't that bad, and our PR officers won't murder us, sooo we're good," he said, smiling and logging out of her Instagram account.
"Oh my god," The Monganeseque boy spoke up after being missing for almost half an hour, " I don't think we ate last night," he said shoving the food in his mouth.
The older men expected one of the other three to corroborate the boy's words but they just witnessed four twenty-somethings guzzling down food and large glasses of OJ, lifting plates to slide food into their mouths, letting runny egg yolks and bacon grease getting over their face and hands.
"Fucking hell," Max snarled, "it's like watching animal planet or something,"
"It's disgusting is what it is," Charles agreed, "MERDE ARTHUR, MAMAN RAISED YOU BETTER THAN THIS!" He yelled at his brother who was currently dipping a rolled up pancake in orange juice.
"Oh mate that's fucking disgusting," Y/n scoffed but then followed suit.
"Both of you are insane," Logan cried out, his accent thick, but failed to notice his own disgusting plate, dipping his bacon in maple syrup.
"ugh, there is something mentally deficient with all of you," Oscar frowned.
"Big words for someone mixing coffee into their oj," Lando cringed, taking a photo of the four and their disgusting eating habits.
"I- I can't look at this, I'm leaving," Charles gave up, holding up his hands in surrender, "I have a meeting at Ferrari anyways,"
"Bye, Charles!" the table chorused.
"Oh shit, it's 11am already?" Max called, looking at his watch, "I've got debrief at noon, see you next race, yeah Y/n?" He patted the girl's shoulder as he left.
"Never, again, ever." She yelled out, behind the man, making him laugh.
"Wait really?" The American looked over, bacon in hand.
"Nah, but like I've got uni and stuff and I've been going Arthurs races as well so, I'll probably be back by Britain or Netherlands," she explained.
"Oh yeah I forgot you still go to uni," Lando said.
"Not all of are millionaires cause of our fast vroom vroom cars," she spit back.
"yeah, yeah, " he waved off, "Oscar, Zak's told me to babysit you till our flight tomorrow so you don't do something or someone," he wriggled his brows, smirking at his teammate, making him roll his eyes, "you regret, so let's go and leave that disgusting abomination here," he said pointing to the coffee-orange juice.
"Guy's I don't know about y'all but I'm going go and pass out in the room till next year," The girl said, pushing away from the table.
"Same," The two boys followed.
oooooh this was â¨â¨â¨ but next we have the summer break chapter đ¤

Dallas with a s/o who lived in NYC too and has a similar accent as him plsđđ (Also I love love love youâre writing keep doing what youâre doing!!!)
Dallas Winston x Reader - NYC
Authors Note - I have like 3 asks before this but I love this and it means it get to write a NY accent and that's so fun
Sorry for never writing yall
No excuse I'm just lazy đ
¤ Just a warning this is super stereotypical
¤ I'm sorry I'm from the south I don't know yall so I'm going off stereotypes đđ
¤ First of all people can barely understand either of you
¤ I mean everyone else has a southern accent, they're used to that
¤ So an accent that sounds like you're drunk 24/7 isn't exactly easy to understand
¤ If you're both from New York, you already have a lot in common
¤ The fights, the accent, the road rage, the food, all that
¤ Now I'm from the south, I haven't met a lot of New Yorkers
¤ But the ones I have met always have such a resting bitch face
¤ So like whenever someone introduced you to Dal (or the other way around) you both had that same, natural glare
¤ And somehow you both got the 'holy shit, you're a New Yorker too??' message
¤ I don't know how but New Yorkers just know if you're a New Yorker
¤ It's like a 6th sense
¤ So naturally you're both mean to each other
¤ The others are like 'oh shirt they hate each other'
¤ You don't
¤ Like eventually you leave and Dals all
"She ain't bad."
¤ And everyone's all
"You just insulted each other like.. 25 times?"
¤ And he just nods and lights a cigarette like he didn't just meet his second favorite person in this town
¤ Naturally you both see each other at some pizza place
¤ Probably one that's closest to greasy NY pizza
¤ This is meant as a compliment, yall have such good pizza omfg
¤ You both realize just how much you have in common
¤ How thick the air is, the random guy getting his ass beat as you're just minding your business, the fact nobody here can understand certain words you say
¤ You two understand each other
¤ If Dallas would ever open up to someone about his trauma (he wouldn't), it'd be you
¤ He knows you've seen at least a sliver of the same shit he did
¤ Anyways, both of yall love to hype of New York together
¤ Like really play into the stereotypes
"Oh ya', a rat nearly ate m' face off once"
"WHAT??"
"Happen'd to me, too"
¤ You both think it's hilarious
¤ Plus yall love to make your accents thicker to confuse people more
¤ Slur the vowels together, mumble more then you need to, then watch people try to figure out what the fuck you just said
¤ Dal gets all mad if someone asks him to lighten up the accent
¤ I think you both like hanging out together because it reminds the other of home
¤ Like Dal almost forgot what a New Yorker who wasn't him sounded like
¤ Plus if Dal ever met your parents, even though he's rude and kind of dangerous, they might tolerate him more
¤ Yall intumidate so many people omg
¤ Like half of that town are sweet southern people
¤ So seeing two New Yorkers you get the classic
"Ew, they're yankees"
¤ Yes we really do say that đ
¤ But people get all scared cuz they're like 'omg they're gonna shoot me'
¤ Again, you both think it's the funniest shit
¤ Like being yelled at by a New Yorker is scary enough
¤ But TWO
¤ It's like you two are so intimidating together it's perfect
¤ Of course Dal asks you on a date to some pizza place and you two walk around the block sharing a cigarette
¤ Another thing
¤ You're actually used to the cold and he's so, so grateful for that
¤ Everyone else in Oklahoma gets all shivery the moment it's less then 60
¤ Like you don't complain about it and he loves that so much
¤ Back to the topic
¤ Date goes great
¤ Once you two become a thing you fight a good amount
¤ I mean you're from the North, it's natural (I think?? This might be stereotypical so sorry)
¤ Even people from the South fight with Dal so this isn't any different
¤ But since you're both used to fights the insults are crazy
¤ Like the gangs jaws have dropped hundreds of times with what the two of yall come up with
¤ Like it's the most foul, disturbingly impressive, heart breaking insults
¤ Then the other returns it with a snicker and another just as horrendously good insult
¤ Match made in heaven

hiii just think about nanami's daughter who is a jujitsu sorcerer w fushiguro, itadori and kugisaki and her just watching her dad die and having to deal with it đ after i watched that episode i immediately thought of that.Â
Iâm so SORRY this took so long and this is so rushed but I had lots of stuff going on so this isnât good T-T
Iâll try to write for your other request! :3
Nanami x Daughter!reader
I donât think any warnings are needed maybe a little blood warning and angst đ

Me and Yuji where walking through the hall of the train station. I curse must have hit my leg because it made me limp quite a bit. But Yuji helped me with his arm around my shoulder to steady me.
I donât know where Maki-san, Megumi-san or the others are. I was scared for my friends but mostly I was scared for my dad.
I donât know where he is. And that makes me so anxious itâs sickening. Like the kind of anxiousness thatâll make you feel like throwing up.
âY/n-san, donât worry too much. I know youâll dad will be just fine.â
How did he know what I was thinking about can he read minds now?
No thatâs stupid.
âI canât help it. He is the only one I have left from my family.â
The next step I took made a wet splashing sound and I looked down to see my leg covered in blood. Some drops soaking into my leg warmers.
I looked up and saw my dad and Mahito.
What are they doing here?
âDad?!â
I watched him look at me half of his body looking burned not even recognisable.
I saw how his face softened when he looked at me. I loved how kind he was even tho he is so strict about me becoming a great sorcerer.
âItadoriâŚâŚâ
âTake it from here now.â
I watched his whole upper body explode.
He was gone?
âD-dad!â
I watched his lower body slack to the ground as it was the only thing left of him.
I rushed to him not caring about this damn curse.
I couldnât even hear what was going on behind me but I knew that right now I lost everything.
I didnât even notice the wet tears slide down my face until one hit my leg.
âDad!â
(Time skip cuz Iâm really REALLY lazyđđ)
When I woke up and looked at the clock it was already 3PM. I slept the whole time?
What else did I expect?
Itâs been like that for the past days.
My room was next to Megumiâs and Yujiâs and I could hear them go in and out.
There was a funeral but honestly it was just me throwing his ash. Well it wasnât even him.
It was just his legs.
For the past few days the only think I ate was a couple of rice balls.
Shoko-san came and checked up on me twice.
But thatâs really it.
She isnât the type to do that anyways.
The others tried to cheer me up, what did they expect? I have no one now.
And I donât care about âbond makes familyâ because when you loose your family there is nothing else and it makes you realise that family is unique and really by blood.
Without a knock the door opened and who else was I expecting?
Gojo.
âGet up.â
âGet out.â
âGet up I said. You canât just lay around.â
âLeave me alone-â
Before I could even ANSWER he threw my blanket away and pulled me out of bed.
He didnât even think about giving me the chance to walk right so he just grinds me over the floor.
The stairs were the worst.
Once outside I saw Yuji and Megumi.
I think we all lost someone dear to us. I know my father cared for everyone and I know his death pained us all.
I just sat on the floor in my pjs.
What does Saturu want me to do now?
âSoooo what now?â
âI donât know.â
âBut Gojo-sensei?â
âBut what I know is that you canât stay in your room forever. First it wonât bring him back and second it will take you from us too. Itâs hard to loose someone we love but I assure you we all lost someone in a short time.â
âIâm sorry.â
âYou are grieving and there is nothing wrong with it. But you nes to make sure it doesnât pull you down further into a whole you will never get out from.â

Spooky Basket: Lewis Hamilton
Formula One Masterlist
word count: 800
description: You and your boyfriend surprise each other with spooky baskets for halloween
A/N: this was supposed to be posted halloween but work and school got in the way! So Happy Late Halloween đ

Lewis was checking his notifications while he waited for you to get off of work when he saw your tweet that said "it's fine I didn't want a spooky basket anyway đ." He closed out twitter and went to google to see what a boo basket was and began getting some ideas on what to do for you and decided to make you one for Halloween. He saw you walking out of your building and quickly locked his phone before climbing out of his car to come greet you.Â
"Hey sweetheart, I missed you. How was work today?" He asked wrapping his arms around you and placing a kiss on your lips.Â
"Hey baby, I missed you too and it was alright, my feet are killing me and I'm hungry." You said.Â
"Well why don't we get you off your feet and go grab some takeout before we head home? And then after we eat, I'll give you a nice foot massage." He offered.
"That sounds nice. Hey do you think Saturday you could come with me while I grab the stuff I need for um Angelica's boo basket?" You asked him as he helped you into the car.Â
"Of course, you know I love spending time with you while you run errands." He said placing a kiss on your lips.Â
You guys headed to y'all's favorite takeout spot before heading home where you ate and were given the foot massage you were promised.Â
While you were at work the next few days Lewis worked on your spooky basket that way he wouldn't risk you finding out about it because he truly wanted to surprise you on Halloween with it and the special halloween flowers he was having made for you. After he finished it up he went your best friends house to leave it there until Halloween which was in two days so you didn't accidentally find it.Â
"She's gonna love this? And the flowers you are having made." Your best friend said as she looked at the basket.Â
"You think so? I've never done anything like this before but I saw her tweet and wanted to surprise her with it and the flowers." He said nervously.
"She's gonna love it Lewis just for the fact that you took the time to make it for her." She said squeezing his hand.Â
"Thank you again, I'll probably come get it Monday night if that's alright with you." He asked.Â
"That's perfect with me, and if I'm not here Kyle knows where it is and can give it to you." She said as Lewis nodded his head before heading out.
Your friend smiled after Lewis left, because little did Lewis know is that you had made him a spooky basket weeks ago and had been hiding it with her so he wouldn't find it.
It was the day before Halloween well more so a few hours before it and you and Lewis were on the couch watching a horror movie together when the doorbell rang. You looked at him confused as he got up to answer it before coming back inside with a huge bouquet of flowers.Â
"You got me flowers?" You asked him.Â
"Not just any flowers but special Halloween ones, I hope you like them." He said handing you the bouquet.Â
You took them and were shocked to see he had you custom flowers made that were decorated with ghostface and the wrapping paper said "let me murdered that pussy" which made you laugh.Â
"Thank you so much baby, I love them and as for that quote you will be never be denied doing that." You said as you kissed him.Â
"I'm glad you like them and good to know but this is part of your Halloween gift, do you want the other half now or do you want to wait until tomorrow?" He asked you.Â
"Would it be wrong to say I want it now because I'm curious to see what the other half is." You asked him.Â
"Not at all. I'll be right back sweets." He said placing a kiss on your forehead before disappearing down the hall.Â
A few minutes later he returns with a Halloween bucket in your hands and you look at him in shock because he didn't actually make you a spooky basket for you? Did he?? He handed you the basket and you wordless sat there looking through it which was making Lewis nervous.Â
"I'm sorry if this isn't the best but I tried because I know how much you wanted one. I hope you like it, i worked really..."he started to say before you threw your arms around him.Â
"Thank you...so much baby. You don't know how this means to me that you made this for me. I love it, the flowers and you so much." You said to him.Â
"Your welcome sweetheart. You know I do anything for you especially to see you smiling like you are right now. I love you so much sweetheart." He said placing a kiss on your lips.Â
"I love you Bubs. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go get your gift." You said leaving him confused as you disappeared down the hall.Â
Lewis sat there confused until you returned with your own spooky basket in hand that you walked over and handed to him.Â
"For you." You said as you took a seat next to him.Â
"Awh sweetheart you shouldn't have." He said as he looked through his basket.Â
"Of course I did. Your my man and you deserve a spooky basket as well." You said making him smile.Â
"Well thank you sweetheart, I love it and you so much. Happy Halloween my love." He said placing a kiss on your lips.Â
"Happy Halloween Bubs." You said smiling at him.Â

Hadestown West End 12/30 notes
Act I
The Lyric is such a tiny theatre, itâs so cute
Melanie La Barrie as Hermes is actually the best thing in the world
RACHELLLLL QUEEN OF THE WORLD (sheâs done nothing but sit on the balcony so far)
i love it in road to hell when Hermes introduces Orpheus but has to remind him to say hi to the audience and he waves like the autistic boy he is itâs wonderful
one of the workers is missing an arm and sheâs just rocking the choreo love that <3
Eurydice is INCREDIBLE omg her voice is so raw and powerful
SCOTTISH ORPHEUS âźď¸âźď¸ they replace every âyesâ he has with âayeâ
RACHEL PERSEPHONE YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!! She ATE livin it up on top- also she and Hermes were besties during her whole time on the surface
ME WHEN THE VIOLIN SOLO IN ALL OVER EVER KNOWN OUUYGHHGHDHWISJSIJSJSJD
Persephone has the most worried and pained expressions every time she dances in Way Down Hadestown, it was so sad. You could tell that she had no control over herself in that moment. (also im just a sucker for puppet choreography)
Scottish Orpheus holds Eurydice at the end of Way Down Hadestown bc he notices her becoming tempted đĽş
HADES BUILT THE WALL BECAUSE DOUBT CAME IN THAT PERSEPHONE WOULDNT COME BACK BRO I HATE THIS SHOW
TURNTABLE JUMPSCARE- since Iâve only seen the tour which obv doesnât have turntables, so all the choreo with it was new to me and it added so much
Is this Hades a baritone? Or even a tenor? He sang Hey Little Songbird way higher than Patrick or even Nickolaus did
I feel like at some point between the obc and now they switched up which fates sing which lines and have which instrumentsÂ
HE STARTS SCREAM SINGING IN WAIT FOR ME LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!! If thereâs anything Iâve learned this week itâs that more pathetic white boys should scream sing in their big numbers (thank you Dylan Wood and Jac Yarrow)
Scottish Orpheusâ voice is just so powerful in general. He hits the high notes beautifully and belts his heart out in other parts.
The walls receding is genuinely the coolest part of the show itâs awesome
At one point during Why We Build the Wall, Hades looked back at Persephone. To make sure she was singing along. Because he doubted.
Literally the MOMENT the door closes, Persephone turns around and asks âanybody want a drink?â Like, no hesitation frame one personality shift
Act II
Hermes and Persephone are actually the best duo in the show- they walk on arm in arm and Persephone tries to kiss them lol
RACHEL DID THE CRAZIEST OPT UP ON âthereâs a crack in the wallâ THE ENTIRE THEATRE CHEERED SHE WAS SO ELPHABA I HELD SPACE FOR IT THATS WHY SHES MY BESTIE!!!!!!!!!Â
Scottish Orpheus enters from the house right audience and climbs a scaffolding to get back on stage and does a little happy dance when he goes âitâs me!!â obsessed
Hermes just spends all of Act II (and even the second half of Act I) looking so sad- makes sense, since they knows whatâs going to happen but itâs still so sad
Scottish Orpheus scream sings again in If itâs True, both when heâs mourning Eurydice and when heâs rallying the workers Iâm so obsessed with it
Ok so Hades sang low again in How Long- guess heâs a baritone who wasnât comfortable enough with the crazy low notes of Act I but could rock Act IIÂ
I love the lights at the end of How Long where the blue light shines on Hades and the orange light shines on Persephone- it feels like an inversion of their colors (Hades is more warm colors while Persephone is cool colors)
Persephone looks so proud of Scottish Orpheus and the union- new headcanon: Persephone is now Orpheusâ second (third?) mom
Before Epic III, Hermes ruffles Scottish Orpheusâ hair, grabs his arm, and squeezes his hand. They leave to go, but he holds onto them and doesnât let go- Hermes had to pull themself away đ
Hades and Persephone looked so happy once they started dancing it was adorable
Scottish Orpheus and Eurydice both had such raw voices that they blend so well together omggggg
Historians will say Mel!Hermes and Rachel!Persephone were best friends omg Harold theyâre lesbians
Ik I already mentioned Hermes looking sad but ohmy GOD itâs worse in Wait For Me Reprise bc they are center stage watching Orpheus lead everyone away, knowing heâll fail but hoping he wonâtÂ
The way itâs pitch black during Dout Comes In is actually terrifying, it really feels like you got transported into Scottish Orpheusâ mind
Literally how did it get sadder the second time Iâve seen it what đđ Â
I need Rachel to sing We Raise Our Cups to me every day broÂ
In summary: this show is incredible!! Thought it was amazing when i saw it on tour but itâs even better in an environment where itâs meant to be performed. Love Scottish Orpheus and Rachel Tucker owns my entire heart I canât believe sheâs real

[240710] SAN BIRTHDAY UPDATE

[NEW UPLOAD FROM HIMARI]
ATEEZ(ěě´í°ěŚ) @/ATEEZofficial
[#íë§ëŚŹ] Our Sannie oppa, the other half of nyangteez, my partner in many crimes, happiest 25th birthday! ⥠Nights spent in the vocal room with you have grown to be some of my favorites, so have days spent playing a singular card game thinking the other is cheating. The gym...maybe not so much ă
ă
but so long as it's with you. Thank you for being a person I can open my heart to, find comfort in and create warm memories with. Stay healthy so that we can keep standing with one another for a long time 𩷠#ATEEZ #ě ě´í°ěŚ

Eri @/ateenypresent Replying to @/ATEEZofficial stop the way she took a picture while he was trying to sleep, you can just see he's barely awake đ imagine the chaos every time they room together in hotels
nabi @/jigeumfly Replying to @/ateenypresent that's what I was thinking too! they're really just two cats in human bodiesđ¤Ł(also lowkey was she on top of him taking that photo or like...is that why he decided to develop abs-)
Minnie Moe @/bestspotifyplaylistrex Replying to @/ATEEZofficial we underestimate Hima a lot because at the end of the day she works out with him...when Seonghwa said that him and the trainer were monsters, she's got some serious stamina. i'll never forget how Sannie said that it started because he wanted to help her with rehabilitation after ribcage surgeryđĽš
mikah @/himaswife Replying to @/ATEEZofficial Definitely one of the most underrated friendships in ATEEZ, they're always by each other's side no matter what, always making sure the other ate and there's so many videos overall where you can see the amount of love there đ¤Plus they always let out their inner children around one another, causing trouble everywhere, which just goes to show how much their mere presence comforts the other
ěë¤ ę°ë¤ @/yeosangiecookie Replying to @/ATEEZofficial Everyone this is the man who woke up every single night to check Hima was still breathing after she nearly died on the 'Break The Wall' tour, every single night at the same time he set an alarm. He had nightmares about it and never told her, he just needed to fall asleep holding her hand in the hotel rooms. He's like her guardian angel
