I’ve been wracking my brain trying to think of what to say but words really don’t seem like enough to show my appreciation and admiration for you sweet friend!

I remember finding your writing on AO3 and immediately falling in love with it, consuming it piece by piece. And then by chance I came across it here on this glorious hellsite and I was so thrilled.

You are a magician with words. I can feel every emotion you are trying to convey in every story I read. You illicit raw emotion in the most authentic ways— it makes it feel so real. Your talent is so pure and beautiful.

Your writing helped me through some really difficult times this last year. I would read Because of You and Worth the Wait over and over again, just so I could feel something when everything else felt so dark. You checked in on me when it even people in real life did, made me feel less alone. You have no clue how much that meant to me, and still does even now!

Your encouragement and words of support made me feel like I could write something worth reading. Your friendship and selflessness for so many of us here is truly inspiring. I look forward to seeing everything you write and share— for new and old characters, it’s going to be nothing short of amazing.

All this to say you are something special. I and so many others in this community have fallen in love with these characters you’ve created and these beautiful stories you continue to pour your heart and soul into. Your writing continues to feeding the yearning we have for so many characters.

The manga industry, especially JUMP, needs to hurry up and do away with weekly scheduling for mangaka. There needs to better regulations put into place for their health and safety because this is pitiful. Two weeks - monthly updates should’ve already been the standard for the manga industry at this point. These money grabbers will only continue to put the lives of these artists at stake for the sake of capitalism unless some serious changes are implemented.

I’m actually LOVING how Rick Riordan, and the other writers of the show, took his initial concept of a Percabeth rivalry fueled by that of their parents and kind of turned it on its head?

Now, instead of Annabeth being wary of Percy because he’s a son of Poseidon, he’s wary of her because she made a callous impression on him. They get off to a rocky start even before finding out who Percy’s father is, and when they finally do, Annabeth doesn’t care. Instead of them fighting because of who their parents are, they’re fighting over their own opposed worldviews.

Then, instead of them arguing over which of the gods is cooler and who was right in the story of Medusa, they realize that, just like Medusa, Annabeth is a victim of her mother and that, unlike Medusa, she is a far kinder and stronger person, unwilling to repeat the cycle of hurt. They realize that, like his father, Percy often acts without considering potential consequences and that, unlike his father, he is a far kinder and stronger person, willing to step up for someone he wronged and whom he cares about.

Instead of Percy and Annabeth’s rivalry being focused on that of their parents, it’s focused on who they are, themselves. But the path to friendship is still the same: a realization that they have each other’s backs, no matter what, because they’re not their parents after all.

i will never understand how people have the heart to hate Jason even after they found out that his Ambrosia tastes like fucking sawdust. Ambrosia being tasty is like one single happy thing a demigod can have despite their tragic lives, because it reminds them of the home they once had, but lost. And Jason doesn't even have that, he doesn't even have a home to lose in the first place.
