The kitchen scene. Ahhhh the kitchen scene.
The way Tony appraises Ziva like “can I trust her?” He’s like a little boy. The way Ziva realizes how serious this is, and instantly adjusts her demeanor to match him, her focus solely on him and what he needs. The way Tony watches Ziva as she takes in the pictures. The confession about the broken heart and Ziva’s reaction. The way you can see her heart break for him. Ziva’s realization that Tony really is so much more than the comedic front he puts up. How much he holds inside, to share only with her. The way they keep appraising and observing each other for the tiniest reactions the whole scene. The understanding Ziva (and we) get of where Tony’s love of movies come from. The understanding Tony gets of how much Ziva cares for him and wants him to be vulnerable with her and that she won’t use that vulnerability to break his heart. The looks they exchange when the walk back into the bullpen. Like there was a giant shift, a giant step forward in their relationship that day.
“That which is essential is invisible to the eye.”
“Ziva David, did you just quote a movie?!”
“No. I quoted a book…that was made into a movie.”
Yeah, I’ll never be over any of this.
#quite possibly the greatest tiva scene ever#i think it’s one of the only times we actually get to see the ‘post elevator open book baring our souls’ them#it’s lovely and heartbreaking and i’m giving myself so many feels over here someone stop me#also#tony never talks about his mom because of how she broke his heart#but then after ziva breaks his heart he gets mad at people for not talking about her#the man REALLY loves her doesn’t he#tiva#season 10#shell shock part 1

ᡣ𐭩 how you can help palestine . fic recs m.list
@grippingbeskar
⭒ A Welcomed Distraction
meeting an old friend, who also happens to now be a member of the jedi council stirs up old feelings, but will you be able to deny them any longer?
⭒ An Unsurprising Development (pt. 2)
after a whirlwind of events, you finally catch the jedi master alone again.
⭒ Had You Said the Words
You made one mistake. One. During the heat of battle, you lost sight of your focus, lost control, all because of one particular member of the council who sits in front of you now, saying nothing.
@deakyjoe
⭒ Absolution
Obi-Wan really should have let his curiosity go and avoided that flower.
@murdockussy
⭒ More Than A Mission
The Jedi council sends Obi-Wan and his two Padawans - Anakin and yourself - on a mission to capture an underground Bounty Hunter. If Anakin's false business deal fails, then you as the backup plan will be sent in to seduce the target - dressed as an escort, bound to send your Master into a jealous rage - while the council capture the wanted man. Will Anakin succeed? Or will you be left to your own distracting devices? And overall, will Obi-Wan be able to contain his deep temptation for you?
⭒ Hearts Finally Mending
Three years had passed since the fall of the Order, and with each day that went by, your heart did anything but heal. It was as if it was doing the complete opposite, an ever-growing ache expanding in depth, you unable to shake the grief you felt for all that remained lost – your home, your friends, and the man you’d thought you’d have by your side forever.
⭒ Alone
A woman from Obi-Wan’s past - Duchess Satine Kryze - is expected to say at the Jedi temple for two weeks, yourself and Obi-Wan assigned to be her assistants/escorts for the duration of her visit. Will all go smoothly? Or will your secret relationship with Obi-Wan be put to the test?
⭒ Room 24
If you could gather every emotion you felt towards Obi Wan Kenobi, you were almost certain you’d be left with a burning heap of seething hot hatred – almost.
@moonyswritinq
⭒ Losing You
You could never resist saying no to Obi-Wan Kenobi when he needed your help. It led to a capture by the Sith, and a near death. A daring escape, a battle of hearts and good and evil, and a climax of feelings could hopefully reveal the truth within your hearts.
@kxnobi on ao3
⭒ Volveré
Master Kenobi is assigned to your protection. He tries to ignore the way his flesh yearns for you, trying to remind himself of the Jedi Code whenever you look his way. He can only deny himself for so long.
@RosalindBeatrice on ao3
⭒ Broken Drought
A once-in-a-century storm blows up and you take shelter in your family's abode with your friend, Ben Kenobi.
@wickedscribbles
⭒ When the World Stopped Making Sense
Nothing can prepare Ziva Courtee for the devastating change that Order 66 invokes in her clone trooper comrades
⭒ Tipsy on the Taste of You
Eager to be more forthcoming in your relationship with Obi-Wan, you turn to longtime confidante Padmé for help. The answer she provides opens up more doors than you would’ve dared to imagine.
⭒ Under My Wing
When you’re assigned a new Master at the age of twenty, you’re not sure how the pair of you will get along. However, you soon learn that there are many perks to being Master Kenobi’s Padawan.
⭒ You Make My Dreams
It’s not every day a Jedi walks -- or falls -- into your library. This one introduces himself as Obi-Wan Kenobi, and in the span of one book recommendation he’s charmed his way into your every thought. You never would’ve thought the feeling would be mutual, but then again, he’s full of surprises.
@hellotherekenobi
⭒ Temptation's Kiss
The three times Obi-Wan almost kissed you and the one time he did.
@saradika
⭒ You Make Me Feel Like Dancing
On paper, it sounds perfect. You’ll be his date, as long as he’ll be yours. Never having to be alone, no awkward moments with a stranger. It’s just too bad that you are hopelessly, head-over-heels in love with him.
@lovelybucky1
⭒ sneaking into your room
Attachment isn’t the Jedi way. Obi-Wan knows he shouldn’t be sneaking to your quarters in the middle of the night, desperate to hold you. He should be in his own room, sleeping or meditating the desires away.
@mischiefling on ao3
⭒ Bad Idea, Right?
Your friendship with Lord Kenobi, the unofficial heartthrob of Coruscant, isn't a bad idea, right?
@kagvne
⭒ Like Turning On the Light
After Obi-Wan gets you and Leia back from the Fortress Inquisitorius, the feelings you have been stifling finally come to surface on your way to Jabiim.
@ddejavvu
⭒ Betrayal
months into the war and it's not as exhilarating as you'd hoped - not for your battalion, anyway. when the air conditioning in your compound blows, an old friend brings his tech genius of a padawan to fix it for you. while anakin is working, you convince his master to spar for old times' sake, and simple adrenaline gives way to a landslide of long-buried feelings neither of you should have for each other.
@star-whores-a-new-hoe
⭒ Comfort of Strangers
You and all of Queen Amidala's handmaidens are stuck on Tatooine waiting for Qui Gon to get the hyperdrive parts you need. With all the stress and anxiety of escaping Naboo, the good-looking Palawan stuck on the ship with you looks like a good distraction.

Peaches and Cowboy
gibbs x reader
This does take place before Jack Sloane appears in season 15
Peaches. (Y/N) only had to thank one Leroy Jethro Gibbs for that nickname. He insists it’s because she’s so sweet and kind. But, she’s pretty sure it’s because of her perfume. He calls her that only when they’re alone, neither of them want to ruin his reputation.
Her head was down on her desk, with paperwork covering every inch of her desk. Gibbs was growing concerned, because she was looking paler by the hour. Once Tony headed to interrogation, Ziva was checking out a lead, and Tim was getting an update from Abby, he made his way over to her desk. That’s when he smelled her perfume, peach with just a dash of vanilla. “Hey, peaches, you feelin’ okay?” Her head instantly rose from her desk, and she sleepily responded, “Yeah, just a headache the size of Texas. I’ll be alright. Just need to drink more water.” He was still concerned, but ultimately said, “Okay, let me know if you need anything.” “Will do, hun.”
The day went by and by the end of it, she was very excited to go home, make some soup, and crawl into a warm bed. Gibbs had the same idea, but because he was still concerned, he offered to drive her home. She was hesitant at first, saying she didn’t want to be a bother. But he insisted. And she damn near fell asleep during the ride home. She was so out of it, she didn’t even notice that it wasn’t her house. It was Gibbs’ house. Fair enough, they only live a street away from each other. She only noticed something was different when the front table was in a different spot than it was in her house. He led her to the couch, and told her to make herself comfortable. As she did, he disappeared into the kitchen. He reappeared a few moments later with two bowls of soup, water for her, and a beer for him. She felt a little bad that her friend was taking care of her, but ultimately felt so grateful that he cared enough about her to do so.
They ate in comfortable silence, and after finishing her soup, she started feeling incredibly exhausted. To no shock, he noticed that she was starting to fade. He took the dishes back into the kitchen, and when he returned to the living room, found her half asleep, curled up on the sofa. He gently pushed her hair away from her face, and gently laid a blanket on top of her. He whispered, “Goodnight, peaches.” She responded with a half-hearted mumble that sounded similar to, “Goodnight Jethro.” And with that, she fell into a very blissful sleep, where she dreamt of a very familiar silver-haired, steely-blue eyed man.
Cowboy. Gibbs only had (Y/N) to thank for that nickname. She calls him that only when they’re alone, neither of them want to ruin his reputation. It was a slow day, the team didn’t have a case, so they took the day to catch up on paperwork. Sometime in the afternoon, they all took a break (minus one silver-haired boss), and took turns guessing what their favorite movie genres were. Lastly, it was (Y/N)’s turn. She correctly guessed that Ziva hasn’t watched a lot of movies, Tim’s favorite is action-fantasy, and that Tony’s was classic films. But Gibbs, she had a hard time figuring his out. But ultimately, she correctly guessed he likes westerns. Specifically, black and white westerns. “Yeah I see it, cowboy. It fits.” And with that, that’s how he became “cowboy”. Just with an afternoon distraction from the mind-numbing paperwork they had all been busy with all day. The rest of the day went by in a blur. They all said their goodbyes and went their separate ways for the night. Sometime in the evening, (Y/N) found herself in Gibbs’ basement, drinking bourbon out of an old glass, talking with not her boss, but her friend.
“Why’d ya guess I like westerns?” “Because, you have this air of authority about you, your house is bare besides furniture, you have an old TV, and you build boats in your basement. Plus, at night, you smell like bourbon.” “Wow.” “Yeah… it’s one of my favorite things about you.” “What is?” “Everything. It’s just so you.” He leaned over and wrapped her in a hug. She swiftly accepted his hug, and held him tight. They spent the rest of the night laughing and talking about anything and everything. Not a lot of people know, but Gibbs can be very talkative with the right person. He also smiles his beautiful, soft smile quite a lot. But only when he’s with her. Only when he’s with his “peaches”. And when she’s with her “cowboy”, the sun will never be able to outshine her smile.

A Night of Brownies and Wine- Agent Gibbs Fanfic (Gibbs X Reader)
Summary: When your brain overthinks, Gibbs tells you his feelings. Warnings: Angst, fluff, really light mention of sexual activity, overthinking
Want to read more, visit my Masterlist!
"Gibbs! Gibbs! Gibbs!" Abby screamed out as she hurriedly made her way towards his desk.
"What, Abs?" He looked up over his glasses that was perched on his nose.
Her chunky heeled shoes came to a halt by his desk. "Have you seen Y/N?"
He took off his glasses. "No, why?"
"She was supposed to meet me and McGee tonight for our weekly gaming night, but she never showed up and we can't trace her phone so I thought I'd find you because you might know where she was." Abby said all in one breath.
"I haven't seen her all day. I'll let you know if I find her." He gave a small smile to Abby as he collected his items, giving her a small kiss on the cheek and headed towards the elevators.
He made his way to his truck and headed home. He knew where you were, he could easily read you and could always find your location depending on your mood. And today he knew exactly where he could find you.
He opened the front door and headed for the kitchen; a chocolate mess was the only thing that was left to show you were there. He headed for the basement door, where the quiet sound of pop music made its way to his ears.
Heading down the steps he found you in one of his oversized NCIS shirts, no pants wearing your fluffy slippers as you swayed to a K-pop ballad, a brownie in one hand and a bottle of rose in the other. Gibbs leaned against the railing as he watched you, a smirk spreading across his lips while he watched your hips sway back and forth.
"You know you have your own place to do this in." He called out, watching you jump slightly before turning around to face him.
"Yeah, but my house doesn't have a boat in it. Plus, I know you love my brownies amongst other things." You winked as Gibbs walked over to you, giving you a kiss on the forehead.
"What's wrong?" Gibbs took off his long coat and draped it over your shoulders, his warmth enveloping you.
You shook your head, setting down your brownie and bottle of wine on a random small table around Gibbs' boat. "Nothing is wrong. It's just my brain being silly."
Gibbs' hands grabbed your hips and backed you up, your butt lightly bumping into the boat behind you. One hand cupped the side of your face, his fingers tangling into your hair, the other hand still on your hip. "Y/N, your brain is not silly. Tell me."
You looked away and blew out a breath. "Just this undercover op has my brain overthinking."
"About what?"
"About us!" You could feel the tears prickling your eyes, threatening to overflow, but you wouldn't let them.
"What about us?"
"That all we are is just work." Your voice was barely a whisper, because you didn't have the heart to admit what you had with Gibbs louder.
You knew work was always going to be the number one priority for him, the constant in his life. You were just something new that was stumbled upon, not something to be around long term. The whole agency knew you two were an item, so any undercover ops or improv on the job always had you two as a couple, but those moments were sweeter, and more love filled than the times you were alone together. It felt like all you were ever going to be was simply just a cover, no matter how hard you tried not to admit it. You knew the truth.
Gibbs didn't love you. Not like you loved him. He may love you in the same way he loved Abby or Ziva except with extra perks, but that was it. He never asked to see you, never asked you out on dates, never had been over to your place, drove in your car, asked about your family, hell, he never even asked about you. And you finally admitted it to yourself.
So, you decided to drown your sorrows in many bottles of wine and brownies.
And there he was, Gibbs, this amazing man who never really talked but always seemed to know what to do, and he was standing in front of you with his hands gently cradling your body, his eyes fill with confusion and worry as he looked at you.
Gibbs opened his mouth then closed it and thought for a second before asking, "What does right now count as?"
"I don't mean right now," you sighed the continued, "I mean the rest of the time. It's always work, never just us."
"I-I don't know what to say." Gibbs stuttered as he watched the woman he loves start to crumble in front of him. Her eyes were watery, but she wasn't letting the tears fall down, and he wasn't sure he wanted to see her cry. He'd never seen her cry in all the years he's known her. Not when she broke any of her bones, not when she was slammed into a concrete wall and hit her head, not when she lost her grandma. She had held herself together, at least in front of him.
"You never say anything!" Your voice raised, and you turned your back on him, tears slowly rolling down your face.
Gibbs hands slid back down when she turned away from him. What could he do? She was upset and he understood why. He didn't do enough. Wasn't what she needed.
He had always been about work since Kelly and Shannon passed away and nothing had changed over the years with his ex-wives or his past relationships. He didn't think anything of it. Nothing he did was any different than what he has done and now that she said something out loud, he realized that all those past relationships had never worked out because of what he was doing. He was doing absolutely nothing.
His thoughts were interrupted when a sob escaped from the woman in front of him.
"Y/N..." His voice cracked; he couldn't help feeling his heart shatter when that sob reached his ears. He brought his body closer to yours, his arms circling your body. "I- I know I'm not good enough for you. I don't put much effort into anything but work, but I do love you. I'm not good with words." He stopped for a second and rested his forehead against the back of your head. "I don't want to see you cry. I understand if you don't stay but I don't want to lose you."
The pain in his voice was front and center and you couldn't hear anything else but that. You turned around in his arms and sighed before nuzzling your head into his chest.
"Words aren't enough, Jethro."
"I know. I can't promise I'll be a changed man right off, but I'll try my hardest to be better."
"All I ask for is to be more present in this relationship. To have it not be all about work." Your voice muffled as you spoke into his chest.
"Well, we both have tomorrow night off. Why don't we go to that little Italian place that you were telling Tony about?"
"How did you know that?"
"I may not say much but I listen, especially when it comes to you."
You giggled; face still pressed into his chest. "Really?"
"Really." He kissed the top of your head and squished you tighter to him. "I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too." You looked up at him with a smile. "So, I made some brownies, do you want some?"
"You sure as hell know I want some." He smirked before picking you up, a giggling scream coming out of your throat, as he headed up stairs to the bedroom.

Ziva x teen!reader - just soldiers
So teen reader has grown up in a rough family. It was basically run like a military; get up at the crack of dawn, do all these military base training even when they were like a child. Have a strict schedule to follow every day that they become a robot basically and any sense of being a normal teen thrown out the window. Teen reader is on a field trip with their class to NCIS for their history class talking about laws and every thing. They are in the bullpen where Ziva and the team is. Ziva takes notice to the teen reader and how they seem distant from all the other kids. Maybe something happens and it triggers teen reader to go into that military mindset (like a loud noise or arguing or whatever you want). Ziva knows a thing or two about the military mindset because of her dad and helps teen reader calm down and come back to reality. - @offspringoflordwinter 💜
TW: mentions of abusive and controlling parent
Standing in the middle of the floor with the rest of your class, you had your hands clasped behind your back as you just observed everybody else.
You had no real interest in this trip, you had no interest in becoming an NCIS agent, but your father said he would be busy today, and decided this trip would be a good way to keep you occupied.
“Are you interested in forensics?” A woman asked.
You glanced up at her but said nothing.
“I’m agent Ziva David, what’s your name?”
You turned away, going back to what you were doing.
One of the other students looked over, snickering a little bit.
“They won’t tell you anything, (Y/N)s weird. Never talks. A freak.”
Ziva looked back at you, then she walked back over to her boss who was also stood there watching you.
“Anything?”
“No, another student mentioned their name is (Y/N), but that’s it.”
Gibbs slowly nodded his head.
“I spoke to the teacher, she said she didn’t know much about (Y/N), calm student, occasionally had issues with being suspended for fighting.”
“Gibbs I recognise that look.”
“I know you do…”
You grew disinterested in standing there, and you made your way back into hallway, standing by the wall.
You ran over your daily routine in your head, checking to make sure you knew what you had to do.
Everybody made their way back up to the bullpen, and you stood to the back of your class.
Pulling up the sleeve to your shirt, you have a look at the time, and walked over to your teacher.
“Ma’am, I need to have my lunch now.”
“Yes, of course. Do you mind eating up here?”
“No ma’am.”
She nodded, and you sat down against one of the desks, opening up your lunch box so you could eat.
You have ten minutes to eat your lunch, then you had to do your afternoon work out, then finish your homework just after.
Usually you would then have afternoon classes, but since you were here that went out the window meaning that you had a few free hours.
After finishing your lunch, you stood up, walking back over to your teacher.
“Ma’am, I need to do my training.”
“Oh, is there any way you can skip it for today? I know you use the gym but we don’t have that here.”
“No ma’am. I have to follow my schedule.”
She sighed heavily, gesturing for you to follow her and you did.
She spoke to Gibbs, who was looking at you the whole time.
“We have an empty interrogation room you can use, we can’t give you entrance to the gym.”
“That’s fine sir, I can work around that.”
He nodded.
“Ziva will take you.”
“Thank you.”
You followed behind Ziva, and you rolled your sleeves up, getting ready to start your work out.
“How many push ups can you do?”
“A good solider must be able to do at least 50 push in a row. If you cannot then you are weak. Father does not tolerate weakness.”
Ziva nodded her head, leaning back against the wall.
“What does your father consider weakness?”
“Being sick is weak, crying is weak, being in pain is weak. A strong person must be able to go beyond their limits and not complain.”
Ziva listened to you carefully.
“Are you a solider?”
“Yes ma’am.”
You finished your push ups, and started doing some sit ups.
“How long have you been a soldier for?”
“My whole life.”
She nodded again.
There was no sign of emotion in your voice, nothing on your face.
You were the perfect soldier, just like she was.
Designed to follow your orders without complaint, to not be able to think for yourself, no thought about being a teenager, partying, drinking, all the normal things teenagers do.
You stood up, and rolled your shoulders slightly, turning around to face Ziva with your hands clasped behind your back.
“Do you have any friends?”
“Soldiers have no need for friends, they are useless and only weigh down the missions.”
“What is your mission?”
“I have no assignment right now.”
“But you have had one?”
“No. I do not receive my first mission until my 18th year.”
You studied Ziva quietly for a moment, looking her up and down.
“You are like me.”
“Yes.”
You looked at your watch, rolling your sleeves back down, doing them back up and you straightened your shirt.
“Why did you abandon your mission?”
“Because there is more to life than being a soldier for somebody else.”
“This place has made you weak.”
“Is that what you think?”
You nodded your head, leaving through the open door.
You walked back to your class with Ziva walking alongside you.
She didn’t say anything else, and neither did you you just rejoined your class, standing to the side of them all.
You were just watching when a loud bang from nearby made you spin around, a few of your fellow students began laughing loudly.
But you had jumped into fight mode, so when one of them rushed to run past you, you grabbed his arm, throwing him to the ground as you pinned him.
“(Y/N) let him go!” Your teacher yelled.
You said nothing, pinning your fellow student further into the ground.
You felt a hand on your shoulder and you spun around, standing up you grabbed the man by the arm, spinning around with so much force your threw him to the ground as well.
“(Y/N), look at me that’s an order.”
You snapped your head to Ziva.
You seemed to recognise her as some sort of authority, and you stood up straight, clasping your hands behind your back.
But you were still on guard.
“You cannot attack your fellow students.”
“He is a threat.”
“He was just playing a joke on you.” Gibbs said.
There was another loud noise, and you dissociated from them all, spinning around you charged at the person responsible for it.
He was pulled away from you, and you stood there, fists in the air ready to attack anybody that came after you.
Ziva walked over, hands raised in the air.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay.”
You took a swing for her and she dodged it, moving to the side and you followed her.
Ziva was raised like you, she knew how to predict an attack and how to avoid it.
She grabbed your wrist, and you swung yourself back, sweeping your leg under hers to get yourself free and you crouched down, grabbing her shirt.
You raised tour fist and tried to punch her, but she caught it, eyes locked with hers.
“There is no threat to you here…” she whispered.
“Everybody is a threat.”
“No. No they’re not. You’re safe, either federal agents and teenagers whom I’m sure cannot even begin to match your level.”
She offered the smallest of smiles.
“There is no threat.”
She slowly sat up, placing a hand on your shoulder.
“You need to breathe. Focus. Breath.”
You went to pull you hand away.
“Don’t. I am older than you and I have had far more training.” She warned.
You nodded.
You were a soldier yes, but your father told you not to confront somebody who you knew you wouldn’t have a chance to attack.
Not yet anyway.
So you sat down, crossing your legs as you took a small breath.
“Focus on me, nobody else.”
Ziva let go of you, but she was ready to jump into action in case you went to attack somebody else.
You slowly breathed in and out, eyes locked with hers.
“Ignore everybody else, they’re not important.”
You nodded your head.
Ziva carried on leading you through the breathing you had to do in order to calm yourself down.
“Come with me.”
Ziva stood up, and you followed after her, letting her take you to a conference room where you were able to freely pace back and forth.
Ziva stood by the door so you couldn’t run away.
She realised that you were a danger, your solider mindset was going to put somebody in danger, you were going to seriously hurt somebody or worse.
You didn’t necessarily know that you were going to hurt somebody, but it was still a factor.
You wouldn’t care if you did either, you wouldn’t think twice about it if it meant protecting yourself.
At this rate Ziva was sure you were going to land yourself in prison before you even reached being an adult.
“I can help you.”
You paused pacing, turning your attention to her.
“I do not need help.”
“You do, because you shouldn’t have to live like this. You are not a soldier, you are a child.”
“I am a soldier, that is what I will always be.”
Ziva shook her head.
“No, you can be so much more.”
“No.”
She sighed.
“Unfortunately we cannot let you return home.”
“Okay.”
You sat down in a chair, placing your hands on the table.
You showed no objection, and that’s where your father had messed up.
You didn’t care if he was taken away from you, you had no attachment to him, or anybody else for that matter.
You would carry on.
Just like this.
Until it killed you.
Just like she used to.
And she wasn’t about to let that happen to you

The team finds that you are fiercely protective and fiercely in love with your kids. But, this stands out more to Gibbs because he’s been trying to figure out for
Sidenotes: I used a scene from “The Rookie”, not to the exact measures, but similar.
You look down at the twins you held, your eyes instantly teary as you looked at the two bundles that saved you. They were perfect with their ten fingers, their ten toes, their tiny noses, their tiny lips and their healthy selves.
Adeline Iridessa Y/L/N, you sweet baby girl who was younger by a few minutes. Then her older brother by only minutes, Alexander Archer Y/L/N.
"Mommy will always protect you." You whisper softly.
"Ms. Y/L/N, I'm afraid to tell you that Adeline is colorblind. Alexander is rapidly losing hearing and we fear he may be deaf." Dr. Bryant explains.
You were silent for a moment, trying to soak in this information. You look at the twins for a moment before turning back to him.
"Is there anything we can do to try and preserve and maybe even salvage what hearing Alex has?" You ask.
"We could try some tubes, however I fear that his case is too severe. Here are some pamphlets. This will help Alexander if he needs to learn sign language. It's always good starting them off at a young age anyway. They tend to retain the language better and he will be better. You may want to also have Adeline learn the language for her brother as well." He explains.
You nod, looking at the twins who were wide awake, looking around curiously. Your heart aches knowing that Adeline will never get to see such beautiful colors because she has achromatopsia color blindness and then Alexander will eventually lose his hearing altogether.
4 YEARS LATER
You were sitting at your bullpen, trying to figure out how to make their 5th birthday party the best birthday ever for them. You know you probably spoiled them too much, but they were your babies and you'd be damned if you ever let something happen to them.
The thought of sending them to school was agonizing. Knowing that they were getting older was scary. These were your babies and the thought of anything happening to them sent you into a protective mode instantly.
"Alright, what do we have?" Gibbs asks, coming back from getting coffee.
Tony, Ziva and Tim immediately are up and fighting to tell their finds. However, Gibbs was focused on you who seem distracted on something.
Gibbs was able to read everyone. However, after four years of working for him, he still was trying to figure you out. Almost everything about your file was confidential. He was so brutal on you when you first came here, however he has gotten better over time.
The elevator doors open and everyone turns back. You stand slowly as you see your twins exit the elevator hand in hand with your neighbor following behind them.
"Mommy!" Adeline squeals, running to you and hugging you.
You squat down, hugging her and Alexander. You gently push them back and look to Alexander, signing, "What's wrong baby boy?"
He looked pale and like he wasn't feeling the greatest. Which was strange because before you left this morning, you made sure to make sure both were tucked in and weren't running fevers.
He sighs, signing, "Just worried and tired." You frown, gently guiding them both behind your desk, lifting them both into your chair before your neighbor walks to you.
"Y/N/N, Lexi answered the door this morning and their was a man there who was claiming to be the twins' father. The twins followed your "game" as Adeline put it if a stranger shows up. Lexi was taken by that man. And I came over here as fast I could." She explains.
You let a slow breath out as your heart rate picks up. Lexi was a good girl. She was your older sisters daughter. Lexi made you realize how much you wanted kids of your own. Lexi was like a daughter to you. You look at the twins, knowing that Lexi would do anything for them—just like you—which is probably how she ended up in this situation to begin with.
"Thank you, Bebe. You did the right thing." You say.
"Do you want me to take the twins so that you can work and get Lexi back?" She asks.
"No, no, it's alright. I think I'd feel better knowing they are with me. Thank you, Bebe. I'd say yes if I felt safe about it, but their father is...a very unpredictable man. I don't want to put you or the twins in danger." You explain.
It made you feel guilty, like you didn't trust Bebe, but thankfully she understood where you were coming from. She gave you a big hug, promising that everything would be okay and that Lexi was a tough girl. You knew Lexi was tough. You also knew Lexi would have left clues for you. She leaves and you turn to your team who was watching.
"You have kids?" Tony asks surprised.
"Yes." You say a bit more defensively than you expected, moving in front of the twins.
"Hey, easy there mama bear. I'm just surprised. You have no pictures and you've never mentioned them." He says, putting his hands up in surrender.
You clench your jaw, choosing to keep silent. These were your babies. You know your team wouldn't do anything to them. You knew that they'd protect them just as fiercely as you. However, your protective side was running wild knowing their father was after them and knowing he had Lexi.
Gibbs was staring at you, a small smirk on his lips. He could finally read you and put every piece to the puzzle together about you. It was like you were an open book right now.
I'm so in love with her, he thinks to himself.
"That's a pretty dress you have on sweetie. Is pink your favorite color?" Ziva asks and your heart clenches.
"Adeline can't see colors. She has achromatopsia color blindness. Alexander is deaf...he lost all of his hearing by the time he was one. He knows sign language though. So does Adeline. He can also read lips very well. Both of them can. Even though Adeline can talk, sign language and reading lips is a second nature to her." You explain.
You didn't realize you were nervously rambling, but the team did and smiled softly. They understood the normal moms fierce love for their child, however yours was far fiercer and far more protective. And it wasn't because you were an NCIS agent. It was because both of your babies were special.
"Mommy says pink is my color. And I trust mommy." Adeline says, smiling at Ziva who grins.
"Well, your mommy is very much right. Pink is definitely your color." She says.
"Alex, Addy...this is mommy's friends. That's Ziva, this is Tim and that's Tony. That's mommy's boss, Gibbs." You say, pointing to each of them.
Adeline was in a full conversation with Tony, Tim and Ziva. Alexander was looking at Gibbs who crouches down to his height and signs, "Are you okay?"
Alexander smiles and you look down, a light blush on your cheeks. You always had what Abby liked to call a "school-girl crush" on Gibbs. The elevator doors open and you look over to see Abby skipping towards you.
"Oh my goodness! They are so cute!" She exclaims.
"Mommy, who is that?" Adeline asks while looking at you.
"Mommy?" Abby asks, looking at you with wide eyes.
"Y/N is a mom, Abby. She's just been trying to keep them safe from their father." Gibbs explains before going back to signing with Alexander.
"What? You didn't trust us?" Abby asks.
"Abs, that isn't the case...their father is a terrible man. I thought he was still in prison. But, he isn't and he has my goddaughter who babysits for me...and because he is out, he was trying to get the twins. I just was scared that mostly you would get attached and what if I had to up and leave one day with the twins? I knew staying in one place meant he'd find me. I just..." You trail off and sit down as you bury your head in your hands.
"You have made a family. It explains why you were so distant. How did you and the father meet?" Tim asks.
"I was kidnapped by him when I was undercover. I'm sure you can put the pieces together." You mumble.
"Y/N/N." Abby whispers with watery eyes.
"It's fine. I don't dwell on the past. Not to mention, I've got these two who saved me." You murmur, lifting your head to look at your twins.
The team shared pitiful smiles, never realizing what you have gone through. You let a shaky breath out, moving your hands to your knees.
"They know sign language?" Abby asks while looking at Alexander.
"Alexander is deaf. He can read lips and sign, and Adeline can too. I made her learn too for him. Adeline has achromatopsia color blindness." You explain.
"Okay. Y/N, would you be okay with Abby taking them so that we can get your goddaughter back? And so I can personally speak with the bastard?" Gibbs asks.
"Y-Yeah, of course. Abby...I...I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I...I probably—." You start until she covers your mouth.
"Don't apologize. I understand and I'm not mad. However, I'm making them call me Aunt Abby." She says and you laugh.
"Alright. I mean I've talked about all of you guys to them and that's kind of how I've labeled you. Personally, I think you should be their godmother but if you want to be Aunt Abby, well I guess I'll have to find a different godmother." You say casually as you shrug with a smile and she gasps before squealing and hugging you.
"I want to be the godmother!" She exclaims.
You chuckle and stand before you tap your foot three times pretty hard on the ground. Alexander turns to you, feeling the vibrations on the ground.
"Come here." You sign and he walks over to you.
You kneel and gently grasp Adeline's elbow and she looks at you before moving to stand by Alexander.
"I want you guys to meet someone else. This is your godmother and one of mommy's other friends." You say and sign.
"Okay mommy, who is it?" Adeline asks.
You point to Abby and they both turn. Abby kneels and starts to sign to them which you couldn't help, but smile at Alexander's excitement. He really struggled because it wasn't like everyone knew sign language.
You turn and see a hand outstretched in front of you. It was Gibbs. You take it and he helps you up. You turn to look at the twins who seemed to be in awe. You focus on Abby's hands and notice she is telling them about her lab. You laugh quietly. Both of your twins were in love with anything to do with science so you knew they'd be just fine with Abby.
Abby looks at you and grins before she takes their hands and goes to lead them to the elevator. You find yourself having an internal battle, wanting to go with them, but you managed to keep yourself rooted to where you stood. You feel a hand on your hip and turn to see Gibbs.
"They are with Abby. They are safe." He mumbles.
You nod, knowing he was right and he pats your hip twice as Tony excitedly announces since it's your case, your lead.
"We should start at my house. Lexi is a smart girl and she would've left clues. I know her. And knowing that man, he probably searched the house for the twins. But, Lexi told them to play that game when a stranger comes over. It's basically a game to them, but it's something I've done in case someone tries to get to the twins. They have a hiding spot. Lexi and I are the only ones aware of that spot." You explain.
"It's good you had that in place." Ziva says as you all head to the elevator.
"I know I probably seem like an overbearing mom and that I'm really overprotective, it's just...I worry. And Alexander can't hear what's going on and I know Adeline will talk to anyone and everyone because she doesn't understand the dangers of talking to strangers. She thinks I'm mean for saying we can't talk to people we don't know." You explain.
"Y/N, we aren't judging you. Your an amazing mother. You have no need to worry." Gibbs says softly.
You look at him for a moment and nod. You go with Gibbs to the car as the other three go to the van. You felt extremely stressed and nervous so when traffic hit, it was even more stressful.
"They arrived at the house. I'd try to get us out but we are blocked in." Gibbs says.
You sigh, running a shaky hand through your hair. He studies you for a moment before putting a hand on your thigh. You look at him and he smiles slightly.
"We will get her back." He says.
It was silent, his hand on your thigh and your brain was now running about your "school-girl crush" on him.
"Gibbs, I need to tell you something." You admit.
"I know." He says softly, grinning.
"You know?" You ask confused.
"I know." He says, the both of you looking at each other.
"Then what was I going to say?" You ask.
"That you like me." He says and your cheeks flush.
"Was it really that obvious?" You ask quietly and he chuckles.
"Trust me, I only know because I was looking for the same signs." He says, looking ahead.
"Wait, you like me too?" You ask.
"Mhm. After we wrap up this case and the other one we are working on, I'd like to have you over for dinner." He says.
"I'd like that a lot." You say softly, your cheeks flushing red.
"Alright, we got prints but that's all." Tony says once you arrive.
You walk into the house and look at the end table and grab the notepad.
"License plate." You say and Tony grabs it, looking at it confused.
"She etched it in?" He asks.
"You do what you have to do. Plus he would've saw it and I'm sure we would have found her already, just not the way we wanted." You say, doing your own investigation.
"Name." Gibbs says, grabbing a candy wrapped off the ground.
"She probably didn't think Bebe would've witnessed it all." You murmur as you knew who it was.
"What's this?" Tim asks.
You walk into the living room again and see the TV was glitching and you laugh. Soon Lexi's face was on the TV.
"Oh thank god. I knew you'd be there." She says.
"We are coming for you Lex." You say.
"The twins, are they alright?" She asks.
"Yes, they are. Are you okay?" You ask.
"A little roughed up, but you should see him." She says with a grin and you smile slightly.
"Just be careful. If he loses his temper, it will be bad. Don't antagonize. Just comply with whatever he says. I'm hurrying. Do you know where your at?" You ask.
"I kind of stole his phone and I'm using it to somehow hack into your router so that I can display this. I'm in the back of a truck. It's a semi-truck. It's been moving ever since he left. I don't know where he is taking me." She says.
"Did he say anything to you?" You ask.
"He's rambling. It's like he's having some psychosis episode." She says.
"He might've mentioned where he's bringing you though, Lexi. Think." Gibbs says.
"He said something about a desert and a cabin. He also said he was going to tattoo my date of death on me. That's what that tattoo on your thigh is, isn't it?" She asks.
"Yeah. He's taking you back to where everything happened with me. Okay. Listen to me. If I don't get there before he does the tattoo and the barrel, don't panic. Slow breaths. It will give us more time to find you." You say seriously.
"Barrel? What the hell did he do to you? And is he actually the twins' father? Were you guys dating or something?" She asks.
"He's a sociopath, Lexi. I was really hoping he'd do some ransom thing but clearly he is still just as delusional as he use to be." You say.
"Oh shit. I've got to go." She says and the video cuts out.
"I think we need to review your case." Gibbs says.
"He kidnapped me. He proceeded to SA me. Lexi is safe there. He happens to like (your hair color). She's (her hair color). However he doesn't like (her hair color). That was who we were finding in the barrels. Well, then he tattooed the day he thought I was going to die, but little did he know I had a whole team ready to bring me home. So, I wasn't in the barrel long. A few hours, but that's it." You explain.
Gibbs and you run in from the front, Tony and Ziva going in through the back with Tim following not long behind him.
"Zayn, where is she?" You ask, your gun on him.
"I want my kids. Give me my kids." He snaps.
"They aren't your kids. You'll never be a father to them. They are my kids and I'd be damned if you ever try to get near them again because if you try, I'll shoot you." You say lowly, further pressing the gun against his temple to get the point across.
"And they say I'm crazy." He laughs.
"She isn't crazy. She's a mother and a mothers love for their children is such a crazy thing because a mother would do anything for their child. She's fiercely in love with those kids and she will fiercely protect them, no matter what." Gibbs says, hooking his arm around your waist and pulling you back.
Tony arrests him and you step out of Gibbs' hold and head outside. You knew he wouldn't have put her close to the cabin. He would have gone a bit further out. But, it would be close enough to his property so he could see it. You get to the edge of the hill and look over it before something sparkles in the sun. You start hurrying down the hill as Gibbs yells for you to wait.
You kneel and grab it. It was her ring. You shove it in your pocket before digging around, pushing the sand away when you see the top of the barrel. You start to lift the lid and toss it to the side.
"Y-Y/N?" She whispers.
"Oh baby. It's okay. I'm here. I promised I would be here." You murmur as your team joins you.
Tony helps get her out of the barrel and you sit next to her. She leans her head against your chest before breaking into tears. You shush her softly, petting her hair.
"He told me what he did to you. He told me everything. Why did you lie to us? You went through all of that alone and had no help. And we were so hard on you because we thought you should've worked it out. We didn't know he did those things." She sobs.
"Lexi, shhh...I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be treated any different. Your okay and I'm okay. I didn't take anything you guys said to heart because I knew you guys didn't know." You explain softly.
"What do you think of my tattoo?" She says, trying to smile and you look at her leg.
"I think you've got one hell of a story to tell. Don't look at it and think of this. Think of it as surviving. Because you did survive something horrific." You said.
"I don't even feel scared. I never felt scared once because I knew you'd find me. I did what you said to. Slow breaths. Because I knew you'd find me. I don't even care about that tattoo. This should bother me more than it is, but it isn't." She says.
"You could be in shock." Tim says.
"No. Not in shock. Right, look at my pupils." She says.
"She's right. She isn't in shock. She use to be a nurse." You explain.
"Your a strong girl. And you know your aunt well. You knew she'd find you. You are very brave after today." Gibbs says.
"Can you walk?" You ask.
"I'm not going to lie, I think I sprained my ankle." She says.
"How did you do that?" You ask confused.
"I full on round house kicked him, but then I screwed up my footing. I sooooo could've got away if I didn't screw that up. It so reminded me of this movie. I felt like a total badass too. Then I ruined it." She says and you couldn't help, but laugh.
"Well come on. I'll carry you up." You say.
"What? You can't do that." She says.
"Piggy back ride? I think I can." You say.
After getting situated, you start up the hill with your team. You had Tony and Gibbs on either side of you, in case you lose your footing. Lexi was babbling on with Tim about some game.
You move off of Gibbs, laying your head on his bare chest as you move the sheets up to cover your bare body.
There was a comfortable silence between the two of you. It has been a little of six months since it had became official between you both. He stayed over at your house almost every day. You had been over to his house a few times, but you didn't like being away from the twins for long.
He noticed that and quickly made sure to make it your house that you guys went to most of the time. He found himself thinking about how you use to be so eager to get home and frustrated when you couldn't leave yet because of a case and yet, now he knew why you were so eager to get home. You had two wonderful kids that you adored fiercely and he found himself loving them just as you do.
"Okay, I've realized something." He murmurs.
"And what is that?" You ask softly, tracing random patterns on his chest.
"I'm so in love with you and I think it's time you become Mrs. Gibbs number five. Okay, you may end up Mrs. Gibbs number five, however I want you to be the last Mrs. Gibbs." He says.
"Wait...are you...purposing?" You ask, sitting up on your elbow to look at him.
"Not yet...I want to purpose the way you deserve it. But, what do you think?" He asks.
"I...I've honestly been wondering when your going to ask the damn question." You admit as you laugh softly and he joins you.
"Soon." He promises.
"I know you ain't crazy about the whole idea of getting married in front of people unless it's a judge, but if this is gonna be the only time I get married, I want the whole experience." You say and he chuckles.
"Then we better give you the experience because this is the only time you'll be getting married." He says and you laugh.
"Mrs. Y/N Gibbs...I like the sound of that." You murmur.
"Hm...me too. What about Adeline Gibbs and Alexander Gibbs?" He suggests and you cover your mouth as your eyes water.
"Y-You'd really want that?" You ask softly.
"Of course. I love them like they are my own. They are my kids." He says, his own eyes watering and you grin.
"I'd love that. And what about Luna Shannon Gibbs and Leroy Jethro-Arlo Gibbs?" You ask and he shoots up, looking down at you confused.
"Why are you trying to change the twins' names?" He asks.
"Well...actually. I'm not." You say softly.
It was quiet as he looked down at you with a confused look. You waited, smiling softly as you knew he was about to figure it out.
"Your pregnant...with twins?" He asks.
"Mhm." You hum.
"Wow...this is...amazing. For Luna...can we do Luna-Kate Shannon Gibbs?" He asks.
"Of course. I love that. Kate would be honored." You murmur.
"I miss her still. It's been almost what three or four years and I still miss her." He admits.
"I miss her too, Jethro. She was a good women, but she died doing what she loved most. She'll forever be remembered." You murmur, sitting up with the blankets wrapped tightly around your front.
He smiles, nodding in agreement.
"Mommy! Mommy! It's time to get up! It's our first day of school!" Adeline exclaims.
"Can we just keep them home forever?" You ask and he chuckles as he gets up to get dressed.
"No, we can't. Come on. You go shower real quick and I'll start breakfast. Then we will switch so that you finish it and I shower. Hopefully, we can all eat together and then we will take them to school and we will go work." He says.
You nod, sighing as you stand. You left the blankets on the bed and you look over at him to see his eyes on the tattoo from the unsub. You frown, covering it with your hand as you hurry to the bathroom and close the door. You heard him sigh and curse, but you needed a moment.
You were kind of sad that it was the twins' first day. You made sure to get plenty of pictures and now it was silent between Jethro and you on your guys' way to work.
"Baby?" He says.
"Hm?" You hum.
You were a little surprised he called you that. He typically only does when he's deep in thought or scared shitless. So, you clue it that he was deep in thought.
"I didn't mean to make you upset this morning." He admits.
"I wasn't upset." You say.
"You covered it and ran off to the bathroom like a dog with its tail between its legs." He deadpans.
"I wasn't upset though. I just...I wouldn't even say self-conscious. However, I know when you look at it, your putting every piece of what happened to me, together. You know what that date means. Anyone else will look at it and assume it's for someone or it's some joke. But, it's the day I was supposed to die. Plus, it kind of springs up memories on me. I need to get it removed, but I don't for the time for it and I don't want to be asked about it either." You admit.
"Baby, when I look at that...it just makes me realize what you've been through and how strong you are. You are a fighter and I love how strong and how brave and how fierce you are." He say and you smile slightly.
"I love you." You murmur.
"I love you too, hon." He says, grabbing your hand.

Love's Second Chance 18+
Request: Ok girl.. I made the mistake and started top Gun to make the best out of my evening 😭 now I hope you're up for another Rooster idea hehe. You and him were inseparable since childhood but then lost contact after his issues with Mav (you're his adopted daughter). Then you visit Mav someday at the base, not knowing all pilots are there. So it happens you meet Bradley again, both being stunned about the other as some time had passed. First Jake takes his chance flirting with you but you can only focus on Bradley. He's more than happy to see you and invites you to the Bar with everyone where you hit it off and afterwards spend the night together. The next morning you're all cuddled up and he admits that he loved you since playground times and you get a happy ending ? Jeeez I'm sorry it's so long but my brain can't stop making ideas 😅
Pairings: Bradley Bradshaw x Adopted!Mitchell!Reader, Maverick x Adopted!Daughter!Reader
Warnings: fluff, angst, smut, cursing
Masterlist
A/N: Thank @talesofreading for requesting this and also you and @imagine-all-the-fandoms need to prepare yourselves!
San Diego, California. So warm compared to Quantico, Virginia. It's been a while since you had been in California and the last time it was not a great memory. The last time you were here you had a huge fight with your childhood best friend, you had just found out that your adopted dad, Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, had pulled your best friend, Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw, papers to the Naval Academy. He blamed you and took his anger, not physically, out on you. That's also when you told him you were planning on going to college and straight to NCIS. You hadn't spoken to Bradley in months, almost years and it hurt you but that's the decision you made. He didn't try to contact you and neither did you but with your access with NCIS you kept tabs on his career and you were happy for him. The reason you were back in San Diego was because you had just finished a case that had you traveling there, normally you don't but it involved Navy personnel so it was required. You loved San Diego but you loved your NCIS family just a little more. “So, Y/N..” Tony DiNozzo started smirking and you turned to him.
“What?” You asked
“Do you have anybody you're interested in?” He asked smirking and you knew what he was getting out. He always did this.
“Not happening DiNozzo.” You said as you picked up your gear.
“I wasn't even suggesting that. Besides, we already slept together.” He said
“You are always suggesting that. Also, that was one time and I didn't know you would be my partner.” You said and you glared at him.
“DiNozzo stop bothering Mitchell.” Jethro Gibbs said
“What? I'm not!” Tony tried to argue.
“Yes, you were.” Timothy McGee said
“Shut it, Probie. I was not.” Tony said
“Was he trying to get you to go out with him?” Ziva David asked and you nodded. “Tony.” She said, shaking her head.
“I was not!” Tony shrieked and you chuckled and then turned to Gibbs.
“Do you mind if I go see my dad? I haven't seen him in a while. He's on base.” You asked and Gibbs actually smiled and nodded.
“Of course. You come back whenever you're ready. Just say the word and I'll have a plane ticket for you.” He said and you smiled and nodded grateful for him. He had turned into a father figure for you.
“Thank you.” You said and started to walk out of the building still clad in your NCIS gear. You got into the issued car to you and the team and headed to base. When you got there you gave them your ID and they immediately granted you access.
“Have a good day Special Agent Mitchell.” The guard said and you smiled.
“Thank you. You have a good day too.” You said and pulled through the gate when it was lifted. You drove through and got to the Top Gun building and smiled as you parked. You got out and heard jets taking off and landing and it smelt like jet fuel, you always loved the smell. You smelt it for the first on your father and your Uncle Goose and you fell in love with the smell. You walked into the building and saw all the pictures of your dad's Top Gun class. You smiled looking at them all and then you got to Thomas ‘Iceman’ Kazansky’s photo and you smile grew.
“Well, isn't this a surprise.” A familiar voice sounded and your smile grew wider.
“Hi Uncle Ice.” You said as you turned around and saw him. He pulled you into a hug and you hugged him back.
“It's been a long time, Kid. How is NCIS treating you?” He asked and you smiled.
“Treating me well. We have an agent named Tony DiNozzo and he can be so annoying. He's a ladies’ man if that tells you anything.” You said chuckling and he nodded.
“Like your dad when he was younger.” Ice said and you chuckled smiling.
“Speaking of dad. Where is he?” You asked
“He just got done teaching so he should be in his office or in the cafeteria. Want me to take you to him?” He asked and you pulled a face.
“I don't want to inconvenience you.” You said and he chuckled and shook his head.
“Nonsense. Come on.” He said ushering you and you followed.
“So, he's actually sticking with teaching?” You asked and he chuckled.
“He is. He loves it. The last round of pilots put him through his paces. Bradley is here.” He said and you grew quiet.
“Oh.” You said and he took notice.
“They made up you know?” Ice asked
“They did?” You asked and he nodded.
“After they both went down and got saved by Hangman. They made up.” He said
“Hold up. Dad didn't tell me about him being shot down or anything.” You said slightly angry.
“Well, it was top secret mission. Nobody was supposed to know.” Ice said
“Well, I guess I could've looked it up.” You said and he chuckled as you both walked into the cafeteria.
“There she is.” He said side hugging you. “Ahh there is your dad. Well, I leave you to it.” He said and kissed your temple and left. You took a deep breath and walked over to him, his back was turned and he was a little ways away from the pilots that you had yet to see.
“Are you supposed to be doing that?” You asked him and he was quick to turn around and his face was priceless. At first it was scared but then it was smiling.
“Y/N! Look at you!” He said loud enough for you and him to hear and he hugged you.
“Hi dad. Long time no see.” You said and he chuckled.
“It has been. Look at you. You must've made a name for yourself.” He chuckled as he pulled away.
“It's been great.” You said “Everyone has been great. Tony and you would get along so well he's like a version of you when you were younger. He's hit on me several times and keeps doing it.” You said, chuckling, shaking your head “But he's a great agent and he's actually a good guy and saved my life several times.” You added.
“Saved your life?” He asked and you nodded.
“Yea…. That's a story for another time.” You said
“We'll talk about this later.” He said and you chuckled and nodded. “Come on, I want you to meet the last group of pilots I trained.” He said and started to usher you over to them. You turned around and your eyes met Bradley's and he met yours. He's changed and grown up to be handsome. He grew a mustache just like his father's and he looks so much like him it was scary. You were in awe of him and he was in awe of you too. You haven't changed much but you've changed. Gone is that nice girl that was pushed around and now it was a girl that took no shit from anyone and got the job done when it needed to be done.
“Pops, who is this gorgeous woman? Hi I’m Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin.” A blonde-haired, green-eyed aviator now known as Jake asked. He had a charming smile but you knew his type and weren't phased by it and that is because you worked with Tony DiNozzo big time flirt.
“This woman can introduce herself. I'm Y/N Mitchell, Maverick’s daughter. Well adopted.” You said
“You were never just adopted to me; you were and always will be my daughter no matter what.” Maverick said and you smiled.
“Thanks dad.” You said and hugged him.
“So, are you here on business?” Jake asked using his charm once again.
“I was but we just got finished. Came over as soon as we got done.” You said
“Mmm so you got time for me to take you out on a date then.” He said using his southern charm but you just rolled your eyes and leaned against the table getting close to him.
“I'm gonna tell you what I keep telling DiNozzo. Not going to happen. Besides, I got my eye on someone else.” You said and then got up and looked at Bradley totally missing Jake's fallen expression since he's not used to being turned down but heard others snickers. Truth is that you've been in love with Bradley ever since you were kids and what you didn't know was, he was too but both of you thought that neither of you were interested in the other so nothing was done about it.
“Oh, I like her.” A woman with black hair said and you looked at her and smiled.
“I deal with a Jake at work all the time. His name is Tony DiNozzo.” You said and she smiled.
“I'm Natasha Trace. Callsign is Phoenix.” She said
“Oh, I like that.” You said and then everyone went around introducing themselves. You really liked Ruben, Mickey, and Javy but Natasha and Bob were your favorites alongside Bradley. Jake was fun but no way would you date him.
“Y/N I have to go to a meeting. Are you ok with staying with them? I'm sure when you leave Bradley can walk you out.” Maverick said and you smiled.
“Of course I'm ok with that.” You said and he smiled and kissed your temple and then left. You all talked and laughed and you really connected with them so easily.
“So, Y/N what made you go NCIS and not Navy?” Bob asked and you smiled at him.
“I thought about going into the Navy but decided against it after Goose died. I couldn't do that to dad. I found I really liked solving cases and helping people so I went to college, got a degree in Criminal Justice and interviewed for NCIS. I'm now Special Agent Y/N Mitchell. My team is great and I wouldn't ask for another. Tony is very much like Jake and my dad when he was younger so he helped me grow immune to charm and guys like them. Tony tries so hard to get me to go out with him but I turn him down all the time.” You said
“That is so cool. It's amazing what you do.” Bob said and you smiled at him.
“Thank you. It's amazing what you all do too. I could never do it.” You said. “Although I've been on ships before.” You added. You kept glancing at Bradley as you talked but his eyes never left you. You answered everyone's questions and then you looked down at your watch. “I gotta go. It was nice meeting you all. Hopefully we can get together soon.” You said.
“Maybe sooner than later you and I can get together.” Jake said, trying to shoot his shot one more time.
“No.” You said and he frowned.
“Oh, come on.” He said
“Not happening.” You said as Bradley started getting up and gathering trash to throw away.
“Damn.” He said as Bradley came to stand beside you.
“Ready to go?” Bradley asks you and you nod and he smiles and gestures to you to follow him and you do.
“It’s nice to see you. You’ve changed.” You said as he threw his stuff away and you both were far enough away from the group.
“It’s nice to see you too. I’m sorry for cutting you off too. Maverick explained that you had nothing to do with it after we made up. I tried to contact you but it never went through.” He told you and you looked down in shame as you both continued to walk out of the building.
“I may have blocked your number. You hurt me so bad that I was mad at you for the longest time and I never wanted to speak to you again. But then I saw you today and my anger was still there but it quickly disappeared. I’ll unblock your number and you can watch me.” You said as you arrived at your car and you did so.
“I’m sorry Y/N/N.” He said using his nickname that he had given you. “I shouldn’t have taken it out on you. I'll tell you what come to The Hard Deck tonight with me and I’ll show you I’m sorry.” He said and you paused and looked at him considering it and you nodded.
“Ok.” You said
“Ok?” He asked and you nodded.
“I’ll come to The Hard Deck with you.” You repeated
“Great, I'll pick you up at 7:30?” He asked and you nodded.
“Sounds great.” You said and then pulled out your phone to text the group. “I have to admit you turning down Jake was amazing.” He said and you chuckled.
“Like I said, I deal with Tony and he is like Jake.” You said and he chuckled. “I gotta get going. I’ll see you at 7:30.” You said and he nodded “Goodbye Bradley.” You added.
“Goodbye Y/N/N.” He said using your nickname again and then you were getting into your car and then leaving. He watched you leave with a longing look in his eye. He really did miss you. As he was standing there his phone vibrated and he pulled it out. It was a text from you.
You: See you at 7:30
He smiled and then a second text popped up and it was a picture of you in your NCIS cap and jacket and he smiled. He saved the photo and put it as you contact pictures.
Bradley: Can’t wait
Exactly at 7:30 there was a knock on your hotel door and you were rushing to open it and there stood Bradley Bradshaw in jeans and an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt with a white shirt underneath. He had a pair, Goose’s pair, of aviators on and his hair was styled perfectly. “Hey.” You said and he smiled down at you.
“Hey.” He said
“You look good.” You said and he smiled.
“So do you.” He replied and you blushed and looked. You were in a black t-shirt that was tucked into jeans. He then saw your bags packed. “You can bring your stuff if you want.” He said and you looked at him and smiled.
“Thank you. Are you ready to go?” You asked after a few seconds and he smiled and then grabbed your things before you could. Tony, Gibbs, Ziva, and McGee had all gone back to Virginia and they had taken the cars but you told them that you had a ride, Gibbs was hesitant but he trusted you.
“After you.” He said and gestured toward the parking lot and then you noticed his car, Goose’s Bronco.
“You still have it?” You asked and he nodded as you started to walk out of your hotel room.
“I never got rid of it. Sure, she needs to be fixed up every now and then but it is doable.” He said and you smiled as you reached the vehicle and he put bags into the Bronco. You still had your gun and badge but they were properly put away. Bradley opened the door for you and you got in and then he got in as you buckled up. “I’m so glad you had said yes to coming to The Hard Deck with me. I missed being with you.” He added.
“I missed you, Bradley. I just wish you would’ve listened to me when I said I had nothing to do with having your papers pulled.” You said
“I know and I was a bumbass. I’m sorry but tonight to make up for all of those times, hopefully.” He said as he drove.
“Hopefully it will.” You said and then he was pulling in a parking lot of The Hard Deck and parking next to a truck.
“Ready?” He asked as he killed the engine and you nodded and then the both of you were getting out and heading into the bar. Memories came flooding back when you stepped into the building especially when you saw Penny. You walked up to the bar.
“Hey Penny.” You said and she turned around hearing your voice.
“Little Y/N is that you? It’s been forever. I need a hug.” She said as she came out from behind the bar and hugged you.
“Yea, it is me.” You said
“Look at you! You’re all grown up. Pete has told me you’re with NCIS now.” She said as she pulled back and looked at you, ignoring Bradley by you for the moment.
“That is right. It is great. I have a teammate that if he was here, you would be ringing that bell so many times. Think of him as a version of Jake and a younger version of dad.” You said
“Oh, that’s bad.” She said and you nodded “What can I get you to drink?” She asked, walking back behind the bar.
“Whatever Bradley is having.” You said and she nodded and grabbed two beers. You took both and handed one to Bradley.
“Everyone is over by the usual hangout. Your dad should be here later.” She said and you nodded and smiled.
“Thank you, Penny.” Bradley said
“Yes, thank you.” You repeated after him and she smiled.
“Put them on my tab.” He said and she nodded.
“You got it.” She said and then the both of you were heading over to the group.
“Y/N! I’m so glad you made it!” Natasha exclaimed and hugged you and you hugged back as best as you could. “Finally, another female to cut through all of this testosterone.” She said and you laughed and then everyone said hi to you and Bradley and then the evening got started. Throughout the night many drinks were drank and many games of pool and darts were played and let's just say you won most of the games especially against Jake which he took as a challenge. Everyone loved that Jake had met his match. When you weren’t playing pool or darts you were hanging by Bradley’s side.
“So, Y/N.” You heard Jake’s voice and you turned to look at him. Man, he wouldn’t take a hint but you were used to it, thank you Tony DiNozzo you said to yourself.
“Yes, Jake?” You asked
“What do you say we get out of here and grab something to eat and head back to my place?” He asked using his Texan accent and smirk and you leaned in closer to him letting him get his hopes and then you started to speak.
“Jake Jake Jake Jake.” You sighed, shaking your head “How many times am I gonna have to tell you that it is never going to happen. You just need to give up on me. Also like I said that I have my eye on someone else.” You said and leaned back up and everyone was watching especially Bradley and he had a smirk on his face.
“Damn. Every time.” He said and then walked off but it didn’t take long for some girl to come up to him and it was like your conversation with him never happened and everyone went back to their own thing.
“Man, he sure moves on fast.” You chuckled, looking at Jake and some girl and then at Bradley.
“He sure does. So, what do you say about getting out of here with me?” He asked and you smiled.
“I would love that. Lead the way.” You said and he took your hand and headed to the bar to close out his tab with Penny as you quickly bid a goodbye to the group. While at the bar you spotted your dad. So, you decided to talk to him while Bradley dealt with the tab. “Hey, Dad.” You said and he looked up and smiled at you.
“Hey, Sweetheart. Having fun?” He asked and you nodded and smiled.
“I am. Bradley and I are about to head out for the night.” You said and he smiled.
“I’m so glad the both of you have made up.” He said and you looked up at Bradley and got that dreamy look in your eye.
“I am too.” You said and then Bradley turned around and looked at you.
“Ready to go?” He asked and you nodded.
“Yup.” You turned to your dad “I’ll see you before I leave.” You said and he smiled.
“You better.” He said and hugged you “I love you.” He said.
“I love you too.” You replied and then he turned to Bradley.
“Take care of her.” Maverick said and Bradley nodded.
“You know I will.” He said and Maverick smiled.
“Good. See you both later.” Maverick said and you both smiled and bid your goodbyes to him and Penny and then you both walked out of the bar to the Bronco. Once you reached the Bronco you both stopped, your back to the beautiful vehicle.
“Thank you for tonight. I would say it made up for everything.” You said and he smiled.
“I think so too.” He said “You look so beautiful.” He added and put a loose strand of hair behind your ear. You looked up at him and the streetlight made him glow and it just made him all more perfect. “Damn you’re so beautiful.” He whispered.
“You’re not so bad yourself.” You whispered and then he was slowly leaning down and you were meeting him halfway and then both of your eyes closed and lips touched. Sparks flew through the both of you. At first it was slow and passionate and then it turned heated. Your hands went to his hair pulling him further into you and his hands went to your hips pushing back against the Bronco. He licked your bottom lip asking for permission and you granted it tongues fought for dominance until he won and then you both were pulling up for air. Both of your pupils were blown and cheeks flushed pink and heavy breathing was heard between you. “That was amazing. You’re amazing.” You said breathlessly.
“I could say the same for you.” He said in a deeper voice “My house?” He asked.
“Your house.” You confirmed and the both of you were scrambling to get into the Bronco. You both made in but kissing was involved which made it harder but you both succeeded in getting in and buckling in. He started the vehicle and you hand went to his thigh and rubbed it as he pulled out of the parking spot and out of the parking lot onto the main road. Your hand traveled higher until it got his bulging cock and you slowly rubbed and he jerked making him jerk the wheel but he corrected himself.
“Keep doing that and we won’t make it to the house.” He said and you smirked but kept going.
“Then you better get to the house fast.” You said as you started to unzip his jeans and dipped your hands into his underwear grabbing his cock and squeezing and again, he jerked the wheel and corrected it.
“Oh, Baby. I can’t wait to have your pretty lips wrapped around me.” He moaned as you stroked him.
“You don't have to wait. Keep driving and act like nothing is happening.” You said as you took him out of his jeans and then got comfortable and bent down taking him in your mouth. Bradley tried to keep his composure but when your hot mouth took him in, he moaned and jerked. “Careful.” You said letting him go for just a minute to look up at him through your eye lashes.
“I'm trying. Your mouth feels so perfect wrapped around me.” He grunted. Both of you were glad it was dark out and you were close to his home. You hummed and that sent vibrations down his cock and that made him buck into you. His cock hit the back of your throat and you moaned. You continued to move up and down on him while licking underneath his shift and the tip. “Keep doing that and I won't last, Baby.” He grunted and smirked as best as you could. One of his hands came to the back of your head and he slightly added pressure as you moved up and down him. You relaxed your throat to take him deeper “Goodness gracious baby. Take it all. Fuck.” He moaned as he hurriedly parked in his driveway. He was quick to kill the engine and throw his head back. His hand that was in your hair was now gripping it and he was helping push your head up and down. You decided to grab what was left of the shift that wasn't in your mouth with your hand and worked it squeezing it occasionally. Your other hand went to his heavy balls and played with them. “Holy fuck.” He moaned and bucked his hips up. You were no virgin, that was for sure your first time having been with Tony DiNozzo, yes, the arrogant cock bastard, but that was before you knew he would be your coworker. Both of you had been at a party and then one thing led to another and he was taking your virginity. Both of you agreed not to say anything and put it behind you. It did lead to him being slightly protective over you even if it meant that he hit on you constantly and you didn't care it was comforting plus it helped you resist so called playboy charm, like Jake. “We're here. As much as I want you to finish in your mouth. I wanna finish in that tight pussy of yours.” He grunted as you were pulling off of him. You wiped your mouth as he tucked himself in his jeans and it hurt because he was so hard. You both managed to get out and stumbled to the door high on sex. As he was unlocking the door you were kissing him and running fingers through his hair.
“Damn you are so sexy.” You moaned out as you ran a hand over his heavy aching cock.
“So are you.” He moaned and the sound made you clench around nothing and squeeze your thighs together.
“Fuck me.” You moaned
“Oh, I plan on it.” He said as he pushed his door open and then slightly pushed you in and closed it. He turned you around and pushed you against the door and attacked your lips with his. Hands on your hips and yours back in his hair messing it up further one of his hands traveled down to your aching core and he cupped it. Sparks flew through you and you moaned in his mouth and it got louder as he started to rub you through your jeans. He pulled away just for a minute giving you both time to catch your breath.
“Bradley.” You moaned out as he took his hand away and unbuttoned your jeans and slipped his right-hand in. You were no doubt soaking and you confirmed it when he ran a finger through your folds. “Oh fuck.” You moaned as he started attacking your neck with his mouth kissing and nipping and soothing, you had turned your head giving him more access. His other hand snaked its way under your shirt and under your bra and to your left breast. “Fuck!” You moaned as he pinched, pulled, and rolled your nipple with his finger.
“You like that, Baby?” He asked
“Fuck yes.” You moaned as he slipped a thick digit into you and he watched your face. He smirked as your mouth fell open, eyes closed, and head thrown back.
“You're so pretty getting finger fucked.” He said as he leant down and nipped your neck and that made you squeeze his fingers. “Squeezing me so tight and I haven't started.” He said with a smirk and you could hear it. He added a second thick finger.
“Fuck. Stretching me so good.” You moaned, the stretch was welcoming and there was a slight pain but it quickly turned into pleasure. If his fingers felt this good you couldn't wait for his cock to be inside of you.
“Oh, Baby. Just wait until I'm inside of you.” He said into your neck as he moved his fingers in and out of you. He curled his fingers and then used his thumb to rub your clit and that had you releasing a loud moan. “That's right, Baby. Let everyone know how good I'm making you feel.” He said and then followed it with a nip to your neck and that had you squeezing him. He decided to add a third finger.
“Fuck, Bradley. So full.” You moaned and bucked your hips. “I'm gonna cum.” You moaned out. He suddenly pulled away and out and you quickly opened your eyes and glared “What the hell?” You asked.
“I want to taste you and I want you to cum with me.” He said and then got down on his knees and pushed down your jeans and underwear. Cold air hit your slicked core. He undid your shoes and threw them off with your socks and then jeans and underwear. He was aching hard but he could wait, he needed to taste you. He bent one leg and threw it over his shoulder so that he was eye level with your core. You made quick work of your shirt and bra and your nipples went rock hard in the cold. “Look at you. All wet for me. Who made you this wet?” He asked placing a kiss to your sensitive clit.
“You did.” You moaned and apparently, he didn't like that answer because you were met with a nip to your clit “Fuck.” You moaned.
“Louder. Let the neighbors know.” He growled out.
“Bradley Bradshaw made me wet!” You yelled out and were rewarded with him licking a broad stripe up your folds. His mustache scratching helped with the pleasure. He ate you out like his life depended on it. “Fuck! Feels so good!” You moaned out and was rewarded with him going faster. He pushed two fingers in and you almost came right then and there. “Fuck, Baby! I'm so close!” You exclaimed and then he pulled away and stood up and that made you growl. “Fuck you asshole.” You said.
“You will just hold your jets.” He said quickly removing his clothes and shoes. You looked him up and down and practically drooled especially when his aching hard angry cock came up and slapped his abs.
“Fuck you have really grew up, didn't ya?” You asked and he chuckled.
“So have you.” He replied and then he was stepping close to you. “Jump.” He said and you obeyed and you could taste yourself as the both of you started French kissing as he started to carry you to his bedroom. Each step his cock threatened to slip in. He walked into his room and to his bed where he fell onto the bed gently on top of you. Tongues fighting for dominance. His hips spread your legs further and he grabbed your legs and threw up over his shoulders.
“Bradley. Baby. I need you.” You moaned into his mouth.
“You have me.” He said as he stroked himself once and guided himself in you. The stretch stung but it was welcomed all the fingering helped slightly but he was girthy and long.
“Fuck! Filling me so good!” You moaned out as he bottomed out and settled. He leaned over you pushing your legs up to your shoulders making himself go deeper. Your hands went to his shoulders and fingers dug into them.
“You're squeezing me so tight. Taking me so well. Gonna fuck you full.” He moaned and started moving as he caged your body in and he rested on his forearms.
“Been waiting for this for so long.” You moaned as he thrusted in and out of you.
“Wanted to be with you when I knew what love was but you were already gone.” He said
“You have me now.” You said and you got a sharp thrust as a response. “Fuck. Do that again.” You said and he did so. “Faster, I'm close.” You moaned and he obeyed.
“Fuck taking me so deep and so well.” He moaned and you squeezed him as he thrusted faster.
“That's it right there.” You moaned as nails raked down his back making him hiss.
“Feels so good. I'm gonna have scratches there for weeks.” He said and you smirked.
“Good. You have something to brag about especially to Jake.” You said and he thrusted hard.
“Don't bring his name up.” He growled
“Why not? What are you going to do about it?” you asked
“This.” He said and sped up to a pace that had skin on skin as the only sound filling the room. He then latched onto a nipple and sucked, pulled, and bit it while he played with the other and once satisfied with that he switched.
“I'm close, Baby.” You moaned as he pulled off of your nipple.
“Cum with me.” He said and picked up his pace and brought a hand to your clit and started to rub, pinch, and pull on it.
“That's it right there.” You said and then his thrusts were starting to become sloppy.
“I'm cumming, Baby. Cum with me.” He said as he finally stilled inside you. Once you felt his warm sperm spill inside of you and the added pressure from your clit being pleasured you came.
“Fuck!” You moaned as that knot exploded and he put your shaking legs down as you both were breathing heavily as you were coming down from your highs. He slowly pulled out of you as he kissed you. “Damn you came deep in me.” You said and he chuckled as he laid beside you and pushed what came out back in and you moaned at the over stimulation.
“What can I say? I didn't want to waste a drop. I wanted every drop in you.” He said as he laid beside you and you turned over to look at him. Both down from your high.
“I missed you.” You whispered
“I missed you too.” He replied
“I'm sorry for blocking you.” You said
The next morning you were waking up early. At first you didn't know where you were but then you saw Bradley sleeping peacefully in front of you and you smiled. You shifted and you felt the soreness and smiled. Last night Bradley rocked your world and it was amazing. You then had the brilliant idea of making breakfast. You kissed his lips and then rolled over and started to get out of bed hoping not to wake him up but you did not succeed because you were being pulled back against him. “Where are you going?” He asked, opening his eyes.
“Well, I was going to get coffee going and start some breakfast.” You said but now you were having second thoughts not wanting to get up from his embrace “But being in your arms feels kind of nice.” You said as you turned over to look at him.
“I like you being in my arms too.” He said then it went quiet and you could tell he wanted to say something.
“What is going through that pretty head of yours?” You asked
“I have to ask. When did you lose your virginity and to who? You don’t have to answer me if you don’t want to.” He said and you smiled and shook your head.
“No, it's fine. As to who took it, it was Tony.” You said and you waited for him to process it.
“As in Tony DiNozzo, the guy you work with?” He asked and you nodded.
“Yes, him. When he took it, I had just arrived in Virginia and wanted to go out with some friends that we had gone to school with. They took me out to a party and then we went to a bar, it was a really nice bar almost like Penny’s.” You explained. “After a few drinks and some crappy karaoke, I was approached by him and me being slightly tipsy and so was he. I said yes for him to take me home. We ended up having sex and he knew it was my first time and he was so sweet about it. The next morning, I got up and left without him knowing and then I started my first day on the job and turned out he was my teammate, we talked about that night and both promised not to make a big deal about it but Tony being Tony he started hitting on me and I turned him down so it's a thing between us. So yes, he was my first time; to be honest I wanted it to be with you but you never saw me that way and you had cut me off so I gave up hope so I gave it away.” You explained and you could see hurt in his eyes.
“Y/N/N-” He began but you cut him off.
“It’s ok really. I should be going anyway.” You said and started to get up but he wouldn’t allow it. “Bradley, you don’t have to take pity on me.” You said looking at him and he shook his head.
“I’ve loved you ever since I knew what love was and that was when we were little and we could play on the playground. From what little time I had with my dad I saw how he loved my mother and treated her and that is when I knew what it was. I wanted to be with you but I didn’t want to ruin what we had and now I do. I want to be with you.” He said
“But I’m in Virginia and you are here in California.” You said and he shook his head.
“We can make it work.” He said and you looked hesitant.
“I live a very stressful life, Bradley.” You said and knew you shouldn’t have said it because he lived one too.
“I live one too. Never knowing when I will deploy or if I will be shot down. Please I want to be with you and I know you want to be with me too. Let’s try.” He said caressing your face and you leaned into his touch as you thought about it.
“Ok. Let’s give it a try.” You said and he smiled and his eyes lit up no trace of sadness anywhere.
“Great! I promise this will work, Baby. I love you so much.” He said and kissed your forehead and you smiled.
“I believe you. I love you too.” You said snuggling into him and the both of you got comfortable again. As you laid there thinking about every worst possible outcome your love for Bradley kept shooting back to the surface and made all those thoughts go away.
You knew it would work out but those thoughts of doubt still surfaced and scared you. You couldn’t wait to start your life with Bradley even if it was long distance but you knew that you could come out here and visit and you knew he could come to you. So, in the end everything was perfect and you would be a fool for not taking the chance. It was a chance you were glad you took it. You weren’t going back now and you didn’t want to go back. You are perfectly content being with Bradley and he was perfectly content with you. Everything was perfect.

I was thinking about the hidden events after the olive grove scene and how much I wish we had at least one cute scene of Tiva together happily as a couple, because after waiting for it for several seasons, we never really saw them as a couple, which always made me think and create theories about what happened, even more so after 13x24, why all we had until then was a goodbye kiss, but then, suddenly they have a daughter?!
Before 13x24 I was wondering if Tony and Ziva had any romance between the olive grove scene and the goodbye kiss, because although Tony practically declared himself to Ziva, we know that she always "ran away" from what she felt for Tony, and even more so now that she wanted to leave the past behind, so maybe nothing would have happened between them, but the assurance that Ziva said that Tony was loved and the familiarity that he approached her for the goodbye kiss, always made me doubt.
After 13x24 and knowing that Ziva is alive, I'm very happy that something actually happened between them, but sad about the events that followed, Ziva raised her daughter alone and then had to leave her with the father she didn't even know why she was being hunted, I can't even imagine what she felt as she walked away from Tali, which caused her to develop anxiety.
And while Tony?, he suffered a lot when he returned to Washington alone, and changed a lot in her absence. The scene where he discovers her (fake) death and the one where he returns to the office completely freaking out, still hurts me. But what really hurts me is hearing the hint of anger in Tony's voice when he talks about Tali's paternity with Orli.
Well, I just know that I want their time together in Israel to be mentioned in NCIS: Tony and Ziva

Being Married to Tony Dinozzo Would Include…
He definitely jokes around with you a lot
I mean it’s his no.1 personality trait but like the jokes are more forthcoming with you
Also a lot more dirtier.
He feels like he fails if he doesn’t make you laugh at least once a day
Will also try to diffuse an arguement with jokes
Speaking of arguments. If you have boobs, wack em out in a spat and you’ll instantly have him speechless
Tony is definitely a cuddler
Loves to cuddle, or even just have some form of contact with you 99% of the time.
If you work at NCIS, this is more laid back during the day but still prominent
Gibbs had to pull Tony aside about it one day.
Gibbs also knew about the two of you dating before everyone else
He was the one to tell Tony to get over his worries and propose
He was also the best man, alongside McGee.
Ziva helped pick out the ring
Abby knew nothing because she cannot keep a secret to save her life.
He keeps a picture of the two of you on your wedding day on his desk
100% is whipped
But like in a way where you don’t even need to ask him to do stuff, he like already has it done by the time you think to ask
Does not do the dishes though. Don’t even try that argument.
Will take you shopping, secretly not so secretly loves it
But most of all, being married to Tony Dinozzo means knowing that you’ll be loved, through thick and thin because Tony shows it to you every day, in every way imaginable

I could spend hours talking about Tony and Ziva being soulmates, meant to be after trauma, after not being able to discuss their feelings, after years of not being together, of unsaid things. They always find their way back to each other.
It's always been like this for them. It's inevitable, one can't stay without the other, as Tony said, he couldn't live without her. And it's so clear from the very beginning that their dynamic would set a before and after in their lives, something changed forever when they met.
They went through so many things together, it started out like a flirt, a constant tease, a continuous competition of who would give in first, surrender to attraction. Jealousy, heartbreaks, physical and mental connection, a friendship that slowly becomes "cherish each other".
Feeling that something is wrong when the other is in danger, like a sixth sense, because a soulmate senses those things. Traveling though the ends of the earth to seek revenge, to find out the person you lthiught you lost, is right in front of you and that person can't live without you either.
Broken trust, falling back into familiar dynamics, trying to find love in other people, but when fate knows better that two people are destined to be together, it will do whatever it takes to bring them close again and again, forever.
Unspoken truths need to be revealed, but soulmates always find a way after hard times, after struggling, after so much anxiety to protect each other and what matters the most: a child, the result of love. Building trust again, falling back into their rhythm as parents, partners.
And no matter what happens in this new chapter, in this spin off, if something keeps them apart. Because soulmates are stronger than anything or anyone else and their bond is unbreakable.
#Random tiva thoughts#I saw a tweet about soulmates and it made me think about them#Don't mind me I'm just rambling#They are literally the definition of soulmates#tiva#tony and ziva#ziva david#tony dinozzo#ncis#tony x ziva#ncis tony and ziva#ncis tiva

Michael and Cote's interview for La Gazette de Monaco (translated from French)
The Paramount+ spin-off will be filmed in Europe, and more specifically in Budapest. After so many years, why is it finally coming to fruition?
Cote de Pablo: I think the stars have aligned in a way. We've been nurturing this idea for a very long time, so we're very excited. We're thrilled to be shooting this spin-off in Europe and embracing the lifestyle that goes with it. It's a huge gift as actors because we come from a very different machine...
Will there be any similarities, or not, with the NCIS mothership?
CdP: There won't be a flash image with a corpse at the beginning. We won't have to solve a crime and then in the end everything works out and everyone goes back to their dysfunctional families! (laughs) We wanted to take our two characters away from the agency and have them evolve in an international context. The other main difference is the format, since we're doing 10 episodes instead of 24. And we’re shooting ten hours a day!
One of the main characters in this spin-off is your daughter Tali. Have you found the actress to play her?
Michael Weatherly: We've just completed the casting process. The series should really be called "NCIS: Tony, Ziva & Tali", as their child is at the heart of their concerns. In NCIS, our characters didn't have this, so they acted very personally, according to their desires. When you have a child, you have to figure out what's best for them. At the same time, Tony and Ziva also have to save the world. Tali is the perfect character to introduce new sources of trouble.
Your on-screen chemistry is just as real in real life. How do you preserve this 20-year friendship?
MW: Our friendship began under President Bush... and continued through the administrations of Obama, Trump, and Biden! The truth is, we talk a lot. Friendships can be difficult in show business, where there's not always a sense of durability. It's a bit like the friends you make at summer camp and never see again!
CdP: Except that you never got rid of me! I'm your forever summer camp buddy (laughs). You and I, we laugh a lot, and there's this truly wonderful thing that happens over time, where friendship deepens as we say in Spanish. If there is a problem, I can count on our 20 years to get through it. That doesn't mean there won't be conflicts, because we're both passionate creatures, but our friendship has been through a lot, not just professionally.

Firearm Training - Abby Sciuto x Gibbs'!Daughter Reader
Pairing: Abby Sciuto x Gibbs'!Daughter Reader
Includes: fluff, slight hurt/angst?, cute moments with Abby, Abby comforting you, soft Gibbs moment because he’s your dad
Warnings: guns, shooting guns (at paper targets)
Word Count: 2395 (I hope this finds people who also love Abby bc it’s so rare that I make it to 2000 words)
Brief Description: Your dad (Gibbs) wanted you to learn firearm safety and how to shoot a gun after several incidents of members of his team and/or their loved ones being targeted. You did fine for most of the lesson but did not handle live fire well. You had an emotional reaction to it but tried to push through until Abby came up to comfort you. Your dad took you and her to get milkshakes and cookies after to help you feel better.
~~~
Firearm training. You were here because your dad wanted you to learn firearm safety and how to shoot a gun. You weren’t fond of loud noises; you preferred bows and crossbows to a gun anyday. However, after several incidents of the team being targeted and even your girlfriend Abby being violently stalked by an ex, you could understand your dad wanting you to learn how to use a gun. Most of the team was there, save for Ducky and Palmer. It was you, Abby, Tony, Tim, Ziva, Director Shepard, and your dad for the day on a private outdoor range with one of your dad’s friends as the instructor. You used one of your dad’s pistols for the day, with “GIBBS”written on the side of the magazine. The guns were all on tables for now as for the first section of the day, your group was reviewed on the build and mechanisms of standard pistols and magazines.
Sitting in a circle with the team, you learned firearm safety: how to carry and handle a pistol safely; the build and parts of a basic pistol: how to take it apart, clean it, reassemble it; and its functions: how to load rounds into a magazine followed by how to load and unload a pistol without shooting it. You did a few rounds of safety checks and learned to never assume it’s unloaded. You practiced dry firing it and the instructor helped you with your hand positioning and grip; your stance was already solid from your previous years in martial arts. The dry fire shooting felt easy going and made you feel cool as you heard the click of shooting imaginary bullets at the target. Your dad and girlfriend both looked at you often with proud expressions on their faces as you quickly picked up each concept and were doing quite well in the course thus far.
It was 4 hours into the course and was finally time for lunch. After lunch it would be time to start shooting live rounds at paper targets. However, for now you all just gathered round and decided to go to a local diner for lunch. It was a 20 minute drive there, and despite there being 8 of you, you were all seated right away as the town you were in was remote enough for the diner to be sparse on patrons. You sat next to Abby, Director Shepard next to her, and the instructor at the end of your side of the table. Ziva was in front of you then, Tony, McGee, and your dad filling the other 3 seats on that side of the table respectively. You and Abby ordered fried chicken and waffles to share, your dad and Shepard got steaks, Ziva, Tony, and McGee got sandwiches, and the instructor got a burger. You all took your time to enjoy the meal in each others’ company, you occasionally leaning your head on Abby’s shoulder or her stealing a bite of the waffle you were nibbling on. After much enjoyment and frivolity, you all ended up returning to the range an hour and a half later for the second half of the course.
You got out of Abby’s car and walked over to the range, Shepard and the instructor already waiting on the course as they rode with your dad, and Tony was close on the way driving Ziva and McGee. You, Abby, your Dad, and director Shepard were already set up as you and Abby were borrowing a pair of your dad’s spare handguns that he stored in his car. Each of your respective guns and accessories were set on the tables, now accompanied by trays of live rounds. Tony’s, Ziva’s and McGee’s guns and gear were with them already, and they would have to set it up themselves upon arriving. The trio soon arrived, and as they got set up, the instructor had the rest of you start with putting on your noise canceling headphones and safety glasses. You glanced over at Abby, adored at how amazing she looked even in the firearm noise canceling headphones and glasses, the headphones set against her bow topped pigtails. The instructor then called for a safety check, followed by loading your magazines with a few live rounds. You were starting to feel a bit anxious as you’d never fired a live round before and the instructor warned you’d need a firm grip to counter the power of shooting live rounds. Before picking up the guns to load in the magazines, Abby leaned over and kissed your cheek— likely leaving a lipstick mark— and gave your hand a squeeze. “You’ll do fine,” she assured you with a gentle smile, clearly noticing your nerves start to kick in.
You lined up with the rest of your group, the instructor on your left to help with your lesson, and Abby on your right for moral support. The instructor led for everyone to begin. Each in your group aimed their guns forward and the instructor made minor adjustments to your grip before telling you to place your finger on the trigger and fire when ready. Before you could do so, you heard the first few shots fired from the team and flinched, your eyes closing at the same time. You opened them and took a deep breath trying to brush it off and fixed your own aim. The instructor had held up her hand to signal everyone else to stop firing so as to let you focus. You aimed at the target, took a deep breath, and slowly pulled the trigger as instructed. On the outside you appeared calm, but it felt like winding a jack in the box until *BANG!* You jumped and your hands were shoved up as your body absorbed the inertia of the shot. You looked at your instructor and pasted a smile on your face as she told you that you’d done well. Tears started to form in the corners of your eyes but you fought them, slightly confused as to why they were forming as you didn’t feel particularly sad. You flashed your plastered smile at Abbs, and she smiled in return as she took a few shots herself. You still flinched at every loud bang, but you pushed it all down. It was fine, you were fine. You asked the instructor for some advice on how to avoid losing your grip again, “Uhh, how do I keep my hands from shooting up when the gun fires and keep my grip?”. The instructor moved you into position and put her hands over yours on the gun, “you gotta make sure there is no space between your hands and hold your (dominant) hand firmly with your (non-dominant) hand”. You nodded, giving an ok in response before the instructor took a break to use the restroom. Abbs had finished a few rounds and put her gun on the table before coming up to you from the side. She laid a hand on your back and left a gentle kiss on the back side of your neck, “I’ll be over at the tent babe, you’re doing great!”, she informed you before returning cheerfully to the tent set up for breaks and spectating. It was now you, Ziva, McGee, Tony, and Director Shepard on the range. Your dad was watching from the tent along with Abbs who had just sat in one of the chairs to spectate with him.
You prepared to take another shot and aimed at the target when Ziva came up beside you, “Fix your grip, there’s a gap between your hands again.” You did as she told you and thanked her before putting your finger on the trigger and slowly pulling it again. *BANG!* You jump again and silent tears form. You try to push through and keep your gaze forward so as to not let anyone onto the tears nearly falling down your face. You take a deep breath your heart racing, fixing your grip before pulling the trigger a third time, *BANG!* Silent tears start to fall down your cheeks, still baffling you as you don't feel sad or upset. A sniffle tips off Ziva who leans over to look at your face. She notices the tears and bluntly inquires, "What are the tears for? You're only shooting at a paper." You feel bad for not being able to stop it and feel pressured to suck it up, responding that you’re fine and start setting up for another shot. Abby heard from the chairs set up at the tent behind the shooting range and immediately made her way over, your father Gibbs behind her. Your calm steadiness starts to waver as your hands begin to shake. You breathe, put your finger on the trigger and take your 4th shot, losing your grip on the gun as your hands start to shake even more. You bring your (non-dominant hand) back onto the gun and aim at the target once more, hands and arms shaking profusely and tears streaming down your face, blurring your vision a bit.
Ziva is baffled at your emotional state, giving you a confused look as to why this is making you cry. You didn’t really understand why yourself, you just knew you couldn’t stop it or hold it back even though you didn’t necessarily feel upset. You hear another couple shots from Tony and McGee and flinch again. By this time, Abby has finally made it to you and pressed her body against your back, wrapping one arm around you and grabbing the gun out of your hands with the other. You turn and melt into her, tears still falling down your face and she rubs her thumb against your back trying to calm you a bit, “Darling, it’s ok, you did so good. You don’t have to keep going.” Your dad makes it over and looks to Ziva who is still perplexed, “Stop staring and take the gun from Abby would ya?!” You bury yourself further into Abby as Ziva takes the gun out of Abby’s hand and places it on the table. Now with a free hand, Abby turns the volume all the way off on your headphones to reduce the loudness of the gunshots. You look up at her. “It helps a bit to have the volume all the way down” she tells you as she holds your face and wipes the tears away with her thumb. You bury your face into her neck and she wraps her other arm around you, holding you close and whispering affirmations and sweet nothings into your ear. Your dad puts a hand on your shoulder, standing behind Abby to talk to you, “Hey, you did good kid. You can stop if you want to. I just wanted you to know how to shoot if you ever need to. Now you can.” Abby walked you over to the tent and sat against a table, keeping you in her arms as you calmed down, rubbing circles on your back with her thumb. The rest of the team kept on shooting, your Dad taking your place in the lineup. Director Shepard came over and leaned against the table beside Abby, placing a hand on your back and reassuring you, “Hey, you’re ok.” She smiled, and you tried to smile back in return, still shaking a bit. “You can sit over here with us while they finish the course, no need to go back out.” After a few minutes, your breathing had finally evened out again, and Abby brought you around the table to the chairs while keeping you close to her. She sat down and guided you to sit in her lap as Director Shepard sat in the chair beside hers. You sat across her lap, legs over the side of the chair, and leaned into her. You kept your head on her shoulder as she put one around your waist and left the other one free. You still flinched at most of the shots the rest of the team took so Abby pulled out your book to distract you a bit. She held you in her arms and read your book with you until the shooting course was over.
Afterwards, the team packed up all their gear and put it into their respective cars, your dad packing up for you and Abby as both of you had borrowed his spare pistols for the course. Tony, Ziva, and McGee left first, bidding the rest of you farewell. Your dad came up to you and Abby, both of you still consumed in the book, and pulled it down to get both your attention, “Hey, how about we go to the diner for milkshakes before heading home?” You liked the idea. Shepard joined the three of you; she had felt like a mother to you and Abby. The instructor bid you all a farewell as she had her own car to return home with and still had to pack up the course for the night.
Around 20 minutes later, you had arrived at the diner and been seated in a 4 person booth, you and Abby on one side and Gibbs and Shepard on the other. Your dad ordered a chocolate malt shake, Shepard a Vanilla one, and Abby a Black and White (think chocolate and marshmallows). You still felt shaken so Abby, knowing your favorites, ordered your favorite milkshake as well as a double order of chocolate chip cookies for you and her to share. Once the waitress had gone to put in your orders, Abby pulled you close by the waist and the two of you sat nuzzled up together. You remained like this still when your orders arrived and as you enjoyed the sugary rewards of the day. After you were done, the sun was starting to set so your dad paid the bill and you all headed out: Shepard with Gibbs and you with Abbs. She had her hand either on your thigh or laced into your hand for half of the ride to your house where she was spending the night. Your dad cooked dinner that night for the four of you and Shepard headed home at around 9pm. You and Abby remained cuddled up for the rest of the night before finally falling asleep, wrapped together in each other's arms.
I would love to see some Timothy McGee.
Something on the lines of :
His “crew” keep on wondering why he has to bail out on dinners and keeps a low profile when going home not knowing that he just can’t wait to get back to reader and spend time with his loving boyfriend.
My Peace
Timothy McGee x Male reader
Word count: 1K
Warnings: friends being nosy.
For the past two months Timothy McGee had been rushing off at the end of the day. Normally he would have stayed about an hour or so after so he could catch up on paperwork and some other things at his desk. Or stay back to help Abby with some things in her lab.
He still helps Abby sometimes but recently he has been saying goodbye to everyone. Then taking his paperwork home so he can finish it there. He has also been bailing out on dinners and group outings after work. When usually he is pleased to go. The thing that's caught Ziva and Tony's interest is the fact that he rushes out. Like he has some place to be.
So tonight after Timothy leaves Ziva and Tony come up with a plan. Its actually Tonys idea and Ziva goes along with it. "I can't be the only one that has noticed McGeeks behavior recently"
Ziva looks up from the work she is finishing up. Looking at Tony she nods "He has been acting different than he usually does. But im sure he just wants to get home." She says trying to steer Tony from making a scene.
It doesn't work as she plans because it makes Tony even more curious. "I'm going to figure out why he's been like this" before he can invite Ziva there's footsteps heard and in come Gibs. "You should have better things to do besides spying on McGee" he says as he goes to his desk and grabs a few things.
"yes boss" Tony says before sitting back down and finishing up his paperwork.
-----
Timothy had managed to leave without causing to many questions. He just wanted to get home because someone was waiting for him. His boyfriend whom he had been dating for a year now, had moved in with him recently. It was a big change for the both of them since now his boyfriend would be home alone many hours out of the day or night. But he seemed to be adjusting well.
Even though you had told him over and over again that you were fine. That you didn't mind being home alone after coming from work. He still felt bad and always tried to come home to you as early as he could. You never once made Tim feel bad for having to work many hours out of the day. It was his own mind eating away at him.
So when he finally made it home he walked in to the smell of food. He had texted you saying what time he should be home and it looked like you had made dinner. You were standing in the kitchen in a pair of sweatpants and a sweater since Tim always liked it a bit chilly in the house. You looked so handsome even when your hair was slightly messy.
He walks into the kitchen and places a kiss to your cheek. This causes you to smile and lean against him "welcome home handsome. Im making your favorite" you said as you finished up the food.
"Thank you for doing all of this. You didn't have to, I could have picked something up on the way home" he said. You turn to look at him once you turn the stove off. Your hands grabbing ahold of his own. "its the least I could do. You are here at a reasonable time tonight. We both deserve a home cooked meal. That's shared together"
Timothy's love languages were words of affirmation and physical touch. So you knew how to get him to relax and really be here with you. He looks down at you and leans to place a kiss to your lips. A smile on both of your faces. "I will always try to make it home at a reasonable time"
You squeeze his hand before making him a plate. He had went to go sit and you placed his plate in front of him before you yourself sitting down and enjoying your meal.
During your meal the both of you talked about your day. He talked about anything he was able to share with you. Most of what he talked about was the team though. Sharing stories about Tony and ZIva mostly but there were even some stories about Abby and their boss Gibs.
Then you told him about your week and that consisted of what kids have done and said. You were a teacher and a part time baker, you had your own bakery that you were in charge of. Telling him about the crazy orders that people have put in. About how many things you have to make this weekend when you don't have school.
As the both of you talked you ate. Timothy always making sure you knew he was listening to what you said. Asking questions to keep you talking. He loved the sound of your voice more than anything.
When the two of you had finished eating he had gotten from his seat and begun cleaning up. You walked up behind him and placed a kiss to his shoulders. "thank you for helping clean up. Would you like to play a video game together once you're finished?" you ask and he instantly smiles. "of course I would. How about we play that walking dead game you like so much"
The two of you get ready and sit on the couch playing a video game together. Not hearing the footsteps that were getting near your door.
----
Back at the job Tony had finished everything and had managed to get Ziva into coming with him. They had gotten everything and decided to come and see just exactly what McGee was hiding from them all.
So they got into the car and stayed outside the house for a few minutes. Seeing if there was any suspicious activity going on and from the most part they could see. Everything was normal except for the fact that Tim didn't unlock his door. It was already unlocked for him which was strange because everyone who worked this job. Always locked their doors and from what they have known he lived alone.
They had grabbed some fast food and ate in the car. When they decided to walk up to the front door to knock they hesitated. The reason they stopped was because they heard laughter and slight yelling from two people. It wasn't the type of yelling out of anger it was out of mock frustration at something.
Ziva turned to Tony "come on lets leave him be. What if there's a reason he isn't telling us something"
He shakes his head "If he isn't telling us its probably something bad. Just come on" His fist knocks on the door.
Its only a few minutes until the door opens and there stood a man. One who they have never met before, that stood there in one of McGees sweaters. "Hi" you say
Tony and Ziva look at each other for a second before McGee's voice comes around the corner and he sees whose at the door. "Tony, Ziva. What are you two doing here?" he asks
"we came to check on you. You've been acting more odd than usual and we thought something was up. Is there something you need to tell us?" Tony asks as if he's some family member catching him in a lie.
You laugh and shake your head. "Im y/n. McGees boyfriend. This isn't how we were planning on telling you guys. But its nice to meet the both of you nonetheless."
The four of you all talk and get acquainted. You actually get along pretty well. Ziva and you like to pick on Tony. You and Tony lovingly picking on Tim. However when it was time for them to leave. You were glad for it cause now you can spend the rest of the night playing the game and sleeping.
Turning to look at your boyfriend the both of you laugh. "well what a wonderful way to meet your team" you say with a smile.
**********
The Gibbs Team looked at the plasma, looking over the military file displayed on it.
Tony crossed his arms over his chest and got closer to the screen, “She’s pretty, real pretty.” “She’s missing DiNozzo,” Gibbs said, walking into the bullpen with his coffee. “How did you-” Gibbs just stared at him. “Nevermind.”
McGee rolled his eyes before turning to the screen. “Lieutenant Y/N ‘Medusa’ Abbott was reported UA this morning by her captain, Captain Pete Mitchell.” Ziva spoke up, “She’s a Naval Aviator, graduated top of her class and has flown several high profile missions.” “She also was a TOP GUN graduate, graduating in the number one spot there as well,” Tony added.
“She got a backseater?” Gibbs asked. “Uh, no, not anymore,” Tim said, looking down at the ground. “Not anymore?” The image changed to one of a photo of Y/N and her backseater. “Lieutenant Jordan Winters was in a car accident in 2018. He was in a coma for a month, when he woke up the damage to his legs had been so severe that he was discharged,” Tony elaborated.
Gibbs nodded, “What about her wingman?” Ziva pressed the clicker, “Lieutenant Jacob Seresin, call sign ‘Hangman’; also graduated top of his class and graduated from TOP GUN in the number one slot.” Tony winced, “Wonder what he did to earn a call sign like that.” Ziva chuckled, “I can think of a few things.”
A smack sounded out in the bullpen.
Ziva and Tony rubbed the back of their heads. “Right, sorry boss.”
“We need to talk to her squadron, Captain Mitchell, and Admiral Bates,” he walked around his desk and grabbed his coffee. “DiNozzo, you’re with me.” “Gibbs, why are we looking into this? She’s only been UA a few hours, that’s not really enough to classify her as missing,” Ziva questioned. “My gut.”
As Gibbs and Tony got into the elevator, “McGee, I want a BOLO out for her vehicle.” “Yes, Boss.”
********
After flashing their badges to the gate they went into the training facility.
“How can I help you guys?” The secretary asked as he looked up from his computer. “Do you know where we can find Admiral Bates?” “He should be in his office, he’s expecting you.” Gibbs nodded and went down the hall.
He knocked and received a ‘come in’.
Gibbs walked in flashing his badge, “Admiral Bates? Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, NCIS. This is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo.” Warlock stood, “Glad you could make it here so soon. I know Captain Mitchell called it in, but he was ordered to start training as usual.” “Is he on the ground?” Warlock nodded, “Yes, as are the rest of the pilots. If you’ll follow me I can show you the way.”
As he led the way, they asked him questions. Like what Y/N was like, what her relationship was with her squad and her commanding officers. And Warlock had nothing but positive responses.
They entered the hangar seeing the pilots sitting casually, standing at attention when the Admiral entered the room.
“You may be seated.” Warlock gestured to the agents, “They are Special Agents Gibbs and DiNozzo. They’re from NCIS.”
Payback sat up with a furrowed brow, “NCIS? What happened?” Warlock sighed, “As you all know, Lieutenant Abbott did not report this morning. They’re here to ask you all some questions.”
Gibbs turned to Maverick, “Captain, I’d like to speak with you first.” “Of course, my office is this way.”
******
In Maverick’s office, Gibbs asked him questions about Y/N.
“You called this in very early, why?” Maverick sighed, “Med- Lieutenant Abbott, has never been UA and has barely ever called in sick. I’ve had to send her home a few times actually.” Tony nodded before asking his own question, “So, there is no possibility that she’s late?” “No, sir.”
Maverick sighed, “I just, I have this feeling that something’s very wrong. It’s in my gut, and my gut is usually right.” Tony and Gibbs shared a look, nodding.
“Is there anyone that might want to hurt her for any reason?” Tony asked. Pete shook his head, “Not that I know of. She’s loved by everyone on this squad and her past squads had nothing but nice things to say about her.” Gibbs sat up, “We need to personally talk with each of those pilots out there.” Mav nodded, “Of course, whatever you need.”
******
They spoke with Hangman first.
“What can you tell us about Lieutenant Abbott?” Gibbs asked. “She’s one of the best damn fighter pilots around. It’s an honor flying with her,” Jake answered honestly.
“You’ve flown with her for a while, nearly your whole career,” Tony pointed out. “Yes, sir. We were in another squadron together before being reassigned to this one.” Both nodded.
Gibbs glanced down at Y/N’s file. “She’s got a badass call sign. ‘Medusa’. Let me guess, you gave that to her?” Jake nodded, smiling at the memory, “I did.” “Why Medusa?” Jake chuckled, “Well, first she flies stone cold. If she ever gets hit on in a bar, the look she has could kill. She also loves mythology, it’s one of her hyperfixations.” He smiled as he remembered the last reason, “She’s got a sick Medusa tattoo on her thigh.”
Tony raised his brows, huffing in amusement.
Jake tensed at that, and Gibbs noticed, but didn’t mention it.
“You mentioned that she got hit on, do you think any of those guys would maybe try to hurt her because she rejected them?” DiNozzo asked. Hangman frowned a little, thinking, “No, most of them are usually drunk and just move on to the next girl.” “Were there any that didn’t move on?” He nodded, “A few, but they tend to move on when the rest of us size him up from across the room.”
“Has anything like that happened since you’ve been stationed here?” Gibbs asked. “No, mainly because she’s not too familiar with the area or the bars so she usually doesn’t go up to the bar alone.” “What about her stone cold stare?” Tony asked, a hint of mirth in his tone. “It still works, but some guys tend to take that as playing hard to get. So, one of us guys usually goes to the bar with her. If she needs to go to the bathroom, she goes with Phoenix or Halo.” They nodded, writing their notes down.
“What about her relationship with her backseater?” Jake chuckled, “Her and X-Ray are like brother and sister. She still visits him when she gets the chance.” Tony arched a quizzical eyebrow, “They’re still close?” He nodded, “The bond between pilot and wizzo is something else. When you’re in a plane together, your life rests entirely on the other person’s shoulders. They were a great team, I owe both of them my life.”
Gibbs nodded, “Seems like Lieutenant Abbott owes you her life as well. You’ve got two air-to-air kills, one of which was to save her life about 2 years ago.” Hangman nodded, “Yes sir. She was out of defense with no ammo, she had a bandit on her three o’clock.” “So, that’s when you swooped in and saved the day?” Tony asked, chuckling before cutting it off with a cough from a stare from Gibbs.
“Thank you Lieutenant Seresin, if we have more questions I need you to be available,” Gibbs said as they both stood. “Of course, sir,” Jake shook his hand, along with Tony’s before leaving.
********
The rest of the interviews went very similarly.
Everyone said basically the same thing. Medusa was never late, loved by every one of them, and had no known enemies. When at the bar no pursuers ever tried to follow her out.
While they didn’t get a lead to where she could be, they got an idea on who she is.
*******
As they drove back to NCIS, Gibbs’ phone rang.
“What ya got, McGee?” “Lieutenant Abbott’s vehicle was spotted in a ditch headed towards the air station. Sending the coordinates now,” McGee reports. “Ziva and I have already started that way.”
Tony nodded at Gibbs after checking his phone. Gibbs nodded back, “Okay, we’ll meet you and Ziva there.” He hung up and started driving to where Y/N’s car was spotted.
*******
They met up at the scene and began to process it.
“So, what are we looking at Boss?” DiNozzo asked as he photographed tire marks. “I’ll tell you when I know, DiNozzo.” “Right.”
Gibbs turned to Ducky, “Do you have a time of death, Ducky?” “Based on bruising, I’d say a day, maybe two.” They moved her body from the vehicle to the gurney to check her body temperature. “Her body temperature suggests the same.”
“How are we gonna tell the Dagger Squad?” Tony asked, watching Palmer wheel the gurney up to the truck. “How are we gonna tell her family?” “Her squadron is the only family she’s got, McGee,” Gibbs huffed and made his way back to the car.
*******
Jethro walked into autopsy, “You got a cause of death for me, Ducky?” Dr. Mallard went over to the x-rays, “Well, based on the bruising, and the position we found her in - Lieutenant Abbott died of asphyxiation. When she crashed into the tree, she was pinned by the steering wheel. Poor girl, her ribs were crushed and it could have taken hours for her to lose consciousness.” Gibbs turned to the autopsy table, walking over to the body on it.
He tilted his head as he looked at her face, squinting a little. “Did we get a positive ID on her?” “We found her ID, sir,” Palmer piped up. Gibbs just gave him a look before turning to Ducky, “Did we confirm that?” Ducky waved his finger, “I thought you were going to ask that, which is why I was going to suggest getting one of her colleagues to come up here to confirm.” “Why didn’t we just fingerprint her?”
Palmer came over, “We would have-” He turned her palm over, “Except she doesn’t have any.” Gibbs nodded, “Lieutenant Seresin mentioned she had a tattoo on her thigh. One of Medusa, said that’s how she got her call sign.”
Ducky nodded, “Ah! Yes, Medusa.” He moved the cloth of her leg, showing the tattoo there. “Beautiful work of art, truly.”
Gibbs’ phone rang, “Yeah Abbs?” “I think I’ve got something fishy with the Lieutenant’s car.” He nodded, “On my way.”
Ducky looked down at her body, “Call it a gut feeling my dear, but something about you just doesn’t line up.”
*******
Gibbs and Tony walked into the garage, “What you got Abby?”
The scientist popped up from behind the door. “Something that doesn’t line up.” He rose a brow, “And that is?” She enthusiastically waved him over.
“Look at the interior.” He did. “It’s covered in glass, Abbs.” “Exactly!” Tony laughed, “Abby, that’s normal for a crash.” Abby held up a finger, “But the lack of blood is not!”
Gibbs furrowed his brow and looked at the interior more closely.
There truly was not enough blood in that car for it to have been a proper crash. There was little blood on the air bag, the seat, the windows- anywhere blood would be, there was small amounts.
Gibbs looked at the crime scene photos, seeing the little amount of blood on her body.
“The lack of blood suggests-” “She was dead before the car hit the tree,” Gibbs said as he turned to walk to the elevator.
Abby quickly followed him, “Gibbs wait!” “What?” She smiled at his expectant expression. “I was checking the brake pedal and I found this,” she held up an evidence jar. He sighed and grabbed the jar, shaking it a little, “What is this?” She took it back, “I’m thinking it’s cinder block. I’m gonna run tests to be sure, and on the trace amounts of blood as well.”
Gibbs smiled, “Good work, Abby.”
*****
Gibbs walked into the squad room the next day, he really hadn’t left the building, going over every detail he could find on Lieutenant Abbott. Also staying for the autopsy of her body, learning that she had in fact died somewhere else two days prior to the day she was found. And results from the residue found in the floorboard were confirmed to be cinder block
He was still waiting on the results of the blood analysis.
As if on cue, his phone rang. “Gibbs.” “The blood results came back and you won’t believe-” That’s all he needed before he hung up and went to the elevator.
*******
Walking in with a Caf-POW, Gibbs went over to Abby at her lab computer.
“Tell me something, Abbs,” he said, sitting the drink down. “I can do better than that.”
She pulled up the blood test, both from the body and what she pulled off the airbag. “These blood samples don’t match.” Gibbs furrowed his brow, “So there was someone else in the car?” Abby shook her head, “Nope. This blood-” She held up a vile taken from the body. “Does not match this blood.” She held up the swab Ducky took from where Medusa’s nose bled. “When I ran a test on this swab, I couldn’t find a match. So, I requested this.”
Abby took a breath, allowing Gibbs to ask questions. “So whose blood is this?” “I’m glad you asked.” She pulled up another test, showing a positive match. “What is this?” “When I learned the blood pulled off the Lieutenant’s skin didn’t match what was taken out of her body, I ran what I found on the airbag against both. What was found on the airbag matches what was taken off her skin.”
Gibbs nodded, “Do we have any idea on whose blood that is?” “Not who,” Abby smirked, turning to her evidence table. “Animal?” “Nope.” Gibbs exhaled impatiently, “Then what is it, Abby?”
“Based on the theory we had about her being dead before the crash, I tested the blood for red dye. And I found that both samples, the ones taken from both the air bag and her skin, contained Red Dye 40.” “That’s food coloring.” Abby nodded, “Yup! The blood in the vehicle is fake. Our Lieutenant was murdered before the crash.” Gibbs kissed her cheek, “Good work, Abbs.”
*******
“McGee, go get Lieutenant Seresin. Bring him in for questioning, but don’t tell him why,” Gibbs said as he walked around his desk.
Tim stood up, “Uh, but do I get to know why we’re bringing him in?” Gibbs looked up at him, “Because Lieutenant Abbott was murdered.”
*****
Hangman sat in interrogation, toothpick in his mouth as he tapped on the table.
Gibbs walked in and Jake looked up, taking the pick out of his mouth. “Lieutenant Seresin,” Gibbs nodded to him. “Agent Gibbs,” Jake nodded back.
It was silent for a moment, Hangman waiting for the agent to speak.
“When did you last see Medusa, Hangman?” Gibbs looked up from the file on the table. “Sunday night, around 2200, sir.” “That’s late, you both weren’t in your dorms?” Jake shook his head, “No sir. The squad went out to the bar that night, sir. Y/N and I went to our rental on base at 2130.” “You lived together?” Hangman nodded, “Yes, sir. We’re dating, sir.”
Gibbs leaned on the table, “Dating?”
“Yes sir.” “Was this not an issue with you being in the same squadron?” “We were dating before joining the Navy, sir. Grew up together.” “And you aren’t married yet?” Jake exhaled through his nose, his jaw clenching a little.
Gibbs smirked a little as he watched Hangman’s eyes fall to the table. “What happened Sunday night? Did you and Y/N get into a fight that night?” Jake swallowed, looking Gibbs in the eye, “Yes sir.” “About what?”
“A girl at the bar had flirted with me-” “Did you flirt back?” Jake looked at Gibbs incredulously, “Of course not.” “Then why did you fight with Medusa?” Jake rubbed his face, “When I turned the girl down, she laid it on thicker. Y/N claimed her territory.” Gibbs nodded and began writing, “I assume you left after that?” He nodded, “Yes sir.”
“What happened when you got home, Lieutenant?” Jake sniffed and rubbed his nose, “Medusa was giving me the cold shoulder, which I’m not entirely surprised about. I tried to get her to talk and when she did, it escalated. And she asked me a question, one that I hesitated to answer.” “Was the question,” Gibbs played with his pen. “When you were gonna marry her?”
Hangman nodded, “Yes sir. She said she was tired of having to show ‘barrack bunnies’ that I’m taken. That if we were married, it’d stop them. I told her a ring doesn’t stop them, if anything they try harder… Then she asked if I ever planned on marrying her, and I hesitated.” “That’s when she left?” “Stormed out the door and left. I needed to talk about it, so I called my buddy Rooster and he came by. He stayed over because I wasn’t sure if Medusa was going to stay with Phoenix or not. She didn’t come home or show up on base.”
Gibbs cleared his throat, “She didn’t come home because she was in a car accident, ran off the road and smashed into a tree.”
He could see Jake’s heart plummet as the words left his mouth. “Is-is she okay?” Gibbs shook his head, hesitating to pull out the photos but laid them out anyway, “I’m sorry, Lieutenant. She was found dead in the driver’s seat.” Jake looked down at the photos and covered his mouth, “Is she here?” Gibbs nodded, “She’s in autopsy.” “Can I see her? Please?”
******
Tony and Ziva watched the interrogation through the glass.
“Do you think he’s telling the truth?” He asked, looking down at Ziva. “About seeing her Sunday night?” She looked up at DiNozzo, laughing a little, “Or that they were a couple?” He scoffed, “I know that’s a lie. Dating for nearly 15 years and they aren’t married, there’s no way.”
Ziva looked back and saw how torn up Jake looked. She sobered up, “I think he’s telling the truth. Gibbs does too.”
******
Gibbs took Jake to autopsy, “Ducky, I’ve got a second opinion to confirm Lieutenant Abbott’s ID.”
“Oh, who might this charming young man be?” Ducky asked, walking up to Jake. Hangman held his hand out, “Lieutenant Jake Seresin, you can call me Hangman.” Ducky smiled and shook his hand, “Doctor Mallard, everyone calls me Ducky.” Jake couldn’t help but chuckle, “I think you’d like my friend.” “Is he also a medical examiner?” Hangman shook his head, chuckling, “No, he’s also a bird.”
Gibbs smirked from behind his coffee, before following Ducky and Hangman.
“I must warn you, Lieutenant, the crash made matching her to her ID through facial recognition difficult.” Ducky pinched the cloth in his fingers, waiting for Jake’s confirmation that this is what he wanted. “Please, Doctor Mallard.”
Ducky moved the sheet, exposing her face. Jake inhaled sharply, hesitantly reaching out, pausing. “You may touch her, Jacob.” Jake ran his index finger along the side of her face. “Oh, Sugar… I’m so sorry..”
Both Ducky and Gibbs watch tears fill Jake’s eyes before he furrows his brows. “What’s wrong Jake?” Gibbs asked, tilting his chin up. “It’s just- Y/N has a scar. Right here,” Hangman used his pinky to trace a line from just below her cheek bone to a spot on her neck. “She got it last year. She tried to break up a bar fight and got grazed by a broken bottle.” “Are you sure it hasn’t faded?” Jake shook his head, pulling out his phone, finding a photo from Sunday night before the fight.
He gave it to Ducky, who zoomed in on the photo, seeing the scar in the exact place it was supposed to be.
“Can you show me her tattoos?” Gibbs arched a brow, “Tattoos?” He looked at Ducky, “Why didn’t you say she had more than one?” “Because we only had one to go off of.” Gibbs nodded, “Yeah, the important one!”
Jake arched a brow, looking between the two before Ducky smirked and turned back to him and lifted the sheet. Jake’s eyes scanned her body, matching every tattoo to the ones he had committed to memory. He shuddered, covering his mouth, “It’s her.”
Gibbs inhaled through his nose, shoulders rising a little before he exhaled. “Lieutenant, can anyone confirm that Lieutenant Abbott was at the bar on Sunday?” Jake’s eyes shot up to the marine, “I don’t understand, you said this was a car accident.” “Answer the question, Hangman.” Jake stood straight at the tone Gibbs had, “The Dagger Squad, or the bartender at the Siren’s Cave, sir.”
******
Ziva and Tony headed to the air station to talk to the squad and McGee went to the bar to get surveillance.
“Lieutenant Machado, can you confirm that Lieutenants Seresin and Abbott were at the Siren’s Cave Sunday night?” Ziva asked, sitting across from Coyote. “Yeah, Medusa beat me twice at 9-ball.”
“Lieutenant Bradshaw, Lieutenant Seresin said that he called you to come over after the fight he had with Lieutenant Abbott. Did you pass her on your way to their home?” Tony asked Rooster. “Yeah, she passed the bar as I was leaving.”
Tony called Gibbs to relay the information.
******
Gibbs opened the interrogation room door.
“Everyone confirmed seeing you both at the bar on Sunday night. Lieutenant Bradshaw confirmed that he saw her on his way to your house. You can go.” Jake stood up, “Can I get her tags, sir?” Gibbs nodded and jerked his head for Hangman to follow him.
They went down to Abby’s lab.
“Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs!” Abby came over, startling Jake a little. She paused, noticing him, “Hi, I’m Abby, forensic scientist.” He smiled, “Lieutenant Jake Seresin, friends call me Hangman.” “Oooh, a pilot- wait, you’re…” She trailed off as she realized who Jake was.
She hugged him, “Oh, I’m so sorry.” Jake glanced at Gibbs, who was smiling at him and shrugging, before hugging her back. “Thank you, Abby.”
When she pulled away she looked at Gibbs, waiting for him to speak. “If you’ve processed them, I need Lieutenant Abbott’s dog tags out of evidence and given to Lieutenant Seresin,” Gibbs told her. Abby frowned, “I’m sorry, I can’t do that.” Jake swallowed and nodded, “I understand if you need to keep them for any reason. I just-” “No!” Abby cut him off. “No, it’s not that I still need them. I don’t have them.” Jake tilted his head, “That can't be right, we never take them off.”
“Abby, I’ll be back. Lieutenant, I need to talk to you.” Gibbs ushered Jake out of Abby’s lab and to the elevator.
“Agent Gibbs, there’s something you’re not telling me. Was my wingman murdered?” Jake hissed as soon as the doors closed. Gibbs pressed the button for the squad room, sighing as he looked at Jake and stopped the elevator, “The body in autopsy is three days old. Y/N left your house on Sunday night.” Jake’s jaw slacked, “There’s a chance she’s alive?” Gibbs clenched his jaw, “Yeah. So I want to know who went through all the trouble to find a damn near perfect body double and replicate her tattoos to make it look like she died, and I wanna know why.”
******
Your head stayed down when the door opened.
“Oh come on, Y/N.” The cold metal of the blade under your chin made you raise your head. “There she is.”
*******
“Is there anyone in Y/N’s past that would want to hurt her?” Jake shook his head, chewing a toothpick as he paced through the squad room, “I don’t know.” “Come on, Hangman, think.” Jake clenched his jaw so hard he broke his toothpick, “I’m sorry if I can’t think of a single person that would have it out for the sweetest woman on the damn planet, Agent DiNozzo!”
Gibbs' phone rang, “Gibbs.” “I’ve got something!” He hung up and stood, “Abby’s lab now.”
Everyone, including Jake, went to Abby’s lab.
“Show me what you got Abbs.” She grinned at him and turned to her computer. “Just to be thorough, I found the Facebook pages of the tattoo shops Medusa got her tattoos at. I found the posts where she tagged them, and matched them with the photos taken in autopsy of her tattoos. And-” The team watched on the plasma as the photos layered over one another. “They don’t line up,” McGee finished for Abby.
“I also called the tattoo shops and learned they all use different ink. And all of the tattoos on our Jane Doe use the same ink.” “So this just further proves the fact that that body isn’t Lieutenant Abbott.” “Yes, but the fact it’s all the same ink means it’s easier to trace, Boss,” McGee spoke up.
Gibbs nodded and moved to leave, “Well, trace it McGee!” “I already did, Boss.” Gibbs stopped and turned, finding a smiling Probie.
He tossed his arms to the side, “Are you wanting a microphone?” Tim shook his head, “Sorry, Boss. First, Abby found the brand of ink, and then I was able to find where it’s sold. Turns out you can find it on Amazon, along with a tattoo machine. Ducky also noticed that, upon closer inspection, that the tattoos were in the healing stage. So I narrowed the search to purchases made two weeks ago and delivered to addresses in Virginia.”
McGee turned back to his computer, and everyone went to the plasma.
“Both were delivered to a: Hannah Nicholson.” Gibbs turned to Jake, “Lieutenant, does that name sound familiar to you?” Hangman shook his head, “No, never heard of her.”
Abby came up, “No, but you’ve seen her.” She clicked her remote and someone that looked similar to you was pulled up. “Hannah Nicholson is our Jane Doe.”
*******
You gritted your teeth as a slap was delivered to your face.
“When I’m done with you, your career will be over. You’ll never be in the sky again.” You laughed, like actually laughed, “You can’t be serious. Ruin my career? I’m a part of the best of the best, you could never keep me-” You grunted as he punched you in the gut.
The man squatted to be eye level with you, “Don’t get smart now, Y/N.” “Well, you could definitely benefit from getting smart. Don’t you think? You fake my death with a car accident and then send a video to NCIS of you with me, very much alive?” You arched a brow at him, “Not very smart-” He cut you off with a punch to the face, sending your chair, and you, to the floor.
*******
The next day while Jake was on base, he got an email sent to his phone. When he checked it and saw it was a video with you tied to a chair as a thumbnail.
“Maverick,” Jake didn’t hesitate to burst into his Captain’s office, not caring who may be in there. “Lieutenant-” “I need you to take me to NCIS.” (Jake was shaking too much to drive himself) Maverick stood, glancing at Warlock for a moment, “Why, Hangman?” Jake just turned his phone around and showed him the email.
Both Mav and Warlock looked at the phone. “Go, Captain, I’ll take over training for today.”
******
When they arrived, Jake had no hesitation to go right up to the squadroom.
“Lieutenant Seresin? What are you doing here?” McGee asked, being the first to see him. “Where’s Agent Gibbs?” Tony spun in his chair to get up, “Coffee run.”
He walked up to Hangman, “As senior field agent, I’d be more than happy to help.” Jake chuckled, tapping his palm with his phone, not really in the mood for putting up with Tony’s arrogance. “I’d prefer to speak to Agent Gibbs.” “Well, like I said, he’s not here. And I’m much better at-”
“At what, DiNozzo?” Gibbs said, standing next to the agent and the pilot as he sipped his coffee.
Tony stuttered to respond, making Jake smirk a little. “Have you ID’d the man Hannah met online?” “Not yet, boss.” “Then why are you standing here?” “Well, I was- uh- I was just- I’ll get right on that boss.”
Hangman and Maverick shared a look, before Gibbs spoke to them. “Lieutenant Seresin, I take it you have something for me?”
*******
“Well, you could definitely benefit from getting smart. Don’t you think? You fake my death with a car accident-”
“God, Medusa, stop talking…” Jake mumbled to himself. The group winced when you got punched in the face and your chair fell over.
Gibbs grunted a little, “Get this video to Abby. I want her to analyze every frame of that video. And who sent it to Lieutenant Seresin.” “On it, Boss,” McGee said, emailing it and then following his email.
Jake rubbed his face and sat down. He threw his head back and bit his lip. Maverick knelt down in front of him, “Hangman?”
Jake sniffed and looked down at his captain. “What is she thinkin’, Mav? Antagonizing him like that? That’s not how we were trained to handle situations like this.” “She’s not thinking, she’s just doing.” Jake scoffed, “As comforting as I assume that was supposed to be, it’s not even remotely easing my nerves.”
Ziva perked up, “Wait, what if she wasn’t taken because of the mission?” Tony nodded, “That would explain why she’s being so sassy. It’s not intel, it’s revenge”
*******
“Agent Gibbs!”
The crowd turned to the voice, seeing Director Vance upstairs. “SecNav would like to speak to you. MTAC now.”
As Gibbs made the stairs Vance noticed the two khaki uniforms in the squadroom, but simply nodded at them as they walked into MTAC.
“Agent Gibbs.” “Mister Secretary.” “One of the best naval aviators that just flew a high profile mission is missing. I was told you were on the case.” Gibbs nodded, “Yeah.” “Do you have any leads?” “No.” “Agent Gibbs, you do understand that if anything about that-” “He doesn’t care about the mission. He only cares about Lieutenant Abbott. It’s personal for him.” “So you know who he is?” Gibbs shook his head, “No, but based on the video sent to Lieutenant Seresin, he hasn’t asked any questions related to any mission.” SecNav nodded, “Okay. But Gibbs?” The marine raised a brow. “Get her back, the Navy needs her.”
*******
“You know, you ruined my life that day,” the masked man said as he played with his knife.
Your head lolled to the side, your exhaustion from the beatings taking a toll on you now. “What are you talking about?” “Do you not remember me?” He stood and you gritted your teeth as you forced your head up to look him in the eye. “Obviously not. Should I?” You winced as he pressed into a cut on your shoulder.
“Yeah, you should.” He pulled off his mask to reveal a face you haven’t seen since he got kicked out of the Academy.
“C-”
********
“Cole Cooke,” McGee said, pulling up Cooke’s old Naval Academy file. “Abby was able to find him because the email he used to send the video to Hangman, he used on an online dating site where he met Hannah.” Jake stood up, “Wait, Cooke?” The team parted to let him get a closer look.
The pilot's face morphed into anger.
Anger that the marine recognized.
“What’d he do, Lieutenant?” Jake had fire in his eyes when he looked at Gibbs. “He sexually assaulted her and three other girls. Y/N’s the one that reported him.” Tim nodded, “And that’s what got him kicked out of the Naval Academy and blacklisted from the military.” “He wasn’t arrested?” Jake clenched his jaw, “He was, but he got out on good behavior.”
Jake’s phone went off with a notification, an email to be more accurate.
He dropped it onto McGee’s desk. “I don’t understand, why would he send these to me?” “You’re her boyfriend, Lieutenant, this can just be another form of revenge. He wants to get back at her for reporting him and, in turn, ruining his chances at a military career,” Ziva said, crossing her arms as McGee transferred the videos.
“He ruined his career all on his own, Agent David. Y/N just got a scumbag out of the service,” Jake huffed rubbing his forehead. “Nobody liked him, he was cocky. Always thought he was better than he is.” Tony chuckled, “Isn’t that the main trait of a naval aviator?”
“They have something to back it up with, DiNozzo,” Gibbs said. “The only thing Cooke has to back him up is a record of being a dirtbag.”
He looked at McGee, “Play it.”
You looked worse than before and Jake felt sick to his stomach. “Oh my god.”
They watched him squat in front of you, twirling the knife he just cut you with in his hand. Jake’s jaw was clenched as he watched your head fall to the side as slow breaths made your chest move.
“You know, you ruined my life that day,” Cooke said. Your face scrunched in pain as you took a deep breath, “What are you talking about?” Cole stood and tipped your head back with a harsh grip on your chin, “Do you not remember me?” You scoffed, “Obviously not. Should I?” He moved the hand holding your chin to press into the cut he had just placed here, making you wince. “Yeah, you should,” he ripped his mask off.
The look on your face Jake had only seen one other time and it was when you came to his dorm crying.
********
The banging pulled Jake from his book.
“Hold your horses!” He pulled the door open, coming face to face with you crying and looking absolutely terrified. “Sugar what’s wrong?”
Your hands were shaking as you showed him your knuckles, bruised and cut up.
“I-I didn’t want– I told him I had a boyfriend- Ja-ake,” you broke down outside his door. “Hey, hey, I got you. You’re safe now.” You swallowed, “Jake, I need to go to the superintendent-the dean-someone.”
He pulled you into his room to get you out of the prying eyes of other midshipmen. “Why? I need you to-” He finally took in your appearance, you were wearing a disheveled USNA t-shirt and athletic shorts. Bruises were forming on your wrist and your eye and lip. “What the fuck happened to you?”
“You remember last semester when those two girls dropped out for no reason?” He nodded, “Yeah, the two freshman girls right?” You nodded, swallowing another wave of tears away. “I found out why…” Jake searched your eyes, “Why, Y/N?”
*****
“Cole Cooke…”
Jake was brought back to the present by your voice.
Cole laughed, pushing your shoulder, “That’s right, Y/N. Cole Cooke, the man’s who military career you ruined.” It was your turn to laugh, “Me? Ruin your career? You assaulted me! And those two first years! They quit because they were scared of you! Scared because you threatened to kill them if they told anyone!”
He punched you, sending you falling back. He grabbed you by the rope under your breast. “And you’re not scared that I’ll do the same to you now?”
You held your head up to look at him, blood pouring from your nose. “I would lie and say ‘no’. But guess what?” “What?” He spat through gritted teeth. You smiled with blood stained teeth, “I put you in jail once. It’s almost poetic that I’d do it again. Except this time, there won’t be a chance you’ll make it out.”
Cole growled and they all noticed his posture change, “Let’s play a game, Lieutenant.” You shifted forward to get in his face, gaze stone cold, “What do you suggest, Cooke?” The team could feel the venom dripping off your tone. “Hangman.”
The video stopped on the frame of your face falling once again to show fear, and the team turned to face the pilot who looked equally worried and pissed.
*****
You were hanging from the ceiling, your chin resting against your chest.
The door to the room you were in opened. You whimpered just a little when he brushed his fingers against your bruised ribs, “You didn’t hurt him, did you? Please… You can do whatever you want to me, but please leave Jake out of this…”
Cole hummed in your ear, “Anything I want, hmmm?” You glanced at the camera, before looking at the ground shamefully. A shaky and timid ‘yes’ fell from your lips. He let out an amused huff before his hands ran over your shirtless torso.
*****
Jake felt bile rise up his throat when you looked down in shame.
“What’s he gonna do to her?” McGee asked. Gibbs frowned, “What he tried to do 12 years ago.”
The anger and disgust rolled off the agents as Cooke’s hands ran down your body. When he got to your breast you jerked away out of reflex, earning a pull to your hair which made you cry out.
You were getting weaker by the hour and the team could tell. Jake could tell, and he hated it.
“You know, you only had the one tattoo at the academy,” he said, groping at the inked flesh of your thigh. Jake watched your lip quiver and you inhaled as best you could with your position. “I also found your back, extremely enticing,” Cooke ran his hand down your back. You gritted your teeth and looked behind you at him, “Is that because you’re too much of a coward to attack women from the front?”
That must have really pissed him off because he came around and started to punch you.
Jake stood up hastily and made a beeline to the elevator, “I can’t watch this anymore.”
Tony jogged after him, “Lieutenant Seresin! Hangman-” The doors closed when he got to them.
******
Jake just needed to get away and he was going to Abby’s lab.
When he stopped on her floor, he moved quickly to her lab but nearly ran into Ducky in the process. “I’m sorry, Doctor.” “In a hurry, Jacob?” Hangman chuckled nervously, “Yeah.” “Needed a breather, my boy?” “Sir?” “I saw the videos as Abby was analyzing them.”
Jake felt bile rise again and this time he couldn’t stop it. Ducky noticed and quickly helped him get to a trash can.
“Let’s get you someplace cooler,” Ducky ushered Jake back to the elevator.
******
Jake sat on one of the metal tables in Autopsy.
His khaki uniform shirt was neatly folded next to him as he sipped his water. “Thank you, Ducky.” The doctor nodded, “Of course. It can’t be easy, seeing the one you love like that.” Jake coughed a little, trying to force the emotion out of his throat, “It’s not.”
Ducky watched his eyes fall to his shoes, he could tell he felt guilty. “It’s not your fault, Lieutenant.” “I hesitated, Ducky. And since I hesi-” His voice cracked, tears finally slipping past his lids. “Since I hesitated she's having to relive the worst day of her life.”
Jake set the bottle down and used his white undershirt to wipe his eyes, “How long have you been together?” “Over 15 years…” Ducky nodded in understanding, “High school sweethearts.” Jake huffed out a laugh, “Childhood friends to high school sweethearts to USNA sweethearts.”
“Forgive me if I’m overstepping, but why aren’t you married?” Jake shrugged, “I don’t know. I guess it’s because we were already acting like a married couple, just without the license and the rings. I never thought about it.” Jake laughed and shook his head.
It was silent for a moment.
“She asked me if I was ever gonna marry her, and I hesitated. It was a question she asks me all the time, but this was the only time it was during a fight. It was the only time that my answer really mattered. And I hesitated… She left and was in a vulnerable enough state to let herself get taken.”
Ducky leaned on the table next to Jake, “Cooke was going to get to her one way or another.” “But I led her right to him.”
Jake looked at the doctor next to him, allowing Ducky to see how broken and tired he was. “I’m scared, Doctor Mallard.” “That’s perfectly normal, Jacob.” “I'm a damn fighter pilot, I’m supposed to be level headed, and right now… my head doesn’t even feel like it’s on my damn shoulders.”
“It’s normal to feel like that, Jake,” Gibbs said, leaning on the doorframe.
He walked over to the pilot, “She’s strong. She’s gonna fight to get back to you.” Jake rose a brow, sniffling as wiped his eyes, “Did you see her, Agent Gibbs? He was using her like a punching bag…” “She will make it out of this.” “How do you know?” “My gut.”
That was oddly comforting to Jake.
“Do you know the mythology behind Medusa?” Ducky inquired after a beat of silence. Jake chuckled again, remembering the nights throughout your lives that you would stay up and talk about mythology of all sorts for fun. Sometimes when he was having trouble sleeping, you’d tell him the story of some hero in mythology and he’d fall right asleep.
He sighed, “We’ve stayed up hours talking about mythology. But if I’m honest, I never really heard the words she said…” Both men knew what Jake was getting at; he was listening to your voice and watching your expressions as you told the stories.
Ducky just smiled, “Medusa was a priestess for Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war strategy, and had sworn celibacy. However, Medusa had gained the attention of Poseidon, and they-” “Had sex in Athena’s temple,” Jake said as he sipped his water. “That much I remember.” Both Gibbs and Ducky laughed a little at that.
“When Athena found out, she punished Medusa for breaking her celibacy by turning her into a ‘beast’ with the ability to turn men to stone.” Jake nodded, “Yeah, Y/N has the tendency to do that, whether it be with fear or with her beauty.” Jake couldn’t help but smile at the memory of him seeing you on prom night for the first time, he froze on your parents doorstep.
Ducky and Gibbs smiled as they saw the look in Jake’s eyes as he thought about you.
“She was killed by the hero Perseus, beheaded. Then her head was then used to protect those who had it in their possession. The image of her head was used on shields, breast plates, and more recently, tattoos.” Jake remembered you mentioning that as he held your hand as you got it, “She mentioned that when she got it. She was getting it because she thought it looked cool, makes her feel powerful; but she likes the extra meaning.”
Ducky rested a hand on Jake’s shoulder, “I know it may not look like it, but she is protecting herself.” Jake took in a deep breath and nodded.
********
They walked back into the squad room, the group sitting at their desks and making conversation.
“Go home,” Gibbs told them.
It was late. They’d been out all day talking to Cooke’s neighbors, his parents, his boss and coworkers. And the last video was sent just after sundown.
They were tired.
“But we haven’t found-” “I know that, Ziva.” McGee spoke up, “Abby’s trying to analyze the room she is in so we know what to look for. I tried to triangulate where he sent the emails from, but he was using public wifi at an internet cafe.” “We have no direction to go, Boss,” Tony said, not being able to look at Jake.
Gibbs turned to DiNozzo, “Which is why I’m telling you to go home. Get some rest.” Ziva inhaled through her nose and interlocked her hands, “Gibbs, we don’t know what Cooke is going to do next. We have zero time to waste.” “If Cooke wanted her dead, he would have killed her already,” Jake said, jaw clenched with his eyes trained on the floor. “Believe me, I’m worried. Hell, I’m terrified out of my mind right now.-”
“But we can’t make progress without leads. Cooke lives in a studio apartment, his parents disowned him, and he’s not shown up to work in days, we don’t have anything,” Gibbs said, frustration in his tone. “Go home, get some sleep.” His team begrudgingly got their things, all avoiding Jake’s eyes.
“You should get some sleep too, Lieutenant.” Jake chuckled dryly as he shook his head, “I don’t think I can, sir.” He ran his thumbs along the khaki of his uniform.
Plus Maverick had left, needing to be back on base. The only way Jake was getting back to base was by cab. Maverick also gave him as much time off as he needed.
“But- uh, I better head back to base though.” “In what, Lieutenant?” Jake shrugged, “A cab, I guess.” Gibbs shook his head, “Stay with me, Jake. It’s late. And I doubt you want to be in that house right now.” Hangman looked down at the floor, huffing out his nose and tonguing his lip.
“I know how you feel.” Jake looked up, green eyes swimming with curiosity as his brows pinched together. “When I was in Desert Storm, I was informed that my wife and daughter were dead. It was hard to even walk into my house, let alone sleep there.” Jake’s eyes widened slightly and he swallowed as his jaw ticked, “I’m sorry, sir. I can’t imagine what that must have felt like…” Gibbs nodded, “And I hope you never have to.” He patted Jake's shoulder, “Come on.”
******
Gibbs gave Jake a pair of sweats to change into.
They went to his basement, neither being able to sleep.
“So, you’re a Marine?” Jake asked, sipping his bourbon. “What gave it away?” Gibbs asked, smiling a little bit as he sanded the wood of the boat. “Other than you being in Desert Storm?” Gibbs turned, wiping his hands on a damp towel, nodding. “Everything.”
The marine let out a breathy, amused chuckle. “You know a lot of marines?” “I was raised by one. My father retired when I was 4 as a Sergeant, he was 38.” Gibbs sipped his bourbon, “Why’d he retire?” “Wanted to be there for us. He had a close call, he didn’t want to risk not coming home to us. His 20 years were up, so he retired.”
Gibbs nodded, looking at the boat before looking back at Jake. “You wanna help?” Jake looked up from his glass and between the boat and Gibbs. “Sure, yeah.” He downed what was left and Gibbs gave him a sander.
*******
Since Jake didn’t need to report to base, he just freshened up and Gibbs took him by the base rental to get some clothes.
He had forgotten his keys in his locker and had to call someone to bring them to him at the house. That someone was Rooster.
Jake got out of Gibb’s car and saw Bradley on the porch. He was sitting on the bench, one fist held by the other as he looked at the ground. Maverick had gotten permission to relay what had happened to you to the squad, and everyone had taken it hard.
Rooster looked up when Hangman shut his car door.
They immediately met in a hug. “I’m so sorry, Jake.” “I’m scared, Rooster. I didn’t even-” Bradley pulled back and held Jake by the shoulders, “Hey, they’re gonna find her. Say it to her then.”
Gibbs came up beside them, nodding at Rooster before they went inside.
Jake didn’t want to be there longer than he needed to be so once it was opened, he booked it to the bedroom.
Bradley and Gibbs stood at the island in the kitchen. “They didn’t decorate much.” Rooster shrugged, looking around, “We aren’t here for long. They didn’t see the need to bring a whole lot.” “If you aren’t here for long, then why’d they rent the house?” Rooster chuckled, “They wanted their privacy.” Gibbs chuckled and glanced at his watch.
Hangman was taking longer than he said.
Gibbs went down the hall and found Jake sitting on the side of the bed. He had changed into a pair of his own sweatpants and a green t-shirt. Jethro knew what he was looking at, even with his back to him and from the door.
“Ask her.”
Jake chuckled humorlessly, “After this…” He shook his head, “I doubt she'll say yes.” “Ah, I don’t know about that.” Hangman sniffled, “I messed up…” Gibbs nodded, moving to sit next to him. “Yeah, you did, big time.” Jake shook his head.
“But this is how you fix it.” Gibbs pointed to the ring box. Jake swallowed, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand, “I wanted to wait, ask her on my family's ranch where we had danced in my headlights to George Strait. I had this big plan. Just a private thing, but special…” “Plans change. Sometimes you have to adapt.” “Yeah.” “So ask her.”
Jake turned and looked at him, nodding at him. He stood from the bed and slid the box into his pocket. He grabbed the small stack of clothes next him and they left.
“Agent Gibbs?” Gibbs and Jake looked over at where Bradley was at his Bronco. “When you find her, give us a call?” The agent nodded, “Yeah, I’ll give ya a call.”
*******
When Jake and Gibbs got to NCIS, nothing had changed yet.
No new video. Abby was still working on room measurements, and no one had seen Cole.
Until McGee’s computer went off. Everyone’s head turned, and Jake felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. “It’s Cooke.” “Pull the video up McGee.”
You were still hanging from the ceiling, Cole running his hands over your torso.
The camera was a little closer, and it showed the tear tracks on your face.
“You know,” you spoke, voice shaky and raw. “I’m gonna need a drink after this. Yeah, whiskey sounds really nice.” Cole just grunted and pulled you back against him. You whimpered a little bit, definitely feeling gross because of what was happening. “Or an Oscar. Maybe two.”
“The hell’s an oscar?” Tony asked out of reflex, glancing at Jake, but he was just as confused.
Cole grunted into your neck, “Shut up.” “Have you ever been to the delta?” He stayed silent but reached over to yank the rope and pull you up higher. You swallowed, glancing at the camera, “Me either, but I’ve been to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I went there with Hangman on a weekend getaway after a rough deployment. My uncle has a cabin up there. God, that weekend was so fun. I love Jake, I love him so much…” You kept your eyes on the camera to make sure that Jake knew that you’d love him. The video stopped just as Cooke pulled your hair back, making you yelp.
Jake cleared his throat, nodded, “Yeah, that weekend was fun… Wait, we didn't go to the Sierras; we weren’t even in California, we were in Arkansas.” Gibbs caught Jake’s eyes and that’s when they realized it.
“She’s using phonetics!”
The team's eyes grew wide in realization. “Whiskey, Oscar, Delta, Sierra,” McGee repeated. “W O D S?” Ziva spelled it out. “She said two oscars,” Tony pointed out.
“She’s in the woods,” Gibbs finished for them. Jake thought back to what you said, “She put emphasis on ‘cabin’.” “DiNozzo, check to see if Cooke’s parents owned or still own a cabin.” “On it Boss.”
His phone rang, “Yeah, Gibbs.” “Gibbs, I ran the measurement of the room. She seems to be in a cabin. Based on the dimensions it’s a family cabin, probably two or three bedrooms.”
“Boss, it seems Cooke’s parents own a lot of cabins,” Tony said just as Gibbs picked up his phone. “Did you narrow it down to Virginia?” McGee asked, brow arched. “Yes, McGeek, I did. Mr. Cooke owns two hunting cabins and a-” “Family cabin, two or three bedrooms,” Gibbs cut in.
“Yeah, they haven’t used it in years. It’s in Fletcher State Park.” Gibbs got up, “Get your gear, let’s go.” Jake watched them all grab their things.
“Agent David,” he called out before she got too far. “Yes, Lieutenant?” Jake grabbed the clothes he brought. “Here,” he held them out. “She’s in nothing but a bra and underwear, give her these.” Ziva hesitated to take it. “Please.” She heard the desperation in his voice and took them.
She went over to Tony and Tim. “You know, despite the odds, we may not-” “We will find her alive,” she glanced at the fabrics in her hands. “We have to.”
*******
You yanked down on the rope, crying out a little at the pain in your dislocated shoulder. You had honestly been scared of losing feeling in your hands, but he gave you a bit of a break when he was finished hurting you for the day and left you locked in one of the bedroom closets.
Your toes barely scraped the ground and the rope wasn’t going anywhere. You shivered in the cold damp air of the cabin. Only being in your underwear, the chill soaked into your bones. You were certain that if you didn’t die of whatever Cooke was doing to you, you might die from the cold.
Hearing tires outside the cabin, your heart sped up. You could only huff out small breaths as you heard footsteps outside the door on the porch.
It was his routine to get you set up for his next sick video, film it, and then leave to send it. You’d calculated the time it took for him to get back and it was getting close for time to him to be back.
But then there was banging on the door, followed by a gruff voice yelling, “NCIS!”
Your entire body relaxed. You were safe.
“I’m in here! Help me!” You called back, coughing a little.
The door frame splintered when the door was kicked in. “Lieutenant Abbott?” The agent asked, pistol drawn as he walked over to you.“Yes,” you breathed out. “Where’s Cooke?” You shook your head, “I don’t know but he’ll be back soon.”
“Please get me down from here. It’s hard to breathe,” you begged, tears of relief falling down your cheeks. You jerked your neck towards where Cole had secured the rope, “Ease me down, please.”
McGee was quick to loosen the rope and Ziva helped steady you once your feet were on the ground. “Can you walk?” She asked, gently placing her hand on your sternum. “I think so. I might need a little help.” The agent simply nodded and helped you outside.
Once you were outside the uneven ground and rocks caused you to stumble. Tim moved to help Ziva steady you but he jostled your dislocated shoulder. “Shit!” McGee looked panicked, “What’s wrong?” You gritted your teeth, “My shoulder, it’s dislocated. I tried to break the rope and pulled it out.”
You chuckled a little at his expression, “Hurt like a bitch. Can either of you pop it back in?” Ziva nodded and leaned you against the car. She got a proper grip and looked at you, “Ready?” You swallowed and nodded. She exaggerated a few breaths and when you matched she popped it back in.
“Holy shit! Sweet baby Jesus..”
You pushed off the car and threw up; all the pain catching up to you with the adrenaline rush. Ziva came up and held your hair out of your face.
Spitting out the last of the saliva in your mouth, you thanked her under your breath.
A coat was wrapped around your shoulders. You looked to see Gibbs rubbing your shoulder, a small smile on his face.
His fatherly nature was present and it allowed you to be vulnerable, finally allowing yourself to outright sob; mostly in relief. You fell into his chest and he caught you, hands moving to rub your back. He mumbled into your hair, “You’re safe. I got ya. I got ya.”
The sound of gravel shifting caught their attention.
Gibbs felt you tense under his touch, “Is that him?” You nodded, whimpering a little bit. He looked at Ziva, “Stay with her, cover the front. DiNozzo, McGee, go find cover on the right, I’ll get cover on the left. You’ll know what to do.”
Carefully, Gibbs placed you in Ziva’s hold and she placed you in the car for both warmth and cover.
When Cole finally reached the cabin, Ziva raised her weapon. “Cole Cooke! NCIS! Get out of the car-” He threw it in reverse just to be stopped by Tony and Tim. He tried to get out and make a break for the tree line but Gibbs stepped out. He quickly surrendered and was handcuffed.
With you in a separate vehicle they made the trip back to NCIS.
********
Jake paced the squad room. Abby was up there with him, trying to keep him calm.
He was mumbling things to himself out of worry and Abby was following him, trying to grab him by the shoulders. “Jake. Jake. Ja-”
She finally got a hold of him, and ducked her head a little bit to make sure he was looking at her.
“Jake, they will find her. They’re the best there is. I’m sure they already found her and are either on their way here or to a hospital.” Jake frowned, “She hates hospitals, especially being in them alone.” Abby shook her head, “She isn’t alone. Gibbs wouldn’t let her be alone. Y/N is safe, I can feel it.” Jake just nodded, slowly calming down.
The elevators dinged and he was on his feet, nearly giving himself whiplash as he turned.
But when he did all he saw was red.
Cooke was being escorted out in handcuffs by Tony and McGee. Abby couldn’t hold Jake back as he swiftly made his way over and landed a punch to Cole’s jaw. Neither agent bothered to stop the pilot as the one punch sent Cooke to the ground.
But as he went in for more, Gibbs gripped Jake and pulled him away. He had to fight Jake back to the bullpen, but he got him there.
“That asshole just punched me!” McGee and DiNozzo huffed as they harshly yanked him off the ground. “You’re lucky that’s all he did.” They dragged him to interrogation.
Jake’s nostrils flared as he exhaled, his chest still broadened in his display of dominance over Cole.
However, the adrenaline wore off as quickly as it appeared and Jake felt tears line his eyes. He hung his head and fell into a chair. He pressed the heels of his palms into his eyes, sobs leaving his lips. “I wasn’t there the first time, and I wasn’t there this time… I can’t believe I-” Abby cut him off, “Don’t finish that sentence, Jake. Because you are here, you were there the first time. She ran to you, you are her safe place.” “But-”
He was cut off the elevator ding again.
Glancing up, his heart soared in his chest.
There you were. Standing right before him in an old Longhorn sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. You were clean from the dirt and dried blood, having used the showers to clean up after any evidence was collected.
Your arm was in a sling and some butterfly closures adorned your forehead. But even then, you were still the most beautiful girl in the world to him.
*****
You walked quietly with Ziva out of the elevator, the weight of the conversation you had with her and Ducky still sitting on your shoulders.
The sound of a chair rolling back and hitting a desk caught your attention.
Looking up, you saw Jake and once again, you were crying; both from relief and the realization you almost never saw him again.
You moved as fast as you could to get to him, slamming your beaten body into his when you got to him. His arms carefully wrapped around you, obviously not wanting to hurt you. But when your soft crying exhales hit his chest, he all but scooped you into his arms carefully wrapping your legs around his torso.
You winced a little when his arm tightened around your waist. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he immediately apologized. You pulled your head out of the crook of his neck, shaking it lightly before looking into his eyes, “It reminds me this isn’t just another dream.”
Jake closed his eyes, tears falling down his cheeks as he rested his forehead against yours. “Jacob, if you don’t-” He cut off your sentence with a kiss, it was slow but no less passionate. He was gentle, the arm wrapped around your shoulders bringing you closer to him.
Ziva, Gibbs, and Abby watched on with smiles. Tim and Tony walked in mid conversation, but stopped seeing the intimate moment happening in the squad room.
You had to pull back for air at some point. And when you did, you rested your forehead against Jake’s, both of your eyes closing with the contact.
“Marry me.”
Your eyes shot open and were met with Jake’s green ones.
You had said it at the same time.
A grin broke out on your face, “I hope you aren’t just askin’ me that-” Your tease was cut off by Jake, “I’m not. I-I had this big plan. I wanted to take you out to the pasture we danced in on prom night our senior year.” You giggled a little, “That would have been nice.”
Biting your lip you played with the hair at the nape of his neck.
“I had a lot of time to think over the past few days,” you said quietly, your breath ghosting over his lips. He nudged your nose with his. “So have I. And I’m sorry I never asked you sooner.” “Let me finish, will ya?” You chuckled lightly and he did as well. “I realized that proposing, nowadays, is a two way street. I could have asked you at any time and you would have said ‘yes’. We’ve been together since we were 15, Jake. Friends since we were born. We should have gotten married right out of high school, but we were scared of what our future held during the Academy and then flight school, then through separate deployments. It was too much to worry about at once, and we didn’t know what was gonna happen.”
You licked your lips and inhaled a little, “But I can’t go another damn day without legally being your wife. Those bitches at the bar aside. I just, I want others to know that you're mine and that I’m yours.” He nodded, “Okay, let’s do it.” You giggled and kissed him, “Alright cowboy.”
He sat you down and pulled out the ring box.
“Wait, you had that this whole time?” Jake rubbed the back of his neck, “Like I said, I had this whole plan. I was gonna ask you after we got some time off when we got back to North Island.” You laughed, “You perfectionist.” You peck his lips and he slid the ring on your finger.
You heard a squeal from behind you and you both looked around to see the entire Gibbs team smiling at you and Jake.
“Thank you, for getting her back to me. All of you.”
