In DC vs Vampires: All Out War, we learn that dunking a vampire in a Lazarus Pit turns them back into a human.

Sooo... what if the Fentons find out Danny’s secret and they don't take it too badly, but they don't take it great either. They believe this isn't a trick by Phantom and they don't want to hurt him, but they're convinced that Danny is sick and they have to cure him of this rare ghostly disease. They research far and wide and eventually land on dunking him in a Lazarus Pit. That's a cure for vampirism, not half-ghostliness, but it's the only lead they've got and they're desperate. Maybe Danny goes along with this scheme because he doesn't think the Pit will hurt him, maybe the Fentons have to kidnap their own son, I don't know, but either way the Pit backfires SPECTACULARLY. Does Danny’s liminal energy transmute the Pit into a temporary portal and summon a bunch of angry ghosts? Does it make him terribly sick or make him go berserk? A secret third thing? All of the above and more?

Luckily or unluckily, depending on who you ask, by this point the Fentons have gotten the attention of a lot of people who would very much like to know why they're so interested in Lazarus Pits, and perhaps some of those are watching from the shadows when their scheme backfires.
