what's your favorite character design?? it can include side characters and the vocaloids 👍
most of my favourite character designs are side characters because they get to have way more fun with them (aka they get to have different features like noses and glasses and freckles and thicker eyebrows that are basically off limits for the MCs). Saku is probably my fave just bc she looks cool but Sakurako has a really good and instantly recognisable silhouette. Also shout out to Asahi and his fuckass ahoge (this was just an excuse to mention asahi but the ahoge does make his silhouette significantly more interesting). Oh and how could I forget all the Mikus. Miku is instantly recognisable on her own but all her variants are really well designed - they're still instantly recognisable as Miku but all fit their personalities and SEKAI super well.

The answer is probably obvious given your username but who is your favorite twst character? ❤ Guess I am more asking what you love about Riddle lol
haha, well, i will say that riddle is practically tied with idia as my favorite! idia was a character who i literally decided was my fave at first sight, but then i came to love riddle more and more while i was playing through the story for the first time. the idiashroud url is taken by someone who isn't even using it😔 and this url was, shockingly, not taken when i first got into twst, so i took it the second i found out it was available. but, yeah, i do love riddle a lot!! i've got two plushies of him and two other pieces of adorable fanmade merch i'll share below, and i'd love to get some more riddle merch. i especially really wanna buy his nendoroid when i'm able to afford it.
^ the aforementioned riddle merch plus some other random things i have on a little corkboard in my room, lol.
as for what i love about him... honestly, what drew me to him when i first started twst was that i just thought he was hilarious. one of the first vignettes i ever read was the one where he and floyd are in the library and he gets really pissed about floyd teasing him and making fun of his height. and, well, one of my favorite fictional characters of all time just happens to be another short little nerd with a red color scheme and a hot temper who would have to be held back from kicking my ass if he knew i was calling him a short little nerd (it's edward elric from fullmetal alchemist, lol). so i got attached to him based on that and also because i thought the way he acted during book 1 was just really funny and entertaining to watch. i also figured there must be some sort of Reason behind it that i couldn't wait to find out, and then the reason we got really tugged at my heartstrings and, again, reminded me of some of my favorite characters in other media.
beyond that, i really love his design, for one thing. especially his heart-shaped ahoge which has got to be one of the cutest character design choices i've ever seen in my life. i love that he's an animal lover who goes out of his way to check on the hedgehogs even when he doesn't have to, and how excited he gets about discovering the joys of puzzle solving in the endless halloween event. i love how protective he is of his dormmates and how much faith he shows in them after book 1. like, he has such sweet interactions with ace in fairy gala remix and with deuce in glorious masquerade. and i love the development he goes through!! i made a post on this a while back, but riddle along with vil is one of the only overblotters who really apologized and took immediate steps to make up for what he'd done, which shows a lot of genuine maturity and responsibility on his part. there's also a chapter of the twst anthology manga where he's really anxious and frustrated with himself for still instinctively getting so angry at rule violations, and ace ultimately convinces him that he doesn't have to be so hard on himself and helps him relax. i love that. i love that he's still struggling with unlearning what he was taught all his life, because recovery and growth aren't always linear, but he's trying the best that he can now that he knows he was wrong.
so yeah this got longer than i originally planned lol but basically i just think riddle is really cute and funny and has a great character arc. to end this off here's an image of two riddle plushies i wish i had because i absolutely adore this style.
#thank you for this ask btw!! 💖#hope you don't mind getting a bit of an essay in response#but i'd also love to know who your favorite twst chara is and why you like them if you feel like sharing!!#asks#batlokilove#twisted wonderland#riddle rosehearts

I've seen posts about it back in 2019 in twt I think? Most of the artists I followed back then were drawing them craazyy. Then dropped after a year after and moved on to Genshin HAHA.
2. I can't remember but it might have been the Golden Deer/Redraw Reigan memes that actually piqued me.
or that one sylvix micecraft video.
or it could've been those sylvain dancing vids.
I've started playing around late 2020.
3.) Golden Deer! (Wanted to try BL but I was denying about how I was interested in Dimitri just because he was blone and blue eyes prince knight and older sis was going for BL first. So I went with GD😂)
4.) Either BL or GD. I just like theire dynamics.
5.) I think Azure Moon is my fave out of all of the routes. It felt personal (I've did every route except BL/AM actually. I've only watched it thru older sis's playthrough.)
6.) Byleth! I know it's dumb liking supposed insert characters but I've done that before sadly. (I still love you Allen😔)
I never even knew he existed because I never saw fanart of him till older sis started playing.
Byleth is a strong and seemingly perfect person but deeply cares for his friends and allies. He's a really dependable person and wants to help people. He indulges in his students' favorite hobbies and interests and I find that cute. The gap between his supposed cold and unemotional side and him basically learning how to interacting with everyone is cute. He likes to fish and every food you see in the game he loves them except for pickled food for some reasons, it's so cute. To me his special charm point is his cute ahoge, it's all part of his cute gap. I find everything about him cute. I'm not gonna deny it anymore😇
EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTIONED, Byleth is so sweet that he asked Manuela to teach him in how to sing and act like in a play because he wants to show it to his papa jeralt. Jeralt mentioned he always wanted to go see a play with Sitri but never had the chance and doesn't have anymore reason to go to. Like uwahhhh😭
I find it cute that he looks like his mama than his papa and it was implied that no matter how much he tries, he told Alfred (Engage) that he can't grow much muscles like his papa😆
Fave moment in FEH is that Shez was trying to compete on who's the better mercanary lead and Byleth just instantly agreed that he's the better leader. Then proceeds to surprise Shez even more by eating huge platter of food😂
Other characters I like is Dimitri (hehe), Sylvain, Ashe, Claude, Hilda, Linhardt, M!Shez
7.) Ignatz! I used him alot when I played VW and also 3Hopes, lettimg him debuff enemies and do chipped damage. I think he's a chill guy who sees the world beautifully despite the war going on.
8.) Enlightened One and Great/High Lord because Byleth and Dimitri hehe.
Mortal Savant is cool. I think doing both sword and magic is cool, it reminds me of Tales.
9.) Sword and Tome
10.) I haven't played in a while so I can't remember. I'll edit once I remember.
11.) I haven't played in a while so I can't remember. I'll edit once I remember.
12.) Chasing Daybreak! This version of the music is my favorite (Right here)
13.) Fishing and eating. Just honestly running around the monastery. I don't get tired doing that even if it might break the joy stick lol.
14.) ClauHilda. I find them cute and 3hopes made me like them more hehe. I will get their pop up parade figurines soon huhu.
15.) I don't ship f/w or girl's love tbh. But I do like F!Shezleth (F!Shez x F!Byleth).
Happy 5th anniversary to FE3H🥳🎉
Like the post and I'll answer the questions above hehe.

sonic gijinka lore (important)
I refer to human Sonic as Nicky (this is because of the manga).
Naturally black haired, dyes hair blue
I always draw him with visible eyelashes.
Needs glasses but hates wearing them, abysmal eyesight.
Has two little strands of hair that stick out on top of his head like an ahoge
(if after Sonic Unleashed) wears Chip’s bracelet
5 foot 5 inches tall (short king)
He rarely wears his hoodie, and likes keeping it around his waist. The back of his hoodie says ‘welcome to the next level’ (deep cut reference)
Also wears bandages around his arms like Boom. This is because his hands go purple and veiny at night, as a side effect of the werehog transformation. (I call them cabbage hands)
Despite me literally making a guide for his design, the plasters can constantly change colour and position. This is on purpose trust me it's totally not because i can't be bothered with consistency. Of course, like 50% of human Sonic designs, he has one on his nose to signify he's a rambunctuous fellow.
Has a huge scar on his chest marking where Mephiles impales him with the laser, as he died that way in an alternate reality (06). He isn’t sure why he has it. He remembers the events of 06 vividly but he considers it a weird fever dream.
Has a few scars on his back where he was cut with the big fans in Eggmanland (hate those fans smh)
Legs and arms have burn scars from Angel Island. Will I ever draw these? No. Is it useful? No.
Has a front tooth missing, he was punched in the face hard by Knuckles at the start of Sonic 3
He pretty much the same personality as the original
A lot more nerdy. Likes reading books a lot more, part time mechanic. Has a sporty element too. Like half nerd/half jock.
Not good at talking to new people, he comes across very obnoxious to those not already used to him. Ambivert.
He smells like wet grass and lemons.
I think of him as around 17? Classic is like 8.
Mostly mute until he was like 13 I think, he started talking a lot. When he gets stressed out he goes mute again
Is bisexual (bisexual rights)
Native Japanese speaker, english is his second language. And yeah I know I can’t draw a consistent face (the opposite of same face syndrome) but I intended for him to be Japanese-American.
I also intended for him to be a trans male (because the trans Sonic headcanon slaps) but I didn’t ever bring this up because I’m not sure how to portray trans characters.
I’ve started referring to my human Shadow as Julien and if you take one step onto my Spotify I think you can guess why.
Due to the difficulties of growing a human in a test tube, some spaces on his body, his skin hasn’t grown in correctly and looks raw.
He hasn't slept in 50 years
He’s 5 foot 4.
He’s really into figure skating
his eye's all fucky wucky because infinite messed it up (the eye that’s covered in this image)
his goggles and neckerchief are based off a sonic channel art i saw somewhere
the shoes are dolce and gabbana
I have no lore on metal other than he’s 5′3 and a sonic kinnie (no doubles allowed)
formatting is kinda wack, Tumblr refused to allow me to move the picture. anyway like comment fave subscribe :)

Don't be sorry! I'm glad you had fun! And thank god I didn't wanna spoil anything if you hadn't seen the anime.
So, KuzuPekoHina and Naegami (I love naegami so much words cannot describe.) Izuru and Hajime are in one body, but two people. And Izuru cares for Hajime. No i won't let that hc go ever i love it.
So you know that Makoto was gonna be put on trial for saving the Remnants before...shit goes down in the DR anime? Well a month sfter THAT mess some shady asshole FF officials go up to Hajime and say "...do these extra dangerous missions for the Foundation or we'll put Makoto on trial. And find him guilty. For realsies."
And Hajine can't let that happen since Makoto's the only reason his pseudo family are alive right now. So he agrees.
Makoto is essentially manipulated into going with Hajime. "If Hajime dies on any of these missions, we'll be forced to eliminate the other Remnants as a precaution. They could fall into deapair again should Hajime die. Go along with him, this is YOUR doing after all."
The missions are dangerous from the start, but they only get more dangerous as the ahoge duo complete mission after mission. They're starting to look haggard and injuries aren't healing as fast as they should.
Those two of course did not tell anyone about this "arrangement," and OF COURSE before any of our faves can interrogate the info out of them, they're away due to a mission for a month. It should've taken two weeks.
Everyone, but especially Fuyuhiko, Peko, and Byakuya are now worried, frantic, and livid. Because "What the FUCK is going on why don't we know?!"
“ahoge duo” i’m fucking HOWLING this is so sad but also that one thing is absolutely sending me rn
but my god byakuya has the power to sit FF the fuck down and ask what the hell is going on. at first he doesn’t notice that it’s all going to shit because he’s smart as hell but also a dumbass, and he trusts makoto to do the right thing so whatever. but fuyuhiko and peko bring it up and suddenly it’s rage from all three fronts when they all realise that something fuckin hinky is going on.
they recruit kyoko to help, because after they tell her she’s also pissed about it (and actually incredibly impressed that byakuya actually asked for help with this, we love character development). unfortunately, fuyuhiko and peko have to stay on the sidelines because theyre remnants and FF doesn’t trust them at all - but byakuya togami? of course they trust him.
kyoko basically ends up acting as a defence lawyer lmao but she’s fuckin scary when she wants to be, and between her and byakuya FF are backed into a corner because they both threaten to resign unless this stops. aoi also threatens resignation when she’s told about what’s going on. toko is kinda off being a lesbian with komaru so she’s not super involved - but she’s still pissed because once komaru finds out she’s an absolute weapon about bugging byakuya to deal with this.
anyway, one of the 78th class resigning would be one thing, but kyoko is possibly their brightest mind. all three of them resigning would likely make a lot of shit fall apart. yes, it’s corporate blackmail, no byakuya doesn’t care.
with that threat, hajime and makoto are brought back in (mostly) one piece. fuyuhiko does his best not to kick off, peko has to calm him down even though she’s also filled with rage about this. byakuya is... man he’s pissed. he scolds makoto for not telling him, but really he’s just glad that he’s safe.

Opinion on each zanki zero character?
While I’m here, I should also answer this fantastic ask:
Anonymous said: Are the Zanki Zero characters names as stupid as Danganronpa character names? ‘cause one of the characters is named after a type of tractor
I also need to post my feelings on ZZ in general, but so far it’s pretty cool. The characters aren’t really out of their introductory shallow stages yet but they show promise. I don’t care what the haters say, I find Extend TV amusing. The game’s premise is cool, the 3D character models look nice, and the system of exploring new islands that wash up as dungeons to gather resources and get story beats is cool.
This may be the closest thing I get to DanRon Mystery Dungeon.
While I normally don’t like stories where death is impermanent, this seems like it will tackle more the psychological strain of immortality and the goal will be to get your zanki (extra lives) to zero, linking the end/goal of the game to the way it started: with suicide. If so, I’m here for that.
Anyway, my thoughts on the characters.
Minor Spoilers!
Higurashi Haruto - Basic SpikeChun VN protag so far: kinda bland, ahoge, etc. I do like his glasses, though, and the fact he was an editor. That’s a unique detail. Aside from oversleeping once, hasn’t exhibited much slothfulness, unless you count his inability to act when he and Susukino took a ride on the Tentacle Express. As for his suicide attempt (completion?), I suspect that’s true of everyone, not just Higurashi.
How Stupid Is That Name?Low. Higurashi means living hand-to-mouth, which is very on the nose for this situation (also likely a reference to that other VN series…). Haruto, like all the given names in this game, doesn’t have kanji, so it’s a bit tough to assign specific meaning to it. You could write it as 温人, for instance, which would mean “warm person”. Both names are real names, and fairly common at that.
Hirasaka Sachika - All I can say is, thank god she has a side besides “adowable widdle gurl!” because I am not a fan of that. It is cool to have a disabled character though. So far aside from Higurashi being a bit tactless and presumptive, it’s been handled fairly well? Sachika’s clearly extremely intelligent, likely playing everyone (she’s the one who urges everyone to go inside Mashiro Garden Tower), and appears to be the only character who doesn’t age. Since she’s original sin, wouldn’t that make her knowledge? Interesting…
How Stupid Is That Name?Moderately stupid. Hirasaka is a real name, but if it’s written that way, it’s pretty rare. The kanji used are “compare, good, hill” which you could take as comparing how well the others reform and atone for their sins. Sachika is indeed a name, and it could include a bunch of different kanji, including the ones for “happiness” or “knowledge”. Sachika’s name is what I’d consider to be the DR standard level of stupid.
Mikajime Ryou - His design was one of the ones I was the least interested in, but so far he’s been pretty amusing. I hope he doesn’t end up typecast as the “protag’s best buddy” type from DR. Real jealousy explored in a game like this would be pretty dope though.
How Stupid Is That Name?Well, as far as I know, Mikajime is not a real name, so we’re already treading pretty silly waters. The kanji basically come out to read “three flowers tied up” which is fitting the theme. Ryou is a very, very common male name, though if I had to hazard a guess here, I’d say it’s in reference to 量, which means “quantity” (as in, how much you have in the way of resources, and could feed into the envy theme).
Susukino Rinko - As is often the case with things like this, I like her design but her archetype is one that puts my teeth on edge. Please shake this Yamato Nadeshiko BS please, girl. Also, assign Lust to the beefcake dude, you cowards! I did like that I chose her and Higurashi as my least faves that I’d be cool with killing to complete the cloning mission, and lo!
How Stupid Is That Name?Susuki is the Japanese name for Chinese Silver Grass/Zebra Grass, which is already pretty silly given that she’s a florist. The “no” part means field, so duh on that, but it often gets used in dumb animanga names to stand in for the particle の which will make it a possessive. The reason I bring this up is because susuki is sometimes called “maiden grass” and Susukino’s sin is Lust. While Susukino isn’t a real surname as far as I can tell, it is the name of a neighborhood in Yokohama! Rinko’s a pretty normal lady name with the ko almost always being “child” while the Rin part can be all kinds of stuff, like forest, cold, and interestingly enough, ethics. …it also rhymes with one of the Japanese words for “penis”.
Kubota Zen - I am sad that this guy will likely become the Cursed Character of this game, because I actually find him pretty interesting. It’s always great to have a wild card in the mix, and while he’s being a little too openly Komaeda/Ouma-like in this instigator department, it seems more clearly to come from a distinctly different place than either of them. I dig it.
How Stupid Is That Name?Look at this fucking normal-ass name. Sure, the Ku part of Kubota isn’t the usual one, instead being swapped for the legal version of 9 (…suffering…), and yeah, Kubota is a brand of tractor, and okay, it’s a bit openly ironic to have your Wrath character named Zen, but honestly this is one of the least surprising names here. (It could also be one of the other zens, like the one from nature or something.)
Setouchi Minamo - The only thing stopping me from fully embracing this character as my fave is the fact that Nate likes her best. Design? Fantastic. Lady cop? Hell yes. Speaks in Osaka-ben?! FUCK YEAH. I like that she’s Pride, too, which is considered the worst one of the bunch (aside from knowledge, I guess) since she seems like she’s so…Asahina-like. Setouchi is a fucking cutie and I love her, the end. Pride Month, baby.
How Stupid Is That Name?I swear to god, her last name has to be a reference to the Seto Inland Sea since it’s written in Japanese as 瀬戸内海 and is even colloquially referred to as “Setouchi”. It also just so happens to be located…in Kansai! In fact, it feeds into Osaka Bay and is a major transportation hub around the Kansai region. Minamo is a common girl’s name, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it written with kanji before. I mean I guess the Mi could be “beauty” which might fit the Pride theme? Or you could read it as a pun that means “and everyone else too” or something? The jisho is telling me that it can be an alternate way to read the word for “water surface” which could fit with the theme of being named after a sea.
Ichiyou Mamoru - Right now he’s leaning a bit too hard on the Gonta gap-moe thing, where he’s an intelligent sciencey type who’s also mega buff, but I like the idea of him being actually really anxious underneath his go-with-the-flow exterior. As long as he develops into a more round character, I will like him a lot. Also, he’s tied with Setouchi as hottest character. Not really sure how the Greed thing comes in yet though. Ugh, he should’ve been Lust, SpikeChun, get it together.
How Stupid Is That Name? Not very. Ichiyou means “one leaf” which evokes (in me at least) the idea of an Adonis statue with a single leaf over its groin. Ichiyou is a real surname, and Mamoru is very much a real given name. The most obvious meaning being 守る, “to protect” which in this case can mean his patients or maybe his dragon horde because Greed.
Mashiro Yuma - She is my favorite character right now, because hot damn, do I relate. This game is so fucking diverse for a Japanese game–a disabled girl and a chubby chick?! God, it’s like Togami and Celes had a daughter who was raised by Sagishi and I fucking love her. The Gluttony thing is pretty surface level right now, though I suspect that she’s going to be fairly relevant to the story given how important the Touwa Mashiro Group is in this world. She’s right behind Setouchi and Ichiyou for character I’d be most attracted to irl, cause I like thicc girls. Not a big fan of her fashion sense, but everything else is fucking great.I especially appreciate that she’s not really that spoiled or nasty, either? Like she’s snarky, yeah, but not the full Togami. Anyway I love Mashiro.
How Stupid Is That Name?Mashiro means “pure white” which could refer to a lot of things–being free from sin, being ironically NOT free from sin, etc. Pretty sure Mashiro is a real last name. Yuma is pretty uncommon, though. The kanji that you can use for it often include ones for “freedom” or “friend” or “kind” and so on for the “Yu” part, while the “ma” could be “center” (making her name end the way it begins), “hemp/cannabis”, or “jasmine”. It would be really funny if her given name was written as “freedom cannabis” since it would be like “free to be high”.
Terashima Shou - He’s a boke and I think his unnervingly Tezuka-like art style is kind of fun. I dunno, like I said, I don’t care what you kids think, I love manzai.
How Stupid Is That Name?I need to assume that they intend to write the surname as 照島 (illuminated island) considering the catchphrase and the locale, though I guess you could also interpret it as like “tereru” for “embarrassed”? Shou’s usually written as “soar”, but I suspect that this is just a pun based on the English word “show” (as in, TV show). Might also be a little nod to best friend Genocider.
Mirai - The straightman of the manzai team. I like her too–I think she does a great job of being expressive and her comedic timing is pretty good. She’s also fairly cute, so like Nate said, I wouldn’t mind merch of her.

Talk to us about the thing you like about Shuichi the most compared to the thing you like about Shuichi the least. And maaaaybe how you think these two things changed over time during the game? If you wanna.
|| Let’s Discuss w/ Dove! || Accepting! ||
[ This is a really neat question and I’m gonna be rambling for a bit so it’s gonna be a biit long~ There are V3 spoilers for my mutual that would like to avoid spoilers though. Okay, so!
We will be here all day if I have to list off everything I like about him, but we’ll just list off some stuff. I honestly love Shuichi’s design and his timid personality. Especially at the beginning of the game. He’s really cute, and he has that kind of charm into him. Although people are saying he’s not that much of an interesting character because they’re re-using the SHSL Detective, I feel like he really does fit his talent. I especially love his development, which I will be talking about in a bit.
I can’t exactly pinpoint what I dislike about him at the moment, however, but there some things I do like about him the least. Just like every single one of my fave characters, he has a lot of flaws, even as a protagonist. Not to say he isn’t a good protagonist, he’s one of my favourites and I think he’s done a good job being a DR protag.
His ahoge game is on point tho, could easily slice off Makoto’s and Hajime’s ahoge but that’s beside the point-
I guess one of the things I somewhat dislike would be that in Chapter 1’s trial, he had so many good points to say, but he kept it to himself because he’s shy and I guess scared-? My memory for Chapter 1’s trial is vague, so I honestly could be wrong about that. I can 100% fully understand why he would keep quiet, I mean he got a dirty look from a criminal when he’s done that and it’s clear that it has affected him psychologically. And if he were to just say his thoughts the trial would’ve been over quick… But I still feel like he could’ve said something, it’s not exactly a huge thing I dislike about him though. It’s one of the small things that I somewhat dislike and it’s something I can think of.
Ah– Another thing I somewhat dislike is not exactly just about him but it’s mainly about the game itself, so I don’t think this really counts but…I feel like he became a protagonist a bit too quickly. Like- yes, we got to know about Kaede, we got to know about Shuichi, and of course their friendship and co-operation, but I still feel like the whole protagonist switch was a bit too early? Like…Maybe in Chapter 2, it would be fine but…Eh. I feel like he could’ve gotten a bit more development before he became a protag but again, that’s just me, I haven’t actually touched V3 in ages, and it likely doesn’t count. He’s already got a lot of development throughout the game, from what I’ve seen at least, and it’s a really nice development in my opinion.
His timid personality changes throughout the game, he’s becoming more confident and a better person. All of this happened after the aftermath of Chapter 1′s execution too, and he chooses to try to move on for Kaede’s wishes. I mean- Listen he spends time with Kaito and works out with him in the morning, he’s becoming stronger! I’m proud of me boi! Because he’s becoming less timid, he’s also not really keeping certain things to himself during the Class Trials if I remember it well?
He’s growing from a timid boy to a confident one, and I appreciate that.
I also like how he gets along with certain classmates, it’s just a personal thing but…Listen I just get happy because he gets friends okay. ]
#[ it's been ages since i touched v3 so i could say some wrong info's but i hope i didn't--? ]#[ well the main parts anyway ]#[ also tysm for sending this ask rayne !! <3 ]#[ i had a lot of fun writing this~! ]#| asks |#| OutOfClues |#nightmaresadvocate

i am really glad kiibo got to be cool in this last chapter, it was amazing
i also liked the last lines you get from him before heading to the final trial
kiibo was kind of the gag character/odd one out before this, partially because of the obvious fact that he’s the only robot in the group and had some uh… hang ups and insecurities about that. he was usually helpful in trials though which was great because i love hearing him talk, i’m not gonna do a full japanese voices ranking since i like them all but if i WAS going to kiibo would easily be in the top three.
anyways to get back to the point of this, i don’t feel like i can make a full analysis with only this first playthrough, but i do think kiibo didn’t get a ton of character growth throughout most of the game (owing to him being kind of a gag character or at least a bullying target character which sort of prevents him from getting development while the game is still in comedy mode) until like last chapter? like he was the only one who was legitimately sad about iruma’s death and that did seem to kick start him being more motivated to actively stop the killing game, culminating in his actions in chapter 6, in which Kiibo Becomes Kickass. i’m sure him getting his ahoge/antenna knocked off had something to do with it too (especially considering he does denounce his actions after getting it back), but even still he does seem like he’s grown a bit
tl;dr i love this robot boy, he’s probably my third fave character of this game after tenko and ouma
#kiera plays ndrv3#kiibo#this is definitely a game where knowing bits of the big spoilers led me to realize lines and stuff had significance earlier than i should'v#but whenever i get around to a second playthrough in the future that will be interesting to see like#where the little details start adding up and stuff#auuuuuuggghhhh i still hate that i'm enjoying the game so much since i am almost to the reveal that made me real mad when i heard about it#that being said seeing stuff in this game.......... i have some suspicions#i'll see how they talk about it in game before making another long post though#unless i REALLY gotta post about it i probably won't stop mid trial to make any posts#but i also probably won't finish the final trial tonight... these are usually like 3-4 hours so#drv3 spoilers

URL Opinions
Send me your URL and I'll tell you
My Opinion on;
Character in general: Saihara was my second fave ahoge boy of the games, so the midling. I think he’s a hit and miss sort of character. He gets a fair amount of development, but it’s really undermined by the fact that he uses so many other characters as crutches in the game to get that development, especially his training triangle. It’s really hard for me to say I love him simply because it’s not very often that he himself has agency in the game. I would say I like him but don’t love him, if that’s a fair assessment. How they play them: The writing is the strong point for sure. You know how to write well, and your grammar and word choice is often phenomenal. I like your sentiments towards Saihara’s other classmates and their interactions seem genuine and realistic. I think what may need some work is adding in nuances of his awkwardness into his dialogue, as we all know Saihara’s just... *sigh* He gets awkward and blushy and stutter-y so many times. And I’d definitely wanna see more of that. Although *cracks knuckles* Maybe Saihara just hasn’t met the right person to shove him outta his comfort zone just yet. Heh. The Mun: Do you even go here? From the conversations we’ve had, we seem to get along fairly well and we have a similar sense of humor, so really, what the fuck more do we need, right? Heh. Yeah, seriously. You’re also fairly intelligent for bein’ A FETUS. And it’s just... A good feeling when people act more mature???
Do I:
RP with them: Do we? *blinks* I think we have before? Nothing recently though, I think.Want to RP with them: Yes of course~
What is my;
Overall Opinion: Great mun, great portrayal. Mature and well written. Quality all around, if I had to say so myself.
**Note: Mun’s answer are all to be completely honest. Don’t send url if you don’t want brutal honesty

are you still taking ask memes ? may I ask for kiibo, and (sorry for this but I love the salt) saihara ? oh, and a girl,hm.... ibuki !
Haha I’m always up for doing the character ask memes, anon. Maybe one day I’ll have done one for EVERY POSSIBLE DR character...? Prepare yourselves for V3 spoilers as usual, duh.
Kiibo
general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang | meet me in the pit iruma you robofuckerhogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff (none, robots aren’t people and the sorting hat doesn’t work on them! ...okay for real I’d say Ravenclaw? purely cuz he’s quite logical and analytic I suppose... also dumb about social cues since robot.)best quality: I honestly really love his robophobia gags? And his general insensitivity regarding social situations and people in general? I just find him super endearing, hilarious at times, and I always smile when he had some focus. Plus his JPN voice is super soothing. worst quality: Isn’t really particular relevant in V3 until the very last chapter... I think since Kiibo’s supposed to be the audience stand-in that he should’ve been a lot more involved with the main story/investigations. The audience really that content to not properly RP with their self-insert???ship them with: Iruma, Shirogane, Akamatsu, brotp them with: Mecha-Nidai, Hinata, Souda, Fujisaki, Nanami, Mioda (for his singing FTE)needs to stay away from: Oumamisc. thoughts: Would say Kiibo has the best English VA by far, narrowly beating Iruma and Akamatsu. Also he’s a really good deconstruction of the Naegi/SHSL Hope Archetype and I’m glad he actually sacrifices himself at the end to save the others, since that’s what should’ve happened with Naegi a long time ago. Even tho I hate the fact the survivors of V3 lived, haha. I can appreciate Kiibo’s gesture.
Saihara
general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would banghogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff (shouldn’t be a debate tbh... he basically solves all the V3 cases. hufflepuff would also fit since he’s bland as shit... actually this is insulting to MY pottermore sorted house, wtf me. he’s ravenclaw ok)best quality: With the hat I think his design is actually quite nice. His blushing sprite is cute I guess. worst quality: WHERE. DO. I. BEGIN. Really fucking bland Naegi/Hinata blend? Gets Akamatsu reduced to his love interest, killed off and replaced by him for the sake of his ALREADY-DONE-A-MILLION-TIMES-IM-SO-BORED character arc? Really goddamn annoying fandom who has a shit fit everytime someone dares to dislike him? Does nothing throughout the whole game but the entire cast is forcefully wedged up his asshole and canon over-hypes him? I could go on. He is EVERYTHING I DESPISE about this series rolled into one package. I’m salty as hell and I won’t stop.ship them with: Absolutely no one.brotp them with: ^^^needs to stay away from: Akamatsu, Ouma, V3 in generalmisc. thoughts: His design post-hat looks really awful, the ahoge is so unnecessary and rapidly defeats the point of “being an unconventional protagonist” (Which still makes no fucking sense, Kodaka/fandom). It genuinely makes all of his sprites look so WEIRD... Also why is he in the MC spot in the trial room if Kiibo is the V3 MC in-universe??? UGH I hate this shit so much.
Mioda
general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would banghogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff (i picked this one because mioda’s so peppy, genuinely wants to be good friends with her classmates and is always trying to keep up morale, and is hard-working even if her music sucks. she also is very helpful and intuitive, see: her FTEs. idk, she doesn’t really fit any of the other houses as well IMO.best quality: Probably the best ‘comic relief’ character in the series, IMO. I laughed so much everytime she was on-screen. And I like how she’s allowed to be just more than that as well, mostly in her FTEs but she has some insightful scenes in the main story as well.worst quality: Again, not the most plot-relevant character. This actually doesn’t bother me personally and I think she died at the right point in the story, but I would’ve at least liked a flashback to the scene where Tsumiki kills her. That case felt lacking and it could’ve been benefited from that detail (same with Saionji).ship them with: Imposter, Hinata, Tsumiki, Koizumi, Sonia, Pekoyama, Maizono, Akamatsu, Irumabrotp them with: Kiibo, Leon, Celesneeds to stay away from: Ropesmisc. thoughts: Her Death Metal song is defs one of my fave tracks from the series overall, haha. Fuckin’ love her horrifying style.

Ohhh can I ask what do you like about kiibo? He's one of my faves but I don't see many people talk about him
I absolutely would love the chance to talk about Kiiboagain! The biggest piece of meta I got to write on him was quite a long timeago, and it really is a shame that people don’t talk about him as much. It’snot as if he’s unpopular, exactly, but it seems like most people are onlyinterested in the “cute robot” aspect rather than the things Kiiboactually represents in the game and the things he accomplishes in Chapter 6.
Obviously I’ll be discussing Chapters 5 and 6 prettyin-depth, so there’ll be massive spoilers for the whole game. Please only readif you’re comfortable with that!
I think part of the main reason why there’s so littlediscussion about Kiibo is because his main time to shine doesn’t really comeuntil Chapter 5. I myself didn’t particularly have an opinion on him one way orthe other before that. Similar to Tsumugi, he stays mostly on the back-burner inall the previous chapters. He’s certainly level-headed and reasonable duringthe trials, but he’s very much on the outskirts of things, never part of eitherthe friendships or conflicts the other characters are having with each other.
Thankfully though, ndrv3 does much better than itspredecessors (in my opinion) of giving most of the characters a more fair andeven amount of screen time. Characters who received their fair share ofdevelopment in earlier chapters and then passed away aren’t around by Chapter5, so that allowed Kiibo to finally take the stage and receive a lot more focusafter five chapters of mostly only being brought up to either say somethinguseful to the trial or get robo-bullied.
Chapter 5 is the first opportunity we have to reallyinteract with Kiibo in a plot context, not counting FTEs. While it’s somethingthat was alluded to plenty in the other chapters, Chapter 5 finally reallyhighlights exactly how much Kiibo questions his own existence as it’s viewed byeveryone else. In a game all about how “lies become reality” and “perception iseverything,” he’s genuinely worried over the thought that others perceive himas little more than just “The Robot™” despite all his efforts to ask that theytreat him as one of the group.
Kiibo wants to be regarded as an individual, not a machineor a wacky exaggerated trope, even if that’s what the other characters keeptrying to delegate him to. Even if he can’t be human, per se, he’d at leastlike to be thought of as someone who’s not out of the ordinary. That’s part ofwhy he hates the mecha genre so much, in fact.
If he had his way, he’d honestly prefer to be an ordinaryhigh school student, just like the rest of them—and that, in a game where manyof the characters prefer talent and competitionand excelling above all else, is interesting. It’s not often that normalcy isany of the character’s desired goal; more often, it’s a curse that they’retrying to escape from. But it works well as a theme for Kiibo because being arobot is something he has literally no control over, something that arguablydoesn’t even count as a “talent” in the first place.
Kiibo is so desperate to settle the matter of how he’sperceived that he’s in fact almost reckless with it. He actually volunteers tolie under the press in order to see whether the sensor on it will detect him asa “human” or an “object.” When Ouma gives the group the electric hammers Miumade for him, explaining that they work on machines and electronics but not onpeople, Kiibo actually contemplates using one on himself in order to test howMiu actually saw him—something Ouma advises against, since if it turns out hewas regarded as a machine and not a person, his circuits would completely fry.
These things are, of course, not uncommon to robotcharacters in fiction. They’re themes that have been done before, but I ratherlike the serious twist things take with Kiibo’s self-perception anyway inChapter 5. It adds a level of understanding to the reason why he’s been so onthe outskirts of the group; unlike Tsumugi, who keeps herself on the outskirtsbecause she purposely wants to be an observer, Kiibo has simply felt excludedfrom the start and always will feel excluded,on some level. I feel for these kinds of characters deeply, and that’s probablythe point at which I went from being neutral about him to quite liking him.
The fact that he was actually the most objective and fairestcharacter in the Chapter 5 trial earned him huge points, too. That was where hetruly began showing some of his protagonist potential, in my opinion. Assomeone who wants to be treated fairly and “like one of the group,” it reallydoes speak volumes to Kiibo’s character that he honestly, 100% believes thateveryone else should receive that kind of fair and equal treatment, too. Evensomeone like Ouma, who was being viewed in almost entirely antagonistic termsby the rest of the group and who they believed to be a literal “Junko 2.0.”
Even after using the Hope’s Peak remember light, Kiibo wasthe only one in the group who actually wanted to talk to Ouma, rather thanMomota in Chapter 5. He went to the machinery bay with the intention of seeingif he could have a face-to-face talk with him instead of having to rely on theentire dr1-style “let’s talk down the big bad villain from despair” plan thatthey had set for the next day. I still wonder what would’ve actually happenedif he’d managed to convince Ouma to let him in to talk, too—he didn’t succeedbecause Maki was already in the machinery bay at the time, but I feel likethings could’ve turned out drastically different if he’d managed to talk withOuma for himself.
That fair objectivity of Kiibo’s is one of my favoritequalities, moreso since it’s something that seems to be natural and inherent tohim, rather than something Tsumugi oranyone else programmed into his character. It’s so distinctly… well, I’mlooking for a good comparison and I keep coming back to Hufflepuff. Fair,hard-working, earnest, and unbelievably loyal, both to the people he caresabout and what he believes in—these are all traits that embody Kiibo as acharacter.
While these traits are definitely positive things, they canalso be unbelievably scary when carried to their full potential. After losinghis ahoge and severing his connection with the ndrv3 audience, Kiibo finallyhas an opportunity to think for himself and make his own decisions, without anyinterruptions or subconscious urges not to do so. And he’s the only character after Chapter 5 who looksat Momota and Ouma’s sacrifice, and decides to put a stop to the killing gameonce and for all, with his own two hands.
This is a cold, ruthless decision coming from a characterwho has looked at all the options as fairly as possible and determined that thekilling game will not stop unless he takes this course of action. When Kiibomade up his mind to end everything himself once and for all was pretty much thepoint where I went from just liking him to lovinghim. Stripped away of the audience’s interference or Tsumugi’s plans for him,Kiibo is someone who at his core was not entirely dissimilar to Ouma—if anything,he was even more willing to make sacrifices than Ouma was, because Kiibo was absolutely willing to blow up the wholeschool and everyone in it by sunrise if Saihara couldn’t find any other way ofstopping the killing game by exposing the truth.
This reflects a loyalty to his ideals and to the sacrificesMomota and Ouma left behind that goes very, very deep. I have a huge soft spotfor loyal characters, moreso loyal characters who do questionable things forthe sake of their loyalty—Juzo and Mukuro are both super high on my characterranking for that exact reason. Kiibo’s unwavering decision to do anything ittook to end the killing game made him incredibly likable for me, especiallysince, in the end… he was right. It turned out that blowing up Saishuu Academyand giving the audience an ending that was neither hope nor despair was theonly possible way to break the cycle of “hope vs. despair” that had been goingon for 53 seasons.
Once the trial begins and Kiibo has his ahoge and his linkwith the audience restored, Chapter 6 is a journey of him stepping into theprotagonist role at first, saying all the wrong things and falling into all thewrong pitfalls of the “hope vs. despair” cycle, and acting every bit the sortof Naegi-like, inspirational, hope-giving protagonist that Tsumugi set him upto be. Just as Ouma was very much set up by Tsumugi to be “despair,” aJunko-like figure to take the fall in her original plans, Kiibo was set up verysimilarly to be “hope.”
But “hope” within the killing game, especially “hope” asTsumugi wanted it to reflect the Hope’s Peak arc, is a false hope. All it doesis enable the same cycle to keep repeating. And that’s something Saihara pointsout, touching on the fact that the ndrv3 audience arguably wants to see “hope”even more than “despair,” as “hope” is heavily implied to be the choice thatkept winning the most in the past 53 seasons of the killing game.
Like Ouma, Kiibo rejects his intended role in the end, andthat’s exactly what I love about him the most, I think. Despite being someonewho was set up to be a puppet on a string every step of the way, Kiibo rejectedthat “hope” and instead was willing to stand with everyone and lay down hislife in order to end the killing game. Even though he had every reason to keeparguing, even though his “inner voice” kept telling him that “hope” was theright choice, he ignored all of that and instead consciously chose to tryending the killing game once again.
There’s also the matter of Kiibo’s self-sacrificing streak amile wide, which is something I always wind up falling for in DR characters andsomething that inevitably hurts me, since they always die. Characters whosacrifice themselves for the sake of others’ happiness do not get to have agood time in DR, ever. And Kiibo’s sacrifice at the end of the game goes soun-commented on most of the time, because Saihara and the others assume that itwas more the outside world’s doing.
But looking back at the final execution, at Kiibo’s concernas he saw Saihara and the other survivors under the rubble, and the slight smileon his face as he flew up higher to the dome to self-destruct in order to givethem all a chance to live on, I can’t help but feel that it was Kiibo’s doing, rather than the audience’s directly. Some small part of Kiibo still left inthere wanted more than anything for the rest of them to have a chance atliving.
In the end, the will to live on is the smallest and mostgenuine form of hope that there is, in my opinion at least. The “hope” thatTeam DR and the killing game audience wanted was false, but Kiibo was notmistaken about wanting there to at least be some way for Saihara and the othersurvivors to keep living. In a game featuring many, many suicidal and depressedcharacters, Kiibo is ultimately the one that presents them with the opportunityto keep living, so that they don’t haveto sacrifice their lives. Even if the road ahead of them is bound to be harshand painful, he wanted them to have the option to walk down it in the firstplace and to be able to find a reason, any reason, to keep living.
This has gotten pretty long so I’ll leave it for now, but I’mglad I had the chance to talk about Kiibo because he’s honestly such a goodcharacter. The last two chapters of ndrv3 succeeded in making him go from acharacter I was completely neutral about to one of my absolute favorite DRcharacters of all-time—because contrary to how he seemed initially, he wound upbeing one of the best subversions of Naegi’s original character and the entireHope’s Peak arc.
Thank you both for asking! I’m always glad to meet morepeople who really like Kiibo, so this was fun!

idk my relationship w cu is weird bc honestly? i dont fucking know
aight so the facts: i actually first heard abt fate cu from a cosplay upperclassmen in college who i went to a con with, id seen cu around but i was always just like “oh, hes some anime boy. hes too anime. hes too blue.” anyways i saw an ep of cp on their recommendation but not knowing shit abt fate i didnt really have any interest.
TIME SKIP to 2015ish fall, when id gotten into fgo on a whim bc it had mozart apparently! and i basically have an ahoge radar for all things mozart (esp mozart + anime, bless that). tho honestly it was easy to stick with, even with the language barrier and playing on an emulator (i was used to that from tourabu/kancolle) because of the characters- mashu, olga, dr roman especially. i liked the servants too and the whole “anime historical figures” thing- they were cute and they were historical/legend figures i was fond of already or at least could be like “oh! i know you!” (galahad, robin hood, darius, marie, and ofc mozart)
so things really heated up ish? when cascu first appeared. i thought he was cool, pretty, ect. but was terrified hed end up being a “plot twist villain uwu” (hans trauma?) ngl i was freaking out when he makes mashu fight him bc i couldnt read the heckin text. but anyways for cascu especially id fallen way harder than i thought, id gotten invested in this shit- hell id even gotten the forbidden feelings. but it is what it is, and it happened.
so naturally, i started looking into more fate series stuff. i knew of the main fuyuki storylines, at the time ubw was on netflix, so i saw it there one rainy day. i never really got super into it but it was kinda nice to see these anime versions of historical figures i knew or knew of. of course, including a certain hound of ulster
idk when it really hit off? i think i liked diarmuid more at first since he looked “less anime” somehow. haha. idk my logic. i guess bc his outfit is in more subdued colors than cu’s bright blue? but i def liked the lancers. the tragic element in their stories and kinda the angst? whump? call it what you will they have to deal with in the fate plotlines was def a draw as well.
and surprisingly enough that peaked for me in carnival phantasm. the comedy parody. the comedy parody where cu dies painfully every episode at least once. yeah, u can see where im going with this. but that was kinda the spark that got me more and more into him- cascu was still my main squeeze, he was the gateway, the one hecker responsible for getting me hooked, but lancer was certainly cute too.
honestly rn idk what my feelings are exactly, and i dont mean that the way it sounds im almost inclined to say. i kinda know, feel, something? what they are, i just dont really know how to express it in an actual cohesive way. ive tried shipping cu in canon (popular canon ships that is) but that always felt really fake to me, like i wasn’t really invested (and tbh i wasnt. maybe in individual characters, mildly, but not in the “ship”, and def more in cu than whoever he was paired with). ive tried self shipping with him (or self inserting? i suppose is more technical) but that felt bad to me too- fake, off, ect. its not that i dont like his character, bc i do- ive got a handful of cu things at my desk and i smile every time i see him. my cu in game, whos been with me since 2015, is about 30,000 points from bond level 10. would i get a body pillow of cu? absolutely.
but its.... its different from the sort of feelings i feel for a lot of the others. all the granblue cast are newer (relatively, i started it a yr after fate, but am way less active haha), heck a lot of my main faves are like super super new- sal’s been here barely a year, izou even less, and nizou i only found out abt abt 8 months ago. same goes for most of my other faves. hans is longer (longer than cu by at least a year), but its different with him- probably because i connect to his personal traumatic experiences with similar ones of my own. i feel like we both are scarred by these things and we’d heal each other from this similar experience. and unlike sal or izou, he’s someone ive known for abt 5 years now- we’ve got that history together.
cu is different tho. ive known him for almost 4 years (longer if you count the first time i saw a fate thing, even longer than that if you count the historical cu, who i first learned abt when i was a toddler by chance), but i never even considered conventional, structured “self shipping” or “self insert” things with him. i did something akin to it, in passing daydreams, if i needed someone to kind of be in his role, he was there. he was a character i cared about and had strong feelings for. he was strong enough to help me grow, but he’d still be likely to possibly need my help depending on the situation. but thats nothing id classify as “self shipping” the way its structured here for instance.
so tl, dr. i dont blame you this is way long. cu is an important character to me. its not a feeling i want to classify as “romantic” or “platonic” or anything like that, but most of the time seeing other self ships involving him isnt really for me (whether they be romantic/platonic or not), and again, like in my bio, if ive talked to you before abt this regarding lancer its not about you. its a bit misleading since i dont really have anything up about him, but i think its because the typical “appearance” of him im not very fond of, at least within how he’s viewed, especially in regards to relation with the fsn and assorted related work and their cast. i kind of feel as well that everything i said about him previously is just so fake, its borrowed words i put in my mouth to try and voice this that i felt. i honestly don’t know how to word it more than that.

VERY BIG NDRV3 SPOILERS you know the drill
finishing chapter 5!! so close to the endgame
our boy momota comes to save the day
did he just run back to his room to get another jacket
i wonder if he’ll get a throwback to jin’s execution
OUMA WROTE A FUCKING SCRIPT?? WHAT KFJSADDS
“well this is awkward”
:O so he hates the killing game!
hmm
aah so the memory light was a lie!! i called it. well, i called that it was too fishy to be true, i didn’t call that it was a trap to turn them against ouma
i don’t... understand the point of the plan as momota’s explaining it. they vote for harumaki or ouma as the culprit, momota jumps out and explains that he is the culprit, and then......? everyone gets executed?? i mean, im guessing the point is “to prove monokuma is a sham who didnt know to the culprit was” but there was no guarantee that monokuma wouldnt have been like “well whatever fuck it, if things are like how you explained it then they voted wrong, everyone but you dies”
okay, yeah, ouma realized the rules are there for a reason and monokuma’s probably being watched. but how does that tie to the other thing...
“there’s no such thing as a death game that nobody’s watching” not sure how much i agree with that...
ahh, pretty clever how ouma got momota to kill him by making him realize that if he doesn’t, maki will be the culprit
ah, one last junji ito sprite before death. thanks ouma
UGH ARE HIS LAST WORDS REALLY GONNA BE “but i was never boring was i” dammit
maki: "but you said you were healthy and there was no reason to worry!" HE WAS. THROWING UP BLOOD. DID YOU THINK HE HAD A COLD?? man for an assassin she’s pretty guillible
when did ouma plan all of this, anyway?
HE’S BEING GENUINE ISN’T HE... SHIT. uuggh
hey! this isn’t an actual sprite of his! it looks kinda funny
Feeling Sad About Ouma Lads
OH NO THE KOMAEDA MUSIC
NO!!!!!!! well, monodam can stay
god i wish they’d actually made me care about maki as a character, then i’m sure this scene would be making me super sad. peko was also the an Emotional Warrior Who’s Kinda Boring Compared To Everyone Else And Breaks Down Crying but they actually made me care about her. peko’s one of my faves, maki’s just.... i can’t say i care about her dksjfds
FEELING SAD ABOUT MOMOTA LADS
momota: guys, don’t cry for me! this is my last request! saihara: okay, i won’t!
yumeno: I WILL!
DAMMIT MAKI WHAT DID WE JUST SAY
oshioki tiiiiiiiiime
oh... he’s smiling because he made it... he went to space... =(
DID HE DIE PEACEFULLY INSIDE THE SPACESHIP
if kiibo’s ahoge turns out to be plot relevant i.
oh... that was it?
ah, so the illness did get to him before the execution did. man, how... sad but almost kind of satisfying at the same time. melancholic?
this sprite just looks silly without the hat
HEY. KODAKA. ENOUGH. STOP BEATING THIS DEAD HORSE
oh is this a new one? i dont remember the iruma eyes
lñkdaDÑ´L YUMENO’S GOOD
...kiibo can’t hear the voice anymore because his ahoge was a receiver, right. i cant believe his ahoge is fuckin plot relevant
HOLY SHIT HE’S MEGAMAN
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO “STRENGTH OF AN ELDERLY PERSON”
well! that was a wild chapter
