Ok, gotta ask: I’ve seen your posts about Mutt and Regal meeting others from different aus and them being basically brothers with Alphys - I just...How would they react to meeting Tale and Swap Alphys?
Oh, Nonner; Thats a very epic question!
Swap Alphy;
The guys would be twisted in a way; She’s so similar to how their Al was in their Teenage years. That spunk, the fire, the flames she gives- It was like it never died! But both Russ and Regal know better, even if it might be a bit soul-cracking, yet the two are honestly extremely relieved she’s so much more tame and glad she’s apparently in a good head space than their actual Al. Perhaps a bit less mature, but still reminds them both of the past hard enough to end up with whiplash.
Russ would be practically glued silently to her hip, because Older Brother instincts would act up. Due to US!Alphy not growing up with her Skeleton friends like the SF ones, she would honestly find it annoying. She would honestly feel very creeped out by it, how he would always just-... Be watching her. Taking it differently, she wouldn’t put up with it for long; Probably would take him to the side and just tell him this ain’t right and that he should back off. She can handle herself? Why the hell is Russ watching her for?? And when he says he just reminded him of their sibling, that it was just so natural for him to make sure she was alright- It clicks in Alphy’s mind. How he doesn’t tell her more indicates they lost their ‘Sibling’... So, these two end up having an awkward sibling relationship in the end, even if she knows she can’t replace ‘The Sibling’, at least knowing she’s giving Russ a good grip helps ease him into the Merged AU’s. Not to mention, having a good ‘SideEye’ helps her more than she realizes.
Regal would be the type who would begin to underhandedly tease her more; The feeling of nostalgic ordeal would pop up to where he couldn’t help it. It would be so natural to call her out on a simple mistake, or get her riled up over the stupidest shit, and then spar with her like he would his own Sister. It’s not replacing his Al, he misses her dearly; Missing this rivalry just makes him feel so much better having it in the Merged AU’s, due to the fact it gives him an actual sense of Security; Of Normality. But bet your ass he would be just like Russ in watching her, helping her secretly if she needed it, and just... Protecting her any way he could. He would miss his Sibling to the point it hurt. But, like he normally does; He hides that under the Sneering, the Bastard-Attitude, and the whole ‘I-Know-More-Than-You’ facade. Even through the fighting, through the roughhousing, if he knew this Al was down, he wouldn’t hesitate to make her smile; Easily doing it better than any of the other Skeletons. She doesn’t know how he does it, but US!Alphy wouldn’t care much either way, not questioning it besides being Frienemies.
All in all; The two would feel right at home more-so with This Alphy than any of the others. Just because she’s similar in their Teenage years, yet can handle herself like the Adult they see she can be. Russ will always have respect for his ‘Siblings’, no matter the AU... But Regal sees too much of their Actual Sister in this version.
Tale Alphy;
This... Is where both brothers would be very-... Confused at. One side knows it’s Alphy, but the small stature of her tells them she is completely different. Course she’s different, she’d be just how their Undyne would be, but so much shyer. Literally they both have to watch their words; Regal moreso than Russ.
Russ is the one who sees this Alphy as a Child, a Baby at first; He really can’t help it, memories of how his Baby Sister was, how small she used to be; He... Really can’t handle it. He’d WANT to cuddle her up and protection of her is almost like smothering. But, upon seeing her experiments, how lost she can get into work, how she blames herself for a lot of things... It brings out how he sees his Undyne in the area of work; Making him wanting to be there more as a Friend for her if he feels she’d need one.
Regal is the one who almost completely avoids her after a bad encounter. It’s mainly for his inability to take the whole ‘Stuttering’ and ‘Mumbling’ ordeal she brings, causing his irritation to rise and his tongue to lash out. Though after time, when he sees how passionate she can get, how confident she becomes when she knows the work she’s in and the explanation she does; Regal begins to hold a good respect for her. Takes a bit due to being in the same meeting rooms, along with his grudge against himself to always end up hurting her feelings, but... He’d rather not upset her than he has, though does get more protective of her just due to not wanting to verbally say sorry. When or if he finds her alone, either lost in thought or whatever it is; He’s quick to bring her home or walk with her, completely in silence. And if she talks, stutters, mumbles, he tries to ignore it... Until key words are picked up. When those words of doubts come up, of beating herself up, that’s when he gets semi-aggressive and telling her actual uplifting words. Even if he may be harsh about it, can’t be his normal rough-housing self with her, at least telling her truthfully about the things she CAN do helps; Well... He feels better seeing her smile with joyful tears, rather than seeing he caused her more pain.
All for this Tales Alphy; It’s a mixture between Friend and Sister vibe... They’re very unsure how to handle it, but once they find a good footing with her; They stay very good friends with Tale Alphy’s, because she may look like their Sister; But she’s got the Heart of their Friend.
Thanks for asking!!! This was seriously really warm to make and create!!! ♥ And yes, SF!Alphy has been-... Either... Missing or put into an Insane Asylum where other Monsters go. I have yet figured it out :’)
#Swapfell Red#Swapfell#Undertale#Undertale AU#Maiuo#Ask Mai#SF!Papyrus#SF!Sans#Russ in Big Bro Mode all the way for any of them#Then again; Becomes Best Friend for an Undyne ordeal#Regal is the one who doesn't understand how to rightfully deal with UT!Alphy at ALL#But US!Alphy? How would the skeletons react to meeting their soulmate in the underground after falling down the hole on the mountain?
SansHonestly it took him by surprise but he’s pretty good at shrugging it off and continuing on like normal. He thinks it must be a mistake until the tug on his soul doesn’t let up. Everyone else can see just how much he’s helping you out and he seems to be spending a lot of time with you. He just wants to make sure that you're ok and safe.
PapyrusHe can’t help himself from hugging you mid speech changing from the explanation of the puzzle to how excited he is to meet you. Of course you have no idea what he is talking about not having soulmates above ground, or at least not tangible evidence of them. He becomes real nervous at your reaction but your excitement over his puzzle makes him forget it pretty quickly. He’ll later explain to you about soulmates with the help from his brother and tells you he won’t pressure you into being with him but he’s here for you if you need help underground.
RedHe didn’t even know he had a soulmate, he always assumed he wouldn’t. He’s frozen in place when he first sees you, cutting himself off halfway through his speech to just stare and try to process it. When you finally snap him out of it he just disappears. He’s freaking out in his bedroom before he remembers that he left you alone underground! He spends some time tracking you down and then insisting that you stay in the house. It’s dangerous here and he just found you, he doesn’t want you to die here. He’s beating himself up a lot though, he would rather not have a soulmate then to have them stuck in this hell.
EdgeFirst he thinks the feeling is just excitement over seeing and capturing a human, but after it doesn’t go away while you sit waiting in the makeshift holding cell of the garage he realises it’s something else. He refuses to accept it but after a few weeks just yelling at you, which eventually turns into talking to you he realises it’s real and he has to find a way to make it up to you. He plans a disastrous date where everything seems to go wrong but you laugh it off like this is the best date you’ve ever had and he can’t help but fall deeper for you.
BlueIs torn. His job is to hunt down and bring in humans and here you are a human who just happens to be his soulmate. He tries pushing away his feelings to bring you in to Alphys but he just can’t bring himself to do it. He chooses instead to show you around the underground and convince both the captain of the royal guard and the queen herself that you deserve to live down there with him. He will not abandon you.
OrangeIs very smooth about the whole thing. You probably just think his natural personality is flirty, and it is, but he steps it up for you. Really he thinks that this whole thing is a fluke and he may be trying to unconsciously self sabotage by appearing unappealing. He keeps trying to push you towards other people and although he seems open he has cut himself off. He doesn’t want you to be disappointed in him and is positive that although your his soulmate he isn’t yours.
BerryThinks that this is impossible and in fact the mere motion of it makes him immediately attack you. You weren’t exactly expecting a fight this soon making it easy for Berry to take you down, it is his job after all, but for some reason he can’t bring himself to finish you off. You basically become the house maid for a while as he struggles with his emotions and his duty. Having you in the house though will just slowly win him over, let’s just hope you can forgive him after everything he’s done
SyrupThinks that the tug he feels in his soul is because you're someone new. He doesn’t really think too much on it but he does find himself following you from the shadows and helping you out. He becomes sort of like your guardian angel and is definitely the only reason you’ve stayed alive this long. It’s only when you become friends with his brother that he realises that the feelings aren’t going away and that you are his soulmate. He is going to spend some time trying to win you over.

Judge and Jury
Set after a pacifist neutral ending. (Only Asgore is dead)
Not long after the queen returned, she called a meeting of all Asgore’s old employees. It made sense to, right? Gotta figure out who’s assigned to do what and who’s got tasks they weren’t supposed to chat about and all that jazz.
Sans very nearly didn’t come. But Tori knew he worked as a sentry, so if he didn’t show, she’d notice, and he really didn’t want them finally actually meeting to be marred by her disappointment at his work ethic.
...Or that was what he’d tell other people, if they asked. Truth was, Sans’ sense of duty ran a lot deeper than he let most people pick up on. He’d always cared deeply about the kingdom and the people in it. It was why he’d been chosen as Judge, actually. Because he had both the compassion to choose mercy when it was right and the resolve to fight when necessary.
He still didn’t know whether he’d made the right decision with the human, even though he knew both Asgore and Toriel would approve, if he explained.
Not that he could explain anything to Asgore, now.
...Dammit, he missed the big guy. And the human would still have kept going even if Sans had fought them, sure. They had too much DT to do otherwise, but it didn’t stop him from feeling like even more of a useless shit than usual.
Anyway, the meeting. He went.
Looking around, he could see that not everyone had. Two of the Hotland guards had skipped, along with the Temmies. The latter might be for the best, in all honesty. Even Sans, who was probably the most informed monster in the Underground even before Asgore kicked it, had never been made aware what exactly the Tems did. The few cryptic hints they’d given him over the years had only made him want to know less.
The attendees included all of the Snowdin Guard (including him and Papyrus, the sentries), Undyne, two guards from hotland who he didn’t know all that well, Alphys, and a couple monsters from New home who served in administrative capacities.
Toriel made a speech about how, while she would be dismantling the Royal Guard, she had plans to keep many of them on the payroll as a police force, which shouldn’t be too big a change from their previous duties. (While the Royal Guard ostensibly existed to capture humans, they fell far too rarely for an entire force dedicated solely to capturing them to make sense, so they also acted as a disciplinary force)
Sans made plans to talk with Undyne about letting Papyrus into the new force, since he doubted she’d realize that this removed any reason to keep him off. (Papyrus was pretty much the ideal cop, in Sans’ opinion. Hard to be a criminal when he was so freakin’ nice)
Undyne would be remaining the Captain, apparently. Despite her actions in attempting to capture the human, she’d been acting for the good of her people, and so long as she didn’t let “the ends justify the means” act as an excuse for cruelty again, Tori had no issue with her.
Or that’s what she said, at least. Sans suspected that it was more because Tori didn’t know anyone well enough to appoint a captain who’d be better than Undyne, so she just didn’t bother.
Then she went through the administrators, having them explain their roles and their duties. She didn’t immediately change much there, probably wanting to get a feel for how the kingdom had changed in her absence first, which seemed reasonable.
She had a brief discussion with Alphys as well, and he got the sense that there was definitely more of that to come later. Toriel seemed like the type to expect regular reports from her Royal Scientist, and Sans wondered how long she’d be able to keep the DT experiments a secret with actual oversight.
Then came the part he’d been dreading, where Toriel turned to him.
“Forgive me, old friend, but I do not actually know all of the jobs you worked for Asgore?” There was nothing but polite curiosity in her tone, and he knew she probably wasn’t expecting him to say much more than “sentry”. He’d hinted a few times that his real role is a bit more than that, which was probably the only reason she was asking at all, but he knew she’d probably never guess his real role in her wildest dreams.
“eh, fair. i kinda do a lot,” he was being deliberately vague, unable to resist delaying this revelation for just a few extra moments. Alphys met his gaze, and he could tell she understood.
“Yes, but what, precisely?” Toriel asked, getting that glint in her eye he recognized from every parent he’d ever spoken to. Say what you will about people with kids, but they knew when you dodged a question.
“well, i’m a sentry in snowdin, waterfall, and hotland,” He was, indeed, a sentry in all of those places. It wasn’t like he was lying, just… omitting a detail. Next to him, Papyrus narrowed his eyes slightly, because Papyrus could smell Sans fudging the truth from miles away at this point. He didn’t say anything, though, since he knew it was rude to talk out of turn in a meeting like this. (Sans had briefed him, beforehand, on the social niceties that would be involved)
Toriel just looked mildly startled, presumably thinking of the commute between regions, since he’d never really talked to her about his shortcuts. (He’d never really talked to anyone about his shortcuts, just used them and let them draw their own conclusions)
“You manned three stations? That seems like quite a lot,” Heh, she had no idea.
“eh, i manage,” He could see from Tori’s face that she doubted that, but she was polite and didn't say so.
“S-Sans,” Oh, great. Alphys was glaring at him the way she did when he was being an idiot, and he supposed that he kinda deserved it. No way Tori wasn’t gonna ask who the Judge was at some point, y’know? It wasn’t really a role the kingdom could do without.
“I-if. If you d-don’t tell her, she’ll, she’ll find it in the r-records and then it’ll b-be awkward,” Sans looked to the side.
“i mean, bold of you to assume i wouldn’t just doctor ‘em if i wanted it to be a secret,” Several people in the room looked mildly alarmed, and he wasn’t sure why. He was only implying he had the means to easily edit some of the most highly secured documents in the kingdom, after all. Lol.
“Sans,” Alphys hissed. He knew she was being serious because she didn’t stutter on his name at all, and she only tended to forget to when she was totally pissed. Apparently this actually mattered to her, then. Or maybe she just didn’t want him to get caught in a lie the way she had been, which was a nice sentiment, if misplaced.
“yeah, ok. so i’m not just a sentry,” He admitted. Toriel’s eyebrows drew together into a slightly concerned expression.
“Sans, exactly how many jobs do you work?”
“well, if the sentries are all separate, that’s three. then there’s the semi illegal hotdog stand, but i do that at the hotland station, so i’m not really sure if it counts as its own thing. i also do comedy gigs at mettaton’s hotel sometimes, and then there’s, uh, the one alph was talking about,” His expression slid into something vaguely sheepish and he rubbed at the back of his skull with a gloved hand. He really didn’t want to talk about this, necessary as it may be.
“And what job would that be, Sans?” Toriel asked politely. She was being nice about it, but he could tell she was getting a bit annoyed at his evasion.
Sans placed his hands in his lap, looking her straight in the eye with a serious expression. He kept his tone serious, too, so she’d know he was telling the truth.
“I’m the Judge.” He ended his sentence with a period, even though he knew it wasn’t strictly proper. He’d always liked the finalty a period conveys.
Toriel’s eyes widened, along with Undyne’s. Sans had been pretty surprised when Asgore had said he didn’t want to disclose Sans’ identity to the Captain, but the late King had explained that, while he trusted her unconditionally, he knew Sans wanted to keep his role on the downlow, and Undyne wasn’t exactly chosen for her skills at subtlety.
Sans didn’t see even a speck of surprise in his brother’s expression, which filled him with pride. He’d never outright told Pap about his job, but he’d always been more perceptive than he let on, and Sans had been pretty sure he’d known. This basically confirmed it.
“You never mentioned that,” Says Tori, looking like she felt a bit betrayed but was trying to hide it.
“nothing personal, tor. i just, uh, strongly dislike talking about it,” Sans said, attempting to reassure her. It was the truth. Sans had always loathed people who used high status positions like Judge to get extra privileges or whatever, and he disliked the fear the Judge was regarded with even more. (He’d known the old Judge, and he’d seen the way the guy got treated by those around him. It wasn’t anything he wanted for himself)
Toriel looked mollified by his admission, meanwhile Undyne was still gaping like a fish because she knew both his stats and the things he’d done during his tenure as Judge, and was probably having difficulty reconciling the two seemingly conflicting accounts in her mind.
“I see. Well, we will certainly need to discuss this later, but perhaps it might be better to do so in private,” Wonderful. At least then he’d only be revealing the extremely personal information that had to do with his job to one person, rather than literally everyone employed by Asgore.
On that note, he was pretty sure that the news of him being the Judge would be all over the underground within hours of this meeting’s conclusion, so that was fun.
Man could he not wait for the reset.

How CowTale Came to Be
or How to Give Sans An Existential Crisis
(important-ish to note, Sans remembers resets in this. also this is hella long)
So as most of these stories go, it all starts when Frisk falls into the Underground. Everything proceeds as normal. Flowey is a jerk, Toriel is GoatMom™. Alphys loves anime. Mettaton wants to be a star. Sans is a hoodie and slipper wearing skeleton. Neutral runs happen. Chara asserts themselves and genocides happen. Frisk fights back and pacifist runs happen. Every time they make it past the barrier, Frisk resets before they can make it down the mountain.
Then things get... weird. Things go way off script. For the most part it seems normal, except some weird changes in dialogue. But then as the end grows closer, things change drastically. Chara and Asriel are... resurrected? They have their own bodies now, formed around their souls that came from somewhere. No one really understands where the souls came from or how the bodies formed. It just kinda, happened. Flowey becomes his own entity, carries pieces of Asriel, but is his own being. He doesn’t seem to have a soul, yet it kinda seems like he could? Another thing that makes no sense, and is a point of concern for Sans and Frisk. Its all so strange and wrong, but everyone seems happy about so what can or should they do but carry on? In one final pacifist run, the barrier is broken and they leave the mountain. But the world isn’t how Frisk remembers. Everything is so... old. Like a western from afternoon television. Frisk explains this to Sans, they’re scared and they don’t know what happened. After some back and forth, they agree that Frisk should do one more reset. See if maybe this was all a strange fluke.
It wasn’t. Everything happens again. Strange and off, and they emerge to the same strange off world. Frisk is the only one who really understands what they’re missing, and Sans understands things are off, but has no first hand experience. But the things they had in the Undergound don’t fit here. This seems more like what they had decades ago. So they go to Asgore and Toriel together and try to explain as best they can. They leave out the resets, or that their children should still be dead. But they tell them something in the process of saving everyone and breaking the barrier time went weird. They seem to have come out about 150 years back from when Frisk went in. Frisk studied this time in school, the Old West, so they aren’t completely clueless, but this is definitely not their time. It’s decided to tell everyone that the world isn’t what they expected but they’re going to do their best to make it work regardless. Monster kind is strangely accepting of the things missing, generally chalking it up to magic science weirdness and moving on.
So they settle. They build themselves a home around the mountain. Some choose to stay within it. Content now that they can come and go as they please. The first few humans they meet are not exactly kind, but not immediately hostile at least. The king and queen (separated still, but cooperating with one another for the good of monster kind) meet the local government. At first it seems like things will go bad, but then talk of gold happens. And the tone shifts. Monsters have gold? And a lot of it? Suddenly they’re talking to the nations government rather than just the local. And lines are set. The mountain and surrounding areas belong to the monsters. They’re welcome to venture out into the rest of the world, so long as the know that by doing so they take their lives into their own hands. You won’t be hunted by the government, and they’ll receive the same basic rights, but there will be no special protections. No one looking out for them. This is accepted as the best they’ll get. Things settle and it seems like life will be ok.
Then things get weird again. The core goes strange, and so does the machine in the basement. Readings become next to impossible to make sense of and power fluctuates wildly. And suddenly, there’s more of them. More monsters. Sort of? The same monsters? Just different. Again, something that shouldn’t be and makes no sense. Over the course of a year or so, they’d just occasionally pop up. No rhyme or reason. Base world Asgore and Toriel are called in to help sort out the mess, as alternate versions of everyone they knew start appearing. It isn’t consistent. One group might bring their human child, while another doesn’t. That bunch has a Grillby but no Muffet or vice versa. More royals? Why not, but apparently not all of them. The only ones who seem to come through every time are a given worlds Sans and Papyrus. Without fail, the skeletons show. The “base” versions of each monster was put in charge of “themselves”. Getting the assorted royals to work together took some time, but somehow they managed. Some monsters had an easier go of it then others, but being free and on the surface seemed to smooth a lot of ruffled feathers. It worked out. Sort of, and strangely. But it was working.
Sans feels like he’s losing his mind. There’s at least a dozen versions of him and his brother. The world is all wrong. Nothing makes sense. This isn’t even how that machine was supposed to work, right? He can’t be sure of anything anymore. All he knows is he has too damn many copies of himself to wrangle.
And then the weird ones show up. Dream isn’t too bad. The less said about Fresh the better. He’s grateful to have only passingly run into Error. “Enjoying the shit show” apparently, whatever that meant. He knows Nightmare was around at one point, but never actually came face to face with him. And then there was Ink.
Ink wasn’t so bad as a person, he supposed. A bit off, but tolerable. Yet another nuisance that could come and go as he pleased apparently. But he seemed like he meant no harm. When asked he just said “Checking on the creator’s work.” That one sentence was all it took to send a chill down Sans’ spine. When pushed Ink explained. They hadn’t ever really left their own verse, technically. It wasn’t some strange reset-caused time warp. They’d been copied over. Original Sans and the Original Underground all still existed in their original world. They were all just copies. Same for everyone else. Their own worlds went on just the same, with them still in them. Carrying on as they were meant to. Everyone here had just been, copy/pasted over, barring of course himself and the others who existed outside the worlds. Tossed into a world together and then “flavored”. Flavored “Old Wild West” apparently. Because they weren’t interesting enough on their own?
Why? And how? And what was the point?
As for how, well the multiverse theory always stated, an infinite number of possibilities. Why not this one?
But why?
Bullshit wish fulfillment.
That was why. That was the point.
“Such is the whim of the creator.”
It would take a long damn time for Sans to come to terms with this. He eventually broke and confided in his brother. Papyrus being Papyrus told Sans it didn’t matter. So what if they weren’t real to someone else. They were real to themselves. They were real to each other. This was there life. And could they know if anyone ever really had control. Any version of any person in any world. How can you ever be entirely certain your life is your own to live? Your choices your own to make? You just have to accept that you can’t know, and then choose to live anyway. Keep moving forward. Keep living your life. Because if you just quit, if you just give up, then you’ve truly lost yourself. Don’t worry about it. Just live.
So there you have it. The messy story of how one meddlesome creator wanted to make a world suited to their taste, and didn’t much care how or what the implications might mean. What does it matter? None of its real anyway right?

UT UF and mafiafell sans + US and SF papyrus (i think its 5 the limit?) when they hear a sneeze for the first time? It's from their crush or S/O and it is the cutest little kitten sneeze EVER.
(well I sound like a man when I sneeze-)
UT!Sans:
Here where you live, winter can be really rough for everyone, even for its inhabitants, so it is perfect for the monsters that lived in Snowdin, it makes them feel closer to their old land and less homesick.
Since that you have a relationship with Sans, you hang out a lot in his house in winter. It’s so warm and cozy! Much more than you rented apartment.
And his brother is such a sweetheart! He cooks for you every time you go to their house and you don’t have to move one single muscle. You are their guest after all.~
However, one of the many problems you have to face in the winter is the famous colds. Being you a very touchy person, you always catch at least one cold at this season. Poor you.
It’s the first cold you have since you date Sans and he got very worried about you. Are you sick? Is it dangerous? There is any cure? Please tell him you aren’t going to die!!
“No, Sans, I am not going to die”
You explain to him what exactly a cold is and that there’s nothing to worry about. It’s not dangerous or mortal, but it’s very contagious, so it’s better if he and his brother keep the distance until you’re better. You don’t know who dangerous human diseases can be for monsters. Better safe than sorry.
Of course, they’ll do exactly the opposite. You are sick! They can just stay away from you and wait until “you’re better”! They’re going to help you heal faster, even if you want it or not! Now, tell the great Papyrus what to cook for a human with a cold!
Sans is still a bit worried about you, but since you are taking your medicine, he guesses it’s okay.
You are watching TV in his house, his brother out for his first training in the gym with Undyne, when you sneeze for the first time beside him. He gets alarmed and quickly looks at you.
Oh Gosh, are you getting worse?? Do you need something?? Is that normal?? Do you need a doctor?? He can get Alphys right now!! Do you need her??
You don’t get it, why is acting like that with a sneeze, you explained to him what a cold ar- ooooh, you didn’t tell him the symptoms of it.
Ok, your bad.
You tell him what a sneeze is and how normal is to sneeze when someone has a cold. It’s your body trying to help itself, so there’s nothing to worry about.
He calms down and watches you sneeze again. An urge to laugh appears in his chest, if that is a sneeze, is the cutest thing he ever heard, it’s perfect for you. He doesn’t laugh though, maybe you can get offended-
Then you sneeze again, and again, and again. Oh no, it’s a sneeze attack! Despite trying to not laugh even if the urge is rising, Sans’ love is defeated and he bursts of laughter, telling sorry to you internally.
You immediately realize why he’s laughing. He’s making fun of you! This always happens! In spite of start telling him off, you are interrupted by another sneeze, sending your boyfriend to another wave of incessant laughter, wheezing and crying.
You get mad and start hitting him with the sofa pillow, only for him to laugh even more. HOW DARE HE?
The hitting gets stronger and speedy and instead of taking it, Sans grasps the pillow, sending it to the corner of the room, and hugs you tightly, kissing your cheek while giggling.
You continue to tell him off, but give up sooner than expected and accept the half cuddling half joking, huffing at the situation.
Oh man, you really are something else, aren’t you?
US!Papyrus:
You. Hate. SUMMER.
REALLY, WHY GOD HAD TO GIVE HUMANS SUCH SEASON?
SWEATY PEOPLE, UNBEARABLE HEAT, MOSQUITOES EVERYWHERE!
HHHHHHHH YOU HATE SUMMER SO MUCH.
But your friend seems to disagree, surprisingly.
Papyrus never really liked the cold temperature in Snowdin. His hoody is warm, but not that much, and his only source of heat in Snowdin was Muffet’s and his house, so this warmth is always welcomed around his bones.
Besides, his brother can only use the baby pool in the summer. So, no grumpy attitude, you don’t want to bother the cinnamon roll, do you?
“*huffs* Alright, no complaining.”
Good human.
Unfortunately, your house is pretty hot in the summer, so you decided to provide yourself, after saving a lot, a
*beats the drums*
Air conditioner!
YES, THE SOLUTION OF ONE OF YOUR PROBLEMS IN SUMMER.
YAAAYYY?????
Well, at least the house is fresh now as well as your will to live in the summer.
Now it’s bearable to live on this planet.
One day, you are taking the cooling from the AC by being directly in front of it. You regret nothing, not even the flu you caught, it felt like heaven.
Papyrus is looking through the window to the backyard, catching the sun’s warmth while watching Sans playing with your cousin, Chara, in the green grass of the backyard.
Papyrus looks at you. Your eyes closed while appreciating the cool air from the machine, your hair fluttering graciously.
He looks at the window again. What he wouldn’t give to have the courage to ask you out…
Suddenly, his thoughts are cut short by a strange noise. It’s unknown to him what it was, but it sounded like a baby animal, like…like a kitten.
He gets pretty confused with this, it couldn’t have been Sans, he doesn’t do that type of sound. So, what it was? You have a kitten in your backyard and told him anything? How could you, you know he loves animals!
You catch Papyrus looking for something at the opened door beside the window he was standing. It looks like he is searching for something in the backyard. But what?
You ask him what happened and he tells you that he heard something very strange, something he never heard before. He’s searching for the source of it, it can be a lost baby animal or something.
You get concerned with it, did someone just dropped a baby in your backyard and ran way the last night? How cruel! You will fucking kill that perso-
Your concerns get interrupted by another sneeze and Papyrus looks at you, shocked. YOU WERE THE SOURCE.
BUT, BUT HOW??
IT IS POSSIBLE FOR A HUMAN TO DO SUCH SOUND????
Your eyes meet his face and you automatically understand why he’s so shocked. A playful, more for teasing, tone plays in your vocal cords.
“Was this what you heard?”
He nods with his head, quite perplexed. You knew it. A soft laugh makes its way out of your mouth.
You explain to him that what he heard was a sneeze and what it is. You don’t get mad at him. There’s no reason to get mad at him for thinking that it was a baby animal, he never heard a sneeze before…and you’re pretty aware of your “situation”.
The sneezes are definitely due to you being in front of the air conditioner, so you stand up before you catch a cold and go get some ice creams for the two of you.
Papyrus looks again to the backyard, blushing with a puppy love smile in his face.
If only you knew how cute you are…
UF!Sans:
Papyrus was never a person of peace, when you met him, he was beating the crap up of some insolent drunks who treated him bad for being a monster.
You can’t believe there are still people like that in the world. What is this? The dark age? Hello?! Wake up! If you don’t want monsters near you, move to other planet or something. Or at least say nothing to them, they don’t care about you anyway.
A burning flame quickly light up between the two of you and quickly died in both your souls, the ashes are the only thing that was left, and after almost killing each other like madmen, you decide to still being friends despite everything that happened.
Gosh, he can be a true asshole sometimes, y'know.
But at least the relationship was long enough for you to meet his family: his brother Sans.
Seems nothing like Papyrus at all, not just for the looks, but for the humor and…well… behavior at all.
You gotta admit, he’s less asshole than his brother.
Soon enough, you turned up to be good friends at the skelebros, like everyone in town called them, and trusted them with your whole being, just like they do to you too.
As I said, Papyrus was never a person of peace, and this time he just got himself into a hole as deep as the Underground entrance:
Gangs fight.
Don’t even ask me how he did it, he just got caught in the middle for not shutting up when he should.
This afternoon he’s going to solve this for once and for all, probably fighting with the other dumbasses with the help of Undyne or something.
Let’s be clear, he’s strong, but not enough for 20 guys each side, alright?
And instead of asking you to fight with him too, so you can beat the shit out of Billy, that motherfucker, he asked you to stay home with his brother so if someone tries to force their way in you will stop them and protect Sans.
Because the little brother doesn’t trust the other enough to be alone in the Surface yet.
Like Sans can’t protect himself! He got this big ass skulls called “Gaster Blasters” or whatever and you have to protect him!
Fuck you, Papyrus, fuck you.
At least he’s sleeping at your side while you’re watching Mettaton chase someone with a chainsaw in the Candid Camera.
Out of the blue, you sneeze strongly, waking up Sans who gets startled enough for his red eye to lit up. You sneeze again and he looks at you, scared. It’s just…you? The tornado in his brain calms down and his eye gets off.
He almost had a heart attack because of you! Well…if he had any heart, that is.
But there’s a question that is nagging on the corner of his head.
“What the hell as that sound?”
You look at him, internally surprised that he woke up already. You thought you would have to hit him with his pet rock sooner or later.
“What, never heard a sneeze, butthead?”
He says no, he never heard something like that, but for someone like you, all tough and more alike Papyrus that you would like to admit, it’s the cutest thing he ever heard.
Screams are heard from the TV, but they are not loud enough to cover your cute as well laugh, neither the “fuck you” you give him, turning to the TV again. Jeez, Mettaton really cut that monster in half. Oh, nevermind, it regenerated.
Sincerely? Sans don’t give a shit about humans and their stupid ass behaviors and body reactions. But he remembers what a sneeze sounds like, you know why?
Because he asks you out for the first time that afternoon, right after telling you that “no, I would like to do something else”. Now that is something you never forget.
SF!Papyrus:
He was always a curious monster, very, very curious.
Too curious for his own good.
And when the monsters were freed by some random child, his curiosity grown even more.
He looked like a little kid whose parents gave a new video game console! So much to see and explore! So much he doesn’t know about and wants to meet!
This. Is. HEAVEN.
But one thing that really caught his attention was humans.
How does their body work? What behaviors they have that monsters don’t? Do they grow up and get older like monsters or it’s a different process? What type of food they eat? What-
Alright, Papy, we get it.
Life seemed to smile at the skeleton, as he met the perfect person to answer his questions.
You, a kind human, and later on, his wondrous lover.
You got intimate with each other at the speed of light and very soon you’re both sleeping in the same bed in your house. It’s so good having someone who treats you well and doesn’t agree when you say you’re a failure.
Papyrus isn’t able to sleep tonight, he already turned and turned around in the bed, but it’s away to hot for him to sleep, so he gets up to cool a bit.
While he gets his t-shirt off, he observes you, peacefully in your slumber. You are so lovely, so pretty, and those cheeks are so big that he could bite them all day! 💗
Then he has kind of a crazy question: how humans react to stimulus in their sleep? Is his sleepiness talking or curiosity decided to visit him in such hour at daybreak?
Oh well, is not like he has something better to do…or something to do at all.
He then remembers: you are such an extravagant person, he had seen you amounts of times hearing that blue jacket with feathers.
He remembers when you received that jacket. Hapstablook made it for Napstaton, but he didn’t want to hear that “thing”, like he called it, because it is not his style, so he gave it to you. That way, Hapstablook’s work wasn’t in vain.
And oh shit, you really love that ugly jacket. Why? Who knows.
He goes to your closet and pulls out a feather from the jacket, making the effort to not make any noise so you won’t wake up.
You are such a cute, ticklish person! Maybe you have he can tickle you in your sleep too-
Then he sees you are awake, supporting yourself in your elbow while looking at him with an amused smile.
You just saw him riping out the feather from the jacket….
He’s a dead man, isn’t he?
He tries desperately to explain himself to you. That he didn’t mean to just…screw up the jacket. Fuck the jacket! I mean- ugh, damn the nervousness.
And damn the curiosity for that matter.
You laugh at his expression and tell me he doesn’t have to worry about that, you can just stitch up the feather back. But…
Why the hell he wants that feather?
Truth comes up with a blush in his bones and you laugh once more at all his shy body movement. You make room in the bed for him to sit up. You don’t think you can fall asleep so soon now that you woke up so you two can cuddle or make some small talk to be distracted.
Now that he’s sitting at your side, you take the feather from his hand. You ask him if we want to see something interesting, something that he (probably) has never seen before.
Oh no, what are you planning this time? Do you want curiosity to eat him whole? Was that just a “good person” mask?
Oh man, are you going to beat his ass up?
Instead, you tickle your own nose with the feather and sneeze in front of him.
O. m. g
You swear is eye holes get bigger.
You can easily compare his reaction to the ones you get when you are fangirling over some character on a game. He’s completely marveled by what he just heard.
OMG OMG OMG THAT IS JUST THE MOST ADORABLE THING OVER HE’S SO HAPPY YOU ARE HIS LOVER YOU ARE PERFECT IN EVERY ASPECT HE WANTS TO HOLD YOU BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU AND HUMANS ARE SO INTERESTING AND YOU ARE ONE SO YOU ARE INTERESTING BUT YOU ARE MORE INTERESTING THAN THE OTHER AND-
DO. THAT. AGAIN.
You chuckle at his request and do it again, seeing his mood lifting up everytime you do this.
After all, who needs sleep anyways.
MF!Sans:
Mr. Red is a very busy monster, he doesn’t have time to analyze precisely or even care about insignificant things like the human body or even humans at all.
However, sometimes at some…”works” he has to do, he has to listen very carefully to everything’s around him, so he doesn’t get spotted and knows exactly when to attack.
But sneezes is something he never heard, especially from you.
You are a very quiet thing, that’s for sure. You didn’t choose to be the lover of a Mob, but you didn’t choose as well who fall in love with.
Same for Sans, so many hot, trustfull monsters out there that we could fall in love with and it had to be a human?
Oh God help him.
Nonetheless, you have the incredible ability to support all the shit a life in Mafia brings, so it’s not dangerous bullshit that will make you stay away from your monster.
Silence is the key and Sans knows that. He’s so happy that his soul chose a smart person for him to care about.
And for being quiet, you attend a lot of meetings with him (even if you don’t want too because no way you are staying home alone without him or some security).
This meeting now is on some strange club, you would say that is the typical place to get drugged and fuck some whores without having the problem of taking care of the child after the fun, but Sans is not some junkie you see out there in the streets killing themselves with a needle.
You go to a balcony, a calmer place where cigarette’s smoke fills your lungs. So many men in suits in here, so many family men, so many merciless killers, so many possible targets. Even the employees have another type of aura, so must more sophisticated.
The meeting happens normally, so many things being talked about while you just appreciate the arm around your shoulders silently.
While the meeting is occurring, a waitress passes by the sofa you are sitting on. The feather scarf visits your nose and tickles it softly. You try to stop it from coming, but you are weaker than your own body, so your kitten sneeze exits abruptly your lungs.
You can say with certainty that you scared everyone in the meeting, not for being a scary noise, that it isn’t, but for showing that you actually made a noise. Heck, are you capable of doing noises??
All the eyes in the room are placed on you with perplexed faces, especially your boyfriend.
Yep, not intimidating at all.
You look at them with surprise as well, your blush covered by the dark lights, but end up sneezing again.
Everyone in the start slowly laughing at you, how can a person in the Mafia, especially Mr. Red, date such thing as you? What a little doll you are, what are you doing with a Mob?
Not all bad boys are dateable for people like you.
Sans senses that their laughing is not just because the situation is funny, it’s because they are making fun of you. He sees that you are uncomfortable with it, you didn’t mean it. Not at all.
You look down at the floor, not knowing how to react at all the mean mouths. You date a Mob, you should know who to react, not be embarrassed by it, but...
The laughing starts to calm down. Sans gets up from his seat, oddly relaxed, and looks at everyone in the room with a smile.
“Gentlemen.”
He takes the gun out and shoots everyone in the head, one by one. You don’t even know how no one had the speed to react in time but....they didn’t.
He offers you his hand to get up from the sofa and you take it, getting up and exiting the building with him, his arm around your waist.
You know you should not be surprised by the scene you just watched, but...you are.
You ask him why he did it. It was because you sneezed and they made fun of you? You certainly feel warm for that but he shouldn’t.
He doesn’t answer you, just smirks and take a cigar out of his pocket.
“You know, one of the things that I love in you, it’s your cuteness.”
“Never forget that.”

Sleepy Dream [Part 2]
Fandom: Undertale AU
Part two of this. Part three here.
Characters: Dream, Science!Sans, WD Gaster
warnings: cursing
word count: 1,883
Summary: Dream decides to go to Sci for help.
A month later, and Dream was definitely sure that it wasn’t because of the timelines they’d been fighting to protect. He’d managed to convince Stretch of that though, and the Swap Papyrus had stopped gently poking him. But Dream had no idea what was wrong… And the positive guardian could admit, at least to himself, that he needed someone else’s help in figuring out what was going on. But who had the expertise and the ability? Not to mention the access to whatever resources he might need to deal with whatever was wrong. While he could tell Ink about the issue… Dream grimaced a little. The artistic skeleton wasn’t his first choice for talking about such an issue with. Mostly because he was pretty sure that Ink would just laugh it off, pat him on the head and tell him to take a nap.
He was currently wandering around in a pretale, hiding from the monsters in the underground per Ink’s rules of only Sanses and Papyri getting involved in the multiversal shenanigans - as the more beings aware of them in a single AU, the more likely that Error was to notice where they were. Or at least, that’s what the other said was true… And Dream had no reason not to believe the other. His eye lights brighten as he realized that the Science Sans of this AU was already aware of the multiverse and a good friend and ally of Ink’s… And someone who Dream was relatively sure he could trust with this issue.
The positive guardian waited until Sci was on his lunch break - and from the looks of it, he’d grabbed enough Grillby’s for the entire team beneath the Royal Scientist (who was a Gaster currently, if Dream wasn’t mistaken), shadowing the other until he was walking through an empty spot in Waterfall before calling out “Hey Sci! Uhm… Can I talk to you for a minute?”
Sci turned around, his eye lights widening a little, before a bright smile appeared on his face “Oh, heya Dream! Got a new gadget that you want me to take apart and put back together? There shouldn’t be anyone else around during this time - everyone’s either at work or sleeping.”
“Ah… No. Actually I was… I was hoping if you could help me with a personal issue, actually.” Dream started, fidgeting with his hands a little “I’ve been having some issues keeping my energy levels up to where they normally are and I don’t know why. I’m not hurt and as far as I know, I didn’t pick up any negative stat effects or curses.”
Sci hummed a little, frowning a bit “How long’s this been going on? Can you tell me what your signs and symptoms are?”
The positive spirit sighed a little, explaining what he’d noticed… And finished semi reluctantly with “And this has been happening for about three months now. The passive MP and energy loss is… About 10 MP per hour. I’ve been snacking on monster candy and cinnabunnies to counteract that but… It’s starting to become less effective. Also while sleeping for eight hours does restore me back to full MP, that only lasts for about three hours - less if I get into a fight.”
“That’s… How much MP do you even have if a loss of 10 MP an hour isn’t a noticeable dip in power? Stars above, Dream. That could be really dangerous!” Sci sputtered, his eye lights shrinking to panicked pinpricks for a moment “Of course I’ll help you. I’ll… If you’re not physically hurt, it could indicate that you might have… I’ll need to check your Soul.”
Dream winced at that, fidgeting a little. Most people had really strange reactions to seeing it. Given the fact that it was colored, I'm not in the shape of a normal, for either a human or a monster. The fact was that Dream was neither, but he tended not to like to think of that fact as it was simply easier for him to be assumed to be just a normal skeleton monster. It was a lot easier and to allow others to make assumptions then to explain the truth and have to go into details about his past that he did not want to speak about to anyone ever. “I… ok. Will you be able to run the tests during the day, or should I come back when you're off-shift?”
“Dream, I know that you and Ink have this no-interference policy. And I can understand why it’s in place. But this could be a very serious issue. I’ll be the one taking the data and looking it over, but I’m going to have to report this to my boss - because I’m going to have to be using some of the Soul equipment which none of us are allowed to do except under certain circumstances. A… Condition like yours being one of them. I’ll only tell Doc G though. And he’s good. A little weird, but he’s good. Trust me on this, I’m an excellent judge of character. He’ll also be helping me look at the data as he’s got a lot more experience with these things than I do.” Sci explained, suddenly grabbing one of Dream’s wrists and teleporting the two of them directly in front of the labs. The younger skeleton fumbled with his keycard for a moment before swiping it and marching the both of them into the top floor of the labs.
The Dr. Alphys was on the floor, along with several other monsters whose names Dream did not know off of the top of his head. In the middle of all of them, quietly talking to the Alphys, was a Dr. Gaster. He was just as tall and intimidating as any other Gaster who Dream had tentatively peeked at from behind a tree (or Ink) and the positive guardian dug his heels in for a moment “Sc… Saaaans!” He fussed, tugging at the other before stumbling forwards, an unhappy groan coming from the back of his throat as he realized that he was wholly incapable of stopping the younger skeleton from dragging him around like a ragdoll. He called the other Sans, rather than his nickname as this was going to be strange enough as it was.
“Uh… Sans… Who’ve you got there? I didn’t realize there were any other skeletons in the underground about from the doc, you and your brother…” A snake-like monster spoke up, moving towards the two of them curiously.
“That’s because he’s not from the Underground. Or this universe. Everyone, this is Dream the source and protector of all positive feelings in the multiverse. He’s in dire need of help and may be dying a little bit. Here’s the grub, I’m going to be on sub level five - and he’s not gonna react well to being poked and prodded by anyone but me. Don’t ask me how or why I know him, just that I do.” Sci explained, throwing the bags of Grillby’s at the cat monster - who caught the food immediately. Everyone around them was staring in utter confusion as Sci stomped over to the elevator, still dragging a limp and face palming Dream behind him.
“Why did you tell them that?” Dream asked, voice muffled as they waited for the elevator to show up “And can’t we just teleport down there?”
“Because they would have asked a bunch of questions and trying to lie to them is damn near impossible. Especially since this is not something that is probably going to be fixed after a quick check-up. Besides, all of them have met Ink before. Alph found his dumb ass passed out in a puddle of paint half-dead before you showed up and dragged him inside to get healed. So they’re aware that the multiverse is more than just a concept, and that there are protectors trying to keep glitch head from destroying all of us.” Sci explained impatiently “And there are anti-teleportation wards on the lower levels of the labs to prevent potential theft. Or Ink wandering in and seeing how many things he can poke and mix together until something explodes.”
“Oh. Okay…” Dream responded, managing to finally get his feet under him. He shuffles a little bit closer to the younger skeleton, distinctly distressed by the way that the scientists are watching him and tries to shake off the desire to run and hide. He… People watching him with that sort of intensity usually doesn’t entirely end well. “Uhm… They’re kind of… Staring… A bit?”
“We look a lot alike, Dream. And I kind of shoved a lot of information their way. They’re good people, Dream. We’re safe here.” the younger skeleton murmured as the elevator dinged and the two of them stepped into it.
Dr. Gaster followed behind them before the elevator doors could close. “I believe you’ll need my help, Sans.” He murmured glancing curiously at the both of them. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, ah, Dream I believe it was? I am Doctor Wing Dings Gaster, although most Call me Doctor Gaster… Or Doc G, if they’re feeling particularly cheeky.”
The positive spirit couldn’t help the flinch - nor could he help the fact that he grabbed Sci and pulled the both of them into the furthest corner of the elevator, trying and failing to teleport them out of there, starting to shake a little. He was holding Sci close to him, the both of them scrunched into the corner of the elevator as Dream trembled as he stared up at him. He wanted to believe Sci when he said that this Gaster was good… But with the other’s tall, looming presence and the way the other’s darker magic pressed against his senses, Dream was feeling incredibly trapped at the moment.
“Dream… Dream did you have a bad encounter with a Fell G recently? Or… Hell, did you run into a Handplates Gaster recently? I promise you. He just wants to help. He’s not going to hurt anyone. It’s okay. We’re safe here. You can trust us. We won’t hurt you.” Sci attempted to soothe, his calm, caring emotions - along with the neutrally curious emotion coming from Gaster were helping somewhat.
“...Sorry. I just… I don’t… Like asking for help… From anyone and wasn’t expecting to be introduced to a room full of beings and my weakness shouted at them.” Dream managed out, voice quiet and trembling. He didn’t mean to cause the flash of guilt that ran through Sci, he really didn’t. “And I did tell you earlier that I can’t die of natural causes.”
“You could be cursed or something, and it’s hidden well enough that it doesn’t pop up on a surface check, Dream. I’ve seen the occasional curse like that. It’s slow-acting, but it’s insidious and has taken lives if not stopped.” Sci answered back bluntly, shaking his head a little as they reached their stop “And I like hugs… But please let me go this is our stop.”
“... Okay. I… I trust you, Sci. And you did mention that this Dr. Gaster is trustworthy… So I’ll take you at your word.” The positive spirit responds quietly, letting his friend go and following him out of the elevator and into one of the labs.

This is a Handplates parody where Gaster doesn’t have the chance to hurt the brothers thanks to his self-congratulatory incompetence in staying on focus, but he does manage to steal, lie, and kill spiders which keeps earning him EXP.
Handplates belongs to @zarla-s.
Turns out I have a lot to say about this one, rest is under a cut.
Like last time I drew a fancomic this one starts with the joke that started it all, and then escalates from it. At the beginning there’s a few direct lines from this Handplates comic. Gaster’s not a child-care genius, what if he labelled something totally not inborn as inborn? And now that he’s not alone he starts his never-ending quest to feed his secret test-subjects. The main point of this was to prank the Finnish followers on my translation blog since on the previous year’s April Fools I pranked the non-Finnish followers. I’ve been planning this for a whole year and still ran out of time while drawing, but at least it was somewhat finished and posted on the correct day!
Why do they eat ’human food’ here? Monsters apparently eat snails, which are living things you can find outside, so other food straight from nature might be ok for some monsters, and for this joke’s sake skeletons like fruit. Makes sense to me that if they find anything edible in the trash they’d eat it since it’s basically free food, and someone like the king would probably have access to the best stuff.
And why does he kill spiders here? Muffet and her gang live in Hotland, so it might not be too far-fetched that Gaster would know of her if she was around back then, and spiders seem to have a network of information (they can even contact the spiders in the ruins), so meeting one in the lab is not ideal for someone with secrets. If you’ve ever tried to confine a spider in a room you’ll know they escape in record time, and it’s probably not even easy to capture them with giant holes in your hand, so killing it is!
The automatic door opens on Gaster at the end because he forgot to program any wait time for when the answers can be given. The questions were randomised, and this time he got three questions that all had ’A’ as the correct answer. This actually doesn’t work in English, a scream and the letter ’a’ by itself are pronounced differently.. Oh well.
Technically the safety rails should not be there yet, but I wanted him to fall in the end and wanted a challenge in doing so. He could have saved himself many times there, by concentrating on the more important tasks, or not out-sourcing too much of his work, or tying his shoes properly. I’m not sure how the brothers would get out of the lab in this scenario, so it’s a bit of a sad ending.
Stuff that probably needs explaining because they are or might be ’Finnish peculiarities: -Alphys and Asgore are making Karelian pies in the office kitchen. The thing in Alphys’ hand is a special rolling pin used for the purpose. I bet the pies tasted great and had some extra fibre from goat hair.
-We have lots of fruits in the store that are imported, since they do not survive the weather here and greenhouse growing is not usually cost effective. Thanks to this some Finns can’t really tell when a fruit is ripe, especially new exotic ones. They arrive unripe and usually people buy the unripest ones they can find so they last for several days, which leads to some eating them raw. These days we have this program where stores donate the food that doesn’t sell any more to the food lines for people who are struggling financially and to other free food organisations. I watched a documentary about it and the food that wouldn’t sell any more, especially the bananas, were still in a very good condition.
-The dialect the brothers speak in the original is a Savo area one. I quite fancy that one, even if I can’t speak it. In this translation I chose British English ’slang’ for it, I hope I didn’t accidentally make them say anything weird.

💕 Undertales
pete i owe u my life
*proceeds to write a fucking essay on why i love every single character in undertale*
i love all the characters in undertale. i just love how real they are. how real their motives feel. and how those motives don’t always have to be like “i wanna free everyone” how those motives can be flawed or how those motives can be as simple and genuine as “a lady i don’t know asked me to protect you and i’m honoring that because she likes my knock knock jokes” and how each character is connected in some way, they just feel so natural and real and alive and it brings their world to life as well.
and i also adore the fact that you can’t get to the true ending of the game until you meet and befriend every single one of these characters. it’s the fact that your bond with them is what incites all of these characters to save you. and it’s the fact that they end up being what pushes you onwards, to save them, and save everyone as well.
undertale could’ve just been a game where monsters are trapped underground and you free them someway somehow, but it’s just. so much more than that.
anyways here’s just a few reasons why i love every one of undertale’s characters in no specific order:
alphys
in all honesty, i rlly appreciate alphys’s character. for most of the neutral run, the person you’re getting to know isn’t actually the true alphys. and u end up finding out she was lying to u the whole time, using mettaton to help her fabricate this narrative. it’s so SO fitting that alphys is the one u have to go back for to get the true ending. u end up seeing her tear that persona down bc she wants to better herself. and u end up seeing her admit to her mistakes, and change, and do better. and it’s just, so healthy to see an adult character with all these insecurities who’s avoiding her mistakes actually improve herself.
sans
sans is rlly a wholesome character. it’s so clear that he genuinely cares about everyone in the underground. i mean, look at what happens when u go to grillbyz with him! everyone knows and loves him! he sells hot dogs at his sentry station to monsters, he does stand up comedy at the hotel to keep everybody happy, he starts a fucking pretend concert when ur jamming out with shyren. his entire motivation for not killing frisk the second they left the ruins is bc someone he didn’t even kno asked him not to and “someone who genuinely likes knock knock jokes has an integrity* u just can’t say no to” i’m CRYING. and it’s clear that he’s not the happiest skeleton in the world, all the jokes & puns aside. he had to give up on his past experiments and thusly had to give up on “going home.” dude is stuck in a place he doesn’t belong but he’s doing his best to make his little brother & everyone else around him happy, all while protecting frisk. jeez????
*i also love this line bc both sans & papyrus can turn ur soul blue and the blue soul is integrity.
papyrus
papyrus is also a great character and i’m not just saying that bc he has some of the best lines in the game. also his battle is so fun. it’s the first battle in the game where ur heart turns a different color. this skeleton BELIEVES in u. he believes that everybody is capable of being a good person. i love how he comes out of the gate boasting about how he’s going to capture you and become part of the royal guard but he ends up wanting to be ur friend instead. bc despite how many times he calls himself great, deep down he’s insecure and just wants a cool friend who thinks he’s also cool. yet he still has these great messages about boundaries and how it’s important to have many friends and not just cling to one person. tbh i think that’s one of the best messages papyrus gives, besides the fact that anyone can be a good person. i also love how he lives to not only uplift himself but others as well………
undyne
man i fucking ove undyne’s PERSONALITY, like, the moment i fell in love with her was when she was standing atop the cave and was like “first let me tell u the history of our people………ACTUALLY, U KNO WHAT? SCREW THIS! WHY SHOULD I TELL U WHEN UR ABOUT TO DIE” and there’s just all these close up shots of her face and her theme song is blaring and she like, whips off her helmet and u see her face for the first time but it’s this dramatic shot of her standing on top of a fucking mountain its so ANIME AKLGHDKSLHGDSH. both her battle & her hang out are probably my favorites in the entire game. ITS JUST SO FUNNY LIKE. “undyne clenches her fist and shakes her head.” “undyne thinks about her friends and pounds the ground with her fist.” “undyne suplexes a boulder just because she can.” AND THE DYNAMIC OF HAVING TO RUN AWAY FROM HER AND SHE CHASES AFTER U BUT UR JUST WALKING THE ENTIRE TIME AND SHE FUCKING STOPS WHEN U GET A PHONECALL AND PAPYRUS IS LIKE, in the middle of undyne chasing frisk down to kill them, “hey human! let’s hang out with undyne later!” AND THEN RESUMES CHASING U AFTER UR DONE. she gets too hot in hotland and passes out, but if u give her water then she just. goes home. without saying a word. bc even tho she has been consistently trying to kill u, and u could’ve just left her there, u HELPED her. up till that point she was convinced u were faking kindness. but after that, she realizes ur not a bad person and leaves bc she can’t kill someone who’s not a bad person. her soul mode is literally the color of kindness. i can go on and on, how obvious and cute her crush on alphys is, alluding to how she literally just keeps soda at her place even tho she hates it bc she knows alphys likes it and won’t let u drink it bc that’s for her crush omg. how she teaches papyrus how to cook bc she doesn’t want to tell him that he’s not fit for the royal guard. how much she admires asgore and goes as far to say frisk reminds her of him bc they’re both so kind. and god everything she says after alphys confesses to her that she’s been lying about everything undyne is so FULL OF LOVE FOR HER FRIENDS
HOLY FUCK I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT WHAT UNDYNE DOES IN NO MERCY TOO I’M SCREAMING
THERE’S A REASON WHY THE NARRATION IS SO DIFFERENT DURING HER NO MERCY BATTLE AND WHY NARRATOR CHARA ADMIRES UNDYNE AND THINKS SHE’S THE BEST CHARACTER IN UNDERTALE AND THAT’S BECAUSE SHE IS
(i have a theory that chara, during no mercy, thinks that undyne has the best chance of stopping u which is why they get so excited when she arrives and so upset when she loses. i also just think chara and undyne are rlly similar too, in like. so many ways. also ik i’m going off on like 3 different tangents i’m so sorry to anyone who’s reading this i just get rlly excited about undertale.)
mettaton
mettaton is probably close second for my favorite battle. i honestly love his character and how it never rlly hits u how the whole “evil human killing robot” facade was so obvious until u play again. he’s obvious trying to do what he loves, entertaining people, while being saddled with this task to pretend he’s an evil robot trying to kill you. the reveal that he’s actually a ghost inside a robot is even more like a punch in the gut bc u realize that…alphys never made him. she made him a body, sure, but not him. i rlly like watching let’s players react to his battle bc of what he says towards the end, about how humans have so many actors and entertainers, but monsters only have him. and how much life and happiness he brings to the underground, and how he would leave a gaping void if he were to leave. it’s rlly sweet to see let’s players connect with that moment imho. i also love how he returns home to visit his cousin after their phone call.
also death by glamour…objectively sexiest undertale song
napstablook
speaking of mettaton’s cousin, napstablook is so sweet. ik this post is getting massively long but it wouldn’t feel complete without them. honestly, the fact that after mettaton left, they wanted to start getting to know their other neighbor (undyne) but was too intimidated to talk so they started making her a mixtape which is just a bunch of dudes screaming their signature wrestling moves is so fucking adorable and hilarious. also the fact that they just straight up avoid the apocalypse by not answering when it knocked on their door.
toriel
toriel……..is my mom. enough said.
ok no i lied not enough said. dude how heart breaking was it learning that all the kids she tried to protect in the past ended up leaving her and getting killed by her fucking ex-husband’s order?? hello???? and that she was so desperate to not lose another child that she was going to destroy the exit to the ruins, which would mean she would never be able to hear another knock knock joke from her only fucking friend (sans), and she would just be stuck in the ruins forever bc she’s goddamn immortal. i’m gonna CRY.
asgore
i like how asgore is written, i don’t like his actions tho. i definitely love all the build up to him, the parallels, how he’s always painted as a nice guy and every character tells u to talk to him, but the second u get to him he destroys ur mercy button and ur left with no choice but to fight him or get killed. new home & onwards is when undertale’s storytelling is at its strongest, is what i personally think. asgore definitely plays a part in that.
flowey & asriel
flowey & asriel are such complicated characters idek if i can summarize what i think about them but i guess all i’ll say is i’m just happy with how undertale treated the both of them.
frisk
me when it’s revealed that they’re their own person and not the player or chara
chara
ok finally on to the character who, if i had to pick one to be my favorite, would claim that spot.
i will admit. i am a big chara stan. :pensive: i personally think they’re the most relatable and interesting character in undertale. i also hate how they’ve been treated by the fandom, like they’re evil. i think it’s undeniable that they are the narrator in all paths in the game. they are woken up by frisk’s determination, after all!
of course, with the true ending, u help their brother gain closure on losing them, proving both chara & asriel that the idea of “kill or be killed” is wrong, and then helping them finish the plan that they both failed- destroying the barrier and freeing the monsters. then flowey encourages chara (and indirectly, the player) to not reset and to let frisk live their life, which chara does, unless the player decides to start a new game.
the one thing i just rlly like about chara tho is that they’re always encouraging u, making all these silly puns, jokes, quips, providing advice and tips on how to spare monsters- like they r rlly invested in helping frisk. it’s clear they’re a good person. they knew almost every monster in the underground. they’re incredibly smart. they’re a big fucking nerd and into anime. they liked gardening to the point of having a gardening knife specifically for cutting plants. they cared about their family so much that they had bff necklaces with their brother, they knitted a sweater for their dad, they loved their mom so much they talk like her. but they’re not a flawless character. they’re coded as a mentally ill abuse victim. they hated humanity, they ran away to a place where people are said to never return. when they messed up, they got so upset that they laughed to cope. they’re flawed, but their brother idolized them so much. and on top of this all they had this pressure on their shoulders that they were “the future of humans and monsters.”
but their plan failed, and it was either kill or be killed by the humans attacking them. and u all kno how that ended. :(
i guess in a way that’s kinda why i think chara and undyne are rlly similar. they’re both incredibly determined, they both wanted to free the people they cared about, they both had a loved one who didn’t want to hurt people, they both shouldered this huge responsibility, and they both would not hesitate to hold ur ass responsible if u ended up doing some awful shit.
✌️
SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG OMG this is my only excuse

Halluciv’s Story Part 3
Reboot was sitting in the path to Snowdin, happily bringing a world to life. This Creator was absolutely amazing, and since the Shift universes were under his jurisdiction as a subset of Swap, Boots got to have some fun. He chuckled as he watched Toriel confront the human, throwing puns and memes around like nobody’s business.
Suddenly, things started to disappear. First a pile of snow, then a tree, then the path. If not for the fact that they were not plot-related elements, Reboot would have thought that the author was going back and changing things. But no, he couldn’t destroy what was unnecessary until the author either finished with it or gave up on it.
This was Eraser’s work.
Reboot sighed, preparing his stylus. “Eraser!” he shouted. “I know it’s you!”
“You’re pretty quick on the uptake today, Boots. It’s good to see you again.” Eraser wrapped his arms around Reboot, holding him much to close for comfort.
Reboot squirmed out of Eraser’s hold, keeping his stylus at the ready. “I’m going to give you ten seconds to leave,” he warned. “It’s your choice.”
Eraser pouted. “Aw, Bootsy. It’s adorable how you protect these glitches of yours, but it gets tiresome. That’s why” he pulled a tablet out from his bag, “I grabbed this on my way over.”
Reboot looked at the tablet and gasped. “No… You can’t! Please!” He reached out, sending neon blue strings out through his fingers, but Eraser blocked them with his giant eraser.
“Why not? This is where the data for all the AUs is stored, right? Bad choice on your part really. Now then…” Eraser started to sift through the files, finally getting frustrated and simply throwing it in the air and erasing it. Reboot felt it in his bones as the AUs crumbled all at once. He fell to his knees, watching as the tablet became nothing but specks of rubber. All that time, all that passion… All gone.
Eraser walked over to Reboot, picking him up and holding him close. Reboot squirmed, unable break out of the arms clutching him until he headbutted Eraser, who dropped him immediately. Reboot opened a tear in the data and quickly slipped through. He emerged into his digi-void and looked around. Usually, he’d see projections of the worlds he helped create, but now it was empty. Gone were the visions of Temmie and Chara making their way through Swapfell, gone were the scenes of Undyne shyly asking Alphys to take a walk through the starways. Blank space took their place, filling Reboot with despair.
He wept, lamenting the lives lost in Eraser’s cruelty. How could he? Why? Why did he do this? Reboot didn’t understand. He cried, his tears ringing out in the void.
A puddle of black ooze formed not far behind Reboot and Nightmare began to form. As he materialized, he noticed the ooze running down his body, rejoining the puddle he had just come from. He stepped out, looking around at the place he found himself in. Blackness as far as his eyes could see, but a few meters in front of him, Nightmare could see a child that looked about his age. Black bones with neon blue numbers running down the back of his skull. He wore bulky blue gauntlets with some sort of rounded red gems near the elbows, and had on a jumpsuit that looked like a cross between a mech suit and a t-shirt and shorts. Around his neck was a glowing blue scarf that started to fade and break off at the end, held in place by a large red button with a white power symbol. Nightmare couldn’t see his face though, because the child had it buried in his hands.
“Hey,” he called, softly so as to not alarm the kid. “Are you okay?” It was a rhetorical question, as he wouldn’t have been drawn here if the kid was. The child looked up at him, with some of the strangest eyes Nightmare had ever seen. The centers were white, and some form of heterochromia was present, as in the child’s left eye, there was a ring of blue around the center m, then yellow, and finally red where the black of the eye would normally be, while the right lacked the blue and the yellow portion was smaller. Electric blue ones and zeros resided on his cheeks and a portion of his forehead. The child gasped, and started to crawl backwards, trying to put distance between himself and Nightmare.
“No, wait! I’m not going to hurt you,” Nightmare promised, holding his hands up placatingly. “I promise, I just want to help you.”
“Wh-who are you? I don’t remember creating you. How did you get here? No one’s supposed to be able to access the Digi-Void except me and…” he trailed off, looking down at the ground fearfully. Slowly, Nightmare lowered his hands and stepped forward. He started to lower himself to the level the child had taken, trying to appear less threatening. It seemed to work, as the child started to relax, curling himself into a loose ball. Nightmare repeated his earlier question.
“E-eraser. He destroyed them. He KILLED them!” The child had a strange voice, almost a cross between a fourteen-year-old and a computer. Slowly, Nightmare opened his arms in a wordless invitation. The child looked up, wary, and curled himself tighter. Nightmare could tell that he had trouble with being held, and closed his arms.
“I’m sorry. Is it alright if I… look through your mind?” The child started to back away. “Alright, I won’t. Will you at least tell me your name and a little bit of what happened?”
The child fidgeted, and started to loosen his grasp on himself. “I’m Reboot.” Nightmare smiled comfortingly.
“Hello, Reboot. I’m… Halluciv.” If Dream had a new name now, then so would he. “It’s nice to meet you.” Reboot nodded. “Can you tell me anything about what happened?” Suddenly, Reboot broke down into tears, and tearfully explained what had happened.
Halluciv wanted to hug the kid so bad, but he remembered Reboot’s earlier reaction and abstained. “Hey,” he spoke, quietly. “It’s going to be okay. We can rebuild the worlds, put them somewhere else. It sounds like this job of yours is too tough for one person to handle on their own. But I’d like to help. Do you think I can?”
Reboot looked up at Halluciv in confusion. Why would he offer to do this? He clearly didn’t know who Reboot was, or Eraser for that matter. And yet here he was, offering his help in what was clearly an ill-fated endeavor. Reboot smiled softly. “I’d like that.”
It felt just like when Halluciv would help someone who’d been hurt in the past. A listening ear, a kind smile, it all helped. He stood up, extending a hand to help his new friend, tugging him up.
Reboot took a good look at Halluciv for the first time. A dark indigo cloak was wrapped around his shoulders, held in place by a crescent moon clasp. It ended, torn and somewhat burned, just below his torso. The hood was up, covering most of his inky black hair, but some covered his right eye. There was a silver circlet on his head, and he wore a midnight blue tunic. Black breeches adorned his legs and disappeared into black leather boots. He was slim, but he seemed strong somehow. His eyes were strange. Black where the whites should be, with glowing lavender irises and no visible pupil. He had an unsettling aura, and yet Reboot felt safe. Suddenly, he remembered something.
“Xtale…” he whispered. “Oh no oh no oh no oh no oh-”
“Hey!” Halluciv interjected, sensing the fear coming off the boy in waves. “Snap out of it. Calm down, alright?” He snapped his fingers in front of Reboot’s face a few times to get his attention. “Listen, I need you to tell me what’s wrong so that I can help, alright?” Reboot looked up at him. “I want you to breathe with me, ok?” Halluciv gently took Reboot’s hand and placed it on his chest. He demonstrated a deep breathing exercise and said “In two three four, out two three four.” He continued until Reboot was following along steadily. “Do you feel a bit better?” At Reboot’s nod, he asked “Is Xtale another universe?”
Reboot nodded. “It’s barely holding on, but Xcellence is there. I’m trying to help him, but…”
“Then let’s check on it.” Halluciv got up and extended his hand. “If it’s gone, then it’s gone. But if it’s not and he’s not doing well, then we need to help him. Okay?”
Shaking, Reboot takes the hand and is helped up into a standing position. “Yeah… yeah, there’s no point in panicking if I don’t know what happened…” He took another deep breath and opened a data path. “This way.”

Act 4: Education and Moral Standards, Chapter 2
Alright, this one took even longer, I know there’s definitely a pattern here. But this sort of got delayed with personal issues, life stuff, school work and now the end of the school year is coming up, so yeah. While I’m not sure how the length of this chapter really compares to the others, but because of the fact that school is going to get harder soon and my feelings when it comes to progress, I’m going to start trying to post shorter chapters. One of the worst feelings I get is that since I haven’t posted anything for ages, I feel like I’ve made no progress at all, it really pains me sometimes and since I’ve been holding myself to some sort of standard of length, it feels daunting to write a new chapter even if the length probably isn’t as much as others do. Anyway content shouldn’t be lessened overall, just there will be a larger number of chapters. Thanks for being patient, hope it was at least 2% worth the wait if even that. FIRST, PREVIOUS, NEXT, INFO
Asgore The ten-minute drive was completely silent for the most part, all the goat child had to do was listen to the rumblings of the engine and Alphys make a few comments as she drove in her car, which the other two secretly found quite cramped compared to what they were used to. The light green Volkswagen had probably only been bought since the small stature of the owner was the only thing considered in the thought process of the buyer. Asgore continued watching all the familiar buildings go by, day after day he had seen them, yet despite this visual familiarity, he probably only knew about under half of them and what was inside. All these buildings had history, with people who ran it with their own fascinating stories to tell, tragic backstories to tales of luck and fortune, anything was possible within his ignorance and lack of knowledge, he much preferred it that way. The truth would only leave him one conclusion, no room for imagination, where was the fun in that? ‘’So Asgore, anything we should know about the school? Any warnings that we should be aware of?’’ The child turned his gaze from the window and looked to the skeleton in the front passenger seat, leaving a small moment of thought before answering, ‘’Not really, it’s pretty normal I guess. Got a pair of buildings to split the large amount of year levels, it goes P-12. So there might be a decent few people there… otherwise just talk to the people you need to talk to and get out.’’ Asgore’s words were slow and deliberate which appeared to amuse Sci slightly judging from the way he let out an amused huff, ‘’Fair enough. I’m sure it won’t be that bad buddy, everything’s going to be ok.’’ The backseat passenger didn’t appear too convinced, ‘’Well, we’ll see shall we?’’ The car took a sharp right turn and the three of them ended up leaning in the other direction before straightening up again. ‘’Alright, how about this, we go out and do something fun later tonight, something just a little different?’’ This seemed to intrigue both Alphys and Asgore, the goat tilted his head slightly and watched the skeleton while the driver gave a small glance, ‘’Th-that does s-sound nice, d-do you have something in m-mind?’’ ‘’Yeah, like maybe we could go out tonight and get some sweets? Brighten up the mood a little bit. Would something like that please everyone? I’ll even shout for us all.’’ The other two looked at him, both with a smile, Asgore found it was him that was going to speak for the both of them. ‘’Alright Sci, I’ll hold you to that, sounds like a plan. Better not forget buddy’’ He chuckled lightly, a happy smile appearing on his face, ‘’Guess I have something to look forward to now’’. The child’s gaze returned to the window, except this time it was in higher spirits, deciding to now focus on the potential positives of this experiences, whatever they maybe. Eventually the vehicle reached their destination, turning into a carpark outside a large brick building with multiple floors, windows and even a bit of a garden around the edges. Looking from the outside the place seemed a bit unremarkable as the building didn’t really have any decorations or any sort of grand design on it’s exterior and the yard around was just paths and grass for the most part, at least on the side they were on, if it wasn’t for the size of the place there might’ve been a slight question to how much money they actually had. The trio left the car and looked up at the closest building, the silence being broken by Sci, ‘’Uh Asgore, is this…. It?’’. The goat seemed the be in happier spirits now, some of his usual energy being rejuvenated, ‘’Yes of course it is, this is the high school building, you know, 7-12?’’ He crossed his arms and shook his head slowly, ‘’Although I assume you’re talking about the lack of uh… colour and variety? Well we personally think they decided that design doesn’t matter for high schoolers, like all people only care about the facilities, if you head over to the primary building, it looks quite colourful and child friendly.’’ Asgore shrugged and with putting his hands in his jumper pockets, he started to walk towards the front entrance to the school. The other two followed behind, letting him lead the way, ‘’I-it’s uh a l-little bigger th-than I th-thought it would be… do a lot of p-people come to this school?’’ ‘’It holds a good number, a thousand maybe? I’ve never really thought about it before, but there’s enough that I don’t really know everyone, probably don’t take my word for it at all’’. The entrance held a little above ground level, access being restricted by up by stone stairs or a ramp that came from the side, above the glass-wood doors was the name of the school in a bolded, fancy font that he hadn’t ever really cared to co ’McConville Academy’ They went to the front desk at first and signed in at a record book, being greeted by a middle-aged turtle monster who asked the adults a few questions about who they were, a suspicious tone pervasive throughout, they both deemed it was fair enough that they questioned two random people that just had wandered into the school. After a few minutes and one explanation from Asgore about why they were here, they were free to go on their way. Alphys looked at a crumpled piece of paper that she’d been gripping onto, ‘’S-so it s-says here th-that, um E-English is first i-in l-like fifteen m-minutes? You know wh-where to go?’’ Asgore nodded, ‘’Yep, second floor, room 14. Honestly not to bad for a second-floor room. The teacher I suppose isn’t to bad either.’’ ‘’You like English kid?’’ Sci’s question prompted a small shrug from the prince leading them, ‘’English is fine half the time, I think I do ok. Depends on what we’re doing I suppose.’’ Being led by Asgore, the group arrived at a classroom with seats outside it as an obvious station to wait. They sat down on the chairs that were closest to the door and remained silent, thinking to themselves. Asgore looked at the other two, Sci seemed as calm as ever but Alphys on the other hand seemed more nervous than usual, the way she had her hands together twitching and tapping made him worry a little, was she going to be alright, did she realise she didn’t have to do anything except listen? The seconds waiting there turned to minutes until finally a pair of adult monsters left the classroom and they heard a yell from inside for ‘’NEXT, COME IN!’’. They obliged and ended up finding what amounted to a mostly empty classroom, all the chairs that were normally there could be found stacked up at the side of the room, the tables were nowhere to be seen, the windows showed back out to the front of the school, the entrance they came in quite visible from their elevated position. The main attraction, made obvious by being the only thing of note, was the teacher’s desk with four chairs in the front of it, the desk itself was recently cleaned and had nothing except for a small stack of paper and a nameplate that matched the large name written on the blackboard on the wall behind the desk. ‘’Mr Breve’’ Although the blackboard included underneath it ‘Music and English Teacher’. The teacher himself was sitting behind the desk, a Shyren cladded in a white t-shirt, leaning backwards on his chair and humming a slow tune to himself. As the three of them took their seats, he decided to get the opening word in, his voice having some sort of song like rhythm to it. ‘’Something seems off here… one of you may be a skeleton yet, none of you are Doctor Gaster, you are the same Asgore right? Or has there been a mix up?’’ The Shyren’s tone didn’t portray any worry or annoyance as he moved forwards so his chair and himself were properly upright, looking between the visitors. ‘’O-oh uh, n-nice to meet y-you sir, we’re umm… stepping i-in for G-Gaster, he couldn’t make it sir.’’ A sympathetic smile came across the teacher’s face as he watched the female monster fumble her words, ‘’Well that’s a shame, but no worries, I’m just as happy to meet you two. Oh and please, don’t call me sir, just call me Breve’’. Now getting up from his chair to give a handshake, both taking the handshake one after the other. ‘’A-Alphys’’ ‘’Sci’’ ‘’Oh lovely, may I also implore your relationship with this fine young man here? Why you have taken him instead of the good Doctor?’’ Sci gave a shrug, deciding to take this question for the two of them, his smile being a calm one, yet his eyes seemed to be approaching half closed, as if he was just going to fall asleep in a few minutes. ‘’Yeah I guess we’re mostly just friends, at the moment acting guardians I suppose you could say, right?’’ Concerned looks were given towards Sci by the other two as he looked over, but nothing was said quite yet about his tired expression, ‘’Uh y-yeah, we’re his g-guardians.’’ The child spoke up now, his tone rushed as his desire to get things moving along, ‘’So shall we talk about how well I do in English, we’re in here for that reason after all.’’ Mr Breve gave a relaxed sigh and smiled, ‘’Guess you don’t want to be here long huh? Well let’s begin shall we?’’ He brought his hands together and stretched his fingers, making a cracking noise. Using the next few moments of silence to his advantage, he thought about what he was going to comment on first. ‘’Well I suppose to start with negatives… the kid’s not that great at analysing things, just seems to struggle with it… disagree?’’ Realising the question was pointed at him, the goat shrugged dismissively, ‘’Yeah, I mean I guess, don’t really get it honestly, really hate trying to figure out those persuasive articles.’’ Asgore started to smile slightly, his eyes bringing a slight spark of hope, ‘’But I am improving right Mr Breve? My marks are getting better I’m sure of it’’. A kind smile approached his lips, ‘’Yes you are, I think with a little effort you’ll get there… and let me tell you guys, he doesn’t slack on the effort that’s for sure. Real hard worker this one.’’ With that the goat seemed quite happy and prideful, looking to the other two now, Alphys appeared to be happy with that at least, while Sci seemed… almost asleep? ‘’Also Asgore here is quite skilled at writing his own stuff, like stories or even argumentative pieces sometimes. Also, surprisingly, this trooper here is quite the poet, he has a way with words that help portray emotions and sometimes even make you feel things, probably one of the only ones in my class that doesn’t mind when poetry comes up. Even with those argumentative pieces, while he maybe weaker when it comes to using logic, reason and some of the more nitty gritty stuff, he makes fine work when it comes to making you care, making you actually want to agree with him through feeling. All in all, for what he lacks in some areas, I believe he well makes up for in others… anything you would like to add Asgore or even anything you two would like to ask? Man, the compliment part is so much more fun the other stuff. ’’ Asgore beamed at his teacher, ‘’No sir, I’m good.’’ The lizard monster shook her head, giving a smile, ‘’N-no I th-think that’s g-good to h-hear. Thanks s-so much f-for seeing u-us’’. ‘’No thank you for coming in, always appreciated. Also here, catch, can’t leave without the complimentary treat.’’ Mr Breve pulled out two things out of his desk, one being a small chocolate in a blue and silver wrapper which he chucked to Asgore, another being a bouncy ball which he started to throw up in the air once he was leaning back in his chair. ‘’Oh, by the way, I don’t know if you guys knew but Asgore doesn’t actually have to be present for these interviews, you could’ve just left him home, you guys seem pretty chill, so I’ll let you onto a little secret. Bringing the student always makes things just a little more awkward, or at least to me it does.’’ Asgore and Alphys had already got out of their chairs by this point, both looking surprised, the prince a little more than the other. ‘’Wh-what? But I thought it was mandatory, isn’t that why I’ve always had to come?’’ The monster let out a chuckle, ‘’Nah my dude, it was Gaster who was making you come. A real scary time usually, like you guys are cool because you’re chill. But he’s always so serious and down to business, can tell he’s calculating every negative I feed him… the guy could just learn to calm down you know, or at least put on a smile? Maybe he needs a soothing song once in a while… but you didn’t hear this from me alright?’’ Asgore giggled and let out a very amused expression, ‘’Your secret is safe with me Mr Breve, trust me’’ ‘’Also uh, can you make sure you guys take your friend with you ok?’’ The two suddenly became aware of a snoring noise coming from the room and they both could only give puzzled and concerned looks towards their now fully asleep companion, his bones rattling slightly with each breath. ‘’Hey Sci, is something the matter?’’, Asgore closed the door behind him after letting another family into the classroom, now they stood in an empty school hallway. Sci mumbled something inaudible before speaking, he had the type of tone that someone would make when they were trying to brush off a situation, ‘’Yeah I’m fine sorry, j-just not feeling great, maybe I’m getting sick? Would you mind if you let me freshen up or something in the bathroom?’’ ‘’Y-you s-sure you’re going t-to be ok? Th-this doesn’t s-seem r-really n-normal… a-also do y-you need Asgore t-to show y-you where to go?’’ Alphys watched him, no one could tell what doom bringing possibilities she was going over in her head. ‘’Nah I’m fine, don’t worry, I um think we passed one on the way here?’’ The skeleton in a manner that made it seem like he was in a rush, started backing away from them. ‘’R-really… I g-guess I didn’t n-notice it, w-well you stay safe I suppose’’. ‘’Make sure to give us a call if you need anything alright, don’t want you to be our school’s first injury from falling asleep.’’ With a surprisingly hearty chuckle, Sci gave a thumbs up and walked out of view. The remaining two looked at each other. ‘’Hey uh Al, you think he’s actually alright?’’ Alphys stopped her a moment and thought for a second before answering, giving a faint smile and the goat a slight ruffle of his hair, ‘’I hope so, b-but wh-whatever happens, w-we’ll m-make sure to w-work it out.’’ She gave a small sigh and a bigger smile towards Asgore, ‘’Y-you can g-go you know? Do wh-whatever you w-want, wander a-around, I’ll t-take care of th-this ok?’’ The boy crossed his arms with a suspicious gaze, ‘’Are you sure? I mean you’re going to be all by yourself and you don’t know this school… sounds like you could use a guide’’. ‘’N-no, no, d-don’t you worry about m-me, I’ll uh f-figure it o-out, I-I j-just don’t want t-to drag you a-around. Plus i-if all y-your teachers are like h-him, than things sh-should be fine.’’ ‘’Well at least head to the front office and ask for a map, take a picture with your phone or something, that way you’ll know where to go…’’, Asgore grinned and grabbed Alphys in a hug, ‘’…thanks Al, you’re the best, you’ll go great… just uh watch out for the art teach alright? She’s a little full on.’’ The scientist was smiling just a moment ago, giving a tight squeeze, before worry went over her face. ‘’U-uh full on in umm wh-what way?’’ The response she got from that question wasn’t exactly what she was hoping for, a chuckle and an ominous ‘’Oh you’ll see.’’

retrouvailles: the happiness of meeting or finding someone again after a long separation. - panda. panda. write good family time with ghost cousins. do. it please.
ok this feels. very haphazard and i’m sorry for that but i’ve had this ghost reunion planned FOREVER. i just. mad mew made changed the game a little u gotta forgive me.
“Say, have we checked down this street yet?”
As if to answer his question, Napstablook phased out of a building down that particular road, and shook their head; Mettaton tapped his cheek in response, and the soft ‘clang!’ that followed seemed to echo throughout the Ruins. “Ah. Right… well, I suppose that’s it for this district.”
“You think we should go back over what we already covered?” As if to herald her arrival, Furi stumbled through a different alleyway, tripping over some long forgotten trash cans. Those crashes most definitely echoed in the empty town, and Mettaton had to wince from the sound. “You know how she is. Once she gets going, she could be anywhere!”
Mettaton sighed. It was poor manners for ghosts to question their own about their corporeality choices, and really, he was glad dear sweet Furi found a form she truly loved! He really was! He just… didn’t understand why it was THAT one, in particular. “Well, if nothing else, she’ll most definitely hear you, where ever she is.”
Furi squinted her eyes. It seemed slightly wrong, given how anime the eyes were. “Uhhhh. What’s THAT supposed to mean???”
“Darling, you’re tripping over everything.” He wasn’t trying to sound disproving--it wasn’t as though Mettaton hadn’t been there himself, years ago--but Furi was pushing herself too hard. That statue was so different from the dummy she’d been testing out before, and it was fairly clear she wasn’t allowing herself the proper time to grow into it.
“Finding Kazaa is important, of course, but don’t you think you should have… you know.” Mettaton gestured his hands helplessly. “Practiced a bit more?”
“UGH!!” Furi was angry, but that wasn’t different from any other day, so Mettaton didn’t take it to heart. “We can’t ALL be so MASTERFUL with a body we aren’t bonded to yet!!!”
“Hey, don’t you get snippy with me! I’m worried about you!”
“Oh yeah??? What are you gonna do if I DO?”
“I’ll tell Alphys you stole that statue from her lab.”
“! You wouldn’t DARE!!”
“Oh, I dare, sweetheart. I do a dare everyday of my life!”
“I’ll you know I SAVED this body from… REALLY TERRIBLE EXPERIMENTS!! ...PROBABLY!!! And I don’t need you telling me how to--”
“you guys…”
It was a talent, in its own right, how quickly just a word from Napstablook could get both of them to clam up, but clam up they did. It had been a while since he and Furi had sort of… gone ham about it, Mettaton supposed; they must have had a lot more pent up in their systems than either of them realized.
“Ahh--yes, Blooky. Sorry about that.”
“Yeah, uh--” Furi poked sheepishly at the bell around her neck. “Our bad. Um. What’s up?”
Napstablook, ever the gentle one, floated quietly out from the street they’d been watching from, and pointed down a different road; this one in particular looked like it lead into the old shopping district. “i...i think i heard something...in one of those old stores.”
Mettaton looked to Furi, and he must have at the same expression she did, hope renewed. “Do you think it’s Kazaa? Or just…”
“We haven’t seen any more of the Froggit clan this far in.” Furi said. “This… look, I don’t wanna get our hopes up, but this is the best lead we’ve gotten in… forever??”
“So long as she had the common sense to stay in the Ruins? ...I’d say you’re right.”
“i think she has to be here, still.” Napstablook added. It was a rare day when they sounded so sure of themselves, but when that downer-mindset had been changing for them, recently. “she… sent that letter with the spiders around when frisk came, so… that makes sense.”
Mettaton nodded in agreement. “Kazaa has a terrible sense of direction, but she knows somewhat how to stay put. And we won’t find her any faster standing around… so shall we?”
The store Napstablook had heard the noise from wasn’t exactly what Mettaton would call a department store, but it was certainly the size of one. There was a lot of architecture in the Ruins that didn’t quite match up with what they had in the rest of the Underground; all of this had been before his and his family’s time, and it was, in its own way, humbling to see how far monsters had come and advanced, even with their (then) limited space.
But they weren’t here for beauty; they were here for darkness, or at least, they were now, because this store was entirely pitch black. Not even the soft, blue-tinted glow of Napstablook’s spectral self penetrated the inky black in front of them.
Furi drummed her knuckles on one of Mettaton’s shoulders; her pinky on that hand popped out of its joint as a result, but she caught it before it was lost. “Don’t you have some kinda flashlight in there?”
“So rude. But I do have… something.” Mettaton closed his eyes a moment, when they opened again, the pinks of his irises shone like floodlights, bathing the empty store in a bright magenta hue.
Furi made a face that was too much like Undyne’s for his liking. “Ohhhh, wrow, I don’t like that at ALL.”
“i… yeah.” Napstablook didn’t look or sound entirely thrilled about this, either. “mettaton, that’s… really, really bad.”
“It’s a work in progress.” Mettaton was also not a fan, if he had to be honest--blinking was a rather considerate thing to do for everyone around him, even if he didn’t technically need to do so--but if you’ve got it, flaunt it, or so they say. And he did.
“Could you at least, like. Make it a different color??”
“Brand loyalty, Furi, hush--now, where did you hear the noise, Blooky?”
“over here.”
Napstablook led their cousins past old grocery shelves and magazine racks, and Mettaton did his best to keep them in his light of sight. (The pink of his eyes gave Napstablook a rather interesting periwinkle hue that made them hard to miss, but it just wasn’t their color.) The trio passed into room after room, with only dust to greet them. “Blooky, are you sure you heard something this way?”
“Naps has the best hearing out of all of us.” Furi pointed out. “Even with your fancy-shmacy robot ears, if they heard something, they heard something. You know that.”
“Mmm, fair point.” It was at that moment he realized that he and Alphys actually forgot to give his body ears, but he’d just keep that to himself. “I just hope it wasn’t just something falling down. This place is so old…”
“it might have been.” Napstablook admitted. “but i just… i have a feeling.”
“Far be it from us to doubt your sixth sense. It’d be hypocritical.”
“Isn’t that just a human thing, anyway?” Furi asked. “Ghost sensing??”
“Mmm… sort of?” Naturally, Mettaton had looked into how humans reacted to ghosts--you know, just in case the body thing never happened but the barrier thing did--and what he found… varied. “I can’t say anything without actually having spoken to one, but human ghosts? Super messed up.”
“Oh yeah? How so?”
“It’s a mixed bag; a good lot of them either don’t realize they’re ghosts, or are just trying to make the best of it, but there’s a small minority that seems willing to possess literally ANYTHING in order to just be a general terrifying pain in the neck. Bridges, entire towns sometimes, dolls are really big--”
“Wait, dolls?” Furi cut in. “Like… like US???”
“No, I’d say we’re in the minority for that.” Wasn’t there a horror story on some blog somewhere about an anime figure coming to life? It’d had been so long and so not-child friendly that Mettaton had pushed it from his mind. “It’s more in the, ahh… the Raggedy-Ann line of dolls, I suppose.”
“you mean like that one?”
Mettaton and Furi dropped their conversation, and looked on ahead down the hall, to where Napstablook was looking.
At the corner of one door, a ways away from them, was a doll. It couldn’t have been more than three feet tall, with long, red yarn hair tied into two braids, and wearing an elegant, green dress. There’s was rough, patchwork stitching all over its body, like it had been something different from another time, and its two, big polymer eyes seemed to look on past them blankly.
Then it blinked.
“AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--MMMMMMPGH!!”
Napstablook flinched from Furi’s sudden scream, but Mettaton was quick to action, and slammed his hand over her mouth. “Furi, would you--stop screaming, you idiot! You’re a ghost, remember?!”
Furi pulled his hand off her to speak, but a least she wasn’t screaming anymore. “YEAH, I’m a ghost in a CUTE, NORMAL BODY, you nerd!! That’s different!!”
“How in the HELL is the body you’re currently in NORMAL?!”
“Well how the hell is YOURS normal?!”
“It’s not conventional, but it’s definitely better looking!”
“You take that BACK, you glorified waffle iron!!”
“guys…” The two of them were being so loud now, and their voices carried to much in the closed space of the store; being loud was not Napstablook’s forte, unfortunately. But thankfully, they didn’t have to be.
“Well, I’m glad to you’re both still lively as ever.”
Mettaton and Furi were at each other’s throats by that point, Mettaton actually holding his now smaller cousin off the ground--the marvel of opposable thumbs, ladies and gentlemen!--but the sound of a familiar voice called them all to still. Mettaton dropped Furi as the realization settled in, and Furi, in that same daze, hardly registered the fall.
The doll, speaking in a woman’s voice, stood up, a bit straighter, and levitated itself up and over to the three. It floated in the very same manner Napstablook did, albeit perhaps a bit more susceptible to gravity--and when it finally came close enough, it regarded them with a warm, familial smile.
“About time, too!”
“KAZAA!!” Furi scrambled off the floor, and scooped up her now rag-doll cousin up in the tightest hug she could muster. It was not tighter than Mettaton’s, who picked up the both of them together, and looped his arms multiple times around them. And finally, Napstablook, with the tiniest, sweetest smile on their face, floated over, and pressed their ghostly self against Kazaa’s cheek.
“Kazaa, I--!” Mettaton tried his best to suppress his sniffles, because if he sniffled, it meant he was going to cry. Didn’t mean he really succeeded, though. “I-I was so worried, I wasn’t sure we’d ever find you!!”
“Tell me about it! How long has it been since I went on vacation? And none of you remembered to give me the map!”
“Hey, that wasn’t OUR job, that was all on Bravi!” Furi nuzzled herself into Kazaa, but pulled back a second later in surprise. “Wait, I remember this fabric! This is what the DUMMIES are made of!”
“Yeah. I hid out in one of those for… a while?” Kazaa sounded unsure, but it was easy to see how someone so prone to getting lost might lose track of time. “I thought it’d be safer to possess something. Can’t really leave a place if I can’t go through walls, right?”
“Certainly made our work here easier.” Mettaton said. “But why is it a doll now?”
“The queen found me in the dummy. She changed it for me to look a little nicer.”
“...huh.”
“Wrow.”
“that’s… really awkward.”
“Tell me about it.” Kazaa stopped here for a second, and then glanced to Mettaton. “Actually, no, YOU tell me about it.”
Mettaton blinked. “I--About what?”
“I heard something about you attacking a child? On television?” Apparently, it did not take long at all for Kazaa to resume her role as the Blook family matriarch. Mettaton’s already pale face paled even more. “What’s up with THAT, Mettaton?”
“That!! Well! Y-You see--Furi stop laughing at me you did it too!”
Furi’s snickering immediately ended, and she looked between all her cousins, panic beginning to rise. “I! T-That was different! I didn’t do it on TV!!”
“You fought them TWICE!! They weren’t even antagonizing you!”
Kazaa cast Napstablook a glance. “...Did she?”
Napstablook paused and glanced up, as if weighing the pros and cons of telling the truth, but they knew where their loyalties lied. “she did do it twice… and mettaton did do it on tv. i got it on dvr.”
“NAPS!!!”
“Blookyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!”
“I see.” Kazaa’s tone was… authoritative, as she slipped out of her cousins’ holds, and began to float off towards the exit. “Well, the two of you were grounded to begin with, but now you’re both SUPER grounded.”
“Wha--no!!” Mettaton dropped Furi again, and this time Furi responded with a yelp, but it didn’t matter in the long run. “We were we grounded?!”
“Um. Leaving Napstablook to run the farm by themselves? That ring a bell?” Kazaa kept going off--slowly, though, because she still had to make sure she wasn’t going to get lost again. “So everyone but Napstablook is grounded now. That’s just how it has to be.”
“It does NOT!!” Furi leapt up from the ground, and chased after Kazaa, with Mettaton not to far behind. “Kaz, we can TALK about this--”
“Honey, this is an offence?? You can’t ground Mettaton! I’m worth so much now!”
“Super duper mega ULTRA grounded, then.”
For a moment, Napstablook watched them walk off, almost a little in awe that they all fell back into their family dynamic so easily: Kazaa, their reliable eldest; Furi, the snappy second; them, the softspoken third; and Mettaton, the fourth that youngest for individuality. And as Mettaton and Furi wailed and fought their eventual punishment, they had to smile when they began to follow.
For the longest time, they’d had the quiet worry that even if the four of them came back together, it wouldn’t be the same. Each one of them had changed so much through the years, done so many things alone, that a family reunion almost seemed impossible. But impossible things had been happening so often lately--the barrier was gone, the snail farm was thriving again, and the surface was their oyster--they supposed it was silly of them to think that miracles didn’t extend to ghosts, too.

I’m trying to get back into writing, since I feel weird when I don’t for a while, so have some nonsense.
Pairing: Sans/Asgore
Characters: Sans, Asgore, Alphys
Rating: G
"Sans, uh...." Alphys' voice on the other end of phone was tremulous with nerves. "Um, I...I have to...uh..." She trailed off into silence.
"what'd you do?" Sans snorted. He had no idea why Alphys had suddenly called out of the blue. Whatever it was couldn't be too bad, or she'd have sent him a text to avoid having to get the words out.
"I d-didn't--I wouldn't! That's - how could you think -- ??" Alphys broke off. "Ok. Ok, you're right. God. I'm...so sorry."
"uhoh." Sans still had no idea what was going on.
"I...god. You told me that in confidence! W-well, not exactly in confidence, but you were pretty drunk and I mean I don't want people sharing whatever garbage pours out of my mouth when I'm a bottle under, right, so of course I'm not going to...of course I shouldn't've..." Alphys groaned. "Please don't get back at me by telling people the awful things I've said! I didn't mean them!"
"uh."
"Promise?"
"nah."
"Ok, I guess I deserve that." He heard Alphys take a deep breath. "Ok! So, I told Undyne about your crush on Asgore and I guess she told him so now that's out of the bag, so, sorry!"
"what?" Sans rubbed his skull. "that's it? huh. that really...gets my goat." He chuckled.
There were worse secrets, honestly. Alphys had kept all the important ones. So, whatever. He'd only told her because it had seemed funny at the time. He couldn't even blame himself for sharing it.
Three days a week he had tea with the ex-king. He used to just go when it occurred to him, which hadn't been very often. It'd turned itself into a habit, though, and now he showed up like clockwork. Asgore would be fresh from his garden washing his hands in the sink and all geared up to talk about petunias or the little danishes he'd gotten at the local bakery.
There was nothing deep about any of this. The king was good looking and Sans liked to spend time with him. Maybe he was a little lonely in that particular way that didn't go away when he had lots of platonic buddies to hang out with. Asgore was perfect for that - handsome, kind, and completely unattainable.
He could get little gifts for the guy at Gyftmas, come up with jokes he'd think he'd like, and he never had to worry about anything actually going anywhere. Sans could have his little thing for the guy, and get what he needed out of that, and that was that.
"Are you...angry?" Alphys asked. "You don't sound mad."
"nah, it's ok. kind of funny, actually. look, maybe it'll be weird for twenty minutes, but, uh, i wouldn't worry about it too much. order me a pizza someday. or, heh, tell me one of Undyne's secrets or - nah, never mind. don't wanna know."
"Ok. I really am sorry, though.
"no big. who doesn't have a thing for the guy, anyway?"
"Right?" She laughed. "We all have to go through at at some point."
"just a part of life."
Maybe he should skip tea next week. Asgore had a few days before he usually went to digest that information. Sans'd expect Asgore to either have decided to ignore the news or be fully prepped with a "it's not you it's me" speech. Nah, he'd go. Sans kind of wanted to hear that.
He remembered when it had hit him that he had a thing for the old goat. Sans had been a real good Samaritan and made sure the box of donuts at Frisk's PTA meeting hadn't gone to waste. He and Asgore were going to town on what amounted to almost a full dozen, over tea.
Asgore still had dirt on him from gardening, so Sans didn't see the harm. He went for a jelly donut and when the backside of the 'nut squirted he managed to get the jelly to land right on Asgore's nose.
Asgore had gone crosseyed looking at it, and as he fumbled for a napkin, he accidentally crushed his own donut and ended up with crumbs littering his beard.
"Oh, heavens, I'm a mess today," Asgore said, chuckling and patting at himself with napkins.
"heh. whoops," Sans said. "sorry about that. you're really...crumb-ling to pieces, here."
Asgore broke into hearty laughter at what even Sans could admit wasn't his best work. The sunlight streaming through the kitchen window hit the red jelly on Asgore's face and lit up the golden flecks in his hair and Sans knew he was done.
Anyway. That was how things went, sometimes.
Sans wasn't all that nervous in the leadup to their regular tea date. He was curious. Asgore didn't outright cancel, which he hoped meant Asgore wasn't going to just stop hanging out with him. That was the only way this could go that would actually hurt his feelings.
What would Asgore say? He'd start out apologizing. Maybe he'd get out the good tea Sans liked.
Sans rang the doorbell and waited. It could sometimes be a pretty long wait, and he'd either just go in or he'd walk around back and find Asgore in the middle of a desperate battle with ivy or dozing off under the peach tree.
This time, the door opened almost immediately. Sans had expected Asgore to be in his usual work clothes, but he had on something that looked like it was ripped straight out of an LL Bean catalog.
"uh, hi," Sans said. What was that smell, cologne? Usually Asgore smelled like tea or flowers. Sometimes like he'd been using fire magic.
"Howdy, Sans!" Asgore said, bright. Sans noticed that his horns looked a little shiny, almost like he'd polished them. His hair was damp. He must have taken a shower before he pulled his shirt out of its packaging and put it on. "Don't stand around out here. Come on in!"
"sure. ok." This was...different than he expected.
"Let me pour us some tea," he said. Asgore seemed cheerful for a kiss off. Maybe nervous? Hoo boy. "And then...I had something I wanted to discuss with you." He winked.
Sans wasn't sure what to do. He went in.
#fanfic#my fic#sansgore#yup#maybe rated T because of the donut scene#i saw a couple sansgore pics lately#and remembered that i kind of liked it#which is perfect for getting back into the swing of things#i don't have to take it seriously which makes it easier

how do you think the skelebros have crush/love in first sight to there S/O, how it is & where it was?
13: I interpreted this as a soulmate kind of deal, were monsters know when they see someone if they’re soulmates but obviously Humans don’t
SansHis at the mall when he spots you across the food court. At first he is overjoyed as a warm feeling fills his soul but that feeling is soon replaced with dread, your human. He doesn’t exactly have the best track record with humans and they tend not to be the best with monsters. He chooses to ignore you and follow his brother around, hoping that he will just forget that he ever saw you, but later in the day he finds Papyrus talking to you and he isn’t entirely sure how to react. He decides to ignore the feeling and try to get Papyrus away from you which doesn’t go as planned as it seems Papyrus has already befriended you. Sans just focuses on not letting anyone know of the connection you apparently share.
PapyrusUndyne introduces you, you were at her and Alphys house, chilling with the lizard when Papyrus came over for some training. As soon as he sees you his face lights up and he eagerly tries to impress you in true Papyrus fashion, which is adorable but perhaps not the coolest, it is however very charming. After the training session Paps finds himself alone with you in the kitchen where the two of you have a very long chat about yourselves.
RedHe hates the feeling, as soon as he lays eyes on you at the convenience store he knows what it is and he just wants to get as far away from you as possible. At the same time he really wants to go up and ask you for your name. The sick feeling in his stomach combined with his indecision means he’s frozen until you glance over at him and he found the energy to take a shortcut out of sight. He doesn’t end up talking you that day, or the next day he sees you, or the time after that. In fact the first time he talks to you, you approach him to ask him to hand you something. He tries to play it cool but probably ends up making a fool of himself.
EdgeHe’s at a cafe waiting for his brother when he sees you. He’s angrily messaging Red at a table, coffee in front of him, as he waits. You come over and ask if you can use the other half of the table, he glances up about to agree when the words get caught in his throat as he sees you. You begin to fumble before he tells you that you can sit down. He glares out the window as he tries to think of what to do next, just as he works up the nerve to talk to you his brother walks in and apologises telling Edge he’s ready to leave. Edge is not impressed.
BlueHe literally runs into you on the street knocking the both of you to the ground. Both of you were in a rush and didn’t see the other one swing around the corner until it was too late. He bolts upright and helps you to your feet apologising profusely and ignoring the feeling in his soul, that he wrongly assumed was guilt. You don’t manage to talk much that day as the both of you had stuff to do. The next time you run into each other you invite Blue and his Brother to lunch and have a lovely conversation.
OrangeIs the most chill about this whole situation. Your ordering foot at Muffet’s when a rude monster began to order you out. He basically comes to your rescue before he actually gets a good look at you when he does he hides the strong pulse of his soul and asks if your ok. The two of you have a very lovely ten minute conversation where he turns up the charm to a ten, managing to make you laugh and turn your bad morning into a pretty good one. The two of you meet up at Muffet’s practically every morning after that.
BerryHe’s screaming at someone for something stupid, like standing in his way. You had a headache and didn’t want to deal with this but stood behind him and told him to shut up and get over it. He turns around to start yelling at you but cuts himself off when he sees you irritably standing there causing you to roll your eyes and say something snidely, you just weren’t having it today. The two of you end up in a yelling match until one of you storm off, but Berry can’t get you off his mind. He assumes it was just because you irritated him so much.
SyrupThe first time he sees you is at his Muffets and he almost misses you. He was drunk, he’s skull resting on the bar and he sleepily tries to find the energy to go home. You come up to the bar to order a round of drinks for your friends. Syrup ignores you at first, just like he does with everyone who comes up to the bar. That is until you gently tug on his jacket and he glares at you only to be taken aback by the feeling that swells in his soul. You point to his phone that was angrily ringing on the bar before taking your drinks and heading back to the booth with your friends. If it hadn’t of been his brother calling him and ordering him to come home, he probably would of ignored the call and watch you from the bar for the rest of the night.

“Rejection”; Chapter Twenty-Five
NOTES: Sans is rather protective, isn’t he?
(Also working my ass off to catch up on Inktobers. Hopefully I get some more of ‘em done tonight. :) )
________________________________________________________________
Sans clicked on the messaging app, and read what the jerk had sent her. He narrowed his pupils menacingly at the screen, as if the phone were this (Ex’s Name) himself.
The first text read,
-Hey, (Y/N)… Are u mad at me? I’m sorry that I declined your offer… plz don’t hate me.
Sans clenched a hand into a fist, and scowled at the second text even more than the first.
-(Y/N), talk to me. U haven’t text me in days… r u ok? If this is about asking me out, I really am sorry. I just don’t think of u like that… u aren’t my type. But it’s fine, because I still love u! Let me know if I can do anything… i love u sweetheart.”
“Uh, Sans? Can I have my phone back?” (Y/N) asked politely across the room from where Sans was, and he snapped back to life. Undyne, Papyrus, and Alphys were all staring at him in fear; realizing the awkward silence, he took a step backwards in the opposite direction of the group. “sure thing, sorry. i forgot my number there for a second.” He lied, and tossed the device back to her. Then he teleported up the stairs, and into his room.
***
He wanted a few minutes to himself. Just for a few minutes... he wanted to think.
Pacing around his bed, he let his emotions completely overtake his mind; with a growl, his left eye flared to life. how dare that douchebag ask for (y/n)’s forgiveness… how dare he give her a pet name, only to deliberately crush her heart after toying around with it. how dare he tell her that he loves her, when he clearly didn’t if he turned her down-!
Sans was growing angrier and angrier by the second, the magic seeping from his eye socket burning a brighter teal with every pulse of fury in his skull. you can’t just reject someone’s proclamation of love like that and ask if they are okay. especially someone like (y/n)… no wonder why she’s an emotional wreck! the dude won’t leave her alone, even after the stab he delivered to her soul. a wound that is now my job to fix.
Sans clenched his fist, and punched his pillow with so much force that the entire bed sunk to the ground and popped an inch off the floor. i swear to asgore, if he ever falls into the underground i will dunk him so hard that his grandkids will feel it. i’ll knock his ass all the way to hotland and into the lava pits, where he’ll burn in hell-
A knock on his door startled him rang aloud, and he flinched. Hesitant to answer it, he asked who was there. “It’s just me...” Called the voice, and he instantly recognized it as (Y/N). The blue flame in his eye socket faded away, and he calmed down enough to meet her face to face. She had this look of intense worry, and Sans sighed. He couldn’t tell her that he’d been snooping through her messages; that’s invasion of privacy.
“May I come in?” She asked quietly, and he stood aside quickly. “yeah, sure thing.” He said non-enthusiastically, and she made her way past him. He flicked on the lights, and grimaced. He hadn’t cleaned his room in weeks; or whenever the last couple of resets was. It didn’t look like she minded, which slightly relieved him.
“what’s up?” He asked, sitting down on his messed up bed. She crossed her arms, brown hair bouncing. “I should be asking you the same.” He chuckled, but it was void of any real humor like before. “nothing. just was feeling a little tired, and wanted to take a quick nap before we got back to our games downstairs.” He lied once more, but (Y/N) didn’t buy it.
“And I suppose that explains why my messages from Arman were read as soon as I got the phone back from you?” Sans froze, his breathing hitching. dammit. she knows. Sans groaned, and rubbed his skull. “nothing gets past you, huh?” He smiled, but it was stressed and fake. She shook her head, and took a seat next to him.
“Are you upset?” She asked bluntly, watching his every movement like a hawk. He glanced at her, and saw that she wasn’t angry at all. “what makes you think that?” He answered her question with one of his own, and she chuckled. The noise helped lighten his spirits. “I saw you glaring at my phone like it committed murder.” He chortled under his breath, sheepishly rubbing his wrist.
“i was just a little aggravated that someone had the audacity to tamper with the names of your contacts, that's all.” Sans shrugged, giving a playful wink. It was obvious it took all of her willpower to not check that very second and stay focused on the task at hand. Her eyes searched his face wildly; after some inspection, she frowned. “I can't tell if you are lying, but I do know that my texts were read. And you're the only one who knows about…”
Her voice trailed off, as did her gaze. Sans looked away as well, not knowing what else to say. She had him cornered; an occurrence that happened very rarely. He felt a warm hand rest on his upon his shoulder, and he jumped at the touch. Looking over at (Y/N), he saw that she was smiling with what appeared as a pained grin.
“It's just like what you said to me in Grillby's, Sans. He doesn't matter now; not while I'm in this... game. Not while I'm here in the Underground, living a happy and peaceful life. Not while I have friends here like Papyrus, Frisk, Toriel, and you.”
Sans smiled, but still felt a bit angry towards the stupid human boy who dared to rip (Y/N)’s heart in half. “that was an excellent speech, your honor.” He snickered, and got a punch to the shoulder. She giggled, and brushed back some of her long hair. Sans watched as she adjusted her glasses like a nerd, and ceased the anxious fiddling that was his fingers. She stood up, with Sans following, and shoving his hands into his black basketball shorts.
A moment of silence fell between the two of you, and you gave him a weak smile. “In all seriousness Sans, I thank you for your concern. It’s really admirable, but I don’t want my personal problems being tacked onto yours. What you have to deal with is enough. I understand that.” Giving a curt nod, you turned to leave through the door. However, Sans held you back by suddenly reaching out and grabbing your wrist.
You whipped your head around, and stared at his hand. A ghost of a flush crawled across your cheeks, and you glanced back up to the skeleton. His head hung low, feeling hopeless. “kid... i want to be involved.” He whispered, not looking at you. You cocked your gaze sideways in confusion, not understanding what he meant..
“Why? That’s so much more unnecessary drama being placed upon your shoulders-” “i know.” He replied simply, but did not let go. You gulped, and waited for him to continue. “i just… i dunno. it feels… right. in a way.”
She snickered, and shifted her hand so that it held his reassuringly. “That was an excellent and totally not cliche response, your honor.” Sans smiled, picking his skull up to see her cheerful grin.
“someone’s being sassy.” “Someone’s being overprotective.” Sans raised a brow and chuckled. “overprotective?” She nodded, and fold her arms. His hand dropped back to his side,to which he returned to his pocket. “i’m not being overprotective.” “Yes you are.” “how?” (Y/N) smirked, and held out her phone. It was on the contacts list, more specifically (Ex’s Name)’s number. Sans glared at it, not noticing anything wrong.
“‘Dirty Heartbreaker’?” She sneered, sticking out her tongue. Sans squint closely, and snatched the phone from her grasp. “oh...guess the universe has spoken. it’s time for you to delete his number.” She shot out a hand in an attempt to take back the device, but he teleported away to his bedside before she could get even an inch near him.
He snickered, hiding the phone behind his back. There was no point trying to use height as an advantage like he would normally do with Frisk when he teased her; (Y/N) was practically a foot taller than him. She leapt after Sans, towering above his mattress. She gave a playful snarl, and once again tried to take back her phone. She missed, and fell on the bed.
You collapsed haphazardly onto the very soft mattress- the blankets that were once sprawled out underneath you flipping up, hiding your sense of sight. The material smelled just like Sans; a mix between ketchup and heavy cologne. It was pleasant; however, the sensation of being pinned against the bed by the skeleton’s blue magic was not. You struggled to lift the sheet off your face; when you did, you saw the skeleton sneering with such a evil grin that it your concern transformed to fear.
“i told you i’d get revenge earlier when you attacked me with your bombardment of tickles.” He hinted tantalizingly, and your face went pale.

1. The Beginning
No ones POV
It is 4:00am and Livie is having a nightmare about her past, she twists and turns in her sleep until the sound of a doorbell wakes her up. Her eye sockets fly open as she gasps for air, her eyelights were two different colors as one was blue and the other green. She was in a state of panic as even with her eyes open she was still inside her nightmare. Another ring from the doorbell snapped her out of it as she slowly sat up, she looks to the side to see what time it is and the moment she saw it was when she groaned out in annoyance. Her eyelights now back to her cyan color, she gets up and puts on her bathrobe and slippers before she heads downstairs. While she did that, her doorbell would keep ringing wich annoyed her even more. "yeah yeah...i'm coming, i'm coming" she sais before yawning, eventually she reaches the front door and opens it slowly. Only to reveal that it's Sans who is covered in sweat and not having his usual smile plastered upon his face.
Sans: "h-hi there...sorry to bother you so early" he looked frightened and constantly looked over his shoulder "i-i need to talk with you" he kept stuttering while speaking wich was not how he usually spoke.
Livie: (Story talk) "You all must be wondering how we ended up here or why sans is acting the way he is now. Welp for you all to understand what is going on we need to take a trip back to the past. How far you ask? Well all the way till the day the monsters were freed."
Livie: (story talk) "i remember as if it was yesterday. It was my day off from work and i was enjoying it very much. Now im not gonna spoil it with little details so you have to see what happens oke! oke". (end storytalk)
It was a warm summer morning and Livie was at home working on her skills in the training room that was located in the basement, this training room was designed and build by her. Little did she know that today was the day her entire life would change for you see the townspeople have kept an eye on the barrier on Mt.Ebott for decades, waiting for the day that monsters would finally be free to live a peaceful life with humans once again. When the barrier was broken, the townspeople were alerted to the news and acted immediately to get the town ready to welcome. Well everyone except for Livie of course, she was kept in the dark on purpose as to keep it a surprise for her. Meanwhile monster kind was guided down the mountain by Frisk who saved everyone and when i say everyone, i mean EVERYONE. Frisk somehow managed to get Asriel back to his former body, to revive Chara and to get Gaster out of the void as well. The only monster who was still skeptical about all of this was Sans who has been through so many resets that he just stopped believing anything the kid sais. When they arrived at the town though was when everyone was surprised to see how the town was decorated so brightly as if to welcome them to their little town, at the center of town stood an elderly man who goes by the name Sam. Sam used to be the towns former mayor and has been waiting for this moment when he was a kid, the time finally has come and he couldn't be happier. "welcome, welcome! my name is sam and this town is ebott town" he sais with a kind smile as Asgore took a step forwards and was about to say something until "GRANDFATHER!!!" someone shouts out as they were running towards them before falling onto the ground face first "ow...". Sam chuckles softly "excuse him, this is my grandson glenn and he is the mayor of this town" he explains as a tall skeleton suddenly made his way over to Glenn. "human named glenn are you oke?" he asks while helping glenn back onto his feet "ah yess i'm sorry eum..." "oh how rude of me, i am the great and wonderful papyrus" he sais as Glenn just smiled brightly "it is nice to meet you papyrus" Glenn replies while extending his hand for a handshake and Papyrus happily obliged as he shook Glenn's hand very excitingly. Toriel who watched carefully could not see or feel any ill intend from the both of them and as such took a few steps towards them so she could use her magic to heal Glenn's small injuries. Glenn scratches the back of his head in embarrassment "t-thank you" he sais shyly as Toriel gave him a gentle smile "it is alright glenn, it is the least we can do for you and your grandfather for giving us a warm welcome" she replied as this made Glenn smile. Even though things went well, in the group Sans was having a freaking panic attack because of Papyrus's careless action and was trying to calm down with the help of Frisk, Asriel and yes even Undyne since she has experience with this sort of thing thanks to Alphys. Asgore who saw all of it just chuckled and extended his hand towards Sam who gladly shook his hand "it is an honour meeting such kind humans such as yourselves, i do hope that from this day onward we can live in peace together" "i am sure we can and with your help maybe even help this town to a new and better future" Sam replied wich surprised Asgore but he was glad to hear this answer. Glenn was amazed by Toriel's healing magic as Sam cleared his throat to snap Glenn out of it and it worked as he himself was clearing his throat now. "well now that the introductions are out of the way, let us show you around town" Glenn sais as everyone agreed with him and followed both him and Sam further inside the town. Surprisingly the townspeople greeted them and while everyone else thought this was a good sign, the only one who found it suspicious was once again Sans.
~Hours later~
Sam and Glenn stopped in front of a huge mansion "i am sure all of you are hungry and thirsty by now" Sam sais as everyone agreed in the meantime Glenn wast texting Livie.
~Text message~
CoolMayor: "hey liv!"
FunBone: "yo Glenn!! what's up?"
CoolMayor: "nothing much, but i'm here for your surprise. so can you get ready?"
FunBone: "...right now?"
CoolMayor: "yeah. pretty please get ready" *puppy emoji*
FunBone: *sigh emoji* "fine...i'll get ready"
CoolMayor: "thanks liv, oh and please stay upstairs until i come and get you"
FunBone: "yeah yeah..."
~End messages~
Glenn smiled and put his phone away while nodding to his grandfather "alright everyone let's go inside so you can eat and drink a bit" Glenn sais as he walks to the front door to unlock it, since he had a spare key on him. By now you must be wondering how it is that Glenn has the spare key to Livie's mansion, well you see Glenn and Livie knew each other since they were kids as they were very best friends. Anywho, Sam guided monster kind inside along with Glenn as they were escorted to the dinning room. The dinning room itself was so big the everyone fit in there with space to spare wich amazed everyone, even mettaton was impressed with the spacious dinning room "my word darling are you telling me this room is a dinning room?" Glenn smiled and nodded "yess and here you all will dine and afterwards i will have a surprise for all of you". Everyone was overjoyed to hear this as Sam already went to the kitchen to get the food they prepared for them and Glenn went to help to get the drinks for them. Everyone was having a good time and chatting it up even Sam and Glenn, eventually Gaster cleared his throat and curiously asked "say glenn, did you not have a surprise for us?". Glenn immediately stood up "YESS SORRY I FORGOT!!!" he ran out of the room as everyone started to chuckle "whatever will i do with that boy" Sam sais with a chuckle "he seems like a good young man" Toriel sais as Sam agreed. Meanwhile "LIVIE!!!" he bursts into her room as she looks at him with a concerned expression "what? what happened? is there a problem? do i need to beat someone up?" she sais while slamming her fist in her hand while Glenn was catching his breath "s-sorry but no...i just forgot i had the surprise for you waiting downstairs" "...you're such a klutz" Livie replied as Glenn stands up straight "well i guess i did deserve it for making you wait so long" he chuckles softly before they both made their way downstairs "well i guess i can forgive you since you did get me a surprise" she giggles as Glenn smiled even more now "well i hope you like your surprise, because it is a really big one" Livie couldn't wait to see it but for some reason Glenn was even more excited about this then she was since he bolts down the hallway and she had to catch up with him. Eventually Glenn walks inside the dinning room "come on slowpoke, come inside already!" Glenn teased as Livie giggles even more "i can beat you in a speed race easy peasy" she sais from the hallway as everyone in the dining room was confused as to who Glenn brought along with him "anyway, why are you so exci...ted..." she walks into the dinning and fell silent as she saw all of monster kind in one place. Everyone else gasped when they saw a female skeleton walking into the dinning room, for some reason this made Asgore angry as he stood and was about to hit the table hard, but Livie stopped his fist with her magic "what do you think you are going to do with my table?" she sais with a stern voice as her eyelights were directed at him "well eum...sorry" he just sat back down as that anger immediately left him. Sam chuckles even more "now now livie be kind to the king" she crosses her arms "i would if he wasn't about to destroy something of mine" of course this made everyone even more confused. Livie cleared her throat "anyway my name is livie, livie hana" she sais as she joins everyone else at the table. Of Course this resulted in a lot of questions that she honestly didn't know how to answer properly as she wasn't so used to so many beings around her wether they be monster or human. Glenn taps the side of his glas with a spoon "everyone please, i still have one more surprise left for you all. me and my grandfather had thought long and hard over this as we decided it would be best that you all live inside this mansion" Alphys couldn't help but ask "b-but is that really possible?" Livie quickly caught on and simply said with a smile "oh don't worry about space, i have plenty of that here in my mansion" even though she said it kindly, she was angry on the inside that they haven't even considered asking her first before deciding this on their own. But she eventually sighed before a small gaster blaster floats into the dinning room "baby bones? wait if you are inside then that means..." suddenly the other 3 cam floating inside as they scared the others except for Glenn and Sam. "oke who let them inside" she stares at Glenn and Sam "i am so sorry livie it was me, i left the backdoor open" Sam admitted "it's fine...i thought i would introduce them at a later time but it cant be helped now" Livie replied with a sigh. Livie then stood up and cleared her throat "alright everyone, there are a few things you do need to know. first of all these blasters are my pets, the smallest one is called baby bones or bb for short, these two are the twins and the biggest one of them all is big momma or big mom for short. secondly i work as a psychiatrist, so depending on the appointments i have i will either work early in the morning, during the day or late in the evening" she states as everyone was looking at her as they were processing the information they have gotten. Gaster then stood up as he was curious as to how these blasters could move freely like that "i do wonder how much magic it consumes to keep them like this" Gaster sais as he was already examining the blasters "none actually, i found a trick to disconnect them from me so they have their own magic source and yes i can still summon them from miles away if i ever had need of them" Livie explains while Gaster finds this all very fascinating.
~Several hours and interrogating questions later~
Glenn, Sam and Livie had shown everyone to their rooms but Gaster requested to speak with Livie privately as they now were in Livie's office. "so what did you wanna talk about?" Livie asks as Gaster sat across from her "i know that all of this must be hard on you" Livie didn't say anything but he knew this was something that weighed heavily on her soul. "livie you need to let it out" Gaster sais as he was worried about her, Livie took a deep breath before breathing back out as her tears started to roll down her cheekbones. "it's not fair...i waited so long to see so many of them once again and they just...they just forget about me?! how is that fair?" Livie raised her voice a bit as her tears kept coming down her face while Gaster sighed "it may not be much...but at least i still remember you" he sais as he stood up to wipe away her tears "...does this mean i need to keep our past together a secret from them?" she asks with pain lacing her voice "i am afraid so livie...they wouldnt understand and it would only be more hurt and torment for yourself" Gaster replied while he tried to console her. She looks down disappointed by the answer before she pulls Gaster close so she had someone to hold while she lets her tears steam down freely. However, little did they know that Sans was eavesdropping on them as he found Gaster's calm demeanor very strange. 'how does the old man know her? and what is it she has to keep secret from everybody?' Sans thought to himself while he kept eavesdropping on them, only to hide when he heard Gaster telling Livie he needed to get back to the boys. Gaster left the office but Livie took the time to get out of the office as she tried to stop her tears from falling down more, this is when Sans took the opportunity to come out of hiding and act as if he was looking for her "hey eum i know that it's none off my business but are you oke?" he asks. Livie was startled by Sans suddenly being there, mostly because she let her guard down, but she closes the door and tries to smile "y-yeah just too many e-emotions from seeing so many of my own kind for the first time" she lied as Sans knew this but he couldn't force her to tell him everything since it would make him look suspicious as well. Sans sighs as he smiles afterwards "so you're a girl right?" Livie was taken back by the question as she nods softly "oh sorry i didn't mean to offend ya or anything but i don't know i thought female skeletons used their magic to make them look more eum...you know the part?" he sais as he feels embarrassed to even say this "n-not all female skeletons need to look s-sexy or more feminine to be a girl!!" she sais shyly as she explains that to Sans "s-sorry oke, i-i just thought-" "j-just don't say it oke! i am a female skeleton but i d-don't need the extra accessory to be one!". They were both a blushing mess by now as suddenly they hear "are you two oke down there?" Papyrus asks as they look up to see him waving at them "w-we agree not to tell him about this?" Livie asks "a-agreed" Sans replied. Livie and Sans go up the stairs towards Papyrus as there was awkward tension between them until they reached papyrus "s-so eum i'll be heading to my bedroom now...g-goodnight you two" Livie sais as Sans clears his throat "y-ye sure goodnight" Papyrus being his happy self replied "goodnight! and may you have pleasant dreams!" this made Livie smile before she waves towards them as she walks towards her bedroom.
~BIG time skip~
We are now several months later as every single monster had their own houses, their own jobs and lived peacefully among the humans...that is until the news of monsters living alongside humans spread across the world, how? Well the internet of course along with some mouth to mouth conversations from tourists that frequented Ebott town and with such also arise the problems. What kind? Well some humans came together and formed the Anti-Monster-Movement wich in short is called the AMM as they plagued the internet with lies about monsters. But with that also came a lot of humans and youngsters forward who disproved those lies rather quickly with evidence they had. Of Course the AMM didn't back down and decided to tell a lie that nobody could disproof or at least they thought they had a good lie. Livie was then tasked by Glenn to make videos to disproof those lies and she did, only thing is that she used a filter and a mask to hide what she really was but her voice stayed the same. This online war went on and on and on and on until the world leaders came together and called upon the monsters and the AMM group to appear in front of them so they could decide the fate of monster kind. Frisk was the monsters ambassador but because they were human child they couldn't defend them properly as stated in the letter. Those who had important roles in the underground were gathered in Asgore's house along with Sam and Glenn. Chara grips onto their shirt "so what? we leave everyone to defend themselves?" they blurted out in anger as "no need to be so angry, i'll go with them" Glenn sais but Sam clears his throat "you cant Glenn you are human too...we need someone strong and confident in what they do but isn't human...but who?" Sam sais until they see Livie walking past the house with a small suitcase in their hand "of course! she could do it for us!!" Gaster sais as Asgore quickly went to the front door and called out to Livie who was confused as to why he called her name out like that, until she got inside and was brought up to speed. "wai wait wait, you are telling me that all of you want me to defend you in front of the worlds leaders?" Livie sais as everyone nods. But of course Livie is a workaholic so she couldn't just take a day off like that "absolutely not" everyone was surprised as Gaster asks "why not? you are perfect for that role" "because i cant just drop my work like that!" Livie retorted "what if i took the blame for you? since i am the mayor and practically made you go...so what do you say?" Glenn sais as he smiles innocently. Livie was not convinced "w-what if i house sit for you as well?" Glenn adds wich made Livie smile "deal!" she shook his hand but Glenn knew that the moment she shook his hand was the moment he knew he fucked up. Livie takes the letter and reads it more "it states that we have to go to new york since the judgehall is located there, so everyone get yourself ready because we will have to go by plane" she sais while getting up. Everyone left Asgore's house to get ready, Livie already had a sneaky suspicion that they would ask for her help but not like this. Nonetheless she already prepared alot of information in the form of a presentation "they wont know what them" she sais and gets only one bag ready to take with her.
~Several hours later~
The flight to New York was amazing for everyone except for Livie who slept through the entire flight. When they arrived there they had to go with Glenn's cousin who managed to get a tour bus for them, but somehow Livie got separated from the group and by the time they realised it, it was already too late. They were on their way to the judgement hall as Livie managed to get out of the airport but she noticed they already left and with a big sigh she gotten a taxi to drive her to the judgement hall. She called Sans to let them know she was on her way but after the call the driver went to the wrong way "eum sir, you're going the wrong way" he chuckles "oh i know sweetie, but you wont be making it on time to save them". Livie sighs in frustration as she calls Sans again "yo sans, ye ye i know...but are you guys at the judgement hall yet?...you are?...great...wait they already rushed you guys inside?...nah don't worry about it...i'll be there in a sec..." she hangs up as the guy was still laughing up a storm "and how are you going to get there? your stuck with me!" Livie then calmly took her bag and waved "bey bey now" before teleporting out of the car and into the judgement hall. Of Course this surprised the taxi driver who needed to park himself and double check before cursing up a storm. Meanwhile inside the judgement hall the AMM went first and made a strong case that is until Livie suddenly popped up out of nowhere, wich startled many people but she just didn't care as she signed to the guy representing the AMM that he could continue talking. "where were you?" Sans whispered "well i got cut off from the group by other people and then basically gotten kidnapped by a taxi driver" Livie whisper replied. When the representative was done he whispered to Livie in a mocking way "good luck, heh" she just thanked him and went to the front as she asked if she could borrow a projector and laptop, wich she was granted before she pulls out a usb stick and plugged it into the laptop. She then connected the laptop with the projector wich projected her presentation, she then clears her throat and then looks over to the world leaders "hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is livie hana and i will be representing monster kind today" the world leaders look at each other before one sais "bring out your case miss hana" "thank you sir" she sais with a small bow. "you see what i will be showing you is a shortened version of the history of ebott town, for many decades ago monsters and humans used to live peacefully together. until one jealous human being started to spread lies and rumours about the monster, wich resulted in them going to war against the monsters and KILLING many of them. before they ran into a cave in the mountain wich the humans put a barrier around to prevent them from escaping" Livie explains "yess i do understand this eum story but how does this proof they are innocent" one of the leaders asks as she smiles at them "well how about this, who caused those other wars to happen?" Livie asks wich made them all shut up while she just shows more proof of humans starting wars around the world or even the violence and poverty they had caused "is this enough evidence to showcase that monsters aren't to blame for what happened in the future?".She was dismissed as the world leaders had a lot to talk about, but in the mean time she was talking to the others who were very much afraid to be forced back down the underground. The representative of the AMM walks up to them "how dare you pull human history into this matter!" he sais aggressively as Livie turns around to face him in a calm manner "i'm sorry sir but you cant interact with me or my friends until judgement has been passed down" the representative got even more angry and picked her up by the collar up her shirt "YOU COCKY LITTLE BI-" "what is the meaning of this!!" a security guard yells out as the representative lets go of Livie "t-this is not what it looks like" the security guard stands between him and Livie as they say "the world leaders requested you all back on stage now!" "y-yes sir" the representative went back to his group "thank you very much sir" she sais while the security guard gives her a small nod. Eventually everyone got back on the stage as one of the world leaders starts to speak "so first and foremost i want to thank all of you for giving us your precious time of the day to be here. secondly we were not sure wich of the cases we should chose since of course we love to believe our own kind but on the other hand we could not deny our own bloody history. but we want to call the representative to the front" the guy had this big as smile on his face as he walks to the front of the stage as he expected to be praised, but instead "your aggressive and shameful act towards miss livie made us see that human kind needs to evolve if we want a peaceful future" this shocked him as he turns around and points at Livie while suddenly speaking up "w-what!! you're joking right!! these are monsters and are our natural enemies-" he then gets cut off by another world leader "we humans have killed over a million people over the decades and you want them gone just because you think they are beneath us?" "but-" "I AM NOT FINISHED YET" "s-sorry" "we of course came prepared with our own knowledge as well, in fact we KNOW they killed 6 humans over the coarse of several years. but what do you expect? if the roles were reversed we would have likely done the same." they ended with as Livie was just being observant as she notices more guards suddenly in the room and she knew she had to be on guard just incase something happens. Another world leader stands up with a smile "and with a great pleasure we welcome monster kind into our world and thus would love to work alongside with them in the future". Everyone cheered as they were allowed to leave but not the other group, Livie lets her guard down a bit as they all went back home by plane again. For once Livie went to sleep feeling completely safe amongst those around her, plus she was tired from using so much magic and then having Sans sleeping in the seat next to her. Everything that happened today was broadcasted all over the world and thus Monster kind was accepted into the world and some could even move out of the town and move into other countries so they could help human kind into a bright new future.
