As believers in Christ we are still emerging to behold the person that was created. It's a journey that often is filled with disappointments, frustrations, delay, and many a heartaches. But it is also a journey that is filled with unspeakable joy that can only be found in Christ alone. The past couple months God has made it his absolute mission to fill me with his joy though the situations around me spoke anything but joy. Just like we had to make a choice at salvation, we have to make a choice with everything else. We have to make a choice to receive and maintain the joy that only comes from knowing Christ. There is so much to unpack from this journey of being transformed into the image of God. Transformation is a personal thing. No one can make you walk in agreement with the change that wants to place in your heart. You must make the decision daily to change. Change is a continuous process until Christ returns. Somebody needs this today! The process of emerging is the same for everyone. We all must fight to be free from the place of confinement that no longer supports our growth. So we must all break free in a struggle. However, the length of time it takes for us to fully emerges depends on how much of a determination we put into the stuggle. At the root of the human condition is sin. Sin keeps us locked into a continuous cycle of disappointment after disappointment. Eventually our heart disease begins to manifest in other areas such as we are seeing in the world today. Pandemics, poverty, racisms, lawlessness etc are all products of hearts that need cleansing. Trying to find an answer to fix these issues is like being lost in a labrinth of our own heart. It is difficult to find your way out of a labrinth naturally and spiritually it's no different. Our solutions will always temporarily fix the issue. After a while the same issues resurfaces because we never dealt with the root. The root is sin. The word of God says that the heart is deceitful and wicked. It further tells us only God can test it. Jeremiah 17: 9-10. It ok to have questions! 🦋 🦋 Psalms 13:1 : How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord ? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? 🦋 🦋 Sometimes we are afraid to have questions about God and our Life circumstances but I have discovered questions are really our hearts way of making sense when it is feeling burdened. 🦋 🦋 Our questions are a way of opening up that internal dialogue. If we follow the path of each question, eventually they will lead us back to the center of our universe. And that center, whether you are a believer or non believer, that center is God.
