Though this season of life maybe painful it has its purpose. Pain is a part of the #trans4mation journey. Our desire to become healed and whole must be greater that our desire to run away 🏃💨 from the pain and discomfort that we must endure.

A 🐛 in it's process of dying must fight the urge to not go into the darkness of the chrysalis. We too much enter our darkness to face the things that are keeping us from changing.

A 🐛 that refuses to change will eventually die never seeing the beauty of the 🦋 that was on the inside. What is that thing about yourself you are afraid to face? Could it be that very thing keeping you caged?

God desires for us to accomplish all the assignments he sent us on Earth for, but these will never be done if we are afraid or even unwilling to face the darkness of transformation.

It's crucial to know and understand what makes you feel secure. Failure to understand yourself can lead to choas and pain. Sometimes we fall into the trap of loving others beyond what we are capable within our own strength. This often was modelled in childhood and we grow up with a wrong idea of self sacrifice especially in the church setting. Jesus said we must love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Far too many times we neglect ourselves for the sake of loving others. This is not healthy. Regret, resentment and bitterness will grow from this place of tainted love. Today I encourage you to evaluate the boundaries in your life. Ask yourself the touch questions. Now reinforce or replace healthy boundaries. P. Jesus prayed 🙏 to the Father that he would keep his disciples, and that they maybe one even as they are one. See this prayed that Christ prayed is still relevant today. We cannot keep ourselves, the Father does this through the presence of the Holy Spirit. We are facing so many battles and different struggles in our lives but yet we fail to realize that the only one who can keep us is the father. The Father sent us the Holy Spirit at the request of Jesus. He the comforter, the guide, corrector and so much more but he is also neglected in our lives. We make decisions without him and often fall into chaos. The Father keeps us by working through the Holy Spirit in us. When we overlook the Holy Spirit and his leading, when we refuse to allow him to change us, when we put our agenda above his, we override his power in our lives. God in so rich in mercy that he continues to spare us because of the blood of his son, but that is the extent of it. We are spare daily because of the BLOOD OF JESUS. But there is so much more available to us but we must allow the HOLY SPIRIT to be the one in control. Your story is your super power! Your vulnerability in becoming transparent gives you the ability to fly. Take the shame out of your story. You will never fully experience transformation if you don't make peace with your story. No one can tell your story but you. You are you because of the things you walk through in life. There were many mistakes and many reasons to have guilt and shame by not telling your story. However Christ came and set us free from the bondage of our past. We are free and clear of all guilt and shame associated with our past. The very things we are ashamed of are what God uses to bring another person out of their place of bondage. A butterfly is not concerned about the many times it had to change itself as a caterpillar, a butterfly is not concerned about the time it spent in darkness. A butterfly knows crawling on it's belly as a worm and then digesting itself in the Chrysalis in a puddle of goop created the wing sensation we see today. In this world as long as Christ tarries people are going to talk about us. They talk about Jesus and he did nothing but good. Let the words of people fall off of your back. Let your insecurities fall away by being free of shame, guilt and people. Think about that person who is in a depressing place and having suicidal thoughts. Think about how you felt when you got free and how you wish someone could have reached out. I know about both of those things and I am not ashamed to speak about it. I am no longer that teen with low self worth, I am no longer that young adult trying to please everyone. I am no longer that child who lost her voice. This is the part no one speaks about in the life of a butterfly. We often hear about the change happening in the chrysalis and then the butterfly breaking from the chrysalis and flying off into the sunrise or sunset. The how is often given a slight pass but the how is very much important as the change that took place inside the chrysalis. The butterfly while in the chrysalis developing it's new identity accumulated so much liquid from the goop inside, that it cannot simply break free from the chrysalis. The excess liquid in it's body must somehow be forced out of the body and into it's wings, activating the strength it needs to fly. The butterfly is much bigger than the chrysalis that it is housed in, but this too is for a purpose. While emerging the butterfly much struggle to free it's self from this confined space. The struggle of emerging forces the excess liquid from the body into the wings with each frustrating movement. The struggle is purposeful to the health of the butterfly. If someone were to help the butterfly so it could be free faster they would inadvertently cripple it's ability to fly. A creature that was meant for the sky would be forced to crawl on the floor like the old identity that died in the chrysalis. A butterfly in this state would die prematurely never experiencing the freedom of the sky. The struggle you are currently experiencing is the only reason you will be able to fly. Though your struggle may be long and painful, it's necessary for the gift of flight.
