Genuinely would like to thank CD project Red for bringing this fantastic world of the even more fantastic andrzej sapkowski to life the way they did. Its just glorious. The effort, passion and dedication in creating this as realistic and true to the original book world as possible is just undescripable. The realism of the world like the npcs having their own life doing their chores with or without your presence, the many characters and their awesome storylines, the many many tales smal and big ones, new and old and unsuspected friends and enemys, so many choice with so many consequences, a giant world, you discover something New every playthrough, the landscapes the quests and unique world combined with the masterpiece music, its just a masterpiece and a unique experience that everyone who is into rpg games or/and fantasy definetly should try. Its an experience one never forgets.

I replay the game everytime i finish it, i immediately just go back to restarting, maybe a month or two maximum inbetween. For me personally this world was my fantasy awakening, don't get me wrong i always loved fantasy but the witcher 3 has awakened something in me. Its my fantasy my gaming home i feel like coming home when i start the game, put on my earphones and the music starts playing, be it 'the fields of ard skellig' 'the slopes of pressure' 'the vagabond' 'the hunters path' 'or the merchants of novigrad' (which are my favourite tracks of all of them btw) and geralt is like "winds howling" i sigh deeply in a relaxing sigh lean back and i'm home. And gamers know that all of us has that special game that makes them feel like this.

The most special thanks to andrzej sapkowski ofc for presenting us this world and his awesome characters in the first place

He had followed his word. After giving Syanna what she deserved, Dettlaff had gone into hiding, keeping his distance from humans and creatures alike. It was better this way. But yet, it was still hard for him to move on from what had happened.

So when Regis, his old friend, had shown up, he was surprised. "Regis...why have you come here? I have kept my distance."

"Regis?" Dettlaff froze, his body tense. He couldn't believe it. How did Regis find him? He was sure to cover his tracks. Then again, Regis had his corvid spies. Dettlaff had been dwelling near a small town for about two days, staying in an abandonded mill. He did have a bad feeling about staying at one place for more than a day, but he needed a break and surely nobody would bother him here. At least he thought that.

It had been a few weeks since the events in Toussaint. Maybe three weeks or maybe even less? The vampire wasn't sure anymore. Everything was kind of a blur. He just kept moving, his feelings a jumble. It was still so difficult for him to understand everything that had happened and he unable to really deal with it. He still felt anger grief, loss, guilt, confusion.

"You were supposed to keep your distance!" Dettlaff spoke, his voice a mix of anger and worry, but also..relief? It was nice to see his friend in a way. Regis throughout all of this, tried to help him after all. Then again Dettlaff wasn't sure if he could trust anything anymore. "Are you alone?" he asked, making sure he didn't bring his witcher friend along. He didn't want to deal with all of this anymore. Dettlaff was just tired of it all.

you know what would have been a great idea for blood and wine—if dettlaff didn’t speak human speech. since most vampires presumably don’t...

which would leave regis stuck translating back and forth between geralt and dettlaff as a kind of intermediary and negotiator… placing a ton of pressure on him to be accurate, but yet… as regis tends to be, compulsively diplomatic... (geralt would understand this a bit because he’s worked as a translator—“a little sacrifice”—but he’s not as eager to kiss and make up)

… i think this would be ‘fun’ (/s) for regis… whose happiness is . nearly entirely dependent on his friends’ concord and happiness.

and bonus points if regis is rusty at vampiric, having not spoken it for a century or so :)

this would end up with at least one of these clichés:

“… he… 😵‍💫 he said… 🤔 he’s not very happy with you.”

“but… what did he actually say? 🤨”

“i… cannot tell you that 😇”
