HERE ME OUT, AGAIN!

If you all have watched the movie, "Pretty In Pink", which I hope we all have, if not. Go watch it. I know ya'll are thinking.. "Lottie, we can't defend you like this.." but hear me out..again!

Andie In the movie is a girl who falls in love with a guy who is in a different social class than her. His name is Blane. Blane also likes Andie, but his friend "Steff" DOES NOT approve it. Stef himself is rich, a snob, but it has be technically hinted in the movie he also liked Andie but it was never fully looked into. After I watched the movie I came to the realization...I didn't really care for Duckie (Andie's best friend) because he was immature and kind of toxic, "nice guys finished last" kind of toxic incels use to make women feel bad. I was sitting on my bed realizing that I did root for Blane, but...I was also wanting Steff to date Andie and turn his...bad boy rich kid persona around, and show his vulnerable side, because in the movie I think it was hinted he and his father didn't get along.

Now, some people already ship Parker with Beatrice, they are very awkward and adorable, and looking based off some dialogue, I think he might have had a cannon crush on her, along with Bo Jackson, I guess. I can see them being dorky and him being gentlemen like but to the point he is very awkward about it and makes so many cute mistakes. I can see him rant to her about his hyper fixations and she would just sit there listening, he would stop and be like, "I'm a freaking you out, if I talk too much...you can tell me to stop", and like the doll she is she would shake her head and be like, "n-no, I like hearing you speak its quiet nice.." She might be the only girl who can handle his weirdness. He is kinda like Blane, they BOTH follow the crowd, they do what their leader or “friend”, tells them to do and are seen as the odd one out in their rich friend group.

Now Derby, man's issues with his dad it was technically in the scene when he found out his boxing trophies were taken. But just like Steff, he is a blonde, handsome, rich snob, who is mad he couldn't buy the poor, down to earth type of girl. I can Invision a scene in my head where he would make fun of this girl in public but in private, respect how head strong she can be at times...and maybe a bit manipulative? I can see him maybe bullying her, and she would give him a nasty glare, but deep down he's like ," Yay she finally looked at me!" Along with the fact Beatrice character model in the game is fit for the dumb movie trope, "Was ugly with glasses but hot without glasses", type of model. Which, I don't hate I just think it goes to show the difference between her and Mandy, "peaked in high school" thing they had going on. I can definitely see Derby telling her stuff like, "You know...you would look a lot prettier if you got contacts and dressed better." A way of looking out for her, while also being a prick about it. There could be a scene where like…Beatrice can listen to his family drama and he just…sipping wine and thanks her?

Just watch some scene of Blane and Steff from the movie Pretty In Pink on YouTube, and you guys will understand.

Tiara Predictions: Japan to United Kingdom

Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako will be in the UK on 25th to 27th July for a State Visit. The trip will focus on Japanese-British diplomacy, history, biomedical research, museums and biodiversity.

And now to the predictions…

The tiara I want Masako to wear: Imperial Chrysanthemum Tiara. This tiara is reserved for the Empress and Masako is yet to wear it so it’d be lovely if she debuted it today. It was last worn by Empress Emerita, Michiko in January 2012 for the New Year’s Reception.

My prediction: Meiji Scroll Tiara. Masako has only worn this tiara since becoming Empress so it’s a fairly safe bet. It was last worn by Masako in January for the New Year’s Reception.

The tiara I want Camilla to wear: Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik. I need this tiara to be worn! So stunning, it’s literally a wall of diamonds and I have a feeling it would suit Camilla so much. It was last worn by Queen Elizabeth in March 2015 for the State Visit from Mexico.

My prediction: Oriental Circlet Tiara. The only tiara that was designed by Prince Albert that still belongs to the British Royal Family (and my personal least favourite), I think this would be a suitable tiara for the State Banquet as it’s suitably large, historic and ornate for a visit from the Emperor. It was last worn by Queen Elizabeth in 2006 on a visit to Malta.

The tiara I want Sophie to wear: Aquamarine Ribbon Tiara. I will admit that I haven’t liked the way that Sophie has styled this tiara in the past so I just want to see it with big hair at the front to hide the gap or for Sophie to have re-worked it. It was last worn in October 2018 for the Dutch State Visit.

My prediction: Her wedding tiara. I’ve mostly chosen non-colourful tiaras for everyone else so Sophie’s only all diamond tiara matches that. It was last worn in June 2019 for the State Visit from the US.

The tiara I want Birgitte to wear: Iveagh Tiara. My favourite Gloucester tiara. Aside from Queen Victoria’s Sapphire Tiara, this tiara is probably the one that I wish Queen Mary would’ve kept within the main family line. It was last worn by Birgitte at the CHOGM reception in 2018.

My prediction: Cartier Indian Tiara. This tiara is large, sparkly and will suit the other tiaras on display. It was last worn by Birgitte in November 2022 for the State Visit from South Africa.

While I don’t think any of the following will be at the banquet, in the unlikely event that one of them does attend my predictions are as follows:

Catherine, the Princess of Wales: Lotus Flower Tiara (but I’d love it if she wore the Sapphire Sunburst Bandeau)

Princess Beatrice: York Tiara

Princess Eugenie: Greville Emerald

Princess Alexandra: Ogilvy Tiara

Princess Michael of Kent: Kent Festoon
