Anson Mount on theatre roles he'd like to play

When Anson was at Dragon Con in September 2022 promoting Star Trek: Stange New Worlds, a fan in the audience asked him what theatre roles he's always wanted to play.

Anson mentioned Hamlet by William Shakespeare, Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov (the role of Mikhail Lvovich Astrov, a country doctor), and The Changeling by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley (the role of De Flores, servant to Vermandero). The fan also brought up Shakespeare's Macbeth and Anson said he's played the role of Malcolm (Elder son of Duncan, king of Scotland) before.

In 2020 Anson played Uncle Vanya's Dr. Astrov in a virtual theatre production of the play (gifs here and here).

Uncle Vanya portrays the visit of an elderly professor and his glamorous, much younger second wife, Yelena, to the rural estate that supports their urban lifestyle. Two friends - Vanya, brother of the professor’s late first wife, who has long managed the estate, and Astrov, the local doctor - both fall under Yelena’s spell, while bemoaning the ennui of their provincial existence.

The Changeling is about young Beatrice who is in love with a visiting nobleman, Alsemero. However, her father has already arranged her marriage to Alonzo, another nobleman. Desperate to be with her love, Beatrice enlists the help of De Flores, a cunning but ugly servant, a deceptive man obsessed with her and determined to claim her virtue. While she initially resists him, Beatrice is drawn into lustful complicity with De Flores, and together they set in motion a chain of love, lust, madness, and death.

On behalf of the Penn Center and Briar Ridge's city council, we would like to thank the residents of Briar Ridge for really stepping up and showing out with these ticket sales! The Masquerade Ball is sure to be a success!!

A huge thank you to Isaiah Warren, for volunteering Paradise Point as the venue for the gala! And to Noa Andreas for planning and coordinating the whole evening! We've got a lovely night in store for everyone!! With gorgeous, floral centerpieces and decor from Garden of Eden and Teo Cruz, the ball room will be decked out to the nines! And with catering from Alvaro's being overseen by Marco Santos and a special brew specifically for the night from Firefly Brewery, there's no way anyone's going home hungry or disappointed! And finally, Briar Ridge's very own, Lia Lozano will be providing the entertainment, singing the night away with her beautiful ballads!

Bojack Horseman: trauma explica, não justifica.

Recentemente eu terminei Bojack horseman, e conversando com meu amigo falamos sobre como o passado do Bojack explica onde ele chegou, mas não o inocenta de todos suas atitudes, e até crimes come todos

ATENÇÃO! APARTIR DE AGORA TERÁ SPOILERS DE TODA A SÉRIE!

Ao longo da série, bojack se mostar ser um grandes babaca, ou até pior, mas muitas pessoas, eu inclusa, não conseguem odiar ele 100%, mas também não o inocenta, um exemplo de uma pessoa que faz isso na série e a própria Diane. Diane e Bojack tem uma relação complicada, onde ele sempre pisa na bola, eles brigam mas voltam a conversar, assim como a audiência, nós irritamos com Bojack, mas não conseguimos abandoná-lo

Como audiência, vemos tudo que Bojack passou, vamos como Beatrice e Butterscotch eram com Bojack, como eram tóxicos uns com os outros e até com eles mesmos. Beatrice também tem seu passado revelado ao longo de alguns episódios e vemos que ela também não tem uma inf��ncia fácil, e cresceu perturbada, e inconscientemente fez o mesmo com Bojack.

Os pai de Beatrice é o típico "cidadão de bem ", sua mãe foi forçada a uma lobotomia pelo simples fato de estar em luto pelo seu filho, e Beatrice desde uma idade muito nova teve que lidar com tudo aquilo. No começo de sua adolescência ela engravida por um louco que ela acaba de conhecer, foge com ele para assumirem o filho e descobre que nem tudo são flores, que eles tem desafios enormes a enfrentar, e sua saída é as drogas.

Bojack tem um pai narcisista, uma mãe drogada, que inclusive o forçou a fumar um cigarro em uma idade que ele provavelmente nem podia ler, e cresceu numa das indústrias mais tóxicas no mundo, Hollywood, se tornou alcoólatra, viciado, colocou a Sarah Lin no mundo das drogas, tentou se relacionar sexualmente com uma menor de idade, quando ele já era de meia idade, dentre outras coisas terríveis.

Diferente de Beatrice, Bojack teve a chance de mudar, e a abraçou várias vezes, mas sempre estragava tudo, a série literalmente termina com ele na cadeia e eu aposto que ele não melhorou depois daquilo. Apesar de sua família perturbada, Bojack sempre teve amigos que o apoiou e que estavam ali pra ajudar ele a melhorar, mas seu egoísmo e complexo de vítima impedia.

Horseman realmente sofreu muito, e faz sentido ele ser quem ele se tornou por conta daquilo, mas dizer que a culpa dele ter abandonado Sara Lin morta para não sair como o vilão da história e sim como o herói que a achou e ligou para a polícia é de sua mãe não e verdade, dizer que ele fez aquilo por ter sempre ouvido de sua mãe que ele devia fazer todo o sofrimento dela em perder o corpo perfeito para ter ele valer a pena explica suas ações faz um pouco mais de sentido
