How about the De Clermonts reacting to adult Lucas being a vampire? Most notably Matthew and Diana? Maybe Diana encountering him in the city and idk they bump into each other and talk and suddenly Matthew enters and he and Lucas have essentialy kinda spiderman meme bc he may not recognize his son but his son recognizes him? And Jonathan Bailey as Lucas fancast obviously hehe

Diana was taken aback when she encountered the vampire who looked so much like her husband. He'd barely stopped when they almost bumped into each other.

"I am so sorry ma'am. I should've seen where I was going."

She gave him a smile and shook her head, "Not your fault--" "Lucas--I'm Lucas Charpentier--and you're?" She shook his outstretched hand, "Diana Bishop."

Lucas' face lit up at that, "The famous witch, Diana Bishop--you stood up to the congregation, did you not?"

"I did. Word travels fast I take it."

If he could blush he would, instead dipping his head and letting out a small chuckle.

As they stood there chatting, a car pulled up beside them, and the back of Diana's neck ran cold, Matthew.

"Can I help you, sir?" He asked coldly, a hand on Diana's back as he stared down Lucas. She tried to say something, but Matthew wouldn't listen.

"Father?" Lucas said, almost stunned. To the younger man, Matthew hadn't aged a day since they last saw each other, when Lucas was only a little boy.

"You--what?" Diana asked confused, looking from Lucas to Matthew and back to Lucas.

Matthew showed no sign of recognizing the young boy, but how could he, it had been centuries.

"Who are you?"

Lucas looked physically upset at the question, like he'd just been punched in the face. "I'm Lucas--your son--it's me, dad."

Diana wanted to pull him in for a hug the second he said that, not wanting the younger man to suffer any longer.

"That's impossible! They told me Lucas died, hours after his mother--centuries ago!"

"Take my blood, and see for yourself--" Diana shakes her head, "you will not, I can check, without hurting you Lucas." Freeing herself from Matthew, so moved closer to Lucas, hands out, "May I put my hands on the sides of your head?"

He nods at that, both ignoring Matthew's staring as Diana puts her hands on the temples of Lucas' head. Memories of the young man's long life came rushing forward, clouding Diana's mind, making her stumble slightly, but she kept her hands on him, trying to sift through it all, to find the start.

Matthew, looking so young, having one arm wrapped around a blonde woman's waist, and the woman holding a little brown haired boy, Lucas. They looked so happy.

Then--Blanca being carried away to be seen by a doctor--Lucas crying, clinging to his father's leg--Matthew crying too, but not as much--possibly staying strong for his son--hours after--Lucas is taken away too--reunited with his mom--and a strange woman--

Diana almost didn't want to let go, but feeling she's gotten what she needs, she lets go of his head. "It's true Matthew--he's telling the truth."

"But--I mourned for you--for both of you--I was so lost, without--" red streaks rolled down Matthew cheeks as he looked at Lucas again.

Diana came to his side quickly, pulling him in for a hug. "I'm sorry my love." She'd not seen him this broken--not since the memory of him after Philippe died.

They hugged for a bit longer, until he managed to compose himself, and look at his son once more, the younger vampire was crying too.

"Lucas?" Matthew opened his arms, letting the boy choose if he wanted to hug him or not, and he shot into his dad's arms, hugging him so tightly. "It's okay my boy. It's all okay."

Beatrice of Burgundy (1257-1310), Lady of Bourbon, Countess of Charolais, was the daughter of Jean de Bourgogne, Count of Charolais, and Agnes, Lady of Bourbon. She married Robert, Count of Clermont (1256 † 1317), son of Saint Louis, at Clermont-en-Beauvaisis in 1272.

I feel a bit odd giving Robert Louis credit for this one, since these are the well-known and well-documented arms of the House of Bourbon (technically the third house of that name; the previous two had died out in the male line.) The house of Bourbon in its current and most famous iteration was founded in 1272, when Robert, Count of Clermont married Beatrice of Burgundy. The arms are simply France ancien with a bend gules for difference, which Robert would have been entitled to as the sixth son of Louis IX. The current department of Allier conforms fairly closely to the former duchy/province of Bourbonnais (the home territory of the Bourbons), so using these arms for the department is a fairly straightforward decision.

Beatrice’s heart had clenched when she first held little Rebecca.

After helping nurse Baldwin De Clermont back to health, she had been folded into the ever expanding group of allies, including getting to meet the newest members of that clan, Rebecca and Philip.

The scent of innocence that imbued a newborn infant was a luxury she had been deprived of much too quickly as a human.

“They’re both so precious.” Bea sighed as she stared in wonder at the little pink bundle in her arms, and the other settled against his mother’s shoulder.

“They are, and ear piercingly loud when they’re hungry!” Diana smiled.

“I’m sure of it,” she agreed, “as I’m sure they love the attention.”

“Who doesn’t?” Hamish joined them in the tea-room of Sept-Tours, giving both Diana, then Bea, a kiss on the cheek as greeting.

“Has the polite negotiations descended into a fight already?” Diana rolled her eyes.

“Surprisingly no. When it comes to these two, titles and inheritance, Baldwin doesn’t raise a complaint. If anything, Matthew’s had to apply the brakes on the estates your brother’s trying to bestow on them.”

“He loves them,” Bea agreed, “they mean everything to him.”

“Not everything I think.” Hamish replied but she was so busy with Rebecca that she missed the tight-lipped warning glare Diana shot at him.

“She’s asleep.” Bea whispered before kissing the child lightly on her forehead and placing her into the Moses basket just in time for Baldwin to stride into the room, followed by an exasperated Matthew.

“They don’t need that estate Baldwin, they’re children!” Matthew argued.

“They are De Clermonts and they will have a Jointure appropriate to their rank!”

“This again.” Hamish shook his head with a sigh.

“No, I believe the matter is settled.” Baldwin stared pointedly at Matthew before his gaze fell upon Bea.

“Will you walk with me, in the garden?” He asks.

“Yes, of course,” she agreed, having not spoken to him much since she arrived given the business he’d had to conclude with Matthew.

“We’ll see you both at dinner.” Diana called after them both and she gave the witch an accepting nod before taking Baldwin’s offered arm.

“How have you been keeping?” He asked.

“Me? If I recall, it was you who was worse for wear last I saw you! I would ask how you are.”

“I am well, I had a very kind and attentive nurse.”

“It was my vocation, before I was turned.”

“I am surprised. By your manner of speech I would have been certain you were aristocracy.”

“I was, my parents were not happy, neither was my husband but I joined the Queen Alexandria’s Imperial Military Nursing Service.”

“Did you serve at the front?”

“I did.”

“That was very brave.”

“I cannot claim it was a higher duty than escaping the life that had been chosen for me. My husband, he was not a kind man and he drank. I rather believe my odds of survival were greater at the front than in his stately manor.”

Baldwin didn’t speak but instead put his hand over hers on his arm in a gesture of comfort.

She hadn’t discussed her prior life in some time but there was something about Baldwin that she felt she could tell him anything.

“Who was your sire?”

“General Harold Francis Turnbull. He wasn’t a good man either but I cannot be too angry with him.”

“He did not give you a choice, did he?”

“He gave me a choice. Either my child lives or they die. He was resolved to have me and I could either resist and have him turn me right then, which would lead to the death of my baby or I accept and he would allow me to give her life before he took mine.”

“That’s not a choice Bea.”

“I am still grateful he did not kill my little Lizzie by changing me whilst she was growing in my belly, as I am grateful to my late husband for giving her to me.”

“You can forgive them for what they did to you?”

“Forgiveness was the only power I had in that situation and I only suffered his cruelty for five years before he was killed. I was free but...” she trailed off.

“But what?”

“I’ve spent all of these years raising my daughter, then my grand-daughter. Now they’re gone, no more children of my line and I do not know what I am to do. My sire did not teach me what what it is to be this. He taught me only how to hunt and how to...” she stopped, both speaking and walking.

“How to please him.” Baldwin said for her.

She nodded, and turned from him, unable to face him for the residual soul-crushing shame she’d felt at her sire’s hands. Even decades later and in her darkest moments, she remembered how he’d made her feel.

Used.

Sick to her stomach.

Debased.

Spoiled.

“Beatrice, please look at me.” Baldwin requested.

It was clear how conscious he was of not stepping past her comfort level and it made her trust him enough to accede to his request.

“May I take your hand?” He asked, offering his own and after a brief hesitation, she placed her hand in his.

“Would you permit me to be your guide, teach you everything you should have learned from someone who cares for you, as I do?”

“Baldwin, I cannot ask you to-“

“You didn’t ask,” he reminded her “but you have had so much of your agency torn from you already so I do not wish to contribute to that. This is your choice and no matter what you decide I will always be here for you!”

She had been shown such little kindness by men in her life that she was unsure if the feelings that had been slowly growing for Baldwin in the weeks since they’d met were simply a result of this trust and comfort or if this was how she was supposed to have felt for her husband, or even her sire.

“Alright, if you will have me as a student.”

He gave her a polite nod, raising her hand to his lips to place a chaste kiss on the back of her hand, reminding her of a fairytale prince.

“First lesson is at dinner tonight,” he told her in a conspiratorial tone, “where you will learn to drink proper wine and not the swill Matthew serves!”

She laughed at his low opinion of his brother’s taste.

“That sound, is the most magical thing I have ever heard,” he complimented, “and I look forward to giving you more occasion to grace me with it’s melody.”

She wasn’t quite sure how to respond to his statement but he was not expecting an answer as he led her back to the fortress, her hand still quite content in his own.

- Louis has three official mistresses throughout the course of the show: Louise da la Vallière, Madame de Montespan and Madame Scarron/de Maintenon (who later marries Louis). I'm not counting Henriette because they had an affair considering she was married to Philippe at the time.

- Chevalier went to prison once every season

- Chevalier has had three hairstyles, one for each season. But ofc s3 hair was the best

- Bontemps has cockblocked Monchevy 3 times

- There were three priests working at/for Versailles in the series: Bishop Bossuet, Father Pascal and Father Etienne.

sophie de clermont is the 17 year old daughter of beatrice de clermont, her father having passed away. she comes from a line of penniless nobles, an imposter at the court of versailles. she entered court at the age of 14, alongside her mother and has been known as the fairest at court, with ability to surpass mme de montespan in her later years. 

she is a social climber, quiet but intelligent. in the passing of her mother, turned a traitor, sophie offers her service to the crown in exchange for her status to be maintained ---- with this in mind, only the king and his chief of police are aware of her lack of lineage. 

sophie provides service to the king’s chief of police, monsieur marchal --- acting as a spy and informant in the salons of versailles and later as wife of the duc de cassel, until his untimely death. 

sophie is deeply romantic, believing in the fairy tales of marriage through love and none other. while willing to act as part of her duty to the king in her marrriage to cassel, she maintains interests in other men. 

acting as lady in waiting to both wives of monsieur, henriette of england and the princess palatine, sophie has an in depth knowledge of social requirements at the court of versailles, as well as a finely tuned awareness to the darker secrets held in the salons.
