Design for " Mesothulas " spawn of unicron Tarantulas

In the depths of Castle Scorponok spiders spin their webs, a relic from a prehistoric war, and unwelcomed guiding hand in earth's history

Mesothulas is an alias used by the evil cannibalistic Tarantulas to avoid recognition, thought to be dead after an ancient war yet to come, tarantulas survived but was heavily wounded, left stranded here on earth he's been manipulating the relationship between terrans and humans to put himself in a position of power, making sure humanity at large doesn't know about the transformers as the technology to heal his injuries hasn't been invented yet and he knows he's vulnerable in his current state

Tarantulas is directly responsible for the current state of Scorponok having stuffed him full of modifications over the years to reach his current size. Over time his work caused Tarantula's already wounded body to deteriorate, forcing him to seclude himself inside Scorponok and create servants that would be his eyes, hands, and ears to the outside world creating the six clan, named after his own six arms, then creating his human decepticons, knowing the autobots and decepticons would one day come to earth, and already picking a side

While he expected his presence to attract more activity to earth, he was surprised to see himself personally witnesses the allspark fall into the planet, and especially to see who was hot on it's trail. The quintesons, fellow spawns of unicron offered aid to tarantulas but they were followed by the forces of the fallen and a prolonged battle between the two sides erupted, which resulted in tarantulas creating such horrible things to aid the quintesons that in the end they too abandoned him on the planet which led him to where he is today

I have to say the hilarity of the difference between BeastWars Trantulas and Earthspark Trantulas, like one is banned from every science fair while the other writes brooding poetry

Tarantulas: I would presume you are talking about an alternate reality?

Tarantulas: which, interesting. I suppose you lot are more… cosmic, than is let on. And I don’t do poetry. Unless you mean the other one? But that seems unlikely because I can be rather broody… regardless: I don’t do poetry, but I have taken up crochet and knitting at times when I’m particularly bored or just need something to do with my hands.

UT — I haven’t watched much of BW but I wholeheartedly agree, it is hilarious. We have batshit insane in every other iteration ever and then Tired War Refugee/Runaway-Deserter/MIA Science Spider™️. And then he just spontaneously adopts Nightshade by accident, which makes it even funnier when we remember that he’s also Springer’s creator in IDW, so he has a whole trend going with being the parent to green children. XD

Earthspark Nightshade and Jawbreaker meeting other transformers with animal/beast alt modes 🙏

I hope this is what you meant AHSBHA I tbh just used this to draw my faves from beast wars (Except for Terrorsaur because I wanted to pick the ones probably least likely to murder the Terrans on sight). Also idk if adding Tarantulas was cheating because they already met him, but he IS my fave character in both Earthspark and BW. Grimlock is also one of my faves but I decided having 1 character already in Earthspark (other than the Terrans) was enough.

Cheetor is probably just happy that this Tarantulas isn’t torturing him this time around. Dinobot is in the back questioning why they aren’t doing combat training ??? Decided to add Slash (TF:RBA) too because I thought having some more small dinos would be fun. And Waspinator has been blown up (as always) by the smart trainer.

I’m not shading allat sorry chat BUT I enjoyed drawing my faves HEHEHE (BW is peak and everybody should watch it.)
