hi lew! waves

- the brushes I used for WIYR are pretty much what I've used for most of my recent videos - just about all of my art videos since the start of 2021. i use krita, so i have a more solid brush I use for lines & filling in color and I have a funny texture brush (that's the spongey texture you noticed!). for the end of WIYR + the frames of joel and scott's bodies, I also used a mixture of krita's various built-in splatter effect brushes 🤗

- specifically I use 3 or so sizes of ink 7 brush rough for lines and shapes (sizes 10.05 pixels, 25.01px, and 94.28px - if my canvas is v small I also have a 4.12px), and my primary texture is two sizes of chalk grainy (generally i use it at 90px, but I also have a larger size at 195.57px, and in case I need it, a 43.83px version as well)

- for the blood I probably used texture splat and texture spray with a bit of texture starfield for flavor

- the frames in the opening are meant to represent either each players' connection to dogwarts, or to symbolize their role in the series (ex. bdubs' frame is just him building the crastle bc I couldnt think of anything else for him)

- "your face wasnt quite as I remember" was Always intended to show that ren had changed in some way, but it definitely didnt seem to click with most people until PWH was added in front of it!

- the arrow killing etho is still visible, as you mentioned! the fire around it is burning white :) because that's the hottest part of the fire :))

- I'll be honest I NEVER noticed the parallel in the shapes behind joel between his two frames but it's Very cool to see! the second one was intended to be a crater in the desert, yes

a few weeks ago i went thru the “where is your rider” 3L animatic by @aroaceacacia​ frame by frame in DMs to a friend to explain what i liked about, uh, nearly every image in the animatic, so just for fun ive collected and cleaned up my comments on it. i expanded on a bunch of the stuff i said previously and made it all sound more coherent. that said, this is a mix of analyzing the actual content (by someone who is not an artist) and just. pointing at frames i liked.

Transylvania Bear & Friend - Earlier Saturday Evening. These snippets were taken from the live cam feed from Romania from “Bear Watching Transylvania” hosted by YouTube. The bear gets an itch scratched, Is joined by a friend, probably a fox, that crosses the top of the screen while the bear is munching on treats left in the hollow of the rock. Finally the bear takes a dip in a waterhole. My Joe Hills, for @mcytblrsexymen

i went into this project expecting that i would synthesize a lot of the more ""sexyman""-style joe designs that have popped up recently. I thought, "I'll draw Everyone's Joe Hills". and then i found myself adding references to the things he did and made when I was an active Joe fan, and going for a more updated joe look but retaining the energy and mortality of the Joes I drew before, and I quickly realized I'd been drawing My Joe Hills all along. So here he is: a tribute to many of my favorite Joe works that I've done. Most of the colors were either picked directly (or then slightly modified) from my old fanart - the neon green of his gloves came from my 2020 jhost, the color of the chains came from the super hostile joe, the roller toaster pin used the browns from "the box" joe zine piece, etc. It ended up meaning a lot to me, being able to draw it.

And yes, the green glass pane and shirt are transparent. Yeah, it's on purpose.

vechs, deadheart, and hillfeather are my favorite part of this au so far please look at them! this au is so much fun to help create

i want yall to know that the warriors au has a vague map now and official lore that says that dreamwhisker (dream) used to be the leader of dreamclan with deerstrike (callahan) as deputy. dreamwhisker steps down and gives his nine lives to deerstrike cuz he just wants to chillax with the homies. Deerstrike appoints Ashdawn (alyssa, name recently changed cus shadowclan ashheart dared exist) as the new deputy then Deerstrike Fucking Dies and dreamwhisker takes back leadership of the clan with ashdawn as deputy due to her not wanting the leader role. This goes on until the split of the clan into dreamclan and l’tomclan and palegaze (eret) sells out l’tomclan for the role of leader, dreamwhisker gives up his nine lives and become palestars deputy

oh also we have three humans in the au and we love them, pixelriffs and zloyxp of the hermitcraft recap are animal behaviourist students with grant money they want to waste so they try to make sense of the forest meanwhile vechs is just a Guy that lives near the forest and cats get stuck in his impossible to escape patio (aka super hostile maps), he tries to take care of the cats but he treats them like dogs
