Jennifer Bea has passed away. She was reported dead February 14, 2020 by the BIFA social media account.

Jennifer Bea died recently. The cause of death is unknown.

She was the lead actress in BIFA-winning short The Big Day. Her ways of acting was highly praised by voters, she was the key to the movie success. The news of her death had tributes pouring on Twitter.

This month (September) at the V.A.S.M...

What are we up to?

As of this month, we've started to put together our casting call! The Casting Call doc has been created and our script is being actively perused for Sides. We're not quite finished with the first draft of Season 1 quite yet, but we're proud to say that we have at least begun nearly every episode. At the moment, we appear to have a very tentative 12 roles to audition for, so start spreading the word if you have voice acting friends, or even if you want want to help our show come to fruition.

We've also begun setting up our crowdfunding for the show. It will be a while before we release the crowdfunding information and numbers, but we're considering a lot of goodies (handmade mugs by co-creator Blakelee, posters, stickers, and perhaps even some shirts or hats!) for our backers. We'll keep y'all posted on when we officially open those up to the public.

Finally, we've started to... *shudders*... use our Instagram and TikTok... so if you want to keep up to date with us over there, you can find us at @before_i_forget_again.pod on the 'gram, or @before-i-forget-again-pod on the clock app.

This Month (March) at the V.A.S.M...

What are we up to?

We have begun scripting for season 1! There's a long road ahead of us, but we're having a great time really getting to know these characters. Two weeks into writing the show and Cielle has already derailed one of the episode plots in favor of a rant about TV season lengths (which was to be expected, I suppose).

Who has taken up residence in our brains recently?

Cowriter Blakelee gave an excellent answer, but I'm afraid that bringing attention to this particular character quite yet might be jumping the bullet (or mysterious deadly accident, as the case may be). Character O, we love you dearly.

Love conquers all! That's not a good thing.

If anybody's going to 1945 anytime soon, Riley would appreciate it if you could pick him up some 'real Kit-Kats'. He says 'the future ones taste a bit queer'. All attempst at gay jokes on Cielle's part were promptly elbowed out of her by Bea. Thanks a bunch!

LORE DROP #7

LORE DROP #6

When co-creator Beck was first coming up with the concept of Before I Forget (Again), he spent a year writing a fact a day about the universe of the show in what has been dubbed the “Nightly Notebook”. This is how most of the characters, settings, and plot were created. In celebration of our Casting Call Launch on January 1st, 2025, we will be dropping bits of non-spoilery lore from the Notebook every day until the casting call launch. Today’s bit of lore is:

Cielle and Riley are super well hydrated, Tati, Bea, Larry, & Sophie are okay, Danny is awful at staying hydrated but reminds everyone else to drink water.

Hey all, Beck here.

When I was a freshman in high school, I drew a picture of a woman with bright pink hair and big green eyes. I used a color palette that I found online made by @lupinsclassroom-deactivated2021 for the background.

I didn’t know her name yet, but I knew that she was gonna do great things.

The next day, I drew another woman, this time with blonde hair, bangs, and a concerned expression.

I didn’t know what to do with these characters yet, but I held onto them and eagerly awaited the day that I would find out where they belonged.

My junior year, I finally found their place. A found family time travel podcast, my first foray into the fiction podcast world that I already loved so much because of shows like Welcome to Night Vale, The Penumbra Podcast, The Bright Sessions, and so many others that had helped me through quarantine. On December 6th, 2021, I opened a little notebook that had been collecting dust on my night stand and began to write down ideas for their world, their story. Friends and loved ones of these characters came to life, plot beats and character traits blossoming with every passing entry. Before I knew it, a year had passed, and I had a show.

It has been three years since I started writing this podcast, and before it’s even out, I already feel so much love for our wonderful show and these beautiful characters. It’s been difficult, it’s been strange, and more than anything, it’s been unlike any project I’ve ever worked on, but it has been marvelous, and I cannot wait to finally bring you all to the world that I’ve loved for the past three years.

So, everyone?
