Confusing dates

I am sure you have come across an American website asking you to input the date but then doesn’t accept 20/03. Or you’ve come across an American website referring to an event on July 25th written as 07/25. Confusing right!

But did you know the US is not the only Anglophone country to do this? In the US they write the date as MM/DD/YEAR. For example, today’s date would be 01/10/2024 or Wednesday, January 10th. This is also the case in Canada. 

In contrast, in the UK we write DD/MM/YEAR. For example, today’s date would be10/01/2024 or Wednesday 10th January 2024. This is also the case in Ireland, Malta, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica and Barbados (among others).

Quirk Idea: Stasis Blade, the user has the ability to generate up to 5 swords from her body that they can telekinetically control. The true power of the blades she generates is their ability to immobilize animate solid beings or objects upon piercing/penetration. At first, said quirk was only available to cease the movement of living organisms but it evolved (through training maybe). The time limit for immobilization could be10 minutes. A problem is, I can't see room for improvement...

I don't think that could work, at least not in a single package. The big issue is that it is a powerful effect that is far too easy to achieve. And having it effect people at first isn't a weakness because it is such a major benefit. Since the swords are under the user's total control, they can easily just fly them into someone and it is game over, made even easier by the amount of swords the user has. What makes it worse is that the effect of the blade is far too long. Ten minutes would be a pretty long time to leave some completely immobile. Even Stain the hoops he had to jump through didn't have such a long time. I think that you either need to make it all about flying swords that the user controls or just make it a singular bladed part with the paralysis effect. Like a user could have a blade or stinger coming out of their forearm that has a paralytic venom. And if you go with the latter, the length of paralyzing someone should be greatly reduced.

So, wait a second - Trump has said that Americans were the enemy since he came into office. The list of enemies is long and includes the entire Intelligence Community, the FBI, the judiciary, former presidents, the press, anyone not white (except Ben Carson and Kanye and Kardashians), and any Democrat alive. And, of course, tons of prominent, life-long Republicans, GOP party elite and anyone who worked for him in the White House but wouldn't break laws for him. All of these Americans have been very clearly identified as enemies for the last four years. This didn't just start over the weekend. Trump has vilified most of America since before he took office. All he's done now is make it perfectly clear that he is only interested the support of white supremacists and rabid racists. Everyone else is not worth his time. He is wrong. He is not worth out time. Vote the most unAmerican president in history into oblivion (and maybe prison) on Nov 3, 2020.
