do you have any other outsider povs considering this? like him showing other hermits and or various reactions?

currently? absolutely nothing concrete. i have only vague ideas in my brain and am bullshitting exactly how i write them as i go :D i am Not At All used to doing stuff like this

i think obviously he'd immediately try and figure out what the fuck was going on. his camera's completely in working order, he establishes, and it'd be a rather strange visual glitch both in terms of "only the person disappearing, not the entire screen" and the timing being oddly coincidental too. so he eventually concludes there's something more going on.

(we're still going with tango being the last lifer in question here. i have literally zero reasoning as to why i chose him but it's him.)

so he invites tango back to talk to him about it - he's not going to go spreading it to everyone on the server when all he knows for certain is "something weird happened on my camera". he simply sends tango a message asking to meet him at his base to discuss his observation results.

tango says no.

he tries again.

tango gives in and comes back to meet him.

and, well, if you've ever seen zedaph's base, you'll be aware that if there is anywhere that looks terrifyingly full of traps to anyone with recent boogeyman-related trauma, it is absolutely no question going to be this. levers and redstone and contraptions everywhere.

tango says he'll stay outside. he needs the fresh air, he says. he's gripping his pickaxe so hard that his knuckles have turned white.

but he has to go inside. zedaph can't show him what's on the cameras if he doesn't. tango makes it very explicitly clear he's not going anywhere near zed, though. he has a weapon in his hotbar. just in case.

(thank you @condorclaw for this next bit. this FUCKS) another thing you need to know about zed's base is that before you enter the observation chamber, he asks you to hand over all of your items for safekeeping. but the last time tango handed someone a bunch of gear and weapons? a newly red bdubs tried to kill him.

I got this idea based on a post from @/sprucewoodmpreg

Basically Scar summons demons on the regular but always making sure his roommate, Grian, is never there to see it

One day, he summons the demon and is doing demon stuff in the living room when Grian walks in, looking this demon right in the eye and it's silent for a little bit as Grian makes direct eye contact with this 7-8ft tall humanoid demon as Scar stands to the side, panicking cause Grian saw his demon oh god and then Grian just goes "aww cute puppy" and walks up stairs and Scar stands there in the living room confused as fuck but also thankful cause hey, he didnt realize the demon?

Others have come over and seen the demon and immediately realized it was one (Scott? Solidarity? Joel? Ren? Idk) and so Scar tells them and now there is a giant betting ring for how long it takes for Grian to realize its a demon, not a dog

The betting pool grows everytime someone sees the demon

So many thoughts of Last Life, so little time

Obviously ive been thinking about episode 7 a lot considering its the most recent so imma start with random things from that

Bdubs with the "he loves me" line? Terrible. How Dare he make me Feel. Grian saying how "if he loves you why didnt he give you a life?" Also Terrible. Like i feel like with Grian hes kinda projecting from when he went red the first time. For him, once he went red there was no way for him to rejoin, he had to go elsewhere to get a life back while for Bdubs, Etho had helped him out multiple times to come back from red. So for Bdubs, he does know that Etho loves him and does want him back but for Grian? Once he turned red he was immediately gone. Etho split their base in half so that Bdubs could stay when he first went red, the Southlands said goodbye quickly and kicked him out. Its just the difference of situation kinda, while Bdubs knows Etho care, Grian has no reason to believe anyone would care after you turn red because no one cared for him, why would Bdubs be special? Why would Bdubs be treated kindly when he was apologized to yet not allowed back, even as his alliance memebers had lives to spare. I have a lot of brainrot for Grian and Etho specifically and that grows to immediate alliances as well

Also can i just say i love how this is kinda shaping up to be a thing of red vs. Yellow and green? Because i absolutely love it, just having the yellows and greens all group up against the reds who are all allianced to keep themselves safe, everyone being forced to trust those around them even if they honestly dont want to? Its amazing. Just the mutual understandings for the greens and yellows that right now? It doesnt matter whats happened, we dont want any more reds, we just wanna survive. And for the reds the understanding of at any point any of us could kill the others but we have a more pressing goal so we are teamed. Its just so good, im loving it.

Also we got like 3 widows in 7, huh? Martyn and Mumbo were married and now Mumbos gone, Etho and Bdubs were married and now Bdubs is gone, and Joel and Lizzie are married and Lizzie is gone. Its kinda funky. Also funky how Grian cause two of the widows, him killing both Mumbo and Bdubs.

I have three people i would want to win for varying reasons. Grian because two time winner would be cool and a lot of angst can come from that like putting as though he knew the pain of winning and wanted to make sure no one else had to deal with it and such. Etho because itd be so great to see him go like "im going to win for you Bdubs" or something and also again angst, if you cant tell angst is on my mind a lot. And three Scar. I want him to win on accident. I want him to walk up to the other red life still alive, jokingly punch them, and have them fall off a cliff, marking him the winner. He didnt mean to, oops. He won. Itd be funny.

I think these are all the thoughts im typing in this big post for now, anyways feel free to at any time message me or anything for Last Life brainrot cause i can and will share it all. I also have story ideas n' stuff so maybe ill make a thing with one of those or something

Last Life characters and biting people

Grian: bites everyone and everything, both to show affection and agression. Mumbo usually got bit out of affection when he was alive. When Scar would try and rip the South off, Grian bit out of agression

Bdubs: would bite anyone but less likely to bite friends

Joel: always has the urge to bite, only acts on it while red (he bites the fellow reds but so does Grian sometimes, no one minds)

Cleo: doesnt bite but does claw/set you on fire

Ren: bites if he feels the need to and only for protection

Scott and Pearl: both would bite if the other wasnt there, they keep each other from biting people

Mumbo: wouldnt bite because what??? Why??? Would you bite someone??? Thats unsanitary...

Impulse: usually no but if he really feels the need he will

Jimmy: attempts to bite. He fails.

Martyn: could bite. Hes willing to, but usually wont. Is willing to though

Lizzie: she bites but the only person to acknowledge it is Joel, everyone else will seemingly ignore her biting them or biting others in front of them

BigB: he doesnt bite, he doesnt want yalls diseases. Yall icky.

Etho: doesnt bite but only because he has a mask. The mask doesnt stop him from biting Bdubs though. He doesnt take the mask off, just bites through it

Skizz: 100% bites, him and Bdubs will randomly start biting each other. Its how they show affection for each other. Let them.

Tango: bites if in danger or if very comfy with the others, used to sometimes join in with Bdubs and Skizz

Scar: bites everyone randomly whenever he feels the urge. Theres no reason. He just wants ta bite ya
