Task 7: Business Savvy Thread

Thread: Holi-daze ||  Hatter + Laurette

Laurette couldn’t wait to start celebrating the winter season and all of those extra special holidays that came one after the other. She didn’t really celebrate them before in France. Her father would blow money on his own vices rather than anything festive. Paulette always did her best to provide a whimsical holiday for the youngest de la Croix, but it only made Laurette feel guilty for wanting something extravagant...

But Laurette would feel guilty no more! She’d begged Mr. Hatter to let them decorate the cafe with cute winter themed decor. When he caved, Laurette squealed and ran home to go get some of the things she had stocked up for just this occasion. 

Kicking the door open, the gleeful ginger pushed it the rest of the way with the massive box in her arms. “Monsieur Hatter! I brought the stuff I was talking about! Come look!” She called out, assuming he was in the back somewhere.

Elevator Music Intensifies || Kristan

The fact that she was in the middle of town surrounded by people who probably didn’t want her there gave her enough anxiety. And she had to get inside a small moving contraption on top of that? San just wanted a way to earn her keep. Sure, Merida wasn’t making her pay to live in the castle, but San needed money to do anything else. 

The she wolf stepped into the metal box and nodded at her fellow citizen also entering. She didn’t press any buttons. In her defense, she didn’t know how these things worked. And to be perfectly frank, she was just going to ask anyone working there for a job. The floor didn’t matter. The lift lurched and she closed her eyes, somehow only feeling the floating sensation made it worse. Opening her soft brown eyes, San saw the lights flicker for a split second. And with her superior hearing, heard the faint laughter of a trickster ghost child. All of a sudden the box lurched once again and stopped moving altogether. Lights powered off. 

“What’s happening?” she huffed in a panicked tone.

2. Plot a thread that takes place in one of Swynlake’s businesses with a mun that you don’t currently have a thread with.

Susan’s dark eyes darted around the eclectic decor at Hatter’s while she waited for her ‘date.’ Even the word itself brought on a wave of anxiety to the succubus. It wasn’t that people made her nervous, or that she didn’t think her date would go well... honestly, it going well is what scared her. She could never be with such a sweet woman like Tiana Truitt. She had so much going for her, a blossoming career and new restaurant, a pretty face. 

The reserved woman knew this was set up by interested parties. “You’re a beautiful woman, Susan. You need to get out more!” She rolled her eyes at that. If only they knew... Pulled out of her negative reverie by a bell ringing, she looked up and smiled instinctively.

“Tiana. It’s so good to see you, you look wonderful.”

Task 19: Wanted Ad

The Blood of Transylvania || Van Helsing AU

Rose Van Helsing sauntered into this small dreary village at the base of an even drearier mountain range. The year was 1887, the year that Dracula would die. Judging eyes followed her as she went about her business. Was it the cross bow she held loosely in her hands? Or the rather intimidating get up? 

Though she had a small stature, her stern face and black leathers adorning her made up for it. She approached the woman seeming to be in charge, the one she’d seen pictures of. Hair as white as a vampire’s skin, beautiful and rare. She was the last of her kind. The last Valerious. Rose didn’t pay any mind to the stares of others, just this woman’s. 

Their eyes were locked from across the courtyard. Was she aware of Rose’s business here? Either way, the Huntress would conduct it whether they ‘allowed’ it or not.

She tipped her hat, “Good day, Ma’am. I am here to kill Dracula.” 

Just as the statement left her lips, a shriek in the distance cut through everyone else’s silence. Three swooping figures appeared with singsongy taunts and chaos erupted. The last Valerious started barking orders and Rose plunged into action.

Baby Raptor as her background, because he is her pride and joy.

10 Contacts are: Tom, Phil, John, Henry, Clara, Dad, Kai (late ex boyfriend), Somer (friend from NYC), Red Head CHEM (she is one of those who only knows her classmates by feature and class), Crocs Boy PSYCH

and 4 apps are: Instagram, Twitter, Among Us, Reddit (don’t judge her, she just likes to judge others on the internet)

28. Your character’s closet. Give 15 pieces of clothing with a little description of the “history” of the apparel. Is it a favorite shirt, did they get it traveling, is it their lucky pair of underwear etc etc.

Jackets! Rose has two that she wears with basically everything. Her green canvas one is by far her favorite article of clothing she owns. Her leather one is her second fave, because it makes her feel like a badass. 

Bottoms! She loves her comfort. On her lazy days her joggers are her go to, but if she is putting a bit more effort (still minimal bc mood) she will wear an easy pair of jeans. She particularly likes these black ones or her ‘holy’ boyfriend jeans. If she is reaaally dressing up, she loves her leather skirt. Again certified badass. 

Exercise outfit! She is a basic legging and sports bra wearer when working out. Rose loves her black outfits, plus this fit is comfy! 

Tops! Rose is a graphic tee gal. She also loves casual wear and hoodies. She got her Pride U hoodie on her first day on campus when an eager RA was trying to gain her trust, she took it because it is very comfy. She’s had the pink pullover for years, it is faded from its original more saturated pink but she refuses to part with it. 

Shoes! Boots are life when it comes to Rose. The brown boots are from Home Depot, and she is kinda ashamed of that. But she really likes them! She was shopping with her Huntsclan members for chains and wood for their hunt and she picked them up despite being teased about it. And they are still a staple in her wardrobe.

You wouldn’t find these pictures displayed in Rose’s room, hung up or otherwise. Their frayed edges were taped to crumpled up construction paper and stuffed in a trunk, barely to be looked at. But still, Rose kept them. Hidden away, but still remembered and in her possession. These photographs were all she had left of Kai. While she felt like she didn’t deserve to have such keepsakes... she couldn’t bear to part with them. All of the pictures reminded her of a time when she could forget who she was and that the smiles and laughter were supposed to be a sham. But they weren’t. They were real and she loved him. This crumpled page with six photos barely hanging on was all she had left of her beloved. It was her fault, too. So as one last ‘love letter’ of sorts Rose scribbled an apology onto it and prayed he knew she meant it.
