the sun shining through julian’s blinds woke ashley up. although not a stranger to waking up in unfamiliar beds, for a moment, she was disoriented. but it didn’t take long for her to remember what had happened the night before; from her call to julian to the marks on his back to him insisting she take the bed. eager to talk to him to see if his back was any better, ashley rolled out of julian’s bed and left his room. heading directly for the couch julian had set up on, she was only slightly surprised to find it empty; it wasn’t a huge shocker that julian was an early riser. shrugging, she turned to head to the kitchen to get a glass of water. “hey eli,” she said casually, shooting him a smile as if it was normal for her to be in his kitchen.

          ❛ It’s not –––––––– tiny. ❜ This was a bit of an understatement. After a MONTH of stalking this apartment online, the day finally arrived the two of them would get to see it in real life & Bobby wasn’t disappointed. It was a nice little place with a spacious living room & homey trim on ivory walls, not much too it, but nonetheless, it was NICE.

          ❛ There’s enough space for the eight hundred pet beds we’ll have to put down, 15 minute subway ride to the theatre, and we can actually afford it, which is always a plus. The yard looks like shit but at least there is one, && second floor means it’s not an obscene amount of stairs. ❜ He doesn’t bother to face Kevin, just rests one calloused hand on the bedroom window frame, staring out & observing the view, silently judging. It smells like new apartment –– something odd yet familiar that he hadn’t smelled since he graduated and moved to the city. Out the window was the aforementioned yard if you could call it that; a bricked area surrounded by a creaky wood fence, a table & two old metal chairs set upon it. 

          He was actually charmed.
