HELLO. DO YOU HAVE ANY SPARE DILFWORTH/MAGGIE HEADCANONS 🥺 (love your writing more than life btw)

HELLO, thank you so much! Oh boy it’s difficult to come up with more stuff for characters you’re really only extrapolating a couple of pages about, but I like a challenge so here are some to build on the other big Maggie/Dilfworth post I made:

- so after the Airplane Incident they’re so engrossed in talking at the baggage claim about everything from music to shitty first jobs that Went misses his bag going around the carousel three times. In his defence Maggie’s laugh is a breathless, staccato sound like a xylophone of breezes and she runs one hand over the back of her head to grip the ends of her own dark hair every time she does, so who can blame him for trying to be his absolute funniest in between grinning like a man who’s won the lottery. Also in his defence, Maggie doesn’t leave after she’s collected hers (they both go to grab it from the carousel at the same time and kinda stare at each other, then at their touching hands. Went licks his lips a couple times and says “Sorry, don’t uh. Don’t misunderstand, I was only trying to steal it,” which makes her laugh again) and Maggie doesn’t leave because she’s busy hinting she’d like him to come visit her on campus some time, maybe next weekend? They exchange their landlines and she says “See you then, Doctor Dentist,” because there’s something about his nonthreatening calmness that makes her feel very bold in trying to ruffle it up.

- their first date is to the movies, because it’s 1971 and what else are you gonna do

- Went has the best poker face she’s ever seen, and she’d already been teasing him about being a dentist so when he asks her what snacks she’d like, she replies with a long list of the sugariest kinds they have. But he only whistles low and raises his eyebrows, sauntering off to the concession stand before she can reel him back. They eat all of it between them, and Went spends the whole movie muttering scathing put-downs about the poor choices the characters keep making and it’s the first time Maggie hasn’t ever cared about being shushed by the people in front of her

- also also also he picked her up in his car (and she’d also teased him about how she’s sure he could only drive a convertible bc he’s so tall and leggy that anything else would leave his knees up by his ears, but it’s not a convertible. It does have a sun-roof though, and after the movie they go driving, as Young People do in 1971 I guess and he’s like “Sorry the roof doesn’t fold down, I know you’d look great doing the whole Audrey Hepburn thing,” and Maggie just eyeballs him as she slides the sun-roof back. Then she’s standing on the bench seat and whooping, sticking her torso out of the roof like it’s a carnival ride and Went’s like 💕😬💕 as he holds her steady with one arm (over her dress, it’s the first date) for her dear, dear life

- I love the idea that Maggie likes sci-fi, for some reason. She loves Star Trek TOS, loves the music, wants to try and obtain a theremin for her thesis project. The first gift Went ever gives her is a signed copy of The Left Hand of Darkness when she takes him to an Ursula LeGuin talk at her college, and Maggie kisses the daylights out of him against a tree right there in the quad

- Went likes fishing and baseball and photography and fuckin... comedy records and he definitely got bullied at school for being a skinny nerd. Doesn’t have too many friends given that he’s moved cities and is generally kinda quiet, but Maggie’s friends like him. More importantly, Maggie likes him a lot, likes the endless antelope stretch of his legs when he props them up on any surface available, the lean lines around his mouth, likes how the veins on the backs of his hands form warm diamonds around the indents of his knuckles, likes that when she says “oh damn, is it raining?” rhetorically in the car at the first few drops, he rolls his window down and sticks his hand out into the wet and says “yes, Maggie, it’s raining. Wipers or no wipers, what’ll it be?” She likes to be the person he trusts enough to be silly and wry and sincere with. She likes to buy him records based purely on the cover art alone, she likes introducing him to classical music and she likes to drive his car so he can look at the maps and stick his head out the roof, and she likes that the wind makes him look like a cartoon blown up with dynamite, because he’s somehow always just in need of a haircut, and she is so, so scared he will be ensnared by the draft now that he’s left academia, as it has ensnared so many of her other friends.

- She makes fun of it, but she likes his name, “I like that Tozier has a z in it, of all things,” she says once. “I don’t know, it’s unusual. I never heard of a Tozier before.” And Went says, “Last of my kind. Like Tigger, in fact. You’re lucky you ever caught me in the wild,” as he very studiously and ineptly investigates her electric keyboard. She calls him Went most of the time, Legs when she’s particularly hot for him, but they do also have a lot of Wentworthy/Unwentworthy jokes.

- the first time they have sex is because they’re six dates deep and Went has yet to hear her sing.

- they’re lying top to toe in Went’s bed while they’re both studying (Went might be practicing dentistry now but he still has paperwork and journals to read) and he’s tapping her crossed ankle along to something she’s humming. “What’s that song? Maggie?”

“Hmm?”

“Will you sing it for me?”

“Oh, no,” she says, covering her face with her book. “No, it’s just some rock song, ignore me. I’m being disruptive to the study environment.”

Went waggles his eyebrows, examining the whole bare sweep of her legs. “That’s for sure. C’mon, you’re minoring in vocal studies, aren’t I going to hear you eventually?”

“Nope,” Maggie grins, and enjoys how warm his hand feels cupping the sleek of her calf muscle. “I’m shy.”

“The Maggie Avery I know isn’t shy, unless I’ve been wooing an impostor for the last nine weeks.”

She laughs and flutters inside, like her whole body is filled with whirling pillowfight feathers at the thought of being wooed, being courted, being allowed to exist as an interesting person and not just a skirt to be chased. At the fact that he knows how long it’s been and that he counts it in weeks, because even though they telephone a bunch, they can still only see each other at the weekends. Yeah, Carole King said it best. He makes her feel like a natural woman, alright.

“Wooing me.” She sets her book aside. “That’s what you’ve been up to?”

“Yes,” he nods, sitting up to mirror her, cross-legged. “Wooing.”

“Wentwooing,” she says, biting her lip. These games always prick up the hairs on the back of her neck.

“Damn straight,” he says, and oh, those dishy lines are breaking in lean waves around his smiling mouth. She’s a total lost cause for them. “Wooing was one of my very first Scout badges, actually.”

“Oh, so you’ve had practice?” She leans away in faux-disinterest, and her breathing picks up from somewhere deep in her body as he sways forward into the gap, like he’s charmed. She’s very aware of her heartbeat in odd places, pinking her bare heels pressed to the sheets under her knees, loud in the scoop of her clavicle. “I’m not the first to be subjected to a little Wentwooing, then, huh.”

“Not the first, no,” he allows, mild and reasonable as ever. No wonder he did well in medical school. She knows she’s not the first girlfriend, of course, just as he knows about her last ex and the others, and that’s the wonderful thing about him. He doesn’t act like other twenty-two year old boys she knows, he’s a grownup about it all. “But... I’d really dig it if you were the last. Maggie.”

She can’t stop smiling at the way he says it. Casual, contemplative, the look of a man who has cast his line and is happy to wait. It’s belied by the sound of him compulsively cracking his knuckles and the bones in his long bare feet. They’d both thrown on comfortable clothes after coming in from the rainstorm, and Maggie never knew it was possible to feel so at ease alone in a man’s room, a man’s apartment, a man’s spare boxers and faded varsity rowing tee the only things between that same man and her pretty underwear.

“I’d dig that too, Legs,” she says, and tucks her hair behind her ear to kiss him. He untucks it again and kisses her back with a heated mmph, touching her hip and her hair at once. Very light touches, but there’s something about them that makes her feel like he’s got her wrapped up completely. She swirls her arms around the back of his neck and deepens the kiss, as deep as she can manage with the way their knees are obstructive, and at the dragging quiet click of spit, Maggie finds she wouldn’t mind if he touched her firm and wanting all over, sometime soon.

She pulls back to see him flushed, his glasses kinda screwy. He makes a low sound, a sort of cross between a sigh of satisfaction and a groan of regret that their mouths aren’t still moving together. Both of his hands fall to her crossed legs, and he patters fingertips to her skin.

“I got that badge in Boy Scouts too,” he says breathlessly, after a second or five.

“No wonder you’re so good at it,” Maggie says, and raises three fingers in a salute. “Lots of practice around the campfire, hm?”

“Oh, like you wouldn’t believe,” he chortles, saluting her back. “It’s a testament to your feminine wiles I’m even interested, what with my restricted training.” He gestures at her breasts. “We never covered those.”

“Liar, you had them pretty well covered last week,” Maggie teases, her inner thighs burning as she shifts at the memory, the back row of the Aladdin Theater, her tongue in his mouth and his big, gentle hands up her shirt.

“Earned my badge.”

“Well and truly.”

“We should get to work on uncovering them, then,” Went replies, tugging softly at the hem of his shirt she’s wearing, but his eyes don’t stray from her face.

“Wentworth!” She shoves at his hand, laughing again. She has a paper on syncopation due on Friday and a performance to prep for the end-of-semester recital, but she couldn’t care less right now. Lord, she’s so happy. What if it’s love, she thinks giddily, what if I love him, and he loves me. What then?

He dodges her play-slaps to take off his glasses because he only needs them for reading, and it’s just another layer falling away from between them. He’s not Doctor Tozier, he’s not that fucking geek, in the sullen-drunk words of her project partner Jack at a party last month, he’s just... Went. Just a man, as she is a woman. He’s cute and he’s acerbically funny and he makes her feel like they’re partners in some kind of crime, even though neither of them have so much as a speeding ticket. Maggie comes to a decision.

“Alright. I’ll sing the song for you,” she says, climbing off the bed.

“Wait, really?”

“Yes, I actually—oh, here it is.” She rummages in her bookbag and produces the 7” single from its cardboard sleeve. “I bought it on Tuesday and forgot all about it, I was going to show you earlier. Such a dunce.”

“Don’t talk about my girlfriend like that,” Went says, shuffling back on his crossed legs to sit against the headboard. He looks genuinely eager. “She’s finally singing for me, don’t knock her confidence. Though, I guess we’re not getting any more studying done. Duncehood looms for the both of us.”

Maggie straightens up from the record player and unclips her hair until it falls in a dark torrent around her face. She shakes it out, feeling the strength of her voice build in her chest, feeling like she’s on fire from the glare of a stage spotlight. Getting into the mindset of a song is an important part of performance. “Would you rather study? We can study if you like.”

“No, no,” Went says evenly. His face is pink again and his eyes are very dark, watching her. “I think I’d much rather do this.”

So Maggie sings. The record cranks to a crescendo on the choruses like a runaway train and Maggie loses herself in it, closing her eyes and dancing. She’s an elegant dancer to classical music and an awkward one to rock and roll. Went is even worse, the pair of them clunking their bodies together at parties like a game of marbles because it’s funny that way, it’s funnier with two. But she tries not to feel silly, because she knows her voice is good. People tell her so. She knows it’s so, and she’s proud of her very own instrument nestled in the nave of her throat, and she wonders why it had been such a nerve-wracking prospect to let Went hear her sing. Perhaps it’s because she holds it so dear. She doesn’t know when his opinion became so important to her, but it is. The sound thunders up easily from her chest, controlled and so fluid she can almost visualize it leaving her lips like a stream, so controlled she can let the control a little loose whenever she wants to wail along with Marc Bolan, like the only rockstar in an oversized preppy shirt, get it on, bang a gong, get it on.

The record scratches to a close but she doesn’t feel finished, there’s still breath left in her yet. She segues easily into one of Went’s horribly cutting and clever comedy records, so she has an excuse for her face burning. It’s not because she can’t open her eyes and see his reaction, it’s because she’s singing about smut, of course. Every brush of the hems of his borrowed shorts against the ticklish backs of her legs, is felt. Her hair is thick and warm and her scalp is starting to sweat with all her uninhibited bouncing. Eventually she gives up and collapses to the bed, giggling and breathless. She buries her face into the covers feeling more ridiculous than she normally does in the vicinity of his generally impassive nature. He’s stable, somehow without being boring. It keeps her on her toes at least, that damnable poker face; she actually takes great delight in the way she finds herself coming further and further out of her shell, just to try and call his bluff.

“Gosh, I hope your neighbors like T-Rex,” she mumbles. She’s crouched with her knees and hands huddled under her, waiting for her fearsome blush to subside. Waiting for him to say something. She’s aware of his quiet presence at the headboard, just as she is so suddenly aware of the way his soft tee is riding up her hunched form, exposing her lower back to the fresh night air. “I’m—I should send them all an apology note for disturbing their Saturday evenings.”

“You should be charging them for the privilege,” Went croaks.

Maggie looks up at him, sharply. He stares back, still cross-legged with his hands stuffed down into his lap and a dazed expression on his face. She kneels towards him, feeling the residual magic of the music spark powerful deep through her body, between her legs. “You think I’ll pass vocal performance?”

“Jesus Christ, Maggie,” he says, unfolding his endless legs so she can straddle them. His hands are restless against her hips, moved from where they’d been hiding the thick line in his shorts. “And all this time I thought you’d been hiding the terrible secret that you’re actually a bad singer.”

She laughs against his neck. “Oh really?”

“Yeah, just awful. I figured you must be a banshee or something.”

“You did not, don’t joke!”

“I never joke,” he grins. He kisses her harder than before, restless hands squeezing at her ribcage, her thighs, just below the hemlines. Maggie presses her hips forward and grips fiercely at his ropy upper arms, gasping. “I’m deadly serious, that was—you’re a knockout at everything, it’s hardly fair.”

“Went.”

“Mags, I’m obliged to tell you I have one hell of a crush on you.”

“Went.”

“I can’t believe you’re my girlfriend,” he says, and Maggie’s stomach flips at the rare note of bemused, painful sincerity in his voice.

“Went, you can uncover them now,” she says, and shimmery heat floods between her thighs as he ruts upwards, abruptly.

“Sorry,” he pants, “what?”

“Take my shirt off, please. And I have a crush on you too, you dunce.”

He does as she asks of him and says, “Jesus Christ,” again, and a whole lot of other curse words and sweet things and silly nonsense that makes her laugh more than she’s ever laughed doing this with someone, and afterwards his hair looks the way it does when it’s his turn to stick his head out of the sun-roof.

He rolls off to collapse beside her. As soon as they catch their breath he says, “I’m gonna bring you breakfast in bed. Right now.”

“It’s 11pm!” Maggie wheezes, watching him stagger naked from the bedroom. The sight of his narrow waist flaring up into broad, bony shoulders is unbearable, now that she knows how it all feels between her legs and rippling under her hands. It makes her voracious for more. She aches wonderfully in all the right places, just like a good callisthenic stretch should.

It was quite a stretch, she thinks, and shivers, turning her head to breathe into the sweaty tangle of her own loose hair spilled across the pillow.

“Eleven is technically almost morning, isn’t it,” he calls back, clattering in the kitchen. “Plus you’ll need the energy, because we’re doing that again immediately. If you want to, of course,” he adds hastily.

“Of course,” Maggie snorts. Her cheeks ache too, from happiness. “We’ve got badges to earn.”

- Her mom likes him too because he’s a dentist, Margaret, but her dad thinks he’s a hippie with a fake diploma because he still has sideburns lmfao. Went’s parents like Maggie, but it’s a lot to do with how she tries so hard to make them like her. She’s like, shaking by the end of day 1 of her first meeting with them like “I just don’t ever want you to have to choose,” and Went (absentmindedly fiddling with an old toy robot, they’re staying in his childhood bedroom) is like “Don’t worry, I’d choose you any time. I mean, I’d have to kill them but I’m sure they’d understand,” and Maggie’s like “I’m serious!” and Went turns to her and says, “So am I, Mags,” and then wraps all his long stick insect limbs around her refusing to let go until she’s laughing again

- He’s also very neat, he does all his own ironing so his work tunics are just right. More than once Maggie and her two roommates come back to the apartment during weekends to find him standing in socks and boxers and ironing piles and piles of everyone’s laundry, and he refuses to believe Maggie that this is weird. She thinks back to her old boyfriends who could barely flush a toilet and thinks hm, maybe it’s not so weird

- for the first few years of living together after they get married they can’t choose sides of the bed. Like, it changes all the time. “This is intimate anarchy,” Maggie says, after their tenth night in a row of switching. “I’m sure this is what the Summer of Love was all about.”

“Oh, I thought it was about cunnilingus,” Went says brightly, slotting a bookmark into his copy of Jaws and turning off the side lamp. “My mistake. Goodnight, love.”

“Wait!”

- Went comes into the delivery room after Richie’s born, looking more shaken than Maggie herself, ashen and stressed. “I could hear you screaming from out there,” he whispers, kissing her forehead and jerking his thumb back over his shoulder, bloodshot eyes locked on the swaddled bundle on her chest. “Darling. Oh, Maggie.”

“We’re alright now,” she says, hoarse. “I was just letting him know however loud he is, he gets it from his mother.”

“Him?” Went bleats, his eyes so wide. He still only needs his glasses for reading. “He? It’s a boy—we have a—”

“A son, yes,” Maggie says, and wipes at her cheeks. She’s had quite enough fluids on her face for one night, thank you. “Here, take him away from me before I lose my temper with him again.”

She nearly starts crying again when she sees how tiny the baby—Richard, that’s right, they’d decided on Richard for a boy—how tiny he looks in Went’s big, capable hands. They manage not to wake him in the transfer and Wentworth cradles him against his collar for a moment, looking lost. Then he seems to come back to himself, shooting Maggie one of his big, crinkly grins (and God, she’s still a lost cause) as he addresses the consequence of their actions.

“Did you do this?” Went whispers into the blue folds of blanket, pointing one free finger at Maggie. “Look what you’ve done to my wife. How dare you. She looks terrible.”

“Shut up,” Maggie laughs, as quietly as she can.

“She looks terrible and more wonderful than ever,” Went continues in the baby’s ear. “Is this your doing? We’ll make a good team, I think. Between the two of us she doesn’t stand a chance, by thirty-five she’ll be too beautiful to look at and then she might get some peace and quiet.”

“You’re delirious from the thin atmosphere, Legs,” she says. “Give him back, if you drop him from up there he’s done for.”

“I won’t drop him,” Went insists, “you had him for nine months, let me have a turn.” He holds onto Richard while she sleeps, but not before she grabs at his arm and sobs thank you for him, Went, thank you, and Went cries a little too and says what are you thanking me for, I’d get a participation trophy at most, which makes her laugh and say, if anyone deserves a trophy for their participation technique it’s you, and then she falls asleep before she hears his reply.

- they play so much rock and roll for Richie, Maggie makes up her own songs for him and sings to him all the time. Maggie only had older sisters, and Went was an only child so neither of them have very much experience with babies, but Maggie’s friendships with Andrea Uris and Sharon Denbrough from the neighborhood and from book club help a lot, they all seem to have wound up having their firsts in the space of a few months. She values language too much to baby talk Richie, and Went would be clueless as to how to begin, so pretty often she finds him deep in conversation about politics or baseball with Richie babbling in his high chair.

- as I said before, I hc that Maggie speaks maybe French and Italian, and Went finds it incredibly sexy. He can’t reply, of course, he just babbles along in Richie’s ridiculous Voices, it’s basically the Swedish Chef but French or Italian. He calls her Marguerite if it’s French, and Margarita in Italian (“That’s Spanish!” Maggie hoots, stroking his hair back at both temples where it’s frosting to silver already, and clasping her hands around the back of his head. “What do margaritas have to do with Italy?”

“Not Margarita,” Went says. He traces a line between all the pretty moles on her chest, sweeping down between her breasts to the one just beside her navel, the soft little rise of belly that sits in the cup of her iliac crest. That spot always flicks her hips forward with ticklish heat, and if they’re not careful then Richie might end up with a baby sibling Maggie’s not quite ready for yet. “Margherita, like the pizza. You’re cheesy, sweetheart.”)

- both of them smoked but Maggie gave it up when she got pregnant, and now Went doesn’t smoke inside the house. He of course gives it up for good after he gets cancer of the larynx in his late 50s when Richie is 30, which makes Richie quit too

- they love their son and just want him to be HAPPY even if they’re sometimes misguided about what would make him happy, but hey, so is Richie

I Might Even be a Rockstar (HannahMontana!AU)

Summary: Roman is a normal boy with a very normal life who also happens to be a teen pop sensation. Virgil is a normal boy who also happens to have a debilitating crush on a teen pop sensation. Stuff happens I guess

“THANK YOU GUYS FOR COMING, YA’LL HAVE BEEN A GREAT AUDIENCE. GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!!” Princey gave an enthusiastic wave as the pyrotechnics let off there final sparks and confetti erupted from the cannons. Red and gold flecks of glitter raining down into the front section of the screaming crowd. He placed the microphone back in it’s place on the diamontie studded mic stand, before turning and exhaling. He loved this post show high. As he wondered his back to his dressing room he always felt lighter than air and his mind prickled comfortably with static. Someone from the crew handed him a towel and He smiled gratefully and tapped the sweat from his brow as he opened the door to his dressing room, promptly being engulfed into a hug. “You were amazing out there Ro!!” He relaxed after a moment into their arms and laughed softly. “Thanks Patton, that’s really sweet but these contacts are stinging my eyes so can you please let go?”. Patton laughed. “Fair enough,” he replied, as he moved away, allowing Roman to reach the makeup table on the other side of the dressing room, digging though the box of makeup and accessories searching for his contact case. Once found, he opened the container, and placed it on the table, already digging one of the nuisance lenses out of his eye. He glanced up into the mirror surrounded by flashbulbs. The reflection staring back at him had straight, fire engine red hair, perfectly styled into a quiff that took a lung damaging amount of hairspray to maintain. Gold glitter surrounded his eyes in a why which seemed haphazard but was in fact a very particular and intricate type of simple-yet-extravagant glam. Behind the glitter peered two eyes, one a piercing shade or emerald green and one muddy brown. Inconspicuous, boring, basic. Nothing special in the slightest. Swiftly, he removed the second contact, sweeping up their container and placing it neatly back inside the makeup case, which Patton had begun to carefully pack away, handing Roman a pair of oversized, red embezzled sunglasses from the depths of the case, which he promptly slipped over his face as someone knocked at the door. “Come in!” he called, trying to muster up as much pep as he could when in all honesty his eyes were burning, his head was itchy and he may as well have been asleep on his feet. Adieu, post stage high! Until next time. “It’s just us darlin, great show tonight,” came the reply as the door was pushed open to reveal a man with long red hair and a thick moustache along with another, younger man who would look strikingly similar to Princey himself, had most of his face not been obscured from view by tinted sunglasses and a large cap with the words SECURITY printed in bold lettering across the from. “You about ready to go?”. Princey nodded and crossed the room to meet them, adjusting the lopsided cyan wig on Patton’s head on the way. “We’re ready, let’s get this magic trick over with,”.

*Oooooh yeahhh*

Logan LaMottie let out a frustrated sigh, pointed glare focused directly on his best friend. “Virgil, we have school tomorrow morning and the chances of you seeing him, is completely infinitesimal, much less anything actually of interest”. Virgil rolled his eyes, but didn’t quite manage to wipe the small smile or the slight flush off of his face. “Are you still mad about that Lo?” he responded with a mischievous smirk, earning another sound of annoyance from his companion. He peaked at his reflection in the surface of the chrome pole that segregated the crowd away from the scarlet carpet leading to the black limousine with windows so tinted it seemed almost impossible that even the driver would be able to see through them. “Look,” Logan began again, shuffling closer to his friend in an effort to stop the girl next to him from standing on his foot. “Crowds aren’t my scene, and the really aren’t yours either, can we just go? You can just look up photos of him on the ride home or stare at your bedroom wall for a couple hours or something. You already know what he looks like after all”. Virgil turned to look at him for the first time since they’d arrived outside the stadium, literally hours ago. There was something in his eyes that Logan couldn’t quite place. He raised a hand, combing it through his hair before sighing for what must have been a record breaking third time in 45 seconds. This time in defeat. “Fine,” he replied. They could stay for his best friend to fulfil his dream of catching a glimpse of this Princey that he was oh so obsessed with. In the grand scheme of things, Virgil wasn’t one to ask much of him, so he supposed he could give a little just this once. Even if the level of infatuation his friend felt for the superstar was borderline nonsensical. Suddenly the crowd surged forward and the sound around them increased tenfold. Logan, unprepared for this sudden change in his environment was almost engulfed by the crowd, only saved by his friend sheer determination, grabbing his hand and barging anyone who dared to interfere with their prime position. Virgil could only see the very top of the blood red styled hair over someone else head, but as he moved along the carpet with his entourage following en suit Virgil swore he could drop dead right then and there. Princey smiled a wide, perfectly straight, perfectly white grin as he waved to the crowd, blowing kisses every so often. He now wore a red leather jacket over the silver glittery undershirt he had worn on stage, both tailored perfectly to fit his broad shoulders and slim waist. His white jeans were slightly scuffed at the ankles and knees, torn along the front in just the right places, making the olive skin peaking through appear even more tanned. Large sunglasses obscured most of his face but that didn’t matter to Virgil. He didn’t need to see those piercing green eyes to know that it was him. Right in front of him, if only for a moment. It was him. And the look on his face was something else. It was him, and he was so happy to be there. In a place with so many people he had reached and helped and who loved him for it. And though he knew the thought was ridiculous, that he was just another head in the crowd, Princey was so happy to be there with him, too. Logan found himself staring too, although his expression was drastically different than Virgil’s. Virgil’s face contained the kind of euphoria the he seldom let himself feel, much less express. The kind that would allow him to come out the other side of any awful experience still as peppy as Patton Truscott midway though a halftime show. Logan on the other hand, was completely lost in thought. Part of him was amazed that they had managed to pull it of. Part of him wondered how he hadn’t seen it before. Now that he was here it was obvious. The Remus and Roman Stewart did make a habit of acting rather stragely. Micellaneous doctor and dentist appointments pulled one or both of the twins out of class far too often for it to fit to any kind of regular health schedule. Their facial structure resembled Princey's to a tee, excluding his hair and eye colour which could easily be manipulated. For christ sake his first song to take off last Summer was literally called BEST OF BOTH WORLDS LOGAN HOW DAFT COULD YOU HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN. As the star and his posse reached the limousine, Logan snuck a look at his starstruck best friend, then back at the limo as another familiar face with less familiar electric blue hair stepped into the car behind the quote unquote “Rockstar”. “Okay they’re in the car, they’re leaving, time for us to go too.” Logan pulled Virgil by the wrist slightly, almost surprise when his friend followed willingly. He was quiet as they walked back to where Logan had parked, and most of the drive to drop him back home, unable to come up with much more than a couple of breathy half-words as Logan pulled off of the highway and into Virgil’s neighbourhood. He didn’t mind. This certainly was an interesting development, which he hypothesised would more than likely lead to equally interesting results. But first, an adequate circadian rhythm needed to be maintained, and further investigation was required.

okay but like au where jinki is a dentist and taemin is like this tough popular kid and everything and he comes in this one bc maybe he’s hurt or needs something done and he’s scared highkey and is very vulnerable and jinki calms him down and everything then hes like thank god i never have to see him again but turns out that he’s the son of the guy his mom is gonna marry so now he’s stuck with that as a step brother but also his parents don’t give a shit about him so jinki comes to the rescue

So teamin is this 14 year old Cool Kid, but one day he totally face plants while riding his skateboard and he cracks one of his front bottom teeth. His mother is pissed. His normal dentist is on vacation, but he left a recommended colleague in case of emergencies.

This leads to taemin, resident Cool Kid, squirming in a dentist chair with a paper bib fastened around his neck and his hands clenching into fists at his side while Dr. Jinki prepares to fix his poor broken little tooth.

“Are you really a doctor?” Taemin accuses. “This office is really small, ya know. Are you licensed?”

“I promise you I graduated from dental school,” Jinki tells him. He’s seen his fair share of kids who are afraid of the dentist, especially when he has to do something this extensive, so he sort of understands the kid’s trepidation.

“You know, I think my tooth is fine,” Taemin says, his voice going high. “Doesn’t even hurt. I’ll be fine. I’ll go now-“

“Oh no you don’t,” Jinki says quickly, holding onto Taemin’s arm. “You will be just fine, I promise. You won’t feel a thing after we numb your mouth.”

“I’d rather keep my tooth fucked up, thank you.”

“Do you know what will happen if we don’t remove the root from your tooth?” Jinki asks in a calm voice. “It will rot. And it will start to smell. And it could get infected. And then you will be in so much more pain than you will be for the three seconds it will take to numb your mouth.”

“How do you know it’s gonna rot?” Taemin asks in a very high, very scared voice. “It’s fine!”

“It’s exposed because you broke your tooth,” Jinki says softly. “I need to remove the root and then give you a cap. Everything will be fine.”

It ended with a one of the dental hygienists having to hold taemin down while Jinki numbed his mouth.

“This is abuse!”

“If you don’t hold still, it will be way worse than it has to be,” Jinki told him. Then he turned to one of the others, “Where is his mother?”

“She wasn’t in the waiting room.”

Jinki sighs, and after a few minutes of taemin struggling, he finally calms down enough for Jinki to do his job. That didn’t mean taemin didn’t look completely terrified the entire time it was happening. Jinki did feel kind of bad for the kid, but he was very glad when the whole thing was over.

Jinki also notes that when taemin is all done and he’s got a brand new cap on his front bottom tooth, the boy just goes and sits in the waiting room. Jinki had wanted to speak with his mother about everything, tell her how it went, but it looked like she wasn’t even there.

“Hey,” he asks softly, going to sit next to taemin. “Where’s your mom?”

“Lunch with her stupid boyfriend,” Taemin mumbled, not looking at him. “Said she’d pick me up at 3.”

It was 2:30. His office was now responsible for this kid for another thirty minutes. Lovely.

When the kid’s mom did finally show up at 3:30 to pick taemin up, she insisted she couldn’t stay to talk and that they needed to leave immediately. Jinki felt awful for this kid, but there was nothing he could really do about it. Besides, there wasn’t anything else wrong with Taemin’s tooth, and beside the extreme fear of the dentist, nothing was out of the ordinary for the procedure.

Jinki thought he was done with the kid until three months later when he met his dad’s girlfriend and kid for the first time. A month before they’re supposedly getting married.

And taemin is there looking just about as miserable as he did when he was sitting in the chair at Jinki’s office. What a shit show.

Taemin’s mother didn’t remember him in the slightest. Taemin, however, narrowed his eyes and called him, “the evil dentist,” so he’s pretty sure the kid remembered him.

While taemin stays with him a month later because their parents are on their honeymoon, he finds out the source of Taemin’s dentist fear.

“When I was six, I had five teeth pulled,” Taemin tells him while he sits curled up in the couch. Jinki has questioned him, asked him what his problem was with dentists, and it was actually worse than what Jinki thought was just an irrational fear. “There was absolutely nothing wrong them. He said it was fine because they were gonna fall out anyway - they were baby teeth. Two of them were my front two teeth. Not only did it hurt like a bitch, but for FOUR MONTHS I was the weirdo kid who was missing his front teeth WHEN THEY HADNT EVEN BEEN WIGGLY. And I didn’t even get to keep them to put under my pillow for the tooth fairy. And then I found out the tooth fairy wasn’t real.”

“Why on earth did he pull your teeth out?” Jinki asks.

“Because he was a crazy psycho,” Taemin spits. “And he was dating my mom so she didn’t even do anything about it.”

Taemin huffs and buries the bottom half of his face in his knees and mumbles, “and it really hurt.”

So Jinki just does everything he can to help taemin feel comfortable and not be afraid of him or dentists in general. From what he’s gathered, Taemin’s childhood hasn’t exactly been fun, and he feels really bad about it.

(Request: @southsideslutt oh yes so an imagine where y/n gets held for ransom by the ghoulies and sweet pea is freaking out bc that’s his girl and the serpents help calm him down by going on a rescue mission for her and there’s a whole lotta angst and fluff at the end :’’))

Feeling Sweet Pea’s arms wrapped around you on that warm night, as the rain pattered over the tarp keeping the two of you sheltered; Well, it was one of the most comforting feelings in the world. Sure, since the attack, your overprotective boyfriend hadn’t exactly let you go back to your house without a posse of at least five people accompanying you- but that was a precaution that you would have to deal with, given the fact that he was even letting you step back onto that side of town at all. It was clear that your kidnapping had a profound effect on the both of you, making sweet Pea only want to hold you tighter and never let go.. While you couldn't help but be fearful anytime you were left alone for too long.

It was normal wasn’t it? To experience such an anxiety after a trauma like the one you had faced. You were sure that some fancy Northside doctor would have diagnosed you with PTSD, and tried to shove pills down your throat to make the pain and fear go away.. But then again, being from the Southside- it wasn't like you could go to that length- having only a few dollars in your pockets at any given moments.. And absolutely no savings whatsoever in the event of a true emergency.

No… Sweet Pea was the only treament for your nerves that you needed at the moment, his strong arms and the calming and musky scent of his cologne filling your nostrils as he embraced you. The man was content as well, just leaning his face down to press soft kisses over your forehead and the top of your hair, making you feel loved. It seemed to be a rare moment to anyone that caught a glimpse of the aggressive Serpent in such a docile state, cuddling and loving on someone that could actually make him soft. But that was just the affect that you had on the male.

After what had happened, seeing the pure rage and anger on his face while he pummeled those Ghoulies- you knew that it all came from a place of worry. Sure the man was not opposed to cracking a few skulls every now and then, but the way he effortlessly fought off four guys at once- that was a product of love. You knew from experience that Sweet Pea was loyal to a fault, but even as he was faced with uncertainty and many more foes than he could normally handle.. He had done it all to protect you, and pushed himself past his limits.

“You’re as Sweet as they come, aren’t you, Pea?” you asked quietly, tracing your fingertips over the dogtags that were hanging from his neck. Something that you found yourself doing often in such tender moments. Sweet Pea on the other hand inwardly cringed at your little play on words, rolling his eyes, though he did let out a breath that seemed to resemble the ghost of a laugh.

“Yeah, and you’re a fucking dork, Y/N. If we are stating the obvious.. Besides.. You know that I’m pretty much only sweet on you. Ask Toni, Fangs, or Jones.. I’m pretty sure that they would all agree that I am consistently an asshole at any given time, to everyone except you.” he grunted, watching your fingertips as they moved across the somewhat tarnished silver metal. You were so mesmerised by the little things that he kept as a constant in his life, the dogtags, his rings, jacket.. And that hairdo that you swore took more pomade than you figured he or Fangs could ever afford. It was an enigma to you, but at the same time, you would never change a thing about him. One other constant in his life that he was growing to need more and more on a daily basis- was you.

“I am a fucking dork, but you love me anyways.. I mean why else would you have come to my rescue- like some knight in shining… leather jacket?” you teased, looking over to his Serpent skin that was hanging from one of the folding chairs in the corner of his tent. Luckily the canvas fabric had not sprung any leaks lately.. So the two of you were dry as bones.. Though it definitely didn't help the cold situation. It was almost always cold at night in Riverdale, even in the summers.

That was one of the reasons that Sweet Pea was thankful for your presence, he never got too cold when he had you around, able to wrap you in his arms and savor your warmth in his oversized sleeping bag, as you did the same with him. Before, in his trailer, Sweet Pea never seemed to wear more than a pair of sweatpants to bed… but now seeing him curled up in a long sleeved shirt, all cozied up- you were thankful for it, even at the loss of skin on skin contact.

Sweet Pea then moved his hands from your waist, one trailing down to your ass and kneading at the skin gently, before the other moved up towards your hair. He loved the feel of it, so silky beneath his fingertips.. However, the thought that he might have lost you forever was still lingering on the back of his mind, torturing him

Feeling his body tense up, you ripped your eyes away from the cool metal, looking up at him, and pressing a palm against his cheek as he seemed troubled by something. You’d had an idea of what this could all be about. But knowing Sweet Pea, it was going to be a little bit of a battle to get the truth to come out of him. “Baby.. what are you thinking about?” you asked, biting at your lip gently, as his dark brown eyes trailed over your features. The hand that was playing with your hair, moved down to your cheek, tracing the place where that bruise from the bitch Bonnibel seemed to have faded away over time. You closed your eyes at the contact, and nuzzled your face into his hand.

Sweet Pea’s breath hitched, as he felt that he was making his thoughts too obvious, clearing his throat and looking away for a minute. “Nothin.. I mean.. I’m just glad you’re fine.” he nodded, seeming to take a step back from the situation so as not to relive everything that had happened. Of course he was glad that it was over- but at the same time.. He was angry at himself that they hadn't made that Ghoulie bitch pay for what she had done to you. Sure, they had ruined an entire shipment of Jingle Jangle with their little rouse- but that wasn't enough to warrant this war being over- nor the pain that you had gone through. Sweet Pea’s eyes flickered over to your Serpent skin, littered with hoes from various darks and even knives having been flung at the leather while it hung on the wall of the Wyrm.

What if that had been you that they had taken their target practice on- what if you were hurt merely for being a Serpent.. A part of a family yes- but at the same time, something that he could never fully protect you from. Of course Sweet Pea knew that you were capable of holding your own- when it wasn’t and uneven match like it was that night.. But as your boyfriend, he couldn't help but feel like it was his duty to make sure you were safe.

As he had his train of thought, you sighed and caressed over his cheek, seeming to be able to read his mind as he looked at your jacket, damaged and in need of serious repairs. But Brydie was a little out of it these days, and as the Serpent’s resident seamstress, it fell to Toni and Cheryl who were also being driven crazy with keeping up the living standards for the gang. But you knew you needed to comfort Sweet Pea.. reassure him... just the way that he had been doing for you for the past week.

“Sweets I am fine.. I am going to be fine. Sure things were shady for a while- but now that I am here with you, the Serpents.. I’m gonna be okay. That bitch Bonnibel is going to get what is coming to her .. I promise. But that is for me and the girls to do- girl on girl crim is something that needs to be solved by girls.” you laughed, knowing that were Sweet Pea not the slightest bit gentlemanly, he would have socked the girl in the face. But Toni had a plan- and while it was a little devious, you were all for it.

“Tomorrow Cheryl, Toni, and I are going to sneak over to Sunnyside and leave her a little present.. Some pregnant hissing cockroaches should do.” you smirked, crossing your arms, as Sweet Pea looked down at you with an eyebrow arched.

“That’s your idea of payback? Man I can't believe that I’m so crazy for a softy.” he chuckled, though he knew that it would be your decision ultimately how you wanted to take your revenge.. “You should add a rotten fish to her air conditioner for good measure.” he smirked, pulling you over top of him so that you were now straddling his lap, and looking down at him. Your hair fell down the sides of your face, making him reach up and brush parts of it behind your ears- just so he could get a better view of that pretty face. “That should be enough to make the bitch suffer.. “ his low voice gently met your ears, sending a shiver down your spine, as you pressed your palms flat against his chest.

With a swift move, Sweet Pea pulled you back down, so that his fingertips were interlaced in your hair, as his lips moved against your own, memorizing every shape your mouth made against his own as he passionately kissed you. He had never been in love before he met you.. But feeling you now, hand against his heart, while his fingertips massaged at your scalp as you moaned at his touch- he knew.. Anyone who ever crossed that line again and tried to take you away from him- well they were gonna get a hell of a rude awakening.

“I love you so much, sweetheart.” Sweet Pea murmured, his lips moving against your own as he only pulled away enough to get the words out. You giggled a bit into the kiss before you spoke back. “I know you do.. You’re pretty damn smitten.” you smirked.

“You ass.”

mental health talk under the read more

so back in like may i finally got back on medicaid after losing it bc i literally just stopped caring about myself and didn’t reapply, i had stopped taking my meds and skipped dr’s appts etc. but for the past month i’ve really started taking that all seriously again. i got in with a counselor who i really like (i see her once a week via google hangouts) and she assessed me for adhd. one of my biggest fears about going back to see mental health professionals was that i knew that adhd was a big issue for me, but having never formally presented that to any of my doctors before i was just so afraid of not being taken seriously. so now i have an appt to see a psychiatrist and my counselor sent me the adhd assessment we did to take with me, so i think things are looking good in that department. i also am back on thyroid meds with a new pcp, went to the eye doctor and got new glasses (i was wearing the same ones for 5 years and they were so loose on my head they were constantly falling down my nose), saw the dentist and got a cleaning and am scheduled to get fillings, AND for the first time i actually made a gynecologist appt that has been put off for 3 years (which definitely needed to be done considering my mom, her mom, and my grandma’s mom have all had endometriosis + hysterectomies).

while i’m really nervous for my upcoming psychiatrist appt, i’m really proud of myself for making all these appointments despite struggling immensely with making phone calls lol. everything has gone well with the doctors i haven’t seen before so far, so i think things will continue to go well.

not sure why i’m posting this lol i’m just trying to put into perspective how much i’ve actually done for my overall health recently, and honestly it’s a lot

Since few weeks im just looking up comparision sites quoting 1.0 engine first cars such as corsa, pug 206, punto, clio, polo etc ( not all of them are 1.0 but from what ive heard it doesnt make that much difference). My dad was in the USMC back during the Vietnam War and is now on 100% disability. I was approved for the Dependents' Education through the GI Bill and now I'm wondering if I can get low-cost health insurance through the military as well.
