tim and bernard who break up and it's nothing big, no one cheated or anything. it's just their lifestyles didn't work out well together. tim cannot give up vigilantism currently and bear cannot handle the level of danger tim puts himself in. and on the other hand, tim cannot handle the fact that bear chooses to run into danger as an emt bc he already worries about everything but now he has to worry if he'll find his boyfriend convulsing from fear gas in a random alley but also bear who felt the life drain out of darla cannot stand the thought of not helping people and runs headfirst into dangerous situation after dangerous situation hoping that every person he saves can somehow make up for the fact that he could not save darla.

(he very pointedly does not think about the fact that there was nothing he could do because if he thinks about that, he'll spiral until they have to lock him in arkham too)

and so they break up but they were tim & bernard in high school and when they started dating they balanced out the worst of each other and they became tim&bernard. and everyone who knows them, knows that they're better together but they cant be together, they refuse actually because they cannot lose another person to the violence of gotham and by the time they figure out that they cant work together as long as the other is an emt or vigilante, it's too late for both them. they've already left too many pieces of themselves in each other.

tim still knows what bear means when he says "tim" in that exasperated voice. tim still goes boneless when he hears bear say "baby" in that firm tone. bear can still read tim like a book. he still knows the right way to massage tim's neck so that tim can go to sleep. everyone at the first responders gala knows not to bother ceo drake-wayne and senior emt dowd when they're talking.

(and if they're standing a little too close to each other than what is normal, who are they to judge? everyone knows that dowd and drake-wayne have history)

and if everyone on the night shift has caught red robin with his head tucked into the crook of emt dowd's neck as emt dowd runs a soothing hand up and down the vigilante's back, well then, they just quietly back away.

(after all, dowd's one of like, five, emts that can get the bats to receive medical treatment so if turning a blind eye to whatever the fuck they have going on is what allows them to give back to their heroes, then the night shift will do it every time)

and of course, tim and bear are practical people. they loved (love) each other sure, but when your lives are fundamentally incompatible, well, you cant get too stuck on the what-ifs, that's for sure. and so they do find love with other people and yeah, maybe it's not what they expected love to be when they first fell in love with each other. it's not the bubbly, stomach-swoopy, cant stop grinning, feeling that permeated tim&bernard's early days or the i Know you/you Know me that was their middle or the quiet despair that was their end but it is contentment. and in a life with as many losses as theirs, contentment is something they hold dearly

and they're happy! truly! but sometimes, at galas when they're making each other snort champagne out their noses or in darkened alleyways when their clothes are both stained with blood or at rallies for stricter gun regulations in gotham where they both sit too close to each other, fingers enclosed around each other in a death grip, when the presenters inevitably bring up grieves

(worst school shooting in gotham in decades, there's blood on their hands and blood in their mouths and darla is dead in between both of them and there is a chasm so wide that they are screaming to get their voices across and she will always be dead and maybe this had always been the problem that she is dead and there is no coming back from that and that there is blood on their hands and blood in their mouth and blood on their han-)

but sometimes, most especially on opposite sides of the street, as life pulls them in different directions, just sometimes, they see each other and just for a second, nothing too long, the flap of a hummingbird's wings, the time it takes to blink, an electron's orbital, they look at each other and for the briefest moment, blue on brown, a barely noticeable stutter in their steps, the space between heartbeats, because this is all they will give themselves because they do not dwell on what-ifs or what-could-have-beens, or what-should-have-beens, or delusions of a softer world, their eyes meet and they think to themselves, god, in another life, i would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with him.

Ranking AoS ships (canon & non-canon) bc I can:

FitzSimmons. If you don't have this as your top, I DON'T TRUST YOU. They are the blueprint, the very epitome of romance. If someone doesn't dive through a space rock to reach me on another planet, I don't want them

Dousy. Ik some people much prefer Sousa and Peggy, and they have a great relationship, but I don't know, I just like Dousy more. Maybe bc I want Daisy to be in a healthy relationship for once? But for only appearing in around half the episodes of s7, they don't feel rushed, and Chloe and Enver have great chemistry. They're so sweet together, I can't say much else other than I love them

Skimmons. Okay okay ik what a lot of people are gonna say, but I just think they're wonderful together. I've drifted a bit from shipping this, I do see the sisters aspect of them (I don't see them as sisters and romantically at the same time, that is WEIRD), but I still have a small soft spot for it. I think it's mostly Chloe and Elizabeth's love for the ship that sells it

Philinda. Tbh this and Skimmons could be switched, they're very close in my brain. While I don't necessarily feel too bad about them splitting up in s7, I like both the platonic and romantic versions of them, I think they were really great. They so obviously love each other, and what more can I say to that?

Huntingbird. 100% compatible 50% of the time, as Hunter puts it. I don't believe this to be the healthiest of AoS relationships, but not everything has to be perfect all the time. One moment they could be making jabs at one another, the next they're making out. Who knows? Their moments are a fun time either way

MackElena. I think what this ship needs is more time. Compared to the other relationships, MackElena doesn't get to share the screen all that much. I do love how they learn from one another, and they've always given me a kind of comforting type of vibe. They're just cute together

Simmorse. This feels like a relatively newer ship in the fandom, and I am all for it. I don't ship it massively, but I 100% see the potential, I think it's very easy to see that Jemma was crushing on Bobbi a couple times

QuakeRider. Just like Simmorse, I do see it, but I've never really been a big fan of it. Not that there's anything wrong with it, it has great vibes, I love the rogue x rogue type ship, I just don't ship it that much. I personally see them closer to older brother, younger sister type of dynamic. But I do see the potential

Staticquake. HEAR ME OUT OKAY? I used to like Staticquake a lot, but on my rewatches I see myself getting farther and farther away from it. It's not that they don't have good chemistry or that I don't think they're really in love, oh no, they have all of it, it's just not the best relationship for Daisy. There are more than a few moments where they're arguing, majority of the time Lincoln being in the wrong, and later Daisy apologizing for it? It always struck me as odd. I also feel like resolved too many issues behind the scenes, relying on exposition to make the audience believe they had gone further in their relationship

DekeDaisy. Idk if they have an actual ship name, so I'm going with this one for now. It's just wayyy too one-sided and doesn't seem like it would work anyway. Daisy was not in the right frame of mind for a relationship, and she seemed relatively blind to Deke's advances. Also considering that Deke sold her to the Kree earlier... yeah, it was never gonna work

Skyeward. It might get up one spot for the Framework version of them, but as it stands, the real life version of them is AWFUL. Ward lied to Skye on almost everything, hurt her, hurt her loved ones, kidnapped her, became obsessed with her, and countless other things I can't remember rn. They're so toxic and if you ship them (not Framework or pre-betrayal), I have genuine concern in your love life

Under a cut for length

Relationship between Corey and the Rangers/Mortum/HG:

Ortega

Corey and Ortega were as together as sidestep was willing to get pre heartbreak incident, which was complicated. Ortega never pushed for more out of respect for their boundaries and worry about scaring them away (they were head over heels in love with each other. But sure, best friends that kiss it is). When they reunite, Corey is initially hesitant to open up out of concern their old feelings will come back and they wont be able to focus on their goal as heartbreak (correct). The romantic tension comes back with a vengeance, and Corey and Ortega get together again. If you look up "ride or die" in the dictionary, there's a photo of these two. A relationship they both agree is worth sacrificing their morals for. EXTREMELY codependent. Corey very quickly loses steam on their turn-villain-get-angry plans once they reconnect with Ortega. Now they really just want to be Sidestep again. They feel very vindicated that Ortega cares about them/ believes in their cause enough to be willing to "switch sides" and break them out post crash.

Chen

Corey has always been anxious around Chen bc of how obvious his suspicion was. Historically very very worried about being found out due to Chen digging for information (still not convinced that isn't how the special directive found Sidestep in the first place). Realizes during retribution that he was only trying to protect Ortega and is starting to warm up to him/be friendly (which Chen ruins very quickly by admitting that he knew the whole time and did nothing). Lot's of camaraderie around the shared experience of soldier/people shaped weapon with chronic pain and trauma that loves dogs. They'd be best friends if they could stop antagonizing each other. Both at least acknowledge the potential friendship there, even if neither are willing or able to pursue it by the end of Retribution.

Argent

Corey really likes argent, but the feeling is NOT reciprocated. She thinks they're selfish and a coward. They piss her off in pretty much every interaction they have during Rebirth and Retribution. Once she finds out Corey is the one that possessed her, her irritation with them turns to hate. This relationship is probably not salvageable. (Romanced her once, had to change almost everything about Corey's personality and fighting style to get her to like them lol) Respects her even more after she scars their face post-reveal. Thinks she had every right to hurt them and admires the restraint it took to not blind them. Reminds Corey of themself. 

Herald

Corey Does Not like Herald at first. Only when he reveals that he genuinely enjoys their company and isn't just being a Sidestep fanboy do they change their mind. Goes from being nice out of pity/guilt to actually caring about/ wanting to protect him over the course of their training sessions. Being around Herald's unrestrained positivity has an effect on Corey's mental state similar to how they feel around dogs. Mr sunshine is contagious. Corey's starting to realize that's a front and that they should keep an eye on him. They're worried about his mental health (immense guilt over being the reason he's hurt). Bursts into tears mid apology when Herald comes to confront guiltystep in the hospital. Reminds Corey of Anathema.

Mortum

Corey and Dr Mortum get on like a housefire. They briefly flirted as the puppet before things got serious with Ortega, then broke it off to just be friends (If I weren't such a sucker for the decade long slow burn friends to lovers, Mortum would beat Ortega for favorite romance). They have admitted to being a re-gene to Dr Mortum and desperately want to make the friendship work (that Mortum didn't immediately kill them or turn them in has Corey smitten. The bar is on the floor). Using mirror image puppet for Ortega romance purposes in canon route, but the coming out scene with Mortum and a questioning step happens regardless of the puppet gender in my head. Corey really needs to vent about their dysphoria to somebody. The amount of trust Corey needed to out themselves as a re-gene to a "well connected scientist" like Dr Mortum is crazy. Especially with how horrible their medical trauma/anxiety is. Hopefully Mortum knows how big of a deal that was and they can reunite soon. 

Hollow Ground

Corey and HG have a very tense but amicable professional relationship. Undecided on the canon route here, but either 1. They saw and resisted HGs threads without getting caught, and intend to use that to manipulate HG in the long run. Or 2. They were their usual defiant little shit self and refused to shake hands, and know nothing about the threads. Trying to figure out the various ways to keep the subtle manipulation stat high enough to see the threads without losing other story moments I like for them. As much as Corey would like to stay detached and hate HG for how many people he's hurt, they secretly love Ortega's theory and hope that its true. They want a loving protective big brother so bad. Intends to hide the re-gene thing from him as long as possible to avoid losing the potential business (and sibling) relationship. Side note: Not my canon route, but I have played through with Hollow Ground as Corey's villain name bc I think it'd be hilarious. Naming yourself after the fake villain your ex is obsessed with only to find out they're real and also you're related is a beautiful comedy of errors waiting to happen.

Regarding Chen's suspicion:

Corey and Chen's relationship had improved dramatically over the course of Revelations, which made the fallout from this even worse. Corey was just starting to think of Chen as a friend rather than a reluctant acquaintance. When he tells them about the photos and that he chose not to investigate further despite knowing what had happened to them, it breaks their heart. Instead of reacting as they usually do (getting angry and lashing out the way Chen expects them to), they just start crying (trauma has NOT made them stronger, they cry a lot easier now and they hate it). Poor Chen was braced for an argument and thinks somehow getting screamed at would've hurt less than seeing them look this defeated. Corey feels betrayed and abandoned, and really wants to hate Chen for not coming to rescue them. After some time to think about it, they realize that also means that even though Chen KNEW they were a re-gene he decided to be friendly toward them anyway. Their friendship will take a long time to rebuild, but its not permanently gone.

He also told me yesterday that he wanted me to make ultimatums too. I hate the idea bc I know he would not care. He does whatever he wants anyway. So I said to him that he doesn't care if he loses me. To which he responded that that doesn't make any sense and that must be what I'm thinking because I have my family to help me. He said his family was a dying family and they don't care.

I do care if I lose him though. He's broken up with and kicked me out so many times now that it feels inevitable... I cannot believe how jealous he is of my relationship with my family though. We are basically dirt poor. As a unit we always had to depend on each other. We had a lot of struggles of course. His family had a lot of struggles to but in different ways. They're all kind of horrible to their mom, who was trying to show them that they could leave a relationship that didn't help the children. She worked really hard to basically support them on her own. To this day she supports them in one way or another but she must be "tyrannical" with her "guilt trips." They're a bunch of big babies. I had literal abusive situations growing up and though my mom kind of turned a blind eye to it, I forgave her. I understood she did everything she could just to keep a roof over our heads. My dad wasn't even in the picture. They have both their parents. They experienced grandparents on both sides. Whatever the difference is, it doesn't matter because for some reason he has deemed my family ungrateful. He dislikes them so much but yet he's jealous of how we generally get along.

Meanwhile, going back to the guilt trips, yesterday felt like a series of guilt trips from him. Except when I said I felt like he was accusing me of something he was like that he was. So I guess because his accusation of me not cooking enough was "true" then it doesn't count as a guilt trip. As I was hiding in the room, he kept trying to be nice and asking if I'd forgive him. But I was already in the downward spiral. Then later his accusation of me not being affectionate enough even though I felt insulted by him all day...

The other problem is that downward spiral. When he brought up his need for food, it was a lecture. I couldn't believe he didn't consider the fact that I had to be with my family those two days. In the end I told him I had to be there for my family and he said then I made the right choice... but he knew before the lecturing that I made that choice and why. But anyway, when the lecturing was happening, I shut down. All I could think was that I was a failure to him. Then when he was threatening/planning on quitting his job, all I could feel was that no matter what, after all of these incidents with him, I WAS a failure. No matter how many times I got it right. I was always going to be a failure to him. He always asks me for more.

He said I didn't have to make anything fancy. I don't think anything I made was all that fancy. Most of it is that I have to use raw ingredients for the most part. So it's a lot of prepping! I have to make my own bread bc he refuses to buy bread. He always complains about tortillas so I occasionally make some from scratch as well. It's not that I don't enjoy it but it takes a lot of work. On top of that I have the obligations to my family which he has also told me is my obligation as if I didn't know already.

If only there were an advice columnist that could help me. I could probably sign it "stretched too thin." Whatever... I guess it doesn't help when people see me not doing anything. Like at his request (and beci she's nice) I'll sit with his mom as much as I can. But I'll hide as long as possible if his other family and friends are here. I'm just super awkward with people. And after these years together there hasn't been much progress with me and his family, aside from his mom really.

I know we love each other but half the time I don't think he likes me. He's always threatening to leave and go away. It's not always implied to be my fault. Still it hurts a lot. He's not stable. He's not truly understanding. This is why I said he's not afraid of losing me...

o b v i the inception for it was All You talking about myriad activities involving fingers, as one does, but my first instinct is always to take it to a place of webgott because they effectively live inside of me like my head is an apple and they're a worm slowly eating me alive. but the idea was also Very much suited to The AU, and I hadn't written any baberoe since down comes the night, so I took the plunge so to speak.

the thing about writing them in down comes the night is it was still sort of challenging, even though they're barely in it, because I find people either travel blind when it comes to baberoe or they show up with Many expectations, and I'm not really very good at writing to what people necessarily expect because I'm an insufferable contrarian at heart. so what I love the most about The AU is getting to come to a ship that (though I don't Know them as well as I know webgott) I think I'm pretty familiar with, but get to see them as somewhat removed from the expectations I was holding myself to writing them in another fic. that isn't to say it was Easy bc it was not, partially because it was a prompt from a friend, but also because their dynamic was incredibly new so I literally did some stretches (i.e. notes/exercises) and limbered up enough to try and get my hands on them, which was helped along by...

Sometimes when they’re together it’s like his head takes his heart by both shoulders and shakes his entire spirit back and forth yelling: you’re going too fast, you’re going too fucking fast. It can be a helpful brace, that little bit of bone-rattling doubt. Not of Babe. Never. Fucking again, he’s going too fast. the fact that Gene had a really accessible energy to me. dropping into him in a sense I got a lot of tension, but not any sort of rigidity, which created a really interesting tightrope of emotion that he moved across. because I hadn't worked with them really I could have chosen either of them, but I was drawn to the idea that both Babe and Gene are already fully immersed in not just the idea of each other but in realizing the sort of capital r Relationship they want with each other, and yet I got the sense that Gene was more push and pull about it solely because up until this point he hadn't had that kind of attraction to someone before. I see him in many combinations of humans but none really containing much substance, so to then be in a position where he's having Real feelings of connection, partnership, affection etc. it is understandably a little foreign to him. so there's that constant Yes No Yes No with him, because he's head over ass but he's flexing a completely new muscle for himself that he kind of needed Babe to bring out to begin with.

(a mentioned but unexplored tension at play is also the tension of Ari energy and Taylor energy, as they are both intensely powerful but they each trade and pass between each other in their themes, especially at the time the fic takes place, and I think that element adds to a specific rhythm.)

which obviously isn't to say there's any less happening internally with Babe, because he's having a battle of his own on the inside, but the sort of slow reveal of how they work and the story of the night I thought had a little more vicarious pleasure when taken in on the side of a guy who really would have just been happy to have a cocktail and spoon that night.

“Just surprised. Surprised at both of us.” Babe looked back to him with a gentle furrow in his brow. “Why surprised?” “I don’t think anyone has ever said that to me before,” Gene admitted, searching down through his own life, sex dotted all through it like stars in the sky, fucking legion, and tries to think of anything that can match what he and Babe have had in their beginning. “Never had to.” Mouth bunching at one corner, Babe took the words in with a slow nod. “I don’t think anyone has ever let me say it before, so.” It makes him pull Babe in close, leaning down so he can wrap his arms over his shoulders and kiss into the red shine of his hair in the dim kitchen light. “At least we’re in this together, huh?”

at least in my mind Babe entered into the night Knowing what he wanted to ask for, so everything on his side is leading up to the conversation they ultimately have. and on the surface obviously it's Just a conversation about phalanges but Because they've been taking things incredibly slow it's a statement for him to turn around and say he's going to take it there. which is a favorite trope of mine, I admit, when a truth gets brazenly spoken after being denied/rejected for so long, so obvi I had to shoehorn it here a little bit. because, again, Babe hasn't had a Relationship of this manner before, and has had a past where he was pretty disrespected and not really seen as being a Whole Person (as opposed to a Hole Person lol). so now being in a position with Gene where he's being recognized as a human with singular wants and needs and he's actually experiencing being Heard, it allows him the mobility to control the speed of their intimacy in a way. though it is mutual, I think Gene gives a lot of the power over to Babe at least in this way because not only are they still learning each other but he sees something in Babe's strength and his openness that is sort of humbling to him. so it made the most sense to me that not only should it be Gene's pov but Babe should be the one to ask.

After five years, Y/N and Luke had seen almost all of the bad times. You had been there from the very start. she held his hand while they all counted the seconds until the first album dropped. She stood by his side through scandals, and hate from fans and media alike. She was his rock, and he was hers.

The past month had been the most stressful of his career, and that really is saying something. Y/N tried her hardest to be there for him. The spread of the Coronavirus had everybody on edge, Y/N included. Luke, on the other hand, spent many hours of the day going over the effects the outbreak and impending quarantine could have on his career. Namely, the release of their newest album.

They had both hit the end of their ropes. Y/N would get defensive over the slightest comment, and Luke would lash out randomly. The stress spent more time building for the two of them than it did easing.

Arguments almost every day for two weeks, hours spent up at night sitting in a tense silence while trying to figure out the cause of their issues.

In five years, Y/N had never shouted at her love so much. In five years, Luke had never avoided his girl so much.

They hit rock bottom when a small question escalated into an argument.

"Honey? You okay?" She asked after she walked in on Luke launching his phone onto their shared bed.

"I'm fine." He barely looked at her, snapping the words out of pure frustration at the world.

At this point, it was hard for Luke to see anything other than anger. He was simply so aggravated with everything that he could barely even acknowledge who he directed his anger towards.

Unfortunately, Y/N was quickly growing to be the same way.

"Rather than being an ass about it, you could just talk to me, you know?" She snipped, rolling her eyes at the tall man.

From there, it escalated dramatically. Insults were thrown, screams were released, and finally, Y/N told him to leave.

"If you would stop being an uptight bitch for one second, you would realize that I don't need your goddamn help, Y/N!"

Her mouth dropped at the words, and his jaw mirrored the action. It was the last straw. They had both thrown many insults at one another over the years, but the malice in his voice told her that he meant every word.

"Get the hell out." She turned away from him, intending to leave the room. "I'm not dealing with your self-centered bullshit anymore, Luke."

"I'm not leaving my own house," He scoffed, and a sarcastic laugh escaped from his throat.

She turned back to him, eyes full of unshed tears and an anger he had never before seen plastered on her face.

"Fine. You wanna stay? Then stay." her hands found her suitcase - the same one Luke had bought her for the bands 'Sounds Live, Feels Live" tour - and began piling clothes inside. She didn't pay attention to what was thrown in, but as soon as it was full, and she had kissed Petunia on the head, she left.

She found herself on Crystal's doorstep, tears falling from her eyes, sobs wracking her form.

She was ordered to stay at the Clifford household until she was ready to go back home. Back to him.

A week had passed and nothing. She tried to call him after five days and the call went straight to his voicemail.

Despite the presence of one of her best friends, and the overly cheerful Michael Clifford, she couldn't shake how lonely she was without the presence of the man she loved.

She made the decision to leave the house. She wanted some space.

She expected a call or something after a few days. She expected him to answer the phone when she called, even if it ended in a screaming match. She wanted at least something to remind her that she was still his.

A few days later, and they were required to enter quarantine. Crystal, in all her overbearing instincts, ordered her to occupy their spare bedroom until she could go back to her own house.

Which meant more time away from Luke.

14 days had passed and he had ignored every one of her calls, her messages. She had even tried to send him a message on Instagram in hopes that she would get a reply. She simply got left on open.

After five years, he had made it clear that he was done with her, and she was truly heart broken.

Her emotions got the best of her and she had found herself toying with the piano that Michael had in his practice room.

She was flooded with memories of countless secret lessons spent with Ashton in hopes of learning one of their songs for Luke. Y/N knew how much music meant to Luke, and she thought it would be a good way to pull some emotion from him during the tough time, but unfortunately, she never got so far.

For the first time in their relationship, Luke had counted down the seconds until release alone. He should have been happy but all he could feel was guilt flow through his body with every beat of his heart.

It killed him to think of his girl sitting all alone, counting the minutes down as they had for the previous three albums.

It hurt him to keep a smile on his face through the Instagram lives, and talk about how he wrote some of the lyrics to 'Lover of Mine' with the woman.

What really struck a chord in him, was the video she had posted the day after the release.

The picture was black and white, similar to the one he uploaded of his 'Best Years' performance.

Y/N was positioned at a piano, as she skillfully played the intro to an Alessia Cara song she loved, but he couldn't remember the name.

He had heard her sing before, but never to this extent. She looked at home with the keys in front of her.

Okay, from BNHA I think I would be most compatible with either shinsou or kirishima as a bf. Shinsou mainly because he seems like the chill kind and as I'm ambivert that tends to lean on the introvert side. I can see us vibing on the couch, making meals together, and overall just be the stay-at-home kind of couple. When I'm feeling more extroverted, he might be p annoyed but will eventually warm up to the idea of hanging out with other BNHA characters (esp if it involves midoriya or kaminari imo)

Kirishima and I would get along because he plays more to my extrovert side. He would discourage me from isolating myself (which I tend to do when I'm stressed out) and just overall brighten my day. I could see us going on more outdoorsy dates like hiking, exploring the city, or just having a picnic; anything outside really. He's also super cheerful and I think he would be a good reminder that things always get better even when they look bleak. I also think he would be very attentive to my emotions as I feel very deeply and feed off of the emotions that others around me feel, and I think he's the same way so he knows what to do if I'm feeling too sad or angry about something (not that shinsou wouldn't either, I just think kiri is better at this, esp when interacting with baku a lot)

I would probably be friends with iida and todoroki. Iida mainly because we could geek out over a lot of different things and we'd probably have similar interests academically. We are also both blind and need glasses in order to function sksksks. Todoroki probably because I can see him being comfy with silence (and also sharing music? But idk why I think that). He also seems like the person I would initially gravitate towards because he seems like the responsible type and doesn't judge others too harshly by their actions (not saying that other BNHA characters do this, I'm purely talking about a first impressions situation).

People I wouldn't get along with that well? Probably baku bc I would take all of his criticisms too seriously 😢 though if he and I interact enough MAYBE I would consider him an acquaintance but that's as far as it goes for me. He has a very brash personality that I just wouldn't take very well if I'm being honest.

Moving on to Haikyuu, I admitedly don't know everyone too well because I recently got into this series, but I honestly think that Kuroo or Sugawara would be the men for me. Kuroo because he's a nerd and we just have a similar work ethic and I can see us supporting one another. Despite busy schedules, we never forget to text each other or make time when it's important. (Also, him being the flirtatious bastard that he is, he would CONSTANTLY make chem pick-up lines even if we've known each other for 10+ years and I will always get flustered)

With Sugawara, we would just be sort of a mix of Shinsou and Kirishima, we would be hanging out at home most of the time, but also go out and mingle with friends when the feeling strikes us. He's probably an ambivert like me lmao but he's probably more extroverted. He's also super responsible and is literally going to support me emotionally 100% of the time and will always give sound advice. (and I will literally vow to do the same. 🥺)

I'd probably be friends (to varying degrees) with everyone except for Oikawa. Although I think he's attractive and we might be able to get along if we knew each other better, I think on a purely first impression basis, we would NOT click. He seems too much of a player and obviously exudes a fake personality, but again, knowing his arc a little bit would probably help us get to know each other more and eventually become friends...but not much more than that.
