as you walked out of the practice room you felt your walls start to come crashing down. you know you didn’t do horribly at practice however your leader and choreographer just seemed to have it out for you. even your friend in your group pulled you aside asking if you were okay after a particularly harsh scolding. 

taking a deep breath you started walking toward the small kitchen area, you had a couple corners to turn so you let yourself cry. that quickly turned into quiet sobs to the point where you had to lean against the black wall. silence encapsulating you as you cried. holding onto your jacket- onto yourself. you let your walls break down fully, you let it out.

feeling yourself cry more, you decided now was a horrible time to question your big life decisions. trying to clean yourself up you walked up to the door to put your face ID in.

what? you pulled up your phone and saw you really looked like a mess, mascara running, eyes partially black from the eyeliner running in your eyes. you quickly tried to rub it off and use the face ID again

oh my god now you were locked in the hallway. tears quickly pricked your eyes again and you slide down the wall, head in your hands. tears escaping rapidly. your hoodie swallowing you and at this point you’d welcome it. 

you didn’t even hear someone walk into the hallway, let alone kneel in front of you. 

“hey are you okay?” 

you wiped your eyes and moved your hood out of your eyes, you recognized him. jay park of enhypen. i mean who didn’t know enhypen in this branch?? 

“no not really to be honest.” you chuckled a bit and looked away, you weren’t really one to lie about how you were feeling. hiding it from your members was one thing, but if they ever actually cared to ask you would tell them. 

“here.” jay stood up at put his hand out. your eyes looked up at him, red and blotchy. 

“oh my hands have snot on them that’s kinda gross.” you got up yourself and even he let out a laugh. 

“you’re y/n right?? from that group that debuted a couple months ago?” he walked over to the face ID key and opened the door, you followed him. 

“yeah, jay right?” you asked adjusting your bag nervously. it was a little scary talking to someone who had way more recognition in your field of work. 

jay adjusted his glasses, “guilty. don’t mind those face ID things, you know you can use your badge too right?” 

your face heated up with embarrassment, “i totally forgot about that…” 

“don’t worry about it, riki did the same thing and started yelling in the middle of the hallway.” jay chuckled and looked down at you, “rough day?” 

“yeah, really rough. i was just gonna go to the small kitchen and then hopefully when i got back to my dorm everyone would be asleep.” you mumbled and looked ahead of you. 

“that rough?” 

you hummed, trying not to cry again. 

“let’s go to the canteen then. they have those little meals that are like grab and go. we can kill time there too.” 

you looked up at him, “we?” 

“well you feel shitty, it would be really messed up of me to just leave you here.” he said and pressed the elevator button. the doors opened and you both stepped in. 

“don’t you have a comeback to prepare for?” you felt a little guilty. 

“y/n, i finished all my work for the day. i can afford to get a little snack at the end of the day.” jay was sort of blunt but you didn’t mind it much. you simply nodded. 

“tell me about what happened today.” he said suddenly

“wait so your own leader scolded you in front of everyone the SECOND your sneaker got untied by accident?” 

you and jay had been sitting at the tables facing the window for an hour now as you unloaded everything about the problems within the group the company stuck you with. 

“yup! and my one friend in the group was the only one who checked in on me! and there’s like 9 of us!” you took a bite of fruit that jay actually paid for. 

“that’s so shitty.” jay said and looked out the window, at this point it was dark. the city lights and car lights prominent. 

“you’re telling me.” you spoke softly and watched the city with him, “thank you by the way…” 

“hmm?” he turned toward you now. you looked back at him and smiled. 

“for just hanging out with me, since i’ve moved and got this job it’s been a little hard to make friends.” 

jay nodded and took a bite of his sandwich, “i understand that.” 

the both of you sat in silence until your one friend in the group called you. they asked how you were and where you were. you were honest with them, then they told you everyone went out to dinner so if you wanted to come home it’d be less awkward going straight to your bunk and shutting your makeshift curtains. you agreed. 

“i should head back to my dorm. i got a message that no one but my friend is home so i can sneak in without it being weird.” you laughed and stood up, picking up your trash. jay followed you. 

“would you want to do this again?” he asked as you both walked to the elevator, “if you don’t want to that’s totally okay i don’t want to push or-“ 

“i’d love to, honestly.” you readjusted and stretched in the elevator. a yawn escaping you, “having another friend would help a lot.” 

jay smiled at you, “perfect then.” 

that’s how you started hanging out with jay at least once a week, sometimes you guys would people watch if it was earlier in the day. you guys would fake conversations between people you didn’t even know. but most times it was after everyone went home from the canteen. you guys would watch the planes in the night sky, the lights, cars, eachother's facial expressions without the other knowing.

one night you were shoving the food around on the paper plate and jay knew something was wrong.

“what’s up with you, you’re acting weird.” he poked your shoulder, playfully of course.

“i don’t know… i’m just kinda lost in thought.” you mumbled and looked up at the city lights, it was later than usual, “i’m honestly debating on just switching to another company or just going into another department all together.”

jay looked at you, his eyes wide. out of the few months he’s known you, he knows you push through. you weren’t a quitter, so what happened?

“i’m just tired and struggling.” you mumbled again, trying not to cry, if you let one fall you would be crying as hard as you were when you first met him.

“practice with us then.” jay said suddenly, he was PANICKING. he didn’t want you to leave the company let alone have a different job in the company that could jeopardize his time with you.

you looked at him, “what?” it was out of nowhere.

“practice with me and my friends, it’ll be less stressful for you and you can learn from us. then your moron, no offense, moron leader can’t get on you too harshly. i think it’s a good idea, not to toot my own horn.” jay didn’t want to disrespect people in your group, however, they didn’t respect you. so why should he respect them?

“are you sure your members would be okay with it?” you were kind of shy about this.

“yes.” he said, reassuring you, "if anything it would be good practice for them aswell."

jay was right when he said it was a good idea to practice with them. you were finally learning in a non-toxic environment, and it helped a lot. your leader barely got on you anymore and you also helped your friend with what you learned. you never told any of them, but your friend, that you were practicing with enhypen. it was less stressful, and you were back to laughing with jay till late in the canteen again. you didn’t know when it started but you were catching feelings and quick, which was dangerous, and you knew it was. even your friend pointed it out one night before bed.

“y/n?” they asked, they had the bunk above you.

“yeah?”

“when you go practice with your secret teachers,” they let out a small laugh, “where do you go afterwards?”

“i eat at the canteen with jay, he always wants to make sure im not skipping meals.” you were honest with your friend.

“is he why you’re giggling during our practices?”

your friend knew you well, more than anyone else in your group.

“ummmmm maybe.” you flipped over in your bunk, biting back a smile. it was just a crush, harmless.

your friend laughed loudly, everyone was out running errands or watching tv, so you cherished moments you got alone with them.

“i could so see you guys together, when we’re filming a new episode and he walks by in the hallway you always smile.” they teased you.

“OHMYGOD SHUT UP!” you kicked the bunk and they started laughing again.

“i’m being SO serious.” they said between laughs.

awards show day came up quickly and you were nervous. your leader was harsh again, no rest until the night before. you were exhausted and had no time anymore to meet jay in the canteen. he said he understood but it still made you feel bad.

after your last practice before the big night you walked down the hallway, tonight you were just going to get a drink from the little kitchen area. you knelt down by the mini fridge and contemplated your drink. strawberry, banana, kiwi, lychee, hmmm.

“no dinner?”

“holy shit!” you fell back on someone’s legs and looked up ay him, your back hitting his feet.

jay started laughing as you scrambled up, you shoved him a few laughs escaping you too.

“you literally scared me so bad! arent you supposed to be home by now? your practice ended like 3 hours ago!” you knelt down again and grabbed the kiwi drink.

“i did go home, then i came back.” he said extremely nonchalantly, you looked up at him and popped open your drink.

“why?” you took a sip.

“well, i checked the canteen before i left and they closed it for cleaning, so i went home and cooked you dinner instead.” he dug through his bag and pulled out a container, “it should taste good, jake was being stupid and wanted to be a taste tester.”

your heart swelled, “i- thank you, wow.” you smiled down at the container that was now in your hands, it was blue with little sharks on it. it was a kids container which made you giggle a bit.

“you can keep the container, i bought it on the way back to my dorm before i cooked.” jay said and scratched the back of his neck, he seemed nervous.

you wanted to tease him a bit, “if i give it back to you, does that mean i can get more homecooked meals?” your eyes met with his, you swore you saw a little spark in them.

“yes! i mean- yeah, yeah of course.” he smiled down at you.

your groups’ performance at the show went by smoothly, a lot of staff congratulated you guys and it made you proud. however, you were running on barely anything so right when you thanked the staff you had to lean against the wall and take a breather. if you didn’t have anything to lean on you surely would’ve passed out.

“here.” your friend came up to you with a few snacks, “i snuck them past you know who.” they smiled mischievously. you thanked them immensely.

you two sat criss cross backstage snacking, laughing, talking about your performance and how you felt like you made it.

you made it thanks to jay.

“um i think someone wants to talk to you…” your friend whispered and eyed behind you, you turned around and saw jay looking at you then looking away. then you’re sure you saw jungwon teasing him.

how cute.

you got up and walked towards them, the rest of enhypen practically shoving jay towards you. it was so weird for both of you to be so dolled up around eachother. it was a total 180 from the usual gym clothes or comfortable clothing.

“you guys did great.” jay spoke up suddenly.

“oh! thank you! me and my friend are really looking forward to watching your performance on the tv while snacking.” you let out a small laugh.

“do you maybe want to grab dinner with me tonight if you aren’t too tired?” he asked.

“like a date.” ”like a date?”

you both said at the same time, both your eyes widened.

“yes!” “yeah!”

“oh my god.” you laughed and covered your face, jay let out a laugh.

“i’ll meet you in the parking lot after the show, it’ll be late so maybe we can just grab a snack from a convenience store and then take a walk?”

you looked up at him, “then you promise to take me to an actual dinner?” smiling at him.

jay smiled down at you, “yeah.” he bit back his smile and looked away, “i promise.”

TL;DR: 

Iida, Uraraka, Bakugo, Kirishima and Midoriya taken away by quirk traffickers, convinced they are a family of specialized quirk users. Turns out, the truth is a little bit more complicated than that: they're fairies. With Midoriya the only one able to get free is up to him to find help. Who better than the hero All Might, a man so famous among the giants that even the fae know of him?

The Folk are born with weak but variable magic, able to learn almost any class of spell but without any great talent in any area. Sometime between the ages of 4 and 15 (they age at the same rate as humans but live a touch longer) their magic specializes into an area they have a calling for. The strength of this specialization is varied, with some Folk being totally unable to use magic outside their niche and others with only a reduced aptitude for anything unrelated to their field. There has never been a case of one of the Folk not specialising.

Kirishima: Gem Creation and Rock Manipulation - gem creation is just an aspect as he can alter the way the molecular bonds in rocks are formed

Bakugo: Fire - with a particular aptitude for explosions

Iida: Wind – his control isn’t particularly powerful but hes very good at using currents of wind to propel himself to incredibly impressive speeds

Uraraka: Flight - very rare aptitude. Not only can she give wing’s their enchantments, she can make other things float. Very useful for moving heavy things.

Izuku: Nothing.

Culture (brief):

They hide from the ‘Giants’ - humans - and see them as dangerous and strange, particularly as they terraform massive areas, stripping them of their natural magic.

Settlements are found in forests, abandoned places and parks, hidden from sight with a mix of magic and clever design. Children shouldn’t leave the safety of the settlement without an adult at any time.

Wings are not actually something they are born with - instead, they are fashioned from other things and bound to their magic. If they run out - spend too long away from a source of magic + burn through their own ability to create it - they fall away and that member of the Folk can no longer fly, at least until they find more magic. It’s traditional to use leaves for a baby’s first set of wings. Wing makers are valued and rare with skillfully made sets of wings being traded from settlement to settlement in exchange for other goods. They can be made from anything really, and are mostly made from a mix of natural materials and things scavenged from Giants.

Our Folk:

Uraraka is a fledgling wing maker - too young to have an actual shop, she makes wings for her friends. She’s very good at what she does: most wings are form over function but she takes care to make sure they are just as practical as they are pretty. Iida’s are made of spider’s silk - light and strong, good for reaching high speeds. Kirishima’s have beetle wing cases to protect them from dislodged rocks. Bakugo’s are fire-resistant, Midoriya’s are balanced so they’ll be practical no matter his specialization.

Kirishima wants to help people! He uses his magic to build houses and walls and often visits other settlements to help with their protections.

Iida wants to be a guard like his older brother - guards protect the settlement from animals that might want to eat them, natural disasters and help hide them from Giants. As the five of them are currently the only children in the settlement, hes assigned himself big brother.

Bakugo has 0 idea what he wants to be, but he’s skilled in just about everything he tries so it’s not a big issue for him.

Midoriya wants to research giants and magic and try and discover all it’s forms. Folk can only specialize in types of magic they know about, so he wants to know everything that can be done to help other Folk struggling like himself. Despite the fact he doesn’t have a specialization yet, his magic isn’t half bad and the number of forms he knows is staggering. He mightn’t be particularly good at anything, but he can do everything. He’s also a big fan of heroes, even if his knowledge of them is limited to torn scraps of newspaper and thrown-away toys.

Inko passed away when Izuku was 10 (he’s now 13) and he’s lived with the Bakugos ever since. Izuku and Katsuki have a pretty brotherly relationship and give eachother shit all the time.

Plot:

kids get kidnapped by quirk traffickers who think they are just a little group of specialized quirk users. Izuku is the only one who can get free (courtesy of teleportation magic, letting him blink through the bars of their cage). Lost, hurt and so far from home, he has nowhere to go. All Might ends up saving him from a crow. Izuku - recognising the hero - asks for help. Thus begins the journey of them trying to find the quirk traffickers and All Might accidentally acquiring a tiny magic son.

The first thing All Might does when he finds Izuku (after like, saving him and making sure hes ok) is has a quick crisis bc holy shit hes so small and so sweet and fuck he’s so t i n y. Then he panic calls Nighteye, a man who he has not spoken a word to in 3 years.

dude just nighteye being like "all might why are you so focused on this one group" and all might, the worst liar to have ever existed, a miracle that he made this far, responds with "oh you know just reasons not like i have a tiny son-boy who is totally not some sort of fairy like creature hahahahahahahah" and nighteye just fucking stares at All Might while he tries to process this nonsense.

All Might can lie but no to people he knows lmao, one look at Nighteye and the man just crumbles. Izuku, who was literally just hiding in All Might’s backpack, pops out to say hi! Both Nighteye and Izuku have to take a moment because Izuku forgot just how tall Giants are and Nighteye is trying to process ‘four inch tall flying boy’. He has to sit down.

Izuku, the helpful soul he is, summons a nice, cool breeze for him because he looked pale, then Nighteye has another quiet freak out because this definitely isnt a quirk.

Nezu gets involved in the hunt for the quirk traffickers and quickly realises something is Up with All Might hunting down this random group so single-mindedly. He gets Aizawa to take a look into it. Aizawa runs into Izuku who, upon seeing a Giant he thinks is going to try to kidnap him again, throws dirt in his eyes and bolts. Aizawa is Displeased.

Yeah! All Might fills him in and he’s super embarrassed and ends up leaving a tiny ‘I’m sorry!’ note on his bedside table.

Ignoring all the stuff that happens in the middle, after the Fair Folk are saved and like, find their settlement and let everyone know they aren’t dead, the five of them actually join UA! 50% because their time with the quirk traffickers was scary and they want to save people from that, 50% because Izuku is so enthralled with Giants and their world he’d be heartbroken if they never got to return.

Under the cover of them being siblings with variations of the same quirk, they do all end up in 1A and become heroes in their own right. While they are getting caught up to speed on normal school stuff they missed, Izuku kinda ends up with 3 whole dads including Nighteye, same with the other kids to be honest. They like to hide in Aizawa’s scarf.

Some random things:

Izuku, the smallest of the bunch, is not quite 4 inches tall.

The group of them sneak out together to collect things - Izuku’s favourite thing is a tiny but detailed golden fox charm he found near a shrine.

Uraraka’s room is covered in half-finished wings and designs.

Bakugo secretly wishes his specialization wasn’t so destructive - he accidentally burnt a hole in Izuku’s second set of wings.

Iida secretly loves racing the birds nearby. Hes not meant to because they can be very dangerous, but by now they are used to him and look forward to when he shows up.

i legit have been trying to figure out how this man would be like in a relationship. I’ve read his Wikipedia, seen his scenes, read other headcanons for inspiration --- so much. And for the most part, I can somewhat see what he would be like but for some reason, my mind goes empty when I try to think about him 

nonetheless, here I go

Burns is a serious man, much like Hinawa; however, he is much more relaxed when compared to the Lieutenant of Company 8

he knows when to stop working and take a break unlike the aforementioned

however, there are moments where you have to pull him away from those piles of paperwork he has yet to finish --- like for real, the stacks just keep on coming with no end in sight like how is that even possible???

but despite this, you also know that sometimes it’s just best to let him continue to work. Strangely enough, I think he finds some peace when just signing papers (not saying he’s not at peace when with you but like yeah)

so you’ll provide him with a cup of water and a small meal as well as some small kisses in order to entice him to come to bed with you and actually rest rather than continuing to sit in that chair of his 🤭

and now that we have that part written down, let’s talk about how ya’ll started dating

in my opinion, I don’t think Burns would ever date someone in the Force. It’s too risky and messy and it literally just reminds him of all the things he’s done

so no, you are no a part of the Fire Force

instead, you’ll most likely be a civilian that he either saved or bumped into while on one of his missions or even when he just wanted to get out of the base and away from the job

another thing, I’m not saying it’s “love at first sight” type of thing but more of he just knew you were going to be special to him

and as much as he wanted to just walk away from you, he couldn’t. He physically could not step away from you without at least having known your name

and the rest is history

he has a tendency to spoil you, mainly to apologize for the frequent absences and because he just thinks you deserve the world

PDA isn’t something he’s into surprisingly enough

he likes the hugs, the kisses on the cheeks, and the holding of hands but anything else is to remain in the privacy of your home

but that doesn’t mean that you won’t declare your love for him when in front of other Company’s

oh I just thought of this

in the middle of the night, when the base is quiet and he’s still stuck doing work in his office --- you’ll sneak into the building and into the room. At first, he’ll scold you because you should be back at home in your shared bed sleeping soundly. Saying that he doesn’t want you getting sick from lack of sleep; however, you brush his scolding as if they were nothing. 

seeing this, he’ll just stare at you for a few minutes. Hoping to intimidate you, even though he knows he never will, in hopes that you’d leave. And when you continue in your defiance, he’ll just let out a sigh and scoot his chair back. Giving you access to his lap, you’ll grin a joyful grin as you climb into his lap, your face facing him. 

once comfortable in your new “bed”, he’ll scoot the chair back in and wrap one arm around your waist while the other holds yet another paper he has to sign. All while you’re quietly snoring into the crook of his neck

ngl there have been moments where the two of you have fallen asleep just like that and in the morning, the other members find you 

they secretly take pictures of you and then send them to you bc they know how much you love shit like that

it’ll be when you’re both alone and like he’ll start caressing your head, which would cause make you start to fall asleep but then you’ll do it back and he’ll start falling asleep and so on so forth

Rumours (Daisy Ridley x Reader)

Summary: Daisy and you are dating in secret because of the cameras. During a press panel promoting The Rise of Skywalker your relationship is accidentally discovered.

A/N: This was requested by @aleyann like a month ago. Sorry it took me so long, I hope you still like it anyways. (I didn't pasted the request bc it was a bit long.)

This was so far the biggest event you had attended to promote the movie so far. In the stage the entire main cast was sitting behind the long panel, in front of every person was a small sign with their names and what character they played.

You were sitting in one of the edges of the panel with those characters that were new in the movie, smiling happily at Daisy who was at the other end with the protagonist. Exchanging yearning gazes from time to time, being carefully not to be too obvious. The world couldn’t know you two were dating.

Half of the interview passed without incidents, your castmates answered some fan’s questions and laughed at the host’s jokes.

“Daisy” said the host and you smiled hearing her name. “We heard some rumors about you?” he said.

"What did you hear?” she chuckled.

“Rumour has it you're dating a cast mate” the host said and the audience went a bit wild. You expected that, it was almost a rule to ask her that but still you got a little nervous.

“Is that so?” she said in a playfully tone and then she went silent for a second, preparing herself to answer with a lie.

The first person every fan wanted by her side was Adam, even though he was married people seemed to really wanted them to get together. Then there was John, bright as ever people also wanted him to have something with Daisy. But out of all the movie cast nobody would ever suspect of you, an actress with one of the smallest roles in this big franchise.

It amused you sometimes the way all those people assumed actor's private life. Searching for clues their favorite actors were together, but it was okay, you were willing to deal with that.

Daisy looked at you discretely from the other end of the panel, doubting. You knew how much it hurt her to deny you in front of the cameras, but by this time you were already used to it. So you encouraged her with a subtle wink. Her confident smile was back on her face when she answered the question.

"I think they're just rumours." She said smiling "Because I'm not dating anyone. And I'm not interested in a relationship right now." The audience first reacted a bit disappointed but then they cheered and clapped at her answer. Your lips curved into a tiny smile admiring how much of a good actress she was.

“You just broke the heart of many boys, Daisy.” the host joked, making Daisy as well as you smile even wider, they were really clueless. You forced yourself not to smile when you felt host’s eyes laying on you.

"Alright, next question. This one goes to one of the newest member of the cast." The host announced holding his cards filled with fan's questions. "Y/F/N." The audience cheered as well as your castmates and you gave them a little weave before taking the microphone to your lips.

"Hi, everyone." You said.

"Y/N. We are all excited to have you here tonight and I know you can’t tell us much about your character but we do know she’s with the First Order, right?”

“She is, yeah.” you answered and remembered your limits about how much information they allowed you to share before speaking again. “In this movie we get to know some new faces and I think is very interesting. You’ll see.” you said.

“Okay. This are questions we always ask, which side would you be in, light or dark? and a character you would like to work with.”.

You laughed for a moment thinking how much you wanted to say Rey, but even that small answer could be a danger for both of you.

“I’m gonna choose the light side and for the character…” you paused for a moment. “Yoda.” the audience clapped once again and you allowed yourself to search for Daisy’s beautiful eyes across the panel only to found out they were already focused on you. You felt relieved your questions were easy, nothing deep due the very short appearance of your character in the movie, hoping the interview would end soon so you could get back to her.

The voice of the host dragged you out of your thoughts when he called your name. You looked at him, the man had a smile on his face and he cleared his throat before speaking again.

“Y/N, I have just one last question for you, but I need to know, would you be totally honest with me?”

“I can’t promise you anything, sadly.” you told him “I can’t reveal anything about the movie, you will have to wait to see it.” you answered professionally.

“Okay.” the man shifted on his seat “So, I couldn’t help to notice the way you’re constantly looking at this woman right here.” he gestured towards Daisy. “Is there a reason why you keep staring with such tenderness at Miss Ridley?”

You cursed yourself in your mind as the panic started to rush over your body. You saw by the corner of your eyes Daisy tensing by the question. You forced your brain to work, searching for an excuse to get the host satisfied, hoping he wouldn’t ask more.

“Oh, no reason.” you lied. “I’m just such a fan of the movies and Daisy´s work in this new one is really amazing.” you said and that was not a lie at all.

“Thank you!” she said to the microphone as if you two hadn’t interact before.

“That’s it?” the host questioned. You felt the glances not only of the public but your castmates focused on you. ‘Shit, I screw it!’ you thought.

“Yeah. Such a shame we didn’t really got to work together.” you said but you felt like you were only making things worse.

“Our characters don’t even interact.” she added trying to help you. “I barely spent time with her.”

“Barely?” commented John sitting next to Daisy. “They hardly ever separate. This is the first time I see them apart in months!” he said with a bright smile. Of course he knew about her and you, he was one of your closest friends, it was impossible not to tell him but now you kind of regretted it. Everyone knew he was not the really best at keeping secrets.

“John!” Daisy and you yelled at the same time to make him realize what he had just said. And you saw him closing his eyes for a moment in pure regret.

“Sorry.” he muttered and took his microphone again. “They’re really good friends and…” he started to explain to the audience but Daisy stopped him.

“Enough.” she said and the people went quiet. You watched her as she swallowed hard, you knew stages made her extremely nervous but she looked even more anxious than normally. “Rumours are true, I am dating one of my castmates.” there was a collective gasp in the big conference room, all of them waiting for her words. “It’s her, I’m dating Y/N”

There room went dead silent and it only made the tension on you grow bigger, but she’ve said it. Daisy made your relationship public, she who was the most afraid of them knowing and you understood it. So she saying that in front of hundreds of people and cameras made you feel a bit free, no more hiding or pretending, you could tell everyone that Daisy was with you.

“I guess it’s not a secret anymore.” the sound of your voices spreaded through the crowded room that moments later cheered enthusiastically.

Then you saw Daisy bright smile as she got up her seat and walked behind all your castmates towards you and you stood up receiving her with your arms as you held her there for a moment. Then she leaned to kiss you gently.

The audience went wild applauding your kiss, cheering for both of you. But at the moment you only cared about Daisy, and the amazing feeling being free to love her, even in front of the whole damn world.

Just as you think you’ve successfully made it through the hallway, a voice calls your name and you audibly sigh and turn to the owner of said voice. Jungkook has his head peering around the door from, looking at you.

“Where ya going?” He inquires.

“To the bathroom...” you trail off, hoping that he doesn’t catch on to the very obvious need in your voice.

“Why did you sneak off?”

“Because I didn’t want to interrupt you guys. Enough interrogation I need to go.”

You ignore any more words coming from his mouth, as you’re already practically sprinting to the bathroom. Fuck Min Yoongi. God, you’d like to. Why he chose on having you sit on his lap during the movie, why he had to keep flexing his fucking thigh every time he so much as shuffled, why he had to keep a grip on your waist was beyond you and now you were all riled up. Well... technically, you’d been riled up for the last nine days and you were nearing insanity. You know that it was around the time that you are ovulating, so of course your body is craving a little more than usual but... this is a lot more than usual. This is tons more than usual. And hanging out with the Bangtan Fraternity is not helping your case.

No, it never helped your case. Because all seven members are hot. Yesterday, Namjoon had appeared in the kitchen shirtless and he’s been working out for the last five months and he’s got some real nice pecs and a faint but still obvious set of abs and- you inhaled your orange juice through your nose and Taehyung had a fit. So, you slam the bathroom door shut and stand there for a moment. You stare at yourself in the mirror and mutter to yourself in an attempt to cool your ever growing body temperature. Your eyes are blown wide and there’s a rosey hue to your cheeks. You look exactly how you feel and you know at least one of the members has caught on to what’s bothering you.

As you run a hand through your hair, the door knocks.

“Come on!”

Fucking Hoseok.

You tear the door open, giving him a glare.

“You didn’t flush.” He points out with a disgusted look.

“I didn’t do anything. You put me off.” Technically it isn’t a lie. Hoseok gives you a weird look and tugs you out of the room so that he can go in. He doesn’t even shut the door properly. Disgusting.

Why are you even friends with these disgusting frat boys? You do have to wonder. Your legs are starting to shake a little. You decide to sit down in the kitchen, opting you stay away from the room full of guys for a moment. You need to catch your breath. You hear the bathroom door shut and Hoseok whistles as he makes his way back to the living room. With him gone, you could totally just go back to the bathroom...

You’re seriously debating it. It’s so tempting and Yoongi’s actions have caused a horrible burn in the pit of your stomach. Your guts are doing summersalts and your fingers are itching to relieve yourself.

“Oh, there you are!” A boxy grin greets you and it takes every ounce of will power to not scream.

What the hell has gotten into you? Since when were you so horned up? You seriously need to cool it.

“Yes, here I am.” You mask over the frustration in your voice and give Taehyung as much of a smile as you can.

“Everything alright?”

“Yeah, yeah...” you turn your attention to the fruit bowl, turning an apple with your index finger.

“Everything doesn’t seem alright. You jumped off of Yoongi Hyung like he was hot.”

“Yoongi is hot.” You roll your eyes.

“You know what I meant.”

“Everything’s okay, Tae, I promise.” You look back up at him and give him another smile.

He takes one proper look at your face and it takes a lot to not call you out. He knows that if you wanted help, you would definitely ask and you were obviously trying to ignore your whole situation. Your lips are bruising a little from how badly you’ve been biting them, your eyes are clouded and blown wide, your cheeks are gently flushed and so if the expanse of your chest from what he can make out of the skin peeking out of your shirt. You’re horny.

You suddenly feel as though Tae is eye-fucking you and you cross your arms over your chest, awkwardly turning away from him. Both of you have grown comfortable with one another. You usually send for Tae in your times of need (aka wanting someone to platonically cuddle with) because he has expressed no romantic interest in you. There’s no chance it could ever possible happen. So, you feel comfortable with him.

But right now, seeing only just a fraction of how you’d look being completely ruined, Tae can’t help but kind of okay really want to bend you over the counter and help you out.

He clears his throat.

“Okay well... if you say so.”

You hum in response and then turn to him again.

“The movie is kinda boring so I’m gonna chill out in here instead.” You announce, voice suddenly weak.

“Okay...” he barely manages a whisper and turns away immediately.

You slip into one of the cool bar stools and immediately there’s a burning cold running up and down your exposed legs. The plastic nips into your hot flesh and you sigh.

The clock is ticking behind you and you can barely make out the sound of people outside. There’s a good 30-40ft of distance between the frat house next door and so you don’t have to worry too much about their noise. It’s mostly quiet and the sun isn’t on this side of the house. The room is still bright, though.

Another sigh leaves your lips after a moment passes. Maybe it’s the coolness of the seat, but you’re finally feeling a little better. You definitely need to invest in finding more female friends.

You ignore it. Just ignore it. Maybe he’ll stop.

Again, you pretend not to hear, jotting down another note.

“Pssssst!” A finger jabs into your side and you finally cave, head snapping to your right.

You come face to face with some coffee coloured orbs which are a little wide and sparkling in mischief (albeit a little regret after your angry face turns to him), he’s got mousy hair and plump-ish lips and holy shit he’s kind of cute. You don’t let your face falter, though. This is the first lecture of the year and he’s already interrupting and talking?

“Could I borrow a pen?” He whispers sheepishly, “I left my pencil case back home...”

You huff, not uttering a single word to him as you open your case and practically throw a pen at him.

“Thanks...” he whispers and now he feels bad. It was a genuine mistake, though! He got a little busy with Jimin and the PlayStation and before he knew it, he had like 20 minutes to get ready and get to class and it’s a seven minute walk from the frat house to this lecture hall so he only had 13 minutes to get ready and- he kind of left his pencil case on the kitchen counter, “...I’m Jungkook by the way.”

You don’t respond. He doesn’t say anything else until the lecture ends and he’s watching you throw things into your rucksack. It’s very cliche - and trust, he knows this - but you are the first girl who’s not melted at the look of him and he kind of likes that? He likes that you haven’t given in so easily.

“I’m sorry about all that,” he begins once people start to up and leave. You turn to him.

“It’s fine. Keep the pen.”

And you’re gone.

Jungkook spends the rest of the day thinking about you and he feels so guilty. It was the first day! How could he forget one of the two things that are going to carry him through his university. You can’t have paper without pen! Okay, that makes no sense but, he still feels really bad. So he goes out and buys this lowkey expensive pen as an apology and he’s super early the next day. He catches you outside and tugs you away from the doors.

“I hope you don’t want another pen-“ you snap at him.

“No, listen, I just wanted to apologise for yesterday. It was totally my fault and I’m sorry for making such a bad impression of myself. Here.” Jungkook has never done the whole gift-to-a-girl thing before so he just kind of thrusts you an unwrapped box. It’s a pretty pen. A muted metallic rose gold. It also comes with refills.

Oh. That was sweet. But you immediately realise how much this must’ve cost him and you decide-

“I can’t accept this, Jungkook.” You offer politely, reaching out to give it him back.

“Please, I really want you to have it. I felt awful after you looked at me like you wanted to bite my head off.” He rubs the back of his neck, unable to look at you for a moment. You ponder. This is a really sweet gesture.

“Alright,” you sigh, “but you’re not giving me a lot of choice. Thank you, Jungkook.”

“You’re welcome...” he trails off so that you can fill in your name.

“[First]. I’m [First].” You give him a smile.

Before you know where you are, you’re being pushed through the cafeteria by Jungkook and he’s screaming out “Hyung!” And then six different guys are all staring at you. Jungkook introduces you to them, sits you down next to the one called Taehyung and takes the biggest bite you’ve ever seen out of Namjoon’s sandwich. This happens for the next few days until you start to willingly accompany Jungkook.

Three years have passed since then and you are now sitting in their kitchen trying not to jump the bones of the next one that walks through the door.

You think about Jungkook back then. He’s always had a little bit of a baby face, but back then he was still a little lanky so it was more obvious. He had a pretty weak build. Obviously, since then, he’s been going to the gym like twice (sometimes thrice) a day because he’s earnt the nickname muscle pig. Somehow you also know that he’s gotten stronger because he can “hold an entire girl up with ease without needing any support” (it was also the worst sex he ever had, so he’d not done it since). Great. Now you’re thinking about Jungkook holding you up and-

No. No, you are not going to think about Jungkook like that. It’s bad enough you’re sitting in here avoiding the seven of them like the plague because you know that if you have to sit on Yoongi’s lap again you’ll end up riding his thigh like your life depends on it.

“Penny for your thoughts?”

Jimin’s voice rips you out of your thoughts about Yoongi’s thighs and you look up at him. He’s recently dyed his hair black and holy shit he is the epitome of sex on legs. He walks across the kitchen to grab a glass and turns to you for a minute.

“Hello? Am I talking to the wall?”

“Sorry,” you find yourself finally finding words, “bored.”

“There’s a whole Fast and Furious in the living room-“

Jimin blows his teeth out at your response. Of course you wouldn’t want to watch a movie because the main character isn’t hot. He fills his glass with water and takes a swig.

“Well sorry he’s not Leonardo Di-whatever his name is.”

“First of all, rude, second of all I didn’t realise you guys missed my company so.”

“It’s nice having female company.” He wiggles his eyebrows.

“You’re disgusting, Park.”

“Not as disgusting as the girl who blatantly tried to ride Yoongi hyung’s thigh like ten minutes ago.”

He throws the words over his shoulder as he leaves the room and your face explodes in red. Shit. Okay. You need to leave right now if you want to save face. You pray to god that only Jimin saw because you cannot emotionally handle the guys making fun of you right now. You need to go home, get your vib and go to town for a couple of hours. You’ll feel better.

You almost jump off of the stool in your anticipation to leave. Part of you wants to go and say goodbye to the boys, but you know you’ll end up coerced into staying if you do. They’ll text if they worry about you.

Your feet are moving towards the front door and you pause just before you walk past the living room. The door is wide open (typical Jimin) and there is no way they won’t spot you. Round the back it is.

Who would’ve thought you of all people would be sneaking out of the frat house?

It’s not under the same circumstances as the other girls but, you’re still sneaking out and you still kind of feel like James Bond so it totally counts. The back door (as expected) is unlocked and you’re pleasantly surprised to see that the pool is actually covered. The boys have finally taken heed after two and a half years of you giving them shit for not covering it over.

You’re so close to leaving when you realise your fatal misstep in this whole mission. Your phone. It’s still on the sofa next to Yoongi. Fuck.

Maybe if you found a way to distract the guys and lure them outside, you could just rush back in and-

“What are you doing?”

The sass in the voice alerts you to who it is immediately. You literally don’t know how to answer him bevause your standing at the side of the house, looking out at the street that’s so close but so far away, nervously biting at your cuticles.

“I’m, uh, getting some fresh air.”

“Yeah, right. You can’t just leave, [First]!” Seokjin scolds and he’s pulling you back towards the back door.

“But I’m bored!” You whine.

“You let Jungkook choose the movie.”

“Yeah but he gave me his puppy eyes and an extra mini-cookie.”

The movie apparently just finished because Hoseok, Yoongi and Namjoon are standing in the kitchen. You can hear Jungkook and Jimin squabbling in the kitchen and you’re kind of a little too embarrassed to see Tae right now. None of them pay much attention to Seokjin or yourself as he scolds you for trying to leave without saying goodbye. You apologise to him before excusing yourself to grab your phone. You pass Jungkook in the hall and he grins at you.

“Hi baby,” he blows a kiss.

“Suck it, Jeon.” You playfully scowl and make your way to your precious phone.

You clutch it up and look at your notifications. Just a couple of snaps from Hyuna. Nothing out of the ordinary. Jimin is lolling on the sofa watching you. He knows he was the only member that saw what you were doing, and Yoongi probably didn’t even realise what was happening until you’d leapt from his grasp.

“[First],” he calls out.

“Hm?” You’re trying to act nonchalant.

“What the hell was that? With Yoongi Hyung.” His voice is a whisper and you draw yourself close to him.

“You don’t think anyone else saw, do you?” For a moment your mind flashes to Hoseok. God you hope Hoseok didn’t see.

It may have been pointed out by Jimin that you have a phat (with a capital PH) crush on Hoseok. Whilst that is certainly not true, it’s also not not true. You definitely have a thing for Hoseok but it’s not a crush, per se. There’s the obvious, first, that the man is fucking gorgeous in every sense of the word. He must’ve been sculpted by the gods themselves because no one should have a jawline that sharp, or a nose that perfectly sloping and pointed. And definitely not lips like that. Plump to just the right size and form the shape of a heart whenever he smiles. Also, the rest of him, his arms (which you notice he’s been working on lately. He came back after dance practise wearing a vest and you almost creamed right there - Jimin didn’t shut up for like a week), his hands, his fluffy hair, his legs, that slab of chocolate-shaped abs that you want to run your damn tongue over-

Okay you have a thing for Hoseok. But it’s only physical. Anyone would be crazy to not crush on him. He’s gorgeous. He’s a an absolute beauty of a man and with being a dancer, you can only imagine how much stamina he has.

But he’s also the most good-hearted person you’ve ever met in your life. He laughs so loudly, he smiles so brightly and it’s all so genuine. He’s always been there for the other frat members and for you whenever you’ve needed him. He’s gotten up at 3am to console a sobbing Namjoon after his girlfriend broke up with him. He’s gone to the gym to help a small and fragile Jungkook work on his personal goals. He’s sat with you for hours helping you revise for exams. He goofs off a lot and doesn’t care woo looks, but he’s not afraid to cry in front of his frat members and you. He finds the dumbest things funny and he’s also the biggest scaredy-cat you’ve ever met and he’s just so... so Jung Hoseok. Everything about him is so inviting from his raspy laugh to his sparking eyes. He makes you feel secure in being yourself because he’s definitely not going to judge. Hell, if someone can go to all of their lectures for a day wearing just a mankini because they lost a bet to the maknaes, they’re definitely not going to judge you for dancing on the kitchen counter to a little bit of the Rolling Stones.

He, of course, is a fuckboy, yes. He brings home a lot of girls. You’ve been over at the house when you’ve heard “oh god-! Hoseok! Oh~!” and felt that pang of whatever the fuck that feeling is whenever he brings a girl home. But you’d never ever go that far with him yourself. Hoseok doesn’t want a full-time relationship. He doesn’t have the time for it. At least, that’s what he’s told you when you randomly asked why he doesn’t date. And you don’t want to be just a fling to him. You want to be able to hold his hand and show him off because he’s the best guy in the world. You want to sit on his lap while he studies and run your hands through his hair and reassure him that everything is going to be ok when he’s stressing over the smallest things. You want to go with him to Hope World (his personal studio for his Producing class) and sit on that little couch with the flower plushy and watch him tack tack tack away as he works hard. You want to go places with him and just him and have him all to yourself always. But you definitely don’t have a crush on him.

“[First] did you hear a word of what I just said?”

“Huh?”

“What the hell are you thinking about?” Jimin launches a pillow at you and you manage to catch it.

“Nothing, what were you saying?”

“I was answering your question. I was the only one that saw you trying to get yourself off on Yoongi and I’m fairly sure he didn’t even realise himself but - why the fuck were you trying to get off on Yoongi?”

Hoseok is laughing at something Yoongi has just said when he remembers that he was in the middle of texting that cute girl from the club a few nights ago. He reaches into his left pocket and then his right and finds... well nothing. Where’s his phone?

He looks around on the counter and sees only Namjoon’s phone and Seokjin’s keys and shit he must’ve left them in the living room. He can hear Taehyung upstairs listening to his classical music. He’s probably studying or jerking off. Jungkook is no longer making a ruckus in the living room so he’s guessing it’s empty.

He excuses himself from the conversation and slowly makes his way back to grab his phone. Hopefully there will be another lacy surprise waiting for him.

“[First] did you hear a word of what I just said?” Jimin’s voice is hushed and low. Clearly he doesn’t want to be heard. Hoseok stops in his tracks. He pressed his back against the wall, standing right next to the arch where the door is. He doesn’t want to eavesdrop but he also doesn’t want to interrupt.

“Huh?” The confusion in your voice is evidence that you didn’t.

“What the hell are you thinking about?” There’s a sound. A soft ‘puft’ kind of sound. It reminds him of a pillow.

“Nothing, what were you saying?” Hosoek knows you well enough that he catches the breath of a lie twisting your words. You were thinking about something.

“I was answering your question. I was the only one that saw you trying to get yourself off on Yoongi and I’m fairly sure he didn’t even realise himself but - why the fuck were you trying to get off on Yoongi?”

Woah - back up. You were trying to get off on Yoongi?! During the movie?! Hoseok’s breath catches in his throat. He didn’t see you- yes he did. You were perched on Yoongi’s lap.... oh.

“Okay, look,” you sigh, defeated, “you can’t tell anyone this, alright?” Your voice lowers to a hush but Hoseok can still just about make out the words.

“Alright.” Jimin whispers.

For some reason, Hoseok feels really dirty. Maybe he shouldn’t be listening to this-

“I haven’t...” your voice trails off to a mumble.

“Huh?” It seems Jimin didn’t catch your words, either.

“I... I haven’t had...” again you trail away.

“Seriously, stop mumbling.” Jimin is growing a little irked.

“I haven’t had sex in over a year!” You hiss and Hoseok’s jaw literally drops.

“WHAT?!” Jimin leaps up and you smack your hand over his mouth. His eyes are swimming with genuine shock and your about to cry now that he’s alerted the entire street.

“Jimin!” You whine, “shut up!”

“Sorry-“ his mouth is muffled against your hand and it takes a strip of his tongue over your hand for you to pull away, “hope that didn’t turn you on more. If it’s even possible.”

“Oh shut up, Jimin.” You hiss, “it’s no big deal, obviously. It’s just getting to me a little. I’ll be alright. I just need to go home and have some... you know...” you look down at your feet. Oh god, this is awkward.

“I can always help.” Jimin wiggles his eyebrows.

“Help with what?”

You freeze up and Jimin looks like the heavens have just opened for him. His eyes light up and you’ve never seen anyone try to hold back such a huge, shit-eating grin.

Hoseok steps into the room like he wasn’t just listening to you confess you’ve experiencing the longest dry-spell of your life.

“[First] has a bit of a problem. Actually it’s a huge problem,” Jimin starts and your sending him a look of warning. But Jimin knows you’re so whipped for Hoseok so maybe if he just hints a little, he can get you some dick and some Jung dick at that, “it’s a real burning blunder. It’s a hot, hot issue, let me tell ya Hyung.”

“Park Jimin.” You warm quietly through gritted teeth.

“Oh yeah?” Hoseok’s grabbed his phone now and he’s looking between you and Jimin. You’re standing really close to one another and you instinctively step away. Hoseok wants to say that he knows what your problem is and looking at your face, he doesn’t know how it wasn’t given away much earlier. Fuck, you look hot with the need swimming in your eyes.

“Yeah. It’s a real peak of an issue, wouldnt you say? I bet it’ll be a pretty orgasmic feeling when you solve it.”

Never in your life have you considered murder. But right now? Yeah, right now you could smash Jimin’s coy smirk right into the fucking wall.

Oh god. Hoseok’s asking you on a trip? Technically it’s wil the others but your heart just skipped a beat and Jimin is certain that you’re going to cry out of happiness.

“I, uh, I don’t know I-“

“She’d love to!” Jimin answers for you, “you don’t have any plans whatsoever do you?”

On the other end of the line, Drew swore under his breath and managed to calmly reply, “Understood. Did you receive my email?” as a way to change the subject quickly. Otherwise, Drew thought to himself, Daniel is going to pick right up on just how hell bent I am on not obeying my orders to the letter.

“I did. The footage the bugs you planted picked up will go a long way in helping the DEA. If I had to guess, you won’t have to be in much longer. Now I’m gonna ask you again, agent… Can you continue without telling her what you’re involved in?” Daniel repeated himself, pausing to wait for an answer. Oh, he knew perfectly well that Drew had ulterior motivation in taking on this case. If the guy would just confess that to him, he might be surprised what Daniel was prepared to do to help him out.

They’d all been there at some point. You didn’t do this job as long as they had without forming some kind of protective attachment to some of the trapped victims in these things. Hell, he’d definitely done that himself.

But he knew the agent he was handling was… not the kind of guy to ask for help. He’d rather rely on himself than turn to a more seasoned team member and rely on them. The thought had Daniel fuming and preparing himself to do what he might have to do, going to their lead agent and telling them that he believed Agent Gulak may be well on the way to compromising himself.

Drew swallowed hard and tugged at his tie, two things that would’ve been a dead giveaway for Daniel Bryan if he were around to witness, luckily, he wasn’t. He propped his legs on the desk in front of him and took a deep breath, already going into exit strategy mode.

Because there had to be a way to do this and get her out of danger. There had to be. And he wasn’t going to rest until he found that way. 

He’d just hung up when he heard her speak up from behind and he realized that somehow, she’d just heard his entire conversation…

Well fuck, he thought to himself, this is going to be fun. I can’t very well not tell her what’s going on now, can I? She’s obviously just heard the conversation.

I froze in the doorway, focused on processing what I’d just overheard Drew saying to whoever he’d been talking to. When it started to piece itself together, all I could do was stand there, shocked.

He wasn’t what I’d written him off to be. He was trying to do the right thing here and somehow, I never should have had a doubt about that. The fact that I had made me feel like utter shit. I shook my head and my mouth opened, only to close again when nothing would come out. I didn’t even realize he was aware I was in the room until he started angrily barking questions at me and I met his gaze, biting my lip as I stepped into the room and shut the door behind me.

Drew walked over and locked it quickly, pacing back and forth in front of me for a little bit.

I stepped in front of him at one point, stopping him and reaching up to thread my fingers along his tie and tug at it. “For your information… I wasn’t eavesdropping, first of all. I came here to apologize about earlier… The argument in the limo? The one where you basically called me a privileged brat?”

He eyed me, taking a deep breath as our bodies brushed against each other. I paused and toyed with the untied tie, not daring to meet his gaze. Because now that I knew the truth, I felt horrible for the way I’d been handling things since he just waltzed back into my life. He was right. I had been behaving like a brat.

Because I never got closure. I never got to tell him how much him leaving me would hurt. I never got the chance to tell him that I wanted to leave with him and that I loved him, probably more than I’d ever loved anyone.

But he was right here, right now.

“Yeah?” his voice was thicker, and his finger curled beneath my chin, guiding my face so that I had to look him in the eyes. I took a second, staring at him; distracted and he repeated himself again, more firmly this time when he asked exactly what I’d heard.

“Enough to know I was completely wrong. And more than enough to know that maybe you were right earlier. Maybe” I stepped closer, my body pressed against his. He swallowed hard and stared down at me expectantly and I took a deep breath, continuing, “Maybe I was being a brat earlier.”

“There’s absolutely no maybe to it. You were being a complete brat.” Drew countered calmly, reaching around me to lock the door to the room. “But I understand. I left. After I promised I wouldn’t.”

“Did you leaving then have any reason to do with why you’re back now?” I asked the question quietly, hopefully and I found myself holding my breath while I looked up at him and waited on my answer. 

“To an extent. My cover was about to be blown back then. I had to disappear. I’m surprised they let me take this one. My cover could still be blown..” he trailed off, going quiet and raised his hand to my face, taking it in his hand. His thumb rolled over my skin and he took a second or two before continuing, “I had no choice but to disappear. And lie to you about who I was back then. If you knew…”

I nodded because I understood. “I get it.”

His hand moved from my cheek, splayed across the back of my head with his fingers tangled in my hair as he looked down at me and muttered quietly, “I had other reasons for taking this. If your dad is in prison, you’re free. You don’t have to worry about all the measures he goes through to keep you prisoner. I came back for you too.”

I felt my stomach flutter a little and my hand rested palm down against the button front shirt before finally clutching at it as I rose to tiptoe and cautiously planted what I thought would be a clumsy kiss against the corner of his mouth. Drew groaned quietly, his free hand going to my lower back, the hand in my hair tugging, pulling my mouth completely against his as he breathed against my lips, “I’m not leaving without you. And I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”

“Am I in as much danger as my father says I’m in all the time?” the question came out quietly after the kiss broke, the two of us pulling away with flushed faces and breathing heavily. I leaned against him and worked on composure.

This was not what I’d come in here for, but it was everything I wanted -and apparently, needed.

“Worse than. I don’t think that asshole really knows just how many people are after him. So when he cast the net for a new bodyguard for you and I put two and two together...I knew I had to come back.”

I nodded, staring up at him as I took a few deep breaths. I knew his secret now. I mulled it over and quietly, I sat down on the edge of the heavy mahogany desk nearby and started to tell him mine. How I planned to leave and in a few months, send a flash drive of every single illegal and shady thing my father had ever done to the FBI. How I knew I’d have to permanently disappear after doing so because daughter or not, betrayal was not something my father took lightly. As I finished up, Drew was pacing the room again, rubbing his chin in thought.

“Give me the flash drive.”

“But he’ll.. If he even thinks you’re not on the up and up…”

“I can call for backup, Cat. You can’t.”

“Damn it, Drew..”

“Don’t fucking argue with me, Cat. Give me the flash drive. I can get it to my handler. Once my handler has it, we can figure out everything else.” Drew insisted and I nodded, biting my lip.

“I’ll meet you tomorrow night. At 8. I’ll be back at my own apartment then. Pretty sure he’s told you that, he plans to make you camp outside my door to keep me safe. It’s what he did with the others.” I told him as my fingertip trailed over his lips. 

“8, it is.” he muttered quietly, leaning in to pull me into another deep and steady kiss before I hurried out, back down to my own wing of the mansion.

I know it sounds weird but. hear me out. this is my second prompt based on a CLAMP work and it will sound far fetched but...trust me. the original manga is named “Tokyo Babylon” and it involves twins of a renowned family of magicians/exorcists working to solve mysteries in their town + a forbidden love between one of said twins and a man belonging to a rival family.]

[reasons why I thought of this prompt based on such source:

1). I know. I am aware. It would have made much more sense to have the Twin Jades of Lan be the exorcists of the situation. but Mo XuanYu deserves to go on adventures as well and, also, the twins in CLAMP’s manga are much more easygoing than the Two Jades so. artistic license. sue me.

2). I wanted Lan WangJi to be ruthless and cold blooded against his will.

3). in this prompt of mine I had to twist a couple of things but.............spare me.

Fast paced is the existence of what hides festering the darkness and gray areas of the world, especially in a city like Yiling, where spirits of every kind haunts the realm of the living looking for retribution and vengeance. Be it a vending machine suddenly dripping blood from every crevice and nook, or a hanged body making its appearance in a public toilet downtown.

Night after night new ghosts slither through the cracks of reality and slip into this world. Like oil stains spreading out in the endless ocean, rotting away in the corners of Yiling, forgotten and free to gather as much resentful energy from every living source as possible day after day. Making it impossible for the residents to sleep peacefully ever again.

Among such chaos a family was allowed to prosper and shine: the Sanren Clan, household of indisputable fame in their approach to grant peace to the dead. Powerful exorcists as they are, they developed a new kind of purification ritual over centuries of serving the emperor, to the point nobody can rival them in the matters of the underworld. Head of the clan is Wei WuXian, twenty-five-year-old grandmaster of demonism with an eye for the occult and a genius mind to aid him in his endeavors. His twin brother XuanYu, although lacking the spiritual energy required to perform full exorcisms alone, was gifted with a talent for memorization and array design that is unrivaled in the entire nation. Techniques like “Empathy”, for instance, require him to be briefly possessed by ghosts in order to understand how to help them cross the bridge between the two realms; while demonic possession drains his body as well as his memories in exchange to grant a spirit an outburst through his very body. His twin brother worries for him and tries his best to allow them to live normal lives, insisting they live separately from the rest of the Clan to enjoy their youth.

After all, the Wen Family protects them from harm and Wen Qing herself has suggested for other members of the Clan to take over Wei WuXian’s workload whenever possible, so not to overwork him to death. Hence, ever since Elder BaoShan granted XuanYu’s request, the twins, along with their bodyguard Wen Ning and personal physician Wen Qing, have tried to live relatively normal lives as any other young adult their age. Spending their days playing board games and going shopping, visiting new art galleries and practicing sports.

The bond between Wei WuXian and his brother is so deep the eldest knows he is transparent to XuanYu and that no lie will be strong enough to convince him that everything is fine. So he lets his younger brother do as he pleases, helping him around the small clothing design studio where XuanYu works at even if they are rich and technically don’t lack money at all. He also accepts to live in a minuscule apartment with him and their two friends just to indulge his “need to live like normal college students for once”, even if none of them are enrolled in university. Wei WuXian enjoys the little things his brother is determined to give him and tries to relax by day... knowing too well he has to work by night and channel resentful energy for corpses and spirits to peacefully pass the threshold of the otherworld.

The fact that they also made a new friend in the last year is also one of the reasons XuanYu seems so keen on letting his older brother live outside of the Sanren estate. A quiet man in his thirties named Lan WangJi who works as a veterinarian nearby their apartment. XuanYu has noticed for a while how kindly the man treats Wei WuXian, how fondly he answers to the other’s teasing and jokes, how invested he looks in the younger man’s wellbeing. It would be cruel to separate them.

Certainly, the fact that the Lan Clan is known for harvesting assassins since the beginning of time would be a hindrance to their friendship, and the elders would definitely order the twins to go back home. But, since Lan WangJi doesn’t seem interested in following such bloodied path, XuanYu indulges his brother and plays along with every joke and trick, insisting how little the veterinarian fits in the Lan Clan at every opportunity.

Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian already met in the past, during a mission at night when the latter was barely eighteen and a spirit had just ceased possessing his body, leading him to the culprit of their murder. Lan WangJi had just returned from yet another purge, his fingers still holding the guqin string he had used to cut the throats of his Clan’s enemies. Tired and bored of that life, Lan WangJi found Wei WuXian’s presence refreshing for the small time they spent together on Yiling Bridge that particular night. Even if the boy looks out of it after being possessed, carefree and kind, gentle. Impressed with the younger’s ability to empathize with evil creatures, Lan WangJi made a bet with the boy: that they would meet again in the future and that if, after spending one year together, he were to fall for Wei WuXian, he would stop being a killer and leave the Lan Clan for good.

The only thing Wei WuXian remembers of that night was that he revealed his real name to a stranger on a bridge at night, and that now someone in that town lives knowing him as Wei Ying, not Wei WuXian grandmaster of demonism. So he’s always looking for that person, hoping to meet them again, unaware of the truth, believing to have developed feelings for someone whose existence resembles more a dream than anything else.

Now, one year has passed since the day Lan WangJi has entered the twins’ lives and things have changed. Demons and spirits have become more aggressive over the last few months, whispering to Wei WuXian to get them the revenge they deserve, corrupting his mind with persuasive words and violent acts, making his blood boil and his memories fade night after night. After one particularly long mission XuanYu takes his older brother to Lan WangJi in a fit of panic, asking him to help. Blood is gushing out of Wei WuXian’s eyes, ears, mouth and nostrils; the situation escalated almost to the point of no return, now that even Wen Qing is unconscious and has been taken to safety at the Sanren estate by Wen Ning himself. The demon asked for a price too high, shaking Wei WuXian from the inside out to the point he inadvertently pushed Wen Qing out the way and made her hit her head.

But the sight of human blood awakens something in Lan WangJi, something he had tried to forget about and suppress for months the moment he had met Wei WuXian for the second time in his life, one year ago. Something falls in place and as he watches Wei WuXian regain consciousness he breaks one of his arms and tries to kill him.

XuanYu defends his brother with all his might, throwing talismans to the older man’s face until one of them catches him off guard and blinds him in his right eye.

Lan WangJi is forced to escape, but not before XuanYu is able to cast a spell on him. For as long as he will live, XuanYu will always know where Lan WangJi hides and no amount of spiritual energy will erase the trace.

Dragging his sobbing brother back to the estate, XuanYu reveals what happened to Elder BaoShan, feeling guilty for having trusted a Lan despite the warnings. Elder BaoShan tries to heal Wei WuXian’s injuries and make the early signs of qi deviation regress at the best of her abilities, but in doing so she sacrifices her spiritual energy to the point of losing her sight. Wei WuXian, traumatized by Lan WangJi’s betrayal, has a flashback of that mission from seven years ago and realizes the person he was looking for is the man who introduced himself as Lan Zhan.

Heartbroken, Wei WuXian falls in a coma and XuanYu lets the resentful energy overtake him to the point he decides to go look for Lan WangJi and seek revenge himself. He dies in the attempt and the bond with his twin brother breaks, the backlash so strong Wei Ying wakes up and immediately knows his baby brother is no more.

Assuming the worst, he takes his time healing before deciding to look for Lan Zhan himself and kill him for erasing XuanYu’s existence from the face of the earth.

BACKGROUND / FAMILY:

Amycus Abigor Carrow came crashing into the world screaming for his sister. Born the eldest to the Carrow dynasty, he was expected to eventually mount the role as the heir to the family legacy, but Amycus quickly proved himself to be Quite the Disappointment. 

As a young child, Amycus was soft spoken, easily intimidated and quiet ( main inspiration for baby Amycus: Radu from And I Darken tbh ). Mostly clung to the family’s staff, always crying, always craving closeness. For a while, he was just as angelic as he looked. 

Never saw much of his parents while growing up. His father was a successful businessman who only had kids because he was supposed to ( to carry on the blood line ), and wanted nothing to do with him. Instead, Amycus was left in the care of his grandfather.

His grandfather was FUCKED. An absolutely terrible man. A Death Eater before his time. An actual demon. Can’t say enough bad things about him, ya feel.

Either way, his grandfather was absolutely disgusted by Amycus, who could never fit into the mold that had been created for him. Thought his grandson was a poor excuse for a Carrow and thought he could change that through pain and violence. So, lessons were drilled in using corporal punishment, and the emotional and physical abuse he suffered eventually turned him into something colder and darker. What had once been soft, turned harsh, rough around the edges. A shell of a boy was left behind, not a trace of that sweetness left behind once they were done with him ( but were they ever? ).

Amycus basically became filled with resentment against everyone in his family, with the exception of Alecto. She has always been there, from the day they were born. She was the one to dry his tears, the one to hold his hand, the one to tell him where to hide. The one constant, his safe haven. They come as a matching set, and Amycus would kill ( and definitively has, too lbr ) for her.

Gained a definite rebellious streak pretty early on, which only became more aggressive as he got older. Once he reached his teenage years, he’d do ANYTHING and everything to fuck with his father & grandfather. Kinda stopped caring about the punishment, so used to pain that he stopped fearing it. Almost stopped feeling it.

Definitively grew up in his sister’s shadow, and was always the lesser Carrow.

When he turned fifteen, he moved out and never looked back. Decided to make his own future, and just never spoke to his family (Alecto is always the exception we all know this) again. Because fuck y’all, basically.

SO. His family’s plans had been for him to finish his education at Hogwarts, and then follow in his father’s foot steps and take over the company and the family name. Amycus had different plans though, obviously. 

His family were... so angry with him. But they definitively pretend ( because can’t have Amycus ruining their good reputation, am I right ) that they were the ones to encourage Amycus to find his own path in life and become a curse breaker.

Though, Amycus was never denounced as a Carrow ( because they didn’t wanna air their dirty laundry to the world, ya know ). Most pureblood families have noticed though that Amycus isn’t exactly... close with his family. I mean, at pureblood parties, he literally pretends that he can’t see them. 

AESTHETIC / VIBES:

old gramophones, blood stained mirrors, broken glasses, bleeding fists, standing in silence for hours, chipped teeth, unwavering loyalty, unhealed scars, getting home at the crack of dawn, red wine, eyes too blue to be trusted, long showers, god complexes, the color of dusk, messy hair, blood soaked suits, always cheating death, a rebel just for kicks, dried crimson on dull blades, half smiles, just beating and beating until the world stops, no conscience, half empty wine bottles, impersonal offices, a face that doesn’t quite match his demeanor.

HOGWARTS YEARS:

Was a hat stall between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. 

patience/loyalty/dedication vs self preservation/resourcefulness/dedication mostly.

At Hogwarts, Amycus felt in power for the first time. Ended up becoming the aggressor, finding solace in pain and violence. Found that he was good at inflicting pain, and liked being good at SOMETHING. Had never really felt that before. :/

Eventually got a taste for blood, and started getting into fights with other students, each run in more violent than the next.

STILL, did not end up in detention, because for a while, the teachers couldn’t believe that someone like Amycus ( who was mostly known for being very quiet and looking sweet ) would hurt another student. It would take for him to eventually get caught in the act, until that perception shattered.

Was that kid who used bugs and insects to practice unforgivable curses on. Eventually progressed to torturing students as well.

Excelled in charms, and can do wonders with a wand when he puts his mind to it. Most other grades were pretty shit though. 

AFTER HOGWARTS:

Once he graduated from Hogwarts, he was meant to take his place in the Carrow dynasty ( grandfather somehow STILL believing that he would come to his senses ), but fuck that. So he basically left the country as fast as possible, and became a cursebreaker.

Which just made sense, because he has always been good at inflicting curses, and breaking them isn’t that different. He is very good at what he does.

First few years were spent working in ancient tombs abroad, mostly. That kind of work fit him really well, because he could wear whatever he wanted, didn’t have to talk to people too much, could do his own thing. Was also always someone around to beat up.

After a while, he started missing his sister, and returned home, where he found work at the ministry of magic. Today, he works for the removal of curses, jinxes and hexes office, which is a subdivision for the improper use of magic office. 

Really likes his job? BUT. Also has a #second job.

On the side, he’s sort of a gun ( wand ) for hire, and will kill anyone who needs to be killed, for a price. Gives zero shit about the money though ( but the client needs to be rich, ya feel ).

Most of his clients are members of the sacred 28, who somehow always seem to want SOMEONE dead.

Honestly, I haven’t 100% figured out how he conducts this business because obviously he wants to remain anonymous. He probably has some sort of dramatic way of getting people to give him names that need to die idk. #to be determined

Joined the Death Eaters mostly because of his sister? But their agenda also really fits him, because violence? Bigotry? Death? Sign him tf up.

He isn’t the most invested in the whole pureblood supremacy thing ( but would he ever admit that? that’s a no ), but overall likes Voldemort and what he stands for.

Though he’s also lowkey intimidated by / afraid of Voldemort and is quite pleased with the fact that he doesn’t have to report directly to him.

For the Death Eaters, Amycus mostly works as an information gatherer, which is basically just a euphemism for him being one of their main torturers, who will torture people until they tell him whatever it is the Death Eaters want to know. He usually works together with his sister and they are disturbingly good at what they do.

AS A PERSON:

Cares very little for most people and is so so so selfish.

Lacks most of the finesse of his sister, tbh.

100% neutral evil. Kind of has a moral compass, it just points in the wrong direction at all times? Mostly just does whatever is best for him and Alecto though, and has zero interest in any righteous bullshit.

Does he think that he’s doing the right thing? Nope. He’s well aware that he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A bad dude.  Does he care? Also no.

Might just be the most private person you’ll ever meet? He seldom reveals anything about himself, and when he does, it’s usually not true.

Will also lie about the dumbest and smallest of details.

SO self disciplined. Always in complete control, and it’s very hard to get a genuine reaction / rise out of him. Also so so so patient, and is happy to wait for whatever his current end game is.

Drinks and smokes heavily, but doesn’t personally think that he has a problem.

Mostly just a dumb asshole.

Thrives off violence and is a total brute tbh.

Never fucking does what anyone tells him to do.

But then again, others will probably think he’s just cold af.

Looks a lot nicer than he is, which works to his advantage most of the time? Like he just looks like a nerdy, good dude. Is a total demon, but looks like an angel.

Wears glasses (x), but somehow manages to fucking break them ALL THE TIME. The only thing keeping them together is magic.

Wears mostly wizard suits for work ( bc he has to :/ ), but will wear those long black robes in his free time. Think a vampire cape, flying in the wind. Ultimate drama. He really is THAT guy.

Will also wear stupid wizard band t-shirts a lot when working.

Keeps his hair short.

Like 70% of his wealth is probably spent on buying new clothes, because he keeps fucking ruining them by getting blood on them? Or just having them ripped to shreds in a fight, that works too.

So today's been way more eventful! I've had a great conversation with Jennet finally & got caught up on all the live night stuff, thought it was just a live competition that I wasn't able to attend but then I woke up to Ethan being gone LMAO but oh well! I know in my last confessional I said I was close with Ethan. After I wrote that, I realized that he was a lot closer with other people than he was with me. Lindsay accidentally added him to an alliance chat and I expected him to freak out in my DMs (or at the very least ask me about it!) since we're supposed to be such good allies. But he didn't say anything! Shane said that he did get an Ethan freakout so I was like hmm... noted. Ethan likes Shane more than me so I am okay to vote him out a lot earlier than I was planning. Ethan also left out a LOT of information about the idols when we talked about them so I instantly knew at merge that he was hiding things from me. When we did that round robin conversation thing, I got Shane early on (I think he was the third person I talked to?) and he pitched voting Ethan which made a lot of sense to me. Plus I was a little worried Ethan could have had the Furcifer idol since he found that Brookesia one so fast. I figured if we were going to make a big move, that was the time to do it because if anyone was suspicious I could just pretend the whirlwind nature of the round was the reason they didn't know what happened. Speaking of idols!!! I'm 95% sure that Furcifer idol is in Sam's pocket. Shane had a vote extort power which he could play on anyone; it would force them to either reveal their entire voting history to this mysterious person OR they would have to give up their vote and sit out of immunity. I guess the vote part isn't public but the immunity part was and for some reason, Sam chose to not reveal his voting history. To Shane and Daisy, who don't know how the idols worked, this is a weird choice. But to me there's only one reason someone doesn't want their voting history revealed and it's because they didn't vote at a tribal which means they have an idol. Shane originally wanted to play the power on Mikey which I strongly did not want because 1) I already know how Mikey has voted and 2) I was pretty sure Mikey didn't have an idol so it's unlikely there was a tribal he didn't vote in and 3) If Mikey asked me about it, I didn't want to lie but I also didn't want to expose Shane. The question is.... does Sam's idol still work? If I had found the idol when I knew there was an easy boot on my team (he has to have found it before Pennino left), then I would have gambled as long as I could have to get the idol to work. My guess is Sam's idol goes until... f7? Maybe f6 or f5. Pennino probably left 3-1, not 4-1, but Sam's missing vote didn't matter because it was unanimous and wasn't read. For this round, right now everyone is probably voting Lovelis. It's the easy vote because he isn't here but personally I don't want to do that. Everyone says Lovelis is inactive but he isn't inactive to me and as far as I know, he is not going to flip on me and thinks I've been looking out for him. Which I have been! Also Lovelis cannot have an idol unless he somehow got the merge one. So to me it's like.... why not take out someone like Sam who (probably) has an idol? Or at least get him paranoid enough so he plays it. He seems like the kind of player who could easily stab me in the back so I'd like to get him before he gets me. Right now my tightest alliance is with Shane/Daisy, though I definitely talk about the game with Shane the most. However I also have good relationships with Lovelis, Sammy, and Mikey. I think Jennet and I are getting along well because as far as I know, I was the first one who told them Ethan's name was going around last time when everyone else seemed too afraid to tell them. They were not into that plan at all but I'm glad that I was honest with them because I don't want that to be a closed relationship at all! They also don’t seem to have a tonne of connections so they’re someone I'd like to keep close. And then Jones/Lindsay/Jake are people who I'm still getting to know but I do trust them.... a bit. I don't see that alliance of 6 lasting long term however I don't mind trying to stick with it to get Sam out before it disintegrates. I also think Shane is coming across as a threat which is great to me. I hope people don't think we're close because I really want to keep that relationship hidden. My entire game is about having everyone think they're my #1 (or at least my #2 or #3) so that they are less likely to leak things I tell them, less likely to vote for me, and more likely to look out for me. Information is power so I try to be in a position where I'll get as much of it as I can. So far it is working! I think. This is truly an essay

so I feel like so much happened in this round? let's recap the live night and dive into our thoughts and feelings about where we are right now. So starting off after Madison is voted out, the plan throughout the day was to just vote out whoever stayed out of Madison/Lovelis, right? Okay so I go into this live event thinking that's the plan...not sweating...just chilling right? right okay so I get to talking to people and then I get in a chat with daisy who is my 3rd phone call? Then I hear of this plan to get rid of Ethan?? In my head I was like...blinks...okay so why are we doing this like what is the point y'all are being too complicated. So fast forward Ethan goes home. Then Jones lets me know there was a separate group made before tribal of Jake/Shane/Jones/Jess/Lindsay. Apparently all the people who voted Ethan? This actually pisses me off not gonna lie because I opened the door for a conversation hinting that I knew of a group to daisy/jess/Jake and none of them spilled to me. So I caught them in a lie and it lets me know that they are serious about that group of people and that alliance means something. I thought I was close to daisy and I thought she considered me her #1 ally but the info I have been getting really makes me trust her less. She was working on the idol/bridge with like so many other players which makes sense to how she was able to find so many powers. I feel used. She is close to Shane and it is obvious. I also 100% feel as if the Ethan plan was made before tribal or at least mentioned as an idea. I don't like the vibes I am getting from them and something has to change soon or I am gonna be finding myself in a rough patch. I told Jones about Daisy's powers to let Jones know that Daisy pretty much lied to Daisy about the street car ladies (sorry daisy I still love u but in the moment I felt used because I know ur bridge group is on like the late 30s and you didn't tell me). Daisy is playing the middle and I need to separate myself from her or at least break her and Shane up. She is using Shane as a shield. Also I was added to the justice league alliance and its so cute (Jones, Jennet, Mikey, Me, Sam) I love this group but I will say Sam is my weakest connection and I don't really have much trust in him? Hoping that will change in these upcoming rounds tho. Also, I told Jones about my vote block that lasts until final 5 which we could use to our advantage later in the game. I will be holding onto that as long as possible. The last major update other than me feeling somewhat left out of this "group" would be that Jess asked if I would be down to make a group after the vote of her/Jake/me/mikey which I would actually very much enjoy. Okay that is my longest confessional yet. I hope you enjoy. As of right now my top two allies are Jones/Mikey....Lowest on my trust rankings are Shane and Lindsay.

Blue blinks, wildly, at her best friend. “What?” she asks dumbly, even though she definitely heard what he had said.

“I’m going to my sister’s wedding, and my family thinks I have a girlfriend, so will you go with me and pretend? Please?”

Now she feels really stupid, because all she wants to say is, ‘What?’

Gansey, who’s laying on the couch with his head in his boyfriend’s lap, says, “Noah, I think Jane is a tad dumbfounded by your request.”

Henry chimes in, “Maybe you should say it a third time.”

Neither of them are helpful. Noah and Blue ignore them both.

Blue shakes her head. “Noah, your family knows me,” she says. “We’ve been best friends since high school.”

“Which is perfect,” he replies. “They won’t ask too many questions, like what you do or how we met. It’ll be fine.”

“I’d like to ask a question.” They all jump. None of them even knew Ronan was sitting on the steps there, like a ghost. “Why do they think you have a girlfriend, Czerny?”

Noah sighs. “My sisters are nosy and all they want is the best for me,” he says, then winces. “I may have told them I have a girlfriend to stop them from setting me up with girls.”

“Noah Czerny!” Ronan says, falsely upset. “I’m appalled!”

“It was Ronan’s idea,” Noah says flatly. Blue shoots Ronan a glare. Ronan just sneers.

Blue turns her attention back to the matter at hand. “What, exactly, would this entail?” she asks.

“We would just go to the wedding, talk to family members, and come home. Then, eventually, we have a fake breakup.” He thumbs over his shoulder to the couch. “Gansey and Henry would be there too.”

Henry nods. “Because it’s Gansey’s sister’s wedding as well, and he is in the wedding party also, it would be you and I.” He winks. “Your dream come true, Blue.”

She looks back to Noah, but he already has his eyes wide and sad. Oh, no. She can’t back out now, and he knows it. “Please, Blue?” he asks. “Just pretend to be my date. Nothing could go wrong.” She sighs and looks to Henry and Gansey, who are also giving her puppy eyes. From the step, Ronan spectates, looking bored. Oh, God. It’s going to be a long wedding.

That is how she ends up at the Gansey house - or, rather, estate - on a sunny Sunday morning in late March. She has her right arm hooked through Noah’s (which feels… oddly good) and her left holding her clutch. It’s already beyond awkward. When the brides are in two Vera Wang gowns, her fake date is in a thousand dollar tuxedo (as is Gansey), and she is in a twenty dollar dress from Macy’s, she feels a little out of place.

Mrs. Czerny comes running up, throwing her arms around Blue’s shoulders. “Oh, Blue, I’m so glad you could make it!” she says. “You look stunning.”

Blue feels as if this is a lie, but smiles warmly anyway. She always liked the Czerny family, even if they were a little too rich for their own good. “Thank you, Mrs. Czerny,” she says politely. “You’re looking lovely as well.”

And she does. She’s wearing a beautifully formfitting red dress, hugging her curves, and her makeup is done. Blue feels a momentary shame in her floral sundress, thinking perhaps she should have let Noah buy her that stupid gown she mentioned she loved so much. But she stands taller, upset with herself for such absurd thoughts, and just smiles brighter, taking Noah’s hand in her own.

Mrs. Czerny looks down at herself. “What, this old thing? I’ve hardly worn it before today, but I’ve gotten so many compliments I might just wear it again.” Blue knows she’ll never wear it again; she may even toss it. She squeezes Noah’s hand.

He squeaks and his mother turns to him. He smiles and says, “Hi, Mom.”

“Noah, darling!” She hugs him and kisses him on the cheek. Her lipstick, miraculously, doesn’t come off. Blue has half the mind to ask her where she got it, but waves the thought away, figuring it will be well out of her price range. Mrs. Czerny releases Noah and smiles down at him. “You look so happy, my dear.”

He blushes. Blue wonders if he’ll make it through lying for the whole night. “Thanks, Mom,” he murmurs.

She looks between him and Blue and smiles. “May I tell you something?” she asks. She isn’t really asking, because she’s really going to tell them anyway, but Blue nods all the same. “I am so glad that you two got together. I was beginning to think I would have to say something.” Blue glances over at Noah. His eyes are wide and mouth slightly ajar. He looks mortified. “I’ve known that Noah has been in love with you since high school and all - ”

“Mom!” Noah yelps. His voice is squeaky and high. Blue feels an odd mix of anxiety and amusement at this. “I have not.” He turns to Blue and repeats, “I have not.”

“What?” his mom says. “It isn’t embarrassing if it’s true, is it?”

Noah ducks his head and Blue snickers.

The rest of the day goes smoothly. Noah and Gansey are in the wedding, which leaves Blue, Henry, Ronan and Adam to sit on either side of the chapel (Adam and Ronan end up sitting on the Gansey side, so Blue grabs Henry and drags him to the Czerny side). The ceremony is simple and quick and Blue is thankful for it. The reception is in the Gansey’s garden, thankfully big enough to hold the hundreds of people invited. Blue sits at the family table, along with Noah and Henry and Gansey. (Adam has dragged Ronan off to their table, where they are seated with all of Helen’s friends.)

“Blue,” Agnes gushes, leaning across the round table to touch her hand. “I am so thrilled to see you here!”

Agnes has always been a total and complete sweetheart, and Blue smiles warmly at her. “Thanks, Aggie,” she says. “It’s good to see you too.”

But Aggie feels the need to continue. “I’m especially excited to see you with Noah. When he said he’d found a girlfriend I was wary, but seeing you here today was such a happy surprise!”

Mr. Czerny pipes up, “Oh, you’re right there, Aggie. Blue is a wonderful girl, I’m thrilled to see her here with Noah.”

Blue glances over to her “date;” he has his head resting on his forearms. To his left, Gansey has a hand on his shoulder and he and Henry, who is snickering rather loudly, are holding hands over the table. She turns back to Noah’s family and smiles politely.

“I was just saying that earlier,” Mrs. Czerny chimes in. “It is so good to see those two together after so long.” She chuckles and adds, “I remember when they were in high school and they first met; he’d come home and talk about how fantastic she was. ‘Blue’ this and ‘Blue’ that.” She touches Blue on her hand. “My apologies, dear, but it took me so long to figure out that the ‘Blue’ he spoke so fondly of was a girl!”

The whole family, and Blue, laughs. Noah just mutters something into his folded arms.

Blue opens her mouth to say something - anything - but there is static feedback and then the wedding planner is speaking into the microphone. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the wedding of Mrs. and Mrs. Czerny-Gansey.” The guests all clap, including Noah who raises his head from the table. After the clapping has faded, Blue grabs his hand and squeezes. Noah squeezes back.

“The brides are now going to dance for their first time as a married couple, but they would like to invite their guests to join them in dancing. Thank you!” Everyone claps again and as it fades, the music slowly turns on. Maggie and Helen look stunning; she is in awe of them. Slowly, other couples begin to join them on the floor. Ronan and Adam are first; then Mr. and Mrs. Gansey. Next to Noah, Gansey holds out his hand to Henry, who takes it and leads his date to the floor. Blue turns to Noah and smiles wickedly. “Dance with me?” she asks.

Noah looks struck dumb, but nods. She pulls on his hand she’s still holding, and they both stand and walk to the floor. She puts her arms around his shoulders and he puts his hands on her waist. They’re quiet for a moment, then she says, “Your family seems really happy we’re together.”

He sighs. “Sorry about them,” he mutters. “They’re… nosy.”

“They’re sweet,” she corrects. He shakes his head. They keep dancing and she asks, “Did you really talk about me that much?”

He blushes again and laughs. “Blue, you’re my best friend,” he says. “Of course I talk about you all the time.”

She smiles and he smiles. Then she leans in and kisses him. It’s soft and sweet and cold, because Noah is always cold. Then she pulls back. “Was that okay?” she asks.

He pauses and ponders this. Then he asks, “May we do it again, under non-fake dating pretenses?”

She nods. “We may.”

A smile blooms over his face, bright enough to outshine the sun. “Then it was perfect,” he replies.

okay so seventeen has like a million members (im kidding theyre 13 but when you first get into them it’s overwhelming to say the least)

i find it’s easiest to learn them by their units since it’s a clean and simple way to organize them !!!!!

we’ve got three units in seventeen: hip hop, vocal, and performance

each unit is responsible for a specific aspect, like the hip hop unit is in charge of writing the rap, the vocal unit writes their lyrics and woozi produces all their music, and lastly the performance unit creates all the choreography 

(remember that this is completely my opinion and things that i have noticed that makes it easier to tell them apart. if i make any mistakes pls feel free to correct me!! i am in no way an expert!!!!!!!!!!!) 

hip hop unit

- he’s the leader

- he’s like a father figure to the others since he’s the oldest and the leader

- treats the other members like his children, he’s so protective of them

- actually one of my fav leaders in kpop tbh

- he’s the one usually being an embarrassment

- like he’s a mess

- an embarrassing dad basically

- he’s pretty easy to tell apart looks-wise

- but he has tiny ears ????? they’re so cute

If you have to ask that question, then I do not think you understand the gravity of the situation.

Every country has political concerns, ours is a Prime Minister that keeps lying and keeps money in off-shore bank accounts so he doesn’t have to pay tax on it. Still, a slight step up from budgie-smuggler boy and his incredible feats of racism, misogyny, and onion-eating.

But the US tends to set a benchmark. America had Obama, during a time when the rest of the world was in chaos. Australia’s PM position was reduced to a game of musical chairs, the UK had the whole Brexit thing, human rights were being violated in other countries every second of every day and you don’ want to know what was happening to animals.

Obama, despite the blatantly racist haters, did a lot for that country; a lot that Trunk is now undoing, like a spiteful child that just moved into their cool older sibling’s room and immediately trashing anything that reminds them it was not theirs to begin with. Healthcare, human rights protections, unemployment decreasing, etc. And the man basically took over the presidency while everything was on fire; you know, like that one COMMUNITY gif, where the dude turned up with pizza for a party. 

He, and his family, were always under attack; but he still did his best to protect the citizens of the country. Overturning quite a few fucked up laws, and those are just the ones the rest of the world knew about. I have no doubt he got a few bills across his desk that he laughed at as he set them on fire; or the political equivalent.

Fast-forwards to now.

Apart from the fact the US has the weirdest fucking voting system ever, where the person with the most votes can still lose; and no one is legally required to vote, but has to register every election, which means that their votes can be discounted with ‘computing errors’. The country made a mistake.

The hypocrisy of not wanting a Jewish man with heaps of political experience, or a woman with years of political experience, for President... is telling; considering what you elected anyway. I was very loud then, too.  Why? Because it was blatantly obvious to everyone from the outside how dangerous the Repubic-lican candidate(s) were and are. Think of it like standing on the beach, noticing a shark heading towards the surfers; you are calling out, “Look, there’s a fucking shark, move your ass mate!”, and only a few of them decide to swim in. The rest tell you that the shark has the right to be there, and that the shore’s emails are probably more of a problem. 

It was seriously concerning how many people were pro-Repub, pro-trunk. How they could not hear what he was saying; not understand that the rest of the world saw him as one hell of a dangerous practical joke being played on you all. And he was a joke, right up until he was elected and people realised, ‘Well fuck, he’s a problem now that he’s infringing on our white rights?’. 

Which the POC, LGBPTA+, disabled, and other communities could have told you from the start. (Which is why it’s so confusing to see people still at his rallies with ‘Women for Trunk’ and ‘Blacks for Trunk!’ signs... do you not know what he’s doing or are you getting paid?)

And the worst part is that if you remove this man, it’s like a matroyshka doll of bad decisions, trying to replace him. You have the ‘let’s electrocute the gays straight’ Pence, next in line... and he’s the tip of the racist/misogynistic/homophobic conservative iceburg, right? Everyone else after that is equally problematic.

He bragged on live tv that he doesn’t pay taxes... like, at what point does your privilege run out?

Average peopl would fail to file taxes one year and lose everything. But not Trunk, oh no.

The man in charge of everything, not only has no actual understanding of what he’s doing or basic legislative powers... but he’s a god-damned pedophile, racist, rapist, scam/conartist, and probably a dozen other things we don’t know about because he’s papered over it with money nd fancy lawyers.

His 13yr old victim had to give up prosecuting the injustice done against her, bc people were sending her death threats on his behalf. The man bought beauty pageants to perv on the women involved; and has groped people inappropriately, then joked about it on stage.

What he did to his former wives is horrific; and he used gag orders to keep them quiet.

The fact he, not only mocked a disabled reporter so disrespectfully to the sound of Repubic-lican applause... but ALSO bragged he could kill someone in the middle of a public street and get away with it??? to further applause??? That has so many red flags, it’s hard to understand why people still supported him?

The amount of lawsuits against him, for his various scams and cons, was ridiculously high. There are multiple stories (with evidence) of this man taking advantage of businesses and ruining them.

‘A businessman is exactly what america needs!’ THE MAN BANKRUPTED A CASINO. How do you do that? Also, he was given a million dollars and the business to start with; like, he’s pretty much done nothing except open a string of failed side businesses, and fucked them up. 

And he believes ‘hard work will get you places’ ironically.

He doesn’t like poor people, and yet a lot of his constituents make up the demographic of people living near or below minimum wage. He doesn’t believe in universal healthcare; Obamacare/ACA is close enough to our Medicare system, and it keeps us alive. It’s imperative to the functioning of such a large country? but he doesn’t like the idea of it taking money from the government.

Not to mention, the man flat-out stated he would refuse to use existing services (white house, security), meaning that he’d found a loophole wherein he could pay himself millions of dollars a fucking day in order to be President. The security, trunk tower, etc.

And he claims his business has an impartial trust board in place, to make certain he can’t be accused of financial interests contrary to those of the american people... but, whoops, that’s not happening. Not to mention he came right out and was using his presidential platform to bitch about Nordstrom dropping his daughter’s brand. Commercial interest, much?

What did he have on Hillary? Emails. She and her staff used private emails to send a few political memos, some fucking lolcat memes, and more than one altruistic email about rendering aid to someone. And apparently that made her shadier than him??? Since he was elected, the presidonk went out of his way to tweet from his private account, his entire staff (and wasn’t hiring a debacle?) uses private emails to send important messages, and he has a very strong online presence which seems counter-intuitive to retaining some degree of secrecy. (E.g. as seen by the man taking a classified briefing at a dinner party, wherein people had the opportunity to freaking get photos of the secret service members and documents). 

The WALL. He said he was going to build a big wall, and make the people he was keeping out, pay for it. And people felt that was a stroke of genius. ??????????????? 

Claiming he would ‘ban all Muslims’. By which he clearly meant, ‘anyone who is any shade of brown or black, because I don’t know what a Muslim is, but I sure don’t like them’. People during segregation would probably side-eye this man for his odd views; also probs bc he’s perpetually orange.

The russia affair.  Everyone with two brain cells to rub together can see something shady af is happening there. There’s a connection, there were long-standing deals, and suddenly russia hacks election results? Like... it makes total sense. Trunk is like a parody or himself, a big old puppet that any world leader could manipulate with the right words. And what an opportunity, for whomsoever got their words in his ear first.

Not to mention the whole #AlternativeFacts bullshit.  Dude can’t lie well; small children are more plausible.

And now? He’s chosen a series of terrible people for the most inappropriate positions possible. The Education Minister believes kids should work instead, and has no idea how the education system works at all. The head of security fucked up so bad he had to resign within a fortnight of employment.

He fired the Attorney General for DOING HER JOB.

The CIA don’t want to tell Trunk anything, bc they know he’ll have a long dreamy phonecall with his russian bff.

He’s got a defence minister out there threatening to leave NATO, unless other countries put more effort into a war no one wants.

He’s antagonised hostile countries.

Why should people who are not american care?

It does affect us to a certain degree, but the reality is... this is a thing that’s happening right now, to people, and none of them can leave. It’s called empathy, it’s called keeping a spotlight on him, and exposing the shady shit he’s up to. 

Hitler was a joke, until things got real. 

The difference was that social media and the internet didn’t exist. People got their information from specific hitler-approved media (you know, how trunk wants everyone to get news from him and fox alone?), but today... there are hundreds of thousands of eyewitnesses to everything. They can reach out and share it with the rest of the world, who are paying attention. He can’t make shit up without a thousand voices + downcrying it as the falsehood it was. There is global opposition to his nonsense, and it sends a message. 

He’s not getting away with what he wants to do. He can try. But history has its eyes on him; and so does the world.

It is important to be vocal about it, to never let him forget that he can buy people to shout at his rallies, but people around the world and in his country, KNOW the shit he’s up to. Know what he is.

Right down to the second he makes a bad decision, the world will know. Because social media exists, because vigilant people exist and can mobilise. Did you see the Women’s March? That was the power of being loud, being organised, being ready to respond. That’s a good example of why it matters.

As long as people are suffering, someone should be paying attention, drawing attention, and seeking ways to help. In the US, in other countries that have far worse happening; and many do. But for now, the reality is that a world powerhouse has a foolish, dangerous man at the helm; who is making everyone nervous as to what ridiculous thing he will do next.

To answer your question: No, I cannot vote in a US election, but I sure as hell can try to influence the perceptions of those who live there and follow me, provide resources to help them cope when some ridiculous edict he makes stresses them out, and remind the rest of the world what is going on. 

What is happening is not normal, and sometimes you need an external contrast to perceive that. E.g. when you work with clients in DV situations, their perception of ‘normal’ is skewed to mean ‘whatever the abuser has normalised’... rather than what societal perceptions of normality entail. 

What all dictators want is for complete control, taken through manipulation and people having their rebellious thoughts burned out into weary resignation.

TL;DR - History is watching us, waiting to see what happens, and every dissenting voice from any corner of the globe adds to the resistance. Especially if their goal is to support and empower the people directly facing the danger on a daily basis.

Ended up switching to Allstate who has been charging me $90 a month (better than $140 right?).....6 months go by, everything's cool.....now my policy renewal is coming up and they're trying to tell me i need to pay $160 a month for their basic insurance. Are you kidding me? And according to them it's another STATEWIDE INSURANCE INCREASE ...... They also told me that it could be due to not having CONSECUTIVE insurance for the last few years, as in...I switched from State Farm to Unitrin to Allstate......they told me call the state insurance commissioner...which I did.... Got connected to some guy in Gainesville who tells me that the INSURANCE companies are the ones who decide the rates and increases...not them. Pretty much BS....Allstate's blaming the state, state's blaming them...feels like a huge runaround to me. Guess my questions are.... My 22 yr old sons car was repossessed. He cancelled his car insurance policy since he no longer owns a car. He was required to carry an SR22 because of a bad driving record. The California DMV will suspend his license if he does not have proof of car insurance. Hes not driving and plans to not own a vehicle for the next 6 months. Amycus Abigor Carrow is the first born child of the Carrow dynasty. His father named him after the prince of hell, in the hopes that his son would prove himself worthy of the name. Amycus would, but not in the way his father had hoped.

As a child, Amycus was very quiet. Mostly kept to himself and his sister. Never harmed a fly. 

Amycus was the product of a loveless marriage, based on pureblood politics. His parents couldn’t stand each other, and were each other’s polar opposites. Amycus would later realize that they were doomed from the start.

child abuse tw:// Amycus’ father was a cold business man, and was not very interested in being a father to Amycus. He mostly made excuses to be as far away from the family life as possible. 

So Amycus was left to his grandfather, a man that put great emphasis on pain ( believing it was the only way that Amycus would learn and become stronger ). Lessons were drilled in with corporal punishment, and the emotional and physical abuse he suffered at the hands of his father would eventually break him down into something colder and darker. Feelings were deemed weak, and had to be firmly repressed - which would leave behind a shell of a boy. 

Gained a definite rebellious streak during his teenage years, and would do EVERYTHING and anything to fuck with his dad.

Eventually moved out, at the age of 15. Figured either he’d move out or kill his father, and settled on the former.

Remaining summers were spent living at the Hog’s Head Inn.

The Carrow family did not want to air their dirty laundry to the world, so they never formally denounced Amycus. Most other pureblood families know that they had a falling out though.

Alecto is his other half, and they come as a matching set. Without her, he feels incomplete, and she’s also the only person who truly knows him. 

MAIN CHANGES FROM THE PREVIOUS AMYCUS’ TIMELINE:

Main thing probably is that he is more refined. More dangerous. Still pretty fucking dumb, but less rough around the edges. Also has more self control which is good for him!!!

Still a brickwall in terms of sharing (always so private), but way more polite? More controlled, less crude. Instead of just grunting in reply, homeboy might try to actually act like a human being. So definitively less gruff.

Also can’t just typecast him as ‘ hm this is probably a pretty bad dude ‘ when first meeting him anymore so that's kinda problematic :/ May cause some issues :/

AESTHETIC / VIBES:

HOGWARTS YEARS:

Was a hat stall between Slytherin and surprisingly enough, Hufflepuff. But his sister was sorted into Slytherin, and Amycus won’t go anywhere without his twin.

With the Slytherins, he found a new home, far away from his grandfather.

I would say that he is not exactly book smart, and he got pretty shit grades while at the school. The one subject where he really excelled was charms, but he also did all right in transfigurations and herbology.

Is more muscle than brains, most of the time tbh.

At the age of fifteen, Amycus stopped going back to his family home. He was becoming strong enough (from years of fighting) to challenge his father, and decided to just drop all contact. Today, he only sees his dad at the occasional pureblood party / event, where he ignores him.

Did not spend a lot of time in detention, despite all the fighting? Was that prick who got away with a lot because of his angel face. Eventually, teachers caught on though and Amycus got into his fair share of trouble as well ( most definitively became viewed as a Disturbed Child™ ).

During his time at the school, he earned some extra cash from doing odd jobs ( which mostly entailed torturing specific students per request ).

His electives at the school were: alchemy, care of magical creatures and divination. He was in no clubs at the school.

AFTER HOGWARTS:

Became a curse breaker soon after graduating.

First few years were spent abroad, working in tombs for Gringotts, recovering lost artifacts and breaking ancient curses.

Eventually, he made his way back home, and found work for the ministry. He works at the office for the removal of curses, jinxes and hexes, which is a subdivision of the improper use of magic office.

Unfortunately for him, this means that he has to work with a lot of other divisions. He hates it.

His day job as a curse breaker is sort of a disguise for what he considers to be his real job? He’s sort of a gun ( wand ) for hire, and will kill anyone who needs to be killed, for a price. Though the money really doesn’t matter all that much to him? 

Most of his clients are members of the sacred 28, who always want SOMEONE dead.

Kind of just aligned himself with the Death Eaters because 1. they have a more violent agenda 2. his sister.

Amycus isn’t the most invested in the whole pureblood supremacy thing ( though he’d never admit that ), but overall likes Voldemort and what he stands for.

Definitively fears Voldemort, and is quite happy that he’s not directly reporting to him.

Amycus mainly works for the Death Eaters as an information gatherer, which basically is just a nicer way to say that he tortures people until they tell him whatever they know. He’s disturbingly good at it, and usually works together with his sister.

AS A PERSON:

Doesn’t give a single fuck about anyone that isn’t himself or his sister.

NEUTRAL EVIL.

SO self disciplined. Always in complete control, and it’s very hard to get a genuine reaction / rise out of him. Also so so so patient, and is happy to wait for whatever his current end game is.
