I like to think the Watchers stopped the curse with the intention that Lizzie and Mumbo would be considered for the 2nd ones killed after Jimmy in their respective series.
Except no one wants Jimmy dead first - it's unfair, it's cruel, it's wrong. Well then, what happens without a canary? No warning, no hesitation, just sudden unexpected death.
And it's their own damned faults for not using the canary.

#out of the 8 people i share a kitchen with i am good friends with 2 of them and they do not cook#and i’m friends with another one of them and while she DOES cook we were flatmates last year so i know she is meticulously clean#and therefore not to blame here#THE OTHER FIVE. When i CATCH YOU!!!!#our kitchen is very small so i do not begrudge the fact that a lot of our counter space#is taken up by clean pots/pans bc there’s not enough cabinets for everyone#what i DO BEGRUDGE#is people leaving their DIRTY FUCKING PANS#full of DIRTY USED OIL#on the counter!!!!#at least give it a RINSE!!!#my friend came to my room a few days ago and i sent her to the kitchen to get something#and when she came back she was like Cee. #like…. no one is happy rn 😭#and though Aegon cares about his children enough to send them away.. the way he feels about his kids is different than how reader feels#it’s sort of an Alicent like situation with him. he loves his kids but they are a constant reminder of a situation he does not like#the switch that has been flipped makes things messy bc though reader probably in the back of her head knew it would come#to blows.. she also was probably the only person who respected Aegon’s honestly when he said he doesn’t want the throne#but now her kids are involved… and doesn’t play about them. she couldn’t care less about what he wants now 😭
