So, Deteriorating Waters Heart went to the hospital at one point via being stabbed with Soul's Trident, and I was doing my daily pacing-in-my-front-yard-imagining-myself-answering-a-Q&A-as-if-I-was-famous, yeah? (Well, except this time I was imagining DW Heart was real and he was being interviewed by my fanbase, my fantasies get pretty wild.)

I imagined DW Heart would have an adult version of Gruelling Duty in his universe…

…what's Gruelling Duty? Well, in the Pillow Club universe, Gruelling Duty is a cartoon about superheroes in Hawaii of all kinds of species in the Pillow Club universe, all in one place, as if they all evolved together as one in the same environment.

This is also where the fictional "God-Killer" concept was first used in the Pillow Club universe; at first, it was only told in mythology of gradient sticks (a type of stick figure from one of my original stories), but it quickly became a trope in the PC universe instead, similar to how things like zombies or mummies are taken from mythologies or cultures and pop culture-ified.

But that's besides the point; I had the idea that in Deteriorating Waters, yk, Pillow Club but edgier, that Gruelling Duty is instead an adult animated show, to reflect how DW is an adult series instead of the children's series that PC is.

Which leads me to my idea that DW Heart, who was a """""freshmen""""" (heavy quotations bc DW takes place in Iceland but has intentionally (in a bad way) very American-based societal structure), so like around fourteen-fifteen for his species due to weird Axon-species-workings, wouldn't be allowed to watch an adult show in the hospital.

Instead, I imagine that DW Heart, with three big holes in his belly rapidly gushing out acidic blood, half-conscious probably hooked up to a lot of things and too weak to hold his phone to tell his friends he doesn't know when he'll be back, or even tell them he's gone at all, away from home for weeks and cut off from the outside world with the corrupt healthcare system of the Deteriorating Waters universe, had to watch propaganda young children's cartoons teaching him that he's a cuck for not having magic and deserves to be working class and have a fraction of human rights in the most condescending way possible for all those agonising days he thought his insides would spill right out of his torso.

RELG 224 is a working title (the full title in my doc rn is "RELG 224 - [insert more here]") for the CodWan Week Modern AU: Teacher/University/Academia prompt. They're both professors in the religious studies department; Obi-Wan teaches classes about mindfulness and meditation, and Cody teaches about religions of Polynesia and the Pacific Islands, with a specialty in Māori mythology. It's a small school and they're both new adjuncts, and the department admin made an error when designing the schedule for the lone adjunct office, so they end up double booked for office hours...and there's only one desk. Mutual pining ensues.

for a while on here i feel like “race in bio” was seen as an important disclosure, like kind of a ~privilege acknowledgement~ thing?

Since I've already been informed of this in a reply, I'm just gonna use this to talk more abt it lol.

It's very whatever as like something not reinforced as a social more but lmao if it was, it would be such a fucking mess bc it does assume a lot about the idea of race e.g., what constitutes as relevant information in defining one's race and how racial privilege differs within different contexts. then, there's the whole issue of "whiteness" and by extension, the modern conception of race within the so-called 'west' (also a vague idea) as it exists as a result of colonialism and how an idea of a broader whiteness is far more potent in contexts like that of the United States wherein not just the history but the national mythology involves racialism in that colonial sense. So now, in a world where the States is the dominant cultural force, there's a whole other dimension to treating this understanding of race as universal rather than culturally contingent. Even the idea to denote race is very American to me because I think that Americans see race as such a primary part of identity because of their history and national mythology which informs their contemporary social world in both an informal and formal institutional way. It would be very funny if people started writing their like, class or something or fuck, their wage or salary in their bio. Like, what if?

The other thing about this is that like, people could lie about their race and you just have to go off good faith which is like... okay it's funny tbh. I think, though, my bad faith or cynical assumptions about this were as kind of an embarassing and pathetic "white guilt" thing. I'm not saying I still think that and y'know, at least I never thought of it as people doing it in bad faith. Again, it's a non issue becausr this isn't treated like a norm but, it's just interesting how people decide to define themselves publically and what the implications, intentional or otherwise are.

and OMG my thoughts. okay, I decided like, ten minutes ago that tomorrow I'm actually gonna post my whole lengthy thing of what I want out of s3, but!! here are some of my random thoughts that have been plaguing my brain:

starting off strong with the first thing I saw when I opened my notes app - this random idea that I had for a wilmon au: wille and simon as orpheus and eurydice. I got this idea bc I saw one of those "no one would sit at my grave" "he would" edits that are making the rounds on tiktok, and all the comments were saying "wille would follow simon to the grave" etc etc. and bc I'm a greek mythology nerd, my mind immediately went to the myths and then I was like "omfgs orpheus and eurydice." I can't decide who I want to be who bc on one hand there's simon who is clearly the musician out of the two. on the other hand I have this vivid image of wille going to the underworld and begging to save simon, willing to do literally anything to get the love of his life back

sticking on the greek mythology track for a sec (apologies, this probably wasn't what you were expecting, but I was one of the first members of my high school's greek myths club for a reason) - I love thinking up aus, and in a world where greek gods and young royals coexisted in the same universe, simon is 100% the son of apollo. like are you kidding me??? the sun was made for omar (and simon by default) (yes this is inspired by omar's insta pic)

pov outsider is like, one of my favorite things ever. in every fandom I'm in I inevitably search for it on ao3. and so I just love thinking abt what the people around simon and wille are thinking - like what do rosh and ayub see when they look at wille and simon???? they see their best friend who is strong in his beliefs against the upper class somehow being wooed by the prince of all people, then they see said prince break his heart, and then months later after they try to convince their bestie to move on, said prince is on national television basically proclaiming his love for their bestie. like I want to know what they were thinking!!! I want to see into their minds. I wanna know if they were somewhere like idk, maybe their school was broadcasting the thing or smth (idk what time of day it was sorry), and they don't wanna watch bc fuck him, he hurt their best friend, but then???? he turns around and takes back control of his own story and says no to harmful and empty traditions???? like if I was them I'd be losing my shit, full on what the fuck mode and texting simon to tell me everything bc I need to know what's happening

I also want to see into the minds of the average hillerska student. like they had front row seats to the Drama that is wille and simon - what were they thinking whenever their prince and that non res kid slipped into the music room together??? when simon nailed wille w the ball and the most reaction anyone had was the guy who was clapping behind simon??? what did the choir thinking when simon led wille away??? (bc they have to have the best seats in the house - they've been humming along to simons love song for wille for a while now, they gotta know it all, lmao). basically these pov outsider thoughts aren't fully fleshed out, but they rattle around my brain all the time and I'm always here wondering what people are thinking

something I want in s3 that's probably gonna be on my list: simon getting the fucking respect he deserves. like out of everyone at that school, wille is the one who respects him the most. wille was the first one to look past his societal labels and see the brilliant, shining boy that simon is. and yeah they've been dealing with all their shit so that distracted from it, but now that they're out, that there's no more hiding (they're stepping into the light skxjsj) - even w all that, I highly doubt that the majority of the hillerska population will give up their prejudices just like that. so I'm expecting to see students be kinda nasty, like I wouldn't be surprised if vincent ramps up his douchebaggery in s3 bc he's an elitist asshole. and bc I'm expecting that to happen, I'm also expecting wille to snap at anyone who tries to belittle simon, laying down the groundwork for simon to have his footing w all those rich kids and stand up for himself. idk, I just really want simon to be respected at school at the very least, bc we all know that the royal court ain't gonna be respecting him

I have a lot of vague fic ideas that I wanna flesh out, so hopefully I'll get the brain power to do that during winter break. some of those ideas are: a pov outsider from krissy's pov set in a hypothetical s3 where simon and wille are at the palace. they've just had a tense meal that was after an intense royal court meeting, and miss ma'am is frustrated. she goes on a walk to clear her head, only to end up hiding behind a corner bc there's wilhelm and his boyfriend, standing in the gardens under the moonlight. and she doesn't know why she doesn't immediately step up and make her presence known - maybe it's because she wants to understand why her son is so willing to throw everything away for that boy, or maybe it's because now, bathed in the moonlight, is the first time she's seen her son genuinely smile in over a year. it's the first time she's ever heard him giggle like that since he was a child being chased by erik, and it's all because of that boy who helped cause all this trouble. and it goes on and she eventually leaves but gets an appreciation for the way her son is never more alive than when he's with simon. I'm tentative abt writing this bc I haven't written in krissy's pov, but who knows. my OTHER idea I came up w like, after I finished s2 and had to silently freak out bc I was stupid and finished the show in the middle of a lecture hall😭 basically I wanna write all these times simon thought "I love you" but never said it and the times he finally does - I have another page in my notes app for when those moments should be, and who knows! maybe I'll write them one day

another thing I wanna write that's completely out of left field: just inserting magic of some kind or another into the yr universe. I have a bad habit of making everything magical bc thats where my eternal brainrot lies, so. if anyone wants to see that, hmu and I'll share some of my many ideas w the yr universe and magic (this includes many crossovers bc I'm also really bad at stopping myself from crossing over all my fandoms in some way shape or form)

apparently zoe’s friend coined the phrase “slavaboo” to describe the strange subsection of people who are a little too obsessed with communism and the ussr, call each other comrade, joke about gulags, and pretend to have slavic accents, etc. u know. people who are superficially interested in slavs without knowing anything about slavic culture or history. they took the form of annoying white american boys throughout high school for me and would mansplain to me (incorrectly) about MY culture and history as if their terrible fake russian accent that they put on for kicks trumps my years of being an actual serb. now its tiktok girlies wearing ushankas and making really uncomfortable content about communism and eastern block “aesthetic”.

like on the one hand ushankas are just hats and im really not interested in gatekeeping my culture bc ive always wanted to share it, but tbh what pisses me off is that these ppl ARENT interested in the culture. ill always think back on that post abt cultural appropriation i saw a few years ago, that rightly challenged white ppl pulling elements of poc culture into their lives without first understanding the cultural significance. but that post then turned around and recommended aspects of european culture, specifically slavic and eastern european, that white ppl could use instead (folkwear and holidays), and that pissed me off.

in my balkan class we learned that eastern europe, particularly the balkans, are viewed as europe lite. it’s a strange place to be because obviously were white. thats just a fact. but western europeans view us as savages, uncivilized, a barbaric and war-torn land of backwards people. the first day of class my professor asked us to tell us words we associated with the balkans and GOD DAMN was there plenty of orientalism in that american university classroom. for most of our history we’ve barely been considered europe. our relationship with the word “europe” is so complex and difficult to properly explain. western europe doesnt consider us europe bc were not on their level. so getting grouped in like that, having someone outside of that group give other white people permission to “use” our culture with the same cavalier attitude that they would appropriate poc culture? its UNPLEASANT. i dont like it.

i guess what im trying to say is that knowing about russian war tanks and pilots is cool and all. gushing about eastern bloc architecture and wearing ushankas is fun. but slavic history is a big mess, torn between wanting to be part of the civilized “europe” but also not wanting to reject our specific culture (like the conflict between westernizers and slavophiles in russian history).

im thinking about the heartbreak of telling classmates and friends that i was slavic but having them be more interested in my barebones knowledge of russian history and culture rather than asking me about my serbian culture. that all i was to them was an excuse to talk about the soviet union or the warsaw pact when my country was never even a part of either. they’d get grossed out by the food i brought to school, demonstrate no interest in my culture at all. id watch their eyes glaze over when i excitedly asked them if they wanted me to write their name in cyrillic or teach them serbian phrases... its all so surface level and vapid. tbh really cringe. thats what yall are. cringe. using ur stupid fake slavic accents, calling each other comrades, making jokes about the ussr and gulags as if theres any humor to be found in a gulag. sickening behavior.

i WANT people to be interested in my culture but i want them to appreciate it. i dont want them pulling aspects that they can use for the aesthetic, or for them to oversimplify slavic history or make jokes about the ussr or gulags. i want them learning about folklore and mythology, actually listening to our music (and maybe actual folk music, not just the russian techno ppl like). look at our art, our stories. we have a rich and vibrant and varied culture with many influences. its not all blank cement buildings and ushankas. we have a lot of beautiful culture to offer and it pisses me off how ppl dismiss it.

So I made a college/highschool Fionna and Cake au.

Aka hear me talk of my au--and ART :D

There's some design stuff I've made Prismo, Gary, Fiona, etc. the idea is they live in a semi-magical world run by gods and everyone goes to school to either study the world like on real school or to learn how to do a magical job for all.im calling it wishcollege au bc I called it that when I was working on prismo's idea he is going to this college to learn to become a wishmaster

he's just an intern/ wish trainee rn. The Valerian wish college is run by Principle Scarab or- Principle Devon Nolan is their first name but it's all fake. Valerian Is a plant w flower that treats ocd symptoms, migraines, hyperactivity,, and. But also bears pin/white/magenta flowers that attract insects. I thought it's be fitting. He's a pic from Prismo's PG in my sketchbook:

Now the highschool, Valerian highschool is run by Gary Schmitt-bubblegum whose been around practically forever. Prismo goes here too bc they're still in HS and just duel enrolling, they're in HS bc they show no ambition but in college bc they seem extremely excited and ahead of your wisher peers when it comes to wishmaster training specifically. There's still over 17,650 yrs, an adult I suppose although still sorta teen. Studies a few thingsHe also has an interest in band and plant biology but wishmaster is their career. And here's one of Principle of college, Scarab/Nolan Earl m.p. Devon: he just hates his job being stuck as a college professors full time. When he was taught he showed interest in what he was learning but was forced into being someone that taught the same exact thing instead doing it himself. He feels betrayed but too lawful (bc in the human realm he does have follow citizenship standards and laws) to do anything heinous about it. He's mostly demon part pure light but not in story sense in a biological sense made of light instead of other actual matter particles. Of course Prismo is part Demon too so they somewhat find common ground but Prismo got too invested in career and doesn't care about that phase. The scarabs a bit of an ol' grump. The only class he teaches himself is the materialization of wishes through light formation class (long name obviously not what they call the class fr xd) which is what they majored in and excelled. He was too authoritative to be a wishgranter so a prof and principal is great. They get into run-ins with Prismo or Raj lots bc it cares about her studies but not her school's rules. Nolan doesn't place much concern on this, views Prismo as a headache and silly but not a threat. Fun, they are buds though as time moves on and his grades improve too (iykwim -jk im jk) .

Professors for highschool I know are: -Bubblegum, not Gary but we have a few repeats from AT as well FAC universes bc they're combined on this one alternate world based upon a more modern Ooo. So Bubblegum teaches bioscience and in college as well as HS the botany club/class! :D -Marcy is a band instructor but also substitutes for botany class in high, Bonnie and Marcy are dating still.cx bc it's a good ship -Ellis P. Is band instructor as well he does brass since Marceline does woodwind and string

-Simon teaches wizardry and magical objects bc it's a mix of what they did as ice king, what they used to do, and what makes more sense in the universe am dplanet they're on. He'd obvi be a prof + when he was ice king I feel like he'd teach smthn as well such as like science behind temperature and stuffs. -Betty is also a teacher there and is partially still combined with Golb. She teaches mythology at first, then, science and magic behind love, then both but ends up taking up religious studies a lot when they get old. Simon and them are happily married but they both gets harassed at work alot

I say band but they have orchestra not band, that's for both college and HS that it's orchestra.

I’ve never been a percy Jackson girlie bc in middle school I refused to read them bc I was living my “I’m not gonna like that I’m not like other girls” era but I’d seen so much on my fyp about it so I had to start the books and lemme tell you Drea I’ve gotten sucked into them so much like I finish a book and immediately start the next they literally got me out of my reading slump I haven’t read this much in so long and I LOVE IT SM being sucked into these worlds to escape my life is my new coping mechanism

No bc I hadn’t read a book as a hobby since I was a sophomore in high school cause junior year is when all my AP classes started and i had bought the first book of Trials of Apollo back when it came out but never got to read it and I was cleaning up my shelf before our trip and saw it and was like u know what now that the semester’s over let me read this and I got sucked right back in!! I finished all 5 books in the span of the last 3 weeks KSNDNSNDNS

I’d forgotten how much I love Rick’s writing style and his humor and just how much I adore the characters 🥹 diving back into that universe has reminded me of how those books literally shaped my personality and my own writing so much it’s crazy SKDNSNSN

Also after you finish both of the Percy Jackson series, I definitely recommend you read his other stuff, starting with The Kane Chronicles, which is based off Egyptian mythology!! SOOOO GOOD DUDE!!!!! AND ITS ALSO GETTING MADE INTO A SHOW BY DISNEY+ JUST LIKE PJO!!!

He also has one with Norse mythology that I plan on reading next cause I also started it but never finished it but I remember loving!! And all of these series occur within the same universe, so he’s actually written short crossover stories between them, which I also have to catch up on!! And tbh I’ll probably reread PJO before the Disney series drops just so i have a refresh of it all AKMDNSMS

but yeah Rick is an amazing writer and all of his books def live up to the hype!!

Best Friend’s Brother AU

Hunter and Luz are siblings. Hunter was taken in before Luz was born

him and Luz fight. A lot. As siblings should

For reasons, the Nocedas move to Bonesborough just before Luz starts high school. Hunter's adaptable he doesn't care

their first day at Hexside, they split since he's 2 years older, and soon Luz becomes fast friends with treehugger Willow and eventually mythology-obsessed Gus

Hunter reluctantly gets befriended by the Blight twins. They're friends now, there's no escape

Hunter got his left ear pierced when he was in middle school. The pain traumatized him so it's just the left. Doesn't get more until 2nd year high school. Can't stand the idea of piercing his right tho. Not sure why

Now a solid friendship, Willow feels comfortable enough to visit Luz's house

Was NOT aware the cute but intimidating new student from school lives here and thinks she's got the wrong house

she doesn't. He welcomes her in, explaining Luz went out for a minute but should be back soon.

They're both pretty shy at first. On Willow's end, they've never talked and this boy is older, not to mention he seems to be friends with Amity's older siblings. Not the best line up. For Hunter, he's only seen her in passing, only heard Luz brag about "my bestie, Willow" this and that. Neither of them have much to go on, but this is his sister's best friend, this is her best friend's brother, and they are gonna make an effort because they love and care about Luz, and they understand getting along is important for her.

So they talk. Small talk, but they talk, slow and a bit awkward as teenagers are. "Oh, what track are you in?" "Into any sports?" "Whats your favorite color?"

Hunter hates small talk and meeting new people is terrifying; it's not so bad bc he recognizes Willow and it's only her, but she notices he's getting more nervous. She opts out of the conversation first, giving him a reassuring smile, "Sorry if I'm keeping you. I'll just wait here till Luz gets back."

And he is NOT having it. How dare this v cute girl come into his house, under his roof and be all considerate and accommodating??? No. No he will not be bested like this.

He waves her off and returns her smile, continuing the conversation with renewed vigor.

Luz returns just as Willow's starts going more in depth about her more exotic plants (she mentioned she has her own little green house at home and Hunter has never been more intrigued). She is v much elated to find her bro and best friend are getting along. Sadly, they have to end the conversation there, and as they part, Hunter going up to his room and Luz tugging Willow to the next room, they exchange a "Nice meeting you!" "You too. See you around..." but it's actually nice and both look forward to the next time.

While they don't hang out at school, they start talking in the halls whenever they pass each other. The Blight twins say nothing when they notice Hunter taking the long route to their next class.

Willow frequents the Noceda household. A lot. In her defense Luz is needy and constantly needs love and affection, so she's invited everyday. But even Luz has a life outside the house, has other friends and school activities to attend to. So she ends up resting at the house like a pitstop, doing homework and stuff, waiting for the bus or for her dads' to pick her up (sometimes Hunter will keep her company)

Hunter falls first in every universe.

My professor is unintentionally hilarious so I started keeping a list of things he’s said.

My entire department at my school is just filled with hilarious and genuinely kind professors. I am so lucky to have them teaching me a subject that I thoroughly love and enjoy so deeply, as they are so passionate and so dedicated to encouraging academic and personal growth. Not to mention they love a good rant. My friend and I literally plan our schedules around which prof is teaching the course bc we just love some of them so much. 

(This is how we ended up both enrolling for a course about Greek & Roman science & technology, where we may have to write a 2000 word essay about olives. But yk, the olive was so important to Ancient Greek society, and I love olives, so it’s fine.)

But there is this one professor who stands out from the others. For some background information, this professor was one of my first professors at my university. In my first year, he taught me three courses (Latin & Classical Mythology), and I did a Latin reading group session with him, and I had my Greek Literature course with him (so I’ve spent a lot of time studying with him). Studying Latin can be so intimidating (for good reason, the case system is absolutely overwhelming when you first start learning it), but he created such a positive environment that I ended up being able to fall in love with Latin.

This professor is not always the most...organised (he left answers in our online tests by accident at least twice), and just goes on various tangents that take up most of our lecture time. (Although, I think this trait is common in the humanities. Literally look at what I’m doing right now). He likes to go on and on about literature and Hebrew and his years in grad school where he spent hours pouring over translating Plato or Aristotle or Gorgias. I personally find this entertaining and love learning from his little tangents. Plus sometimes he says some pretty funny things. Which I will now share a selection of with you.

**For Legal Reasons (ha), take the quotation marks with a grain of salt.**

“Conserve me sounds like you’re an autumn peach waiting to be put in a jar!”

(Context: we were translating the sentence: ‘Conservate me!’ which does directly translate to ‘conserve me!’ but ‘protect me!’ is just sooooo much better.)

“I suck.” *ends the Bongo meeting*

“Did I do something stupid? I do that a lot.”

*someone asks a question* “Oh, I don’t know.”

“Sometimes I get worried that nobody can hear me, so I have to ask.” *Five minutes after nobody could hear him and he didn’t ask*

“I was driving yesterday and I saw a vanity plate, in Latin! Latin is everywhere!”

“It was all leading up to this very high point of learning Latin!”

“Is anyone listening?” *No response* “Okay.”

“This is my cat Mango” (during online classes)

*Late for a lecture and Mango jumps up on his desk* …. “oh, mango!” *exasperation*

“Does everyone get that?” *No response* “Okay.”

“I get tired of hearing myself talk.”

“There’s a problem with calling it Archaic poetry. But, I’ve called it Archaic poetry.”

“How can class be over just when we’re going to talk about Socratic Irony?” *ducks head in sadness* “I’m just going to go outside and lie down” (it was raining) “…. okay class is over. Mark this as the most pathetic class you’ve taken at [redacted].”

(Context: he showed up ten minutes late and the lecture was very disorganised (I think he did a good job!))

*Begins gesturing to the blank title slide of his powerpoint* “Notice the nice ancient map I have with ocean all the way around, and then all the continents with a nice short kind of Africa, and everything kind of roundish, smushed together, with the Mediterranean (Old world) oversized, Black Sea oversized, and everything stylized once you get out to the East.”

“Some colonial asshole probably, who lived a really dull life and wanted to oppress people.

(I can’t even remember what lecture this was from. I’m thinking it’s our geographical literature lecture. And he’s right lol.)

“Don’t tell the bartender that you’re there for the Inklings, he won’t care. It’s not like I did that or anything.” (Talking about the Eagle and Child pub)

“Scholars are fairly certain there was no access to google at this time.” (Talking about the year 280 AD)

*Everyone in the class agreed that we hate Plato.* Someone says: “I have beef with Plato!” He laughs and just dejectedly says, “aw. I love Plato.”

“A hoplite was kind of like the middle class who could afford heavy armo-- actually, you know what, we don’t need to talk about that.” *moves on and doesn’t finish his sentence*

Some other things he has done that I think are wonderful:

When we were studying Herodotus’ Histories he told us about how when he was in grad school, he used to read Herodotus to his daughter as a bed time story. It got to the point where she would ask for a Herodotus story.

Came into class, took out his laptop, wrote a website URL on the chalkboard, turned around, told us we had to go to that link and fill out a survey and then walked out of the room with all his stuff and didn’t come back for fifteen minutes.

Always had at least one typo in all his pop quizzes. On our quiz for Poetics he wrote ‘Aristotle’ as ‘ARistotle’ and my friend and I looked at each other and made pirate hooks with our fingers.

Hosted a Latin reading group in the summer and gave the people who had been studying latin for less than a year the Vulgate and Ovid’s Metamorphoses. (I gave up so quickly). But went on a ten minute ramble about the word ‘fiat’ and the subjunctive mood (which helped me a lot in second year).

While studying the Vulgate he went on a mini rant about St. Jerome and talked about his authorship when it came to his Latin translation, which spiralled into a 10 minute discussion about Hebrew and his frustrations with it.

Our pop quizzes were 5 multiple choice questions and we finished them before he finished handing them out, only for him to be shocked each time.

Agreed that the Greek Gods act like a squabbling family in the Iliad.

Laughed at my friend’s theory that between the Iliad and the Argonautica it was like they had grown up, and agreed.

Pronounces ‘circe’ like ‘sirsaayyyy’ (very long ‘ay’ sound at the end)

Whenever he writes words on the chalkboard he accidentally writes them in Greek (ancient Greek isn’t a pre-req for this class), and then has to take a minute to figure out how to write it in English.

Said: “Why does everybody read the bloody Republic? Read Symposium” only to realise like 5 minutes later THAT HE SCHEDULED US TO READ THE REPUBLIC. 

TLDR - He’s a very funny man. And he’s a very good professor. He did create what is probably one of the MOST CONFUSING ESSAY QUESTION I’ve ever had the displeasure of creating a thesis for, but that’s beyond the point. I would go on forever, but this is already long.
