It really did just start off with me thinking they're the most pretty characters so they should kiss LMAO

but since then I have spent a lot of time thinking about them so let me present to you some of my findings on why they would work so well together!!

a lot of this will make me sound like i am this meme but hear me out okay i've thought about this B-Side spoiler for the first one! but i have to mention it bc it's like my favourite part of them and also probably the one that makes most sense lmao skdjfhs It touches on a part of narumi's backstory so skip it if you don't want the spoiler!

shared backstory/ trauma!! I think with both of them knowing what it's like to lose their family and grow up without anyone around who really cared for them they'd be able to understand each other better than anyone else understood them before. I feel like they both possibly never had a place in the world where they really belonged since losing their family (with narumi always being pushed from one person to the next and reno's grandmother seemingly unable to really give him a good home) so in my mind they finally find a place in the world by each other's side because they get each other! They've been through the same shit! They'll finally help each other heal after all these years of not dealing with it!! Also it's really interesting how they have the same/similar pasts but both deal with it so differently. Narumi being all childish because he never got to have a proper childhood and Leno being so mature & caring like he wishes someone cared for him ;;

We know that Narumi is all about strength, all about results so who better to catch his eye than Reno who is getting better and showing results so quickly!! starting at 8% release force and then getting up to 43% with a numbers weapon after not even that much time??? Pls there's no way Narumi doesn't see the potential!! Also just the fact that nobody has ever been able to use 6 before like I'm sure that's already enough to turn everyone's heads but tell me narumi wouldn't be curious about this little prodigy who got their strongest weapon!

I just think squishing humanity's strongest together with the strongest numbers weapon user is a very sexy combination like just the sound of that sounds correct to me yes

They can bring out a side in each other that they otherwise don't get to show much? I feel like Reno is always taking on the responsible adult role lmao he's always worrying about everyone and taking care of things and narumi is such a silly little childish goober if he can't help reno unwind and allow himself to be a bit of a kid again then who can!! Reno is just a little guy, sit him down and make him play video games like everyone else his age!!

Looking at how Reno deals with Kafka's Kaiju transformation shenanigans I believe Reno would be very good at putting up with Narumi's shenanigans as well lmao but also he is such a polite little guy!! I think the combination of Reno being very much polite towards Narumi but also not taking shit from him is just very much amusing to me.

Reno's whole character arc is built around him trying to get stronger and strong enough to stand by Kafka's side but like if he keeps getting stronger and stronger where will he end up?? As the strongest. Which currently is Narumi ofc. So i do like the idea of Reno maybe idolizing Narumi a little bit ,, seeing how strong he is and being like yeah that's where I need to be. and ofc it's all about being strong enough to protect his loved ones but who says narumi can't be included in that by the time he gets there!!

@acystreia told me about this one but apparently electrical currents move a lot better through air than through ice? and isn't Narumi's whole ability with 1 built on him seeing electrical impulses from the brain to tell what someone is going to do next?? And Reno's whole ability with 6 is centered around the ice thing? which means Reno is the worst possible matchup against narumi in a fight???? I think this alone is reason enough for them to make out immediately. I don't actually remember any physics so this might just be me talking out of my ass but if i'm wrong i don't want to know let me live in my delusions i'm happy here

Xaden has always, almost from the beginning even when they didn’t like each other, calmed Violet in a lot of ways. It’s interesting to see now how he acts on it without thought where before he might have hesitated, and also to see how receptive she is to it. I am genuinely not normal about them. He really is so fully devoted to her. He half-believes he doesn’t even have a soul but still he risked it for her, so she wouldn’t have to be alone.

If it makes you feel better, you won’t have to see anyone’s reactions to them 💀 let’s just assume everyone is very appreciative of the fact that they’re alive!

It made sense for me that Andarna would be angry where Tairn and Sgaeyl have the maturity to understand that some choices have to be made, and that there are things more important than being “right.” She’ll come around eventually 🫶🏻

since family/clan n loyalty is very important to dragonborn and appindex just lost theirs before being abducted they are very quick to attach to these losers

i think while appin is not under the control of any god, lord, devil, etc they've created a personal hell of his own bc he tries to bear all responsibilities and burdens of those around him bc he's scared of failing and losing too much again. or all he has left really. that can make them kind of overbearing and it would be annoying if like the main companions didn't have issues and lowkey liked the attention.

what does get annoying is that it comes off as appindex not trusting their companions to do any heavy lifting but that improves in like act 2-3 especially since that's around the part the tav is expected to save baldurs gate. and the world like that's way too much weight for appin to carry on their own without breaking so atp they don't really have a choice but to let their companions share some of that albeit verrrry reluctantly

astarion: i do not know how to explain their relationship early on bc it fluctuates in my head. obviously irritated by how appin stops to help anyone and everyone especially since most of those people in act 1 are parents and children. appindex definitely laughs at his lame ass "seduction" bc it's pretty see through; it becomes less about seducing and just aiming making them laugh. appin probably said "im proud of you" at some point and it got to his head now he's vying for their attention and validation (get in line). my white hollow boned elf i'd probably give my organs to if he asked - appin

i think appindex is the more mature one, mentally and emotionally, especially since dragonborn develop and mature much earlier than elves do and i feel like dying young and being under cazador's control stunted astarions own maturity a bit. the result is appindex treating him like a child sometimes; not trusting him to do a number of things, scolding him,"dont treating me like a child" "dont act like one" etc etc. i think at some point he just does it and wears on appindex's extensive patience on purpose because he's a little freak like that :/. appin does not think its cute

i think appindex is pretty trusting in a way. if they feel like they have no reason to feel threatened by someone they'll have their trust but that doesn't mean it can't be lost ofc. which is why they trust laezel and astarion so easily. why would they be scared of a tiny white elf who can't even get them to knife point (he failed that).

he does struggle to trust others to do things for them though, if he were ever to be out of commission or on the verge of it it would be like pulling teeth to try and get him to let someone else lead temporarily.

appin holds onto a piece of kednyr's old blanket bc it still smells like her :thumbs_up: karlach gives her a teddy bear with that piece attached to it as a gift. astarion may have helped but he will not confirm

extra notes ermm appin lived in the upper city, not a patriar or a servant, they just co-run an expensive smithy there.

as a passionate blacksmith (and someone who wants to become an artificer) appin is really intrigued by karlach's engine and wishes they could collaborate with dammon on how to fix it or make her a new one entirely

to add onto that he's extremely fascinated by the grymforge in the underdark its like a theme park to him. it is their nerdiest point in the storyline

With the reveal of the latest anipoke poster, I wanted to talk about the upcoming arc in Pokemon Horizons bcs I have so many thoughts about it!!

Firstly, FLORAGATO 👀 Secondly, I'm really excited to see the Naranja (Uva) academy being properly adapted in the anime. It'll be an important training arc for Liko, Roy and Dot, who want to develop their skills as trainers. I'm interested to see how the sv characters shown in the poster will be portrayed, since we've already seen Nemona, Brassius, Iono and a Larry cameo.

At first glance, the upcoming arc seems kind of random with the ongoing Lucius plot. However, I think it actually makes a LOT of sense when you think back to the structure of the first arc. We were introduced to Nemona and Brassius back in episode ten, who will presumably have some involvement in the training of Liko, Roy and Dot. It's also an opportunity for the writers to develop the dynamic between Dot and Iono. Since episode fifteen, they've been established as having a competitive rivalry/friendship, so it'll be nice to see how that evolves. On top of this, Liko's Mum Lucca is a teacher so maybe we'll find out more about her. I'm not sure if she's supposed to teach at the Naranja academy or elsewhere in Paldea, but I want to learn more about her regardless.

Even though the adult rvts are not in the new poster, I'm hoping that they'll at least stick around for this arc (Friede and Orla are my comfort characters fr 😭). As Friede's a pokemon professor, I can see him fitting in with the other academics at the school. As for the other adults, they could either help out with the academy's facilities (Murdock being the cook would be a blast) or join as mature students. Collectively, the adults might be interested in researching terapagos and/or learning more about the six heros.

In hindsight, this arc could tie the loose thread of Ann's involvement in the story. Since episode two, she's only appeared through video calls. Since Liko's an exchange student from the Indigo academy, it wouldn't be a stretch for Ann to transfer to Paldea as well. It would give her some much-needed screen time, and give Liko a rival to train against. I don't know whether this will happen but it would be cool if it did!!

Overall, I'm really looking forward to the next arc. The end of the chapter two also looks hype, so I'll be watching it with no interruptions 😤 I think a training arc is necessary for Liko Roy and Dot, so that they can become more independent as trainers.

now that I've had a couple of days to go through SEVERAL stages of mental illness about book 3, I have…Some Thoughts. about the book in general and specifically about N's route, as so far that's the only one in which I've gone through most (if not all) of the interaction variations (yes, I have approximately 83253 tabs open rn. I told y'all I'm being very unwell about this). I've played through M's route several times so far too, but there were fewer standout "wait, what?" moments for me in that route tbh 🥴

below the cut: the peer review nobody asked for! (and my sincerest apologies lmao)

I really need Mishka to hire professional copy editors for these books, y'all. There are grammar/syntax errors that just. shouldn't be there. (and I don't even mean the nitpicky ones that I'm super anal about! I mean ones like using 'stationary' when you mean 'stationery'.)

somewhat related to the above bullet, I hope the testing period for book 4 is a lot longer than it was for book 3. there are some inconsistencies in the narrative that I suspect would have been caught if there'd been more time between the beta testing and the book being sent to HG.

for example, if you trigger the sex scene options in N's combat route, there is at least one errant reference to the feel of denim when like. you're both in workout clothes (and there is significant time spent describing both N's and the MC's outfits!). ALSO, when you go back inside for the debriefing with UB, F & M tease N about their jeans being unzipped when, again: there were no jeans or zippers involved. It's a funny scene after the equivalent research options, but it makes no sense post-combat ones without editing for attire differences.

while I'm thinking about the research scene on N's route, the fact that the MC can confess their love and N flat out says NOTHING in response??? just immediately jumps to gettin' busy despite the MC explicitly asking them to say something in response??? what will probably be Holland's canon route is fine, because the combat path has a "scared by own feelings" choice and you know homegirl immediately tried to yeet herself out of that potential conversation bc they've been dating for all of 30 seconds at this point. BUT knowing that that path was fine bc it happened to fit my OC honestly just made me more annoyed for anyone playing with a different/more emotionally mature/open detective. because going through the "i love you" options in the research scene especially were disappointing.

again, related to the above, the narrative inconsistencies (and the bulky plot) made the pacing often feel inconsistent. there were so many moving pieces and story beats that a lot of scenes felt either rushed (without seeming like that pace was tonally/narratively appropriate) or unnecessarily truncated. I also felt like there were a lot of points of abrupt info-dumping that was clearly meant to give background info on UB/other characters/plotpoints but ended up feeling inorganic/unnatural in terms of actual relationship-building. or, alternatively, like it was meant to build to a resolution point later in the book that just never happened.

for example: the whole post-Unit Victor scene where your LI shares some of their past with you. It didn't feel quite as abrupt/odd in my M route playthroughs, but the flow was JARRING for me in N's. And the abrupt end to that scene is never revisited. like, I understand the conversation maybe not coming up again, but for neither of them to even linger on what were presumably heavy emotional topics or think about it again at what could have been relevant points throughout the book seemed to dilute what I assume was meant to be an important scene.

speaking of things that are basically not revisited when they really should be, if N's overprotectiveness is going to continue to be a defining trait and the MC can continue to be explicitly bothered by it, I am begging for book 4 to let them have an uninterrupted, private conversation about it - particularly after the whole "I don't know how this is going to work" scene after the auction. because if this is how it already is and there are 4 more books, their relationship is going to be so (much more) unhealthy.

a more positive note! I did think it was ~interesting to see the juxtaposition of N's constant over-the-top "romantic gestures/sentiments" schtick against the responses you can get when you invite them to dinner but choose either the "you don't have to go if you would be uncomfortable" or "I'll call it off if you're not feeling it" option. with the former, N's response is that relationships are doing things for the other person/doing things they want to do, and they seem genuinely baffled when the detective immediately disagrees. with the latter, they seem equally surprised at the detective's willingness to ditch dinner for them. it's a brief thing, but both of their potential responses give the impression that N's perception of those statements is disproportionate to their actual significance. I mean. it's a dinner party that the detective almost forgot about entirely. clearly they don't give a shit about rescheduling/going alone. moreover, towards the end of the book, N explicitly worries about not "being enough" for the MC. for whatever reason, N clearly seems to think they're like, constantly on the verge of losing the detective in a different way than they worry about losing them to the neverending string of external threats, and I do hope it's meant to be the foreshadowing I think it is.

Finally got a chance to play volume 2! Not too bad imo but they've definitely had stronger openings to the season

first off, no new hair/clothes (except maybe one sleepwear option) and that's a shame because we could benefit from some better stuff

so the speed dating sucked. Like I understand Finn and Hamish are locked right now but to not talk to them at all sucks. Finn at least has Kat as an excuse but Hamish straight up just avoids MC and I'm like why???

Also just to nitpick but like you can go on a mini date with Natasha after Finn's thing, but technically it eats up into Henri's time, which doesn't make sense because his date was the correct amount of time, and with the placement of it, it would be so easy to just pretend it was eating up into MC's date with Finn that already got cut short by Kat? I'm just confused by the logistics here.

And the three LI's info dump on you and I understand what they're doing here and it's because their routes will merge so gotta get all the unique stuff that actually makes you like a character out now. But oh in another world I can imagine these talks getting drawn out over time and you get to see Chen try to prove he's changed and mature like he says but sometimes falters, and that Henri becomes the mature dad friend of the group, etc.

I will say I'm enjoying the triangle between Chen, Henri, and MC though bc usually the loyal route OG guys always feel independent of each other and don't really interact in the beginning. Like S8, if MC flirts with Oakley then Jin and Jack don't really do anything about it. Like I'm enjoying Henri being a little jealous.

Then there's the "Kat kiss gate" which, I need fusebox to stop calling every minor miscommunication a -gate. Like I'm all in for a bit irl but EVERY season and EVERY problem does not warrant this lingo I'm sorry.

It also isn't as romantic as they're making it out to be, like Henri saying he couldn't stop thinking about MC with Chen so he kisses Kat is weird behavior and I know it'd be the same if Henri and Chen were swapped, but it feels so out of place for Henri to be acting that way. Like I said, Chen claiming to be a reformed player could work with this because he hasn't let go of all his player ways, but I just don't see it with Henri.

Hide and seek is very odd as a love island game but sure it worked well enough. The individual moments with each islander is nice enough, but nothing really stands out for me. It's just pleasant.

every now and then the dialogue is great though like MC saying "a kiss? on love island? no way" and also I made my MC be a little messy this episode (which I'm going to pretend is warranted bc she seemed to jump in too fast with Stefan her last season so I'm just letting the pendulum swing the other way) by kissing Henri after finding him and her calling it a "post date peck, since that's your thing" is so funny, I love her.

Then the girls hide and Finn finds MC but they don't talk?? come back, plssssssss. like I think we should start to get to know him by this point because I'm pretty sure he's going to be an LI, so start building the groundwork now if he's a slow burn. Personally, I think they should let us couple with Finn soon and then you can get like two or three volumes of Kat being sparky and backhanded about it before she gets dumped and then have that be the end of that. Like I know I wasn't on board fully with an all Stars season before, but now I'm like,,, well why are we not talking to the all stars?

The night under the stars thing was cute, and then they used it as an excuse to be like "MC, while you were gone there was drama and you need to pay 17 gems to find out" pshhhh

I was going to say we didn't get a lot of memorable Hamish moments this volume but then the breakfast scene happens, and first off, I love everyone giving Natasha nicknames but especially Natasha and Hamish's friendship and he calls her Nat Nat. Then also "you went on a date with a dog" had me dying. And then "she wanted to date my best friend" made me sad so uh he better get that character arc and backstoey where we learn he's overcompensating for feeling like second best all the time and MC encourages him to chill out just a little on the cockiness

that being said, I do think they've toned down his disgustingness although he's still cringe. it sometimes feels staler than s6 but then also at times not as over the top as s6, but it feels like he's got less screen time too, so I'm not sure what to make of that. I'm intrigued about his route but I can't say I'll go for it, and for me that especially depends on what Stefan is gonna be like

Because MC shares a Stefan story and he seems sweet like in my head he's on the shy side (which is great bc the other guys rn are all pretty confident guys) but he caught MC's attention and is like head over heels for her, but then post love island was just an absolute wreck. I'm just curious how fusebox is gonna drop the ball, like is it gonna be right away or....?

I also wish the second chance romance plot somehow went to Finn though, like I'm hoping somebody's gonna write the fanfic where S5 MC is the main character this season instead.

I wanted to share my thoughts on Sebastian Stan and Annabelle Wallis and their relationship. For me, I personally wasn’t really aware some time ago that he was in a relationship, but when I found out, I was open-minded to see who was on his side. This is in no way any hate; I just wanted to share my thoughts.

I would never say that Annabelle is a bad person. I'm sure she’s kind to her friends and family. But when I think about her behavior in their relationship, it often seems like she’s making regular actions to show that they’re together. In my opinion, if your relationship is secure, you don’t even feel the urge to prove anything to anyone. Additionally, there seems to be very little affection shown towards her from Sebastian, and from what we know and have seen, Sebastian is an affectionate person.

It also appears that she’s frequently looking up information about Sebastian from fan pages or checking up on her ex and their current partners. From my personal view, it rather seems like a PR relationship. I can imagine that it may have turned out not as he thought it would and complicating things.

And what I think is rather strange that people act like she can’t do anything wrong and that she’s innocent. To me, it seems more like she’s calculating situation after situation to maintain control over the public image of their relationship.

And after what I heard in the Deuxmoi podcast some time ago, I was quite confused. Let’s say it isn’t a PR relationship—then this relationship is pretty confusing, if you can even call it a genuine relationship. If you'd like, I can summarize it up for you.

ok so now I can rant about JiM because it's my hyperfixation lol

when I learned that they made a JiM novel I was euphoric bc I always thought the novel format was the ideal form for the story because it's a very literary comic and I also love fantasy and the Thor side of comics but I HATE superhero as a genre and I also hate superhero comics and their completely messy continuity and bonkers logic, so to me, it's like by adapting this specific run into a book it felt like they've lifted the story from it's larger context so it could exist in it's own canon bubble without having to answer to anything that came before or after these events take place. I love that the only proper superhero that appears is Captain Britain and you only hear one or another superhero be mentioned in passing so I can easily ignore that there are superheroes in this universe and pretend it's just a regular fantasy novel. I noticed that the author took some liberties with the costume descriptions (Loki wears no cowl and Leah wears a golden circlet in lieu of her bone hairpins) and I took is as a cue to disregard the imagery from the comics and reimagine everything from description in a more LOTR-like fantasy aesthetic (nothing against the talented artists that worked on the comic, but I dislike how spandexy and futuristic some asgardian outfits look in the comics)

The prose is surprinsingly good for a novelization. Novelizations usually have very dry prose, but this one is witty, evocative, and in times even poetic, which makes it feel like it was an original literary work and not an adaptation. I don't agree that it feels like a companion to the comic because in many ways, it comes off like a more complete work than the comic, with an expanded insight into the characters.

I particularly like how Loki's inner thoughts made him even funnier and more loveable than in the comic, with his little asides and daydreams, and I love how it elevates his relationships. I particularly like how it shows that, even in his good innocent form, Loki is still jealous of Thor, which is something I never got from the comics. The comics give away the impression that Kid Loki just feels pure hero worship toward his brother and any sore feelings are out of his legitimate grievances about Thor being a lousy parent figure, but the comic shows that he inherited some of his older self's pettiest feelings, which makes his relationship to Thor more nuanced and adds up to the tension that he might go evil if he lets them take over. The prose format also enhanced his chemistry with Leah. I didn't care much about their relationship in the comics because it felt too one sided on his part, but with book!Leah I had a clear sense of how much she likes him back behind the walls she puts up that I never got from comic!Leah. Loki's romantic feelings for her feel more mature in this version, in the comic is too boy pulling pigtails of the girl he likes, but here he gets to be actually earnest about his love for her, and it made the two times he loses her actually hit for me. The added scene where he gifts her books for christmas was adorable and made me ship it. Oh, and I thought making King Arthur a grumpy boomer was a nice touch of humor.

On the downside I disliked how the book does a poor job of contextualizing some stuff and introducing new characters to an impact, which is a shame because I really wanted to recommend this book to people who don't do comics so they can become addicted to JiM like myself (I'm still going to do it lol). The book has no qualms taking some liberties to make the story feel more concise, but it should have taken more liberties to make it work in its format. It also was in a serious need of an editor, because there are some continuity errors. Overall is a good book, it's well written, it honors the story and characters, and that Marvel has chosen this particular story to relaunch in a different format shows it resisted the test of time and it is a classic run.

Definitely agree that Leah and Loki's relationship was much cuter in the book (he even got her furniture), and it was heartbreaking when he had to sent her to the past just after getting her back to keep his older self from hurting her. The things I liked most are Ikol's thoughts while being a magpie, and the ominous teasing as the "teller".

I felt the book got confusing when there were changes in settings, and definitely think it needed more editing. There was a distracting typo in one of the earlier chapters (can't remember where exactly).

I think they should have recapped a little with things like Thor's resurrection for example.

In light of the idea that Ingo and Mai extend their warden duties to include rescuing eggs/offspring of raging alphas, maybe Mai was not only full of shit when she said she'd had been raised with the munchlax from birth, if questioned she planned to say that you misheard her and that she had raised the munchlax since it was born.

Gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss, that's her motto when it comes to the galaxy team. They probably do actually give her a lot of trouble since most of the survey people are probably in the fieldlands, and I think the ride pokemon and their wardens are supposed to be guides to people they run across who need help? That's as best I can guess anyway, since we don't actually know what wardens, y'know, canonically do. But if that was her role, then she'd certainly be kept busy rescuing survey corp members from shinx on the daily lol.

Though I do like the idea of Ingo and Lian starting around the same time and Ingo giving him the goomy to protect himself, probably fairly early on in their tenure, because that means in the time it took Lian to raise his goomy to level 15, Ingo got three pokemon (actually likely his full team of six but he only battled with three the first time because that's what you do on the Singles Line) that he raised to level 40. Which is an unfair comparison because Ingo is a professional and Lian is 12-ish, but it's still kinda funny to me. Although there is the chance that maybe Lian just doesn't actually need to use his goomy much and that's why it's so low leveled, because when he goes out Lord Kleavor goes with him in order to protect his tiny, squishy, infant warden. He is very unimpressed with the idea that goomy, who is also a tiny, squishy infant could protect his warden, he'll just do it himself, thanks.

mai really does seem suuuuper unimpressed with the galaxy team as a whole the first time you talk to her. she really doesn't think highly of them after watching all of them fail to stop one singular kricketune, and if you back out of the battle with her by saying "not really" when she asks if you can handle your pokemon in battle she'll literally say "how unsurprising" lmao. which, if munchlax is actually not her real partner, it makes way more sense why she's so judgmental of the security corps for failing to beat a kricketune that she also clearly cannot beat, glass houses mai. normally it wouldn't be an issue, if it weren't for the terrible timing!

@ixtaek also pointed out that in the massive mass outbreak questline she fails to tell munchlax apart from a zorua after being like "of course i can identify my partner!" which is true and makes that SO much funnier lmao. on the outside she was like "naturally this will be no challenge at all for me" but internally she must have been going "shit shit shit shit"

re: goomy being Squishy it could also be that goomy (and by extension, munchlax) are so weak still Because they're babies! in other fics, i've written it that pokemon don't know moves from birth and don't even start battling until they've matured a good bit. so it could be that both of them only recently hit the age where they can battle and start being trained. in that case, ingo might have given lian goomy in particular not because he thought it would be a strong partner, but more just bc it needed special attention and he was already dealing with other young/recovering pokemon from other alphas. so he just killed two birds with one stone, and gave lian a potential partner in the process. (and lian accepted because despite being a warden he is still a 12 y/o boy and ingo handed him a gross slug and told him to be best friends with it, of course he loved it)

also re: ingo's insane level jump compared to other warden fights, i actually think that the first time you fight ingo in the main questline he was doing the subway thing and actively holding back, so it's not just level 40 i think his pokemon were already level 70-something lmao. tangela is an exception on account of it not being evolved and probably the most recent addition, but the other two. the rest of the wardens otoh just don't know how to, do that, because they are not former facility bosses. there's nothing really to support this theory i just think it's fun

As always the strongest part of this ep was the team dynamics. Roy joining the diamond dogs. Isaac with the penalty kick!!!! The fucking dance sequence callback T^T theres no place like afc richmond <3 Them winning the match but losing the whole thing was a good balance of success vs realism. I didn't know enough about football to predict it beforehand LOL but that probably worked in my favor bc i genuinely didnt know whether they would win or lose. Rebecca and ted's friendship was heartwarming as always. I was living in fear that they'd become a couple even though i knew that wasn't what the writers were going for, so I probably need to rewatch to fully enjoy it.

Tedependent lost RIP. it would have made sense but at the same time im kinda glad they didn't, at least this season. trent was still very much a side character and i just don't think the story beats were there for tedtrent endgame. the story would have had to been constructed differently, or it would need another season. I also liked how the main focus was ted & rebecca's friendship rather than either of their romantic relationships. I love a good romance but its not what this story is about.

Thats part of the reason why the dutchman return felt cheap to me lol. Sorry rebecca im always rooting for you but i just wasn't feeling it. Another part of that is probably because Ted and Trent had a much stronger foundation and we still didn't get to see even their friendship develop as much as i would have liked. Maybe ive been spoiled by all the trent this season idk. but i was just hoping for a little more. After all, it's not lost on me that we only got one confirmed gay couple at the end (we don't even know anything about Michael!!! Ugh sorry Im a michael hater he's so boring.)

Speaking of boring, I simply do not care about ted's family. So him moving back was... not really compelling for me. like none of the kansas characters are fleshed out at all. i wish they had done something more interesting with them so i could actually get invested. There was something there with michelle dating their couples therapist, but it ended up falling flat imo. Also Michelle being a teacher is a total copout, I would have preferred if she had an unexpected job that revealed a new side to her. Give her a personality outside of being a wife/mother/caretaker please and thank you.

I did like how Royjamie was left openended!!! thats the ship i care most abt and i knew it wasnt going to *actually* happen so im satisfied with what we got. I am in the (im assuming) minority of royjamie enjoyers that is against roykeeleyjamie. This episode really hammered it in why roy and jamie are not good for keeley LOL, but the signs have been there all along. Keeley needs to be her own boss for a bit! Roy and jamie are just not at her maturity level (lovingly), and they've got some misogyny to work through.

(I need to think on it more, but I'm pretty sure that I liked the way this episode/season handled the Roy And Jamie Are Lowkey Sexist subplot. Like the whole fighting over a woman thing is soooo trite atp, and i still dont know how i feel about them physically fighting over her or whatever. but the story was realistic about how these asshole male footballers are going to have some weird views about women, while still shutting that down those views. like not even giving them the time of day. Keeley literally shoos them out without a word LMAO. So idk need to think about it more but at least keeley didnt end up with either of them).

Hey you know who DOES deserve each other.... and makes each other better people, as represented by their football training arc.... the student is the teacher and the teacher is the student etc etc…… Anyways royjamie is real TO ME!!! (And brett goldstein and phil dunster, number one royjamie warriors. phil dunster wrote royjamie smut I will never get over that)

Overall im sad to see ted lasso go. i think i need to sit with all 3 seasons a bit more before forming my full opinion, but s1 will always have my heart. Mostly because evil jamie and evil rebecca are so so fun to watch.

My Thoughts on Genshin Characters

Albedo

These will be broken up into thirds to help organize my thought process of: my general all around thoughts, what kind of relationship I would have with them if I was in the gi universe, and what I think of their character stories and background

My general scrambled thoughts

I didn't really care for Albedo tbh

He wasn't bad and I didn't dislike him he was just kind of meh?

But then I found out he was essentially a homunculus and adores Klee.

Like sure, you're so stoic and only care about research and yet you have all but adopted this arsonistic child (affectionately)

As well as his search for knowledge. I personally really understand this because I always have needed to learn about everything around me

I always felt on the outside of society and still do.

I wanted to pick peoples brains apart figuratively and literally

I always wanted to learn about nature and animals and still do

But I feel like him and I would get along in this sense that we both share this intense need for knowledge

And he only learns about things that interest him as well, I hate being forced to learn something I care nothing about and will promptly forget when it is no longer of use

I just think it would be neat to learn about some animals or plant species together

He's also an artist! I used to make art all the time but have since lost my passion for it

If I were in the genshin universe I would love to hang out with him. I feel like his main love language would be differing quality time. Like you're in the same area but aren't doing the same thing and just sharing space and everyone once in awhile looking over and asking "how's it going?" And no need for much more conversation

Or we would both be losing our minds over some new found species and we will not shut up about it, no inbetween

Also of I were in the genshin universe, all Characters under 20 would immediately become my children in some form or another whether I just visit and bring presents and spend a lil time before I'm off or they travel with me, they are all my kids.

And Albedo likes kids more than adults and I feel like it's because they don't see him as anything less than a person or don't hold these ridiculous expectations of him and expect him to be this genius all the time either

He's not stone cold tho, he has friends but I feel he has the same worries I do and that's they will leave eventually because we can't give them what they want so we keep ourselves away

He's said that he thinks keeping up friendships with adults is tiresome and yeah, it really is

But I do think it shows a very strong sense of maturity and wisdom that he has some friends in Mondstadt

Even if they don't know him super personally they are there, such as Kaeya and Jean, and they've expressed many times that they'll be there for him whenever he's ready to open up

I think something else that I admire about him aswell is that he's not super cranky or rude to people

Alot of people who have a lot of knowledge tend to forget that others do not know all of these things they know and look down on them bc they forget that they were once there too and lacked this knowledge

Albedo doesn't do that

He balances on a tightrope of secrecy, high intelligence, and never ending kindness. All of his dealings and interactions with other folks are in earnest. Which I respect him for bc I have a hard time being nice to people on certain topics bc I feel it should be common sense or blah blah blah blah

But ya know he never hesitates to lend a hand when someone needs it or asks for it bc he has the mindset of "I have you need it here ya go"

And he's so kind to his assistants Sucrose and Timaeus too

Not only that but alchemy is considered an ancient practice!! That must have been so hard and grueling for him to accomplish! As well as it's been stated that he has knowledge that not even scholars at the akademiya in Sumeru have

And he has such and important job among the ranks of the The Knights of Favonius as well

Just all around mad respect for the man honestly he's everything I want to be in life

In Universe Relationship

If I were just like Aether, Lumine, or Aloy and was a traveler from another world I feel we would get along and be pretty good friends

I would love to bring him pictures whether sketches I've made or actual Polaroid type photographs of me and the kid's adventures in the other lands of teyvat whenever we come back to visit Mondstadt.

I would love to go up into the mountains and ask about any of his findings while we were away and tell him about our adventures. Spend like a week at his research facility with him catching up.

He would be great with the kids too. He would be so helpful

The first kid I adopted was Razor (ill write about that later) and Albedo would be so understanding that Razor can't speak very good English yet and would help him out whenever we're around. And Albedo likes to look at the interactions of people around him so he would have a plethora of knowledge on how to act around people and I bet he would even make a book especially for Razor that has some social stuff in it.

Diona was the second and he would be so understanding of her views but I think he would help her break out of them, such as all people who drink are bad and how awful Mondstadt is for allowing her life to be this way. He would effortlessly help me help her with her anger at Mondstadt and shift it to determination do make her life better. She would no longer be a victim.

Of course Klee and how endearing he acts towards her and her destructive tendencies.

Albedo would be good with Bennett as well and probably ask Bennett to like heat up something for an experiment and help Bennett maybe learn to relax and trust himself that he can in fact control his Pyro vision.

Barbara would be great as well I think learning about so many new things would open up her mind GREATLY and she would probably end up pursuing a life of like science or healing outside of the church in some way and not be brainwashed into the Cult that the church in Mondstadt very obviously is. It would probably spark an interest for her to join us in traveling and learning about all the different things in the world .

Albedo would also be really good at listening to the kids when they talk about something exciting that happened while we were gone and be very kind in explaining anything to them that they wanted to learn about. I feel like he would be a great teacher.

I would also love to learn from him and hear him talk and explain things as well. I really look up to him so it would be very much of a mentor/mentee relationship but I'm like an old student of his that's grown up and we are on more equal terms ya know.

He sees me as like and adult and treats me like one and we're good freinds but he never stops teaching me

I also headcanon him as aromantic, he just never really thinks of romance and just thinks of caring about people and helping them out in general and having a general love for life and all the forms it takes

Character Story

What we know of his character so far is pretty neat actually.

So far he is the only non-organic person in genshin kinda???

He was made in a lab, he was a test tube baby so to speak ya know and I think that the fact that he is as emotionally intelligent as he is is amazing as well

He knows how to handle his emotions and how to take care of himself and what kind of relationships he can have with people and how many before he starts getting burnt out.

He also has ancient knowledge that no one else has and that's pretty neat.

I also like that the devs didn't go the route of him having no emotions at all and making him hateful and rude. I really like that they decided to make him so compassionate

imagine ani joining in on the Headquarters' girls gossiping about their partners. they're jokingly complaining, stuff like "ugh he always leaves his socks lying around. i'm working all night and i have to see that as soon as i walk in? he's lucky he's cute" and ani naturally starts talking about you. in fact, most of her stories are about you. to the point where she brings up your name in front of her sister, just something casual like "oh y/n told me about this show, apparently it's really good. let's watch it next" and she grills ani about who you are.

it's just completely normal for ani to inject you into conversation. the other girls tease her about it, asking when you're planning on tying the knot. she tells them they're being ridiculous and to shut up and finish their makeup.

another hc i have is that you'd introduce her to video games. ani doesn't have much time for hobbies, instead she'd probably just go out with her friends and party. you catch her wincing because of all her bruises from practicing choreo (especially her tricks on the pole) and basically put her on house arrest. you wanna show her that fun isn't just going out, and you can have plenty of fun staying in! she'd roll her eyes but find it sweet that you clearly care so much so she'd go along with it. ani would've sworn that gaming isn't her thing BUT you know her, you know what she'd like, what she needs and doesn't have in her life. you'd introduce her to cozy games bc her life is hectic enough and you know she loves to manage/sort stuff (she makes playlists and mixes galore). she'd absolutely get hooked on animal crossing with all the decorating and collecting. you have walked in on her cussing out a villager for being rude.

IVAN:

i still haven't seen it yet still but mikey's been saying interesting stuff in the recent content that's come out. in the one where mikey and sean annotate the party scene, mikey called to attention what anora thought about ivan then. she liked that he fixed her dress, covered her up, something subtle implied that he wanted her for more than sex. ani slowed down their sex even when she didn't have anything to gain from it, when it'd be easier money to have him keep rushing it. ani wasn't in love with ivan either, but neither of them had bad intentions. they both saw freedom in each other, they both liked that they could run away from responsibilities together.

and to reiterate i do not Like ivan, i don't like peter pan either. whether he was neglected isn't an excuse to run off without ani who was fighting for him, fighting for their possible future. it is unfortunate that he doesn't know any better. i feel like his childishness/running aren't even what i dislike about him, if anything it's relatable. rather, sean called to attention how ivan treats "the help" in toros and garnick, asking partygoers to keep an eye out for "those armenians" bc he wanted to snort coke without being in trouble. he yells at hotel staff as a joke. it's not a bad thing to aspire towards fun and hedonism, but what he does find fun is something that speaks to the distance between him and ani. he'll never know what it feels like to be on the lower rungs, to do service for other people, too used to being the one serviced. he wouldn't care. even if they were left unbothered by his parents, would he ever ask ani about her previous troubles in life? would he ever understand her?

IGOR:

it's a cute assumption! i like it, it was just funny with the knowledge of definitely not big brother dynamic. i've seen tweets like "the way ani talks to igor is the way i talk to my boyfriend" (implying that she's mean but he can take it, which i desperately wanna see). if we see ani's hopefulness/slight naivety with falling for ivan, then her brash and real side is with igor and that's what i'm curious about.

i need to watch their scenes together. i already like igor and ani better than ivan and ani (i mean, even just the fact that igor was the one who goes "i like anora, it's a pretty name"). the ending's unclear for a reason but i just want the best for anora you know?

I think the 1 artist that has sort of guided me to find my art style is definitely godlyDescentUFO they mostly post on deviantart/twt of which i don't really use anymore. I still think about their art a lot, and often. The colour palettes they use and the composition and body language of the characters drawn... It's just special to me. I want to replicate it. One day. Again I feel like Ive been too sucked into fandom these past few years to really do what i want to but I'll... I don't like "original" art in the sense of those paintings that just exist in a vacuum with no character stories behind them. I want something you can follow, you know. On the other hand, bc i'm an oc artist, Im making 'fan content' of my ocs. Technically. Do yuo follow. So me drawing my babyboy Daniel 400+ times in a decade is kind of like fan content but Im the only fan... So whats original content and whats fan content.

I do feel like being so intertwined in fandom content may have hindered my art development a little bit, since I completely stopped drawing my ocs for a little while. I didn't get to explore their lives through art as much as I would've wanted to. I haven't been drawing as many backgrounds because I do enjoy mostly drawing interiors and there's not much interiors to talk about when it comes to mcyt... And ive also just been lacking motivation for it.

All in all i think i enjoy "original" art more, because it gives me more, it gives more to my heart. It's not that i don't enjoy drawing mcyt, but I think I should maybe try to draw mcyt in a more personal? matter? Without too much fandomification? I want to make more art that has "meaning" per say, with backgrounds, a story behind them. (this is just for me and what i want to get out of art, this doesn't apply to anyone else. it's such a slippery slope bc i know saying these things may feel hurtful to others but i am only talking about myself.... okay T_T) I dont know if any of this makes sense. I'm always lost in my direction with art and going to art school didn't make it any better <3

I do think that because I've been going thru a lot of personal warfare in the past 3 years, fandom HAS helped me in the sense that it helps me with creativity, since i have been severely lacking in creative thinking, I just struggle with it nowadays, so if I can draw ethubs making out under a tree bc they did so in episode 402 out of season 194 then so be it, at least it'll help me create

I could think of it being a placement that make me appealing to authoritative positions, like bosses or teachers etc. I also think it might mean that I'm appealing to "popular" people, or I'm just a soft spot for leo's haha

Hi! What I said was only on my personal understanding of my own uhhh charm and charisma lies.

Also, disclaimer: I am in no way an astrologer. I'm just a smol fry who's interested in astrology and whatever I say below would only be based on my personal understanding, as well as things I've read before from other posts. Before I get there, a couple of things that are important in looking asteroids in your charts are

1. It's sign, house, degree

2. How prominent it is (how many aspects, how tight the orbs are, etc.)

So with that in mind, let's look at yours! At first glance, I feel that your Charis has a very prominent Leo energy, so you may vibe well with people who know how to enjoy, have a good time, have fun. Most prolly random people would like to invite you to their house party or some gatherings? Or situations where they talk to your friend and goes, "oh, you're friends with jellymoonbear? Invite her along to the party we're hosting next month!" kinda thing.

But fun and popularity aside, I feel that there may also be a chance where you can easily gain unwanted attention? Cuz you shine so bright where people may not like you taking the spotlight (not to mention 29° is also a critical degree, where you can refer here for more details. Sure, it is a fame degree, but there's always something else behind the scene of glamour, which we must always remember). This can be difficult to deal with when you lack the experience and maturity to tackle issues at hand.

It trining your ASC gives me the impression that your vibrance and joyfulness matches your appearance, how you dress yourself, and people are comfortable with how you express yourself, which allows you to be able to mingle easily.

Trining your Chiron sounds healing for me? Cuz easy aspects with Chiron gives me the feeling that whatever pain and hurt that you have gone through will be something that can transform you into a better person. Idk how to properly express this in words, but let's say some people find scars on the eyebrow attractive. Scars are proofs of injury and hurt and they've healed, and they somehow became a plus point to your personal charisma, kinda thing. So by putting this in an emotional sense and personal experience/development kinda situation, whatever you've gone through in the past made you stronger and more charismatic. Yeah this is what I feel it may be (you'll need to of course, take your Chiron's sign and house into consideration as well).

Squaring Jupiter and Saturn feels like.... Hmmmmmmm... Chances of being too... Fun and end up having problems with your own discipline and may hinder your studies? Idk this is what I usually correlate for Saturn and Jupiter hshshs. But also, there may be chances of people of authority, for example, disciplinary teacher (combination of Saturn and Jupiter in one lmAO) may not like you yet could do nothing against you. That.

But yeah, Leos are nice people and they're really fun to hang out with! It's fine to have soft spots for them and most of all, remember to go with your vibe and gut feeling!
