#bc Shuichi is HIS son okay!!!!

It's Father's Day!! ...But we don't care about Shuichi's father cause he STINKS, so we're gonna be talking about Uncle Akihiko, instead!!!

-When his nephew was 10 years old, that was when Akihiko officially took him in, as that was around the time where his parents went overseas. Even before then, the times that Shuichi was able to come over and visit, he was always so kind and sweet to him, so he was more than happy to have Shuichi live with him and his wife.

-He is the younger brother of Shuichi's mother, Ayumu, by 3 years. They were close, but their relationship naturally strained once Ayumu began neglecting Shuichi. So he's pretty disappointed with his sister, but he still loves her deep down: he just wishes she would try to be there more for her son, since she actually does feel guilty for neglecting him over the years. And then there's Shuichi's father, Daichi: Akihiko HATES that man! As Daichi is much colder, and doesn't feel as bad about hardly ever seeing Shuichi anymore. He especially resents him for not being a better father.

-Though funnily enough, a lot of the time, people have thought Akihiko is Shuichi's father's, anyway! Which is an assumption he is happy people make, since Shuichi is practically like a son to him, anyway... so sometimes, he won't even care to correct people; in fact, sometimes jokingly plays along and says that is his son!

-As the boss of the Saihara Detective Agency, he is a very serious man, and may even come off as intimidating or even a bit cold at first. And while he can be pretty strict, he only is out of the care he has for his employees, and is actually very kind. After all, he only hires detectives that he knows he can trust. A lot of his employees have been at the agency for years! Though he still isn't afraid to playfully bonk the top of your head with a book if he catches you slacking off, HEHEHE.

-And as Akihiko Saihara, just a regular man, he's more lax and easygoing, who loves to help people even outside of his job, and is like the well known guy of his neighborhood who everyone likes. He also has a British Shorthair named Kuku! She is his fluffy daughter and 100% spoils her and baby talks to her, HEHE.

-Like Shuichi, Akihiko's field of cases tend to be the more 'minor' ones like infidelity, background checks, finding missing pets, etc. But he is more than capable on taking on more extreme ones like homicide if the time calls for it. As such, with the amount of different cases and work that he does, he tends to be a very busy man, sometimes staying at the agency until late nights. But he always checks up on Yuki when he can, and Shuichi if it's been a while. Because when he knows they're safe and okay, he can relax better!!

-Akihiko has always believed in Shuichi, knowing from the very first moment his nephew began assisting him, that he has the potential to become a great detective: and once Shuichi was accepted into Hope's Peak Academy, he knew he was right! But he knows he still struggles with self-confidence, which he also believes he will soon overcome. Bit by bit, he has seen Shuichi become more confident in himself and his skills, and he couldn't be prouder of him. Shuichi mostly stays at the dorms now, but he is always welcome back at home, anytime!

Omg you are so right about Cat being a glorified sidekick. They treated him so unfair in the show😭😭😭 And it doesn't even make sense bcs Adrien makes some sense as a protagonist with his hole family being a centre of the plot. (I can't confirm vcs thats just what i heard but someone said that Tomas Astrug said that the reason Marinette is a protagonist is bcs Tomas believes himself to be a feminist. For that reason he just favorites Marinette all the time wich i think is just unfair)

Talking about parallels. Despite all the flaws of the show one of my all time favorite thing is parallel between Cat and Ladybug. Marinette is a daughter of a hard working bakers. She is a class representative, despite low status and awkwardness that makes people underestimate her and not listen, she proves to people her worth as a leader and earns respect of her pears. She has a lot of dreams and a lot of hobbies/skills. On the other hand Adrien is a son of the most famous fashion designer in Paris. He is very famous for his model work for that reason he doesn't need to fight for others respect. He also has a lots of skill and just like Marinette is very busy. But unlike marinette all of this wasn't his desires but his fathers. Adrien is very awkward with people bcs he grew up homeschooled, but people still follow him bcs of his father. All of the skills he gained wasn't because he wanted to but because his father wanted to. He is not successful by choice he actually kind hates that he is successful. So when Maris live is kind of perfect, Adriens live is more like a golden cage.

For that reason when Marinette became LadyBug, it became a huge burden on her. She didn't needed that in her live, she was already happy. But when Adrien became Cat Noir it became his freedom. Cat Noir is what he desired and needed. Okay i will stop yapping for now this parallel just kind of breaks my heart and whatever

I don't know yet how to put that parallel in oumota but i have other ideas!

Miu is most definitely going to be on Chloe's place. She will accidentally find bee miraculous and start just doing dumb shit. She most definitely will brag about it get laid. At one point she might even became Kokichi's support character like Alya

On place of Lyla i would pick Tsumugi. She would like pretend to be plain and nice but actually be obsessed with Junko and work with her behind everyone's back. You know like Lyla did

If there ever will be the absolute mind fuck of a love square like with Luka/Marinette and Adrien/Kagami

Then obviously Maki would be on Kagami's place. And she also gets dragon miraculous bcs she is badass.

And Shuichi or Amami as Luka. Idk they kinda both fit. But Amami gets snake miraculous and Shuichi gets bunny miraculous

(I also hate love squares or triangles. If i had to choose then nor Maki nor Shuichi/Amami would be actually interested in Kaito and Kokichi. I just dont want any broken hearts is that to much to ask😭😭😭)

I was thinking and couldn’t figure out who is more suitable for the role of Cat Blanc. On the one hand, this is obvious to Kokichi since he has the miraculous of a cat and this is more like him, so to speak. But on the other hand, the main point of the Cat Blanc episode was to give Marinette a justification for her paranoia about their secret identities. Causing her to push Cat away. Now that sounds like Kokichi. Anyway, just food for thought, Have a nice day!

first of all thanks for the ask !! i love yapping !!

second !! one of my biggest gripes about miraculous is that ive always felt that chat noir is treated like a glorified sidekick . they make a big fuss about the " balance of the universe " being repressed by the black cat and the ladybug and yet its so clear that in the show's eyes the ladybug is way more important !!

some of this is just that marinette is just more of a leader/planner than adrien , butttt in the case of kaito and kokichi , theyre both planners and leaders in their own right ( i mean. obviously ) so !! i think that is an interesting dynamic to play with !!

in all honesty , i really see kokichi being more concerned over secret identities !! i mean , kaito is big on trust and kokichi is simply not .

all that being said , if one of them were to be akumatized , it would probably be kaito . he's simply more likely to be overcome by emotion , as kokichi is pretty good at burying that shit down . ( tho i think kaito is too , but that's a discussion for another day . )

10. What would be your Ultimate Title?

is Ultimate Bitch a title? if not, probably like, Ultimate Opinionated bc i have a take on everything. maybe not a good take, but i certainly have a take. but if we’re going with strictly ~talents~, even though i’m nowhere close to the best writer around, maybe Ultimate Fanfic Writer? i’ve written some absolute shit, but it’s written. it’s there. there’s a lot of it. plus i would almost share a title with touko and that would be cool.

100. Opinion on all the Protagonists!

Makoto—That Is My Son. he’s so optimistic and lovely and genuinely believes in his classmates and gha;kflja. we all gotta be a little more like egg boy. we need him in our lives, he’s such a refreshing protag

Hajime—ideal protagonist. sassy, observant, ready to fight EVERYTHING, i’m a fan. he takes no one’s shit. also spoilers but the izuru kamukura project? what a mood. I would erase my whole personality for super powers. hajime knows what’s up

Komaru—DAUGHTER!!!!! she and makoto are siblings so not only is she daughter by proxy, but i also love her. she’s so brave and genuinely kind and even though she has her weak moments, they ultimate just make her better bc she fights through them and gets out the other side. i’m proud of her always.

Touko—her character development………art. i couldn’t stand her in dr1, but now i love her and her strength and how much she cares about komaru. dr:ae was basically touko character development class and it’s the best thing kodaka could have done for her. thank u for my life mr dangan man

Kaede—MY GIRL GOT SHORT CHANGED but it’s okay she’s still an icon. day one and my girl was ready to find that mastermind. her drive…..hell yeah. also spoilers but her execution was, from the standpoint of just looking at the execution and not its effects on the narrative, cool as hell. it’s not as good as the peko execution, but it’s still really good. easily top five in the whole series.

Shuichi—at first i wasn’t a fan bc of his comically low self esteem and how cheated i felt by the kaede thing, but he grew on me! i like how he ended up gaining confidence in himself and connecting with other people and it was inspiring to see him go from eyeroll-worthy to a protagonist who pulled one of my favorite “fuck you” moments in the whole series. also his lack of patience with ouma’s bullshit is my constant mood.
