Because they clean surfaces and eliminate allergies and bacteria, they improve the environment for everyone, even visitors. Regular professional cleaning of the building reduces the likelihood of illness, which is beneficial for everybody.

November Save MEGA summary (part 8)
before / next
here it is... the penultimate chapter of november save, its been a long journey guys and im glad you all joined me on it. this was definetly my fave family and one that was really important to me because I made steve and june during a time in my life where things were very uncertain & I was going through a lot of changes, so they were pretty much my one contsant for awhile, anyways here are the photos!
so steve and june are still on their little fitness journey together, its a thing that steve has always been into but june wanted to join him cuz she got super into yoga
then as usual they couldnt keep it in their pants
june also got promoted to judge finally, she basically switched career branches after she left Landgraab Industries, but I didnt have any pics of her leaving... but now she works at the local court, and doesnt have to commute to the city anymore which she prefers
then it was Winterfest 🎁 and I decked the halls
lucky elijah got gifted a telescope but I don't remember what we got adelaide
adelaide spent new years with her childhood friend peter (luke's step son) in san myshuno I think she graduated from highschool by now but again, ive lost the photos from her prom... idk what happened to those
the bheeda girls were there too of course, theyre kind of like cousins to adie since shes very close with them even though theyre not even related AHAHAHA
she also met a mysterious stranger named jolene who she later kissed at a house party, she kind of stopped seeing landon because the two of them would always fight, and I think she just had enough
steve and moose cuteness
and a makeover for elijah in prepartion for his YA life stage (he sometimes wears contact lenses now)
THEN a major event in steve's life, but he spoke with june and she persuaded him to finally reconnect with his younger sister, Claire, who he has kind of been no contact with since he was a teenager (mostly because he cut off contact with his parents)
later in spring, the weather started to get nice, so steve and june threw a BBQ / get together with all their friends in the yard
sita and elijah also reconnected as they hadnt really seen eachother since they were toddlers and sita quite liked him :eyes:
then when everyone was gone, steve & june enjoyed some quality time together in the new pool...
meanwhile elijah and sita got cozy and 'watched' a movie teehee
ALSO big news from Raj FINALLY he couldnt make it to the BBQ cuz he and julia just had TWINS
adelaide also worked her final shift at the country club and she and her coworkers played some foosball behind their manager's back

Monday 14th October 2024
Theatre day today at the tiny Drama venue within the Sydney Opera complex, so after 18,000 steps yesterday walking to the Spit, we thought it prudent to take it easy this morning. Necessary as well as prudent because precipitation is definitely in sight, if not far away. Well this is Spring after all. The schools have gone back this morning after their holiday and suburbia, usually quiet anyway, has returned to the hallowed cloisters of the norm. It's true we did get the whiff of a small party/ bbq yesterday but the Aussies don't make a fuss. It's also true, it seems, that instead of making a mess at home, convocations gather on grassy places by the beach; impressive table networks, mass catering equipment and food galore sufficient for the 5,000 mystically appear with no outward concerns for shelter but usually under trees seeking protection from the sun rather than rain as would be the case in the UK. As we crossed Clontarf Beach yesterday there were many such groups each having a very jolly relaxing time, well practised as though a very regular activity was taking place. The local authority amenity BBQs were also being fully exercised.
So this morning it was a book in the modest garden and for some, the Archers on catch-up.
After an early lunchtime egg and ham sandwich we set off on the 173X to the City, first stop Museum of Contemporary Art on Circular Quay.
I have to say that I must be a lapsed Modern Art appreciator. The first exhibition we innocently submitted to was by a 74 year old Contemporary Australian artist, Julie Rrap who possibly for the security or anonymity it offered reversed her given name of Parr. Julie's work expresses her interest in images of the body, especially the female body, mainly as far as I could tell, hers. The big screen showed herself sitting naked on a very big sheet of white paper holding a camera in one hand and a big stick of charcoal in the other. The aim of the game was to rotate and draw around various parts, hands, feet, legs and the stunning result was a very large scribble in a sort of spirographic form. Well that was good wasn't it! On the way into the area was a little sign which said there was adult content and the establishment would not stand for any lude or provocative behaviour. Moving on we came across a sort of patio made up of small tiles which you were invited to trespass upon. All the while there is a kind of drilling noise, regular but in pulses. Somewhat perplexed about the image I was to take away, I enquired of the attendant what the meaning was of the noise. I agree she said, it's SO annoying, it's been going on all day. They are doing some work in the next room. Oh I said, it's nothing to do with the artwork then? No, she said with inflection, and looked at me like I was an idiot.
We would have left there and then but it was raining so we wandered around some other idiotic displays.
Contemporary Art and me are on different planets.
Then it was to an early dinner before the show. We dashed through the rain to a very nearly closed food hall between the IBM office and Woolworths. Saving an Indian meal or two from a night in the bin, we secured two Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka plates with nan bread, which was filling if nothing else. Sadly, due to the viscosity of the sauce and my careless eating habits, I ended up sharing memories of the meal encoded within the fabric of my shorts with my fellow theatre goers at the Sydney Opera House!
The billing for Julia said this 'In 2012, Australia's first female prime minister, Julia Gillard, gave a speech that sent shockwaves around the world'. Justine Clarke plays Julia Gillard in a powerful monologue representation of her premiership but starting her story from her early beginnings in Barry, South Wales. The influences of her mining roots, the stories of the 1960 disaster at Six Bells colliery, the 1966 tragic loss at Aberfan shaped her thinking for justice. Moving to Adelaide in 1966 as £10 poms, she determined to study law. The play builds us to the speech on 9th October 2012 when in parliament and as PM she has to both condemn the actions of the Speaker of the House, Peter Slipper, for making sexist, misogynistic comments in a text message, whilst ensuring that her position remained firm in a minority government. She was being attacked by the the leader of the opposition party in a no confidence motion by, Tony Abbott. The speech that sent shockwaves around the world turned the tables on Abbott, pointing the finger at multiple examples of hypocrisy, sexism and misogyny by Abbott himself! Brilliant play, brilliant performance by Justine and incredibly interesting subject even to someone from the Motherland. As she donned the red wig and slipped into the power jacket, Justine became Julia and boomed out the acclaimed speech. She took a standing ovation from all corners of the stalls.
Ferry back to Manly, then with 30 minutes to spare we thought how nice it would be to finish a great day out with a small beer in the Bavarian. Quarter past nine it was, sorry we are now closed they said, it's Monday! Wow, you Australians sure know how to party! Same for all the other pubs in town!
ps. Mince pies seen in Coles!

The Beatles in Australia/New Zealand: part 6 (part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 7, part 8, part 9)
John and Paul talk to Bob about Adelaide fans in bins, Mad Mal and there's nothing wrong with our Jim
Bob: Would you say... Paul: Well, I'm in the Beatles room now and, I was just out on the balcony before, and there were three or four people outside there. None of them waving. Bob: How many would you say were there, John? John: About four million, I reckon Bob: Actually, I'd say between five and ten million, I wouldn't like to count them, and hundreds of them in a... been there all day, does this happen... Paul: In a bin?! John: In a bin all day! Paul: Hundreds of them, in a bin all day John: It's the record, must be the record Paul: You see? They must have gone in a bin all day... John: Yes, I sort of woke up at 7 o'clock and thought 'oh, it must be late', and I looked at my watch and thought 'oh no, I've got it wrong,' you know... so I popped off to sleep again, sorry folks Bob: Actually there would have been 200 people there I think at 7 or 8 o'clock this morning, and I wanted to know if this sort of thing's been happening elsewhere in the world... I've seen it in Amsterdam, but what about, you know New York... is this bigger than New York? John: Yeah... oh, it's bigger than New York, but they were outside the hotel... some, a lot of them got in in New York, you know, finding them in strange bathrooms and things like that Paul: The New York hotel was a bit higher though, you know, it was a great big skyscraper, this is... Bob: This is the lowest building we've been in - two storeys! Paul: Yes! They're just here Bob: It's been a fine day in Australia, and you haven't been out to, been able to get out... there were talks that you were going to BBQs, to see an Australian Rules football match etc, but you're still in the hotel John: Well, we never watch football matches anyway, but we like to go out, but it's a bit difficult, isn't it? Bob: Yes, I believe tonight you're going to watch yourselves on television, and then you're going to listen to... your show will be broadcast tonight, you're aware of that? John: Yes, oh we know that, we saw you last night recording it Bob: Err, what did you think of the reaction in the crowd here in Adelaide? John: Great, you know... that's all you can say, people give a... marvellous, it was, you know. It was wild, man! Wild, baby! Paul: Wiiild babe! Woo! Bob: Keep going... Paul: It's Mad Mal - he's back again Bob: Playing mad monkey business Paul: Yeah... John: Cut that out, Mal! Paul: Yeah, cut that out, Mal - we've had enough of that John: Listen, can we get this telegram in? Bob: Ah, yes John: There's a telegram here that says 'Did you see 'Welcome Beatles' nearing landing? Reply: Julie Hodgkinson, Therbarton... Thebarton... Thebarton Girls Technical High School'. Well, we did see it, so we want to thank you all, we saw it out of the plane just as we were coming in, in the schoolyard, and we saw you all jumping up and down, and we were waving, but you couldn't see us. So thanks very much, folks. Paul: Do you know what it was, Bob? These girls in the school got a big piece, I don't know, of material or something, and it had 'Welcome' and 'Beatles' written on two big pieces. They'd laid it out in the schoolyard, because they couldn't get to see us. You know, just in case anyone's wondering what it was, so thank you girls, thank you. Bob: I see in this morning's paper that some 200 schoolgirls staged a sit-down strike at lunchtime yesterday, because they were not allowed to listen to the Beatles broadcast of their arrival on their transistor radios - did you hear about that? Paul: No... John: It's a bit mean Paul: That's tight, in'it? John: I read also that we were only 220 yards away, and they weren't allowed out, but... some people are like that. Never mind. Bob: That's a kind word from John. Now, I want to go over and talk to Jimmie, because Jimmie I've heard... Jimmie: (screams) (laughter) Paul: There's nothing wrong with our Jim

Jules and Azalea are both scared of bees and when one buzz by, they hug the nearest person beside them… Jacob.
It was a sunny day in London and they were at a park having a little bbq. Gisela and Adelaide were the two who were cooking with Cairo being annoying. There was a sudden buzz, with Azalea and Jules being really scared of bees, even though Gisela tells them (constantly) that they aren’t violent and only sting when they are scared. Always explaining the importance of them. They do the normal scared swatting and running away awkwardly, they both were either side of Jacob and they both hug him, trying to shield themselves. ‘Get off me man’ the dutchman moaning and pulling them both off him.

Discussions of Queerness w/ Luca and Nico
Short little thing, a scene that wouldn't be in Blackwater Depths but generally alluded to. Nico asks questions in his normal fashion, Luca keeps up to the best of his ability.
“Luca, how did you know you were trans? Or queer? Or whatever?” Nico sits down heavily next to where Luca is slowly sipping from a beer at the edge of yet another one of Ellis’ summer bbq’s. He jumps at the sudden influx of words from the younger man as he sits down on his knees next to Luca. If he didn’t already know how old Nico was, he would have expected he was a teenager, he had one of those youthful faces.
“What?” Luca asks, deep confusion evident in his voice. He would have expected Nico to ask someone like Ellis this question. “I thought you would ask Ellis a question like this.” He states. Nico shrugs.
“Ellis knows a lot, and he’s helped a lot over the years too! But he can only do so much, he’s not trans.”
“Mmm… fair enough. A… are you?” Luca has never been good at conversations like this, he doesn’t come out to people unless he has to because no one needs to know. He’s queer but he just wants it to be left at that, there’s better people to talk to for community than him, especially with his missing decade.
“Yeah! I mean. I guess? I’ve gone by Nico for years but that’s just because I wasn’t super comfortable with my birth name, not that I hate it or anything, it’s just not what I wanna be publicly called most of the time. I…” His eyebrows knit together and he bites his bottom lip.
“I just, while I’ve known Ellis since I was little because he helped out my mom when I was young, and there’s a few other queer people my age in town and have been. I just… never really started thinking about it all until recently. Well. The gender thing, I don’t know. I’m pretty ambivalent about it all, I never grew up with harsh restrictions or even thinking about it until the last handful of years.” Luca follows to the best of his ability, Nico talks fast and talks with his hands, he processes it all, but takes a moment to do so. He reaches up and scratches his cheek and sighs softly.
“I haven’t always known. I really didn’t care ‘til I was a teenager, things started feeling just slightly wrong. I did some research and realized that I think I would have been a lot more comfortable as a guy. Sort of a guy. Man adjacent bisexual, queer as hell.
“That’s just what I’ve been calling myself, queer.”
“S’a good word. Simple, easier than describin’ whatever might be goin’ on. What do you wanna go by?” Luca settles back in the shitty little lawn chair he dragged down, looking over at Nico, who turns his eyes to the sky in concentration.
“I think I just wanna add on a ‘they’ to what I already have going on. For now. That’s nice. Like you!” Luca feels himself flush a but when Nico looks at him again, the kids smile his bright and wide. Kid. The man is almost in his late 20’s. Still, they’ve got a youthfulness to him that Luca loves and is also drained by at times. He raises his beer in a little cheer.
“Fuck yeah, t’ queerness.” He doesn’t shout it, but he does knock his can against the bottle of whatever Nico has in their hand. They laugh, eyes bright.
“Yes! Fuck yeah!” Nico knocks his bottle against Luca’s beer and the two take a swig of their respective drinks.
“You gon’ tell Adelaide?”
“Why would I tell her?”
“Now don’t be dense, your crush on the pretty school teacher is about as obvious as mine on a certain bait shop owner.” Luca gives Nico a little grin, chuckling when the other flushes a bit. Luca didn’t talk about his thing for Ellis out loud much, not even to himself, but he’s not gonna be dense when he knows Adelaide and Nico rib him all the damn time on said infatuation.
“I’ve brought it up before with her, on occasion, she’s patient and she knows a lot about that stuff.”
“We’ve got us a nice lil group of queer people here it seems.” Luca chuckles, Nico mostly thinks it’s just the four of them; Luca, Adelaide, Ellis, and him. He won't bring up the last individual at this moment, it’s not his to talk about. But with the way Finch and Nico work together and how Nico annoyed his way into a friendship with the guy, he might find out eventually.
“We do! And there’s others, it’s so cool that there’s so many in the area.’
“We flock together, don’t we?”
“Who flocks where?” Ellis’ deep voices sounds, Nico and Luca looking up as the bear of a man walks over towards the two of them.
“Queer folk flock to one another.” Luca says with a smile up at the man. He laughs and nods his head.
“Aye, that we do! And I couldn’t be happier for it.”

Planning a 2024 Classic Mercedes Road trip - The Long way Euround
Each of the last two years, I have done an extended road trip in Classic Mercedes. I have found them so enjoyable that it has become an annual event. There is such a sense of adventure exploring our beautiful country in a classic car. There is even more of a sense of adventure avoiding motorways and driving exclusively on back roads, through great scenery and interesting towns. In 2022, I went with a group of friends to Adelaide via Victoria and The Great Ocean Road, before returning via Broken Hill. Last year, we attended the MBCV concours event taking the mountain roads there, and the inland route back. This year, the same group that went to Victoria are going back, but this time the Long way Euround.
Like last year, we have built the trip around a car show. In this case, the Australian National Show and Shine in Euroa. This is a big car show set in Seven Creeks park. We had a bit of a scare earlier in the year when the show was slated to be cancelled, but the organizers were able to get more volunteers in time. As with last year, these will all be classic Mercedes, including two 108s - a 280S and a 280SE 3.5, three 107s - two 450SLCs and a 500SL, a 126 380SEC, 123 280CE and three 124s - a 300CE, 300TE and E280T.
Day 0 To avoid getting stuck in Sydney traffic on the first day, our trip starts in Bathurst. The plan is for everyone to make their way to Bathurst in their own time, refuel their car and allow us to make an early start the next day. I'll be working a full day, so this will be like another night drive for me. The distance will be different for everyone in the group, but for me it will be 216km. Day 1 On our first official day of the trip, we're taking the inland route to the Murray river, before following the river west. We'll initially go through mid sized towns such as Cowra, Young and Gundagai, while avoiding the M31. There is a very short section of about 10km which is shared with the route from last year, but otherwise it's all different. Once we hit the river, we'll alternate between the NSW and Victorian side, going through some of the smaller towns before finishing up in Cobram. We'll cover 657km on the first day and it should be a fairly relaxed day as we don't have any specific deadlines. Day 2 The second day will be a busier day. We'll continue our Murray River tour, getting as far along as Robinvale. This will take us through famous Murray towns like Euchca and Swan Hill. In the afternoon, we'll do a portion of the western Victorian silo art trail. This is a series of grain silos with murals from artists painted on them. The official silo art tour is quite extensive, however, due to time constraints we've planned to visit 7 of them. Depending on how long it takes, we can cut out the last couple. On Day 2, we'll cover 746km, finishing up in Horsham. Day 3 Day three will be an easier day. We'll start by doing a scenic drive through the Grampians National Park. In the afternoon, we'll visit a Benz wrecker, and optionally a metal working shop. We'll finish our day in Bendigo, where we will be able to wash our cars for the show on day 4. On day 3, we cover 414km. Day 4 Day four is the Australian National Show and Shine in Euroa. We've got a section for our ten cars near where MBCV have their allocation. We'll stay at the show for the morning, before taking some scenic roads to the eastern side of Melbourne. These roads are quite windy and should be far more interesting to drive on than the motorway. We cover 510km on day 4. In the evening, MBCV have kindly offered to host us for a BBQ at their club rooms. Having visited their club rooms last year, our group from NSW has serious club room envy!
Day 5 Day five we leave Melbourne and tour through Gippsland hugging the coast. Last year due to time constraints we took the more direct route through Traralgon. In the afternoon, we'll stop at the Gippsland Vehicle Collection in Maffra. After that we continue along the coast through Orbost, before turning north to Bombala where we stop for the night. Day 5 is a fairly relaxed day where we cover 604km. Day 6 Our final day we head north from Bombala towards Cooma. We couldn't take the more alpine roads, as chains are required until after the long weekend, and we are driving on the actual long weekend. From Cooma, we continue north towards Canberra. This is the only repeat leg from last year, but in the opposite direction. However, from Canberra, instead of taking the road through Oberon, we take the parallel road through Tuena. This takes us up near Bathurst and Lake Lyall.
As with last year, we go our separate ways at Lithgow. The shared drive is 515km, and overall I will do 658km on day 6. Read the full article

How To Choose The Best Decking For Your Climate And Lifestyle?
Picture this: a sunny afternoon in Adelaide, the BBQ sizzling, and your family gathered on your dream deck. But wait—before sending out invites for that housewarming party, let’s talk decking.
Choosing the right decking material isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about ensuring your deck can handle Adelaide’s unique climate and fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. So, let’s dive into how you can make the best choice for Best Decking Adelaide!
Understanding Your Climate: Why It Matters
Adelaide is known for its Mediterranean climate: hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Your decking material must withstand this weather without fading, warping, or becoming a hazard. But it’s not just about surviving the weather; it’s about thriving in it!
Timber Decking: A Classic Choice with a Twist
Timber decking is a popular choice for many homes in Adelaide. It’s naturally beautiful and adds warmth to any outdoor space. However, not all timber is created equal.
Hardwoods like Merbau and Spotted Gum are great options for decking Adelaide because they’re dense and naturally resistant to termites and decay. But remember, timber requires regular maintenance—like staining and sealing—to keep it looking its best.
Composite Decking: The Low-Maintenance Marvel
If spending weekends sanding and sealing isn’t your idea of fun, composite decking might be your perfect match. Made from wood fibres and recycled plastic, composite decking is incredibly durable and resistant to the harsh Adelaide sun.
It won’t warp, splinter, or require much more than a quick wash to stay looking fresh. Plus, it’s an eco-friendly option for those who want to minimise their environmental impact.
PVC Decking: The Ultimate in Weather Resistance
PVC decking is another great option for decking Adelaide, especially if your deck is exposed to direct sunlight or moisture.
This material is 100% plastic, so it’s highly resistant to water, mold, and mildew. PVC decking is also incredibly lightweight and comes in various colours and styles, so you can get the look you want without worrying about the weather taking its toll.
Lifestyle Considerations: Tailoring Your Deck to Your Needs
Your deck isn’t just an extension of your home; it’s an extension of your lifestyle. How you plan to use your deck should play a significant role in your choice of material.
Entertaining: Space and Durability
If you love hosting parties, you’ll want a deck that can handle heavy foot traffic, furniture, and the occasional spill. Composite and PVC decking are ideal for entertaining because they’re durable and low-maintenance.
You won’t have to worry about stains from food or drinks, and they’re sturdy enough to support all your guests without showing wear and tear.
Family-Friendly Decking
Safety is a top priority for families with kids. Timber can be a great choice, but it’s essential to keep it well-maintained to prevent splinters.
Composite and PVC decking offer smoother surfaces less likely to cause injury. Plus, these materials are slip-resistant, making them safer for little ones running around with wet feet.
Eco-Conscious Living
If living sustainably is important to you, composite decking made from recycled materials is an excellent choice.
Not only are you giving new life to what would otherwise be waste, but you’re also choosing a product built to last, reducing the need for replacement and repairs.
Final Thoughts: Choosing the Right Decking for Your Climate and Lifestyle
Choosing the best decking for your home in Adelaide doesn’t have to be overwhelming. By considering the climate and how you plan to use your deck, you can find the perfect material that will look great and last for years.
Whether you go with the natural beauty of timber, the low-maintenance convenience of composite, or the durability of PVC, your deck will be the perfect spot for making memories.
So, when you’re ready to make your deck dreams a reality, remember to choose wisely. After all, decking Adelaide is more than just a project—it’s an investment in your home and your lifestyle.
