Army Aviation performs virtual simulation to certify Readiness Force

The Army Aviation Command (CAvEx), carried out, between May 2 and 13, Operation 3 Moons. The objective was to carry out the training of the Army Aviation Command and the certification of the 1st Army Aviation Battalion (1st BAvEx) in the specialized module of the Ground Force Readiness Force.

The simulated exercise took place in two phases: the constructive simulation and, from the 9th, the virtual simulation.

The operation included all the Army's military aviation organizations, including those external to the Army Aviation Command: the 3rd and 4th Army Aviation Battalions, Campo Grande (MS) and Manaus (AM) respectively.

During the operation, advanced techniques and training in relation to flights with night vision goggles were improved and reinforced. In the first phase, the units received the operating orders, made the planning and issued their orders. Once this was done, the war game began through the execution of fragmented orders. In the second phase, the crews of the aviation battalions performed the tactical missions in the flight simulators of the Flight Simulation Division of the Army Aviation Instruction Center (CIAvEx).

O Comando Militar do Norte, por intermédio do 52° Batalhão de Infantaria de Selva, realizou o Estágio de Adaptação às Operações Aeromóveis, apoiado pelo 4º Batalhão de Aviação do Exército (4º BAvEx), com a participação de 35 militares. Durante o estágio foram ministradas diversas instruções, tais como: Emprego tático da Aviação do Exército, Princípios Doutrinários das Operações Aeromóveis, Carregamento e Embarque, Zona de Pouso de Helicópteros, Comunicações nas Operações Aeromóveis, Segurança no Voo, Técnicas Aeromóveis (Rapel, Fast Rope e Helocasting), Orientação, Peculiaridades das Aeronaves da Aviação do Exército, dentre outras. Thermal Studying Dry Chemicals as Hygienically Safe Extinguishing Substances by  Iveta Marková* in Biomedical Journal of Scientific & Technical Research https://biomedres.us/fulltexts/BJSTR.MS.ID.002175.php Dry chemicals are chemicals used in the food industry as preservatives and in agriculture as fertilizers. Due to their chemical composition, they can used as extinguishing agents. Dry chemicals are extinguishing powders, which currently belong to more principal extinguishing agents that are used for the rapid and initial firefighting. For the purposes of analysis, the samples were chosen Furex and Bavex Dry chemicals, introduced into the combustion zone, operate mostly insulatively until they are heat degradable. Their effect depends on the degree of dispersion and deposition rate. For the purposes of monitoring of the thermal lability and the subsequent disintegration of extinguishing powder was chosen the analytical method of TG, DTG - thermogravimetry, where is monitored the weight loss of samples depending on the continuous heating (10°C/min in the air atmosphere). TG curves were obtained as the function of dependence of weight loss from increasing temperature. The thermal profiles presented in form of TGA curves were comparable for studied samples. All TGA curves were divided into two stages. Despite these facts, we found the certain temperature stability up to order 170°C for all samples of extinguishing powders. Dry chemicals called extinguishing powders are prepared by mixing inorganic and organic solids, ground to the prescribed particle size. These are the following dry chemicals: sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3, potassium bicarbonate KHCO3, Ammonia Bicarbonate NH4HCO3, diammonium hydrogen phosphate (NH4)2HPO4, ammonium dihydrogenphosphate NH4H2PO4, diammonium sulfate (NH4)2SO4, disodium sulphate Na2SO4, potassium sulfate K2SO4, sodium chloride NaCl and potassium chloride KCl [1-7]. Specific extinguishing powders are sodium-bicarbonate-based dry chemical [8]. Based on the conclusions of experiments, the size of powder particles was set to 0.1 mm [1-3,6]. But Ewening et al. [9] showed that the overall effectiveness of each dry chemical depends on its particle size, the degree of its decomposition and/or vaporization. All tested particles of chemical below a unique limiting size completely decompose and/or vaporize in the tested fire and have the same extinguishing effectiveness [9,10].
