pharmaceutical reps will spend an hour of your time talking up their meds (ignoring the fact that you don't even make prescription decisions) then finish out with "oh btw it's only covered on one very specific and obscure plan and for everyone else it's $700. ok byeeeee go make those sales 😘" leave me alone
#bausch and lomb this one goes out to you. you make my life so difficult#'but in 3 years we might be on medicare formulary!' i don't believe you.

impressive accessible product design: whoever first thought of making contacts lens case caps 2 different colors deserves an award. like this:

this is literally the Bausch + Lomb case I use for one pair of my lenses. I do think it could be improved upon, like making the "L" more visible, but there are decent sized bumps that form an L on the white side, which I appreciate. A lot of people won't be able to read an L with their contacts out, but in this case they'll be able to feel the L or just tell the difference between white & green.
and anyone who manufactures single-color contacts lens cases should be drawn and quartered. I hate them so bad. especially the ~aesthetic~ ones that don't even have L & R on the caps. I understand that not everyone has different L & R prescriptions but it's still annoying that people who do are excluded from being able to use the cutesy cases because apparently it's not ~cute~ or ~aesthetic~ to put L & R on the caps. two examples:

or if they DO put L or R on there then a lot of times it's too tiny or just fucking invisible for any blind person to be able to read without their contacts in

↑ these ones have letters but they're completely invisible from head on & the letters aren't tactile enough to really feel the difference with your fingertips
it just feels borderline cruel that a lot of the non-boring cases are inaccessible, y'know? and part of me wants to blame the cosplayification of contact lenses
and on the cosplayification of contact lenses: I have never had a pair of lenses dry out on me. even when I leave them alone for a year. you wanna know why? because I'm using quality cases like the Bausch+ Lomb ones up top.
the cutesy aesthetic cases don't have tight enough seals to be put aside for a year without constant solution refills, and that's why so many cosplayers complain about their contacts drying out. it's fine to have a case with a looser seal if you're using the contacts often, but if you intend to put them aside and not touch them for 6+ months then you should really just spend money for a proper lens case. and like I was talking about, I wish they made cute lens cases. unfortunately they don't. you take the ugly green ones or you deal with your contacts drying out and cracking. your pick.
