TMayNT Day 12: Best Turtle Vehicle

Day 12 of @tmaynt Prompt: Best Turtle Vehicle! And today on another episode of "VDragon sucks at drawing things but will still do it as if she can do anything right" we have my attempt at drawing the Battle Shell! I love this vehicle, and I'm not gunna lie, kinda wish it was real! I'd love to try driving it, if not at least take a ride in it!

Love the newest Kendratello update 🫠. Can't help but wonder, how much do Raph and Leo try to protect Mikey from just how dark Donnie's situation got or even can they? I'm assuming Mikey was there for the rescue, like they can't keep him safe from everything, not least when Donnie starts having seizures.

Leo thinks Mikey has a right to know, but also, at the same time, this is too heavy for any of them. Leo has no idea what to do, considering he’s always treated Mikey like he was capable. Raph doesn’t want Mikey to know, at all. Angelo’s way of helping is analyzing things very emotionally. Raph is worried that his emphatic need to be the fixer of all their family’s issues, will blow back on him, and Donnie. They have to tread very carefully from here on. They were already struggling with Donnie being terrified of them, this is a whole other Pandora’s box that’s been opened.

currently Going Through It™ and i started thinking about how burnout could affect donnie. personally, the tiniest thing going wrong feels so much worse than it actually is. knowing he struggles with equating his self worth to his tech i can see this being a source of frustration for him during these periods.

I told myself my drawings didn't need to be perfect. I started drawing, and it seemed to help. Don't you ever want to get up at three am to go treasure hunting?

Ah thank you! ; w ; I just think they're fun <;3 he deserves piercings... And yeee he has quite a few tattoos as well that he builds up over the years--

both his arms host meticulously planned, carefully considered, personal and meaningful full-sleeve pieces that were done professionally by sorrelshine's older sister, leafwhistle (she's the one who pierced donnie's eyebrow in that comic!)

his legs are where everything else goes. there are dozens of different pieces patchworked all over-- some done by leafwhistle, some by other artists, some by sorrelshine (who is not a professional, let it be known, but knows how to use a tattoo gun!), some even done by himself. he let leo do one once. mikey has done several. there's everything from stick-and-poke stars to little grayscale robots to brightly colored flowers down here, and he'll shove new things wherever they'll fit whenever he feels the urge.

Y’all I just caught the sweetest continuity moment in Rise. One of the last times they fought… wild animal Shredder(?), Donnie threw literally everything he had at him and the Shredder still overpowered him in a matter of seconds, destroying his battle shell.

This terrifies the shit out of him because… of fucking course it does, and for the rest of the fight Donnie isn’t really like himself. He’s holding his own ok and doing what needs to be done, but he’s visibly shaky and apprehensive to kind of an alarming degree for him. There’s also pretty good reason to believe he was legitimately injured based on how deep the marks appear to be.

And then weeks later the second they see Shredder again (actually recognizing him that is), Raph’s immediate thought is to protect Donnie.

Edit: I FORGOT THE LAST PICTURE SO THIS WAS UP FOR HOURS AND MADE NO SENSE 😭
