The princess stretch, she is still on her throne. Instead of curiosity and happiness in her eyes, it is dull and apathetic. Rose, Umbros-Quinn, Lamia, and Adrianna-Marie are worry, worry about what happens to Dream Mewni when they're gone, because now they are unable to access it now. That is why they are going to Azazel's Mewni to see what is going on. That is where they met someone calls himself, The Prince. The Mewni in Azazel's universe is deserted. It is not because there are no people, monsters, demons, pony heads, and mewmans are gone, they are here physically, they are just acting like literal zombies or a rusted robot. Maybe both because they are looking tired on the inside. What is really mysterious is that everyone is using magic. For everything!! It is true that magic is for everyone (that is what Elize and Luminous say) well not literally everyone, you can say magic belongs to some/most people. There are reasons that some people do not have magic. Like there are those who decide to not use magic, those who are incompatible to magic or born without magic, and there is magic allergy (that concept can exist in the multiverse!).
"Babe! You are here," said The Prince, embracing his beloved. Instead of feeling warmth and being so affectionate by hugging him back, the princess punch the prince in the face. The three Tomstar kids and Adrianne let out a gasp, bewildered by what happens.
"That really hurts Azazel!" whimpered the prince, rubbing his face, shock by his own beloved princess punched her in the face. “We’re lovers, we should discuss how we feels in order to deal with problems we each facing so it won’t affect our relationship.”
The princess just yawned? Well it is quite obvious that she have been in suspended animation for so long. It does make sense. However, there is one thing that does not add up. She would need support with walking for sleeping for 24/7 her whole life. The princess is disgust by what the prince have said.
“Ew, you are not THAT attractive. Plus being in a relationship is too much of an effort. Ugh….” Said The Lost Princess. Adrianne-Marie felt pity for the prince that now that their long-term relationship is now crumbling apart. Umbros-Quinn looks at ‘The Lost Princess’. Her face seem to be tired. She blink very slower and opening it at the same speed. A surge of paranoia hits her hard, as Umbros-Quinn search through her purse to get a certain glyph, she point her weapon, her wand at ‘The Lost Princess’. ‘The Lost Princess’ looks at Umbros-Quinn annoyed, anger, and tired as her brain is processing that this Tomstar figure it out. She let out a sigh.
“I think there’s been some confusion,” said The Princess of Life. She place her hand on her chest. “I am not the one in trouble here.”
“What?” Said the prince, in confusion, the same expression Lamia is feeling. The princess vaguely show emotion. “There is only four of you… Opps, I miscounted. Great groan. There is only five of you,” said The Lost Princess, glaring at Adrianna-Marie, familiar with her as if they just met before. "And you are one of the last people I wants to see right now." She said acidly.
“This is the third time I am meeting you….” said Adrianne-Marie.
"Oh come on? You don't remember what happened back in... The Citadel?"
Adrianne-Marie's eyes are widened in astonishment, how did Azazel know about The Citadel of Starco? Is she that omnipotence? No wonder why she is consider a goddess of The Magic Realm after Glossaryck's death.
"Wow, you truly are a goddess, Azazel." Adrianna-Marie complimented, unintentionally struck 'Azazel' hard. Her lips and eye twitched. Azazel, Azazel, Azazel!!! Why does everyone have to be praising her, and not her?!?
"Sister, that is not Azazel," said Umbros-Quinn, getting defensive for her half-sister, Adrianna-Marie. Adrianna-Marie is totally confuses about it. She found it. The wand touch the 'Gauntlet' glyph, and the wand transforms into an equipped gauntlet. Charging up with magic, Umbros-Quinn dash toward 'Azazel', then make an impactful punch across the face. 'Azazel' stares at Umbros-Quinn, not too unamused that it been a long time since her face get punched! 'Azazel' summons a keytar, confirming Umbros-Quinn's suspicious. "Azazel' raise her right arm then starting to play music at full blast, sending Umbros-Quinn flying. Rose fly and caught her interdimensional sister. The princess swipe herself, revealing that the body they are seeing right now is under a possession of someone they (Rose, Adrianna-Marie, and Umbros-Quinn) are very familiar off. Lamia, Adrianna, Rose, and Umbros-Quinn’s face are in horror. Suddenly their wands, except for Umbros-Quinn's, are taken away by a Leviato spell cast by a song playing in the background, and impenetrable trap cage is form, trapping them.
“You need more than that to rescue your princess. She is in another castle.”
Morphea.
“Morphea, you son of a bitch! Where did you take Azazel?!?” Said Umbros-Quinn, holding the bar rails. Lamia is shock to actually encounter one of the seven notorious criminals to ever attacked The Citadel of Starco and tried to kill almost all the Starco children who were in the citadel. With no remorse. Rose’s face shrouded in darkness. Adriana-Marie poke Umbros-Quinn in the shoulder, then pointing at Morphea. Adrianna-Marie, and now Umbros-Quinn can see how Morphea is able to change features to be exactly like Azazel and talk like her. The crystal around her neck. A droid walking up on Morphea's shoulder. The robots, Pride made. The droid then show a holographic projection of Azazel, her real body to be exact, in what appears to be the Realm of Magic (Morphea's Universe's Realm of Magic). "Here's your answer," Morphea said menacingly. "Arsehole!" said Umbros-Quinn. A couple of Pride's robots become one with the machine that Azazel's real body is hooked up to the monstrosity mechanical fusion. Lamia freeze and shiver, feeling cold and wet, beneath her feet. She looks down at the floor. The floor is covers in water. She see something swimming underneath them.
“NOT AGA-!!” Both the two Tomstars (Rose and Umbros-Quinn) screamed, and their scream cut short as they are pull under. The young prince knew he was naive, but he’d never consider himself a fool until now…. At the bottom of Morphea’s ocean floor. The Dreamy Siren watching the bubbles pop. One after another. Satisfied. “I finally taken care of those Tomstar kids and one Starco kid from foiling my plans,” said Morphea, letting out a small sigh of relief. Her shoulders lower to relax a bit. She stare at the holographic image of the Lost Princess in pain, glaring at Morphea through her avatar of The Spellbook since her eyes from her real body are now blind thanks to the army of robots. Her real body is struggling to be free from her possession. Morphea settle herself down on the empty throne. Morphea, picking up The Book of Spells, (not her Book of Spells, The Princess of Life's Book of Spells), placed on the arm of the throne chair, reading it, she close the book with a hard thump. Her fingers touching the smooth white keys from The Royal Keytar. Morphea plays a deep and electric simulating music to harmonize with the machinery, that the avatar's eyes turn blue. The Lost Princess, hook up to her machine, now fuse with Pride's bots sharing the same pain as her avatar. Her cheek marks shine brightly. The Lost Princess and the avatar cry out an anguished scream. Blood streaming down on her face, both avatar and her real body. Mewni's ground begins to shake, as the line between fictional and reality collided as the ocean border of The Dreamscape Waterfolk Kingdom and ocean border of The Waterfall Kingdom become one, a gigantic nightmarish leviathan emerged from the water, going on a rampage, capturing the civillains by swallowing them. The civilians, whose are inside the leviathan, are put to sleep in a form of a lullaby, and fuelling them with magic bestow upon them. Trapping them in an eternal nightmare in their sleep while their 'shells' are command by their captor.
Tumblr media
Underneath the ocean floor in Dreamscape Mewni, Lamia, separated from her party, is slipping in and out of conscious, due to oxygen running out and hearing the song from the mermaid. It is relaxing. At the same time, giving her stress and absolutely angry.
"I am not going to let Mewni fall on my watch!"
Lamia opens her eyes wide.
Lamia use her symbiote to have her morph into her suit, able to breathe underwater. Lamia turns to face the mermaids, contoured with rage and shoulders tensing up. The spell have no effect on Morphea's mermaids at all. Lamia is contours in more rage. She change her wand into a harpoon. She locks on her target.
Tumblr media
"MERMAID SKEWER!!!"
The skewer become large, impaling the mermaids in the abdomen and send them flying (She make sure not to slice of the tail from any of the mermaid. Under her ancestor, Crescenta the Eager's law, slicing off a mermaid's tail will prevent the chance if becoming the queen of her universe). Lamia replicate copies of her symbiote, forming an army to battle the army of mermaids.
Meanwhile Umbros-Quinn, Adrianna, and Rose are in a bubble, containing air, inside. Rose create noise-cancelling headphone for both herself, Umbros-Quinn, and the prince, whose is in a state of shock and remorse of being responsible for putting Mewni in danger. For the life of his beloved is now in danger by the hand of a evilest Ostar in history of the multiverse. Umbros-Quinn grabs onto his shoulder, gripping it tight. Her fingernails are piercing his skin, causing him to yelp. The prince looks at Umbros-Quinn. There is no anger in her eyes, just annoyance. The Prince wonders why is the princess is not talking, he does not like the silent treatment she is giving him.
The bubble burst open. Adrianna-Marie manipulate the water and form a bubbles for all of them to breathe easily. Umbros-Quinn start pummelling the mermaids, her eyes are lighten up in defensive and protective to Rose and Adrianna-Marie and silent rage for Morphea being the cause of this, and The Prince's failure to protect his home. Rose and Umbros-Quinn combine their forces to chanted an incantation, sealing the mermaids in a huge runic stone box. Adrianna-Marie trap the mermaids in a whirlpool. Entrapping the mermaids in a whirlpool and a giant runic stone box, girls and The Prince swim away to safety.
"Ok, we are safe for now," said The Prince, then he notice that one of the cambions is missing. "Where is the bloodsucker?"
"Bloodsucker?... Hey! Her names is Lamia!" Adrianna-Marie defend Lamia, then quickly realizes that she is not with them. "He's right, we been separated from Lamia."
The two other Tomstars grimaced that Lamia cannot survive the nightmares The Dreamy Sireen produced. They need to find her. Fast. Otherwise, she will become one of Morphea's magical experimental army. Or worse, become deficiency of blood and becomes a full bloodthirsty monster demon, then either capture to become a weapon or be slayed by Morphea, to show how benevolent she is. Umbros-Quinn and her sisters need to come up with a plan to stop Morphea. So far, Morphea is able be this powerful, thanks to the crystal, once from Aria's destroyed universe, as her shortcut to gain access to a more magic, allowing her to unlock powers inside of Morphea that she never know about. Powerful enough to defeat Azazel. But the downside is that it will take a heavy toll in her body, which is a big advantage for them because the crystal is rightfully wields by one of 'The Eight Crystal Sisters', eight of Star's daughters, each from a different universe, chosen by the crystal itself to be its wielder.... And Morphea is not one of them.

[This prompt is one of the intrudes of the storyline of @citadelstarcosevendeadlysins’ The Citadel of Starco: The Saga of The Seven Deadly Sins. However this take place in @princekaiofstars's Tomstar kid, Umbros-Quinn's Universe. It is also an after the events of @dangerpack’s Citadel of Starco: The Seven Deadly Sins - seven dangerous and chaotic criminals attack the Starco Citadel and during @darcel-luminous’ The Battle for the Multiverse. But no spoilers of Citadel of Starco: The Saga of The Seven Deadly Sins! Why? Because this prompt is a fanfic of Dreamy_Artz's SVTFOE Next Gen and SVTFOE Metaverse Comic Series, Aria vs. The Other Universe. This is the only one of the two main focuses and no new chapter have not release yet. Do not attack them with hate. Please.]
Lamia is sitting down at a bench, with a towel on her face. She is sweating non-stop since she is training Queen Star’s, Umbros-Quinn’s mother, army of knights. After Lamia was send away for her safety because the Darcelian soldiers appears and invade her universe, starting a war. Thus making Lamia the first Tomstar kid to have her Universe invaded by Darcel, all because she is mind-tricked. Negative feelings throbbing her chest and her mind clouded. Suddenly she is snap back from reality when she felt something cold on her left ear. Lamia removed the towel on her face, turning to face who is making her ear cold. It just only Rose giving Lamia a plastic cup with a solid maroon colored drink that is drizzle in pig’s blood.
“Drink this. It’s not exactly poison. But it’s not exactly tea, either.” Said Rose. The cambion looks at Rose. Then at the cup, the logo is Star Butterfly.
“It is a mixture of ice cappuccino and blood,” said Rose. “The Starbuck’s Blooduccino,”
“Omg! Thanks!” Said Lamia, consuming everything. “Finally! Blood!”
Rose watch the cambion, named Lamia, another child of Tom and Star, her inter-dimensional sister, whose recently came to the metaverse drink the content of the Blooduccino. They been searching for one of the missing crystals, believing that it may be in this universe. The universe of Umbros-Quinn. There is also another reason why she is here in this universe. To have a meeting with the heir of the Butterfly Queendom.
~~
At the Butterfly Queendom’s meeting room, Rose is sitting down at a round table, in front of Umbros-Quinn. The banners are hanged in the current colors of the current era. The two princesses are discussing the latest update on what is happening in the multiverse for Umbros-Quinn. All started with a letter from one of the Glossarycks.
“I have no choice… I got to find the ‘wandering medium’,” Rose admitted, reading a letter from Glossaryck. Umbros-Quinn’s eyes are widen in shock. “You do not have to come along. I am just telling you this, in case anything happen to me. Protects Aria and Lamia and her family.”
Assisting in bringing refugees from Lamia’s universe to her universe to live in Echo Creek/Mewni is one thing because Underwni in Rose’s universe does not accept interdimensional/parallel world travellers taking refuge… This request, protecting Lamia and Aria, is too much since it will lead to other universes finding out about this; “Rose, are you crazy?!? Ok yeah we were tricked! For ‘good’ intentions. However, how will the rest of the residents from the Tomstar Children HQ will reacts to you searching for him.” Said Umbros-Quinn, then tell her the answer for her. “You will be consider a traitor! Especially when the Starco kids who are at a war with each others thanks to that white haired Starco tyrant!”
Rose let out a sigh, Umbros-Quinn is right. Thanks to the battle of the multiverse, after their war with The Seven Deadly Sins in the metaverse, everyone is intense right now in the metaverse. They are focusing on one thing while focusing on their own life in their own universe right now, Darcel and her Mewman Empire came along and ruining everything. However, Rose is still holding onto the letter, not letting go stubbornly. “My Glossaryck and the other Glossarycks trust me an assignment. Their forethoughts behind their riddles sometime scare me because they are accurate. If they tells me to meet him. I have to do it. Beside, I am sure they send him a letter too, to assist Aria.” Rose persuaded Umbros-Quinn. “Plus, you did say that the attacks of the Citadel, the HQ, the Base, and the Asteroid was for a good intention, and most of all I consider him my friend. Which is why….”
Rose lift her handbag up and place on the table. She unzip it, and grab what she is looking for beneath the pouch. Umbros-Quinn saw what she is holding, it is glowing.
“That is… PhBe! Rose, where did you get that?!? And whhhhhhhhy?” Said Umbros-Quinn, waving her hands. The Rabcon chirp and wings are flapping.
She put the small vial of the magical element back into her bag. “I have been trading one of my family’s heirlooms to get this in a vial in order to negotiate with the medium. Duh. He might say no.”
Umbros-Quinn rolled her eyes. “He might say no and still take the PhBe from you.” Said Umbros-Quinn, but seeing the paranoia on Rose’s face. It doesn’t help. “He is a very busy man that doesn’t wants to be disturb.”
“Then… I will have to take the next option for him… I could ask him to [REDACTED]… He might need it,” Rose caved in, suggesting what her next plan is, causing Umbros-Quinn’s mouth to agape. She drop her Starbucks drink. “IF Aria approves of this.”
After telling her Interdimensional sister the trump card in the potential negotiation between her and the medium, Rose slump down and covering her hands with her face. She does not want to be anyone’s enemy. After she went to her universe of the Magic Realm for a few months, it was intense in the Underwni because everyone is in an uproar that their princess went missing. As a result, Stacie is punished severely leading to their friendship broken. Stacie still blamed her, despite none of this is her fault, Rose continue to apologize to her many times. All she did is try to help Stacie get back home. This is the first assignment that Glossaryck given her.
“The Light Mewberty forms are so beautiful,” said Umbros-Quinn, changing the subject to ease the mood.
“Yeah…” Rose agreed, still frowning. “Wish we have one too.” There is a hint of green on her face. The feathery butterfly wings and the usage of wielding light magic. It is consider a privilege for Starco kids only. Greed lingering in her eyes. However she forcefully push that dark feeling down for reasons. Umbros-Quinn see dark circles in Rose’s eyes. She must have been through a lot, and the assignment will affect her even more.
A. She is unsure if Tomstar kids can achieve going through Light Mewberty.
B. Especially when there are demons and demon hybrids in the Empire’s army. So it is hopeless. Utterly hopeless.
C. Darcel have used Lamia to attack the Tomstar Children HQ. The result ended in failure, succeeding in that The Resistance does not accept any Tomstar kids from volunteering to join The Resistance, after the leader give a second thought, fearing that Darcel will mind control to manipulate another Tomstar kid. Topaz Lucitor Butterfly is an exceptional member of The Resistance because she did help out. So she already told The Resistance about The Seven Deadly Sins anyway. It is absolutely not Lamia’s fault at all. Though Lamia is in extreme guilt and do anything to redeem herself which is why she offer to help her siblings prepare themselves for an invasion in their universe.
Rose pull her hair, then pull it back. She clears her throat and become composed to position herself to looks at Princess Umbros-Quinn one more time.
“On to the next topic. My classmates of mine will be graduating from the Multiverse School. On top of that, they will be running a multiversal business after graduating.” Said Rose. Rose gives Umbros-Quinn a folder that hold design of the clothes, pricing, rates, and requests. Umbros-Quinn looks over it with a poker face. “A boutique calls The Cloudy Design. They wants to bring their business here?”
Rose nods. “Correct, if you agree to this, I can arrange you a meeting with Skylar and Diana to have further discussion about The Cloudy Design.”

I'm looking for a trans sensitivity reader (for Marcie) and possibly a poc sensitivity reader (for the monsters vs mewmans plot), so if you're available, please tell me, and we'll figure something out.
Forgive my inability to draw humans, please.
I know this is a big departure from my usual content, so I'd like to make sure you know that watching SVTFOE is not necessary to enjoy this AU, as everything needed to understand the plot is explained in-story. In fact, I'd love to have someone who's never even heard of a svftoe to read it so I can make sure it makes its own logical sense.
Anyways...
(putting this under a read more for your scrolling purposes)
Hi. I'm Sage, and I would like to talk about a show I really liked. The past tense being the operative, as it used to be good, but...
I started watching SVTFOE after watching the great Steven Universe, which meant I had high expectations for it. And it met those expectations! From the beginning I was hooked. It was a good show. But as the seasons went on, it started to... rot.
Now, something to know about me is that I do not invest myself wisely. I love the things I love deeply and with passion. I get attached easily, and I love to theorize about the things I love. So I was heartbroken when SVTFOE ended the way it did, with none of my questions answered.
And when my theories were better than canon, well, that meant I had a new project: a complete rewrite of Star vs. the Forces of Evil. This AU will start similar to canon, but gradually diverge from it until it's something completely new. It will also have five separate "seasons".
So here's my AU: Star and Marcie and The Forces Of Evil (aka samatfoe). This AU will tear apart the scraps of lore that we got from SVTFOE and expand on it and make new lore, all narrated by my lovely OC, Sílthéy. And I promise I will get to as much as possible. If you're worried, check the titles of all of the chapters, which will hopefully reassure you that, yes, I will get to everything (or at least everything I've thought of ;)).
Dramatis Personae:
Star: Star will mostly stay the same in the first few seasons, but I'll try to have her actually grow and mature while staying a good person in the later seasons. She'll also be a bit more fire-aligned, because I wanted to be able to tell my Star and the canon Star apart easily. (She also doesn't get those wings until Mewberty.)
Marcie: is a trans girl. The entire second "episode" will be about her being trans. And I will, again, try to not have her act like a jerk in later seasons. She also won't be an adult trapped in a teenager's body, as that was waaay too weird for me. Instead she won't age in the Neverzone, period, and there will be an episode dedicated to her re-adjusting to Earth and discussing what the whole "spent a decade and a half in eight minutes" thing means for her. And, of course, she'll be more involved with the Mewni plot, as she will be interested in learning the lore behind Mewni from the beginning and push Star to find out more about Mewni.
Ludo: Ludo's story will not effectively end with the Battle for Mewni. He will get a redemption arc, with all the pitfalls and trip-ups that come with that. And all of his flaws and issues will be brought up, now just forgiving him for everything he did because he had bad parents. And Dennis will continue to be a cinnamon roll. Some things never change.
Buff Frog/Yvgeny: will not change. He is good lad.
Toffee: This is the big one. Where to start, and how to start it without spoiling everything I have planned? Well, let me tell you this: Toffee is getting a complete overhaul. For one thing, I now made them agender for various complicated reasons that will be revealed in-story, eventually. And for another thing, they will get an actual backstory and personality! Isn't that a novel idea! And they will not die abruptly and nonsensically in Battle for Mewni, so don't worry about that.
Jackie: Oh, Jackie. You poor dear. Jackie will not be delegated to the role of "one-time love interest who just skateboards out of the plot". First of all, Marcie will only have a squish (a platonic crush) on her, because I don't trust my aro/ace self with the weird things people in romantic love do to get together, but I do know what it's like to desperately want to be friends with someone. Secondly, while she will be out of the spotlight in later seasons, it'll be because she's on an exchange trip to France, not because we're abandoning her character and her world for no good reason.
Janna: never changes. Pretty sure she's the one constant of the multiverse.
Tom: will have his redemption arc earlier in the story so I can use him for things, but other than that will not change much.
Moon: First of all, she will not betray everything her daughter stands for by siding with Mina this time. There are plenty of other ways Mina could rise to power, so there's no need to ruin her character by making her do a stupid, illogical thing that even a five-year-old would see was stupid. I mean, she's still going to be kind of racist, but she's well-established to be level-headed and even a little clever, so she will not do something that would so obviously blow up in her face. Secondly, she will be a bad ruler, hence why Mewni is a total mess, but she will learn and become better and help Star's efforts to improve Mewni.
Glossaryck: is... changing. He won't "lose" his sanity for season three, but he will also not be in a totally heroic role. It's a complicated thing and a bit of a spoiler, so I'll leave it at that. Also, he's a dragon now Because Reasons (no, seriously, I have a reason for it. It's also a spoiler).
River: River will be goofy, like usual, but he won't be plot-destroyingly stupid. I'll try my best to not make you question why he's even king while still making him a foil to Moon. It's the tightrope I must walk.
Angie and Raphael: Will not completely disappear from the plot in later seasons, but will instead be like a second family to Star and will be a refuge when her overbearing Butterfly side gets too much.
Kelly: Will not be involved in a stupid romantic subplot with Marcie. Sorry. Other than that, Kelly will remain pretty much the same, aside from now being tiny, because that's just how she came out in my art. She's pretty cool.
Miss Heinous: Will not be Meteora this time around. I disliked how Heinous hurt so many people and was a horrible person, but as soon as her Tragic Backstory™ was revealed, all that pain and suffering she caused was ignored in favor of making her Super Duper Tragic™. So I'm separating the characters. Don't worry, though, she'll get the backstory and character arc she deserves.
Saint Olga: Saint Olga will be the main motivator for Miss Heinous's actions, as she is desperate to please the robot. Other than that, Saint Olga won't actually get much character. She's a bad guy, pure and simple.
Meteora: will not turn into a baby. She will deal with the consequences of her actions like a mature, responsible sixteen-year-old. But because she's sixteen, things won't be too harsh when she does snap. She'll still have her mother and father to help her and guide her.
Eclipsa: Regarding Eclipsa's design, I tried to make her fat, but... I don't know if it translates well in my art. I'm just not that good at art yet. But aside from that, making her cheekmarks dark gray (spades are a black card, not a red card! That bugged me so unreasonably much), and giving her as much of a connection to Toffee as the show implied, I'm not changing much about her. She was one of the good characters.
Globgor: Will have fought against mewmans in the past, but not have eaten them (what were the writers thinking?! Making your metaphorical poc eat people is... not good). And it will be more of a case of Star and Eclipsa knowing he is good and should be released from the crystal, but the general mewman populace not accepting it, until Cornonation, where he proves he's a good guy.
Shinjai: Is a new character I am thrilled to introduce to you all! She came from me thinking that for someone who supposedly wants to end mewman-monster racism, Star sure doesn't have any monster friends (Buff Frog doesn't count. He's an adult, and they don't really hang out so much). So here's Shinjai! She's a septarian, and is introduced instead of Princess Smooshy in Sleep Spells. She's a very minor minor monster noble, and her family has about as much political power as your average worm on a sidewalk after it rains, but all noble monsters must go to Saint Olga's Reform School for Wayward Royalty, so she runs away and gets help from Star and Marcie. She's mostly made to replace Pony Head: she's spunky and... uh, actually she's nothing like Pony Head. She's also unafraid of asking difficult questions and knows more about the plot than she lets on.
Rasticore: is very different from his canon counterpart: he only allies with Heinous and Saint Olga to keep an eye on them for ~someone~, and thoroughly dislikes them, despite agreeing to their mission. He also can regenerate as quickly as Toffee, he just chooses not to for ~reasons~. He also has a mysterious partner, but we all know it's – *gets clubbed over the head by Síthéy*
Mina: Making fun of mental illnesses isn't funny kids. Therefore, Mina is the only neurotypical member of the cast. She does boring neurotypical things like... I dunno, cleaning? And she's still a threat: bigotry and hatred are not exclusive to people with mental illnesses, after all.
Lilacia: Now, Lilacia Pegasus, the horse formerly known as Pony Head, will... exist. She won't be as overwhelmingly annoying, hopefully, as she is in canon. And to make sure she feels consequences for her actions, there will be a subplot in season two about her and Star growing apart as Star grows and leaves Lilacia's annoying party girl antics behind. Lilacia will have to realize that her immature actions are making Star leave her behind, and she'll have to grow as a person because of it.
Then there's a mysterious character who is very mysterious and does mysterious things and has a mysterious personality and is generally mysterious... mysterious. She'll be introduced in the second season and will be as mysterious as promised, I swear.
And finally, of course, it will be narrated by Sílthéy. She will tell this story, and her part in it, for all to hear. Or read? It's a bit of a strange medium, storytelling on paper. Or on a screen, whatever.
Now, of course, by now you must be wondering: What about the shipping? The shipping's the most important part, right? Well, here is my answer: There will be no ship wars. There will be no love dodecahedrons. There will be no cheating, no lies, no throwing other characters under the bus for stupid romantic drama. Why? BECAUSE STAR AND MARCIE ARE BOTH ARO/ACE. Suck on that, Starco! I am the last person to trust romantic drama with, so all of the romantic relationships in this bandwagon will be established, healthy relationships that have decades of chosen love and appreciation for one another behind them. And past!Tomstar and brief, schoolchild-crush-esque Star/Oskar but that doesn't count.
So, I believe that about wraps things up for this post. I'll start posting chapters soon, and will post two chapters every other week, and I'll release the descriptions of them two weeks before I post them. If you have any questions, please ask them! I want to work on my drawing skills, so I might even draw something for them!
Description for next episodes:
Star's Birthday: Star is a young, wild princess who is about to receive her family's most precious heirlooms.
Trouble in Diazland: Star is put under the care of the Diaz family, but can't quite seem to connect with their son, Marco.
And, finally, I have thank yous! These are mostly people I watched but haven't really interacted with yet, so if you get tagged know that you don't know me, I just followed you for svtfoe content. And for, you know, your personality.
Thanks to ankle-beez for being hilarious and reminding me why I made this AU when you relentlessly drag svtfoe. Thank you to @full-moon-phoenix, @dappercritter, and the lizard squad for my regular dose of Toffee. Thank you morningmark and @jess-the-vampire for keeping me invested in svtfoe as a whole. Thanks to svtfoe-critical and @twinklecupcake for good ideas. Thank you to TBlofeld on AO3 for your amazing AU, Monsters, Mewmans, Magic, that, while we took things and ran in completely opposite directions, still inspired me to complete mine. And thank you to Blue Order, whose deeply hilarious and deeply accurate video "How Star Vs the Forces of Evil Fell From Grace" inspired me to create this story in the first place. And, of course, thank you to whoever on the svtfoe wiki writes down the transcripts to every episode. You've helped me so much. I admit that I didn't follow all of your guys' advice, but you did help me get here, every one of you. So thank you.

Unique features not seen in SVTFOE before includes Quasar and Shmarmo traveling throughout the dimensional void with his space-car or flying with ironic retro space helmets, galactic pirates version of Ludo's army, Woofanda appearing to be developed as 20th century colonial Africa with pre-colonial elements, Space Mountain (a space-themed indoor roller coaster attraction) included where both blast off into the dimensional void and more. Doppelgangers: Quasar Caterpillar - Star Butterfly, Shmarmo - Marco Diaz and Woofanda - Mewni

SvTFoE, “Cleaved“: Raw Impressions
Tumblr media
It’s over.
After four years of flinging magic spells, crashing with adorable human families, fighting monsters, and putting fans through an emotional wringer, Star vs. The Forces of Evil has come to an end. (And after an additional three months of waiting because Disney Channel Canada thought it would be a great idea to air one new episode per weekend instead of two and to put one episode off for a Cars marathon. Yeah. This hasn’t been easy for me.) But was it a good end?
Well, I have some strong feelings about this show. To make a long and rather pitiful story short, I’ve been invested in the mythos and ships of this show since Day 1. So after all the twists and turns, dumps and get-togethers, how did I feel about the ending? Well, I have an entire editorial worth of opinions on the finale and the rest of Season 4--don’t even get me started on the rest of the show, but keeping things to the finale I would say that it was...
Okay.
I admit, when the finale originally aired and all I had to go off of was summaries, screenshots, and other people’s reactions, I wasn’t too pleased. But now that I’ve seen the finale and the rest of S4 for myself, I feel more at peace with this ending: I don’t hate it with passionate vitriol, it’s not the worst ending I’ve ever seen, and I don’t feel betrayed for watching it. It let Star and Marco be together, solved most of the conflict, and gave us an overall happy ending. However, I’m still not happy with it.
I appreciate what the Crew was trying to do this season, trying to give us a satisfying Starco-based resolution, tackling the toxic effect prejudice has on society and how political corruption sends everything to hell, overcoming this prejudice and trying to change things for the better, and exploring the secrets of Mewni, but I feel like they tried to do too many things at once. Also, I’m not entirely sure that the path to the finale was the best one to take necessarily.  Specifically, I don’t think we needed the Kellco stuff (however cute it was), or Tom and Star to go on as long as they did, or Moon betraying Eclipsa and siding with Mina, or the MHC being made out to be bad guys (Really Omnitraxus? You agreed to all this over schedules? You’re a cosmic being and you endorsed attempted genocide for SCHEDULES?!), or the last-minute Earth shenanigans. I say this because in this episode, that all came to a head. In fact, it shows in the episode’s original blurb: “Star tries to solve all her problems.” I don’t know if that was official or not, but I feel that accurately describes this last season pretty well. Star wanted to stop the Solarian invasion AND save everyone on Mewni, AND be with Marco, AND to not have to deal with magic anymore. All of this is understandable of course, but it’s hard not to deny that in the end, the final solution felt rushed.
Which brings my biggest issue was Star’s big choice: destroying magic. Yes, magic is the cause of a lot of problems on the show but was getting rid of it the best solution? And did we really want Star to come to this conclusion via temper tantrum? And why is destroying magic such a big deal to begin with if certain characters like Tom and Pony Head get to keep their inherent magical powers? (I’m assuming Tom still has his demon powers, btw.) I get that this mostly affected magic on Mewni but magic is such a big deal throughout the multiverse, I would expect the ramifications to get more attention. Not to mention that all this is to solve one battle, though it was a dire battle, even that felt a touch contrived with its stakes. (So Solarian magic only works with Solaria. M’kay. I guess certain spells can only be controlled by the queens who created them. Would have been nice if we had, I dunno’ maybe some ACTUAL EXPLANATIONS AND WORLDBUILDING to help explain how the magic system actually works, but no, the shipping drama was worth WAY more screentime). What makes it more frustrating is that we’ve seen how destructive magic can be when used improperly (e.g. Mathmagic, A Spell With No Name), but choosing to destroy magic when it isn’t the sole cause of the problem, feels cheap. It’s like if someone in this dimension said, “if we stop climate change, we’ll stop the Alt-Right!” Totally different situations, I know, but there must have been a less drastic solution to all this.
On a sidenote, I can buy Glossaryck believing that everyone’s too dumb to know how to use magic and that he would be planning to destroy it all along, but should we really let Star and everyone agree with this? I mean, he might be the wise mentor, but was he really right? What’s more, Mina gets away almost scot-free. Yes, she’s lost her powers and her army.  Yes, her walking away and ranting about her “her good ideas” is a good reference to how racial prejudice and all that is a lingering issue in the real world. Yes, she still lost the battle. But between these two and Toffee, who despite being an awesome villain was still a huge jerk, are these really the people we want to have the last laugh? You could say that by getting a happy ending where everyone coexists is enough to prove them wrong, but still, I feel that at least one of them shouldn’t have walked away with their pride intact.
(Okay, I’m running out of juice and this getting too long. Uh, where do I go? Oh yeah!)
Speaking of unnecessary, I can’t say I’m happy with the decision to merge Earth and Mewni together. This goes with the whole destroying magic problem, but what sets apart is that it feels like, for all the wonder and fun is implied, the way it’s framed almost makes it feel like mashing the two worlds together causes huge amounts of chaos. It feels unfinished in a way. It’s nice of the crew to leave the door open for more adventures, but it would have been nice to see how everyone adapted to this, perhaps in a nice montage or something, as opposed to running around in a panic while Star and Marco get to enjoy themselves.
I know it sounds like I hated this ending, but in spite of all these issues, I still enjoyed the episode. The writing, voice acting, animation, music, and all that were pretty good. The destruction of the magic realm and the ending were my favourite parts, with some of the best cinematography in the show. And again, Starco is canon. Sometimes, that’s all we can ask for. That and happy Ludo.
There’s a lot more I could say, but I’ll save the rest for another editorial. I’m going to get some rest.
How about you guys? What did you guys think?

~~
Three groans of pain are heard coming from the crater from nowhere.
“Please tell me we are not in Oz?” Said Lamia, the first voice coming from the crater. The warrior rubbing her head. Crash landing isn’t suppose to be a part of the mission. She get up, and help her comrade and sister from another dimension, Rose get up by lending her a hand.
“This is suppose to take us to this dimension’s Mewni…..” said Umbros-Quinn, dusting her orange dress, then grimaced that it is ruined in the impact. “My dress…..”
To be honest, their clothes are ruined thanks to their crash landing. Luckily, there is a fashion designer among the group. Rose cast a dress repair spell, repairing Umbros-Quinn’s dress and Lamia’s outfits with a few modifications. Umbros-Quinn’s long shoulderless orange dress is now a puffy orange dress with two bows arranged at either side of her skirt, as well as an orange ribbon around her neck, which is tied in a bow in the back with two ceramic phoenix wings decor at the center of the bow. The front of her torso has a pale yellow segment surrounded by white frills with a white placket running down the center, decorated by five red orange buttons. She has two small straps that connect from the front to the back of the dress over her shoulders, and short, puffy sleeves with frilly ends. In between her shoulder blades and just below her neck, there is a heart-shaped hole in the back of her dress. She is still wearing a pair of long orange gloves, however it is now with pink trims around the wrists, white, thigh-high stockings with frills just below the knee, and red orange, heeled boots with ribbons tied behind them. Lamia looks at the clothes Rose modified. Lamia snaps her finger and have her symbiote alter it. There are two white markings with a pink hue, that are in a form of Phoenix wings, that are the “eyes” of her symbiote with a mandarin collar attached to it. The borders of her dress are covered with magenta frill that cover the opening of her red violet dress and the back. She wears white bicep length torned sleeves with black buttoned cuffs. Underneath, she wears a pleated red violet skirt with a phoenix insignia and a black corset with white detailing. She wears tall red violet boots with white triple moon symbols just underneath which match the black thigh-high socks. Rose finally repair her green dress, altering it to a yellow dotted mesh striped frilled neck bubble sleeve green dress. There is a phoenix design embroidered on her dress.
“Rose thanks you for fixing my dress. But… you do not have to do alternations,” Umbros-Quinn asked. Rose twirl her hair shyly, twisting her body back and forth. “Oh well, I was watching Madoka Magica for my research, and I thought I taken that as my advantage to put in my practice in designing clothes in a new perspective, that is not making cosplay. Plus, they can help you two move freely while wielding weapons in case we come across danger. If you don’t like the magical girl get-up, I can changes it back.”
Rose, focusing on the latest fashion line project as a part of the grand opening of Cloudy Design in Townsville from their other interdimensional sister, Hiraya and Janaya’s universe, to showcase as a part of Skylar and Diana’s expansion plan. The theme is magical girls because Townsville have superheroes and superheroines. Hiraya will be collaborating too for superheroines who wants to buy the products suitable for their line of work. Umbros-Quinn shook her head, after hearing her explanation, the reasonings is good as well. That way, she won’t have to change outfits whenever she change her wand into a weapon (melee, long-range, and short-range).
The three got out of the crater to looks at their surroundings. This is definitely in fact Mewni. But something feels off. Umbros-Quinn faces Rose.
“Rose, could you please scan the perimeter?” Umbros-Quinn requested.
“With pleasure,” said Rose, closing her eyes and nod. She inhaled a sharp breath and exhale, calming her mind, manifesting two yellow colored mana scanning grids. The two mana grids scan the perimeter, adventuring out in the new world. Her study and practice in mana manipulation is really paying off. Cassiopeia Butterfly really broaden her horizon in magic and this skill, mana manipulation. The yellow mana grids come back to her, completing the scan. It disappear, sending informations the grids gathered to her head for her and her interdimensional sisters. Rose open her eyes in astonishment, at the same time shock and in disbelief.
“What is it Rose?” Lamia asked.
Rose staring at her sisters. “Well, the area that we are in now, confirm to have magic. Since there is magic and the look exactly where we are in now. An images of Mewni to be exact,”
The two girls looks at Rose, thinking the impact must have mess with her head since the expression in her eyes is showing no lies.
“This may sound crazy. You would believe me. Mewni, the ones we are seeing now are images. The images are able to move because of the certain magic here. PhBe….. PhBe is projecting Mewni in a different form… As if-,”
Umbros-Quinn’s mind clicks, realizing what exactly is Rose is saying.
“We didn’t went to Mewni, we went inside a dream!!!! That came to life on it own!” Said Umbros-Quinn.
“This universe’s PhBe is dream energy magical element!!!” Said Lamia, blowing her own mind by this conclusion and both Rose and Umbros-Quinn’s conclusion. The three princesses decide to look around for clues to lead them to their next objective for their mission - They need to find the person responsible for the dream.
Cassiopeia Butterfly (mentioned) belongs to @storygirl000

“Sometimes, I wonder if this is real.” She stroked the beaded crane woven into her shawl.
Her assistant perked up beside her. “Real, ma’am?”
“I wasn’t born into power.” She sighed. “I wasn’t even raised in this place at all. At times this feels like a dream, like I am going to wake one day to the life I had known before.”

A safe reminder, just in case svtfoe’s team again put the blame on the MHC
Yeah.... since in this last season (and partially 3rd season), the team behind the show has been putting almost every single “evil” stuff on the MHC shoulders... I want to leave this here with a probably “I told you so” message. The ones behind this wars, racism and stuff are not the MHC by default.... the ones behind that are The Queens of the Mewmans. Since their creation by Glossaryck the MHC members take care of the stuff they were created for, and also serve and help the Queens of Mewni. The funny thing here is that after 5-6 generations of queens whose’s agendas were to kill monsters and take their lands (I think from all the queens just some didn’t do this... like 3?), it is safe to assume that the public with some logic on their side will point out  that star and eclipsa are simply paying in life the mistakes of their ancestors.... BUT its a children’s show, so, instead of doing that... they are changing it to avoid that the logic thought make their own families be the responsible of this issues. How? By putting the MHC as the old fashioned political racist ones that want monsters off the mewni kingdom’s lands... rejecting eclipsa, globgor and meteora with no better argument than “it was the right thing to do back 300 years ago despite it was evil”. Now if you think it twice... yep, back in those days they had a literal war proclamation in the form of a baby... and even... for that baby things like civil wars in both sides could have ignited, be it monsters or mewmans... and must probably the allies of the mewni kingdom would have left them to their luck and broke those alliances, cause the reason to ally was to fight together against the monsters.... which had ended just some years ago. So.... yeah, in those times what they did was right despite it was evil, but now... times changed, and monsters and mewmans are trying to live together in peace and the MHC for some reason can’t actually see that (NOTE: in my opinion glossaryck is behind all of this “eclipsa globgor and meteora surviving those times”, cause they were conveniently put in stasis, or survived through drain-life magic for better times instead of... you know, being killed). Now.... following all that train of thought that the show is taking... it’s not that hard to think that probably they will change the necessary stuff and make the MHC to be the ones behind the sword, the solarian soldiers and all that stuff (and not Solaria), cause that way, they put the queens of mewni in the good spot and the MHC in the evil spot... then, every little girl and blind fan watching the show can be happy with it, saying that star is awesome, the righteous, a clean past, and all that crap... and the real evil ones were the others. If the episode of the Tavern at the end of the multiverse is again a sailor moon reference I’m gonna laugh at this show, cause few noticed the “galaxy cauldron” in battle for mewni. Toddles!

Star vs. The Forces of Evil: Thoughts on the Series Finale
SvtFoE just concluded a few days ago, and to be perfectly honest, Im incredibly conflicted.
I've been putting this off for a little while now, since I've needed to time to gather all my thoughts and criticisms of everything that happened in the finale.
Firstly, I don't think they needed a full hour or so to properly wrap things up, like other people have stated.
Instead, more time should have been devoted to the plot and Star in general.
The very strange thing is, despite how much of a threat Mina is, and clearly was in the past few episodes, the writers decided to severely downplay her in favor of revolving mostly around Star and Marco's relationship.
I'm sorry, but in a show as engaging as SvtFoE, romance shouldn't really be the priority in the FINALE, the SERIES finale mind you.
Alot of time gets wasted on the two obsessing over being with each other and it's honestly sickening.
Like, I never cared for Starco, but I really feel like they shouldn't have wasted time with Marco/Jackie Tom/Star, if these two were obviously gonna be endgame.
Had they gotten together waaaay earlier, as they should've, let's say, Season 2, I probably would've felt more about them supposedly being forcibly separated after just getting together.
Another thing that really bothered me was that Star literally just broke up with Tom a few episodes ago, so basically, the relationship was entirely one-sided, and Star was forcing herself to cry during the breakup, and forcing herself to simply be in the relationship with Tom, since she was absolutely, head-over-heels for Marco at that point.
Just feels so rushed and forced, but whatever.
Something that really urked me, was the fact that there was no final battle between Star and Mina, y'know, one last confrontation between Star and the primary antagonist of the season.
No, she just, convienetly is out of the picture thanks to one of the stupid corrupted milhorses, and that's it. She can't even postpone the destruction of Magic or anything.
In my opinion, two, actually cool situations could have played out here.
So, y'know being in the Realm of Magic and all, this should've powered up Mina even further, and Star as well, they're surrounded by pure Magic, so, why shouldn't it empower them?
And then there's some epic final battle between them, maybe Moon and Eclipsa fight alongside Star, Hell, maybe even Tom and Marco get in on the action, and maybe Mina's so powerful here, that they just barely stop her, and while she's temporarily incapacitated, bam, they destroy magic, y'know? Something cool like that.
The other scenario that could play out, is the one that would've been FIRE.
So, the show established a Multiverse exists within the show's universe.
This is seen in Mathmagic, where we get a glimpse of various versions of Star in different universes and timelines.
Now, IMAGINE, if in the Realm of Magic when Mina shows up, Star tries to fight her, but she's too strong or whatever, so she opens up several portals to enlist the help of herselves to help her battle Mina, that would've been so cool, and would have killed two birds with one stone.
1. A proper final confrontation that is epic and different from all the other battles in the show.
2. The show has it's first and only "Multiverse Episode"
Just feels like a missed opportunity to me.
But what do we get?
Oh boy! More Starco drama!
Well, not before they successfully destroy Magic.
I did think it was really nice to see Solaria's spirit, or whatever it was, finally accept Meteora, she just kind of touches her cheek and smiles, it's a pretty sweet moment.
And Glossaryck's last (actual) line is kind of sad to be honest.
Something that really freaking bothered me was the fact that both Star and Marco chose each other over their friends, FAMILY, and HOMES.
Sorry, but I'm just not buying into this whole
"uwu we belong together forever uwu" crap
Like, they should've been together ALOT longer than a few episodes if dialogue like that was to be warranted and for non-Starco viewers to even care about them being separated.
Wait, there was one thing I forgot to mention that happens during this RoM part.
Marco literally is impaled around his stomach by Tom's corrupted Milhorse, and the crazy thing is, he just WALKS it off.
Like, I understand that after Magic is destroyed, the wound disappears, since that's obviously a magical wound, but, he walked around for a good long while BEFORE Star successfully destroyed Magic, so... He just, walks it off???
There's no logical reason for Marco to be able to endure a wound like this, he's fifteen, he's a CHILD for crying out loud.
So, that was shown in the trailer specifically to clickbait everyone, but there's actual pay-off at all.
Marco is able to literally flip one of these horses by the freaking horn, AFTER HE IS WOUNDED.
I feel like, obviously Marco shouldn't just fall over and die after being impaled, but I feel like he should've had to lean on Tom for the rest of the time here, like, there's no plausible explanation as to why he is able to walk this off like nothing happened.
But that isn't the only thing that has no logical explanation.
I know I'm covering most of the negatives so far, but just so you know, I actually was digging this episode for the most part, up until the last two minutes.
Moon and Eclipsa helping Star destroy the Magic was nice and dandy, and finally seeing Eclipsa's and even Meteora's Butterfly forms was pretty sweet.
Finally discovering why Glossaryck loves pudding was actually kinda funny, and served for the plot.
I've hated Ponyhead for a really long time, but she actually made me smile for the first time when she was comforting Star, telling all these stories to assure her, her friends were all well.
And Janna had a similar moment with Marco, where the two, for what seems like the first time, genuinely acknowledge eachother as friends, which was actually really nice.
But then, something has to happen to ruin EVERYTHING.
For a literally entirely unexplained reason, a portal opens between Mewni and Earth, then it explodes, and then Mewni and Earth have merged...?
Oh HEY, Star and Marco can be together at last!
Oh wait, none of this makes any fucking sense.
Is this show honestly trying to tell me, that a MAGICAL PORTAL opened up, despite the fact that Magic was literally destroyed five minutes ago???
There's no logical, rationale, reasonable REASON for this to have happened.
It's all just deus ex machina bullshit Daron came up with just so Star and Marco could be together, great.
Aside from that, there's some very concerning implications as a result of Star's actions that doesn't seem to be acknowledged at all by the characters.
The first thing being, the destruction of Magic means that all magically-based entities will be wiped from existence.
Meaning that entire species have just been wiped off the face of the Multiverse.
Meaning that Star has committed mass-genocide on a Multiversal scale.
And yet no one in the show seems to acknowledge that.
What they should have done, in my opinion, was simply depower all magically-based entities, leaving them to learn how to live without utilizing Magic on a day-to-day basis, that would have been interesting, and far-less scary.
The only one who would justifiably be gone is Glossaryck, who clearly has strong ties to Magic.
I'm surprised a show that is marketed towards children includes a protagonist who commits mass-genocide, and still gets smoochies from her boyfriend.
Woooow.
Another thing is, the Cleaving of Earth and Mewni, isn't exactly beneficial to ANYONE except Star and Marco.
Are humans, mewmans, and monsters, etc going to be able to live together in harmony?
I mean, I highly doubt everything is gonna be all peaches and cream, especially at first.
This probably is going to result in a whole slew of problems, but remember, it was worth it, so Star and Marco could be uwu'ing.
Props to a friend of mine for bringing this to my attention, but Star destroying Magic should've technically erased Meteora as well.
Think about it, Meteora was pretty much reborn through Magic, which would probably make her fall under that magically-based area.
Same thing with Star to be perfectly honest, her original body was destroyed during The Battle for Mewni, and her new body was entirely reconstructed from Magic, meaning that she should've been erased as well.
Which would have made for a hell of an interesting conflict in the finale, but oh well.
Seems like the rules are being ignored if you ask me.
The show unfortunately follows in the footsteps of the Legend of Korra, in which it's final shot and lines are dedicated to shipping, and not the series as a whole.
Which is incredibly disappointing, but oh well.
And then Mina, man oh man...
So Mina is depowered, and Moon offers to rehabilitate her, truly pitying her, and apologizing for using her, (although technically Mina was using her but, whatever)
And instead of Mina finally regaining a bit of her sanity, instead of finally showing some kind of development, instead of finally ending her conquest against monsters, instead of accepting that offer.
Mina just, basically says her racist ideas will always linger in the minds of others, and she walks off into the woods.
Her dialogue and the way she does this is just an absolute joke, like, the writers just downplay her at every possible moment.
The dialogue is clearly supposed to be funny, despite how mentally fractured this woman is, and it just feels disrespectful to the character in general.
Do you want her to be a psychotic, deranged soldier, stuck in her ways, who knows nothing but war and bigotry?
Or do you want her to be a clown, which is it, Daron?
I can't really say I'm satisfied with this ending.
There's too scary and/or concerning implications, unsatisfying resolutions, and questions for this to be a truly good finale.
I think more time should've been dedicated Mina, considering she's the main antagonist of the season, and it's the series finale, and the merging of Mewni and Earth should have never have been a thing.
Star and Marco should've went on with their lives.
The last we see of Marco should have been him going back to school.
And the last we see of Star should have been her giving a speech to the people of Mewni.
I don't know, I was just hoping for alot more, but the end result was just kind of rushed and unfulfilling.
However, when all is set and done,
Star vs. The Forces of Evil was a hell of a four-year ride, I had a blast watching it for all it's 4 seasons, and I'm really gonna miss it.

S3 Sucks Big Time And I’m Tired Of It.
Hi y’all. Next chapter’s well underway! In the meantime, there’s something I need to get off my chest, and this platform seems like the perfect place to do it.
SVTFOE season 3 has been the worst possible direction that the show could have taken. Out of all possible scenarios, the only way it could possibly get any worse is if all the problems that have been created in the past dozen episodes were, from here on out, totally ignored as the show tries to backpedal its way out of this conundrum.
The season’s complete trainwreck of petty drama, plot regression, character devolvement, and tonal problems is so complex and varied that it’s almost impressive, because of all the parts that seem like mistakes, the most glaring issues seem to be deliberate choices by the writers.
This starts at the beginning of S3 with the Battle for Mewni, and continues on through the season, to the point that there isn’t an episode in which it’s not present. Let me go ahead and dive in here, and just explain some of the myriad of things that are wrong with what’s been produced thus far.
Tone - mistakes and choices.
Right from the beginning of the Battle of Mewni, all of the show’s tonal problems are thrown up into your face, over and over again.
The purpose of story tone is to help the story retain focus, both in the direction you’re heading, and in helping your viewers know what to expect from the show. It informs the actions of the characters, and helps you to understand how to feel about certain things that happen. There are a lot of great examples of how this works in modern cartoons.
Most appropriately, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Titans, and Gravity Falls are all very obvious examples of this. Each series’ tone is constant and lets you know what to expect from every episode, and more relevantly, features a mix of serious, character-driven narrative progression, while also allowing room for each series to tell jokes, show off the lighthearted interactions between characters, and have those personal moments of heart and meaning that mean everything when forging a bond between yourself and the characters you’re watching.
SVTFOE has always had problems with tone, from the introduction of Toffee onwards. Toffee himself is a perfect reflection of what the problem with the show always has been. He’s a character that wants to be serious, with real meaning and consequence, but the show itself is very goofy and lighthearted, and only in his presence is there any sort of continuity for the first two seasons.
This problem is thrown into overdrive with Battle For Mewni, which creates a world-shattering conflict that the show just isn’t prepared to handle in any capacity. The conflict itself is world-ending stakes, with Toffee’s plans finally coming to fruition - not only is the kingdom of Mewni in shambles, but he’s draining all the magic from the multiverse.
Despite this, though, the show’s goofy tone and ridiculous antics sabotage this more serious, tension-filled plot, over and over again. This continues until the parts that actually have tension, like Star drowning in the magic dimension, Toffee’s return and death, Ludo’s transformation into a horrible dictator, are not only undermined, but actually feel completely out of place in the context of the show.
One minute the show is telling you how funny and ridiculous it is, like with the parts that show River trying to run the kingdom, or anything involving the dungeons or Marco’s “vigilante pranks,” and the next minute, it’s demanding you sit up and watch, because world-ending consequence is crashing down in a manner completely unprecedented.
This problem continues into the season, long after Toffee’s death, with the conflict between the goofy elements of the show, and the more serious angle of princess that Star obviously wants to become.
First, it should be noted that the writers did at this point FINALLY make a conscious choice about the tone of the season/series - they did it when Marco arrived on Mewni in “Lint Catcher.” It happens in the most jarring way possible.
The series until this point has been all about lighthearted choices and fun adventures, so you’re led to believe that when he gets there, you’re going to see an emotional reunion, a return to the status quo, and a setup for next week’s fun antics. The setup feels as though the show is saying “okay, we’re going to do what we did before, but on Mewni now.”
Instead, it’s apparent immediately that Marco’s made a huge mistake. He burns the bridges he has left on Earth. Meanwhile on Mewni, Star’s not so much excited or even happy to see him, as she immediately seems as interested as possible in making sure he isn’t around for reasons that are never actually directly stated.
This is the tone that the series sticks to for nearly the rest of the season - Star being selfish and emotionally distant while Marco acts as a third wheel - and as far as a conscious choice for tone goes...
WHY???
This is the first issue because it’s really the underlying problem behind why I don’t enjoy S3 at all. It’s not written to be enjoyable. The tone of the show is “mistakes which have no resolution,” or perhaps “actions have consequences,” but unlike, say, Adventure Time, which shares this theme BUT is drowning in interesting side-plots and settings to draw focus (since “adventure” is also a primary theme of the series), that tone is taken and crammed down your throat at every opportunity.
That’s not to say it’s consistent, though. The show attempts to break through this tone on multiple occasions, with the immediately following episodes, Trial By Squire, Princess Turdina, and Starfari attempting to show that no, this is not the way things will go.
Despite this, though, the tone is so present in Star’s more serious attitude, in her dynamic with Marco, and in his own actions (and continuing, progressively worse series of mistakes) that I’m left wondering “what the heck am I supposed to be feeling right now?” Trial By Squire, like the other Quest Buy episodes, is excellent, but in no way am I prepared to invest myself back into Marco and Star’s relationship when they themselves have turned it on its head in ways we aren’t even seeing yet. The theme of the season is “consequence” but nothing actually seems to have consequence. You just feel bad after watching, because somehow you’re more aware of what the characters should be going through than the characters themselves.
Plot - how to story.
Like with tone, SVTFOE has always struggled with plot. One minute you’re getting a lore-packed episode like St. Olga’s, or a compelling character narrative like in the episodes preceding The Battle For Mewni, and the next you’re getting completely disconnected adventures like the Quest Buy episodes, Interdimensional Field Trip, etc. etc.
Up until now, though, the show has always done a pretty good job on both ends. Some of the filler episodes are annoying (Fetch/Star on Wheels will forever remain “the block that should never have been produced”) and some of the plot-driven episodes don’t always land (Baby is great, but also the most out-of-place episode in S2, IMO) but generally speaking, things have always tied together in the end. If not that, then it’s at least fun to watch.
So then S3 starts out by killing the antagonist and central conflict before we even see them emerge, and then continues onwards as if it still has a reason to do so. Then it introduces a theme that is like nails on a chalkboard for trying to build something to be around and watch. Talk about shooting yourself in the feet!
Throughout S3 so far, we’re given a bunch of characters that are changing radically, but no reason for their change, and no motivation to get them to show that development. Star is trying to change into a more down-to-earth, serious princess, but it’s not until Starfari, nearly a third of the way into the season, that we’re even given a glimpse of a conflict which suits this mindset.
Meanwhile, Marco’s trying to come to terms with who he wants to be in life, but whether he was on Earth or on Mewni, post Sophomore Slump, the series itself would not have been affected at all. It’s like he’s totally isolated from everything that’s going on around him, and any time he tries to have an impact or take control, things blow up in his face.
Eclipsa is introduced as a full character to show off a moral grey area and try to influence Star into her “do what you want” lifestyle, but there’s no catalyst to show this change at all, and as a result she, too, could be completely cut from the season to literally no effect.
This is not how you do plot. It’s not how you do a story, and it lends itself to the theme of the show, because now in addition to “mistakes without resolution,” and “actions have consequence,” (via Star’s attitude), the entire season thus far has had a running theme of “pointlessness.” The only conflicts which you’re driven to care about at all are those between characters, but even those are so poorly managed and difficult to understand that you just want the series to tell you what it’s trying to do, already.
Killing off Toffee was, in my opinion, the biggest waste of a character that I can think of in recent memory. It’d be like if Aang defeated the fire lord at the end of book 2, or Bill Cipher showing up and being beaten halfway through Gravity Falls.
I expected the show would at least provide a reason for the defeat so we could move on - like a “now that he’s gone, we can do this other thing that we really want to show” approach, but that just hasn’t happened. These characters still have so much growth to go through, the story still has so much to tell, but we’re just missing any driving force behind the plot, and as a result, the only really interesting bits of the series (the relationships like what are shown in Lava Lake Beach and the story development like in Deep Dive and Monster Bash) fall extremely flat while you wait for a reason for their existence.
Characters - unjustifiable and unlikable
Okay, so we’re seeing a running theme: inconsistency. The show likes to jump around with plot. It likes to have a few different themes. And up until now it’s liked to jump around with characters, too.
But this season actually introduced some consistent characterization for Star and Marco, with Star being the more selfish and serious version of herself, and Marco being a walking pile of bad life choices and personality shortcomings.
So, again, we’ve got a conscious choice by the writers that makes NO SENSE.
That is to say, we’ve now got consistent characters and they’re awful.
The biggest thing that you need from a character in any show is a WHY and a HOW.
The WHY is the reasoning behind their existence and character from an out-of-show perspective. It creates a relateable backdrop/canvas for the character to act on. Zuko’s struggles with honor, family, and his own duality are is WHY. We understand who he is and WHY he acts the way he does, and as a result, despite him making some terrible choices and being full of angsty late-teen drama (”nobody understands me mom! I mean, uncle!”) we still sympathize and know where he’s coming from.
Then there’s the HOW, which is the reasoning behind their actions WITHIN the show. Zuko’s driving force is to capture the Avatar, which is HOW that out-of-show WHY backdrop manifests. All of his problems come to a head and he’s created a simple narrative solution: if he can just capture the avatar, things will get better. Despite his antagonism, we understand him and appreciate who he is, even if we don’t want him to succeed. The problem with S3 is that it creates a problem that the series never really had before. The characters were never particularly consistent or driven, and when they are (like Star in Storm the Castle) the motivation was adequate. Star wants to get her best friend back. As soon as the stakes are raised from a character perspective - as soon as Star and Marco become consistent and show signs of a progression path - the show falls apart, because we’re not given any justification for it at all. The WHY and HOW behind Star’s actions in S3 is a total enigma, because the show never actually tells us her line of reasoning. The best I can come up with is that she feels the need to be more responsible following the problems her previous actions caused, but there’s been nothing in the season that requires that attitude at all. The actual stakes behind what’s going on in the series as a whole are actually lower than they’ve ever been, so why is she now choosing to be serious? She has no WHY because we don’t know WHY she’s acting that way, and she has no HOW because we don’t know HOW that new backdrop is guiding her actions. The result is this character that’s just designed to be unlikable. Star in S3 has treated her friends like crap, has been emotionally distant, difficult to understand, selfish, and irresponsible, all of which is now superimposed on a character we don’t understand. She was most of those things when she was bubbly and goofy, too, but we understood it! She just didn’t understand responsibility, and more importantly, she learned after her mistakes. Most importantly, the show did not ever demand us analyze her actions. S1 and 2 are stuffed full of apologies, emotional connections, trials and triumphs, and problems with solutions as she comes to terms with the idea. We don’t have any of that now, though, we’ve just got all the problems with none of the solutions. Likewise with Marco. You can understand his motivations a little bit better despite them never really being said at all (the WHY is that dude’s seriously misguided on what he wants out of life), but the HOW is still totally missing. He just stumbles about, not really learning anything or trying to understand why his life’s so messed up at all, and as a result, I just feel sorry for him. By the time his surprise party blows up in his face in the holiday special, I just want to reach into the show and tell him to stop trying. He doesn’t seem to be aware of what he’s doing, most of the time, and completely ignores the consequences of his actions. We understand WHY he’s so misguided, but we don’t understand HOW he’s continuing to act that way. So here we are. We’ve got a season with unlikable characters, no central conflict, and a depressing, scattered theme. This brings me to my final point.
Bullshit Drama - conflict vs. adolescence
In the absence of the villain, we’re left with the ultimate in adolescent, petty drama, as all these characters without understandable motivations or conquests scurry about, trying to find a way to make the show compelling while also maintaining the awful tone that this season’s chosen.
So we’ve got petty drama. Character dynamics without weight. Arguments with no meaning. A bunch of relationships which are built around a poorly-constructed love-triangle which is both completely unwarranted (this coming DESPITE me being a fan of Tom, this season) and unprecedented in the series as a whole.
The writers’ apparent obsessive need to use this BS “Dramabox” mechanic in place of any real plot or direction informs the entire season. Everything is building up to further defining the completely fucked-up relationship that Star and Marco now have, to creating conflicts between characters that could be solved with some half-decent communication, to backpedaling character growth (poor Tom, he’s tried so hard) in the interest of producing something that you can gossip about in a schoolyard.
The thing is, you can do drama without resulting to this. It’s one of the reasons you have an antagonist. As the plot drives the characters together into new situations, they won’t be comfortable with it, or with themselves as they’re tested. They’ll chafe as they adjust, and ultimately, come out as better people in the end. The subtle conflicts between Dipper and Robbie, or Grunkle Stan, the disagreements between Toph and Katara, Starfire’s bubbly surface or Beast Boy’s nonsensical nature compared to Raven’s dark, down-to-earth personality... these are all examples of well written character drama. Two informed characters trying to adjust to one another as they’re pushed forward by circumstance.
But instead we’re left with pointless adolescent bullshit. The kind that gets nowhere, it’s just something to talk about. “Did you see how annoyed Star was with Marco?” or “God, look at how bad a friend X is to friend Y, they’re just awful...” It’s schoolyard gossip and it completely disgusts me.
The most frustrating thing is, Eclipsa’s still a character in this show. She is the person to tell Star to get her shit together. Like, oh, maybe instead of running away and buying your feelings for your friend, you should confront them? Maybe there should be a balance between having fun and being serious? These are both things that a real person, particularly a mentor, would say in a real conversation, especially around the circumstances of S3. But that would be too easy, and kill the only motivation that the show has left to crawl forward!
So instead we’re gonna sit here and watch Marco fight with Tom over Star, for some contrived, bullshit reason. Because there’s nothing better for them to do.
Overall, this show has just about run its course for me. It reminds me of my short stint with the Walking Dead, where over time I gradually just... stopped caring. I’ve told myself I’ll see through another few episodes, and I’m going to continue writing my story regardless, but there’s a point where I just can’t be bothered anymore, and I think it’s approaching fast.

“You’re heartless!” Said Lamia, bound by chains, glaring at the Sin of Sloth, with hatred in her eyes, “Do you know that you are endangering innocent lives here?!?”
Lamia watch the people in Mewni, sleep screaming in terror and sleepwalking super soldiers marching on the cement road to the song they believe in, the song of the siren. Morphea vaguely look at Lamia, while playing her music through the keytar. The avatar of the Spellbook, disconnect from the broken and dismantle machinery is now on the floor and now an empty and broken husk of what is left of her. While in the nightmare world, Rose and Umbros-Quinn, protecting the soul of Princess of Life that is inside Rose’s grimiore. Even though it is a soul, the princesses sense the prescence’s intense emotions, watch in absolute horror as the people in Lost Princess’ Mewni are now in The Nightmare World, dragging into the bottom of the ocean, one by one. This Dreamy Sireen is taking over The Nightmare World. Umbros-Quinn fire her wand, in a form of a harpoon, to skewer the mermaid. While Rose produce electricity from her hands to electrocute the many mermaids. The Princess of Life’s prince should be back with the reinforcements.
Morphea did it…. She merge her Dream Mewni and The Lost Princess’ Dream Mewni into one. All thanks to her consuming the PhBe and using the Crystal of Aria’s universe. Morphea raises her right arm, stop playing, and Lamia look on with a determination yet a terrified expression on her face.
“I have to be,” said Morphea.
“Sweet dream~🎶” Morphea sang a sleeping spell. These are the last words Dreamy Sireen have said to Lamia, submitting herself to a dreadful slumber.
The crystal on an ornamental chain worn around Morphea’s neck glittering in the moonlight starry night sky. The smirk on Morphea’s face appears as a result that she is victorious that she have finally achieve her goal, in addition to a new addition to her army. Now it is time to get rid of the two brats once and for all.

Tumblr media
They have fail in their mission to protect their new friend, and now are failing to save her (The Princess of Life’s) people, magical beings, monsters, and mewmans, both from her Dream Mewni/the nightmare world and her Mewni in a life of slavery by Sloth. “Our whole plan fell apart! We mess up! I messed up!”, All Lamia could do now is sink further and further into Morphea’s dark abyss in Dream Mewni. It is better to have her fate in sinking forever than being haunted by evil mermaids. Lamia close eyes, to sleep in her dreamless dream. Lamia does not know when she close her eyes. Had it been about an hour? Two hours? A day? Perhaps week, she is not hungry. Did time goes fast…. Or just too slow. The cold temperature of ‘the water’ increase, bathing Lamia in warmth. The dark atmosphere turn into a glimmering pink light. Lamia slowly feels paranoid that if she wake up, she will be hallucinating of being back home as if nothing have happen. This is definitely a trap Morphea made to manipulate her to enjoy her eternal sleep to not wake up. She keep her eyes close.
CROAK... CROAK... CROAK... RIBBIT.... RIBBIT.... RIBBIT....
M-MOOOO!~ MOOOOO!~
"BE QUIET!" Lamia shouted, opening up her eyes, irritated by cows and frogs waking her up. She see a grass field with flowers, a food sources and bed for cows, ranging in different color as if each milk come with different flavour.
Lamia wondering what is going on? She cannot open her eyes, she feels absolutely tired. There are dozens of sparkling rainbows in the sky. Red hearts floating in 'the pink sunset sky'. Despite the sky being pink likes the sunset, the sun is still up, bright and shining with a smiling face on it. Lamia get up and saw she landed on a floral patterned mushrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lamia see a giant human-looking woman dressed in a short and puffy sleeved dress with mushroom motif with a red cardigan with balloon sleeves and mushroom-style white polka dots near the collar and shoulders. The skirt is mushroom shaped, with a white polka-dotted layer over a red sheer fabric that has mushroom decoration. At the bottom of the skit, red, brown, and white ruffles flare outwards. Even her brown mary janes shoes are mushroom theme as well. She have warm and soft chocolate colored eyes, matching her dark skin tone, and an odango hairstyle. The girl appears to be a teen too. The girl is smiling with adoration toward a small adorable frog she is petting.
Where is she? Is this a part of the sweet dream Morphea is talking about then? And if so, why Lamia’s subconscious produce a giant girl in her mind? A thick plume of dream mist is surrounding the area. The symbiote from her suit reacts to the thick plume dream mist. Lamia soothe the symbiote, continue staring at the mist. Lamia was unsure why her bonded symbiote companion is reactive so much, unless there are adrenaline-filled brains and chocolates are involve, and..... PhBe. Her eyes are widen, the PhBe dream energy took her to meets another dreamer, who have a relation to PhBe as well, just like The Princess of Life. Lamia is unsure who she is, despite the facts that she is the dreamer and that the PhBe dream mist is the one that took her to see her. Lamia cannot tell if she is a magical entity or a human from another universe in the dream world, despite the magical element with her in this dream. Lamia have to find out. Lamia float and create fire from her feet, flying to the girl. Lamia land on her hand, punching the palm of the mysterious girl’s hand for a proper landing, and thus getting her attention.
"Hm, it have seem that spending time with Dari in her dark witchy stuffs led me to dream about her," the giant girl, Phoebe Jacobs stare at Lamia, not too uncomfortable. Just a bit. The punch did hurt after all. All she wants to do are petting cute animals and spreading love and peace with the power of magic… This is not what she expect - Coming across a little imp. "But she looks harmless, cute, and... Hurted."
Phoebe still wondering why her subconscious dream about this demon, it would seem that she is beating herself up. Her hair is a mess and her clothes are wet and saggy.
“Aww, this poor little demon,” the girl thought, looking at the cambion in her hands. Even if it were a dream, she cannot allow herself to let others feel miserable. “Are you okay?”
Lamia opens her mouth to say something, then thinks, if she tell her everything what is going on… Her dream might collide with so much informations processing. Or worse…. It become a nightmares if she share these informations.
“It doesn’t matter. Forget it!” Lamia shouted, pushing the giant girl away, whose save Lamia from falling deeper and deeper into an abyss thanks to the PhBe. “You cannot understand. It is too scary that I will mess up your perfect dream…. Just like I always do. Messing up to ruin lives.”
“No, you are not a life ruiner. You’ll never mess up my dream. I swear to you little demon,” Phoebe trying to comfort a distressed Lamia. “You messing up and it does matter….. Messing up is apart of life. That is what I learnt from Newt Neighborhood. There was this newt who work hard for getting acceptance from the upperclass, and he finally done it, but when he met Luanne, the same age as her and made mistakes, everyone left him. However, Luanne is the only one who is there for him in his darkest time. Thus, taught them both how shallow the people from the city were because they only accept him for his strength and powerful in his magic. They both decide to stick with each others in their ups and downs..." Phoebe talking on and on about the main protagonist's relationship with a side character in Newt Neighbourhood, then quickly pause the topic, to avoid changing the topic. "I mess up too. I forgot to take out the trash, even though if it is super stinky. Or that one time, I broke my mom's valuable anime figurine that my allowance is spent on getting replacement and work on assembling the figurine. One of the worst things of all,....."
Phoebe pause for a moment and looks at Lamia, believing what this cambion really is. Her inner demon. “I never have the courage to tell my bestie how I really feels.. About being treated as her helper, bailing her out on problems. I do not wants to abandon her. All you ever wanted, was to be understood as well,”
Phoebe continuing staring at Lamia, face downwards… The field trip to the aquarium was now a long time ago. However, her conversation with Em, still engraved in her brain and heart. Lamia opens her mouth to say something, after listening about the dreamer’s conversation on one of her favorite magical girls and magical realism animated television series and her conversation about her friendship. The atmosphere change from cheerful and whimsical to gloomy in Phoebe’s dream world. Lamia’s eyes narrows and have a sympathetic and sad smile on her face. Lamia press her forehead with her together with Phoebe.
“We will confront our problem. Whether we Fight or communicate. It always come from the heart. Fills with positivity and even the negativity. As long as you let fear take over. Life will change for the better. This is humanity’s dream. To be understood and the acceptance, while not putting your pride on the line.”
Suddenly, Phoebe’s pink butterfly cheekmarks appear on her cheeks shine bright as Lamia’s red double moons and circle cheekmarks glow, as if it is reacting to it. Shines in magic, Lamia is floating up, and her symbiote suit turns into a blackish pink goo encasing her inside. The pink and purple ribbons manifesting from Phoebe’s hands, wrapping Lamia tight. Phoebe grimaced that she subconsciously perform a mummification onto the cambion, not knowing that her magic is activated in her subconsciousness have something to do with it. Why the heck did spend time researching Ancient Egypt leads to this? Lamia is struggling to free from being mummified alive, however the pinkish black goo from her symbiote suit encasing her stop her from moving. The goo become harden and harden. Lamia went limb inside the cocoon of ribbons and ‘goo’. Phoebe’s heart sink, did she kills the cambion? Her magic isn’t suppose to do that, putting others down literally!
CRI… CRI… CRACK!
The cocoon of ribbons and ‘goo’ start to fall apart and emit a blinding white light. Phoebe close her eyes shut, not being blinded by the blinding light. But she take the chance to allows one eye open to see what comes out of the cocoon. Her eye is now fixated on… A beautiful butterfly from the flash of the blinding light consume her and the world she dream of in her mind.
~~
Phoebe open her eyes gently, she is now in her room, lying in bed in her PJs. Phoebe looks at the clock. It is 5:30 in the morning. Phoebe blinks for a couple of times wondering if she is actually awake. Phoebe grab a hold of her cheek and stretch it as hard as she can, until it is red she realize she is now awakened. Wide awake. That dream the daughter of Amanda and Andrea Jacobs dreaming of. Phoebe wonders that this is a metaphor that her interpersonal conflict with Cordelia is not that big if she open up, she would becomes…

Toffee’s Curse: Moon’s Darkest Spell Theory
Arrrgh! I was postponing this one because I want to write an analysis on how Star’s emotions and cheek symbol affects and connected to her magic but I’ve been thrown a bomb about the movie.
AND IT WILL FEATURE MOON AND TOFFEE’S BATTLE AT THAT TIME IT SEEMED! So I am going to post my theory now here, right now! Of course I’ll fix this theory a bit after watching the movie (but this is what we can hypothesize so far). . . since it’s going to be shown in just a few days.
==============================================================
First off, we have no idea what on earth Moon did to Toffee. It’s never been mentioned aside from the “will forever be haunted” by Moon’s darkest spell. However, we have clues.
The first one is Toffee’s missing finger.
Tumblr media
Toffee is from a race of monsters that can regenerate, and we see this ability of Toffee first hand when Star blasted off his arm. However, it seemed that Toffee cannot regenerate his missing finger despite this ability.
Tumblr media
The book suggest that Toffee lose the ability to regenerate since his great fight with Moon. So either he regained his regeneration ability little by little (until his finger) OR he really just can’t regenerate his finger no matter what.
Tumblr media
Next is the difference in Toffee’s attitude then and now.
Tumblr media
Now, this is only a speculation base on art. But Toffee back then seemed to be more barbaric and expressive than he was now base on clothing where he uses skulls and spikes for clothing (and the original design was that he’s supposed to be shirtless. In SVTFOE, this kind of attire is used for expressive and individualistic characters like Star and Solaria) compared to his now more restrictive and “boring” suit attire like a lawyer’s.
Tumblr media
Marco also noted the significance in clothing. In SVTFOE, attires can show what kind of personality you currently have.
Which brings us to the subtle clue that needs to be mentioned.
The time Marco snap back to Toffee and called him “boring”.
Tumblr media
Now, I find this to be noteworthy because Toffee is almost always composed and only a few things could faze him (one of them was Star being able to deep down during the rescue which was something for her age). Even having his arm blasted off didn’t make him bat an eye. So this reaction of his is definitely worth noting and shows that Marco’s words affect him somehow.
Most likely, he turned this way due to the curse.
So what is the curse?
Going by the clues so far (before the movie trailer), we can theorize that it has something to do with emotions.
My first thought that he wasn’t able to feel anything. Happiness, love, excitement, he wasn’t able to feel anything due to the curse. Hence, making his life monotonous and boring.
I wasn’t even sure if he really feels anger and resentment though it seems that he’s out for vengeance against Moon and his daughter. Maybe not, considering that he didn’t even went so far as to torture Moon or gloat at her at the finale. By this point, he looks like just a man with high ambition.
On the other hand, saying that Toffee cannot feel any emotion doesn’t seem right either after thinking a bit because Toffee did show to have some emotion on few instances like sneaking smiles during the Fortune Cookies episode as he watched Star’s unique spells or his “surprise!” on Season 1 finale where Star and Marco were totally flabbergasted at his demand. He also showed irritation towards Ludo and Boo Fly. To put it simply, the curse is not something that sealed off all his emotions, but something enough to turn him into a “boring” person he is today (take note, I only meant boring in Marco’s words. We all know that he is one among the many plain villains nowadays that are both capable and interesting. He’s far from boring).
Tumblr media
And so, this conclusion:
  Toffee can’t feel “Love”.
Maybe his heart was sealed or destroyed or maybe it’s his soul core that was taken. To put it simply, he cannot feel love or passion for anything. His brash attitude back then (base on his outfit that is similar to those who are battle-loving people like Solaria, King River, and Star when she went crazy), was then change into a monotonous one, and he now takes an apathetic approach to things.
This is backed-up by the missing part in his body which is the middle finger. While it cannot be certified because there are only four fingers in the SVTFOE universe, but what if. . . the missing finger is the “Ring” finger and not the “middle” finger?
Edit: Found a good art in this one for example.
Then his curse being about his “Heart” or “Love” would explain why he cannot regenerate his finger no matter what when he can regenerate the rest of his body.
Tumblr media
Quoting from this site (x):  “ The Ring Finger: Emotion & Creativity The third finger is associated with affections because it is the one with a direct connection to the heart. It also represents our creativity and artistic self. A wedding or engagement ring on this finger proclaims to the world that the wearer emotions and creative goals are committed to the giver of the ring. If the ring is acquired by the wearer instead of a mate, it symbolizes self worth and a commitment to one personal skills and talents.”
The tradition of putting wedding rings on the ring finger is because it is traditionally symbolizes as a finger connected to your heart. If Toffee cannot feel “Love” at all (in a general sense), that would explain why he cannot regenerate his finger and also needed Star’s power.

In SVTFOE universe, Magic is connected with the wielder’s emotions. This is highly displayed with Star’s and Ludo’s magic. Star magic effect depends on her emotions aligning with her thoughts. If she wanted to do good magic but have contradicting negative emotions like anxiety, boredom and anger, the results are a failure. Her casting spells is more effective when she’s feeling good through love and passion like saving Marco and her friends OR when her reasoning’s aligned with her negative emotions like jealousy and anger like when she learned to use the Spying Spell. Ludo cannot use magic at all at the beginning unless he’s feeling extremely angry or malicious.
If Mewman’s powers are through projecting magic and casting spells, then the Septarian’s powers are through regeneration. If Toffee is missing a “Heart” or cannot feel “Love”, then it explains that he cannot regenerate his “Ring” finger that is symbolically connected to one’s heart.
Not to mention, The Ring Finger is actually associated with a celestial object we are all familiar about. The Moon

Now, isn’t it interesting that the one who inflicted the curse is named “Moon”. And isn’t it more interesting that Toffee appeared right after the “Blood Moon Ball”? The moon that is dubbed as “The Moon of Lovers”?

And that brings us to Star and, to a certain extent, Marco. And the reason why he went through all the trouble of kidnapping Marco to get at Star. It is obvious that Toffee has big plans for Star ever since he first appeared.

He secretly smiled.
If we go with the theory that Toffee cannot regenerate his middle finger because he cannot feel the emotion called “Love”, then it can explain why he went after Star and went through the whole trouble of breaking the wands in half and penetrate it. It’s not just to get back at the Royal Family (particularly Moon and her precious daughter) or to get access to the power of the Universe (or Multi-verse for that matter).
He needs Star’s magic power which is powered mainly by “Love” or her passion for her friends. Remember, Star’s cheek symbol is also “Heart” which not only represents her personality, but also what kind of power she mainly wields. That is why he chose to break the wand in half and share half of her power. He also penetrated her memories that connects her to the wand by implanting his finger there.
I guess this is also why he was quite “disappointed” with Marco. With Star as his “key” to unlocking the curse, Marco plays an essential part not only as her partner and subject of her “Love” but also the other half of the two bonded soul together for eternity. Not to mention in Fortune Cookies, Star received a fortune that “A Great Evil has been unleashed”. To say it is “unleashed” showed that he was previously tied or chained somewhere and this happened right after the Blood Moon Ball. With Star and Marco being chosen to be “tied together for eternity” may have untied or freed Toffee “partly” from the curse.
Now that he managed to sap part of her powers and a large part of the Multiverse’s magic, it would explain Toffee’s last lines in the finale.
"Tell Star I'm coming for my finger."
With half of the wand in his hand, he can finally get his finger back.
=============================================================
This theory came up thinking on what could possibly Moon’s darkest spell. It should be something malicious enough to call it “dark” but at the same time not something so sadistic like being killed and remain kid-friendly curse. And the curse I come up with and makes sense is the curse to never feel “Love”.
Note: This theory was supposed to be posted months ago, but I got writer’s block and now I think it’s too late to post this because the movie is coming up and this theory might get debunked soon. Still, I decided to post this for what it’s worth.

We are madly in love with the SVTOFE episodes and SVTFOE clips we have been watching on the Disney XD channel and youtube lately.
We are also anticipating the February 2017 release of the SVTFOE Season 3 animated series episodes on Disney XD. We can't wait!
Star VS the Forces of Evil is such a wonderfully, magically, adorable show, so we wanted to make some SVTFOE pancake art for all the Starco fans!
Star vs. the Forces of Evil follows fun-loving magical teen princess, Star Butterfly, who -- after a few bold skirmishes with other-worldly monsters is sent by her royal parents to live with the Diaz family on Earth, bringing along her own unique inter-dimensional style to her new planet. With the Diaz's teenage son Marco by her side, this foreign exchange student from another dimension embarks on new adventures battling evil villains throughout the multiverse and in high school, all in an effort to protect her powerful magic wand, which she is still figuring out how to use.
History of SVTFOE Hekapoo:
Marco encounters Hekapoo in Running with Scissors. Hekapoo is the Scissors Enforcer and one of the members of the Magic High Commission. Hekapoo asks Marco where he got the scissors from, and he says he borrowed them from Princess Star Butterfly. Hekapoo doesn't believe him since she's the forger of all dimensional scissors and Star's scissors originally belonged to her. Wanting to return Star's scissors to her, Marco wishes to rightfully earn them from Hekapoo, so she gives him a challenge: she'll give him the scissors if he can blow out the flame floating above her head.
Marco's attempts at blowing out Hekapoo's flame prove difficult at first due to her quick speed. He tries to outsmart her, but she sends him to another dimension and over the edge of a cliff. Just before he falls, he succeeds in outwitting Hekapoo and blowing out her flame. Unfortunately, this Hekapoo is a fake, and Marco finds himself facing hundreds of Hekapoo duplicates. The real Hekapoo opens multiple dimensional portals, and she and her duplicates scatter into many different dimensions. She tells Marco that it could take him years to find her and offers him a way back home, but Marco is determined to get the scissors back no matter how long it takes.
Woot! Enjoy our Star VS the Forces of Evil Hekapoo pancake art!
