I've had an interesting day so far. I won't say it was bad, because I don't regret anything done. I texted my drifting best friend, basically an ultimatum, and though nothing has been resolved yet, and though I absolutely hate to say it, this might be the end of our closeness. She'll always be my sister but... yeah. So I did that, and I was crying the whole time. Then I went to books a million and found an avatar comic I didn't know was out and read it. Then I went to the cafe in bam to write, but the internet wasn't working so I had to leave, but not before buying my friend a graduation gift, with a gift card. Oh, I had also bought a Starbucks drink that morning with a gift card. I finally read my friends reply and I sat in my car in the parking lot sobbing, because I just felt so alone. I came to some revelations in that car. I cried and I cried and I called out to Jesus to hold me. It hurts, it hurts, I'm alone, hold me. I cried some more and I made loud noises and I leaned against my steering wheel with my head and I just. Had to raise my hands. I felt held and I felt it all come out and I cried harder. All this time, the music is playing. I don't remember what was playing at first, but the song Fix My Eyes came on and I just had to stop and laugh and raise my hands. Okay, I said, the first words I'd said out loud. I cried and I laughed and I said okay, okay, I hear you. I hear you. I hope I do, I think I do. I hear you. I sat there for a few more minutes, still crying, before I steeled myself, wiped my eyes, and drove away to Panera to get something to eat. There was a lot of traffic, so I was in the car for a while and various songs came on that just. Oh. The first one was Its Your Life, and then a song that said "you stood right there and you broke apart the lies, you told me I had something beautiful inside. You brought to life the part of me I thought had died, you stood right there until I saw me, I saw me trough your eyes" and I was crying again. I decided to go a different way to lessen the traffic and when I pulled into a road by my old school and I had to start laughing and crying again as I changed the channel and the song East to West came on. It was so typical. Just what I needed. I had been debating whether to go into Panera or go through the drive through, but then I got the sudden idea. I wanted to pay for the persons meal behind me. I wasn't getting that much and I had money and, after everything, I wanted to do something for someone else. When I got in line the song Holy Spirit by Francesca Battesteli came on and I had to laugh again bc it was /perfect/. I ordered and I paid for the woman behind me and I went home and then the final, perfect songs came on and I just had to smile and sing through tears. "Whatever you're doing inside of me, it feels like chaos but somehow there's peace. It's hard to surrender to what I can't see, but I'm giving in to something heavenly". And then the song To Live Is Christ. It was perfect. I got home and the people at Panera got my order completely wrong and put everything on my salad that I hate. It was the first time in a long time that I hadn't looked inside the bag before I left the window. All I could do was laugh. I wasn't even mad at all. Man, guys. God is good.
